I received a very questionable/threatening email and due to circumstances that our family is currently going thru, could have been legit. Our Provider firm very strongly directed me to call the police asap, which I did, eventually finding out that it was a scam about money. Very grateful for their help, and peace of mind to know what to do based on their expertise.

I was very pleased with how the LegalShield law firm in Texas handled my lease review and follow up conversation. After a major storm, the rental office of the property I'd lived at for 10 years was now requiring all residents to secure renters insurance before the next lease renewal. Without proof of insurance, they would not renew the lease and gave a small window of time to move out. I contacted the TX law firm to see what my rights were and was relieved to find the rental office staff was taking advantage of the tenant's ignorance. I've used my LegalShield membership a few times in connection with consumer complaints. One was with Sprint and another more recent one was with DirecTV. I spoke with a knowledgeable attorney the same day upon each issue (years apart). Both issues had to do with the companies not delivering on their service contracts. Upon the attorney reviewing the contracts (which were also reviewed by LegalShield at no charge at the point of agreement), letters were written to both companies demanding compliance. Sprint jumped right away to make things right whereas sadly, DirecTV didn't, so they lost my business for good. As a result of those LegalShield letters however, Sprint has never again questioned me regarding phone warranty replacements in the years since, and DirecTV did not bill me for the time period left in their contract, for they were made aware in writing that they were in violation of both it and the services contract on the receiver.

This is an excellent service and everyone needs it. This service provides access to the legal system for all members of our society. I strongly recommend the services.

I currently rent where I live and found out that the property is in foreclosure because the landlord has not been paying the mortgage. LegalShield has been wonderful in helping me to understand the process of foreclosure and Sheriff Sale. The attorney also informed me of my rights as a tenant.

Arrived at the airport at 11am for a 1pm flight from Bloomington, IL through Denver to Las Vegas for our LegalShield National Convention last April. The flight was canceled until 3am the following day. We were handed a slip of paper with the airline's 800 number on it and told to make our own arrangements. My fellow associate and I drove to another airport and made other arrangements to get to Las Vegas.

We had a moving company cause damage to some of our items, and they strung us out for months saying that an adjuster would be in touch. Members are guaranteed a response time of 8 business hours when calling the provider law firm. My experience was much better. I was having lunch when my provider firm responded to my initial call of approximately 2 hours earlier. I was told that I needed to speak to an attorney in Nevada since the matter required an attorney practicing in that state. Before I finished my lunch, a Nevada attorney called me which impressed me immensely.

Last year, LegalShield saved me over $1200 for a mess I got myself in just by writing one letter. I bought a laptop by getting a zero interest credit card for 18 months. Not trusting myself to be on time with my payments, I arranged to have my bank mail my checks out for me. I thought I was being smart, however, I forgot to mark my calendar for the 18 month mark when my rate would go up... So when that day came, I was not paying attention as I was confident my bills were being paid. Then one day, I realized my rate had gone up to 22% and I had racked up a bunch of extra charges because my minimum payment amount had gone up. My bill was higher than my original purchase (which I had already paid back)!

T-mobile was dropping service would not respond for a month. LegalShield provider law firm wrote a letter and T-mobile responded with repayment and terminated the contract.

I love the membership. The attorneys are helpful for the most part. We did get our will done and have used the attorneys many times. The identity theft is awesome. I lost my wallet a couple years ago and they helped me to get everything replaced.

I bought a Xbox 1 and it had a 14 day return policy. Came back and returned it at original store with receipts and original packaging. They said that the serial number box didn't match up with the receipt. 1 hour back and forth with the clerk I left with my Xbox 1 and I was furious. I called LegalShield, they provided me with doc reviews and sent a letter to the corporate office. Two days later I get a phone call from the store manager and they asked me to come back, get my full refund of +600 and also will include 50 dollar gift card for the inconvenience. I call that Legal Muscle!!!

I was a member for only three weeks when I made a purchase of two irons at a kiosk in a mall for $145. The irons stayed hot five minutes and left brown spots on a shirt. It was unwearable. I returned to the mall to get a refund. I was told no refunds, exchange for another iron. Manager would not talk to me so I told the young lady to have her manager call by the next day or she would hear from my attorney. They rolled their eyes, probably had heard that before.

I had an issue back in 2005 rushing my brother to the emergency room. He had an allergic reaction and couldn't breathe. On the way I was pulled over by an officer who agreed to follow me. At the emergency room he gave me a ticket for driving 100mph in 50mph speed zone. I pleaded not guilty and an attorney showed up in court and represented me. He found that the officer wrote the ticket wrong and the judge threw it out of court. This saved me $600 in fines, 11pts a suspension and I could have faced 30 days in jail. Upon having internet, satellite TV and private phone bundled I noticed our monthly bill didn't come down as promised and the prior satellite TV service was still listed on monthly bills. Several calls to the Customer Service Dept. resulted in no changes. Finally the utility asked if I had cancelled the prior TV service. I answered, "No, that was your responsibility since they were a vendor of yours and I was buying TV service from you". I called the prior TV service and asked for a $386 refund for services that were NOT USED, nor did I have their DVR for that service. That went on for past 6 months. They refused to refund these charges. I contacted LegalShield and their attorneys wrote a letter to the telephone company explaining the situation and a full refund was received 17 days later. Am I happy with LegalShield? You bet!

I purchased an over the counter flea product and put it on my 3 labs. Two of them started to wobble and bounce off the walls when walking. I have been using this service for 10 years. If I did not have it, I would never be able to get legal advice. In addition to advice, I have also gotten legal services at little or no cost, for everything from real estate to divorce to traffic tickets. My family has also used the services. The quality of the service has been excellent but not perfect. Of course I wish that everything was covered at 100%, but that is not possible for the small price I pay ($17 a month). So I am very happy that everything that is not 100% free is still covered at 25%.

I've had this service for several years and I can confidently say, I'll never be without it. The peace of mind my family has as a result of being members is priceless. We've used it for outstanding debts (I'm an entertainer and some promoters are guilty of 'slow pay' or 'no pay'. BUT when my lawyers get involved, I GET PAY), warranty issues (companies like my cell phone provider, think they can bully us into taking refurbished phones instead of NEW ones. I have been a member for 11 years and I have used this membership on numerous occasions. My son was away at college hundreds miles away and him and his friends got into a fighting situation which resulted in over a hundred people fighting. Which was composed of people from within the establishment and college students. One time, my oldest son and some friends were messing around. For some reason, my son decided to kick a car and put a huge dent in it. We called our attorney's. We paid for the damage and had the father fill out a form not to come back on us.

I was leaving work on my motorcycle from Fort Bragg, NC. I was rushing to get home, and didn't realize I was speeding 80 mph in a 55 mph zone. Was pulled over by police, also on a motorcycle.
