This made it such a hassle-free experience that I didn't hesitate to recommend them to several friends.

Legal Zoom is awful, plain thieves. I paid close to $1,000 for an LLC when I actually needed a PLLC and even though I fully explained the nature of my business (mental health counseling private practice) at no point did they tell me a PLLC is the required. When I tried to close my account with them after I explained the above, they kept repeating themselves going around in circles.

I've utilized LegalZoom's services twice now, the first time to obtain my LLC and the second for another business endeavor. LegalZoom has been exceptionally helpful and responsive at every turn.

LegalZoom charged me $499 per business for registered agent services after I had already changed my registered agent and they were no longer listed as agent of record. Previously the fee was $299, so not only was the charge higher, it was for services not being provided. The moment I saw the charge, I called. The representative confirmed that future renewals would be canceled but refused to issue a refund, even though LegalZoom is not my registered agent and I did not authorize renewal under these circumstances.

Terrible customer service. I paid for the expedited service. Then received info of paperwork that I have to submit to the IRS. This will add days to getting my Ein. I called and was basically told, "Sorry about your luck."

I hired Legal Zoom to create a LLC. That was fine. However, three months later, Legal Zoom started charging me $9.99 for a subscription I NEVER signed up for. I contacted the company via email but received a notice that email has been disabled and I need to "chat". Well, an hour later, I still wasn't able to resolve the issue. I waited online for more than 30 minutes for supervisor to help me. I finally contacted my credit card company and did a chargeback for the unauthorized charges and also blocked them from ever charging me again. It was a horrible customer service experience and I'll never use them again.

I have been unable to revise my plan since the day I purchased! Customer service is not responsive. They are also able to see everything I put on my trust, which is so unsafe if you have an address or any personal info there! I have been calling for over a month now and they are unable to fix my issue.

I’m extremely disappointed with my recent experience using LegalZoom. I called yesterday and paid for a Statement of Information to be filed with a rush on it. I clearly explained to the representative that I had already contacted the Secretary of State (SOS), and they informed me that filing the Statement of Information should lead to reinstatement of my business.

Absolute Scam — They Take Your Money and Vanish! LegalZoom is a complete joke. They happily took my money, then their damn website froze right after payment. I couldn’t log in, couldn’t access anything I paid for. When I finally got someone on the phone, the so-called “customer service” agent kept repeating the same useless line: “Call your bank for a refund.” Then they hung up on me like it was nothing. This company is nothing but a money-grab operation hiding behind a fancy website. No help, no responsibility, no respect for customers. They steal your money and disappear. LegalZoom should be ashamed — worst experience ever, zero stars if I could.

Huge scam and rip off. Absolutely worst customer service of my life. Hidden charges. Frequent cancellations. No follow through. Completely stressful. You will never actually get help from customer service. It says unlimited free attorney consults but they cancel all of them. Customer service is a bunch of incompetent morons.

I used LegalZoom to file my LLC. They provided all services as paid for except they registered me as a corporation not llc. Upon contact I was told it was because I purchased their economy package and to make changes would have to purchase a new package. They don't keep any original paperwork so I have no backup. My registered agent has me listed as a LLC so this is 100% on Legal Zoom. I am out over $400, the so called economy package, and they won't make it right. Stay away from Legal Zoom.

Difficult to cancel subscription and won’t get reimbursed even after you cancel. Cunning management. Subscribed to 6-month plan and tried to cancel it before the next renewal. Never used it and still got charged.

While they advertise simplicity, affordability, and support, what I actually received was a set of generic, one-size-fits-all documents that left major gaps and failed to address my specific situation in any meaningful way.
