TruGreen Lawn Care Reviews

This service never resolved my Lawn problems. They just threw fertilizer on to make the Lawn look green for a few weeks. They never fully addressed the weed problem. Their tactic is to make your Lawn look great, one month at a time, but never giving you a long term solution. Once you quit their Service, your Lawn goes back to the state it started.

TruGreen is expensive, but if everything goes as planned, I feel it is worth it. My major complaint is I still have weeds. I wish the technician would see and kill weeds without my input. I do tell him my problem areas and weeds, but I mowed this morning, and still saw a bunch of them.

I have had TruGreen service for 2 years and my lawn looks great. Prior to this, I tried to service my lawn myself but was constantly fighting weed, crabgrass and moles. TruGreen has helped with all of these. The TruGreen technicians are both knowledgeable and reliable and are more than willing to help by answering any questions about the care of my lawn. Thanks.

I subscribed to TruGreen for home lawn care last year, and it seemed pretty good at first. However, beginning in March of this year, I would get telephone notices from "Trudy", their robo-caller, that service would be performed on a certain date, but then no one ever showed up to do the service. The service was finally performed at the end of March, after three no-shows. Then the problem recurred in April into May, with a only half-service in May with no explanation. Again there were multiple calls from "Trudy" promising service, but no one would show up.

Recently subscribed to TruGreen after they took over my existing account with Scott's Lawn Service. My lawn was destroyed the first time when they applied an unknown chemical during the fertilization. After repeated telephone contact the manager finally came out and reviewed the damage. He said there was nothing they could do and the grass would eventually grow back. I cancelled my service due to this response. A month later, TruGreen called and said they would do another service for free if I agreed to resume my account. I said no and advised them I was joining another company.

Scott ** always comes to the door if I am there & explains what he will be doing & what we can do to help improve the look of our lawn. We don't have a sprinkler system & never water our lawn, but with all the rain we have gotten this year, our lawn looks great! I appreciate TruGreen calling to let us know that they will be there the following day. We are very happy with our service!

I had a beautiful stand of Centipede and a good amount of it died... I was told there was a disease that caused it. I contacted you to help me and it seems to be improving. We see more of the Centipede runners now and we hope that continues. I know it will not change overnight. I think we will be going on our third year with you this fall.

TruGreen does a fantastic job year in and year out. Don't hesitate to hire them on to do your lawn!! They are extremely professional and courteous. Always explain what they are going to do or have done. Explain in detail what I can do also to improve my lawn.

I have the TruGreen Lawn Care Service. Prior to getting TruGreen, my lawn was full of weeds and bare spots. I now have a beautiful green lawn with no weeds and I constantly get compliments on how good my lawn looks. TruGreen comes out on a regular scheduled basis and treats my lawn with the proper nutrients. They are very professional and always explains what they are doing and why they are doing it. I couldn't have this beautiful lawn without them. Thank you very much.

Service done well but I still have weeds... Maybe you can come back and just do a weed control application... I have many plants in my yard and maybe the technician doesn't want to get too close to them. Also weeds in other spots.

The customer service, the phone call to set up appointments and the reminders, my specialist's friendliness and professionalism - helped me to set up the aeration and over-seeding that I had not gotten around to doing yet. My lawn is starting to look like a lawn and not a weed patch. I like that you come and do a survey of the lawn halfway through the season and make suggestions.

The service contract clearly states the front, back and side yards are to be treated, but on multiple occasions the technician has been treating the front yard only. It has gotten to the point that I have to make sure someone is at the house when the treatment is done or the entire yard won't get treated. Next season I will be hiring a more trust worthy company to perform the lawn service.

I'm not always there when my lawn service is done, but when I am I'm always impressed by the knowledge of my specialist regarding the seasonal weeds in my lawn, what they are doing to eradicate them, and other health issues my lawn might be experiencing, i.e., fungus or brown patches. They are always hustling to service my lawn, but very thorough. I don't see anyone cutting corners. They are always eager to engage me and answer my questions, very friendly, professional and courteous. They are quick to recommend other treatment solutions. I also appreciate the calls in advance to notify me when my specialist will be coming.

Sometimes I have specific requests and the service people try to accommodate me. They ring my doorbell and we always discuss the current service. They listen to me. I appreciate the fact that they care about what I want. Sometimes it's about my roses or my weeds or brown patches of lawn.

I have contacted TruGreen for service for the past month. My lawn was green with Scott's for the last two years. This year, TruGreen has destroyed my lawn. It is now brown and bare in many spots. I asked for the specialist to come out and see what they could do to make my lawn better. I specifically asked that no more product be put on my lawn. Instead, the specialist came and sprayed more product, killing even more lawn and this time, my hostas and two gorgeous hanging plants. I am going to cancel this service, but can never talk to a person to complain. I have been promised phone contact but none occurs.

We've been using TruGreen service for about 20 years & our lawn stays healthy & happy... It covers 1/3 of an acre & I tried doing lawn care myself but found it was costing me more & was less effective.

The technicians that have serviced my property are very professional and courteous. They do an extremely good job of caring for my large lot. If I ask them to do a certain area that I think might be missed. They have no problem caring for it. I've been fortunate to get the same two men and they give the 110% satisfaction. The quality of my lawn after using TruGreen for several years is astounding! I wouldn't use any other fertilizer application service competitor because I'm absolutely satisfied with TruGreen.

So far my experience with TruGreen has been wonderful. I can see the difference already. My specialist Vincent ** was trained well, presented great customer service skills, made sure I understood what he was doing before he started and recapped his visit with me after he was finished. We are happy with the results of the service provided. We knew going in that this was going to be a 2-3 season process as we had basically a brand new lawn that was 90% weeds. We still have weeds and crab grass but another aeration or 2 will hopefully solve that.

I would not allow any other lawn company touch my lawn. TRUGREEN has been awesome and will continue to treat my lawn. From the start 5 years ago I went from weeds and dirt to a golf course looking lawn. My lawn is the best in my area. My friends and family can’t believe how awesome it looks. With TRUGREEN and I working together we achieve the best lawn. If you don't have TRUGREEN at least try it for 1 year.

They ruined my lawn. It was explained to TruGreen that I had Bermuda grass yard and I would only like to kill the crab grass. They applied a chemical that kills Bermuda to the entire lawn. They are completely incompetent and dishonest in more ways than I care to discuss.

Our tree service specialist Gary ** is both attentive and communicative. He engenders confidence with his in-depth knowledge of tree and shrub vegetation. When he leaves we know we have had competent professional service. The results speak for themselves.

They call the day before application. When they arrive they ring the doorbell, to let you know they are there. They apply the variable solutions. When they are done they leave a tag on the lawn to show their work is done.

My lawn has never looked so good since we started using TruGreen. We had major weeds especially crabgrass. We used the 4 step program year after year but besides being costly in itself, sometimes too much would come out in the spreader or spots were missed. We would get grubs most years and buy special treatment for them. Once I started TruGreen it took until the second year to really see a big difference. The lawn is very healthy looking now. Much thicker.

I recognize we have been going through a terrific drought, but even so I can enjoy green lawns in both the back yard and the front of the house. The weeds have been reduced to a minimum. The technician always tells me what was done, and hands me a written report so I can tell my family what was done too.

The specialists are always friendly and very helpful when I have any question. My grass looks the best in the neighborhood. Whenever I have had a problem, they have been very quick to respond (weeds, etc.). Appreciate the fact they let us know when they are going to do a service (either phone call or ring the doorbell).

The lawn looks good - the weeds have been dramatically reduced since using TruGreen - the specialist is friendly and professional. He comes, does the job, and goes - perfect! I receive advance notice of the specialist's arrival such that I can contain the dogs.

I am rarely home to interact with our service technician, however, our lawn looks amazing. We rarely have any weeds and it is thick and lush. My only complaint is pricing. I hesitate to do the aeration and even consider shrub and tree service because of the cost. So I fertilize and spray my trees and shrubs myself. I am sure a knowledgeable technician would do a better job but I can't justify the price.

I am well pleased with the performance and customer service I receive from TruGreen. My lawn recovers well, in spite of drought conditions or heavy rains. Jamie, my technician, goes out of his way to communicate with us on lawn issues and care. He is readily available to attend to any issues that arise.

I have some spots that never do grow grass. I need to stop the dog walkers to from making my property a daily stop. Overall, it looks pretty good. I hope my specialist, Mike ** has not been replaced. The young man that came last time seemed quite young and inexperienced.

Our lawn was beautiful when they took over our lawn care. Now 4 months later we have China bugs, dead spots all over the lawn and we have called and called and always get a runaround. Now Kevin won't answer our calls or call us back. Would never recommend them, their customer service is horrible. Plus you have to pay a year in advance so you're stuck.

TruGreen is a professional company. No weeds this year. TruGreen is more than capable to care for grass and outstanding customer service. Last year my yard was horrendous. This year the grass looks great. TruGreen is always on time and dependable.

I think TruGreen has the standard applications but not an expert evaluation of our lawn and detailed plan on how to get to a "TruGreen Lawn". Sometimes my lawn looks no better than my neighbor's lawn and sometimes my lawn looks full of weeds.

Each year the lawn looks better and better! Looking forward to next year. Having TruGreen do the work gives me more free time to do other things. My lawn is almost weed free and a lush green... During Spring, the comeback from winter is pretty quick!

I'm not happy with my grass but I do not blame it on the people who are doing their job. The Technicians are fine. It's always brown with weeds and I'm tired of being told it gets too much water or it doesn't get enough water. I pay what I consider a lot of money for TruGreen to make my lawn True Green and it hasn't happened yet.

I had a contract with TruGreen a year ago. I was sure that when the contract came to a close I would've been notified. I was not, I find that unacceptable. I then received a bill from TruGreen, which is significantly higher than if I had a contract! What happened to the common courtesy to the customer?!

I wanted this to be a good experience, and I have been a lot more patient than my wife who is always on the phone with complaints to them. I signed up and paid in advance around the beginning of March 2017. I did not hear a word from them until almost the end of April. I know if you do not get crabgrass anti-emergent down before the grass starts to sprout, it's worthless to apply it. I was scheduled no less than 4 times, and each time was a no show. After many calls, we were scheduled again, and it was dinner time and no TruGreen. The wife got on the phone, and they had some guy working in Maryland stop by and do the first application of weed control and anti-emergent. Lawn turned a decent green, but the weeds still came in as did the crabgrass. We called for an extra treatment and they said someone would be out.

I am very pleased with the service, my lawn has never looked so good, no weeds or dandelions at all and so very thick. Very Happy! I will definitely use them again and will tell all my friends and family about them. Very affordable for such great quality.

I have been called more than three times by TruGreen asking if I want mosquito treatment. I said that I did not. I have had information about TruGreen left in my door and had the same information mailed to me. It seems that you do not know who your customers are. If you want a true survey, then don't ask me to give you an 8/10.

The normal excellent job of coming in doing the job and commenting on the lawn conditions, giving a recommendation. I have told all my neighbors what a great job is done. My yard has been done for at least 5 yrs and looks better each year.

I have been a TruGreen customer for many years in two different homesites. Service has always been dependable, friendly and reliably effective. Notice of service calls is always given. Return visits are granted with a smile when necessary, and personal contact has always been courteous and genuinely interested in my needs.

Overall appearance: great. Still need attention to the mulch bed on the south side of the house. Backyard is the best it has ever looked. Technicians are timely, professional, and courteous. Business office is easy to work with. They are always amenable to call-backs.

I have found over time the specialists who work on my lawn and are professional and courteous. They always answer my questions if I have some at the time of application. Lawn is looking very good this summer. My trees and shrubs are also doing well.

I had two recent services; shrub treatment and lawn treatment. Both were excellent, with the techs following up with me when the services were completed, and the techs impressed me with their knowledge. And if you have a problem, just call them and they will fix it!

I recently submitted an online request for you to address crabgrass that I've noticed in my front lawn. A telephone response to my query was received in about 24 hours; I was told that you would take action on my request. I was satisfied with the quick response and promise of action.

It has been a very good service experience with TruGreen. I am very satisfied with the service. All the treatments have been good except for the yellow nutsedge. My lawn is free of weeds except for the yellow nutsedge. I hope that in the future that they will treat the nutsedge several times.

I have had TruGreen for 25 years and I'm most impressed with their commitment to service through engaged technicians that really seem to care about their customers expectations. I find that signing up for TruGreen Lawn Care was the best idea I have had for a long time. My grass is greener, thicker, and much nicer looking. Still have some weed issues but the technician and I talked about the current state of my lawn and what I can expect in the future. I called to talk to TruGreen about the weeds and a technician showed up a couple of days later and completely sprayed my lawn again. Now we have to wait and see. I have a bad case of "Creeping Charlie" or, ground vines and they are tough to kill. I expect TruGreen to continue working with me until my lawn is the show lawn I want.

I've used TruGreen before in TX with no issues. However, this was the second attempt to use Trugreen in Florida and again it did nothing as promised. Sales team came to my door and promised that within 2 months the St Augustine would start replacing the other grasses and weeds, and that the other grass would die off. None of this has occurred and nothing has changed at all, including weeds.

We pay TruGreen for lawn care which includes: aeration, lime, weed care. My complaint thus far is with the weed care. It doesn't look like the proper steps are being taking to assure my customer satisfaction. I just today spoke with a rep from TruGreen and she let me know they were out on July 24, 2017 for the weed care application, and maybe their records show they have been out but looking at my lawn I have a hard time believing this is true. I told my wife I can take care of the lawn myself, she was convinced I wouldn't have enough time to tend the lawn so against my word she has ordered the service. Last year I will admit my lawn looked better than the previous yrs but this year it seems we took 3 steps backwards and I'm very unsatisfied.

Last year I used him and they don't chemicals in my front yard and burned it severely. I had to pay to have it resodded and seeded however I thought I'd give another chance. This year my lawn has never looked so poor, full of weeds, full of clover. They don't come out when they make an appointment. They have a no-show, I've had 3 no shows. The driver was supposed to call me twice. I've had no phone calls from no driver. A company management was supposed to call me back. I've got no call back from no management. It's like they don't care so there's a lot of other good companies out there and I suggest to use one of them. They don't come when they're supposed to, they don't call back, they're rude when you call them and the quality of service has gone downhill.

Satisfied thus far and would recommend to all my friends. The grass has grown as expected and with all the rain it continuously grows to where it is required to mow at least twice a week if not more, and as you very well know Florida has that very dry period to where we get absolutely no rain. It takes very little to keep it maintained.

I have had a very good experience with TruGreen. The service is great, the billing is clear and the fertilizer/treatment plan is always easy to follow. Our lawn and shrubs look wonderful. In addition, the cost is very reasonable. I recommend TruGreen to anyone who wants to maintain their plantings and have a beautiful lawn as well.

Anthony did a great job treating my entire property and was very professional and courteous to talk to. He took his time making sure he covered everything. Since the treatment we have not seen hardly any mosquitoes in our yard. It was a pleasure speaking to him.

Rating my service experience with TruGreen and it has been a very good experience so far. I would recommend this company to others. Our lawn looks 100 times better than it did a year ago. The expense is worth it because we tried to do this ourselves and it was costly plus time consuming.

The tech was very courteous and knocked then explained what he would be doing that day. He completed his application and reported what he observed about my lawn's condition on the note he left on the door. He made sure my gate was closed and left a sign on the front lawn.

Happy with the lawn service, in all ways. TruGreen is to call the day before service, which isn't always done. I sometimes also receive an e-mail the day before the service, but by the time I see the e-mail, the service has already been performed. Due to weather and scheduling delays last fall and earlier this year, I'm still waiting for the partial reseeding of parts of my front lawn (scheduled for late September).

Since changing to TruGreen and its granular fertilizer, my lawn has prospered; the technicians are very helpful and friendly. My money is very well spent on TruGreen. My neighbors keep asking what is the secret to my healthy lawn. I reply "One Word... TruGreen!"

After 2 applications TruGreen had me scheduled twice and both times they didn't show. When I call to find out what happened it's like they don't know anything. It has been nearly 2 months since they have been to my House. If I didn't call numerous times, I don't know if they would ever had come back.

TRUGREEN service is excellent and very professional. Arrival is consistently on time. TRUGREEN always verifies at least the day that the appointment time will work. The yard gets what the yard needs. Reasonable prices. It's truly TruGreen! I highly recommend the service here in the Waco, Texas, area.

This service rep is always so courteous, rings the bell so I can know he is here and has had some helpful suggestions for my problems. He is friendly and always has a big smile just brightens my morning start of the day. All I can say is thanks Willie for helping to be that bright spot in my day.

During the last regular service; the lawn looked very green and healthy. With the hot and harsh summers in Florida, fighting with the bugs, and the rain we get each day, TruGreen makes sure to treat the lawn accordingly. We never see fungus or bugs in our yard!

I scheduled TruGreen to come to my home and perform lawn fertilization and weed control. The service was for two applications and they came when I wasn't home on both occasions. I think they come when you are at work so they can only place a sign in your yard then leave and charge you the fee. The signs read that the yard would green up and weeds start dying within a week, this never happened!!! I have to call someone else now because my lawn is being overtaken by weeds!!!

Customer service is great! The office notifies us when the Tech will arrive to service the lawn/shrubs. When he arrives he comes to the door to announce his arrival and answer questions. Best of all the proof is in the effect, namely a beautiful lawn and healthy plants.

The lawn care provided is very satisfactory. We used another lawn care company previously and they merged with TruGreen. We have found that the lawn care that they provide has helped to maintain the color and texture of our lawn. The communication has been excellent. We receive a phone call the day before telling us that our service and technician will be coming on the following day.

It's July/August timeframe and weeds are lovin it. My lawn specialist has done an exceptional job in containing the proliferation of unsightly weeds, including crabgrass. The kid is great. Unfortunately the weeds tend to win in this kind of intolerable heat.

The lawn care man that came out to take care of my lawn, I had a chance to talk to him as I was home at the time and he was able to answer many of the questions that I needed to know about my lawn. He was very helpful.

My lawn is the envy of the neighborhood. Recently your specialist noticed I had some nutsedge growing in my lawn and went out of his way to remove it. I recently asked another specialist what was wrong with my Azaleas. He turned over the leaf and showed the insects damaging the leaves. Told me the current spray application would remove the pests but that they will repeat the treatment again.

My most recent experience involved the TruGreen technician treating my lawn with Pest Control. The technician, Jerard **, did an excellent job of summarizing what he had done and what to expect from his treatment. His write up was very informative and easy for a lay person like myself to understand.

New to Florida, we struggled to get our lawn to grow. Trugreen left a flier on our door promising to help. The sales lady was very kind and promised me thick, green grass soon. After $300 of lawn service, our yard looks awful. The bare spots are twice as big as they were before. The grass is thin. When they came to aerate, they were in our yard less than 10 minutes. They spent very little time spraying the yard, but lots of time sitting in the trucks. The last straw was the rush job they did that left fertilizer burn stripes in my grass. When I called to complain, the same sales lady promised one of her field managers would call me the next day. Three days later, after I called leaving messages, I still received no call. We cancelled our service. Yesterday, at 6:55 in the morning, a truck pulls up and a man tells me he is here to service my lawn! I politely asked him to leave. Seriously, save yourself a lot of money and don't hire this group.

We are pleased with TruGreen largely because of our technician Jacob **. He takes the time to visit with us explaining what he is doing and answering questions. We wish our lawn looked better but each season it improves.

Have been long-time customer -- very satisfied. Especially when there's a problem -- like now. I'm having some very troublesome weeds in one section of my yard. Tech Tory ** applied regular and extra treatment on 8/03/17 and recommended a second in few weeks. Tech Kerry ** applied another treatment on 8/08/17. Hopefully, these will cure my weed problem. Hopefully!!! If not, I'll call back!!!

I have been using TruGreen lawn and shrub care for several years now and my lawn looks better every year along with my healthy shrubs. I am very pleased with good results. TruGreen specialists are very courteous and knowledgeable about lawn and shrub care.

My neighbor, Jeff **, just because he was never pushy, but would advise me regarding my lawn, is the reason that I choose TruGreen. Even after another employee administers my applications, Jeff will come over and check and even report to the employee areas that might need additional application. Jeff is the entire reason why I choose TruGreen.

I was told I would have a mosquito treatment done, when I got home it was not. Called up CSR. They had the tech call. He was nice and said he could not do it due to being under staffed (in which I was not notified by TruGreen prior - however tech was nice about it). He advised me to call into CSR in which I did and the lady had an attitude and said could not schedule me for another 5 days out. So even though it was not my fault I'd have to wait and even then that day was not guaranteed either yet they charged my card for service and refunded take 7-10 days to receive. I strongly advise NOT to use TruGreen!!

I have been more than satisfied with my service from TruGreen. My lawn was a mess when TruGreen began service on my lawn. It was full of weeds, crabgrass, bare spots with no grass and it looked terrible. Now, it looks lush, full, and green. One of the best looking lawns in my subdivision.

The tech was very informative on the status of my lawn and the impending treatment. He was very knowledgeable and personable and took time to talk with me. The results have been MUCH better this year than the past couple of years.

Recently, my two beautiful, mature (old) birch trees were scheduled for a merit injection for insect control. The technician was knowledgeable, friendly and answered any questions I had about the service call. I wanted to be certain that the quantity and quality of the injection were ample for both trees and following our discussion, was comfortable that the treatment was going to do what it was supposed to. He also informed me to be certain to water around the trees for a couple days if we didn't get any rain. I highly recommend TruGreen for any of the services they provide.

Very professional service. The customer is treated with the greatest respect. My lawn was dying, in fact I thought I would have to replace it. But, after a series of applications by TruGreen, the lawn has totally recovered to a rich lush green carpet.

We had TruGreen for the first time apply a treatment to our lawn 7/1/17, within a week we could see damage to the lawn. We called the company and the sales representative was there in a matter of hours after contact. She agreed that the application did indeed cause damage to our lawn and reported that to her superiors. Within a few days a company rep assessed the damage and asked us to wait a couple of weeks to see if the damaged grass would grow out all the time assuring us that he would "take care of all damage". It is now 8/8/17 and the damage has only increased, we have called repeatedly only to be told that we were on the schedule for a crew to repair the damage 8/7/17. They did not show up for the repair and have not returned calls.

I am a happy customer and the lawn is a result and the proof which makes me repeat your services. The lawn specialist is the best I have ever experienced. Our property is a premier property in the neighborhood and we are always recommending "TruGreen" to all of our neighbors both new and old.

My lawn looks great, and I have been receiving MANY compliments each and every year for the 3+ years I have been a customer! For the price, the number of treatments is amazing! I would highly recommend TruGreen! It is well worth the money spent! :)

They always respond well to our concerns and solve the problem. We have no complaints but praise for their lawn care. We always tell our friends and other home owners their charges are fair and reasonable. They notify us for the day of service.

Our lawn looks very good. We always get good service from our TruGreen technician. We look forward to our next service. The lawn looks consistently green, and there is no sign of yellow dandelions or other intrusive weeds. The technician always shows up on time.

My husband and I are seniors, and we have quite a large garden which includes flower beds and lawns. Until we hired TruGreen, our lawns were not in the best of shape, however, TruGreen staff has made our lawns look green and lush. Their staff on the phone and the technicians who come here are all so friendly and professional. The other thing I like is that this company gives senior discounts. One of their services too, is for instance, you think a bit more lawn seed is needed in a certain area, there is no quibbling, it is done. I am truly thankful for TruGreen and don't, for a minute, have anything bad to say about them... Or their staff. Wow guys, thank you.

I've always been greeted by the doorbell ringing. The specialist tells me his name, gives me the description of his service... Always with a smile!!! If ever, I've had any problems with the applications I will call or complete the survey. I was solicited by a door to door representative and just about through them out for doing so especially because years ago I had TruGreen/Chem Lawn and they started the downward spiral of my lawn. For some reason I allowed them to talk with me. At the time my lawn was a disaster and I was considering hiring a service. Cory (your rep) told me about the Chem lawn break with TruGreen so I decided to give you a chance which included 18 trays of plugs. That was approximately during March. Here we are in August and my lawn went from one of the worst to one of the best in my area. Not one plug died and the treatments worked and I couldn't be more pleased.

I am having some problem areas which have been addressed on a recall visit recently. Hopefully all will be resolved soon. This is all in the back yard. The front lawn is beautiful. The specialist that was here is very knowledgeable and polite. I would appreciate him to be my tech until this problem is resolved.

The Tru Green results have surpassed my many years of prior personal attempts with products from a big box store. Substantially less weed plants and bugs in my yard. All the dead brown spots have turned green. My neighbors have commented and they enjoy it almost as much as I do.

I received a phone call a day or two before telling me when the technician would be there. The notes left by the technician were informative and thorough. We planted new seed in an area which allowed weeds to grow. The tech let us know when to see these weeds disappear... And he was right!

Unlike my previous experience with lawn companies, TruGreen is well organized and completes business as advertised. I had new Zoysia sod put in 3/31/2017 and wanted to protect my investment by enrolling in TruHealth Lawn Plan. Unfortunately the application that they used was not meant for new sod and burned the 3.5 months later, the lawn looks terrible. I called to have someone look at it in person and their technician admitted that "who ever came out here and applied ** up" and explained they put down an application that is meant for mature grass. He took video and sent it to his manager. The supervisor called me to say that it was a wrong assessment and he was not going to be able to correct the problem because they currently do not have a GM to make the final call. They are the experts in this field not me. And them not having a GM is not my problem. In my opinion just an extremely poor way to handle the entire situation.

I am writing a review of your services. Overall, I am quite satisfied. My lawn was overrun with weeds, and the little grass I had was yellow and brown, as much as I watered. Since the services, my lawn is rid of weeds, and is lush and green. I like that when there were continued challenges with the weeds at the beginning, I could call and request another service call. The specialist, Jaime ** is professional and courteous. I would highly recommend this service. Pricing is steep, but the quality service I receive outweighs it.

Our lawn was horrible two years ago when we remodeled this property. It is absolutely gorgeous once TruGreen took over. Plus we couldn't go in the yard for mosquitoes. We had TruGreen treat and we have not seen the first one since. Our neighbor has seen snakes in her yard but we have not - thank goodness!

This is my first summer of using TruGreen lawn care service, and it will be my last! For the past three applications, I have asked a customer service rep to give me a courtesy call on the day of the application, and they have yet to place a call to me. On follow up calls, all I get is, "Sorry ma'am, I will put it in the notes" and there is no follow through. I talked live with a manager today to voice my concerns, and he had the audacity to actually offer an additional service (more money). How dare him offer more when I haven't even gotten what I asked for. TERRIBLE SERVICE!

The service is improving the look and feel of our lawn. Some changes happen within a day or two, but the biggest results were noticed the second year with TruGreen. If I need to have an additional service, it's quick and easy to request a second visit.

I am pleased with the results so far with my lawn. It is free of weeds and it is very full and strong. The specialist has been excellent in explaining what he was applying and what effect it would have on the lawn so I knew what to expect. Just recently I called because I started noticing some ground ivy growing in the rear of my yard and I placed a call to the office to report it. And they told me it would be 2 to 3 business days till he would be able to come out but my specialist was there the next day and took care of the problem. I just hope that your pricing stays consistent because I am retired and on a fixed income.

Our technician, Abdius **, is amazing! He is punctual, polite, and professional. He always communicates with us each time he visits and relays specific information regarding the treatment he has performed. In addition, since he started treating our yard four months ago, he has given us helpful hints which have helped bring yard pitiful looking grass back to its former beauty. We have tried other companies but have not had the same outcome.

I believe TruGreen has been the best of the lawn companies I've tried over the last 4 years. My yard looks better than ever. My only problem has been the dreaded nutsedge, but I asked and received a special treatment for that. The technician always leaves comments as to what he did, together with any tips he might have.

Very disappointed with my lawn. I happened to be home one day when the guy showed up and he didn't treat the sides of my property or the back of the house. Would not recommend. You need to be home to see if they do treat all the land.

The appearance of my lawn tell the tale. I am constantly complimented on my lawn which looks like a park with the trees and shrubs. The specialists come and go with no effort on my part and do their job to take good care of my growing things. Whenever I encounter any specialist, they're like old friends. They are smiling and have a friendly word to say. They do a great job and the result is well worth the cost. Mowing and trimming is a pleasure for me, when I can take such pride in my lawn.

Don't use this service. Over promise on program and don't come close to delivering. Whole organization untrained for a lousy product. I use Danbury CT and going to another vendor. At a social event yesterday in Westport, CT and met guy who mentioned lawncare and relayed terrible experience with "Lawn Care." He just cancelled contract and just went to another vendor.

Longtime Customer Satisfaction: I have had TruGreen service my lawn since before I lived at the house. My Grandmother used TruGreen there when she still lived there and when I moved in after she died, I kept the service. She was always impressed with the quality of the lawn and the thoroughness of the technicians.

I wasn't here when the last treatment was done. However when I am here the service tech always checks in with me before and after the treatment and offers suggestions to improve my lawn care. I like it when do not have to be present in order to receive the application. The service techs are always informative, polite and professional and we receive quality treatment.

Proper posting: Although I have no complaints about the service, I have asked in the past for the chemical's applied signs to be posted on the main road Tiverton. Front of the house rather than on the interior of the lawn. My liability is on the road side of my property.

I would NOT recommend TruGreen Lawn Service to anyone. I gave instructions about how I wanted their service and three times didn't follow them. Specifically, I told them to only treat the front lawn, but they treated the whole lawn. I have dogs that go out the back, so I didn't want this part treated. When I canceled their service, they said they would not refund me for this treatment. They said they would only refund me the treatments I paid for in advance. I have not seen this refund yet and it's been well over 30 days. I have to keep calling them and "Rosie" doesn't offer me any help. She says the refund request went "off the billing" and it's out of her hands. She gives me the broken record routine and doesn't address this personally. This company doesn't communicate within. Be careful! If you are dealing with this company, pay them after the treatment.

I have been a TruGreen customer for some time. I just wish they would give my yard man adequate time to complete the service. They are always in a rush and don't have time to talk. My lawn looks great though.

I have been a customer of TruGreen for many years but 5 years ago my lawn was needing some work. I have never had an issue with the specialists and they are always professional and courteous. My lawn now is finally looking great for the true maintenance I have received. If I have any issues they do not hesitate to come and assist. Generally I have appreciated the service. My lawn is generally weed free and looked very good until stressful hot weather arrived in Durham. I have little or no confidence in my/your technician. I have areas of lawn that are totally dead that usually do not get that way. I suspect he over treated these areas with weed killer as they are where you might turn around a spreader or come to the end the line with a liquid application. Also I have decorative plants that have had significant die back or shriveled leaves which I believe are due to weed killer sprayed on them. Also I asked him about brown patch and he pointed to an area (about 2X a football) I know that was killed by dog pee and said "That looks like brown patch to me." I would prefer to have a new/different technician for future treatments. Thank you.

Specialist Dennis talked to me before starting job. Explained what he was going to do and why. Asked if I had any concerns. Very professional and pleasant to converse with. TruGreen is doing a great job in keeping our lawn looking good.

I am extremely satisfied with TruGreen's services. I have tried my own lawn maintenance, to no avail. TruGreen was able to correct my issues in a faster than expected timeframe. I would recommend to anyone looking for a lawn care company.

I am not hesitant to praise TRUGREEN and the technicians who treat my lawn. They maintain the lawn maintenance schedule and fully inform me as to the treatment provided along with areas that need attention.- especially regarding excessive watering. I highly recommend the yearly contract program as it assures consistent, reliable service which prevents major problems from developing. Like they say: "A weed killed in time prevents nine."

Our account was cancelled, they still came today to service the lawn for grubs. We did not request this service, and have been charged for it. When I called to inquire about the service, we were told you have to line item request cancellation of any lawn services provided. Thus, even though we believed the account was cancelled (especially since not one had come by all season) they still showed up. The service tech DID NOT attempt to contact us before he treated the lawn, or we would have told him not to do it. While the account is now closed, I still have to pay for today's services-- that I did not request. Highly dissatisfied with the service-- which is why we had thought we had closed service.

They claim scheduling problems. They put pre-emergence on my lawn 5/26 which burnt it out. I have more weeds than ever. I had Scotts previously and they took over Scotts and in no way, shape or form can they perform Scotts' service. I had to cancel and they said they would take care of me to keep me on board. They never return calls or showed up for appt. They reimbursed only partial of my whole yr contract, that after destroying my lawn. My neighbors have cancelled and one neighbor will also probably do so. His lawn is loaded with nut weed and TruGreen has not corrected the problem. Look for someone who knows how to take care of lawns and save your money.

The specialist rang our doorbell and explained that he was going to treat our lawn. After he finished he left a marker in the lawn that it was treated and to delay activity for a day. Our lawn is almost weed free and green. The neighbor across the street remarked that our lawn looked better than his. I recommended that he call your company. He did call and now is satisfied with his lawn.

This is our first time using TruGreen Lawn Care Service. So far, it has been a positive experience and I can see definite improvement in my lawn. Have recently begun to experience the usual summer heat related weed and crabgrass issues. Contacted TruGreen, and they scheduled an additional weed control treatment application within a few days. I was personally contacted by the regional manager to ensure me that the weed issue had been prioritized and was being addressed. Great service and follow up.
