I decided to call after reviewing my credit report. I spoke with a representative that pulled a report and told me of the prices. I had advised her I will speak with my wife about the 89.95 per month and the initial 14.95 startup fee. Today I received a call from another person representing Lexington Law saying, "Hi I see we spoke with you last night and wanted to follow up." Ok, I stated that I had all the information from my phone call last night with the previous call taker just have not had the opportunity to talk about this yet.
She went on to say, "Don't you and your wife speak about your credit." I was shocked. I said, "Ok ma'am I will call you guys after I have spoke with my wife like I previously stated. She then said, "You called us. What's the holdup." I said, "I will not be doing business with you any longer. DO NOT CALL ME. Let me speak with a manager." In doing so he stated that if that's how the incident happened she was wrong and he was going to pull the tape. He was very courteous but after that experience I will be going to another company!!!

I started with Lexington Law on 10/17/18. After I signed up I came to this website and read some extremely poor reviews. I decided at that time that I would write a review after my first 30-40 days. So far I have received 3 letters from creditors. One saying that my account was correct, while the other two stated that not enough information has been provided. I came into this arrangement not expecting overnight results. However, I am a little concerned my creditors are saying the letters that have been sent do not contain enough information. I'm on the fence about cancelling.

My husband and I just joined and we were told that if we pay $44.95 that now and next month we pay $59.95 for our cases, does this sound right to anyone? We are on limited income and I don't need to pay out any more than what you have stated to us. If you are SCAMMIMG people then why are you as a company charging different prices and all and you state you can help clear up people's credit in so many months, then why am I seeing so many bad reviews? If you are attorneys, then why scam and lie to people who put their trust in you? We don't like to be lied to about helping us with OUR credit and I WANT ACTUAL PROOF OF LETTERS THAT YOU SENT TO THE CREDITORS AND NOT FAKE ONES.

I signed up for Concord Standard, but my account states Concord Premium (the $130/month plan). After seeing I was unable to upload supporting documentation on the app, I had to upload my 8 documents on a desktop, only to find out there is no option to actually submit those documents. As an end result, you're unable to rest assured the documents will be reflected as uploaded on their end. I emailed them, but I won’t get my hopes up on expecting a response.
Ridiculous customer service!!! As a new customer, I had a number of questions, comments, and concerns, but became discouraged after I was on hold for an entire 27 minutes?!? ...only for a recording to come on at 8:03pm stating "we're sorry you have reached us outside of our normal business hours"...even though the business hours are clearly stated on the website M-F 8 am-midnight. More false advertisement. I wish I would have read the reviews prior to initiating services with this company. Most obviously, the representatives/paralegals cut and paste these same responses from a template anytime a consumer has given them 1 star. Damn shame. Do better.

We used Lexington Law in the past and didn't get very far, so we canceled the service. Just recently we saw an ad on Craigslist for Rent To Own Homes, we called them and we were told that in order to get a listing we would need to sign up with Lexington Law. They then connect you to Lexington Law on the phone directly (letting me know they are affiliated) and they tell me to call back once I have a account with Lexington Law. Once I set up with Lexington Law and tried to call them back their number was completely disconnected.
A few weeks later I saw the same ad updated with a new phone number, so I called today, they went through their spiel about the homes. They have then told me I need to sign up with Lexington Law. Once I told them I did this they requested my email address to send me listings, while I was giving her this info she hung up. I tried to call back. The phone puts me on hold until it hangs up, then I called back from a different number, I was able to get through. I told him the problem and he did the same thing. Now I cannot get through at all from either phone.
This is a scam from a company paid to get people to sign up with Lexington Law and I will be pursuing this until I get answers. Lexington Law claims they are not affiliated but I do not believe that because they connected me directly. And since there are no homes that leaves me to believe Lexington Law is paying them for the customers they bring and will not give me the name of this company running the scam so they must be in on it. I will be searching the internet for other complaints to see if people are interested in a class action or something. If Lexington Law would like to help us our number is **. If anyone else had the same thing happen please call or email me **. We will be posting this on every review available until we get answers.

I just got off a call with a sales rep for this company, during which he read from a really obvious, generic script before asking if I could make a $14.99 payment. I said that I needed to do some research on the company before I could make a decision, and he asked what questions I had. I said I didn't really have any questions, I just wanted to read about the company before giving them money. He said, and I quote, "What, you don't trust the company? Or you don't trust me?" My response was that I don't trust anyone I talk to on the phone for five minutes and GOODBYE. Still not sure what just happened. What a weird business.

I did not have bad credit to begin with, I just wanted better credit. Since they sound like an accredited company I figured I would give them a try. My case did not seem difficult at all. I just had some old stuff from when I was in my 18's 19's. I had been with Lexington for almost a year and nothing had been accomplished. I feel dumb for sticking with them for so long but every time I called them they credited me a little back and made it seem like things were actually going to get going. I called again today 11/21/2018 to check on them because you have to constantly be checking in with them or your case will definitely just sit there while they are milking money out of your bank account.
Honestly I have other things to do, so time would go by and I did not check in. Anyhow they tried to do it again... downgrade me to a lower package. I said no I want to cancel. This is ridiculous. The lady I spoke with said I would get a final bill for $54.13 because of the work they had performed, I said what work??? Anyhow the lady I spoke with the time before had given me a 2 months credit since I had been with them for so long and nothing was literally done. This lady today said she did not see that. I disputed it and told her to read the notes carefully. She found it. Closed my account. Got a manager to waive the 54.13 they had already owed me. They just did not want to honor what was said to me. From reading other reviews they seem like an amateur company just trying to milk people's money for as long as they can just like they did me.

I am absolutely appalled with this service! When I originally signed up I was told that I would not be charged any money if I canceled before November 7th, which I did! However, today I was debited $89.95! When I called in I was told this was explained to me which it wasn’t! I feel betrayed and that I was tricked into services I could not afford! After arguing the best I got was receiving a $45 house refund!!! Absolutely absurd!!! I should be entitled to MY $89.95 that was taken!!! You are supposed to be there to help those of us needing credit and financial help not continue to put us further in a hole that we can never get out of. I am absolutely disgusted with how this was handled!!! Do not use them unless you plan on throwing away money!!!

I joined Lexington Law Firm late January or early February 2018. Amid a variety of less than impressive phone calls where I was informed about all the work they've done and the progress they made on my credit score. When I mentioned that it never showed up on my credit report I was told that monitoring my credit report for changes anywhere other than their "dashboard" wouldn't show correct credit scores. After several months, seven, of not seeing any progress I asked to be removed as a client. That was in July of 2018, I called again in August, again asking to be removed as a client and reminded them to stop charging me and return the previous months charges.
It's November and Lexington is still calling me and leaving messages like I am still a client and I keep telling them that my credit is the same as it was when I started their services and that I'm out. I haven't gotten a credit for the months that I shouldn't have been charged and I got another annoying message again a couple days ago, so I am pretty sure that I can expect another charge for this month. How do you get these people to do the job they promise or get them to accept our breakup and stop charging me???

I've been paying Lexington Law since January of 2018. Only 7 items removed so far. I believe Lexington Law is taking a very passive approach to working on each case. Lexington law claims they can only send out 3 letters per cycle and a typical cycle is approximately 30-60 days. In reality they are billing you over $100 monthly and sending 3 letters out every 60 days. Extremely passive approach to with very little results. They claim sending more letters will result in a frivolous response and risk freezing your credit accounts. 10 years ago I used their service and was able to get 90 percent of the negative items off my report in less than 3 months. I believe Lexington Law is using the "frivolous" rebuttal to gain additional monthly profits to vulnerable clients. I'm planning to discontinue my service and provide negative feedback wherever possible.

I acquired Lexington Law to repair my credit that was really not that bad, but I truly wanted to make corrections (Items on report that had been paid in full or were 7 years or older) and/or set up payment arrangements. I was unemployed for a year and took a Sabbatical while my son was ill with a debilitating disease was the only reason I had experienced any credit difficulties. I paid the required fees and had them automatically withdrawn from my bank account. It was awful... the letters they drafted to my creditors were sent to me and not the creditors. Some creditors were never contacted. I followed up and contacted the creditors with calls and letters and have documented proof.
The creditors had worked better with me one-one, then when Lexington Law was suppose to have worked with them Lexington Law made things worst. I called and cancelled my services. They did not cancel and continued to withdraw funds from my bank account. I called again and they were irate over the fact that I had cancelled and stated they never received it. At that given time, Again, I stated I was cancelling the service and never wanted anything to do with them period. Their service is full of untruths and they are using Credit Sesame and Credit Karma to promote a very dishonest practice. Lexington Law made threats about what they could do to a person’s credit if they wanted too. Thanking you in advance for the opportunity to expose the truth about Lexington Law. Please DO NOT acquire or use any services they have.

No shame would you do this to your mother, grandmother, friend, neighbor. Bad practice. Bad bad bad bad bad! Do not trust this company! Do it yourself! Preying on 84-year-old people. My name is Matthew. I Had Lexington Law for maybe 8 months. After the first 4 I had very little progress, I think maybe one late payment removed. Keep in mind my subscription started at 120+ dollars a month. After calling to cancel for lack of progress they agreed to escalate some issues for me and send some notarized letters about some cars I had repossessed. They also lowered the price to 70$ a month. I had the letters they sent me notarized and mailed them back. I kept my subscription active as I was very curious about what these notarized letters would do.
So 4 months and 280 dollars later I called to cancel because again there is no progress and they say that they never received my notarized letters. They claimed they must have been lost in the mail. I assume they were simply misplaced by someone within Lexington Law. So now I have paid maybe close to 800$ for maybe 15 letters to be sent over an 8 month period. I feel that Lexington Law does a really good job of making you feel like they care, but if you never call and complain about progress they will literally bill you every month and never take an initiative to escalate anything. I don't recommend them. Not cost effective or organized.

This company is a money hungry rip off in its worst form. I hired them, paid them 3 months payments of $129.00 each month. They have not done anything for me. Before I hired them I disputed 2 items on my credit report through the good old Credit Karma and these items were pending to be removed. Lexington took the credit for it which is rather disturbing and shows me their dishonesty. I now have less respect and confidence in them. I cancelled them, and they spitefully put back the items on my credit that were pending removal, that was done by me, not them. I have a warning for Lexington Law: DON'T MESS with God's people!!! Vengeance is mine says the LORD! Trust me your day is coming.

I signed up with this firm at the beginning of this year hoping to get 1 item removed from my report that shouldn't even be there. Yes, only 1. They promise to be able to remove 5-7 items on average so I thought this should be easy. Unfortunately there were few red flags through the process: Initially I got signed up for $149/month. After 3 months and no improvement they said that I can continue challenge the item for $25/month because the rest is only for credit protection or something like that. So why did not anyone offer me this on the first place? Throughout the process the status on my case showed as pending, and for one credit bureau intervening. When I pointed it out they said that they will try to address all of them. Again, why wasn't this done since the beginning?
After few more months with no results they keep saying that they will try another thing and then another. More heavy dispute, notarized letters etc. ONCE AGAIN, WHY WASN'T THIS DONE RIGHT AWAY?! WHY IT TOOK 6 MONTHS AND MY INQUIRY TO HAVE THIS DONE? After 10 months and absolutely no results I decided to stop the service. I have a serious doubt about legitimacy of this business.

I decided to go through Lexington Law to help fix my credit, and was greatly misinformed by the agent on the phone. He told me that I would get a military discount on my first month's payment, and that I would ONLY be charged for the work that was done each month. He said I could cancel at any time, but did not mention anything about a “end of service fee”. I canceled my service well before this month because I am moving to Hawaii and need to save all of the money that I can. When I saw the charge of $80+ to my account, I called and was told that they’re sorry I was misinformed, but they would only refund that money to me if I agree to go into a $24.99 a month contract with them, because they want to make sure I come back to them.
I told the representative that this makes no sense. They will only give me a refund if I pay them more money? I am super upset, and I feel ripped off and lied to. I will not recommend this service to anyone and I will make sure to warn all of my friends and family about this service and their shady business tactics. They also drag out your case to get more money from you. I wouldn’t have been upset if they could have just issued the refund.

Updated on 11/26/2018: I posted a review about how bad the service was previously but thought I was through with Lexington Law. I logged into my credit union to find out where my money was missing and they hit my account up for numerous charges.
Original Review: I contacted Lexington Law in early July for credit repair for myself and my spouse. After a great consultation I was convinced they could help us out. I had a collection for $197 on 2 of my reports and a dismissed Bankruptcy on 3 and some other minor things. I started at the top level with 2 accounts and every month I contacted them saying nothing changed and it wasn't worth it. They lowered our levels to cost less money and when I decided to cancel the last month they said they would put a discount on both accounts which would make it cost the lowest level but would be at the Lexington Essentials levels which was more than enough to do what we needed. I didn't know I was paying for things we didn't need.
I originally started them both off at the Premier Plus level during the first month and then lowered them to Concord & Essentials for 2 months. It said 0 out of 7 items removed on both accounts and then in late August it said 1 out of 8 on mine. It said they removed a Bankruptcy but the thing is it was added back on the same day on Transunion. After this entire time nothing has been removed from my spouse's report. I would always jump on their website to chat and ask them if anything was happening or any progress and that's when they would talk about doing another strategy which would take 30-45 days and drag out the process. I feel they are only about getting consistent money and do not care less if you improve your credit or they help get things removed off of your reports.
In the 4th month they attempted to charge my card 2 different amounts both not what they agreed and one even higher than the Lexington Essentials package regularly. All of the sudden after not hearing from them ever since the initial consultation I am getting multiple calls every day saying to contact them because they have information on my case. The funny thing is I finally got results from the investigation of the collection (which I paid in full and have documentation I provided to them).
Experian had removed that for me when I presented it so I assumed Lexington Law would be able to get the other 2 to remove it since it was obvious that the account was paid and should have never had 1 payment sent to collections. They remained on Transunion and Equifax. I really have no intentions of doing business with Lexington Law ever in the future and don't know how they will remedy this situation. It definitely feels like a scam especially when the only time you hear from them is when they want that next payment.

I called Lexington Law because a friend of mine referred me. The rep said it would be $14.99 for them to pull my credit report and sent me a text for me to approve that charge. However, 5 days later, my card was charged $129.95. I did not approve that charge and called them immediately. They said that they could not give me a refund due to the work that was already done. They said they mailed out 3 letters. I let them know that the rep did not inform me of those charges. The person I spoke with said that they always tell their clients the charge. I told them to listen to the recording. They said they’ll have a supervisor listen to the tape but it will and a few days.
Due to them not wanting to refund me I told them I’ll try them out and lowered my plan to $60. I tried calling them for a whole week prior to them charging me but could not get through due to high call volume. The day my card got charged again I called them early in the morning. The rep then told me they couldn’t refund me due to the work that was done. I asked what additional work was done? What was the $129.95 for? And they just charged me the $59.95 that day. This company is a complete scam and will just take your money. As soon as they have your cc number they will charge it and you won’t be able to get your money back. Please listen to these reviews. I wish I did. This company put me in a worse situation than I originally was in. Do not trust them.

They have offered to return all charges and accept me back within 60 day I believe. My Bank has advised me to just stay with the dispute I made instead of a return from Lexington Law just for safety reasons it sounded. I'm sure it'll be settled but my thing is how the guy told what they was going to do like the charges and I could dispute how I liked. When you've been done wrong or you feel it's wrong it just don't sit well.
Original Review: This company took credit of work I'd done right before I hired them, funny. Then after how I seen how they milked my son I called and told them to stop my service before a month was up. They told me they would still charge me and they did, I told the guy I had this conversation recorded through an app on cell. I called my bank today and disputed charges. I'll get it back and if they need my conversation and emails they'll let me know. Crooks in my opinion. I had 3 negatives and all I really need was a low cost plan but they stuck my with the best one and acted like I did that.
My hope is people read this before you hire these scammers. They blew my phone and email up for a short time and after a while your on phone 20 mins waiting for them to answer. They still haven't sent an email I stopped plan. My bank told me they can do this because I give them my card number. He also told me to get a new card just in case they try next month. So disappointed!!!

I got involved with Lexington Law because I was trying to get on a Rent to Own program and was told I had to go through them first. So in March I signed up and told that I had to authorize a $14.95 fee right away to pull a credit report. I wasn’t happy but I said fine. Then they said it would be $129.95 a month. "Wow", I thought!!! That’s a lot of money to me but I agreed since I wanted to get into a home. Then I found it that a Rent to Own program is not available here. But, instated with Lexington Law so that I could fix my credit. They did NOTHING for me!!! Months later I was no better off than when I started. They put me on the $59.95 program when I complained but still nothing improved with my credit.
All they do is send letters and they say the letter comes from you which is stupid. You can do that yourself. The letters don’t even look professional. No company letterhead. Just look typed on a typewriter. I canceled a few months ago and told them that I want at least a partial refund because they did nothing! Spoke to a supervisor who said they don’t give refunds and that they never promised that they would fix my credit. Total lie!!! After much complaining, they gave me a measly $20 refund. Don’t go with this company. People that wrote reviews were right. You can do this yourself.

I called several days ago to cancel both my husband and my account with Lexington Law. It was easy to set up the credit repair without my husband. But, I cannot cancel it without him. The rep on the phone convinces me to reduce to a cheaper package for $9. She claims to do be helping me by escalating my cases while I'm on the phone. She said she was sending it out. Then tell me I will be able to monitor the results of the escalated cases she sent to out while on the phone with me. I told her to remove my card off of my husband's account.
She confirm everything was done. Days later, I have two charges of $129 on bank account. This is fraud. I did not give them permission to charge this amount. Today I call and the rep on the phone tells me I have to pay for services rendered. (The services rendered I was on the phone) Like the rep said she can see I called to cancel, but switched to a different package, but will not refund me. Then the lady places me on hold for 12 minutes. Claims that she is going to get her supervisor. And while on the phone I receive an email.
Lack of communication, social skills, professionalism, and customer service. Not only that, I log into their website. They changed my dashboard to only monitor my credit, but I was charged for one of the most expensive package. They are stealing. Lastly, the representative hangs up on me. Basic customer skills is to call the customer back. Never again. They are the worst. I had them for 3 months and they didn't do anything. It's not worth it.

I purchased this service for 3 months. Absolutely nothing was done to improve my credit. The standard letters were sent out to creditors and that was about all. No follow ups whatsoever. In fact, two of the disputed charges from 4 years prior were actually restarted in the collection process. Meaning, the 3 years remaining for charges to fall off had now rest to 7.
Then, upon trying to cancel the service I had to wait 20 minutes on the phone, since this is the only means of terminating your monthly fee. I was also informed I would be charged N addition month's fee. The fee was not because of the close proximity to the next month's billing cycle BUT for work they had done the previous month. Really?? The place is a nightmare to deal with. The “paralegals” are rude and give scripted generic responses. I know bad credit issues can be stressful and overwhelming but in all honesty, this company just adds to the stress and does nothing to deserve your hard earned money.

I do not want Lexington Law using the information I provided to bill me 129.00 for a phone call. I contacted a rent to own site that put me through to Lexington Law. I made it very clear that I did not want to purchase services. When the representative tried to tell me I'd be charged I told them to have a great day and hung up. Being as I provided my social security number I'm very worried that my information will be used to bill me anyway. I signed up with Lexington Law maybe about almost 2 months ago. In the beginning I had no problem because I'm trying to buy a new car in my name. I thought maybe they could help me. Well to make a long story short about a week ago I received a lawsuit from Synchrony Bank who issued my Walmart Card which went into collections. I ended up paying them 820.00 to stop the lawsuit. I feel Lexington Law created this situation because as soon as they sent the letter out disputing the charge that's when the lawsuit came. No one never told me that this may be a possibility. I'm not telling anyone what to do but please do your research before signing up with these companies. Since this has happened I have settled 2 of my debts on my own. Was able to settle for much less. Just trying doing it yourself if you can instead of paying someone else to do it. I have learned a very expensive and hard lesson and will never be irresponsible with credit again.

When I called them to get information, because I didn’t have a case with them (which was the point if the call), I was advised they couldn’t find a record to assist me in getting the fraudulent charges to my bank card reversed. I will now have to pursue the charges with my back instead of receiving a refund clearly due to me, and am missing money from my account in the meantime. Wouldn’t ever trust a business with such practices to handle any matter for me and no one else should either.

I got set up with Lexington Law after I purchased a car. Paid for credit report that I was promised by mail and never received. I tried calling to cancel services because I felt 129.00 a month was outrageous for something on my credit report I could take care of myself. The man I spoke to still wanted to charge me the full 129 although I had only had services for 2 weeks. Not even really. So the company felt they were doing me a favor so I was told. Giving me a discount to switch to a different plan. But still after a call for status update they were still trying to charge me for the original 129 a month and not 24.95 which was a different program I was set up with. All I've ever gotten out of anybody over the phone is well... "There's no notes in your file... And I do apologize sir."
And I like... Well... That's what everyone's saying... And still I supposedly canceled services but still days later I have a charge on a card I no longer even use. After reading reviews here seems as if a lot of folks are or were having problems like I was. Even folks that had a ok experience. Still said dealing with them is a marathon not a sprint, one review said. All in all at the end of the day. I'm very disappointed with the so called services that I signed up for.
I greatly encourage other folks to read reviews before setting up services with Lexington Law. They seem friendly at first. But some stuff is not explained. Or when you have a problem and call. They will say, "Well I'm sorry you were misinformed but let me explain." Not the way it should work. Obviously folks that call or are recommended are in need of credit repair so everyone is eager to repair their credit. But in reality Lexington Law did nothing for me and I threw my money away. I would of gave them a negative number for review if possible. But had to give one star.

When I first started with Lexington Law I was overwhelmed obviously as I have no idea about credit. When I called I spoke with a lady that stated there is a $14 fee to pull credit, this makes sense. She then stated the first fee is 129.00 to start working on my case. She said that it takes 5 business days before they pull this out of my account as they are a law firm and require that work has to be done before they can bill a client. So I agreed as it all makes sense. I have a total of 8 charge off on my account. Not a lot but they are impacting my credit and again I know nothing of this. So they told me they sent out 8 letters and then I got charged the 129.00. Makes sense. Immediately 2 came back stated they are fixing it.
I was amazed and shocked and happy, was like this is wonderful. On another note my gf did the same thing. Except she has 83 negative marks on her account. Immediately 2 came back stating they fixed it. She thought the same thing, wonderful. After a couple of weeks of silence I called up and asked what else is being done. They said that it takes from 30-60 days typically to hear anything back. Well, if two accounts opened with Lexington Law only show 2 things each being done with the accounts each month, that tells me they charge 129.00 per month to write two letters a month per account. Now I wish they told me that to begin with. Well in talking with the gentleman I told him I'm not happy with only 2 things per month being done and want to cancel my account. He then stated that I will be billed a pro rated charge for next month.
I asked him why am I being billed when I was already billed in advance. He then stated that they billed me the 129 up front to set up the account, and then I'm billed 129 per month for the two letters they sent out in the prior month. I'm not going to lie, I'm rather angry, but I can keep my composure. Upset I told him I was not happy but to invoice me. He came back minutes later stating that he won't invoice me for the month due to the confusion. All in all I understand now how they work, two letters a month for 129.00/month on their top plan.
What's also remarkable is he said with only 8 items I should not of even been billed for that plan as it wasn't necessary. So you have people giving out wrong information when you sign up and overbilling when you sign up, to find out little to no work being done each month as you progress and they suck up your money. In final, I paid 14.00 for credit check and 129.00 for two charge offs to be removed. That's all anyone's going to get. And I sure don't have the thousands of dollars it's going to take to have my g/fs 83 accounts to be handled at 2 per month.

Objectively my credit score decreased slightly over 11 months with Lexington Law. Letters that are sent to creditors are barely professional and several were returned to my address instead of a creditor. Subjectively my phone calls were ~50% good/ bad with communication. “Paralegals” were more like telemarketers or salesman. Very little legal help. I took all my letters, conversations, and objective data from Lexington Law to a reputable lawyer and he told me I was being scammed on a monthly basis. Very bad. Stay away. I called Lexington Law Firm to assist with getting my credit repaired. The representative talked me into adding my husband as well tell me that it would be the same price because they would give a 50% discount on both account. I clearly informed the representative that I was only interested in my account; however, would add my husband's for the one month. When I called to cancel I was advised that I would be charged for my husband's account because they had sent out additional letters. I canceled immediately.
A couple month later a representative called me saying they would work my account at a lower price of $27 something if I would give them another chance. Stupid me gave them another change and stupid me got burned again. They removed nothing. There was only one Name company removed off my credit that was listed twice and for each credit bureau. This was a medical company that I probably could have asked to remove it myself and most likely they would have. Now of the things I consider more important were removed.

I am an active consumer with Lexington Law Client ID: **. I am a licensed insurance agent in the state of Texas. I consider myself a business professional. One of my goals in the near future is to buy a home that I can call my own. Just like the average American, I do not have the capital to do so and need assistance by getting a mortgage loan. In order to do that we all know that you have to have a somewhat solid credit score. So I was referred to Lexington Law by one of my buddies. I started on April 30, 2018 and purchased their premier package at a cost of $129.95/month. Paid that and a $14.99 Credit Report fee to start my miserable experience with Lexington. $14.95 was debited from my account on 05/01/2018 and $129.95 was debited from my account after on 05/07/2018.
I was excited to start this process and got access to my Experian, Equifax, TransUnion, and FICO scores and also to see the 18 items on my credit report once they received the reports from all creditors. I would log in to my account and check it after every time I received an email saying that my reports have been received. I understand that everyone's credit history/status differs so I patiently waited while making my payments each month until after month 4. I called to speak with a paralegal to check on any update or status because I hear that most people start seeing results after 90 days and I have not seen any results after 120 days at this point. The representative told me over the phone that she thought it was odd and crazy too and she was going to show my profile to her supervisor.
I explained to them that I have paid over $500 so far and I am getting a little worried. So they told me that what they will do is reduce my package down to the $59.95 and refund me the difference. I agreed and they did so. They also stated that they are going to email me over some letters to be notarized, signed, and sent back to their escalation department. (Now I am working for them and paying them.) I asked them if they can send me the letters for all my items and I will gladly get them all signed, notarized, and mailed back to them. They stated that they can only send 3 items at a time every 30 days.
Me being worried about the situation, I started googling independent credit repair professionals, and was told that they charge a one time fee depending on how many items are on my report and mail all the letters out at once. They also stated that companies like Lexington Law charge a monthly fee so that they can work at their own pace and you keep paying them. I called Lexington back a few days later after they reduced my payment to pay for the month of October in advance. After I made my payment and it was processed, I got a new debit card and left the old card info on file. It is October 8, 2018 and I received an email saying that my payment was not processed for the month of October. I checked my bank statements and the payment was processed 09/10/2018.
I called Lexington Law to let them know about the email that I have received and was told that their systems are down and I need to call them back in about an hour or two. I told the lady that I am not trying to be difficult but I am busy with work and I am really getting upset with the company and would like them to give me a call back when the system is up because I do not want to keep waiting on hold and take the chance of the system not being up still when I do call back. She told me that she cannot take any personal information from me. I told her that my name is not common like John Smith and I am 100% positive that I am the only Fredrick ** who is a consumer with them, so can I please just leave my name and number and you can have anyone call me back and they can transfer me to whomever I need to speak with. She denied me, so I asked to speak with her manager.
The manager started to say the same thing so I told her the same thing about my name and I would like to just leave my name and number. She said ok sure and reiterated what I said about being transferred by whomever calls me if I needed to speak to another department. It is 10/08/2018, 162 days with Lexington Law, and I still have 0 results on my 18 items. Some might call me an idiot for sticking with them, but I do not like taking Ls and have invested $654.77 into this and am being charged an additional $69.99 for October after I have already paid and for the month and then was told my monthly payment was going to be $10 cheaper than what they are trying to double bill me for. I am seeking results or a refund!

I have been using Lexington law from years. When the 2008 economy took a hit I was one who felt it dramatically. Car repossessed, student loans went into collection, credit card charge-offs, etc. There were times I wanted to fire them because it was taking so long. I couldn't even get approved for a $500.00 credit card at this time. Fast forward a few years, I have had 59 deletions, I went from using secured credit cards with $250.00 limits to now having American Express Platinum, Gold, Am Ex cash card and an Amex Everday card. I 100% recommend Lexington Law but you just have to be okay with knowing dealing with them is a marathon and not a sprint.

The only reason why I inquired about this company was because a first time home buyers company said I had to get started with them 1st. I decided after a week and reading reviews that this company was useless and I could do this myself. I called on 9/21 and had this service canceled with someone named Brian. He said he would remove the account. On 10/4 I seen a transaction for $109.95 pending to be removed from my account so I called back and spoke with an April **. She stated she seen no notes I called in to cancel and she would do so but there was nothing she could do about the money that was removed because she didn’t see a cleared payment on her end. She also stated I would be charged $35 as a payment for the work they had already done which should have been nothing because I been called and had the account canceled last month and had already taken care of my credit issues myself.
I told her I wanted a supervisor and she placed me on hold and hung up. I called back and spoke with a Carry who was absolutely rude and disrespectful and I immediately asked for a supervisor and she placed me on hold for 5 minutes came back and said no supervisor was available which I found hard to believe as this is a huge company. I told her to find one and she said no and she wasn’t going to go in circles and hung up on me. After she hung up I noticed another charge for $19.95 that was done moments after she hung up. For what is my question? Do not trust this company. They are only in it for the money. Everything they claim they can do you can do yourself. They are making money off to do absolutely nothing but lie.

I am extremely DISAPPOINTED in the way they are doing business. I informed them that I only had one major thing I wanted off my credit and they informed me that they will be able to take it off. It’s been almost a year and NOTHING has come off of my credit. A WASTE of TIME and now they are trying to charge me a monthly charge of $145. The Scam is they want to make it seem like they are doing so much for your credit and to string you along for month after month. A few old payments on a Capital One that I was current on are now reporting as late and it dropped my score significantly. I asked them why and to correct the error and they won’t respond directly to me. I had some late car payments and credit card payments I needed resolved and none have been removed from my report. Not one item. Over the phone when I signed up they said I’d be a good candidate. What is really frustrating is the automatic generic responses to my emails. They never address my concerns or specifically answer my questions.
I’m extremely upset and will be canceling soon since there has been no improvement or progress made. I received a few letters from credit bureaus needing information and I was timely in sending that to Lexington Law only to receive an automatic response and then they said they didn’t receive it. The amount of time I’ve spent emailing them with questions and asking for updates I could have repaired my credit myself. Extremely frustrating to not have a point of contact and generic e-mail responses directing me to a self-serve portal.

I started with Lexington Law in March of 2018. All I had that was really hurting my credit was a charge off from Synchrony Bank. In signing up the rep advised over & over how they are amazing with removing charge offs and I have nothing to worry about, they remove these all the time, so on and so on. I had already did a few disputes on my own right before signing up. In the first month the disputes I had already done they were trying to take credit for and it had only been 2 weeks since I initially signed up.
Each month I was persistent in checking and reviewing my account checking on disputes they sent out and NOTHING. Every month I received the EXACT SAME LETTERS no matter what they sent out. Then they advised I should get letter notarized and that was only AFTER I called to complain that they were collecting my money $129.98 per month and doing absolutely nothing to help my credit.
I reached out to them SEVERAL time regarding the charge off and they stated were sending first level, 2nd level disputes and still nothing. Fast forward to a month and a half ago I receive a letter from an attorney - a LAWSUIT for the charge off from Synchrony bank. I call them to advise and the rep/legal advisor tells me - Oh I'm sorry - yes they can still come back and sue you over the debt you owe. I almost blew my top! The amount I paid to them $800 or more I could've just used to pay off the debt straight to the collections company.
I then canceled with Lexington Law, went through a manager/supervisor and no reconciliation, of course no form of a refund whatsoever on anything of course and then they had the audacity the next month to charge me AGAIN, after I canceled with the manager. Lexington Law is a rip off and it's not worth it - especially when I seen better results with working on my credit in 1 month than they produced in 6 months. Now I still have to pay Synchrony bank on top of all the money paid to Lexington Law and all they can say is, "Oh I'm so sorry." Stay away and do it yourself!

Don't pay them! Rip off and nothing changes. You could easily send out letters to credit bureaus and creditors only to get letters back saying they will not remove and must stay on your credit report for 1 or 2 yrs. Waste of money and time. Don't do it, you have been warned.

I was told that I should start seeing results within 30 days, and then I was told 45 days, and then I was told 60 days. I canceled my subscription after the 60-day mark when I noticed that there wasn't any progress in removing the two negative items from my report.

I have been paying this law firm to help me with my credit since May of this year every month faithfully. First off they have barely made a dent in my credit score. Second they were charging me $129.95 a month and literally removed one thing this month so I canceled my services with them and they still took $129.95 out of my account. They are a ripoff!!! When I asked them to please put my money back they said that I paid them for the past month which is a lie. I paid May 21st. To start my case it should have lasted until June- 21st, I paid in July 21st till August 21st. I paid in August 21st till September 21st so when they wasn’t helping anymore I canceled on the 27th of September and they refuse to give my money back and they haven’t done anything for me since my last payment. You can do better doing it yourself. You will be sorry if you hire these people. In the end they are not going to help you.

Lexington Law firm completely scammed me out of my money. I was told 9/21 that I needed to pay $14.99 for the representative to access my credit report and after 30-45 days, if I was satisfied with their service with my report, I would then be charged a fee beginning with $129.95 or higher (depending if I wanted additional services). The representative lied! I checked my account today (4 days later) and was in fact charged $129.95 for their service. I called the firm to explain I was never informed of the additional charges, they would only refund me back half of my money. ALSO I called to call back 3 times because one of the reps I spoke with hung up in my face! The only "service" they provide is writing a pre-written letter to your creditors asking to get our debt removed. You can do that yourself! Don't waste your money.

Let me start off by saying I've heard very good things about Lexington Law by friends and even family members. I decided to sign up to get rid of some bad debt remarks I have had on my credit from credit card companies that I have made a settlement with and have finished paying them off. Unfortunately Lexington Law has come so far from all the reviews I have heard from family and friends. I have had terrible customer service experiences that have just delayed my process time after time again. Every so often I do speak to a paralegal that is very helpful, I must give credit where credit is due.
For the most part however I have seen no type of improvements on my credit due to anything Lexington Law has done. I have been using them for about 6 months now and It just feels like I'm throwing my money away month after month. I have 15 negative marks on my credit and not one has been removed in 6 months. I have even signed and have had letters notarized which they said would help the process and still I have not received any type of positive outcomes. I will keep my membership active for another month but if nothing is done by then I will just take my losses and cancel my membership as an extremely disappointed client.

I signed up with Lexington Law at the end of October, 2017. It is now almost one year later. I had five negative items with eleven reported tradelines across all three bureaus. They dazzled me with 5 of 11 tradeline removals within the first three months. Unfortunately, there have been no results since then and the removals were minor issues such as an incorrect car insurance collection of only $70.00, a collection with Comcast because I forgot to return their router during a relocation and an overdrawn bank account during the same move which I paid once I realized my error.
My six year old charge-offs with high balances at Bank of America and Citibank are being reported across all three bureaus. These are the key tradelines destroying my credit record and are my highest priority. There have been no removals for almost a year. My main concern is that numerous different paralegals answer the phone. None of them have a real understanding of my issues. They simply provide pre-packaged generic answers to my questions using vague jargon. They are very friendly. But, I have reached a point where I don't understand what they are doing other than shot-gunning out random electronic disputes and challenges and simplistic letters hoping something will stick. I have reached a point of diminishing return and will likely terminate my relationship soon if no results are obtained in the near future.

I had the service for about 4 months. My payments was on time always. I didn't know challenges will lower your credit score which wasn't a problem with me. Learning experience even though my score dropped about a good give or take 20 to 50 points. All I really wanted was a good factual credit report because I got a credit card and used it like a debit card every week. Paid the balance if not in full most of the balance. So I know my credit score is rising fast. On this method my score went from a 550 to a 613 in 4 months. If I was told the truth about how challenging works my score would be at a 633 to 663.
Well anyway I call today to ask a question about why my score haven't been updated and the answer I got was outrageous. First the lady Tiffany ** was nice then rude when she realized I'm about my credit score. She told me my credit card was canceled and call my bank. What she didn't know I have a good relationship with my bank and if there was any problems with my account my banker would call me personally to get in my butt about my account (she got me my car loan 2014 BMW GT and a 8k credit limit). So I told Tiffany you have to be mistaken that I check my score all the time but Tiffany was adamant that my account was closed. So I went on the website and told her look my credit card account is on the website they sign you up for. You can tell she was mad and said, "oh our internet is down." So I said to myself they don't care about me or my report what am I paying them for cancel my account.
Then after asked to speak with a supervisor. She said they not there. She will send a letter to her. In my head is like, "You're not going to send a letter about yourself about how bad you were." Ask for an email phone number. She said she can't give me one. I ask for her name. She says Tiffany **. Account closed immediately at this point. Talk to the online server. She says she sees my credit card account I know. Then later on that night I receive a message from a Tiffany ** (coincidence) that my account is canceled. My last month payment will be taken out and the will waive my reinstatement fee dealing my situation. No call, no solution to the horrible experience, no nothing. To me personally this company is a bunch of liars period.

Updated on 11/01/2018: 4 Months. -0- results. As I continue to better my credit situation on my own, my score has in fact dropped since hiring Lexington Law. I was promised a lot, nothing was delivered. 0 results. 0 Nothing. Props to you guys for being able to string me along as long as you did. After my last negative review, someone reached out to me. At that time they actually told me a negative item was removed (which it wasn't) then said it mysteriously showed back up. My review? My experience? A lot of waiting and it benefitted me NONE. Nothing was accomplished except for receiving my monthly payment. I do NOT recommend.
Original Review: 2 months in. Zero results. The sales pitch is MULTIPLE items off on the 1st 30 days... Something like 6 items per month. I only have 2 neg items and they are both over 7 years old. Should have been an easy one right?? I should have known something this cheap could not & would not deliver. 30 days isn't long enough to make anything happen anyway, so why offer it?
Actually telling "WOULD BE" customers that they should expect multiple items removed in the 1st 30 days is a lie! IT IS NOT TRUE. It's comical seeing the different scripts the staff are trained with when speaking with potential v/s existing customers. No results. My credit actually dropped 30 points overnight 3 weeks ago, and the only answer I can get from them is that they don't know, and to wait (till the next billing cycle). I'll allow another month for the company to make something then I'm contesting ALL CC charges for no services rendered. I'm really hoping these guys come through and I can eat all my words here and come back with a stellar review. I would have happily paid 10X the price for a product that actually DELIVERED.

I was trying to apply for a loan. They apparently cold-transferred me to Lexington Law. 3 days later, I have an over 129 dollar pending charge on my card from them. I have spoken with them on the phone and all I get is lies. First I spoke with Tiffany. She was extremely rude to me so I asked for a supervisor, she refused to transfer me, told me a supervisor would not take the call, and told me the charge I did not authorize was valid and that there was nothing to cancel in their system, she did nothing and disconnected the call. So I called my card company to dispute the charge and they told me that because the charge was still pending, Lexington Law would have to reverse the pending charge it.
I called again to cancel and spoke with Katherine. She helped me get it cancelled because apparently they were going to take another 129+ every month. Then I called back, because I need that 129 dollars to pay my rent and I never authorized them to charge me anything. I spoke with someone and immediately asked for a supervisor. The rep was polite and said no problem, she would get one for me. Proving to me that everything Tiffany had said on my initial call was just lies. And I know it's recorded. I recorded all my conversations with them as well, so I have direct proof that they are nothing but liars and cheats.
So I waited on hold for about 4 minutes, then she came back on the line and told me that the supervisor is busy, but they looked at my case and would reverse the pending charge. I asked for a confirmation email, she put me on hold again and said she sent it. I have still not received an email. I asked her when this would happen and she said as soon as the charge goes through, tomorrow morning, that she personally would reverse and put the money back in my account. It still hasn't happened.

But since starting their services I have had 14 removals across all of my credit reports. I also check on the website Credit Karma and it is accurate, they are repairing my credit. However, I chose the $25 a month plan (so it is a slower process). This company doesn't sell a one size fits all type deal. My success might not be the norm. You can't go into something expecting amazing results instantly. Mine happened over months of work from them. Please do your research and ask questions. They willingly state they are the only law firm that has a relationship with all 3 credit bureaus. I have used them on and off for several years now. Recently, I noticed that all items previously removed by Lexington had return. I was informed today, per the arrangement they have with each bureau - they give each creditor 45-60 days to respond vs. the standard 30 days & they won't challenge the items they previously removed without going through the basic standard dispute again.
This is a stall tactic to keep you on as long as possible. I kept asking the rep, why would I pay twice for the same service. My debt was not sold to a 3rd party, they just reappeared which is FDCPA if you are notified within 5 days of debt returning. Lexington refused to pursue the FDCPA violation because their relationship with the credit bureaus are more valuable to them their clients. It is all a scam.

After multiple tries, Lexington had me send new notarized escalations. I had replies from creditors saying "the letter didn't include evidence or mention a specific dispute" and "this letter includes language commonly used by purveyors of fraudulent credit repair schemes, who for a fee promise false credit repair." If they took time sending reputable letters, maybe I could have saved a few months of repeated payments to Lexington.

They did not seem to know what was going on, reported false reasons to the credit bureau about why the claim should be removed and did not react to responses from the credit bureau. Very disappointing and impersonal.

I'd like to hear this supposed agreement. I have been on the phone with them all day and can only get a partial refund, because "our attorneys already did work for you." I did not ask your attorneys to do any work for me. You have caused me a financial hardship. I am unable to pay for my medications. Your customer service and supervisors have treated me like a piece of dirt. I was refused a supervisor to speak to from Leimomi. Very rude lady. I see you have a ton of complaints about your shady business practices and always refuse to refund money. For a company that says it helps people, it seems it puts more people in the poor house.

I had dealt with Lexington Law about 10 years ago only to immediately recognize this company is a sham. I spoke to them this morning after many years only to recognize nothing has changed except their sales pitch. Very simply put, they look to ride a wave of a dragged out process that you can do yourself through identifying negative items on your report, sending letters to each of the credit bureaus certified mail and return receipt stating the negative marks are "inaccurate". By law, this gives the bureaus 30 days to either remove the negative item once found to be false or to substantiate its validity. The bureaus however do not follow the law and will not remove negative items for at least a year. I have personally monitored this being done with impunity. This is where Lexington Law justifies its existence.
They just point the finger at the bureaus while doing nothing except continuing to take a monthly retainer from you (their gullible client). They don't actually ever take legal action against the bureaus for deliberately violating the law. Lexington Law is looking for weak minded individuals who will trust them. Their business model is designed to take advantage of the credit bureaus ability to violate the law without consequence. It's like opening a flower shop next to fatal car accidents hoping to sell flowers for the funeral. They aren't going to go after the person responsible for the accident, they're just going to sell flowers.

Well, Where to start? I Hired Lexington Law in Nov 2017. The First Item that was deleted was a 1600 Tax lien About 2 -3 weeks after signing up. The first month 2-3 Collections deleted. I Didn't get any mail from the credit agencies but I watched as they went Bye-Bye through credit monitoring Myself... Credit Karma and WalletHub have been the best for me. WalletHub updates around 6 am every morning. Both are free. I paid Lex 99 a month for about 6 months. They deleted 80% of my collections during that time Which was 16 of them across the board for all 3. They are completely OFF. I did a couple things like Paying Capital One for a secured card and Discover. Both Offered zero annual fee and approved me instantly online. My credit score at the time was around 570's.
Fast forward to April. My transmission went out on my car and I have a family and need a vehicle. Credit Karma was showing me at 648 and Equifax at 640 so I knew I could qualify for a car loan. I went to the dealership and they ran my credit and it was 708 trans and 695 EQ. I learned then, it's good to use the free monitoring, but the scoring model is very different when buying a car or a home. I wound up getting 7% int from Chase and not having to worry at all about my credit. Lexington Law was behind me every step I have taken. They are super to work with and I will continue to tell of their good deeds.

I have no idea why Lexington Law Firm started sending me text messages for "credit repair", but they will not stop. I have great credit; maybe partly due to my reluctance to trust scammers and spammers like Lexington Law Firm with it. Why would anyone trust scammers who try random phone numbers looking for business with something like their credit? This is not a legitimate company. A legitimate company doesn't try to drum up business by spam texting random people.

The girl I was speaking to could not answer my questions. She place my call to another person who did not answer the phone.
The next day I started getting email. I responded back that I had not agreed to use their service and that I never sent an email accepting their service. I said let me think about it. He said for me they would cut the first month's fee in half and if I didn't see any improvement after 30 days then just call Lexington and cancel. I did and they now tell me I owe them for work done. I said really dropping my score why would I pay for that and just like lawyers start sending me legal crap.

This company is the slowest of the slowest. They claim that they would increase your credit score and after specific time, you noticed that what they do, is sent a letter to dispute an account but the debt collector sales the account to another debt collector and they keep you into this game, and your score instead of going up goes down (in my case). But that's not the end of it; they tell you that if it's two persons it will be a discount but when you canceled, they hit your card with two full payments $104.00 each! I won't go to a lawyer because I know they would come out with "you signed'. Of course when you are desperate, you can't read 2,000 pages anyway, NEVER AGAIN!

Lexington Law (& the representative who enrolled me) told me their highest level program was the one best fit for my concerns. My concerns were inquiries. I wanted several inquiries on my report removed because of several dealerships that continued to run my credit without my consent after I had already purchased a vehicle. I was promised that the program offered by Lexington was 'the most aggressive approach in disputing and challenging inquiries on my report.' It was also the most expensive. My second and last concern was a specific collection account that I did not recognize.
The first step I was instructed to take was to complete the 'Case Valet' where you set a focus track and prioritize the accounts you want dealt with first. I did that. 2 Months later the account is still in their queue, I was told they do not assist with the inquiries but provide letters already pre-made for each inquiry. I had several and I sent 1 to every creditor and 1 for each creditor to each Equifax, TU and Experian. It came to my attention this was a mistake, sending too many letters flags all of my letters as frivolous, something I learned the hard way. Lexington failed to mention this very important detail- I sent 92 letters in total, I had to print it myself and pay for the postage. This was my main concern and I had to spend a lot of effort and time and money to do this.
And now it turns out it will hurt my chances to resolve my disputes- Lexington knew what my goals were and just brushed me off to do this task myself without any guidance or mentioning. I should only send a few letters at a time. I also emailed Lexington from the client portal asking for assistance with writing a letter to a creditor, and I never received a response. I called a couple of weeks later to see if they received my email and they did. However, they told me sometimes they don't respond because we could just call and that they could not help because they do only deal with TU Equifax and Experian.
This request was related to disputing something on my credit and they denied my request. I called to cancel my account and requested a refund for the charge they made to my account that very same day. The agent told me that no managers were available and that they would not refund the money they charged me for... Nothing was done about any of my concerns from the beginning. I am just truly disappointed with this terrible experience and would not wish anyone to go through this, I feel scammed and I just wanted to repair my credit, which now I feel will be even more difficult because of Lexington's negligence and lack of customer care.

On June 20, 2017 start with this company to repair my credit, the duration process was 13 months x $99.95 = $ 1299.35 + (14.99 credit report). Where initially had only 5 negative accounts in my credit which is multiplied by 3 credit bureaus. To Erase the easiest, took the first 5 months one from: (AFini for $300) and the other one school account. Then I called on January 17, 2018 to find out and ask why I did not see any progress, they told me they were going to escalate the process and they would send me a letter to notarize it and return it back to them signed which I did immediately. I call again on February 21, 2018 to know how the process going, they told me that they already received the letter and it will be mail to the credit bureaus "that means that if I did not call the letter would still be sitting at the office." Then, a paralegal told me this process took 30 to 90 days, after that I did not call back to let them do their jobs.
In July 2, 2018 I call again after 5 months to express my dissatisfaction of the appalling service explaining my situation, they ask me to verify identification which my phone number was linked to. The process began and during the conversation the call strangely dropped. I waited a whole week for them to call me back. In view of the lack of professionalism the paralegal who attended me showed, I called back again on July 9, 2018 to I express my discontent again about the lousy service and alleging what happened the previous week. I also commented that from November 2017 until today it's been 7 1/2 months and they haven’t done anything. Not even with the bankruptcy that was reported in 2010 and has 8 years in my credit.
The bureaus after 7 years remove negative information, they bring me their arguments that the bankruptcy lasts up to 10 years in the credit and they are sorry for that, and for this month they could give me a credit and they were going to readjust the monthly payment. The next thing they would do was scale to another level again without any extra charge etc. I told them I had to think about it and I would call them again.
On July 20 2018 I called with my answer decided to cancel the service… They put me on hold for about 4 minutes deliberating, when they came back they told me: If you want to cancel then the above offered would not apply and would have a last charge for the final services. "I do not know what service they talked about if they had 13 months charged and they did not solve anything." After all that, they made a charge again for $ 83.29; which I placed a dispute in the bank about that charge 07/27/18.
My experience: 1. It is not a trusted entity, there no honesty telling you how long the process will last or if will take longer than expected, on this case the client can decide whether to continue or not. Keeping them deceived by playing with the time of processing at their conveniences telling you “we must wait for bureaus answer and that lasts from 30 to 90 days," apparently in my case the bureaus were delayed more the time expected.
2. They never call the client to keep them informed of the case. Also, on their email is link to their website with a customer feedback where you have an option to choose if want to be contact regarding your question. I did, never got the callback. Why it is there? 3. You pay for a service and if you are not over calling to remind them to do their job they do not do anything for you. That is my experience that cost me $ 1,299.35 over 13 months to delete only two accounts (5). "With that amount I paid, I could make an arrangement with collection companies and eliminate them myself."
4. The only thing they did was send emails, which is an automated system saying the same thing over and over again. Oh! By the way you should check your email inconsistency because the paralegal always talks about duration process takes from 30 to 90 days and on the email, you send it says “After approximately 30 days there should be a response from (bureaus company)."

My sister and I started 3 months ago with this company, believing that with just 1 negative late 30 day payment, it would take no longer than 30-45 days to remove. Well it's been almost 3 months and nothing has been removed. My sister had 2 old closed out accounts from an old student loan that was over 10 yrs removed, and that's it... If they remove something, it's only 1 credit bureau at a time, it's long and drawn out process... When I know people have done it on their own and gotten responses from creditors in 30 days.
Every time I try to call, they give me some excuse. It's intervening or this or that, they keep changing the status of the acct. So having (1) late payment with CapitalOne after 10 yrs, hoping Lexington Law can remove it, I guess they can't and keep charging me monthly bills. I'm gonna try and call Monday to cancel both accounts, I was also told in the beginning they can remove inquiries... So I went to their site and there is this generic do it yourself letter, I mailed in 10. Got nothing removed... Just do this on your own or go to a private company. Lexington law just wants your money, don't care about your credit. Sadly disappointed. Should have read the reviews first.

Horrible company!! I signed up for my husband and myself and was charged for the credit reports and first month fee which was (129.95 x 2). I then noticed my credit score had dropped 60 points in three weeks so I called and ultimately decided to cancel. I then was charged another (129 x 2) for the first month, which I had already paid. I called about the new charge and they said the other charge was “work fee” and second was “first month” and that I had been misinformed on the recorded phone call. They were unwilling to credit the fee back so I called my bank to dispute the charge.
Interestingly enough my bank said they are constantly dealing with customer disputes regarding Lexington Law and they never hear anything positive about them. How sad a company takes advantage of people who are trying to fix their credit, but it doesn’t even surprise me. Really all they did was take my money and lower my score 60 points. Seriously stay away!!!!

I never signed up for credit repair, but was billed fraudulently by Lexington Law. It appears my credit card number was hijacked to pay for a recurring bill for someone's credit repair. OK - I get that happens, but the reason I'm giving them 1 star is because I have spent MONTHS calling, emailing and talking with Lexington Law to get them to 1) Stop the recurring charges on my credit card (which they finally did) and 2) Credit me for the $117.94 worth of fraudulent charges from March 22 to May 13 2018. I have had a lot of lip service, but STILL NO CREDIT for those fraudulent charges.
What makes it even more frustrating is there is no easy way to get back to the same person for follow-up on this topic. The billing department doesn't seem to have a directory (which I don't believe) and so they can't seem to put me in touch with the same people who have been working my issue. Bottom line - I don't trust them, I don't think they have any integrity and they have STOLEN my money with no line of sight to a credit despite continued assurances from a variety of characters. I'm out of patience!

While I did read a few 5 star reviews, I decided to give Lexington Law a chance, but after 3 months and extremely LONG wait times on calls for a "paralegal", my credit report remained the same for those three months - they guaranteed a change which did not occur. DO NOT FALL PREY TO LEXINGTON LAW like I did. One of the "paralegals" confirmed that they have to challenge an item at least 3 times according to their agreement with the credit bureaus, then they escalate the item. Why do they have agreements with credit bureaus if they are a true law firm seeking to resolve and repair credit independently. This means 60 days X 3 challenge attempts + 30-60 days for escalation = at least a year of paying for a service that does not work. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR SUPPORT THIS CROOKED PRACTICE.

I signed up for Lexington Law firm last year. In October 2017 I received an email saying my bankruptcy was removed from my TransUnion credit report. I was so excited. After about 2 months I checked my credit and guess what. The bankruptcy was still there. I was furious, I cancelled the subscription. They couldn't explain anything to me, kept giving me the runaround. Then they sent me an email stating I have a balance due. Then said they would waive the balance due if I sign back up. Why would you charge me month after I cancelled. That makes no sense. I did not sign back up and before I wrote this review I checked my TransUnion report again just to be sure. I think it's safe to say now that the item was never removed, I mean this is August 2018 and it's still there almost a year later. So I was and am very skeptical of this place just because it's such a common area for scammers (credit repair agencies that is). So far though, they have been pretty decent. I signed up about a month ago after having missed 3 student loan payments and my score dropping 100 points. Went from 720 to 620 overnight... So I looked up this place and thought why the heck not, I'm paying 90 bucks a month or so and it's been a little over a month of service. Today I got an email saying that 3 items had been removed from my Equifax report. I got super happy! I probably could have done this on my own as people have said but I really don't care enough to look into it.
My only complaint is the amount of time it takes. I know they can't work miracles but it does seem as others have pointed out that they kind of milk the time in order to get more money out of the whole process. This makes sense considering if they dropped the items within 1 month then everyone would just cancel right away. But, they'd have way better reviews. That's my only concern. I would even be willing to negotiate a larger sum of money after the items are removed just to speed things up.

I was convinced to purchase the highest level of service by a very nice lady who offered me a considerable discount. Then once the deduction was completed it was for the full $129. This wouldn't be a huge problem if something was actually happening with my credit report. All I have for proof that they are doing anything outside of the normal dispute process which I can do for free is their word which hasn't proven to be very reliable at this point. So unless something happens soon I would say invest your own time instead of your money.

I have used Lexington Law twice now. Once about 5 to 6 years ago, and recently in early 2018. The first time I used them, it was okay. They send out stock letters to creditors from 'you' as after initiating you often get 'return' mail from the creditor questioning further or explaining the entry. These letters, the first time around were marginally successful. They did remove some entries like collections, but never managed a late payment entry or charge-off.
An issue I found the first time around, was also that they don't tell you up front that they deliberately limit the amount of letters they send out each month. They only send three at a time, so if you have 15 bad accounts, it is going to take 5 months before they have tried to remove all of them. They do this so you have to keep paying 100 dollars a month to maintain the service. It is not a scam, but the company is highly disingenuous about what it does. Paying 100 dollars a month for 3 automatically generated letters (which you can do yourself if you have time) is not very honest value. There is absolutely no reason why they could not send all the letters out in one batch, except then you would only use their service for maybe a month or two which doesn't work out well for them. Anyway... first time around, a few years ago, they did in truth remove several collections so I got something out of it.
In 2018, after I had picked up a couple of annoying collection entries, one for a debt I did not owe, and the second for a re-aged debt from over 5 years ago, I decided to turn to them again. I also added in the late payment dings from many years ago, just to see. The result after four months... Absolutely nothing was removed. I had paid for their 'top' service at 130/month but nothing was removed, nobody contacted me to try and strategize etc (forget that. They just send out stock letters automatically) and it was a huge waste of money, so I stopped it.
My advice... Just don't waste your money with these people. I think in fairness part of the problem is that it is an arms race where the creditors have wised up to tactics like these letters Lexington sends out, and has learned how to handle them. E.g for example, sending *you* a return letter asking what exactly you want to dispute or else they will ignore your query. But nevertheless, if you are paying for a service, Lexington Law should provide it, and they just don't. The best way to handle bad credit reports is either to try and find someone else that has more intelligent, honest and current strategies for dealing with creditors, or just go the tried and true way of doing it yourself. Find samples on the internet and send them. If you do that, it is just as good as what Lexington will do, only you won't waste hundreds of dollars like I did, expecting them to do more.

Lexington Law started sending me emails on a daily basis telling me that my credit has been damaged and asking for my Social Security number and other details so they can "help" me. My credit score is 805 so I don't need any help. I can only imagine what would happen if I clicked on a link in one of their bogus emails. I've tried unsubscribing, but that only resulted in more emails. I don't even know how they got my name or address. What a bunch of crooks!

I was watching the news one night and they said to watch out for credit repair companies that charge you a few before they provide you with service. That's Lexington Law to the T. All they did was bring up old creditors that had already been disputed on my Credit reports and took me over 3 years to do. They brought my score down 35 pts! They do not work for the consumer, they work for the slimeball collection agencies. DO NOT USE LEXINGTON LAW. You can dispute your own credit issues yourself. It takes time, but you won't screw yourself over like they do... I canceled them as soon as they overcharged me and would not refund me. I can't believe my husband and I got taken for over $400 and my Credit score is worse. I wish there was a way to sue them for fraud! They are a scam!!

First off you have to pay them in advance via debit or credit card monthly fee. This is illegal. Second they send out disputes as if they are from you and the creditors respond to you personally by phone. Then you have to follow up on them. Lexington Law does get items off your credit report but the creditors put them back on with a more recent date the same day they were taken off. When you get an alert through Lexington Law's dashboard you have to contact them because they do not respond to them. They told me they do everything electronically which is what you can do yourself.
I have 3 huge negative items on my report which are not mine. I asked Lexington Law over a year ago to get them off first. They are still there. I had the 124.00 plan. I was told I could reduce my plan at any time when I called to reduce my plan I was told I couldn't do that. I cancelled immediately and they tried to debit my account for cancellation. Oh my score went up but within a month it was lower than it ever had been.
After I cancelled they sent me a text saying I could go to a less expensive plan now. After about 2 months Credit Pro started calling and texting me. I have never contacted them. And I mean they were calling and texting me very aggressively. I don't know how they got my info but when I got them on the phone and asked them ,"Why are you contacting me and how did you get my phone number" they hung up at once. I don't believe the "paralegals" you talk to are paralegals. When I asked them some basic information on the FCRL their interpretation of the law was complete science fiction. Save yourself time and money and do this yourself online. It isn't rocket science. You will have more success.

Very disappointed. I was with Lexington Law, enrolled in the most expensive package they have available which is 129.00 monthly. I am going over my credit report and I am noticing that very little was done for the amount of money I paid. I was with the company for about 6-8 months and very little was done. I used them about 10 years ago and they did a magnificent job then. Now everything have changed, they worked Credit report by credit report to extend the business with the customer. I just made some changes in my 1 credit report and it reflected on 2. The other one, I have not seen yet. The 3 old accounts I have been having problems, ONLY 3 accounts are still dominating and partying in my credit report. Such a waste of so much money for nothing. I just fixed my profile myself right now which was full of mistake and misleading. I fixed it within days.

If dealing with collections, this service will help you get your score temporarily raised, but the moment you stop paying LL, the collection items come right on back. Not to mention POOR COMMUNICATION. You will get a canned response every time you ask a question and if a real "paralegal" - never the one working your case - gets back to you, it'll be a canned response. Overall, I knocked one $254 charge off for the $100 I spent on them so it wasn't a total waste. Next time I'll listen to the other people's experiences, and just pay the darn collection items.

I canceled my account before the next month and of course they find additional charges to add on. I said I couldn’t pay that at this time. I figured they would send a bill so I could pay when I could. I also took my bank acct info off my account as not to get negative charges. A month plasma few days they charge the additional fee to the bank acct I removed off the account. My Credit did not get any better in fact it went up a few points and then went down a lot. I have no money s d my mother had put some money in that account 140 so I could feed my grandkids that week.
I got a divorce and the ex isn’t paying any of the joint bills and has ruined any credit I had. I emailed Lexington 3 different times and ways the first day of the week after the charge and never got a response. I think this is how they do business. They write letters to creditors for accts you have that are over 10 years old. These don’t count anyways. I am just so upset with myself that the little they did for the over 120 a month did nothing to help me. Then they took the last bit of money I had to feed my family.

Now that I have called to cancel, they are telling me they are charging me again as what they charged me at the beginning was to do the work and that was not the monthly fee. They said the monthly fee is charged after however that is not what they told me when I signed up. I am very disappointed, wasting all this money that I don't even have.

I signed up for services on 6/13/18. My credit card was charged $14.99 for a credit report on June 14. On June 19, I was charged $109.95 for my monthly services. Per the app, letters had been sent to creditors. I never received a copy of any of these letters. On 7/9/18, I cancelled my service because I hadn’t seen where anything had been done. I received an email confirming my cancellation telling me I would be charged additional since services are paid for after they are provided.
I sent an email asking for an explanation since I had already paid my monthly fee. I was told that I would be charged an additional $76.96 for services rendered. I called in and spoke with Amity on 7/11/18. She told me that the services rendered would have been valid had the company actually sent out challenges on my behalf and that they had not so she would see if the additional fee could be waived since it was not a legitimate charge. I was told that the fee would be waived, however I have not receive that confirmation in writing.

I was even told that I would be charged at half the regular amount as I am a disabled Veteran. Less than a week later I was charged $14.99 for a credit report that I never requested. Now today on July 4th I have two charges from Lexington Law on my account. One charge is $54.99 and another is $19.99.
I never authorized this and I am on a very limited income through the VA. This is money that I desperately need right now as I have to be moved out of my current rental home by the 10th of next month. The whole reason that I had even spoken to the rep was to help get into a new place to live. I don't want to have any further business with this company and I want my money refunded asap. This is deceptive business practices which I will also be reporting to the Attorney General's office and the BBB.

I started the account on the 18th of May. Told they would not start work until first month's payment was received on June 1st. So they did and did nothing they did. If anything they were lowering my credit score. I emailed them 3 times over the course of the month asking them to stop. I didn't want service anymore. July 1st they took another payment. When I called they said the payment was for June and could not be refunded. Though June was already paid. They are just out to suck money out and do nothing. If I could I would rate them a negative number.
Updated on 07/18/2018: After my last review they gave me back half of my money trying to make it sound like they did a great thing. They wouldn't have done that if I wouldn't have gone public. On the 4th business day I was billed $129.95 for their "premier" service. I did not agree to this. And when I called to complain I was told that this was what I agreed to, they were "working" on my case, and that there was no supervisor to speak with. This is horrible customer service! On one credit bureau, my score fell nearly 100 points 3 months after they began. This occurred without my doing a thing to these accounts. My advice - do not waste your time and money. They also have a peculiar business model (they don't really represent you, just write letters on your behalf), and they rebill you month after month no matter what. I signed up with Lexington Law Firm to help repair my credit. The reason for my two star rating in due to the 3rd party company that does the intake for Lexington Law. When I signed up I asked specific questions, the fees and obligation to the contract that I am agreeing to. 1st fee $14.99 for the credit report and $109.95 that will be billed to me after the work is done. The representative (Alex) asked me what date is good for me, I provided that information. He advised me that I will receive emails and text relating to my contract. I received the information as he stated, I waited a couple of days and contacted Lexington to ask a few questions.
First I tried the online chat, that wasn't good due to the wait time, so I called in. I spoke to Scott, my first question was to verify when the $109.95 will be deducted, unfortunately it was inputted in the system for the wrong date. Scott corrected that for me, thank God I called. Also the 3rd party rep. did not advised me that there were late fees in the event that I am late ($19.95), and that the contract would be ongoing until I cancel. What he advised me was the contract would be month to month until I cancel, which that could be at anytime that I chose to. I asked Scott to go over the terms of the contract with me and leave nothing out, which he did. Now I have a better idea what to expect and what I signed up for.
I advised Scott that I have no problem paying for the services, I just needed the correct information. With that being said I am going to see how this works for me, and if not cancel within the appropriate time frame to avoid being billed for any services rendered. I advised Scott that Lexington needs to ensure that the 3rd party company that they hire for client in-take provides the correct information to prospective clients. I explained that the misinformation given is a BAD! reflection on Lexington. I explained to him that clients or prospective clients like myself are seeking assistance to better their credit and getting the correct information is vital. Well Scott advised me that he will be forwarding this information to his management team, I do hope he does. I advised him that all their calls are recorded for quality assurance, so this needs to be rectified. I will write another review, hopefully it will be better than this one.

My husband filled out this rent-to-own site and he immediately got a call from Lexington Law Firm, long story short... The rep signed each of us up to repair our credit and was told if we weren't satisfied, to go on their website to cancel. That easy. Turns out it wasn't easy and I called them to cancel because I'm having financial difficulties at the moment, before they automatically deducted the first payment. I only had their service for 12 days.
I talked to Adam and told him I needed to cancel. He first tells me if I cancel now, I'm still going to be charged $64.95. Or I can be put on their $8.95 monthly report watch and when I'm ready, I can call them and continue with their full discounted $64.95 service instead of paying the non discounted price of $124.95. I agreed to the Report Watch so he put me on hold to go get approval from his supervisor. He came back on the phone and told me it wasn't approved. So why recommend me that option? And why tell me it was easy to cancel on your website when it wasn't? Now they're charging me for 12 days of being with them so I'm not getting my money's worth. Not happy at all. Definitely a scam.

So now I have severe problems to fix especially since I was planning to move! I am angry. This is a nightmare. My phone rings all day now! My advice, #1 - Don’t use Lexington, is expensive and created this huge problem in less than a month. #2 - Now I have to contact credit agencies regardless and try to fix this problem. #3 - If you have multiple birth children make sure they have different initials when naming them. #4 - Get children’s social security numbers on different days. #5 Do not use Lexington Law.
They did not accept responsibility. Nor did they offer to resolve this issue but admit they worked on my credit reports. Agent spoke very slick to me on phone today also. Credit score increased by 4 (four) points. Another reason they were not worth using. Extra 4 points is not worth this nightmare that I must fix. Who and why would Lexington put my personal information on her credit reports? Employees at Lexington and Credit Bureaus too lacking to compare ALL NINE DIGITS? I’M ANGRY. THIS IS AN UNNECESSARY NIGHTMARE.

You have to be patient. Let them work. It will come off in due time. They have worked very timely for me and I can see the results.

Professional and knowledgeable lawyers, doing their job fast and efficiently. In a month they were able to remove unfairly posted collections and charge from my credit history. The firm has informed me every other day how the procedure was going. Honest, knowledgeable and reliable firm. Highly recommended.

I can confirm what the other reviewers are saying. You'll be lucky if you get more than a few removals. This place is a total fraud. They send out boiler plate "intervention" letters you can download yourself. Nothing they do has their name on it, only yours. The process is simply to send boiler plate letters for you and do electronic disputes. They have an agreement setup so they can dispute more often than you can. It really doesn't make much difference however. I doubt this is really a law firm. The paralegals (if you can get a hold of one) are totally unprofessional and have to constantly ask their supervisor for help. In addition, you have to really push them hard to do any work or give you a status on anything. They also take credit for removals I have done myself. Stay away, it's a scam taking advantage of the desperate. Sorry.

So, I was skeptical of the service, but I did need help with my credit. I signed up and let them go to work. The Good: They truly do the work they say they will do. They got more than 8 items removed from my credit in 2 months. The Bad: It's expensive for what they truly do for you. They send letters to your creditors and the reporting agencies. That's it. IF the letters get a positive response, great! If not, too bad. Not much else to the process. Further, the letters they send are the same boilerplate letters you can get a sample of from the internet.
How do I know? because when one of their letters was RTS'ed back to my address I read it. It was verbatim from a sample I had previously downloaded myself. I could have done all the work they did, and considering the expense the hassle that comes with canceling when you can't swing the payment anymore. But, if you just don't think you can do the letters and want someone else to do the work and that's worth $130 a month (Plus the first payment is to set up the work, they bill you again for the first month - they don't tell you that up front), then go for it. It's expensive, but they do the work.

So like most everyone who has used the services of Lexington Law, I have credit issues and called to see if I could get some help in restoring my credit. The person I first talked to was very helpful and filled me with a sense of hope. I paid the initial 14 and change and set up my initial 100 or so to be debited 5 days from that point. Unfortunately I had a bill that I had to pay that came up last minute. I could not afford their service and so I called them back 2 days before my payment was suppose to be taken out. I got another helpful person and told them that I wanted to cancel and they tried to offer me a less expensive option. I told her, "No thank you" and that I would still like to cancel.
She then said she could simply move back the payment date for me. So I opted for this option. Before the call ended she doubled checked and saw that the payment was already processing even though it wasn't to come out for another 48 hours. So she then said that they would simply let the payment post... refund me and then take the payment at the agreed upon date. I called back after the payment had posted and they now told me that they could not refund my account because there were no errors with the transaction.
That employee who promised me should have known that but I feel just wanted to get me to wait until the payment had gone through. Every interaction I had with them became shadier and shadier. I then canceled my service and I did not get a refund because they had already sent 3 very generic letters that I could have easily done myself for under 3 dollars. They offer so much and have delivered very little for me. I would not reccomend their services to anyone. They are a terrible company. Boo!

I started Lex about 2 months ago in hopes to get some of my collections off my credit report. I had tried disputes myself (and got a few off) and figured that it would be helpful to have this company try their methods in achieving deletions quicker. However I found that this service is basically sending out the same disputes you can do yourself online, not really anything different. I'm giving them 2 stars only because for me this service didn't work at all and if anything it agitated the collections and now I have them filing judgments. They also tried to claim that the "removed items" that did appear were because of them and in fact they were because I paid for them to be off and nothing to do with their disputes.
However, the customer service was excellent. They were helpful in answering questions and very pleasant to deal with hence my extra star. They have a well rehearsed pitch in sucking you into believing that you'll achieve great results. I had high hopes that this would benefit me but in the end not worth the hundreds of dollars you'll end up paying. My opinion would be to not use them and dispute items yourself. I also believe that credit card companies and collection agencies have smartened up on their records, etc. and have caught on to companies such as these, and have made it harder to get items deleted. Times have changed and credit agencies are not budgeting as much as they used too. Portfolio Recovery being a top one. Also note that when you cancel they will charge you an additional month's fee (or prorate your current month) on your next billing day. I don't remember that being told to me but not worth the fight.

Then when I confronted her about it she interrupts me and says, "Oh I did listen to the call" and then she hangs up. Don't waste your hard earned money as this company will take it from you.

I started out having a credit line show up twice on my credit report (US Bank's reporting issue), and a false foreclosure listed on my credit report, along with some debts. Went with Lexington Law to help repair my credit as they had the highest of reviews. After being with them for 2 months, they knocked an easy hitter off each bureau, so thought it, “Hey, I'll continue on and let them keep knocking things off.” It's been 8 months now, over a thousand dollars later, and not a single result since. The easy duplicated credit line is still there, along with a foreclosure that didn't happen (I can go to the county website, see the sale history of the house without a foreclosure listed...should be an easy one to remove).
Honestly don't know if I'd trust any credit repair company, as I feel they all would perform the same. Was hoping I could spend a thousand and have a company just take care of some things for me, as time is money. Unfortunately I was wrong, and now I'll most likely have to spend the time myself digging in to get these items knocked off. Waste of time and money. Any climb in my credit report wasn't due to them, but due to a few secured credit cards I've been building good history with, and a credit repair loan to do the same.

Called a loan company. Said I was guaranteed a loan just needed to verify info. Next thing said they were Lexington and I needed to clean up some things first. Paid $14.99 for credit report and signed permission for them to get report. Then received email to get and send them my other two reports. Thought I paid for them. Then find out they took $129.99 from my bank. When I called they were very rude. Said I signed for their service, I asked when. I only signed for the $14.99 and that I expected my money back. The woman started yelling over me saying, "No. No refund." And hung up.

I called Lexington Law in hopes of repairing my credit and I was promised 50% discount ($65 instead of $129) on their premier package and I agreed to this and started the process. I was charged $14 instantly which was on top of the monthly fee, after 1 week I was again charged the full $129 which really upset me and when I call back I was put on hold forever exceeding 30mins and I couldn't wait for so long and I disconnected the call. I tried emailing their customer service but no answers, who has so much free time in today's busy world. This again is very bad experience when you pay them so much money and they have such bad customer service. Finally 3rd time I called again when I had a day off from work and this time they answered the phone after exactly 45 mins and the agent told me there was no such note on my account and that I have to to pay the full amount for their service.
When I told them that when I signed up I was promised of 50% discount because I can't afford so much money when there are other companies who will do a good job for much less money. But I was denied of any such discounts and they didn't give me any discounts or refunds, I'm currently trying to do a chargeback through my bank for this charge. When you or they call you for the 1st time they will do anything to sign you up for the program and after that treat you like **, no courtesy and I didn't see any results in one month.
All they said they did was send a couple of letters to credit bureaus and that's it, nothing changed in my credit. You could do a better job yourself if you can spend some extra time or find any other reputable company to do the job. This is my honest review for this company and I highly discourage you guys to do business with such scums. Thanks for reading my review... PS This is the 1st time I have take out to write a review about any business because I felt so strongly about it and let other people know so you guys don't fall into the same trap as I did.

Do not sign up with Lexington. They will tell you there are no hidden fees and you may cancel anytime. Do not believe them. They will take your money and do absolutely nothing for you. They send generic letters that will not help then charge you over $100 to cancel for "services rendered" that you already paid for. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere or do it yourself. My brother used Credit Karma for free and has had 4 removals the last two months. I used Lexington and have had 0 over the same amount of time. And I paid an initial $15 then $129.99 on Jan 17th and Feb 17th. Tried to cancel today and they said I will be charged $111 for work they already did even though I paid them 2 months already and am cancelling before March 17th. Bunch of scam artist here!

I've signed up for a service to take care of 1 error on 2 credit reports (Transunion & Equifax); however, no one responded to an email I sent nor are any of the contact phone numbers for Lexington Law working - it rings and then the call is disconnected. I've tried 3 different numbers to no avail. How do I get in contact with this firm that's taking a monthly fee for a service they may or may not be providing? I have no transparency into the steps being taken to resolve. Additionally, Equifax took a proactive approach by removing the error and Lex Law disputed with them anyway and now that error is back on my Credit Report.

So I initially signed up for Lexington Law to fix an old collection. I ended adding my wife onto the account and was told the fee would be discounted as we are both a couple. I had other priorities new baby, moving, etc. I spoke to a rep who was courteous enough to allow me cancel after trying to scale me down to a cheaper version. I canceled my services with them and closed the account and was told I had an invoice of $88 for services rendered. I agreed and bid them goodbye. However 2 weeks later I checked my account and noticed they had charged my account for $129 +19.95 Processing fee. I was later advised that the amount was for services rendered for my wife who was on my account that I closed.
When I was canceling my services I was not told about anything else. By essentially me closing my account I thought that this was the end of it. Apparently not. I called to question them on this and got a rude representative who would constantly speak over me and after asking to speak to a supervisor twice she said her supervisor was too busy as she was helping "another client". The whole call took about an hour of the representative talking over me and telling me what she's gonna do and how it was my responsibility to make sure my card does not get charged for another person's account and would not take my viewpoint into consideration. Very horrible experience on my end. To think I was gonna continue services with them. Very inconsiderate.

I signed up when she told me it was only a few dollars to get everything set up and started. 11 days later I cancel the services because I found free credit help that actually listened to my wants and needs and didn't just tell me how good they are at resolving credit issues. Now I'm out $110 because I waited too long to cancel. You only have 5 days to cancel. They don't start doing anything until 5 days into it. Yes this service works for some but be aware that they are going to take their time. That's why you pay monthly. You are paying a lot of money to have letters mailed on your behalf. THIS IS NOT YOUR ONLY OPTION AND THIS IS NOT YOUR BEST OPTION.

She was very rude and arguing back and forth with me on the phone. I will never do business with Lexington Law again. Her attitude showed me they have very unprofessional people working for them. Don't waste your time calling or signing up with Lexington Law. Their entire paralegal staff is incompetent and frankly have no clue what they are doing. I had to called several times a month to manage their staff on how to handle my case. Furthermore, the items I requested to be marked priority on more than 6 occasions were never handled. They then sent me letters for someone else's case file; a completely different name, last 4 of social, and account I don't even own that wasn't on my credit report.
Each time I called the party gave inaccurate information. This was a complete waste of time. They claim to have a relationship with the credit bureaus, yet, they have to escalate each case, as their initial generic letters do nothing. This is their way to keep you involved in monthly payments, by slow playing the service. In my second month they failed to send any letters, and when I demanded a refund, they would only give me 1/2 of my money back. These people are crooks. Find a reputable local attorney who can assist you in credit repair. The cost will be slightly higher, but the results will be permanent and greater than these doofuses at Lexington Law.

Lexington Law is full service, they work directly on your behalf to resolve issues in your credit report. They have a chat team of paralegals who are always readily available to answer my questions and advise me when those inevitable questions come up. It is well worth the money and time, I consider it an actual investment since in a short amount of time they have done so much to repair our credit as well as being readily available with knowledge and advice that is valuable. They also give you such a comprehensive and user friendly dashboard so that you can really understand what’s going on and how everything is affecting your credit at any given time.

I started Lexington Law in Nov of 2017. It is now Feb 2018 and I have watched them remove many negative accounts off of my credit as well as improve my score a WHOLE 105 points in 3 months!!! I pay $109 a month and while I can’t afford extra spending, I can’t afford to not work on my credit. This has been the best return on investment outside of getting my degree. I pay $109 and they remove thousands off of my credit a month, you really can’t beat this. Also when I first signed up, I wouldn’t be getting paid for almost a whole month. Not only did Lexington work with me, they started my credit repair before I even made my first payment l, and they took it out on the very day that we agreed to. I have no complaints! I’m excited about what this is bringing to my future because I plan on buying a house soon. THANK YOU LEXINGTON! I HIGHLY recommend them.

In fact all the gains I made ended up losing 70+ points as I started to use them. I contacted the vendors and was able to resolve the issue myself and gained back over a 100 points. I didn't see any updates in Lexington application. I was getting reporting via a free service telling me about my updates. I then canceled before my billing and had a zero balance. They charged me a prorated fee when I canceled. So moral of the story sometimes it easier to call your creditor and do your own negotiating.

I talked with them on the phone and said (texted as I was told) yes to a couple of things. It sounded reasonable. Then towards the end, I told them that I could not afford it and I was sorry for wasting their time. They took money out of my acct for the credit report! I thought, "Really, I told them no!" The next week I got an email saying that when they tried to draft money out of my acct that the funds were unavailable. So... I called them today and they informed me that I had accepted the agreement. This AGREEMENT was by texting yes to a couple of things until I realized that I could not afford it.
After all this they were going to have to review the phone call, which could take a while or I could just pay them 50% of the payment!!! I explained several times that I had told them no. The company they are partnered with to help me find a place to rent to own hasn't even responded to me in the 5 months, although they said things would start moving along after the 2nd payment was made. Both of these companies are scheming together and it is very sad that they are preying on the people trying to get their things in order.
The woman I spoke with tried to talk over my head as if I misunderstood, but that isn't the case. She also told me that she was sorry I was misinformed and when I tried to explain to her how that is wasn't my fault, she told me she was disconnecting the call "because this is unnecessary." I think this is a scam, however it has the potential with a new business model to do exactly what you claim to accomplish. Take the robots off the phone and approach each case with ALL the legal possibilities. I was with your firm for over a year and if the legal options did not fit in the script they were unable to do anything except say “you have to be persistent” was the suggested solution, although I was doing their job and researching and suggesting legal alternatives while I paid money every month that I could not afford as a single mom. I found this to be true in over 100 conversations with your firm.
Yes, there were removals from my credit file, however it had NOTHING to do with your technique: you send letter, no response documentation for debt (because creditors did have docs to provide, therefore they couldn’t provide it), while credit reporting agencies reported “debt verified” either w/ no verification or a simple “yep...this debt is correct" from people reporting the debt. Regarding the specific credit line removals: 3 removals were court house judgements that new legislation removed, another removal was a medical reporting that did not meet Consumer Credit laws, the third type of removal was simply due to the accounts “aging” off the credit reports. The rest of the reported removals from DOE were “reported” by you to be removed and reposted to my reports within hours, although your firm reported as a removal. That is lying in my opinion.
The only thing I accomplished by hiring your firm is for DOE to report partial info on a couple of credit reports to DOE reporting all 6 loans 18 times on all reports. Oh, let’s not forget about the irritation caused them (with no results) to pursue me again after 6 years, including taking my VERY large tax refund, garnishing my checking account, and starting a new collection company process. I am sure this is only the beginning of a new nightmare thanks to hiring your company that was not equipped to do the job you advertised. FYI: $89 or month is not the cheapest package. One credit bureau at a time is $24.95 a month....since they drag their feet sending out dispute letters because it can take “6-8 weeks for a response” (of yep that’s correct from creditor) they say they have to wait to sent out new discrepancies letters so it ends up they only work on one a time anyway.

Their first concern is to get your bank card number. Their 2nd concern was to not tell me what they were supposed to do. I have spoken with 4 different reps with lots of background boiler room charter. The bottom line is if you owe money you owe money, no magic solutions. Paying for premium service is a faster avenue to the same place. The basic package is much, much cheaper but much, much slower. It will work out to the same price eventually. The only difference is time.
