    Where's the 0 Star rating button?!... No, seriously 1 Star is gross exaggeration... Initial sales pitch was 2-month trial offer for $29 for full service(s) and over the top promises of an amazing yard. In spite of reservations I paid by check on the spot. Didn't see or hear from anyone for 3 1/2 wks until a flyer was on front lawn indicating weed service had been performed that random day. Again no word or service for 3 weeks so I called to make sure I cancelled before renewal. Naturally operator had never heard of "2-month trial offer" as that was a bold face lie by initial salesman. At that time operator indicated there were no services scheduled for my lawn until the following month clearly indicating the $29 paid upfront was for 1 weed/feed application (because I cant buy that at HD for $6 and apply with my own spreader... pls insert sarcasm here). Nonetheless, I cancelled the service... or so I thought.

    Apparently TruGreen is even worse at processing payment than they are at lawn care. For weeks upon weeks I have been HARASSED by TruGreen collectors (from a multitude of area codes... legitimate business?) seeking $29 payment which I paid upfront that they were unable to process w/o a routing number?! While no other legitimate business establishment seems to need that upon receipt of a simple check, I gladly and politely agreed many times to make payment in any form they would like as soon as they return my check to me to ensure double payment is not made (paying once for their "services" was already more than I could bear). They repeatedly confirmed they were in possession of my payment and yet continually hounded me for payment.

    Finally, after more than 2 unfortunate months and literally 150-200 unnecessary phone calls at all hours I made payment by credit card this morning at 8:16am, realizing $29 was a small price to pay to rid myself of TruGreen once and for all time. Unfortunately, it only bought me approximately 6hrs & 20mins of blissful freedom until 2:39pm when I rec'd a call from TruGreen... seeking $29 payment! I was miraculously very polite as collector realized payment had been collected earlier in the day. I immediately called customer service center and politely requested that no other phone calls be made to me by TruGreen going forward, as they have consumed all the politeness I had allotted for them as an "business establishment".

    There are many life lessons to glean from this regrettable experience but if I were to offer TruGreen one piece of constructive criticism it would be this: If you had applied the same amount of energy/concern/focus on my lawn that you did attempting to collect $29 (again, which you already had upfront), I would have been a customer for life! But as it stands now you, like my lawn under your care, are dead to me.

    On 7-17-14 Kevin ** with Trugreen failed to treat my yard. He wrongfully treated my neighbor's yard at **. I have been a customer of Trugreen for four years and do not understand why the wrong yard was treated. The neighborhood has all addresses on the houses and mailboxes. My neighbor came and gave me the doorknocker left on his door 7-17-14 on 7-19-14. He said he did not wish me to be charged for this service. He was at work and unable to stop the wrongful application.

    I emailed the company about the wrongful application on the weekend. I telephone the local office of Trugreen on 7-21-14 and spoke with Jonathan. He said Kevin ** would be out to treat my yard on 7-22-14. Around 3:30 PM Kevin ** had not yet arrived. I called the local office and spoke with Candice. I told her Jonathan had told me that Kevin ** was scheduled to treat the yard on 7-22-14. She said she would check this out. She came back presumably after talking to Jonathan and said Kevin ** was scheduled on 7-22-14. I spoke with Michael (answering service he said) at 5:30 PM. He said he would have the general manager call me, reverse the charge for the treatment I never received on 7-17-14, and he would reschedule the treatment within three days. How can the answering service do this?

    Unbelievably bad service. Signed up with company for service March 2014. At that time, I requested initial review of lawn needs. First appl. applied with no analysis done as promised. When rep returned my call a month later about this, he did not leave a number for me to call him back at. Initially instructed then they could only do treatments M-W since grass guy cuts the yard either Th or F. They came on Th or F anyway. Emailed them twice with concerns and no response either time. Waited on hold on a couple of occasions, only to be disconnected. Was not getting reminder calls informing me of tx dates, told some phones won't accept their calls so I changed phone number thinking I'd start getting them.

    Still no calls, I called to find out why. Told can't leave messages at extension numbers was the reason. Why not tell me that when I gave them the ext number in the beginning? Called to request the free weed spot treatments they promise. Told w/b there Tues. When no one came, I called and simply said "Can you tell me when I'm scheduled for my weed spot tx I requested?" They said Friday. Yet I had been told they had me schedule the Tues prior. Totally frustrated, called on 7-9-14 and spoke with manager Matt **. He stated he'll discount my upcoming Friday application for my troubles, change the phone # so I'll start getting the reminder calls I'd not been getting, spot treat my weeds and have the guy finally do my lawn analysis (4 months after I requested it).

    I arrive home on Friday 7/11 and see the yard tx sign stuck in the side of my yard, that they were not supposed to be treating. Upon review I see granules in the area as well. Looked back on prior receipts and it's the same usage of granules on July 11th as all other treatments. Meaning since March, they've been treating that side in error and I've been charged for use of granules over there since day one. On my door I see a single receipt/bill. Only says they applied fertilizer. Again, mention nothing about the analysis I asked for and nothing about spot treatment they were to do.

    I call again on 7/15, rep says “You actually got 2 services done, they just somehow only left you one receipt.” I asked if that missing receipt had the missing analysis info on it. Low and behold again, nothing noted on there that it was done. I said "What the charge on this second service they did that, I don't have the receipt for". Once she answered, I asked if that will be discounted like the manager (Matt) said it would. Guess what, nothing was entered in the system about me getting any such discount. She says "Well it’s too late for me to discount this one so we'll discount your next treatment.” I refused and demanded this one be discounted as Matt had promised. She obliged which says she was indeed able to do what she just said couldn't be done. Also, Matt had not changed my phone number so I'd start getting my reminder calls as promised.

    I made the rep I spoke with on 7/15 aware of all that I'd been through. Explained that not even a manager did his job right last week. She said she'd put a note in the system about all that had happened and that a manager would call me to discuss within 48 hrs. That was July 15th. Today is July 20th and not surprised at this but guess what... no one has bother to call me yet. Worst service I've ever had with any company. Glad I keep track of things, thus all of these issues were noted in my lawn care notes as these occurrences unfolded. Definitely had enough!

    Off to a very bad start. We called TruGreen because we were having trouble with armadillos (grubs). When the guy came out we were told that yard would be treated for grubs and insects as well as aerated. We asked for the appointments not to be on a Tuesday. Well, sure enough their automated system called and said they would come on Tuesday. Called and re-scheduled. Service man came today and he didn't know anything about aeration or insect treatment and he was out of liquid treatment. All he did was spread granulated fertilizer GEEZ. He is supposed to come back Monday. Also signed up for tree treatment. They were supposed to come yesterday and didn't come nor have we received a call as to why. Not sure at this point if we will continue with TruGreen. Seems like they are very very disorganized.

    Had landscaper put down Zoysia Sod 3 yrs ago. Had established Bermuda in front. Zoysia came in beautifully first year. By the 2nd year not so good. This year it’s all but dead. Yes, I notified TruGreen of change. Have used them for 14-15 yrs. I have been trying to get someone out to evaluate for around one month. First request through call center we asked to speak with manager. It didn't happen. Two weeks later called again. This time I was told the call would be escalated to a District or Regional Manager. That didn't happen either. Finally I get a call from my lawn service tech two days ago who said he just got the message. Told me it was a problem with a few days of warm weather followed by freezing weather which “decimated” the Zoysia, Centipede and Bermuda in this area. My Bermuda is doing fine thank you.

    No one has physically been out to evaluate the yard. I would call that a presumptive/maybe defensive diagnosis. During all of this time the techs have been out happily aerating and spraying, never once mentioning that I might have a problem with all the dead grass. No offers of alternative treatments or other suggestions. This week after talking to my lawn tech and requesting copies of all applications for the last three years and also some refund/rebate or help otherwise, I was told the manager ** would call. Nope. Two more calls to John ** my lawn tech have also gone unanswered. I've been a steady paid up customer for about fifteen years. Is this what I can expect in the future?

    On March 29, 2013 I called TruGreen to sign up for Fleas and tick services. The CSR sign me up and told me that I will be getting fleas and ticks services plus weeds control, and that I must continue services for 7months. That was no problem. In March of 2014 I discover that my Yorkie had fleas and also my shar pei, so I called in to TruGreen and asked about the treatment for the fleas and ticks, well to found out I was never signed up for fleas and ticks and that they don't offer that service. MAD I was. Someone called me two day later to apologize about the misunderstanding and that he will have someone out within 24hr and I stated AGAIN CLEAR that I would be getting the fleas and ticks services. He said yes and I will get 2 treatment for free. I said ok and Thank you, but because it was a Saturday and the next day was Sunday and states that he will have someone out Monday. TruGreen came out Monday and on Wednesday, but my dad said they NEVER sprayed and put some white seed around the tree, so I called in and to found out they signed me up for shrubs and something else and NOT fleas and ticks and charged me for it.

    Once again they LIED. Now I'm really upset, I asked to speak with a manager but, at that time he wasn't available and will have him to call me. I received a phone call from the manager the next day. He apologize and offered to refund me my money for the two treatment on Monday and Wednesday, and he was going to have the CSR that signed me up for something I never asked for to call me, but never did and I also told him I want a Full refund of ALL my money because I was never given the service that I asked for, and I also told him if they can pull the audio, when I called in on 3/29/2013 when I asked for fleas and tick services and I made it clear that is what I wanted, and I told him if she would have told me that TruGreen doesn't offer that services I would have NOT took the service and took my business somewhere else.

    TruGreen lied to me not once but twice. The manager stated that he will have to pull the call and it will take a while and he will give me a call. Well 3 months goes by and no call, so I called TruGreen again and asked to be refunded my money, spoke with the manager and another after another. Then a manager called and told me that they can't refunded me my money because TruGreen doesn't guarantee that it will kill fleas and tick. I told, "you can't guarantee something you NEVER gave me and don't even offer, that you lied to get my services. I want my money back for giving me false services". I want to thank you in advance for looking into this. Result: Burn grass with weeds everywhere.

    I have always taken care of my lawn. I gave TruGreen a chance to fertilize and control weeds and insects. For a fixed monthly fee. Guess what happened? My lawn got really worst and worst. My bill was NEVER right. I complained and they ALWAYS got back to me I must admit. However, they NEVER fixed any of my reported problems. The sprayed more chemicals, they aerated, more pesticide, fungicide and so on. Every time an additional bill and more fees. I finally had enough of them and I fired them. Now I have to start all over and get my lawn back in shape. I wish I would have found this website before. Don't hire them please. Not worth the price and certainly they don't have the quality.

    We have been a customer for over 5 years. Our yard has more weeds and grubs than when we started. The company first said that they were not sure where our yard ends and our neighbor's yard begins. Both neighbors on the sides have a fence marking their yard and we have a shed in our backyard. Even the front yard has so many weeds. I think the only thing they do on their visits is water the lawn. My one neighbor does their own yard with a over the counter product and their lawn looks great, for half the cost. I would never recommend this company to anyone looking for a lawn care service.

    I paid for one year of service with TruGreen. Their service did not kill any of the weeds. I moved away from that home and at the end of the year of service they sent me multiple notices saying my service would be interrupted if I didn't renew and offered several different plans/options. I never renewed. They claim they treated my lawn two additional times. They then continued to bill me. I e-mailed them and explained I wouldn't pay for service I didn't ask for and could not even verify happened. They turned my bill into a collection agency. I had to call and get them to remove the fraudulent charges and the lady in the office was incredibly rude and lied saying, "I knew they would continue services at the end of the year because it was in the fine print of my original service contract". If that is indeed true, then all the warning notices I received about service interruption were a lie. Either way, very shady business practices, horrible customer service, and overall no improvement in my lawn.

    They did not follow my directions. I had an area landscaped with new globe arborvitae 2 years ago, and had not included them in the order for trimming. They trimmed them, and very badly -- now has a flat slide. These are in a very obvious location at the side entrance (I'm on a corner).     In the beginning I hired them to take care of the weeds in my yard, so I would have a weed-free lush beautiful lawn. First I had to call them back after the first and second time they treated my lawn because I still had weeds. Then after the third time, they came out because I still had weeds. They burned up 40% my lawn with chemicals. When I contacted them about the chemical burn, it took a week for the service person who applied the chemicals to come back out and he told me I had a fungus in my lawn. Then after seeking a second opinion from a highly renown local professional who came to my house and said it was definitely a chemical burn, a second Trugreen technician came out and admitted it was a chemical burn and their fault and they would take care of the problem. Now it has been two weeks and I have called numerous times wanting to speak to a manager and I've yet to have one call back.

    After a disgraceful experience with customer service, a salesman arrived on my doorstep. I eventually signed a contract several weeks ago. I explained I had a party on July 26th, I need my lawn to look fabulous!! My appointment was made for Monday, they cancelled no notice. They finally came out, were at my house for 9 mins, left, NOTHING died. I called back day 9, was told I had to wait days for another appointment. Furious, I spoke to a guy at the local office. He mimicked me, was rude and condescending. He sent a guy out who was 2 miles from his office and could have picked up supplies with NO CHEMICALS. He told me he would be back today, no show again. I have made multiple requests for a supervisor and told there wasn't one available all 7 phone calls. HOW THIS COMPANY STAYS IN BUSINESS, I WILL NEVER KNOW. New customers, STAY AWAY.

    The yard's appearance is very good, but I'm a bit tired of always getting the same recommendations. Blade needs to be sharp, it is brand new.     If your lawn is made up of one or more fine to medium textured turf grasses such as Kentucky Bluegrass, Rye or Fine Fescue, DO NOT use this company. TruGreen ruined my Kentucky Bluegrass sodded lawn by overseeding with Tall Fescue a year ago this past Spring. I now have clumps of thick bladed Tall Fescue scattered throughout my lawn and it looks awful.

    When I talked to the TruGreen techs that serviced my lawn, they said that they always overseed with Tall Fescue because that's what most people want. I have spent over a year trying to get TruGreen to correct the problem and have received little more than a bunch of phone calls, site visits and a general runaround. TruGreen is absolutely the worst company that I have ever dealt with and that is saying a great deal.

    I started in April 2013. I would get calls then they would not show up. Next day, they called again, again, don't show up. Then they show up, next day, get a call they are coming out. Finally yelled at them enough that they simply replaced my phone number with all 999-999-9999 so now I have NO idea when they will be coming out or what they will be doing. That was NOT my idea nor did they tell me they were doing it. Now I have signed up for auto-pay. It says I was signed up for it but they would never bill it after a few treatments. They would only send me a bill. So I gave up and just waited for the bill. They came out the end of May. I waited for the bill. It never showed up. I forgot about it and then on Saturday I get a past due notice. I called them and told them I wanted to speak to a supervisor or else I would not be using their services anymore. Haven't heard anything from anyone. I was told they now tried to bill my card but the card was no longer valid. I didn't bother changing it because they never used it. I told them if I don't get a call, I am leaving. Their choice.

    I am very happy to report that Chris, the general manager called me immediately. He addressed my concerns and had someone to my house to do a walk through around the yard. My lawn was then treated again for the weeds I had called about at no charge as advertised. I was very happy with the customer service I received from Chris. My only other comment is that perhaps the call center personnel go through training on how to deal with these questions. The first time I called regarding a billing question, I had awesome customer service and wish I would have written down her name as I would call and talk to her anytime should any other issues arise. The last person I talked to regarding this issue seemed to not care one way or the other about helping me. So, thank you for addressing my issue promptly and professionally.

    I have had 2 applications. After the first application, I waited as recommended, to see the results of the weeds turning brown and dying in my lawn. That did not happen. We had the second application last week and as of today, I still see no difference. I contacted customer service today and was told that it could take 10-14 days as weeds germinate. Why was I told in the beginning to call if I didn't see any improvement? Even the customer service person said that if I did not see results they would come back to do another application free of charge, then in the same breath, he told me that another application would burn up the grass. I told him that I would give it one more application and if I still didn't see results, I am cancelling the service. The line went blank with no response. I said "okay", "okay". He said, "I am sorry to hear that" and then his regular required speech, "Is there anything else I can do for you ma'am?" Really??? They sure are wanting to sell you all of their other products, pest control, bush and tree service, but they are not able to take care of the service I currently have. Not happy.

    TruGreen appears to be a sham from the top down. Just try to get a supervisor or a person of any level of management to help when the people on the phone or in the field do not get the job done. I was called by the field person that they would be coming the next day to service my lawn - no show again. Waited two days, called for a follow up - nothing - called again today and found out that they do not call customers if they are running behind or will miss their appt time. Also found out that when the office sends out an appointment booking, the people in the field do not confirm back that they have received that email nor do they confirm back that they have completed the job.

    All I get is - they may have been too busy, their equipment has broken down or some other excuse but there is no way for their telephone people to communicate with a driver to find out what is going on in the field nor the driver back. Funny when I did get to a manager the last time finally - the work was done immediately - hmmm I guess they can communicate. I also was told that when they call for the service appt to come, it may take 2-3 weeks - not the next day as this person said on the phone said to me - clearly next day! I was told that due to cell phone laws, their people in the field are not permitted to use their cell phones by one person and then told that all they had were pagers? Funny if the pagers get emails and if they do, can they not respond back?

    The last customer service person said to me that they cannot handle the workload to manage if their people in the field are doing their jobs or not or even receiving their emails? My gosh I want that job - get job orders - go to the donut shop - don't go to customers and get paid, with no reporting back - what a job that is. All I have gotten is fast talk and no answers. I truly feel this is a scam as I have spent hours on the phone trying to get one thing done - get them to the house when they say they will come.

    Everyone in their offices is trained to put you off - they say exactly the same things every time you call - I have logged the verbatim words they use all the time... I was told that a senior manager would call me back in 20 minutes - called back after that and was told he was out of the office - then was told he was on something important - not that I am important or not right... They are big on words - then take your money and HORRIBLE ON SERVICE... My god what a disaster this is for us... We made a huge mistake with TruGreen.

    After paying in advance for a one-year contract, the treatments have been spaced so that there's little possibility that TruGreen can meet the ten contracted visits within the year's contract. The sales pitch was for a visit every five weeks. Second treatment was scheduled for eight weeks after first. A call managed to get that changed to an earlier date after a reply by Customer Service that "they didn't know they had pushed it out that far." Called again for third treatment to find out that they had scheduled it for seven weeks later.

    On arrival, serviceman said that he couldn't apply the treatment due to weather. Said he would have it rescheduled. Received "confirmation" of treatment via Email. Called on next working day to find out that serviceman had marked treatment as "complete." Customer Service said that they would resched for some time in next three days. Now going on 8 weeks between treatments with growing season limited in this summer heat. Customer Service said that if all ten treatments not received by end of contract, money would be reimbursed. We'll see. At this point, I've had to call Customer Service to get any treatments after the first application. Sad part is that the treatments seem to be good. But, the customer service and scheduling practice is disappointing.

    We signed up for Trugreen's lawn service back in April of 2014. After the most recent service on 07/03/2014, the lawn started developing large round and oblong patches within 6 hours of the service and despite watering. Although we signed up for aeration and seeding for this fall, I am not ok with the company killing our current grass.

    I used TruGreen 2 years ago and was very disappointed. The lawn looked terrible and the advice I received from the rep was not very good. They also tried to sell me applications that were not necessary and the applications I asked for were not done correctly. Last year I did not use them but they did try to "sneak in" and charge me. This year they came to the house and said they were under new management. I said I would give them a try and I am glad I did. The new guy is very knowledgeable and answers all my questions. The yard looks great again for the 1st time in 3 years.

    Scott (employee # **) came to my door wanting to sell me a TruGreen contract Aug 2013, said as a corner lot in a golf course community, he wanted my business. I paid for a whole year in advance. In addition to lawn care and reseeding, he threw in a year's worth of 'Tree & Shrub Service' for free and wrote on my Service Agreement "entire yard" in two places. Then the fun began. Even though I paid in full in advance, I started receiving bills in the mail and had to call in to resolve. Every time I have service it is a different person who doesn't know where my property lines are and I have to run outside to 'catch them' and walk them through it. One of them only treated half my plants and said my other plants were thought to be the neighbor's just because they were in a pine straw area.

    I work from home, so I get to see them dragging their heavy hoses through my perennials and shrubs, against my ornamental trees; some apologize when they see me coming, others just stand there dumbfounded and actually respond that they just didn't want to have to move the truck! So LAZY. That one just took off, even after I suggested that he use my 30' wide driveway to drag the hose across instead of through my plants, he just couldn't do it so he called into headquarters and then he left.

    Did you think "entire landscape" meant all your trees and shrubs? Oh NO!!! Every time the worker gives me a new list of plants they DON'T treat (Nandina, Japanese Maples, to name a few) so it was never going to be my "entire landscape" like the salesperson wrote on my contract. It was like talking to Bill Clinton about Monika Lewinsky; we were arguing about the definition of a shrub. All the shrubs they skipped. Is that a shrub? Yes - then spray it! It took 3 calls to their 1-866 phone number today to determine how many services I have left that I already paid for. After that, this is going to be CANCELLED. I kept all their receipts with the chemicals they SUPPOSEDLY put on my landscape (could be water for all I know). I'll buy them on the internet and invest in a sprayer. Job Done.

    My lawn (just two years since full sod installation) is covered in Brown Patch (oh, yeah, we can treat for that for an extra $100 they say, but why didn't they suggest that back in May when it would have done some good?). The TruGreen guys blame the irrigation and the mower guy's mowing height and blade sharpness. No one takes responsibility for all three parts (mowing, irrigation settings, chemicals) so they could actually be responsible for us having a green lawn. Why am I paying thousands but still not having green grass? Isn't that what it is all about TruGREEN? Yep - worthless.

    Our specialist, Larry **, has been providing our service for many years now. In fact, he is the reason we continue to get services from TruGreen. He is always friendly, professional, and does an excellent job. His expertise has kept our lawn in top shape throughout some very bad weather conditions over the years. We are always glad to see him and know that we can count on him for answers and/or solutions to any issue that might come up considering the health of our lawn. We trust him and his advice 100% and consider ourselves lucky to have him for our lawn care needs. You are very fortunate to find such a talented hardworking, dedicated employee and we certainly hope you appreciate him.

    How can you improve? We had your tree services for a few years off and on, but not this year. As you know, the tree service is not provided by Larry and we had another specialist for that service. We did not renew this service because some of the trees (arborvitae) that received the service last year look horrible this year. I'm not saying that this was anyone's fault per se, however, we could not see the benefit of receiving services again this year. As indicated, the sides that were sprayed on all the arborvitaes are dead - the unsprayed sides looks fine. So, that is the reason we dropped this service and were unhappy with the money spent and the results received.

    On April 5th, 2014 I contracted with TruGreen to treat and service my lawn. On April 14th, they made my first treatment. Shortly after, I noticed my Oak Trees and Plum Trees turning a sick yellow. Shortly all the leaves started falling off two of the oak trees as they were dead. I have called 7 times to have someone come out and look at. I have several promises they would come.

    After several calls and promises, someone finally came out - he thought he was coming out about my lawn. He looked at the trees - said his Manager need to look at them and he would have him to call. As of this date, I have heard from no one. I paid one year in advance - now, I can’t even a phone call from anyone. One of the Nursery said they sprayed too heavy around the trees since they were just putting on new growth. Very disappointed with TruGreen.

    I bought a new home on 19th of September 2013 which came with a 1 year Trugreen lawn treatment plan. Trugreen should have treated my lawn AT LEAST THRICE this year as per the schedule that I received from them but they did not visit my property even once. It is already July 2014 and Trugreen is showing absolutely NO INTEREST to treat my lawn in spite of talking to their representatives on multiple occasions. My lawn is taken over by weeds and is not growing well, this would have not happened if they had stuck to the schedule.

    When I mentioned this and requested them to service my lawn on high priority, all I receive is a service date and no one turns up on that date. I call them again, I receive another date, no one turns up again and so on so forth. I am very frustrated with the way TruGreen treats its customers. Being a Lawn Care company, I guess they should at least have the moral ethics to attend to a lawn which is in dire need of attention. Extremely disappointed with this company.

I still do not think they live up to anything like what they promise and that the service is not good. I could not recommend them. I would give them a 2 out of 5 stars, and I only do this because they finally credited my account for the full amount.

    We signed up for TruGreen lawn service in April and paid in full to receive the discount. They have been out three times and all they have done is spray spots on our lawn. There is one clover like weed that has died out mostly, but the crabgrass is worse than it was when we hired them. One of the service men even suggested I run around the corner to Home Depot and pick up some crabgrass killer and spray the spots - isn't that their job. They also sent someone out to ask about taking care of our shrubs and bushes - why would we hire them to do this when our lawn looks worse than when we hired them.

    I have called several times to complain and it doesn't seem to help. I would not recommend them unless I see some great improvement. They are not doing what they said they would do and we are very dissatisfied with their service. I am taking photos weekly and want to look into some type of small claims court to get my money back. I should have just gone with some local gardeners and paid them by the week. It seems TruGreen has my money and now they don't perform.

    Hired for full ground kill in backyard, and weed control along side of house in front. I was told service would start the next week, a month later I called to see when they were coming. They told me they could come on a Sat between noon and six, as I needed to be here. On that Friday while I was working they sprayed the front for weeds but sprayed the wrong area, then never showed up on Saturday! I called to let them know I was not paying for them spraying the wrong area and to cancel service all together, as I have reached my limit of frustration. They told me it was taken care of. I have since received a past due bill for $120 for them spraying rocks, called again to take care of it and have now been told that a rep will contact me within 24-48 hrs? I am furious.

    I purchased 2 services from TruGreen Fall lawn aeration and TruHealth Lawn service. I Purchased both services online (as pre-paid services) and have had billing issues with both of the services. For the fall lawn aeration I received an invoice for the amount discounted for pre-pay. I called TruGreen and they removed that charge. The Truhealth service I paid for a year purchased in July of 2013. I received a bill in June of 2014 for $72.56. I called and asked why I was being charged I was told that the $72.56 was an incorrect charge, and that instead I owed TruGreen $20 and change.

    I have problems understanding how that is good business, and that if I paid in full for 1 year why I owe money now. Also if there was a concern that there was going to be additional charges for the last application of the paid in full year why I was not contacted prior to them applying product. I was advised by friends to do business with this company due to the great job they do on the lawn and while my lawn may look better I am VERY dissatisfied with how they handled billing.

    They continue to miss appointments and the service person turns in information saying he did the service. They have missed the last three appointments and each time Mark (customer service manager) says they are sorry and he will fix the problem. I am scheduled for today, Friday 6/27, and I called in to verify that and was told by Monica that I am scheduled for 6/29 which is a Sunday and she doesn't know why. The service guy was here on 6/18 and said he wanted to wait till the lawn was cut on 6/19 so he would return on 6/20 to do the job. Nobody showed on 6/20 and according to your records, he finished the job on 6/18. On 6/18, both my wife and I were there when he drove up and when he drove away and he never touched the lawn. Yet you show he used over 4 pounds of product. I have never dealt with a company that has such poor service. Mark says the computer changes appointments and reschedules them and that is why I am given dates and nobody shows up.

    We spent over $1,000.00 for the complete lawn service for this season. Right now the lawn looks worse than when we spent $150.00 for the 4 Step program with Scotts. Our first treatment was for the hemlocks and as you can see from the images, it did wonders for the yard. We were told the grass should grow back next season. Yeah OK. After the first lawn treatment, I had to walk the lawn 2 weeks later and spot treat for dandelions as they were growing very healthy. Our second treatment was for weed control also and to fix what was told to us as Red Thread. Once again I was out walking the lawn and spot treating a couple weeks later. The lawn is embarrassing and we have lost all faith in TruGreen. As of today, we are talking to Corporate and trying to get a refund as we figure I have to walk the lawn after every treatment TruGreen applies, I might as well get the Scotts treatments and do it myself to save a few hundred dollars. Now we wait and see if we ever get our money back. TruGreen... Don't bother calling us as we have learned our lesson.

    I called and set up an appointment for a TruGreen technician to come out to my home for a lawn analysis and service. I specifically asked for an early appointment because I wanted to be able to walk with through the lawn analysis with the technician before having to leave for work. They were to arrive at my home at 7:30 am. The technician never arrived. I called the toll-free line twice before getting a call from the technician at five minutes before 8:00 am who stated that he "could leave now". What? I specifically asked for an appointment at 7:30, so that I would be able to make it to work on time. It was very important for me to be there for the "analysis".

    After talking to a very nice customer service agent, Susan, I felt like the issue was going to be resolved. She told me that the branch manager would call me and get something worked out. When I received a call from the branch manager, he said, "How can I help you"? This put me off a little bit because it was as if he was not aware of my issue. I asked him, "Do you know why I am calling and what my issue is"? He was not aware. This further disappointed me and really started to anger me. I had to recount my entire experience (again for the third time) and all he did was make excuses for his technician.

    If you have an appointment with a customer, you should keep it or call that client and let them know that you will not be able to call. The most important aspect of the appointment for me was the lawn analysis. On the "welcome letter", they specifically state that they will perform a "TruGreen Healthy Lawn Analysis" and I wanted to be present for that. They do not have weekend hours - which blows my mind. This does not make sense to me (an aside). After expressing my concerns with the manager and emphasizing the importance of being present for the lawn analysis - the manager proceeds to tell me that he can answer questions I have OVER THE PHONE. How is this possible? Don't you have to see my lawn in order to be able to answer questions about it? If you TruGreen states that they offer a "tailoring of your lawn care plan", wouldn't they need to be get my input on what problems I see with my lawn?

    Overall, I am feeling very disappointed in this first initial interaction with TruGreen. What I have learned from this experience is that my needs and concerns as a customer are not valued by TruGreen. They want to just come out and "spray my lawn" and that they probably don't really "tailor" lawn service to their individual customers. The consequences of this experience is that I cancelled my lawn plan and will make sure that I was not charged and will not be charged for anything. I was angry this morning, but now, I am just really disappointed. I will look for other companies to perform this service and hopefully will have a better customer service experience.

    Last year I discontinued TruGreen mid year and regretted it. I finished out the summer without TruGreen but called this spring to set up the treatments again. My lawn is a deep green, lush (watering only 2x a week) and virtually weed free. I look at the density and color of it compared to my neighbor's and there is a visual difference. I truly believe the TruGreen treatments make a difference. The specialist always does a neat job and leaves the flag in the yard as well as a comment card for me to read. I actually pay attention to what they say.

    I would not recommend TruGreen (TRUE BROWN) as my eleven year old son calls them. I began my service last year with them because I wanted greener grass and less weeds. About one week after TruGreen would leave I would end up with brown patches in my yard. I was told then that this was the spots of the weeds dying and that next year, after the reseeding that fall, my grass would be as a green as green could be. Ok, I have had two treatments this years and once again both times brown everywhere a week later. I tried to have my TruGreen guy come back and look at it and he ended up yelling at me telling me he has done this for ten years and that my brown spots looked great! (SERIOUSLY HE DID).

    I call TruGreen and speak to Mikey and she tells me the manager Corey will contact me. Well of course, NO CALL BACK. I contacted them again myself and spoke to manager Ed and he says he will be out Monday or Tuesday morning. He couldn't give me exact day or time. So I stay at home and wait both days, NO SHOW!! I have called his cell and left messages and still no call back.

    I have paid at least a thousand dollars to them these past two years and they cannot have the courtesy to call back. I will make sure I am refunded the amount for this year and the amount for the seeding last year. I will be sure to keep you updated! Maybe they will call after this. I see each time with a bad review they tell the person they will be calling them. We will see.
