Had State Farm for almost 50 years. We have never had a problem, everything has always been taken care of. While people look for the cheapest rate, service is what really counts. We have found that State Farm has found us great body shops when needed, pays their bills on time to the provider and takes care of the process without us having to make phone call after phone call. They take ownership of the problem and solve it. One phone call and the process is put in motion. Called for road service 2 weeks ago, State Farm had a truck here in less than 30 minutes, tire fixed, no payment necessary.

I was rear ended by a driver that is insured with State Farm. I have since sent in my claims for repair and have had to fight every step of the way to get them to cover the repairs. Every time I call, I get passed around and have to repeat all of the information over and over again. The lady I have been in contact with the most is accusatory and yells at me. As if it wasn't bad enough to get rear ended in the first place, this company is adding textbook "insult to injury." It seems like they are intent on beating me down until I pay for everything out of my own pocket. Horrible.

I was with State Farm Insurance for multiple auto policies (had 4 vehicles plus multiple recreational vehicles), renter's insurance, personal articles, EVERYTHING was insured through them. I was with them for just shy of 10 years when they kicked me to the curb because my husband had a couple accidents and a couple speeding tickets kind of close together (I've never had an accident or ticket on my record in the entirety of having my insurance through them and still don't have any). Not only did they cancel all of my auto policies, they refused to insure my new home (recently purchased instead of renting). My agent Charles Buckner located in SLC, UT entered a few of my policies incorrectly and I had to jump through a bunch of hoops to correct his mistakes. I would have been a State Farm customer for life and referred everyone I know to them, but not anymore. Where's your loyalty to the customers you expect to be loyal to you?
Reviewed July 6, 2017
The agent never gave us any discount for being a loyal customer for over 35 years. I called him to inquire about any discounts we might get and asking about being a good on time paying client. He finally gave a very small discount, what I would call pocket change. Other auto insurance companies give their clients a discount for being a loyal and never late payment customer after a number of years. I should really check other insurance companies and compare their discounts and also for being a long time good paying client. If you don't ask other companies and compare you will never know.

Customer service in the Warrensburg, MO office is not very good. They seem to fail to update information when you request it. Also, every 6 months, they raise rates due to cost of living. I have never filed a claim, yet the premiums keep going up.

I had to call and call again to get the correct papers I need. I was hit on the hay and still my auto insurance went up 60.00 dollars, I wasn't at fault. I don't think it's fair or should be legal to charge me more for auto insurance because of my credit, I wish someone would start a class action lawsuit against all insurance companies who do this. And I should be paying for the amount of miles I drive and only for at fault incidents, it's too bad American people can be raped by the auto insurance company.

Overall, we like State Farm. We've been with them for over 30 years, and before that, my husband worked for them. They are usually responsive, but details seem to get lost in their cyber sphere sometimes (contact info, etc.). Our car was hit by an Uber driver (his fault). Filed claim with State Farm. Adjuster not readily available for Washington, DC, and emails and calls were going to the other spouse and it's aggravating. Tried to get customer service to call the correct phone/spouse who drives that car. It didn't work. Adjusters were leaving/retiring from the company (we were told), and they were spread thin. It was just the timing of everything that made it difficult for us.

State Farm has excellent customer service and easy processes to claims. They however are high in rates and need to implement ways to reduce rates as other insurance companies have done, and they are not competitive with the apps for reducing rates nor accident forgiveness.

I have had this insurance co for over 10 years and I never had any problems with them at all and the girls in the office are very helpful and friendly. I also have my renters insurance with them. So because I have two policies with them I get a discount. They made it very easy to file a claim when we had a hail storm. They set up a place for them to look at the car to see the damage it made. It was quick and easy process.

The agents are very indifferent, rude and inconsiderate. Not like they were when I signed up back in the '90s. The newer agents do not think of you as a person but a policyholder. I was not informed when my insurance agent died and I no longer did not have an agent who was looking out for my concerns. I was left hanging and had to find a new agent on my own. And when I did, that agent did not want to give me any discounts based on my circumstances. They do not look for the best deals that would benefit you. They are not consistent. So I left them after being a customer for 20 some years.

State Farm is a good insurance company. They are always there to help. Even with things that don't have anything to do with car insurance. In my opinion, when I get pulled over, the cop sees my stack of insurance papers, and just simply because State Farm is reputable, it seems like I was let off the hook for not having current inspection. I would recommend State Farm if you don't mind paying a little extra. You will get good customer service and insurance that is not a joke. I only have liability and I pay 96.00 a month. I had one wreck my whole life. To me that is a lot. I T-boned a car with very old people in it. Luckily they were not hurt, but it did do a lot of damage. The claim was paid, I never heard from those people so I think it was a smooth process.

I have never seen an insurance company that is more considerate and as affordable as State Farm. They make it a habit of retaining their customers by being the very best. Definitely, the first call you should make after an accident is to your State Farm agent. They can help you in so many ways you would never imagine. They make arrangements and phone calls, look up phones numbers and provide recommendations. We get excellent rates too. We have used them since 1994 and if they weren't that good, we would have changed companies.
On the way to my daughter's house last winter, my car started sliding off the black iced hill, which didn't even look slick, onto its side in a ditch. I called my insurance agent, 50 miles away, and he had a wrecker there within an hour. They helped straighten up the car and I drove away. The insurance company transferred money to the wrecker service and I never even saw a bill. They called to make sure everything was taken care of and checked whether I needed any medical attention. A very happy ending by my State Farm insurance agent.

I do not agree with having to pay my full deductible on a hit and run though, but I am sure it is like that with all insurance companies. Wonderful company with local reps that are very helpful and always get you the price you can afford to pay.

My then 18-year-old granddaughter was on our policy in 2015, and caused an accident. I was only 10 minutes from the scene of the accident, and dealt with the other driver, the police, and State Farm. They took my call immediately, got all of the pertinent details, and took care of getting the vehicle towed. The next morning, the adjuster looked over the vehicle; and everything was resolved within 8 more days. Best of all, there was no subsequent hike in our insurance rates. It was painless, simple, quick, and easy. Every step of the way, they took care of the claim. It was almost as if there was never a claim in the first place. Smooth.

I've been insured with State Farm for over fifty years and I wouldn't even think of trying anyone else. Through all those years, they've been great. I struck a deer on a four-lane highway late at night. I was able to get the car to my house and immediately called State Farm. In the morning, a tow arrived to take the car to a local body shop that I agreed upon. I was offered a replacement from Enterprise Rental next to the body shop. State Farm said they would cover it, but I didn't need it and declined. A few days later, I was notified the car was ready and they offered to deliver it but I opted to pick it up. Super easy all the way and couldn't be happier with them. Their rates aren't the lowest, but I trust them to get things done right.

They (State Farm) have always been good to me, polite, respectful and courteous. I took my damaged car to a direct claim auto-body shop for State Farm. Estimates done promptly. They pay for car rental. Two local rental firms are partnered with State Farm so when I pick up my repaired vehicle, I can leave my rental at the body shop. I have had State Farm since I graduated from high school, a good 25 years, for both vehicle and homeowners. State Farm claims to be "a good neighbor", when indeed they are not. My husband and I filed a claim in June 2016. This claim had to be reopened 3 additional times, by their adjuster, due to finding more damage every time. I've never, in 25 years that I've been with State Farm, had an adjuster scream in my face until then. Currently the claim has closed, but the money paid for damages isn't anywhere near what the replacement cost was.

After being with State Farm for over 20 years we called it quits. Bad agents and just pure laziness. Reasons are the following: would not recommend! Told agent wanted full coverage on truck. Back window broke and went to file claim and they advised that only had liability. We explained when we talked that since it was only $10.00 more to add it at that time.
Jewelry policy was not explained properly. Explained that it was a set coverage for all jewelry. Not that each item had to be listed. Lost a $300 earring and was told it would not be covered. After that, went to add bracelet but sticker was covering appraisal on email and to resend. Sent no more than 10 mins later on 9/9. Email from agent on 10/21 asking for 2nd request for appraisal. Reforwarded email advising it was sent the same day as the original request.
10/22 called to apply for State Farm loan and agent input wrong car info into app and app was denied. Input info for financing on a car that was already insured with them. Had to resubmit loan and approved for 8500. Agent advised would be there at 11 next day on Sat. Agent did not show up as promised. Called and lodged complaint. Service team got in touch with agent who was at an eye appointment and didn't bother to call to say they would be late or reschedule. The husband of one of the agents assistants had to come unlock the office and give us our check so we could go buy the truck. Unauthorized person for one and two we had to wait there until they came with our 4 year old daughter also waiting. Ridiculous!!!
April 2017- was told by Enterprise that rental was covered 80/20. Had truck for three days - $10 /day. Deer hit truck. Got a call from Brian that no rental coverage. State Farm now says was on the sable not on the 94 truck and not carried over to 2004 truck. 2 separate policies so even though I have on the Jeep and then Suzuki - it cannot be used even though we are in the same household. Nothing they can do but add it now for future but no coverage on this accident.

I was in an accident a month ago and I have been paying for full coverage insurance with State Farm for over eight years. I traded in my car for a newer one and I went online to switch the insurance over from my old car to the new one. They never swapped the insurance to the new car but they raise the price of my monthly payment for the insurance which they automatically take out of my bank account every month and that never fails. I purchased a car about 8 months ago, you would think that they would notify me that I had no coverage on a brand new vehicle because I notified them when I bought the vehicle that I needed to switch the policy over from the old vehicle to the new one.
Now they refuse to pay for anything not even a rental or reimbursement of the money that they've taken from me for the last eight or nine months or so for a car that they never put the insurance on. They made the mistake by not switching it and not notifying me that my new car was not covered. I have been paying for full coverage this entire time but yet no one notified me that the car I was driving was not covered.
Now I am stuck with this and my totaled car that I owe almost $25,000 on. They claim to be investigating the coverage while my car is sitting in a lot racking up fees. They are denying everything so now all of that falls on me and comes out of my pocket. They have not assisted me in any way, yet they have taken money out of my account for full coverage on a car that I don't even own and that they never swapped over even though I contacted them to do so. I have been calling and asking what exactly I have been paying for and they refuse to let me know what they have been doing with the money that they have been taking out of my account. They refused to refund that money and they refused to take responsibility for any part of this accident even though I've been with them for several years with three different vehicles.
While in the new vehicle while driving I have been pulled over and never got a ticket for no insurance and the day of the accident I also did not get a ticket for no insurance. I am just curious why I have been paying every month for full coverage and for some reason I am covered for 0%. They even took out the payment for insurance even after my car was already totaled. I will not be using State Farm again and I never leave bad reviews but this has really hurt my finances and I want people to know that State Farm is not an honest or reliable company. They will take your money and give you nothing in return. They are not very friendly when you have a claim and they deny deny deny and just refuse to assist with anything.
I am a single mom and now I am struggling due to the fact that they never put my new car on the policy and they never contacted me to tell me that my car was not covered. I do believe that either the dealership the finance company or my insurance company should have contacted me or each other to notify them that a car that is owed so much money was not fully covered. I will not use State Farm again. I've never had an accident till now, and now that I have it has broken me financially and emotionally and the accident alone was very traumatizing.
State Farm was not any help and really hurt me and I plan to try my best to get back on my feet but State Farm will not be involved and I want to take them to court and I'm going to try to get every single penny that they owe. I wasn't even going to ask them to replace my car but just to take care of the car that was totaled. But they won't even refund the money that they have taken out of my account that they basically just took from me because I was paying for full coverage but then I find out that I have no coverage at all. They refused to give the money back and I hope to find an attorney to make them do the right thing.
I really dislike how insurance companies do not care about their clients and they have no sympathy for what their clients go through and they don't see that I have paid every month for the past 8 years and they still refuse to pay for one single thing. It's not fair but I guess life's not fair but I have no choice but to take them to court and make them do what's right because I do have a little boy to take care of and I need to do what I have to. But for anyone else considering using State Farm as a new insurance company I advise you to look elsewhere. They are not the cheapest I honestly thought that they were a good company but I know now from experience they're not. Please do your research before choosing an insurance company and always check the reviews for them. I wish I had and maybe I wouldn't be in this situation.
Honestly to be very straightforward State Farm is a crooked company and they couldn't care less about stealing your money. I have been a loyal client with them and the State Farm agents seem to be nice people but when you're in an accident and it goes to claims it is those people who will find any reason to deny you and say no. They did that to me and they refused to refund any money or figure a way to help me out or give me advice on what to do.
In the end my car, the fees from the lot it's been sitting in while they are investigating, the rental car, and the other expenses that I had because of this has put me damn near $30,000 in debt. I was also not able to work for over a month because of the injuries that were caused in that accident. Luckily I was the only one that was injured. So I have a lot of money going out but no money coming in. I am now making two car payments one of them which I will never see again. State Farm broke me. They destroyed me financially, put me in major debt, and this will ruin my credit. I will never do business with State Farm again ever. Please think about it before signing with State Farm.

Our agent checks with us periodically to see if we want to change the value of any of our insurance policies, or to make sure we haven't sold something and forgot to cancel the policy. Customer service is always exceptional. I had two incidents where my car was hit in a parking lot with damage done. Hit and run driver. Called my State Farm Agent, he told me to take it into the body repair shop of my choice. All it cost me was my $100.00 deductible.

For most of my adult life I have had State Farm. As a teenager I admit to my share of car wrecks. As life went on, I collected a few more, mostly not my fault. The claims process has always been easy. Fast response, no haggling. Just an attitude of "take care of the customer". It's just that this new agent needs to realize that as soon as I get the energy I will look for a new State Farm agent. There are plenty to choose from. I had the same agent for over 25 years. When he retired, he must have sold his business to my new agent. She is not good at all.

I have looked into AARP's insurance, The Hartford, and price wise State Farm is by far the best. Filed a claim a few years ago but they were more than helpful and courteous with me. I only needed to call them about three or four times, once for a non related automobile problem. They made me feel so relieved that they could help me with only one phone call.

I'll be so happy to be rid of this place! Before anyone says anything negative to me, including employees and family of, I've been battling this company for over 3 months now. I've been handled by every single employee, save one that just downright laughed at me and thought my requests for the employees to do their jobs was ridiculous. I've bled money trying to keep up. That is the exact reason you're required to have insurance, they say - so you don't have to worry about huge expenses after and yet I'm STILL VENTING MONEY because of these "people!". It all started 3/29, when my van was accidentally flooded following a storm. I've had this van nearly 5 years, I've always been super cautious with it and have never had issues with it but the whopping 6 inches of water somehow managed to wreak havoc on my van.
First, it took over a week just to get an adjuster to look at it to declare it needed to be worked on. There are only about 6 authorized beings in the entire Houston area, I'm told. In the meantime, I have 2 kids and no transportation for them, including my youngest who's highly asthmatic and at the worst seasonal transition of the year. That made absolutely no impact on my claim despite several supposed escalations on it - just more handling by the claims department and **'s office. Despite paying $450, that's no mistake folks - $450 on 3 OLDER vehicles (2002 truck, 2003 Expedition and 2012 van which was in disrepair from the flood) PER MONTH (yes, I have to pay that every month, there's not an extra month rolled in), I couldn't get answers or help in a timely manner.
I had to continue paying my van note for an additional 2 months to keep them at bay, which was an extra $475/month, plus State Farm continued to take payments for the insurance on the van despite me not being able to use it. In the meantime, I was without a vehicle. I had to arrange every single place we had to go. My mother in law was a huge blessing, but the planning and begging and reducing myself to the bare minimum trips so that I didn't have to burden anyone were seriously getting to me.
State Farm has to reach some threshold of money into the vehicle in order to total it and I get and even understand that, but what they don't tell you is that they won't authorize the purchase of quality parts. They work with junk yards and pick a part places and put grimy old used parts including major "parts" like ENGINES in your vehicle and wonder why your vehicle is still having issues 3 months later. In that 3 month period, the mechanic had to replace my starter, plugs, 2 engines and subsequent coil packs. I may be forgetting a few minor items. Actually I believe he also had to replace filters as well. All used parts. All from the junk yard. All cheapest as possible. All junk. Surprise, surprise. Van still didn't work. After the second engine, we were still having issues with the motor shaking, doors are opening at random, a door won't lock, etc etc etc.
On the claims side, I'm being tossed from agent to agent. I would have to call every day to every other day and tell my whole story to at least 2 different claims agents until the last 2 weeks, when I finally scored my own agent, which of course, fell right in the last 2 weeks of school and you know the end of the year madness if you're a parent... ceremonies (my youngest graduated kinder), awards, early dismissals, end of year parties, belt testing and ceremony at their TKD classes, etc. To say the timing couldn't have been worse would be a drastic understatement. Anyway, my very own agent was finally assigned when I guess they realized they were going to total my vehicle and I had to endure incessant calls from her, calls that I had to be on the line to authorize her to speak on my behalf to my lender that literally would take an hour or more.
The lack of communication was ridiculous. They sent me money for the repairs, which I was supposed to give to the mechanic. So then a couple of weeks later, it's hurry up and get the money back bc it is now going directly to my lender. Why do they not send this stuff directly to the sources? I mean, this poor mechanic was working for free for 3 months. From what info I gathered, they didn't pay him what he was worth either. Thanks for burning that bridge. The last thing he wanted was to give up money that he'd finally gotten from 3 months of work for it to be totaled anyway. He had to front the engine money, front money for the other parts, too. The lying from the agents was the most unbearable part of the whole ordeal.
They'd tell me we were top priority, highest escalation, etc etc. Whatever they needed to say to keep us quiet I guess. They'd tell us that the mechanic told them it was definitely fixable after every new piece they'd put in. The mechanic told us if there was an electrical issue due to the water damage, it would be very very difficult to track it down and it could be potentially very dangerous since electrical issues can spread. Well, apparently the door that wouldn't lock, doors opening/closing at random weren't of concern to State Farm. I have kids going in and out of the back seat. Them getting smashed in the doors or the doors opening while I'm driving was absolutely of no concern to them. Had a brand new crate motor not been required to fix the shaking issues, we would've been stuck with those issues and that concern until we either ate the cost ourselves or sold it!!
So, I'm still having issues to date because apparently, State Farm feels they have a right to reach into my bank acct and take payments for vehicles you don't have and ignore the fact that one of those vehicles hasn't been removed for 3 months! Oh and don't believe your claims person when they say your nightmare is over bc State Farm has a way of making it persevere! So nearly 4 months later and a 3rd insurance payment on this van is auto drafted. Well, if they have your signature on file and you don't tell them to remove the vehicle from your insurance, even if you've never had an auto draft from them before in the history of your acct there, apparently they're allowed to take whatever amount they want. Requesting to speak to Ken again is out of the question and a laughable request at that.
They're not at all responsible for the $240 worth of courtesy pay fees that follow that unauthorized amount of money they took, either. Oh and the biggest kicker: it's going to take 14 business days to get my acct right at State Farm alone. In the meantime, I have a new handler at State Farm who is telling me that they don't pay overdrafts, they're not responsible for having not removed the vehicle they totaled out and this will continue this way. Ummmm...no. You knew the van needed to be removed bc through the whole process, Ken **, himself, was involved. I told him and every agent between that this van needed to be totaled after my mechanic told me about the electrical issue. My claims agent said she took care of every detail pertaining to my van and basic customer service needs weren't met once again.
Ken ** State Farm, you owe me 3 months of insurance payments, a ton of inconvenience pay (and tons more because apparently, "this isn't at all how this is supposed to work, we don't know why it's taking so long," and my personal favorite, "we want to restore faith with you.") during all of those handling me periods, and you owe me 2 vehicle payments I had to make to keep them from hitting our credit while you dragged your feet for 3 months! That's 2 payments I had to make while not being able to use my vehicle! This is going to be copied to every single place that will allow it and to every lawyer that cares to read it until I get some resolution. I'm so sick of big companies squishing their customers to continue to get ahead.
Corporate bailouts, rude "customer service" agents, employees not doing their jobs, they blame it on the situation or customer mentality, the "I don't have to have good customer service because I can just play the numbers game - someone will replace them if they leave so it's really not a problem for us, and mostly the just wait them out so they'll give up and we can stay ahead and bludgeon the customer so far down that they can't fight back as we stand on top of them and stomp on all of the people required to pay us to stay at the top" mentality that just absolutely disgusts me. You all are the most despicable group of people I've met to date. Please keep passing the buck and not taking responsibility for your own actions and inactions, dropping the ball on people and being the sad example of humanity that you are.

I am writing this complaint today because I just got my last payment statement, and it really bothers me cause I have been with State Farm a long time. And now they are charging me way too much for something that was their fault. It all started Around April last year when I had another on my insurance and I asked them to take it off and that's the only one. Was the Ford F-150. They said OK. Well I was thinking that they had it right cause the money was taken out of my check automatically every month. Well I know.
At least 2 months went by and I didn't never see a statement like I had been getting every month I have been for several years until I got a cancellation letter where they cancelled my insurance. I called them and they seen where the wrong. Vehicle was took off. But wouldn't admit they done it. And my insurance cancelled now because they did that. My car insurance is very high and it's hard to make payments like that on a fixed income like Have. I went to another State Farm the price wasn't good. But I had to have insurance.
The payments were OK. I made a payment for 6 months and recently I due a payment and I was shocked to see what it said. It was much more than I had expected. And all this is because of the mistake that State Farm made and is wrong and against the law. Please help me to resolve this and get my payments back to normal or I may have to seek legal advice. Thank you.

The relative low cost of the insurance is what keeps us at State Farm. When doing recent comparison shopping we discovered Auto Club is almost twice as expensive as State Farm for the same coverage. But the State Farm Auto Insurance claims process is low on communication and not very customer oriented with their insureds. Even though they employ agents, the claims process is impersonal and lacks focus for their customers. When my daughter, who lives at home, was hit by a drunk driver a few months ago State Farm had a 24 hour 800# claim contact that adequately handled the initial claim process. However obtaining information relative to her reimbursement of deductible, obtaining a rental car, etc. was difficult. It was like pulling teeth to get information.

The agent was pleasant to talk to and her questions about the incident easy to answer. The claim was handled promptly. State Farm gave me a rental car and fixed the damage promptly. However, they kind of "bug" you to give them your odometer reading every month to continue to be on their "good driver" safety list and after so many months, it becomes annoying. So we've been with State Farm for a few years and all has been well. Someone got a hold of my bank card information so I started paying my bill manually, and have been doing so for a year. Recently I signed in to pay my bill and was told I would owe almost $800 for June. My insurance bill is about $230. I contacted an agent who told me that it's because I haven't updated my card, so they're charging me for an extra month, PLUS they forgot to charge me for my Husband's new car when we first got it (which is news to me) so they decided to catch up 3 months later!? What is this? So in order to get the payment down I HAVE to sign up for the autopay program. It's total **. I prefer having control over! Account. How is this legal?

Insurance buyers BEWARE! State Farm looks for 1 claim, regardless of who is at fault, in a 13-year time span. After 27 years of coverage, in multiple lines, we had 6 claims in 4 years for 4 drivers and 3 automobiles. Three were losses 100% to the other driver, and not on our insurance. Two claims were minor, and 1 claim was ours and bigger. State Farm dropped us, but only on our autos (for which we promptly dropped all other lines!). They claim that through the Lexus Nexus reporting system, they view all records for their insured, regardless of who paid on the claim. So, they hold accidents against you, even when you are found faultless. What a total racket!
They claim all insurance companies do that. However, I can assure you they DO NOT. I am not insured with Farmers Insurance, better coverage, better rates, and none of the BS I received from State Farm. Buyers beware... "Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there" only if you live next to crooks! This is just about the auto, but I can also affirm that when our house was hit by a tornado, clearly through no fault of our own, and they received government kick back because it was labeled as a natural disaster, they only paid for the half of our roof that was damaged. The other half came from our pockets! We should have left sooner. Our fault for trying to be loyal. Please learn from our mistakes, and choose someone else for insurance!

I switched to State Farm after being dropped by my previous insurance for being too "high risk" even though I had not had a ticket in more than 2 years. My prior insurance (marketed as the company that will save you money...) payment was $96/mo (again "high risk") and after switching my payment immediately dropped to $52/mo! Thanks to the Drive Safe and Save program not only are my rates cut in half but I can show actual record of being an excellent driver! Win win! In addition, setting up my policy online was a breeze, the app is user friendly, and my agent called me within 24 hours to check-in.

Rate increase - I've been with State Farm for a little of 2 years. My daughter got a car. I co-signed for it. My went up to 297, which was ok with me because of my daughter age. The problem came later when I purchased a car. It went from 298 to 312. Still no problem. Several months later it went to 336. Still no problem. The problem came when I call to make a payment it was 368. They said it was because of the device they sent me in the mail that I never used. But they said they had given me the discount prior to sending me the device that I never used so they charged me for it. But how are you going to give discounts when you never activate the device to your car so how did they track it? I paid the 368 then my payment went from 336 to 351 after I paid for the device I never used.
So then my younger son got his DL so I added him as a driver because they said you have to name everyone in your household with a DL but excluded from the policy, so I get a bill for 633+. So I called the local office and the girl was rude and she had a nasty attitude when I tried to get some understanding about the bill because it was ridiculous. Of course she was no help. This company or individually owned need to get qualified agents/employees. One agent called me about the first increase and that was it. No one else ever call me or notify me about the other increases. I use to think it was a pretty good company but not anymore. I am in pursue of other companies as I write. I agree there should be some investigation of this company. It is a RIP OFF!!!

I called Roadside Assistance around 5:15 pm Wednesday 5/31/17 from the parking garage of where I work, which is also an hour from my home. My husband was at his work which was also an hour away from our home in the other direction. My car stalled in the parking garage of where I work. My husband said to call State Farm's Roadside Assistance. So I did. When I called, I told her I wanted the car to be towed where I live, she said it would be $29.25. She was telling me unless I paid the 29 dollars, there was NO tow. So I gave her my debit card, she sent me an email receipt to my email. I waited and around 6:55 pm, I got a recording that the E.T. A would be 5 minutes. I called back at 7:32 pm and the lady on the other end put me on hold and said the driver would be another 25 minutes.
By that time, my husband called frantic that not only was it dark, but I was on a desolate road; he decided to come for me. I got a call from a driver at 8:30 pm, at this point it was very dark, he asked me if I needed a tow, I yelled at him and told him; "yes, 3 hours ago". He asked again if I needed him, I told him; " no, my husband was coming", he said "Ok no problem." My husband got to me which was at 8:40 pm and the another driver called and asked me if I needed a tow. I said the same thing: "yes, 3 hours ago". He asked me; "didn't state farm tell you I was at a state police situation?" I said;"no". Meanwhile the security guard came out from the business I work at to see if I was alright, I told him everything and he said he was thinking that he and his wife will switch to State Farm but after seeing I've been hitting for 3 1/2 hours, he said "forget State Farm."
At this point my husband did all he could to get the car going and we switched cars. I decided at that point to call roadside assistance again to tell them how horrible they are and this was totally uncalled for. When I expressed to the person, and I was not gentle in my approach, she put me on hold and never came back. I called again, making sure I cancelled the tow, and I hear I will receive a refund in 7-10 business days, I expressed very sternly that it took 2 minutes to take my debit card, NO ONE EVER SHOWED UP TO HELP, and it's going to take more than a week to get my money back for services I never received!!! I called my insurance location in the morning about this and they had the complaint department call me; what good that did. She gave me a bunch of rigamarole of how State Farm is upstanding and they stand by what they represent.
This was my first time using roadside assistance and this is what they did. I let them know what my husband said about how upstanding AAA is and that there has to be a better insurance company who would stand for what they represent. A year or so ago, I had a car-homeowners insurance with a company for 23 years, I had a piece of jewelry that got eaten up by my garbage disposal with a $1500 price to have it fixed, I called my previous insurance company and they said that in order for them to pay that, it had to be either destroyed by a criminal or a volcano. I DROPPED THEM! -- for State Farm... go figure!!!

I have been a State Farm customer for 13+ years. I only stuck with them because it was under a multi-car family plan. For being a loyal customer of 13 years, they never once treated their customers with respect. Always rude whenever I called up there to either get a quote because I was thinking about switching cars or calling about a claim. They were never helpful and huffed on the phone as if you were such a problem calling. My rep's name was Gale in Olive Branch and she has been so rude and unprofessional anytime I spoke with her. I have a perfect and clear driving record and several times they increased my rate and said that it's because of the state. However, I finally called it quits with them and went with another Insurance company that has high ratings and great reviews. State Farm has low ratings for a reason!
They don't care about their customers and all they see is dollar signs. My account is auto-drafted every month and last month, my full coverage went from $100 to $160. When I called them to figure out why I was charged so much, they say it's based of the state. When I told them I'm going somewhere else, they got hesitant and were trying to convince me that even if I go anywhere else the rates are going to be the same. Well that's a lie! I got my new insurance immediately with another company for half the price! Like I said, all they care about is getting money out of you and make excuses.
It doesn't matter that you've been a loyal customer with them for years and have a clear driving record, they will take and take till you finally leave! My entire family is no longer insured with them and we all got full coverage insurance for half the price elsewhere. And better customer service too! From a business standpoint, businesses are suppose to build quality relationships with their customers and show appreciation to their customers. Make their customers feel like they are in good hands. State Farm is a joke and does nothing of a sort but empty your wallet.

When I first applied to State Farm in an entry level claims position I was ecstatic. I was thinking I would reach a sort of corporate level job that I could build on and have a future. When I went through the interview process a State Farm representative thought I did so well she applied me to be in a claims-express position. After a few weeks I got a call from another rep saying I got a job in the lower claims department. I asked about the previous rep applying me for an express position with more money but was interrupted and said this is where I would be. I should have known this type of behavior would be synonymous with State Farm.
I quickly learned that their quota and daily bottom line was more important than someone that had just had their life turned around in an accident. We would have weekly one on one meetings with managers that would threaten our job with call time lengths and quality control paragraphs that we would have to read word for word no matter the situation. My very first meeting with a manager I was given a dose of reality by management that if I didn't keep my call times within quota (which was 8-9 minutes at the time for auto) or follow the word tracks I would be fired. Your shifts would change every so often and you would be assigned new managers. We would have these managers with college degrees brought in that knew nothing about the position.
It's ironic that they could threaten our job because of their bottom line when in fact they knew nothing about that position themselves. In fact when my manager, at the time, would have to take calls she would have to call one of us over to help set up a claim or take a call. As you may know you cant control the type of calls that you get and some situations might take longer than others. Let's say you have a week of calls that are more strenuous than others. This doesn't matter, you will still get called out in your meeting as to why you could not control the call.
Do not ever doubt for one second that State Farm cares about you or your accident, even fatalities which I had several of. These managers also control if you are eligible for promotion. If you do not meet quota you will be reprimanded and after so many times you are not eligible to apply for promotion. The only manager that I had that had any common sense or sense of caring in that upper management position was Ron ** out of Richardson, Texas. All other upper management positions and managers were so far up their ** I guarantee they didn't know to put one foot in front of the other.
One instance out of the many actually involved an employee of State Farm. We worked from 12:15 PM to 10:30 PM and one night about 9:00 PM he received calls from his siblings he had not talked to in years. Turns out they were calling him to inform him his father had been murdered in Ohio where he grew up. As you may assume having to leave Texas and gather a funeral for his father would take more than two or three days but that was all they gave him. He had to take vacation days in order to be paid for the few extra days he took off to bury his father. State Farm exonerates the motto Like a Good Neighbor but acts very much like a bunch of money hungry corporate animals with no soul. This is the worst company I've ever worked for and their lack of leadership shows in the consumer reports and reviews. I'm sorry everyone, I hope this gives you some sort of insight as to what the culture is like inside the company.

I then get a message that they want to hold me 20% liable for their client backing into my car. I don't agree. I call back. I am told there is no one in that department that day, even though I had talked to me from that department, a half hour earlier. They sent me a check for 20% less than I agreed to, which I returned. After that it has essentially been unanswered emails, phone calls that result in me getting transferred from department to department, with no resolution.
Essentially, they are big and I'm little, if I don't agree to their terms, then screw me. I filed a complaint with the state insurance board. Someone from State Farm called me... again. Sticking to their story and essentially holding me partially liable for their customer backing into my car. They then sent me a check for 20% less than the check that was already 20% less than what we had originally agreed on. I went and visited the courthouse today. THE SHORT: I use to think highly of State Farm. However, recently State Farm turned a simple repair into a month long logistical nightmare from April 5 until soon May 1, 2017. The primary issue was the unrepairable rubber bumper at the primary point of impact. Four different State Farm adjusters insisted it was repairable. The body shop (the highest rated body shop I found on Google with a perfect 5 star ratings from many and multiple sources Mundy's Collision Center & Auto Repair in Lawrenceville GA) said the bumper needed to be replaced due to anticipated fitment issues and the severity of the bumper deformation.
After countless hours on the phone, multiple visits with adjusters and the body shop, multiple supplements with repair cost escalating from $1600 to approx. $3900 State Farm independent estimator agreed the bumper needed to be replaced and the team manager agreed to pay the body shop their fair wage to redo the work with a new bumper. BTW. The body shop is not one that State Farm contracts with for repairs. The majority of State Farm referrals for body work have poor customer reviews on Google as does Hertz car rental. As of today Enterprise offers a better customer experience. I speculate to say State Farm’s strategy is to get customers to accept a small cash payout and ultimately not have the body work performed. This might make their strategy profitable but frustration if you want your car fix right.

My car was involved in an accident July 19th, 2016. I took it to a shop that I've dealt with for over 10 YEARS! I trusted the shop and even drove 45-50 minutes to get there. But after that it was all a scam. My car was "fixed" with glue and "parts" were charged to rack up the bill... but they never existed. The car was returned 3 times for corrective repairs and still my vehicle is damaged. After all this, my agent lied about the coverage timeline terms and even made harassing calls to me. 8 to be exact, and after the 3rd call I clearly said, "If you call me back I will take it as harassment!" But no... He called back 5 times until my lawyer had called me, and I asked the agent if he'd like to do a 3 way call. He never called back.
One week later I found out I was being dropped, and now I'm being quoted like someone who had a DUI history with vehicular homicide. Of course I got the run around like every other person who's ever filed a complaint and now I'm dropped. 4K in repairs for glue, headaches, harassment, and now a tarnished record for ATTEMPTING to stand up for myself. Insurance with these guys is a joke. What's even worse is I'm on disability and WAS working part time since I'm physically limited a full-time position. I slipped and fell and OF COURSE whenever insurance is involved it seems to lead to complications rather than protection. What was once $147 has now gone to $300 a month. If I can't resolve this, then I'll be forced to sell my car knowing I won't have a car and just a loan to pay for the damages. Very very disappointed to the point of crying over this matter and feeling totally hopeless.

I was in an accident in which I was rear ended. What had happened was that the car in front of me had slowed suddenly, from about 60mph to 10mph, because of an incident ahead. As I braked to, of course, avoid an accident with the car ahead, I was smashed into from behind from a driver insured by a different insurance company. As often happens, he claimed that I suddenly stopped for no reason to his insurance. I told his insurance why I braked. Even though they accepted liability, they said I was also liable because their insured complained that I braked too hard. I really couldn't believe that they would actually put liability on me for that. Luckily, it turned out to be a good thing, as I went through my own insurance, State Farm, for settlement as to not be out money for my "negligence". My car was totaled and I was given a very fair settlement.
The repair shop I originally brought it to told me later that State Farm is very fair when settling for total losses, and another friend told me the same. I received more money than I bought it for years ago. State Farm went after the claimant carrier, and let me know that I did nothing illegal or wrong, and that the other company has adjusters who put liability on victims even when it's inappropriate, to get out of paying the full cost of the claim. I suffered greatly over the accident, and I hated being blamed for the accident when I did exactly as I should have - taken action to avoid an accident with the car in front of me. I cannot help if someone is tailgating behind me.

After doing business with State Farm for many years, 40 to be exact with no tickets or accidents we are changing to Farm Bureau. After buying a new car and selling my older car to a family member they jerked me around by raising my premiums three times. I got insurance on my new car before I drove it off the lot. I kept insurance on my older car until my buyer got it insured in their name. I lost my accident free driving discount because they said since I cancelled my insurance on my older car that I sold, therefore it would be 3 years before I got that discount. The agent refused to do anything by saying that was their policy rules. The headquarters didn't do anything either. They were oblivious to my good driving record. This was their way of getting more money from me. Everything fine until you need something. I will not recommend State Farm to anyone. They are incompetent and sorry. Don't go there.

To wit: Although I gave them my bank account information, they did not withdraw my premiums from my bank, causing me to fall behind and placing my driver's license at risk (this was in March). I found out yesterday that I had been driving under a suspended license since December although I had paid my premium because these idiots never told the state DMV I had insurance. And while I told them for MONTHS that I did not own a certain vehicle, they kept billing me for it! These people are idiots who have caused me a great deal of stress trying to fix their stupid mistakes. I will never use them again!

Bottom line is this... State Farm Ins. Co. does NOT want to hear (especially in their home office in Bloomington, IL. - the President sends somebody else to call me that is young & just started to call back on a complaint about a huge increase in rates. Gee... we can pay for the President's advertising for State Farm, but he can't answer a question on doubling my rates for an accident that was very minimal). I paid 400.00 every 6 mos. & after an accident that they paid out a mere 500.00 for - charged me 800.00 every 6 mos. Somebody called me back after trying to talk to my agent locally in Salt Lake City. Agents just have a very mundane standard answer... "That is just what the rates are - the home office sets the rates."
They are such a giant. They don't care about their customers & please never complain... you will NEVER hear from anybody. I cancelled 3 cars & another policy with them today & I told my agent why I was canceling, because the rates are just ridiculously high & out of sight. She put on the cancellation notice - "Insured by another company". I called her back & told her to put the real reason in my words exactly why I was cancelling & she came back with "We have other insurance in place at a much more reasonable rate than State Farm". I feel the agents can't tell the truth about why their customers are canceling for fear of what?

I was given a new car by my father and I shopped around for policies. State Farm had the best rate, which was still pretty high at $145 per month because I have not had the need for a car for the last 4.5 years, so I have not had auto insurance either. I have a clean driving record, no accidents and have had my license continuously for 21 years. I signed up with them, as the agent was very nice and accommodating. I also signed up for the program where they watch how you drive via a bluetooth device in my vehicle to get a safe driver discount.
I have had the policy for 2 weeks now and I got a call from my agent. She tells me that the rate is going up $40 per month because the vehicle is new to me. I have never heard of this in my entire life. I work from home and drive the vehicle maybe once a week, as they can see from the bluetooth device in my vehicle. They want to charge me $180 per month for a vehicle I drive 200-400 miles per month. I am very upset that this is just coming up. I feel like State Farm is nickel and diming me. I now have to research and find another policy before the end of the month because State Farm will not budge and will not honor the rate that I was originally quoted when I signed up. Through no fault of my own, as stated by the agent herself. STAY AWAY FROM STATE FARM.

The insured NEVER called in the claim and I called the day after the accident. When I gave the claim department my claim info they stated they would investigate and gave me a claim number after taking my information. They asked if I was hurt and I informed them yes, that I was in excruciating pain. They advised me to get treated and to put the claim info for medical treatment.
Fast forward to a month after the accident: Finally I called to follow up, and was informed that the report had came in and that the wrong policy number was originally given. I asked Jerrylin which was the person in charge of that claim if my medical bills would be transferred to the new claim and she stated yes. Many of these services are dealer specific and cannot be performed anywhere else. The State Farm adjusters refuse to pay anything other than what they say is the set price and there have been many times where we as a shop are not fully reimbursed for the services we have paid for. We are a family with 3 vehicles, 1 single family home, and a travel trailer. Been insured with State Farm for 25 years. I'm paying $4200 annually for 3 older vehicles with between 60 and 150k miles on each, a 15-year-old travel trailer, and a modest home in an Indianapolis suburb. Our claims have been few and far between, however, in the past 2 years, since our teenage daughter started driving we've reported a couple accidents. One accident which occurred during a snow storm, involved only our vehicle repairs, no medical expenses, and the other was a ~$250 cost to repair a car she bumped in the parking lot.
A couple months following the parking lot incident, State Farm canceled our policy on her and required us to take another which cost double. A 2008 Acura with 100,000 miles, now cost us $1080 annually. I took it on the chin, figuring that most companies would do the same, until recently receiving a notice that the roadside assistance on all 3 of our vehicles was being terminated. Three calls for help on the Acura between 12-14-14 and 1-1-2016, 1 on the Lincoln in 1-1-17, and 2 on the Dodge Pick-up; 7-28-11 and 9-5-2016. Five calls, between 3 vehicles, spanning over the course of the last 6 years, was enough to eliminate our roadside assistance, whilst maintaining our insurance premium cost.
When I called our agent and asked whether or not the policy stipulated a limitation on services before the benefits would be eliminated, he told me no. Unfortunately, I was 1 of only 2 people he's insured over the past 5 years that has had this happen and the decision to eliminate this coverage was based solely on the State Farm underwriter's discretion. I did not get a ticket and it was the other two cars that hit that caused the accident. State Farm (insurance of the car who was liable) called me a few hours after the accident to ask me how everything was and if I needed anything like a rental or whatever. The lady was so helpful telling me that they would take care of everything. I told her we would like a rental because we have three of us that drive to different places most days. So she arranged a vehicle and sent me the email authorizing it and telling me they would cover all the expenses.
The next day before we went to get the rental they called and said "Never mind, we are still investigating the accident." Meanwhile they sent me two emails telling me to take pictures and giving me my claim number. Then a few days later they call and say they need to tow our car to Utah to see how much damage is done and get an estimate to see how much it would cost to pay the damages. I thought ok so they changed their minds again and now they are going to pay for it. The next day after, they call again and tell me they are not going to pick up our car because they are not liable to pay for the damages. The day after that they call and say they are coming to pick up my car and they did. They took it. Kept it for a few days, making it so we could not get it fixed. Then they call and say they are returning it and not doing anything for us.
We waited a long time to do anything with our car because they kept changing their story. Dan talked to the manager of State Farm and he did nothing to making anything right. Maybe we should charge them rent for taking our car and keeping it without any reason to take it. I will never have anything to do with State Farm, they are the most dishonest insurance company I have ever dealt with!

Never got a call back from her. Weeks later she did send me a letter stating they would not be liable for the damages because according to them there was "no evidence" based on their investigation. I replied with a letter this time and sent her again all the proof I had sent the first time and told her if she did not respond that I would take this case to the court.
Well she called today to explain why they denied payment to the claim. She stated that there was no police report (which I know for a fact that it is not required by law to do so) then stated that they never ever got a hold of their insured driver (he was not being cooperative) so they did not have his side of the story. And that my only witness my brother next to me did not count as a witness because he was in the vehicle with me. Hilarious right? So basically if their irresponsible insured driver lets whoever borrow their car and on top of that does not comply (answers letters and phone calls from State Farm) then they have more voice than us victims who sent them evidence, photos and text messages where they are clearly texting me that if they cannot pay the damages themselves out of pocket then to call their insurance company State Farm so that they can handle it.
They have not seen the last of me though… too many irresponsible people get away with it and too many victims are left like myself, with damages left to our vehicles when we are not at fault. I will make sure a lot of people are aware of these actions by State Farm and their insured drivers. I will make sure that this never happens to me ever again. I have a clean record, I am not a reckless driver. I always drive with precaution especially since I have 2 children. For someone and their insurance company to not want to own up to their actions.

WARNING: THE ONLY PURPOSE THIS COMPANY HAS IS TO COLLECT PREMIUMS, AND NEVER PAY ANYTHING OUT TO CUSTOMERS! They have devoted themselves to perfecting the run-around, and leave people unprotected by the insurance policies they sell... In February of 2017 our parked van was hit by a driver who has State Farm insurance. At the time of the accident, my husband was walking out of a grocery store and saw a lady backing up her SUV into our parked Van. He started yelling "Stop" and waving his arms. She was oblivious and continued backing up till she slammed right into the back of our Van. After hitting our Van she put her car into drive and started to pull away without even trying to see what she hit. My husband ran after her and stopped her. I came out of the grocery store, was told what was going on, and I obtained her information. She never said she was sorry. She admitted that she hit our vehicle.
Our Van is a 1984 Ford e350 Econoline, it is large, 6 feet tall and yellow. On a clear afternoon, if you cannot see our Van, you should not be driving. I called State Farm that afternoon and reported the accident. She called also and admitted that she was at fault, hit our vehicle which was parked with no one inside it. When I reported the accident, State Farm said that since it was her fault, and we were not even in our vehicle, they would take all responsibility for it and pay for the damage she caused. They informed me that I could choose from three repair garages and they would pay them directly for the repairs, OR I could send in pictures and receive a check with which I could obtain repairs on my own. We chose the second option.
I called a second time to find out how to submit pictures of the damage to my bumper and back door. I did what I was told and got no response. I called again and was told I had to use an "app" on my phone to submit pictures for an estimate. I created an account with State Farm online and could log in and see the pictures I had loaded the first time as I was instructed. After using the "app" to load pictures a second time and request an estimate, I waited 5 days and got no response. I called again and was told they were probably just busy and normally it only takes about 48 hours or less to get an estimate. I called again and was told that probably they never got the pictures or request for an estimate (even though I could log in and see the pictures I submitted on the State Farm Website).
So I was told, now 2 weeks after the accident that I could DRIVE my vehicle into town to a car dealership and have a State Farm Representative do an estimate on site and he could ISSUE a check to us right then and there. We took the Van into town the next day, my husband took the day off from work. The State Farm rep took pictures, asked questions etc, then he said "well since your van is an older vehicle and it already has some damage on it, I have to estimate the existing damage, then the damage our customer caused and send both figures into our adjusters. They will decide how much money you will receive." We drove away dismayed, and with 10 minutes I got an email from State Farm saying that our estimate amount was $0.00. The rep had just typed in $1200 for existing damage and $1200 for new damage, leaving zero to be paid, and that was it.
Obviously he just made up a number and typed it in both columns to leave us with nothing. When I called State Farm to complain, I was told that they don't have to pay for damage if the vehicle was already damaged. I asked him if it was ok then for people to just go around backing and slamming into vehicles as long as those vehicles were older or not perfect to begin with. He offered me $300, which I took at that point, NOT BECAUSE THAT AMOUNT WOULD FIX MY VEHICLE, but because I could not waste any more time dealing with this crooked company.
So the lesson is: if you drive a brand new $50,000 car and someone backs into it, you might get the $2000-$3000 it really costs to fix it. If however you can't afford a $50,000 car and you drive a $5,000 or $10,000 car that means a lot to you and you rely on, you do not count, you do not deserve respect, insurance does not apply to you, you will be given the run-around, your time will be wasted, you will be told over and over by different people to do different things, ALL of which will result in you NOT receiving any funds to repair your vehicle, all designed to cause you to give up.

Used the insurance once in 3 years for $64.00 for a lockout service and less than 10mph speeding ticket, which they jacked my rates up for. At renewal they send a letter saying you can keep paying triple the cost but on your high dollar comp & collision policy for 6 more moths but we are dropping your older car (no profit in it for them) and then at renewal we will drop your other car.
Never late once, never any claims, except a property damage claim in 2015 (floods) but hey lie a good neighbor, go screw yourself! When I went to office they acted as if they could care less, not a single let me call corp or anything except here is a 1800 # for corporate customer complaints. I closed a credit card account, checking, 2 auto policies, a jewelry policy and homeowners. And switched to nationwide locally at consultative insurance group, got better coverage a better rate. I recommend them call Susan **.
Mary Bittle never called me or helped. The 800 number said I'm a screw up (paraphrased) but basically we stole your money and the second we pay for anything screw you. I have made complaints with State Farm and BBB concerning money they continue to steal out of my account monthly until I drop them and went to Progressive Insurance and I am very pleased with them. They are wonderful and much cheaper. State Farm should be arrested and charge for fraud and thief. I had their policy for 2 and a half years until they go change my personal info and started taking large amount out of my account and I was never bill a paper declaration page on my policy showing me my amount of my policy. So I called them and they address the call to Ms. Amber ** and Thomas **. They are criminal and should be in jail. I email her and told them to cancel my policy. I no longer wanted them and I was going to another company. They continue to take my out of my account by me enrolling into auto pay.
They continue to take money so I got down right on their butts and told them that I was going to small claim court if they don't let my policy go. So they still would not so I pay Progressive anyway. So they then email me a cancellation form for me to fax back to them. So Mrs. Katie ** accepted the cancellation form and send me in the mail what they had overcharge me for and I went to the Auto department and they accepted the cancellation notice from Mrs. Katie ** saying they would do the same. However I never received a dime from auto policy owing me over two hundred dollars and no they still have not send me my money. And I called to ask whether or not they are cooperated or in-cooperated and they refuse to tell me. I made complaints with their office and with BBB. So now I am about to go public with details and civil matter along with filing charges with the Federal Court System.
State Farm should be shut down and put out of Business. They are commons criminals and should be arrested for such acts of fraud and thief. They should not have license to practice being thieves. I would never ever have them as my insurance carrier ever in this life or the next life and I want to prosecute them to the maximum. They need to be held accountable for being a disgrace to the Insurance holder and policy of carrier and not allowed to do business. I am going to keep on until they are put out of business and that no one will ever think about give them a chance to do any harm to them. They cannot keep this up. They have four thousand bad complaint and they are still in business. This should not even be allow to renew their business license and I will go Local and National until something is done to put them away for good.
I want all of my money they stole from me and I want to know if they are cooperated or in-cooperated. I will continue until this company is not allow to be open and to steal and take money from people. They don't need a license to operate this business. They have criminal working with them and for them and all criminals should be dealt with by the justice system and I will not stop until they are shut down. I have copies of all the complaint and fax and emails sent to this company. Mrs Amber ** and Thomas ** are the two so called criminals that carried the thief charges and they change all of my personal information and address to what they wanted it to be.
So with this said no one is going to trust them or pay any kind of policy from them so they will soon closed down if no one is dealing with them. Progressive Insurance is great and I came out 200 dollars cheaper for the same coverage. Thank you for your time and patience. State Farm is thieves and liars and no one is going to deal with them. I am going to DeKalb County Court and take a civil suit against the two people I mention and State Farm.

I begin by saying that prior to the claims I am discussing here, I have not filed an insurance claim for many years. I am not one of those people that file frivolous claims to bilk the insurance companies. In the summer of 2016 a semi I was following threw a rock and cracked my windshield. I called my State Farm agent immediately. She informed me that I was not covered and State Farm would not pay for a new windshield. I had comprehensive and collision coverage on my vehicle so why was the damage not covered? My agent said that the damage was considered "road hazard" and my policy didn't cover "road hazard". My comprehensive coverage covers glass breakage, just not from "road hazard". That's how State Farm rips policy holders off. They use semantics, a rose by any other name, to keep from paying a claim. Call it road hazard instead of glass breakage and they don't have to pay.
Then, on March 01, 2017, we had some horrible storms in our area. There were 5 confirmed EF 0 tornadoes. We got approx. 6 inches of rain in a few hours. The basement of my rental home was flooded with nearly 18 inches of water. My rental home is in the city, not in a flood plain and nothing like this has ever happened before. The gas furnace and the gas water heater were ruined. I called State Farm to initiate the claim and was told an adjuster would call me within, "usually, 48 hours". NO ONE BOTHERED TO CALL ME. I finally called them and was told that the claim was denied. I was told that the water damage wasn't covered. What? I was told that I didn't have "that endorsement". So if a water pipe were to break, I am not covered? Well, "that would be different". Yeah right, semantics again. This company is terrible and I have cancelled all of my policies with them. Be smart, don't risk your home or vehicles with State Farm's non coverage insurance.

I have been mistreated by my local State Farm Insurance Office and the State Farm Claims Office. On February 6, 2017 I called into my local office to ask a simple question: Do you offer accident forgiveness, such as I have seen that Allstate Insurance offers these services? A lady by the name of Julie ** answered the phone and told me that she would have to transfer my call to someone who could assist me.
Another State Farm agent was on the line and again, I asked the same question. She then proceeded to ask me questions and said that she needed to get some more information from me. She asked. What happened? So thinking that she was going to answer my initial question, I then proceeded to answer her questions. I told her that it was minor and that there was no paperwork needed. She tried to get me to have an Insurance evaluator come out to access the damages and suggested that if I didn't want repairs then someone could come out, give an estimate on repairs and State Farm could possibly cut me a check for the damages. I told her again, No, there was no need for paperwork, please answer my question. She proceeded to tell me that she needed more information from me.
Through the entire conversation she NEVER answered my question and then at the end of the conversation said: "Here is your case number. You will have to call back in to see if they will offer you accident forgiveness or not at a later time and anyone who answers the phone will be able to assist you." I found out later that she illegally opened up an Insurance Claim in my name for my car causing my insurance rates to be raised/more expensive. My local State Farm Office, Janine ** of Port Saint Lucie, FL, pushed me off to the claims department where they forced a claim upon me without my knowledge committing a criminal act. I NEVER requested or authorized any claim to be opened in this matter. This has resulted in ruining my clean driving record and they need to take responsibility for their manipulative way of doing business in this area.
I have contacted the State Farm Claims Department twice and they tell me that they cannot remove the claim from their files once it was opened. I then told them that I never authorized a claim to be opened and it was deceitful, manipulative, and illegal. On February 14, 2017 a Claims Representative named Ryan, called me and argued with me that it was opened and it will not be erased from my record. This representative was rude, argumentative, and when I requested to speak with a manager THREE times this representative denied me and told me that he was NOT getting a supervisor. He refused to give me his operator number or his last name. That is also against the law to deny me a supervisor. I have never been so mistreated by a company such as what I have experienced from State Farm and I have been a State Farm customer for over 10 years.
On February 17, 2017 a supervisor named, Brittney, called from the claims office and left me a voicemail message admitting that she could see in the notes that I did not intend to have a claim opened but unfortunately one was opened and it could not be erased. They cannot legally open a claim if I did not request and/or authorize one to be opened. Their employees are deceitful and had no right to open a claim and should be reprimanded.
In conclusion... DO NOT open any insurance accounts with STATE FARM INSURANCE. Their claims department were more than anxious to meet their quotas and illegally opened a claim against me and now it is a huge mess! I do not trust STATE FARM INSURANCE. They are liars and deceitful in all departments! They have messed up my record and after reaching out to them... They told me basically "We don't care". PLEASE SEEK ANOTHER INSURANCE AGENT THAN STATE FARM... THEY ARE LIARS, DECEITFUL, AND ARE NOT ON "YOUR SIDE"!

Wallace Saunders Law Firm is Located in Missouri and Kansas, for which I will be filing with the bar in both states and seeking the license of at least two Lawyers. Wallace Saunders represents State Farm insurance company. Their only job is to find some legal way out of not paying the customers of State Farm. So if you are contacted by their attorneys from State Farm, Just let your lawyer talk it out and have a decent lawyer that is not scared to go to trial as they will go all the way up to the filing date and send you legal papers that you can only answer 2 ways affirm or deny. They will throw the stupidest questions at you, like admit you caused the accident, admit you were never injured, admit that you caused the injuries to yourself, admit that you are trying to scam State Farm, admit you broke the handrail to make it look like an accident. State Farm will go to any cost to not pay a claim.
I had renters insurance with them and they scammed me. I left and went to Texas. When I came home all of my property was stolen, vandalized or broken. A car was even taken out of my drive way. This company put me to a Special Claims, never sent a person to my residence which by law was the first thing they had to do. Send an adjuster. They had made up their mind when I called. No adjuster came out as required. I was sent to a law firm and gave a 6 or so hour deposition as to what happened. They didn't give me, the required things needed when your home is totaled like hotel expenses, car expenses and expenses for having to eat out. So you know they HAVE to do this, they did not.
The law firm Wallace Saunders asked for receipts. I sent a bunch but not all and I gave them a whole bunch. I continued to send receipts and at some point in the middle of this process I got a letter from the firm saying to forward all information to State Farm. I can only speculate they had thought they found a loophole in the case and gave it to State Farm to say I was not an Insured even though, I spoke to the representative when I set up the Insurance, my school email address was used, my truck was the car being insured and added Renters insurance, I filled out the forms, I had all conversations with State farm. They have said I am not an insured, my "Wife" was. Okay, well we both lived at the same address, she claimed the same address at the time of the thefts so, anything that happened during that time, I was covered even if my name wasn't on the insurance. I got the renters insurance. Not my wife.
So, Based on that alone I was covered right? Well they said no, I was not an insured. Okay, then by law I am a 3rd party victim. A burglar could have been injured and they would have been covered if they were injured on my property or if they slipped or fell State Farm would have had to pay. I in good faith did what I was supposed to do. After looking up complaints against State Farm Insurance, it seems this is common practice that goes against the companies own code of ethics and is therefore illegal. So, it seems that even though my property in my house that was insured, was not insured somehow. I am only left to speculate as to what Wallace Saunders told them to allow them to deny the insurance claim but since I had another case that State Farm was 6 years old. I didn't even know that a company could legally not pay out a claim for that long.
State Farm is involved in FRAUD. This is Fact. The actions taken were Illegal. The Claims Agent Pam ** Called and just said your claim is denied because I am not an insured. Now, even though the whole thing was bought by me paid for by me negotiated by me and the renters insurance, these people will do anything they can to NOT pay a claim and I mean anything they can. Even break their own company policies and the law to do so. Now, I am suing and taking them to court and including a Law Firm Wallace Saunders, and suing their "Specialist" as well.
If you ever have any dealings with State Farm make sure you have a lawyer that is not scared to go to trial and insist on a speedy trial or they will drag this on for years. Don't wait for lame offers, just set any case for trial. 2 things are certain. Juries don't like insurance companies or lawyers and I am suing both in one for acting in concert with one another to avoid paying claims, breaking their own rules, policies and procedures as well as the law. Do not use them for your insurance, and if you're unfortunate to be a victim of one of their clients, you know you will not get what you rightfully have coming. I am filing a lawsuit and anyone who is eligible can join to make this a class action lawsuit.

On Feb 10th I got a letter in the Mail from State Farm, Stating that I will no longer be able to renew my policy. So I was scared and shopped around for insurance and to my luck, I found a new one. State Farm was my first choice mainly because of the advertisements they place on the T.V and online. I never missed a payment so I was a bit angry because of that. So basically on the 10 of Feb I called State Farm and asked to cancel all my policies because I wouldn't Need them anymore, plus the Life insurance was worth nothing. State Farm stated that they would communicate with My agent so they could communicate with me. I called more than 3 times, and my agent never called me.
I'm a very busy man so basically I had to call them after I got charged after I cancelled and then they tell me that in order to cancel my policies I need to do it in writing and their excuse for not communicating with me was that they missed the email sent more than 3 times. So the struggle is real with State Farm, The customer Service sucks when you're in a bad situation. They hang up on you, they give you false hope, and to get your money back is a pain. Which begs the questions, "What is all that advertisement all about?" I don't feel happy with how I left State Farm, my car wasn't repaired correctly and I expected to be helped by them at least. I purchased a new car on January 10th. Called the after hours and was quoted $110 vs my old payment of $93 per month. The next day I called to confirm and they said "Sorry the overnight agent was incorrect and it is $136 per month." I was obviously upset about being told one price and then it going up by $26 per month in one night. They requoted $114. I said "Fine let's do it" even though I had quotes from Progressive and GEICO for $108 & $112 because I have been with State Farm my entire life of driving of 11 years and my mother her entire life of nearly 40 years. The week after my mother receives a bill that shows $132 per month. I call and they said "Ignore that as that was incorrect." My State Farm office said it would be $127 not $136 or $132. Then the office said final official quote was $115 or $696 per 6 months. I said perfect and they said payment was due tomorrow. My mom called to pay.
Two weeks after, the bill showed $125 per month. I finally got ahold of the agent (David **) and he said sorry for human error but it's not his or his office's fault that the underwriters changed the billing. He doesn't handle billing. He said the only thing he would do was change my policy and it would go down to $117. They said they could sell me renters insurance which was $9 per month plus $114 car insurance. All of which is not okay. I have had the same policy with them for 11 years and the way they value their customers is to bait and switch? They can only say sorry that human error did not quote correctly. Human error is okay 2-3 times, but 10 separate occasions is not human error.
I have called customer service. They admit their wrongdoing in quoting but only says it's human error and they can't help me but "We value you." I am just shocked that they don't value me or my mother after forever. I am reaching out to my state insurance commissioner and the customer service manager. Their customer service is horrible! When I asked what I should do to cover prescriptions and in general continue living without income, she said "I would suggest Federal assistance and we will handle your claim when it comes up in rotation". I signed and returned all release forms for them and they still told me that they had not received any bills, even though they (State Farm) sent me a copy of the original hospital bill. I did the leg work for the claim handler and got all medical bills and sent them to her.
I am now continuing to get the run around and am being told that a settlement offer has been drawn up but needs approval from 2 other managers. It has been over 2 months since the accident and I have been released from doctor's care for almost a month now and still NOTHING from State Farm. Their claims handlers are rude and do not attempt to be helpful in the least. I realize that they have a job to do and that they are not obligated to care, but as a representative of State Farm, you would think they are at least responsible for customer service and to be of some assistance. Obviously, their job is to drag their feet and just wear the customer down so that they are tired of dealing with it and will just accept whatever to be rid of dealing with them.
I have approximately $40,000 in medical bills and am beginning to receive collection notices because State Farm is doing nothing to get my claim handled. I have been attempting to get State Farm Auto Insurance Claims Department to finalize the damage estimate and pay out on my 2003 Mitsubishi Galant since December 9, 2016. I have spoken to the "Claims Department" more than 20 times, and have only spoken to the same representative twice, both of those conversations were due to the representative calling me back for additional information.
Every time I call State Farm Auto Claims Department, it is like refiling the claim, in its entirety, and having someone new evaluate it. Today, February 22, 2017, I have received a third damage estimate. State Farm now states that they must re-evaluate the entire claim, based on this new information. Here we go! 2 more months of unreturned phone calls, speaking to 20 more "Claims Associate" that need to review the entire claim file before they can tell me that "The Claim Handler" (who I am not allowed to speak to) will need to review the new information before a decision can be reached. 2 times now, a State Farm "Claims Associate" has informed me that my car is a total loss. 2 times now, a State Farm "Claims Associate" has given me a Total Loss Payout Amount, and made arrangements to pay the loss to me, and 2 times now, the offer for payout has been rescinded.
The new estimate appears to have been accepted by State Farm, and published; I was notified via email. But none of the "Claims Associates" I spoke with this afternoon, can tell me what happens next. Now that the damage truly does exceed the value, no offer is on the table. More than 2 months of this ridiculous back and forth has impressed one thing upon me; I would hate to be paying for such incompetent, untrustworthy, and despicable service.

I burst out laughing every time I hear or see one of their commercials advertising car insurance great rates or the discount you (don't) get when you have a renters policy as well. Is there truly any doubt why they've a need for advertising? A few years ago a woman fell off her bicycle while traveling at a high rate of speed. She was unconscious for perhaps 2 or 3 minutes. I called 911 and when the police arrived, asked if I'd hit her? I said absolutely NOT. There was a man on a bicycle behind her who corroborated my statement. In fact there was never even a Police Report but rather an Incident Report that unequivocally stated I'd no contact with the bicyclist.
When she found out I had STATE FARM she sued me knowing their reputation for paying claims. I immediately contacted the Division of Insurance Fraud who they took the case. They stated if she were to pursue her erroneous claim she'd be subject to 5 years in jail in addition to a huge fine. The woman not only changed her story several times but the deposition lasted over 5 hours. She lacked even the slightest modicum of credibility. The lawyer stated they never heard a more pathetic deposition. She talked about her ex-boyfriends and their SEX life?!?
Needless to say State Farm paid the claim! Not only did she collect $100,000 from my policy she then sued her own and got another $150,000. There wasn't a microscopic ounce of evidence to pay the claim yet through their total incompetence handed over $100,000 and why there's such rampant insurance fraud in today's society. I've no doubt State Farm employees are in cahoots with lawyers. The Division of Insurance Fraud was licking their chops waiting to pursue this and yet State Farm paid her instead. Even they agreed, it’s companies like State Farm who exacerbate and foster insurance fraud.

I have had State Farm insurance since 1990. Originally from Pa then I moved to Florida and how things changed. I had a minor fender bender in a parking lot in 2015 no damage to my car and only paint damage to the other. Then in November I lent my car to someone and they got in an accident. I asked at the time if that was going to affect my insurance and they assured me it wasn't. Well, here it is two years later and they decided to not renew my policy. I got a letter listing the "accidents and claims". They actually held it against me that I used the road service two times and that was also used to determine their decision.
After being with them for 27 years I'm sure I've more than paid for these incidents 10 times over. They will gladly take you as a customer if you are perfect. I would not recommend them to anyone. They are expensive and hard to deal with. It took two weeks to get my claim going. They charge extra for the road service and then turn around and list it as a "claim" when you use it. I have signed on with Geico for a little more a month but everything like road service, rental car, and a low deductible is included in the premium. State Farm charges extra for every little thing. Shop around everyone there are better choices out there. I was just naive I took what insurance was convenient back in 1990. I don't even think Geico was around back then. There were very few choices. Buyer beware.

Moved from NY to NJ. Simple enough?? Well, State Farm botched the paperwork and cancelled all our policies after 31 years of no claims, all on-time payments. Get it fixed? Not possible. Runaround after runaround. My family got completely hung out to dry. Dozens of calls to "customer service" (really?). Wrong information, snotty CS agents, fabrication of our current status and long waits to speak to the next do-nothing in line. Would drop dead if anyone from this outfit gave us straight answers. No way out of this mess, other than to go to another company. Still in hell trying to get answers.

I have had very bad experience with State Farm, neither Agency office nor customer care knows anything how State Farm works. When my spouse went back to home country I have submitted form in person in Rancho Cordova Office in California state to remove from her the premium, they said they will be taken care with a big smile, however after 3 months I found out the request is not completed. When contacted agents office in California she gave me a very funny reason that they have only a reason to exclusion family member is either divorce or death.
And after 5 weeks when contacted customer support specialist he said the underwriters are processing the requests on first come first basis. I have asked him a counter question. How come they have completed the request for moving to Los Angeles for increasing the premium rate instantly but removing the spouse is not yet completed even after 5 months. I also have very bad experience with State Farm related to claims and roadside emergency. Dear readers, anyone please tell me your genuine experience with State Farm, I am now really scared to continue with State Farm. If they cannot complete one small request in months how come they can take care of roadside emergencies and claims. Thanks.

I was hit by a client of State Farm's who ran a red light. There were numerous witnesses, the police and even the other driver admitted fault. The day after the accident a State Farm rep called me in the morning to get the details. They quickly informed me they needed to do more investigating. By the end of the day, they called me back to tell me they were denying the claim!

I have recently gotten insurance with State Farm in Lenexa, KS. I have to say that they suck. I ran over a piece of ice on a cold day and my bumper cracked somehow. I made a claim and the amount they estimated was nowhere near what the shops said it would cost. I have gotten the runaround and have been told nothing but lies. I was told that they estimated a new bumper being replaced at $250. The shops I went to all said it would cost over $1000 to replace everything that needed to be replace everything. I really wish I was not dealing with them because they are liars and just awful. They cant even get their stories straight. One guy told me that they would send out the rest of the money needed for the repairs if it wasnt enough. Then someone else said they werent going to honor what I was told.
I would not recommend them to my enemy. I had Progressive at one point and I thought they were bad but they seem like saints compared to State Farm. Whats the point of full coverage if you cant get your bumper fixed. I was very offended by the people that have been handling my claim. I plan to get out of their insurance company and go somewhere else. My dad plans to leave as well. I have never been so furious when doing business with someone. They arent hesitant when they withdraw their payment from my account each month. I am very disappointed in their services and I feel like they lie about their offerings. My full coverage insurance is not cheap. Im so done and over this company and their employees.

Terrible Unethical Company! I am very unimpressed with State Farm Auto Insurance. I am actually considering suing them for taking advantage of the mentally disabled. I may be highly functioning but I feel like I have been taken advantage of and had my privacy rights severely violated. At the beginning of the claim we gave them specific instructions to contact the insurance agent handling the claim through my insurance. When that fails to contact my designated legal guardian. The first few months, the group of insurance agents aware of this fact did a fine job of keeping within the contact circle.
After a few months, State Farm started contacting me and leaving peer pressuring voice mails on my phone to contact them. Well you call State Farm Auto Insurance back and all you get are ** voice mails! You have to go through their slew of phone trees before you actually get someone. When you get someone it's not the designated party handling your insurance.
My designated guardian and I called them back to see what they wanted. We thought it was to challenge our demand letter. No! It was a con into providing a recorded statement! Which is full of false information due to my mental disability not allowing me to understand half the questions. It was illegal for my mother to guide me for answers. A few of the answers were revoked due to her trying to answer for me. I work retail and am trained to blindly say "yes" and be compliant to all whether I understand them or not. I honestly did not understand any of the questions they were requesting of me. The recorded statement they illegally made me speak against my will is full of lies. The only piece of information accurate to the day of the m.v.a. incident is the dash cam video. Which they refuse to view unless it's burned to a data disc.

First let me say that I have always been a loyal State Farm customer, but I am very dissatisfied with this specific agent (State Farm Jacob Rossell). I have tried to call his office multiple times, and I receive a voicemail every time. I have several issues that need be addressed. I can never get a hold of anyone at the actual office location and have to call the general customer service line. I have reported that my mailing address is wrong several times, but every time. I have contacted customer care to update this as well without success. Apparently, the branch manager has to review the request to update this info. Obviously, he does not read his emails...
He removed my low mileage discount from my policy without my knowledge because notification to verify my mileage was sent to the wrong address. I have been paying for this increase for 7 months now. I currently have 2 homeowners policies. One on the incorrect address that I have never lived at. And a second on my actual residence. I have also been charged for this false policy for 8 months now. I have not been reimbursed for his lack of diligence. So far, his branch owes me almost $400.

I started services with State Farm because they said it would be cheaper than the current insurance company I was currently with. They asked me to sign papers for me to have automatic payments through the company. I originally said, "Sure I would like it," but 15 days later they go in my account to attempt to take another payment out. Which a full 30-31 day cycle haven't lapped yet. So that's the first incident! They actually called me after attempting to take money out my account. My respond; it's not even time for me to pay. Which I didn't even get pay yet so yeah that was considered a return check and a Overdraft fees. Every time they called they would try to get me to sign up with them for this automatic payment plan. That right there with the first incident already got me apprehensive of signing up with them.
So bottom line too many problems I decide not to sign up with them. I go to call in my payment for the month they tell me "Oh you owe 232 and some change." I tell them how does my payment go from 69 dollars to that large amount. They proceed to tell me because I didn't sign the papers and send them back they automatically picked my tort (which we discussed obviously the first time I sign up) and because I didn't sign the automatic payment plan it made my payments jump. I tell them there is no way I can pay that much and if I could I would've just stayed with my old company. So the day it was due I called them and cancel after all this debate of why I don't want to deal with them. (Mind you I never signed papers stating they can go in my account for reoccurring payments).
The next day of canceling with them they go into my account illegally. And I'm having a hard time getting my money back that they took illegally! My mother also happened to have the same problems a couple years ago come to find out. After reading other reviews. Beware of this company bad business!! My experience your could be great or worst! Good luck!

Then when this lady name Nuncia ** take the case she sent this guy who did the report after 10 days of the accident happen, they said the repairs cost 1000 almost but they only going to paid 490 because my cars was already repair before. I think this is so unfair because is my car was repair or no they have to give my car the way it was. Now I have to paid the differences, when it was not in my plans to make this spend. I am not insured by State Farm however their insured driver backed into my parked vehicle. I submitted a claim for my damaged bumper but State Farm denied the claim. The adjuster said there was previous damage to the bumper. The damage that he spoke of has a good little story behind it and I kinda smile when I see it. The opposite side of the bumper it's where some guy backing out of his driveway not paying attention has caused more damage. Besides the facts of either instance, the bumper it's repairable. Should I decide to have it repaired it would cost me more due to the damage caused by State Farm's careless driver. I have threatened legal action. Let's see where it goes.

I have been with State Farm for nine years. I was extremely happy with them until 2 years ago when my policies started increasing every six months. I have the same vehicle, no tickets, no accidents, and I haven't moved. My vehicle is getting older, so more expensive unnecessary coverage was not needed. I experienced an increase of $40 a month twice a year. This last six month period ended in December and I asked why my coverage changed without my consent and why the price has been increased. Tiana stated she would fix it and in January not only was my COVERAGE WRONG, my rate went up another $40 a month. I looked at 3 other insurance companies Allstate, Geico and American Family. All of them quoted me less than 1/2 of what State Farm was charging me.
When I called to cancel my insurance I was hung up on. This wasn't a negative conversation, so I was confused by the unprofessional behavior. I still had questions, so I called back. This was at 3 pm. They let me go to voicemail so I left a message for a return call. Still haven't received one. Buyer beware. This company is fraudulently increasing coverage to cover quotas. They are also highly unprofessional.

After 40+ years of having State Farm insurance I had a small rear end accident where I "tapped" the rear end of the car ahead of me while I was "hooked" up to a car washing pulley. I was not operating my car. I was following the directions of the car wash employee to move forward. When I obeyed the employee he suddenly yelled to stop but my car could not stop and I "tapped" the rear end of the car ahead of. With a perfect California DMV driving record State Farm penalized me for this small rear end accident by raising my premiums $320 per year. So much for customer loyalty to State Farm. I would not recommend California State Farm to anyone.

I had poor experience with rental car. I was not at fault for an incident and I was getting a 100% coverage from State Farm who is the insurance of party at fault. As per my own insurance policy, I am entitled for rental coverage at $50 per day. However State Farm just made sure that they will pay only for the segment of vehicle I am owning. I feel that I should have claimed via my insurance and asked State Farm for a refund rather than going through State Farm. Their claims agents were not willing to correct this when I approached them. Poor service.

State Farm is the least helpful company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. The last few months has been hell with this company. One place can't remember to automatically withdrawn the payment from our account and we moved to a different agent after the first one screwed everything up and they ended up withdrawing payments twice in 1 month! Not to mention the fact that for months we could not get into the online State Farm account and come to find out the wrong email address had been used to set up our account but they kept telling us we could reset it ourselves (clearly not the case since any reset was being sent to the wrong email address!!!).
When we switched to the new branch we asked repeatedly if there was any hold due to the lapse which occurred when Rob Fields neglected to automatically charge us for our monthly insurance (for the 2nd time in a 6 month period). We were assured that they could see nothing wrong with our registration/account, we find out by being pulled over that they were wrong and the registration was suspended!!!! After paying almost $500 to State Farm to get things straightened out we now owe DMV $320 in fine.
Not one person would help us. We had no clue that anything was suspended. Nobody called to say payment had not been made and no email was sent. DMV was the only place that contacted us and that was only after everything was a mess. The woman actually shrugged her shoulders at me when I went into the office for help and said nothing I can do. The owner gave me the number for customer service and told me to call them. When I asked who she reported to she said nobody is above her and she can't (wouldn't) help.

My insurance claim was denied. On 12/13/16 I filed a claim with State Farm, my insurance company after I had experienced vehicle breakdown on 12/12/16. I had my vehicle towed to the repair shop where it was diagnosed that sugar water had been poured into my gas tank. The technician showed me the effects of the sugar contamination to my fuel pump, gas lines and tank, as well as to the spark plugs and engine heads. At that time I informed my insurance agent of the issue and it was filed as a vandalism claim.
After the claims adjuster accessed the vehicle it was his determination that there was sugar contents found in all of those areas and that those would be covered but that the engine failure was not due to the sugar but posed that it was from engine wear and would not cover any repairs to the engine. I disputed his assessment and provided the insurance company with receipts of routine vehicle maintenance records and oil changes/stating the condition of the vehicle prior to the vandalism was in great condition. I asked for a second review as the repair shop disagreed with the adjuster's assessment.

We call, of course stay on the phone forever after calling several times throughout this process and getting the runaround several times. He didn't even give us the right claim! Not to mention driving all over the place for estimates which has been a huge inconvenience. His claim was a little over $1000 so what am I supposed to do? Pay 1,500 out of pocket! So disgusted!! My car got hit and they should pay for the damages! I'm not even sure if he claimed all the damages they wouldn't tell us!
