I hired Lexington Law to remove 1 bogus collection that was still being reported on 1 of the reporting agencies from 7 years ago. Because the Collection Agency had repeatedly updated the date of the collection to make it appear new, I was advised (by an Agent of LL) this would be a simple case and would be easily handled at an estimated cost of $109. 6 months and over $659 later, I had to resolve the matter personally to close this issue.
They do next to nothing for the money and seemingly purposefully drag these things out as long as YOU will tolerate. In my opinion, (certainly in this case), when it comes to simpler, low value items on your credit report - better to contact the offending party directly to resolve the issue. Lexington Law has a perverse incentive NOT to resolve these claims in a timely manner.

It started off slow, thought that nothing was being done and they just wanted my money. I was so aggravated that I called and a lady answered and I was yelling and cussing because I felt nothing was being done and didn't know how to look up items or even sign in, this lady stayed calm and professional. She completely changed my outlook on them. She took the time and helped and explained the site to me, every bit of it. And made sure that I knew where to look next time. I'm sure Lexington Law has others like her in the company, but I only got to experience her. Thank you and I would recommend Lexington Law. They helped remove some negative items from my reports. Just be patient, it does take time.

Lexington Law seemingly become the problem with credit repair, not the solution. They charge you a monthly fee, and several month later will continue charging despite no results after months. I had one item on my credit report, a debt that was paid in full, and every month I called them they promised a big plan of action, but would never tell me when.

Buyer beware....I have two items on my consumer reports. I hired Lexington Law firm because I really did not want to deal with it and I am way too busy. I would rather have someone else deal with it. On two separate calls I spoke with "paralegal's" who told me that they were sending "Escalation Notarized letters". I never received one letter by mail or email. I called and spoke with another "paralegal". This guy argued with me, telling me... "We've done our part... it's not our fault that you have not received the letters or can't figure this out. I manage 27 IT professionals and I am an engineer. I am confident I can I could figure this out, if I was doing something wrong. I hung up and called back. I received an email telling me that my account was cancelled. All I wanted was competent help.

I had a lot of negative marks on my credit, they helped me get them removed, tracked down. Explained to me how to rebuild and why I needed a credit card. Why I should buy things on payments. I always paid cash or paid things off asap so I wouldn't have bills. It show that yes my debt ratio was great but I never did anything except had no medical insurance at one point in my younger days. Ouch don't do that. Life is hectic and things happen. Automatic withdraw works wonders for those of us who can be a bit forgetful. Not intentional, But once again without being harsh they taught me how to space out those payments so they are manageable and PAID with NO LATE FEE and NO NEG marks on credit reports....

When I first signed up I said I was going to give them three months to see how they can help me get some items off my credit. They did in the three months timeframe get a handful of items removed. It became a problem when I noticed instead of sending out disputing letters they try to stretch those letters over several months to make you continue to pay for their service and use them versus trying to get several items knocked off your credit each month. They would send one bureau the letter and then the following month send the other bureau the same letter for the same item being disputed. Then when I decided I wanted to cancel not wanting a refund just wanting to cancel they told me I owe another $104.00 even though they have not billed me for the new month for another six days.
They tried to say it’s for services rendered already in which I didn’t sign up until the first of the month but then on your main Page when you login it says that your account has been canceled but you still have use for another month. Their business practices Are not ethical when canceling your case with them. I would not recommend to use them.

Short version: Their sales team mislead me twice, their paralegal mislead or lied to me, their communication (internal and external) is absolutely horrible, they will not answer direct questions, they don't know the status of the items they are supposedly fixing, and in 9+ months they have only managed to clear 6 of 7 related items (same creditor, same fraudulent account issues).
Their sales team mislead me twice:
(1) When I contacted them in June of 2020, I told them I had seven collection items on my Equifax report that I did not think were mine. The salesperson told me I could sign up for their lowest tier, which handled one credit bureau at a time, since only Equifax was involved. Great, right? Wrong. One credit bureau at a time means they handle Equifax one month, Experian the next, etc. Since I didn't need action on Experian or Transunion, they planned to charge me for those two months, while only doing work every third month on the Equifax report. To be fair, when I called them on that, they did give me a refund and small credit. But they will mislead you to put you in the tier that will spin the process out the longest and cost you the most money.
(2) When I signed up for the next tier thinking maybe that was a mistake (I don't believe it was now, given how everything else went), I said something about handling everything in two batches based on the number of items there were. The salesperson that time did not contradict me. However, what actually happened was they handled 4 items and then instead of handling all 3 remaining items in a second batch, suddenly only started handling 1 at a time. I was told they would only handle up to 30% of the items on my report, and since there were only three items left... that meant they planned to just handled one item at a time.
This was never disclosed to me when I signed up and it was not what they had done before (they handled over half the items in the first batch). Again, it seems like they suddenly changed up the process to ensure it would drag on as long as possible, even though all remaining items were related and logically should have been dealt with together.
Their paralegal mislead or lied to me:
When I called for a status update (which you must do frequently, as their dashboard is useless and their proactive communication nearly non-existent) and asked why action was not being taken on my 3 remaining items, she told me she would send them out immediately, making it sound like all 3 would be handled at once. It turns out she apparently only took action on 1 item, and then later that month action was taken on 2, while another team was telling me they only handled 30% (so 1 item in my case)... You see the problem here? They can't even get their stories straight on how many items they should be handling or were actually handled. I still don't know what action they took on which items, so I'm not sure if they outright lied to me about status or just mislead me/communicated badly.
Their communication is horrible:
Their dashboard has minimal information. You must call them to get status (which... see above). Half their communication is form letters, demanding vague things like "send us supporting documentation" while not saying what that supporting documentation should be. Since you don't know where in the process things are, you have no idea what they want or need. And when you call, the escalation department apparently don't note what they are looking for, because the paralegals don't know what is needed, either. So you just have to guess at what they need and hope it's right. Plus, you can't see what you uploaded, so make sure you are tracking every single thing you do or upload to them, because once you send it to them, it disappears into a black hole.
They will not answer direct questions:
I have lost track of the number of direct questions they did not answer, but they included things like asking what specific documentation they wanted, how to send something given some concerns in the delivery methods they had listed, and what the status was/what actions were being taken on items. If you call/email/message them in enough different ways, you might get answers. They might be conflicting answers, but you might get some.
They don't know the status of the items they are fixing:
To be fair, 6 of the 7 items have been resolved. However, Lexington Law thinks I still have 3 outstanding items, even though 2 of the items dropped off my credit report in late January or early February. So I'm not sure what they charged me for in February and March, but it apparently wasn't to take action on the 1 remaining credit item or even to update my account sufficiently to know 2 of the items had been removed.
Their process time:
It took them 6 months to even get proof of debt of these items. It's taken them 9+ months and there is still 1 item they haven't handled. Keep in mind all 7 of these items were from the same company/credit collection agency, with the same fraudulent issue behind them. But they will treat every item on your report like it's a brand new thing they have never seen before, instead of doing analysis to determine what might be related/should be handled together. As with everything else they do, this seems custom-designed to draw the process out for as long as absolutely possible.
They get 2 stars for actually getting some items removed, even if they don't know they did it. Everything else, they get zero stars. I bet I would have been just as far along, with less frustration, if I had dealt directly with the credit bureaus and collection agency. At least I expect creditors to be difficult to deal with, and I wouldn't have been paying them for the added frustration they caused in the entire process.

I found myself a customer of Lexington Law through a SCAM. I found a Rent To Own company (Housing Solutions Pro/**) that was offering to help folks get into a house even though they had bad credit or not enough down payment. The deal is you rent while you fix your credit and when your credit is repaired you can buy your home!! Housing Solutions Pro (HSP) directed us to Lexington Law. They needed us to sign up for at least one month of service with not just any credit repair service but specifically Lexington Law to show we were serious about buying a home at which point we could start looking at houses. HSP asked us to provide them with a receipt that we paid Lexington Law before we could proceed. Now that we have paid Lexington Law, HSP will no longer answer our phone calls. Lexington Law is partnering with some shady scammers to funnel people who potentially need help with their credit to buy services from Lexington Law.

Scam. Scam!! I submitted ALL documentation needed for this law firm to help improve my credit score. I joined the law firm in 2020, and paid $129.95/mo, February of 2021 my score is still the same. So just to be clear, I paid my monthly prescription, every month, for a service that was never rendered, which was credit repair. I understand that credit repair takes time, which is why I patiently paid for the service(s). Eventually I noticed through the updates to my case that the removals of items that Lexington Law said they took care of, never impacted my credit score. I would call to speak with different paralegals, all of them saying remain patient. One paralegal asked me to resend a document that other paralegals said was being taken care of, and processed.
While paying for a service with this law firm, I never spoke with any attorney, even after I made my concerns known. I will be reporting this company to the BBB, as the paralegals are promising a service never rendered, and taking advantage of people and their hard earned money. Please save your money, and learn from my ignorance, and not invest in this fraudulent company!! Read the reviews, it’s not just me, but multiple people reporting the same behavior!

This company at one time was very professional and honest. I used them from 2014 -2106, which they help clear up my negative credit. This help me purchase my home. At that time I recommended this company to many clients and family. I recently in June of 2020 decided to use their service again. Needed it after having surgeries for Military injuries. I was down for two years recovering.
When I called to sign up for myself. The sales person told me that the fee for the service is discounted down from $119 to $89 per month due to Covid19. And that would be my payment until I stop. I agreed and sign up. However at the end of the conversation the Rep ask me did I have anyone in the family, that could use their services. I said maybe my wife. She has great credit. Her problem is debt to income. The sales person told me that Lexington law firm is running a promotion. Which was $119 for two. And the price is set for as long as we need them. The sales representative lied to get a sale. Bad business! I thought that was a no brainier and took the deal.
Later we noticed on our bank statements that Lexington was double charging us. $119 twice a month $119 each. I called the law firm at least 10x or more. I sent several emails about this situation and never got one response in over 3 months. I sent personal emails and sent them in my client profile. I spoken with several customer service representatives and managers. I was told that they would pull the inbound phone call and review and get back with me. This I have also been waiting for a call back for over 3 months and it also never happen.
This company bill my account $500 within 3 months. And they they refuse to refund my account. However they are asking me to pay the. Extra money for ending service after I had cancel services with them. But they still asking for money. I wouldn't recommend Lexington law firm to anyone. I am in the car business and sent many customers that need their credit repaired when the banks turn them down on financing. I would also send them customer of clients that purchase.. This company use to be great. Don't know what happen.

I was paying $129/month to Lexington Law for credit repair. Their paralegals talk a good game on the phone, but they didn't actually do much at all between the monthly calls I had with them. One time, I uploaded a bunch of documents for them, and they didn't even know it until I called in two weeks later asking why they hadn't acknowledged that I had uploaded the documents. The woman said, "That happens when you use the upload page on the website" and suggested I don't use it anymore. They sent letters to the wrong addresses on multiple occasions.
After 5 months, only one item out of 14 derogatory items had been removed, and that's because I personally spoke with that collection agency to clear up an error. There's a BIG disconnect between what these company purports to do and what they actually follow through with. I told them I was unhappy with the level of service (or lack of) and one paralegal suggested that maybe I wasn't advising them to take the correct course of action with each challenge -- that somehow the lack of results was my fault. That's what I was paying them to do -- they're the experts, not me. That really pissed me off.

But I was receiving emails saying only 3 letters got sent out. From June to November only 5 things came off of my credit. My score has only went up about 10 points. If the 8 letters we’re getting sent out like explained to me it would of been a better chance more things would of came off my credit. I wasted my money with them. After I complained about the 8 letters they didn’t even offer a discount or anything.

They don't even deserve the 1 star if I'm honest. On the surface they really do look official and like they know what they're doing but after 7+ months of working with them, I can tell you that these people are liars and frauds who drag you on for months to suck your dry while acting like they're helping you. I started working with them at the end of April. My score was at 647 (per the report they pulled) and 658 (per my Experian monitoring service). For months prior to this my score had been steadily rising, I came to them desperate to help me improve my score and get some old negatives off so I could finally meet SBA requirements to obtain a loan for my business.
About two weeks after they sent their "challenge" letters out, I got a notification from my Experian credit monitoring service that my score dropped 83 points to 575 (from 658). Nothing has changed at all, not credit utilization, no inquires or new negatives. The only new thing that happened was that Lexington Law "sent out letters on my behalf" (none of which I'm allowed to see to this very day despite the fact that they promised to send me AND lied saying they DID email me all the letters they've sent out, LIARS AND FRAUDS!).
I immediately contacted Lexington to ask about what is going on. They said, "Well, with the plan that you have, we won't be able to pull another report for another 60+ days." I told them I'm happy to provide my Experian report for them to review to prove that nothing new is happening from my end. They said they would have to pull their own to see. So I called my bank for which Lexington issued the challenge letters. My bank said they did receive the dispute letters and they did update the bureaus (I had two charged off credit cards from years ago with this bank) but the bank said the update shouldn't lower my score since the accounts were charged off and closed years ago, those reports back then can only negatively impact you once.
I then called Experian to find out what was going on. They told me they would investigate it but that it had something to do with the two charged off accounts. I contacted Lexington to request copies of the letters they "sent out on my behalf" and to this day they've promised to send them to me and then lied about sending them to me and I have yet to receive them 7 months later. After months of NOTHING but a lowered credit score Lexington advised me to upgrade to their Premier Plus service level. Claiming that this way I'll be able to get reports pulled more often and my negatives would be challenged with better letters. No problem for me, I was happy to do it if it meant I would finally see some action. This dragged on for another 3 months with ZERO results and more lies.
In all after 7+ months of this hell, I finally canceled my membership. Not only did they lie to me about helping me remove negatives, not only did they not do even one of my total 12 or so, but whatever it is they wrote in those "challenge" letters actually left me with a score of at least 50 points lower than when I started working with them and if I hadn't worked on doing things outside of them to help increase my score, hell knows where I would have been today. I guess this is how they keep you on for months and I've heard some people for years and even over 10 years in a couple cases.
They bring you on and then drag on and on with their lies, lower your credit score so you stick with them for even longer to fix that now. I get that it's a business and they're trying to make bank but screwing people over to turn around and pretend to be their savior, it's, SICK, it's despicable and it's inhumane! Save your time (most importantly), save your money, learn how to properly do it yourself or try someone else. STAY AWAY FROM THESE LIARS AND FRAUDS. THEY SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED FOR RACKETEERING AND FRAUD!

I would absolutely in NO way recommend Lexington Law. I only had 7 items on all three of my credit reports. I had two misses payments about a year apart from a finance company both this were when I had surgery and was out of town. There was one error on only one of my credit reports, it took Lexington Law several months but they did get one late payment resolved off three of the credit companies and the error... I call and talk to these people but all I get is excuses and no action. I was originally told that I could downgrade to the 25.00 per month once the initial month was over. Then I was told I need to keep it to make sure the issues were resolved...
After a few months, I again questioned and was told I could drop down to the 80 some dollar amount, After pushing them I got the 25 some dollar a month fee. When asking then who this was taking so long again all I got was excuses. But they will talk to the lawyers and see if they will do their more aggressive approach. My response was why in the heck did they not do that in the first place... These people are like all the others, they only want your money and will bleed it out as long as possible to suck every last dime out of a client as possible...

Lexington Law (aka Lexington Fraud) is a unaccredited business that claims to help you fix your credit. They will quote you a price over the phone, then charge you significantly more than what you agreed to. For example, they told me because I was a new customer that I could get a discount, so they charged me around $55. Then the next month it was well over $129. (I was told by the representative I would be charged the same fee monthly of $55.) I noticed my credit score hadn't changed in a few months, so I decided to discontinue their services. When I called them, they said I owed them almost $200 and I could start a "payment plan to resume my services)."
How? I missed one payment because I decided to fix my credit on my own, since these paralegals (not attorneys, they go to a few classes and then get a certificate, thus they're not well versed on the law) didn't do anything to increase my credit score after making several payments. I refused to pay their outrageous late fees.
You can fix your own credit for FREE by following these simple and effective steps:
1) Make an account with each credit bureau and challenge the hard inquiries that you either don't recognize or are unauthorized.2) Open up a secured credit card. It works wonders! My credit score has increased over 100 points in just 5 months (MAKE YOUR PAYMENTS ON TIME!) THAT'S KEY.
3) Call each creditor and set up a payment plan.
It will take some times, but it will eventually work out. And your credit will be restored in 6-12 months. Good Luck!

This was my second time looking at Lexington Law to repair my credit. Several years ago I used their service and was quite happy. They helped to restore my credit to 800 status. In fact, I started referring to my family and friends to use them. Fast forward to today. I thought if they performed liked that the last time, I am sure I will be happy again. A while ago I had co-signed for my 2 daughters, and unfortunately, since they weren't paying my credit was destroyed. So, I figured that Lexington would perform a miracle again. I signed up this past February. A month later, they were able to get 2 negative remarks removed. I thought, okay that is great! It appears that they can still perform miracles.
But, then every month afterward, nothing. They were supposedly sending letters, but nothing was happening. To me when you keep sending the same letters with no results, then you need to change what you are doing. I blame myself for not canceling sooner when I saw that no additional positive results were happening in the months thereafter. So when I called to cancel, the person helping me talked me into giving them another chance. They even prorated 2 months for half the cost. If Lexington just keeps sending letters and nothing more, then of course the creditors will begin to know that the letters are just smoking mirrors and nothing else. I truly feel as though their service has gone downhill.
I called and canceled several days ago. Checking my bank account days later, I noticed on the same day I canceled they charged me a fee. Looking at others reviews, they are accurate when they say that they will charge you a "final" payment for whatever they see fit because they did it to me. I honestly feel as though they DON'T actively work on your account, and want us to believe that so that they can feel justified in charging us what they do. But those who fraudulently bill people so they can live lavishly will have to answer to God one day. They (whoever is responsible) may feel as though they are in heaven living a plush life from the money earned off the backs of people who are working hard. But it won't be worth it to spend eternity in hell. And I can guarantee it won't be so lavish down there. Eventually, when I have seen that still, nothing was happening I was pretty much done.
All those people that I referred to Lexington Law will now be told to go elsewhere. Like countless people have stated in their reviews, you can work and restore your credit yourself. It will take time, effort, and patience, but it's something that can be done. I am just going to try and work and fix it myself. I feel duped, but I won't be using their services again no matter what.

I was a customer of Lexington Law for approximately 6 to 8 months. I was paying just under $130 a month that was supposed to be the best and most expensive package. I was told 3 months is all it would take to fix and repair my credit. Now they did do a great job on turning on the vacuum cleaner and sucking all the garbage off two of my reports. Still have problems with the third. You have access to the website and on that website they show you all three reports but they provide only one credit score through TransUnion. You do not get to see your score for Equifax or Experian. Their website which I logged into showed I had a 743 FICO score.
I went to purchase a new Dodge. Anybody with a 700 plus was qualified for 0% finance. I was turned down and I couldn't figure out why so I tried a different dealership. Again was turned down with a 743 that falls into good credit. How and why was I being turned down for just about anything I applied for. Well after a few weeks I went to my bank and I spoke with the vice president of lending. He explained to me how he could help me do this for free and that I should fire Lexington immediately as we were researching Lexington and going through my profile that Lexington had built for me.
We went ahead and pulled my credit. It's funny that the vice president of lending the person that's going to eventually say yes or no turns his computer screen around and tells me the reason I am being denied is because I do not have a 743 FICO score TransUnion. The FICO score that he sees and he promises that any other lender pulls up and sees is a 633. Over 100 point difference.
When I called Lexington and confronted them on this they sound like robots that are reading from a book. They all say the same thing. Then I started thinking I am logging into a website that they created they have control over. Who's to say that they weren't fluffing my credit score. Now that I have proof and I have the vice president of lending from a major Bank telling me that they are ripping me off needless to say I fired Lexington that day. That's where the theft by deception comes in.
They are stealing your money and not doing what they're saying they're going to do in the time line that they say they can do it. I would not recommend Lexington law to anybody. It took me awhile to figure it out but if you really want to fix your credit go to your bank ask to talk to one of the lending officers and see if they will help you and show you what you can do for free. Your bank will be more than willing to offer any information or assistance in helping you with this matter and if they're not you might have your money in the wrong Bank. I hope some of this information is helpful. I hope this gets out there and people listen. Again please do not waste your money on Lexington law. Learn from my mistake. I lost my money in this deal. I did not get what I paid for. I used one documents. Don't let it happen to you.

I was a previous long term client of Lexington Law and returned bringing my husband and saying nothing but great things about the company. I even have friends that I had recommended this past month. I am not sure what has changed since my previous enrollment but this is ridiculous. I have been in this program (which has significantly increased in price to $129.95/mo) for four months, and I have not seen "One" thing be deleted or even updated for that matter! I had even been patient with that, but what I will not tolerate is the way "Andrea" spoke to me today! I disconnected the chat because I was two seconds from cussing her out and she deleted my freaking account!!!! Without confirmation!!! I am so disgusted. I will be sure to share this information with all media and review sites as well as anyone that I know!! Stay away!!!!

So I signed up 27 days ago for their service. It was advertised as “half price” for the first month. I expressed I was concerned about their removals being permanent. They said everything they do is permanent and items will not go back on your credit report. After a few days my score went up 20 points. Then 2 weeks later it went back to exactly where it started. The first payment is only for 5 days of service, even though they tell you it’s for a month, so when you try to cancel they charge you for a whole month again.
My credit isn’t good obviously, hence paying for credit repair, so I just canceled my credit card it was billing to as they would not cancel my service and I’m sure my credit scores will go down further now. I’m going to file a fraud complaint with my bank on the original payment as well since they provided me with no increase to my credit score and their whole service is a scam. Should’ve read more reviews before signing up instead of listening to the lies I was told by the person I signed up with!

I received word the Kia issue was corrected by Kia based on my efforts. I was content the issue was closed. My wife noticed an $89 charge was being issued by Lexington 6 months later. I checked and confirmed they had billed me $89 for 6 months. I called and asked why. they said my case was still open. I asked for an example what they did last month. They replied they sent me an E-Mail about my credit status on Experian. That E-mail cost me $89. There was nothing required from them after the 1st month.

Then I was told that I wouldn't be charged for the full service if I didn't call back to agree to move forward with their services. I called back on Saturday but found out they were not open to take my call. I was then charged for a full price for a service I never wanted over the weekend and couldn't dispute it at the time. Call right away on Monday to cancel and get my refund but was told I can only get half of it returned because it was past the 5 day deadline (which was never disclosed and a separate rep told me it was 5 business days). I never agreed to sign up with their services but only agreed to the initial $5 charge. Bottom line they will say anything to get you to agree to an initial charge in hopes of getting your card information.

I purchased a book with helps me do it on my own a week and a half ago, for far less than their monthly fee and have gotten 3 negative items removed from my own efforts.

What really got to me was the fact I sent in paperwork that should have gotten many of the negatives removed but they sat on it for three weeks. When I called to cancel she said okay and left me on hold for like five minutes which I thought was weird and came back and said that I have an outstanding balance that I need to take care of first... I said, "Mam how... I just acquired your services 2 weeks ago... How is it possible to have an outstanding balance..." I tried to be VERY careful in choosing a company to assist us with credit repair. Like so many of the reviews I am seeing NOW (hindsight, right??) we were also mislead about the cost of this service. The first month was fine - my husband and I were each charged $64.95, as we agreed. But the second month, the cost jumped to $129 EACH. When I contacted "premium" support, I was initially told that the one-month spousal discount only applied to the first month. I verified numerous times with our initial contact person that the cost was $64.95 EACH MONTH.
Eventually the chat operator offered to refund the additional $64.95 I was charged, but would not refund my husband's extra $64.95 - apparently he has to go through all the hoops that I just maneuvered on his own, even though we signed up together. When I asked what I would be charged in subsequent months, the operator confirmed it would again be $129 EACH.
I don't know if their service works (my scored has not changed and my husband's actually went DOWN after an inquiry on their part), but I do have very strong opinions on companies that partner with vulnerable populations and so obliquely mislead them on cost. In addition, I asked the chat operator for a supervisor phone number no fewer than 13 times, and she either ignored it or refused to reply each time I requested it. Yet another red flag that something is very wrong with this company. Best of luck to anyone looking for true assistance with credit repair. People end up in poor credit situations for a variety of reasons, sometimes beyond their control. That a company would take advantage of that is beyond skeezy.

This Rent to Own Club/Lexington Law firm company/program is a complete scam. My personal experience with these companies was never good. The customer service experience is really horrible and advise you all to save your money and time all they want is your money. My personal experience was when I contacted the Rent to Own Club to inquire some more information about what the requirements were to qualify for the program. I spoke with a gentleman named Jack who also gave me an extension phone # to reach him (just a typical common first name only no last name).
After he told me I met the requirements he said he would transfer me over to a Law firm who would work begin to work on my credit and for me to give him a call back with a confirmation #. I was transferred over and spoke with a lady named Amanda who then explained to me what the Law firm company does as to building your credit score. Amanda told me I would need to pay $4.95 to run the credit report and then pay $129.99/month to the Law firm so they can continue working on cases associated with your credit. I was given like 2 days to pay the first $129.99 and was charged a $19.99 late fee on the same day my first payment was due.
When I asked about why I was charged a late fee on my first payment and explained it was the same day the payment was due they said they would give me a refund of $19.99 which they never did. I was also told that I would be given a list of houses and to choose the few that would like to go and see and inspect to make a decision on which house I would be renting and potentially owning in the future. Amanda told me she would call me back the following day at a certain time. The following day I never received a call from Amanda at the scheduled time she designated to call me back. I then called the original number twice when I spoke to Jack to follow up on my status and to no surprise I got no answer, it pretty much sounded like the phone rang one time and then was hung up on after one ring as if they know my phone number.
A couple days later I received an email with a list of houses to pick from but no addresses or even an area of location. I responded back with 3 houses chosen to view, and was told that I would be assigned a realtor named Mr. Parrish ** (sounds made up but whatever). I was told Mr. ** was supposed to call me within 1-2 days, so I assumed I would receive from him later on that week. Again as I wasn’t surprised with my experience so far I received NO call that whole week and I decided to follow up with an email. Once I explained my frustrations in follow up email about I was given some unprofessional responses about how the company did not know what happened to Mr. ** and to stand by and wait for further instructions because Mr. ** does not work for their company and is a private real estate agent who they aren't responsible for.
When the decision came to cancel my account I called the Lexington Law firm and originally spoke to a lady named Bobbi who when I first stated I was calling to close my account she immediately hung up on me. I called back immediately and no one picked up and was forced to use the chat option located on their website. I believe the law firm was working on cases associated with my credit report because I can statuses changing and they were constantly communicating with me, by email for the most part.
The other side of it which is the Rent to Own Club I believe was the scamming side. Both companies are connected in some way when working with the program but operate entirely private/separate from one another and seems like little to no communication is involved. I work in professional customer service and told them when I schedule an appointment whether in-person/phone I commit to every single appointment in the most utmost and respective manner as possible especially when dealing with sensitive and personal information. The Rent to Own Club does not have any contact information, mostly communication is done by email and I would think twice about doing business, providing personal information, or paying money to someone who you can never see in person, or talk to over the phone. There may be some legit Rent to Own programs out there, but this one is not it.

They do work for you and have moved at an understandably reasonable speed, in which I am very satisfied! In just over a month they have removed 4 items between the 3 credit bureaus. They would have been 5 stars but they were deceitful about the billing. When opening account my fiance and I were made to believe that they would take us both on for 129 a month. I asked repeatedly to be sure that it would only be 129 together. When billed the following month we were each charged separately 129 each on my card. When questioned about this it was denied and avoided further more. I may be cancelling my account/s as I have learned of free options worth looking into through realtor's lenders.

We were explained something over the phone and 3 months later when we are canceling we were told something different and being charged to tell us there is nothing they can do. We technically paid them 3 months for nothing and having them say we responded as "do not challenge". If that was the case then why would we even be paying for their service.

Now I admit my credit is less than perfect. In April 2020, my score was 518 with 22 negative items on my credit report. I sign up with Lexington Law believing they were experts at credit restoration. I was advised to make payments on my debt while they work on my account. I paid off 1 collection, 1 charge off, and made payments towards my student loans in default. I also got a $200 secure credit card. This alone brought my credit score up 100 points within 2 months. I know this because I have multiple credit apps that tell me the reasons why my score increase/decrease.
Little did I know, Lexington Law would destroy it all. The items they dispute change my student loan account status and drop my score over 70 points. I called their customer services and went on their online chat many times. I got 3 different answers and none of them made sense. The last answer I got was for me to call my my student loan lenders asking for them to correct my payment history and apply Covid-19 to accounts.
Now mind you, my original loan was with Sallie Mae, who transferred my loan to Navient, who transfer that loan Reliant Capital Solutions. They all said they can’t fix my payment history because they don’t have control over what’s reported to the credit bureaus. This got me even more upset with Lexington Law. They should of discovery this when they challenged the accounts in April and now we’re in the month of July. Lexington Law paralegals do not know what they are doing!!!! I should of been offer compensation but instead I was offer a final bill.

Called ONE day after to cancel and get my money back then they took 2 charges if 129$ for both my fiancee and myself. Baffled I took it to the chat room service they had. Spent about a little less than an hour. They refused to give me a refund. The payment plan they have going on is a scam. The work they do sure may be real. But the payment plan is a scam. I honestly feel I was scammed for the money. I am 25 years old. I work a part time job and I don't make a lot. $260 just POOF gone. This month will be hard for me thanks to whoever this Puletini was refusing to give my my refund while its still pending. I still want my refund for both accounts because it was Lexington Law's fault for not letting people know hey, let people know it's a 1 time discount.

I had 3 negative reports on my CS. Was recommended to Lex Law by Credit Sesame. After initial consultation I was a bit apprehensive about signing on at first because of the cost of service VS waiting 3 years for items to be removed (these were med bills I didn’t realize I had accrued) I decided to go with them and See if it was cost effective. (I could’ve tried to negotiate a settlement with collections.)
It took a few months to get any results but then 2 of the smaller bills were removed and I only had the bigger one of approximately $4500.00. With a little patience this too was also removed. Along the way, they would update my case progress via their website. I was able to obtain 3 credit cards so far and with no late payments and low utilization my score is finally close to 700. I plan on acquiring 1 or 2 more, be responsible with them, (I never was in real c/c debt just didn’t have any credit) and finally try for a home loan in the near future. Without good or any credit this wouldn’t be doable. Yeah thanks LexingtonLaw???? 7

They never take action, you have to do 50% of the job, Customer service most of the time arrogant if not useless! Was paying more than $110 a month just to have a website access and Transunion credit score updated every 2/3 months. Any other agency you have to force them to update and eventually pay extra! It's cheaper to go to pay the single agency directly and screen and dispute all information through them directly! Don't waste your $$$. There is better way to go out there!

I never got a call from a paralegal or anybody from Lexington Law because I would have told them about the troubles I was having and finally after getting nowhere for two weeks they charged $129 from my account. So far, the service is still worth it. If they continue at this pace, it may be a while for my credit is in good shape. So far I give them three stars. I’ll update again in the next few months.
Original Review: Today on June 5th, I signed up for Lexington Law credit repair services. As of today, I’m only giving them 2 stars. Not only is it too early to me to confirm if their services work, but I was quoted a one time $4.95 fee to pull my credit but then later told it would be $14.95, in addition to the monthly fee of $109. I’m not expecting magic overnight but even if a few negative items a month are removed, I’ll consider it worth it. For now, it is yet to be determined... I will update my review & stars monthly to let others know what to expect.

I considered signing up. I set up a payment, and then after looking at my financial situation during this pandemic, I realised that it was not a reasonable time for me to be spending so much money on services that are questionable at best. I live alone and am just now getting back to my full-time job. I e-mailed Lexington Law immediately (within six hours of signing up), as I could not reach customer service over the phone.
On the website, it states you have up to 3-5 days to cancel your services with no penalty. They responded within two days, saying they may charge for services already performed, although I asked for a cancellation within six hours of signing up, and gave them almost time to perform services. But then, AFTER agreeing to cancel my services, they sent letters out to creditors, thus "performing services". I am extremely unhappy and disappointed in this experience. Should I ever consider credit repair services again, I will absolutely not be going with Lexington Law.

I was searching for the “Rent to Own” property. ‘Hiddenlistings’ got a hold of me through phone and asked me different questions of what type of homes I was looking for, employment status, and credit. (I knew my credit was low, because I am using Credit Karma). The person said I was qualified to be able to talk to their credit and financial help services.
She transfer me to Lexington Law, (at this time I thought it was part of their company, sort of like department within). The guy was nice and asked close to the same questions as the ‘hiddenlistings’ people did. I let Lexington Law look at my credit score. He said they can mail out and contact the companies on my credit report to get them off my report. (I already contacted all the companies on my report as Credit Karma told me to do for free. Some were bad and others try to work out a better payoff deal). Lexington Law stated they can fix it all for a low price with credit card or debit. AS SOON AS I SAID “no, I think I’ll hold off on that,”. THEY HANGED UP!
Then half hour later I got a text from them on how I can save 50 bucks to get my credit score fixed. I still have copies of the text. It's too bad I did not record the phone call. This is how I end up on this site “Consumeraffairs.com”. I may avoid the scam for now, but they are still out there using different aspects to get to people.

I needed some help getting some negative remarks off my credit and I was told about Lexington Law. First thing that I didn't like was the fact that the guy I spoke with could tell me very little about the results I could have, he just kept repeating that he couldn't make any promises. After a week I got emails saying they sent disputes, I started wondering why I was being charged so much for a company to dispute information that I could do on Credit Karma, a free service. Then a couple days later I received another email with the same thing for a different loan provider. At that point I was very disappointed because I had subscribed for the premium service and I felt that they couldn't promise anything because they would do the same as I could by myself.
I went to cancel my subscription because I was told that I would be charged May 11th and it was the 8th. The process of canceling was smooth until they mentioned that I would be charged the full amount for the disputes because my invoice was sent that morning. I was baffled that it was sent on the 8th, but I wasn't technically supposed to be charged until the 11th. After all was said and done, I ended up paying $140 for them to dispute 4 late payments and 2 inquiries. I feel like the biggest fool to have fallen for this big of a scam, I should've known something was off when the first guy told me that he couldn't promise any results. My experience was terrible and you will find other people with experiences just as bad, don't fall for the tricks this company plays to make over $20 per dispute.

An executive reached out to me and resolved the crisis. I would do business with them again when a situation presents itself.
Original Review: April 30, 2020
We subscribed to their credit help service due to a particular situation that I clearly explained to the staff member when I called for assistance. The staff member said they can very well address the issue as it is not a regular dispute process and definitely needs a law firm to deal with the matter. We were then put on a an automated emailing feature so it kept sending me that the case is being looked at and that new credit reports were received and action initiated.
When I logged in, there was no update on the website about what the action was, but the disputed case record kept reminding me to upload supporting documents pertaining to the case. I did each time I logged in and the system never showed whether it was a success or not. There was no acknowledgement from any of their staff or case worker other than the same routine robo emails. I did not know the emails I was receiving were robo-emails, and often thought it was the caseworker emailing me on the status.
When I called them to check on the status, the staff member said there is nobody by the name I mentioned. One of the members explained to me that the credit bureau have been notified as soon as the dispute was initiated about the errors and that I should wait or I can escalate it with their firm's intervention group. I thought I had already made that request in my prior calls as well as emails to what became later apparent that it was a robo email-id.
When I called again, another staff member said that they had sent us emails with PDF letters that had some attachments, which required notarization from our side. I had never received this letter in any form. I asked why they would not revisit or check back with me on this matter as it was escalated and I was paying the premium for the escalation or mail it via USPS. The person responded by saying let us move forward and if I can get it notarized and sent they will still escalate it and I should continue to hold the membership at premium level that covers the escalation-intervention feature.
I continued the membership for another two months and there was no action or acknowledgement of any kind, not even the robo-emails. When I called they did not even have the notarized letters in their system yet. After I provided the postal verification and date of mailing, the staff member was able to find it and enter it into their database and let me know that now onwards they will send the letter to the disputed entities as well as the bureaus and I must wait four weeks to hear a response. I waited another month and there was no acknowledgement of any kind or activity. When I checked with the Bureaus, they said they have not received any complaints or letters regarding the disputed matters and the only dispute on the matters were the ones I had personally made a year before. For over six months they robbed us for $600 plus for absolutely nothing.

Disclosure: The statements and information provided below are meant to be interpreted as what I believe to be true. These statements are written without intent of malice, only with the intent to exercise my first amendment write to freedom of speech.
First Point: According to the house of delegates: A paralegal is a person, qualified by education, training or work experience who is employed or retained by a lawyer, law office, corporation, governmental agency or other entity and who performs specifically delegated substantive legal work for which a lawyer is responsible. In summary, the “paralegals” that work at LLF do not need any special certification or training outside of the four-week training that they are provided to be called “paralegals”. In translation, one could consider the roles of the agents to be more customer service centered.
Second Point: Lexington Law Firm leverages the rights of the consumers to dispute inaccurate or incomplete information from a consumer’s credit reports. The key terms are “incomplete” or “inaccurate”. If you know that negative items listed in your credit file to be accurate, then it makes no sense to dispute them with a mission to have them removed. Although it may work and your credit score may go up, there’s a very real possibility that those negative items will be reported once again once the information is complete. Negative remarks to your credit file can appear for 7-10 years depending on the type of negative items.
Third Point: Like with many other organizations, the goal is to retain clients to the current business model to maintain a healthy revenue. The agents are driven to retain a certain percentage of clients therefor they are driven to save on every call. How does this impact you? Well, it’s possibly that you may not have seen any results in the last few months or several months. It’s possible that you may see a removal next month or not for another year. (don’t forget point the second point, negatives can come back). Even if you haven’t seen removals in a long period of time, and it’s unlikely that you will. They are still expected to persuade you to stay.
Fourth Point: The items that are chosen to be disputed are chosen by an algorithm and not by an actual person. Additionally, items are only disputed once every 30-60 days with Transunion and once every 180 days with Experian. That’s 6 months. In a lot of cases, the limited number of attorneys have never touched your file, same as with the agents that you will speak with. You will not normally have a designated selected group of agents that work on your account periodically. Unless they are working on a special initiative for your type of account or unless you’re behind on your bill.
Last Point: Cost. Cost is relatively high in comparison to the results that you may or may not see. For the cost of their plans. Which to the end of my tenure with them reached $129.95 per month you can take advantage of free services like credit karma or Experian.com. They will offer you a credit score but you can obtain one from Experian.com for free. The only one that they provided at the end of my tenure was Transunion. They will offer you Id theft monitoring but services like Lifelock and myfico do that at a very low cost by comparison. They will offer you a finance software, to track your expenses. Most banks offer that for free but you could always use mint.com or truebill. Other information that is provided you can find at a very low cost elsewhere. In summary, use logic when you’re making financial decisions. Especially in times of uncertainty like these. This is not a magic eraser. This is a bucket full of optimism with a very possible leak.
