VERY dissatisfied with the service is an understatement. What a pain in the **. I am over two months in with no progress. And they will not issue a refund. Mixed communication methods and will not acknowledge their issues. No receipt to upload to verify; just an order number.

Jayson was really patient and nice. He'd listen to the issues I was having really well. He also seems to understand well what has caused my issue with checking my past orders. He is passionate and respectful. His delivery times to resolve the issue was also quick and really straightforward. I'd recommend Jayson's service to my friends and collegue for future references with LegalZoom.

Erica did an excellent job with clarifying the different packages that Legal Zoom offers. She also was very patient with me & helped me to understand different legal zoom options. She walked me through the whole process to make sure that there weren’t any errors which helped tremendously. Highly recommend.

Michelle got right to the point and for me that was very important. She didn't drop the ball and even reviewed with accuracy my company letting me know about the annual tax report. She even gave me the expiration date. It's very important for me not to lose my time on a call and I felt she really understood me and provided a perfect response for my needs.

Would strong suggesting using Legalzoom. They made the entire process very fast, very easy, and professional. I started by chatting online using the chat service, then I was called shortly after by a live person to help guide me. I had questions about everything, and my agent was able to answer all of them.

Last year I applied for an LLC in Phoenix Arizona. When I received a bill about registered agent, I asked them to remove themselves as a registered agent. I called them to let them know I was leaving Phoenix, Arizona. I did and asked to to close the account. I explained that I was no longer in Phoenix the business wasn't established, and I was leaving. Fine, now this year they took $489 from my business bank account in Atlanta, and I am no longer using their service. I explained that I had asked them to close the account because I wasn't there.

Yes. The agent that I spoke with was very easy to talk to. She has great communication skills. Also she did a great job at helping make the exact selections and choices that I wanted with getting up a new LLC, 10 out of 10 score, thanks again for helping me out because this situation has burdened my ability to do business for years now and now I feel that the path is clear, thank you.

Legal Zoom has been amazing start to finish. I highly recommend using them for all of your business service needs. Anytime I needed help I reached out to LZ, they were very prompt, professional, and went above and beyond to help out. Truly terrible experience. If you want to set up an LLC and be charged multiple times for hidden fees, Legal Zoom is perfect for you. The number of hidden fees, challenges with cancelling and not having the cancellations go through are shocking.

I’ve utilized LegalZoom for their legal services with satisfactory results, but it's crucial to spotlight the glaring disparity when it comes to their Tax Return and Advisory services. My experience with this particular service has been frustratingly poor, leading me to question the integrity of what's being offered as a value-add to their customers.

This was not our first encounter with Legal Zoom in setting structuring for a business. We were so impressed after our first encounter 18 years ago we decided to call on them this time. The customer service person assigned to us were so helpful, and knowledgeable in all our needs and in answering our question, we were even more impressed with their service than we were on the first occasion.

Very fast and easy, good people who can help with just about any situations you have. I called about a IRS problem and even though the person did not have the answer ready for me I was placed on a brief hold and came back with the information. All representatives from Legal Zoom are normally very nice. Today I spoke to Sarah; Sarah was very professional and knowledgeable about my concerns and inquiry about obtaining a 501 c3. She was also kind and sent a follow-up email with her contact information in the event that I needed additional support/information.

Legal Zoom helped me create an LLC for my lawn care business in a very timely fashion. They were able to expedite it so I could acquire my EIN number fast which I needed for my comp and payroll team to get me started. Legal zoom representatives are very prompt and professional and know what they are doing inside and out. 10 out of 10

I wanted a refund for a subscription I didn’t use. I was billed $49.99 for a subscription that I never used, I only get $600 a month, I’m looking for a job, but I have back issues. So I don’t make much. But it’s my fault because I wasn’t aware because I wasn’t looking at my bank statement properly. But I was hoping I could get at least 1/2 my $ back. But I love Legal Zoom and all they have done for me.

Paid $478 for a DBA And received an email asking for my signature immediately after purchase. I signed it and returned it within two minutes of receiving it. A week later I received a notification that I They still needed my signature. When I called the sales rep apologized for them, dropping the ball on their end. Too expensive and not a reputable business. Stay away from these people. You can do it a lot cheaper for yourself on your state's website.

If you want to purchase their tax service, make sure you do not purchase it around the date of file. I purchased the service on 2APR23 for 2023 taxes, but my subscription expired on 1APR24 and they didn't file my taxes and now I'm out 948 dollars for nothing. Not customer friendly. Find someone else.

Importantly, when I conveyed my frustration around a billing matter, I wanted to say that the people at LegalZoom were very professional in the way they handled me. Each person I talked to was courteous, and empathetic l as we worked our way through the process.

Later, when the matter was raised to a resolution agent at LegalZoom, she too was courteous, professional and results oriented. She took the time to not only address the current matter but looked deeper into my account and found more ways for me to be efficient when using LegalZoom. I would say that LegalZoom will continue to get my business and they have further endeared me towards the use of their products and services.

I received an email about updating information for my business. She was able to walk me through all the steps and point out on my screen which drop down was needed to the next step. I'm pretty bad with computers and she was also patient and understanding of this as well.

If I could leave zero stars I would. This "company" is trash. They were supposed to file a DBA and an EIN and it took more than three weeks for them to tell me that my application was rejected because they didn't pay the filing fee. I have tried getting a refund and of course it's one obstacle after another. Warning: Get your money back before 30 days or they won't refund you! I did my DBA and EIN on my own and it took less than an hour. These guys are a joke.

I am mind numbed. Total 100% Legal Zoom is a sign and a symbol of sociopathic capitalism doing its thing. I would not be surprised at this point if Legal Zoom Has an active role in the Genocides in Palestine, Congo and Sudan. My $900 that they essentially stole from me for services not rendered could have gone to feed families in need in areas on our planet that the parasites of the world such as Legal Zoom are taking from. If you care about your honest hard earned money as I do as a RN, then do not proceed with this head of the hydra of sociopathic capitalism.

I used Legalzoom for few occasion, with my divorce once, also with opening two business. The first two times was ok, the last time, I felt scammed. They let me sign on page that I need legal zoom to be my guardian basically and without me knowing, they charge me 350$ every year for few years, and I was not aware of it, until one day I find out. Shame for LEGALZOOM. SCAMZOOM.

Legalzoom sent me the wrong paperwork to get notarized. Being completely unaware, I got them notarized and sent to legalzoom. They accepted the wrong paperwork and sent it to the government. Several weeks later they emailed me the correct paperwork without acknowledging the mistake. I chatted with a few people who were oblivious to the problem. They refused to refund me stating they already sent the articles to the government. I repeatedly asked how they got everything wrong and didn't double check to make sure everything was right. They never answered only apologized for the mix up.

I got my LLC through LegalZoom and it was extremely expensive but overall an easy process. So I decided to purchase the “complete dissolution” package when I decided to dissolve the LLC. However I wanted to make sure it had everything I needed included so I reached out to customer support on chat and asked if the package included both IRS and state and was told that it did. I purchased it at that point and waited weeks to get the paperwork and when I did- I noticed they only filed a $30 state filing of dissolution.

DO NOT RECOMMEND. PAID in total $600 and paid $99 for expedite processing - filled in December 29, and now it is March 27 and I still don't have my AIN number here is what happened: Moved states, so it was easier to make a new company with the same name than just move it, they filled the previous one with no issues, so I didn't anticipate any trouble since all the information are same just the new address. However, for some reason, they filled my business which has photography in my name as a catering service. We fixed that later then nothing was still happening after many calls everything should be fine and the worker on the end ended the phone saying "And by the way I would love to try your food!" I almost lost my mind..

I paid Legalzoom $600 dollars for my LLC then I was informed I had to pay $250 more just for registration!!! I called back almost a year later just to be told I don’t have an LLC, just a trademark!!! WHAAAT! I’m really trying to get a lawyer involved!!! I went through the official site. Took the steps and I can’t find anything in my profile at all.

LegalZoom is a SCAM!!! They take your money, give faulty advice and DON'T tell you about charges for non-services. LegalZoom charged me $299 for being a registered agent with my LLC, which is being dissolved. They did not inform me of this charge and when I asked for a refund, they first said they could offer me a discount on their service (HAHA) and then said basically "too bad but we will cancel it for next time", stating the state of Florida requires this because they are the listed agent. What?? Steer clear of this "business".

I used their formation services and authorized a $399 and $199 filing service in December, they then started billing me for $99 month tax service that is not cancellable for entire year that I never signed up for. After multiple emails responded to while I continued to rack up additional $99 month charges their escalated customer support team still refused to cancel/refund or provide me with copy of the user experience they claim to have received my consent on.

I dissolved my company using LegalZoom's services. 12-months later I received a charge for $1,188 for annual tax services. So if you use LegalZoom to dissolve a company, LegalZoom will still charge you for services like tax and accounting that you no longer need on an annual auto-renewal basis. They hope that you don't know these services need to be canceled separately and they can collect another 12-months fees for services that can never be used because the company doesn't exist, a company that they directly received money for to dissolve. In addition, there is no clear path to cancel these services, you must phone the call center and have them do this for you manually. The company will not refund the money and the service is tied to the dissolved entity.

Legal Zoom, has had my paperwork to start a Non-profit organization since 2021, they were able to incorporate my business that year, later on down the line they were supposed to deal with the IRS; After all those years THEY SCREWED UP MY EIN with the IRS "1023EZ" form, and my application, was denied. You Mean After 3 years of having my EIN number, incorporation in Delaware, they did not do the job of checking again the ein number even if I had not caught it. IT WAS THEIR JOB TO TRIPLE CHECK, even my mistakes. They did not, did not, did not, did not recheck.

Legalzoom will charge you for an annual subscription that you were never given notice about and then charge you for the entire year. We got fearmongered into using the tax service, but were told on the phone that we could cancel. What we're not told was it was a year long contract and we would be automatically renewed without any notice. We did not sign a contract or agree to these terms, yet here we are committed. The tax service is a joke. They were not helpful and did not do anything they claim to. I learned more on my own. When we contacted legalzoom, we were told we would not get any money back. Run far away from any additional services they offer - you will be roped in without any way out. I can say without hesitation I will not use legalzoom for any other legal items I need.

Legalzoom has been nothing short of a nightmare. I've spent over $500 on services that I thought would make life easier, yet somehow here we are... "Total Compliance" is something I assumed would help make sure my business is in... Total compliance... With state and federal laws, but it doesn't.. That information (after already paying $199) would be an additional $99 for the "Total Compliance Report". This website has not provided a single, tangible benefit to my company, other than filing the LLC. Another huge issue is not being able to look at any company documents. Every single document I try to open has the same error message EVERY SINGLE TIME, "Oops, looks like something is broken. We are working on it!". My experience with LegalZoom has been an absolute nightmare (expensive, confusing, stressful, waste of time/money). Avoid like the plague.

Legal Zoom has horrible customer service. They are a subscription service, so beware. Even after you stop using them months and years later, they will charge you their yearly subscription fee and not notify you by email or otherwise. You could paying for a service you are not using. I haven't used them in 2 years and just accidentally noticed they charged me their yearly subscription fee of $199 at the end of the 2023 in December. No phone notification. No email notification. Absolutely no notification of the charge.

If you are new to forming an LLC and are looking to hire a company that will educate you along the way, do not hire LegalZoom. They will gladly take your money (lots of it) over & over without explaining. As soon as I noticed a charge on my account that I was not expecting, I reached out to LegalZoom to cancel the service and refund the charge. The charge went through on January 21st. I started calling as soon as I noticed the charge on January 25th. I took all the steps the first agent told me to take to get the refund. I called back, as she instructed, when all the steps were complete. The second agent I spoke with told me that she had no authority to complete a request made to the first agent but that she did see where the first agent promised a refund.

Customer service Alma is very helpful in helping me set up my LLC in Houston TX. She is patient and knows what need to be done to start a new company. When a small problem occurs, she took the time to fix the problem in a timely manner. I would definitely will refer my friends to try LegalZoom.

For all start-ups considering incorporating, I must say Legal Zoom has made all my transactions very easy to use and understand. Paid LegalZoom to file my dba in California. They claim it was submitted to the county on Jan 5. On Jan 24th, I contacted the county and they had not received anything. According to LZ it was within the county’s processing time. According to the county, they process dba the same day received, and they received nothing so far. I went online, filed my dba myself and had it processed with 2 hours. LZ was a total rip-off and did absolutely nothing.

Sherwin ** helped me with my new LLC. After I submit a new LLC, he called me to let me know what I still need to apply for and what he would recommend to get. I appreciate that he did not pressure me to buy the services that I do not want or need. Good man. I would highly recommend Legal Zoom to all my friends and family.

Legalzoom conducts a very deceptive business practice. I trusted them to help me operate my business and instead they stole $598 from me. BE WARY OF THEIR REGISTERED AGENT FEES. They charged TWO of my LLC's that were ALREADY DISSOLVED, when they did zero work on them. ATTN LEGALZOOM: BE CUSTOMER-CENTRIC, NOT FEE-CENTRIC. They should do a little due diligence FOR THE CUSTOMER BEFORE they charge those fees to see if they're even active businesses. They have the systems to do it. Just search and CHECK BEFORE YOU CHARGE! You would avoid these kinds of reviews. When I tried to connect with them to resolve, they hid behind policies. I am beyond disappointed in a company I trusted. Is $598 worth it to create this kind of experience for customers? Is it worth it to create a livid detractor for your business? Do better Legalzoom, your customers deserve better.

Just don't use this company! Deceptive and dishonest. 2 days ago I used this company to set up my LLC. During the process of ordering my LLC paperwork, their website guided me through a series of questions (mostly trying to sell me things). They use a lot of fancy words and say things like "state requirement" or "make sure you are in compliance" to try and scare you to purchase additional items.

Updated on 01/18/2024: I contacted LegalZoom on the seventeenth again and requested a refund and was told that I did not qualify due to the package already shipping and that they already filed my paperwork. I asked for the tracking number again and was told that they didn't have one. Then I was told that they were retrieving my package. I asked how could they retrieve a package without a tracking number. I was told that it was a different department.

Purchased a Comprehensive Estate Plan from them which included one year of amendments. After completing my documents eight months later I ask that they Cancel the plan and for them to make absolutely sure that there would not be ANY ADDITIONAL CHARGES! One year after initial purchase Legal Zoom charged my credit card $199.00 despite my requested cancellation. Worse... they refused to refund after being confronted with their unauthorized charge. Complete SCAM. Stay Away from these scam artists!!!

I signed up for Legal Zoom's LLC package in 2017, making them my RA and registering my business with the state. From 2019 to 2023 they stopped paying my annual report to the GOV (treasury) but continue to collect my annual membership for $399. I didn't find out until recently after visiting my new accountant and login to the GOV website. We found out I owe my state $300 in back payments for a Annual Report ($75 per year). So for Four year Legal Zoom never called me, email me or send a letter in mail to notice me. When I logged in to their portal, there were no red notice or warnings to notice me of this major issues. My business was almost shut down and I was completely in the dark.

After trying to cancel my subscription because they could not help me with anything all year, they said I could not cancel the personal agent. Then I asked to speak with someone else and they told me, "Someone will call you the next day!" No one called me! Also, be aware, if you call, they are all agents from a different country! They don't even live in the US and they are taking care of our business paperwork? I will never do work with LegalZoom again and they will not get 1cent from me again.

I would highly recommend looking elsewhere for registered agent services. They charge a lot and do not add much value. Furthermore, I have been charged erroneous fees that they refuse to refund, upwards of $500. I do not understand how a company can get away with operating in this manner here in the US.

We paid Legal Zoom to file our paperwork to form a nonprofit corporation. They filed the state compliance forms but failed to file IRS paperwork which was included with the package. Customer service was unhelpful and blamed.

Tried to start a new LLC through them and they couldn't complete after 6 months of trying. The representative paperwork they had me sign 3 times and printed my name once. I sign and print my name very clearly and you can read every letter. Every time they kept me signing the same form saying that the signature was not clear which wasn't true. I asked them what to do because that's how I sign my name and can't change it. Kept going through the same thing and finally just asked for a refund because they didn't and couldn't complete the job. Because it's been over 4 months they don't want to refund me even though it's their fault. Highway robbery, had to call my credit card to get my refund. Unacceptable. Don't use them. Go through another company.

I was charged a recurring fee with no notification except on my credit card statement. The fee was $199. My account has been inactive for over a year. I received no services or goods. When I called Legal Zoom the day I was charged, I was told by their agent it was too late. BEWARE!!!!! This is a very deceptive business practice. I am writing this review to warn others. I will continue to fight this charge and spread the word.

That had been received if I had known this person was suing us. I could have gotten an attorney right then. Since no one had nofity us from Legal Zoom this person went right into court and got a 30k judgment against us....If I had known from legal zoom I could have stopped the lawsuit. Since I never knew about the suit he wins. Now my company is shut down due to legal zoom. Buyer beware. These people are not attonery and don't represent you in any fashion. Don't do business here

I used this product once, I didn't really care for the assistance and feedback I received so when my subscription came up for renewal I canceled it. When I checked my bank account several days later I noticed the charge was taken out and applied. When I called, I ended up speaking to a great customer service representative. She helped put in my request for a refund, but today I got an email that says, "Sorry we won't refund you because you technically canceled before the date of renewal." So they can't return the withdrawal. I do not understand how you can confirm that I canceled this product in writing and will not refund my money. I have seen reviews here that obviously this is not true. As I told the representative I knew I should have taken a screenshot of the cancelation...

The initial salesman was great? Once I paid for everything, it all went downhill. I understand processing paperwork may take some time, however I was told within 48 hours I would have my EIN number. I was told that for over 2 weeks!!! I had to track down a VP just to get a response. The escalation team acted as if they would help me. So I sent an invoice for the amount of time I had to waste and lost revenue. I get a response 15 minutes before the escalation individual was done his shift. I called because of the vague email stating I would get a refund. No answer as to my EIN, no answer as to the status of my LLC. Just a cowardly vague response about a refund. This is not over! Don’t waste your time, do it on your own. Lawsuit coming!!

I thought I could trust LegalZoom because they completed a previous order without incident. So I put in an order for a DBA on June 16, 2023. It is now November 29, 2023. I called them months ago to ask why they didn't update my order after I sent them signed documents. I remember the guy on phone saying he'd update my order. It still hasn't been updated. Recently, I've contacted LegalZoom three times to find out what stage my order is in. Each time, they promised to give me an email update within a certain amount of time. The emails are not in my inbox. Maybe they somehow didn't make it to my inbox, but it's more likely LegalZoom never sent them. One customer service employee told me I couldn't get a refund because my order was over 60 days old. I'm fed up and feel ripped off. Never trust LegalZoom.

I had the same terrible experience as Edward in which I asked for help with a DBA. They told me it was in process. They asked for additional forms in which you have to do all the work they don’t do any of the work. It is just as well to do it on your own, in addition, they charge me 7.99 a month for “legal experts” help which I was not aware I was signing up for and never used. When I realized I was being charged, I tried to cancel online which is not possible, tried to cancel over chat, which is not possible and the only way to cancel is to call their 800 number and I waited 15 minutes before somebody picked up the phone and canceled and would not even cancel a pending charge for the upcoming month. I would never use the service again.

Alexis was awesome. Help me out with what I needed to do and learn from getting my business moving. She was definitely knowledgeable and everything that she was talking about. She help me get the final tax ID number that I needed for the state. She did a great job, I would recommend her to anybody for help.

Setup was quick online, followed by an immediate phone call to finalize and ask if there were any additional questions. Very fast and easy. Great support, easy to set up webpage, email, etc. I recommend this to others.

I called Legal Zoom and within the hour had my new LLC set up, all my questions asked, felt comfortable and confident with the process. I highly recommend! They’ll say it takes 15 minutes but it doesn’t. Be prepared to spend 45 minutes or so because you will have questions. It’s worth it and it’s done! I had the rep stay on the phone with me and fill out the forms for me. That was easiest and best because I did have many questions along the way.

Have to give credit where credit is due. They came back after my review and righted their wrong by refunding the bogus charge. They are not scam artists after all, but they need to train their customer service people much better.

LegalZoom provided me with a faulty license not accepted by my Customer(s). I was forced to file an amendment (and paid the fees to expedite given the lost time and ability to continue business operations) which I have yet to receive. They are in breach of contract, have essentially stolen my funds at this point and have no means of making contact less a call center staffed by incompetent and argumentative personnel. I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, FBI and if you have had a similar experience, please feel free to make contact as this seems to be the norm for "services" and "customer satisfaction".

Legal Zoom contacted me today and has agreed to refund me for the order I didn’t receive. I’m very thankful they chose to and am happy we got this issue resolved because I hate bad reviews. I was very upset yesterday but happy we resolved the issue.

I filed for an expedited non-profit corporation in California. I paid $900 for the expedited service. I filed in December of 2022. I still do not have the non-profit. I paid $200 extra for the filing in California and having them represent me and notify me. The first 6 months I received my EIN and I was told the non-profit was in progress. After four months, I received an email stating there was additional paper required which I filled out. Please note LegalZoom only offers directions, you do the work. I filled out the forms, created the Articles of Incorporation and the by-laws.

Legal Zoom stole $299 from me in the month of October 2023 from a debit card that had expired in April 2023. After several calls, they told me that they were going to return the money in 3 to 5 days, but it couldn't be done because the card expired. I called again and they told me that they were going to send it to me by mail, more than 10 days passed and nothing. I called again and they told me that there is no refund pending that the refunds policy is before 30 days after payment, which indicates that I claimed on the same day that the money was stolen from my card and they told me it is 30 days from the first time I made the transaction in 2021. Is this serious, thieves, I do not recommend to anyone. What they do is collect money and they do nothing for you. They are useless. They are garbage.

I was charged $280 for a renewal of subscription for compliance review. I was never notified that the subscription was coming up for renewal as I would have cancelled it. I called the day I was charged and requested a refund as the business is no longer operating. I was told that they have an ongoing problem with customers being charged for subscription renewals by the representative I spoke to and she assured me I would be getting the refund. Two days later I received an email denying the refund request because I did not request a refund within 30 days.

Nobody bothers to answer the phone or chat during business hours. I called every day during the weekday, had to listen to their stupid phone music for hours and nobody bothered to answer the phone. Are they still in business?

My wife has a LegalZoom account where she filed for her LLC. As part of it we selected the Legal Zoom Tax Plan which charges $100 a month. A few months after creating the account we realized we wouldn't need the Tax Plan and called in to cancel. We were told that the terms and conditions of the Tax Plan only allow them to not renew the plan but cannot cancel. So now we're stuck paying $100 a month for the next 7 months.

It truly has been most difficult to set up our nonprofit. We should have gone with a local attorney. LZ directions are difficult to follow, and heaven help one if one has to contact them! It’s as if they do not wish to bother with you AFTER they have your money. I am most discouraged.

I purchased my LLC for my small business through Legal Zoom 10/2021. I selected the option of having Legal Zoom perform as my Registered Agent as part of my LLC package which cost over $800. I wish I would've known better than to select such a thing, because you could list anyone (even yourself) as a registered agent of your business. Anyway, up until now I have allowed LZ to collect their $299 annual fee, with the explanation that they cannot cancel the service until I file someone else as my Registered Agent and show proof.

I paid LegalZoom to file a dissolution of the company they helped me set up. After several months, they concluded I needed to file my annual report with the SOS which I paid them to do. Once that was complete, they never filed the dissolution paperwork despite many assurances. It sat until I needed to file another annual report. I paid them to file the report and after almost six months, they have not filed it. So now I have two outstanding orders. I decided to write this review because I have been waiting for 30 minutes to talk to someone.

A manager from the escalation team reached out and was able to help solve the issue which I have to commend LegalZoom for. They did the right thing in my experience which I feel obligated to share.

I hired LegalZoom for a simple name change for my kids. When we got to the courthouse they said we couldn't use the forms because they did them wrong. After telling us how to do it right we called legalzoom and asked for them to fix it so we could finish. They lied and said 2 forms are needed for 2 kids. So they can double charge. The city has stated that both kids are one family and should be on 1 form. They refuse to do it. And refuse to refund. Lacking knowledge and lying to get additional money from customer as opposed to helping them. Worst customer service I had had all year from any business. They double charged me and then did it wrong.

She was prompt to answer, had answers to all my questions and exhibited a thorough understanding of the process. She pointed me to the correct place to find all the information I needed and gave me good timelines relative to completion of my project.

He was very clear in communicating and gave to me much clarity as to what to expect. I like that he kept feedback of my inquiries brief, but very clear. On 9/24/23 I purchased LegalZoom for around $500 and almost a month Iater… I have not received any documents. My LLC is in complete limbo. My contract is now in jeopardy and all that I have been working towards is now at risk. I call multiple times a week and I have not been able to get legitimate answers on my business status. I requested to speak to managers several times and I am told that they will call me back in an hour. I cannot recommend this service to anyone as it has been painful and I am truly being given the runaround. This was supposed to be a simplified process but it has just been frustrating. I see that others have had success but they definitely dropped the ball with me in a major way. Totally disgusted with this service.

I started an LLC through Legal Zoom in 2022, and decided shortly after that starting a business wasn't the right path for me at the time. I dissolved my LLC through Legal Zoom, and verbally requested to cancel ALL services and subscriptions. A year later, last week, I received an auto-payment of $249 for Registered Agent services. After calling Legal Zoom to request a refund and explanation, only then did they complete the cancellation of my Registered Agent services, despite requesting to cancel everything a year ago. When I asked for a full refund, they said they could only refund me 30%. I refused this and requested to speak to a supervisor.

I've encountered a frustrating inconsistency in the information provided by various customer service representatives. They each gave me different delivery dates, and one of them claimed to have opened a case with the promise of a follow-up email within 24-48 hours. Unfortunately, I haven't received any follow-up, and this experience has left me extremely disappointed with the customer service.

In 2022, my business journey began, and I found myself in the unfamiliar territory of not knowing what a registered agent was. Trusting in LegalZoom's expertise, I followed their advice and decided to have them serve as my registered agent, even though I initially inquired about the possibility of being my own agent. This choice came with a $300 annual fee.

Bought the new all-encompassing business package. They missed filing one permit and the city quickly shut me down. LegalZoom did not step up to make it right and instead ran away from the problem. I lost my entire family savings due to their incompetence without even an attempt to make it right with me. I had to move six hours away becauseoif the embarrassment in the community. Avoid using LegalZoom and don’t assume they will be there when things go south.

After using LegalZoom because I thought it would time effective and cost efficient I created an LLC. Since then I have been charged for every extra you can think of that is needed and and some I didn’t know were needed. As I am not an expert, fairly sure some are not needed, but you are not dealing with a live person, you are checking boxes you may not be qualified to check. Now I consistently get emails and respond to them but continue to get follow up emails as if no one received the response. When you call to get to the bottom of their urgent emails if you have already created an order (aka - already paid for the service) you will wait no less then 30 on hold bc they have very few people servicing the clients that have paid for a service.

I just had the worst experience with them. They have zero customer care... After only using the service once 6 months ago, they rejected my request of cancelling the auto-renewal because I didn't file within 30 days in advance, which was NOT clearly specified when I signed up to it. All attendees showed zero interest in providing a solution and simply ignored the fact that the service has not being used for awhile. I feel companies that fail to provide the basic of customer care do not deserve their customer, and also this clearly reflects on their overall service level and how different departments will treat their customers.

I dissolved my LLC in 2021 and notified LegalZoom. Now..2 years later they are saying I owe them for RA Services. I received an email on July 15th 2021 from LZ confirming the cancelation. Now they are telling me...TWO YEARS later that they can't cancel to RA Service unless I provide proof. I'm not going through this again because THEY are incompetent. I'm sick and tired of companies that make it virtually impossible to cancel a service.

I use Legal Zoom to build a LLC. At the time of my checkout it was $249 and everything was fine, after that they charge me two times that amount without my permission, I did talk with them and nothing solve yet. They told me to wait and that everything was explained on the small letters on the bottom of the page, really that is not fine to hide or make this like a trap for customers. Why?

I started my dba in May. It's mid June now and still not active. It's stuck in the processing stage. Need more info. 2 weeks I went to the county clerk to get a notary. They won't accept anyone but them and I filed directly there. I called to tell them I overnighted the pkg. Man said they will call Friday and process it. Then he did not. The next guy who answered said it might been his day off and he can do anything till Tuesday.

My receipt from Legal Zoom says 10 Membership Certificates are included. After 5 calls to customer service (the 4th of which was answered by someone who could not speak English well enough to know that I was telling her that I could not understand her), I was told that the receipt was a mistake and those certificates were not included, but I could purchase them if I wanted.

Charged $119 for a DBA, spelled the name wrong, then required purchase of PREMIUM DBA for $129 to correct. Promised refund of BOTH amounts. Now won't refund the promised premium fee because they "don't do things for free". Worse, DBA available online in State for $10. Does Legalzoom not understand the law?

I applied for a DBA last May 2022. I was able to send my NOTARIZED DOCUMENT last AUGUST 2022. I sent a couple and every time I would receive an e-mail that something is wrong.. So I call and after the 4th time, an agent finally pointed out I am missing a signature where others never mentioned. It's already JUNE 2023 and we’re DOING EVERYTHING FROM THE BEGINNING AGAIN. I’ve been wanting to cancel this process months ago but I don’t see how to cancel.

I thought LegalZoom would be the easiest way to file documents for a new entity. Turns out I was wrong about that. I have had to make about 10 phone calls only to continually be told that they'll have to call me back. They placed my documents on hold and nobody can tell me why. I paid for expedited service and it's been about 3 weeks. So much for turning to the 'professionals' for this. Completely unacceptable level of service. The lack of communication, their lack of diligence and their laxed attitude about my legal documents is irresponsible at best.

This company completely stinks. I've been trying cancel my service with them for over 4 months. After hours and hours on the phone the lady said we can't cancel because we are required to have it because we are a business. Since I have other businesses I know for a fact this is not true. She said she had to contact the government to see if I could cancel.. lol.. After 2 days she finally called back and said she would cancel but she never did so I reversed the charges on my account. Then they told the credit card company that I never canceled. So now I'm stuck with a $299.00 bill and apparently there's nothing I can do. They have free range to my credit card and can charge me $299 every year and I can't cancel. Screw you Legalzoom. I wish I could sue you.

Before you investment in this service ask all your questions. When I call them, they never call me back. I scheduled a few appointments on their site, and they never show up or call me. I call them and I don't get anywhere. I just met someone at a business networking event this past week and she had trouble with them.

My husband formed our LLC through LegalZoom in Aug 2018. Up until this point, we hadn’t used them for anything additional than being listed as our registered agent and the compliance calendar for $299/year. Fast forward to Sept 2022 - we filed an LLC amendment with LegalZoom to change the name and address of the business. They state their standard turnaround time for these types of filings are about 30 days.
