I feel totally taken advantage of by this company. I filed a TM through their system & I was told by the sales associate, while he guided me through their website, to sign up for a Lawyer Consultation for $39 (one call only). He highly advised it, so I did. I just realized on my Bank Statements that I have been charged $39/monthly for 4+ months now!

My experience with a knowledgeable Legalzoom expert named Jon, was so favorable, I had choice but to leave a review: He traversed complicated sub/legal terrain with the finesse of a swordsman, answering all of my questions with precision and with good cheer. It is difficult to have asked for more. Touché to Legalzoom for hiring such knowledgeable people. It is very, very rare in American businesses today.

I wanted to cancel a LLC that I started through LZ. My process had made it to Sec. state. LZ would have to call to stop process & they purposely kept giving me the runaround to keep from refunding my money.

The agent was very helpful and knowledgeable. She understood my needs and guided me to make the right decision. I recommend this company to anyone who desire to have less stress in filling out an application for the registering of his or her business.

I've used LegalZoom for at least two rounds of estate papers because I keep losing executors. I also used it for my late brother's last-minute papers, as he had neglected this completely. The service has always been fast, accurate and professional, and Customer Service was great on the one occasion I had a question.

I've used Legal Zoom several times over the years. I needed to get a POA and contacted Legal Zoom and it couldn't have been easier. After filling out the paperwork online with a little guidance, I pushed the button and off it went. Within an hour I received a response that my order is ready to ship! This was done in one phone call. The person who took my call was very knowledgeable and helpful. I was also able to set up an S-Corp several years ago with ease.

The level of professionalism goes above and beyond. I had the honor of having Patty during my transaction and she made everything a breeze. I found out you have to pay and record deed to avoid probate courts ... Dahh LOL So I needed to finish this process because what would be the point of doing a Living Trust if not done! Nowadays when you call Customer Service anywhere all you get is a rush fast out of communication in a hurry to get your info and get you off the phone and in this case I got the real customer service rep willing to listen and carry on his job till he was done with me!!! The lady That called me from LegalZoom, was very informative, amazingly responsive, and above all was super understanding. She answered any question I had and if she did not have the answer, she gave me recourses to find what I was looking for. VERY helpful.

Specifically, where the first helper did not have a friendly attitude, we called back and Melissa ** was patient, helpful, not condescending and genuinely listened to our concerns rather than herself and her expertise, like so many other agents in companies. Where all can't be fixed in a phone call, her customer service was appreciated.

I attempted to revise my existing will for beneficiaries. I was told by a Legal Zoom associate it was not possible to revise my beneficiaries in the beneficiary section, I had to add comments at the end of my revision and Legal Zoom would place them in the appropriate location. My new beneficiaries are in my interment page. I cannot imagine this is the proper method, regardless it is not acceptable for me to have 2 beneficiaries in the beneficiary section and 2 in the interment section. I have attempted to contact them several times and no response.

My customer experience with Dawn ** at OLegal Zoom was "Spot On!" Her expertise coupled with her customer focus allowed her to address my concerns in a timely and concise manner. Legalzoom followed up promptly when I went online and began to fill out a form but was called away from my desk, a representative called the very next day and offered to complete the order promptly. We were done in 10 minutes and I got the name Rock Star Remodeling.

Setting up a consultation with a lawyer is very difficult to find once you start exploring the website. I don't know if this is intentional or just lack of knowledge on the part of the website designer. Either way, it is a waste of time for the consumer. If you go to the website to set up a consultation do that first before looking at anything else. Chances of finding it again is slim to none. Another thing that came up when submitting this review is agreeing to the terms of use. It won't let you proceed until you agree but there is no place to agree. Poor website design.

It's the ease of navigating through the questions. No pressure. No sales pitch. I was able to legally open my business without anxiety. I gain confident move forward and make my business happen. They answer question to items that I haven't thought of. It's Golden Girl friendly.

I have sent the documents to Legal Zoom to file a DBA on September 9, 2021, within a week the phone call came in to let me know that documents need attention, after speaking with representative correction were done and second set was sent in on September 16th, again the phone call came in to let me know that there was an issue, after talking to the representative the issue was resolved. The paper work was perfectly fine. I have patiently waited for the registration from the state, but again the phone call came in a week later that there was an issue, the same have repeated for the next 6 weeks, on December 6, I was told that my paperwork was discarded and I have to start all over again. The documents had to be notarized, and overnighted to Legal Zoom. The cost of time, repeated expenses, stress and frustration make Legal Zoom experience very negative and frustrating. I would use professional next time.

Melissa refunded the fee for a seller's permit that I did not need. She also removed my name from a membership billed monthly $7.99 to receive professional help with any legal issues. Melissa was very easy to work with and her understanding of your product is a breath of fresh air! She is magnificent.

Do not use. My EIN was filed incorrectly. The BUSINESS name is wrong! I was told it was an IRB issue and they could not help. I paid money I did not have to LegalZoom to start my business. I was told I had to call the IRS. Find a business lawyer or some other avenue to start your business. Legal Zoom is not supportive of their product.

I called to inquire about the service and costs. I dealt with an agent that was very knowledgeable, and patient with my amount of questions. The level of professionalism that this agency has shown thus far has given me confidence to go further with them in the future.

I have been trying to get LegalZoom to put through simple DBA & EIN applications since August 8th. After nearly 4 months, I'm finally throwing in the towel and have asked for a refund of my $285.00 fee and will take care of it myself. I'm giving them one star since they're at least saying they'll refund my money but I'm pretty skeptical even of that at this point. This has come about because there seems to be some disagreement about how the forms should be notarized between LegalZoom and the Mariposa County, CA Clerk's Office. What's massively frustrating to me is that for a period of time, LegalZoom's position was that they had sent the forms to Mariposa and they'd been rejected. This was patently false. As of yesterday, the county assures me they have never heard anything from LegalZoom about my DBA.

My daughter used Zoom to start a new business with great satisfaction. On the heels of that, I set up an LLC for/with friends for a new endeavor with great ease over the course of a few days! Great legal platform!

Legal Zoom did a great job setting up our LLC. This was the first time I’ve ever done something like that myself, and they were great at directing me precisely through the steps involved, and subsequent maintenance tasks. Highly recommended! I do want to state, however, that I was very unhappy with another firm with which Legal Zoom has a relationship, accounting firm 1800 Accounting. They found out about us through LegalZoom, I was hard sold on the promise that 1800 accounting would help with the PPP, and the experience was really bad.

As of today, I am officially done with LegalZoom. Our personal information has been compromised because they mailed our LLC kit to the wrong address after I gave them the correct one the day we filed.

I had been putting off doing my Will but Legal Zoom was recommend to me by several of my friends and family members. I logged in and completed my will in less than 30 minutes. Tim from Legal Zoom called and enlighten me on a change that was needed concerning having family member names for one plot rather than just having the words. “Family Members” in the will. Was able to resolve this in a few minutes with Tim and he is sending me a hard copy to have notarized before a couple of friends and that’s all it is to making my wishes known. Tim was very friendly and considerate.

This was like calling Apple for support. A person who you can understand answers the phone in a reasonable time, and in a friendly way walks you through the issue until the problem is solved. It's not complicated by having to transfer you to other people etc. It's just basic good service in a timely manner. A rarity.

This company is paid to set up an LLC. However, what they don't tell you is that they will CONTINUE to bill you for a 'registered agent fee' of $250 even if your LLC is cancelled. The BBB has over 700 complaints on users who are experiencing this. Legal Zoom is even sending people to collections for this! Unbelievable. This company should be put out of business and/or sued by a class action lawsuit!

I am trying to decide between a couple of different ways to register our business and about state fees. The agent (which btw a was a human and NOT A COMPUTER RESPONSE) was very knowledgeable and didn't treat me like I was stupid for not already knowing the information. When I mentioned that I was comparing prices because I was concerned about my budget, he informed me that LegalZoom offered payment plans if needed. He wasn't pushy about signing up right away either which I really appreciated.

I called in reference to a question I had during the online process. The agent offered to stay on the phone during that process to answer any questions I may have. I had maybe two questions so the call was pretty silent but knowing someone was there to answer my questions was great and impressive.

Was able to get questions about a trust/will answered. Did not have a huge need for the service. Didn’t know they renewed service automatically and was charged. Customer service said they would refund me since I didn’t want the service anymore. But they failed to do it. I called again. It took about 30 mins to get the right department. And eventually a nice helpful person Tim was able to cancel my subscription and provide the refund.

First time using LegalZoom, and so far it has been nothing but precise, knowledgeable, and the whole process streamlined. I would 100% recommend. Affordable, and great support for any questions, or assistance you may need.

Legal Zoom, acting as my agent for filing State Reports did not stop a subscription for services when a company I owned was dissolved in 2016. The subscription person cheerfully handled this and internally got an approval for a refund, with a minimum of trouble for which I am very appreciative.

I purchased a package 3 years ago with a 1 year membership. I recently reviewed it and saw that I had failed to fill out a Power Of Attorney form for my mother. LegalZoom provides absolutely dismal service. They simply submit your documents, and then wait. You can't get any real customer service from them. If anything goes wrong, they claim they are not responsible. They don't even follow up on their own filings. My corporate filling is being significantly overdue, and all they say "It's a known delay." If it was so well known, why didn't they inform me at the time of filing or when I called their customer service 3 times? Use anyone else.

Great company for many years. I moved and went with an attorney to get a Trust Fund set up. Brandon spoke with me for quite awhile and was incredibly considerate thru our conversation. He spoke to me about speaking with the attorney that did my Trust Fund to see if he offering the other plan you offer. I will check with my Trust Fund Attorney and see if he offers this other benefits you offer. If not I will definitely enroll in the new plan. Very very happy with Legal Zoom and especially Brandon. LegalZoom charged me $150 for forms that are free at the courthouse. The courthouse don't accept their forms. They use their own forms and complete them for you, the only thing you have to pay is the filing fee. LegalZoom is a rip-off.

Oriel (agent) is super friendly and understands our needs when we call in and email her. Her personality is what made us come back to LegalZoom to open another account for our record label company. She also explains what our package includes and has to offer us. She is easy to speak to and gives good information about LegalZoom. In fact all so far of their agents are super friendly and helpful but our favorite is Oriel **. Thank you!

Legal Zoom has successfully completed two copyrights for me. I currently have a Dissolution of a Nonprofit pending, which was being held up by the State of California, not Legal Zoom. I will need them for a Living Trust.

The Legal Zoom experience is one like no other when it relates to getting my business up and running legally with my state. All challenges are met with swift action. Legal Zoom representatives have the knowledge and a level of concern that is unmatched. I highly recommend Legal Zoom to all businesses especially the ones that are still an ideal.

These folks sent invoices to collections without contacting me. The worst part is that it was for things I never ordered. It was a mistake in their system and was corrected several times. Because of the hassle, I changed registered agent services and canceled with LegalZoom, but they found it in their hearts to bill me again. I had to call and cancel the order....again. Everyone I speak with is very nice, but they have a flaw in their system and will have you spending hours trying to fix their billing problems. I recommend you find another avenue for legal things.

I chose to use Legal Zoom to help me file my LLC because I wanted to save myself some time and hassle. I have experience creating an LLC but this time I thought I'd get some help because I'm so busy. Legal Zoom requested that my registered agent (a different company than Legal Zoom) sign the registered agent form. My agent signed the form and I emailed it back. A few weeks later I get an email saying they are waiting for me to sign my registered agent form. I called customer service and the rep said that she did not see the form in my file and asked me to send it while we were on the phone. I sent it and she confirmed that she received it and said that they had everything they needed and that my LLC request would be sent to the state asap.

I used LZ as a Registered Agent, a service for which they severely overcharge in hindsight (do your research, in Virginia I was paying 3x what I needed to). I cancelled the RA service several years ago. In the late-MIDDLE of the pandemic, when my business flow is about 1/3rd of what it was pre-pandemic, I hear from LZ for the first time in years through a COLLECTIONS agency claiming I owe LZ $399 for RA long after I cancelled it. I called LZ, told them the problem, and the rep was going to "transfer (me) right over to someone who can help (me) out!."
