In the almost 10 years that I've been a LegalShield member, I've had nothing but positive experiences. I've found the attorneys to be knowledgeable and helpful with the over 65 times that I've used my membership. I've recommended it to well over 150 people and will continue to recommend it to hundreds more.

A couple of years ago my husband purchased a CD based personal development program. There was an initial fee and then a monthly after that. The program was a year long. After listening to the first of the CDs I quickly discovered that the program was not worth the plastic on which it was stamped. I complained to the company to no avail.

When LegalShield was introduced to me, I am embarrassed to say that I did not have an up to date will. I had two teenage children and an ex-wife. I knew it was important for me to up date my Will - however it always seemed an expensive and daunting task until I had the LegalShield membership. Now I have used it for many many other things. I'm a school teacher by trade, so criminal intent and activity do not apply here. However, I wonder how I lived the first six years of my adult life WITHOUT legal access? It's like my grandparents who grew up without air conditioning. Now that they have it, they DON'T want to go back to not having it either. I'm the same way about legal access through LegalShield. In the last almost eleven years, I've spoken to an attorney about life situations almost 300 times!!! Things like traffic tickets, contracts, documents, and even just plain advice... I moved out of my home and received a letter from the HOA stating that there were weeds on the property. Since I needed to go back by the property anyway, I decided to spray weed killer and pull up the weeds. I then called and emailed them to let them know that I had officially moved out of the property. When I sat down with my new landlord-to-be we went over the lease and after we finished reviewing it, I asked if I could have a copy to take to my law firm and have them review it before I signed it? He gladly printed off a extra copy which I dropped off at the law firm. Within 72 hours I received a call from the law firm and the attorney recommended 9 changes to the lease. I then went back to the landlord and he accepted all 9 wording changes with only one minor adjustment that we both agreed on. Amazing service for just a flat monthly premium.

Our Dish contract for TV is 8+ years old, but we added internet in October. It has not been usable due to the download speed being considerably less than our contract promised more often than not. Dish was persuaded to let us out of that portion of the contract by having Legal Shield in our defense.

My overall experience with LegalShield has been very good. The associates, employees and provider law firm employees are honest, sincere and dedicated for the most part.

I am so grateful that someone introduced me to this AMAZING service. Before becoming a member of LegalShield I had never used an attorney before. Not because I didn't need one but I didn't know who to call/trust and honestly I could afford one for the minor issues I had been faced with. Since being a member of LegalShield, my family and I have used the services well over several dozen times and to date we have not had to come out of pocket with ANY additional fees outside of our monthly membership fee.

I used the service recently to have an overcharge with my electric company. They were billing us for 3 months more than they should have. LegalShield wrote a letter and they were able to get $600 in charges removed from our bill.

My son was late coming home from school one day. I called the school to find out what was happening. I was told the entire eighth grade was being held due to an arson complaint. I purchased a Weight Watchers plan online to help manage my diabetes. I was excited and looked forward to the menus. However, after looking over the material I decided I did not want it. I thought if I called them immediately I would get a refund. When I called Weight Watchers they told me I would not get a refund due to their policy since it was an online purchase. So My Daughter told me to call LegalShield and see what they can do. LegalShield wrote a letter on my behalf. The following next day I had a refund in my bank account for $18.95. My husband and I purchased flooring to install ourselves. When we purchased the flooring, we asked if we would get money back for any unused/undamaged flooring. However, when we were finished with installing the new flooring and it came time to return the flooring, the store went back on their word in regards to giving us our money back for the unused/undamaged flooring. LegalShield has been a tremendous benefit to me and my family on many occasions. I recall an experience I had with a storage unit facility. My mother and I had been renters of this facility collectively for over 10+ years. On many occasions I would use our grace period extension to pay our monthly storage fee.

My wife and I were traveling back from the Bahamas. We were routed through Philadelphia. Our plane to Cincinnati was overbooked. Recently my wife and I switched cellphone providers and the company that we left claimed that we broke a contract and as a result we had to pay $400 in early termination fees. The challenge we saw in this was that we never signed a contract. This prompted me to call customer care to resolve the unfair bill. We were told that when we upgraded our plan a new contract was implied and as a result we owed the fee. True to their word our next bill was for $441, the bulk of which was the cancellation fee.

I have owned my plan since the early 1990s. I have been greatly satisfied with the service and the customer service throughout that time. It has only gotten better each year I have owned it and remarkably so in the last few years. My daughters both grew up in a home knowing the service and both of them immediately purchased their own plans when they left home. I am happy to report that was over 20 years ago and they have continued to keep their plans also. One daughter said she wouldn't even think of living without it and the other calls it her "Ace in the hole." It has saved us all so much money over the years it is unbelievable but more importantly it has been a great comfort and stress reliever.

The times I've had a legal issue I've been glad I had this service. But it's the far more numerous times when I just needed advice and direction that this service has been astounding to me. What the lawyers know that I don't know.. on just about every legal subject? - PLENTY! I thought I knew about Musical Copyrights, but not as much as the lawyers at Parker Stanbury - and it saved me from making mistakes and spending money I didn't have to. I also like the fact that they always initially try to see if there's a way they can de-escalate a situation. If not, they are ready, willing, and able to take the appropriate action. When the problem is with your neighbor, making things worse is NOT the way you probably want to go if it can be avoided. Finally getting suggestions from the law team about how to speak to the Traffic Division about a Toll Road violation got the problem removed and that one incident was a large enough fine reduction to pay for my year's membership subscription. Good advise is PRICELESS!

I have been a member for 7.5 years, and have used their service for things from speeding ticket representation, to document/contract review, to representing me in the courtroom. A credit company was calling to collect a debt after the statute of limitations has expired. I called the law firm in Texas. They wrote a letter to this company (they also sent me a copy). From that point on, I haven't received another call from the creditor.

The attorney spoke with my son and reviewed the terms and conditions of the website. They then wrote a letter to the company and emailed the company, using the same email address my son used. In 2014, I received a letter in the mail regarding an increase in my rent to pay for lawn care. I signed my lease the previous year which stated that all tenants were responsible for their own lawn care and snow removal. I'm pretty sure I started my membership in 1985, 30 years ago. I use my membership every year for something. Usually a small issue or question where I benefit from having the right answer from getting my legal questions answered. Without the membership I know I would not hire a lawyer for simple questions. After 3 years of denied claims, our LegalShield attorney set up Social Security Hearing and within 3 months the hearing was held. The result was my husband didn't even have to testify. Our attorney made the case to the judge and he approved it.

I had an issue with being overcharged by a rental car company in another state. I have been a member since 2005 and this company has been a life saver for me! In this past year alone I've gotten two traffic tickets, one in CA and one in SC and on both coasts I had an attorney represent me in court, all covered in my membership! AND both tickets got dismissed! Not only that but LegalShield has saved me thousands of dollars from big companies whose customer service departments proved to be more concerned for the interests of the company than me, the consumer. When my company closed I was given a severance package that the company recommend I have reviewed by a lawyer. I faxed the document to Mills and Mills. They reviewed it and went over each section point by point with me. The end result was that they advised me that it was a very fair severance. They advised me to accept it. I owned equity shares in a small company that I used to work for. 10 months ago I received a phone call from the company President informing me the company was up for sale and I would be able to exercise my options. I sent the contract to my law firm in Texas and within a couple of hours an attorney called and informed me that the document originated out of New Jersey. The attorney had contacted the New Jersey law firm on my behalf and had already forwarded the document to them.

My last experience with LegalShield was having our law firm, Wagner, Falconer & Judd help me with a situation I had with Charter Communications. Charter stopped my phone service, changed my numbers (I work out of home) and gave no explanation or warning except that those numbers didn't work where I lived. Even though they had been working for 3 months prior! Seeing I have a fax line and all my business collateral with my numbers on it, it was a big deal! I've had those numbers for 10 years. **, my attorney from my provider law firm went above and beyond trying to call Charter since time was business critical, only to find out that Charter's Legal Dept does not take calls! He then faxed a letter to them and the very next day I received a call from Charter's Corporate Offices noting they would get to the bottom of this.

I recently moved to GA from OH. While in OH I had a non-profit program that I shut down in 2007, due to a grant ending. The program had run out of an office which was also partially funded by the grant and the landlord who was gracious enough to let me out of the lease with no penalty. Well, there was a changing in management and the new owners found my old lease and decided to sue me personally and my old business for $42,000 for back rent and legal fees. It was July. The temperature outside was 95 degrees. Inside my store it was over 100 degrees. We have had the family legal plan since 1998. This product/service is the most valuable product we own. We use it frequently to take care of personal and family issues some small and other more serious to avoid life's stressful events. Just had our provider law firm write a demand letter to a debt collector for a debt that isn't valid. It would have cost $400 for the attorney consultations and demand letter to settle this event. Our annual member fee is just over $200 a year. It's an amazing value and priceless peace of mind.

After I bought a house I had the property surveyed. The lot was so chopped up, took part of the neighbor's side yard. I talked with neighbor about the possibility of changing property lines to square up the lot, they agreed. I then talked with attorney about what needed to be done to have this changed. He explained all the steps and explained that when completed we would need to get a quick claim deed. He told me that they would do this for $100. Gotta love it!

When I bought a used car in 2013 I thought I had made an OK purchase. But then the heated seats burnt through the seat, and I realized that 4 or 5 features noted in the ad for the car didn't exist, and that the headlights were two different colors (further finding that it had been in a collision, even though I was shown a 'clean' Carfax report), I thought I was stuck with my purchase. But one call to the my law firm and the situation I was in resulted in being able to return it and getting a better car elsewhere for a better deal, saving me about $5,000! About a year later I needed a part and ordered it online. It turned out to be defective and the company refunded the part cost, but I had to pay for the return shipping. In 2009 we had a family restaurant. We received a bill in the mail from a company that we had never heard of. Before I finished my lunch, a Nevada attorney called me which impressed me immensely.

Last year, LegalShield saved me over $1200 for a mess I got myself in just by writing one letter. I bought a laptop by getting a zero interest credit card for 18 months. Not trusting myself to be on time with my payments, I arranged to have my bank mail my checks out for me. I thought I was being smart, however, I forgot to mark my calendar for the 18 month mark when my rate would go up... So when that day came, I was not paying attention as I was confident my bills were being paid. Then one day, I realized my rate had gone up to 22% and I had racked up a bunch of extra charges because my minimum payment amount had gone up. I bought a Xbox 1 and it had a 14 day return policy. Came back and returned it at original store with receipts and original packaging. They said that the serial number box didn't match up with the receipt. 1 hour back and forth with the clerk I left with my Xbox 1 and I was furious. I was a member for only three weeks when I made a purchase of two irons at a kiosk in a mall for $145. The irons stayed hot five minutes and left brown spots on a shirt. It was unwearable. Upon having internet, satellite TV and private phone bundled I noticed our monthly bill didn't come down as promised and the prior satellite TV service was still listed on monthly bills. Several calls to the Customer Service Dept. resulted in no changes. Finally the utility asked if I had cancelled the prior TV service. I answered, "No, that was your responsibility since they were a vendor of yours and I was buying TV service from you". I've had this service for several years and I can confidently say, I'll never be without it. The peace of mind my family has as a result of being members is priceless.
