If I could give no stars I would, they do not work with you. They are lawyers trying to make money off you. They say will work with you then bleed you dry if you let them, I was recommended by a reputable group to try them to better our credit thing is. They do not better your credit. You pay them to talk to credit bureaus which could still leave leans on you and you still have to pay for that so why pay for blood suckers to do something. You set up a payment with whomever you have an claim with that's against your credit even a dollar a month and it builds your credit. This is a scam! You can't do anything either. They are lawyers and talk their way out of everything. Couldn't sue because lawyers the whole place so they don't even have a clue. I'm truly disappointed and pissed. We are out this money we could've used bettering our credit, not paying a damn lawyer

My experience with LL has not yet gone beyond the introductory level. However, thanks to paralegal, Elijah, the initial encounter with LL was indeed most pleasant. Considering his knowledgeable responses to my queries and gentlemanly demeanor, I have reason to believe further engagements with the staff of LL will be equally satisfying and productive.

I had a fraudulent inquiry on my credit report, the staff and paralegal operator walked me through how to go about dealing with my problem and how to fix it. Very helpful and professional while friendly. I would definitely recommend the service they provide to anyone that cares about their credit score and protection of their identity. Lexington Law has been very helpful in how I understand my credit and how important it truly is. In just shy of 1 year they have helped me build my credit from a score of 4 to almost 700, 750 being my year end goal.

My experience was nothing less than great. When I had a concern they got right on it. They write letters of inquiry and challenges to credit bureaus and debtors seeking restitution. They removed 3 debtors off my credit report within a month. And their fee is very reasonable. I would recommend their services because they work hard for good results.

Opened account on July 20, 2020. Was told that we would get discount if my husband and I opened an account together. We paid what we were told the half rate of 65.00 to START. Next bill cycle would be full rate of 129.00. I received a call stating my bill was was 70.00 past due. Spoke with the billing department and was told that was incorrect and that not only do I owe 70. At that moment I decided to cancel my service and received an email stating I now owe 185.00 the first billing cycle is not over nor did they EVER WORK ON MY ACCOUNT.
These people are cunning and will take you for every penny they can. Mr. Manager Luis no last name or employee ID. Probably not even his name. Rude and disgusting trash. Of course I will EVENTUALLY pay the scam artists because I'm trying to fix my credit BUT I advise you DO NOT USE THIS FAKE COMPANY. I figured out how to do this MYSELF... SO CAN YOU! This company makes you think that it's too complicated or tries scare tactics to make you believe there is no alternative. Please DON'T WAIST YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY!!!

This Rent to Own Club/Lexington Law firm company/program is a complete scam. My personal experience with these companies was never good. The customer service experience is really horrible and advise you all to save your money and time all they want is your money. My personal experience was when I contacted the Rent to Own Club to inquire some more information about what the requirements were to qualify for the program. I spoke with a gentleman named Jack who also gave me an extension phone # to reach him (just a typical common first name only no last name).
After he told me I met the requirements he said he would transfer me over to a Law firm who would work begin to work on my credit and for me to give him a call back with a confirmation #. I was transferred over and spoke with a lady named Amanda who then explained to me what the Law firm company does as to building your credit score. Amanda told me I would need to pay $4.95 to run the credit report and then pay $129.99/month to the Law firm so they can continue working on cases associated with your credit. I was given like 2 days to pay the first $129.99 and was charged a $19.99 late fee on the same day my first payment was due.
When I asked about why I was charged a late fee on my first payment and explained it was the same day the payment was due they said they would give me a refund of $19.99 which they never did. I was also told that I would be given a list of houses and to choose the few that would like to go and see and inspect to make a decision on which house I would be renting and potentially owning in the future. Amanda told me she would call me back the following day at a certain time. The following day I never received a call from Amanda at the scheduled time she designated to call me back. I then called the original number twice when I spoke to Jack to follow up on my status and to no surprise I got no answer, it pretty much sounded like the phone rang one time and then was hung up on after one ring as if they know my phone number.
A couple days later I received an email with a list of houses to pick from but no addresses or even an area of location. I responded back with 3 houses chosen to view, and was told that I would be assigned a realtor named Mr. Parrish ** (sounds made up but whatever). I was told Mr. ** was supposed to call me within 1-2 days, so I assumed I would receive from him later on that week. Again as I wasn’t surprised with my experience so far I received NO call that whole week and I decided to follow up with an email. Once I explained my frustrations in follow up email about I was given some unprofessional responses about how the company did not know what happened to Mr. ** and to stand by and wait for further instructions because Mr. ** does not work for their company and is a private real estate agent who they aren't responsible for.
When the decision came to cancel my account I called the Lexington Law firm and originally spoke to a lady named Bobbi who when I first stated I was calling to close my account she immediately hung up on me. I called back immediately and no one picked up and was forced to use the chat option located on their website. I believe the law firm was working on cases associated with my credit report because I can statuses changing and they were constantly communicating with me, by email for the most part.
The other side of it which is the Rent to Own Club I believe was the scamming side. Both companies are connected in some way when working with the program but operate entirely private/separate from one another and seems like little to no communication is involved. I work in professional customer service and told them when I schedule an appointment whether in-person/phone I commit to every single appointment in the most utmost and respective manner as possible especially when dealing with sensitive and personal information. The Rent to Own Club does not have any contact information, mostly communication is done by email and I would think twice about doing business, providing personal information, or paying money to someone who you can never see in person, or talk to over the phone. There may be some legit Rent to Own programs out there, but this one is not it.

They do work for you and have moved at an understandably reasonable speed, in which I am very satisfied! In just over a month they have removed 4 items between the 3 credit bureaus. They would have been 5 stars but they were deceitful about the billing. When opening account my fiance and I were made to believe that they would take us both on for 129 a month. I asked repeatedly to be sure that it would only be 129 together. When billed the following month we were each charged separately 129 each on my card. When questioned about this it was denied and avoided further more. I may be cancelling my account/s as I have learned of free options worth looking into through realtor's lenders.

We were explained something over the phone and 3 months later when we are canceling we were told something different and being charged to tell us there is nothing they can do. We technically paid them 3 months for nothing and having them say we responded as "do not challenge". If that was the case then why would we even be paying for their service.

Now I admit my credit is less than perfect. In April 2020, my score was 518 with 22 negative items on my credit report. I sign up with Lexington Law believing they were experts at credit restoration. I was advised to make payments on my debt while they work on my account. I paid off 1 collection, 1 charge off, and made payments towards my student loans in default. I also got a $200 secure credit card. This alone brought my credit score up 100 points within 2 months. I know this because I have multiple credit apps that tell me the reasons why my score increase/decrease.
Little did I know, Lexington Law would destroy it all. The items they dispute change my student loan account status and drop my score over 70 points. I called their customer services and went on their online chat many times. I got 3 different answers and none of them made sense. The last answer I got was for me to call my my student loan lenders asking for them to correct my payment history and apply Covid-19 to accounts.
Now mind you, my original loan was with Sallie Mae, who transferred my loan to Navient, who transfer that loan Reliant Capital Solutions. They all said they can’t fix my payment history because they don’t have control over what’s reported to the credit bureaus. This got me even more upset with Lexington Law. They should of discovery this when they challenged the accounts in April and now we’re in the month of July. Lexington Law paralegals do not know what they are doing!!!! I should of been offer compensation but instead I was offer a final bill.

Called ONE day after to cancel and get my money back then they took 2 charges if 129$ for both my fiancee and myself. Baffled I took it to the chat room service they had. Spent about a little less than an hour. They refused to give me a refund. The payment plan they have going on is a scam. The work they do sure may be real. But the payment plan is a scam. I honestly feel I was scammed for the money. I am 25 years old. I work a part time job and I don't make a lot. $260 just POOF gone. This month will be hard for me thanks to whoever this Puletini was refusing to give my my refund while its still pending. I had 3 negative reports on my CS. Was recommended to Lex Law by Credit Sesame. After initial consultation I was a bit apprehensive about signing on at first because of the cost of service VS waiting 3 years for items to be removed (these were med bills I didn’t realize I had accrued) I decided to go with them and See if it was cost effective. (I could’ve tried to negotiate a settlement with collections.)
It took a few months to get any results but then 2 of the smaller bills were removed and I only had the bigger one of approximately $4500.00. With a little patience this too was also removed. Along the way, they would update my case progress via their website. I was able to obtain 3 credit cards so far and with no late payments and low utilization my score is finally close to 700. I plan on acquiring 1 or 2 more, be responsible with them, (I never was in real c/c debt just didn’t have any credit) and finally try for a home loan in the near future. Without good or any credit this wouldn’t be doable. Yeah thanks LexingtonLaw???? 7

They run only Transunion and their updates are random and slow! Always you have to communicate with Customer Service. They never take action, you have to do 50% of the job, Customer service most of the time arrogant if not useless! Was paying more than $110 a month just to have a website access and Transunion credit score updated every 2/3 months. Any other agency you have to force them to update and eventually pay extra! It's cheaper to go to pay the single agency directly and screen and dispute all information through them directly! Don't waste your $$$. There is better way to go out there!

Four months later and all I have to show is monthly auto generated generic emails.. 30+ min waits for customer service calls to ‘paralegals’ with the one negative item that made me sign up still firmly in place. Honest businesses will advise you if their service can truly help you or not but Lexington law only really cares about getting your money even if it means deceiving and misrepresenting their services. Avoid Avoid Avoid! Unless Of course you have loads of money to throw away... I agreed to pay for a credit report after the agent told me he could definitely help me knowing I was in bankruptcy so I trusted that, but I decided to ask my bankruptcy lawyer about it the next day and my lawyer told me that it would be a waste of time and money for my situation at this moment so from that day all the way up to June 10 I have been trying to talk with someone from Lexington Law and every time I have called them I had to wait on for a agent and it always take at least 10 minutes or better and when I finally talk to someone I always get the run around they can’t find my info in the computer and they hang up on me every time.
I never got a call from a paralegal or anybody from Lexington Law because I would have told them about the troubles I was having and finally after getting nowhere for two weeks they charged $129 from my account. This is a big rip off. They get people that need help and once they get your card info they don’t care about you or your situation they make it impossible to reach them after you become a member. Original Review: Today on June 5th, I signed up for Lexington Law credit repair services. As of today, I’m only giving them 2 stars. Not only is it too early to me to confirm if their services work, but I was quoted a one time $4.95 fee to pull my credit but then later told it would be $14.95, in addition to the monthly fee of $109. I considered signing up. I set up a payment, and then after looking at my financial situation during this pandemic, I realised that it was not a reasonable time for me to be spending so much money on services that are questionable at best. I live alone and am just now getting back to my full-time job. I e-mailed Lexington Law immediately (within six hours of signing up), as I could not reach customer service over the phone.
On the website, it states you have up to 3-5 days to cancel your services with no penalty. They responded within two days, saying they may charge for services already performed, although I asked for a cancellation within six hours of signing up, and gave them almost time to perform services. But then, AFTER agreeing to cancel my services, they sent letters out to creditors, thus "performing services". I am extremely unhappy and disappointed in this experience. Should I ever consider credit repair services again, I will absolutely not be going with Lexington Law.

I was searching for the “Rent to Own” property. ‘Hiddenlistings’ got a hold of me through phone and asked me different questions of what type of homes I was looking for, employment status, and credit. (I knew my credit was low, because I am using Credit Karma). The person said I was qualified to be able to talk to their credit and financial help services.
She transfer me to Lexington Law, (at this time I thought it was part of their company, sort of like department within). The guy was nice and asked close to the same questions as the ‘hiddenlistings’ people did. I let Lexington Law look at my credit score. He said they can mail out and contact the companies on my credit report to get them off my report. (I already contacted all the companies on my report as Credit Karma told me to do for free. Some were bad and others try to work out a better payoff deal). Lexington Law stated they can fix it all for a low price with credit card or debit. AS SOON AS I SAID “no, I think I’ll hold off on that,”. THEY HANGED UP!
Then half hour later I got a text from them on how I can save 50 bucks to get my credit score fixed. I still have copies of the text. It's too bad I did not record the phone call. This is how I end up on this site “Consumeraffairs.com”. I may avoid the scam for now, but they are still out there using different aspects to get to people.

I needed some help getting some negative remarks off my credit and I was told about Lexington Law. First thing that I didn't like was the fact that the guy I spoke with could tell me very little about the results I could have, he just kept repeating that he couldn't make any promises. After a week I got emails saying they sent disputes, I started wondering why I was being charged so much for a company to dispute information that I could do on Credit Karma, a free service. Then a couple days later I received another email with the same thing for a different loan provider. At that point I was very disappointed because I had subscribed for the premium service and I felt that they couldn't promise anything because they would do the same as I could by myself.
I went to cancel my subscription because I was told that I would be charged May 11th and it was the 8th. The process of canceling was smooth until they mentioned that I would be charged the full amount for the disputes because my invoice was sent that morning. I was baffled that it was sent on the 8th, but I wasn't technically supposed to be charged until the 11th. After all was said and done, I ended up paying $140 for them to dispute 4 late payments and 2 inquiries. I feel like the biggest fool to have fallen for this big of a scam, I should've known something was off when the first guy told me that he couldn't promise any results. My experience was terrible and you will find other people with experiences just as bad, don't fall for the tricks this company plays to make over $20 per dispute.

An executive reached out to me and resolved the crisis. I would do business with them again when a situation presents itself.
Original Review: April 30, 2020
We subscribed to their credit help service due to a particular situation that I clearly explained to the staff member when I called for assistance. The staff member said they can very well address the issue as it is not a regular dispute process and definitely needs a law firm to deal with the matter. We were then put on a an automated emailing feature so it kept sending me that the case is being looked at and that new credit reports were received and action initiated.
When I logged in, there was no update on the website about what the action was, but the disputed case record kept reminding me to upload supporting documents pertaining to the case. I did each time I logged in and the system never showed whether it was a success or not. There was no acknowledgement from any of their staff or case worker other than the same routine robo emails. I did not know the emails I was receiving were robo-emails, and often thought it was the caseworker emailing me on the status.
When I called them to check on the status, the staff member said there is nobody by the name I mentioned. One of the members explained to me that the credit bureau have been notified as soon as the dispute was initiated about the errors and that I should wait or I can escalate it with their firm's intervention group. I thought I had already made that request in my prior calls as well as emails to what became later apparent that it was a robo email-id.
When I called again, another staff member said that they had sent us emails with PDF letters that had some attachments, which required notarization from our side. I had never received this letter in any form. I asked why they would not revisit or check back with me on this matter as it was escalated and I was paying the premium for the escalation or mail it via USPS. The person responded by saying let us move forward and if I can get it notarized and sent they will still escalate it and I should continue to hold the membership at premium level that covers the escalation-intervention feature.
I continued the membership for another two months and there was no action or acknowledgement of any kind, not even the robo-emails. When I called they did not even have the notarized letters in their system yet. After I provided the postal verification and date of mailing, the staff member was able to find it and enter it into their database and let me know that now onwards they will send the letter to the disputed entities as well as the bureaus and I must wait four weeks to hear a response. I waited another month and there was no acknowledgement of any kind or activity. When I checked with the Bureaus, they said they have not received any complaints or letters regarding the disputed matters and the only dispute on the matters were the ones I had personally made a year before. For over six months they robbed us for $600 plus for absolutely nothing.

First Point: According to the house of delegates: A paralegal is a person, qualified by education, training or work experience who is employed or retained by a lawyer, law office, corporation, governmental agency or other entity and who performs specifically delegated substantive legal work for which a lawyer is responsible. In summary, the “paralegals” that work at LLF do not need any special certification or training outside of the four-week training that they are provided to be called “paralegals”. Second Point: Lexington Law Firm leverages the rights of the consumers to dispute inaccurate or incomplete information from a consumer’s credit reports. The key terms are “incomplete” or “inaccurate”. If you know that negative items listed in your credit file to be accurate, then it makes no sense to dispute them with a mission to have them removed. Although it may work and your credit score may go up, there’s a very real possibility that those negative items will be reported once again once the information is complete. Negative remarks to your credit file can appear for 7-10 years depending on the type of negative items.
Third Point: Like with many other organizations, the goal is to retain clients to the current business model to maintain a healthy revenue. The agents are driven to retain a certain percentage of clients therefor they are driven to save on every call. How does this impact you? Well, it’s possibly that you may not have seen any results in the last few months or several months. It’s possible that you may see a removal next month or not for another year. (don’t forget point the second point, negatives can come back). Even if you haven’t seen removals in a long period of time, and it’s unlikely that you will. They are still expected to persuade you to stay.
Fourth Point: The items that are chosen to be disputed are chosen by an algorithm and not by an actual person. Additionally, items are only disputed once every 30-60 days with Transunion and once every 180 days with Experian. That’s 6 months. In a lot of cases, the limited number of attorneys have never touched your file, same as with the agents that you will speak with. You will not normally have a designated selected group of agents that work on your account periodically. Unless they are working on a special initiative for your type of account or unless you’re behind on your bill.
Last Point: Cost. Cost is relatively high in comparison to the results that you may or may not see. For the cost of their plans. Which to the end of my tenure with them reached $129.95 per month you can take advantage of free services like credit karma or Experian.com. They will offer you a credit score but you can obtain one from Experian.com for free. The only one that they provided at the end of my tenure was Transunion. They will offer you Id theft monitoring but services like Lifelock and myfico do that at a very low cost by comparison. They will offer you a finance software, to track your expenses. Most banks offer that for free but you could always use mint.com or truebill. Other information that is provided you can find at a very low cost elsewhere. In summary, use logic when you’re making financial decisions. Especially in times of uncertainty like these. This is not a magic eraser. This is a bucket full of optimism with a very possible leak.

I have been off & on with Lexington for some years now, but I will say they are my first credit repair company & the only company that I would want to assist me. I understand everyone has a different experience, but I look at credit repair the same way my grandfather told me: "You didn't ruin your credit over night, so don't expect it to be resolved overnight." I choose to pay the highest plan (best results & protection) & I have seen 75% of negative history gone! If you get Lexington Law to remove negative accounts, get you a credit card, & also take the initiative to pay your bills on time....I can guarantee you will see positive results! (Also to some who expressed delayed hold times from March 2020 to present....please consider that with Covid-19 a lot of businesses have a heavy work load & are short staffed.)

Horrible company, total scam! Don’t fall for it!! I was paying this company for basically 2 years in hope of getting two issues on my report fixed and NOTHING! They kept on saying they were sending letters out and I never saw results, worst part is, their customer service is the worst, their so called paralegals try to wrap you around for you not to cancel your service by offering lower plans and offering you refunds as a “thank you for staying as our client” to later on automatically upgrade you to the most expensive plan and when you call to make a claim, their response is, "You have already been calling for discounts, we can’t refund your payment which is unauthorized by you to begin with," but keep in mind you are dealing with lawyers, don’t waste your time trying to fight them on how they stole from you!!
This is my personal experience and also know this is the case for some of my coworkers that never got any results, they will pretend they are working on your case. I personally have improved my credit organically by making on time payments and was a victim of this company keeping my money and disrespecting me when I tried to reach out to fix the issues. Hi I'm re-reviewing my review of Lexington Law. As I stated before I will go over it in 45 days. It has NOT been 45 days since I signed up, more like 2 weeks. I originally gave it 2 stars to start with because they were quick and informative. Now my concerns were that they will string me along for a long ride. Today I have noticed that they already sent out notices to both the 3 credit agencies and creditors. I have to say the app is easy to use and gives me peace of mind. I am upgrading my review to 4 stars and I am satisfied so far. I don't know if anything will be deleted but I was NOT promised anything and I know what they're up against. Between the low cost start-up fee and monthly payment options I feel confident I made the right decision. I hope my review will help the next person when making their decision. I held this off way too long. I should have did this long time ago.

Again 2 hospital bills on my priority list, 45 day max for a response from the creditors and another 15! Days for them to give me or SHOW me something on the app. Again I have done this myself and have had success in 31 days. So lets see what happens. Todays date Sat 07, 2020.

I've been sending out letters and disputing charges on my credit reports for some time. I got tired of doing it alone so I hired Lexington Law to step in and help. It's been one month now, and I haven't seen any results other than improvements I've made on my own. I received a letter twice that said the same thing, once when I first paid and once again before my next payment is due. Seems they stall progress to get more money from people. I read online they are being sued, and that put up red flags for me. If I haven't seen results soon, it's time to say bye-bye birdies. I know how long it takes to write a letter and I know how long it takes to get written letters back from credit bureaus once those letters are sent out. I know there is rules and regulations, but 1 month, and no results. Come on! I only hope soon that I do see results because right now I haven't got my money's worth and almost time for the next payment, which is about $250, which is costly, for no results.

I had a pretty decent experience with Lexington Law. It wasn't perfect, but after 8 months of using the service, I feel pleased with the outcome. First, here's where they didn't excel... The customer service on calls / chats seem to vary widely. Sometimes decent, oftentimes, pretty poor. It seemed that when I got to a manager the service was excellent. So, if you're having issues, talk to a manager. Also, it seemed like when they sent out letters disputing negative marks, my credit score would take a dip. This would FREAK ME OUT, but they seemed to be temporary.
Now, here's what they did well... It was worth the money for me. I used it for 8 months - enough time for them to send 1 round of disputes to all my creditors and monitor the impact. The result was a removal of 38% of my negative marks. This (plus paying off some credit card debt) resulted in a raise in over 100 points on my FICO score in less than a year. Additionally, their app / website were easy to use and fun to see the progress. Overall, the service isn't perfect, but I felt that they did right by me.

I hired Lexington Law in 8/2019, to remove incorrect and negative items, specifically an auto loan that was no longer mine, per divorce documents. First two months, very little. Then, a few incorrect items were removed, but not the most important ones. I submitted supporting documents, spoke to several people, submitted the same documents, spoke to more people; still no progress on the key items. In January 2020, I became much more active and called every day on the status of my case. I did not speak to the same person twice, I got different information from every person I spoke to, and no one seemed to know what was going on with my case, every time I called.
Occasionally, I received conflicting information within a single call or online chat with a paralegal. I was placed on long holds every time. I finally had enough and reported them to the BBB. The next day, my service was cancelled. No effort on their part to fix the situation, investigate the problem, or help me, the customer. They just decided to be done with me. Don't use Lexington Law. Very poor business practices and are not focused on helping them customer, especially when the customer calls them out on bad service.

Original Review: I can say check the BBB reviews first. They totally tried to rip me off. Luckily caught them in time and cancelled service. First they charged me the 14.99 which I paid on time. They said I didn’t have the funds so they charged me a late fee of 19.95. Then my first payment of 129.99 was due 1/26/2020. They said it was due in the 17th which was due date for future payments. So now according to them I’m late on that too. I gave them proof and they removed the first 19.95. I have paper, emails stating everything, and then decided this company is a rip off scam of sorts. Those good ratings May be a bunch of BS. Don’t use them unless you want a huge hassle and to be out some money. So they got 14.99 and I’m paying the 129.00 for hardly anything. Cut my losses and move on.

Where should I begin? About, 3 years ago I signed up with Lexington Law. In the first month, I had items removed, so, naturally I was excited. About, 2 months later - crickets - nothing happened. I called to cancel because, I couldn't afford to continue to pay a company that wasn't producing. After many conversations with paralegals over time and getting nowhere, I got one that provided me with more information in that 10 minute call, then I received in those 3 months I was with them. I still canceled.
Fast forward to September 2019. I decided that I still needed help and with the knowledge I had from that paralegal and years of research I felt I was more educated. I called Lexington and with some concern, I told the sales team what happened. Long story short, I signed up again. Within, the first 30 days (like before) I had 6 inquiries removed. (Really 2 from each credit bureau.) It's now 4 months and crickets again. Every time I call, they say, "It takes 30 to 60 days... We've sent this on your behalf..." Same routined response. (It's been well over 30 to 60 days.) I explained I spent $40 on notaries and uploaded them, as I was told.
After 2 weeks I realized I hadn't received any notifications. I called and the paralegal says, we just sent the letters now. I was pretty annoyed by this time. Why weren't they sent 2 weeks ago? She had no real response. I still gave them the benefit of the doubt. It is now the second week of January. My last update from them on the portal was December 24th. I used to get emails updating their progress. Last email was about my payment. I had to sign up with the 3 credit bureaus just to see my scores. My scores are constantly fluctuating, with no help from them (it's all me). They give NO real advice or recommendations, which is ridiculous. I hired you to help me repair, teach me how to repair.
When you call, you're on hold for 20 minutes... EVERY TIME! I am done with Lexington. When you do finally get someone, they are rushing you off the phone. My payment is due in 5 days. I will not be renewing. I'm better off taking that $80 dollars and paying off my collection accounts and fixing my own credit. It's already stressful enough going through life with bad credit, getting the "no's" and the judgemental stares, and then wanting so bad to be ok, or accepted. You sign up with a company to help you through this sad stressful time, to only look up and feel you're being ignored (until payments due) that you're being taken advantage of because you're vulnerable and desperate. Please choose wisely, so your time and money isn't wasted.

Now after 2 weeks I was able to removed 3 more items and I'm disputing other items myself. It's amazing how they can just charge you money to do nothing. I have no knowledge and NO experience with this and I was able to remove 6 items in 2 weeks and in 6 months with LLF they remove 5 Items. Think before joining them and all I can say is stay away and try other credit services because I do not recommend them.

In the documents you receive, the below is stated, yet you are not given a choice if you want to continue your service. When you try to cancel, you are given options at a lower price until you are firm and tell them you no longer want the service and don't want a different plan. I expected to be charged in December, but then I was charged again in January without my knowledge.
"When you elect to continue additional Service Interval(s) at a selected service level, you will be charged the following at the end of each Service Interval, for work previously and fully rendered: $89.95 for Concord Standard; $109.95 for Concord Premier; $129.95 for Concord Premier Plus; $59.95 for Lex Essentials; $24.95 for Lex OnTrack; $19.95 for Maintenance Pro; or $8.95 for ReportWatch. I like most people want good credit. My goal was to find a company that would help me reach that goal. When I first signed up, I was very specific about the date I wanted the money deducted from my account. Of course, the person DID NOT LISTEN. My bank account was charged before I asked and it caused me to incur a fee. Well after calling and calling I got the issue resolved (unnecessary headache). I spoke to a supervisor and was lied to. The supervisor assured me that they would give me a 60.00 credit and said the next and only payment would be in December for 49.95. I prepaid the 49.95 because I didn't trust that the payment would be just that. Of course, they are now saying I owe the payment that was supposed to have been waived with a late fee.
I called in yet again to CANCEL and the women immediately signed me up for the Essential membership which is 59.95 even though I did not consent to it. While I was on the phone with the agent I got 2 confirmation emails that I had consented to the lower membership. I never said Yes at all. Even though they have had some items removed from my credit report, their business practices are shady!!! I refuse to give these people another dime until they listen. It's hard to trust these people. I feel the supervisor lied to me to about waiving my November payment just to keep me from cancelling.

I used Lexington Law in the past and they were great. Now they are pretty much the worst. I was under the impression I could freeze my account due to job loss. After charging me $109 for 3 months and pretty much getting nothing done, they charged me an extra $87 for “work done”. Makes no sense because I cancelled before the DUE-DATE and they did NO WORK! Also, it’s impossible to get help if you call, you’ll be on hold for an hour and no one will answer. They’ve made it really easy for me, in 2020, I’m going to one of their competitors instead.

I train brand new mortgage originators. Over the last 12 years I've referred more business to Lexington Law than I could ever track. I did so because, I used them in the past and had great luck, with little nonsense. I hired Lexington again personally, in November of 2019. It's now end of December. I needed a simple 30 day late removed. It's not done. I was willing to give it the 30 to 60 days, they estimated. I read the contract and understand I'm to be billed for work done. I'm seeing zero activity in my online profile since end of November. And those were only 2 simple form letters sent. Yet, they are billing me again for a much higher amount than I understood.
This looks like over billing for little amount of work done. And who the heck can understand their billing now anyway? STOP this Lexington Law! First I was charged 14.99. Then I was charged 39.99. Now, I was charged 89.99. I only hired them a month ago!! I had updated my original credit card in time for the payment. Yet they attempted the charge on my original card. When that 8999 didn't go through on my old card, they charged me 19.99 late fee! I inquired by email, I got a response that read, you have to change your credit card 3 to 4 days before the payment and if you change the credit card too often, whatever that means, it confuses the system and it goes back to the original card. I was reminded in that email that I would have a charge of 109.98 on January 7th! What the heck? Remember, only two form letters have been sent.
I then, began looking at their reviews online. Not good anymore. Looks like we all need to find another Law Firm, that can also review our billing versus work performed by Lexington Law. I will stop referring Lexington Law and will promptly cancel my service. Stay tuned to updates as to further billing when I try to cancel. I don't know what happened to them. But, they definitely are not in the glory days of old.

All they want is your money, they take money out of your account without permission. I filled out a loan form and was transferred to a lady saying she had already ran my credit report and I owed them $14.99. I went ahead and gave her my debit card info and as soon as I did that she told me that she would set me up on reoccurring payments with Lexington so that they can clear my credit. Long story short I told her I was not interested as I had already used them before and they did nothing I mean nothing to improve my credit. Even after that conversation of me making it absolutely clear I did not want Lexington service, my account was drafted $129.99 six days later without my permission. They are legal thieves in my opinion! Had to change my debit account to stop them from taking any more money. Never got copies of my credit report either. Ripped off in Texas.

After a 20 minute hold the representative said they couldn't find the Power of attorney they had on file for my wife - after I sent it priority mail and had it notarized and she would have to call to cancel. I was transferred to Lexington Law through another company. The woman I spoke to on the phone was rude and pushy. The beginning of the conversation was great and I was explaining how I just put a lot of money towards my credit cards. She checked my credit score and she informed me I would need to pay $14 today to gain their services, which is whatever and I was waiting for her to bring up pricing. I informed her that I didn't have that money in my account and she said to me "you don't have $14 in your account?" I was a little thrown off but whatever, right? I said no. She then went on to ask if I had overdraft protection on my checking account. I said yes. I'm assuming she wanted me to overdraw my account to pay for this service that I never wanted in the first place.
She then asked if I would just put the $14 on one of my credit cards that I just paid on. Your company is based around getting my credit score better and you're asking me to put more money on my cards!?! What? I told her I would rather not. She then proceeded to talk to me like I was dumb and a child. She went on a whole rant about how she knows I'm so interested in getting my credit better and how it would feel so awesome to walk into a room and ask for $500 and get it because my credit was better and how she can tell that I'm passionate about getting my business loan.
She was attempting to mind trick me into thinking I needed this service. I was over it. I said thanks but no. She was pretty rude and kept calling me "hun" which made me feel like she saw me as a child. She sounded like her and I could have been the same age. Before joining I read all the bad reviews and was suspicious, but I still went ahead and gave them a chance because I felt they knew what they were doing and did a good job luring me in. Worst mistake ever!! Three months in, no updates about my pending case, I’m in a hole not knowing what is going on with my case, and I’m still waiting for mails and paying $109 monthly for nothing, not even communication. I hate that I’m doing this, I have never written a bad review online, but this is truly necessary as I try to help anyone thinking of joining Lexington Law, my answer/opinion is a NO.
I’m just being honest, it’s funny how credit takes up a huge potion of your mind since it's very crucial, you finally trust someone to do it for you (they promise) and now a much larger portion of my mind is affected due to the trust I put on Lexington and they finally disappoint me. Feels like betrayal. I’m a month in a new credit company and have things taken off already. All this is for anyone that is truly stressed about credit and is looking for a solution. I called and spoke to a very nice representative who was more than happy to sign me up (for $14.99 for my credit report and $129 for the first month's fee). And like a lot of the other reviews I've read, I received the same quality of service. Nothing was removed from my credit report by Lexington Law - the ONLY items that were removed were because I disputed them through Credit Karma (but Lexington tried to take the credit).
I paid for 6 months of service, but never once received any updates on my case. I did, however, receive a letter that was supposed to go to one of my creditors. In the letter, it never mentioned that I had retained Lexington Law. As a matter of fact, it was addressed to the creditor IN MY NAME (which is why it was returned to me instead of Lexington when it was sent to the wrong address). I also noted the spelling and grammatical errors in the letter. If you're willing to spend this kind of money to clean up your credit, my advice is to hire someone local that you can actually speak to one on one.

By the time you dig up and give all the info needed over to LL you might as well spend the extra 15 minutes and go through the convenient online dispute process YOURSELF. That's what LL is going to do. And, if these unhappy reviews are to be believed, that is where LL will stop.

After reviewing companies for credit repair, I decided to call Lexington Law to explain my case and see if they could help. Upon calling I was greeted by a friendly salesperson who was very attentive. I expressed the fact that in addition to providing help with my credit, good customer service was paramount and I was hoping that the support would remain consistent with the experience I just had with her. The friendly salesperson falsely assured me that I would have access to my team of lawyers and paralegals to answer any questions I might have.... Two days in and it's like this is a completely different company. Once you sign up, you are assigned an account where you go online to answer questions about your credit.
As I am new to this, there are questions that I have and would like to speak to an actual person.. The toll free number that is provided on the site for support is never answered. I was on hold for over an hour each time I have called. They offer an email option once you log onto your account, but I don't think anyone even checks it. There is a chat feature, but I swear, it feels like the folks responding to it are all just reading a bunch of scripted responses, or it is bot. Something as delicate as your credit requires a much better customer service experience, especially given the fees that are charged.
This company is amount one of the higher prices but seems to offer low quality service, at least in regards to customer support. They might be good at what they do, but sadly, because of their lack on good customer service, many will never know. I really wanted to like this company and give them a chance, but am going to have to go back to the drawing board. I would not recommend them at all.
Dear Janice,
Thank you for taking the time to call me back. I am glad we were able to address your concerns.

I researched the internet for the best company to help remove a $10k hit on my credit report. The actual amount was $4k that I owed. This would have been the perfect opportunity to let credit agencies know about the error which could result in removal. I initially stated the high priority status of this situation, however, they did not keep it as a priority. Over a month went by and I did not get any updates from Lexington. They kept telling me to wait. At that point they made my situation high priority (which really made no difference). At one point I called Lexington and asked them if I should contact the creditor and advise they have given an incorrect amount to the credit agencies, Lexington advised to go ahead and do so. This was a big mistake. The creditor then made the adjustment with the credit agencies to reflect the correct amount.
The problem with Lexington is that they are a large firm and when there are individual situations like mine that need proper and attention and follow ups they cannot deliver. If I had just one case manager working on my case (vs. a different agent every time I call) I think I would have gotten the result needed, and they would have advised me to not contact the creditor. For this reason Lexington does not follow up or make efforts to resolve in timely matters resulting in accumulated monthly fees.

When I signed up with Lexington Law, I read the reviews first, just to see that there was a mix of "satisfied" and "non satisfied" consumers. First I thought that the non satisfied ones were just over exaggerating, after signing up with Lexington Law, I see know, that they were not exaggerating. DO NOT BELIEVE THE 4-5 STAR REVIEWS. Lexington Law is not a cheap service.
I contacted Lexington Law in hopes of removing some negative remarks from my credit report. The agent over the phone was very friendly, she definitely was able to convince me to sign up with them. Very good up-sell. I said to sign up for the BASIC plan, just to find out they were billing me for an "advanced". While she didn't claim my remarks would be removed instantly, she did say it shouldn't take too long because of how often my issue happens with other people. There were talks of refunds as well, but when I called several months later, they said they don't provide any sort of refund.
They kept saying, "Credit repair takes time, you have to be patient." After more than a year with no progress, how much more patient can a person get? When you ask to cancel your services they then offer to lower your monthly plan payment. AGAIN, I advise everyone reading these reports, do not believe all of the 5 star reviews. It is very rare to see someone actually receive help from this law firm. You will waste hundreds to thousands of dollars. I advise to get some better representation, even one that costs more but has better credibility.

Last December I called in to cancel the service and they talked me into staying at a discounted rate. Basically stole another $600 by not doing anything. My brother recommended LexLaw to me after they helped him fix his credit, and I hired them because I was planning on purchasing a house. LexLaw definitely came through. They were able to fight and remove the negative records that were causing me problems and with a clean bill of health I was able to purchase my house. I just set up the automatic payments and told them which ones were my highest concerns and they took care of the rest. I was busy searching for the house while they were working hard. By the time I found what I was looking for (close to two years searching) they were able to pull thorough just in the nick of time. Please be realistic though. Credit repair is a PROCESS and it does take time, but at no point did I feel they were dragging their feet. Every time I had a question they were always available and always had the answers I needed. Sometimes not the ones I wanted, but that's life. Highly recommend them.

I contact this company thinking they were going to help me. My credit was not bad, all I wanted was to raise my score a little more. I contacted them and only asked two questions. 1- Do I need to call you back once the month is over? He clearly said NO, the account will be automatically canceled after this month. 2- It's a one time payment? I do not want to be charged every month for something I do not need. He said, "Yes, You only need one month." After covering myself with this 2 question and trusting the guy who I was talking to, I made business with them. After a month I got charged $129 again because I didn't call to cancel the membership.
I was so frustrated when I heard this answer. I spent half an hour of my time asking these two questions not once, but multiple times to be covered in case something like that happened. And it happened. I call them asking for the manager to go over the conversation I had that day with the paralegal who sold me this program. They said they will listen to the recording and give a call in about 3 hours, but that if I chose to go that way and they found that they were right they would not return any of my money. I chose to move on with the conversation because I was sure I was right and they were committing an outrage and an injustice.
5 hours after I received a call from another lady, telling me that I was right but that at the end of the conversation with the foreigner paralegal (India accent) read to me the terms and conditions and that I said yes to everything. He read those terms and conditions so fast and with a very bad accent that I trust and said yes because I thought I was clear with my 2 questions at the beginning of my conversation. Can you believed this? I will just recommend people to look for another option. Not only the billing situation but my credit did not go up for this 2 months of payment.

I just canceled after being overcharged and because after 7 months nothing had been done. I had 2 items removed from my credit report that they took credit for. I actually had several other items taken off my report of my own doing. I was told many things could come off immediately because they were old. In short they didn't do anything for me. I also paid the 14 dollar fee for pulling credit and my first month fee upfront at time of sign up. Later to be told I was lying. I paid half of the first month fee because of a veteran discount and paid 109 dollars each subsequent month. Now they're telling me I'm lying about this. Do not use this service as it is just a feel good company only interested in taking your money.

I just checked my credit score, because I'm shopping around for a new apartment. Lex help me raise score after like 6 to 8 months, from 486. I had a lot of old debt but I knew a lot on report was not accurate, so I am glad I called them up. The fact I was able to witness them dispute each thing on my report, where I did not have to do anything was a relief to me. I was able to rest again, re-assure it was being worked on. Got approved for new apartment, and small loan for a few thousand, because score went up to 638.
Felt good to be able to work with someone who really do care, so I got no complaints. I give them four stars, not five (only because one time it took 4 days to hear back from them, so that was too long). But after that when I call, I always got great feedback, and seeing "action" applied to what I needed done was paying off, as I was approved for apartment, a good one when I started removing things negative off credit report. Easier to do with a "real" good credit repair company. So I give them four stars.

Refusal to refund your stolen money AFTER you've cancelled because they never did anything in the first place.

I would like to say that I was very skeptical of anyone who said they could repair my credit. I was very stupid with credit at an early age. 20 years later, I am suffering because of my decisions. I hired Lexington Law about 7 months ago. My credit score (according to Credit Karma) was 516 with TransUnion, and 523 with Equifax. My credit score now is 632 with TransUnion and 650 with Equifax. Also, I now own a home for the first time in my life. They cannot remove everything from your credit. If you expect that, then you will not be happy. They send out letters to debtors and there is a required response time. If they don't respond in a timely manner, the item is removed from your credit. If they do respond, Lexington Law sends another, and then another. It takes time.
I didn't see my first credit score change until 45 days after signing up. I have been tremendously happy with the results. One of the most important things you can do if using their service is to help them! Don't start applying for new credit the first time your score goes up. Talk to your bank and get a secured line of credit. Try to have 3 open lines of credit, and NEVER be more than 29 days late on any payment. I you do this, your credit score WILL go up.

I have been on the Lexington Law Premier Plus plan at $129.95/mo for 12 months. My problem was I had one silly collection on my accounts (only $150!) from when I moved apartments and a service agent failed to correctly shut down my internet service. I was unaware it was still active and bills were still sent to the old place. Hence it went to collections and I got the only even slightly negative thing I've ever had on my report.
I was very quickly able to dispute and remove the item with Experian myself, but then life happened and I didn't get around to Transition or Equifax. A year ago I hired LL to remove it. In that time I have paid them a total of $1559.40 to date. It took at least six months for any action to be taken as far as I could tell. It seems (it's hard to really tell what they are doing) that they did send a letter to someone at some point a few months ago, but for the last two and a half months the status on my dashboard has been "analyzing response", which I take to mean they have received a letter and have spent the past 10 weeks thinking about what to do next while they keep getting $129.95 a month from me.
I did just have an online chat with a service agent who refuted the fact that I had successfully had the negative item removed with Experian, and said that nothing was happening because I had not "escalated" the case. I don't see anywhere in their dashboard where one can do this, nor is their anything in any of their emails. The chat agent said he would initiate this for me now "to be proactive". I strongly feel that for $129 per month being "proactive" should be part of the standard service.
At this point it is clear that they are not actually doing anything meaningful, and would be quite content to sit around twiddling their thumbs while receiving my monthly $129.95 for all of eternity. It was a bit of work, but ultimately possible enough for me to remove the item from Experian myself and it's clear that that is what I shall have to do for the other two agencies as well. Lexington Law are not willing or able to help, and ultimately are just here to drain money from people.

For $109.00 a month they claim they can remove negative items on your credit report faster than going through normal channels of communication with the actual credit reporting agencies. This is false if the items you are disputing are legitimate. You can call the credit reporting agencies direct and for free and they will investigate and remove any inaccuracies. Shame on you Lexington Law for being a predator of naive individuals who are under the assumption that you are trying to help. And to Jarom, extension #**, you should find a new job with a legitimate company. Upon contacting Transunion directly I was told that the information YOU gave me was false regarding a negative item on my report.

I called Lexington for a “Free Consultation.” The customer service agent was good and answered all of my questions. However, as the conversation progressed it was apparent that he was trying to sell me the service/product. When I had told him that I am still in the progress of deciding how to go about repairing my credit (paying the debt and resolving it myself, waiting to hear from other prospective companies) he got frustrated and annoyed as he said “I just spent like 30 minutes with you and it only takes 14.99 to start.” He went on “why are you in hinged, is it the 14.99? Because you are not going to be able to find a better company that will repair your credit for you. So what’s the name on the card, is it going to be visa, discover, Amex?”
He went to try to upsell and get me to enroll on board so that they can start my case, but as I said I am still in the early stages of making decisions. I did apologize and said I just need a moment to think and decide. If I had felt that I had wasted his time I would not have called had it not been the “Free Consultation.” I was seriously thinking about going with them to repair my credit, but after the phone call conversation that made me decide that I will definitely not work with them. Skip.

They convinced me to stay 3 more months, I did. Still no results. They reduced my price to 12.95 for the additional 3 months. I have dealt with them long enough. If they could do anything or were working on the file (1 thing) SOMETHING SHOULD BE DIFFERENT after a year and half. I feel they found a way to make money off people and that's what they do, JUST DRAG ALONG as LONG AS THEY CAN.
Sent me an email stating I owe 16.95 for services because it's for a prior month and they automatically deduct from my account monthly. Also said if I didn't pay that amount they would send to collections. I cancelled in August and they got paid, so I don't understand what they want money for (and not the agreed amount). They have the power to get it, so I don't understand why they threatened me. STAY AWAY FROM THEM IS MY ADVICE. AGAIN, a year and a half working on one item (SUPPOSEDLY) EQUALS TO NO RESULTS FOR ME. The first time I tried to cancel they told me they were going to charge me another 150 bucks then they said they were going to change it and email me but never did because they didn't have the correct email address. The next time I called they didn't care that they didn't have the right email address where that they didn't cancel it and tried to threaten me again that they were going to charge me with more money!
I thought that it was canceled but just in case I even sent them an email directly from their link asking them to cancel so that it was in writing. Still didn't cancel and took money again. The third time finally after how many phone calls emails and messages she said it's canceled. I'm not even sure! I know everyone is different, but during my initial call they were "sure" they could help as I had old things on my record that had passed the time limit for being on my report, etc. They were not able to change a single thing; not even removing old records. Also, they misaddressed a letter to a creditor which was returned to me, and I read the letter, and it was written to my creditor with misspellings and incorrect grammar. Honestly, I am not surprised no creditor took it seriously. I cancelled my account after giving them an honest try.
