I would not reorder from Stauer again for a gift with a timeline. I made a purchase on 2/19/26 for 3 items and they shipped 1 and added all the extra charges insurance, shipping on all 3 items to inflate the bill. Every time I call the say expect in 2 weeks and will be shipped after than in no more than 10 days. Called today 5/4/26 and was told the same. Very very poor.

This company is a big ripoff. They charged me $20 for shipping and handling and $5 for insurance (what is "handling" then?) for a tiny pendant, so my $59 pendant ending up costing $90, and it is not worth it. But if I want to return it, which I do, they will charge me $15. And their customer service is awful - no response to an on-line message I sent them telling them that the chain that I was supposed to get for free wasn't included, and then when I called, the person I spoke to just kept saying I placed the order incorrectly with no attempt to help me. Awful!

Kara ** was one of the best and most patient support reps that I have ever worked with. She knew everything about my Atomic watch and was very precise and patient with me as I followed her instructions. My issue was resolved to my satisfaction after I had been trying to set the correct time over the past 3 to 4 days. She is "Simply the Best"!!

Do not buy a watch from Stauer,! They may look good and pricing is attractive, but they stop working after 8-10 months. I've purchased 6 watches and every single one is now junk. I don't recommend any watch from Stauer. They are inferior and a waste of money.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! I bought a ring and the stone promptly fell out, I ordered MULTIPLE items that I later was told were sold out. The information online is NOT current. You go to the trouble of ordering, and it looks like they have it in stock BUT THEY OFTEN DONT. In addition, at least six of my orders NEVER ARRIVED!! I was billed for them and it showed I was getting them that day and it never comes! Twice it was shipped to the fictitious wrong address. When I called to cancel, I was told it was coming, blah, blah and it never did. I called again to cancel and get a refund, after waiting 30 minutes they cut me off!!!

It’s been a while but I previously ordered quite often. There is no honest way to complain about Stauer as the very reasonable prices of their jewelry is the reason I used to buy! I take care of all my jewelry and still use many of my Stauer pieces after almost 10 years. My one disappointment was the rather high delivery cost that seems to be a set delivery cost for jewelry. For some reason when I ordered a few pieces they often did not come at the same time and delivery was charged each time. I may be mistaken but I will be sure to request a hold and wait until my order is complete and pay 1 delivery charge. Other than that you cannot go wrong with STAUER!

Updated on 01/23/2026: This is a follow up to my original review re: the Stauer Tactical Watch. I would like to update my review of Stauer. I received an email advising they would be more than happy to exchange the watch, at my convenience. I will post my final review after all is completed. And, while viewing my credit card statement I observed that there was a $20.00 USD credit issued from Stauer. All good! Thank you.

I am returning some items, Aaron is an employee of Stauer and he did an outstanding job. He listens very carefully and tells the customer what to do. I am 89 years old, retired from the USAF in 1977 and went into real estate in 1978. Retired from Real Estate in 2020. I mentioned my careers because I know outstanding. And Aaron is totally outstanding!

I have purchased many pieces from Stauer. I have been trading these negative reviews and I am sorry to hear that people have had problems. When you order these pieces, depending on which catalogue you order from, you have to keep in mind what you are buying. Are you buying genuine turquoise or howlite? Well, their catalogue tells you!! My concierge is a great guy. I have never had a problem that wasn't solvable. I did order a howlite bracelet that I wasn't happy with.... but all my other jewelry has been very nice and I'm proud to wear it. For me, it's everyday wear. I wear it all the time and it's held up great. You want solid gold, you have to pay for that. If you want a beautiful stone at an affordable price, you get plated materials. Stauer does sell nice jewelry... you pay for it and it's marked differently than their more affordable pieces. I have no complaints.

Skylar is the type of employee you want to deal with when you have a problem! She is very efficient and listens and does her job very well. I would recommend her for a promotion as I would hire her if I were in business today. Stauer is a very well run company overall but I had a problem on an order and a back order we had to discuss. She took care of everything and I am satisfied.

Called to see if backordered merchandise would arrive in time for Christmas. The rep gave my order priority when they obtain the merchandise. The Rep could not have been nicer or more accommodating. Very personal and professional. I plan to order more from Stauer in the future. Five stars to the rep.

On a phone call when I was inquiring about an offer, which I declined. I asked about the "free" Lusso necklace. When they told me the shipping & handling fees I also declined it. So I was surprised when it came in the mail anyway. In addition, I don't like its color either.

Giving a 3 because of the issues I am having with a backorder. I have sent 4 emails, all received a bs form letter, I had direct contact with a rep that said, "Any issues text me". All have been unanswered. The BO item is in the new catalogs too. I just want what I ordered, it has been 2 months. When I called the hold time was over an hour! Is that a joke or what?

This company is one of the worst I have ever dealt with. The product was not cheap yet it is like a bubble gum machine quality. Poor quality and they had very bad customer service. My husband bought this for me as a gift and it fell apart the first time I wore it. The catalog looks beautiful but beware of buying anything from them.

Purchased a nice looking ring from STAUER. 1st time I grabbed the railing on a city stairway the chrome finish scratched off my ring. Took it to a highly rated jeweler and he laughed. He stated that these are very cheap, poorly plated rings. I've seen better rings in a gumball machine.

I purchased a ring on sale for $59 -- which turned into an $88 purchase after taxes and fees, such as insurance/shipping/handling/handling and shipping and more handling/more shipping/buyer portion of the employee who filled the order that day/other fees we charge because naive' customers mindlessly pay them/secondary insurance/etc. My wife didn't like the ring so I returned it the next day, within Stauer's stated 30-day return guarantee. The "refund" was credited about a month later: $47. Doing the math, the transaction cost $70. In other words, I paid $70 for NOTHING: no ring ... no product ... nothing; Stauer made $70 in fees on the transaction -- without my actually receiving ANYTHING in return other than being serviced by Stauer. After losing $70 in the transaction, we now receive the Stauer catalogue -- more junk mail to immediately throw away.

Terrible quality!!! I bought three tennis bracelets a while back. None of the clasps hold and they are missing the little arms that assure they don’t fall off. Really a waste of money!!! Don’t waste your time or money!!

I have made several purchases from Stauer in the past, and was satisfied...until I wasn't. I ordered a pair of gold puffed heart earrings. When they arrived one was noticeably worn (the gold was worn off along the edges) and both earrings had that green appearance to them where the pierce wire meets the skin. I returned them for a refund and explained they were worn. I am certain I sent them back the day after I received them. Still, they were shipped back to me stating they would not refund them because they were worn! And so, I stopped making purchases from them. Note that all pieces are gold or silver clad and not meant to be worn all the time.

My 87 year old mother bought me this set for Christmas. I think she was ripped off, but I don't have the heart to tell her. It is obviously fake, the silver, the turquoise - everything. It also arrived late, so she couldn't even give it to me on Christmas. I feel awful because I know she doesn't have the money for this. She thinks it's real silver. I am furious, but I don't know what to do about it.

I've been a customer for years and years. I like the savings from the discounts that I get in the mail for being a platinum member as well as the variety. Stauer has a good selection. However, there are items that are not up to par with what I expect. I just ordered 10 of the survival packs for Christmas gifts for males in my family and they were much smaller and seemed like they were cheaper than I had thought they would be. The jewelry I find is much better.

I bought this watch about 6 months ago and love it! The looks are outstanding and it is my favorite watch. I have Seiko, Gruen (vintage Veri-Thin), Citizen’s, Circa Tank, Tissot and Bulova Lunar Pilot. I keep it on a winder when not in use and it keeps time very well. I use it for dress occasions. No complaints from me and would not hesitate to add more of their watches to my collection. Tim

Everything went smoothly. It was easy to find online what I wanted to check out. My grandfather-in-law likes the watches and bracelets.

Hate to do this as it was gift for my sister. I asked about the type of metal and why it was over 200. I was told the gold chain was made of solid gold. It arrived broken! No call back from customer service and I'm out 250 after their 30 dollar shipping.

I've gotten a lot of rings, earrings, some necklaces and bracelets from Stauer. Most are okay, but some of them had been hit-and-miss. I've gotten a few that had been poor quality. I got a butterfly necklace and earrings set for Christmas from my dad. The butterfly necklace turned colors even though I only wore it occasionally and for very short periods of time.

While Stauer ads may be appealing, the prices are not what they initially appear. I was attracted to a recent ad, for mostly jewelry, that showed the price for all items being $19. When I contacted them, I was informed that to buy these I also had to pay for shipping, handling and insurance that totaled over $46. The shipping and handling cost alone was the same price as the merchandise. For an small item like that, I could ship anywhere for $5.

I bought two retrograde watches from them. One worked, one didn't. They were upfront and said that their return process sucks (not their exact words) but they told me that my non working watch would take 5-7 weeks to process for return. They also said that once they received it, it could stay in 'processing' for two weeks, before anyone looked at it. Right at the two week mark after they received the return, I sent an email inquiring about the status... I received a somewhat snide reply, basically saying, "we told you to wait!". Other than that, once I ordered, I receive no less than 8 emails a week from them selling their products... As soon as I get my watch back, I'll never order again, and block their emails.

I had an amazing experience. The jewelry selection in the store was exquisite, and the personnel was very knowledgeable and friendly. They made thoughtful suggestions after taking the time to learn what I was searching for. There was no pressure to buy, and the shopping procedure was easy and pleasurable. The Jewel was of exceptional quality.

So far, my experience with Stauer Jewelry has been good. However, there's one piece I've been waiting on for three months now. And I continue to see it advertised in the catalog. I think to myself, "Why are they doing that if that's out of stock?" But I spoke to a concierge this morning. And they're always very polite and helpful. Most of the jewelry is nice, too. Some are cheap. They're pretty good quality for the price.

The store is beautiful and Salesperson is the very best! From the moment you walk in the door, it’s a great experience. And, with Salesperson, it’s like having a personal jeweler. She will make sure you find the perfect piece every time.

When I get Stauer Jewelry's catalog, I look the item up online to get a better look at it, and if I like it, I buy it. Their items have been just the way they represented them, and their service has been good. They tell me when my order is gonna be delivered, and it's there. Everything for the most part has been okay, with the exception of a Christmas gift I bought my wife. It was an Italian chain with three little balls on it. It came back knotted, and we can't get the chain undone. Stauer Jewelry sent me a survey, and I typed back what the problem was, but nobody ever got back to me. I have had no problems with Stauer Jewelry at all other than that necklace.
