    I have only had to use my insurance for my automobile once in the 15 years I have been with State Farm. I am happy with their low prices compared to other companies I have researched. However I do not have a lot of experience with their payout in case of an accident. At this point I am satisfied.

    They are always there to help. When mom got into her accident they took care of everything and in a very timely manner. When I bought my new car I called them, boom, within a few min proof was sent to car dealer.

    State Farm gives reduced rates for multiple insurances. The staff wherever I have lived have always been very friendly and gone out of their way to help. They also do not increase your insurance for one accident.

    I like their rates and service. I have a great agent that is very helpful and knows about my needs and sees that I am taken care of in the best way. I have gotten other quotes from other companies and I chose them for all the reasons listed above and will continue to keep them as my car insurance provided. It is close to my home and has a great website if I wish to go on it. I had AAA and they were terrible in their rates.. They quote was the best thing for me. It was something I could afford and could get help of all kinds from them at any time. That is, if I had any problems, which I have not had for the last 2 years.

    I was considered at fault for an accident where a driver rear-ended me at a red light and had my premium and rate raised. This is not fair, and I'm very angry because of this. I don't understand how the company came to the conclusion that it was my fault.

    The company has been steady as a rock. They handle inquiries timely and are good to deal with for many years. The agent isn't very helpful, so make sure you get one you enjoy. I am fortunate to not have had many claims, but the one I had was handled quickly.

    I don't like that they don't offer as many discounts to its members and other insurance companies offer better discounts and auto rates. When I tried asking for greater discounts for being a customer they said they can't offer me a better rate.

    I had an accident in which I total my car. My local office was fair in how they treated me but as I was reviewing my policy I found that only my wrecked car was showing as part of my policy. I called my local office to check on why my truck was not showing as part of my insurance premium and I was told that they had cancelled my policy for my truck because of an too many claims? I was not informed in writing or verbally that my policy was cancelled so my wife and I had been riding around with no insurance coverage on our truck!

    I do not know whether this is legal or not, but I find it to be very bad business to not inform my wife or I that they was canceling our insurance. I will never recommend State Farm to anyone and I recommend if you do have State Farm Insurance to find you another insurance carrier because they do not deal in good faith. Also believed that it is illegal not inform someone who was paying their premiums that they were canceling their insurance without warning.

    I have bean involved in an accident with a STATE FARM insured in September and after a month I have got no answer. The waiting time to talk to customer service is always over 30 minutes for you to hear that they are investigating... Don't be fouled by ads. STATE FARM IS NOT THERE FOR YOU!

    I have been a very happy customer of State Farm for over 35 years. In that time period I had one incident, while my vehicle was parked on my property, a tree fell on it from severe winds. I called the local agent on a Sunday and I was able to speak with a live local person. They assured me the damage was covered under my policy. I was able to have genuine replacement parts used to repair the extensive damage to the front of my truck. My rates did not increase due to the claim I made. I am very pleased with my local agent and the staff at the office!

    I greatly appreciate the helpfulness of my local agents, but my policy keeps going up although I haven't had an accident, etc. That frustrates me to no end. But my local agents are good folks. They have always been extraordinarily helpful and I am grateful for that. I went through a divorce, and they were wonderful in helping me separate out our policies. I'm not sure I could find better agents, but I wish I could find a more reasonable rate.

    Apparently loyalty is a one-way street with State Farm. I began with State Farm Auto Insurance 24 years and 3 months ago without lapse. Long story short: I had 2 very small fender benders and one single car accident in the snow over the course of a few years recently. The last time I had an accident (or even a speeding ticket) before that was 15-20 years back when I was a kid. I missed a couple of payments recently due to medical issues and being hospitalized. When I came out I was informed that it was 2 days past the point I could back-pay and keep my coverage. I had been dropped and they refused to even quote me for a new policy. Apparently I even had something called "guaranteed renewal" on my policy but that didn't help. They have made an already difficult situation much worse.

    I've only ever used State Farm and I've never had a problem with them. The one time I got in a little fender bender they were very helpful and understanding over the phone. Of course all auto insurance is rather pricey, but I get good coverage for the decent amount I pay.

    I have had them forever but have thought of looking elsewhere. I know that this carrier is a little more expensive but I have never had a problem getting things paid. Plan on looking around though. I just prefer a local agent because I like to go to the office and talk to a person face to face if I have a problem.

    Been with State Farm more than 20 years and have not had any problems. Insure 2 house and 1 car and have not been able to find a better rate. Always friendly and helpful. Made several claims throughout the years and have never been denied. When situations arise you'll have peace of mind knowing you have State Farm.

    I had the pleasure of working with Aaron while attempting to get car insurance. He made sure to take the time necessary to insure that I received the proper insurance at the best rate possible. After being given the run around by other agencies I had started to lose hope in actually finding insurance that fit my budget. I made the call with low expectations but was pleasantly surprised when Aaron listened to my needs and responded quickly and with results that were exactly what I had asked for. I had a time crunch of just a few days and a budget of less than $100. Aaron didn't hesitate or try to sell me anything extra. He answered all of my questions and gave me options at different price and insured levels.     I've been very happy with State Farm. They are very thorough and really tailor insurance to my needs. I feel like I'm a very important customer to them. This year my insurance went up and I'm paying an extra $120 a year. I didn't add anyone to my policy or get into an accident. So that price hike is why I didn't give them a 5 star rating. Otherwise I would have.

    I was quite happy with State Farm insurance for nearly fifteen years. I used them for all my cars and my house. Then they decided to drop us or raise our rates after one at-fault accident. We are still arguing this and our agent is being helpful but it's been frustrating to say the least.

    I found the rates at State Farm to continuously climb despite being a good driver with no incidences and automobiles that were older vehicles that did not need full coverage. The discounts that were offered were vague and difficult to obtain. The agents were pushy and rude trying to sell products that were not needed. One particular item the agents tried to sell me on over and over was to allow State Farm to refinance my existing car loan. Even after repeatedly saying I wasn't interested at least once a month someone would call and ask to quote me a new payment.

    I have never had to contact my insurance company. The only contact we have is that I pay them so I can legally drive my vehicle. There is nothing more to say. I only have insurance so I don't get a ticket for not having it.

    It's reasonable. They've helped in the insurance department. They have had their problems though by charging too much for the auto insurance and then had to rectify the situations. But either way they are my insurance company. We have multiline policy and that gives us a discount.

    I know the agent. They take care of our auto, home also kids insurance. I also have a couple of business and they provide insurance. They keep me up to date on all the financial products and even try to give good deal to my employees health insurance and retirement needs. They call and see how I am doing, send birthday, Christmas and all holiday cards... I always stopping by to see if I need something. When my store was robbed at gunpoint the agent came down to see what happened and if everyone was ok. Also when someone broke into the store he came down and see if we could cure the problem and we did with bars. So, it is nice knowing the agent.

    They have reasonable prices. I've never had to do an insurance claim but I have full coverage. I have had them for over 5 years now. I really can't complain about them. But I also can't really say anything extremely positive since I've never had to file a claim. Their website is fairly easy to use.

    I have had State Farm insurance since 1963 and have never got another estimate from another insurance company and am very happy with the same insurance agent since 1963. Many insurance companies have tried to get me to get a quote but why when I am perfectly happy with what I have.

    I have been with State Farm Ins. for over 50 years. I have and have had auto ins., home ins, renters ins., RV ins., and boat insurance. I have not had many claims, but they have been totally helpful and accommodating. The claims process has been very simple and the process time limited.     State farm use to be good at one time. I've been with them for 17 years and they are not committed to their customers. They will give you barely any coverage and want to charge you an arm and a leg. I moved from one state to another and had full coverage on my car in the prior state for 55 dollars a month. I move to another state and they want to give me only Bodily Injury and Medical payments for 62.00 dollars a month???? And then they wanted to bill me for two month, really people? Apparently they could not just transfer my info over and keep it all correct. Way disappointed.

    I was able to go with Geico and get comprehensive, emergency road side service and way better coverage for almost half what state farm wanted. Never again will I ever stay 17 almost 18 years committed to a agency like state farm who does not have any feelings of obligation to their long time clients. It's all money with State Farm. Go elsewhere, you will do better. Worst part is there is not even a Corporate Office anymore to complain to from what I'm informed.

    My home received hail damage from a storm this June. From the initial call to receiving the final payment everyone at State Farm was a pleasure to talk to. They informed of exactly how the process was going to proceed and followed that up by doing exactly what they said. Having to deal with customers during stressful situations in my work I truly appreciated how effortless they made the entire process for me. My last contact was with a gentleman by the name Of Bill ** in the claims department explaining how I should be receiving my next payment on the claim.     I know the names of the employees in the local branch where I have all my cars insured and home. When I call they know me and can get to the information requested and begin to work on my request.     I have used this company for over 40 years. During this time, I've filed several claims for auto window damage and homeowners (water damage from polybutylene pipes).     I've had State Farm for ten years, and have had to use them for claims for accidents that were my fault, and accidents that weren't. State Farm treated me like a human being, and took time to answer my questions and walk me through answers that I didn't understand or agree with. They explained all of my coverage, and even offered me benefits related to income loss, and rental car deductible payments that I didn't know I was paying for.

    They have excellent customer service and will assist you with any problem you may have with your policy and they will even see if they can go lower on your rates. They allow flexibility on your policy due date like if you may be a day or 2 late with payment they will make allowances if you have good driving record and a good payment history. They will also compare with other companies to see if they can get you the lowest possible rate.

    I really like State Farm. I have been involved in a couple of accident over the past few years. Neither were my fault, but State Farm stepped right up to help me get paid by the insurance companies of the people that ran into me. In addition, several years ago my husband was hit by an uninsured motorist. His vehicle was totaled. State Farm paid us in full for his vehicle. State Farm is friendly, fast, and great to work with. I highly recommend them.

    State Farm has been my company for many years. I have a great agent and can depend on this company to provide me with great service and always be around when needed. I have had claims before and got the best service from the adjusters, claim reps and quick payment for medical, car replacement and house claims were given the top priority and I was really impressed. I have been offered cheaper rates by other companies but when I researched them I found that they paid claims slowly and cut corners on those claims so I probably won't change companies until I die.

    So here is my experience with State Farm Insurance. I had a person that had State Farm Insurance hit a SUV that I own. It was parked on the street with nobody in the vehicle. The person driving the vehicle was obviously at fault so the claim went through State Farm. When the adjuster looked at the car I was told that they would not pay the $1,000 claim because my bumper already needed to be replaced. I was beside myself because to the best of my knowledge there was absolutely nothing wrong with my bumper.

    After looking at it there was a couple of small cracks on the other side where the bolts go in. I run a limousine service and we do not run junk. I did not even know they were there. I do know the huge dent was there after it was run into and needed to be replaced. In my opinion State Farm rip off artists. So the point is if your insurance company will not do the right thing you are going to get screwed. Now I have to go to the person that hit the SUV and threaten to sue them since the insurance company that they are paying for will not step up and do the right thing. Please do not give your money to this unethical company. If they do not back up claims they are stealing your money in my opinion!

    I have been with State Farm for over 20 years and carry full coverage on my car. I have an agent who works for State Farm Ins. Co. only. I had one minor accident a few years ago which was my fault. I was on vacation away from my home state. I called my agent as soon as the Police Report was filled out and advised him of the events as they had happened. He assured me that he would take care of everything as soon as the other party's ins. co. contacted him. My car was not damaged and my premiums did not go up. My windshield was cracked by a flying rock from a truck in front of me twice during different years.

    Both times repairs were made and my insurance completely covered the cost of repairs. My agent and his staff were courteous and answered any questions I had through the years to my satisfaction. I have always been kept up to date on any additions and/or changes made by the home office. Any calls I made when the office was closed were immediately returned when the office opened.

    This company is very helpful with your insurance needs. They take the time to listen to you then they ask questions to make sure they have all the information correct. Your insurance agent deals only with the State Farm company so they know all the in and outs of how this company handles their insurance policies.     I was looking for affordable insurance and Jessie told me that if I pay 359.00 for 3 months that after 3 month my payments will go down to 218.00 a month so I agreed. On the fourth month I received a bill for 311.65 so I called their office and asked to speak to a manager and they gave me the runaround.     I have been insured with State Farm ever since I got my driver's license almost 13 years ago. I have only needed to file a claim once, when I was broadsided by another vehicle. The ease of filing the claim and getting my medical expenses covered was great.     I had a minor accident in a rental car. Before renting I checked with my State Farm agent who assured me that my policy covers rental. Yet while renting in Florida I was advised by the car rental agent to purchase supplemental liability which I did. I reported properly the accident to State Farm and car rental. Had two conversations with State Farm claim office, reporting all the details including the fact that I purchased extra insurance. The State Farm claim agent suggested that the extra insurance will cover my deductible. On their request I emailed the car rental agreement and the accident report.

    Yesterday (8 days after I emailed documents; rental agreement and accident report) I received voice mail from State Farm to call them and to fax copy of the rental agreement. I called the given number, which turned to be wrong number since my case was evidently moved to other department which, as they explained deals with the car rentals. Eventually being bounced through two agents. I was connect to one who assured me that "the bus stops here!" And he said "I need extra information", "What was the date of the accident?" His question came after my two interviews with the State Farm claims agents and after he received the accident report (which I emailed). It sounds that he did not bother even to look at the file in his database. He admitted having accident report which certainly had the date of accident.

    Evidently the other document, rental agreement "was lost" even though I have sent two documents attached to the same email. Based on being bounced from department to department and on what I perceive as incompetence agents in the claim departments, I am very concerned that my case will be misrepresented by the State Farm as it negotiates compensation with the car rental agency. I have been with State Farm for many years, but not I have second thoughts. What has happened to "Being a good neighbor is not just a slogan.     Had State Farm for over a year. Bought my son a different car (4 door hatchback with a small non turbo 4 cylinder engine). Had been paying $75 a month for him and his car. Went online to pay my bill, $225 a month!!! Called my agent and they had no idea why. Our family has no ticket, no accidents, no claims. They claim it was a rate increase. Our car insurance was $250 last month. Now it's $489!? How do they stay in business? By ripping people off. Warn your friends and family. Shop around. There are better companies out there.

    They provided adequate car insurance. Covered all accidents, but price kept going up and up and there were other companies much lower so we switched. They gave some good benefits for my daughter when she first started driving to lower her initial cost.

    Pretty good. The beginning was rough but the guy turned out alright. I'm glad we were able to come to a fair price for my vehicle and get me insured right away. Thank you for allowing me to post this!! At the end it became a hassle and the guy didn't want to help me anymore. He began to mess my payments up and then they would go up and way up.

    My experience with State Farm has been a great one. They are truly the greatest neighbors you can find. They are much cheaper and more effective than other insurance companies. 2 tickets I received this year were cleared by them. Like a true neighbor, State Farm is there. I watch commercials.     I never ever had an issue with them, even when I forgot to pay my bill one time, they let it slide. They're giving me a great rate, thanks to the fact that when I got my first car when still in high school, I was added on with my parents' service, but even now on my own policy, it's still very cheap!

    They are one of the cheapest auto insurance in my location. The problem is if there is a problem. They are hard to contact. They are not on your side. They try to milk the most money from their customers. They don't have good customer service with private emails and make fun of you. State Farm is rarely there and they are rarely on your side.

    When I bought my first new car, as 1968 began, I also changed insurance companies. I got much more coverage at a lower price when I made the switch, and I've stuck with State Farm since. I never have any problems with them, and they give quick, efficient, friendly service.

    They have been pretty good. The only time I really had a problem with State Farm was when they told us our life insurance plan was no longer offered and tried to convince us to get one with less coverage that cost more money. The other thing I don't like is they make you do direct withdrawal. You should be able to write a check every month like any other bill. We've never had to make a claim and they find ways to give us a bit of grief every once in a while. Overall though I'll stick with State Farm.

    State Farm has a wide range of insurance to bundle with your car insurance which can help keep monthly costs down. They also always let me know when I'm eligible for another discount. I have been with them for eight years (3 vehicles later) and never have had a complaint. They handle claims diligently. Maybe more expensive than some others but in a fair price range and the customer service makes it worth it. Don't foresee switching insurance companies.

    Agent very helpful in get all discount for my policy. And very great for teen driving. Its offer very affordable for teen than other company. Offer variety of services, like banking, home, life insurance. But if you buy German car of like that rate can go up high coz they said part to replace to be expensive. Some other company can be lower coz they count on safety features on vehicles. That's disappointed for me.

    GEICO has been VERY helpful. I switched from AAA to GEICO and they helped me through the whole process from start to finish. It's very user-friendly and we do every online if necessary. If I ever need anything they have a 24-hour phone number I can call, ask my questions and get answers.

    Day to day dealings have been great and questions are answered quickly. However, I have filed 2 claims and the ease of the process was easy at first. Meaning filing the claim was easy, however, trying to get answers about certain parts of the claim have been more challenging. Though I like State Farm, I am considering switching back to my previous insurance company for the ease of claims and having certain features automatically covered.

    I was paying through the nose for car insurance. One day I received a call from a State Farm agent who offered me the same coverage for $96.00 a month. I jumped on it and before we were done she added Renters insurance. I don't know how she got my name and telephone number and I don't care. The price is right and the service is outstanding. They are very easy to work with and so helpful. Best change I ever made!!

    Worst company ever. I got hit by a car, guy who did it tried to leave the scene of the accident and give me cash to not call the cops, but I called them anyway. He then lied to State Farm that I hit him and left the scene of the accident. WHY WOULD I CALL THE COPS AFTER I WAS HIT AND THEN LEAVE THE SCENE OF THE ACCIDENT? I know why, because I didn't--he was lying. There was a police report. I have footage as well from my phone. State Farm didn't even bother to call me to listen to my side of the story, which was the truth. Without even talking to me, they found in HIS favor and TOTALLY SCREWED OVER A VICTIM OF A CAR ACCIDENT. VERY rude and uncaring on the phone. Do not go with them, they do not have anyone's interest in mind except their own!!! Rude in particular: Lynn and Cindy from Team C.

    State Farm is available 24/7. The agents always available and make sure your questions are answered. My local agent is very friendly, helpful, make it about me and if something changes or is about to change he lets me know right away. I get discounts for being a safe driver, that's a bonus in my book. I wouldn't pick any other insurance. I even have home owners insurance and that is also discounted.

    The agent that I used for many years closed his office, and I was assigned to a new agent. I use them for both my car and condo contents policy; which few insurance provide now in Florida. I like the monthly payment plan option; however, the rates continue to climb with little or no explanation. I would consider another insurance company with lower rates if I could get a monthly payment plan and coverage for my car and home.

    State Farm has always tracked me down or finds me so that I pay my premiums which I have no problem paying. And I've been with them now for 36 years and I'm ready to walk away. 23 years ago I had two auto accidents and every time I had to call claims, there was a problem. But because the other driver in both accidents were at fault I ended up retaining an attorney who told me bottomline to stay away from State Farm Claims. Since I've been with State Farm my entire driving life of 36 and always paid my premiums on time and in full and now that my van has been stolen and a claim was submitted and the van recovered, I've been asked stupid questions like the tow yard was asking me for proof of insurance and registration. "Excuse me but the van was stolen and the proof of insurance and registration is in the van and you have the van. Just go and get it out of the van".

    The claims adjuster has never called me but when I called in and spoke with him he copped an attitude. "Well you know what if it wasn't for people like me you wouldn't have a job". Meanwhile, the adjust, the agent and the receptionist do not communicate well with each other or me and the agent and receptionist are both in the same building separated by a wall and they don't speak to each other on the claim.

    They've been saying "Jump" and I've been saying "How high?" and they don't do what they say they're going to do which is never call me about key to the van when they need to. And they are supposed to call me on my cell and they call on my landline so I can't always deal with the problem on the same day. I'm so ready to walk away but I have over $2000 a year in discounts with them. But I called around for quotes. Most places want $153 for just auto insurance when I have auto insurance and renters insurance for $120 a month. Yet I don't plan on staying with them or at least I don't want to.

    State Farm was able to get me the car insurance I needed without the high cost. The agent I spoke with was very helpful and cooperative, and I now have sufficient insurance to cover my needs without anything extra or unnecessary. I have had no issues with contacting my agent and the process for getting a quote and purchasing a policy was headache-free! Fortunately, I have not had reason to file a claim, but I am sure that when I do, it will be an easy process with clear communication between my agent and I.

    State Farm has been a good insurance company since I haven't been in any wrecks or filed any claims. However, they are very expensive for not filing any claims and I will soon be switching. They continue to go up on premiums for no reason and I want to go with a company that rewards for no accidents or claims. I think that having a good defensive safe driving record should be rewarded with something other than going up on premiums for no reason.

    We have been with State Farm for about a year now for our auto insurance. We received notice that our policy was not going to renewed due to too many claims. We've had three claims in one year so let's look at those. In October of 2014, while sitting at a red light, an individual turned into my car. He accepted full responsibility from the start. In April 2015, while stopped at a red light, a drunk driver barreled into the guy behind me going at least 45 mph. Sadly, he carried state minimum insurance at $10k. In August, my only at fault accident, was when my husband backed into a car in a parking lot. Minor damage. According to State Farm that is too many claims and they will cut you regardless of fault. I will make sure to never recommend State Farm to anyone and I will publicize their shady policies everywhere. Goodbye State Farm. You suck!
