I already had a Viking oven so I wanted the appliances to match. I like the way the refrigerator looks and so far, the quality is good. The people I dealt with in sales didn’t have all the information I needed but they were fine. It was just because I had researched it and I knew a lot more about the fridge than they did. That aside, I would advise others to make sure their measurements are right when looking into Viking refrigerators.

We bought a home and we could afford to remodel. We did our due diligence and shopped around. We went to some higher-end appliance stores and at the end of the day, we thought that the Viking refrigerator would fit our budget. We liked it and Viking had a reputation. We had a couple of hurdles that we had to clear to get everything delivered. But Viking was really great. The dealer was an online outfit but they were responsive. We got our stuff and it was good. The quality of the refrigerator is really good too. We like how it works and how it performs. We're happy customers.

We wanted to redo our kitchen and we’ve known Viking for years. My husband wanted them and Viking was the only one who had the French Oven Doors which I wanted. I have used the oven, the refrigerator, the microwave and the ice maker. Our other refrigerator was so deep that you were constantly digging for stuff. The Viking ref is less deep, tall and I can see what’s there when I open the door. We bought it in Best Buy since we live in Hawaii and we were very limited on where we could go for certain things. It did not go well because it took us four hours to order when we already had all the model numbers. They worked with us but it wasn’t a pleasant experience. Nevertheless, we've been really pleased with what we've got and we’re happy.

We moved in our brand-new house in November around Thanksgiving and the Viking refrigerator was in it. I've never had it working since Day One. In less than a year, I have lost everything twice in there. The ice and water dispenser have not worked and part of the problem was there was no local repairman. I went online and found the only authorized repairman in the state but he happened to be two hours away. I talked to him and he was nice enough but he was gonna charge an arm and a leg to come up here. He tried to talk me through it and gave me some instructions. It got better at least but it has been infuriating and I don’t know how to get it resolved other than to get the guy from Laurel to come and see about it.

When we moved into this house, it already had Viking appliances in it and nothing else would fit. The lady who lived in this house before told me not to get Viking products, but we had to go with Viking and we were stuck with them because of the way that the house was designed. With Viking per se, there has been no problem with the quality of their products and the way that we've been treated, but our experience with the distributor has not been good. Our experience with the whole process of getting the specific appliances that we needed and getting them installed has been anything but good.

We got all the products that we purchased, except one. Although it has been a few months since we made our purchase, we are still waiting for one of the products to be shipped. We were told by Milcarsky's Appliance Centre that we were going to get the exhaust fan that would be put above the range and this was approved by the Viking vice president for this region. But whenever we called Milcarsky's, they were always telling us that they were still waiting for the mounting bracket and I don’t know how long that would take. So, our experience with the delivery was not good.

It also took us an extreme amount of time to get our Viking refrigerator installed and it was a very difficult installation. Then, after the installation, we had to make a service call because the fan in the freezer was not working and there was a lot of water collecting. The people who installed the ref didn’t know how to put it in and if we had not made that service call, something would have happened to the freezer. Nevertheless, our Viking appliances have been working well so far, but they're very new and it’s too soon to tell if they will last.

We got the dishwasher, the microwave, the fridge, the stove, and the stove top from Viking. We got it all, so it all matches and we liked all the appliances. We checked all the warranties and we also took out an extended warranty on the refrigerator. Viking is making the refrigerators here in the United States, which may help prevent some of the breakdowns that we read online. The dealer was great and he knew the product very well. However, my wife's complaining because the refrigerator doesn't look like it makes enough ice. We had somebody come out there, but I would have to have someone else come out.

When we had the Viking installed, the guys from Best Buy were supposed to install and make sure it was put in right. However, the cabinet wasn't quite done. When they came back out, they wouldn't mount the fridge in and they had no tools to do it either. They left the fridge there, and I had to mount it myself. But overall, our experience with Viking was fine. They called and they came out, and all the appliances work. I would recommend them.

The construction manager who helped us through the renovation recommended Viking and I was familiar with the company itself. As a profession, I have dealt with them professionally for hotels and restaurants. I knew the brand and the quality has been very good. However, I have issues with the dishwasher because it takes two hours to do what a normal one does. Also, the keyboard is not customer-friendly. There are a lot of buttons to push and usually, it takes a while for it to get to the program it needs to be washed. On the other hand, I love the refrigerator, oven and microwave. I wish the ice maker is larger but everything I have is good and I just have to master using the dish machine. The Viking dealer did a great job. They walked me through, helped me to get a credit line and delivered when they said they were gonna do it, so I was very pleased with them I appreciate everything Viking has done and I will recommend them to friends.

My house already had a couple of other Viking things. I was matching them, and I purchased a Viking refrigerator. I love it. Viking is known for the ovens, which are stainless steel and really sturdy. It can take a beating whereas I gotta be a little more careful with the fridge. I have three kids and if you have a kid, they should come with a handy man. These kids slam up around and they pull on doors too hard, and break stuff left and right. Stuff should really take a beating and be able to take a beating. We got the fridge four years ago. So it's a good product.

My Viking fridge looks great, and it matches. So, overall, it gives value to the kitchen in the house. I am happy with the purchase. It's not expensive, which is why I'm glad. I don't mind paying more, if you call them and they're really responsive like they were when something happened to it. An internal fan conked out, I called the retailers but they were not too helpful. When I called Viking, they were really helpful. So, if there will be an issue again, I would call Viking direct.

We like the quality and commercial grade of Viking products. Recently we had some of their products installed. Their sales associate was phenomenal and communicated with us. However, the delivery was a little scary. I don't think they were really prepared or maybe they were not that experienced. The process seemed like trial-and-error more instead of them acting like they have done things before. Still, we've felt that what we got is well built. Currently, we have a problem with a door and a drawer which are issues right from delivery that haven't been resolved. Nevertheless, I'm sure they will be.

We bought a new house and Viking appliances came with it. One of those appliances was a refrigerator and I've found that the layout and functioning bit of it has been fine. It's of good quality and it has nice hardy doors. However, I have two issues with the freezer that will make me not wanna buy that product again. First, when I open up the door at the bottom where the ice maker slides out, the whole drawer comes out with it because of the magnets at the front. If the icebox is full, the little metal arm thing that comes down knocks all the ice off. Ice goes all over the floor and the back of the freezer and that's a major pain. We have hardwood floors and so when the ice falls on it, we can't feel like we can just leave it.

Another issue I have is that when the pump turns on to pump water into the ice machine. It’s super loud, like really loud. You can hear it across the whole house. While we can tell it’s filling, all the other pumps we've ever had for other houses that we've owned have been super quiet. We couldn't even hear the water running. I will not buy that particular model again because of these two issues. Nevertheless, the freezer keeps things cold and it works really well. I think it’s a good quality product but the ice maker and water pump are poorly designed.

When selecting our refrigerator, we went on Viking's reputation. Also, my husband's in interior design and that was also part of the reason why we chose Viking as opposed to a GE product, which we have at another house. However, we are a little disappointed with Viking. We’ve had the refrigerator for less than a year and all this stuff started happening right around a month’s time. We were having problems with the ice maker and when I called Viking repair service, they put in a service call. Somebody came out but didn’t really do anything other than change the ice maker. He said that it should be working within 24 hours but it still is not. They came for a second service call after that.

The contractor's follow-up was not up to what I think Viking would expect from their name though. I've had to follow up twice with the service repair people to find out what was going on with my refrigerator. They have been telling me that they needed to order another ice maker and a different part but based on the recent weather in the Southeast, it was being delayed.

There are also other things that I have to have the repair person look at. We have a bottom refrigerator and the door clicks every time we hold the door open. Other than that, I had received a part that is supposed to be on one of the doors so that you can have butter or whatever else you want to use in a climate-controlled environment. But it doesn’t fit in there and nobody that I’ve called at Viking has been able to give me an answer on how to have it fit. But other than that, we like the refrigerator, me probably more so than my husband.

I like the reputation of Viking. I purchased a refrigerator-freezer from them but then it came without the leveling package at the bottom. Furthermore, it doesn't make ice and it makes a weird “boing” noise when I open the freezer door. Also, the door on the freezer got scratched when the men came to put my cabinets in. That’s being replaced under the 90-day cosmetic warranty. But in the meantime, I asked them to put the grill on the front of the refrigerator down at the bottom. However, the guy who was installing the cabinet said that he couldn't because my leveling package isn't there. Their techs are coming out to put it in, and that’s gonna be quite an ordeal ‘cause it’s gonna take three men to stand it on its side and put it the leveling package. Also, I'm not happy with this issue because I’m gonna have to sign a waiver telling them I won’t sue them if my floor gets damaged.

Furthermore, the people who are dealing with the warranty issue regarding the door and the leveling package kept asking me who delivered my refrigerator. So, the people who delivered it to me knew that the leveling package wasn't there and didn't say a word to me. I wouldn't have known had I not had cabinets built around the refrigerator. Nevertheless, the refrigerator-freezer works very well, except with not making ice.

I prefer Viking and I love the way it is. It’s tall and I love the LED lights. At this moment though, there’s a sound like something is hitting on top of it. It sounds really weird and it drives me crazy at night because it’s really loud. I wanted someone to help me fix it but I’m unable to find someone. I called Viking and they can’t help me. They said that if I have a warranty with the dealer, Best Buy, I would be able to get that warranty with them instead of Viking. I got the factory warranty and I pay for an extra warranty from Best Buy but at the time I asked for the factory warranty, they said that they are unable to help me because the warranty was expired. Other than that, the Viking ref has been working great.

My beautiful Viking refrigerator with freezer on the bottom was not quite three years old when the freezer section starting to build up ice to the point where I could not open the freezer door. Luckily it was still under warranty and the repairman installed a heater probe kit to keep ice from forming. Not quite one year later the problem occurred again. The repairman came and repaired it. Now we are 35 days later and the problem has occurred again. Viking’s solution is to install a new heater kit. That’s a total of three times in 14 months. I asked Viking if they could help with this latest service charge but they said ‘no’ because it is no longer under warranty. I think if people are having this problem repeatedly they should either find a remedy or replace the refrigerators. I think Viking should stick to ranges.

I've always heard that Viking Refrigerators were top-of-the-line. I looked at brands like Samsung but they were kinda new in the market and we preferred going with someone who has been doing it for a while. We have never really gone top-of-the-top but we were doing a remodel. We went to Pacific Sales and it was very good. We started looking at top quality versus the standard ones that they offered and decided we could spend a little more money. The dishwasher was thrown in for free so, that made it a no-brainer. I called in to get everything registered and the gal who answered the phone was great. She helped me because we had to add some zeros to the model number. She was really good because she gave me a heads up when I was doing the refrigerator and hadn’t done the stove. Calling in to get the service was very good too.

The layout of the refrigerator was really good as well as the warning system. We liked the shelves and the door. We can pull up the grids on the burners of the stove, take the burners out and there’s a little shelf that you can pull out. It’s great and makes it so much easier to clean the stove. It's also easier to cook and I don’t have to worry about the surface top getting dirty. Also, switching to gas from electric made a huge difference. We heard the oven was good quality, but unfortunately, we used it once and the igniter was not working. So, we're waiting for the part and we want to use it.

I went to a place called Ferguson which is like a home builder showroom and I looked at all the different refrigerators. I liked the interior of Viking the most, and the way it looked and the way that it was organized inside very much. That was the deal that sold it. However, when the refrigerator was delivered, they must have dropped it which caused a series of things to go wrong with it. It was replaced right away and we’ve had the one that we have now for two months. It’s working fantastic. I love the layout and the drawers for the meat, cheese and vegetables. It’s so easy to use and I also like the door where you can put a variety of things.

The first time, I talked to the dealer when I registered my product and the second time, since I had an account already, I logged on to that account and registered the second one. We dealt with a third party that was the repair person for Viking and they were very good. They came in from Austin to work on ours. We have the dishwasher too which was a bonus when we bought our refrigerator. I didn’t care for it at all at first because it was very different from an American dishwasher where it dries everything completely because it’s eco-friendly but I understand now how it works. So, I'm really enjoying that too and I love it.

We purchased high end appliances for several years for the different homes and construction projects that we’ve had. And though we haven’t purchased a Viking product before, it was always under consideration. We have a Canadian log home and the people that built it had put those contractor grade appliances in, and we wanted to replace them with high end appliances. We decided to go with Viking Professional. This was the first time we’ve purchased a Viking and they had this thing where I could buy a refrigerator and get a dishwasher. However, if we had to do it over again, I don’t think we would purchase the Viking because it's not as good a quality as the Thermador that we’ve had or the Sub-Zero.

I’ve got a column Thermador refrigerator and freezer in our other home and the seal on it is phenomenal. If I shut it and I reopen it right away, I can hardly even open it. The seal is so good. I also have a Frigidaire and sometimes I have a hard time opening it too. The seal is so good as well. The seal on the Viking unit, on the other hand, is not that good. When I opened it today, there was condensation on the outside of it and I had to wipe it off. We didn’t even have our air conditioning on and it was only 77 degrees outside. I do like the lower freezer but for a high end unit, I find that a little disconcerting. I think I needed a service call. There is something wrong and this is brand new. It’s even noisier than my Thermador. My Viking unit is the built-in type but I haven’t gotten the cabinet built around it yet, so I was hoping the unit would be quieter once the cabinet is built.

We bought a Viking Refrigerator, a Viking built-in oven, a Viking microwave and the dishwasher. And I already had to call about the dishwasher because the bottom rack broke. It’s noisy and the top doesn’t glide in and out very well. A Viking representative came out and he said that is pretty much the way the Viking dishwashers work. Every one of them, you have to push really hard to get that top rack in. But my Thermador is not like that, so I would not recommend Viking. I hate to say that because I was really excited about it. When I run my Thermador dishwasher, I never know it’s on. But when I run my Viking dishwasher, I can hear it running. We paid a lot of money for it and I’m not happy with it at all.

We bought the top-line Viking refrigerator as well as Viking oven and microwave through Best Buy, and Best Buy has been horrible. The communication around the third party that Best Buy uses for installation has all been really poor, and getting my appliances installed was the worst thing ever. First, the built-in $9,000-refrigerator was installed incorrectly. The installers failed to put a kickplate on the bottom of this refrigerator and they probably threw it away. So we had to have someone come out and that took a while. We’re easygoing people and we’re not that tough to deal with. However, I bought that refrigerator in early June and to this day, I don't have the kickplate yet, so that has been frustrating.

Best Buy has a customer service troubleshooter that was assigned to us. That person was really nice but has been lousy on follow-up so we called and left messages. When I finally got a hold of Best Buy’s case manager, he said that Best Buy was told that the manufacturer did not have the kickplate in stock. So I told them that I was gonna call Viking, which I should have done early on. When I called, I spoke with their customer service person who was great and a really nice lady too. I asked her about the kickplate that is missing and she said they had them in stock, which was what I anticipated the whole time. We haven't heard anything back yet, but a company is supposed to call us. Still, Viking is a premium brand and they have been responsive to us and the experience with them has been great.

I purchased a Viking refrigerator on a scratch and dent auction at a pretty good deal. They did not promise any warranty and I’m in Iowa so there are no resources for people to look at it. The refrigerator performs very well and it keeps everything cold. However, I dislike that it is very difficult to move around as it is 48-inch wide. We installed it ourselves and it was difficult to do it. It was a big process but we are happy now that it is in. Viking is still based in the United States so, there is very much of the hometown feel connection and I’m still working with someone local. Also, they have invested in hiring people and they are paying Americans to do a job. I appreciated that and it makes me feel like I'm coming home when I'm talking to them.

When I called to follow up and ask questions about the cabinet being built, the technical support was very good. But the person at the parts department was not. I've worked with him a few different times and he didn’t have technical knowledge of his job. He was very demeaning too. When we were talking about parts I needed to order, I got transferred back to technical then back. I got transferred back again when the numbers were not right. If they could combine their knowledge of the technical with the parts department, it would create a much better and efficient process.

The refrigerator's quality is okay, but I would not purchase one again. It’s not cooling. They said that there was some sort of a heating element that has gone out. It causes the freezer to completely freeze up and stop cooling the refrigerator and the freezer itself. So it stopped making ice. We have to take a hair dryer to defrost the entire inside of the freezer. So that way we can get it to start working again. We haven’t got the part back yet and I don’t know how long it will take.

I called Viking but there was not enough repair people from them so I had to wait a week and all my food went bad both times.

When we bought the house, we had a Viking refrigerator, a hood and a dishwasher. When we had to replace the refrigerator, we got another Viking because it would fit in to the space in the cabinetry. We bought it from an outlet store where they receive overstock, stuff that people ordered and didn’t like it or something that had been discontinued. Our new unit is working fine and if that’s the type of refrigeration unit you wanna build in, it's a fine unit. But they're expensive and I would advise others to shop around.

Viking is one of the two companies that had the refrigerator in the size and color that I needed. Their dealer told me about the Viking buy one, get one free deal when I first went in to look at the refrigerator there, but I didn’t buy the refrigerator right then because I was shopping around. But I called back and ordered the refrigerator and they didn’t ask me which other appliance I would like and I assumed that it was like a rebate type of thing where I could choose later so I didn’t ask. Then I found out after I had gotten the refrigerator delivered that they and I had both dropped the ball on that. Other than that, my ref comes in a black enamel color which is very unusual for appliances these days so I didn’t need to replace all my appliances when I replaced my refrigerator and it was the number one thing that I wanted.

We have had Viking for the past 12 years. I chose to buy Viking because I love to cook and I love the way you can cook and the refrigeration and the ovens work. This refrigeration we have has improved a lot from the one that we had before. My favorite thing about it is that the fruits last a little bit longer than a regular refrigerator and that the door works better because it’s make out of solid material. But I’ve been having a lot of trouble taking the stickers out of the inside of the refrigerator. I had tried everything and I still have two and a half stickers that I haven’t been able to take away. Also, it's a little expensive but I will highly recommend Viking.

We chose Viking over Sub-Zero and Thermador because of the look. We bought a pretty cool one. It’s a cobalt blue color and the fridge is fine overall. But the ice maker didn’t work originally. It took somebody to finally come out and fix it. There was an issue with the light in the freezer too. It went off for no reason and then it came back on for no reason. But the dishwasher was really upsetting. It came with the fridge as a free giveaway but it didn’t work.

I called Viking and complained about it. But two of the people that they had wouldn’t come out for over three weeks. After calling again, we were able to get somebody to come out relatively soon, within a week. They looked at all the units that needed fixing but they wouldn’t replace the dishwasher. They really didn’t stand by it. They said everything was working according to how it was supposed to be. But when we opened up the dishwasher, the dishes were soaking wet and cold. It never ran the detergent either. When you open up the dishwasher after full cycle, the detergent would still be physically in the door. If that's how it was meant to be, then that’s stupid. Why did they even make it? At the end of the day, we had to buy another brand even though it came for free. To get a decent dishwasher was another 900 bucks plus I had to go through the whole rigmarole of getting one.

We bought a stovetop from them too but I had to buy a separate propane conversion kit. For the price that you pay, the little orifices that you attach to change the way the fuel comes in should just come with the unit. You shouldn’t have to go and buy a separate kit. It wasn’t terribly expensive but it was silly for them not to give that with the brand-new unit. It was a little confusing too. I got a plumber to come out but they couldn’t get it to work. I had to get a Viking technician to come out.

The freezer part on our Viking was working fine but the refrigerator part has got a sensor that is not working and we’re having our third service call on it today. We’ve only lived in this house for a month. Viking’s customer service has been okay but they are in Mississippi and it is another one of these 30-minute phone calls. The service people are actually not Viking employees. They are a contracted company and they have been very good. They diagnosed it the first time, had to order a part, put it in and it is still doing it, so they are coming back today to see if they can fix it. I got the impression from the service people that there was a known problem with this fridge because when they called, they said that their tech support people knew what it was right off the bat. So Viking might have a problem they need to fix. Viking is suboptimal.

We had a Viking refrigerator for 15 years and it was built-in. It was good until it conked out. We had to go with the same refrigerator because we happen to have certain size constrictions. I called Viking because we needed a specific size and I was checking on all the measurements on the 48-inch. The gal told me that it should all work out as far as the fit because we didn't want it to get here and not have it fit in its space. I also asked about the pricing so that I knew I wasn't going to be ripped off. The new refrigerator is updated and it seems to have a better seal. There's also supposed to be a thing inside where we never have to clean it. I'd like my refrigerator to last longer than 15 years because it's expensive. That's like 1,000 a year when you add it up and I don't wanna have to pay that for a refrigerator. They said that the new one supposedly is gonna be lasting longer. I'm hoping that's true and so far, it seems to be fine.

Somebody who was an appliance specialist that I had worked with in the past arranged the purchase for me then I had it installed. Unfortunately, the hose underneath it connected to the solenoid leaked and I had some kind of serious floor damage on my wood floor. I left a fan on for three weeks and it finally started to come down a little bit, but I still have something wavy on it. It was quite disappointing because you spend so much money on something like that and you expect it to be perfect. But when I told Viking that I needed someone urgently because the refrigerator was leaking, they sent somebody immediately and that guy got out there that same day which was great. So overall, my experience with Viking was very good and hopefully, the refrigerator will live up to its reputation.

Everything gets slushy, especially beverages. It almost makes the top shelf unusable and I have to move all beverages to the bottom. I can only store limited stuff up there, otherwise, it’s gonna freeze over. They should at least have a cover on there. Also, they should extend the warranty.

We had an authorized repairman come twice and they told us it was probably a clogged drain line. We got really tired of stepping into huge piles of water on our floor every few weeks and starting to damage our hardwood floors.

After the 2nd repairman visit told us it probably wasn't going to get better we finally just got a new Kenmore fridge last week. Now we have an old Viking fridge sitting in our hall and I'm wondering if we try to sell it on Craigslist at a deep discount as it's a bit of a lemon. The Viking refrigerator is well-lit and well-designed. The only criticism I have is that when we open up the bottom drawer and let the icebox fill up to the top, as we pull out that drawer that has the icebox, the little metal piece that you flip up and down to turn off or on the icemaker very often grabs a roll of ice cube, shoots them into the back of the refrigerator, and they come flying out underneath the freezer compartment. If I was 30 years old picking up the cubes it wouldn’t bother me as much, but I'm 70 years old and having to lean over and pick up the ice cubes when they fly across the floor is not something I'm enjoying. What we've been doing is once the icebox is filled, we flip the metal bar up and we leave it off until the box is fairly empty and then put it back up again. I don’t think it has to do with a malfunction and that they could fix that without redesigning the refrigerator.

If someone asks about Viking, I would tell them to consider making sure that they look at the design of each of the refrigerators and make sure that this particular design is something they're gonna be aware of in case they buy this model. This is a problem I'm having with this model and maybe another model doesn’t have that problem.

I originally purchased a different brand of refrigerator and I wasn’t happy with it. I needed to have it exchanged and I went with Viking since I got a wine cooler and a stove from them before. My Viking refrigerator is fine and its quality is very good. But its size is a little bit small and there is less space in there with the kind of depth it has. Also, it's freezing at the top part of my refrigerator when I put things up there. The serviceman said he had to order a part and he was supposed to come back and replace it, so I'm waiting. But so far, everything is very good and working out okay now, and I would recommend the refrigerator to people. Although I was not very happy with the sales people when I bought the first refrigerator, I would recommend the store to anybody.

Fridge is leaking water on to the floor after 4 years. Authorized service tech didn't find anything wrong but changed thermostat just in case was the problem. Fridge still leaks. YouTube videos show it is likely a clogged drain line. After taking apart fridge we can see the evaporation tray is completely dry, yet water is leaking on floor. Why didn't tech even check this??? Seems pointless to call tech back since he was so clueless but we don't know how to fix it. Also the shelves broke too easily.

We met with the district sales manager of Viking Refrigerators and it was a great meeting. We switched from Dacor and purchased from them. But when the first appliance that we bought came though, I sent him an email with pictures of the problem and never heard one word. We've had trouble with the refrigerator and with the oven, and now we’ve got a service call in for the dishwasher, and it hasn't been a great experience. Our interaction with the customer service reps has been a disaster and they handled the situation poorly. I was spending 20,000 bucks and I wanted to get the issues resolved, and I didn't have time to mess with them.

So, we went right to the retailer, Abt, and we dealt with them and they responded very promptly. The Viking product is great but getting it here in one piece is the issue. We're very satisfied with the final results, but there was no response from Viking from May until now to get the issues resolved. On the other hand, Abt was great and I'd go to them any day of the week. But don't go to Viking.

I’ve known Viking’s name for a long time and I chose them partly because I love the double French door oven and I like to get all matching appliances. I have a Viking refrigerator, dishwasher, induction cooktop, and a double oven but I don’t have the microwave as it didn’t fit in my nook which was very disappointing. The refrigerator’s layout is good and the lighting is working well. The refrigerator is a match with the cooking and baking and I like it. The Viking products I have are very good. But I had a screw come out of my dishwasher and I can’t figure out where it should go. Also, on the refrigerator, the little canal where you adjust the temperature that kind of sits at the bottom of it is loose. But, when you look at the oven, the racks are substantial and anyone comparison shopping can tell a huge difference. Additionally, the induction cooktop has been amazing.

Our Viking dealer is Ferguson and they have been great. We had a lot of trouble on the installation and they made it right and they put in a new manager, to fix the issues. They also did the pre-site inspection after and it wasn’t right and was worthless. The representatives didn’t measure accurately and completely. They did not mark any modifications needed for the Viking microwave. But when I delved into it, there was no way it was gonna fit because of the depth. Then, they marked the height of the double oven that’s needed but not the depth. The back of my cabinet also had to be torn out and that was a surprise. Ferguson is fixing that and it was a hassle.

Buying the Viking products was awesome but getting them put in was stressful. I had the double oven sitting in my living room for a few weeks while we work out the issues. So far, my experiences with Viking have been good and I’m hoping their products last a long time. They look beautiful. Still, I’m waiting for my rebate check and once I get that I’ll be full thumbs up for Viking.

We got the French refrigerator and Viking's team was friendly and helpful. But it's a little concerning that it came with issues. There was something wrong with the door and there was a dent on top of it. I called the company that I purchased it from and they weren’t too responsive but I was able to get a small discount off the fridge and someone came to fix the problem that I was having with the door. The person who came out was surprised that they shipped it out to me in that condition. I purchased a refrigerator, a stove, wine cooler and vent hood from Viking. The refrigerator's quality is great. It looks good and it works well. But we had a cosmetic issue with it about its packaging. I guess it’s from the factory like somebody had scoured through the packaging to get the handles attached. They basically cut the steel when they did so it got scour marks on the steel. I’ve already filed a warranty claim and somebody contacted me. They were supposed to schedule a time to come out but I never heard from them again. The last time I did was eight weeks ago and I just remembered recently that it never got done.

When I was speaking with the team at Viking Refrigerators, the experience is generally pretty good. But it was a little frustrating that I had to go separately to register the warranty then come back to them to do it rather than staying to do it with them right then and there. It should have been a little bit easier. But other than that, the experience with talking with them about the problem seemed fine. But they haven't followed up with the local contractor. I got a call from Viking shortly after being contacted by the local person asking me if the contractor finished it which I told them that they have not. Then they said to check back in with them but I don’t think anyone has.

Other than that, I find it interesting that they don't have French door built-in refrigerator on the larger sizes. We got their 42-inch size and Viking doesn’t offer a French door refrigerator which we would’ve liked. But at the end of the day, the cost difference to go for a Wolf or Subzero ‘cause they have that as an option on a built-in is not worth it. And I will still recommend Viking.

I bought a house and it had an older Viking range and a Bosch dishwasher. I needed to replace my refrigerator so I wanted it to be Viking. I chose Viking because I wanted it to match the stove. Besides, Bosch did not have as good reviews as Viking. And I was a bit limited as I live in a very old house and it’s a standalone refrigerator. It’s not a built-in and there aren’t a lot of those high-end available and Viking had a nice one. So I purchased the refrigerator through Best Buy and they were very nice. They didn't have the refrigerator on the showroom floor and this guy named Ryan found it for me when I told him exactly what I needed.

When I bought the French Door refrigerator, it was fine. I like the way it looks, as well as its lighting. But then it began making high-pitch tinging noise that was driving me crazy. I had an appliance guy come in to check it and I pointed it out and he took a video and told me that it's no good. It was not the fan which a lot of people thought. The fan makes a fine sound. Almost a comforting sound. But this was a metal on metal and it was the condenser. They put me in touch with Viking and they sent out a technician and he put some sound deadening material on the condenser which has solved the problem. Thing is, it should be designed that way in the first place. It's silly. And also right there in the back of the fridge is a crazy piece of cardboard which doesn’t make any sense. It should be a metal panel. But overall, it's a very nice fridge with a very good price. I would recommend Viking.

It’s a very big unit but it seems to be very small inside compared to the machine that I had previously. I can’t understand how it takes up the same amount of space up and down and side to side and in and out, but there’s less interior space. I also have problems with arranging the shelving in a reasonable height given the drawer setup that’s there. So, the interior design is not good and I’d urge a consumer to be more involved in the choice of the machine.

The drain on my Viking refrigerator, which is supposed to drain the water that the condenser takes out, wasn’t draining. It froze over so we had leaking for a couple of days. The Viking reps were professional and were able to handle the issue in a timely manner. They were able to send somebody out. The guy that came out though was quite obnoxious, annoying and I wasn’t happy with the work he did. I tried helping him because he was here by himself and was making a mess. He wouldn’t show me what he was doing, kept saying this was my fault and that we somehow got food in the drain. When we got to the drain, I asked him where the food was and he got upset.

He then told me that he was gonna put something in the drain to keep it from freezing over. He went ahead and took the screwdriver and made a hole in the radiator that’s part of the condenser and pushed a bunch of slats together to put it in there. He told me that this was how they do it. I told him that I worked on cars for more than 20 years and that if he ever did this to a car radiator, he would have to get a new radiator. I also told him that I worked on cooling for computer systems for 25 years and I do lots of water cooling jobs and if he did this to a radiator, he’d be getting a new radiator. He answered again that this was how they do it and that’s how he left it and left the house. I relayed this information back to Viking and nobody ever followed up with me.

The whole point of the radiator is they’re supposed to radiate the heat off, and one of the ways they do that is all those little slats are separated. That way, the heat goes off into the air. They don’t transfer on to other pieces of metal but he went ahead and pushed all the slats together. This is a $5,000 refrigerator and barely two years in, it flooded my kitchen, caused damage to the hardwood floors and required a service call. I'm not impressed. We just got a dishwasher and we chose Bosch because of this experience. Now we’re about to swap out the stove and the hood, and I’m not taking Viking again.

Price-wise, it's reasonable and the quality is outstanding. I like that it's very spacious. I had that issue with a refrigerator that I previously owned, as all of these newer refrigerators don't hold that much. I also like the new space for pizza boxes and party platters. But I was disappointed that there is no water dispenser in this model that I have. Also, for some strange reason, it makes a noise even though the door is closed, and it's unclear why that's happening. Overall I've been very pleased. We bought a house with a Viking Refrigerator in it. I've heard about it before and they were supposed to be really good appliances. However, I had problems with my refrigerator for almost a year before anything was done about it. So, that was very irritating. My fridge would get warm randomly. It got into the 40s everyday and it'd get up into the 50 degrees sometimes. It was very difficult. So I called and their reps have been professional. However, with the first person I talked to, it doesn’t seem like anything happened. When I called again a month or more later, he got something going and it was taken care of right away. I had a repairman come out at least 12 times and make many repairs, change pieces out, but nothing ever seemed to work. I called and complained so many times and the repairman had assured me that he had called and suggested it being replaced, and nothing ever happened. So, his interaction was not very productive at all.

After 11 months, they finally said they'll replace it. They did that but then after a few days, the alarm started going off on it. I’m not impressed with Viking and most likely I would never buy another Viking Refrigerator again. I would also discourage people from purchasing Viking, especially if it was a refrigerator. I saw Viking in other peoples' home and I've heard about it before. I liked the look or their design. My builder bought the Viking refrigerator when I moved to the new construction five years ago. The refrigerator part is okay. I like the shelving and the refrigerator is very spacious. The look of the refrigerator looks great and looks very modern. Functional-wise, it's a big refrigerator and it has a lot of space, but other than that, it's just a refrigerator. Also, I had an issue with the freezer recently. It has a drain pipe to a pan underneath it to drain water. The pipe got blocked and there was icing there. I had the repair service to repair it. I learned from the service guy that I need to do maintenance every year to move the refrigerator out and then it's back to prevent any blockage. I had a bit of interaction with the vendor and their service was okay, although it will be helpful if the appliance dealer could have a stronger service department.

I have about everything from Viking. I also have a dishwasher, microwave, range, and the hood above the range, but the dishwasher has many problems. It has been serviced by the technician three or four times already. When I had the dishwasher problem, I called the service company and it took seven to 10 days for them to show up. Sometimes I had to wait for a long time for them to show up. I may not want to buy Viking at all because although I had good experience with the refrigerator and everything else, if one has a problem, I may have to buy another different set. I need to have matching appliances. Viking has to take care of everything including the one that I have a bad experience with, the dishwasher.

Our old Viking Refrigerator was unimpressive for the price. It was just an ordinary refrigerator with a Viking label on it. It was eight years old and a particular part broke. We could have fixed the thing for $200 but they discontinued that part and it was not available. They supposedly keep spare parts for 10 years, but I suspect that this part was defective or broke a lot, so they ran out. So our opinion of Viking is not very good.

We bought a new refrigerator and it was the only one that fit in the space that we had. It also costs $1,000 more than other virtually identical refrigerators made by the same company. There were also other better refrigerators that are too tall. The new refrigerator's drawers and shelves worked better than the old one's. It's a decent refrigerator, but all refrigerators in that price range are at least as good. There's nothing special about it.

It does all right keeping things cold but sometimes it’s freezing something and sometimes it’s not. It’s just bizarre, it’s like some things in a certain area of the refrigerator tend to freeze. Almost not solid frozen but get close to frozen. It looks great though. It's aesthetically pleasing. I have a cheap refrigerator in Florida that performs the same. We remodeled our kitchen and have replaced all of our appliances with new Viking models to include: a 6-burner, 2-oven range; a 36" built in freezer, a 36" built in refrigerator, 2 dishwashers, a microwave and a double electric oven with French doors on top. I have had problems with not one, but ALL of my appliances within the first two years of owning each of them. The problems that were covered under warranty eventually got fixed, but the service provided in Rancho Santa Fe by the southern California servicer recommend on the Viking website (Executive Appliance), has been slow and unreliable. I was without a freezer for two weeks and only got it fixed because I repeatedly called them to chase the electrical board part and their technician (after losing several hundred dollars worth of food).

The refrigerator's hinge had a metal part that literally broke apart and fell on the floor. Again another, several week wait to get this fixed. Both dishwashers stopped working within the first two years and have been repaired and are working, but one has control buttons that constantly stick and the paint labeling the buttons is rubbing off. The electric oven does not heat evenly and the food at the back gets cooked faster, so you have to rotate your cakes and cookies or use the convection feature to minimize burning at the back. The small oven in my gas range does not work consistently, so I just use the electric ones now. So, if you intend to use your appliances regularly, I would advise avoiding Viking.

Like other reviewers, it's just a fancy name badge on your appliance, what's beneath is not well constructed or reliable. I am so DISAPPOINTED and will NEVER again purchase a Viking product. I cannot imagine how they will stay in business with such unreliable products. I am just furious about the time and effort I've had to spend getting things fixed that are not even old. It doesn’t happen every single time, but the ice builds up and there's no back on the refrigerator, so it goes straight down and falls on the floor. So, somebody has to get to the floor and pick up the ice cubes. But I like the digital controls of the fridge and everything else is fine.

I'm very surprised about this one item and I know that LG makes their refrigerators so that may be the issue here, but I have heard only good things. But the ice maker didn’t work and it didn't make ice at all from the get-go with the first fridge that I got, so they replaced the fridge. But now I'm having issues too with the ice maker on the second fridge. I've had this fridge for a month before it started knocking. When I dealt with the representatives to try to get the ice maker issue resolved with both fridges, they were great and they’ve been on top of the issue. The technicians showed up and replaced the ice maker five times on the first fridge, before they replaced the fridge. They're now in the process of fixing the the second fridge and they're gonna come out on Friday and replace the ice maker. Viking Refrigerators seemed to be great, but as for their product, I have to see what the outcome is gonna be regarding the issue with the ice maker.

Viking Refrigerators has a good appliance. It gave me good refrigeration and I like the overall sleek look of it. I was satisfied where I purchased it from. The gentleman that helped me was knowledgeable. He also found the product online because they didn’t have it in the store, so he was incredible. However, on the delivery of the first fridge, the item was damaged and we had a huge issue with that. Their customer service or delivery people gave us a really bad time, but Best Buy went over and above to rectify the situation, so I do appreciate that. It was very close to the holiday and it was supposed to be delivered at a particular time but it wasn’t, and so they gave us a temporary fridge to refrigerate my things.

I also like the power failure feature as it was one of the things that would happen right away. When the power went out, it showed the signal, so I knew it failed. It was good to track that. There's a drawer in my Viking refrigerator and it was broken right after the first couple of days I used that. Also, when I called Viking for warranty on oven, fireplace, and the refrigerator, they couldn’t even help me to find the serial number. The reps were extremely impatient and they even sighed on the phone. For a $400 refrigerator, I'm okay with that but not for a $10,000 one. And then, once the technician arrived, they checked the serial number and it was completely a different place than what the reps told me. Up to now, I still haven't received my the part for the drawer. The technician said he will order the part and it has been a month since then. I don’t like Viking at all.

This is my second built-in Viking Professional refrigerator in the last 10 years. The first one was recalled from Viking due to compressor issues and I was able to buy a new one for half the cost ($4000). When you think of the name "Viking" you automatically think top of the line. An $8000 refrigerator should be well built. Don't be fooled by the name. Check out other reviews of the same refrigerator and spare yourself headaches and expense down the road. I wish I had. I am just going to list the problems:

Freezer basket rusts at each point where it attaches. The top basket in the freezer rolls out but isn't in a track so if you are not careful it falls off the edges which can bend the little wheels and make it even more unstable. When the ice cube bucket is full and you open the freezer drawer the ice cubes get knocked into the bottom and on the floor. The ice cube maker doesn't always sense the tray is full and it keeps making ice cubes. There is a tiny little tube that is suppose to drain water and it gets clogged which floods the bottom of the freezer and freezes. You need to pay $300 to have a Viking repair specialist pull the refrigerator away from the wall and clean this tube which is located in back.

Condensation collects on the rubber seal around the freezer door at the top and then it molds. I had a Viking repair person adjust the humidity but it still does it. Refrigerator drawers are very flimsy in the tracks are very difficult to release and replace when cleaning. The freezer door is very heavy and doesn't slide easily so it often gets left ajar. If you don't push hard to shut it causes the contents of the freezer to defrost. I am very good at making sure but I have had visitors, dog sitter, and my children who open the freezer, don't quite close it all the way and leave the room so they don't hear the alarm.

Any maintenance or repair requires a Viking specialist who charges $300 to just pull it out from the wall. This is something you will not be able to do yourself due to the fact it is bolted to the back of the wall with several large bolts. Viking is not helpful when you call them. All I ask is that you research the problems I mentioned above and you will see this is not the appliance or the company you want to do business with.

I’ve been a Viking fan for quite a while when I lived in Chicago. There’s a place up there that sold a lot of Viking products, and I used to see them on display. And I figured if I ever remodel, I’d look at them again, which I did. And I bought a whole Viking kitchen. I dealt with their distributor Elite Appliance, and they were really great. Brian, the sales guy, was really good, very detailed and he answered all my questions. I got a great price and we bought the refrigerator, the 36-inch stove and I ended up getting the Viking dishwasher for free. So, that was a plus.

The refrigerator has been installed and we’ve been using it for about three weeks now. I like it a lot. I like that it’s got a lot of lighting in it when I open it up. And the separate drawers for different temperature controls seems to work well. It’s counter-depth and it’s got a lot of room in it. I also like the lower drawer freezer and the sliding shelf. And now, I got an icemaker that works again, so I like that too.

We bought a Viking refrigerator 15 years ago. We purchased a new refrigerator to replace one that wasn't working anymore. We had no choice but to buy another Viking because we invested in cabinetry and it’s the only thing that would fit. However, it doesn't fit even if the specs said it would. It was a disappointment. The current model is two inches deeper than the original side by side that fit in the 24-inch cabinet.

Viking would not take it back but the appliance company would, but we had looked at other side-by-side models. We would have had to use a stainless and our panel wouldn’t fit. In addition, nobody makes a counter depth refrigerator anymore. We'd have to invest in the columns to do that, and they’re significantly more expensive. We’re stuck with the Viking refrigerator. Also, they gave us a deal and we had gotten a dishwasher for free that came along with the refrigerator. Viking's specs need to be more accurate in terms of calling something counter depth when it’s really not counter depth.

The refrigerator freezes things on the top shelf. Then we had a hinge problem. We had people out of here twice to fix the hinges. The door is also extremely heavy and has a metal compartment on the door. And it’s much heavier than the other unit. Although it's a great refrigerator, I’m not enamored with Viking products. I also own a second Viking, a 36 inch with a lower freezer, which is still working after 15 years.

My recent purchase was a single oven, microwave steam convection oven, all in one dishwasher, gas range and the refrigerator. So far so good but I kind of wish Viking offered a filtered water system through their refrigerators but they don’t. But it does make ice which is nice. I’d definitely recommend their product to a friend. But Viking is top of the line, top dollar. It’s not for the average consumer. The way the refrigerator is installed, it is very close to the oven handle, and if I open it down there, it hits the refrigerator door and puts a dent. So, I have to be careful. I have had a Viking range for 10 years but my home flooded and I decided to replace it. I also decided to go with all Viking appliances. Viking has a quality range, but the other equipment are not really what you want, and the installation and distributors that Viking have are awful. They leave you in the lurch and don’t arrive on time. I bought the appliances from a local Viking distributor as there are no corporate stores here in Houston. For a high-end product, the Viking refrigerator's quality is poor. The finish and the engineering that goes into the product is weak. They don’t offer the same things their competitors offer. They offer a great name, but that’s all. Everything else is bad.

The installation people are hired by their distributors and so customer service had nothing to do with them. The installers are a subcontractor of the dealer and extremely unprofessional. The installers for the refrigerator showed up at 7:30 at night and said that they couldn’t install it then. I have to wait another five days to get it installed and then when they started installing it, they did it incorrectly. The installation dimensions we have off of the website are not accurate because the dishwasher wouldn’t fit in the hole that it was supposed to go into and the range didn’t fit where the old one came out. I had to pay twice to have these jerks come back and install it.

Viking has real problems. Their customer experience model is very poor. My experience was horrible. I talked to Viking in Mississippi, and their customer service people know about my experience and I never got any feedback. I tried to get my products registered since the dealer gave me the wrong serial numbers, and the woman that helped me from Viking customer service was very professional and followed through on what she said, but by that point it was way off past what needed to happen to get me to be a repeat customer. So as far as I'm concerned, I would never recommend Viking appliances to anyone and if I ever buy appliances again, it's going to be something other than Viking.

I needed the built-in one because I was taking out the bad old built-in. The Viking refrigerator had all the features I wanted and had good quality parts and interior too. The ice machine is in the freezer. And I like the ice to be in the tray where I could scoop it out. I got a side-by-side that looks good in my kitchen. I like the same feel and that it was constructed with a simple design. I also like the clean stainless steel doors and the way it's very vertical and tall. I hope that it would last a very long time. If it does, then I'd be happy.

My experience with the dealer was pretty good but they don't use the best people to do the installation. Their people are not really specialized for Viking. There was a lot of back and forth with the dealer about it and there was a miscommunication. I was told that it had an interior water source and they may have said yes because they just misunderstood. So interacting with the dealer wasn't a really good experience.

Also, I wish they would have contacted me to see how things were going during installation and after installation. I tried calling them but I wasn't getting through. I think that contributed to a lot of the miscommunication because they weren't picking up the phone and contacting me directly. Furthermore, my freezer's broken at the moment. I’ve heard of the Viking brand over the years and when I was redoing my kitchen I found them at Best Buy. I liked a few of the features and I was trying to buy a cheaper brand. But the main item I wanted was more of the double oven which has side doors like a baker’s oven. The oven was very nice however, I was a bit concerned about the cooktop because I can’t seem to find the right cook temperature. When you turn that on, you put it on really high and it heats up fast because it’s induction. I can’t seem to get used to it and I’m having a hard time getting used to the different burners. I either get stuff too hot or it doesn’t get hot enough.

For what I spent for the whole kitchen, I’m not overwhelmed with all the quality. The refrigerator and the stove are very nice. The refrigerator doors open and close and keep the food cold. It’s very expensive though. But some of their other appliances are not up to par. The cook-tops should work better. I think it was a brand new design and with this induction, it’s a little tricky to use and it was very difficult to get service. I had to call up and they had to give me a company that would give me service. When I called, I was told that it will be a month and a half before they can come out. I called and tried another company and then I was able to arrange for them to come out a week and a half. Usually, with that kind of money, I should be able to get service in the same week, not two and three weeks for you to use outside service companies. That was a little disappointing. I would have expected better customer service.

Furthermore, they offer rebates for buying certain things and I have to beg to get my rebates. With the amount of money I spent and with the company as big as Viking, I shouldn’t have to do that. It took weeks upon weeks and then they said I didn’t have the right serial number. They made me run through hoops and I had to wait and keep calling and finally, I got the money. We’re talking $1,400. All in all, I shouldn’t have a problem with the rebate nor getting serviced. I think the equipment set would be working a little bit better for the amount of the money I spent. I’m a little disappointed in the dishwasher but they told me that there’s not much they can do.

My experience with the dealership was awesome. I like the quality of the refrigerator but I’ve had quite a few calls to fix things. We had problems with the hinge on the bottom of that refrigerator. The door sunk down and so there was almost at one point, about three-quarters of an inch difference between the refrigerator and the freezer. They had to re-put in a binder and had to come out twice for that.

And then on Thanksgiving, the top of my stove was horrible. Something went out and the oven shut down. They could not replace that and it was unbelievably awful. Also, with my Viking microwave, I had the whole motherboard replaced. And that was under warranty. Thank goodness my refrigerator and the range were under two years warranty. The products look beautiful when you walk into my kitchen. It looks really nice but it’s not worth it. My refrigerator was $8000 which is stupid and my range was $1000. I could probably get adjustments for the product with GE profile.

We have a Viking built-in refrigerator/freezer (VCBB363RSS) which has cost a huge amount in repairs. In 2006 alone, we spent $425 to replace the defrost limiter, then $840 to replace the defrost fan and the ice-maker, and then $975 to replace the condenser fan motor and the power inverter. That's $2,240 in a ten-month period. Now the high-temperature alarm keeps going off - indicating the freezer is malfunctioning again. The freezer is set at five bars, as it should be, and when I raise the temp to four bars, our ice cream and ice cubes melt, and then alarm comes back on anyway. I scheduled a repair call, but if it needs any new parts, I'm getting rid of it and buying a new one - and the new one won't be a Viking!

Updated on 04/17/2018: After three service calls in one week, the problem is finally fixed. First call was to replace thermistors, but the problem remained; second was to replace the compressor, but that didn't change anything; then they replaced the computer board. Total bill for these three visits: a little over $3,000. Ugh.

We purchased an entire suite of professional-grade Viking kitchen appliances. My wife is a very good cook, so she wanted a gas range with Viking as a name, and we thought the refrigeration would be good too. However, I just had somebody come in to repair my refrigerator 'cause it's a defect. The drain was not designed properly, so it would basically freeze up or clog up at the end of the day and then back up. And then, I ended up with ice below my freezer tray. It would melt on the door below the freezer door and then get my floor wet. As a result, I have cupping on my wood floor. So, not only did I pay the repair company that just recently came over $170-$200, which I haven't even been reimbursed yet for, but I also have damaged floor.

I haven't had Viking contact me regarding that yet, and that was something I was expecting a call on. I reached out to them first, and they informed me that if it was a sealed component, it would be covered under warranty but if it wasn't, it wouldn't be. I ordered a part for the snap tray from a repair company, and I asked about the refrigerator and its leaking characteristics. They mentioned that there was a fix for it, and Viking knows about it. A notice was sent out and apparently, Viking has amnesia with that. They don't know of any notice. There's no recall, yet it's clearly a defective product.

I had my first Viking refrigerator in 2002, when we had bought a new house and got all Viking appliances including a refrigerator. We'd purchased homes that had other refrigerators and we'd always had issues with one brand or another, and we'd end up replacing it and going back to a Viking. This is the first time I've purchased a Viking product that had an issue. It's a great refrigerator and everything seems to function. But it beeps at all hours of the day and night, so I have not slept through the night in weeks. And I'm now waiting on a board that's apparently on worldwide back order.

I had service personnel twice prior to them ordering parts and I didn't hear anything back from service. I get that obviously there's a more serious problem with this board than just my refrigerator, and I get that there could be a back order. But it would be nice to know that somebody was thinking it was a higher priority than it is. A service person told me it was on back order, so I waited another week and then called the service person back to find out what status it was, thinking it was on their end that was the delay. The other service person just told me it was on back order. So, I called Viking back to confirm that it was on backorder 'cause Viking didn't share that with me upfront.

When I asked if we could somehow do something after, the Viking rep told me that if I had a circuit that would fit into the refrigerator, I could just go in and turn it off then back on. But that doesn't help me at 2 a.m. when the refrigerator starts beeping. I have to get out of bed to go to the garage to turn off all the breakers at the back, and then I'm not getting back to sleep. Unless something happens, I'm not going to call Viking and tell them that they can pick up my refrigerator, or drop it off in front of a Viking dealer and just put a sign on it. But we're getting really close to that.

After less than two months of us installing it, the refrigerator died. There was a problem with the fan in the freezer portion that wasn't blowing air up the refrigerator, so everything was spoiled. We called the company where we purchased the Viking Refrigerator from and then they contacted Viking. Then they sent someone under the manufacturer warranty. However, that process took three weeks so we were out of a refrigerator for three weeks. The refrigerator is fixed now, although there is a popping noise that occurs occasionally. But even though the refrigerator is giving us some trouble, we still like it. We also like its size and the capability of monitoring the temperature.

When I decided to redo my kitchen, I decided to go with Viking Refrigerators to try it out. I also bought Viking range, French door oven, dishwasher. I had the fridge installed and then I had a new cabinet put in and being a first time Viking Refrigerators owner I was very disappointed when the installers pulled it away from the wall and it bent the feet underneath. We did not know it needed to be lowered. Even the contractors who do kitchens all the time did not know that it had to be lowered first.

I haven’t used my refrigerator in a month. I got a brand new kitchen but I can’t use the fridge because I’m trying to determine how to get this thing fixed. I called Viking Refrigerators, they referred me to a place called High End Appliances. I called them, they came out, looked at it, and when they gave me the estimate. They were saying it was going to cost like $1,500 to fix it and the Viking Refrigerator was $10,000.

I was going to call Viking Refrigerators and share with them the situation in detail. Supposedly the issue was not a manufactures defect. I don’t understand why it can’t be a part of that warranty but as far as the Viking Refrigerators repair person says through High End Appliances, it could not be covered unto warranty. I think that the customer needs to know more specifically that it if a heavy duty item ever needs to be removed it will have to be lowered, because I paid for installation through BestBuy. They put it in and they knew that I was going to get my kitchen remodeled but who was going to tell me to make sure to lower it when I move it.

For a major appliance like that that costs $10,000 I would expect that there should be something in writing if this item ever needs to be removed. I think there needs to be something very bold and written so that this won’t happen to someone else again. I don’t know if that should be something that was made apparent to Viking Refrigerators owners not to move this 48 inch cabinet type fridge unless you first have it professionally lowered. It’s not normal so it was a little frustrating.

I hate refrigerators 'cause I want there to be a lot of drawers for vegetables. The Viking refrigerator had drawers, and it was pretty. Plus it fit the space. I also like the freezer on the bottom and the closing. The refrigerator had the same kind of handles as the Thermador range I was buying, and it matched my other appliances. It's been here less than a month and it's good so far.

However, when the power goes out and then it beeps, I have to figure out what I'm supposed to do. It doesn't seem to reset itself. It's winter here, so power has gone out a couple of times. And when you open the door and it has the digital readout that tells you what the temperature is, it's all off. And at the bottom, there's the little flashy thing that says "Mute sound", but everything else is not lit up. But you hit that button that's flashing, and everything comes back on the digital panel on the door. I haven't had a digital panel, so it's something to learn. I also haven't quite gotten used to the French door. I especially don't like that it slams if you have jarring things on one of the doors. It closes itself real tight and it will slam, and sometimes, things pop out. So, I had to arrange it so that not a lot of little things are on the right-hand side. But I'm getting used to it and otherwise, I like it.

The Viking appliances came as a package with the house that I purchased and I was like, “Wow, these are really good appliances in the place.” I just had contact with Viking Refrigerators when I was registering the appliances. I needed to register them for them to be serviced under warranty. But I was a little surprised that sometimes the serial numbers and product numbers didn’t go into the side of the appliances. Then I would call Viking Refrigerators and they gave me a procedure for dealing with this which made the whole process of registration a little more complicated.

We just had our Viking refrigerator serviced because the ice maker was not working properly. Apparently, it was freezing the water on the way in. It took a while to get people to service the refrigerator, then they had to order the parts. It has been a week and a half now since the repair and the same thing is starting to happen again. I've been seeing water freezing and dropping down, so I’m about to make another call to Viking Refrigerators in the next couple of days.

When the technician repaired the refrigerator earlier, he said, “I’ve changed everything that I could. If this doesn’t work, I don’t know what else would.” But I was a little baffled that six months into living into my house, my super expensive, top-of-the-line Viking refrigerator didn’t work and then they serviced it, and now there’s water frozen. When the water seeps, it starts freezing, and the frozen thing eventually blocks the water in, and that was what also happened the last time.

The quality of the Viking refrigerator seemed nice, but I was a little surprised that something so upscale with such a great reputation had this kind of failure in the first six months of its life. The refrigerator was covered under warranty because the Viking appliances came with the same one-year warranty that the builder gave. But I'm going to reach out to Viking Refrigerators and find out if I can extend the warranty because I’m a little concerned and we’d love to have that extended warranty.

It was a floor model, but they didn’t have it on the floor so I never touched it. I had never seen it until I got it to the house, and that probably was my mistake. I should have seen it before making that expensive purchase.

When I had it delivered, the doors didn't feel that good for a refrigerator that is worth $11,000. I expected to have a bit more of a heavy-duty suction. When I first encountered the problem, I called Viking and they gave me a service provider. I called them for a month and they never called me back. Then I called back Viking and they left me waiting on the phone. I called them back again and then they were closed. Then I called them back and the guy I spoke with told me that he had spoken to the service provider and that they were going to call me back, but they never did. I don’t think those service providers exist, so they lied. Then I called back and they gave me another service provider. It has not been a positive experience.

I had somebody service my Viking yesterday because I thought that there was something wrong with the door and I spent a long time yesterday looking if there was anybody else with the same complaints. But they told me that that’s how that door functions. There was also condensation inside and the guy told me that it was because I had it in a power save mode. The condensation has stopped and it is cooling things. But it was disappointing that I could have bought a $2,000 refrigerator to cool things.

I like how cold it is and I like the fact that food doesn’t go spoiled as easily as with my traditional $2,000-range fridge. I bought a floor model and I called Viking ‘cause it had an installation issue. They sent a third-party company fast, which is good in terms of their customer service. However, the company who did the repair was not as good as I would like them to be because they couldn’t do it right and they put on the report that it might be a different issue. They scheduled it for another three to four weeks ‘cause of the parts. Overall Viking is pretty solid, but from the design point-of-view, it’s a bit outdated compared to others. Sub-Zero is better but it’s a little bit pricier and it’s harder to find a floor model than Viking.

I’ve had just about every brand of refrigerator imaginable and I have never ever had to call and use the warranty and try to get things fixed, except for now with Viking. We were willing to pay the price thinking we were getting quality, but it was very poor. The refrigerator came defective. The doors were uneven and it wasn’t fully balanced so it wobbled on the floor. I had all those little quirky things, but the main problem was when the ice maker would not work, it flooded.

I had a free-standing refrigerator and it flooded and it froze, and then it completely stopped working. So we called Viking and they kept trying to fix it but it wouldn’t work. Finally, the technician replaced the refrigerator but we hadn’t had it for two weeks when the freezer flooded, froze and stopped working as well. Plus, the refrigerator always came with cracked little door cabinets, the ones where you put your milk. It is terrible. The doors were also still uneven and the little bend was cracked. They took care of that, but it came directly from Viking and that took a long time to receive. Clearly, there is an issue with the manufacturer.

I had also missed an appointment because I couldn’t do the window that was given. I called a day or two before they gave the notice but they never called me back. The next thing I knew the tech was at my house and it was like he didn’t get the message. I was so sorry and I wanted to reschedule. I asked if they could come quickly and he said he could come that week. But I followed up and they never called me back. I finally called them the other day and the rep booked me three weeks out, on March 19th, which was absurd. I had waited a month and now I’m waiting another month. When the technician comes and diagnoses it, I know it’s going to be another month to get the part. It’s an absolute nightmare.

We made the purchase through the Best Buy store because it was easy and convenient, and I knew that it was backed by Viking. Best Buy was hard to deal with but it was easier than dealing with Viking directly. I’m in that huge several month's process of trying to get my ice maker to work. If this problem continues, I’m going to go to the news. The process is bad and outright wrong. I was being pretty cool about it, but Viking gives me crap.

Viking doesn’t hustle out and try to own up to it or make it right. They make you wait and the people that they have that work the warranty don’t care. But they really need to care because they may be making a lot of money installing a lot, but it’s not going to continue. I read the reviews and I know there are a lot of angry people. Reviews are out there with this exact freezer problem and it has happened to me twice. What were the chances of that? If they really paid attention, I wouldn’t have had another problem.

I’ve known about Vikings Refrigerator for years. They were in my family growing up and I liked their dependability. I like the design of the unit I have. But I had a poor experience with my Viking dealer, an online dealer. I purchased from a company called Appliances Connection and they're out of New Jersey while I’m in Atlanta. I knew exactly the model I wanted and did everything online.

But there were problems with the communication between the sales representative when I ordered the unit and the shipping department, and there's the need or knowledge of being service oriented. It was committed to me that it going to be a white glove delivery experience and that the old refrigeration unit would be removed. But when the delivery people got here, they dropped the Viking Refrigerator in my front door and left. I wasn’t able to inspect it and I had to struggle and had to pay them additional cash to be able to get the old unit removed. Other than that, the overall quality of the refrigerator is great.

We had Sub-Zero in our previous house and we were thinking about buying Sub-Zero again but Viking had a promotion, which was if you bought so many appliances, for every dollar over $10,000 that you spent, you get a 10% rebate. It pushed the cost in our favor so we got their unit. The first fridge that they sent had some damages on it and was making a loud noise. The damages were in the white parts on the inside of the unit, and it was something they could not repair. ApppliancesConnection.com, the place where I bought the unit, asked me to send pictures, and I did all that. Then, they sorted all that to the Viking rep.

Viking made me an offer, but it was not a large enough discount to make me want and take it. I told them that if they want to make a more substantial financial offer, I would consider taking the damaged one. However, they never got back to me. I had to chase them down for weeks. I called again and again and they told me that the woman who was working on it doesn't do that anymore. Finally, I was like, “You know what, forget it, I’m not taking the offer. Just come out and replace it.” So they came out and took care of its replacement and the new one they sent has been fantastic. Overall, I'm satisfied with my experience. Everything got handled pretty quickly and got fixed. However, if there was any way that Vikings could make a refrigerator that has filtered water, that would be a bonus. That was the only feature that we could not get in the Viking fridge and we really miss having it.

I'm a general building contractor, so I research every refrigeration system I can find. I had an existing cutout where I had a Sub-Zero refrigerator from years past and the Viking box size was almost identical to the Sub-Zero that I removed. So far I like it very much. It keeps everything cold and crisp the way it's supposed to, and it's exact in the areas that it's supposed to be and in the areas that it's not supposed to be that way. It's an intelligent machine. I especially like the icemaker and the pizza box shelf at the bottom. Their products are good and as advertised. For the price and performance, Viking would be my number one suggestion.

Four years ago, I used to deliver the appliances myself and I fell in love with Viking Refrigerators then. I like the looks and convenience of use. However, the situation I have now needs to be rectified. The old refrigerator I have was a great quality. This one now is working great but the door grinds and doesn’t open and close properly.

I’ve contacted the store and they sent somebody. Then I contacted Viking Refrigerators because it’s not an installation problem, it’s a problem with the refrigerator. And they sent somebody out to the house a week and a half ago and I have to hear back from them. They said they had to order parts. The product was installed on January 3rd. I contacted them on the fifth and the problem has yet to be rectified. They could have been aware that it is a warranty issue and they should have fixed it immediately. Viking Refrigerators needs to respond better. It was an issue trying to get in touch with somebody but when I finally got somebody, they were very good and they were trying to work with me. Overall, I would still recommend them.

Viking Refrigerators was the only one that Best Buy had on appliances that would fit. Its quality is average but a bit too much for a residential. Nonetheless, it’s nice looking and I like the double doors from the doors on top. Viking offered a rebate but they have not been forthcoming. They told me to email it to a certain contact person, which I spoke to verbally on the phone. He was very nice and kept us in contact. And then after four weeks, I followed up with three emails. From customer service, I spoke to a woman over there but nobody has responded for almost a month now. All I'm asking is that if they received the rebate form and the receipt. I'm not even asking for the rebate. Overall, the Viking Refrigerators look wonderful cosmetically and work fine but they lack communication for an offer of the rebate.

The motherboard of our last Viking fridge died the first two weeks we owned it. The fridge was a lemon from the get-go and we spoke with Viking and they said, “No, it doesn’t need replacing. We’ll replace the motherboard.” Unfortunately, it was a lemon of a fridge. We’ve had at least seven issues with it and the week before Christmas, it just gave up and that was weeks after having it repaired. I went with Viking again this time because the built-in fridge had to be the same size to fit in the box, the old Viking location.

Their rep was unbelievable. Since it was before Christmas, they gave us a loaner at no charge and he did his utmost to find us a replacement fridge so that we wouldn’t have to reconstruct the box. He found one in the States but it can't cross the border because it had the Viking nameplate on it. In Canada, it’s called Brigade so we ended up having to pay $2500 more. The rep did everything. He called and said, “They will not allow the one to go over the border and now this one in Canada is going to cost $2500 more.” I said, "Okay this is now a scam." He said, “Absolutely not. You can cancel your order. You can keep the loaner fridge however long it takes to find a fridge.” He was very good. So far, the new Viking fridge has been in for two and a half weeks and it has been fine. It is super bright compared to the old one and I like the feature where you can put a pizza box or platter of food. We purchased one in December and it was installed in January.

We weren't originally getting Viking Refrigerators but after looking at refrigerators, I liked the features on it and the quality of the refrigeration is good. It has the two doors on top and a door freezer. I like that the ice tray is not in the door because you lose space when it’s in the door, that was why we ended up going with Viking. I originally wanted refrigerators with the ice maker in the door, but it doesn’t work well with this kind of model. We got the Viking also because when you pull the ice tray, there are three drawers that pull out so when you do one pull of the drawer on the outside, the ice tray drawer comes out as well. It’s magnetized to the door and that’s a big feature. A lot of times with the other refrigerators. Once you open the drawer and then you get to pull another rack to get the ice, it’s two steps, which is annoying. This way, you pull it once and then you can get the ice.

But when it was delivered, they took that feature off. It was on the showroom floor, but then they changed the model and they no longer did that feature so a part was ordered for us to put the back of that on the door. So now, it’s magnetized and the ice tray drawer pulls out. They were able to do that but they should put that feature back in. That was the selling feature for us. Thank goodness they were able to retrofit that. We had a problem with the doors. When you look at the two top doors, there’s a weave in the stainless steel on one side and there’s none in the other so we had the salesperson from Appliance World come in and checked it. She came, verified it and then went back to the reps who deal with the Viking people. They said that cosmetic problems are supposed to be told within three months, and we were six months out.

I’m going to call my sales rep and tell her that I was not happy with that. She saw that there was a problem and I was told that one side door will be switched out. The other sales rep from Appliance World that deals with the repair people said, “You’re out of warranty. Sorry. Bye.” She wasn’t very nice. She also said, “I deal with these people all the time. Viking is not going to change their mind. Blah, blah, blah.” The other reason that we liked the feature is that we were able to create this to make it look like a built-in because Viking simply gives built-in refrigerator and this particular model is the only one they make that’s not a built-in. We have custom cabinetry so they made it look like it was a built-in and it came out nice. We didn’t want to spend the money on a built-in and this is not a built-in but we can make it look like one.

When we went looking for a refrigeration system for Thanksgiving the salesperson showed us different brands and the Viking appealed to us. My wife liked the configuration of the shelves inside. She also likes the openness of this refrigerator. It's not cluttered and we could adjust the shelves. Diana, the person I dealt with at Viking, was super. The only thing is that they were so busy that they couldn't deliver the refrigerator so I went to pick it up.

However, we're having trouble with the icemaker. The refrigerator takes a couple of days for it to generate. It was making a little bit of ice and then all of a sudden it didn’t make ice. So we called the repair facility and that was not a happy thing for me because we had to find different dealers that would service Viking. We finally found one and they came out and worked on it. But after four days it had spit out about five ice cubes and that was it. We had the repair technician come out again and he said that they'll order a new one. I said okay and we're waiting for the part to come in. Viking Refrigerators is one of the best ones a person could get. The biggest features would be its reliability and functionality.

My daughter got a KitchenAid but I don’t like it at all because when you close one door, the other one doesn’t close all the way or it stays open or you have to open both of them. Every time I go over to my daughter, I try to clean her refrigerator and five minutes later, the fingerprints are right there back again. It just really annoys me. I'm kind of a brand name person and Viking means something that’s classy. I like the look and style of it. I like the weight and the handles were strong. All my appliances are very personal and I have to like the way they feel.

Everything has been good with my fridge but I haven't quite figured out how to work the panel on the door as far as changing the temperature and I haven't really investigated it as far as the manual goes. But it stays cold. I like that it doesn’t show a lot of fingerprints.I do use a cleaner on it, but it stays on it. It keeps the fridge looking good for quite awhile. When we ordered it, it had the other grill on the bottom of it but when they delivered it it had the solid tray on the bottom. I think it was new change but I like it. Also I do like the separate compartments in the freezer. There's a couple of shallow ones and the bigger one on the bottom.

I love my Viking refrigerator. I would get another one. Some people think you're going to get Viking just because of the name but I did try to have an open mind when I went to purchase my refrigerator and checked out another one. Maybe I did buy it because it says Viking on it. I'm going to have the fridge for a long time, so I might as well get the one I like.

We know and we like Viking so we go Viking all the way. We have two stoves, one gas, one electric, a microwave, and a dishwasher. They're easy to use and everything's upfront. Everything else we buy these days, including a car, comes with a tutorial on DVDs and 48-page pamphlets just to introduce the other pamphlets. But Viking we just look at it and there it is.

Our Viking refrigerator is only a few days old and so far it's been fine compared to the other one, which was a disaster. It's very steady and has a door alarm. In case I get caught in a fugue like state I can always be reminded by the alarm. And everything's uniform in terms of refrigeration throughout the compartment, which we like. I also like that it has a barrier bar between in the back of the right hand door so when we’re closing it it really seals. The ice maker is good. We can turn it off if we don't want it and there are no issues about leaks and going into trays. It is very self-contained and efficient.

The Viking dealer have very friendly folks. They told us about others brands, more for contrast. They didn’t try to sell us anything else. Once they saw we were going Viking they reinforced things and they were very efficient. There was a lot of communication. They called us back and forth. The driver with the appliance had called us three times telling about his route. They did exactly what they said they were going to do, price wise and in terms of the delivery date and the people who brought it in. The delivery folks were great. They spent over an hour leveling things and they did a great job. They were very careful and neat and one of the best deliveries we've had since we were here.

The only thing that I'd have to get used to is the bottom drawer which is a long drawer and gives good storage for the cold zone but there's nothing about that that we use right now. Although I could see for the future we might be loading different sorts of perishables in there. We have to open both doors to get that lower drawer open. It's not a problem it just culturally I hadn't been doing that. And should a friend ask me about Viking refrigeration I’d say, “If you're rich, get it.”

We've had our Viking refrigerator for about a month now and it's been terrific. We decided to purchase a Viking because of the look and the price. Also, because of their customer service and warranty based on what I heard from other people who have Viking or have sold Viking. My favorite feature of the fridge is its very open design inside with all the shelving and it was just a good-looking unit. It doesn’t have the bells and whistles. I was happy that I didn't have the water and ice in the door. When I purchased Viking through Best Buy, they had an in-house shop company called Pacific Sales and the girl who helped us was really, really sweet and nice.

The delivery, on the other hand, was a complete nightmare. We ordered it on December 5th and they were supposed to deliver it on the 9th but we got it December 23rd. The wait time was pretty terrible. They delivered it and left it in the middle of our kitchen. It was pretty rough that we had to push our closing back on our other home because we couldn't move into the new home because we didn't have a refrigerator. They tried to explain why it was a long process but it was really poor excuses. The first and second time, they canceled. They said they don't go up 12 flight of stairs which I told them I didn’t have. Then, the third time they were supposed to come out, they canceled because they said it was not a two-man team rather a four-man team.

When they brought the fridge out, it was a two-man team and they said they only do delivery but they don’t install. Another two guys came out and put it in that night. So, the fridge sat in the kitchen for about 8:30 in the morning to 6:00 at night. Best Buy gave us a $150 gift card as a resolution for all the issues I had. But for a $9,000 refrigerator, it doesn't make sense. The only other thing about my experience with Viking was that they had a promo when we bought the refrigerator and we got a dishwasher included. That was really, really helpful. I would tell people to give Viking Refrigerators a try.

Our fridge was on its way out. Plus, we had a space issue and we wanted to find a fridge that would fit in it without having to cut our cabinets. The size was the biggest factor. We tried Viking Refrigerators just to try something different. It was also because we’ve heard good things about the brand and with the way it looked. We bought it online through some appliance website and they were okay. However, the installers were poor and didn’t put the ice machine in right, so it didn’t work. But that has nothing to do with Viking.

The refrigerator has a freezer at the bottom which I like as it gives me more room at the top. It’s easier to organize my food because there’s a lot of refrigeration space. I like that both doors open. I also like how it's working out. It’s easier just for me. It has a lot of flexibility. The ref is not built-in, but it looks built-in. When our builder gave us two options, whether the lower grade or the higher grade, I went with the higher grade which was Viking. I have already known that Viking Refrigerators were better and I like them. I like how easily I can move the shelf and I like the partial shelf a lot which drops under so I can put more tall things on the inside shelf.

But one thing I don’t like about the Viking Refrigerator is the icemaker. The refrigerator is a three-door and I love the way the bottom freezer opens but every time I do the ice, it knocks an ice cube underneath. It’s crazy and I can’t get it to stop doing that. I’ve called it in but they told me that it is a standard problem. If I would have known that problem, I wouldn’t have bought it because it’s aggravating for me to chase around ice cubes under the refrigerator. They shouldn’t be there but it spits them out to the floor in front but if I pull the door out, they drop down behind the door.

Also, the freezer part needs development because the top tray sticks and it’s hard to remove sometimes, and it’s brand new. I’ve seen the double drawer and I don’t know if I can have that in the freezer part at the bottom where the one big solid door with two racks inside is. They have a slim drawer on the outside and it’s the rest of the door, and even that would be a better model. Then, the first time I got my refrigeration filters, it took three months to get the filters replaced. It was some back order and I never knew the status of it. It was really aggravating and absolutely crazy how long it took to get the filter cartridge because it’s brand new. I really wanted them replaced for a while and it took at least two months come through. I didn’t even know that the order was still placed because I never got any feedback. So, there was really poor communication.

I called Viking customer service and it was crazy. When I called the warranty department, the phone went automatically to their “We’re out for lunch.” I ended up calling a different department and said, “I’ve left messages on the line. I’m in the east coast. You can’t be out for lunch at 1 because it’s 8 AM.” They called me back and Desiree was lovely and was wondering why I was getting that message so I told her to try the number I called. There was another person who helped me, because the house was in North Carolina, and we’ve had an easy 10 hours in trying to contact Viking, which is beyond reasonable.

I’m surprised they haven’t called to follow up on the status yet. Viking sent three different people to see if they would fix the machine. The first two wouldn’t even come for service because they don’t service Viking. Now, I fully expect the service for any repairs to be that awful. I should have shopped for a different model or looked for different ones because they’re a pain in the butt.

In addition, I like that the interior parts of their refrigerators were metal and not plastic. We had a tricky experience with Viking and we are still hoping for help. The builder, whom we bought the home from, selected Viking appliances. It is a brand new beautiful home but our refrigerator just freezes all the food. It is not consistently cooling in a way that a high-quality refrigerator should. It is brand new so we are miserable and it has been a terrible experience. The refrigerator is vital because we had to throw out groceries through the holidays. We’ve lost food and have lost much money. On the other hand, the range is fine but it’s not something I can really grieve about.

The Viking dealer gave us a number for a local person to come look at it. The first person never called us back so we called Viking back. They assigned a second person and the second person came out and told us that they do not know what was wrong. He also told us that Viking told them that they should counsel customers to keep all the things to the front of the refrigerator. It was ridiculous. It was so bad and negative and we were really frustrated because we did not even know. We are not difficult customers on any level and so we’re so sad because this is the first time we bought a brand new home with new appliances and we have not been able to get a resolution.

I have been calling Viking probably under 10 times and I’ve called the local repair people a few times as well but nobody came up with a solution. Viking told us to listen to whatever the repair people say. Also, to wait and do it and see what happens. No one really seems to care. We got a lemon and Viking isn’t owning up to it yet. We’re just sitting, waiting, and throwing away food that it’s horrible.

Viking has always been one of our top few favorites and with our particular remodel, we were looking for more of a high-end like commercial package which narrowed things down to a few different ones. The quality of Viking's refrigeration system is great. Every aspect of it comes across as very high-quality and very well-made so the whole package is impressive. Overall, we’re very impressed with Viking and I would highly recommend it.

I had some Viking products before and I love their products. I got a refrigerator and it's very organized, compressed and is a nice statement in the kitchen. It also seems to be energy efficient because it doesn’t run in a cycle. It runs on and off a lot versus the thing compressing the air. It also maintains the temperature very easily and it's quiet. The guys who brought the ref in were extremely careful and good at moving the big and heavy product.

But I was offended by my experience with their dealers. They sent out a refrigerator which was boxed and I saw the delivery guys open it in front of my house and it was damaged in the box. They brought it in and they said the damage could be easily fixed by replacing one piece. I told them it was fine, I needed the refrigerator for the holiday. But as I installed the refrigerator, I noticed one packaging slip on the side of it so I removed it and inside the slip was the receipt that a new box had been ordered for this refrigerator. The refrigerator was sold to another family in a nearby suburb and returned by that family because it was damaged. But the dealer sold it to me as a new product.

I immediately called the supplier and it was like the girl had been waiting for my call. They knew exactly what was going on and they ordered me another one. The other one came and they said, “Just use this one in the meantime.” I wasn’t really out a refrigerator for a long period of time, but it was just the idea of them trying to slip this damaged one past me. I would be hesitant in purchasing a high-priced item from this company again even though I'm happy with the product itself.
