Very satisfied except that a claim that I filed for non traffic accident that resulted in property damage was not paid to the victim until after they had paid for all of the work, so they had to wait to have the work completed until they could afford it.

State Farm offers reasonable rates and multi-policy discounts. They are available 24 hours a day and have always been polite and helpful when I needed them. They have multiple offices in my city and as they are a nationwide company they have been able to meet my needs no matter where I have been living. One of their agents even point me to where I could get a better deal on a certain type of insurance. Yearly the agents review my policies and determine where I can save money and if I need additional coverage for any of my policies.

I had a good, responsive agent - maybe that helps, which I'm sure it does, so my experience was a pleasant solid one. My car was totaled and the process beginning to end was uneventful - that's a good thing. It was quick getting the check to cover the loss as well. And, my rates did not really go up. It was a good experience.

Not only do they have high customer service and very friendly representatives they have also always offered me affordable auto insurance at good rates with decent benefits. Of course all insurance agencies try to give you a run around when submitting accidents into the company but I have yet to have any major issues with my coverage and getting vehicle repairs when I was not at fault for accidents and or damage.

I feel as they are trying to steal my identity, rob me and most of all I am truly in fear of my life because the way they are harassing me and nothing is being done about it and I already know the police isn't going to do nothing about it because some polices be in on stuff like that.

I had to call them about a month ago to ask what was going on with this claim. They stated they needed additional information regarding my medical treatments, but I had to call them, instead of them calling me. I have been calling them and leaving messages the past few days, but they have not called back. Thinking of hiring a lawyer. This company is the worst I've experienced as far as customer service.

They are full service, meaning you can go into an office and talk to an agent who takes care of everything and anything you need insurance wise, including making your payments. They offer a better price than some of the "discount" insurance companies that advertise on TV, Internet, and everywhere that they can get you a better price if you contact them for a quote, but don't offer the most comprehensive service. They have offices around the country that are able to serve your sales needs (not necessarily your claims needs), and they are fast to settle and pay out claims.

So I calls back on October 2 to make sure everything is still set and the same agent tells me I'm a month behind because billing has changed my due date on date I called in to make change.

So I told her what she told me and she said she don't recall telling me that but if I go online my account shows that it is set in system like that. So they pass me to 2 other agents who tells me she didn't tell me that. One agent hung up in my face after taking my payment and said call back in a week to get my due date change because they had to reinstate my policy after she told me that she can change it back to the 28th if I made the September payment. Another agent while trying to explain what was going on with my account told me I was talking out my head cause I wasn't agreeing with what was going on with my account and I cursed him out. Resolution was never confirmed. They made me make a payment that I did not agree on cause they canceled my insurance which put me in a financial bind with other bills.

They did not call me, so I called my insurance company the next day and all of the sudden State Farm says that they never accepted liability and that the accident was my fault. Wow this was ridiculous. They said they did not have documentation of accepting liability, gee I wonder maybe they deleted it. Obvious?? What a horrible insurance company that one day they say something and all of the sudden they change their mind when it was clearly their driver's fault as said so by the police report that said the other driver was recklessly driving.

My daughter was involved in an auto accident in September 2015. It happened in a parking lot. She had three witnesses who saw the accident happen. The only "witness" State Farm Claims rep are taking a statement from is a woman who claimed she did not see the accident when it happened. They said they do not need to follow up with the other THREE people who actually saw the accident! The claims rep was very condescending. She said my daughter is the one at fault. And another thing I learned through this whole experience, if you have a passenger with you in the car, they won't take a statement from them! I think I will look for a new insurance company today! Very dissatisfied customer!

We were State Farm customers for years and never experienced an issue until recently. We had one set of claims due to weather (home and auto) that pelted our house and trucks with lemon sized hail stones. That was two or three years ago. Now, we buy a new truck and receive our quote from our State Farm agent. Lo and behold, like a stick in the eye, State Farm comes back and says two things. First of all, the truck should quote lower than it originally did ($864); however, because we recently dropped one policy for a car that we no longer own, the new truck is now a replacement at almost double ($1143.00) the quoted premium because it hasn't been 40 days since we dropped the car we no longer own.

Even our agent admits that he's never heard this one. It's as though they don't want our business anymore and just have to give us one more poke in the eye on the way out the door. Something is happening with State Farm and it'll be curious to see what it is before all is said and done. Currently, we're shopping around because we just can't accept that nonsense.

I was involved in an accident in May of 2015 in which I was rear ended on the highway. Even though I was not at fault, my case was still treated as if I had done something terribly wrong. I had pictures & witnesses etc. My car sat in the storage garage for 4 days until I called myself to check in & was told State Farm did not contact them. The last conversation I had with a rep from SF indicated they were having the car moved to a garage of my choice & that I would be contacted by the mechanic myself to discuss what the damages were. Come to find out the car was STILL not moved to the garage for repairs after almost a week. When I spoke with State Farm they told me that I was supposed to be the one to arrange my car to be moved from the storage facility to the garage after which I explained that the agent I spoke with did NOT make me aware of this & in fact told me "we will take care of this ma'am."

So the car was moved after about a dozen more phone calls to State Farm & the mechanic. Finally about a week later I get a call from SF asking me what the update was! When I called the mechanic they said, "that car has been sitting outside in our lot for almost a week while we had no knowledge who it belongs to or where it came from!" Unbelievable. Since then I have spent countless hours on the phone being transferred, treated disrespectfully & steered down the wrong path. They have been an absolute nightmare to deal with & are now sending bills claiming that I have a $5000 medical coverage that has now been exhausted & I'm responsible for anything leftover. Um no. I was NEVER told I had that maximum & in fact I was encouraged to see a doctor free of charge with no worries or responsibilities whatsoever.

Now I get slapped with a bill for over $1000 saying that 2 days prior to my final appointment, the benefits ran out! How are you going to post date a letter on 9/15 then expect me to get it before my final appointment on 9/17 just being like sorry good luck! Every single step of this process has been horrendous. They are lying, cheating, slippery pieces of trash & do not care at all about the welfare of their clients. I would never recommend this company to anybody even my worst enemy. I have filed complaints with the BBB & written consumer reports, I hope this helps people. No part of this already frustrating process was easy with them!

My son who is on my insurance with Geico was involved in a not at fault rear end by a woman carrying State Farm insurance. Damages done to our car was rear end damage as well as the car making horrible rattling sounds after the collision. Visual repairs were done by Chuck Nash Collision Center who are one sided with State Farm and will make recommendations to benefit the insurance not the owner of the vehicle. Once the auto body repairs were complete the car was taken to Chuck Nash Dealer for a diagnosis of the engine sound that was created by the accident. And the result of that was the sound is coming from the engine and no further explanation.

State Farm refused to pay for further diagnosis to determine what was creating the sound which is not just a little pinging or knocking, sounds like the motor wants to shake loose. State Farm said flat out that if the dealership could prove that the engine issue was done by the accident then they would pay for it but I would need to out of pocket the expenses to get that determination ($600+ at least to start looking into the problem and double or triple if they dig dipper into the motor). I got a second opinion from an actual dealership of the make of the car and was told there's no way to prove it was caused by the accident and that's the reason State Farm was not moving further paying additional fees. Now I'm out of pocket to pay for engine repairs on a vehicle that we have had less than a month due to a accident that was not our fault. Get legal advice if dealing with State Farm claims!!

Why, when SF insured hit me? Because SF does NOT know what risk management means which makes their business practices POOR. Their insured hit me on 6/6/15 and I initiated everything with police and SF however, SF NEVER sent an adjuster to date (9/23/15). So my insurance company (safeco) is in subrogation with SF. I also filed a complaint with my state insurance division, who's enforcement is worthless so I will NOT back down. In the last 3 years, my auto insurance has increased 20 percent per year (from $1,200 to $2,000/yr), all the while my deductibles have risen from $500 to $1000 and my coverage reduced (bodily injury, uninsured motor vehicle and property damage) by nearly 50 percent. I have no traffic violations and single minor accident ($800 claim) - slight tap on the bumper of an older car which happened a few months ago. I never admitted fault for the damage, as I believe it had been there for years. There was no damage to my car, or personal injuries. The other car was 10 +/- years old, with a cracked bumper. State Farm has declared the crack to be my fault; the other car was bright red and mine was white, yet there were no white marks on the other car and no red marks on mine (NO evidence.) As a result, my insurance went up another 20 percent this year! Unbelievable!!!

I have tried to dispute the claim to no avail. Furthermore, my agent tells me the Florida insurance commission has 'allowed' the increases throughout the state. QUESTION: If the 'commission' allows a rate increase, does that mean the company must increase rates on all its customers just to maximize their profits? I am all for business' making a profit, but 20% rate increases for several years on a customer with a clean record? I will never do business with State Farm again. "Like a Good Neighbor"- Hogwash!!!

On the evening of July 5th, I contacted MSV towing in Pittsburgh to tow my 1991 Ford Mustang manual transmission vehicle. After approximately an hour, MSV towing arrived and the operator connected my vehicle to the tow truck, but with the rear wheels in contact with the ground. After several miles of towing the tow truck driver observed white smoke coming from the rear of my vehicle. In addition, we could both hear a high-pitched squealing noise coming from the rear. He then pulled the truck to the side of the road. When I exited the vehicle I was overwhelmed by a thick cloud of white smoke. In addition, there was a strong smell of burning fluids and overheated metal. I immediately noticed a puddle of fluid dripping from the back of my engine and white smoke billowing out of my tailpipe. I got into my car and the car was still in first gear and the key was in the run position.

I believe that the tow truck operator started the car by pulling it in first gear with the key in the run position, causing catastrophic failure. And, I had an automotive expert tell me after inspecting the vehicle that, based on my observations and the condition of the motor, that it sounded as if that is what happened. I subsequently contacted the tow truck company owner in an effort to get him to reimburse me for the cost of repair, but he has refused to pay for anything other than the transmission. And, he has acknowledged to me, State Farm and the BBB that his driver was negligent.

I then submitted a claim under the comprehensive coverage of my auto policy to get the car repaired, but State Farm has refused to compensate me for this covered loss. I have asked State Farm Mutual for a copy of the failure analysis, the adjuster's report and any effort that they have made to properly evaluate this claim and I have received nothing. In fact, the denial letter is riddled with inaccuracies, including their claim that the damage was done to a 1999 Ford Mustang.

I relayed all this information to the customer service representative. Before the call ended I told her again MY PHONE IS LOCKED IN MY TRUCK. I was told it would only be 40 minutes. At around 3pm I called back to find out what happened to the Rescue Ranger Service that was supposed to unlock my truck. I had been standing in the doorway of the Wal-mart entrance/exit for all that time. I had a 3 year old with me that was hungry and sleepy. At no time did I see anyone stop at my truck or look around to see if someone was watching. Or come into the Wal-mart and have me paged since it was raining and I could not stand beside the truck. It was raining and cold.

I called a third time, find out what was taking so long. They told me they had been trying to call me. I told them yet again that I was sick of repeating myself telling them that my phone was locked in the truck with my keys. I was told that another service had been dispatched and it would be yet another hour. As I was calling back for the 5th time a driver came into Walmart and was about to have me paged when I heard him say my name.

They made this whole mess a nightmare. They really need to put something in place so that this doesn't happen to someone else. Maybe by putting a place on the order where the information about my phone being locked in the truck with my keys would be good. I'm disabled by Fibromyalgia and Arthritis. Standing In the cold and rain trying not to miss your dispatched service providers didn't do me any good. Plus my 3 year old grandson was cold and wet, hungry and sleepy. I also had a 10 year old nephew waiting on my porch at home. Yes, he was drench and shivering by the time I could get to him. All because someone didn't "LISTEN" to me your "valued customer" as I was called several times. If I was so valuable how did I get treated so badly? Maybe I need to take my business elsewhere. Maybe to a company who knows how to treat a "VALUABLE" customer.

By the time I got my truck unlocked it was after 5pm. That is ridiculous and hurtful to three people or should I say one disabled adult and 2 children. I hope you correct this issue. I really do. I was in tears trying to get my muscles to lift my grandson into his car seat to get him home to a warm dry place. Thank you for your contribution to a miserable day.

The car my daughter was driving had liability insurance and was only valued at $4800. Each car involved needed to file a claim with their own insurance company to cover what his insurance would not cover.

The lady at Geico (the gentlemen who caused the accident's insurance company) tried to get things settled with us, since we were the only one with liability insurance and couldn't file a claim with our insurance - we would have walked away with $4800 and left the other $20200 for the other 4 cars involved in the accident to split up between them. But State Farm was one of the insurance companies who flat out said NO and didn't care that we were being completely screwed and will end up with nothing for our car, because they needed that extra $1000 while we are being denied a few thousand to help buy a new car.

I have thought about changing insurance companies and giving State Farm a chance, but after learning how much they really do care about other people, no thank you. YOU can take the entire amount available for 4 cars and keep it. Don't worry about the little guy who is walking away with nothing at all. I have gone back almost 3 years and have never missed a payment... Wait, I'm not paying - they are automatically taking. Well, in March of 2015 they forgot to take payment. In April they remembered and started taking again. Next thing you know I'm getting a cancellation letter, which went to the wrong address. I just received it because I know the person living there, but I did receive it 2 months late.

Called the agent to figure this out and I was told my insurance was cancelled due to non-payment. How is this possible?? State Farm failed to withdraw payment from an account they have been drawing from for over 3 years, but now it's my fault that they forgot. I am now being hit with almost $600.00 in fines from the State of Louisiana for cancellation of insurance. I feel I should be compensated by the agent for THEIR mistake. When coming home the next day we noticed the car was gone. We called the police and we called State Farm. We did our first recorded statement with State Farm, we submitted the completed forms that they asked for. They told us to wait 20 days and they will contact us. The car wasn't found. They offered me a settlement and said they will send it to our agent's office.

After a few days I get a called from their special investigation unit. The car was found. I was so happy! I didn't want their stupid settlement. So I go down to the tow yard and they tell me I have to pay $600 in fees. When contacting State Farm, they stated to send them copies of the bill and they will pay it. I honestly didn't care at this point, I was just so happy to get my car back. Well...I wasn't so happy when they showed me the car, there was a lot of damage to the car. Then when I drove the car and almost crashed the car because it wouldn't turn, I was even more upset. So I had someone tow it to a shop. I contacted State Farm and they said they will have someone come take a look at it. A week later I get a phone call from the special investigators unit. The car is totaled $12,000 in damages. Wow!!! Okay so what do we do now?

"We need to investigate the car. We need to take a look at it and get it out of the shop it's sitting in right away, so State Farm doesn't have to pay any more money for storage." I did everything they asked. I sent them a total of 22 emails. They wanted a copy of the police report, I sent it 3 times, then to find out the investigator had it the whole time. She also lied to me and she requested it 3 times and then she said she requested it 5 times. She said the damage to the car was $12,000 then she said $11,000. Then me and my husband was asked to do a second recorded statement. We did the recorded statement again and then she said we need to investigate the car again.

Then she came back a week after we did the recorded statement and said we had to do a statement under oath in two weeks on September 28th 2015. I am very upset with State Farm. I have been lied to several times. I did everything they asked me do. I sent them pictures of the car, tickets of my Yankee game, affidavits, police reports, bills - you name it, I sent it to them.

Now I get a letter in the mail, they want 25 more items including my phone records, text messages, bank statements, tax returns - you name it, they want it. They basically want to know what color underwear I have on. It just doesn't make any sense, they are treating us like criminals. Why not do this to the person who stole my car!!! I have contacted an attorney but I want to let everyone know if you have State Farm or considering getting State Farm, think again. They are the bad neighbor you need to stay away from!!! My son had a moderately severe whiplash injury from basically being hit 2x (once from behind and once in the front.) The property damage claim was handled very quickly and fairly. The medical bills were paid by our State Farm policy and then sent on to be repaid by the at-fault driver's policy. We waited for 6 months after the last medical bill was submitted before we approached Rob ** about a personal injury claim. He seemed surprised that we were even contacting him.

After several phone calls to many people (Rob was often not available) over the past 14 months, we just received a settlement offer on 8/31/15. It was ridiculously low, and our request for a better offer was met with an offer that was only slightly higher than the original one. When we said that was not satisfactory, we were informed that we only had 2 days to decide what to do because we were up against the statute of limitations (2 years). There are not even any attorneys who will take our case because there is no time left to do anything. I realize that State Farm's goal is to pay out as little as possible for claims, but I feel it is very dishonorable of them to drag their feet for 14 months and then make an offer when it was too late for us to do anything but accept it.

I been with State for a long time. They talked me into signing up for their Drive Safe Program, which was free for a year. First complaint was before my year trial was even over. Without any notification, no authorization, they debit my checking account for the device. I had my bank reverse the charges because, first of all, I never signed anything authorizing them to debit my account. Second complaint, the device used with the Drive Safe Program was either a SCAM or it was not compatible with my Standard 5 speed vehicle.

At first I received A's and B's, then as the months passed, I noticed they graded me like a C- for acceleration, right/left turns grades drop, which I wasn't receiving the discount I should have been receiving. The SCAM is, they charge you a fee of $6.33 a month to be on the program, which is ruffly $76 a year out-of-pocket. So I cancelled out the program because I felt it was a SCAM and I wasn't seeing any discounts. Then when my policy renewal in September of this year, my 6 months, monthly rate jumped from $85.49 to $107.99. When I called to inquire why my monthly rate had gone up $20, I was told because I cancelled the Drive Safe Program.

REALLY! First of all, I was paying a lot less before I even signed up for this SCAM! Secondly, if I did receive any discount, I was penalized for cancelling. Now here the BIGGER complaint. My vehicle was hit in the parking lot, I called to file a claim, gave all my information along with the police report number. Days, weeks, a month went by and I hadn't heard a word from them. I emailed my agent and he respond saying that the reason why, was because I stated I hit a car in the parking lot! STUPID LIARS! I replied that I was planning to file a complaint with the Texas State Board of Insurance. I am in the process of switching to another company. State Farm is a FRAUD. Anyway... 2 weeks after I cancel, I get a so called random letter from BMV asking me to prove I have insurance on my car. I feel they provided BMV with my name and status because of cancelling my insurance with them. The letter from BMV states it's a random check... Sure it is. I'm about 99 percent sure, State Farm sent the information. Sneaky company that don't live up to the hype. Our company insurance in now with another insurance agency. Good luck State Farm.

We have given State Farm our business for many years and paid for the best policies they have and when ONE thing went wrong our policy doubled. Someone HIT US, and they know who it is and where he is at and NOTHING was done. So we paid for it all and also our rates doubled. We were lied to as when we got our policy they told us we are covered if anything happens to us. And we asked if our rates would go up and we were told NO. And they went so high we had to get another agency. We were called names, my wife was called the N word and we were totally lied to. I want everyone to know what happened to us so you are made aware. State Farm is the worst of the worst of insurance agencies.

I do not recommend adding roadside assistance to your insurance policy no matter what insurance company you have. I made the terrible mistake of doing so not just with this company but my previous one too. I should have learned my lesson then but I thought I would give it another chance. Both times I called for roadside assistance and nobody showed up. They told me a tow truck would arrive in an hour but 2 hours went by and no show so I cancelled the service. I would much rather pay a local towing company out of pocket and at least have them show up when they say they will than have virtually free towing service and it be useless. Nothing but a waste of time! Avoid at all costs!

For some reason, they cannot obtain our medical records. I told this to my insurance company, and they pulled my records while I sat there in their office. State Farm is only out to make as much money as they can, and distributing as little as possible. If I don't hear anything by October of 2015, I will definitely be suing both the driver and State Farm. Tired of waiting. Their claims specialists are not special in my book.

State Farm has insured every vehicle I've ever owned for over 40 years. That's over 40 years of premiums paid - never missed a payment, never a day late. I have never been in an accident so have never submitted a claim. In 40 years State Farm has not dispensed a payment for any auto related incident. I recently added my 19 year old son to my policy. As you can probably guess a claim against him was submitted. The other vehicle sustained less than $1000 worth of damage. So why have my rates increased by $300 every month? My car payment isn't even that much. I could buy the other fellow another car for that much!

Spoke to my agent who stressed how my payments could be lowered by submitting proof that my son took driver's ed and is a good student. Agent's retiring next month so I suspect he really couldn't care less. The rate increase seems excessive to me. I'm already looking at quotes from other reputable firms and I will be taking my auto insurance and homeowners insurance business elsewhere.

Once they got my car to their yard I heard not a word!!! 2 months later and I'm paying for a rental car. So what are they doing? They owe me money but no word from them. Typically b.s. from State Farm. Also they are ripping me off and not wanting to pay me what my car is worth even though the other insurance company has to pay them. A tree fell on my car. I called my agent immediately. They reserved the rental car, said they would pay up to 80% of $500. I was taken through the normal questionnaire about the damage but couldn't really see much since the tree was lying on top of my car. (No one came out to look at the car!) I was told to send the invoice to the claims dept. so they could take care of it. It's been 2 weeks still nothing! My car sat at the body shop for 5 days until they came to take a look at the car. Mind you I'm still in my rental. They extended the rental but told me I would be responsible for payment even though it wasn't my fault. It took so long to have them come look at the car and that held up the process of my car being fixed. Then they totaled my car and told me they would pay my lien holder off and give me the remainder. I agreed.

After another week of calls to them and no return calls from my adjuster, I decided that I would not sell them my car, that I would just bring it home. I called to see what the hold up was because I was gonna use the remainder to put a downpayment on another car. I spoke to several different people and was told that the lien holder hadn't sent over the title or a guarantee letter to them. They stated they didn't know I had a lien holder. I told her I had spoken to an agent the Friday before and he called my lien holder with me on the phone and he also saw the invoice for the tree removal in the system. Now all of a sudden there is no invoice!!!

On top of that, I called the lien holder to tell them I would not be selling my car. He said "Oh they called this morning and said they had already cut a check and it was on its way." I told him that was funny since I had just gotten off the phone with them and they claim they hadn't spoken with you guys. It's been a complete run around for the past 2 weeks speaking with 17 different people and not one time has my adjuster returned my call. I have been with them for 7 years and have auto and 4 life policies with them. I am so disgusted with their service. They are nothing but crooks!!

I have been with State Farm for 36 years since I first learned to drive. I was hit by someone who ran a red light and they admitted they were at fault. There were also witnesses. Their insurance "Liberty Mutual" has been very helpful and forthcoming, but State Farm has been very slow to respond and has had me waiting for everything. State Farm says they cannot act until they receive a Police report that State Farm says takes 30 days. I call Police Records myself and they say 8-10 days to get Police Report. Liberty Mutual already has the report but State Farm does not.

I have now rented a car for three weeks and Liberty Mutual would like to stop paying for rental cause State Farm is taking so long. Liberty is still going to pay for the rental even though they don't have to. Liberty Mutual has also asked me for all my Medical Bills and sent me a medical release form. State Farm still has not requested any of these from me and it has been three weeks now. My car was towed to a lot that is at the other end of our town 30 miles away and I had to drive there to get my belongings and found out that most of my belongings were missing including my insurance card and registration information in my glove box.

State Farm offered me a very low price for my car which was less than Kelly Blue Book and did not take into consideration my new (3 month old) off road tires, new custom rims, new custom front end suspension parts, new battery and new $800 fuel pump. Those parts alone are worth more than they are offering me. My story goes on and on, and I have had it with State Farm. Liberty Mutual has treated me so good, and I am not their customer, that I will drop State Farm as soon as this is settled and will never go back.

Geico has spoiled me. Their claims process was so easy. I will never use StateFarm now and I hope that next time someone hits me they have Geico.

My biggest issue is with the StateFarm claims rep. I spoke with my claim rep maybe 2 times, one time right after the claim was setup and a second after I had already picked the vehicle up. Every other time she was not in so the person who I was talking to was able to give some info but I had to leave a message and she NEVER returned my calls. I had to call in to get status updates. My car was broken into this year and with Geico I got daily status updates from the Geico rep who is actually on site looking at my car. When I picked it up it was washed and vacuumed and the rep went around that car with me asking questions. He had already worked out any little issues that were missed before I picked the car up.

With StateFarm I had to call the shop, not the rep, and when I picked the car up it was full of dust and I was just given my keys with no real walk around. A/C didn't work, hood wasn't latching! (only the emergency catch), turn signal was sticking out, paint was chipped with bare metal showing next to the turn signal and missing body clips. I had to go back to the shop 3 times and I still need to go back for 2 more issues. The chip needs properly fixed, not with touch up paint they tried to use, and my A/C is making a nasty noise now. My second issue is with how I was treated. I felt like a criminal trying to scam them. After the initial shop did their estimate and work I was told that anything else they had to inspect before approving but I would have to pay for a mechanic first and if they said it was due to the accident then they would come out and inspect.

I drove my vehicle a lot before the accident and I have driven it a lot since and I know for sure that the vehicle doesn't drive the same. So since then I have had the car aligned 3 times, tires balance 3, new tires, installed new adjustable rear control arms, and new front axles. Currently the vehicle drives much better thanks to the new front axles but it still won't go into alignment. I just paid $275 for a full 4 wheel alignment including camber adjustments and tire balance at a third mechanic. This mechanic thankfully asked me without prompting if the car had been in an accident recently. I called StateFarm and guess what? Claims rep wasn't there and I would leave a message for her to call me back!! I asked if I could speak with an adjuster and after a long hold I finally was able to speak to my first adjuster, ever for this accident. But unfortunately 24 hours later I have yet to get a call from the local inspector.

So far I have spent $100 for rear control arms, $300 for alignment/balance and control arm installation, $500 new tires, $150 new front axles, $275 alignment/balance for a total of $1325 out of my own pocket and my car still isn't right since it won't fully go into alignment. StateFarm if you treat us like criminals you're likely to make honest people dishonest. I bet if I had reported and injury (whiplash) I would get treated right. Since I didn't report an injury StateFarm knows that a lawyer will be hard to hire since damages are minimal and they can deny and deny until I give up and go away. Oh wait I've noticed my neck has been a little stiff since the accident, maybe I need to really go see a doctor.

I was involved in an automobile accident on 04/06/14. I was the passenger of a vehicle that was rear ended. The driver of the vehicle that rear ended us had Mercury Insurance and they paid the policy's maximum of $50,000 and awarded the driver and myself $25,000 each. Our mutual attorney filed a first-party under-insured motorist claim, using the driver's insurance of the vehicle I was in, which is State Farm. The State Farm Adjuster, David **, offered the driver $70,000 new money and offered me nothing although both of us suffered nearly identical shoulder tear injuries. The tears in our shoulders were verified by the results of MRIs we received. Moreover, the majority of the damage was on the passenger side on the rear of the vehicle.

I am also unsure why the adjuster was asking my attorney about my longevity, since it had nothing to do with the accident. I have stage 4 breast cancer metastatic to the bone. The adjuster stated to my attorney that the reason he was offering zero is because I waited 6 weeks to be treated and the damage to the car was minimal. I had in fact gone to Urgent Care immediately after the accident but the office was closing. Based on my MRI results, it showed that the tear on my shoulder was a result of the accident. The other reason the adjuster gave my attorney for offering zero was because I had already been paid by Mercury Insurance.

It was explained to the adjuster by my attorney that I had waited six weeks after the urgent care to treat further because I had just had a Bilateral Mastectomy less than 90 days prior to the accident and that I was hoping the pain in my shoulder would go away. It is my contention that the adjuster David ** has discriminated against me and ultimately made the decision not to pay me as he is banking on the fact that I have stage 4 breast cancer metastatic to the bone, and I may not live long enough to go through the arbitration process.

I have State Farm car insurance for more than 1 year now. Me and my husband both are on the insurance. We were travelling to Atlanta at night. Around 10 pm on dark road our car swayed with loud noise. We thought of flat tire and got to shoulder within seconds to have a look. It was not a flat tire but some junk piece of some vehicle or some equipment, was stuck under our car on driver front side. We do not know whether it was on road or flew from somewhere under our car as it was very dark, rainy night. Upon inspection we thought of calling roadside assistance as car was stuck unable to move because of that object under our car. Also we did not wanted to do any damage to our car in process of removing that object by ourselves as it was not possible to see how big the object was.

So we called State Farm roadside assistance and frustration starts. We were transferred on phone for more than seven times. WE keep repeating what happened to every person. Second person in the call determined this is an accident. They kept telling very confusing thing which were not at all helpful. Not a single one of SF people asked where we were or the place is safe. (I am 27 weeks pregnant). They told us to pay out of pocket and they will see to it later but cannot guarantee anything. After one hour one guy told us to get another road side assistance service and save the receipt for agent so that if possible they will see for reimbursement but it's not their decision and they cannot guarantee anything.

No one from State Farm was even bothered to send roadside assistance until we file claim right then and there. We kept asking but they only talked about claim and even did not mention roadside assistance for how much time it will take. Almost 2 hours were lost on phone. We told them that our phone batteries are draining and to help us fast but they had no hurry or even willingness to send roadside assistance. Finally they just told upfront to get any other roadside assistance and that was end of conversation. it was very clear that we were not receiving any help from State Farm.

Finally my husband decided to take a risk and after using jack he removed the stuck junk piece under our car. It was very dark night, it was raining and as he needed to do work on driver side we had to be extra careful about traffic on the road. We took risks for our lives because State Farm wanted their money upfront without sending any help at all. Getting State Farm insurance is like throwing money in water because you are never going to get any kind of benefits from this insurance which you are actually suppose to get. PLEASE DO NOT GET STATE FARM INSURANCE ITS A TRAP. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT SECURITY OF VEHICLE OR LIVES OF PEOPLE. They just need money.

I have several issues with State Farm. I've used them for auto insurance since about 1975. In 1995 my teen daughter totaled an older car we had for her to drive but were keeping full coverage on with pretty high premiums. It took several weeks of arguing with the adjuster and finally just flat refusing to settle before they'd get sensible about paying what the car was worth. Our home was also covered by the same office. In 2012 we rented our house through a rental agent and moved to a different state. In 2013 we got a notice from State Farm that our house needed a roof. We immediately got it roofed and notified them. About a month later we received a letter from our mortgage holder that State Farm had cancelled our insurance (with no notice!!) and we needed to get some immediately or they would have to purchase it for us through their company and it was extremely expensive. We had never had a claim on that house for a single thing.

I called our agent there (who had been handling our policies for 20 years). She at first said it was because they didn't insure empty homes. It wasn't empty. Then it was because we moved out of state. They couldn't insure a house we owned there because we didn't live in the state? I got on the phone and got a good policy for a rental through a different company for $100 a year less. And they had no problem with where we live. Last year we bought a house in our new state. Again State Farm had the best rates so I sucked it up and fell for it again. First year went fine. Just got my yearly escrow disbursement letter from the mortgage holder. Rates have almost doubled in one year. We've been paying these bozos for home and auto policies for a total of around 40 years with one accident claim. I'm done being treated like crap. Will be shopping for a new insurer.

No one had seen the damage to my vehicle at the Direct Repair Shop and I can only guess that the adjuster described damage and send photo over phone. The repair facility I chose to repair my truck will not repair and said I would not be happy with the work. A second opinion from another shop said the same thing.

I asked State Farm if there was an appeal process and they said to have repair shop send in a supplemental report stating why the fender should be replaced rather than repaired. If you get injured in an accident from State Farm, you have to pay it yourself! Unbelievable. Unbelievable.

My car was struck by a woman insured by State Farm. I called State Farm and spoke to a representative called Vicky. She told me that the repairs needed for my vehicle were approved. I took my car to an auto repair shop linked with State Farm. They said I could get a rental car similar to mine, until my car was repaired. Once the car was ready and I went to pick it up. The auto repair shop said State Farm had informed them they weren't going to pay, like what they originally said would. This change in plan was done by Constance ** one of the Claim Specialist, without any notice or reason given. I had to keep the rental car for a longer period of time while I contacted my own insurance to cover the balance left by State Farm.

State Farm only covered the rental car only for a week, burdening me with the rest of the bill, unfairly. During this process I called State Farm Auto Claims; but all I got was the runaround, would leave messages and my calls were never returned. I tried to get a hold of a supervisor and they told me they didn't have any. There was nothing they could do. They said "You are wasting your time with this." I am disgusted with way I was treated. The accident happened May 14th and till this day, State Farm hasn't paid anything, my insurance to pay for the repairs.

I have been with State Farm for some 30 years and never had a problem, obviously because I never had a claim. But I crashed my 2012 CVO Harley motorcycle in Wyoming this past June doing extensive damage and as it turns out bending the frame. Value of the bike is $22,500. I and the Harley dealer that it is currently at have received nothing but frustration and the run around from the State Farm claims department. They want photos upon photos upon photos even though they have been told numerous times that the frame is bent and a liability to try to fix.

Even without the frame damage being considered the price to fix the bike with parts and labor would be $19,500. My agent now for the past week has been trying to deal with the claims department and they never get back to or properly answer his questions and he is a State Farm agent! This is absolutely unacceptable to be treated in this manner by this company that brags about their service and coverage in all of their advertisements.

State Farm (SF) would not open our claim for their driver's obvious fault in totaling out our truck. Now SF claims they're 100% liable, but won't put that in writing. SF claimed SF would pay our farm help because of our injuries, telling us to email a request letter to statefarmclaims@statefarm.com. SF didn't send any email confirmations, (standard practice), to our some 15 emails asking for farm help, except ONCE -- when we sent SF a FORWARD of our original letter requesting farm help. SF then sent a confirmation causing us to lose our original email, even in our own sent file, as SF confirmations, don't allow you to see what you sent.

A SF supervising adjuster claimed she: (a) didn't get our emails, (b) never heard of statefarmclaims@statefarm.com, (c) gave us a non-working email address to use, (d) then confirmed the exact times she got our emails forwarded from the address she claimed she never heard of, admitting she received them an hour after they were sent, and (e) stated all these things in the same conversation. A separate SF worker gave us the same non-working email address. A separate SF injury adjuster said, in this order, over a series of months: (a) we could make (injury) claims, (b) we couldn't make claims, but only with our own insurance, (c) again, we could make claims, and (d) all while he was lying about eligibility qualifications, but sending us claim forms to sign.

We promised vehicle decorations State Farm does not pay their claims. Then SF finally opened a vehicle claim (2 months later), totaled our vehicle, but never processed our claim. Nor responded to our N.A.D.A. values, truck camper tie down equipment, and broken personal items (3 months later), and then low balled our mint trucks value, claiming Minnesota (MN) law prohibits insurance companies using N.A.D.A. (N.A.D.A. is MN dealers value guide). Our insurance, MN North Star (NS) claimed they're liable under MN no-fault law for lost wages/injuries, but they never processed our claim. Some medical providers fraudulently billed our personal insurance (we forbade this on each visit to each provider), and gave us false information for themselves.

You say get a good lawyer right? But this claimant sent federal agencies over 200 purposely set up fraudulent litigations involving city, county, hospital, insurance, judge, lawyer, etc. conjoint racketeering schemes (together with other conjoint schemes which involve Identity theft/transformation and money laundering). These crimes undermine legitimate businesses. This claimant spent years investigating. No agency would receive the report/evidence. Wonder why one honest person gets paid and the other doesn't from these schemes?

The better question is: What is the future of the honest person who gets paid off by organized crime in terms of victimization? Where is government (GOV) oversight (GOV forces us to pay insurance, taxes, etc.)? Other countries know our GOV is corrupt/fake. We watch our GOV commit crimes against other nations/people, so how could we in this country be safe? We can be eternally safe. The Bible says "The name of the Lord is a strong tower. The righteous run into it and are safe." The Bible tells us to pray the Lords Prayer and follow Bible laws. Man can pillage everything but man's eternal soul. The soul belongs to God. Man decides to accept/reject God as God gave us all free will. Some use their free will to hurt others.

If I could leave no stars, I would in a heartbeat!. This is by far the worst insurance company and I have NEVER been treated so horribly in my life. So I was recently in a car accident. I found out that my current insurance company was cancelling me due to it so I began the process of finding a new company to go through. I knew my rates were going to be higher due to this accident, but after contacting an agent through State Farm, he ran everything he needed to, and told me I was approved at only $20 more than I was paying with my previous insurance company! What I can definitely say is always remember if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is!

So after going through everything, I made my payment and I THOUGHT we were set to go. Come to find out, a week later, I get a call from my agent letting me know that they were going to be cancelling me as well. Apparently according to him, they did some more research on my history (nothing that they would specify) and they came to the conclusion that they were not going to insure me. So according to my agent, he was just as mad as I was (no offense but I call bs on that one) and said that he was going to talk to the underwriting department and try to save it. EVERY SINGLE TIME he would tell me he'd call me back, or would have an answer for me, he never did!.

I was calling him every single day because he would always say,"Oh I'll def have an answer for you in a couple hours," or "I'll give you a call back in an hour to let you know what's going on." He never would, and I'd have to call him the next day. So one afternoon, I called the agent's office and spoke with a woman who said that my agent was out taking pictures of a car for an insurance quote or something like that. I explained that I was frustrated by what was going on and she said she was going to place me on hold and she'd be right back. Well about 5 minutes later, another woman gets on the phone and tells me that my agent is out to lunch and asked if she could help me out in any way.

So first my agent was out taking pictures and then he was out to lunch?? When I told her that the woman before her said that he was out taking pictures, she quite obviously stuttered and tried to save herself by saying, "Oh he wasn't in the office so I just assumed he was on lunch." (yeah, okay...) So anyway, A WEEK LATER (after almost every day being told that I'd have an answer that day) I finally get my answer that my agent wasn't able to save my insurance. Thankfully this whole past week, I prepared myself for this so it wasn't a big shock. So needless to say, I asked for my refund. He told me that he'd talk to billing and get back to me soon. Which surprisingly this time, he did.

He called me back about 20 minutes later and told me that he spoke to billing and that because they decided to cancel me and I didn't cancel them, my refund is "under review" and needs to go through a "review process" before it can be issued back to me. EXCUSE ME??? So not only do YOU cancel ME but now you're telling me that you need to review further as to why you're cancelling me EVEN THOUGH you put the reasons why on the letter you sent me??? What in the world is going on with this company!!!

So I explained to him that I need that refund as soon as possible because I am going through a financial hardship and need to get other insurance and can't wait till last minute... because if I do, I won't have insurance on my car, cause I won't have enough money to get it, and then I won't be able to drive my car and all he could tell me was, "I am sorry." So sorry is supposed to solve all of this?? This is by far the WORST insurance company EVER! NEVER EVER go with State Farm!.

Oh and btw, a little tidbit of information!. If you DO decide to go with this insurance company, and you ever have an issue with your agent or your agent's office, you will greatly be sorry! I called "customer care" a couple times, and they refuse to help. Each time I called I was told, "We can't help you, you have to go directly through your agent." This is such a joke of a company it's not even funny.

He was charged. July 13th Picked up car for delivery to State Farm. Week of July 13th I called every day and no one knew what was happening. That whole week we got no rental car and a whole lot of run around.

July 22nd we were told that the car had not been looked at yet although they had had it for 9 days. I told them the inspection would take ten seconds. I was told that we would have the paperwork overnight so that they could pay off our loan and give us our check. They told us we would get actual value for the car and the extras that we had put on it, taxes and title transfer. We were told that they had not accepted responsibility for the accident because no police report had been filed.

July 23rd finally got a rental car good for 10 days. I had to call and get this extended. I was told, "Well we can't rent you a car for an indefinite amount of time.." July 28th I had not received a check or the paperwork yet so I called them again. A young man talked to me and told me at that time he could send me the necessary paperwork via email. Twenty minutes later I had the paperwork. July 29th paperwork mailed to State Farm overnight mail. July 31st I called State Farm and they had not released the check yet. August 2nd have still not heard from State Farm as to whether or not they have released said monies.

I'm not a highly educated man when it comes to auto insurance, but I know that if both people are insured by the same company that company is going to have to pay. Why should I have to be losing money on interest at the bank because they will not cut a check for a car they know they have to pay for? Every day I'm losing money. I have been with State Farm for about 35 years, don't you think they would try a little harder to settle this claim?

He wanted pictures of my damaged property, again I told him I left the scene in an Ambulance, and did not stop to take pictures. As of now none of my medical bills have been paid. I have not been reimbursed for my lost time at work. They let the totalled truck sit in a tow company lot @$50 a day for almost 2 months. I spent 2 hours on hold today without being able to talk to any representative, or even leave a voicemail. I gave up and turned the medical claim over to an attorney. As of now I have been on hold for 45 minutes to process a claim for my lost tools, with no one answering yet.

I was rear ended by an Allstate customer 5 years ago and the truck, all medical bills and lost time were paid promptly with a token pain and suffering amount added in. I am not trying to hit the lottery with these idiots, but they are going to end up paying 5-10 times more than they could have settled this claim for. Personally I have USAA and would not ever deal with State Farm if they gave a 50% discount.

So quite naturally when I became of age to get my driver's license and start driving my parents of course added me to their existing policy. Once on my own, I of course stayed with State Farm. I want everyone to know it is not so much the company you go with, as it is the agent. I have always been very fortunate to have had an awesome State Farm Agent, no matter where we have lived. The agent is what I would refer to as the real and true backbone of your insurance company. Just like any agent you would have, it his him or her that gives that first Impression of the company they represent. As with all first impressions, it is more than not, that impression we take with us and share with others.

I think anyone reading this review would agree with me. I can remember my very first as well as my current State Farm Agent. Please do not let the name of the insurance company intimidate you to where you would not even consider of having all of your Insurance needs with, as a result of say because of one or two bad referrals, or something negative you have heard or were told about such company. I personally do not know what I would have done at those few but unfortunate occurrences that will happen within all of our lives. I was in a car accident on Friday, July 10th. A car coming onto the highway lost control, crossed 2 lanes on the highway and slammed into the right side of my car as I was driving 65 miles per hour, causing my car to spin counter clockwise 1.5 times and end up on the shoulder on the right side of the highway. After immediately speaking with the CHP, I called State Farm and filed a claim. I have roadside insurance, but the agent taking my claim was not straightforward with how soon I could get a tow, whether it would be better to have it towed to a tow yard or a repair shop, or whether I could get a ride back to my home in Petaluma (30 miles from the scene of the crash). The CHP officer insisted on speaking with the agent in an attempt to speed up the process, but he didn't get anywhere.

The officer said that he could get a tow in 10 minutes and the State Farm agent said, maybe 20-25. After a 35 minute phone call that got me nothing more than a claim number, and still feeling panicked from the crash while standing on the shoulder of the highway, I decided to go with the speedier route which meant getting a tow from the company that the CHP officer called for me. I followed the officer's directions to call my insurance company later that day and let them know the location of my car. The agent said that they would have to transfer my car to a tow company that State Farm is affiliated with so they wouldn't have to pay any more than they needed to, but that the transfer wouldn't happen until Monday, July 13th. Fair enough.

Assuming that the likelihood of my car getting transferred to a different yard and an insurance adjuster inspecting my car on the same day was 1 in a million, I decided to wait until Tuesday, July 14th to call State Farm again with my list of questions/concerns. Meanwhile, I had to spend several hundred dollars on a rental without knowing how long exactly I would need the car. The agent, Vanessa, whom I spoke with said that they were still waiting to receive the police report and they had not yet spoken with the other insurance company. Vanessa said that my car was transferred to the other tow yard and they sent out a request to have an adjuster investigate my car, but she didn't know when the adjuster would get there. I would have expected a little more progress 4 days after the accident, but maybe I have too high of expectations.

After getting a feel for the lackadaisical pace of State Farm, I waited until Friday, July 17th to call back and find out any new updates. After one week, surely there should be some new information for me. The agent whom I spoke with this time informed me that an adjuster was sent to the yard to investigate my car, was unable to find my car, and cancelled the assignment.

My concern is this: where is my car? How come nobody bothered to locate my car? How come nobody is following up with me? I am the customer here, as I have been for 14 years. Over those years, I have paid thousands and thousands of dollars to be a customer of State Farm in exchange for receiving help just in case something happens. Well, something happened and I need State Farm to fulfill their end of the deal, but it doesn't seem like they are doing their part to take care of me, the customer. I am at no fault here and yet, State Farm does not have my back and is not putting in the effort to make me feel secure in this stressful situation. It's unprofessional and downright disrespectful.

I switched from an inexpensive no name (does not advertise etc.) insurance co. to State Farm after being asked by a friend how much I was paying for insurance per month and after answering he said for "a few" dollars more I could have a "Big" company like State Farm insure me and get superior service, and the reassurance that if I did need them they "be there" to help. Well my experience has been the complete opposite.

I was recently involved in a minor accident where I ended up hitting a parked truck after swerving to try and avoid a small dog that ran into the street. No one aside from the dog to blame so my fault by default. I am no car expert but I have done some work to my cars and have had to change out body parts like doors and fenders in the past because of excessive door dings and shopping cart dents etc. so I am familiar with the subject. My cars' damage was contained to the right front corner, so my entire hood is fine etc. It’s damaged from the right front headlight, fender and I scrapped up the right door and rear quarter panel.

State Farms "Approved/Recommended" Body/Repair Shop had my car the very next day. I did not receive a call from them until the following day and was told they had not even looked at my car yet as I had not given them authorization. After giving the authorization by phone I was told I would have an estimate in 24 hrs. Three days later I was called by the repair shop and asked to come in. I was told over the phone that my car had not been inspected yet because I had not given authorization. I was upset and let the rep know I had already given a verbal authorization to which he replied that that was not good enough. I had to physically sign in person.

Once I arrived and greeted, I was presented with blank "Additional Work Authorization" forms "Approval for additional Expenses" and blank "Power of Attorney" to handle my claim with State Farm from that point forward. I have always known never to sign a blank document so when I was presented with all these blank forms I asked the girl who asked me to sign what I was being asked to sign to which she replied "Oh, just standard forms" with no further explanation. I was upset that the forms were blank and also that they were asking me to sign "Additional Repairs" and "Approval for additional expense" forms when they hadn't even taken one look at the car yet or made a single repair.

After getting State Farm on the phone I was talked into "just trust them" because they are a Preferred, Trusted, Approved, and Partner Repair Shop so reluctantly I did sign. Again I was told 24 hrs for the turnaround on the estimate. A whole week later and after several more calls to follow up on the status of the estimate, the repair shop delivered an "initial/visual inspection estimate of $9K. They also requested a "Teardown Authorization" so that they could fully diagnose the damage and provide the complete estimate. When it was all said and done the final estimate was almost 17K. My car was declared a total loss by State Farm.

In today’s market my car is worth 25K, plus it’s just not that easy to find them in the same color with all the options I had. Somehow State Farms Appraisal dept. valued my car at only 19K and we are still in disagreeing over the value of the car. Since State Farm is not paying for repairs, the body shop wanted the car out same day or else I'd start incurring storage fees. The State Farm rep said "we have to get the car out of their yard today!" or we'd start assessing storage fees. She said my options were them towing it to their salvage yard while we work on a settlement or I could have it towed to my place of residence at my own towing expense, my choice to make so I opted to tow it to my place and made arrangements with both State Farm and the repair shop to pick it up the next morning.

So this morning, I scheduled a flatbed tow truck to pick my car up from the repair shop and got a taxi ride into the shop. Once there I was told they could no longer release the car to me unless I signed some forms, after reading through the forms I realized what they were, a settlement agreement form and transfer of ownership of the vehicle from myself to State Farm, WTF? Again this is after just having spoken to a rep and getting the approval to pick my car up and move it to my place while we settle.

Between State Farm switching claim reps literally after every single phone call and the Shady repair shop with their sneaky tactics (blank forms) I am so disgusted, frustrated & mad that I just had to run to the first complaint board I found and make everyone aware of my situation. Not to mention I will NEVER buy another State Farm policy again. I should have just stayed with my little "No Name" company. I'm sure I would not have the same horrible, anxiety causing experience State Farm and their Repair shop have been causing me.

I have had State Farm car insurance for decades. When I retired I asked for a lower premium because I drive less than 7500 miles a year. They did give me a discount, and then the following year they decided I drove MORE than 7500 miles are took away the discount. I didn't notice until the last bill I received. The mileage notification is on the back of the bill, not where you could easily see it. The premium difference is almost $120 a year. They agreed to rebill me for the current invoice, but when I said "you have ripped me off for years," they said I should have looked at the invoice more closely and called each year. They refuse to refund all the years they overbilled me for my coverage.

I find this inexcusable even though my lawyer contacted the CEO of the company to argue. I will be switching to another company, but from the reviews I have been reading, they are all bad.

They knew this in the beginning itself, when the policy was being issued to me. Later, they are asking to pay more ($1000) for insurance else get a refund of $445 and get insurance from other firm which is ridiculous step. I don't understand this, when they were issuing the insurance they should have told me about this scam. I just don't understand this system. It needs to change. Now we had to find another company that would insure us safe drivers and pay over twice as much to drive among irresponsible uninsured bad drivers. I now have no confidence in any insurance company. We contacted our local agent and were told that since my mother moved in with us last year and she has a lifetime guarantee renewal policy, we were being canceled because of her claims. We were rear ended on 7/22/14 by a drunk driver who fled the scene and totaled my Lexus. State Farm was our insurer for over 23 years. They insured my house for 21 years and 3 cars with full coverage. We called the police immediately. They came to the scene and took our information and the witness who saw the accident information. We went immediately to the hospital. We called State Farm and told them what had happened. We were able to take a picture of the license plate of the drunk driver who fled the scene. The Sheriff told us the guy had whiskey plates. The Police did not go after the guy not that day or any day. We were sent a letter to our home stating that they sent the drunk driver a letter asking him to call the police about the accident. This letter was bizarre because it was a whole month after the accident.

My husband is a Pastor and has been for 11 years. State Farm gave us the worst treatment I have ever seen for someone who was left for dead after being rear-ended by a drunk driver. State Farm got the witness statement and acted like the guy was lying and did not see what he saw. They did not contact him until almost a year later and tried to poke holes in his story. The witness told the police the same story as he told State Farm and my lawyer. State Farm is a RACIST organization. The drunk driver is also insured thru State Farm and the guy is trying to say he did not commit the crime. State Farm stopped paying our medical bills after two months. The Medical places then started sending us the bills, now my credit is being ruined.

The line of questioning they gave us was unbelievable during our deposition. They asked us if we were felons, if we did drugs, if the accident my husband was in over 30 years in the military ago was the cause of the accident now. They wanted to pull our financials for me and him and our church. We were the ones who was hurt in the accident. What does my church have to do with me getting rear ended? MN is a NO FAULT STATE. They have humiliated us so bad that we do not understand what is going on. They wanted to know why we even went to the park or on a drive. I have never heard of anything so strange in all my life.

My lawyer said if we were white, this would have never happened. I am submitting complainant forms to every organization I can for the BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM STATE FARM. I would HATE to see what 25 years of being with a company gets you. There is not a day that goes by that we are not in pain and we are being treated as if we did not have insurance with this company for 23 years. We are hurt and cannot make the pain go away. We would not intentional hurt anyone the way they have hurt us. VERY SAD CUSTOMER!!!

History: We had auto and renters insurance with State Farm for a little over a year. In early 2014 we added Liability Insurance for a business. It was in effect for 2 days, started on a Friday, and he was in an accident on Sunday, other driver's fault. We filed against the other driver, the truck was a total loss. He was injured and finally went to the Dr. a few days later. We canceled the Liability insurance the next day as we didn't know if/when he would be able to return to work. After trying to return to work, he is now unable to at all. We had several billing issues (another whole separate issue that I may post too) and we canceled all policies in Jan 2015. I still have outstanding bills from this but as Allstate picked up 5k of the medical, we have no recourse. (I have faxed the Dr. bills to State Farm but no reply.)

Current Issue: I received a bill for our "new policy", Liability Insurance, last month, May 2015. I NEVER called them to reinstate or get new insurance from them at all. I e-mailed my prior insurance agent and asked, I thought rather decently, what's up with this? As they have my bank account information, I told them "do not charge my account anything (previous issue), I do not have insurance through you." His response was "please do not contact me"! I called the "Corp" office and they said there is nothing in their records, etc. Back and forth, eventually told them I do not have insurance with them now and will not have it in the future, do not send me another bill. Please cease all contact. I just received another bill, this time it is for 2 months and that it is late. I would imagine this will hit my credit and I will have to get nasty. WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE.

WORDS OF WISDOM. IF YOU EVER GET INTO AN ACCIDENT (auto or any type) knowing that you are not at fault (no matter how small an incident it is), FIND A WITNESS!!! Stop, don't move your car; get the driver or person next to you to give their contact information, so you can get their testimony vouching your innocent. You don't have to ask the witness to stay at the scene of the accident, and wait for the police, unless they are willing to do so, which would be more beneficial for you. A WITNESS is a powerful thing to have in a court of law, the more the better. Because if you don't the other person (driver) can lie and tell a false story to the police officer, causing a dispute of the incident and give the INSURANCE CO. a way to get out of having to pay for your damages.

TRUE STORY... IT HAPPENED TO ME... A driver ran a red light and hit my car, was a minor collision. I moved my car into a gas station and did not bother to get a witness. THE OTHER DRIVER LIED TO THE POLICE and stated that he had a green light (A TOTAL LIAR), and was supposed to be a Christian. Unable to prove my innocence, the insurance company STATE FARM believed his testimony, even after I asked if I could take a lie detector and see if they could get the videos from the cameras at the corner of Artesia Blvd & Central Ave. STATE FARM/The insurance co. gave an excuse that they do not do lie detector and that they do not have access to the street camera and found that the guilty driver innocent and accused me of "negligent for inattention and disregarding traffic light."

THE INSURANCE CO WILL MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE YOU'RE INCOMPETENT JUST TO GET OUT OF THEIR RESPONSIBILITY IN DOING WHAT IS RIGHT to save them money... Do not buy "STATE FARM" insurance, they are as crooked as a thief. STATE FARM IS THE WORST INSURANCE CO. I HAVE EVER HAD TO DEAL WITH. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE TRUTH!!! Please protect yourself from this bad insurance company called "STATE FARM" you may become their next victim. God bless everyone. God peace be with you.

Our vehicle was hit in a parking lot and it has been downhill since then. The other person (he was at fault) has State Farm. State Farm NEVER contacted us. We had to call them in order to receive our claim number and check the status. They literally NEVER contacted us. Finally when we called them for the fourth time they admitted liability and made an appointment for inspection (over a week after the incident). We were told an adjuster could come to us but we would have to wait 3-7 business days and then 7-10 business days for the check to arrive. We decided to come to them.

At the vehicle inspection site my husband overheard a mechanic tell a State Farm adjuster that one of the parts on a vehicle (not ours) needed to be replaced and the State Farm adjuster told him to "just bang it out". Once our inspection was completed we were offered a check in which our name was misspelled. We kindly asked for a new check with the correct name and were told it would take 7-10 business days for it to arrive because she had to mail it. We called the 1800 State Farm number and they insisted the adjuster was wrong and that she could in fact cut us a new check right there on the spot. We drove back to the inspection site and explained to the adjuster that State Farm said there was no reason why she couldn't just give us the check.

After much waiting and waiting we finally received the check with the correct name in our hands. Sigh. My husband took it to the bank and was told it was rejected because its a Q Draft check which is something State Farm does which basically means you have to wait 24-48 hours before cashing your check, although Chase bank told us they have seen State Farm checks take between 7 days-3 weeks.

About 2 hours ago a lady banged into the rear of our vehicle and surprisingly did very little damage, only a few scratches to the paint. She had Allstate Insurance. Let me tell you Allstate called us first and had an adjuster out to our home the very next day. After the inspection she immediately cut us a check for twice the amount of State Farm's check (mind you the damage to our car during the State Farm claim is much worse than the Allstate damage). Please, please, please do not pay State Farm for their crappy service. They are the worst!

State Farm was the insurance company for the person that hit me while was stationary at a RED light. Got in an accident sitting completely stationary at a light I called and reported all my info. They set up a time and came out and looked at my car parked at my house without me present and sent me a check for repair. My first mistake was taking the check and going to a repair shop to get my car fixed. State Farm stated since it was a special car I could take it to any body shop that I preferred. Who guessed it they grossly underestimated the repair cost. In order to reduce my extra out of pocket expenses I'm now stuck with the leg work finding my own parts.

State Farm said they would cover a rental - I was in a rental starting the next day. They actually started yelling at me while I was on the phone literally. I've never been in a screaming match on the phone in all of my life but the State Farm agent had no problem yelling - literally yelling at me over the phone. I wonder what he did incorrectly to feel like that warranted yelling at me. This behavior would be frowned upon at a daycare center let alone in a business setting.

Good body shops are busy - this is a fact of life. So my car is not ready for a couple of weeks. I decide to check in with the insurance company in the rental car company since this is taking a couple weeks. They tell me on the phone we don't have any problems that everything is fine. On the phone they tell me not to worry about it everything is absolutely fine. I was carpooling while I was on the phone. My carpool buddies heard this conversation over the hands free phone.

The next day I'm contacted by State Farm asking me for the name and contact info of my body shop. Two weeks later they finally ask for the info. I thought the check was the end of their end of the repair. I also thought it was strange that they didn't want it until this much time later. I said the name of the body shop and gave them the phone number and address over the phone since they seemed to struggle finding it online. A few days later I got a call saying they would not pay for the rental car since the repair was taking longer and different than what they estimated. Their estimate was to replace a rear deck lid on a 1965 car that was rare and hard to find. The part alone shipped to me was half the cost of what they quoted me let alone the tail light and truck handle. I would have shipped the parts and done none of the paint work using up the entire estimate from State Farm.

My car is also older and matching the paint would be impossible so on the advice of the body shop I decided to paint the whole car and pay the difference out of pocket. When State Farm saw the car they said they would not cover it since I was doing extra work. The body shop only did body work since finding a deck lid was too difficult it was a wash paying for hours and hours of body work. When they finally got to the body shop to investigate only the body work was done. None of the extra work that I was going to pay for out of pocket was even started.

State Farm told me after 3 weeks that I should have told the body shop from the beginning that it was through an insurance company and they should contact them and the work would have been done faster. Again they are stating after cutting me a check and not contacting me until I call them first to check in that I should have done everything differently. At a later date they then stated they would not cover the rental car as of a week before and that I would have to cover the bill. Obviously they cut me a check so I'll go do the work and get shafted on the bill. They are fine with that but not fine with it taking a while to get the work done the correct way.

My biggest surprise is that the insurance company didn't contact me first - I had to cold call them to check in. My second biggest surprise was that they approved something and tried charge me for something that they approved previously. In the real world when a company approves you for an estimate they can't change the agreed on price after the fact without checking in with the customer for approval first. State Farm tried to say I was doing work that they did not approve. When they checked on the car at the body shop none of the extra work was even started on the car. I was paying for all the extra expenses out of my pocket. They decided not to check in until after two weeks.

My job isn't car insurance claims. I'm sure any other insurance person at any other company would make it their business to know what shop I went to and when and what the projected finish date would be if it was part of their job. The person I was working with did not care until weeks after the fact and then tried to stick me with the bill since they didn't follow up on their duties. If they told me a work before the rental car would no longer be covered starting tomorrow or tonight I would have returned the car that night. Saying "We will no longer be covering your rental car starting oh let's say last week" does not work.

I personally have used a different car insurance company for years and I'm much happier with them and any interaction I've had personally or with family has been with other insurance companies - they were always much more professional than my interaction with State Farm. The driver that hit me also had recently expired insurance cards. I wonder if they took his money and shipped his insurance cards late.

I pressed my car brake to stop the gliding and that's when my car started spinning from lane 1 to the ditch out the road. No vehicle was hit. No other accidents occurred. No disaster took place. Only my vehicle was involve on its own accident with water damage. I hit a ditch that was slowly rising with water. The following month, I received a statement telling me my insurance will increase. Why would they increase my insurance? I understand if it was a vehicle involved, but it wasn't any.

In March 2012 my son was involved in an accident, my Hyundai Accent vs. Toyota Tundra. The other guy's insurance company totaled in out, however our claims adjuster felt that they were padding the claim. After the other guy's insurance refused to sign any paperwork, State Farm paid off the other company up to our policy limit. At this point we are going on over 2 years. We then get sued by the other company for the remaining balance that they paid out after they totaled the other guy's Tundra. My son's car was demolished and the other guy had a bent fender but yes, a Hyundai Accent CAN total out a Toyota Tundra. When we asked for State Farm to assist in the litigation they said nope, they had paid their policy limit and were done. They refused to give us any supporting documentation they had collected at the time to support our position that the Tundra was NOT totaled, had minor body damage only.

We got a judge who was hungry and awarded the other guy's insurance company $12k. It must have been the new math that screwed me up because I thought when you pay off lien, $22k, sell the truck for salvage, $11k, and then get $5k from the insurance company that should only leave you with $6k out of pocket that you should have been able to sue for. Then fast forward September 2014 was not a good year for us vehicle wise. In that month, the front wheel of my son's car broke, sending him into a concrete barrier. His car was totaled according to the repair shop we used. While he was using my car to get back and forth to work, the rear drivers side cross member broke and sent him into a telephone pole. No damage done to the pole, just a couple of splinters broken loose.

When the insurance company moved to suspend my son's driver's license due to the judgment in the previous case, State Farm then decided that we were no longer fit to be their customers. 4 years and they dumped us as customers because of our "accidents". Trying to explain to them that there was only 1 "accident" (back in 2012) and 2 vehicle failures, fell upon deaf ears. When I got the notice that they were dropping us, I immediately went out and got other insurance... equal coverage at a better rate and dropped THEM a month early. Today was the kicker though, they called to sell me life insurance. No. NOT EVER.

They asked me how much was I paying with my previous current company at the time, and they told me that I would pay less.

After switching over to state farm two weeks later after they received my money, they jacked my rates up to over more than fifty dollars. I have not been treated fairly, It is a huge inconvenience, I am stressed beyond of fear of not being covered, I can't get anyone to talk to me or assist me with fixing this situation... Also I was told I could pay on the first of each month and then told I would have to make two full payments in one month because they were unable to prorate the nine days before the first of June since they started my policy on May 23. Amazingly Progressive allowed me to pay on the first and have my month be from the 23rd of one month to the 23rd of the next. Systems need to be updated to accommodate clients needs.

They found the smallest damage portion that claim to pay, and denied the rest. When I called State Farm to disagree their offer, they asked my father to send them the picture taken before the accident to proof the other damage on rear bumper were not there before the accident. Of course, we do not have the picture which took before accident. How many people will take picture for all the angle of their car before accident? I don't have any major complaints about this company, except when I had a theft claim they told me that I wasn't covered because my policy cancelled. I actually made my payment 2 days before the cancellation date, but because it takes a couple days to post it didn't seem like I had coverage. What I don't like is that this company doesn't have the resources to even check their system to see that a payment has been made. They kept me in limbo... After they could verify days later that I actually had insurance they tried to get me to pay a 100 deductible when my coverage was a 0.00 deductible. I had to dispute this also.

After 5 days waiting I had to pay my own claim and they reimbursed later. I also don't like that they force you to be on auto pay. If I choose to pay monthly I have to pay double the amount of insurance. They make you pay the month due and a month in advance. Some people cannot afford to pay 500.00 a month. Why should I have to pay a month in advance? What if I want to cancel them in a month's time? So I'm forced to be on auto pay and trying to get off of it or change my account is a nightmare.

I have been told to speak with other drivers insurance (I couldn't even get help with that). They kicked me out of rental even though I still had $800 left on my policy, told me to go back to rental co. and get a smaller car (even though there were none available). I don't get calls returned, my agent stopped talking to me and they debited a 6 month. new policy out of my account even though my car was a total loss 2 days prior.

I no longer had a vehicle but ever since April 17th, I've been told they can do this because "Well you had a rental". I had a rental for 18 days, how do you justify a 6 month premium??? I've never gotten a refund, and when I ask, they always have another excuse why I wont be getting one. To top it off, they sent me a check I cannot cash, listing my ex-husband's name on it even though the car has not been in his name for 5 years!!! They took my title, my car, my power of attorney and even had me sign a sold notice to MVD and I have NOTHING but a drained bank account and a useless check!!! THIS COMPANY SHOWS US COMMERCIALS ON CARING AND HELPING AND THIS IS HOW THEY REALLY TREAT THEIR CUSTOMERS!!! It's really sad... Imagine if I'd been at fault.

It took 12 days for my vehicle to be deemed totaled. I had to call the body shop to find that out. State Farm did not call me to inform me of that. When I finally reached someone this morning, I was told that I would have to snail mail a Power of Attorney over to a Parts shop in Lebanon, TN in order for State Farm to claim the title and pay off my lien. They also informed me that they would only be paying for my rental car for 4 more days and that it didn't matter whether they had provided me with my accident money yet or not. They said they went strictly by the minimum standards of the law. I can't finance another vehicle until the last lien comes off of my credit report AND I have the money due me from the accident to make a down payment with.

It is only fair, since their client was at fault, that they pay for my rental car until it is possible for me to finance another vehicle. The way State Farm is handling business is shameful and I will not hesitate to let others considering working with them regarding how unethical and slow they have been throughout this process.

They wrote up the total loss paperwork on May 13th, 2015 which is 22 days ago. It took them 4 business days to tow away our RV. I have called the claims dept. almost every day for the last 3 weeks to get them to make payment to our credit union so that we can finance another RV. They received the paperwork 2 days ago, but haven't had a chance to look at it until I begged asked today for them to review it and to make electronic payment today. I just checked my claim online and it says that a check has been issued. Great, now I can wait 2 weeks for them to mail it, and another weeks before it will be delivered.

I did not invite the mice into our RV but the emotional anguish for the last two months has been hell on my husband and I. To rub salt in the wound, the RV was stored right next to my son's travel trailer with him suffering the same mice infestation, the same State Farm total loss, BUT he received his check a month ago, and has gone camping twice. I verified this & informed I would pick up rental that day. I was told can't rent cars on Sundays... I ask why they say because my state local claims office isn't open. I didn't understand so I go through 2 more agents until one finally says that makes no sense. Got that resolved. Fast forward guy comes out, takes a look at the car, $700 in damage. They only paid $123 for a tow truck. There was no damage and they did not pay for anything other than the tow truck fee. How is this an accident? Unfortunately in Maryland insurance companies are allowed to do this. Just because they can does not mean they should!!! If I had any idea this could happen I would have just paid AAA for tow coverage.

I fought with them over this for months and lost the battle… But who won the war? Not them. I have had State Farm for several years with no claims. My wife and son were involved in an accident with another State Farm client where the other driver struck my wife in the middle of a right turn which required a wide swing. The other driver was listed as failure to maintain proper control on the police report, and the State Farm investigator did a thorough investigation and agreed with the police report. Our claims rep. **, who was very rude and impossible to get in contact with, took 2 weeks to process anything so we could get a rental. And the end outcome was called a 80/20 liability split. How one driver can T-bone another and not be 100% liable, I will never understand.

After research, I found that Sate Farm is notorious for the 80/20 liability split. By doing this they can raise both driver’s premiums and double dip on the higher rates revenue. When you get another quote to leave State Farm, the accident just shows up as an at fault accident. Which means you will appear to be 100% at fault to any other insurance companies. You have now been trapped to either stay with them or pay much higher premiums elsewhere. THIS IS A MONEY RACKET!!! I choose to pay more with a respectful company and will strongly encourage anyone I know to switch before this happened to them also.

I got rear ended on the freeway by an uninsured motorist on November 12th of 2014. The person who hit me has dementia and was driving his wife's car. I had/have full coverage under State Farm insurance. My husband took me to the emergency room. I refused to get an xray on my leg, because I didn't have health insurance and was worried about how much the bill would come out to. I had hip pain prior to the accident, but after the accident it aggravated my hip pain even more. I am now having pain when I walk. I did not receive treatment for it, because I don't have health insurance and I wasn't sure if my medical coverage under State Farm would cover it.

This is not the part that bothers me the most about State Farm. They did not take care of my bill from the nurse practitioner who treated me in the emergency room at Loma Linda. I had a hard time getting them to take care of my bill from the emergency room and from urgent care two months later. I had to call State Farm and Loma Linda to get them to send out the bill in the correct format. State Farm kept telling me that they would take care of the problem, but in the end it was me that had to take care of everything.

Why am I paying so much money for auto insurance, when they are not even able to take care of a single bill? I ended up paying for the nurse practitioner's bill out of my own pocket. It's been about three months since I paid that bill and State Farm did not offer to take care of it or try to take care of it at all. They just sent me a letter that they did not receive the proper code, and so they cannot take care of the bill. My auto insurance bill has increased since the accident. I initially had to pay around $60 more per month. It's gone down a little bit since then.

Why am I paying more, when all they are doing is taking my money and doing nothing to resolve my problems since the accident? I lost some of the strength in my left arm since the accident, had pain in my left leg, the seat belt digging into my hips aggravated my hip pain, I had a bruise around my left clavicle from the seat belt, I had numbness and tingling in my lower spine and neck pain. I missed a day of work. I get paid $425 a day at my current job. They called me and offered me a settlement of $1000. How will that make up for the pain that I have been having? I feel like I am going to have this pain for the rest of my life, and I don't understand how $1000.00 is going to make up for that. Would they feel that that amount of money would make up for a life time of pain if they were in my situation?

My car was paid off, and I had to buy a new car after the accident. I just spoke to the claims department today, and they said that they will add on $74.00, to cover the fee for the nurse practitioner, to the settlement that they are offering me. How is that going to make up for anything?

State Farm Insurance Murfreesboro, Tennessee will start deducting money from employees' paid check per State Farm survey. In 2014 Murfreesboro, Tennessee, State Farm Insurance Headquarters did a survey and decided that their employees were being paid more money than the national average. In the past this was a company who encourage the employees to get their licenses, etc. to exceed and climb corporate ladder. Starting August 2015 employees' paid checks will see the first deduction over the survey amounts.

Example: If the Level before survey paid 25,000.00 and then survey said it should be 20,000.00. There is a 5,000.00 difference. In 2015, 2,500.00 would be recalculated from pay check and employee would receive 22,500.00 per 2015. Then in 2016 the next 2,500.00 would be recalculated, leaving the employee making 20,000.00 per year instead of original 25,000.00 per year.

Is this illegal? It is mortally illegal. State Farm is not dealing fairly with their policy holders or customers, now they are targeting their employees. Is this just in Murfreesboro or is this nationwide? Time for an investigator reporter. How much did the survey cost? More or less than taking money from employees? Please do not say for employees to start looking for another job. How about State Farm doing the right thing and not take employees' hard earn money.

How would you feel if your company took money away from you that you had work hard to achieve for you and your family? How would you feel if you transfer from other state to the Murfreesboro location and now getting a pay decrease? I received a letter from corporate dated April 7th telling me what a great, loyal, on-time paying customer I am. The result was they are changing my liability insurance from fire and casualty to another in-house policy. My rates should stay the same or lower. Looking at my bill which arrived on the 15th I'm being charged extra for their scam policy change -- $218.00 broken down to $60.28 added in plus my premiums. I got mad.

Nobody wants to talk about this scam. They skate around it, tell you about your policy, not the scam extra charge! I've never had a accident or claim. I canceled both auto policies on the 16th of April. I have letters and emails stating I'm due premium refunds. Still no refunds! Avoid these thieves! I'm giving them 7 days from today and reporting them to my State Insurance Commission. I'm just glad I never had to use my overpriced insurance. Only positives were my agent and his employees were great people but that's not worth overpriced insurance!

VERY DISSATISFIED CUSTOMER. If there was a zero-star rating that would be more appropriate! I purchased State Farm insurance thinking they were one of the top-rated insurance companies - pffft what a joke. I may not have a brand-new car as the agent reminded me that my car is 15 years old, so I guess in their eyes that means I do not need to be treated fairly and with respect because of that, BUT THEY SURE DON'T MIND TAKING MY $ EVERY MONTH. My car looked nice before, this not perfect but in very good condition inside and out with MINIMAL NORMAL wear and tear.

I have time stamped pictures of the cat pee running down the front of the car last month and from November showing the car was not damaged then and the damage has occurred in the last few months like they were told. I offered to show the rude guy who inspected the car the pictures of the cat pee running down the hood of the car but he said they didn't need to see them, seemed important to me but obviously not to him/them. I agree that cat urine eating through paint is an odd thing to happen, but it happened to my car and I was told that the rude guy that assessed my car had said that it was NORMAL wear and tear and that I was lying about the damages.

I was told that cat FECES would not eat through the paint by the agent on the phone after they denied my claim, ALSO by a different agent who had left the message to call them back this morning. Hmmmm it WAS urine, NOT feces, but it's nice to know that they can't even get that right or know the difference. From what I have read online, this has happened to other people also and not so uncommon. My local agent said he had a friend (who was insured by State Farm) who had a NEW car that he had left the sunroof open and that cats had gotten inside and destroyed it, that they had covered the damages from that .

There are about 14 or more feral cats that live on this property and a lot of the time, they are camped out on my car after I return to the house for the warmth from driving the car or just to sunbathe on it. My car had been hand-washed the day before yesterday and I took it in to be assessed yesterday. It was already covered in cat paw prints again .

I have been treated VERY poorly in the situation and things were not handled fairly or properly for me through State Farm insurance company. I would not recommend purchasing their insurance to my worst enemy. I had a car that I was proud of having to having a car I am now embarrassed to drive. I am unable to upload the pictures of the damages because the pics are on my phone and will not sync with my computer, but I am more than happy to send them from my phone if needed.

After State Farm came and got my BMW 750Li it sat at the State Farm recommended repair shop from 4/18/15 til now, 5/14/15, and still isn't repaired. After being stuck with all kinds of rental car fee I decided to give State Farm a phone call, after talking to 5-6 different people about my car here on the 16th-17th day of my car just sitting. Now they call me to tell me, "It's a total loss but the work was already approved for repairs a week ago."
