I was in an auto accident with another party who is insured by State Farm. I was in front of their insured and was turning right and they hit me as they were going too fast and could not stop when they seen me making a slow right turn (as my car would have scraped turning into this entrance) so he veered to the right and slid into the side of my car. State Farm denied the claim. How do you deny a claim when someone who was behind you hit you. I have a extreme issue with that scenario. The story their insured gave was not even possible. I have heard lots of complaints about State Farm paying claims. Now I have first hand experience and on a claim that was complete common sense. I think their adjusters need a extensive amount of training on what is possible and what is not. It's very frustrating and disturbing.

My incident occurred back in 11/21, I finally found a body shop, in May with a new fender, North Port Auto Body to complete my repairs, in which I paid for in total in the amount of $1,330.00. Also my bra for the front end and the damaged wheel plus shipping and tax. According to my Math I should be receiving a check for $1,367.71.. I received a check for $1,482.51, the Swansons repairs was $974.45, leaving $355,56. The total for N Port auto body is $1,330.01 less $355,56, leaving a total of $974.45, Plus 109.76 for the bra and $265,00 plus tax $18.50 for the wheel, not including shipping.

I am a claims adjuster for multi million dollar residential and commercial properties so I am familiar with the industry and this is what I have paid for my repairs as the auto industry is lacking quite a bit of parts. Nobody came and looked at my truck. I received am to receive check for $467 and change, add that to my left over amount from the first check of $355.56 for a total of $823 rounded off. $823 minus my front end bra $109.26 and my wheel, $327 is $386.74.

State Farm is telling me they replaced my fender, painted it, blended it with my door, a check for $467 and change, add that to my left over amount from the first check of $355.56 for a total of $823 rounded off. $823 minus my front end bra $109.26 and my wheel, $327 is $386.74. You replaced my fender, painted it, blended it with my door, and also replaced the fender shroud, emblems etc for $386.74! That's amazing. Stay away, rates may be decent, but their claims dept. is Absolutely horrible and unrealistic! Claim #** Timothy

Even with clear evidence they still deny claims to their own clients!! I have shown photographic proof of my vehicle damage that was done by another client who had State Farm Ins... and they still denied my claim to keep from paying... obviously, I cancelled my policy and have moved on to another company that takes care of their clients.

There were 3 cars involved in the accident... Car 2 hit my vehicle as I sat in traffic on the Highway causing significant damage... I am in Car 3...Car 1 was supposedly the originator at fault from hitting Car 2. The problem with that is... there is no damage between Car 1 and Car 2.. other than Car 1 bumper popped loose, so, while there was impact between Car 1 and Car 2... there was certainly no major damage to where it hit and knocked Car 2 into me (Car 3) and caused all of my damage to both my car rear end and Car 2 front end.. Car 2 has absolutely no damage to the rear end where Car 1 supposedly hit it.. That's because Car 2 hit me (Car 3) first... then, Car 1 might have mildly touched Car 2 after the 1st impact.

Uninsured joy rider totaled my car and First, had to fight for uninsured coverage even though it was. Then, State Farm gave me a replacement value that was wrong and lied about pre-existing damage. They gave me a valuation that didn't include the options my car had and claimed I had extensive pre-existing damage which was absolutely not true - even to the point where they said I had bare tires and I have proof they were new! Unfortunately, I wasn't able to take photos of all of the condition points of the car before it was sent to the shop so I had no way to contest the condition valuation. Cut the amount I received in half.

Horrible company. Would not recommend at all. All the reviews on here are people without problems. The real reviews come up when you have real problems. I had a totaled car and I can say without a doubt State Farm was anything but helpful. In fact, they showed me they could care less about what happened and did everything possible not to pay out the actual value of my car (including by lying about pre-existing condition).

Very disappointed! I can't even remember how long I have been with this company! I have my home, 3 autos, and a life policy with them. Needless to say, I pay almost $400 a month to State Farm. I had 1 " accident". Someone lost a large object off their vehicle at night on the interstate I saw it too late and ran over it and tore the underside of my car. This is been a real eye-opener into how State Farm feels about its clients.

At one point I was told I was not a priority although it took their adjuster 3 days to get out to look at my vehicle while the days for my rental car coverage ticked away. Never thought I was asking to be a priority I was only asking them to do their job. That's what I've been paying for all these years that they would be there when I needed it as my payments were always there on time I did my job! I have been loyal to this company but now I'm seeing what happens when you need them! I'm definitely looking into other options for insurance. I used to recommend them to people but I won't be doing that anymore.

Only reason am giving them 2 stars is for several years of reasonable service. Would have given them 4 stars apart from my last experience with them, which drove me to other carrier [Farmers]. That experience was horrible customer service over the span of maybe a year with no resolution. Good for them. They failed to honor their obligations, gave me a ton of lies instead, and held onto several thousand dollars [passing that burden to me, the insured].

My experience: a sketchy dealership damaged the engine block of my vehicle, requiring a bolt hole to need re-tapped at a larger size. State Farm told me they that although I have comprehensive coverage, they could not cover damage by a mechanic's shop unless it was on their preferred provider list. That was absurd and I challenged them on that. They subsequently changed their story that they had never said that...but they had.

Then, they would only say that I would have to pay for the tear-down and then their inspection would determine if it would or would not be covered. Any attempts to get them to pin down what would invalidate coverage, assuming facts were exactly as stated [I already have independent mechanic who has indicated the damage in writing and is willing to discuss his findings with them], was met with brickwalling of Sophist word games. No straight answer possible. After trying for months, I am merely absorbing the damage caused by the mechanic, and getting a new insurance carrier.

Total Cost: About $1000 to tear down to do the repair. I have not priced the repair. Guessing another $1000...? Additionally, there is the cost of the previous "temporary" repair that was part of the interim process while wrestling with State Farm: $1000. So, guessing in the ballpark of $3000 that they reneged on, acting like I don't have comprehensive insurance that covers damage done to the vehicle by a shop.

[Side Note: the sketchy shop--another issue altogether--*REFUSED* to give me their liability insurance info so that I could file a claim through it. State Farm could, however, subrogate this claim back through their liability...but that would make waves.]

Never again State Farm for me, nor can I recommend them to others. My opinions and beliefs, only.

Our van was hit by a pick-up truck when my husband was trying to turn left from the turn lane. The pick-up bumped into our van on the right while the husband was standing. That is, the unequivocal fault of the pick-up driver. Nobody was hurt, fortunately. Immediately after the accident, the pick-up driver said that he was at fault and his insurance company would cover everything. He showed his insurance, but refused to give his phone number. My husband called the police. The police office made a report. Later, we uploaded the report - the policeman found the driver of the pick-up at-fault.

Then the causer of the accident began to hide and did not answer the calls of his insurance (State Farm). When, finally, he answered, the pick-up driver told his insurance that everything was the other way around, that my husband did not let him through and the accident was the fault of my husband. State Farm took its client's side without even looking at the police report! We have our own insurance, but now we will have to bear the deductible cost, although this accident is not our fault. Our insurance will sue State Farm. It was difficult to accept that in a civilized country, such barbaric behavior of the State Farm is quite acceptable.

I launched a lawsuit because the settlement they offered didn't cover the first medical bill. Over the 2 years, they've denied payment for legitimate medical services for which I've had to pay out of pocket or use my health insurance company. With the amount of coverage the defendant has through State Farm I will never be compensated for my loss but still their lawyers are dragging me to their specialists who of course are in support of State Farm. I always felt protected because I paid higher premiums to have a reputable insurance company. But now, I caution that despite their claim "State Farm is There", they are NOT.

I was given the 1st number to call and then I was redirected. All this happened as I was supposed to help my family decorate Christmas tree and put up lights. Instead I did what I could wearing a headset waiting. Then they paid me instead of the body shop AFTER I confirmed they would deal with them.

Their so called App that makes everything easy basically pooped for 4 days straight. I had ten years rental and five years auto insurance with SF when I called Brendon ** for a change of vehicles and he cancelled my old policy and issued a new policy and proof of insurance for my new car. The DMV refused to accept his proof insurance and I spent the next three hours with the Toyota owner, a DMV clerk, and her manager while Brandon’s office searched but never found him.

I bragged that Brendon would fix this before sunrise and the DMV felt sorry for me and my pitiful agent so they gave me my new plates. What would your insurance agent and their office do??? The next day I sent Brendon a nice text thanking his trainees for trying to find him and he ignored me for ten weeks (90 days) until our country closed and the DMV suspended my registration and tried to fine me $500. State Farm Corporate didn’t lift a finger to help. Then to cover his nonsense, Brendon played his, poor me, I’m ** race card and SF fell for it. My husband and I took out State Farm Insurance in the 1970's, yes this is true. In all our years of driving cars we have had a few claims on windshields in which our comprehension covered and a couple of claims when rocks hit the hood of our vehicles on the freeway. My husband noticed in May 2021 that our bumper was damaged and we had two dents on our tailgate. I think the end of the month he put a claim in. He then took the car which was a 2019 Ford Escape to the Ford dealership that we have used in the past. The damage came in at $2300.

No one responded and so he called our agent's office and the lady at the front desk explained that they did not use that dealership anymore. She gave my husband instructions to go to the Toyota dealership and to put an app on his phone to send in pictures of the damage to the claims department. He went to Toyota and they came back with a $1600 bid to replace the bumper and to repair the two dents. He presented the bid to State Farm Claims department and sent in the details of our car. VIN, Mileage and all the pictures.

About a week later, the claims department contacted us. The lady began to say "we can take care of the bumper minus your deductible but, the two dents on the tailgate above the bumper were not consistent damage to go along with the bumper damage. We laughed because of these facts. Number one, we were 70 and stayed home 90% of the year because of the pandemic. Number two we only put on 4500 miles a year on our only car. We had our groceries delivered and everything else. We did go to Centerpoint Medical Center very often because I was have pre-treatment on my left knee and finally consented to major surgery, which was a total knee replacement on 6/22/2021. We had other appts this year also. Pretty much home bound.

I explained to her to look at a damage history and also the mileage we use each year. She was telling me there was two accidents to my car and I said absolutely in no way was there. She did not believe me and continued her case against our claim. I stated with our history of driving and the extreme low mileage would we not even go along with was she said, absolutely never. I asked her if someone from the claims department could examine our car and she said that was not necessary that she had our pictures and had done this for 27 years and stated her case again. What can you do when a nasty lady in a know it all mood addresses that your one claim is not meeting what consistencies of damage are met. My husband had a body shop when he was younger for over 20 years and he was in shock. Again, look at our stellar record and tell me that again.

She also claimed that the dents had rust. My husband at this time stopped her in her tracks and stated there was not one speck of rust on our car. She ignored him. We have a $500 deductible and maybe they are cutting paying on folks that have low deductibles. My agent in Grain Valley tried to call them and had no luck. My husband took our car to the Toyota dealership and explained to the body shop that we were in a dispute with State Farm and he wanted the car repaired/replaced no matter if he had to pay out of his pocket. I was home at this time from my Total Knee Replacement and needed to have a car to go to my follow-up appointment with my orthopedic surgeon and go to my PT therapy twice a week. When John, my husband decided to pick up our car, he was told after 9 days sitting there that the dealership was told to put a hold on the repairs which we never told them that.

We have claims, agent and dealership all working against us. What can we do at this point? I will never trust State Farm again and I have been very outspoken to my adult children to look for new coverage if they have State Farm. In the meantime, my homeowner's policy came due and they deducted $2000 out of my escrow account. I am shopping for new car insurance and reading all of the reviews. Thank you for letting me vent. This has been a joke, we just want our car fixed. We would trade it in right now but inventory is so low, we can't get the color or features we love. Dianna C.

Here is the link: **. With about or less than 8,000 miles the same car will be have a value of over USD 32,000.

Now even though my car is fixed it was damaged once, so I do not want to drive it and want to buy a similar car but without an accident report. To buy a pre-owned Hybrid Toyota Camry XLE of Year 2020, which was not in the accident, I will have to pay at least USD 32,000. The State Farm offers me USD 2,200 and refusing to offer a fair market value for me to buy a car of the same quality, which does not have an accident record.

It is not my fault that someone insured by the State Farm has hit my brand new car, the value of which is substantially diminished now. Now the State Farm agent responsible for this case is bringing all possible excuses not to offer a fair diminished market value for my car. In fact until I initiated a process to determine a diminished value of the car, the State Farm has not even mentioned anything about the process.

It looks like that the State Farm even did not want me to know about the process and thus did not want to cover my car's diminished value. This is absolutely unfair and dishonest way of treating customers on the State Farm's part. I never expected that the State Farm could go so cheap to risk its reputation and trust of the customers. Does anyone have any similar experience with the State Farm or any other insurance companies? What could be done differently so insurance companies remain committed to their liabilities and respect the ordinary working class in the US. Should I go to court? What would be your advice?

My dad convinced me to drop my wonderful insurance with USAA because they would cover me under their state farm insurance which they have had for decades. They told me State Farm had never let them down. A few days later I’m in a bad part of Atlanta at 3 AM and I get a flat. It took me almost an hour to get a hold of a customer service rep and set up assistance. On the policy there is roadside assistance. When I inquired about the Assistance she told me that it was not that kind of assistance. She then proceeded to extort $100 from me before she would offer me any aid. Did I mention that I was by myself, a woman, and a bad part of town?

She then told me after I handed over the money and she made me wait to confirm the money went through. She said it would be 45 minutes before roadside got to my car to change my flat out. 2 1/2 hours later I have not heard from anybody. I have not heard from State Farm. I have not heard from roadside assistance. I finally called roadside assistance and they said it would be at least another hour. I have never been treated like this by USAA. They never would’ve let me sit here for almost 4 hours with a flat tire by myself. And they certainly would not of extorted $100 out of me before they even offered any kind of aid. Guess what I’m doing in a few hours? I’m immediately calling USAA once again and reinstating my insurance. And I will tell everyone. I will sing it from the rooftops. I will write it back everywhere. Do not get State Farm. They don’t care about you, me, or anyone. They have the worst insurance in the industry, even worse than Progressive!

I added a classic truck to my policy and was quoted a decent rate under their antique/classic policies. When I received my bill it was billed as general transportation. I obtained insurance from a well known classic car insurance company and cancelled the State Farm policy. When the next bill arrived the classic truck and another vehicle that I owned and sold was was billed. I deducted the two vehicles that I didn’t need to remain covered and made my payment.

I had numerous conversations with my agent concerning this issue. Yesterday I received a cancellation notice in the mail, I have never been late or let my insurance lapse for any reason. When contacting the agent I was told State Farm was 15 to 30 days behind on billing. They are behind on updating billing and going to cancel a forty year customer. State farm insurance company has given my father SO MUCH PUSH BACK, and has made me want to cry for him, state farm REFUSED TO PAY FOR A SUPPLEMENT CLAIM SUBMITTED BY dad autoshop AUTOBODY SHOP, it was a tug of war getting them to pay for a supplemental claim, his car has been in the shop since Sept 22, 2020 waiting for state farm to decide what they are going to do.

He has had a rental since sept 22, 2020, state farm said they are only paying 1000 dollars per my fathers policy max for a rental, he went to return my the rental car yesterday 11/6/2020 and state farm said the amount that has accrued after that 1000 they paid is my fathers responsibility (1,211.91 is what my father owes, and my father has fullll coverage with your company). They were not willing to meet us in the middle, all the representatives and managers I spoke with told me us no one told my father return the car when he feels like it.

Today is 11/6/2020, state farm came back Monday to 11/2/2020 to state my fathers car is a total loss. The managers told me it's my father's fault for keeping the rental. I told them he cannot afford to pay that, the rental company will not let my father return the car without payments. I asked state farm to meet me in the middle with the payment they have refused. Like a good neighbor state farm is not there for its customers, my dad is left paying 1211.91 out of pocket for a decision state farm was on the fence about.

This is unjust and truly unfair and then for them to tell my father sorry there is nothing they can do for him, knowing I called state farm pretending to want a quote and ask them this question and they stated the claims department has the authority to extend to whom they want when it comes to negotiating the amount they will pay for a rental despite what is stated in the policy is ludicrous. This is my dads insurance company. I will make my dads voice heard about the tug of war with this company, when you entrust big corporations it shows they really do not care about you and just want your money.

They did everything they could not to pay for it. not even the Aftermarket wheels! They told me that they were not going to pay because the car comes with 18 inch wheels. My car had 19 inch wheels. Those were the wheels they came with the car when I bought it and I told him that those wheels were in my car already when I purchased my policy and like I said this company is a nightmare to deal with. They only care about our money paying you policy every month????

Part number three (3). On the same month someone hit my rear bumper on shopping center parking lot. I was in the store. They didn’t leave a note. Nobody saw anything. I claimed that through my insurance. I Went to three different people and they told me that I needed to change my bumper because it was cracked. When I called the claim people they told me they cannot replace the bumper because the car had an accident before and the bumper wasn’t fixed properly And like I said before they will do anything not to pay For a cover that I was paying for???? They call the shop where I had my car fix and they told them they were only approving to fix the bumper that if you wanted to replace the bumper I needed to pay out of my pocket????

The initial person to whom I gave a statement told me that State Farm found me “not at fault” of the accident. I then spoke with my personal agent, Emma **, who confirmed that my rates would not increase just because I filed a claim. However, they did say that the claim would be turned over to a third party “to try to get your deductible back” because I did have to pay the deductible for repairs out of pocket.

Several months later, my husband and I received a bill with a $55/month increase. I called my State Farm office and spoke with Courtney ** who told me (after several months of no communication or attempts to contact me) that the third party deemed me at fault and thus the rate increase. When I was initially told the claim would go to a third party, I was NOT told they could change the decision of who was at fault; I was told it was going to a third party simply to attempt to collect my deductible.

The State Farm office (Emma **) has been less than helpful and only redirected me to a 1-800 claims number, who then told me I could take the case to small claims court. Overall, I am really disappointed with their service (so much for being a good neighbor) and wouldn’t recommend them. The only reason I have not cancelled as of yet is because I now have points on my license thanks to them and am terrified of even more outlandish rates from other companies.

Having State Farm coverage is similar to paying a monthly rate to really just be UNINSURED. Their slogan is a complete joke. They will fight with you for YEARS when you need help, and low ball the value of your life, pain and suffering, long term pain and suffering and medical treatment in any way possible. I have been a State Farm customer for over a decade, have a completely clean driving record and have never needed ANYTHING from them. My entire family has also used this company the entire length of time that they have been driving as well, and they have never needed help either… LUCKILY.

Apparently to their adjusters, breaking your neck, multiple bones in your pelvis, and severe nerve and disc damage throughout your spine, is not considered severe injuries, but they will gladly cover the cost of your HOSPITAL STAY. Why pay into an insurance plan with a company that literally does NOT care about you or your future? They will do any and everything to delay your claim; lose medical records, make insulting offers, ask for an extension on their response time frame – FOR YEARS, and still hit you with an insultingly low offer for your quality of life and medical care/needs, while you try and make it by on a daily basis.

If we are required by law to carry insurance to drive a vehicle, insurance companies should be required by law to help their customers when they need it. This company is a disgrace. If you have a policy with this company, start looking elsewhere before it is too late and you need them, because they won’t be there like a “good neighbor”.

I didn't know he used Adobe and repeating I ask for my insurance car and copy of the policy by mail. Never received it. The few most later I had an accident and Rick Verst showed his true colors. I had to push my claim through. I didn't receive that service from State Farm and Rick Verst was to provide. Never do business with State Farm by computer; just simply go to an agent near you and you will receive excellent care.

The entire process to deal with State Farm has been a disaster. First, State farm failed to inform me about the policy changes fee. I only found out three months later when I got a chance to check out by myself. Second, they only care about money but do nothing helpful on their customers. I am with State farm more than 3 years, when I changed another car within the last 0.5 year, the agent gave me a *** experiences while his job is supposed to help me, one of the most Loyal customers, to go through the pandemic.

They failed to explained to me how much they charged me per month, why they jack out the price ($150/ month with an year 2000 car), especially the most recent car accident is nothing to do with myself as a driver. I called/ emailed for more than five times for the past three months but they can never give me an accurate response even once. I actually hope someone can see all the negative reviews on this website and avoid this company for their best interest. Again, State farm has a big name but they only care about money. My initial call was at 8:07 pm for assistance to change a flat tire and at 10 pm my family and I were still stranded on the side of the road. I found out the original "provider" canceled due to "not having any drivers in the area". I was never connected to a real person that I could talk to. We were stuck in a potentially unsafe part of our town. I gave up and called a wrecker to tow the car home, who came in 20 minutes. The next morning, I saw text and voice messages I had received from State Farm Road Assistance during the night. The case manager called at 1:35 am, over 5 hours after I had made my initial call, to make her first contact with me and provided a direct call back number.

Another "provider" had been assigned around 1:45 a.m. At 1:49 am I received an automatic text inviting me to fill out their survey while I was waiting for the 2nd provider and let them know what I thought of their service so far. Their final text ar 2:41 am said their system showed the provider had arrived, and asked if I was still waiting. My family have been State Farm customers for 3 generations, and State Farm has always provided excellent service. I was initially glad when I saw they offered roadside assistance, because I believed they were trustworthy. When I initially signed up for StateFarm about 7 or 8 years ago my agent had a hard time with my husband's record. He has the same first name, last name, & DOB as someone who lived in our large city. This other person has a middle name, my husband does not. This other person has DUIs & a horrible record, my husband does not. It took verifying his DL number & SSN to see they were definitely NOT the same person. The issue was fixed fairly quickly & we were good for almost 8 years.

Fast forward to this month. My husband purchased in full a 17 year old truck for work & wanted to add it full coverage to our policy. The quote came back double what we pay for our brand new 2020 vehicle. We were both stunned. 200 for one vehicle alone. One paid off, old vehicle. I asked the agent why, she explained all the factors that could do it, credit, record etc. She mentioned it could be one of the past DUIs. I stopped her right there to explain my husband has never had a DUI. Never even been to jail. He's had a few speeding tickets & his most recent flaw was he ran a red light 5 years ago. She tells me, "Well maybe it had been resolved, maybe it was in the past..." implying that perhaps it could have been a ticket I was unaware of. I've been with my husband since he was 19. He started driving at 17. I'm sure I would know if he had a DUI!

I explain how this has happened before & it must be an issue on their side. I even asked if there was someone higher up I could speak with about this issue. She said they'd just send me back to my Statefarm office. She tells me the only thing I can do is provide a driving record for them to review. I had to purchase this. I had to take my time to get this & send it to them. After purchasing the record I emailed it over the same day. Sure enough, NO DUIs. NO ARRESTS. NOTHING. After hearing nothing for a few hours I called & she told me it could take 2 weeks to review & update for a better rate & EVEN then they couldn't guarantee it would change based on other factors that could affect it. Well that didn't make me or my husband confident with this company.

We shopped with their competitor & were able to resolve that issue the same day within a few minutes. They could clearly see they were not the same individual. I wasn't made to feel like my husband is a secret criminal. This system of just name and DOB is BROKEN. We have DL numbers and SSN for a REASON. I am just utterly disgusted with them as a company & am happy we switched. Be aware that they are pulling your record CORRECTLY!

We have had SF insurance for both home and auto, for many years. I am so frustrated with them! They seem to constantly drop the ball, or perhaps purposely let things drop (I think the latter possibility is the true one). An agency that they contracted with to do risk assessment lied to us. I have many stories, but SF’s latest fail is just a blatant denial of our rights. We requested, at the beginning of the pandemic lockdown, to change a high-mileage commute car to an occasional-use car. This would have saved us a good chunk of money, as we have not been driving the car at all for more than a month, and won’t be driving it for another month. SF said they would have to refer the request to another department, and no one followed up on the request. It’s been a month now. Terrible company.

State Farm insurance claims department did a crappy investigation. Which I believe they did not do any type of investigation. It’s all hearsay. I have been with State Farm for 20 years and never been in a accident while with them. It makes no since why insurance goes up 50 dollars more. I'm very displeased with State Farm claims on how they conduct their investigation. I believe all auto insurance companies are like this. Something has to be done in all this. But since I live in California it won’t happen.

They are canceling me. I asked why he said the two claims. I said the 2 in 25 years other than glass breaks. He said they were only looking for spotless drivers anymore. I have never been late with payments. Have an umbrella policy and home owners. They want to keep those two. I explained that’s not an option. Why would I be loyal to them when they are not to me. To top it off the COVID-19 has caused me not to be able to find another carrier. I asked for an extension and was told no. State Farm is not what they used to be. I was lied to last year during a storm and my agent even said I should pressure it with the state but I didn’t want to get anyone else in trouble. This was on my home. I cancelled an auto policy in February and only last week received the reimbursement check for the prorated amount I was owed after the agent and or corporate offices completely bungled several aspects of my policies. The total incompetence of the agent I had and the way the corporate office did nothing nor customer service calls to get the policy cancelled has scared me away from State Farm for life and if reading this review is to be worth anything to you, it'll scare you away too.

To date the last mailings I received actually say the policy has been reinstated, again another sign of their utter incompetence, though I've also received the reimbursement check. No mailings saying anything was cancelled etc. and this is just a small slice of the various bungled situations. I am so glad I never had to deal with them filing a claim when I'd have really needed their support. Based on the other reviews I've seen, my cancelling all my policies with them was a very wise decision and I only made that decision after several other mishaps with their life insurance division who demonstrated poor service repeatedly. Insurance may be necessary but consumers should hold insurers to a high standard and expect to be treated fairly and with professionalism.

I just want to start off by saying I don't like to complain at all. I am normally a very patient and forgiving person but at this point I feel so walked on I need to tell others they may be about to buy coverage from State Farm. Most of the people I have spoken to have but super apologetic and as helpful as they can be, but this process as a whole and one EXTREMELY rude "specialist" has made this too much to handle. Mind you I am 7 months pregnant so dealing with all of this is definitely not good for my baby, but I am a strong mom!!

Anyway, My father-in-law was driving my car from a dr's appointment and I did not want to drive him because of being pregnant and Covid still being an issue. (Thank God I didn't drive him) State farm's customer practically T-boned him as he was making a left turn. The police report stated she was not even on the road yet when he started making the turn and that she sped up aggressively in a parking lot smashed into him causing the fire department to have to cut him out of the car. There were witnesses and a VIDEO that stated she was speeding and never applied her breaks. Not only did she smash into my father-in-law she continued to smash into TWO other cars!!! The police report obviously states it's her fault.

It has been almost a month since this happened. State Farm has not contacted me one time to let me know what is going. I have had to call them every single time to get answers. At first we were waiting on the police report so they asked my father-in-law (which doesn't speak English very well) to make a statement. He told me what happened and I wrote it down for him. This was all in the first week. I waited and waited for a call.. a little over a week. Nothing. So I called. The first lady was about to set me up with a rental car and someone to look at the damages; She was calm and super nice. When I got transferred to report my wage loss because I no longer have a car to get to work I spoke to this AWFUL person of a "specialist" who then told me State farm is not liable for any damages and it is not their responsibility to do anything all because my father-in-law was making a left turn, so the lady that hit him had the right away.

When I explained that the police report stated it was her fault for purposely speeding up to hit him she basically told me she doesn't give a crap about the police report and called me a liar. Saying no one would have set me up with a rental or to get my car fixed. I was in SHOCK that she was being so rude. I told her that I guess the only option now is to get a lawyer and she told me to do it like she didn't believe I would and hung up the phone on me. I was completely calm and respectful the ENTIRE time I was talking to her. I did call back just to see if what she said was true and a SUPER nice lady answered, apologized and explained the situation and said I should get my insurance involved. So I did. AND I bought the police report online myself and sent it directly to state farm. That way I have a copy in case I need to get a lawyer involved and clearly because it was impossible for them to get it themselves.. Or they just didn't care.

This was well over a week ago that I sent them the police report and asked them to contact me immediately. Still nothing.. I just want to give everyone a little background. If i was driving, the way the car was hit, I could have very possibly lost my child. This makes me super angry to think about and the fact my father-in-law has been in so much pain because of this. This car, my dad bought for me. He passed away in March. This is the last thing I have that he gave me. So not only on top of all of this stress I have been experiencing through outside problems, State Farm has still not contacted me.

My car is still sitting in the tow yard because I have nowhere to take it. I do not have a car to go to work.. I do not have a car to go to my OB appointments and GOD FORBID I go into labor. I feel like I have gotten nowhere at this point and for State Farm to be all about protecting people they aren't doing anything and they don't seem to care. So seriously, just think about this the next time you want to buy car insurance because I can't even imagine how they are treating the lady that hit everyone. I feel broken because of all of this.

A woman named Paula took our call; apparently she is one of the several team members of Tammy ** who assigned our claim.

After asking her why an insurance company would make a decision to deny a claim in less than a business day before even reviewing any of proof, Paula was rude and frank with her response "That's just the way State Farm does things. Others may not agree but it's how we operate." Paula then told us that we were welcome to submit any other proof we'd like and IF they decided it was proof enough that they would notify us of any change, but otherwise the claim would remain under the status of DENIED. This is a hideous display of customer service and an unethical way to treat others in the decision making process to determine who is at fault in an accident.

Later on (after a month), they emailed me that they have to double my rate and they told me all kinds of lies why they had to do it. This is a psychological trick, get someone to invest in you (their time, money, thoughts), and they are more likely not to walk away. I think two stars is fair for State Farm. But the theft in the form of overcharging in billing with no explanation and other illegal ways, extra fees that no one will explain but demand you pay or the being asked to lie about a certain situation, being asked not to tell that certain things were said or done, the constant harassment, the "No" customer service with "employees" who should remember they are just "employees" whose services are not needed without customers. These ungrateful employees should remain in their "employee" place and remember I pay their salaries, along with other loyal customers.

Unfortunately, the law mandates drivers maintain at least minimum coverage to operate a motor vehicle on roadways, and since I have heard horror stories about other companies, though not nearly as horrible as my story, I am here. We are forced to have insurance to drive legally, and this is the only company I know and have been with since I could drive. This is all the more reason why their fraudulent and other behavior and underhanded illegal tactics are unacceptable. What's more, I was assaulted by someone driving the State Farm DOTD vehicle today. I am resolved what to do. Comment with suggestions if you like. And it’s very, very disappointing, My car was in the shop for a solid month because State Farm couldn’t get its act together to approve the shop’s estimates. I had to rent a car during this process and rented from Hertz on the recommendation of State Farm. I was assured the entire time that the allowance for car rentals was generous, more than enough to cover the time in the shop. What I wasn’t told was that State Farm would drag its feet at every opportunity, ultimately taking so long that I went about a week over my rental allowance.

I paid for the overage without question but when I contacted customer service to see if I could get reimbursed, rather than working with me on it, rather than apologizing or even making a case for why they couldn’t do it, they were patronizing, demeaning, and disrespectful. All these years of good will and customer loyalty were destroyed in a few minutes by a single customer service rep. In the end, they wouldn’t budge, and now I’m out the additional cost that they themselves incurred by short staffing their adjustment department. I have never had to file a claim with them until recently, when I was rear ended by an uninsured driver, and my newly financed car was severely damaged. This was a time when I needed my insurance company (whom I had never needed up to this point) to step up and have my back. I am sad to report that none of them did so. I have gone all the way up to the CEO of State Farm with zero sense of customer service. My hope was that they would work with me to find a solution, but I received no help, much lack any sense of loyalty to a loyal customer.

The mess that I am now in will leave me in substantial financial trouble for the foreseeable future. I urge you as a potential consumer to find a different insurance provider. God forbid you find yourself in a time where your only hope is your insurance company, you want to be able to depend on them. This company will not so much as lend a helping hand in finding a solution. I worked with a lady named Allie in the claims department of their Bloomington, Illinois office. She was rude, condescending, and had zero customer service. My hope in writing this review is that you, as a potential customer, will never have to place your hopes in someone like Allie, who has no interest in providing help.

Prior to my talk with Allie, State Farm provided me with a declarations page stating that my newly acquired vehicle was insured at the time of the accident. Allie informed me that they would be retroactively changing the time on this document to indicate that my vehicle was not insured and they weren't obligated to provide coverage for me. While this does not sound legal to me, they ended the conversation saying that there was nothing further they could help me with. My hope is that you do not ever find yourself in a situation similar to mine. I urge you to find a different insurance provider who will be there for you in your time of need. My situation is proof that State Farm will not provide that for you.

Ok so we have been with this insurance company for over a year and have had one issue after another with them since day one. 1. When we first had the insurance added to my mother's policy it seemed like everything went well until they tried to tell us we didnt pay the add on fee which we did and had a bank statement to show we did but they swore we didnt. So according to them because we refused to pay the add on fee twice we have somehow been "behind for almost a month" since we got the insurance or so they keep saying. So we finally just paid in full what they claim we owed them at the time since it was like 60 damn dollars they kept saying we was behind.

After that we made our payment on time every month but somehow about 3 months ago they claimed we was once again behind and we have argued with them every month trying to figure out how exactly they kept saying we was behind but nobody ever seemed to have an answer. Ok so fast forward to about a month and half ago we decided to get a new suv and we called to have our regular insurance switched over to our new Durango but had to switch to full coverage. The lady we spoke to told us all we had to do was pay our monthly payment and that she would switch it over. Ok simple enough. But maybe two weeks later we was being told that we once again owed more than we were told we had to pay for the full coverage so we spoke to several different people trying to figure this out and it was said that we was supposed to pay more than our monthly bill to have the insurance switched over.

Wouldnt have been an issue had she told us this when we switched the insurance over in the first place. So once again somehow we owe more than what we was told we would be paying and all because now we're apparently behind again because we only paid what the lady told us we had to pay...and as if all that isnt bad enough dealing with this company we get a letter in the mail ( remember we have full coverage now ) stating that in a few months our emergency roadside assistance will be discontinued due to "The frequency of our roadside emergency claims" on these dates.

    11-2-2019
    4-27-2019
    2-12-2019
    2-6-2019
    1-25-2019
    12-18-2017

    8-7-2017

The main issue with this and these dates is that we DID NOT even have insurance with them in 2017 at all and we did not have the truck that we had insured through them in 2017...and more importantly the insurance was in my daughter's name and she didnt even have her license in 2017...so my thing is and my issue is this.

    1. We pay for roadside assistance in order to have it in the event our vehicle breaks down and we was never once told we could only allow our truck to break down so many times and if it broke down more than they cared for it to then that means they can just discontinue our service.

    2. We now have full coverage insurance meaning we pay a bit more for one and we would expect that with full coverage insurance that roadside would definitely be a part of that. I've never had full coverage insurance with any company and not had roadside assistance.

So needless to say I believe we have been more than patient with this corrupt ** company and been ripped off enough and we will be finding another insurance company and they can take their overpricing overcharging no roadside assistance with full coverage and get lost...I would never recommend anyone to this company and will never use them again.

I wanted to know how a claim would be made in case I decided to do so, and who the preferred body repair shops are and how they work. The claims agent said that she would send me a list of their vendors and explained the process.

The next thing I knew there had been a claim filed, which was definitely not what I requested. Subsequently, that same day, January 22, I received eight emails and six phone messages from State Farm. I was being harassed. I had only requested one email, and that was the list of preferred auto body vendors. I called my agent on January 23 and told his assistant that I did not file a claim. The following day, Friday, the harassment continued. I received a text in the middle of my workday and five more emails. I called my agent and he was in the office but he was “busy”. I asked for a return call and it is now six days later and I still haven’t received a call. I did go to Gold Coast auto body and the damage was so minimal that they didn’t charge anything to buff it out. I have been a loyal customer for 17 years. In September of 2019 I am struck by a young lady at 70mph without hitting her brakes while I was stopped to turn left. The accident was not my fault. I had injuries and my PIP was ate up with hospital bills. Since Florida is a “no fault” state with PIP you are forced to file for injuries first under your own insurance and then the remaining over 10,000 rolls onto the other parties insurance. I am over 50 never an accident and 2 tickets in my twenties for speeding.

Over the 17 years with State Farm I estimated that my wife and I had paid them over $23,000.00 without a claim once ten years ago for a windshield. My bill was always $130 a month and higher depending on the newness of the vehicle. Get this, a new bill came for $275 for a month and I was told that the new rate is because of the accident. The accident I was not at fault for. The accident that law enforcement charges the other driver with. That they have to compensate for the $10k they paid out. Funny so over 17 years paying $23,000 to them. They have to compensate. Went to Geico and got insurance for $149.00 a month. DO NOT TRUST STATE FARM!!!

We were one of two vehicles hit by a drunk driver, while parked on the side of the road. Both of the vehicles were totaled. Our insurance company got through the process in 2 weeks, while State Farm took 4 months to process the other totaled vehicle. So we also had to wait the 4 months before the claim was paid out. Glad we have Bear River and not State Farm insurance. They are a large bureaucracy where no one person is in charge of handling a claim, it just goes from department to department which is super inefficient.

This is a very poor company and tries to take advantage of senior citizens with their strongarm tactics. Never do business with this company, now I must bring a lawsuit against their client to recover for damages that are not being paid by State Farm. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH STATE FARM. State Farm sucks, especially when you tried to file a claim against them. The accident happened on November 2019, when I turned left to College Point Blvd when it is green light. State Farm's customer pulled out his car from the parking space on college point blvd and hitted my car on the right hand side doors. State Farm customer also hitted the car that was parking in front of him. I had been calling state farm so many time in the first 2 weeks, the answer they gave to me is they couldn't reach the insurer and they will sent out a final notice to the insurer, if the insurer didn't response back by Dec 31,2019, they will close the claim and get an estimate to fix my car.

I called state farm back on January 2, 2020, they told me they denied the claim because of my unsafe left turn. I was like wtf, what does unsafe left turn mean? Did I run red light, or did I make improper left turn when there is ongoing car? It is one way, green light, all cars are either turning left or right into College Point Blvd. The car who was pulling out from the parking space should have aware of oncoming cars. The adjuster couldn't answer me, she said she will have to contact insurer for more info. This is all **. I will hire an attorney to fight for it no matter how much I will have to pay to that attorney. This is so ridiculous. Never ever use state farm.

After being with Allstate for 20 years, I decided once they had a rate increase again to shop around. I spoke with Toni in the office who gave me a rate 100 less a month than I was paying with Allstate. YAY! WRONG! After discovering a mistake on my MVR, I provided an official driving record per their request the very next day. Heard nothing about it again until my loan company sent me a notice 4 weeks later, saying my insurance was going to cancel on December 30. I called the Joan Landry office and spoke with Jana who claimed she emailed, called and texted to let me know of the issue. None of which happened. The only emails, text or calls I received were about an uninsured motorist letter I needed to return signed. From someone else in the office. After explaining that I sent in the official driving record, she wasn't even aware that I had already sent the Driving record. She would then send it off to underwriting and be in touch.

A week later...on the day my policy is set to cancel, Jana calls to tell me that they wont accept the official driving record. That I need to go to the DMV but couldn't tell me what documentation they needed. The DMV explained how to read the driving record and gave me a clearance letter for a ticket that was paid. However, the issue on the MVR states that my driver's license had been suspended suspended. The driving record clearly shows my driver's license was never suspended. The DMV can not provide me with a clearance letter for something that never happened. They wanted to switch me to a different policy that cost 200.00 more a month than what I was originally quoted 2 months before. Be aware that these issues happen. My case is not unique.

What is unfortunate is that the office at the State Farm agent in Denham Springs, La asked a customer to provide a driving record and didn't know how to read it. Asked the customer to go back to the DMV on a work day... on a wild goose chase. No explanation on what to get from them. My biggest regret was believing that state farm was a reputable company that works for their customers. In my case, a clear mistake is in the reporting system. It's obvious. A dropped ball at the agent's office left me scrambling to find insurance before my policy canceled at Midnight. I'd like to also point out that not once was I apologized to. Treating people like this is wrong. It is my honest opinion that the Agent's office is at fault for this entire mix up. How it was handled was completely unprofessional.

When I got my new 6 months renewal premium my rate went from 650.00 for 6 months to 1315.00 for 6 months....1 ticket folks....ONE. Went to a different company next day and my premium was 552.00 for 6 months and has stayed that way for 2+ years. Yes the new company knew about the ticket I received. When I cancelled I was harassed by State Farm office in Jacksonville NC for several weeks. They "refused" to cancel my policy so I was told and threatened that I am not allowed to cancel...lol....Anyways maybe I had a bad experience, who knows but if they do this to a customer of 30 years imagine what they will do to someone new.

Sadly I had a little fender bender insured with State Farm and the experience getting it fixed to Range Rover standard has been stressful and I’m left with a bill of over $4000! My recommendation is do your research and insure with an insurance company who will replace parts for OEM not second hand (I have paperwork to prove it) or aftermarket parts. To retain the value and warranties on the car you really need your insurance company to work with a Registered Range Rover Dealer so I would recommend before rushing to insure call these dealers (easily located on Land Rover website) and ask their opinion who do they have the least issues with? Trust me it’s worth the time at the beginning or you will pay at the end! Any European or high value car I would highly recommend you take these steps or you will pay in the end!

I was rear ended and also hit from the passenger side. State Farm has been completely disrespectful. It took over 2 months for me to speak with Kevin about property damages to get the runaround and nothing resolved. I finally chatted online and got things as a tow car and rental and chose state farm's selective services Gerber Collision in Greenville NC to not get one call about damages done to the vehicle and to find out they don't do mechanical or electrical work. And day of picking vehicle up female purposely slammed on brakes knowing that that was the issue. Vehicle was towed and still not fixed.

I'm very unsatisfied how state farm has handled this being I'm not the at fault driver. Gerber collision lost the original key and never once made anyone aware of that replaced glass in car that had nothing to do with collision. The day I picked vehicle up once again that was on Dec 10th that's when I first saw adjuster taking pictures after several months and yet still nothing is resolved. I had a vehicle inspection at Mr. Tire 10/3/19 and made gentleman aware that car was rear ended and hit from passenger side. The day of the inspection he told me brakes and tires were wore down due to collision. Brakes started scrubbing Oct 29th 2019 but wasn't much I could do with state farm constantly given me the runaround.

Me and my daughter are still under Doctor's care and now are required to wear glasses due to severe bk injuries and myself I have to wear bifocals. I feel as if my injuries haven't gotten any better because of all the stress, disrespect from state farm. The vehicle has had 3 estimates and yet still vehicle is UNDRIVABLE. How is it my responsibility when brakes, electrical issues were working properly until collision took place? So why should I be responsible to fix something that the at fault driver caused? Police report clearly stated 3,000 dollars in damages done to vehicle. I feel as if state farm paid Gerber collision over a thousand dollars for nothing because bumper is fixed but smudges from collision are still present on brake lights and none of this was going on before Sept 1st.

I have had State Farm insurance for over 10 years but recently having to work them has been an absolutely terrible experience. My 2017 Subaru Impreza had electric damage due to a rodent chewing on the wires. The dealership recommended to replace the entire wire harness (standard practice according to my best friend who works in a car garage and also according to many sources online). State Farm Adjuster only wanted to solder the damaged wires to save about $400. I appealed the decision and was told to get a letter from Subaru. I did this and State Farm still refused to pay a few hundred more to repair the car to Manufacturer Recommendations.

I have had to deal with rude representatives (I asked to talk to one agent's manager and he said that "he did not have a manager" and never documented our full conversation to cover himself), constant delays (State Farm representatives would continuously not call me back when they said they would). I eventually escalated this to a "Team Manager" in Pittsburgh (Denise Chandler) and she left early and gave the case to someone else. The representative (Employee ID: FEI9) blamed me for the delays as I appealed the decision and would not compromise in any way. I have now spent more money they would have saved on rental cars due to the delays. My car has not been repaired in over 2 weeks (my fault according to State Farm). I am now paying for the repairs myself to end this nightmare.

    In summary:

    - State Farm has TERRIBLE representatives in the auto claim department (good luck if you need electrical damage repaired).
    - State Farm does not have your interests at heart and would like to save a few hundred even when it makes no sense.
    - State Farm will not take any ownership of their faults and blame you (that's a poor corporate culture-issue).

    - Local agents may try to help you but have no real power over any claims and just sell a product.

I have never had such a poor experience. I am writing this review as a warning because I wouldn't want anyone else to go through what I did.

I made the mistake of thinking it would be a non issue to make a claim. 6 weeks later, State Farm refuses to pay for the repair. They hide behind their two apps and “policy” by which no one is responsible. It is no one’s responsibility to follow up with the customer. They send out an adjuster who takes a few cell phone photos and sends you a check for a fraction of what a repair of the vehicle will actually cost. This is State Farm in 2019. It's good if you have a Yugo but please don’t bother expecting any customer service or accountability. Do not expect State Farm to fix a moderately expensive car. He hired a STATE FARM insurance to put everything under security. My house, my cars, my life insurance, my business and Dayton suffered a natural disaster of 20 tornadoes in the area. Near my business 2, only one less than 1/4 mile from the business. Burrito King has contracts with companies that in 2014 put new lights on the roof to illuminate the parking lot, new roof, aluminum roof tiles to make it look more nice. The front windows are not new, but they are in good condition, with their care so that the light enters, the heat of the heater does not come out, so that the air conditioning is efficient and, even so, I do not accept to respond to my claim of Loss due to damage caused by natural disasters (20 tornadoes). Remained and said no, and I had to seek legal help to prove that I have damages. Accused me that the business was old, that it had no maintenance.

Sent to a engineer to check that the tornado had not compromised in its foundation. The engineer at the first time He presented his report said that the glass frame that is made of wood was maintenance-free and was old. To which I had to contact the insurer and tell him, "Hey what kind of report it is, I don't have any wooden frame," and they sent it FOR 2 times and then I got even more angry because the Architect who works with burrito king said and gave proof of I was wrong. Well, now it only covers a glass and not 3 like the first time, so I can't trust State Farm if something happens with my car. Well, that's another one with my cars happened and I also need a lawyer.

Now if my husband or I die, I leave a big problem and not a help like the one I thought I paid monthly. Why do I pay for something that doesn't work? Like my business. Like my cars. Like my life / if they say it doesn't work. It does not work. AND I NEED AN INSURANCE THAT ALLOWS ME TO SLEEP WITH CONFIDENCE THAT WHAT HAPPENS, MY HERITAGE IS PROTECTED.

Recently one of their insurers hit my car on the freeway. He was driving drunk and they said it was our fault and refuse to pay for my repairs. One of the agents told us they were going to pay and then refused after with a letter. Then another adjuster said it was their insurer's fault. I wonder how many other people they screwed. State Farm is a fraud.

I was in a motor vehicle accident in which I was rear ended and found not to be at fault in the least. Therefore, I needed to submit my medical bills to the car insurance of the person who hit me in order to be reimbursed. Being rear ended, having your car totaled, and suffering in pain caused by this accident was enough to deal with. Little did I know that dealing with State Farm would be the even bigger headache. My accident occurred in March of 2019. It is now September, and I have yet to receive assistance from State Farm. I was told the name of my Claims Specialist but have not been able to reach her. I'm not convinced she is a real person! Haha I have submitted my medical bills through email five times per bill, faxed them five times each, and have now sent them in the mail. Each time I sent the bills I called to confirm they were received.

I would speak with one Claims Specialist (not the one assigned to my case) who would say it was received. I would call at a later date to hear that the next person I spoke with did not see the bills in my account. I'm convinced that State Farm does not want to receive my bills and is discarding them in order to avoid having to pay them. I even sent a request for my medical information to be released to them and had myself doctor's office send them my bills. Yet still State Farm claims that they have not received any of my bills! Dealing with State Farm has truly been a headache when care and helpfulness are needed in this difficult time. I would not recommend State Farm to anyone. Of note, I work in the medical field and have vast amounts of knowledge of how the system works. I could not imagine how much more difficult this process would be if I didn't have this knowledge ahead of time.

My first experience with State Farm was horrible. My vehicle was recently stolen and now I'm being treated like it's my fault. The claim investigator was so rude yelling on the phone threatening my claim to be thrown out if I didn't talk to him and meet up with him. My policy is new and because the vehicle was a BMW they not believing it was stolen!!!! They asked for my call/text records service records and doing a credit check. I cant even believe I'm being treated like this. The situation is stressful enough and I'm paying my hard earned money to horrible service. State Farm only wants to take our money and when it's time for them to show up you get treated like you not a paying customer!!! I will be changing my policy soon this nightmare is over. My anxiety is through the roof.

After 35+ years of coverage with State Farm for both home and auto I had to file my first claim after being rear-ended. Total loss of my beautiful collectible car. The other driver's insurance will ultimately cover costs, but I needed a rental car asap and thought that my insurance company would be looking out for me. Thought wrong. Rare car, hard to find comps. Rather than take the 4 comps I found online for sale at dealers for consideration (too far - did I say rare?) they found one closer by (131 mi.) in another state. CRAIGSLIST. $2,000 below legitimate listings on internet auto sites. I provided 4 comps at the higher price scattered across the country. 4. They didn't give any credence to these whatsoever. If you are considering State Farm for insurance - keep in mind that the rates are not the whole story. Oh, and if you have a question or challenge what they are presenting - prepare to be deflected. I believe this is the only training class they require their claims representatives to pass.

It's a good thing I have common sense and a thought process. I've never done business with State Farm for home or auto insurance. The thought never crossed my mind and following my experience with State Farm the other day, I will never think about doing business with them. I was the victim of a hit and run incident the other day. Someone was driving reckless behind me. I could see this person weaving in and out of lanes, putting a lot of innocent bystanders at risk. The person crossed the solid lines into on-coming traffic, swerved back and forth, hit my driver side mirror, cut in front of me and floored it once they realized they hit my vehicle.

I chased the subject while on the phone with 911. They were trying so hard to get away. I was able to corner them and prevent them from leaving while I waited for the cops. The LAPD was a joke. They had the nerve to tell me they can't do anything if THEY didn't witness it. That's definitely not the law! That's like saying they can't do anything about any crime unless they witness it... that's definitely not true!

I had to explain to them that my truck has 12 cameras that record non-stop 24/7 and backup to a remote hard drive at my house every 60 seconds and that system backs up to a remote hard drive at my office in San Francisco. When I got home, I filed the claim with State Farm. I emailed a summary of what happened and uploaded the video of their customer's reckless and negligent driving.

The following day, I received a phone call from some uneducated person at State Farm. She was so ignorant! She had the nerve to argue with me about the accident and obviously never bothered watching the video. Within minutes, I was fed up with her ignorance, I pretty much told her off, told her to never contact me again and to deal with my insurance (Geico) and lawyers. I contacted my insurance and went ahead and filed the claim with them. They're taking care of it now. A Geico rep contacted me and said he received the video and that it's ridiculous and unbelievable that State Farm had the nerve to argue this. The video clearly shows their customer breaking numerous laws driving reckless, side swiping my vehicle and trying to get away.

Never again! I cancelled my AAA expecting that with insurance with State Farm that my roadside assistance would be better. When I truly needed them that failed me. Called and provided all the information then waited. That wait became 2hrs. I was patient thinking it’s Friday, it’s the summer. They will come. Eventually I called back and they told me they had no record of my original call!??? They asked me all the information again. Only thing was my underwear color that I wasn’t asked. Waited again a 2nd time and they never came and no call back. I had to call AAA and reactive my account on the spot to get help. I will surely be exploring my options for a new insurance. I am a very disappointed and dissatisfied customer.

I can't get my car back because State Farm won't pay the claim even though the dealership has sent in all the paperwork. It is sitting repaired at the dealer. We have talked to State Farm multiple times with them claiming they don't have the claim or the outside vendor is disputing the labor rate. This is a claim for two wiring harnesses that a rodent chewed thru. It has to be taken care of by someone who works on electrical. Our dealer is asking for $100/hr. for labor and ASI, the outside vendor for State Farm, says they should only get $40/hr. Every time we talk to a State Farm claims representative, they say they can't do anything until the claim is approved.

We took the car in on August 20th because a light went on saying there was a problem. Since the car is still under warranty, we took it to the dealer. They found the problem with the wiring. That was on the 21st of August & we filed a claim. It is now the 14th of Sept. and we still don't have our car. We have tried to speak to a supervisor at the State Farm claims dept. but haven't been able to get thru. We are beyond frustrated. And the saga goes on!

I recently made a claim due to front end damage on my 2015 Silverado. Got the estimate done at a garage. They then send an adjuster who writes half less than the cost of the repair. I had a damaged rim and rack and pinion which is 3000 dollars to repair in total. I have a 2015 Rally 2 Edition so rims were pricey. Back to the problem at hand. I find out the adjuster priced out junkyard parts to repair my fully covered low mileage great condition pickup. Now tell me how safe that sounds. Used parts in the steering component of a 6 thousand pound vehicle. But they said they guarantee it.

Ok so what happens when your junkyard parts break and I end hurting myself, kids or innocent bystander. And why bother pay for full price on their half fix. This is so dirty and I'm so beyond angry. I am 37 years old. Have been with them since I had a driver's license and paid my bill on time. And in return I get shoddy work and used parts from a boneyard and god only knows what those parts have been through. I could see replacing a hood at junkyard but something as vital as steering. Just goes to show you how low of a company this is.

My State Farm agent has always answered any questions directly and precisely and when an answer wasn't known, the agent directly got the answer from main office and all answers are always explained. I personally have seen my agent even word explanations in a ways that any person with lack of insurance knowledge can understand.

The agents are local, so they know the area. If I have a problem, they can recommend local places to go. The agents are friendly, and know who you are. The policies they recommend are the best for my situation, taking in not only what I need, but also balancing it with what I can afford. They answer the phone 95 percent of the time, and when they don't I get a call back immediately.

I liked the personal service from my agents staff and that they looked at the whole risk picture to find gaps. They customized a package that gave more coverage at lower cost. State Farm's app is easy to use and secure. Better value than having 3 policies with different companies. If your profile fits to get State Farm I recommend.
