I have always gotten excellent service from the VIP Division and especially from Tara **. I would not have spent so much on my lady friend if not for Tara's advice and helpfulness. I applaud her efforts and the time and effort. She -- TARA -- puts into the effort of making the buy a pleasure and not like a lot of people that only take an order and that is the last you hear from them. Tara, the lady, goes out of HER way to see that every thing is done correct and that the customer is happy. There should be more people like that to serve the customers. THANK YOU TARA ** FOR A GREAT JOB - WELL DONE!!!

Stauer is a first-rate company with an eclectic line of items from incredible bargains to very unique and expensive. I have been buying gifts for family and friends from Stauer for almost a year, and every one has been a real hit. I have a personal account manager who has helped enormously in finding just the right gift at a price I can afford. I have also bought items for myself that I love and other women notice and ask where I bought them.

Our acct. executive, Tara ** is very capable. The main problem we have is that some of what we order always seems to be placed on backorder which has lasted from weeks to months. This is very frustrating to say the least. If you have an item that you know will be popular you should order enough of it in to take care of the orders.

I believe you folks should be more careful in some of your misleading advertisement. But you do a reasonable job and are a fair in comparison with others of like product, value reasonable. However you drive me crazy with the price of your silly chains. Why not price items that need a chair with a chain priced as one, and then there is your charge for shipping and handling. That insults my intelligence.

I immediately sent it back and after 10 days contacted customer service wondering why it's taking so long for a replacement. Customer service stated it will take 3-4 weeks before I get the replacement for A DEFECTIVE WATCH. I told them this unacceptable and asked to speak to the customer service manager. I left a message on her voice mail. NOW IT'S 24 hrs later still no call back. If this is how they treat customer then this is my last order. BUYER BEWARE!!!

I was very excited to receive my free ring for only shipping payment. I saved it to wear for my first trip to Sicily. I was very disappointed that on the plane to Italy I noticed one stone had already fallen out. I realize I declined the insurance, however, I didn't expect the stone to fall out on the first wearing. Certainly not a good experience and cannot recommend your company to any of my friends.

Prelude: I love emeralds and opals... I saw an ad in a magazine I was reading, while sitting in my doctor's office, for a necklace this company (Stauer) was offering for an incredible story and price. They claimed they made, from the ashes of Mt. St. Helens' eruption, by the modern technology, an incredibly, perfectly pure and flawless "emerald." Normally, I don't want "lab-created" stones in my jewelry. However, I know how soft and delicate natural emeralds are. For the price, I thought, if this "pendant" is as pretty as the picture, I can live with that. These stones made from those ashes are called "Helenite." I called to order this pendant and I am assuming it comes with a chain. Wrong! For an additional fee... I get sucked into buying a membership, they send four $50.00 certificates that can be used anytime during the next year.
I am usually leery of these deals, but I see their website and start getting brochures almost daily. Each one having great savings and I can use those $50.00 things, so I fell hook, line and sinker! Upon arrival, these rings (most of them) are as pretty as they show in the pictures and online. But, buyers beware... each one, within anywhere from 2 hours to two weeks are losing stones, chains break and so on. And, God forbid, you try to send them back without all kinds of charges, or excuses for not getting a replacement or whatever!!! If I could give them a few negative stars I would!
I ordered one of their tanzanite rings with one dozen rare stones, I read the reviews of people that supposedly loved it, raving on the quality... my ring came and all of the stones are cloudy and lacking much color. Then, they have some people that call you, trying to sell you a tanzanite ring, far better quality and a much higher price! Every time I got one of those calls I'd let them have it, telling them I realize all of these problems are not their fault, those poor guys are on straight commission! All of these things happened over a pretty short period of time. Yes, I wised up quickly. I have put reviews on their website under each item, but they have never printed any of them.
Mainly, the consequences were customer service making every excuse and apology and not really offering any satisfaction to my complaints. I have sent some things back at my expense. The rest I am going to see if a local jeweler can fix my items and if not, I'll just sell the silver and hopefully some of the stones and consider myself lucky that I didn't spend more money with these guys. Going back through my order shipping labels, I am actually horrified at how much these people got out of me before I wised up.

2nd attempt to get in touch with you. Basically happy but one concern... Got a question. I have a Stauer Meisterzeit I bought... geez... two... maybe three years ago. Overall pretty impressed with it. The self winding-no battery required mechanism is the greatest thing since sliced bread. I have, in fact, become a zealous convert to Stauer watches. There will ALWAYS be a Stauer (self-winding of course) on my wrist..But of late, my watch loses time in an amazing fashion. At least 5 minutes a day... one day, no idea how it happened, a full hour. Is there a cleaning or a '10,000 mile tune up' so to speak that has to be performed periodically?

Wanted to buy this bracelet, you state that it was reduced by $100.00 yet I found it elsewhere for $49.00. What is your profit margin? It must be 300%. The company I got it from made a profit on $49.00 and you are charging $50.00 more. What a rip off.

Customer Service advised to hand wind the "automatic watch" each morning and each night to hold a 24 hour charge. Returned watch for refund. Was charged $32.95 for P&H. Stauer claims wonderment of timepiece because it does not require a battery totally ignoring the need to hand wind an "automatic watch".

I bought a Stauer Centurion Hybrid Watch ($59) and received it 12-2-14. Now eight months later the stainless steel colored finish on it is discoloring to a bronze color in five areas. On the watch back it says the case back is stainless but nothing about the rest of the watch. I emailed their customer service department to make them aware of their possible quality issue. They replied that they could exchange it with a new one upon my purchase of a "Replacement Guarantee" depending on its allotted time.
That seems unclear to me versus just saying their warranty period is for "such and such a length of time" and that a warranty is included with the product. Buying a "Replacement Guarantee," whatever that unstated cost might be seems unjust. They should be eager to get their product back to see what is wrong with it so they can make corrections in production. So I won't be purchasing anymore of their products even though their advertising brochures are very flashy and the pricing is low.

It was their error in shipping that unfortunately cascaded into a nightmare, so they get docked a star. BUT the necklace is fantastic and completely exceeds all expectations. My wife is over the moon with the necklace and she's a lot more relaxed about it being late than I am. And when this problem came up, Stauer customer service was great to deal with and really stepped up to help out. They even refunded all my shipping and handling charges. UPS and USPS added 99% of the pain to this process. I encourage every company to not use them for shipping.

I ordered an item FedEx 2nd-Day Air and it was sent UPS Mail Innovations. When UPS transfers your package to the post office, it is no longer traceable. So now it's past the delivery due date and I have no idea where it is or when it will get to me. Yes, saying that I'm dissatisfied with the shipping of this item is an understatement. To Stauer's credit, they credited back the $15 that I paid extra for expedited shipping and admitted that they baffed the shipping on this item (9 days after I ordered, I still don't have it).
Pro-tip: when a customer is paying $20 for shipping, don't send it Mail Innovations. That's bottom-of-the-barrel and any serious company should be embarrassed to use it. I would even steer clear of UPS. Their service has seriously degraded in previous years. Stauer has a good reputation as a company and customers are loyal, so it's time to get the shipping part of the house back in order and keep earning that good reputation. Even if the products that people receive are great, bad shipping experiences send people running to other retailers.

First and foremost I have to say that most of the jewelry you buy from this company is lab created. That being said, it's a quality product at awesome prices. I have ordered many items for years. I don't necessarily believe their appraised values, but that's OK. The items are always beautiful, high quality and great values. There is a truck when shipping with Stauer. If you find something you like and the item is really high, wait a few weeks. They are ALWAYS putting items on sale, and odds are it will be soon.

We were also told that we would be one of the first to get it because we were # 12 on the list. So I called again when we did not hear if it was shipped. Now I was told that it is backordered for another month! I was also told that there is no way to see where we are on the list so we were lied to! This was going to be a Father's day gift. They gave me a tracking number ** which UPS said "not our number". After calling your service on the telephone I was told that I was wrong.. the necklace never came and when I called service again, I was cut off and when I attempted to call back, my calls DID not go through, same with emails.. I was a premier customer (paid for same) but I guess if your service department was not going to send me the purchase and DID not want my business, fine. I have told all my friends of all the above (they were Stauer customers through me) and all agreed with me and that they were going to shop on the tv jewelry program for their purchases in the future.
I am notifying the better business of same. Note I just received a telephone call from a very concerned young lady who has attempted to make amends and who was very concerned of this whole mess! Several years ago, I saw a Stauer Advertisement in the USA Today. I ordered the Hybrid watch and it was truly superior to anything I had anticipated. Unfortunately, we had water damage in the house, and one of the many servicemen who responded took the watch and it was days before I detected it missing. I have ordered bracelets, women's rings, necklaces... all for my wife. Of course, she responded graciously, and appreciated all the gifts. As she wore them, she began to garner compliments, and decided she would now order for herself. She has done that, again and again, the most recent time ordering the TAMU ring for herself for Mother's Day.
Thank you for making beautiful, quality jewelry, and at a very reasonable cost. In addition, you continue to send emails, advertisements in the mail which are all appealing. Not too long ago, we were given a room size rug. It belonged to an older lady who was moving to a smaller place. We had the rug rolled up and in the barn, until the room was painted and re-done. On the day we were going to finish the room, we brought in the carpet and unrolled it. Something caught the corner of my eye, something bright and green. Oh my gosh! It was the prettiest little earring I had ever seen. It was just the right style, and exactly the right size for me. The color was stunning! I LOVED it. I told her son about it, and he told the woman who owned the carpet. She had long ago lost the other ear ring, and didn't want the single one back. That meant I got to keep it. I searched online for about 2 weeks to find out where they came from, but no luck. I even wrote about it on Facebook. I love this perfect little earring so much that I've decided to make a necklace out of it.
Then one day on a whim, I asked her son if he had any idea where his Mom might have bought these earrings. He just smiled and said there is only ONE place where she buys all her jewelry.... Stauer! I checked for a website. There is one! Then I did a search, and THERE THEY WERE! So exciting! They are called *cascade helenite & blue topaz earrings*. I bought the watch 2 years ago from Stauer, online. The first watch stopped operating and I sent it back. A few weeks later Stauer sent me a replacement, which worked. Now, 18 months later the battery died. It is a CR2026 battery. I had a very difficult time prying the back off but finally accomplished it. I installed the new battery. Then, no matter what I did, the back would not snap in place as it should. I was afraid of damaging the plastic crystal so I fabricated a ring that would bot apply pressure to the plastic crystal and used a padded clamp to apply pressure to the back cover.
No matter how much pressure was applied, the back would not snap on. Finally, I checked and the back was bent and ruined. The Stauer brand is very substandard. They look good, and have exciting features but they are poorly made and, even though they are inexpensive, they are more trouble than they are worth. The warranty is expired on mine so I threw it in the trash and will NEVER deal with Stauer again. By the way, there is a slight slit in the back where the watch stem is located. This is a request for refund of the full amount or other reasonable settlement. If my request is not honored, I will begin legal action. I purchased 3 sets of Crimson Jade Set (Item # 27943) for $237.00 plus shipping. I spoke with a Manager, March 31, 2015 - after it was reported to me that the pieces bled red dye on their recipient and recipients clothing. I asked this Stauer Manager why the dye-ing was not divulged as part of the description for the items. No direct answer was given. But I was thrilled when he told me that, the first 500 orders were not washed and that has now been added to the manufacturers process. The washing is simply to rinse in cold water and to dab dry with a paper towel. No color changes have been reported. He recommended washing the stones as described above.
After following his advice the stones continued to bleed on clothing and skin (neck and ears). So far the stones have been washed 6 times and are still bleeding dye. The stones are also changing to a lighter color as the dye is removed. My only option as explained to me was that I could return the 3 sets but this was not possible as they were unfortunately gifted. Legal Considerations. This failure to communicate to me/the customer is a deceptive trade practice. Stauer failed to disclose that the set was treated in a non-permanent way (dyed) which created special care requirements. The color is diminishing at every washing, which makes sense as the water is coming off RED. It is my understanding that in the case of online purchases - disclosure should be made at the point of sale. **

I recently ordered a watch from Stauer. It's terrible. In all fairness, I have not tried to return it yet. I'm hoping it won't be problem. It hasn't kept time since the day I got it, 5 weeks ago. At first it was just a loss of a couple minutes every few days. It then progressed to a loss of 5 minutes a day. Now, the hour hand and the minute hand aren't even in sync. When the hour hand is straight up at the hour, the minute hand is all over the place. I was aware I wasn't buying a Rolex, but I'd have been better off with a watch purchased at the dollar store.

How could I have possibly scratched the crystal, my old Timex has been worn while working on my car and not gotten scratched. I will shelf this watch and may never wear it again. My wife wore it and lost more diamonds. Ring was returned again on 12/9/14. This time it took a long time to have it repaired. When we received it back, it had missing diamonds and some inferior diamonds had also been installed. The ring was returned again on 2/4/15. We still have not received it back. I called ** and every time he had different stories. One time the ring was being repaired. The next time, a new ring was being made. The next time, the ring was supposed to go through his desk before being returned to us and was not.
The last story, was a new ring was resized for my wife and sent to ** for inspection. He found loose diamonds and sent it out to a local jeweler for repair. The last time that I talked with **, I was told that it would be another two weeks. I purchased a tanzanite ring, earrings, and a bracelet for my spouse. The advertising in their brochure does not say these stones are lab created. Instead they say that their tanzanite comes from only one mine. This statement is true regarding tanzanite that comes from the ground. This is not true, when the stones are lab created.
I wanted to get a great buy on this jewelry, but if it was clearly stated that their stones are lab created, I would not have purchased. I was misled by their ads, and their salespeople that their tanzanite was the real thing. You get what you pay for, and in this case, I got high quality costume jewelry when I thought I was getting the real thing.
Beware of this company because they do not clearly state that their jewelry is lab created, and this I consider to be less than honest advertising. Remember, you get what you pay for, and this company does not sell you any bargains, although they sure make you think so with their slick advertising.

Stauer only offers to repair one of them because the other is discontinued and they won't fix or exchange it, my tough luck...good for trash now. Shoddy products and poor customer service. I recently purchased a ring for $150 and was charged $19.95 to ship it. I complained to the company that their shipping charges are excessive for shipping such a small item. I complained that their charges are based on price instead of the size and weight of the item and they use the cheapest form of shipping, USPS. If I purchased the same ring for twice the price they would charge me twice the cost for shipping. When most companies today offer free shipping when the cost of the item is over a certain amount usually $150 but not Stauer.
Instead they charge customers excessive fees and keep adding it up higher the higher the cost of the item. Instead of offering me a reason for their high shipping fees they simply referred me to their page that shows the shipping fees, which is what I was complaining about in the first place. I doubt I will buy from this company again. I hope when I receive my ring it's what was advertised as I hope not to fight for a refund.

I received an email offering a very special promotion on a "Rock of Love Blue Heart Pendant", at $12.25 (supposedly a small fraction of the regular price!). Nowhere on the ad did I see the size of the pendant (I remember specifically looking for the size and could not find it), but the picture was rather large, filling up about a quarter of my relatively high resolution computer screen. I bought 3: one for my wife, one for my daughter-in-law, and one for my grand-daughter. When I opened the package I saw 3 bags inside measuring over 3" by 4". At first I thought the bags were empty. After more careful inspection I found a pendant in each bag. The pendant was less than 3/8" wide with no chain (although there was a chain in the picture and nothing in the ad saying the chain was not included).
I would return the merchandise, but Stauer's warranty says something about refunding the $8.00 return shipping and the original purchase price, but they will not refund the original shipping and handling. From that I assume it would cost me $8.00 to return the merchandise, which Stauer will then refund (assuming the returned merchandise meets all of their return criteria!). I had bought some pendants from Stauer before, so I suspected the chain would not be included; but I sure didn't expect the pendant to be so small! I was not totally satisfied with previous purchases, but I foolishly bit once more. I am resolved now to never buy something from Stauer again.
For what you get from Stauer I believe you can get equal quality at equal price at department stores such as Pennies or Wal-Mart, especially when the shipping and handling from Stauer is included and the department stores have special sales. Also, the pendants purchased from a department store usually come with chains! In my experience, the chains offered by Stauer are quite expensive (at least in relation to a $12.25 pendant). So in my opinion a similar pendant with a chain that cost $20.00 to $25.00 in a department store would be less expensive than comparable items from Stauer.

I then noticed that there were several charges on my credit card that did not reflect my purchases. I talked to at least 5 different people in Stauer's accounting department requesting clarifications of those charges. Three of these people were rude and condescending, and the other two though they promised that they would look into it, and get back to me, they never did. Though the charges on my credit card didn't make any sense, I believe that what they did is that they charged the full amount, for all items ordered, and then they re-charged them individually once they became available for shipment.
Having exhausted all reasonable efforts, I called American Express and disputed the charges. All of a sudden that drew their attention. Few days ago I received a statement that is even more confusing than before. The actual printed statement doesn't accurately reflect the charges to my credit card. It took 11 weeks to get to me (and it was sent to me without the free earrings because I practically begged the representative to check if there were any rings in my size because my wedding is next month). When I received the ring, the first thing I noticed was that it did not look like the picture at all. The center stone is huge, and it definitely looks different than advertised. I thought it looked like something you would get out of a gumball machine. But that wasn't it.
The center stone was loose and when I shook the ring, I could hear it rattle. Also, there were scratches on the band as if someone had worn it for a week or two, decided they didn't want it, sent it back then it was sold to me as if it was new. This whole experience was very upsetting for me because this was supposed to be my engagement ring. I ordered through Stauer because I wanted to avoid the blood-diamond trade; however, I feel scammed and silly for thinking this was a good alternative. I feel less embarrassed wearing the $8 Walmart ring I bought as a place holder (which has better prongs, by the way), than this real ring.

1 gram platinum ingot necklace - I received this as a gift. My mom paid over $400.00 for it. What a ripoff. The price of a 1 gram platinum ingot is currently $51.00. The metal object holding the ingot is silver plated and is corroding and losing the finish. My mother is obsessed with this company. They call her all the time with deals. I'm going to warn her about this company. Thieves. I am surprised they are advertised in quality magazines.

My husband bought me a set of heart created rubies, earrings, pendant and ring. They looked beautiful at first. My ears closed and so I didn't wear the earnings for a while. We moved a couple years later and I misplaced the necklace. I found it in its box in the back of my dresser instead of my jewelry box. As a result, I didn't wear all the pieces together for a couple of years. When I found the necklace, I put them all together and found that the rubies no longer matched. They had lightened in color; one was almost pink and none of them was wearable together. Natural rubies don't do that. Stauer claims they are superior. This is an excerpt of their advertisement for another created ruby set. They still sell this set. I found them on their website. Their claim is fraudulent. We don't ooh and ahh and they are not exact rubies.
They should be sued for false advertising. I tried to contact them about replacing my stones. All they did was apologize for not being able to do anything. In one email, they said that they don't manufacture the gems; they are only a catalog company. So I asked who does manufacture them so that I could complain to them for their shoddy workmanship. Then they came back and said that they have them manufactured. It sounds like they are responsible but not taking responsibility.
Stauer has spoken with Nilay who fails to inform you that the products are five years old. We being Stauer stand behind our products however there has to be a point when the consumer takes on responsibility. We do apologize we do not offer life time warranties along with 1000's of other companies. We do try to work with customers however when all they want is a full refund from five years ago that is not even negotiating.

The first bad experience involved ordering their watches. After 5 months, it stopped working properly. Specifically, the hands on the dials became misaligned and the watch face detached. I should have expected as much for a piece of junk made in China despite their high praise and fantastical description on their website and glossy catalog. The second bad experience was the purchase of the Celestial Sapphire necklace. I opened the package to discover the item contained numerous defects. Specifically, the item was scratched in several places and unpolished in other places. These defects were quite visible in normal light and could have easily been seen had Stauer conducted a simple quality control inspection. This is a far cry from how the product appeared in their glossy catalog, i.e. polished and unscratched. It is clear that they do not conduct quality control of the items that they sell and that many of the items involve inferior production in China. Buy at your own tolerance for disappointment.

Stauer Corso Watch is the worst watch ever! It constantly needs to be wound up, especially if it sits for more than 11 hours on your desk. You never know the right time because the "handset" pin always pops out slightly, stopping the time or rolling the hands back. It's the biggest piece of junk ever made! Do not buy!

My son bought a ring for his engagement 45 days ago for the price of $139.99 plus tax/shipping and handling, a total of $156.00. Today, we received an advertising magazine showing the same ring for $39.99. How can the price drop $100 in 45 days?

My husband gave me a ruby necklace for Christmas (2010) from Stauer for $145 plus insurance coverage. The second time I attempted to wear the necklace in June 2012, it broke. I returned it for an exchange. When the exchange arrived, it looked nothing like the one I returned. I called customer service and was told the original necklace was discontinued, that I could have a store credit if I returned the exchange, which I did the following day. Because of their 30-day return policy, I have one option, choose an item I'm not happy with and if I don't select something that costs less than $145, pay additional shipping and handling. That is what I'll do. What I won't do is recommend Stauer to anyone. Their business practices are not customer friendly by any means.

I just tried to send one reply and it was refused because I did not use one of the address blanks. This time, I entered the city twice, so it isn't blank! I feel like I was scammed. I bought the Tanzanite cluster ring (now listed on special as $199), and a Tanzanite cluster pendant (now listed at $299) plus a couple pair of earrings - probably for free, but essentially $25 for handling and shipping. Because I decided I no longer wanted them, I sent them to a jewelry company for sale. Their offer was $25.00 for everything!

An advertisement in National Geographic Magazine for Stauer said this "automatic 27 jewel watch" was a redesigned replica of the original French/Swiss "masterpiece". They made a big deal out of the millions they spent on the Swiss machinery used in the production of the watch. The watch was just under $100 plus at $25 shipping. When the first watch arrived, the adjustment buttons on the side fell off when trying to set the time, day and date. I sent it back, told them I was not satisfied. No refund, another watch. Okay, then I looked at the back of the watch and saw "movement made in China". Nowhere in their ad in Nat Geo did they ever say anything about China.
Apparently, these are cheap auto movement Chinese knockoffs that you can buy for $10-$15 in Asia. The gold finish has tarnished and flaked off. The genuine leather strap has broken after less than 6 months use. The month indicator is stuck on February (will not move and will not adjust). Another quality product from China aka Stauer. I realize that I'm a gullible fool, but I assumed that National Geographic Magazine would not let an unethical advertiser pull a scam in their magazine. By the way, Stauer is a regular advertiser with Nat Geo. Let the "buyer beware" is certainly appropriate when it comes to this unethical company.

I got a necklace and a pair of earrings as gift as they couldn't cost more than $1, extremely poor quality. I'm mad because I didn't listen to my husband and enrolled in their club program only to have $200 practically down the drain. It's about a year and I have not seen anything I liked too. I used $50 of that $200 to buy a gem necklace. When I received it, it was not the color that I wanted, so I returned and there went my $50 coupon, which I had to call to request it to be reimbursed. Definitely not a place to do good business and will refer it to no one.

I bought two items, one was pearls for free, but had to pay $24 to ship, and a second item on the same order was leaves dipped in gold, on a chain. This stuff is pure junk. They are not worth more than $1. They are crooks. They offered to give me my money back. If I send it back, it will cost me more money. I was embarrassed in front of my wife, for giving her this junk for her birthday, and I am out the money.

I too was suckered into buying the "beautiful" Amethyst necklace. Seriously, my 5 year old granddaughter could have done a better job making this. It's not worth shipping back, $8.00 deducted from total. Clam clasp tied on with thread, no connector, just clasps into the small chain. Very cheaply made. I would be embarrassed to give this as a gift. Uneven spacing of stones. ** experience. I can't believe that they were talking about "losing" money on this offer. It seems that they made a boat load of money on shipping alone.

You know when they say that when an offer is too good to be true, it is? Well, that is definitely the case with these "free" jewelry offers from Stauer. I ordered 3 "free" items in October; I only had to pay the ludicrous $24.99 "shipping and processing fee" for each piece. I received all three junky pieces in December all thrown together in a first class envelope, no boxes, and that's how it should have arrived because every piece looks like a piece of junk! The dime store clasp on the amber heart pendant is a real piece of work and the amethyst necklace looks like something my child could make with a bead kit. I also ordered a set of pearls, more junk. Oh, and this stuff is not returnable because you only pay the $24.99 shipping fee. I am sure this cost about $3.00 to ship to me, not the $75 I paid Stauer! Never again will I order anything from this company, and you can be sure that I will make sure my family, friends, co-workers, etc. see the junk they are advertising as costing in the hundreds of dollars. Just terrible!

I purchased a set of Jewelry from the Stauer Company that was advertised in the NRA magazine American Hunter. It was a ring, bracelet, earrings, and necklace, all totaling $399.00. It was advertised that their science has found a way to duplicate the diamond. I made the purchase for a Christmas gift, but held it till April for a birthday gift instead. When my wife saw the jewelry, she thought it was way too much for the product received. She called it "high price costume jewelry". She called the company and asked if any of the jewelry was real, and the spokesperson was very rude, and said yes it was good jewelry. My wife said sterling silver always has a mark stating sterling silver, and this did not have any such markings on it. We packed it up and sent it back to the company with a letter inside stating why we sent it back, and expected a full refund.
Stauer decided to send it back to us with no explanation of any kind. So we sent it back again with an additional letter stating that we did not want the jewelry or want it shipped back again. We notified the credit card company, but they said too much time had passed for them to hold payment. After waiting two months, I called Stauer and asked why I haven't received my credit or payment.
They again, were very rude and said flat out I would never get my money returned, and when asked about the jewelry, they stated they never received the return, and hung up. Because I never sent it insured, or FedEx, or UPS, there was no tracking ability by sending it by regular mail. Now, I have no jewelry, and I am out $400.00. Since I purchased it using the advertisement in the NRA magazine, I called the NRA to invoke their help. For over two years now, I have never obtained the right department that could help me. I don't have the jewelry, and I'm out $399.00. I'm at wit's end here.
