    Product received was not even close to the one pictured in the catalogue. The product received lacked any color and it had two fractured cracks. I sent it back.     This is the second Titanium atomic watch that have purchased from you. The first one was in 2007. It is still working and keeping excellent time. I did need a new battery in 2015. Yes, that is correct, it worked for about 8 years on the original battery! Now I will have two watches, one for a spare! Hope for another 8 years without a battery change.

    First I tried to order a watch online from an advertisement in Auto Week. The website was slow, hung many times and I was never able to complete my transaction. So I called the toll free number. It took several times to connect correctly to give call center (FYI - I manage the technical end of a global Call Center). Then after I ordered the watch the "Salesman" tried to sell me the replacement plan. I said no, he continued to pressure me, I said no again, he still continued. Finally he stop and then tried to sell me some other jewelry. Again I said no. He continued to push. Then he tried to sell me on joining some buyers club. Again I said no, again he continued to push. He said almost all of our customers come back and buy again. I told him "After this phone call I will never call your company again." He became very curt and finally finished the call quickly.

    My ordering experience went just fine. The delivery time was also fine. I am very pleased with the Helenite pendant and stud earrings I received. I am disappointed with the Ethiopian opal anniversary ring and stud earrings. The ones I received looked nothing like the picture or written description I saw. The picture showed brilliant green, blue, red and yellow colors in the opals. A written description also stated that the Ethiopian opals were known for their brilliant colors. The opals I received are basically a milky white with a little bit of yellow. They were not at all what I was expecting.

    I just received my Hybrid Watch and was going to set the time as instructed and when I went to pull out the main stem on the watch it was stuck and then gave way and the entire stem came out of the watch. It went back in but you could not set time or even get it to make the second hand move. I have sent it back to be replaced which I hope happens, because it looked like a great watch that I would enjoy for many years to come.

    If you to decide to stick me with the watch then fine I will report about it on the internet which is where I heard of your products in the first place. If there are any questions about the watch please do not hesitate to call me and I will try to explain it to the best of my abilities. I truly do not know why the stem came out. After it would not come out I released it and then pulled again and that's when it gave way and simply pulled all the way out of the watch. I was not pulling that hard either because I was just trying to get it to come out one click so I could set the time. Please let me know if there is any problem with this.

    I was totally satisfied with the phone purchase up to the part where the salesperson began trying to aggressively sell me the kitchen sink. I became a bit irritated after I informed the person that I was not buying anything else and needed to hurry with the closing of the deal as I needed to go someplace and he just kept going on and on and on. I came close to canceling the phone order. I am sure he was only doing what he was told to do and was protecting his job, so I am upset with his supervisors for having him lean on customers so hard. When a customer says they do not want to buy anything else then the salesperson should be instructed to skip over the routine sales pitch.     I called to order this time, even though I usually order online. The representative I spoke with - Brad - was great. He helped get me the best deal, signed me up for membership, and got me a warranty for the two rings I was ordering. Some technical error had happened where an order placed a week ago that I had wanted 2-day delivery had not shipped, and I was down to 2 days before leaving for a trip where the item was to be taken along as a present for my dad.     I am right now very upset. I had placed order# ** on 09/09/16 and explained to the sales rep that I wanted to see if I can have 1 item (the men's jacket) shipped extra fast, AS I AM TRAVELING SAT 09/17 OVERSEAS TO VISIT MY PARENTS AND THIS WAS A PRESENT FOR MY DAD. The rep said he had to check with his supervisor, and then told me for an additional $15 I would have 2DAY delivery for that jacket. I was not worried about the backordered item and told him that. When I wanted to check after placing the order if he can use my other shipping address on file, at my work at State Farm, he said that is not possible DUE TO THE SPLIT ORDER. Now it looks like both items are shipping whenever the 2nd item (backordered necklace) is available, in several weeks.

    I paid the $15 for nothing and the rep didn't seem to have done anything to process this order according to what I was trying to accomplish. He talked me into the platinum membership and waived the regular shipping cost as an incentive, but charged the additional $15 for the 'fast delivery'. I have been ordering from Stauer for years and lots of items and I am very upset and disappointed. I would like this fixed. If you send the jacket out tomorrow 9/15 with an overnight delivery I could have it prior to my departure. I hope you will make this possible.

    I've been a customer of Stauer for over four years and have always been pleased with the quality and value I've received from the company. That seems to have changed. I received an offer for a free pair of tanzanite earrings with any $50 purchase. My wife likes tanzanite, and free is good, so I saw an opportunity to surprise her with not one, but two spur-of-the-moment gifts. I dutifully went online, found an item that I knew she would love, and placed the order referenced above.

    When the package arrived yesterday, I received the earrings, but learned that the main item I wanted, a Thai Orchid necklace, was cancelled. The earrings were still free, but I was charged $19.95 shipping. I have always considered your shipping charges quite high, but given the overall value to cost of ordering from your company, felt it evened out most of the time. However, $19.95 to ship a tiny pair of free earrings was just over the top.

    So, I contacted customer service. I expected some form of apology for the problem with the order, some explanation beyond "we don't sell that anymore", some acknowledgement that, as a customer, I had been shortchanged. All I got was, "So, you don't want the earrings?" I might have expected an offer to go find a different item of $50 or more which would be shipped at no additional shipping charge, thus fulfilling the original scope and intent of the offer. Actually, communication as soon as the inventory problem was recognized making this kind of replacement offer or the option to cancel before all the inconvenience to all concerned would have been the appropriate response. No such luck. I did get an offer to refund half the shipping, or I could return the earrings for a refund of the shipping.

    I have opted for the latter. It means that I am left with a disappointed wife, whom I had primed with the news that a surprise was coming in the mail for her, but the main reason I have chosen to just reverse the entire order was that at no time did the Stauer representative acknowledge that the company's actions were anything less than exactly what I had ordered and paid for.

    This was a very disappointing experience from a company I have enjoyed doing business with in the past. At this point I will be opting out of all communication from Stauer and have no intention of buying from you again. It seems that when orders go well, Stauer does just fine, but when there is a problem of any kind, your customer service falls far short of the mark.

    I called on Sunday and placed order for a size 7 ring and said it several times. When I got order confirmation I saw that the order placed was for a size 8. I immediately called customer service and there was no answer. So I called the sales number to get order corrected and sales agent said only customer service could correct order. When I finally was able to get in touch with customer service, I was told the order was shipping as a size 8 and probably would not be corrected. Sales agent said I would not receive order for 2 or 3 weeks, implying it would take a week or so to process.

    I can't understand why this could be corrected sooner. Just send me the correct size and I will send back the incorrect size. Please do something or I promise to never do business with Stauer again. The ring is for a special occasion so if it takes too long to resolve I will send the ring back for a refund and never recommend your product to anyone!!! Not happy.

    Well before my sister's birthday, I used a new catalog to try and order the Raindrop Pendant and chain for her, being quite ill in the hospital at that time by the way. I was told my first choice was not available and so I made a 2nd choice for her from the same catalog of a turquoise necklace and earrings and was under the impression that I had received a quick confirmation of that order.     I bought a watch from Stauer, and it was a good watch at a good price. Then I tried to order an item of jewelry, and I got this sales pitch about becoming a platinum member. It took me some time to stop her from pitching this and to say I didn't want to shop for many things, just a birthday gift. At that point she said the item is back ordered and would take beyond the birthday I wanted it for. However, if I became a platinum member, they had some in stock to send me right away.     I’m semi-pleased with Stauer Jewelry. It’s very easy to get a hold of them on the telephone. I purchase usually using the catalog and sometimes find items and needs I'm looking for. Mostly I’ve been happy with the quality of the items I purchased except for the last couple of times. I bought a set for my wife for Valentine’s Day and it didn’t live up to my expectations. My recent review on Consumer Affairs about this company made the CS Person Addy to communicate with me and solve the issue through the Consumer Affairs portal.     I am very satisfied with this experience. I am still at a loss to understand why my previous communications remained unanswered and I doubt it very much that there may be a technical issue with their mail server. I don’t know why it is so high for something as small as a tiny package. I could understand maybe $4 or $5 but it's $12.95 to ship a package that to me is just a few ounces. I don’t understand that. Another thing is the shipping cost keeps me from buying more. I guess they try to make up the price of the item with the shipping price and I’m not happy with that part.     I had shopped and was in the process of placing the order when I realized I could not find a spot to indicate this is a gift so that the pricing info would not be enclosed. So after taking all that time, I had to call in and found that I had to begin again and place the order with your rep who could designate it was a gift and not enclose price info!!     I especially like Stauer's necklaces but some of the styles and colors of their jewelry matched the clothes that I wear. What I would have really liked would have been the earrings that aren’t the wire pieces, but I haven’t found too many of those. So mostly what I've ordered were necklaces. A couple of times, I purchased online. And then later I got a call from a guy who is at Stauer and so now when I want to place an order, I call and deal directly with him. He’s easy to work with and very thoughtful and helpful. I still get the catalogs, though. I go through them and decide if I am going to order something. So far, it’s been good.     Hi Stauer, I was very interested in trying out one of your beautiful time pieces. I was especially interested in the Stauer Magnificat II and I recently tried to purchase one. I used the code "WEBDEAL" and it brought my total to $107.69 (I'm in Canada) and then I noticed at the bottom of the page that I could join Stauer's email list and receive a $40 discount code (Stauer 40) off of ANY purchase over $100. I received my code and was very happy in hopes that I would be able to apply my code (Stauer 40) to my cart total of $107.69, but this wasn't the case at all. Why give me a discount code if I can't even use it? I contacted your customer service via email and all they told me was that the code would only work for orders over $100.00. Not very helpful.     Quite a few years ago I purchased a Stauer watch and found the styling and what appeared to be quality of the watch excellent for the price. However, the watch kept terrible time. I returned it, and they replaced it with a new one, and again, it just kept lousy time (at least 10 minutes off per day). I again returned it and they again replaced it. This time while the time was a bit better, the adjusting stem came off. At this point I just gave up and threw it away. I recently saw another ad for their watches, and thought I'd give them another shot, figuring that after all those years, their quality must have come up. Well, I got the watch, and it looked great. The band was of a very high quality, the watch seemed solid and attractive. But here we go again. Mechanically, it was awful. I do not know if it is due to a bad battery or what, but the time is lagging 1 hour each day. And the adjusting stem works to set the time, but does not work to set the day.

    I have just returned the watch, and they are sending me a replacement. With this watch came a free set of Aviator style sunglasses. These glasses are of excellent quality. So this is what baffles me. They seem to put a high emphasis on styling and accessories, high quality leather bands, watch crystals, styling, but for some reason they just don't work right. I am hopeful, but not confident, that the replacement will keep good time. However, they do seem to stand by their product, but I am puzzled as to why they just don't make them reliable in the first place.

    Back in December, I bought a Stauer Urban Blue. At the time, I had just a few watches that I never wore, most from Russia. I have had a lot of compliments on it. I have also started a small collection of Blue Dialed watches. The Stauer model appear to be a copy of an Orient Star Classic, a very good Japanese watchmaker. I have not had any problems with, and after acquiring a Swiss Roamer with a blue dial, it is easier to see differences in quality.

    If you complain about how long an inexpensive watch lasts, then consider this: $1,000-$5,000 is considered to be Luxury Class for a watch. Orient Star is, by far, the deal for the money, as they makes everything, including the movement themselves. Patek Phillipe, the world's best watchmaker has a starting price of $40,000. You can buy a Stauer, and they are pretty, and work fine. If you want a watch that looks and works like it costs $2,000, then buy an Orient Star Elegant Classic from a Japanese seller for $450-$575. Complaining about a $50 watch is a waste of time. There are millions of them out there, so decide what you want to pay. I will keep my Stauer for as long as it lasts, and then wear my other watches more when it wears out.

    Well... for the $50 plus the overpriced S&H I could have gotten a far better knife at any flea market or even Walmart. The fit is on the handle is so bad they filled the gaps with wood putty, and the knife tip is bent at a 45-degree angle and then rebent back straight. This honestly is a $10 quality knife at any retail store. I would return it but the shipping charges are just not worth wasting any more time or money with this company. Do not be fooled by the flashy pictures in the ad!! The quality is nowhere near the pictures.

    So my husband purchased your DiamondAura Dearly Beloved Ring set and to say I'm angry on his behalf is an understatement. Your website claims it to be a lab grown DiamondAura and this is a crock of lies. We just went to have the ring resized and they told us they couldn't because the stones were cubic zirconia so we can't have the ring resized and while my husband spent $150.00 on a ring that after researching and speaking with a jeweler the ring only retails to the amount of $40.00.     Joined Stauer club on 3/26/2016 and ordered the river canyon knife. Received it on 4/2/2016. Opened it up and got nicked by a burr on the blade.     I purchased a white ceramic Stauer watch for my wife. It is a beautiful watch, but when the jeweler replaced the battery (which was too complicated for me to attempt), it would not restart. I contacted Stauer and I returned the watch with the repair fee and they sent me a replacement. But when it came time to adjust the hands for daylight saving time, the crown came out. I contacted Stauer again. They said since the watch was replaced once, it was out of warranty (even though the replacement was less than 6 months old). They would not fix it (I would have paid of course), but they did offer to sell me a new one for half price, only $200! I figured it would probably break again. I canceled my Platinum membership. I brought the watch to a jeweler to fix and he said it was not worth fixing. My wife found a comparable replacement in Macy's for a lot less. I thought it was a reasonably priced heirloom watch, but it was a disposal watch.

    I purchased the Stauer 1944 Ritorno Timepiece on December 2, 2015 as a gift from my mother to my father who saw this watch in the Stauer magazine. When he received the watch it looked nothing like the picture. I called and talked to Claude in customer service and explained. Claude said they have had problems the photos and would waive the return postage and refund the purchase. Well when I got my credit card statement he refunded the watch purchase price only. I called back and explained the situation and they said "we're sorry, shipping and handling is no refundable." This is poor customer service and I explained I hope they were happy with the $19.95 they took from me, because I was planning to buy another watch for myself that was $299.95. Will Never Buy From This Company Again.

I received a notice my credit card would not work. Turns out they would only ship to the billing address, which means a lot of hassle and expense when we are at another one of our houses, so I canceled the order even though they said they could not send me a confirmation email.     I placed an order for a Diamond Tennis Bracelet for my wife as a Christmas gift, and one that I was extremely looking forward to giving her on Christmas Day. Today I received a package in the mail with all of my extended coverage, replacement, premium membership etc... But no bracelet. When I called I was transferred to a CSR person who informed that the order was cancelled, and the bracelet was backordered.

    I was so incredibly angry, and frustrated for 2 reasons. The first obviously because I was not notified that the bracelet was on backorder, and the second because Stauer still charged my AMEX the $161 for the additional coverage, even though I was never notified I would not be receiving the bracelet. What is even more astonishing is that I was told the sales person who took my order had no visibility to the fact that the bracelet was not available, and yet still took my order, and talked me into the additional $161 in warranties, replacement, membership etc. If this is not just completely unethical then I do not know what might qualify. I know in my business we would fire someone for acting in such an unethical manner. I will be sure to tell everyone I know about this experience.

    My husband wanted an automatic watch from Stauer and had a coupon that required a $200 purchase. Since his watch was $149 I ordered a sterling silver chain that was valued at $59. It looked nice in the photo and silvery, but when it came, it was so thin and a grey color. The clasp is really cheap and hard to use. If it would have been a gift I would not have given it. After paying shipping and with the discount, I figured I paid $13 for the chain and that seemed too much. The box it came in probably cost more for them than the chain.

    I saw in your catalogue and wanted to order a Centurion Watch (Dual - Analogue/Digital) Quartz. The problem was that the watch was only offered in a leather band configuration. I bought the watch and then because I am partial to metal watch bands, asked Stauer to sell me a metal band for a Compendium Hybrid Stauer watch which, incidentally, I had also previously purchased and had taken the measurements and flat configuration of the band ends.     I had never really liked diamonds because I didn't think they sparkled or shined enough OR at least not the ones my husband could afford to buy me.     I ordered the Centurion Hybrid watch over two years ago. The day I ordered it, I got an email saying the price had been reduced. I called Customer Service and asked if I could get the lower price. No problem - they gave me the lower price. I received the watch and was very satisfied. It was beautiful! A year later, the band broke. I called Customer Service and asked if I could purchase a new band. Long story short, they sent me a new band free of charge.

    About six months later, I chipped the crystal on the watch. Very disappointed (I really love this watch), I called Customer Service once again to find out if I could have Stauer repair the watch since I really didn't trust local jewelers to do the work. Once again, Stauer came through. Except this time, they didn't just repair the watch for free, they sent me a whole new one!     I was at the doctor's office looking at a magazine when I found an ad for the palos pink diamondAura ring. Before I could think about it, my name was called and I abandoned the magazine. Later that night, I regretted leaving the magazine, although I had never stolen a magazine from a doctor's office before. I went back the following day, explaining to the receptionist what I was looking for. She offered no guarantee that the magazine in question would still be there. After a lot of searching (and most likely annoying the nurses), I found the magazine in one of the offices. I took a picture (what I should have done to begin with!), and went home to look up the website.

    The palos pink ring was my first purchase from Stauer. For the price, I wasn't sure what to expect. However, when it arrived, I was incredibly surprised at how beautiful it was. I gave her the ring (we joke about me giving her an engagement ring!), and have since bought her a necklace and earrings to match. She loves them all. My wife bought me a $199.00 Kepler, blue face watch while we still lived in Oregon. I have worn this watch a total of one week. The buckle on the band came off, cannot get the screw type pins out to replace the band, so the watch, whatever quality it may be, will never be known.     Before beginning let me say how much I love Stauer products and the fabulous replication of their famous jewelry and purses. Of course it goes without saying their items for men are just as nice.     I learned about Stauer while at a Goodyear Tire Dealership many years ago. As I was waiting to have new tires put on a commercial truck that I drove at that time, I was leafing through a magazine, and noticed an ad for Stauer Jewelry. The ad and the item in the ad resulted in my making my very first Stauer purchase. As a result, I made it a point to look at Stauer ads whenever I found them in different magazines.     Last year, I ordered my wife a Helenite necklace for Christmas and she was extremely pleased with it as a memento of our climb of the mountain in 1989. I have been a Stauer customer for years, purchasing watches for me and jewelry for my wife. I have always been satisfied with their products and service. This year, I attempted to purchase for $129, Helenite stud earrings to match the necklace I bought last year. As I was checking out, I noticed that Stauer was attempting to charge $20 for shipping these tiny little studs which easily could have been shipped insured for $5. I immediately stopped processing the order and will find some emerald studs that will match the Helenite necklace for a lot less money. It appears that corporate greed has now reached Stauer. This is very sad and disappointing. I will not need to consider them for future purchases.

    I was able to resolve this complaint very quickly after contacting the Better Business Bureau of Minnesota. I was pleased with Stauer's willingness to acknowledge, through their offer of resolution, that the delay and failure to notify resulted in a profound loss and emotional disruption. However, as I am unsure if Stauer is going to improve their ordering process to prevent this unfortunate situation from repeating, I am hesitant to purchase from them in the future. and hesitant to recommend them to other consumers.

    On 11/8 I placed a confirmed order for 3 items and a membership with Stauer. Stauer sales rep told me items would take "two weeks to arrive." Unfortunately, Stauer failed to tell me at the time I placed my order that items that I had ordered (time sensitive as a special gift for my fiance's 50th birthday) were on back order and failed to notify me of when these items would be shipped. After contacting Stauer the week the items were set to arrive, I was told that one item shipped and the 2 others had shipped "2 days ago." This proved false. Only one item arrived within time frame quoted (the least valued item) and I was left extremely embarrassed, sad and hurt that I had little to present to my fiance on this milestone day.

    I called Stauer again to determine the status as I could not track in email, and was told that the items were not going to be shipped until 10 days after they were supposed to arrive! (11/30 and 12/1) After complaining with customer service rep who indicated that the matter would get forwarded to a supervisor, the rep stated that all Stauer felt compelled to do to make up for ruining this event was to credit me shipping costs ($9.57) hardly compensation for a major problem both with ordering systems and what it means to satisfy a customer after you screw up royally. I cancelled my membership and will never order from this company again. Shame on you Stauer. I expected better from you.
