My wife and I have been members since 2006. We have used it for many things, including an adoption, property issues, our wills and even the new member benefits in which we saved over $800 in one day. We won't be without it.

I have used my LegalShield membership over 75 times in the 4 years I have been a member. From dealing with hotel problems, to gym membership contract issues, LegalShield has saved me thousands of dollars and takes the stress out of dealing with life events that a normal family deals with day-to-day. LegalShield is a Godsend.

I have used my membership five times and with each time, I was given a knowledgeable and conscientious attorney who helped either with advice or action. I cannot imagine NOT having my membership and would highly recommend it to anyone!

I've been a member of LegalShield since 2000. An amazing company...I'd rather go without food than my LegalShield. They have helped me year after year without additional cost. Great company.

My husband never speeds, however, received a ticket in another state. We scanned and emailed our ticket to our law firm, they contacted the law firm in the other state. They were able to negotiate his ticket from $480 to $180 and no points so our insurance did not increase. I would highly recommend the LegalShield service.

I had a great experience, the attorney was excellent.

I called AT&T to add a line of service to my cell phone. I was told I had a collection item for $175 from the "mid 90's" on my account that must be paid before they would extend any additional service to me. I simply called my provider law firm, completed a form and several weeks later received an apology letter from AT&T! After researching my account, it was determined that, during an acquisition by AT&T of my previous carrier, my account showed delinquent. It wasn't, I didn't owe the money, we want your business so come see us! That one event saved me most of a year's membership!

Once again the Legal Service Plan assisted my husband and I with having access to a Tax Attorney when sitting with our Tax preparer last month, March of 2015. Our questions for the Tax Attorney were in regard to the 50% inheritance of my husband's mother's estate and more specifically her stock and bond portfolio. The tax attorney was surprised to learn that our Tax preparer failed to recognize that our tax liability was limited to the "stepped up" value of her portfolio based on her date of death. We were not responsible for the entire gain on those stocks and bonds. We had the portfolio assessment on her date of death (1.22.14) and when we sold those instruments we actually experienced a loss in value and thus have no tax liability! The original news is us owing over $20k in capital gains! Thank you LegalShield AGAIN!!!

In 2013 my children's father died. I filed my claim in March for his SS. SS told me I could collect only from the time filed until receipt of first payment which was approximately $2,000. LegalShield helped me collect the full $10,000 due me.

I've used the services on a few small issues that in the past I always just cut my losses, because it wasn't much but when they say, use LegalShield for anything, small or large, I used it. It "seriously" works and all I do is "just" pay my monthly service. What I also use a lot is the benefits and that saves me a lot.

We recently had an issue with our cell phone carrier where they were threatening to disconnect us for unpaid balance. I called my law firm and spoke to an attorney that spent over 45 minutes on the phone with me going over every detail of how money was misapplied, late charges added on top of usage charges, etc. He then advised me on how to proceed by recommending that I do the first step per his instructions and if that didn't work, he would do the next step. I followed his instructions and was SO surprised that it worked and was resolved! We even got a $50 credit for our trouble. We love that our law firm is friendly and knowledgeable.

Last summer LegalShield helped me get a refund from a hotel that would not make good on the promise they made. A letter from LegalShield law firm to their HQ was all it took to get the $429 refund they promised. Last week an attorney patiently talked with me about buying my first home. I learned so much. I've used my LegalShield Membership several times over the last 20 years. They gave help w/ traffic tickets, a parking ticket, elder care guidance, and business guidance. I would not be without it. A small monthly fee for access and power.

My mother recently switched cable TV service providers (let's call them big Blue and big Red). When she moved her services from big Blue to big Red, big Red linked her account to mine. LegalShield attorneys have been my personal heroes on so many situations! From speeding tickets, to letter they wrote, advice etc... I used to them for so many things! But the closest one to my heart, is when I was trying to get my son to move to the USA from Africa. Although He told me that immigration was an area covered at a discounted rate, and wasn't part of the free coverage (I had no problem paying for it), the attorney suggested that instead of hiring him, and take advantage of 25% discount (off the published rate) he'd give me, I could simply use his counsel get it done myself.

I initially applied over 12 years ago to get my will done which you have reviewed and executed by an Estate Planning and Probate Law Specialist included at no extra cost. I would say that having and using these Plans has really allowed me to have a higher quality of life. I call my attorneys for advice on anything and everything, helping me make wiser decisions in day to day transactions. They have written letters on my behalf whenever I've been treated unfairly by Servicing Companies (phone, cable, hospital claims). Also having a contract reviewed before signing it gives me great comfort knowing an expert Contract Specialist is protecting my best interest as opposed to the counterpart.

We've had a LegalShield/IDT membership for 10 years. It has been very helpful when needing advice for consumer problems to estate planning.

I used LegalShield to assist me in obtaining a Lump Sum payment that was being held up because a former address on the legal papers was being used to submit the payment to, instead of my address at the time. Even though I sent certified letters informing the agency of my current address, they refused to send it there. My Law Firm didn't call this agency, didn't write them a letter - they FAXED a letter requesting release of my funds to my current address, and WITHIN TWO DAYS I had the lump sum payment AND an apology from that agency. I have decided to be a member for the rest of my life, and I believe in it so much I pay for the memberships of my adult children!

I have contacted the law firm and asked for advice. I have found the answers to questions being very direct. Not much consultation or options given for forward actions. It is very difficult for our members to call the law firm sometimes. A little more care and dialogue would be beneficial.

I have several different insurance plans in place to protect my family. LegalShield is another one of those protections. I certainly do not ever want to need it, but it is there when I do. Unfortunately though in today's world, we find ourselves taking advantage of using it almost on a monthly basis to protect or enforce our rights or even for the peace of mind to know what our rights are. I have been a member since 1998 and utilized the service many times over the years and will always continue to use it. I've been a LegalShield member since 2008, and I'll never be without it! I've spoke to our top rated law firm numerous times over the years and have never received a bill for their advice. I have had a speeding ticket reduced and another moving violation dismissed. I've had a letter written for me for medical services charged to me (when I never even visited the medical clinic) and they finally agreed to remove all charges. Another time, my long time property manager seemed to think I wasn't current on my security deposit. My attorney's letter disabused them of that notion. I have been a Pre-Paid Legal/LegalShield member since May 2003, and now can't imagine life without it. I have called for legal advice 80 times and always got the answer I needed to get. Twice I didn't like the answer, but I needed to know where I stood and the attorneys did their job and told me. Every other time, I felt better after getting advice, and many times attorneys have written letters on my behalf and the letters always got action, or got people from contacting me again. My husband and I have used the services numerous times. Once it saved us $21,00 on our mortgage. Another time $16,00 for a problem with a government teacher licencing problem. A few weeks ago I was backing out of a parking space very slowly. Another was right behind me. I made contact. I have used my LegalShield membership about 10-12 times in the past 3 years, for traumatic situations and for trivial stuff. Recently I ordered a $20 item online and was sent the wrong thing. My wife is a Court Reporter, several attorneys owed her for depositions she had taken for them. She had attempted to collect from them but no response. When I call the firm I'm told it will be 8 hours to hear from attorney. It's usually within 2 hours. The attorneys are always understanding and thorough. I appreciate that. They relieve any stress I may have and make sure I know that they are there to assist me.

I have been a LegalShield member for 5 years and have used this service on numerous occasions and the Identity Theft service on a few occasions. I was relieved when I called the ID theft investigators who told me they had found my email address and password on a site known to be frequented by hackers and that I should change my password today. When a large national company ripped me off to be able to have an attorney write to them and receive compensation in the sum of $900 (which paid for my membership for years by the way.) Having a quality legal plan and an identity theft restoration program to surround my family and protect me and them is worth far more than the "candy bar a day" I pay. I don't always hear what I want to hear but I sure do prefer to know my rights that not know them and effectively not have any!

I love my LegalShield membership. While I was at work I had a someone who called me saying that they were going to have a warrant put on me and have me arrested for some kind of bill they said I owed. This had me so mad that I could barely think about anything else and not my job. So on my lunch break I called LegalShield. I spoke with a attorney. I gave them the number and told me it was a scam and don't give them anything. However I was still bothered by this phone call. So I called the attorney back. They got on the phone with me and we called these bill collectors together putting the end to all of the phone calls. I was so happy that I was able to call a attorney on my lunch break not one time but twice. And that was very helpful.

Every time I have an issue, even if I'm not sure if it's a legal issue or not, I will call the law firm and they are always ready and willing to give me advice. I was in a car accident and the attorney told me what to say and not say to the other insurance company. I received a post card from another company saying that I was entitled to free product and compensation and the law firm took the time to research it to make sure it was real and not a scam (it was real and I received my free products and money). I asked for it to be returned and they hung up. I called LegalShield and they wrote two letters to the company. After the 2nd one, I received $600!

LegalShield attorneys helped with a $19.95 issue with DirecTV. They wrote a letter on my behalf requesting a refund of $19.95 for shipping a receiver to me. They also assisted on a $70 K summons for something my "ex" didn't take care of. It was excused in 14 days. Cost to me...postage to send the documents US postal "Certified." Yes...I love LegalShield.

I've been a Member for 18 years, & used the service dozens of times for personal/business legal in 3 States with 3 different provider Law Firms. Always excellent, fast, helpful & never a bill.

I would like to say without this service I don't know where me and my family would be. Most likely being taken advantage of! When I first became a member my property manager was trying to force my family out of the house we had been calling home for the last three years. With all the many lies and bullying. At the end of the rope, I found LegalShield. Within a two week span I received the advice and consultation that I needed to take a stand. I had gotten in touch with the owners of the house and had informed them of the wrongdoing committed by the property manager. After a twenty minute conversation I had received a new lease agreement with the homeowners and the property manager was fired. It has brought back a sense of security and knowing that no matter what our problem is, we will always have someone there to help us. Regardless of the situation.

I've been an associate and Legal Plan Member since 12/1999. I added the LegalShield rider a few years later when it was available. My sponsor is Brian Carruthers and when IDT became available I enrolled in that too. I made FSQ and Director right away when I first started. I was living in Metro DC area of Virginia when I first signed up. I paid my memberships faithfully all that time. For the most part it's been a rewarding experience and I would never be without the membership.

IN the last week I called for advice on 4 separate legal matters; 1) IRS tax questions, 2) Real Estate Trustee advice, 3) Auto Insurance dispute, and 4) Wrongful collections matter. I had a health inspector come to my front door investigating a complaint lodged by one of my neighbors. He informed me that he needed to go into my backyard to investigate the cause of the complaint. I told him that he was not going into my backyard. He told me that he had the right to go into my backyard. I simply told him "let's see what my attorney has to say about this", picked up the phone, brought up the LS app, called the attorney and handed the health inspector the phone. She told him he did not have the right to enter my property without either a court order or my permission. Since I had the phone on speakerphone I was able to hear the entire conversation. I loved the look on his face when the lawyer told him that. Knowing that I could access an attorney when I needed one like that is priceless.

My wife and I have been Members for 2 1/2 years. We believe that this is an important service to have. We saved a lot of money getting The Will, Healthcare POA, & Living Will that's included. We've used it for the Library of Legal Forms which we have had reviewed by a LS Attorney, also included. We've also had other Contracts reviewed. Also, on 2 separate occasions we had Companies claim that we owed money when we didn't, and each a LS Attorney sent a Letter and we never heard from those Companies again. We've also called several times just for advice and still have not received an Attorney's Bill in the mail for any of that Service. We feel completely secure with our Identity Theft Plan.

I've had LegalShield since 2009, called on over 3 dozen issues, had letters written, estate planning done and just gotten advice on items I needed direction on. I love knowing I can always call an attorney without getting charged for the call....that alone, for me, has been worth its weight in gold. It's not a magic bullet and some of the answers didn't err on my side but at least I knew what the law said. Attorneys are people too, they're not perfect and they have bad days. But when I needed to, I was able to call the corporate office and get help. I didn't get that with law firms I'd hired pre-LegalShield. And the identity theft with Kroll is hands-down the best I've ever had at half the price. I can only guess that those who've been disappointed, didn't understand what they were purchasing.

Every time I use my service, I am continuously impressed. It doesn't matter the nature of my call, the staff who answer the phone are always courteous and thorough, letting me know how soon I should expect a return call from the lawyer specializing in that area of law. I have always received the return call within the time frame given. The attorneys are eager to speak with me, and are patient, confident, and happy to talk as long as I need. I have also sent docs for review and received helpful feedback in less than 3 days. I love this service and I love having access to my rights. I will NEVER be without it and recommend it to everyone! I have used my LegalShield membership several times in the past couple of years. Each occasion I have been impressed with the high level of professionalism and customer service. The attorneys have returned my calls on average within one. They have always patiently listened then fully explained my available options.

My wife received email to view a derogatory remark on her credit monitoring. A credit company said she was 90-day past from a ER bill in PA using her name and address and her SS# saying she owes $700 for a hospital visit. We called Kroll and they sent a sample validation letter we used but the collection company disregarded our request demanding copies of her SS card and Driver's License. Then we called our LegalShield provider attorney who also wrote a letter to them and we have not been bothered by them since. This was all included in our $29.90 monthly membership fee.

I have been a member with LegalShield for over 13 years and have utilized the service over 70 times. The best part of this membership is that it addresses the everyday challenges I face in this unfair society. From making decisions to insurance policies to having the much needed help and backing of a great attorney when people treated our family unjustly, LegalShield has given us peace in the most of storms. Recently, we received a speeding ticket while traveling to a neighboring state. We were able to fax that ticket to our law firm, they contacted the law firm in the state we were cited in and they contacted the DA and negotiated a very small fee to keep it off of our record. This happened by making one phone call to our firm and we didn't have to leave our home. The power of having this type of resource and access to a system that we really can't afford has more value than anything I can think of at the moment.

After discovering charges on my bank statement that were not mine I worked with my bank to get it resolved. 8 1/2 years ago I was scammed in real estate investments that was devastating. My realtor told me about LegalShield and how great their real estate attorneys and tax attorneys were. Never more thankful. Not only did they collect on a real estate matter in a different state than I lived in ($785), but it was pre-existing. Tried on my own, with no response. Between that and getting a $303.00 refund and no points on my record for a traffic citation, I am be a member ever since. No more having to make a financial decision before contacting attorneys.

I love LegalShield! I have used them to review all 3 of my leases. 1 was fine, 1 was great for me, and 1 was horrible for me. With the help of the attorney and a red pen we fixed that. They have written me letters to get my money back. They have talked me through buying a car. They have answered questions about buying a home. I have been able to actually use an attorney to counsel with me. I look back and think what would have happened had I not asked the question or had someone else read the fine print. We were unfairly (in our opinion) overcharged $320.00 by a cell phone company for sending a damaged phone back to the company at the recommendation of the salesperson... who suggested we would get a credit toward a new phone. Instead, we got a bill for $320.00. One letter from the attorney resulted in a phone call, apology and $320.00 refund.

I have had numerous issues dealing with LegalShield over the years since first joining. Prior to having it, at 28 years of age, I had only used attorneys two times. Since joining in July of 1997, I have used it 50 or 60 times, and it has NEVER cost me more than my monthly membership. And has SAVED me thousands of dollars by getting that legal advice. I WILL NEVER back without it.

My membership changed my view about the term consumer protection! I no longer accept being treated unfairly because I know I have rights and I know I can find out if there is an alternative solution in my favor by calling my provider law firm. I recently visited a civilian dentist which was the first time since retiring from the military. I had not encountered being told I would incur an 18% interest charged for non-bill payment simply because the military dental care was provided. This form that was given to me caused some anxiety because I was unsure if the 18% was excessive or not. I refused to sign and they indicted I would not be seen. I called my provider law firm because could, not about the refusal to provide care, just to see if the 18% was legal.

I call my LegalShield dedicated law firm just about any time I'm making a decision. I'm smart but no one knows everything and I want to make the smartest decision possible. I can't stand that feeling after learning I just got taken. In 4+ years LegalShield helped us save more than what it has cost. Our internet provider gave us almost a $30 credit each month for a year. Our cell phone provider bill "magically" reduced by more $40 each month because of LegalShield. I had said, "Listen, _______ is recording this call to protect them, not me, but I have LegalShield and they review an unlimited number of personal contracts before I sign them up to 15 pages. So, I need you to send me something that outlines our agreement and states our unlimited data will stay in effect."

I have had nothing but great service from LegalShield. They have helped me to feel safe and feel like my family is protected. I knew nothing about having a will before this company other then people needed them. Now I know my family is covered. The customer service is good also - always a friendly voice.

I practiced law for 26 years. I have had a law practice for over 26 years. There were up to 26 employees, including: attorneys; paralegal; and, those who really allow the law firm to function, secretaries! I have represented names that are nationally and some internationally known. Our law firm did one type of legal work! No, divorces; landlord-tenant issues; taxation arguments, etc. Now, I am able to call an attorney and get swift answers and suggestions within a short period of time. Maybe, even the same day! I have used LegalShield attorneys eight times within 5 months. Contrast, about $100 for LegalShield membership vs. $$3,500 in anticipated legal fees from my law firm! With more questions and prospective procedures and advice in the future.

Every question or concern I've had, I've been able to get in touch with an attorney immediately and have my questions answered. They have reviewed my contracts, made suggestions and pointed me in the right direction. This is absolutely the best legal advice you can buy for personal or business for the price. I run a web design and development firm and they have helped me with legal questions for years now. I cannot imagine not having them.

I have had a membership with these folks for several months and I was led to believe that my membership entitled me to things that sounded excellent! They send you a glossy membership package that ensures you of all these wonderful benefits. Well every single time I called them for assistance, they have never helped. They offered scant advice that I have found by doing simple googling on the internet. Also, I have had to correct them about the law a few times where the 'lawyer' I talked to seemed totally oblivious to them. That gave me red flags. They only give their personal legal advice, which has almost got me into a bad situation on one occasion. I tried cancelling my membership ONLY to be billed afterwards and not refunded the money. They will try and entice you to keep on with them so they can assure they get your money. Never again!

I have been an extremely happy & satisfied client for over 13 years. My Michigan provider law firm has always been top level in service & professionalism. They have helped us in so many ways, & with so many issues I haven't room here to describe them all. From guiding me as the primary caregiver for my aged parents in safeguarding their personal well being & protecting their rights... to saving my father several thousand dollars on a few separate predatory debt collection/misrepresentation issues with unscrupulous Bill collector's... to a senior attorney appearing in court on a few separate & unrelated traffic issues for members of my family at different times in different locations... to preparing a living will & medical directive in May 2014 that saved us unimaginable anguish when my mom passed unexpectedly in Dec 2014... all for no additional cost over the ridiculously low monthly membership fee. I will never be without these services & highly recommend this company.

I paid for about 4 years on time and when I need their services they delayed the answer, I fax the documents and finally Mr. ** never responded my request. That is ridiculous! Then they sent me a card saying they were not able to contact me. That is false!

Went through a divorce last year. The Ex hired an attorney of her own and claimed an investment account was 100% hers even though it was a joint account. My research found that the original principal was hers as it was an inheritance, but the earnings were community property and should be split 50/50.

We hired an attorney through Pre-paid Legal (Legal Shield) because we got sued. The attorney they referred us to did not want to take our case. The lawyer told us that he was used to dealing with million dollar cases and ours was chump change. We went through 2 lawyers at the same firm; there were no other options in NC. We couldn't afford the lawyers' rates even through Legal Shield. They didn't help us at all. They just wanted to settle our case and move on. We lost the case because of lawyer's incompetence and ended up losing everything. We couldn't do anything about it because we were broke after we lost our case. Legal Shield and their NC attorneys are a joke. The lawyers they referred us to have always given bad advice. If you have to have a lawyer, you're better to hire one on your own then you can choose instead of Legal Shield choosing them for you. I won't use them again. Membership cancelled.

Paid for services since approx. 2008 and upon using the service for the first time in 2014, I was extremely disappointed! My mother passed away and I needed a lawyer to settle my mother's Florida estate. I live in Illinois and I'm disabled living on a fixed income. I was referred to a Florida lawyer, Mr. ** , who was friendly at first and agreed on monthly payments after my initial $1,500 down payment on his $2,250 retainer fee along with another $345.00 to file the case in probate court. To cut down on a lot of additional charges, Mr ** agreed to allow me to either do administrative duties (ie. typing, stuffing and mailing, etc) and/or pay for services as we go.

The BEST advice I can provide, know who is signing you up. Do you know them, trust them, like them? Keep in mind, once you are an associate, you are forever locked in with that person as long as you stay an associate unless they quit or you quit. There's one other option, I explain below... Also, find out your upline contact info, and speak with them way before joining. Remember, as long as you stay an associate, you are bonded to your upline just like you are bonded with the person that signed you up.

This is a waste of money. They have one good law firm who refers you to worthless lawyers, as far as a will you can't discuss it with a lawyer. You have to send your info in and they do a will you could do yourself online, no help with doing it with special needs kids or any other non cookie cutter problem. Getting it stopped is harder than getting them to refer you to a decent lawyer. What a waste of money, Legal Shield is a joke.

I hired an attorney through LegalShield who refused to file paperwork for over ONE FULL YEAR even though myself and my family constantly called, emailed and wrote trying to get him to do the job (he had already taken our money). We trusted this service, we paid all of our money AFTER interviewing the attorney and being told we could count on him. Not only did we lose all of our money, we lost our case because of the extreme procrastination.

I'm a currently a prepaid Legal member for about 5-6 yrs. I find them to be useless each time I tried to use their services. On each occasion I'm told to retain other Attorneys at 20% discount. So why do ppl pay thousands of $$$ for your service when it is useless?? Just recently I needed help to fill out an adoption papers and was told I need to get an Attorney to be in court with me. Really!! After all these yrs paying for your service! People, please save your $$, don't waste it thinking you will get the legal help in case you need it. This is false advertising! They later recommended me to an Attorney closer to home for a 20% discount. After my investigation who is this Attorney... everyone said this Attorney is useless. This is what my mama would say "changing from suga to **" My membership will be cancelled!!

We joined LegalShield to assist with various legal issues that the site claimed they could help with. Divorce, settlements, family court issue. Yeah, they could do none of these. They farmed them off to a so called referred lawyer. Wow what a joke these referred lawyers were. The first lawyer was just horrible, and continued to believe without provocation to think I was always challenging him on his rate… Which was never an issue. His competence was - when I called into LegalShield I found out the said lawyer, refused… Yup refused to hand over the case to them so that I might get another lawyer. Nasty piece of work he was.

I have been a member of Prepaid Legal Shield, also known as Primerica Legal Protection Program for 7 years and thought I had some peace of mind in case my Sweetwater Ranch HOA (in Colorado) overstepped their authority and became too abusive. As it turned out, I was correct. But when I attempted to utilize the benefits which I paid thousands of dollars to obtain at this point, they turned me over to the law firm of Riggs Abney Neal Turpen Orbison & Lewis. The attorney who represented me was not only terrible, but also provided incorrect legal advice. The case was over an 8' X 10' chicken coop on our 35-acre lot.

Please don't waste your money on prepaid legal service. It's waste of money. I became member by my friend and whenever you need service first you have to call then wait for someone to call you back and when you explain the problem they say it's not covered in your plan and you get discounted attorney. For last three years I paid several thousands for legal shield and now I am going to cancel my service.

Prepaid Legal was a failure so now legal shield. This gives someone a 25% discount on legal services. What I find interesting is that there are services out there that give FREE attorney representation for some cases and much better rates and attorneys than legal shield. I also find it funny....oh, members of OOIDA. Yes they are...as a PAID SPONSOR. Someone can join OOIDA for 35 a year and get better services on their own. OOIDA has good programs just ....NOT Legal Shield.

Prepaid Legal is not worth a dime because I was a member since 2003 but they have done anything and I didn't ask much. Now when I need their help which is my partner got in car accident, they wouldn't help him. I waste my time and my money for this people. I'm gonna cancel today.

I was lured into a lunch without the knowledge that it would be a business proposal. Then I considered joining until I did some research on Legal Shield. They had my phone number and put me in a group text thing. Now I can't get these guys to remove my name. I keep getting junk texts and that upsets me.

Some years ago. Not only did I spend precious personal funds for required "tools," but didn't earn a dime. With vast prior successful experience in business-to-business telemarketing, this should have been a no-brainer. I also considered it a good product for simple legal matters. Unfortunately, by the time I came along, so had a BETTER solution for simple legal matters!

LegalShield's Corporate Attorney Resolution Department called and discussed my concerns on 3 separate occasions; they apologized for my experience, kindly stopped my automatic withdrawal, and sent a message over to the provider firm.

We were sold this coverage by a representative. We were told LegalShield would be calling us BEFORE starting to take out any monies. They never called. Monies were taken. We called them to cancel and get our money back. Only a small pro-rated amount was returned. We asked for a supervisor to call us. No supervisor ever called.

3 years I have had to use Legal Shield several times. Each time I was framed off to someone else. I was told I had x amount of hours direct to use if I was ever to be sued however I found out each time I didn't fit the criteria to utilize them. After 3 disappointing years I will terminate the program for good. They are only good for advice and a discount with other attorneys. Tonight was the last straw! Don't wast your time or money. It's just not worth it.

I cancelled my Legal Shield associate membership in January. Mailed the required form etc. I continued to get billed 20.95 for the web services, after calling a couple of times they said "they'd check into it and get back to me because they were not sure where the charge was coming from". After months of continued billing and no response I called again to find out that yes my membership was cancelled in January and they couldn't understand why web services was continuing to bill me, they spoke to Vicky in web services, who I was told would get back to me in a day or two and refund the 180.00 over charge... guess what? She never called.

After speaking with over a 20 lawyers they all gave wrong info. You are going to love this. I am going to update this review in a week with every case I have given to Legal Shield along with the information they gave me. Also, I got 4 people to sign up with this company and all of them canceled their memberships in the first month because of receiving false legal advice from these so called "Lawyers."

Legalshield is supposed to provide legal services at a discounted rate to members. So I have been a member since 2012, fortunately having had no need to utilize their services so far. But my health isn't what it used to be, and my kids and I agreed that drawing up a living will would be a wise thing to do at this time, and putting off the inevitable would only create problems for my kids later on. As a Legalshield member, I'm entitled to a 25% discount of the regular cost of living will packages. Perusing the web, I discovered that the average cost is around $2000. My income and assets are modest, nothing unusual about that. My attorney with the firm Legalshield set me up with has me doing most of the footwork so far, he says jump and I jump, i.e., I've devoted around 4 hours each day in the last 2 weeks gathering up documents for him.

When I joined, the rep asked for a check and my account info. The check was cashed and my account was debited, so I was double billed. I have been trying for over a month to get my money back. I keep getting a run around and they won't give me a name and phone number to contact directly. I have to keep calling and reexplaining the situation. Because they took money out of my account unexpectedly I now have late fees for other bills that the money was slated for. I have faxed them copies of my bank statement to prove what I am claiming and they are still putting me off. I don't know what to do and if I cancel my account they still have my bank information so they can keep taking money.

This will be one of the shortest best review/complaint/praise of LegalShield. I was an active LS Associate joined in 2001. I still have the membership service today. Do you have a cell phone? Does it work all the time? When it doesn't do you cancel? NO but I must admit I have canceled the LegalShield service 3 times over the years. And each time I get it again for little stuff.... Motor Vehicle..... Advice contract review etc. If you are in business and used other Lawyers they suck too!!! Come on, everyone should get a grip it's aint perfect but @ $30 or less it's worth it... Hey if you can't use or don't need don't get or cancel but it's better to have if I do need it.....
