I received my semi-annual statement of auto premium paid from July, 2018 through January, 2019 on which was printed NO PAYMENT DUE, along with the proof of insurance carry cards on early June. Nearly an oversight on my part, I called to remind the agent to adjust my bank debit so only the life policy premiums were debited. First response to me was that my information was not truthful and that I was in error. The agent threatened to lapse the auto coverage if I didn't provide the evidence of my having paid the premiums despite my telling her the premiums were being taken over by my fiancé who lives in Ohio and is consolidating our insurances as we merge our budgets and that I don't have a cancelled check to send as my proof of the coverage.

I sent the agent copies of my premium notice saying NO PAYMENT DUE and the Proof of Coverage carry cards showing the coverage was paid through January 2019. The response from the agent then was to allude to my having altered the documents, and insisting that I prove that my documents were not fraudulent or fraudulently obtained though the very documents were mailed TO ME from the THEIR office! The insinuation was that I had created counterfeit documents rather than considering that the agency may have an employee who has pilfered funds which the agency cannot reconcile and alluding to my lack of integrity. Into the second week of the ongoing dispute, they sent me a bill marked "PAYMENT DUE" with the addition of "DISREGARD ALL PREVIOUS INFORMATION" and demanding that I remit the same amount of the PAID PREMIUM, ($937) or $240 (rounded) by July 1 or my coverage would lapse.

Whatever happened to cultivating "goodwill" as a tenet of customer service and "the customer is always right"? I've never made a claim, been late or given our insurance business to another company in the 10 years I've been covered by State Farm. I cannot believe the agency will not give me the benefit of the doubt instead of demanding that I prove their proof of insurance sent to me is authentic. Talking to and treating a good customer like a crook is the Dave ** State Farm way, apparently. BUYERS BEWARE; you can get equal coverage for much less money and not be insulted.

Incompetency is (truly) one thing. (A woman said that I could get communications through *both* email and text when only one option was possible, and then failed to save my phone number as a cell even though we went over that.) However, putting a number that relates to a silly promotion about the Bahamas is something entirely different. That's because the number is supposed to be for calling when it is incorrect that one does not have accounts set up to be viewed online. Also, you can't set your account for claims payouts to be electronic. So the default is actually snail mail.

Updated on 08/07/2018: Management's response to complaints ended up in something worse. An individual in management called me about the complaints twice at 12:59 p.m. MST Aug. 6 (and again, twice, just 57 minutes later -- that's rather harassing). A poor associate emailed me about sending my insurance payout via snail mail even though I took the time to set up my profile on StateFarm.com weeks earlier to have the payout be sent electronically to my bank. He said that this guy who called me four times in just 57 minutes had talked with him.

Way to go, State Farm management. You dealt with issues by creating another issue. You may just want to follow the user's preferences that they took the time to set up on your own website. Seems that doing anything otherwise wouldn't be customer satisfaction. Then add on to that that this was State Farm management's way to handle other issues. (And for what it is worth, no, State Farm management -- for me, snail mail will not be faster than electronic transfer. I doubt how often it would be for anyone, but not me also since my agent lives hours away.)

I've been with SF since 1999 continuously and also before that with a short gap in companies. When my son got licensed, our FL SF agent worked hard to get me the very best rate she could and I couldn't have been more pleased. Since our relocation to Rossville, GA in 2015, we've had one frustration after another and haven't ever felt the agent was working to get us the lowest cost possible. We've never really had our questions answered. I stay with them for my great history with them, but if this agency was my only experience I would have left them within a few months. They're just terrible. State Farm has been good at paying my claims which is the only reason I continue to put up with them here and now.

I found out last year in March of 2017 from MVA that I did not have insurance and upon investigating discovered that my payments were going to another policyholder. It took over 4 months of going back and forth to be re-issued a new policy, being routed to 'underwriter' who could not explain to me what the holdup was, and during this time communicating with State Farm Corporate headquarters, their people were very unhelpful to the point of being downright rude. I did not feel as if they were a 'good neighbor'. Then in February, my rates went up, and I was told that they increased their rates. I have not had a ticket or accident in 5 years but now I am paying $50 more per month because 'their rates went up'.

Fast forward to today, I was told that I was still one month behind because the large payment I made to bring my account current did not accomplish that. To add insult to injury, part of that payment was held in 'reserve' so I now owed 2 payments in order to bring my account current. I believe State Farm's incompetence, and their horrible way of doing business just serves to bring them more money, they are not interested in helping to keep your costs down, or keeping you as a customer, because it is mandatory that we, the consumer, must have insurance coverage. Looking for another company.

As soon as we were divorced I went back to them. State Farm is an excellent company. They were always there to answer all of my questions. Their customer service personnel were always so very kind, courteous, and respected me. I would still be with them except when I had to move to WV. For the exact same coverage I had in Texas they want me to pay double. I imagine it is the driving conditions in WV that make the rates so very high. I have only had one accident in my 56 years of driving and that was not my fault way back in my early 40s. That was over 30 years ago. No tickets! I really love State Farm, just cannot afford them in WV.

I just lost my mother and aunt in the time frame of a week. I am traveling overseas to go and bury them and my payment is due but I won't be able to make it until I return. I spoke to a representative Adrien in the Nanuet, NY branch not once but three times and all three times he gave me the same information because I don't want to come back and have my policy cancelled. He said he would Withdraw and put it as no use until I get back and make the payment and he said that would be fine.

As I am in my way to the airport I get a called from a representative named Steve and he says my policy is going to get cancelled if I don't pay. I made him aware that I fixed this with Adrien and he confirm that I was able to make that payment when I return. He says, "Well he gave you the wrong information." I told him that, "You guys need to be compassionate and realize that I am on my way to bury two loves of my life." I'm not thinking about State Farm right now. I am upset and when I return I will be finding another insurance company.

Don't trust these people, I made that mistake and now my insurance is going because of this person. What goes around comes around though. State Farm's local agent neglected to tell me that State Farm no longer pays diminished value. Considering that I valuable and collector status cars, a bad CarFax can cost me thousands in real dollars. They even dropped simple windshield chip repairs. Worse, the day a 100 pound chunk of metal fell off of a truck striking another car and then mine, because I couldn't chase down the culprit (due to a blown radiator), the "comprehensive" claim is being partially denied... next time I will drive at 100 MPH (just kidding) to catch the perpetrator and destroy my car in the process... GRRR.

Even worse, State Farm took 3 hours and 24 minutes to get a tow truck to the site. The other car, covered by Geico had a tow truck in 30 minutes. It was 110 degrees outside that day. And State Farm wouldn't let me use the same company Geico used. So three more hours passed before State Farms tow truck arrived from 55 miles away. There were 13 closer tow companies.

The State Farm agents available on the claims hotline need training period. I called to inquire about my rental car coverage and was told that the security deposit would be 50.00 once the reservation was made. When I called Hertz to ask about the security deposit they informed it would be 250.00 plus the fee for the rental. I called State Farm back with this information and I was told that the 250.00 is correct and that I can only use Enterprise or Hertz. I called Enterprise who informed that once State Farm does the reservation the reservation number would reduce the security deposit to 50.00. I call State Farm for the THIRD time to clarify all the info I had been given. The State Farm agent confirmed the information that the Enterprise agent provided over the phone to me and she also informed that the agent I last spoke with had cancelled the reservation for Hertz. The agent had to make another reservation with Hertz towards the end of the call.

This is very unfortunate. The agents should have knowledge of their job description. What are they being paid for? To give customers headaches? This was a simple process that turned into something complex due to a lack of information provided. I am very dissatisfied with the claims process. Hopefully this message does not fall on deaf ears but I wouldn't be surprised if it does.

I understand they need to protect the driver I made the claim against but that doesn't justify them treating me that way and continuing to be treated as an uncalled customer. Be prepared to have to get all paperwork and police records for them and do it quickly cause they are not in a hurry, also make sure your full coverage includes car rental 'cause mine did not. My car antenna (looks like a shark fin) was damaged by debris that flew off a truck on the highway. The antenna came off and some dents were on the outside of the car. I reported the claim to State Farm and none of the Lexus dealership body shops in my area were in their program, so I drove almost an hour away to AutoNation Collision Center in West Palm Beach. When the car was supposedly ready I arrived to find the inside of my car covered in dirty prints that looked like grease or oil and the headline was bent from end to end.

The service writer told me he never noticed and wanted me to take the car and bring it back when they get a headliner in a few weeks. I called Lexus from the shop and was told it was available overnight. I told the shop and they said they must have gotten wrong information. I left the car at the same AutoNation Collison center giving them a second opportunity to repair the car.

AutoNation texted me on Friday that the car was ready. It was not. I was told the car would be ready Friday and I could pick it up Friday or Saturday. I arrived about 10:00 am on Saturday and was told it was not ready as they had just but the windshield back in Saturdays morning at it had to cure. About 1:00 I left with my car... The shop broke the light in the passenger side door, the headliner has bumps under it and the car is noisy, the windshield has bubbles around the edge, the navigation screen is not the same and the trim panels no longer match up.

I called State Farm and told them about the problems and refuse to have AutoNation Collision work on my car a third time. The State Farm Rep met me at JM Lexus in Pompano refused to repair my car because AutoNation worked on it. I called North Miami Lexus who is in the State Farm program and they will not work on my car either because the damage was done by AutoNation. The State Farm Representative was unable to locate a shop that would do what he called "corrective repairs” he told me to have State Farm write a supplement and take the car to any shop vs telling the shop it was for corrective repairs.

Now weeks later, he changed his mind and told that State Farm has no control over the shops and his company pays money, they do not repair cars and now explains to me I need to open a second claim for vandalism for which my deductible will apply for damages caused by AutoNation Collision of West Palm Beach because the repairs are from the shop and not my original claim from flying debris. This is NOT how State Farm explains their program works. They did not tell me that they write checks and do not get involved in the repair process when I reported the claim. I called AutoNation Customer Service and they told me they would investigate and call me back. That was weeks ago. This has been a horrible experience for which has left me very frustrated.

Their insurance rates are very affordable too. And I have used their vehicle towing service and car rental feature while my car has been in the shop. They're just a phone call away any time I need them and Tabitha is usually who I speak to.

My husband went to get the policy so I'm not sure what all he had to do but other insurance companies seem to make you jump through hoops. While they are stable, my insurance should take into account that I only drive my car 2 days a week and not very far as a norm. I feel I should pay a lot less since this is the case.

I have State Farm insurance and overall they're great. Cheapest I could find in my name, quotes are always easy to get too and I'm able to add whomever I need to under my insurance without a dime towards the policy. The process of purchasing the insurance was easy, didn't take long for them to take down my information and then have my car insured. While I'm satisfied with the outcome, I wish the payments were cheaper than they are now. It's just hard being a single parent with fixed income having to pay over $300 for full coverage, and for liability it's still $100 or more. Sometimes their prices are a little outrageous. But I tend to use them for as long as I can, unless a cheaper insurance company comes my way, then I'll strongly changed my insurance company.

My 2015 is still in their system as a 2014. If an accident occurred my car is not insured although it is, even though they have been asked to make this correction for several months now. And they are being paid. Also, at renewal the agent told me to continue paying the same thing. A few months later I received a cancellation notice for none payment. In addition, one of his representative harassed me by calling me continuously until I threatened a civil suit, telling me my license had been suspended. I constantly told her it was not. Turns out she mixed up my ID with someone else. She informed me of her error, but did not apologize. Neither did her boss. I am looking for another company.

They have taken care of us well and not given us any trouble when we've had to file claims. I hit another car in our complex's parking lot. State Farm paid for a rental during the time our car was being inspected for damage. When they eventually totaled out the car, they extended the rental. They issued us a check that was more than enough to cover rental charges we incurred while we were looking for a replacement vehicle, completely pay for another vehicle, registration and initial repair costs. During the course of the claim, we found a lot of irregularities in our policies. They were correctly quickly and resulted in credits issued for overpayments.

We have everything insured with State Farm: two autos, home, and jewelry. We are told that we receive a multiple-line discount but it seems that we still pay a high price for the coverage we receive. For example, my car is 13 years old and we're still paying $400+ per year. I've never had an accident or driving violation. However, I am 69 years old so perhaps it's more of an issue of age discrimination.

We filed a claim several years ago for hail damage to our roof. Our agent was so angry with me when I spoke with him that he hung up on me. This was the only claim we filed other than a road service claim that was filed with a different agent. That claim was handled well. We also have a new agent who doesn't respond to his e-mails and that is disturbing and shows a lack of good customer service.

He was behind upright hood, telling me when to do so. He caught fire & I saw nothing (hood was up). His glasses burst off his head and cracked. I was clueless what was going on til I saw him past the hood running, screaming. Work was willing to call it workers' comp since we used our own vehicles to go to job sites. I was uncomfortable with that since while I had been in transit between a job site and the office, my colleague was volunteering to help with a non-job-related vehicle malfunction. It would have happened, and I would have needed assistance. Workers' Comp did agree to pay. Even so, so did State Farm. Amazing! ‘Nuff said?

There’s more: I insisted, due to feeling responsible for the whole cray-cray mishap, that we go with State Farm’s willingness to assist instead of Workers' Comp. I have been with State Farm since 1990. That occurred in 2003. There was never a penalty applied for this mishap. No rate increase. No decision to drop me. Just support. My kind of world. This year I was busy and didn't fill out their form, and I get a notice that my rates will be increased for failure to reply. I take the form to the office (I drove 7,286 miles) last year, but the form "asks" to estimate this year's mileage. I put down 10,000 miles which is below the national average, and I'm told that my rates would be jacked up because it exceeds the 7500 mile limits for my "low mileage rate"...which isn't that low considering I have bundled home, 2 cars, and motorcycle. At least she says she will take it back down to the 7500 miles mark.

As many others on here, I have been with SF for 30 years with no claims, tickets, accidents. I asked when this processes started because I have never had to go through this until I moved to Nevada. She replied, "well some things change"... I agreed with her and said "some things will change on my side as well"... Looking for new company, even it comes out lateral payments. So tired of being bond to insurance companies.

I had an auto accident that resulted in total loss, but when trying to evaluate my car's worth they kept adding cars that are significantly of less value to lower the final price. On the first evaluation, they compared my car to soft top convertibles which are thousands of dollars less than the hardtop convertible that I had. They also omitted optional part that costs over $3000.

On the second evaluation they compared it to two hardtop convertibles, but they threw in another soft top convertible again. Two of these three cars were also corporate fleet vehicles that are generally significantly less in price. On third and final evaluation they it compared to hardtop convertibles, but threw in another corporate fleet vehicle in the comparison. It was taking way too long, so I decided to accept their evaluation.

They sent out a check to me many weeks later, but they decided to send me over $1,000 less than what they told me. They apologized for the "mistake" and sent me a new check, but they decided to write down wrong name this time. They apologized again and told me a new check will be sent. It feels like they are deliberately toying with their own customer, and if they are not it shows how incompetent they are. Get an insurance card emailed or faxed instantly. No hassle. But I would suggest maybe an option of parked in the garage (no miles). For a vehicle parked in the garage but you want insurance in case something happens to it. And maybe an option if drove less than 10,000 miles a year. Also if you only have 2 drivers but four vehicles, there should be a bigger discount per extra vehicle.

From smallest thing to a large claim it was taken care of. The claims are handled quickly with excellent and efficiency. He always kept you informed at all times, you never had to call back. Always pleasant and courteous with the right amount of compassion for each situation. I always received a Birthday and Christmas card. I had an accident last June 2017, was not my fault. I was rear ended and the force was so hard I ran into the car in front of me. The lady who hit me told State Farm that someone hit her and took off and didn't have any info on that driver. They did not send an adjuster to her house to take pictures of her vehicle because she refused to send her pictures. It took them almost two months to finally see it was her fault. No damage was done to her car. She lied about being hit in the back. Now I have been in another accident as of May 12. The lady hit me by leaving her right lane into my lane and hit me but she said it was my fault.

State Farm is my insurance. They are suppose to fight for their customers (me). They have accused me 100% because the lady lied about where she was as her story is fabricated so they believed her over me. My story has never changed and I’m still 100% at fault. Even before the investigation they said it was my fault. I’m done with this company. Anyone who reads my review think twice before you choose State Farm because they do not support their customers/clients. They are not on your side. I am switching insurances as I am typing this.

WOW doesn't do this company justice, at least in how they dealt with me, and three cases I've had over the last few years. I've had three claims with them over the last 10 years: a) Two deer decided to commit suicide on a rental car I had. All State not only put me into another rental immediately, but dealt with the rental agency on my behalf. (Budget sucks if you don't buy their insurance) - Deemed not my fault. b) Soft ball size hailstorm... massive damage. I was out of the area on business. The adjuster came over, took photos, and sent a check minus the deductible... with instructions how to have any of the repair people contact them if the repairs cost more than their estimate (only one did, and they dealt with it). - Deemed Act of God. c) 5th wheel severely wind damaged on trip. They sent out an appraiser to the location within a couple days, and had the full estimates... and quickly dealt with it all. - Deemed Act of God.

    d) Not really "MY" claim, but they were involved... A high school student with the same insurance company "head on'ed" on little car in the parking lot, at about 15 to 20mph. Ultimately it was over $8,000 in damage, because a wire was pinched causing a repeated dead short problem (which was eventually found and fixed). They dealt with it all. - Deemed Other Person's Fault. I have them... still... with no plans to change. They have treated me fairly, well, and haven't jacked me (or my premiums) around, as so many insurance companies do.

State Farm is one of the better companies but they have consolidated to the point that their claims service is not good. They have lost focus on "how" to provide great customer service. When one has a claim is when you really find out about your insurance carrier. Filed claim online which was simple. They want you to scan all documents (medical bills, police report, etc.) which I did not have capability to do and made it difficult. State Farm has you speaking to far too many claim reps and repeat your story many times, and each have their own opinion depending on who you're speaking to at the time. It's exhausting. Also, many RUDE claim reps. Requested to speak with a manager but the manager was located out of state.

State Farm assess the situation and had the check ready for me the same week. I almost didn't miss a Beat. Looking at how other people are treated by their insurance companies... I felt comfortable sticking with State Farm.

They are pretty accommodating but I would like to deductible lowered. I live in South Georgia and there was a horrible storm. My car was damaged but not enough to cover a $500 deductible. That would be the one thing that I would change. Otherswise my overall experience with State Farm is good. After being with them a while, I added $10,000 homeowner's insurance for fire and theft, at the minimal cost of $6-per month! Two years later, when I realized that wasn't enough, I called and upped my liability to $20,000. After looking at my record, they said "NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE." For my money they cannot be beat. My agent Nicole and her staff have never let me down, and bend over backwards whenever I ask for anything needed. I was covered for $1000 medical expenses after being rear-ended. My daughter hit a $13,000 worth of damage sized deer! We filed with State Farm but it was a LONG process. They could not determine whether to total the car or not. The car was only 6 months old and it was Honda. We went to the repair shop recommended by them and the car sat outside the facility (not locked up) for almost 3 months (my daughter had a rental car the entire time. I had to argue for a portion of that because we had exhausted our policy amount on rentals, but this was not our fault). I contacted State Farm and they passed the Buck back to the repair company and finally I told them to get it done! I pay my payments monthly and as their customer it needed to get completed.

The car was finally completed, with quality. We have had no more issues, but I was not very pleased with their customer service via claims. I stay with State Farm because of the wonderful people that work in the local office in my area. They treat my family and I with respect and they have provided other services as needed. This took place over 10 years ago, so with the way companies are looking to their share holders instead of serving their customers, I am not sure this ease of filing a claim or getting reimbursement would be the same, nowadays. Sad, but true. Also for knowing that this company is a member of ALEC and supports the far conservative right's extreme agenda, just so their company can do what it wants. Filing a claim with State Farm is not guaranteed to be useful. Even if you read your policy, sometimes the company changes it. I am sure they mail notices, but unless they send you a new complete policy most folks are not aware enough to compare and contrast. That's where the agent is useful. S/he may not control the changes, but they can maintain customer goodwill by communicating with their clients.

But my experiences have varied based on the individual agent. If you get a really good agent, they will take time to review the policies and procedures to make sure you are well informed. If the agent is either too busy or not customer service oriented, you could miss discounts or opportunities for a policy with a better fit for your lifestyle. One agent would ask me questions before accepting the claim, thereby allowing me to get a better idea if the claim is viable or economically sound. This is important because if you file too many claims (and this number is low), even if they never advance, State Farm will cancel your insurance.

As a State Farm customer for decades, I find that they're speedy, responsive and wonderful to have in my corner. The few times I have needed them to come through, they have done so with flying colors. My agent's office is very friendly and responsive, and they really do treat their clients like family. They take care of their own, quickly and without a fuss. When my home was burglarized, I got a real jerk of an adjuster. I complained to my agent, and within an hour, had a new adjuster assigned.

They have been great for me up until I had a claim against another State Farm driver. It has been nothing short of a nightmare and eventually I had to get an attorney. Two years ago, I was rear-ended at a high speed by a driver who was texting while driving and plowed into three cars stopped in traffic. Witnesses came forth saying the driver was distracted, so there was no question of liability.

Two years later, they're still offering LESS than my out-of-pocket expenses, not to mention my pain and suffering which was considerable, and six weeks of missed work. That's why I gave them a 3. Five stars for taking care of me when I needed them, but one star for settling a reasonable claim against them when their driver was clearly at fault. Their refusal to pay a reasonable claim angers me, because they have to hire attorneys now for a case which could have been settled for a very reasonable amount. I also think the rates are high and considering the small number of claims I've had since the 1970s, I think my premiums should be lower.

My reviews are only for a current accident and one previous accident. I have been with State Farm for about 30yrs. I have been relatively happy until one really bad year when everyone in my family was involved in a car accident. That said, that's why we have insurance and have been paying for 30 years for Home, Auto (6 vehicles presently) all with State Farm. My previous accident will explain why I am having such a big issue with SF currently.

My Audi A4 "hit" a Honda pilot. The A4 is smaller, lower and I was barely moving when I slammed on brakes while veering right. We couldn't tell if we hit the car because there was no BOOM, just sound of brakes slamming. The car pulled forward and the lady admitted she had no damage from my car. I took detailed photos of her car and my car who had only damage from hitting her tow hitch. I had a perfectly shaped square on my bumper popped in that was not centered, but offset to the driver side of the bumper.

She had damage that she said from backing into something another time. Her husband got involved and blamed me for the damage that my car couldn't even reach that high and far left on their car. I sent all pics, I went to a dealership and took measurements of where the other cars damage was and the measurements of where my damage was. SF paid for their car. They were State Farm customers also. I was pissed. I took a loss on my car because our family had too many accidents and then they just give away money to this family that was lying. It took me 6 mos. of battling SF before I finally spoke to a manager who apologized that his team did not do their job and all of the pics and measurements that I took, clearly proved I didn't damage their car. Yea! Good to go right? NO!

Present day, my 21 yr old son was driving my husband's car, with me in the passenger seat in the city. We just left a vet appt. and were heading home. We decided to go a different direction, so I tell my son to turn left at this street and we will go around the block to go find the business we decided to go to. All of a sudden, right when we both realized that my son shouldn't turn because it was a one way, a car slammed into us. A car that was either following too closely and swerved to miss rear ending us, or was busy texting, or most likely was passing us because she was in a hurry. But it was at the same time that we were going to start to turn. BUT didn't turn. We took pics. We listened to the lady scream at us because she was on her lunch break and she was in a hurry and asking us why we turned? Meanwhile her story changes. She tells SF and the cops(?) that we were either parked or turning right to park in the middle of a 3-way intersection.

She said we were in the far parking lane pulling into her lane. Yet, we were driving and she was in the on-coming passenger lane when she was honking and I looked over my shoulder at her. So at first State Farm tells us it is going to be word vs. word. I am not happy with this, because the woman is clearly lying. She is a State Farm customer also. Apparently, State Farm doesn't want to thoroughly do investigations when it's a SF vs SF claim. It's easier for them to make a quick judgment, right or wrong, and then hopefully no problems or hopefully their customers aren't bright enough to question. I was livid. I told them and emailed them and said I wanted to speak to a Manager and I didn't want to wait 6 mos for that to happen. My next phone call was in March/April. (Dealing with an injury myself and a dog with ongoing medical and injury herself, so I was busy.)

I was told that the accident, both cars, were placed against my husbands insurance. Again, livid. So I again, explain everything, and the SF guy was surprised to hear that we were the car in front of the other car and we were being blamed for both. He said he would talk to his manager and call me back soon. Not 6 mos later. Of course no call. May 8th, I call again, and just ask to talk to a manager. And this lady was just obstinate. That no one at State Farm would make a mistake. That my car has been fixed. (I said no it hasn't and they made the check payable to the wrong business) That the decision has been made and it is word vs. word (again). And that they aren't going to change the decision. I again, said, "All I want to do is talk to a manager." She said, "A manager has already reviewed the case and they are not changing the decision."

I didn't call there to talk to anyone but a manager. I said, "Are you saying that you are not going to allow me to talk to a manager?" She said, "no." That she would send a message. May 10th, I call again. I again immediately ask for a manager. The lady said she sees I called in a couple of days ago and that I am calling because I disagree with the decision? I said. "Yes, among other things." (The other things... My car has not been fixed. And the check was made payable to the wrong business.) She puts me on hold while I wait for a manager to answer. A lady answers, with a claims specialist title. I said, "Does that mean you are a manager or a claims specialist?" She said she is not a manager. That I have already spoken in great length to the lady on the 8th. That she put in the comments about the call that I am a customer who just wants to get her way.

I said WHAT??? That I want to just get what I want? I said, "NO!" I said that I have been asking to speak with a manager since February. And no one has called me. She repeated that the lady 2 days prior noted that I said I was going to get the 911 tapes and go back out to the accident site. I said, "Clearly there is incompetency because why would I need to go back out to the accident scene." That they are the ones who needs to go back to the accident scene to see that what the lady is saying happened couldn't have happened. That I have already gone through this once before with State Farm, and I just want them to do a proper investigation and get the cameras from the intersection we had passed through, and the 911 tapes. They said they cannot get access to either one of those.

So it is essentially a 50-50 chance if everyone decides to lie about what they did at an accident scene. It doesn't matter about recreating the accident scene, or getting live footage. They just want everyone to zip their lips and let State Farms incompetent employees make decisions that affect probably a large proportion of innocent parties because the propensity of people trying to lie their way out of their responsibilities in an accident.

Why should that go against an innocent party. What is the most irritating is that their employees had the nerve to tell me that I am only trying to get what I want. Well if I am the innocent party, would that be wrong? It has happened to me before. SF isn't infallible. Yet a customer of 30 years, they have the nerve to say that to me after my experience with them. After 3 months of trying to just get a manager to give me a callback. I have told them I am going to now call every day until they have a manager call me back. I will post more later as this evolves...if a manager ever decides to call me back...to treat me like a real customer who has been loyal to their company.

We have had our insurance for over 48 years. They have always taken care of any claims promptly. When we were in a car accident they took care of all paperwork, contacted the other involved parties, etc. The insurance is good insurance for the most part and I like it; but the woman who was at the front desk, quit, & now customer service has gone so far downhill. The man who is supposed to be the boss, is very seldom there. He depends on other agents to take care of everything. I probably would change offices, except this office is in the town where I live, so it is really convenient.

I also had a policy for personal possessions; all jewelry. Had the policy for about 20 years. We received a letter after all that time cancelling the policy. When questioned about it, we were told too many claims had been filed. In 20 years of holding that policy, I had filed 2 claims. One for lost earrings; one to replace a stone from a ring that had come out. I don’t think that qualifies as too many claims.

They check all things out, help you with the claim and in a day get you set up to get your vehicle fixed. Never had any problems in about 40 yrs that I have had State Farm Insurance. Just because you have a claim, they do not go up on rates. They do not stall you on anything, immediately get to work on your problem and keeps you informed on all aspects of claim. Everyone is so friendly, knowledgeable and helpful in everything. Would not change agents for anything. Great service and employees, and rates are good.

State Farm's price is competitive but they screw you over when you really need them. They didn’t pay up or help w/ travel expenses as they say they would till I got someone else involved to help me! A pain in the butt. Don’t bother getting roadside protection especially if you travel far distances. State Farm doesn’t really care about their customers' needs. They care about how much money they have to put out on a claim! I’d go w/ some other company.

I've had a car insurance with State Farm and now I've transferred a title from my name to my mother's since I no longer need this car. I explained everything to an agent, she seemed to understand everything I've explained correctly, gave me an estimate of $197 for my mother's insurance now since she also has a house insured with them. Now, when it comes to getting a proof of insurance they keep sending it to me with my name on it rather than mom's although Karen from Allen Park, MI branch charged me for a NEW policy.

Another woman, Gloria **, now states that it's impossible to do this because the addresses are different and asserts I have to pay for it although now the car is registered under my MOM'S name and she cannot get a proof of insurance to go to a DMV. I'm extremely disappointed with the service. If you are reading this, please stay away from either this company or at least from this branch in Allen Park, MI they are not qualified for this kind of work and don't deserve to be paid for such a terrible customer service!

State Farm represented the opposing driver rather than my friend (State Farm's Own Client) even though she was involved in Only a Driver Exchange with No Citation Issued. I have represented my friend (the Insured) for at least a year & they have not yet provided a 'Letter of Liability' (a detailed explanation of how they determined my friend to be at fault) which we requested. I have 12 1/2 years of experience investigating traffic crashes and I provided State Farm with Ample Proof that my friend was NOT at Fault. We get Excuses and Stonewalling for why they haven't provided their reason for repairing the opposing driver's vehicle and furnishing him a rental vehicle.

FYI - IF anyone is insured by State Farm, they should request a Full Report from an investigating officer IF they are involved in a crash. No State Farm Representative took photos of the crash scene and Failed to Support my friend while Listing my friend At Fault in her Policy creating a higher priced premium. IF State Farm was Honest and did Nothing Wrong they would Provide us with their Reason for Determining my friend to be at Fault, especially with No Citation Issued. They only project an appearance of Guilt for Failing to Respond to our Request.

I just insured my four apartments with State Farm insurance, got a quote of $166 which was a little better than I was paying so I went ahead and paid. A few weeks later I received 4 invoices for an extra $25 each. I called the office and explained what happened. The lady, very nice, said she would call State Farm Corporate and find out what happened. She called me back, explained that some part of the policy had been increased, and that they didn't know, and that I would have to pay. I wouldn't have thought nothing of this, but the exact same thing happened to my Father when he got a new car insurance policy with them several months ago. It also happened to be about $25, and he got the same explanation, that they didn't know about the new change in the policy.

I hate being nickel and dimed like this. I have paid the extra $100 as I have no choice at this point, but I have started looking around for new insurance on my apartments as well as my car insurance which I have had with them since the 80's. There is too much coincidence here, I can't stand these tactics these big corporations take for an extra few bucks. Disgusting.

Pricing seems to be very close to other companies enough so that when taken account of the personal interaction will turn over anything else. Unfortunately, I’ve had several claims.
