I bought and paid for a one year policy, up front, for renters insurance. Because my credit card was lost and replaced with a new number, after they had already received a year payment, they cancelled my policy because I refused to give them another credit card. I had already paid so why did they need another credit card on file? I still have not received my refund. They are stupid and crooks.

When I had a small fire at apartment in September of 2021 Lemonade (Specifically John from the Claims Team) was great to work with! They took away the stress of having to worry about how I was going to pay to get our fire-damaged deck repaired and made the claims process understandable for a first timer. Knowing the reputation of having to deal with insurance companies in general, I was relieved that Lemonade made this horrible life experience so easy and painless to get through.

Stephanie was my initial agent and then Sarah took over in her absence and closed out my claim. Once all information was received from myself and my property manager - the process was pretty quick. Sarah answered all questions and addressed my concerns immediately. She was great!

My experience with Lemonade and my claims specialist Carly was great. Unfortunately, events can occur which can leave you feeling disappointed and uprooted however I can honestly say I felt like I was in the best care with the Lemonade team! Erin was amazing, I have used Lemonade before for pet insurance and found it very easy to navigate and efficient. When we had to use our renter's insurance for liability, they took a potentially stressful process and made it easy. Communication was easy, clear and the follow-ups were appreciated. Never felt like were trying to find loopholes to not pay us, as with many other insurance companies.

I only have experience dealing with car insurance companies so take this as you want, however, recently I, unfortunately, had to use my renter's insurance after being the victim of property theft and I was surprised at how easy it was to submit a claim with Lemonade. Within minutes I was taken care of... I honestly almost couldn't believe it!

My apartment was flooded from the tenant above me which caused me to file a claim for damages to my belongings. The process for filing the claim was really simple and easy to navigate. I submitted all required documentation and was approved for my claim within 2 weeks.

Julia's attention was excellent but the waiting times are very long. I don't know if the system had errors that prevented my claim from being verified earlier, but it took more than 6 months to process my case. So in general I can give the company 3 stars because even if it was delayed, they kept their word and covered part of the payment in the clinic where my mother was treated.

So at first I just want to say, everyone on the Lemonade team are such team players and professional. The quick response is what made me feel so much More at ease, especially being alone in a crisis and feel all alone Thank you so much Lemonade! I was upset about my daughter's bike stolen from my apartment. While I was discussing this with leasing office, they suggested that, "You should approach to your rental insurance folks. You will at least get something." I called customer care where it seemed possible to claim. Claim process using app was really easy, provided as much as information I had and finally after due diligence by Lemonade team, I could get my claim. Super easy.. I am relieved.

My experience with Lemonade was AWESOME! Jon was great to work with and he always explained everything plain and direct. It was always easy to know when he needed something from me. I give Lemonade and Jon a well earned 10 out of 10!! I am very happy to have them handling my Renter's, Insurance.

The Lemonade team made the claim process extremely easy. I received prompt and detailed responses. They informed me upfront about the limits to my claim and they approved my claim quickly after the necessary information was submitted. Overall, they made a difficult circumstance easy to deal with.

Eliana and Lemonade were so great and easy to work with after a flood in my apartment caused by water back up. I was able to start my claim as the damage was occurring and they walked me through the whole process through to claims. I was a long time renter but first time using Lemonade in my new apartment and so glad I did.

Miss Anya's work was excellent, I would say she was very professional, very communicative, she explained in detail the steps so that I could be reimbursed for my theft and even showed her videos that a neighbor of mine was also robbed, unfortunately he does not have insurance. I recommended Lemonade, I hope and he will take it, but the case is that he recommended that I communicate with the investigator who has my case so that he could see the videos. In short, I have a lot to tell. It was very very pleasant to establish communication with Miss Anya, but my loss of the robbery was unfortunate. I will continue to recommend Lemonade to my neighbors because the truth is that in this area lately they are stealing a lot and having Lemonade is one that is backed up and I am sure that they respond to us, thank you Miss Anya.

This was my first time ever needing to use my renters insurance so it was a pretty intimidating process for me. However my agent, Thalia G, was really great at answering all of my questions and reassuring me throughout the process. I wish there was more follow up throughout it on Lemonade’s end (I had to reach out several times to check in) but other than that it was a super easy experience.

I had water from the ceiling leak in my closet destroying my partner's and my belongings. Filing a claim was seamless through the app and I was able to take photos. The app did not give me an option to take videos of what happened. What I ended up doing was upload photos and videos onto a Google Drive folder and linked it to an email in response to the representative working on my claim. I'm fortunate that there were no hassles with the ability to access photos and videos through a drive because the files were too large to send via email.

I was dreading dealing with insurance and filing a claim for valuables on top of mentally dealing with a burglary I had to experience. Having all of the information on hand made filing a claim easier. However, I was shockingly surprised at how fast and easy it was to do so including getting it approved. The app itself and the digital customer service was definitely a 5 star for me.

Lemonade was efficient and they quickly got me approved. It was a big relief after a very stressful week. I can't imagine how much more stressful it would have been to use another service that's on some confusing website that I would have to navigate myself.

I was hesitant to use them for insurance! But after the experience I just had they will be my car insurance home insurance when I get one and whatever other insurance I need! I pay 14 dollars a month for renters insurance never expecting to use it so I figured why not go cheap here! Well let me tell you it was a great decision! Cheap here doesn't mean low quality of service. It just speaks to the amount you have to pay for excellent customer service!! 10/10 recommend this company for all your insurance needs! I dreaded filing a claim thinking it would be like every other insurance claim where they hassle and give you less because they can but that was not the case here. This was a really great decision! I really didn't expect much from Lemonade. Now I am grateful I chose them because now I trust them!!

Understanding.. And amp to get my claim settled, in spite of the apartment delays in getting the information needed, thanks, Brett.. Even when I needed clarity about some documentation. It wasn’t an issue to get the understanding resolved. Understanding clears all misunderstandings.

My car was entered by someone who took almost everything from the car. I had a shopping cart which must have been used to facilitate the theft. They cleaned my glove compartment, took personal items from the passenger storage, stole my golf clubs, 2 pool cues, and various items of which I have no inventory. I listed the major items that were easy to recall and when I contacted Lemonade they instructed how to proceed. I got the Police Report and listed the items. Within a short period, Lemonade gave compensation so I can replace my major items. They kept me abreast of the process and I never felt they didn't care. I have been with Lemonade four years and when I needed them, they came through.

My wife's phone was stolen at the airport in Dubai. I filed a claim with Lemonade. The experience was quick and smooth, very user friendly--much more so than with traditional carriers. While most of it is automated, there is also an option to communicate via email with the customer service team, who always respond within a few minutes to a couple hours. My claim was reviewed fairly, and ultimately approved. I think this was my first positive experience with an insurance carrier. I highly recommend it!

All of my laundry got stolen from my car! From getting information about my policy to my claim being handled, everyone I dealt with at Lemonade was very helpful. My claim was processed and paid within a week. This is my first time having to make a claim and the process was painless & easy.

Easy to file a claim on the app. Erin from Lemonade immediately followed up and was very communicative. She reached out to the police department while I was waiting for a report to be mailed and verified the info on the phone! Can’t thank Erin and Lemonade enough. Having my wedding ring stolen sucked, but Lemonade made making an insurance claim easy! Can’t recommend them enough.

While I was going through a super stressful time, John from Lemonade made the process so much easier and it went very smoothly. I was able to send along pictures of my damaged contents and an inspector was sent to check everything out. From there, the process was so easy.

I was screwed over every way possible. First I got no help at all with my repairs I had to make. I got no help with my hotel stays and I clearly couldn't live in my home anymore so I should of received $ to offset my not being able to stay in my home. I also didn't get any kind of compensation at all to help in my time of need.. I lost close to 6000 because I had insurance. I am very dissatisfied with the help I received. No one ever called me. No one really did anything for me. I had to keep on it and for what? Nothing really. Like I said I lost because I had Lemonade. On top of being advised of being a liar and a cheat forgot about all that. Still waiting for you guys to apologize for that and get me my money you still owe. Cuz I turned in everything that was asked of me and now they I've done that I still didn't get any help. Lemonade is a big ** joke.

I was a victim of carjacking/theft. After reaching out to Lemonade rental insurance and submitting a claim Cassidy followed up with me and explained the process. Although I am still very disturbed by what happen to me Cassidy gave me the comfort of knowing that she had empathy about the situation and showed kindness every step of the way. She kept me up to date on my claim status and when the claim was approved she explain to me the amount I was approved and what deductions were taken (deductible and tax). The process was about as easy as you can get I think for an insurance claim. Took less than a week and the money is already in my account! Adam was very responsive and walked me through process and answered any questions I had.

Garbage company, that only cares about their bottom dollar, talking about "we hope this never happens but if it does we will put you in a nice hotel, and give you living expenses to get you back on your feet". They began by telling me my reimbursements were based on a weekly budget. I asked if they could do monthly as our displacement occurred at the end of the month. They stated no, they do weekly. Now they say it's based on a monthly budget. So which one is it? They had stated I would not be able to get an advance on my Coverage D but then stated in an email, all my weekly reimbursements were advances. They manipulate you to think you will be covered just to pull the rug from under you. They use the term miswording when you catch them in their lies.

4-24-22 I came home at 2 am from picking up my wife at work. When I got home my air conditioning unit started leaking water. Started spilling all over the floors ruining my table. Clothing and personal items. I quickly contacted Lemonade and John ** helped me with my documentation and having my claim file smoothly.

My experience with Lemonade was nothing shy of amazing! The customer service was A 1, the claims agent was A1! Well I submitted my incident online. It was simple, I type what went wrong, they sent a quick link on the spot requesting video footage of the flood! They had a claims agent call me within 24 hours, the agent Brett asked if I was okay, was I displaced due to the flood if I needed a hotel (that is all covered in my policy). I stated I was fine. We went over the incident… He processed my claim without any kick back! I have not received my money yet but it’s due within 3-5 days so essentially everything was taken care of in 6 days! Amazingly good service!!!

Thank you for helping me. I was robbed and lost about 4K worth of items and all of my legal documents. Lemonade covered the cost of all my tech that I lost. I had a terrible experience and canceled my insurance several months later after I realized I was still being charged monthly for renters insurance at a property that had burned down and I no longer lived at. My "customer advocate" wouldn't return my calls and only a couple of my emails eventually. I couldn't get any help until I finally got on Twitter to contact Lemonade. It took months after we lost Everything in our home to get help, and I still have never been given any information about what happened to cause the fire. I paid renters insurance for years to a company that couldn't be bothered to help me when I actually needed it.

The apartment complex my husband and I have lived in for 4+ years (and are moving out of in 2 weeks) has experienced some of the worst crime I have ever experienced at any apartment either of us have ever lived at. But this isn't a review about how horrible our apartment complex is - it's about how Lemonade was able to make things better when life really decided to hurl a lemon right at our faces. Despite the property's complete lack of cooperation with both the authorities and the Lemonade team after my husband's super expensive bike was stolen, the Lemonade team (specifically Kailey **) was incredibly responsive to all of our emails, diligent in following up with both the local police department and our apartment's management team (which was NOT a pleasant or easy task for Kailey or us), and understanding when it got difficult to navigate the process.

Ricardo was an active listener. He was able to reexplain the process and assist me in gathering a better understanding. When incidents occur it was difficult to focus and he was able walk me through the process. He reminded me for the details of my policy and explained how the policy worked. I appreciate his kindness.

I had an apartment fire due to a lack of maintenance on my chimney. A neighbor alerted me to smoke and flames coming out my chimney and I had to hurry to get my loved ones out. I know absolutely nothing about Renters Insurance so they had to hold my hand a lot through this process but my questions were answered respectfully and thoroughly! There was a slight delay in some communications but overall 10/10 experience with Lemonade on my first ever claim!

Julia stuck with this long process for 6+ months and kept on our former broker to get him to sign off on the release. She was patient, kind, and was always was very responsive. I can't thank her enough for all she did for us!

I had valuable stuff stolen from me and my Lemonade renters insurance really made a sour situation bittersweet. Seconds after making a claim it was approved and the funds appeared in my account the next morning. I'm in shock because I figured I would have to wait a few days, be interrogated by some claim rep and put up a fight to receive the service I'm paying for but nope. Only thing that would make this better is if they found my stolen stuff but at least I don't have added stress and time lost that we're so accustomed to with other types of insurance. I made my mom get this insurance so I guess I highly recommend it.

I just had him remove it from the claim. Now I’m left to buy another sofa. I will find another renters insurance company. It’s not worth it at all.

I thought this company was legit at first. But since filing an insurance claim I've been avoided, run around, switched reps. Every time I speak to them when I'm told one is handling claim, another is assigned the next time. Adjuster made appointment with me and left me waiting at apt for over 2 hours and never contacted me to say she wasn't coming. The negligent apts we lived in that caused all our stuff to be ruined told Lemonade that there was no damage, when almost everything was destroyed or stolen while we were gone, due to flooding. It's been months now and I'm just ignored in spite of fact I was told claim was approved.

I don't have one nice thing to say about Nekeyma honestly, except after much badgering and calling 1-2 a day for 6-7 weeks I finally got my full claim amount, probably because management wanted to get it resolved as to not obliterate KPIs. I really do blame his inability to craft a legible and professional email and inconsistency in follow ups for a lot of stress in my life. He also has no idea what he is doing. I wish Abbey or someone more knowledgeable could have handled my claim, she was great. It's clear that because of my low rates and value of goods that I was put with a VERY junior person who lacked basic customer service skills that you get at any service oriented business. The vendors, like ALE, that I was placed with were 1 million miles better.

No one came to look at my unit. No one sent me a check. Now one replaced my things. No one contacted Me.
