SF insured caused a wreck which I was involved in on 1/24/2023. I was at ZERO fault. SF refuses to cover OEM parts for a Porsche that is certified. If non-OEM parts are put on a certified vehicle, it voids the certification. Also repairs are being made by a Porsche certified repair shop. Porsche does not allow them to put non-approved parts on a Porsche. I refuse to pay the $1720.98 difference because I was not at fault AND SF has to put my car back to pre accident condition which includes its certification.

I gave this company 1 star but it should be LESS! I purchased a new car outright. All of the "t's" were crossed and the "i's" dotted while I was at the dealership finalizing the paperwork, I got the car home and within 2 weeks I received a cancellation letter from State Farm. The letter (in writing) claimed that the reason I was being cancelled was because I was driving another car illegally for 6 months prior to the purchase of the policy I had just got. I did not own a car for over a year prior to the purchase of this car. Try as I might. I could NOT get a hold of anyone in underwriting. My agent was NO help. They kept telling me that the reason this all happened was because the wrong model of car was put on the original paperwork - but the letter blamed ME. I got really mad and upset - and was FORCED to change agents. I feel like I was treated horribly and they just don't care.

Please please be very careful with this agency. Ana Maria ** was supposed to cancel my new policy on 2/10/23 since I chose to not purchase the new car. Every few days I would reach out to her via phone and email and was continuously told my refund will be "credited back to my card" in a few days. Every time I reached out the answer was "another one or two days". By 3/3/23 I still did not receive it.
I then called the underwriting department at State Farm and a supervisor informed me that Ana did not request the cancelation until 2/28/23. The supervisor informed me it was because Ana held off to get commission from the sale of the auto policy. I was called back on 3/7/23 and was informed they do not refund to a debit or credit card. They only send a check. On 3/7/23 I was told it was printed and mailed. Today is 3/11/23, still no check however other things from state farm dated for 3/8 and 3/9 were in my mailbox today. Please do yourself a great service and completely skip this specific office. It should under no circumstances take 5 weeks for a refund without the refund even being received.

They nickel and dime you to death before paying a damage claim. They try to use used parts even on a new luxury car. They take forever to respond as well and meanwhile your car remains in the shop unfixed! Of course it might be faster if you use one of their own shops but then you have no control whatsoever. Even the body shops hate dealing with this company.

I purchased an auto policy for 6 months that ended January 17th and new policy started the 18th. On January 18th 2023 the new premium started and I wanted out since it increase a lot. I forgot it was on autopay so I had to contact the company and give them proof I had new insurance and was told I would get my refund after it went to underwriting. First of all the premium was $488.95 that was taken and they owed me 3 of the 4 weeks but I received in the mail $85.53. Now I know anyone with any sense understands that's not right. I've spent the better part of 2 weeks going back and forth with the agent which each time says it's the underwriter that determines the refund and even agrees with me that's not right. Several times the agent went back and forth with the underwriters and even told me they owed me more but would call us back the next day.
Well I'm sure you guessed no one called us back. Today on got on the phone and called the corporate office for State Farm thinking surely as big as they are they would help me fix it. Nope I was greatly disappointed! The person on the phone said we don't talk to people only the local agents in that state could talk to underwriting and not them. What??? But they did make a chain of calls to my state to speak to someone who basically told me she's been doing this for 25 years and that's the way it's done. But when I asked how it was determined my refund she was without words.
How can you run a business and not know how to help a customer understand what they being charged for and why their rebate makes no sense. I was told they took fees from my rebate because I never provided the proper documentation. So I had it for 6 months and now when I'm due a refund something is missing? Run as far away from this company as far as you can because at the end of the day they don't care about making things right and just saying I'm the expert of 25 years and that's just the way it is. I use to have this company for years and had a great experience so I came back but now I'm gone for good.

I have had a policy with State Farm for nearly 10 years. I have been satisfied with them up until my most recent experience. I was very hopeful given my other experiences, however, this was terrible, to say the least. State Farm and its employees have shown their true colors: they are great until you need them, and then they want to process you as quickly as possible. An insurance agency should have goals of being efficient, accurate, and fair. I am now clear that State Farm only cares to move claims through its process as quickly as possible, even without all supporting documentation and reports. Prior to State Farm, I was with one of their largest competitors and was treated much better. I am disappointed and am in the process of changing my insurance agency. I may later find that they are not any better, but I will not continue to give my business to a company that favors speed over precision.

We have had State Farm for 12 yrs. Our 1st Auto claim has been ridiculous. Due to the pandemic parts have taken longer to receive, which is understandable. However, State Farm doesn't care, they didn't offer to extend our rental car so we have been a one car family for 3 weeks. Then today we get a call from our repair shop to let us know our vehicle is ready but they can't release it because State Farm sent the payment to the wrong collision repair shop. Now we are trying to figure out how to get the money to our actual repair shop so they can release our car. We have been without our vehicle for 6 weeks now. I'm not sure how they could have made such a mistake when they had been dealing with our repair shop during the whole process. Not satisfied at all and will be looking for a new insurance company.

This is by far the worst Insurance company in the world. I have been trying to get my vehicle from tow yard to Body Shop for 2 weeks now. Claims agents keep telling me that it will be taken care of the next day. Still not taken care of. Now they are sending me to their tow Vendor (Agero) and they are giving me same runaround. I'm already going through a nightmare with the accident, I expect a insurance company to help me.

My daughter was in a car accident 12-03-22 and this auto claim has been a nightmare! The vehicle was supposed to be towed that day to repair shop but never happened. The 2nd shop, who agreed to accept, never received the vehicle. The vendor that StateFarm uses to hire tow company stated “too late to drop car off, repair shop won’t accept it “, which we confirmed was due to the delay of the tow company. So instead of delivering the vehicle, they left the car in a tow lot nearby in efforts to increase the amount of storage fees StateFarm would have to pay.
We were told at one point StateFarm didn’t even know where the vehicle was for several days, not to mention my family made countless calls everyday this week to claim dept and repair shops to get this vehicle towed/repaired. We eventually reached out to our State Farm agent to help resolve this issue. State Farm agents as well as 2 of the claims reps, Pete and Tanya were helpful. However, the claims supervisor, Diana ** assured me everything was taken care of and never followed the claim to insure that it was. I have been told that the vehicle will be dropped off 12-19-22 but repair shop can’t begin working on it until 2nd week in January. StateFarm has definitely dropped the ball and we are seriously considering going elsewhere!

WORST experience with an insurance Company in my 33 years of driving and I used to be a State Farm customer (never will be again). I was involved in an accident (no fault of my own, the State Farm driver got a ticket for the accident). Since the State Farm customer was clearly at fault, I filed the claim myself with State Farm instead of going through my insurance Company so I'm not out my deductible for several months. Since my car was still technically "driveable" although the bumper is hanging down etc.., they wouldn't even send an adjuster out to see the car.
They said I had to download their app, take photos and submit through the app (30 minutes). I did and asked to speak with the adjuster when their estimate came back $4,000 lower than the two shops that I took my car to....they pushed for me to go to their shop which I didn't feel good about (my car is a Corvette with 9,000 miles so I wanted it back to like new condition). Well long story short, I made over 10 phones calls, waiting over 3 hours in total on the phone was promised 3 call backs which I never got over 3 weeks, all the while my car is not being driven.
On my 11th call, I spoke with Chris Mance who told me that what they offered was all that they were going to pay and I could file the claim on my own insurance Company. I explained to Mr. Mance that when I spoke to an attorney I was advised that I could sue the 70 year old State Farm customer who hit me (which I don't want to do b/c she is someone's Grandmother who made a mistake!) and his response was you sure can! So after 4 weeks total from the time of my accident, I filed the claim with my insurance Company, NC Farm Bureau. WOW, what a difference! I filed the claim, received a call from an ADJUSTER the next morning (which I couldn't ever speak to at State Farm) who provided her direct number and within 2 days had approved my repair! Incredible how State Farm is still in business playing the shell/waiting game with customers.

There has been lack of communication as to when we are going to get word on a decision to total it or receive a check for the worth of the car. My husband has spent a lot of time on the phone trying to speak with the right person to get this figured out. We have had good service in the past, but this has been a frustrating situation because our daughter lives in Lacrosse and we are having to get a different vehicle to her and wait to find out what the situation will be with this car.

In the state of MN (can't speak to others, may apply) if you accidently hit a relative's car that also lives with you, such as an adult child, mother-in-law etc, State Farm will not cover the accident. This is an exclusion on their policy, my exclusion are listed on pages 9 and 10 of my policy. In our case our son's insurance will pay for his damages caused by my wife hitting his car. His insurance company wants to be reimbursed for the damages so they'll come after my wife for the entire $2300 bill. State Farm will NOT cover this per their exclusions. You have NO coverage in this instance and have to pay for all the damages. I've filed a complaint with the insurance commissioner of MN and waiting on a review of my case.

In July, I bought insurance from State Farm online for my cheap 2008 Kia Optima car. I chose full coverage on the site. 3 days ago my car was stolen with all my stuff (phone, cards, cash and etc.). I contacted my agent and he told me that I had not full coverage insurance. And to be more precise, the minimum insurance. I was at a loss because it turns out I was paying $200 every month for a minimum insurance of car's cost of only $7,000!!! I am 26 years old, I have been driving a car for 7 years without incident and I have been driving in the USA for half a year.
I did not suspect that I had incomplete insurance, because I paid quite a lot for this insurance. I was sure that $ 200 is the amount for which I will have full insurance, as I indicated on the site. Because as soon as I arrived in the USA, I took out insurance in another company for a car with the same price, for two people. And we only paid $100. Now I'm crushed! I am a migrant, the car and the things in it - that's all I had ... I was robbed and I lost it all. But it turns out that I was also robbed by my insurance company, because on the site I indicated full insurance and paid $ 200 per month, but it turned out that this was the minimum insurance... My friends advised me that your company is good and reliable, in which there will be no problems. But it turned out that choosing you as an insurance company is my biggest mistake in the USA!

My car was unattended and not running in my garage. When entering my house I pressed the garage door close button and the garage door closed, raking my liftgate as it closed. Damage is cosmetic but will cost in the neighborhood of $1500 to $2000. Several deep gouges and slight dents. My car has a red color tint coat red paint which is premium cost.
1.) My comprehensive deductible is $100 and my collision deductible is $500.
2.) I believe that this will affect my spotless driving record and could lead to rate increases in the future.
3.) My agent said he researched this and claims that is the industry standard. He declined to speak with me in person and texted his answer to me which perturbs me just a little.
Maybe the State Insurance Commissioner should 'look into 'the definitions' which can easily be biased by the bottom line! In favor of the Insurance Company.

There has been no communication or action from State Farm, with me or body shop since 8/18/22. Due to a reduction of the original supplemental claim submitted by body shop to State Farm, with no response to my many email requests for information about my claim from State Farm, I hired an independent appraiser/collision specialist, invoking my policy appraisal clause on 8/1/2022 with State Farm. State Farm has refused to provide the name and contact information of their hired independent appraiser to me. Rental expires 9/16/22.
I want the rental vehicle extended. I want State Farm to respond to body shop in good faith to either approve the supplemental damage claim submitted 8/18/2022 immediately 8/18 OR, total loss the damaged vehicle and pay the fair market value of my vehicle immediately. Then they threaten to cancel your new policy within one month or else you have to pay more than double your quoted rates if you want to keep your auto insurance. Their only excuse for the price hike and canceling of the policy is I have a poor credit score. It doesn't matter to this Company that I have zero claims, zero accidents, and no traffic violations on my record. These important factors should always outweigh credit score when it comes to risk factor calculation algorithms Completely deceptive, unfair price gouging, discrimination intentionally causing adverse effects to consumers. "Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there," slogan. The above statements from State Farm is far from the experience I had. My experience was "horrifying, very stressful, feeling nauseous but not throwing up" . On December 31, 2021 my Toyota Tacoma was hit on the driver side by a State Farm driver. The video camera clearly shows the accident. Driver B clearly has the right away (Me). Driver A crossed 3 lanes of highway traffic and crashed into Drive B. (State Farm driver)
After reviewing the video camera, State Farm stated IT DOES NOT CONSTITUTE AN ADMISSION OF LIABILITY and refused to pay for the damage (see video). Some "State Farm associate members" told me (on the phone) that the video camera totally support Driver B, but the decision was out of their hands. I know all phone calls are recorded, hopefully, the recorded phone calls explanation from some "State Farm associate members" will throws light on their behavior.
"Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there," applies to the folks that have State Farm Ins. (Everyone else contact your own insurance company). I read several stories like minds regarding State Farm not accepting liability for accidents. This type of unjustifiable, trickster and fraud behavior from State Farm needs to be exposed." There were 3 cars involved in the accident... Car 2 hit my vehicle as I sat in traffic on the Highway causing significant damage... I am in Car 3...Car 1 was supposedly the originator at fault from hitting Car 2. The problem with that is... there is no damage between Car 1 and Car 2.. other than Car 1 bumper popped loose, so, while there was impact between Car 1 and Car 2... there was certainly no major damage to where it hit and knocked Car 2 into me (Car 3) and caused all of my damage to both my car rear end and Car 2 front end.. Car 2 has absolutely no damage to the rear end where Car 1 supposedly hit it.. That's because Car 2 hit me (Car 3) first... then, Car 1 might have mildly touched Car 2 after the 1st impact.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to take photos of all of the condition points of the car before it was sent to the shop so I had no way to contest the condition valuation. Cut the amount I received in half.
Horrible company. Would not recommend at all. All the reviews on here are people without problems. The real reviews come up when you have real problems. I had 1 " accident". Someone lost a large object off their vehicle at night on the interstate I saw it too late and ran over it and tore the underside of my car. This is been a real eye-opener into how State Farm feels about its clients.
At one point I was told I was not a priority although it took their adjuster 3 days to get out to look at my vehicle while the days for my rental car coverage ticked away. Never thought I was asking to be a priority I was only asking them to do their job. That's what I've been paying for all these years that they would be there when I needed it as my payments were always there on time I did my job! I have been loyal to this company but now I'm seeing what happens when you need them! I'm definitely looking into other options for insurance. Only reason am giving them 2 stars is for several years of reasonable service. Would have given them 4 stars apart from my last experience with them, which drove me to other carrier [Farmers]. That experience was horrible customer service over the span of maybe a year with no resolution. Good for them. They failed to honor their obligations, gave me a ton of lies instead, and held onto several thousand dollars [passing that burden to me, the insured].
My experience: a sketchy dealership damaged the engine block of my vehicle, requiring a bolt hole to need re-tapped at a larger size. State Farm told me they that although I have comprehensive coverage, they could not cover damage by a mechanic's shop unless it was on their preferred provider list. That was absurd and I challenged them on that. They subsequently changed their story that they had never said that...but they had.
Then, they would only say that I would have to pay for the tear-down and then their inspection would determine if it would or would not be covered. Any attempts to get them to pin down what would invalidate coverage, assuming facts were exactly as stated [I already have independent mechanic who has indicated the damage in writing and is willing to discuss his findings with them], was met with brickwalling of Sophist word games. No straight answer possible. After trying for months, I am merely absorbing the damage caused by the mechanic, and getting a new insurance carrier.
Total Cost: About $1000 to tear down to do the repair. I have not priced the repair. Guessing another $1000...? Additionally, there is the cost of the previous "temporary" repair that was part of the interim process while wrestling with State Farm: $1000. So, guessing in the ballpark of $3000 that they reneged on, acting like I don't have comprehensive insurance that covers damage done to the vehicle by a shop.
[Side Note: the sketchy shop--another issue altogether--*REFUSED* to give me their liability insurance info so that I could file a claim through it. State Farm could, however, subrogate this claim back through their liability...but that would make waves.]
Never again State Farm for me, nor can I recommend them to others. My opinions and beliefs, only.

Our van was hit by a pick-up truck when my husband was trying to turn left from the turn lane. The pick-up bumped into our van on the right while the husband was standing. That is, the unequivocal fault of the pick-up driver. Nobody was hurt, fortunately. Immediately after the accident, the pick-up driver said that he was at fault and his insurance company would cover everything. He showed his insurance, but refused to give his phone number. My husband called the police. The police office made a report. Later, we uploaded the report - the policeman found the driver of the pick-up at-fault.
Then the causer of the accident began to hide and did not answer the calls of his insurance (State Farm). When, finally, he answered, the pick-up driver told his insurance that everything was the other way around, that my husband did not let him through and the accident was the fault of my husband. State Farm took its client's side without even looking at the police report! We have our own insurance, but now we will have to bear the deductible cost, although this accident is not our fault. Our insurance will sue State Farm. It was difficult to accept that in a civilized country, such barbaric behavior of the State Farm is quite acceptable.

Over the 2 years, they've denied payment for legitimate medical services for which I've had to pay out of pocket or use my health insurance company. I had ten years rental and five years auto insurance with SF when I called Brendon ** for a change of vehicles and he cancelled my old policy and issued a new policy and proof of insurance for my new car. The DMV refused to accept his proof insurance and I spent the next three hours with the Toyota owner, a DMV clerk, and her manager while Brandon’s office searched but never found him.
I bragged that Brendon would fix this before sunrise and the DMV felt sorry for me and my pitiful agent so they gave me my new plates. What would your insurance agent and their office do??? The next day I sent Brendon a nice text thanking his trainees for trying to find him and he ignored me for ten weeks (90 days) until our country closed and the DMV suspended my registration and tried to fine me $500. My husband and I took out State Farm Insurance in the 1970's, yes this is true. In all our years of driving cars we have had a few claims on windshields in which our comprehension covered and a couple of claims when rocks hit the hood of our vehicles on the freeway. My husband noticed in May 2021 that our bumper was damaged and we had two dents on our tailgate. I think the end of the month he put a claim in. He then took the car which was a 2019 Ford Escape to the Ford dealership that we have used in the past. The damage came in at $2300.
No one responded and so he called our agent's office and the lady at the front desk explained that they did not use that dealership anymore. She gave my husband instructions to go to the Toyota dealership and to put an app on his phone to send in pictures of the damage to the claims department. He went to Toyota and they came back with a $1600 bid to replace the bumper and to repair the two dents. He presented the bid to State Farm Claims department and sent in the details of our car. VIN, Mileage and all the pictures.
About a week later, the claims department contacted us. The lady began to say "we can take care of the bumper minus your deductible but, the two dents on the tailgate above the bumper were not consistent damage to go along with the bumper damage. We laughed because of these facts. Number one, we were 70 and stayed home 90% of the year because of the pandemic. Number two we only put on 4500 miles a year on our only car. We had our groceries delivered and everything else. We did go to Centerpoint Medical Center very often because I was have pre-treatment on my left knee and finally consented to major surgery, which was a total knee replacement on 6/22/2021. We had other appts this year also. Pretty much home bound.
I explained to her to look at a damage history and also the mileage we use each year. She was telling me there was two accidents to my car and I said absolutely in no way was there. She did not believe me and continued her case against our claim. I stated with our history of driving and the extreme low mileage would we not even go along with was she said, absolutely never. I asked her if someone from the claims department could examine our car and she said that was not necessary that she had our pictures and had done this for 27 years and stated her case again. What can you do when a nasty lady in a know it all mood addresses that your one claim is not meeting what consistencies of damage are met. My husband had a body shop when he was younger for over 20 years and he was in shock. Again, look at our stellar record and tell me that again.
She also claimed that the dents had rust. My husband at this time stopped her in her tracks and stated there was not one speck of rust on our car. She ignored him. We have a $500 deductible and maybe they are cutting paying on folks that have low deductibles. My agent in Grain Valley tried to call them and had no luck. My husband took our car to the Toyota dealership and explained to the body shop that we were in a dispute with State Farm and he wanted the car repaired/replaced no matter if he had to pay out of his pocket. I was home at this time from my Total Knee Replacement and needed to have a car to go to my follow-up appointment with my orthopedic surgeon and go to my PT therapy twice a week. When John, my husband decided to pick up our car, he was told after 9 days sitting there that the dealership was told to put a hold on the repairs which we never told them that.
We have claims, agent and dealership all working against us. What can we do at this point? I will never trust State Farm again and I have been very outspoken to my adult children to look for new coverage if they have State Farm. In the meantime, my homeowner's policy came due and they deducted $2000 out of my escrow account. I am shopping for new car insurance and reading all of the reviews. Thank you for letting me vent. This has been a joke, we just want our car fixed. We would trade it in right now but inventory is so low, we can't get the color or features we love. Dianna C.

My brand new Hybrid Toyota Camry XLE 2020 was hit by someone insured by the State Farm. The State Farm fixed the car and did a great job. I really appreciate the State Farm. Now the car has an accident report and its value is about USD 26,500 based on appraisals from CarMax and Toyota Dealership. In late June 2021 and early July 2021 the minimum market value for pre-owned Hybrid Toyota Camry XLE of Year 2020 with over 11,000 miles is/was over USD 30,500 due to shortage of car chips in the industry and low inventory in dealerships. Here is the link: **. With about or less than 8,000 miles the same car will be have a value of over USD 32,000.
Now even though my car is fixed it was damaged once, so I do not want to drive it and want to buy a similar car but without an accident report. To buy a pre-owned Hybrid Toyota Camry XLE of Year 2020, which was not in the accident, I will have to pay at least USD 32,000. The State Farm offers me USD 2,200 and refusing to offer a fair market value for me to buy a car of the same quality, which does not have an accident record.
It is not my fault that someone insured by the State Farm has hit my brand new car, the value of which is substantially diminished now. Now the State Farm agent responsible for this case is bringing all possible excuses not to offer a fair diminished market value for my car. In fact until I initiated a process to determine a diminished value of the car, the State Farm has not even mentioned anything about the process.
It looks like that the State Farm even did not want me to know about the process and thus did not want to cover my car's diminished value. This is absolutely unfair and dishonest way of treating customers on the State Farm's part. I never expected that the State Farm could go so cheap to risk its reputation and trust of the customers. Does anyone have any similar experience with the State Farm or any other insurance companies? I haven't had any collision claims so far so I can't speak about quickness or response time regarding that but I would think it would be rather seamless. I have both renter's insurance and my auto insurance with them and they seem to be fairly priced but I may have a look around for price comparisons if I get a chance. Their personnel are always friendly and helpful and that's something I really like. No automated answering systems at their office so I can deal with an actual human when I call to make a payment which I'm happy about.

State Farm has always taken excellent care of my family and me in the areas of car, home, and life insurance. The absolute best car insurance coverage I have ever had, and I have tried others in my 43 years of marriage, is by far State Farm. They have always covered repairs on our cars when we were in accidents without question and without raising our rates. There are discounts you automatically receive for increments of years of loyalty in staying with them. I can count on my local agent to answer my call immediately or within 2 hours, if after his hours. I have heard horror stories from colleagues at work about insurance companies that would not even cover their accident because, for example, there was not enough "proof" that it was a deer that hit the car. That does not happen with State Farm, as we experienced in the case of our daughter's late night deer accident. They covered us thoroughly anytime we had an accident.

I had this auto insurance 5 years ago when I was in my first (and hopefully last???)major auto accident. Although the accident wasn’t my fault, State Farm made me jump through hoops before even considering to allow me access to my PIP insurance for $2500. Once the PIP was exhausted on my initial ER visit, and I already gave my statement to State Farm, they seemingly wanted nothing more to do with me. Two months after this accident, my semiannual statement arrived...it was $150 more than what I’d been paying for the past 3 years! When I called to inquire I was told the rate increase was due to the accident despite the fact it was determined that I was not at fault! I called Geico, got a way cheaper rate for the same exact coverage, switched that day and never looked back! State Farm is one of the worst companies out there; avoid at all costs!

This is the worst insurance company EVER! I would never be a customer of State Farm. Their claims dept. works as a team of over 300 and a supervisor clearly told me they do not use pictures or a police report to make decisions on their investigations of an accident. So where is the "investigation", I ask? They take the word of their insured always to base their decision and then place partial blame on the person hit (20%)! Seriously? The poor insured doesn't even know their own insurance company isn't paying out their claim in full. So what happens? To court....I go!! What a joke company! Way too many commercials to pay for, I guess. Don't let that stupid Jake fool you!

State Farm is a horrible insurance company. My dads car was hit while he was stopped at a red light, and he went through his insurance company for repair of his vehicle, because the guilty persons insurance was not responding so he figured he would let state farm legal team deal with them. State farm insurance company has given my father SO MUCH PUSH BACK, and has made me want to cry for him, state farm REFUSED TO PAY FOR A SUPPLEMENT CLAIM SUBMITTED BY dad autoshop AUTOBODY SHOP, it was a tug of war getting them to pay for a supplemental claim, his car has been in the shop since Sept 22, 2020 waiting for state farm to decide what they are going to do.
He has had a rental since sept 22, 2020, state farm said they are only paying 1000 dollars per my fathers policy max for a rental, he went to return my the rental car yesterday 11/6/2020 and state farm said the amount that has accrued after that 1000 they paid is my fathers responsibility (1,211.91 is what my father owes, and my father has fullll coverage with your company). They were not willing to meet us in the middle, all the representatives and managers I spoke with told me us no one told my father return the car when he feels like it.
Today is 11/6/2020, state farm came back Monday to 11/2/2020 to state my fathers car is a total loss. The managers told me it's my father's fault for keeping the rental. I told them he cannot afford to pay that, the rental company will not let my father return the car without payments. I asked state farm to meet me in the middle with the payment they have refused. Like a good neighbor state farm is not there for its customers, my dad is left paying 1211.91 out of pocket for a decision state farm was on the fence about.
This is unjust and truly unfair and then for them to tell my father sorry there is nothing they can do for him, knowing I called state farm pretending to want a quote and ask them this question and they stated the claims department has the authority to extend to whom they want when it comes to negotiating the amount they will pay for a rental despite what is stated in the policy is ludicrous. This is my dads insurance company. I will make my dads voice heard about the tug of war with this company, when you entrust big corporations it shows they really do not care about you and just want your money.

If You Have State Farm Please Stay Away! When you have a claim, deal with this company is a nightmare they will do anything not to pay!!! I truly wish I could give them zero stars.
Part number (1). State Farm is the worst. Having been a loyal customer For a long years with several policies!!! I thought I was in good hands but this is a trash company to deal with! I made my first claim On February year 2020. I had a cracked windshield On the highway on my BMW. These companies don’t cover original parts And they don’t even cover good quality parts They cover the cheapest!!! Original windshield almost 1900. Good quality aftermarket almost 900. They cover not even 400. They cover the very cheapest one!!
Part number two (2). On October I had a claim on my wheels the originals wheels from BMW almost 900 each one without the tires. And remember State Farm don’t cover original parts. They did everything they could not to pay for it. not even the Aftermarket wheels! They told me that they were not going to pay because the car comes with 18 inch wheels. My car had 19 inch wheels. Those were the wheels they came with the car when I bought it and I told him that those wheels were in my car already when I purchased my policy and like I said this company is a nightmare to deal with. They only care about our money paying you policy every month????
Part number three (3). On the same month someone hit my rear bumper on shopping center parking lot. I was in the store. They didn’t leave a note. Nobody saw anything. I claimed that through my insurance. I Went to three different people and they told me that I needed to change my bumper because it was cracked. When I called the claim people they told me they cannot replace the bumper because the car had an accident before and the bumper wasn’t fixed properly And like I said before they will do anything not to pay For a cover that I was paying for???? They call the shop where I had my car fix and they told them they were only approving to fix the bumper that if you wanted to replace the bumper I needed to pay out of my pocket????
Please please stay away from this company. This company is a nightmare to deal with!! Worse insurance COMPANY EVER. RUN FROM STATE FARM. I will not be using, NOR will I recommend State Farm to anyone I know!

I was involved in a minor accident and filed a claim with State Farm (my insurance) as the driver at fault's insurance (USAA) refused to pay. State Farm was at first helpful but I should have known that would turn out to be a joke on me. The initial person to whom I gave a statement told me that State Farm found me “not at fault” of the accident. I then spoke with my personal agent, Emma **, who confirmed that my rates would not increase just because I filed a claim. However, they did say that the claim would be turned over to a third party “to try to get your deductible back” because I did have to pay the deductible for repairs out of pocket.
Several months later, my husband and I received a bill with a $55/month increase. I called my State Farm office and spoke with Courtney ** who told me (after several months of no communication or attempts to contact me) that the third party deemed me at fault and thus the rate increase. When I was initially told the claim would go to a third party, I was NOT told they could change the decision of who was at fault; I was told it was going to a third party simply to attempt to collect my deductible.
The State Farm office (Emma **) has been less than helpful and only redirected me to a 1-800 claims number, who then told me I could take the case to small claims court. Overall, I am really disappointed with their service (so much for being a good neighbor) and wouldn’t recommend them. The only reason I have not cancelled as of yet is because I now have points on my license thanks to them and am terrified of even more outlandish rates from other companies.

Do yourself and your family a huge favor, and DO NOT use State Farm for any type of insurance that you may need. Having State Farm coverage is similar to paying a monthly rate to really just be UNINSURED. Their slogan is a complete joke. They will fight with you for YEARS when you need help, and low ball the value of your life, pain and suffering, long term pain and suffering and medical treatment in any way possible. I have been a State Farm customer for over a decade, have a completely clean driving record and have never needed ANYTHING from them. My entire family has also used this company the entire length of time that they have been driving as well, and they have never needed help either… LUCKILY.
Apparently to their adjusters, breaking your neck, multiple bones in your pelvis, and severe nerve and disc damage throughout your spine, is not considered severe injuries, but they will gladly cover the cost of your HOSPITAL STAY. Why pay into an insurance plan with a company that literally does NOT care about you or your future? They will do any and everything to delay your claim; lose medical records, make insulting offers, ask for an extension on their response time frame – FOR YEARS, and still hit you with an insultingly low offer for your quality of life and medical care/needs, while you try and make it by on a daily basis.
If we are required by law to carry insurance to drive a vehicle, insurance companies should be required by law to help their customers when they need it. This company is a disgrace. If you have a policy with this company, start looking elsewhere before it is too late and you need them, because they won’t be there like a “good neighbor”.

July 18, 2020, this was my first time using State Farm roadside assistance, and I was extremely disappointed. My initial call was at 8:07 pm for assistance to change a flat tire and at 10 pm my family and I were still stranded on the side of the road. I found out the original "provider" canceled due to "not having any drivers in the area". I was never connected to a real person that I could talk to. We were stuck in a potentially unsafe part of our town. I gave up and called a wrecker to tow the car home, who came in 20 minutes. The next morning, I saw text and voice messages I had received from State Farm Road Assistance during the night. The case manager called at 1:35 am, over 5 hours after I had made my initial call, to make her first contact with me and provided a direct call back number.
Another "provider" had been assigned around 1:45 a.m. At 1:49 am I received an automatic text inviting me to fill out their survey while I was waiting for the 2nd provider and let them know what I thought of their service so far. Their final text ar 2:41 am said their system showed the provider had arrived, and asked if I was still waiting. My family have been State Farm customers for 3 generations, and State Farm has always provided excellent service. I was initially glad when I saw they offered roadside assistance, because I believed they were trustworthy. However, after this experience, I believe they have some major modifications to make in this program for it to have the quality I have been accustomed to from State Farm. I personally plan to look for another roadside assistance program elsewhere.

My cars and homes have been insured by State Farm for 60 years and have had very few occasions where I was not satisfied with their performance. And even these events were not signicant enough to warrant a change in insurance companies.

I have had this company for a little over a year and it has been the hardest process to file an insurance claim on my home due to wind and hail damage. They want me to do all the work... Isn't that what I pay them for? And the reps are RUDE!!! I will be so happy when this claim is complete because I will probably be looking for a new company. I see why their rates are some of the lowest... They don't do anything and try their best not to pay out a claim.

I was with State Farm for about 20 years, I switched for about 10 years because of the prices (too high) and then I went back because the customer service and the coverage is superb! The prices are about the same as every other insurance now but with better quality.

I really find the agency very helpful. They are very responsive to my questions and eager to please. Wish the safe driving app would show discount to be earned going forward instead of what has been applied.

We have 5 vehicles and had our house insurance with State Farm for decades with very few minor claims. Then we had a severe hail storm and State Farm covered all damage pretty well including one car, but then dropped our house insurance. We were stunned! We still have the vehicles insured with them but the cost sure seems to be going up and up.

Raising insurance rates during pandemic so you can give a discount that will be applied from July bill is as shady practice as you can think of. Thank you State Farm!!! I'm definitely going to leave this comment on any platform I can so people know what's happening out there.

We recently had to replace an auto that was a total loss. The process was plagued by many different claims - personnel who seemed very incompetent and careless. They used competently incorrect car comparisons. They also chose to NOT use the actual sale price of the vehicles when I discovered they had previously sold. They chose to use a value that was heavily discounted based on their "estimate" rather than the sale price of that actual car. State Farm is very intent on collecting your monthly premiums, but turn unethical when they have to settle a claim. I have been with State Farm for over 20 years without EVER filing a claim. I never knew how unethical State Farm is so now I'm taking my Home and four vehicles to another insurance company. Turns out most are rated much higher than State Farm.

Until you need to file a claim with State Farm, great prices, great coverage. Have me down with 5 violations/accidents. One was a tow using my Roadside Service. They considered getting stuck on a bush an accident when all I needed was a tow, and had Roadside Coverage. One was an accident, and they canceled me before I went to trial. Guilty until proven innocent? The accident became 4 separate violations instead of one. Now, I am having difficulty obtaining new coverage after 50 years of driving with no claims. Take back my recommendation to use State Farm Insurance Company.

When I initially signed up for StateFarm about 7 or 8 years ago my agent had a hard time with my husband's record. He has the same first name, last name, & DOB as someone who lived in our large city. This other person has a middle name, my husband does not. This other person has DUIs & a horrible record, my husband does not. It took verifying his DL number & SSN to see they were definitely NOT the same person. The issue was fixed fairly quickly & we were good for almost 8 years.
Fast forward to this month. My husband purchased in full a 17 year old truck for work & wanted to add it full coverage to our policy. The quote came back double what we pay for our brand new 2020 vehicle. We were both stunned. 200 for one vehicle alone. One paid off, old vehicle. I asked the agent why, she explained all the factors that could do it, credit, record etc. She mentioned it could be one of the past DUIs. I stopped her right there to explain my husband has never had a DUI. Never even been to jail. He's had a few speeding tickets & his most recent flaw was he ran a red light 5 years ago. She tells me, "Well maybe it had been resolved, maybe it was in the past..." implying that perhaps it could have been a ticket I was unaware of. I've been with my husband since he was 19. He started driving at 17. I'm sure I would know if he had a DUI!
I explain how this has happened before & it must be an issue on their side. I even asked if there was someone higher up I could speak with about this issue. She said they'd just send me back to my Statefarm office. She tells me the only thing I can do is provide a driving record for them to review. I had to purchase this. I had to take my time to get this & send it to them. After purchasing the record I emailed it over the same day. Sure enough, NO DUIs. NO ARRESTS. NOTHING. After hearing nothing for a few hours I called & she told me it could take 2 weeks to review & update for a better rate & EVEN then they couldn't guarantee it would change based on other factors that could affect it. Well that didn't make me or my husband confident with this company.
We shopped with their competitor & were able to resolve that issue the same day within a few minutes. They could clearly see they were not the same individual. I wasn't made to feel like my husband is a secret criminal. This system of just name and DOB is BROKEN. We have DL numbers and SSN for a REASON. I am just utterly disgusted with them as a company & am happy we switched. Be aware that they are pulling your record CORRECTLY!
