I'm 35 and have 2 kids. My will is done because of LegalShield. I have had many situations over the last 10 years that my provider law firm has been able to help with. It's an outstanding service that had helped me realize the value of having great attorney that I can actually reach.

I had a tax audit in 2009 for my 2006 taxes. I took a LegalShield tax attorney to the audit. His presence and knowledge of the US Tax Law, saved me $22,000. He stopped the audit when the IRS agent started to go into an area that she could not legally go into. I will always be grateful to him for accompanying me to that audit.

LegalShield attorneys wrote a letter on my behalf, which was very helpful. They were very consistent with keeping me informed with information on my case. A trip that was canceled last minute. I had purchased an airline ticket in December 2012 online with CheapOair for an upcoming meeting that started at 1:00pm in Oklahoma on April 11th, 2013. This flight was on Frontier Airlines. I later learned that I needed to be in Oklahoma on April 10 instead of the 11th. Frontier Airlines did not have any flights that could have gotten me there in the morning of the 10th. I spent a lot of time on the phone trying to arrange a flight, to no avail. At one point I was on hold for 2 hours and then got disconnected. One option that was given to me was to buy a one way ticket for an additional $ 204.00 that would get me there on the 9th. This would have meant staying an extra night at the hotel at an additional cost. CheapOair would not even consider giving me a refund in light of the circumstance as they stated the ticket was non-refundable.

I became a member of LS last April, my son was graduating from high school, we were having his graduation party at a local hotel. The local hotel agreed to provide discounted rooms for the guest that were attending the graduation. They sent over the contract for the banquet services. I decided to send it to the attorney for review. Glad I did, the atty saw that there was a clause that would hold me responsible for the guest rooms in the event that the guest did not pay. The atty suggested that I have them remove that clause before I signed the contract. When I told the hotel planner that I wanted that clause removed she said "good catch" that it would be removed. The IRS was going to charge us 10s of thousands in late fees for filing a 0$ tax return late. I called the law office. They had me fax the letter and details. They advised me to write a letter and which points to emphasize. As a result we were forgiven the penalty. I highly recommend that if you have a pulse, please arm yourself with this wonderful service called LegalShield. I had a number of bill collectors call me, send me letters about a debt I supposedly owed. I handed over all information to my provider law firm here in Texas and a letter was sent to the collection agency. I was no longer approached by them. And it was not a question of whether I owed money or not... There were other matters involved that only an attorney would know how to get around.

In dealing with my son's special needs, we encountered a medical office that was negligent in responding to questions. I know of a member that received a traffic citation several weeks ago for speeding, over 100 mph. Citation was sent to LegalShield provider attorney firm and then moved to a referral attorney in the jurisdiction of the citation. Attorney went to court for member along with the citing officer. All charges were dismissed, points and fines due to an improper action by the officer that the attorney was able to recognize. Judge dismissed the case.

While traveling for in the south for a family reunion we were pulled over and each car was given tickets that threaten points. I called & faxed the ticket to our lawyers in the south, who went to court for me, was able to get the ticket reduced and no points on my license.

I have used my membership for contract review, advice on various life challenges and for my will and P.O.A.'s. I always received a call back quickly. The smallest issue was for an incorrect charge of $53, the biggest a huge error on an insurance application filled out by an agent.

I do recommend to other getting the membership. Having this membership for me is helps to be more at peace about making decisions about things I buy and contracts I sign. The law firm that I have is so helpful. I am confident about calling them to get help. They are very professional and personal and want to make sure I understand how to resolve my problem.

I canceled a feature within the allotted 30 day time frame from my home security service, but ADT did not want to make the correct adjustment to my monthly service charge. ADT told me to contact the 3rd party installer. When I contacted the 3rd party installer, they told me to talk to ADT. So, I called my provider law firm and told the attorney about my situation, the overcharge and the runaround. She promptly sent a letter to ADT and the 3rd party installer, demanding a refund and adjustment to my monthly service charge. ADT credit my account the overcharged amount and adjusted my monthly service charge.

I needed to update my estate documents. I received a Will Questionnaire and filled it out with a few exceptions and mailed it to the Law Firm. About a week later I received a call from an estate planning attorney while I was in my car and we discussed my questions; it turns out that I had 2 items that I needed further information. Real-Results story of the day! When I sold my building back in December of 2010 in January I received a bill from my provider and was told I would have to pay a disconnect fee of $475.00. When I called and ask why I was told that I broke my contract. I reviewed my copy and found that I did like two months on my contract by was not going to be able to pay as I no longer had control of the meter. said they would send out a check for the total amount. My law firm called this past Monday saying they received the check and would send it return receipt requested. No bill to me for their costs. I am really pleased with my interaction with my provider law firm in Colorado. First the polite customer service at the begin of the call to the well within the time frame callback from the attorney. When an air conditioner I had purchased two years earlier stopped cooling the first week in July, I took it back to the store for warranty repair. I left it since the technician wasn't there and asked that they called if there was any charge. When they called me, I was informed that there would be a $50 diagnostic charge plus $111 dollars labor to repair it and this is if the part was covered by the warranty. Needless to say I was not happy since the I purchased the 6,000 BTU window model for $169. When I complained that this was almost as much as the original purchase price, I was told that this was the way it is. They were sympathetic but there was really nothing they could do.

I received a speeding ticket in Georgia. My ticket was $450 and 6 points on my license. My provider Law Firm, Maguire & Schneider saved me over $1,000.00 in 2014 by consulting with me and document review regarding a home refinance. I received a file number and was able to continue to call in to the Law Firm regarding the refinance process. Each time I received top notch service. We had purchased a new home and at the one year walk through we showed builder that we were getting moisture in and around the door frame. I have used them many times. I got $3600 worth of defective carpeting. Warranty claim was denied. One letter from my law firm....warranty claim approved. Overcharged by a cell phone company; refund denied. One letter from my law firm. Refund in mailbox. I would not be without this service.

I purchased a vehicle in January of 2014. During the process, I had called to ask the attorney what I should look for on the contract before I sign it. He told me to look for 'Other Fees' or 'Prep Fees'. When I was presented the contract, there were no 'Prep Fees', but lo and behold, there was a $695 'Other Fees'. When I asked the salesman what that was for, he looked at it and said, "Oh, that won't be on YOUR contract", and gave no other explanation. PURE PROFIT!!! This review is long overdue. My mother in law passed away July 2013 after a long illness. She was prepared and had all of her funeral arrangements taken care of. Including purchasing a costly family gravesite that had six plots. She was proud of the fact that this investment would not cause any hardship on her family. My father in law was buried there first and then in 2006 my young nephew was buried there as well. Now it was time for her to take her final resting place. When I went to the cemetery to make the arrangements with my brother in law we were told that we would have to pay an opening and closing fee which we expected.

In December 2014, I received a $54 parking citation after leaving my vehicle in a public lot of an apartment complex where I live. I consulted with my provider law firm Parker Stanbury. I was traveling from Dayton, OH to Memphis, TN to a festival. My plane was late leaving Dayton, therefore missing my connecting flight in St. Louis, MO that left the airport 15 minutes early. I've used the membership over and over and I'm always amazed that I have this kind of access. This is the best kept secret in the world.

We have used Maguire & Schneider, our Ohio law firm many times. The service has always been way above our expectations. We had difficulty getting a refund from our trash company. We sent a check for three months worth of service. Two days later we received a letter saying they would no longer pick up yard waste. We couldn't burn it and there was no other way to get rid of it. I was over in the city of San Mateo riding my Segway down the sidewalk. I could think of couple of things LegalShield has help me with. One that stands out the most -- We have Homeowners Association. Parking is restricted.
