    I have ordered 2 or 3 watches from Stauer and none have lasted very long. Either one of hands quit moving or it stopped on analog but the other function worked. They look good but I just havent had any luck with them. Either they are cheaply made or my experience is rare.

    This bracelet broke after only a few times wearing it as the magnet fell out that held it closed. It was replaced and the same thing happened a second time. I was told it cannot be replaced again and I don't want to pay to repair it. Poor quality!

    I love all of the Stauer jewelry and watches. I am a flight attendant and I wore the blue muse watch to work and I always get a lot of compliments on that watch. A passenger asked me about the watch and I told him the name of your company and I gave him the site. He said his wife would love that watch.     I don't know if Stauer is a thief or just bad customer service. I have order many items from Stauer and have been very satisfied with their merchandise. I ordered a necklace through Eliana **, and on same call we decided the price would be cheaper if ordered a different way so she cancelled the first order and reordered. Received a double shipment and tried several times to make stauer understand but they still charged me shipping on my return for their mistake ($27.95). Notified Citicard and they refunded the disputed amount. Can’t stauer do better than this???

    Stauer is a reputable company that sells quality jewelry. To assist their customers they assign individual representatives to help the customer understand what they are buying. For me this is helpful because I do not own very many pieces of high-quality jewelry. These people attend training classes and know their merchandise. I have been working with Mady ** for 2 1/2 years. He is an unbelievably helpful person. I have unique tastes. Also unfortunately I have a number of constraints that I am required to work within. Mady is very helpful and is full of good ideas.

    The good thing about working with the same person over time is that he understands what I like, and how much I can spend and is not constantly pushing. Last year he helped me select four beautiful Christmas presents at a very reasonable cost. He suggested putting together a set. Otherwise I would not have been able to afford them on my budget, but this way, my three daughters and I were able to celebrate together with gorgeous jewelry. This year my husband and I are planning a very special trip to Europe. My most recent purchase is part of a one-year plan to acquire tasteful, appropriate jewelry that will be lovely to wear on my "second honeymoon" as well as special occasions for many years to come.

    So currently I will choose a statement piece that I love. And working with Mady using both the regular and concierge catalogs I can choose pieces that complement it with similar design styles and materials. This way the necklace, earrings will enhance each other and may even hint of another culture. By doing this over time, in a planned way, I am still staying within my budget - except for one set that I just fell in love with. And for that one, I am paying with payments over time. It's a win-win. I'm thrilled with the beautiful jewelry. But Stauer is making out very well also, because I am buying more than I otherwise would and when I decide it's time to shop I simply dial the number where I will get what I want at a price I can afford.

    I was looking through my Birds and Blooms magazine and noticed the ad for the jade and opal necklace and thought it would be a great birthday present for my aunt. The representative was very nice and explained the offer to me and when she asked if I would like the bracelet and earrings to match I said no. Then she made me a better deal on the necklace and I purchased $200 worth of coupons to use toward future purchases and some other pluses so I went for it.     I purchased a watch and within two years it does not work. I will never purchase another watch from this company. A ten dollar Walmart watch is cheaper and will probably last longer.     I just bought a sterling silver Byzantine necklace with 18K gold overlay for $99. I was also talked into purchasing a premium membership for $49 with the promise of 4 redeemable $50 coupons at any time. I received a much smaller looking necklace that weighs and feels like plastic. It looks like plastic and is something I would never wear. I received the coupon membership just prior to receiving the necklace. When I saw that the coupons were time sensitive I immediately cancelled my membership. I am now returning the necklace. I will keep you up to date on whether I get good customer service or not. I doubt very much that the necklace has any silver in it at all. I got better jewelry in Mexico on the street corner.

    I recently purchased a Watch from Stauer. Once I received it I discovered that I was having difficulty with it staying on Pacific time. It is a titanium style. After following my directions several times I was unable to get the Watch to stay on correct Pacific time. I sent it in for service with very little information to go on and within 10 to 12 days it was return back to me working perfectly with no questions, no hick ups, no problems. Sometimes you send something to a company and you may not see it for seven months. This is returned promptly and in perfect working order. The customer service goes a long way. I will continue to patronize Stauer for many years to come and would recommend them to most anybody who would ask.

    My husband joined the preferred shopper group and received coupons. He had already purchased a lot of jewelry from them. The findings (spacer beads) tarnish at different rates. The knotted string necklaces break. The clasps tarnish. I learned to string my own jewelry largely because I had all this nice jewelry that was looking pretty shabby. I love the styles and the service is good, but a year or two later the jewelry is broken or unwearable due to tarnish. Aquamarine set - string broke twice. Will cut it apart and restring it this weekend. Clasps badly tarnished. White turquoise - spacers tarnished unevenly. Tigers eye set - tarnish.

    925 silver pendants and earrings have lasted well. I love the styles. But jewelry billed as $100 or much more should last more than 6 months to 2 years. I can give identifying info if you contact me on Facebook. My point is that the jewelry doesn't last. I don't have order numbers (maybe in the attic). Orders were made by phone. Images below show differences in tarnish in the aquamarine set and show the tarnish that is typical in another set that is still wearable. I have restrung the others.

    I bought a Stauer MAGNIFICAT II TIMEPIECE (Order # **). When it arrived, it looked nice. However problems began almost immediately. First the leather started peeling off the band where the buckle hand comes through the band hole. That should not happen with decent quality leather. Next the gold metal finish started to tarnish significantly. You can see a dramatic difference between the bright gold color of the buckle and the tarnished gold of the watch itself. I tried cleaning and polishing with a high grade polishing cloth that I use on my higher end watches, but that had no impact.

    I asked if there was some product I could use to remove the tarnish and prevent it from recurring without harming the gold surface. Your customer service people responded that you don’t repair your watches but I could send back for an exchange for a fee. At the same time, I began to notice the gold layer on top was either wearing or so thin that I began to see the silver colored base metal underneath at many places. Again, I can’t imagine that happening with any kind of quality finishing process.

    I finally decided that I am sending this watch back to you. I do not want a replacement. While the band issue is disappointing, the deteriorating finish is the bigger issue. After my last exchange with your customer service, I put this watch in my watch box alongside my high quality timepieces and did not wear it for months. While the higher end watches remained beautiful to look at and wear, the finish on your watch continued to deteriorate while stored in the watch box with them. Hopefully, my returning the watch will give you the opportunity to improve your process. As this watch is right now, it is no better than a $10 knock off I can buy on any street corner in NYC.

    I will put it in the mail in the next week or so, you may do with it what you want, I don't want it back and I won't pay to have it replaced as I have no confidence a replacement will be any better. I realize the price of this watch was very inexpensive, but I must tell you I am very disappointed in how it has performed. It is a beautiful looking watch right out of the box, but I can't wear it anymore due to the leather issues, tarnish and finish issues, it just looks cheap now.

    I have been a platinum member of Stauer for the past 3 years. I continue and renew my membership because I have had nothing but good things to tell people and am impressed with the quality and selection of what Stauer has to offer! Recently, I purchased a necklace and matching bracelet that I have had my eyes on for some time now. I have not yet received it as I just ordered it yesterday. But am very excited about receiving it. It is sterling silver and a cheaper version of the gold set. Byzantine is what it's called. I would and have referred friends to this company and I will continue to do my jewelry shopping with them!     Last night I bought a necklace from Stauer.com. Its price was written $49 and shipment will $12 but after all transactions done I saw they took $78.95 from my card. They charged $59 instead of $49 and $19.95 instead of $12. Right after that I tried to cancel the order over email but they replied me for call 1888-333-2012. After 7 attempts I able to reach them. I talked with their representative Joel. He is telling me the item already shipped. They will not fix the price and also they will charge the shipping fees if I return it. Guys I just caught with the scam website Stauer.com but don't want to see anybody get in trouble like me.

    I had purchased the Holy Land ring and necklace set for my wife earlier in the year, but we had ordered the ring much too large, and I took it to a local "jeweler" for resizing. After sitting for two weeks with no word, not even an estimate of cost (as they promised), I called to find out what the problem was. They informed that they had sent the ring "out" for the work to be done, and that it would cost $50.00. I was incensed at the whole thing and told them I would come get the ring to take elsewhere. In the meantime, I called Stauer customer service to see if THEY had any ideas. Whoever I spoke with on this date, (6/20/17), was a great help in solving my problem with the "Holy Land ring" that was too large.

    They were willing to exchange the ring for one of the proper size, and would pay postage both ways. I received a shipping label as promised, and called the merchant whom I had left the ring with for resizing. They informed me that they had sent the ring out to a "jeweler", and have recalled the ring. I can pick it up next week, at which time I will mail it back to Stauer. Stauer customer service has gone out of their way to keep me a HAPPY customer, and these are folks I will not hesitate to recommend wholeheartedly for quality of merchandise, and most friendly and accommodating customer service.

    My copy clearly shows I was charged $129 for a watch, was given a $52.90 discount, charged $19.95 for shipping, for a grand total of $96.05. The receipt in the package shows I was charged $89 for the watch, $19.95 for shipping, for a total of $108.95. You over-charged me $12.90! Actually, my membership price should have been $116.10, not $129. Instead of reducing my original price for the watch to the membership price of $116.10 (a difference of $12.90), you ADDED an additional $12.90. I'm very suspicious of websites that do not automatically offer you the option of printing off the receipt & that won't email a receipt, either. There's something wrong with that! Unfortunately, I purchased a membership for Stauer, but I'm sorry now. I won't be doing that again. Some of your prices are appealing & your jewelry is attractive, but not enough to allow you to pencil whip me.

    National Geographic has the Stauer Jewelry ad from time to time with pretty much some very nice higher quality jewelry being advertised on full-page ads. The jewelry really connects with me. I like emeralds, rubies and strong color. My first order had to do with an emerald ring and it’s very large. I’m a very active person and I only wear it when I know I’m not going to be out and about with my horses. I wear it for special occasions and I really do like it. I would have liked to be able to buy half-sizes. I know they only come in whole sizes and the large ring, being a little loose, would often get in trouble.

    Then, when I ordered that, they got my email address and I saw an ad for a 3 for $100. That’s when I got into the premium program where I get $50 coupons that have to be used within a period of time. A man took my order through the 3 for $100 and I got transferred to a lady who called me a lot. Somehow, I lost touch with her and I now talk to another lady for a time.

    I have purchased online using my debit card and it was pretty good navigating their website. There were no problems. The issue I have with the company is the quality of the product itself. The boxes are well constructed and too nice and I almost don’t want to throw them away. But the jewelry itself, not so much. I like gold as a basic color and I don’t like silver. I ordered a gold band with about seven small stones. it was shown as being gold but the gold was gone almost immediately. They told me that for an extra couple of dollars, I could get an insurance policy. I suppose I would have returned this if I had had that because it’s not gold, it’s silver. In the 3 for $100, I also ordered a couple watches and gave one to each of my daughters-in-law and the younger daughter-in-law showed me where the gold is coming off on her watch as well.

    Also, when their prices are listed, they’re always on sale and they quote astronomical prices that these products are supposed to go for which is ridiculous. I would like to buy one of their nice leather purses that they advertise but I know I can buy another at a discount store like T.J. Maxx for a lot less and still get some nice quality. Since I’m a little concerned with the quality, I probably won’t buy anything else. I’m pretty dissatisfied and I wouldn’t recommend it to a friend. My money could have been spent much better elsewhere.

    My wife doesn't wear jewelry that much, but the Stauer Jewelry necklace and earrings combo in the green stone made out of Mt. Helenite ash would look good on her and was very reasonably priced. I purchased it over the phone and the salesperson answered my questions and did not push me. Also, it was not noisy in the background, as one would expect from a large call center. However, I do get vexed by the constant emails from them about more thing. Other than that, the detail which described what it was selling and the close-up pictures gave me a high degree of comfort. I wasn’t confronted with a surprise when it was delivered. I did not get an impression that it was oversold with the Stauer materials that I got, and the delivery time was efficient.

    I was looking through a magazine and saw Stauer Jewelry’s advertisement for some amethyst jewelry. I love purple and it was so ridiculously inexpensive. So I thought to give this a shot. I placed the order and when they came, they were beautiful. I got the whole deal, the necklace, the bracelet, and earrings. It was a pretty good deal.     I'm very pleased with Stauer and have had very excellent experience with them. I’ve made several purchases with Stauer Jewelry, both for myself and as gifts. I’ve bought four watches from them over time and I will purchase three pieces of jewelry. I place my orders through phone. I give them the information, like the catalog number and so forth. Then I receive the tracking number in my email. I once had a problem with one watch that I sent back and they didn’t replace. I had to pay to have it replaced and I was sorry about that. Other than that, I don’t have problems with them and I would highly recommend them.

    As with other some other watch companies offering watch cases that are so large they would take up your whole wrist, Stauer has a different approach. I find that most men's Stauer timepieces have such small diameter cases that they should rather be considered to be a woman's watch. I for one am a senior citizen and my eyesight is not the best. I purchased a few watches and sent them back only to be disappointed with the fact that I'd need a magnifying glass to read the date or day of week! I think Stauer should take this into consideration and offer watches with cases in the 45 to 48 mm range and not the usual 38 to 41 range most of them come in.

    Also I am not pleased that the watches I have purchased in the past from them said China Movement on them. This makes me wonder about the true quality of some of their watches? Don't most of the best watches built say "Japan OR Swiss Movement" on them? I will say one thing good about their timepieces is that they have some really great looks and fashionable designs. It's just a shame that the cases (in my situation) are so small. So heads up Stauer, I have heard many others complain about this same problem. Why not fix it and perhaps your sales would go up and make some of us watch lovers VERY happy.

    I have been very glad for most of the things that I have received from Stauer. I got the whole nine yards of all of the tanzanite jewelry and I love it. I also got the dragonfly earrings and pendant, and I like that too. The only problem I had was I had to send back the emerald and opal necklace. The picture said one thing and what I got was a completely different thing. The color of the “emerald” was so dark that it looked like it was dark jade. It was very strange looking. It was from the regular catalog and not from the concierge catalog but I didn't reorder it after that.

    Other than that, the rep was wonderful and I like working with her. She knows what she's doing and she lets me talk to her about other things although sometimes I keep her too long. She got very concerned about the Hannah Flower not having come on time and said that it was already received so I had my husband go and look at our postal box and it wasn't there. He went back to the front door and the package was there but I hadn't seen it. When I opened it up, it was so beautiful so I have wanted a lot.

    I bought a watch for my husband from Stauer online. They claim to have very high-quality watches at reasonable prices. Instead, I feel like we bought junk. My husband has several watches, from inexpensive to higher-quality, so he does not wear this watch every day, maybe once a month or so. He takes very good care of it and is not involved in any physical activity at work that would damage the watch. It fell apart in two years after light wear. A piece of the band fell completely off near the face of the watch, allowing a pin to also fall out. Seems like a piece of junk. His cheap watches have held up better than this. I would not recommend them if you want quality merchandise.

    Stauer Jewelry sends me a catalog of their products and, in looking at their watches, I consider the size of the watch face because I don't like a big watch. I like a more conventional watch. I call them up and look online, and I check the watch out. Stauer has been pretty decent and they’ve been okay. I send back a watch if I don't like it and they'll send me what I ordered or at least something that looks like what I ordered from the catalog.

    However, I got confused because I was supposed to have canceled my Platinum account with Stauer in April 2016. It was an error on my part. I didn't know that my account was from April 2016 to April 2017. I thought that the cutoff date was April 2016 and the cancellation was prior to that date, but it turns out that April this year was actually the cutoff date. So, if I decided to continue my account, that would be $100 and maybe they can put me on a payment plan. But I just went ahead and let my account go, and if I decided to renew it, I will.

    When I saw an offer for a 75% discount, I didn't read the fine print like always, and it turns out that I had to renew my account to avail of this discount. I’ve bought several watches from Stauer in the last five months. I sent one watch back last week because the face was too big and, although it looked like the watch was gold in the pictures in the magazine, it was actually rose gold, which I didn't like. I used a coupon in sending the watch back so all they would charge was the shipping.

    However, the Stauer rep told me that I can still order watches from them, but since I have canceled my account, some of the tickets and coupons that they have sent to me aren't going to be valid. I told her that I bought several watches with coupons in the past months. I got $50 off on one watch, and I also got $50 off on another. I used a $50 coupon as well to buy the watch that I had sent back recently, but now I'm sure that they're not going to give me credit for it. They'll give me my shipping charges on my credit card but not anything else.

    The lady rep explained to me that I had canceled my account in April 2016, and my account was still good from that point forward up to the cutoff date on April 2017, but after this I can't use coupons anymore. The thing that I didn't understand was, if I can't use discount coupons after I canceled my account, why are they sending coupons to me so I can buy watches with coupons? We just went round and round, so I didn't argue with her anymore.

    Another issue that I have is with the product quality. You don't get to choose the wristbands that come with the watch that you order, and these wristbands are very cheap. When the bands come, sometimes you get a black band and it's stamped alligator. You’re stretching the band to put the watch on your wrist as many times as you use it, and then the band starts to fray at the edges. So, they're not good bands, and Stauer needs to upgrade their wristbands. Furthermore, some of the watches come apart on the insides. I've taken these watches to a local watch repair shop to be fixed.

    I saw Stauer Jewelry in Smithsonian Magazine a couple of years ago. They were advertising a beautiful watch for $30 and I was curious. I’m a watch kind of guy and I called them just to see if it was legitimate and that’s the first watch I bought from them. Since that time, I’ve bought about nine watches. Their purchasing process is really very easy every time. The only down part is that the things they advertise are sometimes out of stock and I have to wait many weeks for it to finally be delivered.     I purchased a watch, described as a timepiece, which was a beautiful representation of a classic piece from the 20s/30s. It ran "OK" for four months, then bellied up.     I had picked a Stauer watch out of a magazine and my wife purchased it as a gift. I was very pleased with the watch and all the features it had. I have to admit I work a physical job and put the watch through some hard days. It was not a very expensive watch but after six months one of the pins fell off that would set some of the digital features on the watch. Not expecting much I sent Stauer an email and explained the issue. They sent me a return label and wanted me to mail it back.     I've purchased seven items including necklaces, rings and earrings from Stauer Jewelry but I'm not really satisfied with the last few ones that I ordered. First is that there was a little crack on my necklace and it looked like it had been glued back. Then, when I see something in the book that I like, I order it but it comes back with a different color. I ordered that twice because I thought I had made a mistake only to find out that what was in the book and what I ordered was the same thing but it didn't look like it.

    The third mistake is that you think that the stuff is the size that it is in the book but then come to find out that that particular necklace and earrings are small. They are for teenagers. I'm an older woman and I don't wear anything like those. But I'm not the type of person that keeps on returning things back so I refused to do so. I'm gonna give it to somebody else but I have received three strikes and I have decided that I would no longer order from them anymore.

    I am very pleased with my most recent purchase from Stauer, as well as their attention in assisting me with an item I thought may have been broken. I had purchased an automatic watch that requires winding rather than a battery. While I had read the directions, and understood that it was an automatic watch, I didn't realize that anything beyond the initial winding would be called for, especially if the watch isn't worn every day. My initial week to ten day period of wearing the watch was punctuated with one or two day periods of not winding it, as I have a number of watches. As it is the movement of the watch while being worn that keep it wound, it slowed and eventually stopped. I returned it for a replacement, which of course did the same thing.

    When I brought it to the attention of customer service, with the intention of returning it for a full refund, they very promptly emailed me with a couple of additional suggestions as to how best to care for and maintain the watch so as to ensure its proper functioning and accuracy. I followed these simple suggestions for a few days and am very pleased with the results. Accordingly, I am keeping the watch (the Stauer Magnificat II), and will certainly be making future purchases from them. Stylish timepieces and prompt customer service are a wonderful combination.     I'm very pleased with how I was treated at Stauer Jewelry. I got the premium plan and paid $99 for a year of a subscription per se, which included some $50 certificates and others with the package. I love the catalogs and the products but I had not been able to afford most of the items and I don't think I'll be able to spend the amount of money that would be required to use the certificates and the email specials. When I ordered two Celtic crosses with a bead chain for myself and my son who's in the service, I called them and asked the serviceman who assisted me if there's an automatic renewal and withdrawal without my permission. He said no and that they won't renew it without my permission. He also said it's free of charge if I wish to not have an additional year and that they were going to give me this one Celtic cross as a gift for buying into the $99 of premium plan.

    So when I got the product which I'm very happy with, I looked at the certificate or the package of the premium plan that I was offered and I purchased. And it was totally different than what he had mentioned. In the signed letters, it said that the plan will automatically renew and if I wish to void a renewal, at the end of the year, I have to give up and return the gift that was given when I first purchased the plan. I paid $29.99 for one of the Celtic crosses plus the chains worth $29 each. So I have to return a $30 gift but I paid a $100 to get it. That isn't very fair and kind of crooked. He also said the $50 off certificates were going to be good for one year and they weren't. There were a couple for 80 days or 90 days and the other one was for 180 days.

    So I'm really kind of angry but I haven't had the time to hear from them personally and understand it. It's nearly been 30 days since I purchased the gifts. I don't want to renew the plan and I thought maybe I could use these certificates throughout the year for gifts. But I learned that to get some of these gifts and use the certificates, I have to buy ** amount of dollars before I can even use them. But I don't buy that much jewelry and I'm disabled and I live on a small amount of budget. Also, I wanted to stop the premium plan but I've already sent away the gifts and I can't return them. So I'm in a pickle about it and pretty dissatisfied with the experience.

    I had been meaning to try Stauer Jewelry for quite a while and finally got around to it. Everything went well but I had a little bit of problem having a different billing address than a delivery address which was why I ended up phoning and dealing with somebody on the phone rather than strictly placing the order online. Yhe billing address is in Canada and the shipping address was in the US. Anybody spending the winter in Florida wouldn't want it shipped to Canada from Florida. In our particular case, our mailing address is in Florida but we're actually in Panama.It's fairly common the first time that I deal with companies online and so do our neighbors who order from the States that goes through a mailing address in Florida and then it comes by air to Panama. Other than that, I'm happy with them.

    The experience with Stauer on the whole was good. I saw on the internet that they had inexpensive and nice-looking walking sticks on sale. I'm a senior citizen and I walk with a cane now so I purchased four of them. One of them had the head of a rabbit. My cousin collects canes as a hobby and he's got everything else. I bought one and gave it to him as a present. For Christmas I saw that Stauer had Christmas tree brooch on sale for $12.25. I have a pretty strict budget and normally don't buy anything for my cousins and we don't exchange presents. But this past Christmas, I purchased seven of those brooches and gave it to my cousins. They loved it and wore it on their coat for the holidays.

    There was a pair of Cinderella earrings that Stauer had on sale during Valentine's at a very reasonable cost and I wasn't really interested in purchasing it at the time. But a few months later I decided that I wanted to get it. Unfortunately, the price had gone up from $49 to $299. One day, a rep from Stauer called me and asked how he could help. I said what I was looking at and I was not gonna pay $299. She told me to hold on a minute and then she said she can get those for me for $39 so I ended up purchasing them.

    Another female friend of mine collects butterflies. I saw that Stauer had a butterfly brooch on sale and I also bought that. They have me down as a Platinum Buyer. One time, I had a problem with the head of one of the canes. I then called them and they told me to send it back and have it replaced. They've been good people 100%. I highly recommend Stauer Jewelry. As a matter of fact, whenever I order, they send me a booklet of what they have and I have been passing that around to a couple of people. They like what they see and two of them have purchased from Stauer.

    I needed to get my wife something for an occasion so I bought something from Stauer. It was nice and since then, I bought several other things. However, it hasn't been all that great lately. I bought a ring that was too small. Stauer was supposed to send me a receipt and I was going to send it back for them to replace with the right size. Then about two weeks ago, I got an email that said they had sent me a new ring, but it hasn't showed up. I also still haven't got the receipt to send the other one back with.

    I talked to a girl and she was nice and said that they were taking care of it but it never got to the point that I got a receipt to send this ring back. She told me they had the right size. I was a little surprised because they said last week that they were shipping it and delivery doesn't normally take 10 days to get here.     We tried Stauer a couple of years ago and I liked the company and everything about it. We had some success about their product. Then we ordered some gold jewelry. It was shipped in but it was not gold, it was yellow. My girlfriend was unhappy so I sent it back. They re-sent it but it just wasn't good so we re-sent it back. We got our money back but we're unhappy. I thought I'm not gonna order from them anymore so I quit. But I got literature all of the time and then Valentine’s Day was coming so I thought I'd give it another try. We just got the product and my girlfriend was happy with it.

    Their sales rep are very good. Every time I deal with them, they're very pleasant and very helpful. However, Stauer signed me up on this $99 special deal and they put it on my credit card but I don't need it. But I did it so I will call them and get that credited to my account.     I've been a Stauer customer since 2014 and have purchased lots of jewelry from them. However that has come to a grinding halt with the experience I've had with that company that begun on 2/3/17. On that date, I ordered a ring and a necklace using the online option (which I've always used). In checking my bank account, like I always do with every online purchase I make with any company, I noticed that 2 preauthorizations for the amount of my order had been deducted from my bank account. I called Stauer right away and was first told that a preauthorization only verified my bank account and that there was only one preauth. on my order and that no money had been deducted from my account and wouldn't be until my order had been shipped and a point of sale appeared on my account.

    When I told the woman at Stauer that I was looking at my online bank statement at the very minute that I was speaking to her and that there were indeed 2 preauths in the same amount deducted from it, she continued to dispute my word until she was finally convinced that I wasn't going to be swayed by her pat answers and discussed the matter with either another Stauer employee or her supervisor. After a few minutes she suggested that I wait a day and that I would see that the preauths. would "fall off" my account. After that conversation, I called my bank and after explaining the situation It was suggested that I wait to see what would happen and that they were also sure the preauths would "fall off" overnight.

    Monday morning came and instead of 2 preauths. there was now only one deducted from my account BUT a point of sale had also been deducted!! When I called the bank Monday morning (2/6/17), I was told that nothing could be done on their end and that Stauer would need to "fix the problem" and if it couldn't then I would have to file a dispute form and have to be issued a new card. So I called Stauer was first told that they could do nothing about it and that the bank would have to correct the problem. When I told them what the bank told me then I was told to "be patient" and that it could take up to 3 days for the preauth. to "fall off" my bank statement.

    So now it's Tuesday morning (2/7/17) and I checked the bank statement hoping beyond hope that the preauth. had fallen off my account. Instead I found that the date of the preauth. had changed from 2/3/17 to 2/7/17!! I believe that the preauth. dated 2/3/17 had "fallen off" my account but that Stauer, for whatever reason, had applied a new preauth. on 2/7/17. I know the bank would not have done that. So at 9 AM sharp I will be calling Stauer again and this time I will get nasty with them. I've been very polite with them up to this point but enough is enough! I'll also say this... there is NO WAY that I will ever, ever, ever order anything from Stauer again!!! As a matter of fact, I think Stauer should reimburse me for my last order. That's the very least Stauer can do for all the grief they've put me through but I know that won't happen.

    Placed order on the 12th of December. Was contacted on the 19th and told that a processing error had occurred and I needed to fix it. Why they waited so long to notify me was beyond comprehension but I complied and expressed the urgency for the products to arrive before Christmas.     I was very disappointed with Stauer customer service when I called about a damaged cast fire engine that I had purchased as a Christmas gift. It was advertised as a cast model (instead it was made out of plastic not cast). A second item was a broach for my wife advertised in the picture as a beautiful blue cut stone. Not so. It was a dingy gray something or other I could have found in my yard. I asked for a full refund including shipping. They said company policy was not to refund shipping cost. I said even if the item is damaged? They responded YES. So I ended up losing $20.00 and they lost a customer for life. I have requested that they remove my name from all mailings and emails. READ THE SMALL PRINT.

    I returned a watch I purchased December 23rd, 2016 on December 30th, 2016 in the return envelope provided by the company. It has been two weeks and they still don't have my item back. No one in customer service will help and they told me WHEN they do get my return, it will take 10-14 BUSINESS days to refund my credit card. I asked for a tracking number so I could track it myself, they provided a bogus number. The post office, UPS etc. show no signs of ever getting anything from me with the label Stauer provided.     A little over a year ago, I purchased a Stauer Centurion Hybrid Watch that has both digital and analog time functions. This watch was working fine for almost the full year in both functions, but one day I noticed that the analog function stopped working, but the digital clock was still working okay. I figured that the battery for the analog clock needed replacement, so I purchased new batteries and replaced both batteries for the analog and digital clocks. The digital side worked, but the analog clock would only operate for a couple minutes then stop. I could give the watch a good rap, it would again run, but stop after a couple minutes; so I figured that something must have broken inside the watch.

    I wrote to Stauer about the problem and they emailed me a return form and prepaid shipping label to return the watch for replacement at No Charge to me. I received the replacement recently and commend Stauer for their prompt service rendered. I will happily do business with them again whenever the opportunity provides.

    I ordered the Riviere set ($395 regular) with the necklace being the most expensive component ($299 regular), I also ordered another Helenite necklace and earrings to reach a $500 total so I could use a coupon. The Riviere necklace diamonds are so heavy they roll the necklace over and the company must be aware of it because now that I have a catalogue I can see the model holds the diamonds twisted so the camera can catch it but when you look at the right hand side the top 3 diamonds are correct, the 4th starts to turn, and the next 5 are rolled over. They said with my coupon the set was only worth $228 and they would give me 1/3 of that for the return of the necklace. The necklace is worth more in $ charged for both earrings and bracelet combined but they would only give me 1/3; I would also lose the coupons. I was about to order more items today but they have lost this customer. They would not even consider an equal amount replacement.

    I got a flyer in the mail and decided to place an order for gifts, for my wife's friends who are visiting form China. The price was so good and I thought what could possibly go wrong and I didn't look at the reviews before ordering. I placed the order by phone and the lady I spoke with was very pleasant and professional. When the order was placed and she told me how much the shipping would be I was ready to cancel the order because the amount for shipping and handling was almost the same as the items I purchased. I complained to her and asked her to let her supervisors know I was displeased with the shipping. She apologized and assured me she would tell them.

    I got an email with the tracking number and a date when the order would arrive. It has now been two weeks and the order is still not here. In fact I just got a notice that the package was being transferred to the local post office. I went to the post office and inquired about my package and they said they could not trace it because it was not a UPS tracking number and they could not tell me when it would arrive. Our friends will return to China without the gifts we wanted to give them. My wife is very upset about this and there is nothing I can do to solve the problem.     Stauer had this offer for the ring that I ordered and they got the free earrings with it. It looked absolutely gorgeous and then I called to order it. The girl that I talked to told me about the program that they had and did I want to join. She gave me some information, and I said, "Well, okay. That would be fine. Go ahead." I just want to give the ring to my daughter anyway. And so, I ordered the size 8 and she said, "We'll also send you four $50 gift certificates that you can use to purchase more merchandise.” I said, "Okay."

    The rep seemed very eager to sell something which is her job and she seemed to know what she was talking about. So, as I was talking to her, I found no reason not to do what she was asking and telling me about. It sounded like a pretty a good deal to me. However when it arrived I had a size 6 ring. No gift certificates and there was no 20% discount. On the package it does say size 8 but regardless of the size, I would not have kept the ring. It did not live up to the picture at all. The picture was so much better than the ring actually looked. So, I decided I didn't wanna participate in the program. I'm very dissatisfied.

    The ring is gorgeous--ordered it in 7 1/2---to make sure it fit. Received ring---way too big. Called my "specialist" to return ring for a 7 1/4. She never returned call. Call their special number for help and the young man was downright snotty. Told me they only make rings in full sizes so the ring I received could possibly be a size 8--and I asked to speak to my "specialist" and he informed me he couldn't do this. Called the "specialist" again and she never returned that call or the other calls. I go to jeweler to have ring evaluated and if it is truly a good purchase I will have it sized by a real jeweler in a real jewelry store that I can trust.

    Return of handbag that was purchased for Christmas of 2015. Buyer had a nasty fall immediately after Christmas that sent me to the hospital. This was followed by a pulmonary embolism.     I've bought several things from Stauer in the past few months, and I'm really happy with them. I had seen their ads in a variety of publications, so I went to their website when I was looking for something. I had looked for some stuff on Amazon, but Stauer's catalog is nice. It's curated, and I found something good at a good price, so I went with it. The purchase wasn't easy, though, because every few days, I get a new thing with different discounts and then a flyer with a different discount code. It makes me wonder if I'm ordering it the right way to get the best deal. It's confusing. On the other hand, I got on their Frequent Buyers Club and had a human being to talk to when I would do my orders. They would make sure that I got the best deal using the right coupons and so forth, and that was good.

    The Magnificat II watch I purchased is beautiful. However, it was much larger and heavier than I expected. The price for the watch was excellent, however, I was dismayed to discover that their policy to return an item for a refund required: The buyer to pay for the Initial Shipping and Handling ($19.95); The buyer to pay an additional $8.00 fee. Also, of note: my return was received by Stauer on 9/12 (verified via Fed Ex) - my refund was not processed until 9/23/16. When a customer is out-of-pocket $27.95 to return an item for refund, I would have anticipated that the company would expedite a refund - 11 days to process a refund is not expeditious or customer-friendly in my experience. I'll choose to deal with other vendors who have a more friendly and cost-conscious return policy.

    We once got a very expensive box bracelet from Stauer. Around every three inches, there was a jab coming out of it that was a quarter inch long, and it was annoying to wear. I even took it to a couple of jewelers and they measured it. It's not a constant size and they said that it was terrible. I wish I would have gotten something that I thought was a professional piece of jewelry. When something like that happens, I lose a lot of faith. I brag to people and they say it looks like a good deal, but if that's gonna happen, I don't want to do it. I live in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada. To send something back, every time I gotta deal with the border, I gotta deal with shipping which is not an easy thing to do. I contacted them but they said they got a routine.

    When Stauer Jewelry first had a little emerald pendant, I bought it and the first one was kinda funky. I sent it back. The second one was even more funky but finally the third one was decent. I know these are not gem quality items and the price certainly reflects, but everything that I got from Stauer Jewelry that was gold plated had the gold plate come off within a very short time. But other than that, it’s great costume jewelry and the price is pretty decent. The other thing that I don’t like is when I order two or three items and Stauer Jewelry charge shipping on all three items and they’ll all come in the same box, which I understand since everybody’s gotta make money. I just finally received the final piece I’ve been waiting for a while. It was a ruby and it’s got a huge crack in the middle but I’m not even bothering to send that back. I figured my experience is over but I love their products. I just set my sights a little higher on some of the things.

    Well I placed my very first order w/ Stauer on August 5 2016. Now it was well after regular business hours and a Friday, so to be fair, let's say the order went in on Monday August 8. I received my order, a watch, within a reasonable amount of time. Sadly the watch was defective. It did not work at all. It was sent back for replacement, and as of today, Sept. 27, I am still waiting for a working timepiece. Fifty one (51) days.

    On Thursday, Sept. 22, I called in to see what was going on, and was told that the watch had been shipped out that day and I might receive it on Saturday the 24th. So I didn't get to post office until today, still not there! So I called again today. The gentleman I spoke with told me to look for it today. But before I called, I asked the clerk if all the box mail had been delivered for the day. The answer was yes. So this is an account of my experience. 51 days!!! Not good.

    I saw the ad in a magazine and ordered online. I put in the code for a pair of sunglasses, like it said to, but I never saw anything about them. l proceeded to checkout and the total came up double the amount listed. I tried to change It, but instead it closed the sale. I printed the receipt and the total was still not correct. I called customer service and after explaining, she looked it up and said she did not know how it happened, and she said she would change it.     On 9-16-2016 I returned an item I had just received. I only had the ability to track the return to the location of Stauer's package accumulation point, from there I had no way to know where it was or when it would get to the Stauer warehouse. I called seven days after I put the return in the mail and I was told it could take up to five weeks for them to get my return. To me this was unacceptable. I wanted to exchange the item I returned for an identical item that would fit but with the turn around time involved I had to make a second purchase of the item I wanted and then wait for who knows how long to get my, now, refund for the item I purchased initially.

    If this sounds confusing to you just imagine how confusing it is for me. I realize Stauer has an unbelievably large customer base but it seems you would a better system in place to accommodate situations like mine and I'm sure hundreds of other people. This isn't the first time I have experienced excessive time delays with Stauer. This is just the first time I have expressed my feelings.

    I ordered Sante Fe set about 3 months ago and have been given several dates as to when it would arrive. It has not arrived yet and I am now told Sept. 30.     Called Stauer, because I wanted to order the Harley Motorcylce as a gift for my cousin... They had said online that it was out of stock and to call to find out more info... The salesman, on the phone, did not give me any idea of when it was going to coming in stock again... I told him I would wait till it did, as if I couldn't get it on or close to the day I needed it for... I would have bought something else... He was very pushy for the sale and promised me it would come by then... and then proceeded to try and sell me insurance for that item, trying to get me to become a member and wouldn't take no for an answer... Just kept on pushing and pushing... At one point I told him he either just order that item for me or I was going to hang up.
