The technician arrived on time, spoke to me at the front door explaining what he would be doing before beginning his job. Did a thorough job front and back. He left me a slip which listed the agents he applied.

I've used TruGreen for years. Then a friend asked me to try someone who is starting his own business caring for lawns. Hard to say "no" so I gave him a try. In less than a year, I had more weeds in my yard than in any of the past 10 years. So I left the new guy a message and asked him to call me to discuss it. 2 weeks later he called. 2 weeks?! Yes, the friend of a friend was less expensive but I had weeds that were taking over my yard. Lesson learned... you get what you pay for. I got weeds and a return phone call 14 days later. We will never hire TruGreen again. They don't do a complete job in your yard. We had two services; after the second service we decided to wait instead of having them come again right away, and we were very disappointed when we could see a path through the middle of our yard showing where they had done a treatment and the rest of the lawn was the normal color. They just want you to sign up for a service plan and then you can't tell that they are ripping you off. Oh and don't even bother to try to get them to fix it!

Called the 1-800 number about my lawn service. Asked them when my next scheduled service is because it doesn't show me at all online. She tells me, "Tomorrow." I asked, "Is that going to fix the weed problem since that is what my lawn is now." She then gave me a corporate Number to call and they tell me, "That's not what we do here." So there are two Customer service lines. No one to give me a answer. The lady on the phone tells me that she can have the local branch manager call but can't promise they call today. It is 10 am. Worst experience in Customer relations.

I am part of the maintenance and sprinkler programs and have been, it is like pulling teeth to get someone out to open my sprinklers. I had appointment set then they said they had nothing on the books. Now they have me set up for next week but cannot tell me when, unbelievable.

I was called by a TruGreen specialist after requesting a quote online and getting a price of over 2K. She was very pleasant and we discussed my options. I explained I was only interested in treating my backyard for ticks. We also discussed how safe the products are because my main concern was my dog. She let me know that once the products is completely dry, my dog would be safe to roam. I waited a week for them to come out to do the initial service, with monthly services for the next 4 months. She instructed me that my dog would need to be inside and the back gate unlocked. I received a text message saying they would be there between 3-5. I was not home (as I was told I didn’t need to be). I get home and see the receipt on my door that he had been there. I tell my son to make sure he takes the dog out front as the backyard was treated so he couldn’t go out back until the following day. My son tells me he didn’t see the guy go in the back.
I go outside and look around and find a yard sign in the front yard by my mailbox that my lawn was treated. I proceed to call TruGreen and find out they did not do my backyard at all, only my front. I tell them that is a mistake and I specifically requested the back be done. She tells my they can come out again in 2 weeks. I was upset and explained they made a mistake and should take steps to come out sooner. She said she will have a manager call me. She said, "You will hear from them if not by the end of today, first thing tomorrow morning." I said, "OK." Well no surprise, I received NO call. I call back and am very frustrated. The new girl explains that it takes 24-48 hours for a phone call back. I tell her I want the money credited back to my card, as they billed me for an application that I did not agree to. My backyard was supposed to be treated, not my front.
She then tells me I only got a price for the front. I told her that was incorrect, why would I want to treat my front yard for ticks and not the back. She said the price was for the front. I said ok, great, the backyard should be a lot cheaper because my front yard is bigger than my backyard. Realizing she now screwed up, she tells me to hold. She comes back and tells me no one can talk to me and that they will “split” the application with me. I told her NO. I said I would dispute the charge with my bank and then they agreed to refund the full amount but would be cancelling my contract for all future treatments. I said ok. I now have to find another company to treat my yard. Three weeks wasted on TruGreen.

Even though the local office manager tried very hard to right the wrongs, I would never recommend this company. Their system of letting you know the night before or morning of a treatment is very unacceptable as you cannot reach anyone to let them know that this might not be convenient for you, the customer. I have repeatedly asked to be notified with enough notice to try to arrange to be home if I had specific issues I wanted addressed or need, for example, to have the leaves removed from the lawn before they came to do a lawn treatment.
The lawn was looking very poorly in spite of all their treatments so I was told that aeration and reseeding was required. Due to the carelessness of the technician, we now have grass grown in every flower bed, in all the cracks of the sidewalk and driveway. Do not hire this company. To talk to anyone, you have to go through a central business office which might be on the other side of the county from where you are. They are too big, too commercial and only interested in quantity and not quality.

I contacted TruGreen for a quote and decided to go with them. It has been a month and still haven’t seen them. They have canceled 2 weeks in a row due to ‘truck problems’. I have called 3 times only to be told the technician is only in my area on Mondays and they don’t know what happened. They have rescheduled me, another week off, on a Tuesday... OK, seriously. I have called the direct branch in Carpentersville, IL and talked to Stephanie. I requested her supervisor, Jason, to call me back... Never happened. I also emailed on 5/13/2019 and never got a response. Email # **. Save yourself a ton of time and go with a reliable company, not TruGreen. Branch # **.

I was outside with my dog, heard the TruGreen truck pull up, brought him in. I watched the guy sit in his car on the phone for 20 minutes, finally came out, put signs up all over my lawn that fertilizer had been applied, and guess what, drove off -- without applying anything in the grass. I called to complain and he was sent back within 30 minutes - he was here for about 3 minutes, barely any pellets in my grass, and left. My lawn is +1 acre. It does not take someone 3 minutes to apply fertilizer in a lawn that is over one acre. Very disappointed in the service and will be cancelling moving forward. Makes me wonder how many other times this has happened.

He turned on my sprinkler system. He found a leaking pipe in the front yard and had to remove the grass and fix the pipe, which took him a while but he got it done! He was a very pleasant man. He even flagged the broken pipe area so your mowers, who come on Thursday, will know where the "fix" is. Thanks!

I signed up for the tick and mosquito service to include 4 applications. I set the service up over three weeks and still have not received my first application. Every time I call I am told a different date for my service. No one has come on any of the dates provided. My online account does not reflect anything either. I am super frustrated at this point. I was told that I would receive a service today and if it does not get done I will be dropping TruGreen and looking for another option.

Very very pleased - for only 2 treatments my yard looks 100% better than previous years. First time using TruGreen - reasonable rate and tech interacts with me at each visit to assess my satisfaction and any problems - would recommend.

I first dealt with TruGreen last year as they had initiated mosquito control. After the first application I was offered a deal for lawn service for the remainder of the season. I was so impressed with the attitude and results for my lawn that I cancelled my existing lawn service in favour of TruGreen this year. They check in at every visit and every one of them is personable and knowledgeable. I'm an introvert and never normally answer my door but these men are amazing and I look forward to each visit. My lawn looked so good last year, I stopped worrying about weeds this Spring. I'm in good hands.

I signed up with Garret for the 29.95 advertised price and additional treatments later at my discretion for 44.00 a treatment. I received a call and talked to Mike. He informed me I had to have 6 treatments. I explained to him I didn't want that many and Garrett said I could get the treatments I wanted. I gave Garret my credit card # and he said someone would be out in 5-7 days. Mike said I couldn't sign up unless I got 6 treatments, if I wanted less he doubled the price. I have neighbors who get less treatments. Garrett's call with me should be honored because it was recorded. I would like someone to call me back regarding this. Thank You, Diane **

I called at the beginning of May 2019 in order to become a customer. I told the representative that I would be out of town on the 6th, but they scheduled my first appointment for the 6th. I saw this through the app. Never did I receive a phone call. I rescheduled for the 9th as I would be home all day. The 9th arrives and no show. Looked at the app and it showed my appointment had been rescheduled for the 10th. Again, I did not receive a phone call or any notification of the change. I called again voicing my frustration with the lack of communication and rescheduled for May 13th between 8-11am. I was assured I would receive a confirmation phone call on the 10th.
So at approximately 2pm on the 10th, I called and was told for sure by close of business I would receive a phone call. Never did. Called this morning and found out an appointment was never scheduled. The local branch sent a message to the representative stating they weren't available and no further effort was put into trying to contact me. The representative attempted to contact the local branch and left a message. I asked for the local branch number and of course it says it has been changed or disconnected. My advice based off my experience is go with someone else. I should point out that I opted not to pay for my service all at once, even though the original representative kept pushing it. I chose to pay as I go and I am glad I did. My advise is to choose a different company and save yourself the hassle.

Called and spoke on a chat a week ago and complained about dandelions and crabgrass. Still haven’t received a call back from anyone nor have they been out. Paid to in full so I guess I’m off the priority list. I requested a certain technician (Kewaun **) who was highly recommended. They said he would be sent but he wasn’t. Then I was informed after I spent my money that they can’t guarantee a technician. I stopped dealing with them years ago because of this. I don’t leave bad reviews but this must stop!! I’m sick of people getting over and businesses being unprofessional!!

JOSEPH **.... specialist on 4/26/19. He was courteous, professional and knowledgable... He rang our bell on arrival and spoke with my husband... also rang the bell when he was done. We had a huge rainfall, w/ thunder... lightning that night. I believe the treatment used was liquid and worry that it might all have been washed away. Should the treatment be re-done?

Application was good, but still have creeping Charlie where I requested special attention near to the neigbor's lawn that is also your customer! There is also creeping Charlie by the utility pole by the driveway, another area I requested special attention to, as it never seems to get cared for. After the Utility Company destroyed my front yard with backhoes and machinery I had given up on the yard. TruGreen has aerated, seeded and fertilized my yard. It is now the talk of the neighborhood with its dark green luscious grass. I am totally satisfied with the service and the Manager who took care of my concerns. They have my business for years to come. The yard has never looked this good.

Very happy with the employee. This was my first application and I paid the full amount which was on the internet bill. I was told the first time I would only pay 1/2 price. Again the employee was fantastic. He was very professional and efficient.

John does great job, he really knows his stuff. The yard was outstanding last year. Should have been aerated by now, but apparently not been done. My landscaper says it has to be done soon. Reds to be done ASAP.

Ben ** came by to look and black areas that had formed on our evergreen trees. He took pictures with his phone, then took some samples to be checked at your office. He was pleasant and expressed concern about our problem, then sprayed all the trees to help eliminate the problem..

There is no indication that I have been using this lawn service for years, as it has weeds, weeds and more weeds; multiple bald areas; grub issues (& only because I had another service this past winter, I finally have what may be seen as healthy green grass, so maybe it is a positive start to positive change). Communicated concerns not addressed, clearly no intent to help my lawn look like a serviced lawn, and even though I continue to contact to stop service, someone continues to come out and state they have provided a service & bill me. I've challenged TruGreen to use my lawn as an advertisement for their services; but still no takers--because they can't, the lawn looks as though no company services has ever been provided. In fact, the lawn has deteriorated terribly. Don't waste your money!

Have had TruGreen for many years! Always been satisfied until this year! Went up on price with no notice. Never call to let us know they are coming. Just show up. Technician says he come to door but he never rings door bell or knock. The main thing is the way our lawn looks! It is nothing but weeds. Never has our yard looked so bad! Last guy that came said it was the rain! Cancelled my service today!!

My tree/scrub guy Tom is GREAT. I can't ever tell you who is my lawn guy because the same tech never does my lawn twice. Last month I come home and I have a 27,000 lb truck sitting inside my gates on my new marble driveway!! No idea what he was thinking!! As soon as my contact is up I am done with TruGreen!!

The company calls to tell me when they are coming. Their tech shows up and does the work - fertilizer and weed killer, so far. The lawn is responding to the care. The men have been efficient and friendly. I am pleased with the results.

When I chose TruGreen last year over three other companies, large and small, I was looking for someone to aerate, fertilize, kill weeds and spray for mosquitoes. This huge nationwide company, TruGreen, actually offered me better service than the other three companies, and for less money! And I am not disappointed. TruGreen techs are thorough, knowledgeable, clean cut and uniformed. I receive a written report every time they perform a service. I just renewed for another year at a totally reasonable price.

I spoke with David ** about the condition of the grass in my yard. He was able to identify the problems and he addressed it with the application of what was needed to help with improving the condition of my yard. He was very helpful with me and agreed with my application of peat moss to improve the condition of my grass.

Missed areas - Service provider need to treat entire front lawn. South side of driveway is not being fully treated and weeds are thriving. Please stop by and see area needed. You can tell my lawn by mowing level between mine and neighbor.

Have had TruGreen for many years. All treatments have been excellent. Technician always checks in with us and asks if we are satisfied, which we are. James has done a great job. We previously had another company, but did not like their service and communication. So we cancelled them and called Tru-Green.

We used TruGreen for a few years and were pleased with the results. Good communication from our rep and the service was reliable and produced good results. We would have continued using them if we knew they offered an organic service as well however switched providers to go organic before we knew.

I requested a follow up lawn service due to patches of light green has shown up in my lawn after a regular lawn service had been applied. When Darrell ** the specialist showed up he saw the light green patches and indicated the lawn needed iron granules. He said that the company was currently out of iron granules but he could apply another round of fertilizer which had some iron included. He did the application last week but the light green patches are still evident. I would like to have an application of iron granules applied to rectify this problem. Please have a specialist apply the iron as soon as the company has a new supply.

My backyard is pretty barren and I requested a representative to come out and give me a plan to improve the lawn. I had a conversation with a rep who promised to come out April 8 and also to call me since I was out of town. I never received the call. I have called the office at least twice with promises to contact me that didn’t transpire. I have filled out surveys and chatted online with representatives who all made promises. The most recent was last Thursday and the representative promised to escalate my complaints. I have heard nothing. I don’t have the free time to continuously beg for contact. Based on reviews I paid the entire season in advance. I want to terminate my contract and get a partial refund. Billl ** **.

Hired TruGreen out of Plano, TX. Specialist placed placard on front door stating 9 pounds fertilizer used BEFORE he ever started. After viewing NEST cameras, I noticed "specialist" missed entire east side of my house and large swaths of rear yard. I did get to clean up fertilizer left on sidewalk, driveway and street. Specialist was at residence less than 5 minutes. Customer service said manager would call within 2 days. REALLY!

I really wish I would have looked at these reviews before I hired TruGreen. I thought they were a reputable company, but I have been TRU-ly disappointed. We have had service with them for over a year and we primarily needed our grass to be reseeded and weed control. We chose the package where they also come during the winter to treat the soil, so as to have better results come spring. I have been shocked to see that now that everything has come in green, over 50% of our lawn is now weeds and we have weeds in our garden area which was mainly the reason we hired to TruGreen to begin with!
What a waste of money to be back to where we started (actually worse, because we have MORE weeds). I was banking on their reputation, but I should have gone with a local small business. Also, after seeing here from others how poor the customer service is, I almost feel as though it would waste my time to try and reconcile this with the company. Oh, if only I had come here first instead of waiting until I was dissatisfied with my service. I'll know much better next time.

I received an unsolicited phone call from a TruGreen representative, who opened with "We've just been notified by the Department of Health" about the presence of West Nile Virus in our state, and he wanted to sell me a mosquito-repellent treatment. By virtue of my profession, I knew there had been no such notification, and stated so. The representative backpedaled, saying "well, it was around last summer" (as it is, every summer---but not in May, when the phone call took place). They had obviously received no notification from the Department of Health. But I suspect they may soon receive one from the Department of Consumer Protection. I have no idea of the quality of their mosquito-repellent treatment, but I am concerned with the use of misinformation to sell it.

Don't let them treat your yard if you have St. Augustine grass. They have completely destroyed my grass with their chemicals and don't really care. I cancelled my contract and will never use them again. Total disappointment.

We did not renew our lawn care services this year due to dissatisfaction with TruGreen. We had requested our front lawn and side be done this year since we now have a puppy and we don’t want him exposed to chemicals in the backyard. The price we were quoted was unreasonable. We sent an email on 4/22/19 to cancel all services and phone calls. On 4/29/19 we got a text that someone was coming to treat the lawn. We called TruGreen, explained we did not want services but they came while we were away and treated the lawn. Terrible communication. Would not recommend this company.

I started TruGreen lawn and tree/shrub service about a year ago. My lawn was in great shape when they took over. About 6 months into treatments, I began to notice my St Augustine beginning to brown in backyard. I called for service at least four times and never got the same diagnosis. I heard things like stress, fungus, some kind of bug... Things got worse and I finally got hold of a manager who sent out his “expert.” He diagnosed brown patch which would be easily treatable. As time went on After more phone calls, all the grass died! 4 pallets worth of St Augustine. I spoke with manager one more time and he said we will wait till spring to see what happens and he would follow up. Never happened, grass dead, down to the dirt. I had my neighbor’s lawn keeper look at it and he showed me cinch bug and grub worm damage everywhere. This was easily preventable.
I hired TruGreen with expectations to take care of my lawn, but they misdiagnosed over and over again. Now, they will do nothing about this. No follow up, no nothing. This cost me a lot of money and was very preventable. I was so disappointed with their lack of concern for this huge error, that I had to cancel the lawn service. The agent I canceled with didn’t really care either. They asked if I needed a service call!!!! I need someone that really knows what they are doing and really cares how my lawn looks. I know the guy that does my trees and shrubs, and he’s doing a good job, but the lawn was an expensive disaster.

While we absolutely love our service guy Stephen **, the customer service people are terrible in resolving issues. Don’t waste your time referring a friend. You have to get the friend to go to a website and find you. Then you have to go back to the website to get the $20.00 gift card. Not worth it. Let them solicit their own customers. The lawn is green, the only reason we stay with TruGreen is because Stephen ** (branch# 5835) is so great to us. I couldn’t even leave my complaint on their website - no place to leave it.

My neighbor sprayed his lawn with your product. Within minutes I had a lot of trouble breathing. I felt like I had run 20 miles without stopping and could not get enough air in my lungs. It almost killed me. And those applying these deadly chemicals do not wear a mask or protective suits. My sister's neighbor used your stuff and it killed her puppy and sent her mother to the hospital with a heart attack. I know the EPA of the Trump Admin is removing restrictions on pesticides. And you tell your customers everything is safe.

I have twice requested for management to call and no call. I have some problem with my lawn. Neighbor on both sides have green lawn compared to mine and have mowed already. My lawn needs attention. I seen no evidence on my first application that there was any fertilizer spread.

Updated on 08/14/2019: After a 4 month wait to have my forsythia REPLACED by TRUGREEN, that damaged them, I received a call on Wed. Aug 7 and was given an appointment for Fri. Aug 9 to have the landscape company come to my home and REPLACE them. As usual TRUGREEN DID N O T H I N G!!!! No one came, I waited all day and Trugreen FAILED AGAIN!! BAD COMPANY MANAGEMENT.. Needless to say my LAWYER WILL be contacting them, SOON!! TRUGREEN BAD.

In January 2018, we paid in full to TruGreen Lawn Plan and Weed Control. We noticed a small bald spot in the yard and informed the lawn care specialists. Each time they documented it was drought related and to water more. A friend came over and told us we had grub worms. TruGreen manager refused to re-sod the yard and stated they would re-seed and apply grub treatment. The front yard had extensively damage and cost $2522.58 for new sod installation and treatment. TruGreen came in the fall and reseeded and a month later and no new growth. I hired someone to reseed and had new growth in the front curb in a few weeks. TruGreen must have used bad seeds because the back yard is still bald.
I spoke with the manager and she said they will reseed again. I inquired with her why the lawn specialists did not identify the bare spots with the grub worms activity and she clearly stated, "TruGreen dropped the ball and did not detect the correct problem." I requested a full refund. She turned me over to another manager and he refused to give a refund for lawn plan, install/labor sod and high water bill. Total $2522.58. He did refund for the last May 2019 application and mailed a $93.85 check when I cancelled service. TruGreen still owe $2428.73.
As a loyal customer who spent thousands TruGreen continue to be dishonest and neglect. I have photos of the damaged yard. There was a treatment paid in January 2018 and a lawn specialist came out on 3/25/19, which the manager has ignored. A company will never know their problems unless a customer can speak the truth in a professional manner and inform the company of a problem for improvement. Integrity goes a long way.

Results of treatments show greener grass, about 80-85% of dandelions dying or dead, some other weeds dying. Bare spots do not show strong signs of the over seeding. Nevertheless there is some grass appearing a stock at a time. Violets are still pretty healthy. So far results are promising.

I am satisfied with my service, but for some reason, the chemicals are not spread to the edges of my property line. I had the same issue last year. The overall lawn looks good, but I have weeds around the edges. I'm hoping to get this issue corrected for the rest of my 5 applications.

I started using them in fall 2018. They came out twice. The first time was for weed treatment which didn’t work. Then they aerated and seeded in October. In February, we had an early spring and grass was already growing. Unfortunately, it showed where they basically went fast and missed every other row/pass so I now have stripes of grass. They also missed my entire grass section by the road which is separate from grass around my house. Then when I asked them to honor their warranty to come back out, they treated my grass with weed killer instead of aeration which meant I had to wait another month for the re-aeration from the fall.
Fast forward, since February, I’ve spoken to one manager and I’ve tried multiple times to reach one. I only received a call back because the guy that put the weed killer down, was caught on my camera system, backing over my lawn to turn around and he trenched my lawn. My aeration and reseed has been scheduled for 4 different times now. Every single one has been a no show! I’ve called before the end of the day each time and they say they sent a message to the tech and that they will call me. Nobody ever calls or shows up! I’ve now taken 3 days off work to be here to make sure they do it right and I’ve been forgotten about each time. Tonight is the last time and I’m going to find every site I can to leave bad reviews. I can’t believe how terrible their service has been! Don’t waste your money!!!

Not worthy of the 1 star but had to rate company before it would post! Early this year I prepaid for a year of service. I was guaranteed to have services on Fridays when I am home to bring my outdoor dogs inside off of the chemicals. I was told that was no problem. I receive text messages at 7 am on Monday stating the tech is on his way. Well you cannot respond to the automated text and the office is not open at 7 am nor can you leave a message. I did call as soon as they opened and they said they would take care of it. This happened several times back and forth.
One time I was scheduled for a Friday and then they cancelled due to bad weather. I called and rescheduled for the following Friday but then I receive a text on Monday again stating they are on the way for service. I have called so many times and I asked for a supervisor but none were available. I was scheduled for today at 4 but tech showed up before 2 while my yard was being mowed. I was told he would return at 4 and it is now 6. I want a full refund. I have not received any service at all.

I would NOT advise anyone to not use this service. I had nothing but pain from using this. They came out and sprayed. After they sprayed the weeds came up really strong. I called them then they came out and re-sprayed. By this time I got a letter from the Home Owners Association telling me how deficient my lawn was - the first time in 9 years. When they re-sprayed they killed bushes and burned about 40% of the lawn which to this day has not yet recovered. You will rarely if ever see the same person come out to spray.
The truck will come around with the treatment and that is what they will spray whether your yard needs it or not. They sprayed and sprayed and each time they did either they killed grass or encouraged the growth of weeds. I had to beg a supervisor to come out and look. He said he would but never showed up. I NOW HAVE THE WORSE LAWN ON THE BLOCK. I HAVE THE STRONGEST GREENEST WEEDS I HAVE EVER SEEN. My neighbors are asking me what happened? I must cut my grass about every seven days as the weeds grow so much faster than the grass and it looks really terrible. They simply do not have the skill to get it right. They worked on my lawn for about two years and it only got worse.
Then they will call you to upsell you into more products they sell. I am so completely disappointed. I had to cancel my contract and go with someone who has the time to pay attention to what MY lawn needs. This was very painful as they would not do for my lawn what it needed done. Instead they use a one size fits all approach that simply doesn't work. If someone would have just came out and looked they would have seen over time it was getting worse.

I’ve had TruGreen for over 7 years but the service in the recent two years have been discouraging. I prepaid for my services, and apparently good portions of my grass was dead or damaged from heat stroke. They kept on applying their products when they know it won’t help. After multiple calls, I was eventually informed that the grass was mostly dead and there is nothing they can do. However, they just came to do an application a few days ago and have been applying. Not happy about the lack of communication of the severity of the issue. I even watered the grass but I was watering dead grass. It’s after the winter was over and the grass didn’t return that I realized other things happened. It would have been helpful if they communicated and even offered to halt services until the grass is revived.

First time Techs came out to treat my yard they didn't even do one section of the yard. I waited because it say it could take 7-21 days. They were suppose to be here at 1:54 today so I could be here when they arrived and I got home at 1:30 to make sure the dogs were out before they sprayed and they had been here today at noon. Called the office at 1:36 and was told the Tech that did my yard would call me back. Well it is 8:39 and NO phone call. Time to cancel if they can't do what they say on the first 2 visits. Should have NOT listened to my husband to call and listened to my neighbor that had had a bad experience with TruGreen.

I was sold a package deal last week with spring aeration included. When I called to see when they would be out to do that service was told they were booked for the spring and would not be able to complete this service. The branch office said the sales department should not have agreed to the service in the spring only the fall. The good thing was able to cancel all services before they started saving me the trouble of dealing with a company that would not do whatever it takes to keep and make customers happy. Thank you. And by the way it's early spring in Illinois - flowers are just starting to bloom and there are buds on the trees but no Aeration service because they are busy.

Keep looking. This is an awful organization. They will never satisfy your lawn care needs but continually pester you to add services such as tree and shrub care. In the end, their driver drove his double axel truck through my front yard. Never said anything but instead said I needed tree and shrub care. It was simply a fertilizer application. $70 bill arrived in two days but it took them 3 weeks to repair the turfing. Guy came out and tramped down the ruts and threw some grass seed in. I guess it is supposed to grow without topsoil or straw. Lots of other companies do this for less. Find one of them. You can thank me later.

I am very disappointed with this company. I can't give them a low enough rating. It started with flat out lies by the salesperson to get us to sign up. Then the appointment I had scheduled so I could be there was done a day before without any prior notification. I called and complained and they stated, "Well, we left you a sheet telling you what we did." I stated it didn't address my concerns which was the reason I wanted to meet with someone. I cancelled any additional services. To my surprise 33 days later I come home to signs in my yard and a sheet in my door stating they treated my yard again. No prior texts or phone call giving notification of a pending appointment. I called to complain and the lady was rude and was placing the blame on me and stating I will have to pay for a treatment I had cancelled. This company is very unethical and not customer friendly. I would not recommend them if my life depended on it.

I just started a contract with TruGreen three weeks ago and am very disappointed. They promise to come right away after signing the contract but I am still waiting. The contract we signed stipulates that the first application we occur no later than April 21, that means they will breach the service contract if they don't come in two days. I looked at my account on their and the service is not even scheduled. I called customer support to talk to a person, but selecting option 2, existing customers, brings you to a tortuous menu that leads nowhere.
Called again selecting new customers option and someone answer the phone after the first ring. I complained about their false promises (the weeds are out in force already where I live) and the person promised someone will be here during the weekend. If they don't come, I will ask for my money back. In summary, they promised a lot but deliver nothing so far. I would advise to look for a different company. Customer# **.

Numerous dandelions are in my yard along side the patio and beside sidewalks and driveway. They are in the grass and mulch in front of my house. I’m not physically able to go out and spray dandelions. There are small blue flowers in the area nearest the street on the far side of the driveway. My grass looks much worse than it did 5 years ago.

I have used them for 9 years. They do not complete their work - I have had them reseed my lawn yearly and they miss spots. The person that comes out has no idea if that is the correct treatment. They just treat the lawn with step a, b, c, etc. I did not renew my contract since I was waiting to get measured and they sent someone out and put chemicals down with snow on my lawn. Their answer is to read their contract. Do yourself a favor. Do not use TruGreen.

We moved to our house 18 months ago and went through one season of my applying lime, crabgrass preventer, nitrogen, weed and feed - to the tune of $700 and lots of walking with our spreader (we have an acre). My neighbors said the place never looked so beautiful - then came the fall and the crabgrass - destroyed all my hard work! This spring my lawn was full of chickweed and nutgrass - brown patches where I battled crabgrass. I started the routine again but it rained and rained....and after 5 bags I called TruGreen. Our representative was so helpful and our front yard is back to lovely...still some way to go on the chickweed but the lawn is thick and lush, dark green and all my neighbors are talking again...so this week they started using them. Jose is amazing and his recommendations are sound. Interestingly, a year's worth of service on our front yard (1/2 acre) is cheaper than my using a spreader and buying multiple chemicals myself. I'm a fan!

Updated on 04/22/2019: After numerous phone calls and speaking with a number of telemarketing people my problem is still not resolved. I was told we would get a refund of $100.44 and that was sent in on April 12. We have still not received the refund. I have asked no more than four times to have the manager contact me. He has never called or tried to contact me. It is impossible to call directly into a branch and nearly impossible to get anyone in the corporate office. Today I was contacted and told that the $100.44 that they promised to refund me was an incorrect amount and the refund would be less. This is how TruGreen operates. They just try to wear you down with promises they do not keep! Time for the State Attorney’s Office of Consumer Protection to step in.
Updated on 04/21/2019: Once again, for the third time we have been lied to. The last representative we talked to, said she would correct the number of applications we agreed to and refund $100.44; the amount that was overcharged on our credit card. Over a week has passed and the refund has not been made. These people are unscrupulous and will tell you anything to make sales and or get you off the phone!!!! We have asked several people to have the Lexington Kentucky branch manager to call us. He has never called! We just keep getting calls from telemarketers that just keep lying to us.
Original Review: We have no Issues with our lawn technician or the service. As it has always been with TruGreen since they took over Chemlawn, your telemarketing practices are unscrupulous!!!! Let me make this perfectly clear. They have no moral principles and are dishonest and will say or do about anything to make a sale!

Had TruGreen last summer for lawn care and lawn looked the same. Two weeks ago, saw a sign that TruGreen has been at our home. Called the company and told them we did not sign up for lawn care this year. We were told it's automatic renewal so once again, we said we don't want it and eventually the service was cancelled. Last week, we received a bill for $42.23. After 2 days of trying to call, finally got through. We told customer service that we received a bill for a service that we did not ask for. The person said that the contract stated automatic renewal and I said we were not aware of that when we signed up last year and there was no mention of it. She said, "I'll give you 50% off." I told her again that we are not paying for a service that we did not ask for. How many persons have this company conned with this automatic renewal nonsense? This company is dishonest, lacking in customer service.

I feel our technician did a good job yesterday. I did mention to him that our mole crickets have returned and he confirmed that. We had treatment for that last fall but they are back. He said he would write up a work order for further treatment. I am just following up.

Codey cares about his customers and goes above and beyond to provide great service. The only reason I remained a Tru Green customer is because of this specialist. I would consider some additional work on my yard if this specialist and I could meet to discuss. It is an area that has patches without grass.

Updated on 7/16/2019: Yard is very green, but about 50 percent of the backyard is covered with one type of weed about the size of a “Silver Dollar “. Seems to grow at about ground level. What used to be almost a show-case lawn, is now met with neighbors’ comments such as: "What’s happened to your lawn?" This is very disheartening after 34 years of continuous treatment by your company (first Chem-Lawn, and now TruGreen). I doubt that this has gone unnoticed by neighbors as it is a large, corner lot with few large trees. Happy to discuss with you.
Original Review: There are very significant numbers of weeds in the yard including dandelions and another type (identity unknown) which are somewhat tall with small white flowers. I did write a positive review of the last treatment of my lawn, but since that time, the yard does not look good.

Received quote, was told this would be confirmed with home visit - no one showed, I called to follow up and see what happened.... And was then given a quote over the phone for double what I was told before. When I questioned this the rep was Argumentative and kept talking over me. I called to complain with customer service about such unprofessional interaction. They stated someone would call me back. Never heard from them... Needless to say they lost my $. I told them I was ready to purchase from the get go.

Our service was over 3 weeks ago and I haven't seen any results yet. Nothing turned brown, weeds are still flourishing. I called your service rep, Charles **, and the recording said his phone mail is not operative. If I go online, the apps are not user friendly. Bad service.

2nd application really start to make a difference. Weeds are dying and original grass starting to grow rapidly. Every time I was scheduled it rained, still show good results. Encourage to call for additional applications at no charge, will make a great appearance.

After having my husband work on our beautiful yard for 9 years, it got to be a bit overwhelming for him. We called TruGreen to just continue taking care of the beautiful green yard that my husband had produced. After the first year of TruGreen applications, the yard began looking awful! We were told it would take some time for them to rebuild the yard. During the second year of their applications, the bare spots, that they had created from the year prior, began to become larger and larger! Almost our entire acre of property became just dirt. We kept calling them out to look at it and do something with the yard to bring it back to its previous beautiful green grass condition.
After getting numerous different people out from TruGreen to look at the disaster, we received all different answers. One said we had grubs, which we did not after further inspection by numerous people, including another higher up employee from TruGreen. The next one stated TruGreen had over fertilized the yard, because there were strips of dead grass throughout the entire property. Finally, they sent a regional supervisor out and he told us that with our property, we would never be able to have green grass.
We told him he was absolutely crazy and showed him pictures of the beautiful green, thick, lush grass taken at numerous different seasons for the past 9 years when my husband was taking care of the yard. That supervisor had a nasty attitude and continued telling us that we would never be able to have any grass grow in our yard! He told us that no product is 100%! He refused to put in any seed blankets to regrow the grass, and refused to sod the yard back to what it was prior to them working in the yard. Do not waste your money on this company!

Perhaps my expectations were too high as I now have a number of area's where the grass is dead. Also, while the weeds have diminished, there are a considerable amount still growing after 2 weeks since the 1st application. He was here for 15 minutes, which from the start I felt uncomfortable with his approach and speed he went. I think his desire to get the job done quickly, made him put too much on the lawn and not enough weed killer down. I will re-assess after the next visit and if it turns out the same as the 1st one. I will need to cancel.... What a sin, as I expected much better results.

The 1st application on Mar. 27, 2019. So far with the rain we getting the lawn were starting to be green, that we do not need to put grass seed. It was the way the Specialist did the spraying very professional that covers all the grass. Before we thought we are losing the grass. Keep your specialist for he is doing his job very good.

I decided to give TruGreen a try last year. The service was good when it was just the treatment of my scrubs and weeds. But then they said if I wanted great looking Lawn, to pay for the aeration and seeding which I did for over $200 and now I regret it because I am angry at the sight of my lawn. It has patches all over and dead spots. During the winter, whatever they dropped on my grass looked like dog pop and now all that spot is dead and dry. I am now trying to fix it the best I can... I should have listened.

Stains on wall accidently caused by worker - Company tried several times unsuccessfully to remove them and when I was able to finally get rid of them by the man who powerwashed my house, TruGreen paid for it. I thought that was really good customer service. I have been satisfied with their care of my ornamental bushes. Workers are polite and professional.

I have been fortunate to have Scott ** spray my magnolia tree and inject my ash tree for the past six years (if not longer!). He is KNOWLEDGEABLE and professional to the utmost degree. I would be lost without him. Until last season, Eric ** used to fertilize my lawn. He, too, was like Scott. Last season, I had NUMEROUS persons and wasn't as satisfied, nor comfortable.

I was not present during the first treatment but was left a detailed description in my front door stating everything that was observed and the application of the pre-emergent to get the grass to green up slowly. I have noticed certain areas that have greened up so will keep watching to see if other areas follow suit.

On March 21, 2019 I hired TruGreen to service my lawn here in Lutz Florida. The tech came out, sprayed some chemicals and informed me that they have to put grass plugs in the in several places in the lawn... On This was to the tune of $360??? On March 22, 2019 TruGreen took this payment out of my account. They assured me that someone will be at my home within (3) days the complete this work! Three days have gone and passed NO TruGreen!! I called back and was told... "Oh they will be out there in another (3) days!!"
Another week passed and NO TruGreen!! I called several times and ask to speak supervisor. I was told "There is NO Supervisor available" or "He is out in the field or even better... "He is NOT at his desk. Or answering his phone!!" They are reluctant to pass you to a supervisor!! As of April 9th, 2019, I have called (5) requesting a supervisor TO NO AVAIL. Same answer by TruGreen! They have said we will make a note in your file for a supervisor to call you. It will take 24 to 48 hours for return call. Guess what??? NO CALLBACK!
Called the local TruGreen office in Tampa, ONLY to be told I was speaking to someone in a call center in NEW YORK!!!..UNBELIEVABLE!!!! Since then I have been getting fines from my HOA because TruGreen's LACK of service. I will NEVER recommend TruGreen to ANYONE, and would tell my family and friends who are TruGreen customers to DISCONTINUE their service!!!! TRULY UNBELIEVABLE!!!!

I have been a customer of TruGreen for over 10 years, this year the customer service is the worse I have ever seen anywhere. I called 4 time so far to prepay for the year. I called back again a week after my first call to be told the CC on file was not correct. So I gave them the CC again to prepay for the year. Just to make sure, I called couple of hours later to check and I was told everything is fine and it will take a day or two for the charges to appear on my CC. This morning my CC was charged for one application, which was rendered earlier in the year.
When I called I was told the notes on the account says I called and canceled. When I stated this is not correct and that I called to prepay the rep told me I can prepay but the amount they charged my CC cannot be refunded and that I would have to prepay for the year which basically means I would have to pay for one extra application needlessly. When I asked to talk to a supervisor they told me none is available. I asked when can I call to talk to one, they said, "We are it. Not one else is available."

The trees and shrubs look good at this time but there was a warning concerning bees in the tree near the garage and brown branches from winter damage.

Please don’t recommend TruGreen, since I just discontinued their service, as I have used them for the past 2 years and my experience has been terrible. The lawn and beds are sea of weeds, the grass is dead in spots due to their lack of control over the use of their chemicals that damaged the lawn. Nice people to work with but totally incompetent.

I did an online quote and then called to set up an appointment and found out it was almost $100 difference! My backyard is fenced in and not fenced on all three sides on the actual property line so it should actually be less square foot. If the online price quote is not going to be honored or near the same they need to not have online quotes or have a Clearly visible disclaimer stating actual price may not be the same as online quote. We were ready to sign up but is too expensive.

I have been using TrueGreen Charlotte. I was wondering why certain spots in my yard especially the front looked better. Well I found out when I looked at my cameras and found that all 4 services that were performed he only sprayed a portion of front and portion on the side. He would stretch his spray hose out 10 and that would be all he would spray. I called and explained to customer service for three weeks (800) number and not once did I get return service or a return phone call from the Charlotte office. I would highly recommend using another company.

I had TruGreen for little over a year. I thought the applications of fertilizer would green my lawn up. They use a liquid fertilizer that washes out really fast before it greens up your yard. My wife said she couldn't see any difference in the color before or after. So I fired TruGreen and fertilized with granular fertilizer. Within a week my lawn never looked better, dark green and beautiful. Save your money and don't use TruGreen. It's a waste of money.

We have completed a full year of treatment with TruGreen lawn service and also had the 4 mosquito treatments. I hated my lawn before TruGreen. We had all kinds of weeds. After each treatment last year, I would think, "Is this really working?" and the service guys would say, "It takes a year to see the real difference". Well they were right. Our yard is so good looking this spring. Just got up this morning and looked out and said out loud to myself "The yard is beautiful". The mosquito treatments are well worth the money. We live on a farm and things are not always easy to control as they are on a city lot but TruGreen has done wonders. Thank you! Needless to say TruGreen will continue to come to our yard.

April 3, 2019 was my first service. I have never used TruGreen in the past because I was told that they were a waste of time and not worth the money. I should have listened. I watched the technician spray my lawn; Or should I say, parts of it. He missed most of the lawn. He sprayed around one side of a tree and not the other. I showed him what he missed and he told me to touch it and said it was wet. I touched the lawn and parts were bone dry. He told me they must have dried. If you finish spraying a small area and some parts are dry and some are wet, they were not done properly.
Also, your salesman should be selling cars. What pressure. I was told the offer was only good while he was here and could change once he left. Believe me, I knew what he was doing and played his stupid game. During a phone call with TruGreen, I refused to pay over the phone for a service that was not described to me. I had no idea what they were going to do when they came out. And, they were charging a lot more money to get a contract over the phone then was charged in person. I asked that someone come to my home to discuss a plan. Prior to signing a contract I had ten phone calls in less than 24 hours from someone from TruGreen. I refused to answer the calls. What harassment.

Killed a 20 year old lawn. I originally contacted them to assist in controlling bugs and weeds in my yard and help a newly installed front yard to gain a foothold and take off. So I signed up for the TruHealth plan. Since June 2018 until February of 2019, they came out almost every month and left after their service was complete notating that they applied fertilizer and weed control every time. Now, I'm no grass expert but even I know that fertilizer shouldn't be applied every visit. Maybe they burned my yard and killed it?
The Front yard started thinning out and they recommended adding soil to help the new sod creep even though I had just laid out 2 pallets of Floratam St. Augustine end to end to cover the yard. I couldn't take it anymore when my yard has gotten to the point where I am going to have to call in a landscaping company to probably remove and re-sod my entire lawn. The greenest spots in the back are the weeds that are still growing and my once thick lush green grass is now a dying brown patchy mess. Truly disappointing and now I am going to have to spend thousands to re-sod my lawn.

I hired the company to treat my white flies on the palm trees. They sold me the tree and shrub package. I inquired after one year that the trees didn't look any better. They said the palm trees were infected with white flies and that was $25 per tree to treat. WTF? I would pay but never once did they suggest that I needed that service. Never mind. I thought they were providing Tree service (treated one palm for termites). I allowed the company to treat the lawn and no change after one year. They suggested I replant the grass. As in no hope because of nutgrass. I fired the company and invested in nutgrass killer. Why didn't you come up with that plan??? Wasted money.

My last service was top notch. The yard was a little wet and the technician at my request was very careful not to leave ruts or dig up the grass with the turns of their equipment. An excellent job was done and the technician understood our concerns and was very courteous. I can certainly recommend Trugreen Boardman/Youngstown Ohio without reservation. Had a situation with an abundance of Poa Annua this year in my front yard. Cornelius ** and Eddie ** came to my house this morning to correct this situation with application of Revolver herbicide. As you can see from picture it was quite a bit that needed controlling. Now,almost 2 weeks later, it has yellowed and is dying to my satisfaction. We purchased our new home Jan 3rd of this year. The previous owner had the most beautiful weed bed you have seen. This spring I decided to start over and tilled up my entire yard and seed it with seed knowing I will have to water all summer and overseed this fall. Today I have a note left on my door from a TruGreen rep. AND I QUOTE "Please tell me you didn't reseed your yard. Don't you know the best time to do it is in the fall..." I am sorry to tell you yes I have reseeded and will never use you. I hired TruGreen at my last house to treat my yard and reseed 2.5 acres. The guys would come out and leave without working 3/4 of the time due to the office sending them out with the wrong equipment. The Fall reseeding, never happened. After the 3rd return in late November I fired them. I will do it myself when I want to do it. Murfreesboro, Tn.

We are a long time customer of TruGreen and have been happy with the service until last year. We are on their treatment plan again this year and have always paid extra for grub control. We have been asking for a supervisor to come to our home while we are here to review the condition of our lawn because it looks horrible! We have dead patches in large areas and we also have something digging up large areas as well. We believe we have grubs and would like this matter resolved but nobody is calling us back. We have called a few times and never get a call back. They will however keep sending the bills and want you to pay for something you are very dissatisfied with.
We have done what they recommended by aerating, seeding, and watering but it hasn’t made a difference since we seem to have an insect problem. The crazy thing is, we have used them for years and they always leave a note when they service our yard and are always trying to sell you other services such as mosquito control or tree and shrub services but not once did they say anything about the spreading dead patches of grass that has gotten progressively worse. We would really like them to stand behind their “healthy lawn guarantee” and make our grass look good again. PLEASE PLEASE FOLLOW UP AND COME LOOK AT OUR LAWN WITH US SO TOGETHER WE CAN FIGURE THIS OUT!

I have had numerous problems in renewing my lawn treatment this year. As well as problems in the past. It concerned the billing and account numbers and notifications of upcoming service. It took numerous calls to get it straightened out, but did get the old account number removed from my account on the web and finally got the pricing corrected. It took much effort and I was going to drop my service not knowing what technician I would have this year. I wanted the one I have had in recent years which was ERIC **. When I found out that I would be getting Eric I decided to stay with the service. It is because of Eric and his outstanding service and concern for a customer I remain with TruGreen.

My experience has been very pleasurable. It's just the soil in my yard sucks I think. Which makes the lawn look just ok. Barring importing a couple of yards of topsoil (which will never happen) and starting over that's going to have to be the final grade, just ok. Mind you it's weed free sort of, my neighbor has a problem and the wind likes to share. Anyway. Thank you for your excellent service.

TG customer for 8 or 9 years. Great results, until recently. Backyard killed after treatment. Sent out tech who took pictures. 6 wks later, no contact. Threaten to cancel service. Supervisor calls, but leaves no direct number to call him back. And 10 days later, and another phone call, still no follow up! So bottom line, the treatments do work, accept when they do it wrong then it goes real bad. My front yard looks great, my backyard like a cow pasture. If they don't screw it up, it's worth it. And if they do screw it up, good luck getting competent customer service to getaway kind of resolution. I live in Charlotte NC area.

I have had TruGreen for 4 years. The first two years, I had a beautiful lawn. Thankfully, the front yard has only had about 1/4 of it destroyed, but the beautiful Saint Augustine lawn in the back is about 95% destroyed. The grass has been killed by the sprays and what grass is left is a very sickly yellowish green. I have called numerous times to inquire about any management changes, but trying to get any sensible response from TruGreen is a total waste of time. Am I unhappy? The way I feel is beyond anything that I would put in writing. I took care of my own lawn for over 20 years and decided to let someone else take over. I followed their plans exactly and they came on every scheduled appointment. That has led to the destruction of beautiful grass and a bumper crop of weed types that I have never seen before. What a disappointment! I would not recommend TruGreen to anyone!!!

After over 30 years of doing our own lawn maintenance we decided to hire TruGreen. Our lawn always looked pretty good. They guaranteed our lawn would look even better with the year. Two years later, and over $2200 our lawn is mess. We have had numerous conversations with the Specialists about the growing dead spots in our lawn. The invoices mention we have areas of shade, thinning grass, areas of poor drainage and some moss. We do have several large trees where the grass is not growing well around the base of the trees. It is the remainder of the 1 1/2 acres they maintain that has growing areas of dead grass and bare spots. Some of those areas have evidence of erosion due to the chronic problem of spreading dead grass. The Specialists have told us the problem is being caused by either, drought, too much shade, wrong type of grass, poor drainage, lawn being cut too short, etc.
In late summer of 2017 we started to notice there were areas in the front yard that had always been green that were dying. Those areas also had dry flat grass with tiny holes in the dirt with tiny balls of dirt in the area. Now most of those areas have bare dirt with erosion. I asked the Specialist last fall if bugs could cause the problem. He told me it was due to 10 days of drought we had last summer, even though we had a lot of rain and the rest of the is not completely dead. It think we have chronic Chinch bug problem. In other areas it looks like our lawn was burned due to too much fertilizer or herbicide. They promised to aerate and seed the bad areas, which is very large now, but they had thus far failed to deliver on their promise. Now they say they will do it in April, even thought they have treated the lawn with herbicides this past month. We are very frustrated, disappointed and embarrassed at the condition our lawn.

This is my 2nd year trying to work with TruGreen, and it has been a very challenging company. In the Fall on '17, they aerated & seeded the lawn - absolutely no grass came up. I tried again last fall. After that slit seeding I had to call and have them come back because the amount of seed was unbelievably thin. If it had germinated (which it didn't), it would have left so many bare spots no one would believe it had been slit seeded. I was trying one more time this spring to have it slit seeded. In December last year, I stressed with TruGreen the need to slit seed as early as possible. They assured me I'd be one of the first this year. I just learned a week ago, that they applied pre-emergent 2 weeks ago. They assure me it won't affect the seed. However, they have still not been able to come do the seed. I'm too busy to manage a vendor who is incompetent and non-responsive.

We used Trugreen and always paid in full for the year up front. Last summer, Trugreen started treating our lawn again and at the end of the year we received a bill. We had not given authorization for that year. This winter we have received many phone calls and have said no to Trugreen service more than once. We just received a message saying they are coming to treat our trees and shrubs tomorrow! This is ridiculous. No means no. I’m sure we said no last year too and they did it anyway. I wouldn’t recommend this company as they scam their customers.

WORST PEOPLE TO DEAL WITH. The sales representative told all fancy things to sell to me but when the real people come and treat my lawn, I was blown away. Salespeople told once it is fertilized, all the brown areas in my lawn will grow grass, but when the technician came, he did not agree with that and have a different opinion. I am truly upset with these people and do not recommend TruGreen. They will make worse your lawn. The technician came to my home was very rude too!

I have a zero balance with you all and do not understand why service was cancelled. I was so displeased with my service in 2018. Hired TruGreen about 1 1/2 years ago to try to shape up my front lawn. They absolutely destroyed it. Not only did I have the visibly worst lawn on my street, I would be willing to compete with anyone for worst in the whole town. From a complete weed take over to a multiple chinch bug infestation starting from one side then working over to the other while it was being "treated". Then they also showed up and did additional options and just charged me carte blanche. I happily fired them several months ago. Last month they had someone call me to tell me they were sorry and would take care of if they could just get back with me later. I told them no thanks. Next day I received a text wanting to start treatment again at a reduced rate. I am now treating my lawn myself and it is starting to green up. Would I recommend TruGreen...NO!

This is the first time I have tried a lawn care service. I was pretty sure I was getting the best. My neighbor really liked them. So I thought I would give them a try. I called and made the payment to do my front and back yard and a spot on the side. Well, the lawn care man came and only did the front, of course, I was not here. Lucky my wife was here and told me he would have to have the order changed to include the back. WOW after I talked to the woman for about 15 minutes she did not get it right. So I called the co and they said they would send someone over to take care of it for me. I said great. Now I get a notice on my e-mail that they would be over for my free service. FREE? I have paid for all of my services. I thought this was supposed to take the stress out of taking care of the lawn. Not so far for me. I hope they do better.

Christopher came to spray for mosquito's. He commented that he did not spray an edible produce fruit or nut tree in my yard. I'm in question about that because I do not have such trees? Everything else was all done properly. I would really like to know what is meant by this statement.

In June of 2018 I sodded my yard with Zorro Zoysia. My first TruGreen treatment was roughly 6 weeks later and they completely fried the yard. I had a specialist come back out and check on the yard and he acknowledged that the prior application was over-applied and that I needed to water frequently to promote growth and wash away the chemicals. On September 20th 2018 a TrueGreen specialist applied a treatment to my yard. Roughly a week later I noticed that the grass looked like it was dying. I called TruGreen multiple times to ask to have somebody come check on the yard.
Finally, on October 15th the same tech that killed my yard came back out and said the grass needed water (but in reality my yard was in the process of dying). I called back multiple times to try and get a manager out, but they sent a tech that was new to the job to apply more weed killer (for which I refused service), still hoping to get a manager out to look at my lawn. On November 2, 2018 the same inexperienced tech came back out and applied additional chemicals, and I was not home to refuse this service. After another attempt to get somebody out tell me what had happened, I was told the grass was dormant for the winter.
Now that it is spring and most of the Zoysia lawns are becoming green, it is painfully obvious that the only thing growing in my 10 month old lawn is weeds. I would suggest anybody that is thinking about using a weed control company to not consider TruGreen. They have been a nightmare to even get somebody with any experience to evaluate what had gone wrong. I am in the process of engaging a lawyer to resolve the issue and ultimately have TruGreen replace my yard. PROCEED WITH EXTREME CAUTION when engaging with TruGreen.

If you can find someone else to do your lawn use them. The service is horrible. There is no way a complete treatment can be given in less than 5 minutes with a front and back yard the size I have. You had better be home when they come to service your lawn. There are just too many things they didn't get right in my situation. When I called to complain about this they changed the worker providing the site services. The service man sent did a better job of coverage but the weeds were still there. I've given TruGreen several opportunities to get it right. If you call to complain they are more concerned about staying on a schedule then coming and retreating an area. I was told the problem would be corrected at the next visit. My lawn still had weeds and when a member (allegedly a supervisor) came out to speak his focus was on me obtaining mosquito treatment when they couldn't get the weed problems right.
The bigger problem still, they refuse to stop calling me. Numerous times, and I give them the same response and the reasons why I was not satisfied with the service and to please stop calling me as I would not be using their service anymore and yet they still call. STOP CALLING ME. Maybe you can get it right, now that I put it in plain english.

First of all I had gone to the web site to make a positive comment on Spenser ** and had a difficult time accomplishing this tasks. Coby did an excellent job on 3/6/2019 both in terms of customer service and also in terms of representing your company. He is a real asset for your company. I can not say the same for your company web site and even the service receipt. There are several places with numbers but no place that says Order Number.

I first contacted TruGreen in September to have a sprinkler system blown out before winter. After signing up for what I was told was a $28 service the sales calls started. Sometimes multiple times a day. Ended up telling me that to blow out the system it would be a total of almost $400 a year to be on the Sprinkler Care program. Next, it was I needed to pay hundreds of $$ to have my trees sprayed. The company would not schedule my blow out until I added more services. After weeks of getting sales calls and no services performed, I asked to be removed from their contact list. Now 6 months later still getting weekly and sometimes daily calls. Always claims to be a supervisor that will remove me but the calls continue. As of today, they are now texting me. STAY AWAY AT ALL COST!!

I have used TruGreen for my home lawn for several years. Have always been pleased with the service and results. I started the TruGreen service in Aug 2018 at a historical home that is part of the Chestnut Historical Village in McKinney. The lawn was a disaster no matter what I attempted to do. It is now (March 2019) looking like a totally different lawn. After I re-seed the lawn next month it will be awesome. I am more interested in quality vs price. You get what you pay for.

When we first moved in, our sod had lots of weeds, TruGreen has come in and taken care of the issue. With the reasonable year-long plan, our lawn, trees and bushes look great! People ask who handles our service, because they are so impressed with the appearance.

I would like to compliment the service care agent who maintains our lawn. His name is Christopher **. He has been servicing our lawn for quite a while and is always professional and helpful. I ask a lot of "dumb" questions and he always answers truthfully. Not real happy with the cost - but the service provided fits our need.

Great products for a fair price. We are long time customers and especially love the yard pest service. We have no mosquitoes or spiders in or out of the house and we love it. The people are courteous, knowledgeable and friendly.

My recent service experience was fine. I just have an issue with my front lawn. TruGreen has been servicing my lawn for a year now and the front lawn looks very weak. The turf is very thin and somewhat brown in color (and yes, I have an sprinkler system that has been running all year). The house on the corner has the same type of grass (zoysia?) and their lawn looks much healthier than mine.

We have only been with TRUGREEN for a short time. So far, the experience has been excellent. The representatives have been polite, efficient, professional, knowledgeable, and prompt. Grass has not started to grow yet, but I am confident that our lawn will be its best ever.

I called the above number to have TruGreen remove my telephone number from their lists of robocalls for service. The address indicated in the call is not my address. I ask the young lady (Verlin, couldn't quite get the pronunciation) to remove my telephone number from their list as I do not have an account and they have the wrong number. She replied that she needed my address, to which I do not have to provide, and she needed my name, of which I do not have to provide. I refused to provide on both requests and she (Verlin), said in a nasty tone, "well I'm not able to remove unless you give me this information so you, Ms. anonymous, have a great day," and she hung up on me.
If a caller initiates a call to you and requests that you remove the number being called, they have to do it according to FCC rules and guidelines. This refusal can be brought before the FCC and fines could be issued to the party for not complying, as a result. I suggest that management review their policies on how to handle unwanted calls from consumers.

I am so sorry I ever employed TruGreen to assist with my lawn!!! Once I canceled the service, they have continued to call me incessantly, to the point of HARASSMENT!!! I pointedly and explicitly asked to be put on their DNC list six months ago and yet they still call, at times multiple times a day and late into the evening. Because of this unending HARASSMENT, even if I desperately needed lawn service again, I would not use them. If there is a class action created in Georgia like there was in Tennessee to curtail this kind of HARASSMENT, I will join it immediately!

I signed up with TruGreen two years ago. They sent someone. This person came to our house and ten minutes later left leaving a note on our door that he couldn't get to our yard with aerator because we parked vehicles on our driveway while we were inside the house and he could hear people talking but it was too hard for him to knock. They charged us for the service ($160). After three months of NO VISIBLE change on our lawn for lawn maintenance while we paid for every service that produced NO CHANGE to our lawn, we decided to cancel remaining months of our contract with TruGreen.
Last year for the first time (I SWEAR IN THE NAME OF GOD ALMIGHTY), my whole lawn was overwhelmed by weeds of all kind for the first time EVER. I have been treating it with chemicals that I got at Walmart and have noticed significant changes now. The most annoying part is these guys still have the gut to be sending me mails and making constant phone calls for us to be back. Y'all need to get yourselves another day job and stop calling people if they cancelled. It is because they are not satisfied with your service.

Bad lawn service: 1. They never ring the bell but said they did. Weed keeping grown and need to call them again and have them doing their job done which should be taken care in the first place. Once of time, weed show up and they explain they didn't spread weed control but other thing. But weed are over there... I am wondering why they ignore it. 2. Without review notice before the end of contract. Never use TruGreen again.

I hired this company last year to take care of the weeds in my front yard. I really wasn't worried about the backyard, as I thought that it was just to bad off. The front yard is the area of concern, and I had described the situation to the gentleman that sold me the service. I contracted them in April 2018, I assumed for one year, ending in April 2019. Not so. Apparently the contracts end in each calendar year, and they just keep servicing (and charging) without any notification that I was now paying additionally for each service. I have never been very happy with the service, and I did call them back out once, I do think they came, but there was no difference in the reduction of the weeds.
In short, I was willing to simply cancel my contract without saying anything regardless of the poor results, but then they tell me I owe an addition $53 for a service last month. I accept some responsibility for apparently not understanding the contract completely and understanding that I was not paying for a year, but for only the calendar year. That said, I have had many auto renewable contracts that notify me when they have renewed or were about to. The February charge only adds insult to injury given the state of the weeds in the lawn. I did ask to speak to a manager and was told that there was no one available, and that she could have someone call me back. TruGreen may work for you, but it certainly didn't for me.

The sale rep visited and made an offer for the service etc., and left saying I will be getting an email with all the information for the service along with price confirmation. Instead all they did was to charge the Credit Card with no response thereafter. Then I have to keep calling and send message to the sale rep with no response. Later when the sale rep called and said under Texas law no contract will be given. It is very strange to know that, anyway I lost my trust with this kind of service and have to put a dispute on my credit card charges for not having any contract and just getting charged for not knowing what they going to provide.

I was a Trugreen customer for 2 years. All I wanted was lawn service and I prepaid for it with a credit card the first year. The first year I was charged twice for services I did not approve of. The second year I had cancelled the credit card and prepaid by check. I would get calls that they would be out to perform services the I did not approve of, ask for or want in any way. I had to keep calling them to cancel services I never asked for or wanted. This year I did not renew their services. I got a call that they would be out to lime my lawn.
I called and told them I did not want them near my home in any way for anything. I received 2 follow up calls promising me if I would renew they would not add any services I did not ask for. I told them they could basically go to hell, they should never have charged me for services I did not want. They scammed me for about $130 that first year. In my 40+ years of home ownership I have never dealt with a worse, underhanded and dishonest service provider. Stay away from these people, stay far far away!!!

Today's issue: Called last week to have them come out because of specific weed issues (Am on an annual contract that guarantees they will respond). Was told that it would be 5 - 7 business days and they would call the night before they came. Told them that was not satisfactory -- that I needed an appointment to be sure I was home when they came. Last night they left an automated message that they would be here today, without a 2 hr window. Stayed home all day today waiting when I certainly wanted to be elsewhere. Just found they had come.
No ringing of doorbell, no knock on door. (Their receipt says, "When I arrived, I knocked on your door to speak with you about your service. I'm sorry I missed you.") Did they spray? Where did they spray? Did they get the weeds? In the past they have not. Same thing happened last Time I asked for specific weed service. A week later, the weeds were still growing. Today I called the local St Augustine # and got customer service. Asked to speak to an operations manager. Could only speak to a customer service supervisor in Orlando.
Andrea listened to my complaint and said she would have a operations manager call to set up for an appointment to come out. When I said that was not good enough and that I wanted an appointment for Friday afternoon, she said she couldn't schedule an appointment because she wasn't in the local office. I told her that I certainly didn't want to wait around until the ops person called me at his convenience. I asked her to put me on hold and call the local office but she said she couldn't do that either. Said I wanted to cancel service. Magically, she WAS able to put me on hold and called the local office. No answer. She said she didn't have access to a cell number to the local office. Past issues: Their hoses have broken, displaced low watt lights in flower beds. All in all am one VERY unhappy camper.

I canceled my service with TruGreen over a year ago due to value for the money, being not much value for my money. I was contacted by one of their reps soliciting their interest in gaining my return business. "Give me 1% percent of your trust and I will earn the other 99%." was the used car sales spin. Despite my better judgement I agreed after some haggling to give them another chance, requesting my charges be billed monthly not all at once to my card, which the rep had stated in text to me and again on a call.
Within 45 minutes of giving the go ahead my card was charged the full yearly fees. This lack of detailed understanding upset me given I clearly stated how I wanted to be billed. During a call with the TruGreen rep I then stated the best way to ensure there was no further confusion, it would be best to cancel my service and issue a credit for the full amount charged. I then began to get stories about the office was closed, he needed his boss to get with accounting for the refund, etc. so I reached out to American Express to open a charge dispute after six days of lies and no action from TruGreen.
Within these six days I also got an automated notice that TruGreen in fact would be performing my first service at my home, on an account that I had requested be closed and money refunded. Interesting? I quickly reached out to the local TruGreen rep I had been dealing with unsuccessfully and requested the service be stopped and did not want TruGreen on our property. Nothing!
Then low and behold they service my lawn ANYWAY. I then called the TruGreen 800 number and explained my experience with a customer service rep online. They stated with a bit of an attitude they would give me a refund in 5-7 business days (took my money in 45 minutes) but I would still need to pay for the service, an account I requested canceled 6 days prior, and a service I requested NOT to have 24 hours before. I stated that I was not paying for a service I requested NOT to happen through my local rep. (With a text back up for records.)
The customer service rep then made a comment they would not argue over the service fee and I would get the full refund. Well today I got a notification from American Express informing me of a refund from TruGreen... LESS THE MONEY FOR THE SERVICE I DID NOT WANT ON A CANCELED ACCOUNT!!!! BUYERS BEWARE, THIS COULD HAPPEN TO YOU. TruGreen will NOT get a third chance EVER.

I paid TruGreen for 2 1/2 years to improve my lawn. My lawn was not that bad to begin with, as the services went on, (seeding, aeration, feeding, weed control, anything they said we needed) it got worse and worse and now is just a total mess. I spoke with the service techs and numerous people at the local office. Each person assured me the would fix the problem and I would have a lovely, lush lawn if I would just be patient a while longer. I asked for a manager to call me back at least a dozen times or for them to provide me with a manager's phone number. No one call to help me and I was not allowed a number.
After one of their own salesmen stopped by our house to ask if we would like some help improving our lawn (he did not know we were already customers of theirs) I cancelled the service with TruGreen. Since that time they call me over and over again trying to get me to sign up with them for service. I have asked to be put on the "do not call list" and they won't stop. They are calling several times a week and badgering me to sign a new contract. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They lie, cheat and steal and do not do the job you pay them to do or stand by their work. I feel like a fool for continuing to pay them when my lawn kept getting worse.

Every time they come to serve our neighbors that are customers they walk around and hand out flyers and knock on doors. This is unethical and places their employees in uncomfortable situations. Especially in scenarios where it is clearly posted that the neighborhood does not want solicitors. I have called repeatedly and asked them to come back out and pick up the flyers that were left but they do not comply with my request.

So they came out and the guy was nice and on time and very thorough. Also all of the weeds in the front are pretty much gone. That's it for the good news. Bad news is my lawn is also dead and they refuse to fix it. I had called them and contacted them via Facebook and each time they said that because I'm not a continued customer but there's nothing they can do. My entire lawn front and back is dead. The only thing that survived was Poe Anna - I know I spelled that wrong but oh well.

I have not be happy with the service provided by TruGreen. In fact, I want a refund. During the spring, summer, and fall, my lawn remained a pail anemic green. It is now February, and my Bermuda grass has been dormant since early November. Since November, weeds have proliferated to the extent that roughly 1/3 of my lawn is covered in weeds.
Two weeks ago, TruGreen treated my lawn as part of the service plan (I had called 2 weeks prior requesting service due to weeds). I was charged and the technician stated that I should cut my lawn! Let me repeat, I have Bermuda grass, it has been dormant since November, anything and everything growing in my lawn is a weed!!! So, now I must cut the weeds that TruGreen failed to control. Neighbors have told me to fire this company and treat my lawn with Lesco products. In fact, I think TruGreen should purchase Lesco products for me instead of using whatever watery product that passes for their treatment. Extremely disappointed customer.

After several months and several hundred dollars paid, I have more weeds than before they started and no improvement in the color or health of my lawn. I was actually sent a survey which I honestly filled out, then received a call from someone who was supposed to correct my billing as I was being charged more than I was quoted, and was promised they would send out a manager to see why their applications weren't working. Today I received a voicemail from someone who went to my yard and measured telling me that they were charging the minimum based on the size of my lawn and there was nothing they could do. Nothing was checked to see why their treatments weren't working, they just wanted to justify over charging me. I just called and cancelled the service. The lawn actually looked better when I was just putting down Turfbuilder myself. Don't waste your money.
