I believe due to the latest lawsuit which cost Kaiser Permanente millions of dollars due to fraudulent conducting unnecessary tests. Is why they doubled their copays for procedures needed.. Compared to Humana and other senior plans. Been with Kaiser for 8 years. And definitely will be changing

Worst hospital. They do not help with specific chronic health conditions and won’t send you out either. Patents are left to suffer.

I would give a no star for Kaiser, the abuse we have been thru, I left, in fear of drs, now 3 surgeries saved my life on another plan. I was dying. They laughed at me, zubcof, screaming, and 16 years of torture I thought was normal. They will never be in my life, where I am at now, is fast, caring, a blessing. Drs are doing 1 by 1. Let's say I need colonoscopy, no wait for next month, it goes on and on. They will get their money back that they owed in billions of dollars, watch out. Poor staff is pushed to pull people in and out fast.

I write this review within the context of the American healthcare system, which is a mess. I always try to keep that in mind when discussing healthcare providers. I came over to KP from the Provident system, which I found exacerbating and expensive. And that’s about the nicest thing I can say. The Kaiser system is not too hard to navigate and communication with providers works pretty well. It’s sort of one-stop shopping and that works for me, but wait times for appointments can be ridiculous. However, once you get through to the actual healthcare, you’ll find that the people are exceptional. From primary care to urgent care and the specialists, even the admin people, I always leave my interactions feeling like these people were talking to ME, not just the next guy on the list. They listen and respond like they actually care. I feel that they lay out the situation and the options in a professional manner, but one that a layperson can understand.

I’ve never felt pressured into a procedure, something I experienced at Provident. After appointments or procedures, you get a summary and the caregivers’ notes, a feature I really appreciate. To sum up, the overall health system is badly in need of reform, but KP does better than most in delivering. The wait times for appointments is frustrating but neither better nor worse than other providers. But really, it’s the people of Kaiser Permanente that make it exceptional. They are why you go there.

Kaiser the worst health insurance ever, I had a problem in my kidney for years, never follow up, Actually Dr always denies it's my kidney. It give me so many health problems for years. After too many exams lab test etc through 5 years... Finally Kaiser will give me treatment but still denied the problem is the kidney, will be on April after Easter week, 2026.

On Easter day (Sunday) I was feeling so sick I when to ER and I told the doctor than it was my kidney than give me a lot health and he can give me something for nausea and dizziness....my BP was 170/89. I told him than he can check in my Kaiser chard/app to check all the test lately my doctor did and the recently on February 15, 2026, "Chest CT scan, Stomach CT, lab test, X rays, hearth monitor as well heart test", and you will see than the only problem I have is my kidney, you don't need to do any test, he didn't care he ordered the same exams, I advised him that he will not find anything wrong only my kidney but he said everything can change .... Funny 🤣 after a while he back to me said the good news you didn't have cancer or anything bad...*really? Doctors on Kaiser steal your money is an organization than you are the money machine....so don't let them to take your money 🤑 he didn't recommend or prescribe me nothing .... Such a ladron!

      Reviewed April 2, 2026

On 18 March 2026 at 7:58 a.m. and 7:59 a.m., I sent secure messages to two of my treating physicians—Dr. **, and Dr. **—requesting updated Verification of Treatment (VOT) letters in support of my Reasonable Accommodation recertification. This was not a new request; both physicians have provided these documents for me in the past.

Dr. ** returned his completed and signed VOT the same morning at 8:34 a.m. However, I am still awaiting the completed VOT from Dr. **. I followed up again on 20 March at 9:27 a.m., and Dr. ** responded at 4:37 p.m., stating that he had forwarded the request to Medical Records and would review and sign once processed. I thanked him and noted that the process appeared inconsistent, as Dr. ** had completed his form within the hour.

On 23 March at 4:36 p.m., I received a KP.org message from “Your Healthcare Team” indicating that HIMS had received my request but required additional information. They asked me to complete a Patient Information Sheet and resubmit all documents. On 24 March at 7:04 a.m., I sent the VOT, Patient Information Sheet, and Kaiser Medical Release Form back to Dr. **. By this point, I had already begun calling Membership Services, HIMS, and multiple departments seeking assistance. Several representatives informed me that the physician could sign the VOT directly, but Dr. ** continued to route the request to HIMS.

On 25 March at 1:13 p.m., I received another message from “Your Healthcare Team” confirming receipt of my request. At 1:31 p.m., I again messaged Dr. ** requesting his signature on the attached VOT. He did not respond and has not responded since. As of today, I still do not have a signed document from him, despite multiple attempts on 18, 20, 23, 24, and 25 March. Throughout this process, I spoke with numerous Kaiser representatives, including Jasmine (Membership Services) on 24 March at 7:38 a.m., Charles on 30 March, Ms. ** on 31 March at 7:16 a.m., Merna on 31 March at 7:36 a.m., and Mr. ** on 31 March at 8:03 a.m. I also spoke with a supervisor, Mr. **, who involved a nurse and stated that the request had been forwarded to Dr. **, the covering physician during Dr. **'s leave.

I was told she would sign the VOT, but that did not occur. Follow‑up calls to Mr. ** went to voicemail, and he has not returned my message. On 1 April 2026, I went in person to the Kaiser Medical Records department. The staff member informed me that Dr. ** declined to sign the VOT and that I would need to wait until Dr. ** returns on 15 April. This experience has caused significant stress and anxiety. As a federal employee with the Department of Defense, timely completion of this documentation is essential. Instead of receiving support, I encountered repeated delays, miscommunication, and lack of follow‑through. This location already holds a D‑ rating with the Better Business Bureau, and based on my experience, I understand why. Kaiser has failed to provide the level of care and responsiveness expected, and Dr. **'s handling of this matter has created unnecessary hardship.

If you like jumping through hoops to get your medical needs addressed this is the place for you. Waiting 4 weeks and counting simply to see a chiropractor under my insurance. Firstly jumping through hoops justify the need, which is ridiculous, but then waiting for a decision on the matter only to find out that the decision was made based upon incorrect information. Everything was within KP so how there is a disconnect as to the facts of the matter blows my mind.

Neither the hospital system nor the insurance known as Kaiser Permanente should continue to exist. They are irresponsible, inadequately trained, and supremely interested in making money over patient care. Never, ever become their patient, and advise those you love to get as far away from them as quickly as possible.
