My only complaint is it took soo long! I was forced to live on the streets multiple nights with my little boy because of the delay. A big portion of this was the fire department's delay. But I felt like I should've been made abominations because of this.

I appreciate the timely response to my claim. My girlfriend and I had our E-Bikes stolen from our locked garage; they were also chained. I did my part to take care of my stuff. Never have I had to make a claim for help and thank Lemonade for responding generously. I was told there is a possibility my premium may be increased. And I was also told Lemonade makes donations to causes in need with excess money they make. I suppose I don’t understand completely. I’ll be taking heightened attempts to secure my belongings and will pray for those who feel the need to steal in hopes they become righteous.

After living in a house for 30 years, I recently moved to an apartment. I had to have renters insurance so I shopped around. Lemonade got strong reviews and had great prices - and they offered pet insurance! I got both. As things happen, my apartment flooded and my cat got sick within just a few months. Claims were easy and straightforward. Once approved, it was in the bank account like a flash. Glad I went with Lemonade!

I was a loyal customer for nearly 4 years. When my apartment burned down, I thought it's ok. I have lemonade coverage. At first we were given $1000, which was helpful. But then, when the inspector finally came to look at the place, she said she didn't have time to inventory everything. She said she would need us to come back. Three weeks later, we still hadn't heard anything. We go to the apartment to discover we were robbed of nearly everything. I literally had to cry to my claims adjuster because we had been waiting and now nothing was left to inventory. We had found a place but couldn't move in because we didn't have enough cash. Finally we were given our funds. I understand you have to verify what was stolen, but when a place burns down, and then is hit by a week long ice storm, making a family wait for 3 weeks is ridiculous.

We were very upset to discover water damage in our rental in Los Angeles. The work was going to require us to move out off our rental house for over a month with our two children under 2 years old. Moving around with kids can be difficult especially if you don’t know where or how you're going to cover the costs. Thalia from Lemonade was our claims agent and assured us that our Loss of Use coverage should be able to cover the cost of temporarily relocating. All we did was submit our AirBnB receipts and after they contacted our landlord that was all they needed from us. It was so easy that it made the stress of the whole ordeal much less pointed.

Lemonade made it easy there great I was very pleased with the way I was treated. My vehicle was broken into a few days before Xmas & every gift I had purchased the kids & tore up the back part of my truck, I was so hurt by this. I was already in the mix of getting over a terrible terrible housing situation where I had taken my landlord to court so at the time this had happened to me I was already fighting 3 months.
I’m going to tell u a little bit more, my Finace & our 2 grand boys & myself was living in hotels for 3 months Using the library restrooms when we did choose to go home & stay over night just because we’d missed our beds. DISASTER & By me having RENTERS INSURANCE’ LEMONADE Put a Water damage Claim in & Came right in & helped my family & I get out of that Terrible terrible situation so im blessed to have Lemonade Insurance. Our stuff was stolen, I had to drop a class, a month and a half behind in rent and my daughter's first birthday around the corner.... I began to lose hope.... and my ** sanity! I was assigned Nathan and he was communicative and prompt the ENTIRE time. It was also very straightforward. When you have all your paperwork, receipts and reports, it makes their job easier! I had to be out of my apartment for a couple days while a leak in my apartment was fixed. My claim for loss of use was easy and quick. I had my claim approved within a few days and the process was super simple. I was very happy with the service and the outcome of my claim.

I am an "old-school" consumer - suspicious of all online promises - "2 good 2 be true" convenience and so-called "competitive" pricing. I love Lemonade - the app has a simple and attractive UI, quotes were straight-forward and their pricing was actually competitive (they also offer bundles), and I had access to live humans when needed. I had a nightmare incident which caused me to file a claim and Adam went above and beyond to walk me through the process - which wasn't an easy task given my stress level. Thanks to Adam and his team for their professionalism and kindness during a tough time.

It's the first time I've had this kind of experience in my life. I had only heard that lightning would ruin the TV, but I had no idea it would happen to me. Me and my husband were shocked. I was absolutely devastated when I returned home from my son's high school graduation & my front door was open. I went inside & slowly noticed small things missing from my home. When I was done doing a full inventory of all the things that were taken I contacted the team at Lemonade on the Lemonade app. It was so simple to file my claim. I was a nervous because a lot of the stuff I didn't have receipts for but it was no problem. It literally took me 5 minutes to file my claim & my claim was approved in less than a minute. So, I've had Lemonade renter's insurance for several years now, at least since 2018 or even 2015 anyway. It's moved with me from apartment to storage facility to new apartment. Throughout this time I have NEVER had to file any claims. Actually I've never had to file a claim in my 23 years of being a renter. Now, on the 12th of May, the water heater burst in my apartment that had just moved into about a month prior. I was at work and water had just poured out onto my floor, leaving everything in about 3" of water. My ENTIRE apartment was a lake. I was devastated because I hadn't even gotten completely unpacked yet and much of my belongings were soaked by water and ruined. Once I got my claim submitted though, I had nothing left to do and received payment to my account the next day. EASIEST insurance company I've EVER dealed with. I can't wait for them to get auto in my area because I'm switching to them for that ASAP. Wonderful!!!

My bicycle was stolen from my apartment bike room, and Lemonade approved my claim within a day. What’s more, they approved the replacement value which is significantly higher than what I paid a few years ago due to the bike shortage, so I can actually afford to replace my bike right now with no out of pocket loss. Lauren, my claims agent, was extremely quick in responding and answering questions. Excellent service! Initially I was slightly worried about not going with a mainstream insurance company but Lemonade’s service has put all doubts out of my mind.

I was new to Renter's insurance as this was my first apartment. My mom said I should have it and recommended Lemonade as it is all online. I did not think I needed it as my apartment is on the third floor with a solid wood door and a good deadbolt with no access to windows but my mom said it was also for liability and insurance in case of fire. So I got it and less than 2 weeks later, a person that I had trusted ripped me off while I was sleeping and as he was leaving smashed my TV and Playstation. Lemonade was very professional and checked everything out and paid out my claim less my $500 deductible. I am very happy with Lemonade and highly recommend them. I think I have also learned that you can't trust everyone and I am more careful of who I invite into my home.

I've heard horror stories about dealing with insurance claims and I was very skeptical about Lemonade's low price, but they were so quick and diligent that it actually took me longer to collect the necessary claim information than it took for them to act on it. I took a month and a half to get it all in. It took them a working day to approve my claim. With insurance, you pay for peace of mind, but Lemonade actually delivered whereas most insurance companies do not.

My storage unit at my apartment building got broken into and roughly $8700.00 worth of items were stolen. My Lemonade policy covers theft up to $10,000.00. The items were all my tools to perform my job (I work construction). Lemonade told me because the items are tools and considered “business” they would only cover $2500.00. The tools were my personal tools bought by me, not by a business/company but that didn’t seem to matter. Asked to speak to a supervisor and was basically told “You’re screwed, there’s no way we can help you or else we would have to go back and reopen every single claim that’s been filed under this loop hole”.
I’m an honest person who works hard for everything I have, yet honesty about the items that were stolen screwed me in the end. Long story short, Insurance companies are snakes and will do/say anything to screw over the clients they represent just to make a buck. I’ve had lemonade for years and have never filed anything, but now that I seriously need them because my job is on the line without these tools they could care less.

I’ve had a renter’s policy for my apartment several years now across three apartments and two cities. It has always been an easy and straightforward process, with any help being provided either through fast human responses or the automated Maya system. Additionally, there are great articles online describing terms of the policies.
While no one ever hopes to need insurance, I was so happy with the process when it came to replacing my damaged bike (for which I had extra coverage). I filed the claim, and Nathan handled it expeditiously with a very friendly demeanor - he gave me a call to talk through the process, and sent fast follow-ups with a quick turnaround to an approval.

I was a victim of digital fraud and although I couldn’t recover all of my funds, they were pretty fast about responding to my claim and approving my claim within 3 day for a smaller amount due to the policy having limits. Jacob was fast and efficient as well as sympathetic of my situation. I appreciate jacob's help. I will continue to use Lemonade as my renters insurance.

I filed a flood claim on 11/24/20. I didn’t receive final payment on my claims until 4/2/21, only after going back and forth with Lemonade about my rug and having professionals they contracted with verify my rug was ruined. They tried to get out of paying for my vintage rug. I had to provide original purchase receipts for every item that was damaged in my apartment. The process for claiming each item was meticulous and could only be done through the app. This was a waste of time. Others I spoke to who have had a flood received payment within two weeks after their claim, but they all have State Farm insurance. I am required to have Lemonade because of the agreement they have with my management company. Otherwise I would not use Lemonade.

I filed a claim due to water damage because of a septic sewer backup. I don't have the order number, but you guys paid for us to be in a hotel for a good while when repairs were being made to our house. We were only about three or four months into having a policy with you guys and then I got an email stating that Lemonade no longer wants to insure us and wouldn't tell me why. So as of November or October of last year you guys dropped us from being a policyholder. I'm assuming this happened because you guys were only charging us $22 a month for our renters insurance, but Lemonade ended up paying out a little over $9,000 for a claim and I guess being that the company didn't make any money from off of us, you guys decided to not insure us anymore. Honestly, that's kind of wrong and we had no clue that was going to happen and initially, we weren't going to use the renter's insurance until it was brought to our attention by our property management company.

I had a claim when my tools were stolen from my work truck. Lemonade, and Alyssa specifically were very helpful, fast responses, clear instructions, and fair resolution, even though it had been a couple years since I had purchased them and had no receipts. The payout was fair, I wasn’t expecting any to be honest, but it will help me pay for the expensive replacements of my tools, and the deposit was within 24 hours to my account. Overall a great experience, and I may purchase coverage in other areas, and I would recommend Lemonade to friends, for at least renter’s insurance for now.

I’ve been with Lemonade for around 6 years and they will always have my business. Had to file a claim because my neighbor flooded my apartment and the complex wouldn’t do anything but run a couple fans. Lemonade put us up in a hotel and fed us while that was all going on. When I initiated my claim with Lemonade, I went in to it with the attitude that it was a regular insurance company. Needless to say I was grumpy and expected to have to fight for every penny. These feelings were validated when after not being able to get in contact with my Lemonade Rep, they stalled my claim, and eventually switched me to a new Rep. In comes Devan, the new rep. I came at her with that validated resentment feeling I was now carrying. It didn't matter to her. She just calmly explained how everything worked, and assisted me through the process. If my first experience was with Devan, this would be a 5 star review. Ultimately, 57 days after initiating the claim, I received my maximum claim amount and was able to build my house and possession back from the ground up. Thank you. :)

I bought and paid for a one year policy, up front, for renters insurance. Because my credit card was lost and replaced with a new number, after they had already received a year payment, they cancelled my policy because I refused to give them another credit card. I had already paid so why did they need another credit card on file? I still have not received my refund. They are stupid and crooks.

Miss Anya's work was excellent, I would say she was very professional, very communicative, she explained in detail the steps so that I could be reimbursed for my theft and even showed her videos that a neighbor of mine was also robbed, unfortunately he does not have insurance. I recommended Lemonade, I hope and he will take it, but the case is that he recommended that I communicate with the investigator who has my case so that he could see the videos. In short, I have a lot to tell. It was very very pleasant to establish communication with Miss Anya, but my loss of the robbery was unfortunate. I had water from the ceiling leak in my closet destroying my partner's and my belongings. Filing a claim was seamless through the app and I was able to take photos. The app did not give me an option to take videos of what happened. What I ended up doing was upload photos and videos onto a Google Drive folder and linked it to an email in response to the representative working on my claim. I'm fortunate that there were no hassles with the ability to access photos and videos through a drive because the files were too large to send via email.

I dreaded filing a claim thinking it would be like every other insurance claim where they hassle and give you less because they can but that was not the case here. This was a really great decision! I really didn't expect much from Lemonade. Now I am grateful I chose them because now I trust them!!

My car was entered by someone who took almost everything from the car. I had a shopping cart which must have been used to facilitate the theft. They cleaned my glove compartment, took personal items from the passenger storage, stole my golf clubs, 2 pool cues, and various items of which I have no inventory. I listed the major items that were easy to recall and when I contacted Lemonade they instructed how to proceed. I got the Police Report and listed the items. Within a short period, Lemonade gave compensation so I can replace my major items. They kept me abreast of the process and I never felt they didn't care. I have been with Lemonade four years and when I needed them, they came through.

My wife's phone was stolen at the airport in Dubai. I filed a claim with Lemonade. The experience was quick and smooth, very user friendly--much more so than with traditional carriers. While most of it is automated, there is also an option to communicate via email with the customer service team, who always respond within a few minutes to a couple hours. My claim was reviewed fairly, and ultimately approved. I think this was my first positive experience with an insurance carrier. I highly recommend it!

Dexter has been handling my claim and he’s been just wonderful! He’s understanding, compassionate, and kind through this difficult time. This is my first time filing a claim on my own without the help of my parents, and he made sure I understood what was going on. Easy to file a claim on the app. Erin from Lemonade immediately followed up and was very communicative. She reached out to the police department while I was waiting for a report to be mailed and verified the info on the phone! Can’t thank Erin and Lemonade enough. While I was going through a super stressful time, John from Lemonade made the process so much easier and it went very smoothly. I was able to send along pictures of my damaged contents and an inspector was sent to check everything out. From there, the process was so easy.

I was screwed over every way possible. First I got no help at all with my repairs I had to make. I got no help with my hotel stays and I clearly couldn't live in my home anymore so I should of received $ to offset my not being able to stay in my home. I also didn't get any kind of compensation at all to help in my time of need.. I lost close to 6000 because I had insurance. I am very dissatisfied with the help I received. No one ever called me. No one really did anything for me. I had to keep on it and for what? Nothing really. Like I said I lost because I had Lemonade. On top of being advised of being a liar and a cheat forgot about all that. Still waiting for you guys to apologize for that and get me my money you still owe. Cuz I turned in everything that was asked of me and now they I've done that I still didn't get any help. Lemonade is a big ** joke.

I got 2 bikes stolen from the back of my truck at my apartment. I was really upset and they were pretty expensive. After filing a police report, I was told by police to call my insurance company and check coverage. Omg....They were awesome, supportive, and amazingly fast to help with the claim.

I was a victim of carjacking/theft. After reaching out to Lemonade rental insurance and submitting a claim Cassidy followed up with me and explained the process. Although I am still very disturbed by what happen to me Cassidy gave me the comfort of knowing that she had empathy about the situation and showed kindness every step of the way. She kept me up to date on my claim status and when the claim was approved she explain to me the amount I was approved and what deductions were taken (deductible and tax). I am grateful for Cassidy and I appreciate Lemonade helping me in being able to repurchase some of my items back.

Garbage company, that only cares about their bottom dollar, talking about "we hope this never happens but if it does we will put you in a nice hotel, and give you living expenses to get you back on your feet". They began by telling me my reimbursements were based on a weekly budget. I asked if they could do monthly as our displacement occurred at the end of the month. They stated no, they do weekly. Now they say it's based on a monthly budget. So which one is it? They had stated I would not be able to get an advance on my Coverage D but then stated in an email, all my weekly reimbursements were advances. They manipulate you to think you will be covered just to pull the rug from under you. They use the term miswording when you catch them in their lies.
For something that's supposed to protect you and your ASSets, they sure just knock you on your ass. They say you have the right to live at your normal way of living, but do everything to ensure you don't. We have been knocked on our ass, but instead of them doing their job, they kick you while you're down. I have more emails and phone calls that justify all this and will pursue justice any way possible. You guys are wrong for this, and can assure I'm not the only one.

My experience with Lemonade was nothing shy of amazing! The customer service was A 1, the claims agent was A1! Well I submitted my incident online. It was simple, I type what went wrong, they sent a quick link on the spot requesting video footage of the flood! They had a claims agent call me within 24 hours, the agent Brett asked if I was okay, was I displaced due to the flood if I needed a hotel (that is all covered in my policy). I stated I was fine. We went over the incident… He processed my claim without any kick back! I have not received my money yet but it’s due within 3-5 days so essentially everything was taken care of in 6 days! Amazingly good service!!!

Thank you for helping me. I was robbed and lost about 4K worth of items and all of my legal documents. Lemonade covered the cost of all my tech that I lost. I had a terrible experience and canceled my insurance several months later after I realized I was still being charged monthly for renters insurance at a property that had burned down and I no longer lived at. My "customer advocate" wouldn't return my calls and only a couple of my emails eventually. I couldn't get any help until I finally got on Twitter to contact Lemonade. It took months after we lost Everything in our home to get help, and I still have never been given any information about what happened to cause the fire. I paid renters insurance for years to a company that couldn't be bothered to help me when I actually needed it.
