To say that the service I have received thus far with TruGreen was less than acceptable would be an understatement. Since buying the service, they have come to my property twice. The first time, I specifically asked for them to call me ahead of time so that I could be here, which they promised to do, but failed to follow through with. They did come the next day after I called with a complaint. However, the "specialist" called me at 6:30 AM to schedule a time. My most recent service was today. My yard is overrun with bermuda grass weed. The so called "specialist" informed me that this is the type of grass I can expect throughout the process of TruGreen servicing my home.
When I bought the service, I was told that the yard would be seeded with Fescue. I did a great job growing weeds by myself, why would I need to hire someone to do it for me? Unless something remarkable happens, I will no longer be a customer of TruGreen. It has been one headache, one lie, one example of incompetence after the next.

In general I'm pleased with the appearance on my lawn, timeliness of the specialist and friendliness, quality of the job. On the last survey I indicated that the weeds (spurge, pig weeds and the morning glory) needs to be addressed on the next application of service. Our specialist is always on time and lets me know what he is doing for my lawn that particular day. Have always been pleased with our service from TruGreen.
Update on 6/7/18: I am very happy with the staff at TruGreen, from those who answer the phone and provide assistance to those who physically come to my residence to perform my services. I have had Mitch doing my lawn for the past couple of years and cannot say enough good things about him. He is very professional, courteous and a great worker. I always insist that he be the one to get my order because I like talking with him, as he is very knowledgeable.
I am also pleased with how quickly TruGreen responds to my needs. This year I did not see results fast enough for my weed control. When I called, I was told someone would be out to perform the service again, at no charge. Now that is truly looking out for the customer and making sure they are happy with their services. Your new app is also great. I get notifications as to when my service will be performed and when it is completed.
I cancelled TruGreen last year because of some financial issues and signed up with another provider. Never again -- the new provider burnt my lawn. I sheepishly called TruGreen to reinstate my service and they were willing to take me back. Again, great phone service with courteous people. If asked, I always recommend TruGreen. Thanks for your great service!

Two technicians were sent out and contacted me to get the exact nature of my complaint - then took steps to resolve the issue. After the first tech finished a supervisor came out to interview me and check to see if I was being taken care of. I told him one tech had been there and addressed the issue, the other tech would be out the next day to address the other issue. He gave me his card with a local number to call not the call center in the East somewhere.

I saw no improvement from the beginning. Weeds everywhere. We were having our shrubs etc. treated also. No help there either. They would say "it takes time". So we let it go on for a year, and continued having them re-treat both shrubs and lawn. Bushes look as scruffy as ever. Grass is still full of weeds - where it is still growing. A lot of our grass just up and died. Don't believe for a minute that their "Guarantee" is any good. It's not. Even if they do come out and spray again, they will still do a sloppy job of the easy to reach spots and let the areas that need help go without. Their workers don't care. They are just in a hurry. I asked for a refund for all I paid since there was no improvement. I got back $64.80 after paying in well over $1000. My advice, DON'T USE TRUGREEN. Find another company.

Our lawn is looking greener, healthier and more weed-free since we started our TruGreen treatments this spring. While we are always at work during the treatments, we get a phone call in advance so we know they are coming. There is always documentation of the visit with how our lawn was treated and with which chemicals and fertilizers.
Whenever I've spoken with the folks from TruGreen, they've been friendly, knowledgeable and professional. We had a review of the yard recently and I thought the suggestion that we aerate in the fall was a good one and the pricing reasonable. I like that a discount is given if you pay up front for the service as well. All in all, I'd say that TruGreen provides excellent service at a reasonable price and we are both very pleased. If the staff who do the work and if their supervisors cannot take the time to see the results of the staff's application of cems to determine good or poor results and train on performance and yard results should be a cause of continued concern!

Specialists appear to take great pride in assessing each lawn in order to apply the necessary fertilizers. They also ensure that the entire lawn area receives the application (without cutting corners) and when speaking with them about "concerns", they listen and do their best to address/resolve any problems or concerns we may have. Generally, it appears that they treat each lawn as if it were their own.

The service gentlemen came to home and applied service that was not first advised to the home owner. I am now going to have to pay a bill that is over a hundred dollars, when I thought the charge for that day would only be $69.00. So make sure you know what you're getting before services is rendered.

On 5/14/2014, we had service on our lawn. The tech advised us prior to leaving that we had some patches of red thread along our driveway and to keep an eye on it. After a couple of weeks, we noticed that it appeared to be spreading. We contacted Tru-green for a follow up service. It was scheduled for 6/13/2014. The tech arrived on this day only to tell us that the "Tree/Shrub" truck needed to come out to treat the red thread. I haven't been advised of a reschedule as of today.
I made a call to customer service and Anthony advised me a service manager would call me. My wife called Tru-Green on 6/13/2014 and was advised the situation was elevated and a manager would be contacting us within 48 hours. Today, 06/18/204, We still haven't heard from anyone at Tru-Green. We prepaid for the entire year last August. I am thinking this was a big mistake. I also want to know why a technician would recognize a troubled area in my lawn and ask us to "keep an eye on it"? Why did we have to call for a reschedule? Why didn't the tech reschedule for us since he noticed the problem. I am paying Tru-Green to "manage" my lawn aren't I?
There is so much truth in "you get what you pay for". I opted to go with Tru-Green as opposed to a local company because TruGreen was cheaper. I can assure TruGreen that if I have permanent damage to my lawn as a result of their negligence, I will pursue any and all means available to me to have the situation rectified. Branch number 5104.

06/16 lawn treatment technician came out, rang doorbell and explored the lawn with me, looked at problem areas with me, and treated the lawn. The supervisor assigned to my complaint came out to discuss the complaint. He asked me about the action if any that had been taken. I told him about the lawn service, and that shrub technician was scheduled for 06/17. 06/17 Shrub technician came out, rang the doorbell and talked with me about my shrub problem. I showed him my problem areas and he assured me he would take care of the problem.

Appearance of lawn has improved as weather (rain, temperature) have improved. Some bare/thin spots have filled in. Weed control is excellent. Color is also very good. Have not had contact with lawn specialist (since service is usually performed when I am not home) to rate their performance. Would appreciate comments/suggestions related to improving condition of lawn, especially related to thin spots.

My lawn was a real mess before using TruGreen. There is still some ways to go to get it where I want, but overall the lawn looks so much better than when we moved in. The service reps that come out to do the applications are always friendly and answer any questions I have.

The lawn's appearance has improved with the exception of the thistles that are still growing in the backyard. I have never spoken to the specialist and therefore cannot comment on any of the personal items. My communications has only been by telephone and email. I do believe that the cost is too high for the size of the yard.

I had TruGreen re-seed my lawn after I had top soil and manure laid down. They came out the first time and after a month it was spotty at best. The supervisor came out and re-seeded using a machine. Four weeks later, it was fuller and he re-seeded by hand and now I have a full lawn. They will be coming out to do the weeding but in between, they have fertilized and checked in the progress of my lawn. They were very personable and knowledgeable.

The TruGreen specialists that have visited our yard have been polite and friendly. They get the job done quietly and quickly. Our yard is overall greener and has fewer weeds than it did before we began treatment. We do continue to have a few weeds, mostly stubborn clover, and have had three bushes turn browner, with one apparently dying after having had our bushes treated one time by TruGreen. Not sure what happened, and just hope the other two bushes turn around and become healthier.

Coming to supposedly treating my yard - the neighbor would see, put up the sign in the yard without ever treating yard. My yard also became full of weeds. We never saw the same person treating my yard.

When I signed up for their services, I was told that I would get fertilizer, weed control and insect-bug control. I still have weeds even after getting an extra treatment which normal treatment didn't work. I still have bugs also. Then they hound you to death with phone calls from their billing dept and will not provide backup data when requested. VERY POOR customer service and does not provide results promised. I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN AND RECOMMEND THAT NO ONE EVER USE THEM.

For the year 2013 we elected to have TruGreen service our lawn. Both the front and back lawn was serviced even though the backyard did have grass. I later look at the results and could clearly see that it was a waste of money. I address that and the lawn tech said that it was already part of the service and that he could not adjust it. During the last treatment for the year I asked about the fungus treatment and he said that it would be $180.00 for the front and back lawn. I also asked if only the front could be done and again the answer was both has to be done based on the contract. Well this was the last treatment for the year the grass was ok in the front yard. Well once Feb 2014 the service was terminated.
When spring time came and all the neighbors grass was clearly green, our grass was dead in very large areas. My wife called to see if a tech could come out to see what was going on and was told no, due to the fact that we were not under contract anymore. I feel that customer service just went out the door and that the True (green) was just going to the company who really doesn't care about the follow on service unless they are getting paid.

THEY ARE CROOKS! Buyer beware with this company. When I signed up earlier this season I asked FOUR TIMES, speaking specifically with a manager, that the price quoted included everything and anything needed for a healthy lawn. I SPECIFICALLY and PRECISELY asked if that price included grub control and fungicide treatment. Their representatives and managers answered, "Yes" all four times.
Of course, once they had me as a customer, I find out that 1. ) They don't do the fungicide treatment at all, let alone included, 2. ) They charge EXTRA for the grub control, 3. ) Getting the "personalized assessment" of my yard is a joke. I've been with other services a long time and I know that grub and fungicide services usually cost extra. However, I justified going with TruGreen, even though it was 20% MORE than my prior service, because they SOLD ME A TOTAL LIE that everything was included.
I have cancelled my service immediately and will be disputing the charges with my credit card company. In addition, that "personalized assessment of my lawn" never happened until I made about 10 calls to actually speak to a human to come out to look at my lawn. Their customer service is horrible. You never get anyone local, and trying to actually SPEAK with the person servicing your lawn in impossible. Your company is a joke. I am taking my business elsewhere.

I seem to have chronic infestation of oxalis, the weed treatments seem to have no effect. I also have white powdery mildew on my bushes and shrubs, this also appears to be chronic with no improvement after treatment.

TruGreen left a notice on my door for an introductory offer of $29.00 for a lawn treatment. I called them and the person that arrived was knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Within two weeks my desperate puny grass began to sprout. Within one month I had grass in areas that I had not been able to grow grass in for over ten years. Thank you TrueGreen. You have made my backyard lovable again.

Trugreen has not been able to resolve our lawn issues. Their answer is you need to water more, you have dead areas you need to seed more add top soil and it goes on. No One takes any responsibility for what they have done. We are so disgusted!

Austin ** called and sold me on TruGreen lawn services on June 5, 2014. Thom ** called back on Friday confirming that he had gotten the order. In our discussion, at approximately 6pm on June 6, I spoke to him about my flowers in the front yard and my concern about chemicals killing them (I told him I suspected that the application we had done last year killed my flowers). He agreed that some of the stuff they use could kill flowers. I also told him I had rabbits in the backyard and wanted to know when they were coming out to make sure the rabbits were put in the house so they wouldn't be exposed to the chemicals. I told him I wanted them to call me before coming out!!! I wanted to be present! No one called!!!
When they arrived, they didn't even care to knock on the door (My children were home). They just started to work. They spread fertilizer on my lawn and sprayed DL Manor Weed Control. The wind was blowing pretty good that day and my flowers were exposed to this chemical. Before I left for work, I had a beautiful spread of flowers. When I got home, several hours later, after they had serviced my yard, my blooms were closing up. More flowers are dying today. I've called and spoke to **. He was rude, yelled at me, tried to intimidate me, tried to insinuate that I am an idiot.
My 2 rabbits have been exposed to chemicals they shouldn't have. My dogs were exposed to the same chemicals and put in danger because my kids didn't know there were people working in our yard. ** has come up with every explanation for my flowers. 1. It was the rain we had both Sunday and Monday morning that was suddenly killing my flowers. 2. We don't water the flowers enough, that's why they are suddenly dying. 3. It is too hot for them to survive. It got up to 96 today. That is why they are suddenly dying. 4. Petunias need to be in hanging baskets, that is why they are suddenly dying. 5. My flower bed is in the wrong place, I'm an idiot for having a flower bed next to the house. That is why they are suddenly dying. 6. He finally came out and took a sample and took it to a friend at Calloway's Nursery and called back to tell me it has nothing to do with the DL Manor Weed Control. 7. He said that we were watering the flowers wrong. That is why they are suddenly dying. 8. I hope my dogs and rabbits are okay. He swears that the herbicide won't hurt animals. I guess time will tell.
TruGreen screwed up by not calling in advance. Then, blamed me for everything that has gone wrong with my beautiful flowers. They say that my pets are not in danger from being exposed to the chemicals (I guess time will tell). **, the manager was rude, yelled at me, tried to intimidate me and tried to insinuate I'm an idiot. He won't try to correct the problem, or even apologize to me. In fact, he even yelled at me that I needed to apologize to him.

First off, I'm not a complainer nor do I expect perfection in our lawn. However, again we have many large dead spots in our lawn, where there is no grass and none about to grow. Along with regular service from TruGreen, I asked about them aerating and seeding our whole lawn, and paid additional for that service. I have been charged for all applications for the entire year, including the seeding (which was suppose to be done) but my wife or I were unable to see any seeds on our lawn. I don't believe it was done, although we were charged for it. I have called numerous times asking to speak to a manager, but they are shielded from customers by those who answer the phone (by the way, those who answer the phone are very pleasant, with good phone skills and manners... They seem to try their best).
The frustration for me is this... I have called numerous times asking to speak with a manager. Finally, a manager (Terry from Vadnais Heights TruGreen) called me last week. She was going to stop by, check out my lawn, and then call me back with an action plan. I have yet to hear back from her, or anyone else. Are there legitimate managers at TruGreen that will call back and follow through? If so, I would like one to call me. At this point I have a high sense of frustration with this company. Thank you.

TRUGREEN has maintained my yard (started 2 years ago) at the same or better level than I have done for 20+ years. The cost of service is not much more than what I used to spend on barriers & fertilizers myself. Now I have more time for other things since I only trim and cut my yard. TRUGREEN does the rest. All around, I highly recommend TruGreen. I researched a number of independent and franchise services prior to choosing TG. Their prices are consistent with the competition. I BARELY had a lawn, thanks to Superstorm Sandy. It's now eight weeks and I have a lush, green, weed-free lawn. Reading the complaints here, I think the biggest issue is expectation management - homeowners are active participants in the lawn care. This isn't a landscaping service. They MUST water and mow in between TG treatments. Reading about 'burned lawns', etc., to me says people didn't water. They expected TG to do everything, which they don't.

I have been using TruGreen for one year and today my lawn looks as bad as it did on day 1 of their service. It is impossible to get a Service Manager to return calls. The technicians change constantly. There is no sense of responsibility or caring. They seem to keep doing the same thing over and over despite getting the same terrible results. Threatening to cancel the service seems to have no impact on them. They have 24 hours to respond appropriately or I will cancel this service.

My last service was aeration. I appreciate the efficiency of the service - it appeared that all the little plugs were very uniform in space apart and lawn coverage. I love the automation of my service. I don't need to worry about which treatments my yard needs since TruGreen does all the work. The service has been okay, but when we originally declined a contract with TruGreen (because they didn't bundle lawn mowing with the other services) the sales agent promised a lawn cutting contract with a third party within our budget. On this promise, we signed with TruGreen. It is now June and we are without a lawn cutting service. On contact, TruGreen told me I could cancel all service for the year. They have not offered to help make this right. Watch out for sales staff!

My 4 year old centipede lawn looked amazing. I had just aerated and put down lime. This company offered a customized lawn plan to take my lawn to the next level. $29.00, one service and 3-4 days later half my lawn is burned down to the dirt! It took 8 calls to corporate to get one call from the local manager. Finally an individual showed up but I wasn't here and they didn't leave so much as a "sorry". 3 weeks into this ordeal and a manager finally showed up. He tried to tell me thatch was the issue, then he tried to convince me to drop a different kind of seed. I refused and told him they should re-sod. Let's see what they do now.

My yard looks great this year. After the pre-emergent was applied, I had no dandelions this year. The clovers and other weeds didn't show up either. My time is valuable and this service lets me enjoy more of it with my family. I usually receive a phone call and email letting me know when the next application will be. We have used them for several years and overall have been somewhat satisfied except in one major area, our backyard which is our pet area. We have called in 4-6 occasions where they have applied chemicals in that area. We have said no, but they continue. Good or bad company? Bad for pets?!

Some people seem to be extremely happy with TruGreen and apparently have had experiences completely opposite of mine, so maybe it's specifically with the Salt Lake City office. But the people are that office are very unprofessional and I try to tell people to steer clear! They cancelled at the end of the day (after I took work off so I could be home to visit with them because my lawn really needed professional help and I wanted to discuss it with them). I got a call at the end of the day that they will need to reschedule and no real explanation why. I called the local office and they said they would look into it. The service manager called me and we had a conversation about it.
He apologized but still never gave me a reason. He said he would personally come out to my house and look at it. He did, as promised. But when we he came out he proceeded to tell my wife (who was home this time) what horrible shape our lawn was in (as if we didn't know), embarrassing my wife. He then called me to explain the situation and was extremely condescending and pretty much told me the same thing, including that "[they] can treat it but aren't miracle workers" and that we would basically need a lot more work done than they can provide. I knew it was in poor shape! That's why I called "professionals." In the end, I called a different lawn service, and they came out promptly, were a much better deal and and my lawn looks so much better and we're much nicer!

The man came to the house to tell us that he was here to apply the spray. He said his name was Jeff. He said he was here before so he knew where to apply the application. He was very nice. It didn't take very long. He covered everything he was suppose to. There are some weeds that need to be addressed. Next time, he needs to take care of it.

I have been with TruGreen for over a year. I began calling about how badly the grass in my front yard was doing. I never received a return call, and missed the service tech each time he came by. Two weeks ago, I began calling to get someone to MEET me here to discuss the turf problems as my yard continued to deteriorate. I was told I'd receive a call by a manager. I phoned two more times that week only to be told they had my info and would call. I got a service ticket that showed the tech was here for 8 minutes. He did nothing to the yard (as noted) and left no recommendations. I called 3 more times and have yet to receive a return call or ANY response. I will not recommend TruGreen EVER, and will make sure to inform everyone I know how bad their service and customer care has been.

I like our regular specialist who takes care of our lawn...very respectful and helpful. However, I would prefer that TruGreen not send out a replacement person to treat our lawn when the regular specialist is not available. I noticed that the replacement person does not treat all of the areas that they are supposed to and does not pay as much attention to our lawn like the regular specialist does.

I have been completely satisfied with everyone at TruGreen for many years. I was with them when they were Barefoot Grass. So, that has been 25 to 30 years. I have never had any kind of problem and my grass looks great. I get many comments about how wonderful my lawn looks. I tell everyone I have TruGreen to thank. I am sure if I tried to put lawn care products down myself, it would be uneven or burned or just plain a waste of my time and money. I am completely satisfied with everything and everyone at TruGreen.

The only reason I stayed with TruGreen was because they gave me a person who cared, replaced Dave with Keith. On 6/3/2014 around 12:15 pm, my pets were barking. I went out to the kennel to investigate and found TruGreen technician spraying my neighbors lawn. The wind gusts in this area were 32 mph. My pets, their kennel and some of my plants were exposed to the chemical do to the windy conditions and over spray. I now have to hose my kennel down to ensure this chemical is cleaned up. Why are they spraying toxic chemicals in those windy conditions. Who will replace my plants and what about the health risk to my pets!

Over the course of 12 months, Truegreen managed to kill my beautiful lush Scott's lawn that I had established over 13 years. A technician who used the wrong product killed the lawn and they admitted it and proceeded to areate and seed three times to get it right. Today, a tech arrived which confused me because someone was here last Tuesday and when I questioned why he was here he said to "fertilize".
When I told him they "just" did that last week, he checked his order and he was supposed to be spraying for FUNGUS! My yard has been over fertilized already by Truegreen and I have big brown spots! This company is a joke! I have called 3 times today trying to reach a supervisor. This company should be called TRUEBROWN!

After discussions with TruGreen (they called me), I agreed to upgrade and get the Aeration Service and had it scheduled. I needed to be home, since some utilities and water lines are close to the service. Waited all day. No Show. No Calls. Total silence. I called the multiple times, each time got an associate who would leave a "message". Again total silence. No calls. Called again the next day, the exact same thing! We will leave a message. They have NO idea what each are doing and block all attempts to reach your local service rep. I cancelled the service. The associate on the phone gave me the world famous "whatever" attitude, very rude. Having major weed issues also (they are scheduled to come tomorrow). AGAIN, I asked them to have the rep contact me.

I was out mowing my lawn when the service tech showed up to do my application. He politely told me he would rework his schedule in order to accommodate me and try to do some other houses nearby first. He did come back later that day and did the yard. He was very professional and spoke with me afterward about the condition of the lawn and what he had done. I was very impressed and appreciative.

Trugreen of Wixom, MI is not concern with customer service. Trugreen had contacted me of offering me a lawn aeration that was conducted on May 20, 2014 but to my surprise. In an earlier phone conversation (sales call) I had with them for this particular service on April 7, 2014, I informed them that as a condition from them to conduct this service, they had to contact me a day before so I could mark each of my sprinkler heads for my in-ground irrigation system to avoid damage to the sprinkler from the aeration. I have been hesitant in the past to aerate my lawn for this reason and had not had done this process since having the sprinkler system installed. I had also discussed with Trugreen's customer service and should have any damages to my sprinkle system due to their aeration that they would be liable for damages. They did say that they would be liable should there be a problem of damaged sprinklers.
In the late afternoon of May 20, 2014, I came home from work to find that Trugreen did come to my home at 10:05AM - 10:20AM, noted on the service summary they left for me stating they conducted the aerated my lawn to my surprise since they did not contact me to the specific day they were planning to come to my house for this service and consequently, not allowing me to prepare to mark my sprinklers as instructing them I would when notified accordingly. I did have my system working properly before their visit but had shut the system off knowing the Trugreen was going to come at some time in the near future but they failed to notify me to the exact day as I had requested. I had called Trugreen customer service then informing them that I was dissatisfied for the fact I was not notified and that if I find a problem with my sprinkler system, they would be hearing from me.
A few day later I was working in my yard and decided to active the sprinkler system and found that my system was not working as it should with faulty sprinkler heads. Since it was Memorial weekend, I was not able to contact Trugreen's customer service until the morning of May 27, 2014 and they informed me that someone would be contacting me and arrange to come to my home to assess the damage they had caused by the aeration process. I had provided Trugreen the details of the damages I had found with my sprinkler as well as my customer account number and information and a phone number for them to contact me back.
I followed up the next day, May 28, 2014, with their customer service and still no communication back from them on a visit to my home. I called Trugreen customer service again the afternoon for May 29, 2014 (over 48 hours) since my initial call with the problem and they told me that it takes 48 hours from them to respond. I informed them that it has been well over 48 hours since I had made the first call to them and got nothing but an apology. Then, I informed them that I expect a call from their representative with a scheduled time, when they will come to my home and assess the sprinkler system damage before the close of business that day, May 29, 2014. Also, I informed them that If I did not receive that call from a Trugreen representative, late afternoon or evening that day, I would not be paying the aeration bill and I will terminate my account indefinitely with them on the morning of May 30, 2014.
I received no call from Trugreen the late afternoon or evening on May 29 and I did terminate my account as noted the following morning. I feel that Trugreen has a total disregard for their customers and will not assist you if there is a problem. To me, they are only interested in selling you something and nothing else!

We had a beautiful zoysia lawn that had a small weed problem, so I hired Trugreen. One year later the grass is dead and the weeds are thriving. I have called repeatedly and requested to speak to a manager. I have not yet received a call from a manager. I am scheduled to have a visit from someone (position unknown) on Tuesday. Scheduler said,"I will let him know that it is important that he show up." I guess not showing up is an option. I have since learned that Trugreen has killed more than one lawn on the street. I deeply regret ever using Trugreen.

TruGreen is the best money spent for my lawn always looks green, no weeds and Bermuda is kept under control. I pay by the year and forget about having to treat my yard during each season. I live in a small town and live on a very well traveled street. Several of my friends in past year have complimented how well my yard always looks and how green my lawn is. I would recommend this service to anyone. TruGreen was also prompt and professional when I called them a year ago in a panic because a weed had infested my lawns and I was so frustrated trying everything to bring it under control. After several treatments in a one month time span, they had it under control and now I have no worries and each season I am informed TruGreen will be treating my yard and I just go on with my busy life.

I paid for a full years service in advance. My centipede lawn that had been sodded about 4-5 yrs. previously is now dead with either Bermuda grass or dirt in its place. I have talked with TruGreen on the phone and in person and am told that this was happening to a lot of lawns this year due to the extreme wet and cold winter. In my case, it only happened to the part of my lawn that they were treating and the rest of my lawn is vibrant and green. The only reply I have gotten is "It's not our fault." I'm very disappointed in their reaction. I have even requested that they send someone to my home to look at my yard, but no one has come.

I can definitely see the difference in my lawn. The specialist is very friendly and explains the process to me. He also showed me where I had some poison ivy that I was not aware of. I especially like that I get a phone call to let me know when the specialist is coming. Rescheduling is very easy when I need to do so. It took me a year (from when we bought the house) to get the lawn to a point where it was green and growing, but I had a ring fungus that was persistent, yet under control. I signed up for the Premium plan 2 weeks ago and after one application of fertilizer and weed control, the yard is ruined. The entire front yard turned yellow and started dying 2 days after the application. The so-called "Service Manager" was extremely rude when he came out to look at it and of course claimed it was NOT THEIR FAULT. He also told me that all the literature and information of the package I bought is FALSE, they don't do all that. He also said he couldn't do anything about the fungus! Fortunately, the kid didn't do the backyard like he was required to and it is still green and pretty. BEWARE the false advertising and TOTAL IRRESPONSIBILITY of this company.

After many attempts to rectify the situation, including speaking with local and company personnel, no one was responsible or accountable. Local personnel were unfamiliar with the shrub infestation and the control necessary. One manager said he had never heard of the insect being discussed and hung up on me. Co. personnel wanted to resolve issue while local personnel just wanted to dismiss the issues altogether. Fire Ants treated and re-treated without results and without notification that the ant infestation remained. "Lubbers" (pronounced different ways), were allowed to establish their larvae in the shrubs being treated and sprayed by Tru Green, and all of which, grew to adulthood while being sprayed by the company. Growth currently, developing to adulthood - to the point that hard shells makes any resolution impossible. People offered manager assistance, re-spraying - but never called back to solidify - contacts promised but not adhered to - local personnel cared little and took no responsibility.
The weeds have multiplied, the fire ants more angered and viable after being treated twice; I know as I took one step in the grass and was stung to my calf - with a million bites. The Lubbers/grasshoppers are now as big as half a hand - are everywhere. There are more weeds in the yard than when Tru Green took over, approximately three and a half months ago. Perhaps it is time to go back to "Mom and Pop" services as Corporation hierarchy cannot even be reached - employees do not know who their CEO happens to be, or where their corporate HQ is located - or so they said. Perhaps a small company who takes pride in what they do is the answer since this company is only interested in money and obtaining more customers - never mind the service. And, of course, if a customer is dissatisfied - no matter - give them their money back and hope they go away - after all, there are more suckers out there who will not hold such a company responsible.. Sad state of affairs I am afraid.

This is our 2nd year with TruGreen and we continue to be satisfied with the results. Last year our yards, both front and back were in dire need of help. TruGreen has brought them both back to life. We are no longer embarrassed by our yards. We highly recommend the service that TruGreen provides. They are cost effective, attentive and considerate of the fact that we have a dog. They let us know the day before they are coming out to service our lawn so that we do not let the dog out for at least 2 hours after the application has been done. We are completely satisfied and that is why we renewed our contract for this year as well.

TRU-GREEN Doing a TRU-LY Good Job. Even though I have just recently started using TRUGREEN services I am pleased to date. My lawn is looking greener, fuller, and NO troublesome dandelions. I like the idea that the technician leaves a sign on the lawn to remind you that he was there and instructions about safety are included on the small placard. Can't wait to see what the lawn looks like by the end of the year with steady treatment as opposed to my haphazard treatments that I would typically forget to do. Our lawn has been treated 2x this season so far. We are completely satisfied with the results. Jose has been our service rep from day one, he takes his time & doesn't miss any areas of our 1 acre of land. Our neighbors have since signed for service just because they were jealous of how nice our lawn always looks. We also appreciate the notes & advice that Jose gives us in the door hanger. After our first treatment this year in mid-May you can clearly see a zigzag pattern from someone walking a spreader. In that area all the grass is burned, dead. It's been ten days, rain and water from our sprinkler and still dead. TruGreen is coming out Tuesday. The tech didn't even bother to treat the backyard which actually is good since he didn't have the opportunity to kill that grass as well. Of course they charged me for all of this. I have used TruGreen in past years with no issues. This year, however, is a big issue. I will say this, if they offer a "patch up job" I will only be angrier.

I think the service is getting better and better with each new year. We are long term customers (began with Chemlawn before it was TruGreen, Chemlawn and now TruGreen). In the past 2 yrs., we have seen a noticeable customer service improvement. Calling customer service with questions or to tweak our scheduled treatments is done without pressure for more and more treatments. Our technician, Trevor, always comes to the door before he begins his work and will take as much time as needed to answer my questions and give me important information and education about my trees, shrubs, lawn and insects. I have been a TruGreen customer for many years and my lawn has always looked very good. I feel that the representative who comes out to service my lawn is very knowledgeable and interested in my lawn needs. The rep is very friendly and professional. The quality of the job is great. I feel that I do get my money's worth in dealing with TruGreen.

We have tried several different lawn care companies over the past 20 years and were never really satisfied with the service we received or the look of our lawn. Since switching to TruGreen, we have been nothing but pleased. Our lawn is the best in the neighborhood. I like being notified in advance of when the next service will be. I also like the detailed report left by the lawn technician. We will definitely continue using TruGreen.

We have been a TruGreen customer for quite some time. We have received many compliments about our lawn. This is due to the efforts provided by our specialist, Mr. Jeff Jackson, and the attention to our lawn that he provides. Even though we receive the compliments, it is Jeff who is the person that should be complimented. So, compliments Jeff, to a good job. It shows. I signed for the Tru complete on 4/18/2014 and have had 2 applications. Whatever was used has killed my grass. I contacted Kristen, our sales person who signed us up yesterday and she told me her supervisor, Peter would be at our home today, Friday, between 4 and 5pm. It is now 6pm and he didn't show up. This is Memorial weekend and I am getting a message machine when trying to contact Kristen. Our neighbors have even commented about our dead grass because I always took pride in my lawn and curb appeal. I am very angry at the customer service we have received.

Their representative was a nice guy. The service however was horrible. My loan is full of new creatures that they were not there before. The grass is dying and new plants are invading the backyard. AND they show up without letting us know (with a phone call or an email in advance as they suppose to).

Prior to getting TRUGREEN Lawn services, my lawn was horrible. So, I called TRUGREEN and requested that a representative (rep) come out to my house and survey my lawn. The rep came out to my home, and as we walked around he was surveying my yard. After our walk, the rep provided me some professional advice concerning my lawn. The rep then recommend the type of lawn service I would be needing to get my grass looking healthier and greener. I took the rep advice and started TRUGREEN Lawn Services. It's been two years now... As a result, I can honestly say, I now have the best looking lawn on my block. Thanks TRUGREEN!

Last year I prepaid for one year of service for my lawn. It had a disease which appeared to have been cured so I put in new sod this spring. All was going well when I got an AUTOMATED message saying that my lawn would be aerated. I called the NATIONAL number because you are not given a local number... Well, actually there is a local number on your service invoices, but it re-routes you to the national number. I told them that I had new sod installed two weeks prior and asked NOT to have that part aerated and a note was supposedly put into my account. The next day it HAD BEEN AERATED too!! It was quite clear what was new sod and what was the older grass. Last week I noticed some spots in my lawn and some areas that looked like the disease from last year. I called several times to get a LOCAL SUPERVISOR to come and TALK to me... NOT to treat the lawn.
Yesterday I got an AUTOMATED call telling me that my lawn was to be serviced today. When I called the woman told me that it was a treatment. After explaining my call from earlier in the week she backtracked and said a supervisor was coming. I said that I DO NOT want a treatment until I speak to a human at my home. She assured me that he would knock on the door. I was awoken by my dogs at 7:35 am. I quickly got dressed but only in time to see someone drive away... NO KNOCK on the door! According to the invoice it was the regular technician and NOT A SUPERVISOR! And he treated the lawn!!!! A person at the national number tried twice to reach the local office but could only get voicemail and leave a computer message. I canceled my service. GO with a LOCAL company!!!!

Although we have never encountered our specialist in person, as we are always at work when he comes to our home for service, his work is evident everywhere. It's like our lawn has been magically and mysteriously transformed into a lush green masterpiece, free of weeds and crabgrass! Who was that masked man? I am proud to boast that we now have the most beautiful lawn on our street! The expert advice provided on our statement by the specialist is always helpful as well, since we were in the habit of cutting our lawn too short which resulted in burnt patches. We're so thankful and happy with our service. Many thanks for your expertise!

I was looking forward to being home when the TruGreen technician came by on one recent Friday. I wanted to ask him about the back lawn that looks a bit different than the front lawn. As he (Gamaliel **, Branch # 5743) was spot treating my lawn for weeds I got his attention and he took time out to answer my questions about my back lawn. He was able to explain that the back lawn had broad leafed grass rather than what I thought to be weeds. He also explained the best way to lessen the impact of that type of grass was to encourage growth of the blue grass and consider over seeding to make the blue grass denser and provide less room for the invasive broad leafed grass. I appreciated the time he provided for all of my questions and my lawn is thick and gets many compliments (cut it very high as recommended).

I cancelled my contract with these guys today. Trugreen applied a free treatment after I called customer service telling them that my backyard had a ton of weeds after the first treatment. Not only did the treatment not kill the weeds, even more grew. Needless to say, I will not be doing business with them again and will advise my neighbors to stay away also.

I've met the technician, and watched his performance from afar, his application and attention to detail is excellent. I am disappointed at the vast amount of weeds overtaking my lawn, seem like money going down the drain. I am having severe thoughts of extending services beyond this current contract - only time and correction with be the final determinator.

At the beginning I had a contract for 25$ and after I signed it I got the first and second bill for $25, but then they raised it to $50 without notification. Besides, my lawn did not get any better, I cancelled the service. Then I got a phone call for going back to service and the agent said 29.99$ first month then $45 each time of service. When I refuse to pay that he said, "the best I can do is $40" and we agreed for that, and I asked for an email to confirm that price. I never get any email but later on I got a phone call from a different agent saying that I misunderstood the agent and they lower it to $45, which is not true because it was clear that I will pay $40, and I refuse to start service back. Do not trust them, never.
