I purchased this service in Dec and we are in March and still no progress not even an initial filing. Between a system flaw which generated papers incorrectly to multiple emails left unanswered - nobody calling back. Also, they mail the paperwork which you have notarized and mail back. Then wait 14 days for them to say there was an error, so had to remail to us again and now we are 3 weeks into the second mail in and silence. No response, holding out 412.00 filing fee. Not responding to any requests for status..

My husband and I have used Legal Zoom to create 2 LLCs, wills, power of attorneys, etc. They have been wonderful until recently. I am trying to dissolve my business and the status keeps getting put on hold but when I call they say they are not needing any information from me. Each time I call, the wait time keeps getting longer and longer. 1st call around the beginning of Feb almost an hour, 2nd call mid Feb, an hour and a half. Just now 1 hour and 55 minutes. I paid Legal Zoom good money to take care of this and I did not even receive an e-mail regarding the status of my order being put on hold and the wait time is unacceptable. I hope that you are able to resolve this as I would love to continue to use Legal Zoom.

I am paying 800$ for an expedited LLC that said action needed signature required. I signed and sent document verified document received. Two days later I am still showing action needed. Called everyday- I am not able to speak to the department that actually processes the paperwork. No supervisor to call- customer service agents just take my info and say they will send an email. Meanwhile, I am out the money for expedited. I am waiting on my LLC to get my business loan. Poor service. Do not use them if you are in a hurry. Website does say 100% moneyback guarantee if not satisfied. Let's see if they stick to their word. I want a refund for the expedited option. There is nothing expedited about this process.

Sure it's cheaper but there are other similar services, use anyone but Legalzoom. Average hold time is an hour and then no one knows what is going on. I keep receiving emails that say there is a problem with my order. The emails don't reference the issue or your order number. When you speak to an agent they don't know why you were sent the email or they says it's a legal issue and they can't help. Representatives can not connect you to a supervisor or the escalation dept. I have spent over 12 hours on hold to complete a new corp filing.

I'm new to all of this so I haven't made my order yet because it's some things I need to go over but, when I'm absolutely ready I will for sure move forward with the service. The service representative who assisted me gave me the assurance and confidence that he would act in my best interest. Thanks!

I called in not knowing where to begin, and thankfully they picked up my call right away, they were able to answer my questions on my first call and I was able to receive the help I needed to start my small business. :)

I started a small business and used Legal Zoom. I was not in a hurry to get my business running and did not order the Gold plan although customer services assured I did which would get my paperwork within two-five business days. I asked to see my order and was told because it says I ordered a Gold plan that is what I'm paying for. Bottom line is that between the basic $79 plan, the standard $329 and Gold $349 comes out to $750 for which I'm paying $250 a month which, had I know all this, would never have placed an order like this. They couldn't show me where I made this order as I only needed the basic plan. Now I'm strapped with a payment taken out today, which I had not planned for and another for next month. I can't afford this especially knowing I did not order it. When I told customer service I would cancel the last payment they assured me my license would be taken away. This is not service.

When I called in, the level of professionalism and willingness to aid me with my questions was outstanding. It's so nice to have this support and to not feel rushed when getting help. This service is one of the many reasons Legal Zoom is the way to go when getting your LLC set up.

When I login, I can’t see my order except ads that are popping up to me. I was not able to locate my order status and finally I was blocked from my account. It looks like denial of service attack because I was not able to access what I have in my account using iPhone or laptop desktop. My problem still not resolved yet. I may just cancel my order if this is the case.

I have nothing but positive experiences when using the services of Legal Zoom. I created my LLC through Legal Zoom and they were very prompt in getting me out my documents. If I have a question, they answer my questions promptly and with reassurance. I will use them again, and highly recommend their services to small businesses.

I could not remember how to regain access to my LegalZoom account. I thought that it was stored in one of my files. It wasn’t stored there. The agent knew exactly what to do and directed me back to the website and how to sign into my account. Her help kept me on the right track.

LegalZoom is great not only because it is reasonably priced, but also because it is readily available. I needed a Power of Attorney by Monday morning, and got it through LegalZoom (and their fantastic Customer Service Dept who were available) on Saturday evening. My attorney could not do that.

Legalzoom was the Registered Agent on my LLC company in Illinois. The llc was dissolved by state in March 2019. I received a letter from a collection agency now saying I owe $399.00 for Legalzoom RA (Registered Agent) services. The state doesn't bother any unpaid fees as long the llc is dissolved. But LegalZoom is worried about their RA fees for doing nothing for last 3 years on dissolved company.. Wow! Wait there is more.. I called up the LegalZoom customer care..a nice lady answered the call and she did check the llc status on the state website and found the fact that company was dissolved in March 2019. She says as long LegalZoom is the RA on state website their service will be charged. I was like for what service and doing for what exactly? I said for your RA fees now the llc need to be reinstated paying thousands of dollars and then have state to change the RA..!

Not only did she explain every question I had in full detail and in a manner in which I could understand, but she was also patient and kind & that’s very under appreciated in customer care! Absolutely worst communication I’ve ever experienced. No contact when issues arise that need attention. The only way to know there’s an issue that needs resolving is to log in and see it. My account has been sitting at a standstill for weeks with not a single email or update. It’s over a week past the original scheduled completion date with literally no movement on the account. They take at least one full week to reply to any inquiries which isn’t helpful. I do not recommend throwing money at this company if you want a fast smooth process.

Needed to shut down my business entity in California. Legal Zoom helped me set it up years ago and was just as helpful shutting it down. State website was confusing and process convoluted. Worth the small fee to have Legal Zoom do it.

Weeks go by without any progress. They lose things. They ask for the same information over and over again. They tell me that I am answering questions incorrectly when I follow their exact instructions. The last straw is the complete standstill I'm at now, due to their failure to get me an EIN. I faxed the SS-4. They said it was corrupted. I scanned & emailed the SS-4. They said it was corrupted. After 67 minutes on the phone with a lovely woman named Jamiah **, who said she WOULD NOT leave the phone until we got this right, FINALLY, she said the SS-4 copy was fine, and we were good to go.

Specifically, where the first helper did not have a friendly attitude, we called back and Melissa ** was patient, helpful, not condescending and genuinely listened to our concerns rather than herself and her expertise, like so many other agents in companies. Where all can't be fixed in a phone call, her customer service was appreciated.

I attempted to revise my existing will for beneficiaries. I was told by a Legal Zoom associate it was not possible to revise my beneficiaries in the beneficiary section, I had to add comments at the end of my revision and Legal Zoom would place them in the appropriate location. My new beneficiaries are in my interment page. I cannot imagine this is the proper method, regardless it is not acceptable for me to have 2 beneficiaries in the beneficiary section and 2 in the interment section. I have attempted to contact them several times and no response.

Legalzoom followed up promptly when I went online and began to fill out a form but was called away from my desk, a representative called the very next day and offered to complete the order promptly. We were done in 10 minutes and I got the name Rock Star Remodeling.

Setting up a consultation with a lawyer is very difficult to find once you start exploring the website. I don't know if this is intentional or just lack of knowledge on the part of the website designer. Either way, it is a waste of time for the consumer. If you go to the website to set up a consultation do that first before looking at anything else. Chances of finding it again is slim to none. Another thing that came up when submitting this review is agreeing to the terms of use. It won't let you proceed until you agree but there is no place to agree. Poor website design.

I have sent the documents to Legal Zoom to file a DBA on September 9, 2021, within a week the phone call came in to let me know that documents need attention, after speaking with representative correction were done and second set was sent in on September 16th, again the phone call came in to let me know that there was an issue, after talking to the representative the issue was resolved. The paper work was perfectly fine. I have patiently waited for the registration from the state, but again the phone call came in a week later that there was an issue, the same have repeated for the next 6 weeks, on December 6, I was told that my paperwork was discarded and I have to start all over again. The documents had to be notarized, and overnighted to Legal Zoom. The cost of time, repeated expenses, stress and frustration make Legal Zoom experience very negative and frustrating. I would use professional next time.

Do not use. My EIN was filed incorrectly. The BUSINESS name is wrong! I was told it was an IRB issue and they could not help. I paid money I did not have to LegalZoom to start my business. I was told I had to call the IRS. Find a business lawyer or some other avenue to start your business. Legal Zoom is not supportive of their product.

I have been trying to get LegalZoom to put through simple DBA & EIN applications since August 8th. After nearly 4 months, I'm finally throwing in the towel and have asked for a refund of my $285.00 fee and will take care of it myself. I'm giving them one star since they're at least saying they'll refund my money but I'm pretty skeptical even of that at this point. This has come about because there seems to be some disagreement about how the forms should be notarized between LegalZoom and the Mariposa County, CA Clerk's Office. What's massively frustrating to me is that for a period of time, LegalZoom's position was that they had sent the forms to Mariposa and they'd been rejected. This was patently false. As of yesterday, the county assures me they have never heard anything from LegalZoom about my DBA.

My daughter used Zoom to start a new business with great satisfaction. On the heels of that, I set up an LLC for/with friends for a new endeavor with great ease over the course of a few days! Great legal platform!

This was the first time I’ve ever done something like that myself, and they were great at directing me precisely through the steps involved, and subsequent maintenance tasks. Highly recommended! I do want to state, however, that I was very unhappy with another firm with which Legal Zoom has a relationship, accounting firm 1800 Accounting. They found out about us through LegalZoom, I was hard sold on the promise that 1800 accounting would help with the PPP, and the experience was really bad.

I had been putting off doing my Will but Legal Zoom was recommend to me by several of my friends and family members. I logged in and completed my will in less than 30 minutes. Tim from Legal Zoom called and enlighten me on a change that was needed concerning having family member names for one plot rather than just having the words. “Family Members” in the will. Was able to resolve this in a few minutes with Tim and he is sending me a hard copy to have notarized before a couple of friends and that’s all it is to making my wishes known. Tim was very friendly and considerate.

This company is paid to set up an LLC. However, what they don't tell you is that they will CONTINUE to bill you for a 'registered agent fee' of $250 even if your LLC is cancelled. The BBB has over 700 complaints on users who are experiencing this. Legal Zoom is even sending people to collections for this! Unbelievable. This company should be put out of business and/or sued by a class action lawsuit!
