TruGreen did not show up for appointment on two occasions. When I complained after receiving the service, I was told by the customer service person that they would give me a 10% discount. That was 2 weeks ago. Follow up call on 10/29, rep stated refund would be processed in 2 days. Still no refund.

Very professional and knowledgeable. Explained everything he was doing and where he sprayed and why he couldn't spray in certain areas. Took me out and showed me the areas. Also told me when the Bermuda seed is planted. In the spring it will need to be watered constantly.

As always very good lawn service. Tend to need to keep lawn green and as close to weed free as possible. Service tech will almost always check if you are home to discuss your lawn needs and then goes about business.

TruGreen is doing a good job of maintaining my lawn. There are a few spots that need to be addressed. Probably need to have to resprayed due to all the rain we've experienced. My yard was treated a day before the rains started again.

Application of Lawn Fertilizer for weed control. The recommendation from Specialist ** - Eulus ** truck no. ** applying TruHealth Lawn Service. Our lawn had a large influx of weeds and because of this our lawn was beginning to look like a forest. This application and recommendation should allow our lawn to look very good next season.

It looked good until a section in my backyard looks like it was skipped with the seed. The holes were there but nothing grew in the area. There is a big bare spot in my backyard and my front has thin areas as indicated by my lawn technician.

As a first time customer I was impressed with the information that helped me decide to hire TruGreen. The sales rep was informative and answered all my questions. I was convinced I was about to hire a more skilled company to care for my lawn and for a more competitive price as well. Win win! All the Technicians that provide service to my residence are Phenomenal. They do a great job in serving my residence. No lawn is perfect, but TruGreen brought our lawn back to life. I just wish they could have gotten rid of the "crabgrass" clumps. I would think they would have the capability to do that. I truly wish they could have, as otherwise they would have been superb. They told me how to do it by digging it out, but I though they would have a better way.

It has been a great experience. I love the emails that the service is going to be done. Everyone is always quite professional. I appreciate their heads up because I have dogs. I was also skeptical about the mosquito spraying but it worked.

I have had TruGreen for 20 plus years. In Raleigh, I had relatively good service although I battled crabgrass every year in which they struggled to control. I have had them for 2 plus years in Southport, NC. It has been a terrible experience. Weeds, army worms, thinning turf, etc. along with different technicians telling me different reasons as to why my Bermuda sod was not improving. I recently cut them loose. I provided the TruGreen customer representative the details of my dissatisfaction. In fact, I asked the representative to have someone from corporate not affiliated with the Wilmington, NC office to call me. I wanted to share my experiences. She stated that I would receive a call. That was over a month ago. I am not sure TruGreen really cares about their customers at any level.

I prepaid for my lawn service. First application went well after that totally downhill. I have been trying to get in contact with TruGreen for months and have made numerous attempts. Each time I get the same response "A manager will contact you within 2 days." Never ever happens so I call back and get the same line every time. On top of not returning my calls I get numerous calls and emails wanting me to upgrade my service. Waste of time and money.

Worst company for customer service. The local branch charged my account twice and is yet to approve a refund after a week. No one can provide any accurate information on the refund. I am still waiting.

I have gone from practically no lawn in August to a beautiful green lawn since starting with TruGreen. Lawn has been re-seeded and irrigated successfully. Thank you! I now have a thick, healthy lawn. The gentleman was kind enough to wait till I got home to complete his service.

Lawn looks great. I feel like a person and not a number with all the personal service. No one is pushy and I feel this is a great company. I love that a real person has talked to me about the lawn care and truly listened to what I wanted. Once the lady down the street was given my lawn treatment being it was the same address except it wasn't North but West. TruGreen took no time at all to rectify the mistake. Thank you!!!

We recently had our home built and are attempting to establish our lawn. We thought we would try TruGreen to help the process. We found TruGreen to be very helpful to both our concerns of the lawn not taking off quickly as well as providing suggestions we could do to improve our soil quality. TruGreen went out of their way to ensure we were properly seeded and that the soil was properly aerated. At the end of the first year, we have a healthy and green lawn. I am certain the lawn will be lush and vibrant next spring.

I wish to congratulate your service technician that serviced my lawn this past week. She came to my door and greeted me with respect and courtesy. She explained what she was doing today to help my lawn, she asked if I had any concerns or questions. I watched her through the windows and she was very thorough and cautious not to spray my roses. She didn't see me, it was not like I didn't trust her, I just wanted to watch the application. Afterwards she again came to my door and left the printout of the application applied with all the details. Outstanding technician that TruGreen must be proud of. Our lawn was looking pretty bad, so we hired TruGreen for the year. The technician said it would take a couple years to bring it back. After one season of services, the lawn looks much better. We definitely plan to use TruGreen next season!!

I purchased my home Oct 2017, the lawn truly needed some TLC so I hired TruGreen. They did a wonderful job getting rid of weeds and improving the growth of my lawn. I will continue with the lawn service next year but not shrub and mosquito service. Wasn't as pleased with those services.

It's easy to reach TruGreen to leave a feedback or ask for a back service, but it's very difficult to get different specialists coordinated and on the same page. They don't understand your lawn equally. For example, I had reseeding and aeration serviced on a Friday, and the specialist told me I have lots of grub bugs and need a grub service ASAP in a day or two, otherwise the new seeds will be eaten.
I contact TruGreen immediately and rushed them several times, but was only able to schedule for a grub specialist about 2 weeks after. The grub specialist took a look at my lawn and left me a message saying nothing needs to be done because she didn't see any grub sign. I was very frustrated. Of course after 2 weeks, the bugs are no long visible on the surface. What frustrated me even more is that a third specialist showed up 2 days later, and applied fertilizer to my new seeds. I was told by TruGreen that NO chemical should be applied to new seeds until a month later. Obviously TruGreen's different departments did not talk over my lawn together, each one has their own schedule and nothing coordinates. Overall, this year I have had very frustrating experience. It seems my lawn has no change, if not looking worse, and I could have saved much hassle without using TruGreen.

Mr. Duane ** came and applied fertilizer to my grass to improve its health and color. He was friendly, well trained, got right to the treatment and asked if I had any questions. He did a superb job. I was very pleased with his work and professionalism.

Varying service. Never know if someone will actually show up. Pay for things you sometimes don’t get the results of, like a soil sample. Techs almost never go in the backyard. You can make any request you like on the phone, but in my experience you won’t get a callback.

I have been using TruGreen for my lawn and shrubs for a little over 2 years, trying to keep up with my neighbors. They call ahead always to let me know they are coming and always leave copies notes on condition and recommendations. My yard looks great.

I had a concern About some of my St. Augustine grass turning yellow 1 week after application. It ended up not being a problem but until I knew, I called in and was promised that someone would be out to check to make sure what was going on. Didn’t come. Am getting use to being promised by corporate and them not following through. Don’t like it much. 4 weeks later, I called in to inform them that nobody had ever shown up, they were very helpful but by that time, if there would have been a problem, it would have been too late.

I called and canceled my service when we were very dissatisfied with weeds. I called my rep to let him know about the problem several times. TruGreen continued with service with no improvement. We decided to cancel our service. I called the Cape Coral, Fl office and told them I wanted to cancel the service. I then get an invoice that allegedly was separate from my automatic billing to my credit card along with a letter from collection agency.
I call again for an explanation. I had to cancel again service. They said I had to pay for the Tree and Shrub treatment. Poor way to do business and then thanked me for being a customer. It was not the way a big company should business nor even offer to compensate for the many phone calls and discussions. They are only interested in getting your credit card info and charging without taking responsibility for the results they guaranteed. I shouldn't have to pay for a service I called and canceled for being dissatisfied. Please be aware of the reps selling you all the products and telling you to call them personally that they will handle your yard's problem areas. Not a good company to hire.

I have been asking for a person to contact me. Two times on the 800 number. I checked to have someone call me after my last service. My yard is dying. The brown spots are getting larger, I need someone to besides the service tech to come and look what is going on. I had nice grass when this service started, now it's junk. Alysha did as I asked about my problem with box elder bugs that were infesting around my garage door. She sprayed that area as well as around my house. I checked later in the day and found a lot of bugs dead on my driveway. I haven't had any further problem. THANKS.

Our lawn care experience did not have a smooth start. We had to have "second visits" to complete the first weed control visit as weeds were stubborn and first visit did not get all of the weeds (which is normal for beginning of season). Then we had to have "second visit" to fix a fertilizer visit due to improper coverage and green stripes in the yard. TruGreen did send someone out to correct these issues and we did have good results each time. Our neighbors have complimented on the look of our yard and I have referred them to TruGreen.

My experience with TruGreen is right in the middle. The positives: They are reliable. The app holds appointment information, tech information, visit notes, and a GPS of where and when to expect the technician. The negatives: Their plan is not yard specific. Technician notes are generic and sometimes not truthful (i.e. notes say yard looks great, but it is patchy or burnt). My last note said the tech knocked on the door, but no one was home. However, I was and heard (and saw) him leave the note so I chased him down the driveway. I would have rated lower had it not been that they are reliable.

I've had two other service providers for my lawn care over the past fifteen years and I can honestly say that TruGreen surpasses the level of service that I received from them and my lawn has never looked better. We've even had friends and neighbors comment on how nice our lawn looks this year. That most certainly has never happened before. Count me impressed. This is the first year TruGreen has treated my yard. Overall, pleased with everything. The grass is very green would like to work on the thickness for next year. There was a small issue that needs to be corrected with the amount of treatments I received. Signed up for 7 for the year. Only received 6. Other than that, workers great... Would recommend to others.

The only issue I had is my service would get rescheduled over and over. Then it took weeks to get service. The people doing the actual service are great. I only experienced scheduling problems this year. Nothing in the past. Maybe our crazy weather had something to do with it.

Stepan is superb! I had a rough start but since getting Stephan on my yard I am nothing but happy. He is very knowledgeable and my yard is looking great. The grass still is coming along but so much better.

Good job and TruGreen stands by their work. Aeration and seeding was performed great. Mosquito defense works wonders and made this summer a pleasure. Will continue to use in the future and recommend to friends and family. Fertilizer kept the grass green and lush all summer.

TruGreen technician came to my front door to let me know they were there but it took me a while to get to the door. It appears that they did a good job with service scheduled so I have no complaints with technicians or work performed.

They have all been knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. They have all been willing to advise us as to what our lawn and shrubs need. I watched the weeds deteriorate according to the info I received on my order. It was unbelievable to watch the weeds begin to wilt. I like the Service techs and there help in understanding what will occur from the application being applied. Service is really great and precise.

Communication is lacking between office and customer. I was told I would have Potash service done on 9/22/2018. That never happened and no one called me to say why. I called and they rescheduled for 9/27/2018. That never happened and no one called to say why. I called and they had no explanation for cancelling. They rescheduled for 10/2/2018. That never happened and no one called to say why. I called and they had no explanation again. Someone finally came out on 10/8/2018. The driver's spreader for the Potash was broken and he had to use a small handheld spreader. I have no idea if he covered all of my property as I did not follow him around the yard. The office has 3 different ways to contact me. COMMUNICATION is the key... I am very satisfied with my tech Paul **. He is knowledgeable and understands my yard needs.

After a rough start this summer--weeds, lawn not thriving, brown patches, repeated complaints, often change of specialists, Max came on the scene and made our lawn's revival his special project. I called 6 times, never a callback. I have your service in IL and it's great but the Indiana service is VERY unprofessional. I cancelled all future service and got someone who knows what they're doing...

Pest Control Service - This service was a re-do after initial first application. This time the tech did a very good job around foundation and needed areas. The first application left pests and did not spend enough time spraying. 2nd application was very good!!

Terrible service in general this season and after 3 years of full service from your company (lawn, tree & shrub, lawn pest, and mosquito defense) this year the lawn performed poorly with evidence of active disease, bare spots, and weeds. Also punctuality of service visits was extremely inconsistent. On numerous occasions this year I received advance notifications by phone and on the mobile app of planned service visits, but often they were 'no shows' without explanation. On at least two occasions this year I've called and expressed dissatisfaction to your call center reps but never got a return call or visit from anyone with authority or interest to address my concerns. From my perspective you don't care about my satisfaction or reward my loyalty. I will shop around for alternative lawn care service providers for 2019.

Had service done, when I got home, noticed that the aeration appeared not to be done, and seed was. Waited 3 weeks, watered as directed, no new grass. Called TruGreen and they said they would do again. They schemed 11/22, never showed up. Called again and told service would be done 11/29. Called for confirmation a few days before service, told not scheduled for 11/29. I plan on asking for a refund for this service if they don’t do it soon as it may already be too late in the season to grow anything.

The application (fungicide) was done promptly and on time as requested. The technician advised when he arrived. He did not notify though when he left. Nevertheless, I saw him do his job all over the yard. I strongly recommend TruGreen for all lawn applications starting in early spring thru late fall.

On October 9 TruGreen specialist Serge ** came to service my lawn. He told me everything my lawn was going through and how he would fix it. He put fertilizer, insect and weed control down and saturated it well. Took his time. He worked with passion not like someone wanting to get it over with. What a pro it is. Oct 25 as I write this and my grass already looks great. I highly recommend TruGreen for the affordable price. You will save a bundle in lawn damage. I hope they will send Serge in early Nov and don't schedule me when he is not working. Serge knows the problem areas on my lawn. Thank you TruGreen and hope to see Serge in Nov TY.

Jason ** has serviced my lawn three time with fertilizer and weed killer, and my lawn looks so much better than it did. Jaleel ** aerated my lawn and treated it with potash fertilizer. Very dissatisfied with service from day one. The specialist that have come to my home. Never complete the work. Aeration was done when we had a big rainfall for two days. All seeds were washed away. Call TruGreen. Someone came back out on10/18 and throw seeds down by hand. They have a lot of excuses for not getting the job done. Make sure you check your invoices carefully.

I am 74 years old. I have cared for my lawn all my life. Because of age I wanted to find someone to care for the lawn. TruGreen gave an amazing marketing pitch focusing on agronomist specialists, soil test, lawn specific treatment, thickest lawn in neighborhood, etc. TruGreen has made two visits, fertilizer and aeration. I see no testing or specialized treatment or individualized service. At this point I am only hoping lawn will equal what I did. I already had one of the best looking lawns in neighborhood before TruGreen. I tried to explain my motivation to the marketing agent and kept getting the same pitch. It looks like I will be paying $600+ a year for a service that I did myself for less than $200. I keep fingers crossed that TruGreen might match what I was doing before. Time will tell.

The service has been friendly but we’re disappointed with the aeration and seeding. The techs sped through their service and did not apply sufficient seeding to our property. There’s numerous areas that weren’t even seeded at all, which is ridiculous because I pointed them out to the tech while walking the property before he rushed through the seeding.

Mitchell returned to apply an extra application for control of morning glory. Chemical was hard to locate but he found it and came back. TruGreen is a great company to work with. I will call TruGreen in the spring to continue their service.

The men who came & did the work did a great job - thorough. The scheduling though was abysmal. Twice it was cancelled, but we were never informed until after 6pm. Then the day they actually came, it said they would come between 11am-4pm & they arrived at 830am! We were glad they came, but wanted to be here & almost missed them based on what the schedule said. So far none of the scheduled times for the TruGreen service have been correct which has been a frustration. The service has always been good though.

On the second visit of finishing the unfinished aerating and seeding the TruGreen specialist decided to argue with me telling me that I had a pool in the way and that is why they could not complete the work the first time. In an area in the back. I had the pool down for over a month prior to having them come out. I offered to show pictures of the backyard which she said was not necessary when I called after the first application telling them the area had not been done. I definitely felt like he was done for the day.

Didn’t happen. No one called. Paperwork said, "Water your grass". Called and they said someone would call me. No one called. Wife called, someone was going to call. No one did until 2 weeks later. Same nonsense as rest of this type of company.

WORST EVER!!! I hired TruGreen because my husband wasn't able to take care of the lawn this last summer and while he was recovering from surgery, I didn't want to have to worry about the care for the lawn. When I started with them, it was supposed to be front and back, every 6 weeks. After the first service, I was a bit dismayed, the lawn didn't show any difference. After the 2nd service, the lawn was turning brown, the weeds were growing strong, big and fast! I called them back and asked for a Supervisor to speak with (called on a Monday Morning) on Tuesday evening, they called my cell phone, not the number I gave them and I couldn't talk with the person. So I called back, they said they had not call in the system and would put it there. The following Sunday I got the automated call saying they would be there sometime on Monday, so I changed my schedule to be home when they got there.
When they came out the rep was a Sr. Tech, and refused to have a Supervisor contact me as requested then proceeded to tell me how the lawn was too wet (I had just finished watering) and it has fungus. There were mushrooms before they started. I think I knew that, the lawn was cut too low with a dull blade. It was a new lawnmower, the grass wasn't getting enough water, (wait, didn't he just tell me it was too wet?) So he did a service, the grass greened up and the weeds weren't as noticeable. The next service they came, I was out of town, and when I got home, the grass was dying again. I called them back out and this time my husband was home, the tech told him the grass was stressed from not enough water, but they would do a service.
2 days later we had to shut off the water so the pipes wouldn't freeze. I cancelled our service. Yesterday I got a call from someone who was trying to keep the service, and stated maybe they should set better expectations when starting the service. I think changing the name of the company to Brown Lawn/Green strong Weeds would totally set the expectations. My husband was recovering from Cancer and I have 2 special needs children, chasing down the lawn company is not what I need to be spending my time and money on. Thanks but no Thanks!

We used TruGreen services for the second year in 2018. Unfortunately something went very wrong this season and since August our lawn is completely ruined (I cannot attach a photo here, but I have them available). Grass is completely burned and while neighbors grass came back our property is an eye sore. I contacted the company multiple times during September and October and I was promised manager coming to the property and re-seeding service but neither ever took place. In summary, I spent more than $500.00 to have my lawn ruined and TruGreen is not responsible for it at all. I feel I was treated unfairly and that TruGreen Lawn Care did not keep their part of the service agreement.

Our backyard is landscape and made for outdoor entertaining but with the start of spring we started to have issues w/ mosquitos. We tried sprays, candles and bracelets but nothing really worked consistently. I saw a TruGreen advertisement on the internet and decided to try TruGreen w/ a coupon offered. The office rep that took my info was cordial and very helpful. The sales rep that came and sprayed gave info re: the process and what to do if more assistance is needed.
We started in late April and continued through to September. The Sales rep always informed us when he would be on site and would discuss any issues with our yards (standing water, etc.) before he left. Mosquitoes were an infestation issue in our area so we knew it would be difficult to control because of this problem but TruGreen and is product worked well through most of the months used. Would recommend and have to (our neighbors) everyone that mentions an issue with mosquitoes.

I am enjoying the service from TruGreen, my technicians have been Kevin ** and Wendy **. It may not be possible, but 48hrs notice before visits would be helpful, I was able to clear some leaves before Kevin's visit but Wendy had to clear some leaves, although her report says there were not enough to inhibit her application. Their reports were very thorough and I look forward to scheduling additional services as they are recommended. By the way, who is William ** as noted on the bottom of my reports.

So far we have been very satisfied. The service has been performed promptly and on a regular basis. When an extra visit was requested, the technician came out within a couple of days at no additional charge. We are notified by email and phone. The cost for various services is fair, and there is no long term commitment. They are trying very hard to earn our business. Pleased thus far.

Recently had aeration and overseeing done. I high recommend this service. After this summers intense rain and heat the lawn needed it. I grew up working on a golf course so I'm familiar with what grass should look like. TruGreen takes care of our lawn like a golf course.

I have been a customer of Scotts/TruGreen for many years. I have stayed with this company because of their loyalty to customers me in general. I think the way your company treats me is the best I have been treated, I have questions I get answers, I asked to have the same tech do my applications because of the property line, it's confusing and new techs every applications makes it hard. I have Had Greg for the last year or so and I believe he is the best tech I have ever had. He understands my problems, and keeps me informed to what I should do and when I should do it. He is very knowledgeable about my lawn.
My plans are to stay with Scotts/TruGreen for the future lawn care. I want to thank everyone involved with the care of my lawn and look forward to keep our relationship to the future. Looking back; I can honestly say we have come a long way from the scrawny lawn I had when we started. The specialist and technicians have done wonders! My goal was to enjoy a greener lawn and thanks to TRUGREEN; I have one. There is still a bit more work to do but we have a lawn with a nice foundation to built on. In addition as I get close to my house I am the proud owner of a green lawn, which I said in the beginning was my first objective; Thank You! I will submit images at a later date.

I don't really write a review unless my experience was really good or the other way around. In TruGreen's case it was the worst one and I suggest the company to change their name to Falsegreen! I hired TruGreen beginning of the season this year for chemicals, aeration and overseeding and prepaid them for all the services. On the second application which was done on 5/31/18 my lawn was burnt in multiple spots throughout the lawn due to too much chemical. I noticed the burned spots next day, called the customer service and I was told someone will come to take a look. The guy came few days later and told me to keep watering the grass will grow back.
I watered religiously for 5 weeks and saw no improvement. Called customer service again and I was told manager from the local office will get back to me. Waited for a week but no one called me. I reached out to customer service many times and each time I was told local manager will be getting back. I waited for the local manager to contact me for over three months but no use. Eventually I called TruGreen for the last time and cancelled the service. Totally UNACCEPTABLE way of treating a customer. I would NEVER recommend TruGreen to anyone. They do not know what they are doing.

I agreed to a 167.87 charge for a service and was bragging about what a great service I was getting but really in the end it really cost me $656.87. The salesmen completely duped me! The technician got his plug machine stuck in my yard because he was doing it in the rain, got mud all over my driveway and just left it. The worst service I’ve experienced in years.

I have just ended my second year with TruGreen. I sought their expertise because of an invasive weed in my Zoysia. This time last year they had not made any progress with the weed, only to find out they did not know what it was. This year I expressly told each person with that I wanted that weed eradicated. Another company finally diagnosed my problem and addressed it. Please be aware that you are signing a contract and it does not matter if TruGreen does a good job or not. Also be aware that you will be targeted by phone solicitors trying to sell other TruGreen services not in your contract. No matter how I explained their lack of progress, they failed to perform. I will never have them on my property again. I am paying my last payment under my contract, I have wasted hundreds of dollars with this company in 2018.

We had Josey ** service our lawn and he was great. Very personable and helpful. I wish I had a little more outlined treatment schedule though. I’m a planner and it was difficult to plan ahead with our kids playing outside and a babysitter with only 12-24 hr notice.

We are really satisfied with TruGreen. We've had them do our yard for at least the last 2 yrs. The communication between us and them is really important to us. We are always able to speak to someone when calling. When they come to service us, they are friendly and accommodating. We've had many compliments on our yard. Enjoyed working with TruGreen. I had no trouble with the service tech or the staff at this TruGreen providers. There were although pestering callers from other locations who came leaving flyers to get them to service my property than the TruGreen agent servicing my home. That was bothersome. There seems to be a disconnect as the agencies do not know which neighborhood is being serviced by their colleagues.

I've used TruGreen as I read on social media that they were suppose to be good service provider and monitor your lawn. However, the services they provided were okay at first. I still had weeds throughout the year but at least my lawn wasn't completely damage first couple of times. Then in August when the weather was brutal technician kept on coming in and spraying the lawn even though it was heavily raining. After all my grass all burned out and TruGreen didn't even bother to connect with me to check on what could be a problem and how it can be fixed.
I filed 2 complains, spoke with 3 managers over the phone and they finally got to look at my lawn on 10/22/18 after 3 month had already passed since my lawn was destroyed. They evaluated my lawn based on 3 month after the fact and said it was not their fault, it's all bugs that they never even bothered to tell me about because my plan did not include bug treatment, but they should have at least told me and let me consider adding new services before my lawn was destroyed. Either way I do not believe my lawn was destroyed by bugs to begin with as it was clearly burned first with pesticides they used and then overtime because my lawn was naked plus rain bugs started to spread apparently.
When I asked them to help me resolve the problem all I was told go buy some grass seed and soil and re-seed your lawn yourself. We won't do this service for you for free and won't reimburse you for the damaged because it's not our fault. In my opinion it was their fault and they didn't take time to evaluate my lawn earlier to see real reason but waited 3 month.
Also, throughout services they did not call me or came in to do service while I was home even once. All the technician did was left a note of what he did with my lawn which for the most part was foreign language to me as I'm not working in lawn industry. I'm very unsatisfied with the service and refuse to ever use them again. Also, DO NOT recommend to use this company to anyone no matter how great offer they try to sell you over the phone. They are not trustworthy, do not keep real records of the lawn and don't follow up with you.
They honestly don't care about you and your lawn. They just do treatments by schedule to be on time with their original treatment plan without even taking to consideration that circumstances could have changed. They refuse to help you fix their damage at their and won't give you a reimbursement. The most I was offered by the manager is to send him pictures of my lawn because his technician doesn't take photos of the lawn and he offered me to cancel my plan after they already use all the visits so they was no cash to be paid back to the customer for unused "services". So not use TruGreen, not worse the investment.

The person who was going to remove weeds and plant vegetables in my garden asked me if that area was treated with weed killer, too. When I asked your worker next time, he came and he said it was. My gardener didn't think it was wise to plant vegetables there. So no vegies this year. Treated as well, and I was told they were.

The process of scheduling was not customer friendly. For the first schedule the person ran out of time and called saying he could not make it. I called to reschedule and the scheduler could only give me a window of one week and I told them when I would be out of town. When the next schedule was set it was set for the day that I would not be there. After several calls and insisting on more certainty on days a supervisor called. If I continue to have this level of service I will be cancelling my plan with TruGreen. Also when questions are asked of the person doing the service they are not showing much knowledge on caring for the lawn like how much to water after seeding etc. Had to call a supervisor. I thought I was paying for people with experience and expertise.

TruGreen has been doing my yard for about a year. The yard still has the same weeds and unless I have pulled them they don't die from what you have claimed to do. The grass is no greener from when I started. I question whether or not any treatment has ever been done to my yard since I have not been home during treatment. The salesman called me every day to get my business but has never returned my call after I signed up. Very disappointed in your service.

As I previously reported, I contacted TruGreen for lawn services in the spring, and I pre-payed between $600 and $700 dollars for the service. I have no complaints about those services except that the technicians did not always seem to be well-informed about what to do. Around the first of October, I further requested the service of seeding and core aerating my lawn, and the technician performed these duties on 10/08/18. Again, I have no complaints. I agreed to pay $200.00 for these services when I asked for them.
On October 12, 2018, Stan came to my house to perform a spraying service. I was not sure what he was going to spray, but I did believe this service was related to my initial agreement for lawn services back in the spring. Stan was very nice, and performed his duties efficiently. Please note: I had not discussed receiving any further services from TruGreen, nor had I agreed to any further payments to TruGreen, other than the two agreements mentioned above. Imagine my surprise when I went online to arrange my payment for the seeding and aeration, only to discover that I had been billed an additional $68.95 for the insect spraying Stan applied on 10/12/2018. I entered my credit card number and made a payment for the full amount. I received the service, and I paid for it.
In the hours and days following, I thought about this more, and I got pretty angry. No one discussed with me any additional services to be performed on my lawn, other than the two agreements listed above. I never agreed to pay for any additional services other than the two agreements listed above. I believed the visit on 10/12/18 was pre-paid in my initial agreement with TruGreen when the services were performed. I did not know this was something extra, and if I had known, I would not have agreed to have the service performed. None of this is Technician Stan's fault.
To this date, I have not received any contact from my local TruGreen franchise, in spite of my earlier written contact and complaint. I let it be known then, and I am telling you now: How TruGreen handles this issue will determine whether I ever contract with TruGreen for lawn services again. Furthermore; if this is not handled professionally, I will give negative reviews on the internet that will cost you more business than just my little account. Again, for the second time: The ball is in your court. What are you going to do?

First, TruGreen does not believe in meeting customers at their location prior to signing up- this would have prevented some subsequent confusions! Second, I said Bermuda and they sent Zoysia truck. Apparently the person was still able to do the right treatment, I was told, but this does not build trust. Third, there was a disagreement between what was on my report and what one of the TruGreen people on the phone discussed with me, clearly this further erodes my trust in service.
Finally, 2 weeks after the service some weeds are thriving, clearly they were not treated. So I have low confidence that the yard was treated in the way it should have and in the way I would have requested if TruGreen believed in a in person pre agreement appraisal, which goes back to my point one. I am sure it can be a good service once the kinks are out, but my first experience is well below my expectations. They apparently also do not communicate through email. Phone calls are very disruptive! I work when you work and have no time for personal calls and then you are not available on the weekend. So why not allowing customers to e.g. send inquiry by email. I think you owe me to restart the clock on this treatment cycle and start from very beginning (and pay for the past treatment).

Serviceman knew what he was doing and was very nice. He was careful to close the gate so my dogs won’t get out. Talked to me regarding the application, asked if I had any concerns. Service as was going to get back to me regarding some bore holes in one of the shrubs. I haven’t heard back yet.

My lawn used to be the envy of my neighbors when I was using Turf Masters for 10 years. Last year they were bought out by TruGreen. My lawn was looking like it used to but figured I would give TruGreen another shot. This year is the worst yet. Tons of weeds, bare spots and brown. I didn't say much because I read the reviews of our local Danbury, CT office on Yelp and they were all negative. The final straw which is prompting me to write this horrible review about this company is after the technician tore up my lawn with his equipment and I called the Danbury office and the Hartford, CT office, they stated that a manager would call me within the week. It has been 2 weeks and still no calls.
The technician came a day after we had 4 inches of rain to perform the fall application. He got stuck in the yard and tore it up. Said he would be back the next day with grass seed to repair it. It needs topsoil first to repair the gouges he left in my lawn. Furthermore, he listed on the work invoice that he serviced the entire lawn of 20,000 square feet. He made 1 pass and got stuck and then left. When I called the office, there was no note of the damage or work order to repair it.
I would advise anyone thinking of using this company to do a lot of research and review the complaints. Although TruGreen lists at the top of their website that "We back it all with our TruGreen Healthy Lawn Guarantee", they do not state what that guarantee is. I can assure you, it is not a healthy looking lawn. I am sure I will get the standard response to follow up with them with a private message, but I do not expect much from them in the way of repairing my lawn and urge all to stay away from this company.

I work weekends and find it hard to find time to devote to the care of my lawn, the weeds were taking over and the lawn had developed bald spots, so I called TruGreen. They come and preform the treatments without anyone having to be home and leave detailed account of what was preformed. There for the Title "No Hassle Lawn care".

I have appreciated the time and information that the service technician has given me. He is always friendly and full of advice about problems I experience with my lawn. A very knowledgeable and courteous person. A lot of times when I have had repetitive problems of the same nature, Eddie keeps encouraging me to keep trying different things to help resolve the problems. He is very patient when asked with several requests. I do know his time is limited, but he never acts in a hurry.

The technician Sean ** that cares for my shrubs and trees does a very professional work. I had the lawn service as well like over a year ago but I had to cancel that service. They were coming twice a month for almost the same treatment and sometimes I had to postpone a visit so it wouldn’t be three visits in the same month for the lawn. I felt that was abusive and the service was canceled .

I had a Service Wednesday and all that was done was a fertilization. I have a lot of weeds and I'm unhappy that there was no attempt to kill them. Paying $61 just to fertilize is disappointing. The Tech came out Thursday for an Aeration, but did nothing other than leave my gate open. Being that I have two dogs, that's a big deal and I don't appreciate the lack of responsibility.

I called TruGreen to have service in my grass since that grass is been getting worst, I called them and they say it was an insect and they will apply something to kill it, and they will charge me like 47.00 each month after first treatment. Grass dying more and more so I called them again and they say the problen was not really the insect. It was another type of treatment that will cost me about 160.00. I don't want my grass dying so I say if you guys sure that will fix it do it. I'll pay it but after that treatment grass even worst. Now they say is something else. So I been spending my money for nothing? Just to see my grass dying and they don't reimburse the money because I already use the service, what service? Bad company I wish this review help someone else to go and find another company and don't make same mistake I made!!!

I gave contract to TruGreen to treat weeds in my lawn. Technician burnt the whole backyard grass as he sprayed the so harsh chemicals on the whole lawn. It was burnt like a graveyard. My parents were here to visit us in summer and because of this service our whole summer is ruined. We could not call our friends over for Barbecue party in backyard. When I called to complain, rep suggested me for Grub treatment, where I was not told that this treatment is for the bugs in my lawn. I understood that it will help my lawn to be fixed. Now they are asking to pay for this treatment which I was not made aware of. Horrible service, I will never recommend TruGreen services to anyone.

I have been a customer for approximately 7 years. During this time TruGreen has done a great job with my weed and lawn care. However, every time I have used the aeration service there has been issues. From not aerating the strip between the sidewalk and road after having called about it each time it continued to happen. This year I prepaid the fall aeration, and there was someone at my house to do this on July 7. When I called to express my displeasure with this I was given the response that aeration can be done anytime during the year. I explained that I paid for 1 and it was to be done in the FALL. So this person scheduled it for the middle of August. I got it cancelled before they came out and rescheduled for the 3rd week in October. It was completed in the first week.
The service tech hit my shed with the machine and told my wife about it promptly (good Job) but the Supervisor that called me to see how I wanted to handle it (2 weeks Later) has yet to come out and fix it. No call, no show. I operate a tree service company and would be extremely embarrassed by these results. As far as I am concerned your field employees are representing you well. Management in this area is asleep at the wheel.

TruGreen did a very good job. Fertilizing and crabgrass control. Timing of work was right on. I look forward to one more app. this coming spring. I will contact them at some point at the start of next spring. I would recommend all to use TruGreen for all of their lawn problems. They are good on the phone and good doing the job.

I have only had TruGreen for a short time but I can tell already it is doing my lawn a lot of good. This was an especially bad year for weeds and the lawn service I had was just not doing the job. Since I have had TruGreen the weeds have been reduced significantly and I'm sure next season will be much better! The only thing I don't like is the upselling.

The new tracking system is very helpful when scheduling your day if you prefer to be around when the service person arrives. I have had two service visits. They were within the time period scheduled and the service people were courteous, efficient and left the property clean and free of residue. I have had fertilization weed killing and aeration. I took pictures before the service started. I am waiting for the changes.

Our lawn has stayed lush and green all season long, even through the hottest portion of summer. Going into the fall season, our yard is still lush and weed free. Rodnick started treating my lawn in early spring when it had just been tore up by construction and was heavily weeded. He promised me he could save it, and he delivered. It is good to know that the crew gets there at a time when it does not affect my coming and going. The last two guys were very good at what they were doing. I was looking around online for lawn services in my area as my yard is really starting to need it. I filled out an application for a quote through TruGreen as I have heard a lot of people use it. As soon as I submitted that quote someone called me immediately. I talked to them on the phone for a good 30 minutes telling them that I’m not the owner of the property, and that I’m just looking around at prices for our lawn care. The lady who called me told me that was fine and I could always call back if I was interested in purchasing a service. Fine and dandy right? WRONG. Two days later I get a voicemail saying that the next day will be my first treatment. My first treatment of what? I didn’t even have a chance to talk to my landlord yet!
I called the customer service line and almost every sentence ended in “well we wouldn’t have signed you up without your constant” which is BS! They acted like it was my fault? The guy was SUPER rude, and completely going over everything I said. He even came back at me saying that they could go back to the call as it was recorded, almost as a threat and I told him go for it!!! It would show that I never signed up for anything. TLD: DON’T EVEN ANSWER THE CALL UNLESS YOU WANT TO HAVE TO CALL 20 TIMES TO CANCEL A SERVICE YOU NEVER APPROVED!

We were told Aeration was extremely important and had to be done this fall but it wasn’t scheduled and I called local contact multiple times but she never called back. I called toll free number and was told it was scheduled but no one came. A solicitor for TruGreen came and I told him our trouble and he called us back after finding we wouldn’t be scheduled until tutor spring. Our lawn is yellow and dry and worse than our neighbors that have no service. Waste of money!

I just recently began services with TruGreen after reading numerous reviews regarding their service. Overall, I was very satisfied with the scope of work as everything was completed in a timely manner. Unfortunately, the service technician did not do a good job of keeping dirt off our walkway nor did they bother to clean up after the fact. I was able to clean it afterwards and not a huge deal.
Upon receiving my first invoice I noticed that not only was I not being charged the original starting price of $29.95 but I was also being double invoices for $56.95. Soon after I contacted a customer service rep whom appeared to be very helpful and ensuring I would be refunded the $56.95 and would only be charged the $29.95 for the first service. It has been two weeks now and I have not received the reimbursement, a credit towards my account or a follow up call. As I previously stated overall it is a great service for the scope of work however there is definitely areas in which to improve.

Our lawn looked pretty good for a while and now it never looked worse. We have grubs eating the lawn and TruGreen did not spray for that. We figured when we hired TruGreen if the lawn had a problem, which I mentioned, when the guy came to spray it would have been taken care. TruGreen is too busy trying to make more money selling phosphorus then dealing with what we already pay for!

We are new to TruGreen but I am so far very impressed with them. They came right back out to reseed and aerate our yard because we had such torrential rains it washed all our seed away and flattened the plugs. They are really nice when they come out. TruGreen twice canceled my aeration and overseeding then said it was my fault, and they would have to work me in. I had already paid a bill, but they sent me a notice the bill had not been paid! A TruGreen supervisor came out going a spot check, and saw what kind of shape the lawn was in. Did nothing to get it corrected. Their service has gotten poorer each year. We are about to go to another yard service.

Updated on 10/23/2018: After two times of rescheduling my lawn service (aeration and overseeding) few weeks ago, finally I got company notice that they will come for service today (10/23). I have been waiting at home since 8am this morning. But I did not see anyone come. At around 2:30 pm, I got notice saying service was completed. OH god, company is lying to their customer, it declares completion of service which actually not started at all. This is totally acceptable and I am shame on the behavior. I tried live chat and hotline asking for help, unfortunately up to now I did not get any explanation and solution from the company. As a customer, I feel really helpless and upset.
Original Review: 10/9, your staff came at noontime for aeration and overseeding service. However he said he need a rider after viewing my lawn size (but your company can easily check my lawn size real time when I called for lawn package services. After he left, I got a notice saying service was cancel due to my request which I was really annoyed. 10/11, I call your South Bend office asking the exact schedule. I was told seeding will be done before end of day 10/15. Unfortunately, schedule again was not committed.
On Sat, we got a notice saying that technician will come on 10/16. Though I was not happy with the change but at least I know service is coming. To my surprise, my nightmare just starts. Today at 12:11pm, I know your technician did not come as I can check real time. I got a service cancel notice. I was frustrated and call your South Bend office again. The lady who pick up the phone gave me first reason, weather (Raining and wet). I said I was at home. Today is a sunny day. She then gave me another reasons, saying I did not flag my sprinkler head on the Lawn. I said nobody tells me before. She said there should be an email notifying me. To be honest I did not get this email at all, I got your notice email, cancel email, I did not get this reminder email.
I asked when I can expect the service. She said she did not know. I hang up and try live chat. The guy was not able to help neither. I was really mad, expressing my unsatisfactory. Poor service, poor customer service minded, poor help. He/she did not respond and ended after 2 minutes. I went to Facebook and post my feeling, someone did ask for my info but no actions or response either. I am now very depressed on what I have been face since last week. Somebody in your company should step up and give me a solution/commitment when, how and what, i.e. when will be the service, how will you handle this complain, what will you do in next 24 hrs to make your first customer happy.

1st. Been very happy with what you’ve been doing and I can tell the yard looks and is better than it has the last couple years. Now. Last application was applied after rain/drizzle overnight. Still drizzling dure AM. Voiced concerns and told it would still work. Well as of now there are a consideable number of weeks thriving around the yard. Also. Have not contacted anyone yet but was going to.

In an effort to not over treat your lawn we do ask that customers wait at least ten days after an application before doing another.
After ten days if you don’t see that the application is working we will come back and re-do the service at no cost.

I am very satisfied with the regular service! But when I called about the armyworms I got several different answers. The office said they would be here a certain and never showed up. We stayed home all day and waited on them. Called again and was told was still getting scheduled. It took approximately 2 weeks to get here so we will see how much permanent damage is done.

Aeration and seeding. Work was done on time and at a fair price. I would definitely recommend. Billing was easy to understand. It is easy to track arrival of technician on computer. They will arrive on time whether permitting. The technician was courteous. I was informed on exactly what work was done.

Having found an internal person willing to listen to our issues we are now in touch with the local General Manager who is seeking to resolve our issues. When this review was completed it seemed like an internal feedback system not an external one so I am surprised this was accessible to others. Now almost resolved but it should not be so difficult to get service - the training needs to improve.

If I could give this company negatives I would. I signed up with TruGreen upon my brother in law's recommendation to help take care of the weeds in my yard. I signed up and the first time they came out the worker treated 1/8 of my yard. I have home security cameras outdoors and there was no denying it. They did send someone out to re-do the service but unless I had the cameras it never would have been done. I kept the service because they were happy to come out and do it again.
They did the job for about a month after that but the treatments they were using killed all my grass and turned it into a dust bowl. Literally I would walk on what was grass and a cloud of dust would pop up with each step. I called to cancel the service and just keep the next seeding and aeration ($589.00). The customer service representative convinced me to keep the monthly service and they would give me the aeration and seeding for free in the fall. I agreed and everything went on as normal. The fall arrived and I didn't keep up with the service at the end of my year sign up. I called several times to make sure that I would still be receiving my aeration and seeding promised and was assured a service representative would contact me and it would still be free.
No answer for weeks... Finally I got an automated call stating that I would be receiving the service that week. I called again to make sure that it was free and got the tired, "a service manager will get in contact with you in 24 hours". No answer... Then the service came... for 3 minutes... 3 MINUTES TruGreen drove around my yard leaving ruts in the (now more weedy than ever) grass with their machine and never seeded or even used the aeration device attached to the front of it. *I have the camera footage and pictures to prove it. Worst of all... I was charged the full price for the "service".
I had to dispute the charge with my credit card company and wait months to find out that my credit card would not be holding me responsible for the charge. TruGreen had the audacity to call and try and get me to sign back up with them. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY unless you have outdoor security cameras and don't mind fighting them to get what you paid for! I would not recommend TruGreen, at least in the area servicing me, to anyone.

I called TruGreen to schedule sprinkler winterization and talked with one lady who said someone else would call me to schedule. I then received another phone call from a sales person where I gave him my billing information. I was told then that a third person would contact me to schedule my appointment. I never got that phone call. I think it's ridiculous to have to talk to 3 people before they would even come out. I was getting ready to hire another company when the salesperson called me back and said they would take care of me and kept apologizing so I gave them a second chance, and credit card info AGAIN.
As I was on the phone with the man that was supposed to come out he didn't even know who the salesperson was (even though their desks are very close by). I was thinking then how unorganized that company really is, especially for a large company. Anyway, they never showed up for the appointment. I had to take off work to be home and no call, no show. I would never recommend this company to anyone. Needless to say I called a different company and with one phone call got everything I needed.

I was eager to begin the service and happy to give them my money to get my lawn back in shape after the hurricane debris damaged it. I tried the service for 3 months and invested in 3 brand new pallets of sod (I installed sod) to assist with the lawn recovery. After 3 months and having my new sod begin to die and look patchy I called customer service and told them I was not seeing results. The gentleman told me they will cancel my next payment which was a week out until they could get a manager to go out to my home to inspect and begin getting results to my satisfaction. They never sent a manager after 3 more calls and 60 days later but kept showing up to treat my lawn.
I two different techs on two different occasions that I will not be paying for the service and they left without doing the service. They would however keep calling me trying to sell me every other service they offer and when I would tell them my lawn was still not yielding the advertised results they were quick to end the phone call and never had a manager call me back as I requested. They continued to bill me until I called AMEX to discontinue the auto pay. They then sent me to collections for $100 of service they claim they provided which they didn't and I never received any value for all the other $$ I paid them. I would caution anyone to use them. I regret that I did and have told several people of my experience and will continue to do so. They are quick to take your money and send you to collections without providing results.

Our yard before service was so terrible, bumpy, filled with weeds all over. In just a short year of service, it is lush, green, and comfortable to spend time in. We were so satisfied with the price as well, as we have children and many other things for our money to go to. Overall, this was such a great experience.

Said they performed the service to our lawn and didn't and also have big brown spots in lawn. When called to report this, I received a call the next day from someone named Miss ** who said she was coming to take care of it. She never showed and after many calls and texts and promises by her that she was on her way, I gave up after 4 days and called her boss. He said he was coming out himself and never showed. Then I called his boss and he never showed either. I cannot get anyone to come make this right. We have never had a problem with TruGreen in the past 4 years and don't understand why they won't call us back. We always pay in full for the season. They have lost our business and I will be sure to tell everyone I know not to use TruGreen. I am also putting a sign in my yard by the brown spots with a sign that says, "TruGreen did this!"

TruGreen is an excellent lawn care service. I signed up with them in 2014 and our front lawn literally looked like hay. A mow, blow, and go lawn guy had infused all types of grass in our yard along with a thick yellow straw type weed. Neighbors were complaining so we hired TruGreen and they literally turned our yard into a deep, dark green luscious yard. It was UNBELIEVABLE!!! We had the best looking yard in the neighborhood! Everybody was jealous!! You'll Never waste your money by letting them care for your lawn. Now, if only they mowed, trim, and etc. When they start their sprinkler system program in our area, we will sign up.

I prepaid for fire ant treatment and they never showed up. I called every day to get our treatments started but no one could give me a date as to when they will come out. I called the main number. Asked for a refund.

Horrible is the way to describe the way our lawn looks now. After one season with TruGreen our grass looks true brown. District manager came out to look at it, and took no accountability for the amount of weeds and brown spots in our yard. Extremely dissatisfied with this company think twice before you hire them.

You have done a great job with aeration reseeding and fertilization. New seed sprouted in about 10 days. The fertilization has my lawn thick and greener than it has been in the past. The only problem is that the raccoons are tearing up the turf going after grubs etc.

Aeration and overseed - Your service of my lawn is always good. I just don't like that I can't set up a more specific time for my services. I can only set up a time window, but I'd like to create a specific appointment time so that I can be home when the service is completed.

I started out the summer with a very poor looking lawn. There were lots of brown patches and its overall appearance was not good. I had never used TruGreen before so I decided to give them a try. Part way through the summer and a few treatments later my lawn looked beautiful!! I got a lot of great advice from TruGreen on how to care for my lawn. I will be back again next year! I have TruGreen under contract since early 2017 to treat my lawn, in particular to take care of violets and bare spots. To date, the violets are still here and striving, and after two years the bare spots are finally disappearing. Another overseeding will be needed to complete the work though. Overall my lawn looks average at best and definitely not as good as other lawns in my subdivision. Note that other weeds are absent so their product does work in most cases. Based on results, despite a very high number of services and reservices this year, I am not planning to renew my contract next year. I would not recommend TruGreen for challenging lawn conditions.

Overall pleased with TruGreen service. Only complaint would be nutsedge control. The annual aeration and seeding is a great value and done well. Also like the fact the same tech services my yard and knows the layout. Like the recommendations TG makes but sometimes seem rote.

Since becoming a TruGreen customer my lawn has developed into one of the nicest in my development. I have a restful sleep knowing they will be taking care of what I used to do. I'm not sure why I waited so long to go TruGreen.

During the last visit the professional lawn care specialist pointed out that I had fungus that was killing my front yard grass. There are huge brown dead patches that make the front yard look terrible. It made sense when he explained it, then I thought why is this not taken care of in the package I purchased in Spring. I will say most of the Year the lawn looked great but somewhere in the middle these brown patches showed up and made the front look like crap. I would have thought that all the applications might deter such an issue. But I feel I can safely say, whether it be wrong from my own personal opinion, that my front yard looks the worst right now than anyone else's. Let me know what can be done to correct this in the future is it seems like something like this should have not have occurred.

When I moved into this house, the lawn looked dead. Less than 1 year later, it is green and mostly weed free. Thanks to the consistent service provided by the TruGreen professionals, I think by the end of next summer it will be one of the nicest lawns on the block.

Professional staff, great results - lawn has never looked better! Staff answers all questions and show a genuine interest in the well being of our lawn. Telephone notification when they are going to be at the house to perform the service... Very happy with their service!

I have used TruGreen for about 20 years. They provide consistent service and do it well over the entire season. I always prepay and get their discount. The people they hire present themselves very well and always are courteous and friendly.

All summer used TruGreen and my lawn looks horrible. I planted grass seed and irrigation and overseeding was done by you, our looks way better. I think I'm taking a year off from my applications. Most times the front part of the house was never done.
