I appreciate TruGreen's follow-ups and offers for additional services. The reports when a rep comes out to apply the treatment are always thorough and very detailed in instructions. I appreciate what information is given in simple terms that are easy to understand to the layperson.

I have Zachary ** as my specialist. I am thrilled to have someone who is personable, on time and when I am scheduled - he gets here. Unlike last year. I spoke with him early in the year about getting the edges of the yard as well as the difficult 18" between the fence and driveway. The grass has been green all the way up to the bushes this year. I feel confident this year that I don't have to be here and he will get all of it without me looking over his shoulder. What I like the best is the way Zachary gets around the picnic tables and dog training equipment. I used to do the job, I know it can be done and Zachary has no problem getting it all. It is so nice to know I have someone who can help me.
That part of lawn care isn't my favorite job, so I appreciate Zachary's help. The cost is reasonable and have remained so over the 14 years I have had TruGreen. I had this stuff growing in the yard and asked Zachary what it was. He told me it was Tall Red Fescue. I had gotten rid of a bag of Pennington I had sitting around, I went and checked the bag. Yup, that is what it is. Nice to have someone around who can answer my questions, he is very knowledgeable. I hope I can keep Zachary until he is promoted up. I know he will be because he is good, and I am told the good ones get promoted up and out.

I had became a client of TrueGreen in 2013 (some time in end of May or July). I cancelled the account and told them not to do anymore work for the next year as I was not satisfied with the work. I paid the full amount for the year at the very beginning. But instead, they applied something in July 2014 and sent me a bill for the application. They kept on harassing me over the phone for payment of the bill. I called TrueGreen and was told that the cancellation was done after the application. It was a mistake on my part that I did not keep a recording of the conversation with the TrueGreen representative for the date when it was cancelled. But I clearly remember it was sometime in May 2014. Now TrueGreen have sent a letter from the collection agency to pay the bill. I think it is very unfair on behalf of TrueGreen who take advantage of their clients.

I moved to my recent purchased home in Houston, TX. I had beautiful thick, healthy and green lawn and wanted to keep it that way. In March a door-to-door salesperson talked me into using TRUGREEN to maintain my beautiful lawn and to keep it free of weeds. After the 2nd treatment my grass turned brown and started to die. The Backyard looks terrible! I called and asked to have someone come out and view the lawn - what I got is more spraying and killing what is left. Every time I call, they said "someone will get in touch with you." Instead I receive next day regular service call. I called and asked that someone to come and take a look at the lawn first. Finally they did come out in May and blamed it on the type of grass I had (St. Augustine)???? That their weed treatment recognized it as weed and Mike suggested replacing it with Bermuda seed.
I spent $62.00 out of my pocket for seed. All it grew was weed. After numerous calls, Scott came out and admitted they did damage my grass and told me someone will get hold of me to replace it with Sod. Waited the whole month of June, nothing happening. Called again and again. Finally some landscape company came, took a look and said will submit quotation to TruGreen and I should have grass in 2 weeks. Still absolutely no activities. I called landscaping company. They said a quotation was submitted to TruGreen for approval the next day. Called TruGreen 4-5 times. Scott was out of town and I was referred to his boss ** which I left him few messages but no one contacted me. I finally got hold of Scott. He kept apologizing and surprised why it’s taking so long and he will have to get another quotation. Weeks later the promise still promise. Now it’s middle of September all I got is a backyard full of WEED because TruGreen is without DEED.

My lawn looks amazing now compared to 1 1/2 years ago when we moved into this home. My trees look amazing this year compared to last summer when they were being killed by bag worms and the bushes had spider mites causing many leaves to curl. The brilliant health of my lawn and trees is breathtaking! The specialists that serve my lawn and trees are so polite and personable. They communicate information about my lawn and trees to me in an easy to understand manner. I really appreciate the time they take with me and also the great work they do. I also like the automated phone calls I receive regarding a visit and how easily I can change the timing of the visits if necessary.

I've been a customer of TruGreen for several years now and have been extremely satisfied with their services. Weeds are never an issue and the grub control has significantly reduced the population of Japanese beetles in my yard to almost zero. The grass is full, lush and green. I'd highly recommend TruGreen to anyone who wants a great lawn!

We have been customers of TruGreen for 6 years. We also referred a relative who has been getting service for 2 years. Up until this past year everything had been pretty good. After 2 years of having quite a few weeds still in the yard, we called and an appointment was set up with a supervisor on a Monday. No one showed up or called. We called that night, received an apology and they would give him a message. We asked for the name of the supervisor and was told, they didn't know. We called the next day after never receiving a call from the supervisor. The office said they weren't sure what happened so they rescheduled for Wednesday. Again, no one showed up or called. We called again on Friday and requested the supervisor call and were told we would get a call either that night or Saturday. We still have not received any calls. They certainly don't have a problem calling when they want to sell you more services. Being a customer service manager myself, this is completely unacceptable and very frustrating.

My lawn had been treated by TruGreen Lawn Service for several months. My fruit trees began to die after the second treatment. I knew that the spraying was causing the problems, so I called to cancel my service. I was connected to Candice in Accounts Receivable. When I briefly explained my issues and told her I had decided to cancel my service, she became irate! Her voice became elevated, she kept cutting me off when I spoke, and actually chastised me for not allowing her management to speak with me before cancelling. I tried to explain to her that one of her representatives came to check out the problem, and indicated that the problem was not likely due to their service (big surprise).
My grass has never looked better, but my trees are not doing well since I started. I wasn't asking for compensation, I just wanted to eliminate the risk of further damage to the fruit trees - I would recommend their service to others. My problem is the encounter with Candice in Accounts Receivable. She lacks customer service skills - this is probably not the first time she has mistreated a customer. TruGreen should carefully consider the manner in which their employees represent the company. After this "brow-beating", I plan to spend my money with another lawn care service - one that appreciates my patronage.

We contacted TruGreen early September to inquire about treatment for grubs following a bad year of Japanese Beetle infestation. The phone rep took the order and charged us, but no one called or arrived to provide the service. Three more phone calls over the next week resulted in ongoing promises that someone would be contacting us within the next couple days. It never happened! Only after our final, then angry, phone call we were informed that it was too late to treat. According to the information we had received from the Minnesota Extension Office, we were well within the treating time period. Had we known we would be delayed in obtaining these services, or refused services altogether by TruGreen, we would have had the option of seeking another company's service. Anyone who knows about the severity of Japanese Beetle destruction would understand our upset with TruGreen. As it stands now, TruGreen has charged us for a service we have not received, and customer support reps have proven to be ineffective in doing their job in getting this matter resolved.

My property has shaded area and slope. Somehow overseeding doesn't work. Seeds do not germinate, probably washed away by rain. I need someone to evaluate and suggest course of action. Maybe it is not the right area to grow grass.

They aerated but put very little seed. They were scheduled to come Friday but came on Monday September 8th said they would come back on Friday. I wasted a whole day off waiting on them. Called TruGreen. They got no answer for Bradan ** the service tech and office he works from. Still waiting for call back.

TruGreen has always been a very good company to deal with. We are always notified of the day the service will be done via telephone message and email. If I have had any questions, I have always received an answer promptly. The lawn specialists have always been courteous and the job is done efficiently and thoroughly. What products being used on the lawn and bushes are sent to the home every spring if one would like to look them up. The time frame in which the yard can be utilized by people and pets has been explained. It would be very difficult to pick out one experience to rate since all the services have been done according to what has been contracted.

I never know the schedule ahead of time. I do not have any personal consults. I am not complaining, stating facts. Everyone that looks at my yard comments on how lush and green it looks. I always tell them that it is so much better since I have Trugreen. I do not have to do anything or think about it and my grass looks great. The expense was my initial concern but now it is just part of my expenses. I really like the results. Thank you.

A TruGreen truck was driving recklessly down a very busy street, driving down the median at a high rate of speed. Tailgating the car in front of him for about a mile until I turned off. There was no phone number to call to report the driver so hopefully the company will see this post and fix it. PA license plate **.

I have been using this service for three months on newly installed sod (Stillwater Cove). There has been no improvement in the condition of my lawn from crabgrass growth. I have tried to talk to a human being in Huntsville (Madison area) and just get put on a tiring and useless out-of-area call system. The 256 number is redirected to a call center. There is no personal interest, no personal care. Do not believe the in-between care service (guarantee) made during the initial sale-pitch. I was told by customer service reps via phone conversation they‘re a no-refund service company. New Buyer’s Beware!

Aeration was done quite well. A couple of weeks after the pest control was done I found quite a few spiders while cleaning up around the house. Grass is looking good, a few weeds can be found in the lawn.

Trugreen sells you a program then sticks it to you. Called the sales person Andrew 3 times and No Call Back. Called the office and told them what I wanted done and the opposite was done. They take your money then Run. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH TRUGREEN PLEASE. THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF ALSO.

We have been customers with TruGreen Lawn Care for a number of years and signed on for tree and shrub care about a year ago even though we had no problems. Now that two large shrubs and two of our Japanese Maples are looking questionable, I've been unable to get TruGreen to come service our yard and have been treated to listening to the recordings about payment plans and their guaranteed satisfaction every day for at least twenty minutes as I held to once again request service. (Whew) A week of calling, no sign of them.

I Have been using trugreen for over twenty years or more that I can remember. I have an application at least every month. A grub application once a year. For the last two years I have had grubs. Last year I had a spot on my front grass that looked like a burnt spot. I called and complained and nothing was done. It is the end of the year and the dead spot is still there. They said they would seed it. Haven't yet. I complained that this last year or two my grass looks worse than any of my neighbors who do their own lawns. I am a 80 year old widow and rely on Trugreen to keep my lawn looking good. I had yellow spots all over my lawn and complained. They said I had insects and treated the lawn. A month later it still looks half dead. A supervisor came out and said I had no insects in my lawn. A week later animals are digging up my lawn.
They came out yesterday and said I have grubs and need a application for grubs to the tune of $138.00. I have paid for grub control in May. There should be a guarantee. Now I think If you have trugreen putting down stuff every month they should be watching your lawn and making sure it looks good. My neighbor suggested they may be applying nothing, how would I know and doing their friends and relatives lawns instead. How would I know. There are other people that would be happy to do my lawn. I called them today and they said they would be out in three to five days. They should have taken care of the grubs when they were out yesterday. I would like some results soon.

TruGreen provides consistent treatment for my yard that I am not able provide myself. This consistent, knowledgeable fertilization, weed & bug treatment, & aeration service has greatly benefited my yard. The cost of the service is also greatly offset because I no longer need to purchase yard chemicals from the Home Improvement stores which was costing me several hundred dollars per year.

This company give me a good services with my grass. I bought my house in January, with a very bad conditions garden. A lot of weeds and poor grass. In 6 month the company increase in 60% of healthy grass and 80% the fumigation and kill weeds. For me now it’s a four star company. The picture is how my garden was in 6 month.

Since I have been using TruGreen for the yard and front lawns/shrubs, things seem to be doing a lot better. We had a very bad winter this part year and therefore, my trees, shrubs and flower beds did not start blooming until very in the year. But overall my lawn looks good even without the rain that we have been desperately needing during the summer months. The weeds have died off pretty much completely so overall I am very happy.

Aeration and seeding resulted in two missed appointments for my mother's house. Numerous phone calls to customer service with many promises they would show up. An email sent to Kevin ** from customer service resulted in no return call. I have cancelled my account as well as my mother's. The worst customer service. They show up yearly trying to sell more services. Rather funny that I was told this year that I needed tree service because of fungus and bugs....I already had this service.....oops, now take care of the so called fungus and bugs you found but your treatments did nothing for.

After countless phone calls, I received a call from the general manager that serviced my area. I was credited the amount I was billed for with an appology for the misunderstanding. Maybe these complaints should be turfed out to the general managers first instead of having your customers have to call corporate. I am very pleased with the service you provide, and the employee that has been servicing my lawn for years.

I prepaid for services in April. Received discounts on a service I've had for 10 plus year. They offered this to compete with a local lawn service. Received a bill last week for $189.00 for aeration that was suppose to be included in pre-payment. I've called twice to customer service to be A. Offered a 10 percent discount. B. Told a manager would call. No calls were returned to me. Called corporate office today with yet another promise of a returned call. Still nothing! How can you bill when a customer pre-pays for a year? If someone made a mistake, and it wasn't billed for... you go ahead and just do it without contacting the customer for permission to perform a service? When a customer is upset, proper practice would be to contact said customer and try to remedy the problem. All I have received is broken promises of a returned call, and still have a bill for services that were suppose to have been paid for.

I've been a customer for several years and until now have been reasonably satisfied. Recently I had a routine service call (Aug 16) during which I had the tech check a tree which had been oozing sap from the trunk. He didn't know what it was, but said he would take a picture and check on it and get back to me. He didn't so I called the local office in Spring, Texas and spoke with the branch manager, **. He told me he would get the picture from the tech and find out what was needed and get back to me right away. He didn't. I called back several days later for an update and remind him that he was going to get back to me. He told me he had to check with the arborist to find out how the tree could be treated and when he heard from the arborist, he would get back to me. It's now been nearly a month since this began. I find it very annoying that I have to beg for assistance from a service that I'm paying for.

The TruGreen lawn specialist is very good at what he does and polite. My lawn looks much better this year with the TruGreen treatments than in the past when I was trying to apply store bought treatments. I like the fact they call a few days in advance notifying me that the specialist will be at my home treating the grass.

TruGreen has done a good job for us. I really like their automated notification to let you know when your next service visit will be. The only improvement needed has to do with the paperwork their service technician leaves behind. It needs to include the visit number on the receipt. For example, we have a plan that calls for 5 service visits, plus one for grub control. The paperwork should clearly state "visit #3" or whatever treatment visit it happens to be.

Our Tech this year is a gentleman we had in previous years. We are GLAD HE IS BACK! Last year, our back area was harmed immensely with all the weeds and is still trying to recover. Last year's tech seemed to do his thing to get done and then move on. Our Tech this year Takes time and does the Entire area and the results this year show it like in all years past. The one area is trying to make a comeback and we would like to take our guys suggestion for the "Aeration and seed" but Dollars will probably preclude that from happening. It was a good suggestion and he priced it several ways to give us options. He takes his time and is very easy to talk to. Put him on the Top of your Good Tech List if you have one.

I love this service! Our yard has improved every year with the regular fertilizing and weed control. Since we live across from an open farm field, and in front of a railroad line, it has been a struggle over the years to have a fine lawn. We have it now, and with almost no effort beyond mowing and watering, it looks like a golf course. We are always getting compliments. And now our neighbor next door is using it. I have an infestation of Kikuyu grass in my lawn. It's a common problem in our area. The guy who answered the phone didn't even know what Kikuyu was. Why have someone who does even know basic lawn care answering the phone? He claims he went to talk to his supervisor and the supervisor knew what it was, but Trugreen doesn't treat Kikuyu grass. This is odd. Trugreen is supposedly the premiere lawn care company in this area and they don't treat a common lawn weed?

I had taken on TruGreen of August 2013. TruGreen had seeded in the fall and by May of 2014. The grass liked wonderful. In June of 2014, I was making weekly phones calls asking when the next treatment would take effect. I had left SEVERAL messages for a manager to call me. Finally by mid June I spoke with a manager and he reassured me that a treatment would be done in June. Now in the state of Maryland this year we did not have hot temperatures or long dry spells to delay any treatments. Again I made several calls trying to find out what happened, of course after a week I get a message on my phone that someone would be out on July 2nd.. This is a LONG period of time between treatments (MAY 2nd & July 2) . I was mocked in my neighbor, for having the worst looking yard and PAYING for it. So TruGreen DOES NOT stand behind their customer service. This company disappoints me very much.

My lawn has never looked better in the 14 years of its existence. I like the "alert" given before a service is provided, and the personalized note left on the door after the service is completed. The materials used seem to be top quality. What I would like most as an improvement in service is an annual walk-around inspection of my yard with a TruGreen person knowledgeable about lawn problems and diseases. I still have some trouble spots that seem not to be addressed completely by the standard services in this, my first, year with TG. My backyard, in particular, seems prone to midsummer diseases and professional, knowledgeable advice would be helpful.

We have been having a lawn care service for several years but are really impressed with how Doug ** treated us and our lawn. He came to the door and introduced himself to my husband and me and then proceeded to tell us what he planned to do to our yard that day. Asked if we were having any problems. We have an issue with violets and just general weeds that I hate! He proceeded to work in the yard but stated that he was going to ask a supervisor about an aspect of the care and told us that he would return later in the day. Lo and Behold, he DID! It had to be close to his "going home" time but here he was in our yard - again! We have totally fallen under his spell. Our service was for trees and shrubs, plantings that can affect significantly how one's home appears, and are far more difficult and expensive to replace when they die than getting a new grass crop going. The TruGreen rep. was named Dean. He knocked on the door, took the time to explain what he was about to do, and asked if I had any questions. That was a first. During the application I went out back and he asked how it looked so far and if I needed to point out anything of interest. That was a first. He was careful to tilt the applicator so as not to get fertilizer on our deck or in our flowerbeds. That was a first. He then came back after finishing and asked if I was satisfied and told me what to expect with the application. That was a first. Dean was very polite, cordial, respectful of me and my property, and took GREAT care to do the best job possible. That was a first. Dean should be commended for the job he did with us.

I have lived in my home for 25 years and have always have a thick green lawn. This past summer a door-to-door salesperson talked me into using TRUGREEN to eliminate a few weeds and fertilize my grass. In June, after my 2nd treatment my grass turned brown and started to die, still have weeds but brown grass. The lawn looks horrific! I called and asked to have someone come out and view the lawn. 2 times I was scheduled and no one came. So when I received the service call for the regular monthly service, called and asked that someone take a look at the lawn first. They did not come out until 8/7/14, and sprayed. Today I received a call stating someone will come out tomorrow for a regular service call, I called Trugreen letting them know I'm afraid of the overload of chemicals. Now they claim the grass is brown because I canceled the July service call... I can see where this is going. I need 1/3 of my lawn completely replaced! Do not waste your money on this company!

After getting frustrated, I requested to speak to a supr. and was told one would call in 48 hours to discuss my concern. It has been several weeks. You are not friendly either. My parents live in OH. I live in WV. They like to make sure I have a nice lawn. The service has been used for 2/3 years now. Recently, TruGreen or someone posing as TruGreen called my parents 8 times in ONE day. WHY?????? ? One of the persons calling informed my mother that I was now requesting that a number of other services be accomplished and that they would be paying for it. LIE!!!!!!!!!!!! This person called my parents a couple of times. My parents then received a call from John in Tennessee. Funny - They live in OH and I live in WV. Why is John calling from TN?????
Scamming old folks for their credit numbers is WRONG!! ! I called the TruGreen office or number that is close to me (301-714-0212). Individual was able to locate me by my address. I was then able to speak to a senior individual. Her name was Cindy. She said that she would pass the information on to her manager. Great. She also stated that across the account record it reads DO NOT CALL!!!!! Why are there phone calls for NO reason?
I proceeded to inform my parents of what transpired when I was told of John from TN. I then called the same number above to speak with Cindy again. I was told by a young man that he needed my account number and/or phone number to bring up my information. I informed he was wrong. He said that he was unable to bring up my information by my address????? Why was Cindy and the first person I spoke to able to????? He said that he was not in Hagerstown, MD like Cindy was. He still should be able to bring up my account. Dah!!
What is an Order Number that you are asking for below? Just make this more difficult than it has to be. If my parents are being harassed/scammed, others are too. Who ever called and lied to them about additional services should be FIRED. Lying to customers is NOT good customer service. I had better not get another complaint from my parents. Otherwise, you will lose our business and I certainly will NEVER give anyone a glowing recommendation for your services.

TruGreen services my account in a timely fashion with a program that includes fertilizer, weed control, and grub treatment. Fees, while not inexpensive, are fairly reasonable. I always receive a courtesy call a few days in advance alerting me that my yard will be serviced. The primary reason that I hired TruGreen many years ago was for weed control which I was unable to conquer on my own with conventional weed & feed products. TruGreen has been somewhat successful in this endeavor but recently, some broadleaf weeds and creeping charlie have started to reappear. TruGreen should be more diligent in scoping out the yard each time they're here to determine the effectiveness of their treatments and proactively reapply weed control to troublesome areas as needed without my having to ask or call. On the positive side, their fertilizer treatments in conjunction with my frequent watering have worked quite well in keeping my lawn green throughout the year except for lawn areas in full shade which look somewhat anemic, but that is in no way the fault of TruGreen.

We noticed a lot of weeds still in the yard after our last service. So I called TruGreen yesterday and they sent someone out today free of charge to re-service our lawn. I was so impressed that they came right out to re-service the yard. They really stand behind their work.

I was visited by a representative who thoroughly explained how TruGreen could help my lawn at a very discounted rate. I told him I would have to check with my significant other before I gave him a decision. After numerous calls, he showed up at my doorstep again. He spoke with my significant other and she very clearly declined the offer. A couple of weeks later I received a welcome packet WITH a bill!! I called the company and they said I was signed up for 6 treatments for a total of $232! I admit I was angry at this point and told the operator I did by NO means sign up for ANY services through TruGreen. My initial thought was that the representative, irritated I did not sign up, signed me up without my permission.
The operator then said "I realize you are upset, but may I ask why you declined the service"... ridiculous!! I broke in and just said that I want to discuss fraudulent sign up of unwanted services. She told me to call the guy myself and complain to him myself. I'm not sure why I wasn't connected to someone else higher up. I then called the rep on his business cell and he emphatically denied signing me up and then after a bit he said it could have been an error. This whole experience has been VERY frustrating. Even if this was a simple error, it's an error that should have been caught without me having to handle everything when it wasn't even my mistake. It's very alarming when companies sign people up without their authorization!

I called TruGreen last year for the Scale insect (a kind of bag insect) that my trees suffered. They told me that they would kill the insect completely. They said, if the insect came back this Spring, they would treat it for free; they clearly said it was an insured service!!! I trusted them and spent hundreds of dollars for my trees, but as soon as this past spring came, the very nasty insects come out. I was in China in this spring and summer. My wife called TruGreen for the insects, but TruGreen said they didn't guarantee the treatment at all. They told my wife, "If you keep getting our service (still the same chemical spray on the leaf) for another year, we guaranteed the insects would be gone completely." My wife didn't know what happened in the past. She believed TruGreen and pre-paid $345 for continuous treatment (the same chemical spray).
I came back from China. I called TruGreen. A guy came to our house. He said... "No no no... the chemical spray won't work. You must have soil injection around the trees to kill the insect eggs..." I paid another $192. Yesterday, I found a TruGreen bill saying that they charged us $345 already for the chemical application to the leaves... TruGreen lied to me!!!! They made us keep spending money on the insects. They said it was a guaranteed services, but when I called them today, they said, "We didn't say it." They made us to use their services again and again. They lied. They lied to us. I have spent so much money on the trees, but the very nasty insects are still all over the trees. I will never ever use TruGreen again!!! They lied and got my money!!! But the insects are still on my trees now!!!!!!

My lawn was starting to show a little brown due to heat and lack of rain, even though I was watering. After TruGreen's most recent treatment the lawn has perked up nicely and I'm starting to see a lot more green than brown. They have done an excellent job at keeping weeds and crabgrass at bay. My yard looks the best it has in over a decade.

The communication of the specialist was great... there was detailed information left regarding tips and advice for watering and cutting the lawn. The color of the grass is starting to look great; however, there is still some crab grass in the back that is starting to overtake the lawn... but I'm confident the specialist will address this issue.

My wife and I have a new construction home. Due to the southern heat, the grass that was planted looked dingy at best. My wife and I have 2 special needs children and while I am at work, she is very limited on time to get to the door. The TruGreen guy stopped 3 times in less than a 5 hour period. When my wife did not answer immediately and by the time she got to the door he was pulling away. Then the 4th time he stopped he met my wife face to face and was telling her how he can knock off a large chunk from the first application. She told him we would discuss it.
Then he stopped the following day when my wife was out, and I was at work. My sister-in-law was there tending to our kids, and he then kept pushing the sale to my sister-in-law who does NOT live there. Then he pressured till he got my wife's cell phone number to call her while she was away from the house! This IS NOT how you do business! If he stopped and got no reply, leave a door hanger or card with a number to call. Leave a pamphlet with offers or coupons! This is not in any realm an acceptable approach to get new customers! Is he hoping that we will sign an contract to get him to stop coming by? Disgusting!

Our lawn looks the best it has since TruGreen has been treating it. The lawn care specialist is very good at his job and listens to comments/concerns entered via the surveys after each treatment. We have given TruGreen two years and several chances to improve our lawn service. A ordered aeration was not completed last fall and I was told it was rescheduled for spring. In spring I was told it was not put on the schedule. I have called twice this summer about the weeds and the promised visits to the property to see what was happening did not occur. Except for a small patch of grass by the patio, our yard is a mass of crab grass and weeds. It is an embarrassment. Their service has been cancelled and I will never recommend TruGreen to anyone.

This problem still exists after 6 treatments since 4/22/2014. Problem started when first treatment for emergent weeds applied. ALL of the treated area's grass never came back. I believe the weed control killed the emerging grass. It is bermuda and supv. said everyone's Bermuda had a die off because of severe winter. I showed him next door which has Bermuda also and it was mostly green, he had no real answer. He said they would get it back. Look at pictures and you tell me that it looks like it came back. See attached pictures. I need a response before I post these on Facebook at your site and also in the complaint files.

There are still patches in my yard that I thought your service would improve. Also there appears to be crab grass or something in my yard that I desperately want removed. Other than that the service is better than what I experienced under Scotts Lawn. Please take care of the crab grass.

TG has been treating our lawn for 5+ years and after service on 6/6/14 our lawn started turning brown. Contacted TG and a week later the technician came out - said he noticed the brown spots and they could be from the heat/humidity (it's been a cold/wet June/July) or a combination of the treatment and the weather and to water 3-4 x week. Grass continued to get worse and I called for a supervisor response but the same tech eventually came out again and told us the same thing (the grass is under stress due to the hot/dry weather). Eventually (3 weeks later), the supervisor came out and left a note (they never call first and/or make arrangements to come when we're home). His note said the grass would eventually recover but it "does not like sunshine and heat or growing on a hill like you have". The grass has been growing on this hill for 30+ years, TG has been treating it for 5+ years and this has never been a problem before. I'm finished with TruGreen. Thank you.

After a year of service with some problems, I will say Trugreen has done the best to live up to their commitment of customer service. The part that said, "We will come out and try to make it right," they have done just that. Every time I have called them, they sent someone out to look at the problem.

For the past 25 years that I have lived in this home, my grass grew without any problems. We were getting some occasional weeds and I was getting tired of picking them so I went with TruGreen. This ended up being a HUGE mistake. I have been using TruGreen for about the past 12 months. During that time, there are several large areas where the grass is totally absent. Nothing like this has ever happened since living in this house for 25 years until I started using TruGreen.
I called them and asked for help. They took no responsibility but said that they would reseed for an additional $200. I am in the process of seeing if they will work with us. But it looks like it's all about the profit for this company. We'll see -- in the mean time, I *strongly* do not recommend getting TruGreen treatments to your lawn.

Every time they come out, I need them out again to reapply product because they are very spotty on where they put it. They claim to treat all my Dallas grass but I find that a week later it is evident that they only treated a few based on condition. The supervisor came by yesterday and never followed up with me or left notice that he had been there at all. The only way I knew he did come by is that he did not secure my gate properly. I am currently asking for a full refund. Oh I forgot. The last two times they came out, they spilled chemical on the edge of the lawn where the truck was and it burn big spots in the yard. Seems like they are doing more harm than good.

I have to admit that it was my fault. Several spots on my lawn got dark gray are because of hot weather in Atlanta this summer. It happens to me several times after I posted this review. After rain or early morning watering, everything is fine.
TruGreen technician called me and came to site on the next several days. They did inspection, provided suggestions, and offering help. I do think this company work closely with customers to resolve problems or concerns. Thank you very much TruGreen.

Our beautiful lawn is dying after each TruGreen application. Here is the story. In early spring/summer (May 2014), our lawn was good but with some weeds. TruGreen came by and did weed control application. Our lawn is getting really bad after the application. At that time, we had some problems with our sprinkler system so that we thought it was caused by irrigation. We fixed irrigation, spent a lot of time and energy with the lawn. By the end of July, our lawn looked great again! We took pictures of our lawn and we felt proud of it. On Aug 4, TruGreen came by and did their application. Right after the application, our lawn is getting brown/dark. One can tell immediately about the difference by comparing dying areas with the places they did not apply their chemical. They are KILLING my lawn. We called, and a TruGreen technician came by this morning and told us there is some disease (does not make sense). I will call again to complain. Please share your resolution with TruGreen. I will NOT use this company again!

We have been using Chemlawn for over 10 years now. Up until this year, we have been very pleased with their services. This past spring (2014), after our lawn was treated, we noticed that our St Augustine was browning. We knew this seemed out of the ordinary, so we contacted our Chemlawn reps. After missing an appointment with us, we had to call to let them know no one came out. When the rep came out, we were told that we (in Dallas) had a late freeze that caused the grass to die. We were told that Our St Augustine would come back. After bringing it back to the best of our ability, we received another treatment a few weeks ago. Guess what? My Good St Augustine was browning again. We called our rep again. They sent someone out. We were then told it was a fungus this time & they tried to sell us additional services. I'm stuck now. I want my beautiful lawn back & haven't gotten any resolution from my reps. Anyone out there that can help?

I am truly impressed with the results of my lawn this summer. The weeds are gone and my lawn is now full and green. The service gentlemen always answer my concerns about my lawn and even how I mow it. As it turns out, I had been mowing my grass too short and scalping my yard and it would die out and not take root, NOW... It is full, green and healthy. It is a pleasure to mow now.

I have used TruGreen for years. I have put up with a lot and finally decided to cancel my service and look elsewhere. Our last application applied on July 2014 was applied with no signs, no phone calls, only a note in the door to say - Hi, sorry I missed you which I found 3 days later. In the meantime my dog and family were on the lawn not knowing chemicals were applied. Needless to say my lawn was not watered either in a timely manner. This has happened twice even after I called and asked them to make sure they leave a message that lawn care was going to happen. After all these years my lawn still has dandelions and weeds. I just pulled out several when mowing this past week. I was also told by another lawn service you should not spray for weeds in the hot summer months which TruGreen has done for years and my lawn has burnt up in spots. I canceled my service.

We have used TruGreen since the early 1990's. For the past 7 years we have been living in a subdivision that provides lawn care as part of HOA fees, but we still continue to contract with TruGreen because of how they take care of our lawn, trees and shrubs.

We have had Chemlawn since the spring. Our entire side yard is now dead. I was told a technician came out but have been unable to get a report. I have been trying for the past week to get a service manager to call and have not had a response. Horrible customer service.

I was charged twice for a service I didn't ask for. Whenever they called to tell me they would be coming out - they didn't. I've never had such rotten service on my life. NEVER again. The Lorton, VA branch is awful!!

Trugreen assured us that the lawn would be OK and just the weeds would die. After 2 months, the front lawn is dead and all the weeds still exist. We called to tell them. They said someone would come out to see what was going on, and 2 weeks later someone still hasn't called back. I'm ready to cancel service.

On July 15, 2014, our grass looked beautiful and we had regained our trust with this company. We took a year off from them due to prior issues with the company. Then when Jeff ** from Trugreen came on the 15, he over fertilized and caused 90% of our lawn with fertilizer burn. This is fatal to the grass and he has killed it. We called a few days later and he came on the 25, 10 days later, and put a natural organic nitrogen and to wait ten days to see what happens. It is the 31 of July and it is brown, dead. We will be calling tomorrow and asking for his manager. Do not trust this company. It is better to do the lawn on your own.

I have been a customer of TruGreen for 11 years, up until last year I was very happy with the way my grass looked, last year we started to have weeds pop up and some yellowish/brown grass also started emerging. I called at the end of the year and asked that before we started service this year I wanted to have someone come in and figure out what went wrong last year, needless to say that never happened, they started their service and every time I got an invoice I called in and I was promised someone was going to come out. I also asked them to call me before so I could meet the supervisor in my house to explain what I was looking at.
Finally on 7/21 someone showed up but they did not called me so they left a card on my house telling me they were going to call in the evening, I got no call. Following morning I called their office and told them that I did not get the call and needed to speak to the person that went and saw my grass. Later in the afternoon and as I was getting ready to go in to a meeting I received the call. I was told that in general the grass was good, to what I responded that I needed to go in to the meeting but I was going to text some pictures that I took so we could discussed. Sent the pictures and the following day I called and left a message to have them call me, is 07/31 and they have not called me back.
I'm in the process of getting quotes from another provider so I can cancel their service. It is incredible their response or lack of it on a loyal customer like me. I have given them all the opportunity they deserve because like I mentioned for 9 years I was very happy, but the fact that they can schedule an appointment with a customer to review their situation or call me back just tells me how much they value customer loyalty.

I was looking for a credit back to my account that had been agreed upon after making a decision to cancel my service. A credit did appear, but not for the agreed upon amount. I was very concerned that this situation was not going to turn out well for me. I was able to connect with Justin (**) and he was very professional and courteous. He checked the records and was able to quickly resolve the issue. They canceled the first Appointment. Then not showing up on the second Appointment. On the Phone, they have no interest to fix it. Manager refused to talk to us. We will not take their Service and changing to another Company.

Page keeps timing out after I have typed my concerns; stayed on hold 3 times today in excess of 4 minutes before disconnecting. Have asked them to come back because last application obviously didn't do any good, guy was here 18 minutes, the weeds are not dying, the army worms have continued to eat the grass, and it appears one of my shrubs may have received some of the application of some kind because the leaves are brown and the tree and shrub guy was here 6/26 and now after 7/15 -18 min application is brown. No other shrubs are suffering or have suffered in the past. I am very upset that I can't get through to anyone. I called on Friday, July 25 to ask for repeat (I have paid for full year service on both lawn care and tree and shrubs) so I should be able to get repeat.

I have used the services of TruGreen for a number of years. Last year I tried another company for the convenience of combining all yard/shrubs/mowing complete. It was not satisfactory and I returned to TruGreen. The company tries very hard to give excellent service and always willing for their man to return without extra cost if there are any problems.

When I bought my house, both the front and back yards were overrun with weeds. I asked around and a number of people recommended Tru Green. Since they started in the late spring, most of the weeds are gone and the grassy areas look lush and healthy. I recommend Tru Green.
