Don was very thorough and answered all of our questions with patience and empathy and provided us reassurance on the areas we should emphasize during the unemployment hearing. We greatly appreciate his input and assistance as well as the prompt reply.

LegalShield is a FRAUD. They do not help you the way that you think. The lawyers lie to you and have you think they can, but THEY WON'T. ATTY ** IS A LIAR!!! First, she didn't believe that I was telling the truth because according to her "HER CLIENTS LIE TO GET MONEY". She followed up on a Landlord/ Tenant case that said "We have already taken care of this matter" which was connected to another case concerning a William Sanders Law representing me. She told me that I had a case, then a week later said "THE LAWYER DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WRONG" and backtracked everything she said to me a WEEK PRIOR. "You can't expect to get a steak on a hamburger budget" is what she said.

Have recommended many times. Efficient, clear, helpful information and process. Timely response. Have assisted with a diversity of legal questions and issues since I began subscription a few years ago. Peace of mind!

I have not used Legal Shield since 2021 and today I get an email saying "Welcome" and a confirmation of my subscription. Didn't do ANY of that. Then it says Legalshield will be charging me $299.40 A MONTH for a plan not listed on their pricing page. I NEVER SIGNED UP FOR THIS. This is absolutely absurd and predatory. Not only that, but my only way to cancel is to sent a written letter. I'm beyond upset, concerned for my financial safety, and unsure if this business is even legitimate.

This company was a complete waste of time. 3 different lawyers were assigned and neither did anything to help my case. One literally raised his voice at me causing me to just hang up. The next couldn't remember she talked to me a couple days ago and then hung up on me and never called back. I really feel like I just donated a monthly payment to this company because the lawyers do absolutely nothing. Very unprofessional. I'd like a refund and then terminate my contract. I rather just deal with real lawyers that actually want to help. My advice is to stay away from this company. I read the contract and they didn't even do what the contract says.

I've had Legal Shield for 5 years and it has steadily been on the decline. I requested a consult last week and they texted that they were about to call. I answered immediately and as soon as I said hello and they realized I answered they hung up. I patiently awaited another phone call hoping it had been an accident. Another call never came that day. The following day I received a text stating they were about to call and this time it was worse. I never received a call. I had to call customer service and wait on hold for over an hour just to schedule a call for the following day because that day was booked.

May problem is still pending. My experience so far has been excellent. A billing dispute I am having was addressed by the attorney expeditiously. Issue is still pending and I am waiting for resolution. As of this point in the process I am very satisfied with Legal Shield.

Thought this was going to be answer to my prayers. I pay too much in child support and now make less than when I signed. I need it adjusted yet can’t afford a lawyer. This service offers family service and of course, they don’t offer child support help. I was bummed out. Girl on the phone tried to upsell me something that I didn’t need, so just fyi they are no different than any other lawyer. Just trying to get your money while not helping or caring about you.

Unfortunately I don't have a good review for this company. I was going through some personal things and felt like I needed an attorney's opinion or representative but instead I got charged monthly for something that lacks luster. The person that I initially spoke with sold me hook line and sinker would not let me get off of the phone without selling me their services. Boy do I regret it. I never been so disappointed!! If it's not the confusion of not being able to speak with a real attorney until you jump through several hoops and dodged calls and so called missed returned calls. Their app is confusing when I tried to upload documents it down. I was told I would need to do it all over again. Unless you have money to throw out of the window I would advise don't consider this option!!! My best advice.

They do a real good job with everything we take to them. My last one I worked with them was okay but I think they could have done better. But I would recommend them highly.

I've used Legal Shield before with absolutely NO issues. After request for service, the referred attorney began ok, then a battle began back & forth w/ the attorney & other parties. As of today 10/17/24 the other parties refused to reimburse me for the car water pump & as of today I have not received the Touchscreen! I would NOT use the attorney referred! It was terrible experience.

Extremely apathetic; makes lazy appear as luxury. When I opened the account, I was informed that my matter involving a landlord / tenant dispute would be a personal matter, and as such it required a regular plan; however, after the account was established I was referred to Parker & Stansburry out of Los Angeles. Their offices advised me that the matter was not personal, but business and I would need a business account to resume forward.

They don't do half what is expected. The firm I've been assigned to is mainly retired attorneys who don't do half what they once did. I've been a member over a decade. Instead of assigning you now your inquiry goes into a pool for someone to pick up. Once the standard was a call back in 4 hours, now they say 8, but I've waited days. One was supposed to call Thursday, but didn't get a call until after 9pm Friday night. He sounded like he'd had too much to drink. It's gone downhill.

I found it really difficult to connect with a lawyer through LegalShield when I was in urgent need. The process involves a lot of back-and-forth messaging to share details, which can be time-consuming. They don’t typically inform you when they’ll call, so it’s a matter of when they’re available. If I’m in a meeting and can’t talk at that moment, it leads to even more waiting, which is frustrating. With a three-day holiday coming up, it will be stressful for me not to be able to contact a lawyer about my issue. I hope they can develop a more efficient system.

In regards to Legal Shield company rep Nicole **. Consult was scheduled for 9/13. No call received. Consult was rescheduled for 9/17. No call received. Followed up and she advised that Client said he couldn’t afford services. Spoke with client, he advised he never spoke with her. Tried several times to reschedule. Admin kept disconnecting and transferring the call. We were advised Nicole was not available and was told she would call back. Legal Shield rep did not ask for our callback information, such as our phone number, email etc. Then the call was disconnected.

We have our membership since Feb 2010 that cover Trial defense hours for both personal and home business that has been work out well until Oct 2024 when we find out our plan got changed without our consent in May 2022 as we need Trial defense hours for small business. The top manager, Liz at customer care 1-800-654-7757 call me on 10/3/24 and suggest to add additional Trial defense to cover for small business that was taken away by LegalShield in May 2022. But I end up remove both Trial Defense (can not be used for home business) and Business Supplement on 10/7 as Liz change her story and avoid to talk to me on by pretending she cannot hear me when I was able to hear from her on the phone, etc....

My attorney that was assigned to help me in a do it yourself divorce was extremely helpful. Besides sending me the forms answered the questions I had from the forms. Yes, many times I googled the VA statutes referred to on the forms but there were several instances I still did not know how to answer. Then she reviewed the forms after I filled them out so when I finally got them all filled in correctly.

I appreciate the time Mr. ** spent with me. He offered great advise and handled my request timely.

I do not understand why your prices keep rising. I know the cost of everything has gone up. We call and get minimal time with an attorney to explain our situation. The most I get is a letter sent to the person I am calling about. Are there any more benefits I can receive. Tell me about all my benefits I would greatly appreciate it.

I called with a question concerning being questioned by police and my rights during a detainment. Attorney ** answered my questions and even sent me a pamphlet from the ACLU. But she also said that even though I had rights, police would usually violate them, and face no consequences. There is the law, and then there is reality. Why yes reading this review seems awful, but your answers to my questions were spot on.

I contacted LegalShield to assist with a tenant/landlord issue regarding a security deposit issue after move out. They put me in touch with a local law firm who was well versed on these types of matters. They took in my information, had some follow-up questions, and within a few days we had a certified letter out to the landlord disputing the charges. The landlord is a big corporation and responded to my letter. Not only did they waive the charges they were attempting to collect from me, they issued me a refund on my security deposit. LegalShield kept me from having to pay money that I shouldn't have had to pay and I am very thankful for their service.

Service is great, they solved my problem in a timely manner and very professional way. My attorney was in touch with me on every single step of my case in to got solved it. I'm very please working with this law firm.

This place is a scam.. I contacted them for advice. On what type of attorney was recommended for my specific situation. Without my consent or knowledge, they set me up for autopay, charging me 30$ a month for the simple ONE TIME answer of "you need a consumer attorney".. When I realized that I was being charged automatically each month, I called to get taken off and be reimbursed... They said that I would no longer be charged..2 months later, I'm being charged again.. When I called them, they tell me that I needed to mail in a cancelation confirmation in order to quit my membership..... They are very twisted and not trustworthy.. Stay away

I was having trouble getting a response from an insurance company related to a non-injury vehicle accident. I reached out to LegalShield. Our previous contact was no longer with the firm assigned to us. However, I got a prompt response letting me know that and then an immediate follow up from a new contact. I was very pleased with the prompt service and experience I had with the attorney who reached out.

My first experience using Legalshield was fantastic. I was unsure of the level of service that would be provided, but I was incredibly surprised. It is very long wait to finally talk to someone. I never get helped. It is a scam. They don't even give me a refund that I asked for. I don't recommend to anyone. They don't do anything just you need to pay monthly for a membership.

The reason why I gave 5 stars it's because he went above to make sure that my letters were received and sent. We went over the action on the matter. The only problem was, we were playing phone tag for a while. And it seems as though that's what happens a lot trying to get through. It could be my work hours. Hopefully, we can resolve the matter without any further issues developing... In the landlord-tenant matter.

I got help and information I needed. I also got excellent advice.

Overall, this is a pretty good service. But with my last call into an attorney they were simply wrong in their advice to me. I know this because I also spoke to one other attorney and the TN Department of Commerce and Insurance. You just have to realized that these lawyers don't represent you. They are really like consultants giving you advice so that if the advice happens to be wrong there is no real consequence to them. So when you call in you will get a random attorney and some are better than others. But they all will shoot from the hip with their legal advice and sometimes it's wrong and sometimes it's right. You have to have the ability to sort it out on your own. Overall, I recommend the service. It's a great value.

I've had them for over 10 years. They haven't successfully helped me once. This service is trash. I'm considering pursuing litigation against LegalShield to return the payments I've made to them over the years.

My assigned attorney responded quickly and took the time to hear my questions and review my concerns. Sound and reasonable advice were delivered in a timely manner. I am very grateful for the service I have received, thank you very much.

Swift same day service. Gave me advice on how to manage a promissory note situation. I was able to execute my agreement expeditiously. The advise I was given actually had me revise the note in a way that aligned the loaner and loaner to be company to company.

I used PPL for many years. In the past they were responsive and pretty effective for advice, legal letters and referrals. The last few times they haven’t been responsive, effective and only wanted to convert you to a fee customer. $360 is not worth that level of service. I dropped them after 25 years.

After 15 years of paying the fee. I called to use the service but was told that I couldn't because I was the SECONDARY member on their records. The Primary member is my ex-wife. The fee was taken out of my single owner bank account all those years (after the divorce) and now they are telling me the membership isn't mine. I paid for it but it isn't mine. I asked them, in what world is it right that they could take those thousands of dollars from me, refuse the service and not refund the money. Of course there was no answer for that. They are perfectly happy to be a bunch of thieves. Don't be fooled by their robo reply inviting me to call. Calling was how I found out about this in the first place and they insisted there was nothing they could do about it, federal reserve rules blah blah blah.

I am member for Legal Shield for years, and I rejoin their service, I was very disappointed by my legal team and Supervisory Attorney Steven ** from Merritt Webb NC, he is very lazy and do nothing. I made a complaint and nothing happen. So I cancel my membership because it was zero benefits provide to me. US District Court wants to sign me the IRS some legal documents and I asked for help with Legal Shield and they said, it is Federal matter and we do not help this, they did not help before few on my few cases.

I have been trying unsuccessfully for 10 days now to get LegalShield to cancel my membership. They just email me they are working on it. How hard can this be? It's not brain surgery!!! It's a membership.

Good service, great advice from lawyers, but Legal Shield overcharges their customers. When you contact them about it and provide proof, they deny overcharging you and want more money. They're extremely greedy and unprofessional. First, they charged me $29.95 on March 4th, 2024. No problem. But then they charged me $29.95 on March 11th, 2024. Problem. That's charging me twice in one month. The fee is supposed to be $29.95 a month. Then on April 27th, 2024, they charged me $59.90. That's the cost for 2 more months.

I got an answer from the lawyer and I wasn't happy with it. I haven't received a FU call. The case was not resolved and actually, the process stopped. I hope to hear back from the lawyer. Can you help me out?

Been with Legal Shield for about 15+ years now. As a military retiree and 100% disabled veteran has found this service invaluable for basic legal services. First time experience was an SSDI claim in Denver Colorado that I needed help with in 2006 that I filed in 2003. Was assigned an excellent female lawyer that got my claim approved before an ALJ SSA Judge in 2006.

They answered all my questions regarding labor law, and tenant law in a professional and accurate manner. They returned my called back the same day and some more difficult questions in less than a week. It is worth the money. You will expend more money if you do it with a particular lawyer.

Every time I have called Legal Shield, the people that I have talked to have always been very kind and help. I would recommend them to anyone looking for good lawyers. My son has used them for a long time and he is the one that recommended them to me.

We sold primary residence but never got the Trust changed. Needed to know how and what needed to be said. We were given sample form and directions on how to revise the Trust. I completed the form and submitted it to the provider for approval. Very thorough and clear.

I had a problem with this new computer system uploading and downloading documents, first everyone does not have a computer or the aging population does not have the knowledge to operate the requirements that was requested. Items were lost and had to be sent twice which held up the time to complete the process.

Advice on revoking a trust. The trustee is not willing to agree on removing him as the trustee. The trustee has been served with the notarized revocation letter. However, he will not sign a quit deed, which removes his name and restores the beneficiary as the sole owner.

I purchased the $59.99 a month for help from LegalShield. After speaking with two of their lawyers, I ended the service immediately. If you need to do some quick legal documents and you don’t have an estate etc. Then this service will be great for you. If you can afford a lawyer where you live and your case is more complex, I would go local. Great app though, well coded.

I contacted my Legal Shield rep for my area and received great service and guidance for updating my will. I was able to print good copies of the will questionnaire. My wife and I filled out all the information required and mailed it to the main office.

The answers they provided answered my questions and seemed credible. They got back to me within a day via a phone call: I appreciated the expedience. The attorney I spoke with had experience in the area of law my question was about.

This is an honest review and I have documentation to prove it. I joined Legal Shield because I read the positive reviews and believed it to be a reputable company that saves members a lot of money on legal fees. I have needed legal representation for a few years now, so I joined Legal Shield and even added extra coverage for legal representation. I have been under an unlawful restraining order for more than five years that has destroyed my reputation and prevented me from having contact with my adult disabled son. It also affected my housing, so that I've suffered HUD-landlord retaliation and cyber stalking for nearly three years.

Every attorney has been very helpful every time I called the firm and I'm not sure what I would do without this service and the money I've saved. I've been referred to a firm out of state to deal with my dad's probate and I got a really good deal on recovering his documents.

I do not recommend Legalshield and wish I didn't waste all that money on membership. I attempted twice to make use of the service and in both cases I was turned away. The latest time due to being sued by a former tenant in small claims for a security deposit; and coincidentally some small print in their very one-sided contract doesn't cover such cases, even though it clearly states that small claims are covered. In addition, one of the lawyers I did speak to (Mr. **, I think his name was) was so condescending by saying "like I just told you", as if clarification and or further questioning were a bother; and when I confronted them, his response was "I can't teach you law over the phone". Horrible service overall and it is a shame that Primerica endorses them.

Review of Contract documents on a Real Estate Sale and possibly a new real estate purchase. It was well done. Please don't assume you know the ins/outs of the legal contract have a lawyer look at it and advise especially if the contract is from out of State. I am very pleased I elected to verify the terms instead of possibly losing most of the sale proceeds paying excessive and/or hidden fees.

Attorney Andrew ** called back promptly. He was polite, friendly and professional. His advice was sound and I followed it confidently. Most importantly, I did not feel rushed to complete the call, although I'm sure he had other calls to make that day.

Once upon a Time this service was beneficial, but things apparently has changed dramatically with the representation they use by Parker Stanbury Attorneys at Law in LA CA. Horrific communication and willingness to help. Save your money.

Legal Shield canceled my membership. I think I annoyed them. They are fine for simple things. Like for example, I needed a renter's agreement. That was fine. Straightforward issues are fine for this app. I had a complex issue with my mom, who has dementia. My relative was doing illegal things. It's a big mess. I wasn't given helpful information. I needed to get consultations from lawyers who had high recommendations on Yelp. I also asked friends for recommendations. That worked far better than Legal Shield.

Everything was handled professionally. I was told that everything was put in the mail then I received another call about the matter for more information which was given then the packet was mailed to me.

Hiring legal counsel for 2 questions, paying for a retainer, and of course-talking to them about more than one issue or event is next to impossible, expensive, or frankly-seems absolutely unnecessary. Or so I thought. Let’s face it-who has thousands of dollars to just throw at someone to be on a retainer for minor questions and guided assistance? This-this is exactly what we needed and I have absolutely loved the ease and the continued support that we’ve received. Just being able to say, “according to my attorney” and following up with “you’ll be hearing from my attorney” is a conversation and tone changer. I tell everyone about this service all the time now. Even if you don’t think you need it-you do. I even have my family covered, my husband and I have completed services that we put off with such ease-I feel like we should have done this years ago! Highly recommend!

There's been several incidents whereas I've needed help or advice and I've always at least spoke with someone to be guided in the right directions whether I got all the help I wanted or not. Other times having letters sent, phone calls made or scheduling referrals for counseling, they've made the effort to do what was stated. They will always return your calls and give notice for when they're going to call so you can prepare.

The lawyer reviewed my documents regarding an easement dispute from a post divorce judgment, and was knowledgeable concerning easements. The response was very quick the first day. Still waiting for the next lawyer, but documents were more involved. I am very pleased with the service.

LegalShield has a “federal reserve policy” that shields them from refunding consumers after 60 days. Legalshield connected me with Powers Chapman law firm who informed me in one email that they could not offer me legal help. I expected a full refund. What I received instead was hitting yet another wall of potential help being protected by legal policies and “no, we do not owe you your money back for services we could not come through with”. No, there is no affordable legal help. The subscription backfired.

The lawyer was very kind. After I explained what help was needed, I realized he was very knowledgeable and understanding. He gave me some good pointers and willing to help with future problems on this matter. I would have no problem recommending him to anyone that may need his services.

Carl has been very responsive with good advice on how to proceed and what documentation was needed. He has clearly communicated each step with the next being a Demand Letter and he will be enlisting my input and approval before it is issued.

The quality of legal advice and concern has deteriorated dramatically since when I started. Only exception was Melissa ** recently. This is hardly worth having. You routinely blow me off and refuse to help. I rarely call in and when I do, it’s rarely worth the effort.

After belonging to Legalshield for several years they decided not to remedy a situation on the local level. Several demands for payment were sent to the wrong party. Rather than correct and resend they chose to sever my membership. Legal shield corporate said if local lawyers Davis Miles choose to not help you any longer that’s their decision. Spineless and no backbone to correct the problem. All that was needed was a name and address change. Pathetic.

I've spoken to several attorneys of the same cases. Some conversations are very short, like only 2 or 3 minutes. One recent attorney was rude, intimidating and aggressive. I don't think none of these attorneys specialize on the kind of law I need to know. I did speak to 2 attorneys who spent decent amount of time and can give me more elaborated answers. They have the right specialty. Is it worthy of my money? I think so.
