    Avoid this group at all costs. They quote you different amounts to start service and then double their fee without notice whenever they please. The guy came and spent a grand total of 7 minutes on my yard. I watched him miss a quarter of the front of my yard. I plan on hitting all neighbor and associates that use this service as well to inform them of this company's crimes.

    We have used TruGreen in three different home in three different areas in Fl. By far the best professional is **, our tech who does our home in Oldsmar. You would do your customers a great service if ** was the person to do all your training. Our lawn looks as good as it can look with the services he advised, he is always honest, not pushy like your sales dept; always courteous and most of all, we feel we can trust him. He always lets us know he is there, he writes a complete description of what he did and takes the time needed to do it correctly. My only for improvement would be that when you call to advise of an upcoming service, call at least 24 hrs ahead of time and please identify the property that will be treated. Thank you.

    TruGreen charged me for spraying 7000 square feet. My lot per city tax records is 7840. Minus the square footage of the house, patio, driveway, sidewalks, misc concrete pads, shed, numerous flower beds and two huge hedges leaves me about 4500 square feet of yard. Per my conversation with the Lawn Technician we reached a mutual agreement NOT to spray my back yard due to new grass seeding that I have done. Only the front yard was sprayed which is approximately 2100 sq ft. When I brought this to their attention they credited me $14.00 for the over charge. In summary: 7,000 sq ft equals $70.00, and 2,000 square feet equals $56.00. No one will return any of my calls as well! The only TruGreen Representatives that I can talk to are the Out-Of-State ones from NC and MD.

    Never give your credit card number to this company. Here is my story and how they did business with me. I signed (via phone) an agreement to have my grass fertilized and also remove the weeds for a year as follows: The first application cost $29.00 and 11 additional applications for $40.00 each visit. I do have a letter sent from TruGreen which confirms this agreement. Unfortunately after they made the first application on April of 2015, I checked my credit card balance and there was a charge for $69.99. Personally I thought that there was probably two months already charged to me, so I didn't call or filed a complaint (because I thought I was doing business with a serious company). Then they made a second visit on May 14 of 2015 and left a letter on my door describing the services they provided, so no problem.

    I verified again my credit card statement and now they charged me $80.00, again that's totally different to what I signed for, so I called customer support. This time they mentioned was that in the first application they did some additional service for my trees (which I never signed for) and for the second application, they added some bug stuff (which I never agreed either). Basically they charged whatever they want just because they had my credit card. Not good way of doing business. Terrible experience. I just cancelled my service and of course I will not get my money back.

    I hired TruGreen in Feb. They did one application in Feb.. They came back last Monday May 18th and sprayed some chemical to make it greener. My lawn was the nicest, greenest lawn on the block... until TruGreen sprayed my lawn and killed over 50%. I called everyday for a week, emailed, and got nothing but jerked around by supervisor ** in Raleigh, NC and some other person in Orlando who said I needed to start over with him. I was told on three occasions that someone would get back to me with in 24-38 hours (by ** would be the one contacting me). I recorded the conversations and advised each and every time they were being recorded. Their response... "Yes we record too." How obnoxious that even when taped they flat out lie!

    It's been 7 days. Yes... my grass will grow back but I paid in advance for a year service and they refuse to refund my money. They said 4 time they would have someone contact me and never did. They said equal amounts of time they would refund. No one has ever called me. I have had to instigate the calls. I have pictures, witnesses, and a lawyer if necessary. Never, Never, Never use this company. They are horrible, liars and will avoid calling or doing what they promise at any expense. I am going to post on every social site, media site and website I can to warn people of their unscrupulous behavior. I will also engage my attorney to file against them for not refunding my money or repairing my lawn after clearly killing it. You can see exactly the application strokes they took. They are horrible horrible people and should never be allowed to handle anybody's lawn.

    We live next to a "lot" that is used for access to the pond behind the next house. It gets mowed regularly, but no weed treatment at all. In all the years that TruGreen has serviced our lawn, we have NEVER had a weed or dandelion even being so close to that next lot with all its weeds.     My lawn use to be mostly dandelions. Two years ago I started contracting TruGreen to come out and service my lawn. They come approximately every 4 weeks, except for the winter season of course. The first year, I also called them to come out in between their scheduled service due to the dandelion problem. The extra service in between was free. Today, my lawns looks great. No more dandelions, and it is a beautiful dark green color. The specialists that come out come up to my door to let me know they are here and ask if I have any specific concerns that need addressing.     After using TruGreen for three years and being somewhat satisfied (the first year the lawn looked better, the last two it deteriorated) we decided to have our landscaper take care of weeding and feeding our lawn. TruGreen sent me a bill and, as I had always paid the amount in full in the beginning of the season (@$1200), I declined. The fellow came out anyway, which is a cheap trick to make the customer pay. I felt bad, called the office and the representative told me the bill was wrong as I was entitled as "a long term customer to a 25% discount" and she would keep my name on the books because if she took it off and should I return, I'd be charged full price. I sent the bill in minus 25%, told them not to return and was immediately billed the "balance".

    I called again, they changed the story and said the 25% discount is only applied to applications going forward. I was still considered a customer but I needed to pay the full amount. She said she'd have her manager call; I said why, this is the second long conversation I had and nothing was resolved. I now receive bills saying I am "past due". I shouldn't have paid them anything as I hadn't wanted the service, but I felt bad for the worker. This is an unfair practice, sending non-contracted technicians out as most people would feel obliged to pay. Further, the story keeps changing as an obvious ploy to be paid for unwanted work. For the record, my new guy is doing a great job. I threw the most recent dunning bill out; soon as another comes in, I'll forward it to you.

    I have been a TruGreen Customer since year 2006, HUDSON, FL location. I have contacted my local office due to a palm tree having a few deficiencies. I requested a service manager (**) to resolve this issue since there have not been any improvements. It is unfortunate this manager is unprofessional and lacks customer service. I never receive a return call as he stated to resolve my issue. TruGreen states they guarantee complete satisfaction. It's been over a week and today I contact customer service to follow-up with my situation, and they stated my case was close and resolved.

    This information is inaccurate. How could my situation be resolve if I never receive a follow-up call by the service manager? The person that closed the case should be questioned to inquire whom provided them the information to close case. When I asked the customer service, "What was added to the notes to close the case?" She stated information was vague. I can't understand how was MY case determined if I never received a return call. Who follows up with situation like these? The service manager should have been the last person to close this case.

    I will be sending a letter to the corporate office regarding this situation. This is a reputable company! A situation like this is unacceptable ! I have referred A FEW neighbors to TruGreen but to receive service like this is quite disappointing! I have been given the runaround. The TruGreen, HUDSON, FL location needs to be questioned and held to a high standard.

    This is my 2nd year with TruGreen. My grass is now always green and thick. Clover was starting to take over my yard, and now it is gone. No weeds to speak of at all. There were bare spots all over my yard, but the aeration and over-seeding, and fertilization and weed control has definitely solved that issue. I also am very pleased with the fact that if you think something is not going the way you think it should, you call them and they come right out and try to correct the problem.     I ordered the lawn fertilization service which is Tru complete lawn plan several days ago, but first they send a tree and shrub man to treat the trees. I asked him whether this is included in the first lawn application, he said yes!! But after that I was billed $57.95 for the tree and shrub service!! And it is definitely not included in the first lawn application!!! They sent man to do the aeration to my lawn which is also not what I need!! Be careful to deal with this company, they will add additional plans to your account!! I called the customer service, they do apologize, but I still need to pay half the price of the tree service and full price of the aeration!! And I still not getting the lawn fertilization service now!!!

    If someone drove you around my neighborhood and asked you to pick out which yard is cared for by TruGreen, I'd bet that 99 times out of 100, you would choose mine. The color is richer, the grass thicker and the appearance looks almost like a plush carpet. I give feedback to my specialist if I notice anything special, but otherwise rely on his expertise to do what's necessary. In reality though, I'd have to say that's been true in the past. After several years of comparing their lawns to mine, more and more of my neighbors are now also using TruGreen. The neighborhood sure looks great.

    TruGreen is not a good customer based company. First, they guarantee their services and when they cannot kill the weeds they say they will, you do not get a refund at all. If you prepay they WILL NOT send any other type of refund back to you except the way you paid. I paid with a credit card and told them that my card was stolen so that card is no longer valid. They said it was not their problem, that will be the only way they will refund my money. I asked if they send out refund checks and they said yes if that was the way I paid. Since I paid with a CC they will send it back to that account that no longer exists and I will have to contact that CC company and try to find a way to get my money back through them. Asked to speak with a manager and was told they are not in, that they will leave a message for a manager and one will get back to me with 72 hours.

    I bought my lakefront house last fall. One of the selling points was the lush green well-manicured lawn. The previous owner treated it himself. Something I found out after 3 applications by Trugreen. So far it looks like I'm raising a dandelion farm. They came back to retreat after I called to complain a week after their second application of the season. It's been a week since they came back and retreated and so far my dandelion issue has tripled in size. It's a joke. The only reason I called them to treat my lawn is I'm a disabled vet and get tired quickly. And moved here to relax. It looks like I'll have to learn how to treat these annoying weeds on my own. As I sure I won't be asking them back next season. Save your money and treat your lawn yourself if possible.

    I recently moved into the area and decided to put my mind at ease and hire a lawn service to care for my lawn (Bermuda grass). When I moved in, in December, there were minimal weeds or grassy weeds in my lawn. My first treatment occurred in January and in March I started to notice weeds in my lawn. I called initially for re-treatment in either late March or very early in April. I've since had 2 or 3 additional treatments and my lawn is now full of grassy weeds (mostly foxtail). This, after pulling a trash can full of assorted weeds myself.

    I've called several times and received a discount to my service. During these calls, I tried several times to set an appointment with a service manager and had that escalated to the general manager when my phone call was not returned. My phone call was returned once while on a flight and unfortunately it went to voice-mail. The manager even left a voice mail indicating he would call again the next day and never did. I called the main service line again to have a manager contact me and I was told I would be contacted in 48 hours, which never occurred.

    Today, I put my mind at ease by cancelling my service. I will not "choose TruGreen" services in the future or advise others to do so because my money went for nothing. My lawn is worse now than when I started service. Customer service offered again to contact the managers/escalate, but I've tried doing that more than once. I was repeatedly informed of the TruGreen guarantee, but what good is a guarantee when the service is crap from the beginning? I should ask for a refund but I'm done dealing with this company.

    My first experience was horrible. The guy rushed and I watched him skip areas and he then drove off. I called the local office and they didn't really seem to care. Said they could have someone back out to the house in a couple weeks but give me a range of 5/12-6/3 when the service was done in April. I have more weeds than I did last year when I did it myself.     Management finally called on 5/12 and explained his observation on my lawn but not mention anything about long wait with no reply. There are more room for them to improve their customer service I believe if they can review each complaint and evaluate them they try.

    Before my application service on 4/29, I called to request a check out yellow spot in my front yard. They said, "Sure," and can be combined to my next service on 4/29. On 4/29 I got my first application but nobody never leave a note stating what did they find about yellow spot on my lawn. So I called after that and rep said, "Set up a service call for you on 5/4." Then on 5/4 they just apply exact amount of fertilizer/weed killer and still not said anything about my complaint of yellow spot.

    I called 5/5 to complain if my lawn will get killed by double chemicals!!! So they said they will request management call me right away. 5/6, after 24 hours, nobody called. So I called again and they said, "Usually 24-48 hours," and ask me to wait. 5/7, after 48 hours, and I called again and rep said, "Sorry and I will arrange management call you definitely before end of today." 5/8, after 24 hours, and I called NJ office 908-755-2795. Lady ** try to get rid of me by keep telling me, "Management will get back to you." As a loyal customer of TruGreen, this is the time you will feel being mistreated badly for sure. There is no customer consideration from this company at all. Not sure how can they survive this long.

    Started service 2013. That year they did great. In 2014 they chemically burned about 20% of grass in my front yard. To make up for it, they have given me a 50% off of my 2015 charges. So far this year, they sprayed my yard 2 times once with pre-emergent and once with weed killers. Grass is very spotty, weeds are thriving. I called the toll free number 3 times, requesting someone from the local office to call and come out to inspect my yard. So far no call and no one has showed up. The grass where TruGreen is not spraying is looking far better then where they are!!!

    Called TruGreen to start service back up from 2013, quoted me $61 and I said that isn’t what I was paying before so they looked up what I was paying before $39.90 and they said they would honor that. A day or so later I got a phone call for me to confirm service and pay. I asked for 5 apps instead of 6 and they said it had to go back to the sales team. Waited a couple days and didn’t hear anything so I called back and they said the order was canceled? So I asked to reset it up and was quoted $79.95 not sure where that came from but they again said that they would honor the amount I was paying before ($39.90). Later that day the confirmation people called to confirm service and pay. I choose to pre pay for the 10% discount and $29.95 first application. They never took my payment info.

    Called back Monday morning. Was informed it was canceled again and reset it up and this time call center person took my CC info with matching of what I was paying before $39.90 ($206.50) In the meantime, the Friday before a field sales supervisor (**) out of the Grandville office had come out to my house and knew pretty much everything that had been happening (hmmm) and said they would not honor what I was paying before and quoted me a price of $45 per visit and $105 for aeration. Told him I would call him on Monday and let him know either way!

    After him calling twice again on Friday and once on Saturday I called him Monday and advised him I had talked to the call center again in the morning (Monday) and they again assured me they would honor what I was paying before. He was out in the field and said he would call me back when he got to the office and could check on it, called me back an hour later and said yes they were setting me up with the original price of $39.90 and ask if I gave them my CC info and I said yes. His response was “Well that doesn’t do me any good” (hmmm) and asked me if I wanted any of the other services to let him set it up and I said I would possibly want the aeration but would like to make sure the service gets started.

    Wed morning got a call from ** and he advised me that they still did not have me set up in the system and he wanted to make sure I called TruGreen and not TruGreen (or something along them lines). Are you kidding me! Really! I told him it was definitely TruGreen. I reminded him that he had called me from the office Monday and told me they were setting me up and honoring the $39.90 and he said that he never called me. Well I repeated exactly what he had told me on Monday and he said “Oh no I meant they are not showing any prepay.” WTF. He told me they must have taken my CC down wrong and he will call his district manager to find out what is going on.

    He called back and said still no prepay info and that he can take my CC info and set it up, $39.00 x 5 and $29.95 for the first app, 10% prepay discount for a total of $202.45 how convenient. If I had to go thru all this just so this guy ** could get a commission or credit for sale on this that is unbelievably unethical! I asked, "Does everybody have to prepay to get the service going?" and he said “No but because it is classified as prepay it is sitting in limbo.” Whatever that means. Also was told that I would get free grub control and chinch bug control applications and would get a great deal on aeration if I waited and called in the fall? I did not ask for this but this is what he said.

    I did at some point ask him what his District manager had to say about this and he acted shock and said no he talked to his Branch manager, unreal. When I did mention I was filing a complaint with the attorney general I was offered a free lime application. And he would see what he could do on a free aeration and that offer ended up being $100, same as what he quoted me a week ago. I also asked who gets the commission on my acct. and he would not answer me. Several neighbors are using TruGreen as well so I will advise them of these issues I am having so they can watch out for this. Sad TruGreen used to be a decent company.

    UPDATE: TruGreen just came out to service lawn and no weed killer, put down granules and was told by sales rep ** the only reason they would put down granules is if it is too cold? Too hot? And in fall or winter. He agreed the liquid was the best! Imagine that. Also free grub and bug control is listed on bill as an application and isn’t listed at FREE!

Our lawn is full of weed despite $300 contract with TruGreen, worse than any other lawn around us.     I have been dealing with brown patch for the last 3 years.. it continues to get worse despite expensive treatment. In 2014 technicians came out... They told me it was difficult to get rid of. One technician advised taking a steel rake over and over it. This year is worse despite another $320.00 treatment. I also had TruGreen treat my yard for fire ant control... about a month ago... I just surveyed my yard and see 5 new fire ant mounds. This was also an expensive treatment. My overall appearance of my yard on a scale of 1-10.. 10 being greater is about a 2. I placed a call into customer service requesting a technician and above mentioned problems.. I requested a call back within 2 days 4 days ago.. no response. I told customer service their services would no longer be required if did not hear back from someone. TruGreen services are now terminated. A new company is coming in to hopefully remedy all.

    I contacted the TruGreen Loganville office on 4-23-15, to set up services for my resident. I was quoted a $29.95 fee to start. And he told me the first service call would be on 04-28-15. Well on Friday after I made it home, I say the notice on my door that they treated the yard that day 4-24-15. Well this was crazy because they said the first treatment was going to start on 4-28-15. So Monday when I arrived home there was another notice on the door stating they had had came out again on 4-27-15. So yesterday I decided to call with concerns they were billing me for the two visits. And instead of them charging me the $29.95 they quoted me, they had charged my account for $53.00. I called the office to find out what was going on, and why they had been out before, and why the charge was different from what they told me.

    Well the gentleman I spoke with was clueless or he acted that way. He apologized for that, and then told me that they were going to my home again on yesterday. So they have already billed me 3 times so far. I am so upset with it. I asked for the service manager which he said he didn't have the name of the person. Which is crazy but I told him fine. But to cancel my services. He told me he would have the service manager for my area contact me. Well I received a call this morning for the service manager that she was going to credit my account $29.95 which was supposed to be the initial charge. I told her that I wanted to make sure my services were canceled with them, and explained to her my displeased with their billing practices. I also told her this was why I canceled their service 3 years ago, and that I see they are up to their old practices. But to stop service ASAP and not to set foot back on my property.

    She should have credited my account back all the money they had stolen, but she gave the least amount back. I was fine with that, because I called my bank to charge back the amount. "Do not mess with this company" they are thieves. And are not to be trusted. You will need to either cancel the card you provided to them, and or have your bank to stop any and all debits from the company.

    TruGreen had my lawn looking lush and green in just a season or two, and that was starting from a lawn that was patchy, weed-ridden, and being taken over by moss and violets. Even though they could not guarantee complete control of the moss and violets without special attention, the moss and violets disappeared almost entirely by the 2nd season of regular lawn treatments. My lawn is now like an outdoor carpet... lush, green, and no weeds. They also call a day or two ahead of time, so that you have time to get the lawn cleared of toys, etc. The annual price is reasonable for all of this.

    We have several fruit trees (2 bing cherry, 2 peach, 2 nectarine and 2 apple). For several years we've been struggling on our own to treat diseases that these trees have. A representative from TruGreen convinced my wife in the Fall of 2014 that we should use their expert services to treat our fruit trees. After looking at our trees on-site, the TruGreen representative assured my wife that after several tree treatments over the fall and winter months, our trees would be looking better than ever. My wife took the bait.

    According to their paper records and the bills they submitted to us, TruGreen did allegedly treat our fruit trees. However, after assuring my wife their services would bring our trees back, we have one completely dead peach tree, one nectarine tree that only has a few living branches and a cherry tree that is 75% dead branches. On 22 April, a TruGreen representative came to our house and apparently applied another treatment to all our trees and charged us for them. Now I'm not a tree expert, but I recognize when a tree is dead. Their so called tree "specialist" apparently couldn't figure out a dead tree from a living one and charged us at the same rate as previously.

    After the treatment, no one from their office even bothered to call us to discuss what was happening with our trees and the proper approach to save or cut them down. As far as I'm concerned, this particular group in our area seems to be more concerned with making promises they can't keep and charging for services that aren't justified.

    Don't make the mistake on getting the prepay (year) service, I did and right now I am very, very angry and disappointed with the service and the results. They were supposed to treat my lawn 2 times last year and doing the aeration (not done) and just came 3 times. This year, on April 22 they haven't showed up even though I have called them like 10 times already. It's impossible to speak with them since there is always someone from an answering service talking to you and taking notes. I had to cancel my contract, I hope they reimburse the right amount.     I am beyond upset with the service and the lack of customer service I have received. My lawn looks 100% worse than it did before TruGreen treated it. The last treatment to my yard TruGreen did burned a portion of my yard that is dead now. I spoke with ** (manager - Bowie, MD) who informed me that TruGreen had my address wrong and "the treatment I was paying for was for another lawn, which is why my yard looks worse." Their fault!

    I received a coupon in the mail for first application 29.95 so I called. Come to find out the cost only covered the shrubs which was not disclosed to me. The service men came out and did the lawn separately, the total was then 64.00??     TruGreen said they would let me know if any of my trees or shrubs were in trouble and take corrective action. My green giant tree of three years died this winter and TruGreen never notified me of it being in trouble. On February 23, 2015 I spoke to **, the Office Manager who said he would have ** call me. They never called so on March 04 I called Customer Service and they said they would have someone call. I never received a call so I called again on March 27 and ** said the Branch Mgr. ** would call within 2 days. A technician did come out and looked at the tree and said a manager would have to inspect it. No one came out so I called the local office and **, Service Mgr., said she would come out and take a sample. She never showed up. TruGreen then calls to schedule my next application and I called back and cancelled it until the tree situation was resolved. The same technician came out and took soil samples.

    On April 9 the report comes back stating no reason for the tree dying. On April 10 I called Customer Service and said I need a decision on the tree because it needs to come out. ** said he would have the local office contact me. There was no contact so on April 11 I removed the dead tree. I am still waiting for TruGreen to take responsibility for the dead tree and to replace it. TruGreen has given me nothing but a runaround and their customer service is a joke. Why should I or anyone else trust them to protect our trees when they will not honor their own obligations?

    I was offered treatment on my lawn for $29.95 first treatment and was set up on automatic billing for the $59.95 and instead of being charged $29.95, I was charged $59.95 so I called and your company said they would issue a credit. So the next day I checked my account and it was charged another $59.95. This brought my account under what I needed for my mortgage payment so I called again April 9th. They said they would immediately issue a refund and it would be in my bank tomorrow. And I checked again today and it's not there, also after speaking with a representative TruGreen called to upsell me on my shrubs being treated because I have insects. They talked me into it and I said “take it out of the money you owe me and send me the rest”.

    Well the excuse I received today for why my money wasn't returned is because with getting the $40.00 service for my insect problem, it slowed my refund for the difference to be returned to me. To say the least I am very upset and I have had my money stolen out of my account twice and trusted this company with my credit card, and will not allow this service on my property again, because now I am late on my mortgage, and money is not sufficient enough to cover it. And I have never been late and it will impact my credit report. I will be contacting my attorney to see what type of action I can take against this company.

    You can get better advice and products from Home Depot or Lowe's to manage your lawn AND pay way less. I paid hundreds of $$s to TruGreen for an entire summer and including the core aeration and overseeding. Never saw a single weed die in my lawn or a new blade of grass show up. In fact, by the end of the season I had more weeds than when they started. Calling the company and complaining will result in them showing up and doing the same service AGAIN with no results. This was my second rodeo with this company. Once before at another home with the same impact.

    Garden is worse than when I started almost a year ago. There is no communication about future plans and what to expect. The manager never calls or stops buy to see how things are Going and obviously in my case, things aren't going anywhere because there is been no improvement whatsoever.     I signed up for work to be performed at two of my rental properties in 2014. The work performed was adequate. I was not told they would perform any further work. In 2015 Trugreen performed service again without any notification, consent, or agreement from me. I was billed for the first service.     TruGreen is a terrible company. 2 years ago a representative came to my house. We agreed that TruGreen would treat my lawn 4 times for $98.00 and signed a contract. They came and treated and I got a bill for $52 I paid it, they came back and treated again and I got a bill for $102. I called them to fix the bill because I only owed $46, they said they would fix the bill and send me a new one.

    For the next 5 months this same thing happened, they would send a bill for $102, I would call and they never fixed the bill. Then another person came to set-up the next years treatments. I agreed that I would get TruGreen but I wanted them to call and talk to be before each treatment, and not automatically bill me. They agreed. I also said they needed to fix the $102 bill that was sent to me in error. They agreed. Two days later I had an automatic withdrawal from my checking account of $400 from TruGreen. I called the company told them to cancel all treatments and give my money back and remove me from ever being called again.

    I did get my money back, but they tried to send the $102 bill to collections. I called the collections company and told them I had a contract and that they shouldn't have ever agreed to this bill as it was against the contract I had with them. They continue to call even though I have been asked to be removed from their database. I feel like I am being harassed!

    I signed up and pre-paid in the spring 2014 for TruGreen in Plymouth Mass to service my lawn. I quickly noticed after the second application that my lawn was getting brown (I have an irrigation system) so I increased each irrigation zone by five minutes in hopes more water would improve the lawn. Unfortunately the lawn continued to get worst so I called TruGreen, they send someone out and he recommend additional fertilizer application. The lawn got considerable worst and TruGreen Plymouth came out again and said "increase the water" so I increase each zone another five minutes (each zone increased to 25 mins). The lawn did not improve so TruGreen came out again and identify the lawn was infected. TruGreen suggested another treatment to fix the infection but I consult other lawn care companies and was told this type of infection only occurs in July and August, it was September at this juncture.

    I was working from home a few weeks later when I noticed the TruGreen truck pulled up, the technician got out truck and stick TruGreen sticker in the lawn and drove off without applying any treatment. I immediately called TruGreen office in Plymouth but was unable to reach a supervisor/manager; I left a message for the supervisor to call me after explaining what happened to the receptionist. I never got a call back after a couple of days so I called the regional office in New Jersey but again was unable to reach anyone and the receptionist was reluctant to provide the regional manager contact info. The following week the TruGreen Plymouth office manager contacted me in which he came on site, he reviewed the lawn and offer a free aeration to restore the lawn.

    After my awful experience, I decided not to use TruGreen because it was apparent they never treated my lawn as advertised. TruGreen (initially said his name was ** then became **) called today March 24th 2015 because my wife had called them about some shrubs (unannounced to me), I explained to ** the above experience and he hung up. I waited ten minutes in hopes he did not intentionally hung up but he never called back; I called back but got put on hold for awhile and eventually I hung up. What's disappointing they never offer to refund my money for service they never provided but their un-professionalism is staggering.

    We had TruGreen servicing our lawn for a number of years. On at least one occasion we were scheduled to have our lawn aerated by TruGreen and they did not show up. When they did show up, I advised them that since they did not show up as scheduled and did not call, we called another company and it had been done. We never used TruGreen again for aeration.

    The reason we stopped using TruGreen is because our lawn was overtaken by weeds while they were the only company responsible for weed control and fertilization. Our lawn was the worst looking one in the subdivision due to weeds and it was embarrassing to us. We called them to retreat the lawn and the technician told us that they were unable to control the weeds, but they would retreat our lawn. They did retreat the lawn, but we did not have any confidence in them after that. We signed a contract with another company and have been very pleased and would never do business with TruGreen again.

    For the past several months we have been receiving calls from TruGreen trying to get us back and each time I tell them that their service was lousy and we would not do business with them again. I've told them repeatedly, not to call back again and to take us off the call list.

    I was eating dinner last night with the family, Friday, March 20, 2015, at 8:34 pm and I received a call from a TruGreen female representative from telephone number **. I told her we would not be going back to them, because their service was lousy and we had a current contract with another company. I asked them not to call back again, take us off the call list and to stop harassing us and I hung up. I became very upset and started to get chest pains. I am considering hiring an attorney and suing them. This has gone on for too long.

    In considering the company for my lawn care, I choose TruGreen over a local company, based on their sales presentation. They have serviced my lawn with chemicals since July, 2015. They did a good job for weed control, however, I believe the balance of their lawn and weed chemicals are not accurately blending well. The last technician who came in February, when asked about who the chemical he was apply was for, it responded he was new and really had not learned all the information it. Shortly, after the application, my grass was streaked with light areas,. Another week later, I had brown spots where my grass seemed like it was burnt.     I, in good faith, signed up with TruGreen and am pretty pleased with the results. However, my year contract ended and I began receiving bills from them. I have asked what these bills are for and was advised that they continue treatments after the contract ends. I wasn't aware of this so I asked that they be halted until someone could call me to make arrangements for a possible new contract. I also advised that the aeration and overseeding that they had done in the fall was not good in certain spots.

    They scheduled for someone to come and inspect. A crew came out and said that it was too late in the year to aerate and they would give me 50% off in the fall. To me, this was unacceptable. They charged me for a service and didn't complete the job. So, to date...no call to work on a new contract and no remedy to the unfinished job. Therefore, in closing, I don't think it would be wise for me to recommend their poor a services and communication to anyone.

    TruGreen technician took him about 10 minutes to treat approximately 3000 sq ft. When he left in about a weeks time I had streaked grass from fertilizer being applied unevenly. Callbacks resulted in a tech coming back out and doing the same again. Grass still looked like a flag with dark green and light green streaks.

    Weed applications were minimal. Lawn is still full of weeds after 10 months of treatments. I personally purchased weed killers and fertilizer to aid in lawn treatment. TruGreens answer was for me to wait 2 more weeks... weeds abound and streaks did not get any better.

    The product and the service has always been great. The billing and A/R is disconnected. After recently finding ourselves in a billing issue, we were ready to leave for a competing service. Seth ** (TruGreen) spoke with my wife and it was not a fun conversation for him. He could have done what I expect out of most companies (and CSRs) and move on with his day, never providing closure to the customer or issue, but he didn't. Seth then called me to sort things out. He made the choice to make a difficult call, that's impressive. TruGreen, and other service related companies, need more employee like Seth... willing to confront difficult issues. I wouldn't have felt comfortable recommending TruGreen prior to yesterday's interaction. Hopefully Seth's personal approach to customer satisfaction becomes a top-down initiative.

    If anyone is thinking about using TruGreen please don't. I started their service last year. At sign up I was told by the salesperson (of which I have the original paperwork that they would come every 6-8 weeks). Every time they attempted to come every 4 weeks. I repeatedly told them, (the office here in Grand Parrie Tx and the corporate office) to come every 6 weeks, of which didn't do any good. I had to turn them away personally every time. The latest problem occurred when I referred my son-in-law to TruGreen, who signed up for a year of service. I was told by my salesperson when I signed up that I would get a $40 referral fee. When I contacted Bill at the Grand Parrie office to collect my 40 referral fee he, Bill, said they haven't done that for 4 years, although I was told by another employee it was 2 years ago they stopped that program.

    Bill told me that they would not honor what my salesperson told me because he no longer works there and that they haven't had that program for some time. I told Bill it's not my fault that their employee misrepresented their company but they still should honor what I was told by my salesperson. Bill said they will not honor what I was told. I told Bill I am not asking for cash or a gift card, just one free month of service, Bill said they were not going to agree to that.

    I do want to say something about the person who has applied the chemicals to my yard for the past year. Rod who is the person that does my yard is very knowledgeable and very kind, I really like him, If I ever have a question about my yard he takes the time to explain every question I have. So TruGreen has left me no choice except to contact my local news station here In Dallas Tx and see if I can expose TruGreen's deception practices. Just so anyone reading this thinks this is an old post today is 2/21/15.

    I at one point used their service but they killed my lawn so I discontinued service. But now their sales team will not stop calling me. Even after I repeatedly asked them to put me on the DNC list. They call me at my work and at home almost daily. And they have the uncanny ability to interrupt our family dinner every time. No matter what time we are eating. Each time they say they will fax the DNC info to their corporate office to have me removed but they never do. My advice is to not use this company. First they will kill your lawn and then kill your spirit. And I am going to write a 1 star review for every phone call I receive from here on out.

This happened twice last year. This year, when the ENTIRE SERVICE was declined, they continue to send me bills (even before the season has began). My review is that this company harasses and does not take care of the customer. They only want your money. If you are willing to deal with 8-10calls/week about your lawn, then go for it. Otherwise choose a more respectful agency.

    I was supposed to get 6 lawn treatments in one year. I know I received the first treatment and strongly doubt if I received another. I was assured that I did in fact receive the treatments. So, I questioned the supervisor, If I am getting the treatments why is my lawn deteriorating, i.e., weeds, bare spots, dead grass, etc. My lawn looks worse now than it ever did, even during water hours. The supervisor then said, It is because how the lawn care people are mowing the lawn. This is ridiculous because I have had the same mowers for 15 years. Then I was told, it was my lawn sprinkling system, which I again considered a ridiculous response. I have come to the conclusion the TRUGREEN has no interest in CUSTOMER SATISFACTION but in getting you to take out a yearly contract. I could never ever recommend them

    I hired TruGreen in Shawnee, KS last spring for lawn applications. By far, they are the worst company I have ever dealt with. First of all, they stated they would come every two months to apply fertilizer. Rather than showing up every two months, they came every month the first three to four months despite repeatedly asking them to only treat the lawn once every two months. Second of all, they burned out our lawn and applied grub control when it was not ordered. A manager showed up to inspect the lawn, stated he would credit our bill for the problem, and then failed to do so. I had to repeatedly contact him via e-mail before the bill was finally credited.

    Third of all, they give you about 24 hours advance notice before showing up to do your lawn. This was a major problem this fall, because it took forever for all the leaves to drop on the trees. I repeatedly asked them not to apply fertilizer if leaves were not racked or mowed over yet, and they willfully applied fertilizer despite my request. The rep on the phone simply stated that we should just mow over the leaves, which would release the fertilizer on the grass and soil. How does TruGreen know that we don't rack our leaves? Moreover, mowing over the leaves does not properly release the fertilizer on the grass. I know this by looking at our lawn. The areas where there were no leaves to begin with are quasi green and the other areas are completely taupe.

    Fourth of all, I refused to pay for the last two lawn applications, approximately $100, because our lawn looks like it hasn't even been treated. A collection agent called our home three times in about five minutes, each time with me answering the phone, which isn't legal per the Fair Debt Collection Act. They can only call once per day if a person answers the phone.

    Fifth of all, I called to complain about the collection calls, the appearance of our yard, and the overall experience with TruGreen since 04/2014. I requested that a supervisor call me back. I began calling on 12/31/2014, and I placed three to four calls before a manager called me back. More specifically, they gave the excuse that they had the "wrong phone number" on our account, and they were not able to call back due to the incorrect number. They gave this excuse each time I called, each time I corrected them and gave them the correct number.

    This seems like a convenient excuse considering they had the correct number before (e.g. lawn application notifications and collection calls) when calling our residence. Moreover, I e-mailed a manager on 01/10/2015 and received no call back or e-mail. Therefore, since no one had called me back or e-mailed by the 15th of January, I filed reports with the BBB of Kansas City and the Attorney General of Kansas.

    On 01/22/2015, I finally received a call back from TruGreen. They stated they would send someone out to look at our lawn. On 01/27/2015, a rep showed up at our residence. While he offered to repeat the lawn applications, I told him no, because I had terminated our service with TruGreen and had hired another company. He then proceeded to say, "then why am I here"? I told him it was because we needed our bill credited, that he needed to inspect the lawn, and that I had no desire to continue to use them due to the problems over the last year. Their rep then began to argue with me, stating that our lawn should look taupe because it is winter. I pointed out the green areas of our lawn, the other lawns in our neighborhood, and reminded him that they applied winterizer.

    He then jumped the gun and stated the company that we hired must be lying to us and claiming that our lawn should be greener. Not so. I told him I know someone with a horticulture degree, that my grandfather was a farmer, and I know what our lawn should look like; moreover, we have had our lawn treated every year since we moved here in 2006, and it has never looked so terrible. It is also worthy to mention that I have taken Botany courses and have a general understanding how our lawn should look. He then stated that a person with a horticulture degree wouldn't know what they were talking about because they only treat shrubs and that my grandfather was only "a farmer" and didn't know what he was talking about.

    This explains why our lawn looks so terrible, since any reputable company as large as TruGreen would hire employees that actually know what the field of horticulture does; they treat fruits, vegetables, algae, fungus, woody plants, and handle turf management: residential and business lawns. It is also pretty pathetic that he didn't know this considering K-State sends out turf management tips to Kansas residents every year, specifically their horticulture department.

    When I told him that I didn't want to argue with him and ordered him off our property, he told me I was rude. Finally, he stated we would continue to get collection calls because he would never credit our bill, stating our lawn looked fine, even though he had offered to retreat it, a blazing contradiction, but more specifically because I was rude to him. Employees should not be allowed to make subjective judgments about a customer's attitude, nor should they be allowed to refuse to credit a customer's bill based on their judgment of the person's attitude. Seriously. Because of all of these problems and filing the reports about the incidents, they have finally removed the charges. If they are not properly treating your lawn, it is a big deal to hold them accountable, because it boils down to services not rendered.

    We had nice green grass in our nice neighborhood here in FL. We wanted it to be better so we hired True Green. Now our lawn has terrible huge dead spots in our front lawn the VERY NEXT DAY AFTER TRUGREEN TREATED IT!! WE ARE THE TALK OF THE NEIGHBORHOOD. The community does not even want to see one of its trucks in our community anymore because they see what a horrible job TruGreen has done at killing our beautiful grass. You can see the spray marks in the dead grass. Perfect radius rounded sweep marks in the dead grass from the wand where they sprayed and killed it. It is very clear they had something bad in their tanks.

    People stop and ask still after 3 months of our lawn not being fixed WHY TruGreen has not fixed our lawn with sod or something? I tell them we have called TruGreen 10 times trying to get resolve and to get management out here to see for themselves their terrible work, and get them to fix their mistake. Well we have not gotten anywhere!!! NO one in supervision has been here and it has not been fixed. The worker that killed our grass said we have to wait until spring to get our grass that he killed to come back. It is Now January 25, 2015.

    TruGreen is terrible. Even worse is their management they do not care what they do to your grass. No help over the phone, they say give it a few days it will get worse before it gets better. Then they had the nerve to bill us for extra $$$$ after they killed it and asked for payment. I said are you going to see to my request and fix our lawn? Are you going to send management out? Send someone who can make the call and re: sod - YOUR terrible WORK? NEVER HIRE TRUGREEN!

    We had some tree pruning done at our residence. We wrote a check for the entire amount owed and gave it to the "foreman" of the job. He lost our over $500.00 check. We then were told to mail in our payment. We did exactly that and today I got a call from the company saying we have a past due amount! They clearly lost our second check we mailed 10 days ago to a location a few miles from our home. I'm disgusted with this company and won't have anything else to do with them in the future.     Like most organizations, TruGreen may have a strong mission statement, but fail in delivering those goals to the customer due to an Associate's lack of training or knowledge. This has been true in my experience with TruGreen, and so for consistency in service and results, I have requested to have one Associate assigned to my property. For the most part, Scott ** has been assigned to my property, and it appears on the occasions he is not scheduled, issues occur; as an example, my lawn was severely damaged this past spring during an early application. The damage to my lawn was not able to be corrected for over six months - unacceptable! To the credit of Jason **, the newly assign GM of Branch #5815, he did take ownership of this issue and provided an acceptable resolution, and my lawn was repaired in the fall. As a follow-up, Jason indicated he plans to review my lawn in the spring and take further corrective action as necessary.

    After two years of service I did not see any improvement. I called many times to report this problem from the beginning to customer service. Sometimes they send a supervisor who certify the lack of improvement of my lawn. They did not do anything to resolve the issue. Whatever product they applied to the lawn was not the right one for what was needed. I was paying service after service was not result. I did not pay for the last tree services and they called many times to collect the money, but did nothing to resolve the issue with my lawn. I do not recommend this company. Avoid yourself a big inconvenient customer service just sounds nice but no solution...
