I went to search for the name I want to trademark, the cost at Legal Zoom? Starts at $199. The cost on other sites including the US patent office? $0! They charge you for a free search so if they rip you off at the start, where else are they doing it? Hard pass for me.

They will not stop a payment plan of $159.00/month although I'm struggling financially and let them know that and tried multiple times with multiple people to stop it. They don't clearly let people know that you are locked in for 2 years. If I don't want to give my money to a company I SHOULD BE ABLE TO MAKE THAT CHOICE. THEY WILL NOT STOP THE PAYMENT PLAN AND CONTINUE TO STEAL MY MONEY WITHOUT MY CONSENT. I spoke to the what she said was the only person I could talk to about it and she started getting very rude all because I couldn't afford their payment plan anymore and want to cancel it. Disgusting. Absolutely horrendous customer service. Especially during difficult times like this.

To get an EIN number for company we registered (DrillApp Technologies, LLC). Dylan the LegalZoom representative within five minutes completed the form and submitted. Got stuck on one question on LLC dissolution form and called help and agent gave me the information and other advice - was so easy and he was so nice and patient! He stayed on the line with me while I completed the form and told me no signatures were needed for Florida.

I paid LegalZoom to dissolve my LLC in March. After informing me that there was an issue I needed to address, I did so promptly and notified LegalZoom. They then failed to update their records for a month, until I called them asking for progress. It is now 5 months since I paid them, and roughly 4 months since they said they sent the paperwork in. They claim it can take 8 months to get a certificate back, but even the comptroller's office says that is not true. Whenever I call, LegalZoom says that it's still within the expected timeframe. I've dissolved businesses before and it has never taken this long. I did this with LegalZoom for convenience. Had I known it was going to be this much of a mess, I'd have just filed the documents myself.

Recently, I submitted my trademark application to the USPO with the assistance of LegalZoom. Not only was my trademark name not approved, but as was my logo (image). LegalZoom presented potential conflicts to the trademark name; however, failed to explain the reasonings for potential rejection. Although I had a similar name to another trademark, I had no idea musically entities had protections towards separate products. LegalZoom mentioned nothing as to how this may be an issue or the fact that our trademark could be rejected because of similar phonetics.

LegalZoom failed to file my Company's DBA correctly. They file the DBA under my representative who filed my company originally (my CPA) - not my Company. LegalZoom finally accepted responsibility and sent an email indicating as such - but they argued and held their ground for 3 days. The State helped me re-file, and my CPA had to file a "DBA Abandonment" because once something is filed you can no longer make any edits. LegalZoom would not refund the $130 I paid for the filing service. This company has the poorest ethics I have ever experienced, not to mention they are incapable.

I went to Legal Zoom to assist with my LLC. They wrongfully submitted the documents with my state. I was in the process of purchasing two rental properties that i was going to put into the LLC. Legal Zoom kept charging me for 4 months, and no docs were filed! I had to go to the state and pay over $3000 to expedite the LLC originate so I wouldn't lose the properties. Not only did they register the wrong name for my LLC - causing me more time and money - for months they have refused to send me the physical items that were included in that package. I literally have sent over 20 emails and have been on hold and called several times explaining my situation. They just send me a link to my digital documents. That is not what I'm missing and requesting. I have sent pictures and explained ad nauseam with no avail.
