My LegalShield membership has paid for itself many times over again from billing disputes with TWC, Yellow Pages, DirecTV. Harassment stopped dead in its tracks by the IRS. Cease and desist letters to a phoney biz partner stopped him cold. About a $1500 settlement over a bug infestation at my apartment complex when over fifty others could not get anywhere arguing with the management and much more. I am very happy with LegalShield. Since I discovered it, I wouldn't be without it. I have documents available.

I was happy to use my LegalShield membership on a bill that was not getting paid by someone I had done work for. The law firm issued a letter to that client quickly and the bill was paid in full!

"After" signing on with a very reputable cable company, early this year, I found out the various levels of service. I called in to inquire and to my disappointment was told, "just send us $480 and we can end your contract." A very nice letter from the law firm prompted the company to release me at no charge as a courtesy.

One time, my oldest son and some friends were messing around. For some reason, my son decided to kick a car and put a huge dent in it. We called our attorney's. We paid for the damage and had the father fill out a form not to come back on us.

I took a ring to a jeweler to have some work done on it. He told me to come back in a week and he would have it ready. When I came back he had ruined it and wouldn't do anything about it, except to tell me that he did the best he could. He also was not willing to pay me for the ring he ruined. I departed from the Miami, FL airport on a business trip headed to Dallas, TX - all went great. On my return as I went thru the security gate I was pulled to the side by TSA and asked if they could check my business bag (same business bag I flew in with). I said ok. The young lady looked all over the bag and inside and out and nothing. Again, she searched and found a small pocket knife in bag that did belong to me but I had no idea it was in my bag. Immediately, the police was dispatched (4 to be exact). My husband as a former law enforcement officer talked with the officer and explain that he had placed in my bag for my protection. The officers looked over the pocket knife and TSA to just get rid of the knife because the blade was not long enough to charge me with anything. Everything was dropped, so we thought.

My wife and I have benefited greatly from LegalShield for over 16 years and would never be without the service. The attorneys are responsive, caring, and helpful. I was sued for a closed account I had several years ago; when I sold my business--without realized that was some outstanding balance in the account. I called my cable company at the time (DirecTV) to cancel my subscription and go with another company. When I phoned them they ask that I hold on to it for a month in case I changed my mind. I said “but you’re going to charge me for the month”, they stated that they would not. At the end of the month I received a bill for showing I owed $139.30. When I called and questioned the amount they said that they would credit my account but that I still owed for the HDVR box. I said “but I didn't use the HDVR box”, they said “well that's our policy”. I have used my LegalShield membership dozens of times and have always had a good experience. It was a wonderful experience to get promised something and to get more than you expected. While having my will made by my Legal Shield Law Firm, they reviewed my questionnaire and then called me to review the information. I have a Membership and I also have one for my 93 year old Mother. Called Firm in NJ with her on the phone with me. One of the free services you can get through the membership is a will. My wife and I got our wills done for free and they also included a living will and a power of attorney for medical issues. The cost of this estate plan through an attorney (not with LegalShield) was out of our financial reach. We figure that the value of the will is equal to the cost of our membership fees for 7 years. I recommend everyone join LegalShield. It is a terrific value!

I was leaving work on my motorcycle from Fort Bragg, NC. I was rushing to get home, and didn't realize I was speeding 80 mph in a 55 mph zone. Was pulled over by police, also on a motorcycle. I presented my LegalShield card and driver's license. While waiting, I realized he didn't have a radar on his bike, so I attempted to walk over to him so I could see how fast he clocked me. But with anger, told me to go back to my motorcycle! Told him that I just wanted to see how fast he clocked me on his radar and again, he forced me to go back to my motorcycle.

There have been several times (apartment lease accepted, extra car payment returned, funds returned, etc.) I needed a letter written or phone call made on my behalf to receive justice, and each time, because of LegalShield, my rights were protected. We have used our membership many times and have been very satisfied. The two times that we had have an outside firm handle things for us, were the only time there were problems. One time the attorney would not talk to me without a $2700 check, and the second time the attorney would not return calls or review what I had sent him. Overall we have been very happy with working with the lead firm here in Ohio.

The issue was with a cellphone company that was overcharging me for 3 months straight. On numerous occasions I have benefitted from my LegalShield membership. Just to name a few... One attorney reviewed my new car contract. Another attorney reviewed my mortgage refinance; Another attorney helped me with a health insurance matter; I contacted Kroll, LegalShield's partner for Identity Theft coverage for a suspected scam. And I am about to contact my Chicago law firm for advice regarding my daughter's disability medical insurance coverage. In closing, when I thought I had lost my car keys, I was reassured with the fact that my LegalShield Emergency card was attached to the key ring which would allow the finder to call "my" LegalShield Law firm who could identify me by my ID number.

I have been the subject of 5 data breaches that I know of (Home Depot, Target, Premera, Chase, Ebay) so I decided to get really good identity protection. It's great to know that I have all areas of identity theft covered for all members of my family.

I put in a claim with my home insurance, had a power surge that damage one of My TV set. The insurance adjuster told us to get a certified tech to evaluate the damage and they will reimburse the cost. Well we did follow the instruction of the adjuster however when it's all said and done they didn't want to follow through on their agreement, so we had our Law Firm write a Letter on our behalf and about four weeks later we got a check in the mail all because of that one letter. In 2009, our 15-year old Daughter was in a serious car accident. She only had a driving permit at that time. She was issued 2 citations. One for driving without a licensed driver in the car & the other for failure to yield the right of way. I flew round trip with a particular airline for a business trip, and my return flight home was unnecessarily delayed by one of the baggage claim employees. One of the main problems with my delay was I was not traveling alone and my mom had to fly back home alone which was extremely inconvenient. After finally getting back home two standby flights later, I called my LegalShield law firm to inquire about my rights in that situation. My attorney advised me that he would write a letter on my behalf to that airline in which he requested a full refund of my ticket price after outlining my ordeal. LegalShield has been so good to me over the year I have had the service. They have given me tons of legal advice at times were I was extremely stressed. I have enjoyed how they put things into perspective, they give you the legal jargon, and then translate it for us people not in the know, lol. When my son had a 6 point speeding ticket, after talking to our auto insurance co., we were very concerned about our auto insurance being either cancelled or increasing dramatically. Thankfully, we are LegalShield members. We called our LegalShield Provider Attorney's office. Our son was assigned a LOCAL attorney in the county where he got the ticket. That attorney actually went to court on my son's behalf, while he stayed in class. Afterwards, the attorney called and said he was successful in getting all the points removed off his record, had the court fee reduced, and got my son some community service duties to have responsibility in this (I had requested this).

I have been a LegalShield member for more than 5 years. Three years ago, I received my cable bill and it was $21 higher than the previous month and no one could explain to me why it was higher. I've used my LegalShield membership many times over the past few years that I've had it. My provider law firm here in Michigan has given me advice, answered my questions, reviewed lease documents, and sent letters on my behalf (to enforce the conditions of a lease on the landlord). Called our State Provider Law Firm on advice concerning a warranty deed since local law firms were averaging a price of $300.00 for this service. My experience is that here in Florida our Provider Law firm is making a focused effort to respond quickly to my telephone calls for assistance. When I contact the firm the receptionist, after they have received my information, provides an estimated time to expect a call-back from the attorney. I called AT&T to add a line of service to my cell phone. I was told I had a collection item for $175 from the "mid 90's" on my account that must be paid before they would extend any additional service to me. Once again the Legal Service Plan assisted my husband and I with having access to a Tax Attorney when sitting with our Tax preparer last month, March of 2015. Our questions for the Tax Attorney were in regard to the 50% inheritance of my husband's mother's estate and more specifically her stock and bond portfolio. The tax attorney was surprised to learn that our Tax preparer failed to recognize that our tax liability was limited to the "stepped up" value of her portfolio based on her date of death. We were not responsible for the entire gain on those stocks and bonds. We had the portfolio assessment on her date of death (1.22.14) and when we sold those instruments we actually experienced a loss in value and thus have no tax liability! In 2013 my children's father died. I filed my claim in March for his SS. SS told me I could collect only from the time filed until receipt of first payment which was approximately $2,000. LegalShield helped me collect the full $10,000 due me.

I used LegalShield to assist me in obtaining a Lump Sum payment that was being held up because a former address on the legal papers was being used to submit the payment to, instead of my address at the time. I have contacted the law firm and asked for advice. I have found the answers to questions being very direct. Not much consultation or options given for forward actions. It is very difficult for our members to call the law firm sometimes. A little more care and dialogue would be beneficial.

I've been a LegalShield member since 2008, and I'll never be without it! I've spoke to our top rated law firm numerous times over the years and have never received a bill for their advice. I have been a Pre-Paid Legal/LegalShield member since May 2003, and now can't imagine life without it. I have called for legal advice 80 times and always got the answer I needed to get. Twice I didn't like the answer, but I needed to know where I stood and the attorneys did their job and told me. Every other time, I felt better after getting advice, and many times attorneys have written letters on my behalf and the letters always got action, or got people from contacting me again. Only once have I had to pay additional money, and that was for the first time I used the service for a pre-existing condition which would have fallen under the discounted services anyway.
