TruGreen has really delivered for me in a big way. This spring I had a bunch of clovers and dandelions in my yard and it took away from my yard and wanting to be competitive amongst my neighbors (in a good and healthy way lol). Well you all came and sprayed and within weeks they were all gone. This is not being boastful — I am constantly getting neighbors asking me questions about what I’m doing and how I’ve gotten my yard to look so great. Of course I’m proud to tell them cause being a new lawn it’s been a lot of hard work; and watching tons of YouTube Videos on proper lawn-care by different lawn care experts. Here are a few photos. We have been fighting weeds in our yard for years with little success. It seemed for every weed we killed two more returned. When TruGreen stopped by we said what the heck. It can't hurt to try them. After only one application, we saw a marked difference in our lawn. Certain weeds which had seemed impossible to destroy were dying. After only a couple of visits by TruGreen, our yard is gorgeous. Yes, try them.

My Lawn Specialist Kevin ** does an outstanding job! He is courteous, well spoken and professional. A great TruGreen employee. He is thorough and knows how to keep a lawn green. He addresses my concerns and keeps me informed. Thank you.

Damian ** was the specialist that treated our lawn. He was very helpful and knowledgeable. He was also friendly. Our yard is looking better since Damian has started treating it. Not as many weeds are popping up. We are pleased with the service and results on our lawn from TruGreen.

Already expressed my disappointment but never heard back. 1st treatment in April, operator got stuck under my grapevine resulting in large divots just left there with holes in the ground. They never came back to roll it or call to apologize. I've been a customer for many years. Not very happy about that.

Dan ** our technician is a kind and efficient person who has serviced our lawn for many years. I have faith in what he recommends and he always follows thru. He is a big part of why we are happy with TruGreen.

Service provided after cancellation due to poor service. We used to have Trugreen lawn service. I was dissatisfied several times in 2017 and 2018. In Dec 2018 they came out. I complained once again, having previously indicated by phone and email I did not want any services that did not include moss control. After complaining in Dec, they came back in January. I thought that was a re-service to make up for the prior poor work, but they billed us. I called and spoke to several people. By then the local manager called. They required I pay for both services. I finally agreed to the manager I would pay, but the account was to be cancelled and I would never use them again. I never want them back or another service. Now this week they came out and I have a bill. I am so upset right now. I hate being treated this way. It's a scam. They come do work you don't want, then force you to pay. Apparently you can't cancel the service. NEVER again.

We were to get two aerations and only got one. Additionally, the specialist that came said aeration was done, but it wasn't! He lied!!! Hence we had to reschedule the single aeration received. We were expecting Pest Control, but contract was set up as Mosquito Defense. We didn't notice the error until late into the contract term. Services were to be unlimited for a year. TruGreen said the contract year was a seasonal year, not the 12 months we believed to be receiving. The Lawn AND Pest Control final contract sent and work performed did not reflect what the salesman wrote up and we agreed to pay.

My spouse and I had opted to prepay for a season of TruGreen's service when we first moved into our home. After the first season we were unsure if we wanted to continue with their service. We randomly got a bill in the mail from them after our "prepaid season" had been complete. They wanted us to pay 50 something dollars for a service they had done. TruGreen called and I informed them that I would pay the 50 dollar balance, but needed to talk to my spouse before we continued on.

Updated on 06/27/2019: It would have been nice to have had someone call and direct this customer service complaint directly with me. Again, I had called the local number and left a message with the Supervisor Chad at ** and asked to speak to a local office rep, and never received a response. You sending a generic response to ConsumerAffairs only confirms the poor communication with your company.

I first hired TruGreen in 2018 when my lawn was in respectable condition. Somehow they managed to kill large sections - I mean down to dirt with no trace of grass. I have called many times and literally NEVER received a return call. If you call them you get call center representatives who take your information and tell you a supervisor will contact you. THEY DO NOT. Finally, through email complaints and filing with the BBB they have refunded my money. So I am left with a horrible looking lawn but they feel this is good enough. If you use this company and have any problems, be prepared for a runaround and for disappointment. HEALTHY LAWN GUARANTEE??? HAH!!!

1) Call and request service for box elder bugs. Person explains exactly how boxelder bugs are treated and why they are treated this way. Sent link to pay for service, pay online for one year of service. 2) Treatment date set by TruGreen; on date, receive message that I have requested a reschedule (did not). Receive apology and ask to be rescheduled for next day, they cannot. Schedule two more days out. Worker calls to tell me my address was inputted incorrectly and he was on the wrong side of town.

I relied on your website to monitor my remaining services under my prepaid plan. Last week it indicated I still had service remaining, but when the technician did our tree & shrub plus lawn service, I received an invoice for the service. I called to get this charge removed, but had to pay it, because the website created an incorrect perception. I am no longer a customer.

Great lawn service co. Yard looks like a golf course. They come right out if there is a problem. No weeds, no bugs. They check with us on a regular basis to see everything is okay. We have been with them about 4 years. TruGreen is the best we have used and we have had several.

Good technician. After a couple years of poor service, I think they finally have it under control. The last two years have been great. Lots of rain water along with lawn service has created a nice lawn. Keep up the good work!

All was fine and was pleased. I like my service person Sean **. He knows what to do and ans. my questions. He did weed control and I've notice the weeds dying. Sean will let me know what's going on with the yard.

Dependable! Keeps my lawn looking good! If I see a few weeds growing.... I call, and TruGreen returns and takes care of the matter: no charge! They are a great company to keep your lawn in good shape that you can be proud of! A company you can trust!

We were previously customers of an independently owned lawn service company until it was sold to TruGreen and we were offered the opportunity to remain on as customers. I can honestly say I'm glad we did. The transition was seamless and easy. The service has been excellent and reliable and the same is true of the techs/applicators. If you're home when they arrive, they will take the time to explain what they're doing and why. What I really like is the addition of the mobile phone app whereby the company contacts you to tell you of an upcoming application.

The greatest service for lawn care that there is... They show up when they say they will.. Very professional at all time.. Always calls ahead to let you know when they are coming.. You can trust that they will be there when they said they would... I will always use them and my lawn started to improve even after the first time and each visit my lawn looks better and better...

Dalin ** was here when we arrived home. He had finished and was getting ready to leave. He noticed I had opened the front door. He got out of his truck and came up and explained his procedure and what we needed to do following. He was friendly, polite and very professional in his manner. Love your service and your professionals.

I had lawn service 2 weeks ago and my yard is full of clovers. I just had a tree service for bugs a disease but I’ve noticed leaves falling off my tree. I have a disease in the tree and I was hoping that it would have been cured but it’s not.

This company has been treating my yard since January 2019. The big deal is that they are NOT SUPPOSED to be treating my yard, as I am not or never have been their client. They have a client at a similar address, and are billing him, but treating my yard. I have contacted them for 5 times now asking and finally demanding they quit treating my yard. They keep coming back anyway. I suppose I will be taking legal action to stop them from trespassing into my yard. Each time I have called, I told them clearly not to come back, and they assured me they would not. At a loss of what to say about that kind of customer service.

I spoke with one of your representative name Quinton and he went above and beyond his duties to ensure that I was receiving excellent service. He showed that he cared about the product and my satisfaction on the service. I also had the opportunity to speak with one of your specialist name Joseph **. I was so impressed with his customer service and knowledge of the product. I'm requesting that he will be my regular serviceman throughout the mosquito defense service. I highly recommend a commendation for both Mr. Quinton/Joseph ** for doing an excellent job. Again well done men and thanks.

Daniel came to my house for my first application. He was very good! However, since his visit, I’ve noticed part of my yard/lawn has lots of moles and grubs that are destroying my lawn. Do you have a treatment that gets rid of the grind and, with them gone, gets rid of the moles?

Tom “our” TruGreen expert :) was very thorough with the weed killer and fertilizer application. Very nice man :). Would recommend TruGreen to anyone :). They have always done a good job with whatever we needed done. Mosquito control is next ;).

I called and set up trugreen for two services... The tech did come out and only did the front yard as the back was locked but he never knocked or rang my bell as I would have been happy to unlock it. I have been calling Trugreen ever since and have gotten nothing but a run around ever since. To the point the people that answer the phones didn't even have a corporate number!! I finally did get it from Kelly. Basically I am a prisoner in my house for the next five days since no one can tell me when a tech will be coming out. I thought I found a great company to use from now on. Unfortunately I found just the opposite.... Monika **

Prescott ** Did an outstanding job identifying and correcting my problem. He explained the issues and offered helpful suggestions! He finished changing out a number of problematic sprinkler heads quickly. He was knowledgeable and courteous! Give that man a raise!

Joel ** outstanding service. Knock on the door to let us know that he is performing service. Always ask is there are any concerns about the lawn or service. Very knowledgeable about what need to be done to prevent weeds.

No one ever showed up and I found out they went to the wrong house again! This is the second time they have done this! They can not tell me why me trees are dying or what to do to stop this! I'm about ready to discontinue my service!

Had worker show up, sit in truck, and then place receipt on door stating service complete when nothing was done. Then throws trash on lawn while leaving. I asked for someone in charge to call me and nothing! Next, my lawn is serviced and now turning brown. Lime placed without any soil sample and too much fertilizer I guess. My lawn was pretty green with some weeds before TruGreen. Now it's brown with weeds. Calling TruGreen does no good - the rep just tries to please you then nothing.

I am very pleased with my service. They are very professional and nice to work with. They always answer any questions about my treatment and anything I need to do to follow-up after the treatment. I would recommend TruGreen to others.

I promised what they delivered and came in on time and killed every weed in the yard that we were really hoping to be dead and fertilize just at the end of the fertilizer season. It was perfect. Thank you very much.

They took a week after charging my card to come out then they serviced my neighbor's yard, not mine. When I called customer service about it they were initially apologetic, stating that they would "make it right" and told me that someone would be out Thursday or Friday. My initial call was on a Tuesday so I was OK with this resolution. Thursday came no service. Friday came no service. Saturday I tried to call and they were closed. Monday I was successful in getting a 2nd person on the phone to complain to. They were less apologetic and told me that someone had been out. I have cameras at my house so I let them know that that was not true. I was told that someone would be out later that week.

I paid in full for a year service plan on our new yard in October 2018 ($605.99) that covered aeration, seeding, etc. Our front yard and around the house was sodded and the back/side yard was not taken care of my the builder. We went to TruGreen for help mainly on the back/side yard to get it going heading into the spring and summer months of 2019. Our side and back yard have tons of dry and bare spots, and after questioning the specialist that was on site treating us that day, we were informed that the specialist believed the side yard (largest part of the yard) was not covered on our plan. He said it had not been treated in months which would explain why it looks so awful.

Buyer Beware: We had this company last year to treat our yard for mosquitoes. I enjoyed one of the technicians, very kind and professional. And that was it, nothing here nor there. They called a couple of weeks ago asking if we would like to renew our contract, to which we said "no". Then I noticed a charge from them on my credit card. My fiancé called to question it, and the extremely rude “customer service” rep told my fiancé that the print telling us everyone is on “auto renew” on the paperwork we do not have, was the same size print as the rest of the document. Never. Again. And I’ll be sure to spread the word.

So far we have only received one visit from TruGreen and have been very satisfied with both the operator and his service. Obviously, with only the first visit, we cannot comment fully, but the weeds and dandelions have greatly diminished and all the questions we asked were replied to satisfactorily. Therefore, I can only say that after the first visit, everything was to our satisfaction and we look forward to further visits and further reduction of our dandelion and weed 'plague'!

Very professional and neat. Also asked if I had any questions or concerns. I have used TRUGREEN for a number of years and have been extremely satisfied and would highly recommend their service. They are quick responders anytime you call.

This is the 3rd time TruGreen has rescheduled my service. They don't call to let me know they have rescheduled. When I first started they would keep me posted as to when they were coming out. Now I sit and wait until I finally have to call them just to find out they rescheduled without telling me. Getting tired of waiting around for them. Might have to switch lawn care services.

We Have been using TRUGREEN for three years. This year was a rough start because of this invasive weed some people know as Hairy Bittercrest, which almost took over our whole front yard. Called TruGreen because whatever they were doing didn't kill this weed. They came out and retreated the yard with something GONE! Also lawn wasn't very thick. This problem was solved very quickly. They want to do a GREAT job for you. Thank all involved.

No problem with the overall service, lawn looks great! Occasionally I talk to the specialist. Invariably, every time it’s a rout response on the ticket. Whether I’m home or not. “When I arrived, I knocked on your door to speak with you about your service. I’m sorry I missed you.” It cracks me up. I did in fact answer the door when they knocked. I did discuss my service with the specialist. You should consider a few more cut and paste options for the tickets. The specialist takes care of lawns. He can’t be expected to be a writer. Again, lawn looks GREAT!!

Grass already looking better. Even though we have a long way to go I can see light at the end of the rainbow. Weeds are shrinking and the actual coverage is getting thicker. Before the end of summer we should be set.

On 04 June 2019 at Approximately 11:00 AM, your specialist rang my door bell. By the time I answered the door he was about to apply a liquid application to my lawn. I advised the specialist that I requested granular applications. He switched to granular and started to apply wit a broadcast spreader. I watched him and believe that he missed much of the of the lawn. Time will tell when my lawn exhibits similarity to that of “ZEBRA” STRIPES.

My lawn and tree/shrub service is fine and very productive. I don't know use the mosquito service as Erlich is doing that for me. I just called yesterday because I got a call from "Trudy" that contained her introduction and then went silent. I called and confirmed that my next lawn treatment was today, (6/4) and suggested that they look at their phone technology to see what's wrong with "Trudy".

We have used TruGreen for a couple of years now and have noticed that the grass is getting thicker and greener, with a lot less weeds. The individuals that come to our yard are knowledgeable about what they are doing and help us to understand what is being done. They are careful of plantings, animals, and children.

Terry who serviced our lawn was very informative on how to treat areas that were disturbed by Telus. He gave us grass seeds and told us how to mix with soil and water daily. He also helped our weed situation on the sidewalk cracks and along fence line.

We have used TruGreen for 7 years. We are always getting compliments about how wonderful our yard looks. The technicians that come out do a great job. We would highly recommend TruGreen to anyone that wants a beautiful yard!!!

Tony called me with the results of the soil analysis and came over to add something to the front lawn to remedy the balance in the soil. He used a machine to cut into the turf to assure that the additives got into the soil. He then lightly raked, leaving just enough debris to act as a mulch. He then reseeded the front lawn. I hope this works! He worked hard on my front lawn for a couple of hours and I am very grateful to him and TruGreen for the effort and response to my concerns. Thank you Tony for being so dedicated to the needs of my lawn. I am very hopeful that this will thicken and improve the health of the turf.

When I had my spreading of lime done it was for a section of my front yard and was done very well. It took six tons of lime and the worker did a great job of putting it down. I asked for another quote for a section of old pasture and was quoted about a dollar more per bag spread for the job. That will take about 400 bags of lime making it an added 400 dollars more over the original cost and that is for a bigger job. I called back about the quote and told them about the math and they said they would get back in touch and that has been weeks ago and no contact. I guess when you buy more the price per unit spread goes up which to me is a little odd. It should stay the same or come down with larger amounts.

Sanchez is always friendly and professional. Good explanations regarding work to be done and the results of the work. He has been my lawn service person for a long time and always does good work. Please make certain adequate amount of product is being used.

Heriberto "Eddie" ** treated my lawn May 31 for insect control and he did a great job! I asked what I could do about a weed growing in the yard and he was able to explain what needed to be done. Since it is along the property line with my neighbor, he said TruGreen can treat it but until the adjoining property treats their side it is nearly impossible to get rid of the weed.

We have been customers of Tru-Green since it was Chem-Lawn and many years before that. Our lawn consistently is weed free, lush and green. The service technicians are fast and efficient and take the time to mark the lawn the day of their visit and include recommendations for care on their receipt. Several years ago, we had a bad technician and our lawn suffered and it showed. When I called Tru-Green to complain, they jumped right on it, sent one of their top people out the next day along with a member of management. They assessed the lawn and immediately started corrective treatment at no cost to me. For the remainder of the summer, I was given a nice discount on my service to make up for the problem. Now that is what I call taking customer service above and beyond. They truly are a five star company and I would freely and gladly recommend Tru-Green to anyone I know. Thank you.

Your Tree and Shrub person was very personable and very knowledgeable. He gave me some good tips on the care of the my shrubs. We were home at the time and he knocked on the door to let us know he was here.

I think the edges of property could be done better and property lines. They always seem in a rush. But, I am sure that's probably what is told to them. Other than that, most people are nice. I appreciate it!!!

I have been very satisfied with my lawn and my specialist Paul ** help over the years. However, when Paul went on vacation, another specialist serviced my lawn and it has looked shabby since. When I called about the situation I received a service call, but it didn't improve.

Started again already this year. I had an issue last year in which the tech would not show to complete the service. I was never notified. I would have to call and ask to be scheduled again which would take another 3-4 days. I always ask to talk to someone local or get a call back but never received a response. I have tried to be patient, I was hoping this year would be better.

Great service. Keep up the good work. Yard is free of weeds and the grass looks greener and healthier. My last fertilizer treatment was performed by a professional service tech. It's important to have and maintain a healthy yard and TruGreen helps with the upkeep.

We installed Zoysia grass about 10 months ago and have been maintaining the grass since installed. The grass was looking pretty sad over the last few months. So, after seeing so many TruGreen advertisements I decided to give them a call. After wailing the property with the sales agent for TruGreen I decided to give them a try. I contracted and paid upfront for the discounted package with TruGreen about 4 week ago. The level of service has been less than expected. First, the local branch does not answer their phone. The instructions that are given to the field staff are not consistent with what the salesman and I agreed to. Our lawn has two tiers (upper and lower). The first applicator that came out said he was to only treat the upper tier of our yard.

My lawn has improved 100+% since TruGreen began servicing it! I have NO weeds, the color looks green and healthy and so many favorable comments from everyone! This service is reasonable and well worth the expense! I wish that I had enrolled years ago!

Everything looks great even with all this heat. One item I would like to bring up again, please do not bill me with more than one item to pay. I am 79 and, live alone, still working full time, for how much longer -- who knows? But a very large bill is sometimes too much to handle. So, please one item due at a time. Thanks very much.

My lawn looks great and I credit in a large part to the yearly services provided by TruGreen and their lawn techs. I have subscribed to TruGreen for over 10 years and I am extremely pleased with these services and what they have done for my lawn.

I have been using TruGreen company since Nov.2018 when I paid for 12 months service. My St Augustine is yellow. I cancelled my service 3 weeks ago and still did not receive the remaining of what they owe me. I am very unhappy customer.

My yard was bad in that I had some grass but many bare spots and what I had was thin. After Trugreen came and serviced my yard and explained what I needed to do my yard is now growing and looking so much better.

I see a vast improvement in my lawn this year. Have used them in the past at another house so I expected nothing less. Highly recommend! Great communication and friendly service people. Too old to take care of my lawn myself anymore so they lift a huge burden off my shoulders.

I started with TruGreen in late August of 2018. I hired them because there were many in the neighborhood that were using them and I've seen them all over town. The biggest influence was that they are endorsed by the PGA. That speaks volumes. I put new sod in my backyard that cost a few thousand dollars. I didn't want weeds, etc. to overtake this brand new grass, so I thought that if TruGreen did a good job on the back, I would hire them at the beginning 2019 in order to do my entire yard. They did great on the sod with the fertilization and pests that burrow in it. I was so impressed with what they did in the back that I did start them on the front in January of 2019.

Agents were very thorough and friendly - they ensured the fertilizer covered the entire lawn front and back. Came to the door and discussed the service before starting. Were familiar with the property and knew the neighbors property lines. Hope this agent continues to service my lawn.

I have been using TruGreen Lawn Care plan since July of 2018. My lawn is recovering gradually since the service began. I would recommend to anyone trying to maintain the life of the lawn. However, I would like to point out that the service works when you have good grass as opposed to weeds. Also, grass takes time to grow and spread. It is unreasonable to think that a lawn full of weeds will recover in one rain season. Sometimes, you need multiple seasons before it fully recovers if you do not what to re-sod the lawn. I have had nothing but a positive experience with this service. I definitely recommend their services.

TruGreen has done a great job of restoring my neglected yard, by getting rid of the weeds and over-seeding last fall. Some areas still need attention, as soil in that part of yard is poor. Tech has listened to my concerns & paid extra attention to trouble areas, coming back on service calls to redo those areas. Pleased with their service!

The lawn Is looking great throughout the Spring season. My only concern is that some of our lilacs, peonies, and some other perennials were hit with apparent broadleaf weed control causing wilting of small portions of the plants. More care needs to be taken to avoid hitting the plants with the spray.

I am always notified of the upcoming service, which I appreciate to know when they have serviced my lawn. I am always aware of a change, if it needs to happen. I know when my property has been serviced. Sometimes, I am at home and other times, I am not. Weeds are gone from my lawn. Price is competitive.

I switched to TruGreen after about 6-7 years with a competitor I will not name here. The quality of my yard has slowly declined and no signs of improvement. Was recommended to try TruGreen so signed up. Was quoted $29.95 for initial treatment and $49.95 for all additional treatments. Communication was good, lots of welcome e-mails describing what is included as well as a list of optional services (ie; mosquito control, etc). Received email and text about the service day. It is due to the communication I did not give them 1 star, but 2.

For several years your service staff have formed numerous care activities with professionalism, thoroughness, and respect for our privacy. Ashley ** is exceptional in her personal concern for quality and effectiveness. Her ability to communicate and her caring personality are a credit to TruGreen,

Bill (Service Technician) is the best!!! Our lawn looks very nice this year (so far). Bill takes the time to explain what he is doing and why and answers all our questions thoroughly and professionally. We were not thrilled with the service last year when Bill was not our tech but so far this year things seem better.

They are attentive, fair and understanding. I've had a few minor issues just this season for the first time in 3yrs, However, they are doing their best to make up for them. I appreciate their concern on how my lawn looks, and I've always had the best looking lawn on the block. It's always green and thick.

Lawn is not green as promised. I do a better job myself. I have called to complain. They have been out with extra service that was a waste of time. The worst is an understatement. I can do a better job on my lawn myself. This is what I will be doing. Very unhappy with these people in this market. I wish I could get a refund.

Have a few dandelions growing but for the most part most are now gone. Lawn looks better than when we first moved in. The old owners did not take care of the lawn. TruGreen has helped a lot in getting weed free.

We are so far very pleased. Whenever we had a concern, TruGreen came and took care of it. I think they are kind of expensive and should give a discount to long time customers or at least to senior citizens.

We contacted them and had our first service several weeks ago related to fire ants. We were told “They will be gone!!” My husband explained to them that we were having an outdoor graduation party. We were assured it would be handled. 5-7 days they told us after the first and second treatments!! We then called them to come back out a 3rd time!! Oh. Now it takes 4-6 weeks!! Oops someone should have told you. Hence the Urgent Care appointment for myself!! The day after the grad party during which I got stung at least 6 times! Antibiotics and steroids. I won’t recommend!!! In fact they should pay for my treatment. If I could post pics of my foot and ankle I would. At least it wasn’t a guest.

Have been quite impressed with the expertise of personnel in providing excellent information at time of application. It is almost unbelievable as to the come back of my yard; although, I did a lot of weed and different types of grasses myself.. At the present am waiting to get my grub treatment in order for the grass to move into those bare places.

The previous owners did nothing with the lawn or bushes for 45 years except for mowing the lawn and trimming the bushes. It showed when we purchased the service two years ago. TruGreen has worked on the lawn and bushes, and the result is a beautiful yard. Thank you, TruGreen.

I used TruGreen about 15 years ago for two years. While their products are excellent their business model is an absolute fiasco. The customer never talks to the actual people servicing your account, rather you will talk to a distant central customer service agent. I had numerous scheduling issues in my past dealings, they would show up unscheduled and treat my lawn while my pets were roaming the property. This time I called and got everything set up and then was told I would be talking to an auditor in 2-3 business days. I eventually had to call them back, I was halfway through the audit and the line was disconnected and NO callback. I called them back, they apologized but informed me that it would be a few days once again before auditing would be contacting me again. Never have heard back, and don't want to hear from this at this point. Terribly managed company.

The weed control is not effective. My lawn has more weeds and brown patches after one year of service despite multiple phone conversations with the TruGreen office. I have finally terminated the service.

Takes good care of my lawn. Consistently have a nice lawn weed free. Treats my lawn as if it were theirs. Always talks to me about what they did and what to expect moving forward. Takes time to address any concerns or issues I may have regarding my lawn.

We moved from our prior lawn care provider to TruGreen when TruGreen provided a very competitive proposal. Our experience is that TruGreen provided excellent service, as our lawn has never looked better with effective weed control. We were away when this happened. Looks like they did a good job and there are no weeds as yet. We had snow since this was done so it is too early to tell if the weed part was effective. The grass looked nice when we could see it.

We have been very pleased with the results of using TruGreen Lawn Care over the past 2 seasons. Our technicians are always professional and careful. We have noticed that our grass is much greener and we have finally reduced the number of weeds.

We started with the so many treatments for a discounted price for 2018. The 4th or 5th treatment they sprayed something on the grass without telling us. I noticed within about a week that the prettiest thickest grass in my yard was dead. I called and a tech came out and said they sprayed some type of chemical (can’t recall the name but it started with a p) that killed all weeds. I said it killed grass not weeds. That’s when he told me that St. Augustine grass, fescue, and other familiar grass was considered weeds and what he sprayed killed everything except Dallas grass and Bermuda grass. They promised a free aeration which they did. Still no grass.

I have been using TruGreen for 7 years. The lawn was doing well until 2 years ago. Started to have lots of weeds. I would call. They would redo the application but no the weeds kept getting worse. Last year I started to notice bare spots all of the back yard. I called concerned that it was grub damage. They sent someone out to check, he said it wasn't Grub damage. After he left my sister dug up some of the dirt and found the grub worms. I took pictures and sent it to them. They said that spring of 2019 they would take care of it. 1 month ago they said they did slice seeding. My lawn is still full of bare spots no grass is growing. I feel like I'm just getting the runaround. They say they stand behind their service. I want them to fix the lawn they damaged. I paid for grub control and my lawn is a mess!

We've been a customer for a number of years. There was only one year that we had weed problems and TruGreen did sent a service rep out to correct this. Since then we have had extremely excellent service. Your employees are all very courteous and professional.

After years of attempting to care for my own lawn, I had more weeds and clover than grass. I would start each spring with best intentions and then not follow through after the first or second treatment. I decided it was time to bring in the pros. A neighbor uses TruGreen and always has a great yard so my choice was made. We have only had one treatment so there is still a long way to go. However, just the first treatment has had a great impact on my weed crop. I am excited to see the continued improvement with each additional treatment.

I have purchased a full treatment plan every year since TruGreen bought the company I used to use. Last fall I had my lawn aerated and overseeded by TruGreen. I was assured my lawn would benefit from this. (It costs $700). This year, my lawn is a disaster. Bald patches everywhere, looks the worst it's looked in the 15 years I've owned my house. It used to be lush and full. What happened over the winter to cause this?

The technician arrived on time, spoke to me at the front door explaining what he would be doing before beginning his job. Did a thorough job front and back. He left me a slip which listed the agents he applied.

Aaron is our service technician and he has been doing a wonderful job so far. He explains possible solutions for the issues that we have with our yard (red thread). This is the best service we have had so far, and the best technician.

I've used TruGreen for years. Then a friend asked me to try someone who is starting his own business caring for lawns. Hard to say "no" so I gave him a try. In less than a year, I had more weeds in my yard than in any of the past 10 years. So I left the new guy a message and asked him to call me to discuss it. 2 weeks later he called. 2 weeks?! Yes, the friend of a friend was less expensive but I had weeds that were taking over my yard. Lesson learned... you get what you pay for. I got weeds and a return phone call 14 days later. We will never hire TruGreen again. They don't do a complete job in your yard. We had two services; after the second service we decided to wait instead of having them come again right away, and we were very disappointed when we could see a path through the middle of our yard showing where they had done a treatment and the rest of the lawn was the normal color. They just want you to sign up for a service plan and then you can't tell that they are ripping you off. Oh and don't even bother to try to get them to fix it!

Called the 1-800 number about my lawn service. Asked them when my next scheduled service is because it doesn't show me at all online. She tells me, "Tomorrow." I asked, "Is that going to fix the weed problem since that is what my lawn is now." She then gave me a corporate Number to call and they tell me, "That's not what we do here." So there are two Customer service lines. No one to give me a answer. The lady on the phone tells me that she can have the local branch manager call but can't promise they call today. It is 10 am. Worst experience in Customer relations.

I am part of the maintenance and sprinkler programs and have been, it is like pulling teeth to get someone out to open my sprinklers. I had appointment set then they said they had nothing on the books. Now they have me set up for next week but cannot tell me when, unbelievable.

I was called by a TruGreen specialist after requesting a quote online and getting a price of over 2K. She was very pleasant and we discussed my options. I explained I was only interested in treating my backyard for ticks. We also discussed how safe the products are because my main concern was my dog. She let me know that once the products is completely dry, my dog would be safe to roam. I waited a week for them to come out to do the initial service, with monthly services for the next 4 months. She instructed me that my dog would need to be inside and the back gate unlocked. I received a text message saying they would be there between 3-5. I was not home (as I was told I didn’t need to be). I get home and see the receipt on my door that he had been there. I tell my son to make sure he takes the dog out front as the backyard was treated so he couldn’t go out back until the following day. My son tells me he didn’t see the guy go in the back.

Even though the local office manager tried very hard to right the wrongs, I would never recommend this company. Their system of letting you know the night before or morning of a treatment is very unacceptable as you cannot reach anyone to let them know that this might not be convenient for you, the customer. I have repeatedly asked to be notified with enough notice to try to arrange to be home if I had specific issues I wanted addressed or need, for example, to have the leaves removed from the lawn before they came to do a lawn treatment.

I contacted TruGreen for a quote and decided to go with them. It has been a month and still haven’t seen them. They have canceled 2 weeks in a row due to ‘truck problems’. I have called 3 times only to be told the technician is only in my area on Mondays and they don’t know what happened. They have rescheduled me, another week off, on a Tuesday... OK, seriously. I have called the direct branch in Carpentersville, IL and talked to Stephanie. I requested her supervisor, Jason, to call me back... Never happened. I also emailed on 5/13/2019 and never got a response. Email # **. Save yourself a ton of time and go with a reliable company, not TruGreen. Branch # **.

I was outside with my dog, heard the TruGreen truck pull up, brought him in. I watched the guy sit in his car on the phone for 20 minutes, finally came out, put signs up all over my lawn that fertilizer had been applied, and guess what, drove off -- without applying anything in the grass. I called to complain and he was sent back within 30 minutes - he was here for about 3 minutes, barely any pellets in my grass, and left. My lawn is +1 acre. It does not take someone 3 minutes to apply fertilizer in a lawn that is over one acre. Very disappointed in the service and will be cancelling moving forward. Makes me wonder how many other times this has happened.

He turned on my sprinkler system. He found a leaking pipe in the front yard and had to remove the grass and fix the pipe, which took him a while but he got it done! He was a very pleasant man. He even flagged the broken pipe area so your mowers, who come on Thursday, will know where the "fix" is. Thanks!

I signed up for the tick and mosquito service to include 4 applications. I set the service up over three weeks and still have not received my first application. Every time I call I am told a different date for my service. No one has come on any of the dates provided. My online account does not reflect anything either. I am super frustrated at this point. I was told that I would receive a service today and if it does not get done I will be dropping TruGreen and looking for another option.

Very very pleased - for only 2 treatments my yard looks 100% better than previous years. First time using TruGreen - reasonable rate and tech interacts with me at each visit to assess my satisfaction and any problems - would recommend.

I first dealt with TruGreen last year as they had initiated mosquito control. After the first application I was offered a deal for lawn service for the remainder of the season. I was so impressed with the attitude and results for my lawn that I cancelled my existing lawn service in favour of TruGreen this year. They check in at every visit and every one of them is personable and knowledgeable. I'm an introvert and never normally answer my door but these men are amazing and I look forward to each visit. My lawn looked so good last year, I stopped worrying about weeds this Spring. I'm in good hands.

I signed up with Garret for the 29.95 advertised price and additional treatments later at my discretion for 44.00 a treatment. I received a call and talked to Mike. He informed me I had to have 6 treatments. I explained to him I didn't want that many and Garrett said I could get the treatments I wanted. I gave Garret my credit card # and he said someone would be out in 5-7 days. Mike said I couldn't sign up unless I got 6 treatments, if I wanted less he doubled the price. I called at the beginning of May 2019 in order to become a customer. I told the representative that I would be out of town on the 6th, but they scheduled my first appointment for the 6th. I saw this through the app. Never did I receive a phone call. I rescheduled for the 9th as I would be home all day. The 9th arrives and no show. Looked at the app and it showed my appointment had been rescheduled for the 10th. Again, I did not receive a phone call or any notification of the change. I called again voicing my frustration with the lack of communication and rescheduled for May 13th between 8-11am. I was assured I would receive a confirmation phone call on the 10th.

Called and spoke on a chat a week ago and complained about dandelions and crabgrass. Still haven’t received a call back from anyone nor have they been out. Paid to in full so I guess I’m off the priority list. I requested a certain technician (Kewaun **) who was highly recommended. They said he would be sent but he wasn’t. Then I was informed after I spent my money that they can’t guarantee a technician. I stopped dealing with them years ago because of this. I don’t leave bad reviews but this must stop!! I’m sick of people getting over and businesses being unprofessional!!

JOSEPH **.... specialist on 4/26/19. He was courteous, professional and knowledgable... He rang our bell on arrival and spoke with my husband... also rang the bell when he was done. We had a huge rainfall, w/ thunder... lightning that night. I believe the treatment used was liquid and worry that it might all have been washed away. Should the treatment be re-done?

Application was good, but still have creeping Charlie where I requested special attention near to the neigbor's lawn that is also your customer! There is also creeping Charlie by the utility pole by the driveway, another area I requested special attention to, as it never seems to get cared for. The lawn is lush green and looking great with all the rain we are getting! Thank you. Pauline

After the Utility Company destroyed my front yard with backhoes and machinery I had given up on the yard. TruGreen has aerated, seeded and fertilized my yard. It is now the talk of the neighborhood with its dark green luscious grass. I am totally satisfied with the service and the Manager who took care of my concerns. They have my business for years to come. The yard has never looked this good.

Very happy with the employee. This was my first application and I paid the full amount which was on the internet bill. I was told the first time I would only pay 1/2 price. Again the employee was fantastic. He was very professional and efficient.

John does great job, he really knows his stuff. The yard was outstanding last year. Should have been aerated by now, but apparently not been done. My landscaper says it has to be done soon. Reds to be done ASAP.

Ben ** came by to look and black areas that had formed on our evergreen trees. He took pictures with his phone, then took some samples to be checked at your office. He was pleasant and expressed concern about our problem, then sprayed all the trees to help eliminate the problem..

There is no indication that I have been using this lawn service for years, as it has weeds, weeds and more weeds; multiple bald areas; grub issues (& only because I had another service this past winter, I finally have what may be seen as healthy green grass, so maybe it is a positive start to positive change). Communicated concerns not addressed, clearly no intent to help my lawn look like a serviced lawn, and even though I continue to contact to stop service, someone continues to come out and state they have provided a service & bill me. I've challenged TruGreen to use my lawn as an advertisement for their services; but still no takers--because they can't, the lawn looks as though no company services has ever been provided. In fact, the lawn has deteriorated terribly. Don't waste your money!

Have had TruGreen for many years! Always been satisfied until this year! Went up on price with no notice. Never call to let us know they are coming. Just show up. Technician says he come to door but he never rings door bell or knock. The main thing is the way our lawn looks! It is nothing but weeds. Never has our yard looked so bad! Last guy that came said it was the rain! Cancelled my service today!!

My tree/scrub guy Tom is GREAT. I can't ever tell you who is my lawn guy because the same tech never does my lawn twice. Last month I come home and I have a 27,000 lb truck sitting inside my gates on my new marble driveway!! No idea what he was thinking!! As soon as my contact is up I am done with TruGreen!!

The company calls to tell me when they are coming. Their tech shows up and does the work - fertilizer and weed killer, so far. The lawn is responding to the care. The men have been efficient and friendly. I am pleased with the results.

When I chose TruGreen last year over three other companies, large and small, I was looking for someone to aerate, fertilize, kill weeds and spray for mosquitoes. This huge nationwide company, TruGreen, actually offered me better service than the other three companies, and for less money! And I am not disappointed. TruGreen techs are thorough, knowledgeable, clean cut and uniformed. I receive a written report every time they perform a service. I just renewed for another year at a totally reasonable price.

I spoke with David ** about the condition of the grass in my yard. He was able to identify the problems and he addressed it with the application of what was needed to help with improving the condition of my yard. He was very helpful with me and agreed with my application of peat moss to improve the condition of my grass.

Missed areas - Service provider need to treat entire front lawn. South side of driveway is not being fully treated and weeds are thriving. Please stop by and see area needed. You can tell my lawn by mowing level between mine and neighbor.

Have had TruGreen for many years. All treatments have been excellent. Technician always checks in with us and asks if we are satisfied, which we are. James has done a great job. We previously had another company, but did not like their service and communication. So we cancelled them and called Tru-Green.

We received our TruHealth Lawn Service today. Sorry, we were not able to speak with the person performing the service. We have been very happy and satisfied for many years with TruGreen and that is why we continue with their service as the years go by.

We used TruGreen for a few years and were pleased with the results. Good communication from our rep and the service was reliable and produced good results. We would have continued using them if we knew they offered an organic service as well however switched providers to go organic before we knew.

I requested a follow up lawn service due to patches of light green has shown up in my lawn after a regular lawn service had been applied. When Darrell ** the specialist showed up he saw the light green patches and indicated the lawn needed iron granules. He said that the company was currently out of iron granules but he could apply another round of fertilizer which had some iron included. He did the application last week but the light green patches are still evident. I would like to have an application of iron granules applied to rectify this problem. Please have a specialist apply the iron as soon as the company has a new supply.

My backyard is pretty barren and I requested a representative to come out and give me a plan to improve the lawn. I had a conversation with a rep who promised to come out April 8 and also to call me since I was out of town. I never received the call. I have called the office at least twice with promises to contact me that didn’t transpire. I have filled out surveys and chatted online with representatives who all made promises. The most recent was last Thursday and the representative promised to escalate my complaints. I have heard nothing. I don’t have the free time to continuously beg for contact. Based on reviews I paid the entire season in advance. I want to terminate my contract and get a partial refund. Billl ** **.

Hired TruGreen out of Plano, TX. Specialist placed placard on front door stating 9 pounds fertilizer used BEFORE he ever started. After viewing NEST cameras, I noticed "specialist" missed entire east side of my house and large swaths of rear yard. I did get to clean up fertilizer left on sidewalk, driveway and street. Specialist was at residence less than 5 minutes. Customer service said manager would call within 2 days. REALLY!

I really wish I would have looked at these reviews before I hired TruGreen. I thought they were a reputable company, but I have been TRU-ly disappointed. We have had service with them for over a year and we primarily needed our grass to be reseeded and weed control. We chose the package where they also come during the winter to treat the soil, so as to have better results come spring. I have been shocked to see that now that everything has come in green, over 50% of our lawn is now weeds and we have weeds in our garden area which was mainly the reason we hired to TruGreen to begin with!

I received an unsolicited phone call from a TruGreen representative, who opened with "We've just been notified by the Department of Health" about the presence of West Nile Virus in our state, and he wanted to sell me a mosquito-repellent treatment. By virtue of my profession, I knew there had been no such notification, and stated so. The representative backpedaled, saying "well, it was around last summer" (as it is, every summer---but not in May, when the phone call took place). They had obviously received no notification from the Department of Health. But I suspect they may soon receive one from the Department of Consumer Protection. I have no idea of the quality of their mosquito-repellent treatment, but I am concerned with the use of misinformation to sell it.

Love Robert ** and only want him to do our lawn, other technicians have been out and they do not compare to Robert in his courteousness and professionalism. Some of our neighbors have been very displeased with the service they received from TruGreen and switched to other services.

Don't let them treat your yard if you have St. Augustine grass. They have completely destroyed my grass with their chemicals and don't really care. I cancelled my contract and will never use them again. Total disappointment.

We did not renew our lawn care services this year due to dissatisfaction with TruGreen. We had requested our front lawn and side be done this year since we now have a puppy and we don’t want him exposed to chemicals in the backyard. The price we were quoted was unreasonable. We sent an email on 4/22/19 to cancel all services and phone calls. On 4/29/19 we got a text that someone was coming to treat the lawn. We called TruGreen, explained we did not want services but they came while we were away and treated the lawn. Terrible communication. Would not recommend this company.

I started TruGreen lawn and tree/shrub service about a year ago. My lawn was in great shape when they took over. About 6 months into treatments, I began to notice my St Augustine beginning to brown in backyard. I called for service at least four times and never got the same diagnosis. I heard things like stress, fungus, some kind of bug... Things got worse and I finally got hold of a manager who sent out his “expert.” He diagnosed brown patch which would be easily treatable. As time went on After more phone calls, all the grass died! 4 pallets worth of St Augustine. I spoke with manager one more time and he said we will wait till spring to see what happens and he would follow up. Never happened, grass dead, down to the dirt. I had my neighbor’s lawn keeper look at it and he showed me cinch bug and grub worm damage everywhere. This was easily preventable.

While we absolutely love our service guy Stephen **, the customer service people are terrible in resolving issues. Don’t waste your time referring a friend. You have to get the friend to go to a website and find you. Then you have to go back to the website to get the $20.00 gift card. Not worth it. Let them solicit their own customers. The lawn is green, the only reason we stay with TruGreen is because Stephen ** (branch# 5835) is so great to us. I couldn’t even leave my complaint on their website - no place to leave it.

My neighbor sprayed his lawn with your product. Within minutes I had a lot of trouble breathing. I felt like I had run 20 miles without stopping and could not get enough air in my lungs. It almost killed me. And those applying these deadly chemicals do not wear a mask or protective suits. My sister's neighbor used your stuff and it killed her puppy and sent her mother to the hospital with a heart attack. I know the EPA of the Trump Admin is removing restrictions on pesticides. And you tell your customers everything is safe.

My scheduled visit - The man was very pleasant and efficient. When I offered to show him how the gate unlocked, he said he knew because he had been here before many times and remembered us and our dog. He was very nice.
