Our lawn looks beautiful and we receive compliments about its appearance throughout the summer. Our lawn is more than just grass, it's our play arena with our two energetic children (ages 8 & 10). Over the course of the summer our lawn is exposed to neighborhood play of baseball, soccer, golf, Frisbee, and outdoor gatherings. Our lawn holds up to the most active play and continues to look great on a daily basis. The appearance of my lawn has never been better than it is right now. It's the deepest green I have ever seen, it is because of the timeliness of the lawn care applications and the specific instructions from my TruGreen specialist. My TruGreen specialist has a very special gift of friendliness and professionalism, his expertise has exceeded my greatest expectations for my lawn. If he isn't satisfied with the results of his work, then I don't know who else could do a better job. The quality of his work ethic deserves the highest praise of "Job Well Done"! Our lawn tech stops to see if we are home and asks how are things going and also lets us know what application he is doing and to let us know to keep the dog off the lawn for a few hours. He is always pleasant and informative and we are very pleased with our lawn for the past 2 years we have been using TruGreen. This is the first lawn company that can keep my lawn weed free and green. We moved into this house at the end of May 2015. The previous owners appeared to have done little or no lawn maintenance for quite some time. The yard was overflowing with clover and various other weeds and choking the life out of the grass. We have had good results with TruGreen in the past so we decided to use your services at our new house. Over the course of the past 4 months, we have seen a vast improvement in the lawn! The technicians who tended our yard have done an excellent job of eradicating the majority of the weeds and keeping them under control. A couple of weeks ago we aerated and over-seeded and with proper watering we are seeing new grass coming up in spots previously overrun with weeds. I believe that, with the help of TruGreen, we have laid the foundation for a beautiful yard next spring!

We contracted for Trugreen total lawn care this past Spring. We were initially pleased with the treatments and the results. But, we noticed the communication between the service technician and the local office was very poor. Just about all information we discussed with the service technician was either missing or mixed up when it got to the local office. We've also only received calls in advance of treatments about 50% of the time. So, we never know when they are coming or why they are there.
I also purchased a core aeration and seeding service in August and paid for it in advance. Almost two months later, we have still not received the treatment and one time they showed up, unannounced at our front door, even though the instructions were to come out and mark the property with flags where the wiring for landscape lights is buried. The second time they were scheduled to come out, the machine had broken. Since then, one and a half weeks later, no call to reschedule. And, the order was wrong. It said they were only aerating and seeding the front and side yard! Why would anyone do only part of their yard? They corrected the mistake, but still haven't scheduled the treatment. There may be snow on the ground before our lawn is aerated!

That is until my dog started getting bacterial infections on his skin. OK, so I decided to not allow my dog on the grass for more than the "24 hours"--the new technician stated. His conditions got even worse. So much worse that I discontinued any further applications back in early August. He's much better now.
They took two separate payments for the same application and after finally getting that straightened out, they were NO SHOWS for TWO different application dates for the service (Both of which I took days off from work to give them access to my yard). When I called TruGreen to find out what was the problem, the rep told me, they didn't even have me in their system! WTF? TruGreen gets a THUMBS DOWN from me and I will NEVER refer them to anyone. I'm better off going back to SCOTTS or better yet, doing it myself!
Derek, I'm very sorry for the health concern your dog experienced while you were a customer of ours. I absolutely understand why you would want to suspend your services to better pinpoint what caused the bacterial infections. I used TruGreen for the last 3 years, and the first year was great, last year was so and this year an absolute nightmare. They are great at promising the moon, but short on delivery. Not one application they did was done correctly, had to get them out twice for everything, and their great tree and shrub service killed two of my shrubs. A certified local professional told and showed me this, not one of their supposed experts. He equated the method they use on shrub and tree applications as watering indoor house plants with a garden hose. And he also pointed out to me that they allocate a certain number of minutes for application for your property, and nothing more. They won't tell you this, but it is a common known fact in the industry for from what my friend told me. But they will start hounding you for payment within 48 hours of the application having been done with emails, and invoices.
Almost as if they are getting ready to go under if you don't pay now. And forget calling customer service. They are more concerned with selling you additional services that are insanely overpriced. For example lawn aeration, I was quoted $165.00 and if you walk behind your mower wearing golf shoes once or twice, you will accomplish this for absolutely free. I repeatedly spoke by phone with a supposed 'manager' of the local office, who only came out once, and never again, proving it is all about money and not quality of work. I have started caring for my yard myself, and can obtain products very reasonably at Home Depot, and not pay inflated prices for sub-par work. And my yard actually looks better based on what others have told me that have seen it. Shop carefully before you sign with this company. Maybe it is different state by state, but in N.J. they are horrid.
Hi Bruce - thank you for making us aware of these issues, and I want to apologize that our service did not meet your needs during the past year. I've located and reviewed your account history thoroughly. We treated your trees and shrubs on 6/22 and again on 8/5 due to the spider mites present. Our records show that you contacted us on 10/5 to share your dissatisfaction with two of your shrubs dying. We did offer to involve the field supervisor and evaluate what ultimately caused your shrubbery to die. Typically, if our products contribute to the decline of plants, the results can be noticed almost immediately. If we assumed responsibility for the deterioration of your shrubs, we would have replaced them for you per our guarantee. Unfortunately, we received an email communication from you on 10/6 that stated you wished to terminate your services and that you did not want anyone from TruGreen on your property. I also want to clear up any misinformation you may have received regarding payment for services. I apologize if you felt that our attempts were hounding, but we leave a service summary on the front door of the property after each visit or service rendered. We also submit emails to our customers to inform them that a service has been completed (in case a homeowner is out of town or allowing tenants to occupy the home), and we mail out invoices between 5-7 days after a service has been performed. On another note, TruGreen trains lawn professionals to treat up to 1,000 square feet per minute because of the concentration of the products used. Of course, this information varies while treating plants depending on the service, product, and number of shrubs/trees on the property. We do hate to have lost you as a customer, and we wish you the best in achieving the results you desire. Thank you for your time and past business. - Victoria

Lawn always looks the best it can considering the lack of rainfall during the summer. Best price around. Will come out and spot treat any weeds or problem areas in the lawn. Get an automated phone call a few days before scheduled service and will change the service date if needed.

I always have the same person that services my lawn and his name is Charlie. Charlie always does a great job and makes sure he speaks with me before he applies the application so he knows of any concerns before he starts. This summer was a very dry and I have a well so I couldn't water as much as I wanted but overall the lawn looks good. I am very pleased with the amount of money I have spent and the overall people that I have spoke to over the years at TruGreen. I have tried three different lawn service companies over the 18 years at my house and I am going to stay with TruGreen.

My lawn has always looked great as long as TruGreen has been taking care of it. They are timely and always leave their call, letter and notes about the status of my lawn. My only complaint is that we have ask that they knock or call before starting treatment since we have 3 dogs and they could be in the yard when they begin treatment, but so far, no calls and no knock on the door prior to starting the lawn treatment.

I have many more weeds, mostly ground ivy and clover growing in my yard since TruGreen started to care for lawn. They proposelly sprayed for these weeds. But either, they did not spray well enough or do not know what they are doing. The other day, they came to oversee my yard. They seeded my flower beds and in between my bricks of my deck instead of the lawn where grass is supposed to grow, which never got seeded or got hit and miss seeded. Never ever use again. EVER!!! The only thing that they did make disappear is my money that I paid them. Be warn, if they call you to get your best sinews, hang up and block their number because what they promise you is not what they deliver.
Mariam, I'm very sorry that your lawn continues to have weeds. I can understand how that would cause you frustration, especially when you prepaid for your services in advance. I did attempt to contact you to discuss if this was an ongoing issue, but I was unable to reach you. I reviewed your account, and our records do not show that you contacted us to share that weeds were still present between your TruGreen visits. If we were made aware of this, we would have offered a free re-service to treat those annoying weeds once again. I see that we performed your aeration/seeding and your routine lawn service in mid-September. I'm very sorry if your lawn professional placed the seeding in the wrong areas of your turf, but we did not apply herbicides to your lawn during this time due to the developing grass seedlings. Called TruGreen to service my pine trees this spring because they were turning a little brown on the bottom and I wanted to make sure they were taken care of so they did not die. I figured a professional would be the best way to take care of them. When I contracted with TruGreen they informed me that I would see a difference in my trees within two weeks. After the first service by TruGreen I called them after 2 weeks that I had not seen a difference in the trees. They send a representative over and she was extremely rude to me and I told her to left. They sent someone else over and he was nicer. He looked at the trees and resprayed them and said I should be seeing a difference soon. They continued to treat the trees. I kept telling them they are not getting better and now it is 3 to 4 months that they have been servicing my trees and they are all brown up to 8 feet high. One is even looks dead. They made my trees worse not better.
I have called them several times to inform them. Called today to speak to a manager and there is no manager only staff and they will call me back within 48 hours. I am so upset and disappointment in this company. I will never recommend them to anyone.

You continue to spell my name incorrectly and your customer service people have told me 3 times you will change it but you have failed to do so. Your lawn technician was GREAT but your CUSTOMER SERVICE is TERRIBLE. At least spell my name correctly. It seems as if your customer service is only interested in continually sending me email marketing pieces and not actually correcting my account info. A good experience. Perfect Service. Installed my heat pump and has performed maintenance twice a year since it was installed. We have not had a problem since its installation. Every technician who has performed the semi-annual maintenance have been very knowledgeable and efficient.

Both my lawn and shrub service guys are doing a good job and providing good advice; however, recently I received voicemail notification that tree & shrub service was coming out for a treatment and they never showed up or didn't leave a service ticket.

The technicians have made my yard look 300% better than it did last year, (which was serviced by a different company) they have always listened to what my concerns are. When you call in for a service call, a technician is at our house within 2 days to get rid of the unwanted weeds that appear between scheduled applications. I would say that after two seasons of treatment, our lawn is definitely in better condition in general. We had so many weeds even though my husband would put down weed and feed. Now we have none or very few. During the spring and early summer season, people noticed our lawn and commented on the improvement. One neighbor even began using TruGreen because he observed a big improvement. I would like TruGreen to help us concentrate on a few areas of bare spots and to tell me how to get those areas growing well. I would also like them to tell me how often we should water during the summer so I can keep the lawn looking great throughout the whole season, avoiding brown/dead areas. I feel we started out great and then kind of fizzled around late July. I hope this is helpful.

I call TruGreen I believe 9/5/2015 because I was having a problem with bugs in my yard. I spoke to a male which explained everything that the company had, which was good. He was very knowledgeable. So at the end of the conversation he wanted to send people out to my home to start this lengthy progress helping my lawn I think it would have cost over $1,000. But I told him okay but to call me back on Monday to see where I stand. On Monday I said I just wanted the BUG CONTROL when he called me. The total cost $89.00.
TruGreen called me everyday to confirm they were coming out but I thought they were coming to do BUG CONTROL and that was not the case. When I got a bill it was for $222.00 for a process that I never asked for. To this day I do not know what I paid for and I never got the BUG CONTROL for my lawn. It was poor service because they never listen to what I said. I told them BUG CONTROL only. From the first conversation I never told him to go ahead and do whatever process he did for my lawn and then they want me to pay another 37.00 for something they put on my lawn that I did not ask for. Be careful what you say to them because they never play back the hold conversation when you dispute the charges. It was poor service messed up communication and they went with their own plans for my lawn and I have a small yard.

I was able to locate your account based on the information provided, and I have thoroughly reviewed our records on your customer profile. Our lawn professionals were unable to provide your pest service as your service agreement was terminated before we had the opportunity.On 9/8, I see that you contacted us and expressed your concern for the services active. Our representative explained that we would examine the call to compare the services you originally agreed to versus the active agreements on your account. Our findings show that you did agree to our TruShield Pest Control program, Horticulture program, and TruComplete Lawn program. On 8/21, our records show that you contacted us after your first service and asked for a free service call specifically for us to re-apply fertilizer and weed control, and on 8/28, we contacted you in reference to your aeration/seeding service included in your TruComplete plan and verified whether or not your property had a sprinkler irrigation system or an invisible dog fence. On 9/4, we were on your property to complete your aeration/seeding ($169.10) and your horticulture treatment ($53.12) for your shrubbery. These services total the balance due of $222.22. I'm unsure if or why you were told that you would need to pay an additional $37.00, and I apologize for that miscommunication. As we were performing your services, you initially agreed to EasyPay for automatic deductions from your credit card. For being a new customer, we provided your first lawn application on 8/21 for $29.95+tax, and unfortunately, your payment declined. Due to your dissatisfaction, we previously agreed to credit your account for half of your lawn service since you did receive the benefits of our products. The remaining half is now past due, and I will remove that balance today. All collection attempts should cease within the next couple of weeks. I did attempt to contact you directly and share this information with you, but my attempts were unsuccessful. I started service with TruGreen in May. I had very mild brown spots on my cedar trees. The tech said I had fungus. As it turns out, I had bagworms, a very common issue, but TruGreen did NOT treat for bagworms. When my trees got much worse weeks after their service I called them again. By now the trees looked much worse and were fully infested. Again the wrong product was used which does not target bagworms. My trees died as a direct result of TruGreen's negligence. They will not replace my 2 trees, they lied, they would. It take responsibility, and now they have stopped responding to me. They are ignoring me. This is a terrible company with horrible customer service.
The lawn care is no better. I have large brown spots on my lawn, either from brown patch, or from fertilizer burning the grass. I have called them to come back to remedy this, and they return, but there is no improvements. Their products are subpar, and techs are inexperienced. Either way, under TruGreen's care I have the worst lawn on the block, and dead trees that had been here for 11 years. PLEASE BEWARE AND STAY AWAY FROM TRUGREEN OR YOUR LAWN AND TREES WILL BE A TRUE BROWN!

I have had TruGreen spraying for insects. I discontinued fertilization several years ago. 2 years TruGreen gave me fertilizer instead of spraying for insects. I called and it was rectified to my satisfaction. This week TruGreen did the fertilizer instead of the insects again. I called and was told I had to pay for the fertilizer but the insect spraying would not be charged. I stated I wanted services discontinued after bug spraying. TruGreen said they would not send anyone out to do the bug spraying since I would discontinue service. I am very unhappy with the answer. I want the bug spraying done at no charge and services terminated since TruGreen has messed up twice.

Shazia, I'm very sorry for the troubles that we have caused you with your TruComplete Lawn Plan. I believe I was able to speak with you via Twitter and over the phone on 9/21 regarding your concerns. Our records show that your TruComplete program included six fertilizer/weed control treatments, one grub preventative, and one aeration/overseeding. We received a call from you on 9/10 after we performed your aeration service, and you explained that you did not authorize this service to be performed on your property. At that point, we offered to investigate the call for quality assurance. On 9/11, our findings show that you did agree to all of the applications included in your service agreement. Since you did receive the results of the aeration/overseeding, we offered to split the balance due from that service, and I see that we received your payment for the remaining half on 10/19. We hate to have lost your valued business, and I hope that this information was able to alleviate any possible concerns regarding your experience with TruGreen. Thank you for your time. - Victoria

After the application of weed and feed, we were hit with an abnormal amount of rainfall which may have leeched the treatment into the soil rather that have had the roots absorb the product. We shall see after a week or so to evaluate the application and perhaps may need another dose of the chemical to be effective.

September of last year I paid for an entire year of service in advance along with aeration. The weeds have never gone away despite having to return on more than one occasion after complaining. I called last week to ensure my service was cancelled after getting a bill and was told it would be taken care of and the upcoming scheduled service would be fulfilled at no charge. I was clear that in no way was I authorizing this to be a continuation of service. Now I received another bill and when I called they stated that I should have read the back of my statements. UGGGG!!! The Reason I Pay Everything A Year In Advance Is So I DON'T have To Read My Mail... Rep on the phone at branch #5065 was less than empathetic and kept reciting the policy!!!

Depending on the species and resistance, it may take several applications to successfully remove annoying weeds. This is one of the benefits of our warranted services as we would hate for our customers to continue paying for treatments without receiving the desired results. I've thoroughly reviewed your account, and I do see that you prepaid for your lawn and horticulture services in September 2014. Our records also show that you initiated an annual Potassium treatment in December 2014 which was not included with your earlier prepayment. I see you contacted us in July regarding the broadleaf weeds present within your lawn. As part of our Healthy Lawn Guarantee, we completed a free re-service specifically to treat those problematic areas for you. Although weed control is included in each of your lawn services, it is ultimately your responsibility to notify us 7-10 days after a rendered service if the weeds remain. On 9/8, it appears that you contacted us and expressed your confusion regarding the invoices you had received. We informed you that your prepay credit had been used up and that our services continue from year to year unless we are otherwise notified. At that point, I understand that you asked to cancel your services, and we did offer a discount due to the lack of results to which you agreed to resume. We were again contacted by you on 9/18 to terminate your services with us, and as a gesture of good customer service and your dissatisfaction, we did remove the past due balance of $143.00 for one lawn treatment, one Potassium treatment, and one horticulture treatment. Your services with us are cancelled at this time. We hate to have lost you as a customer, but please let us know if there is anything else we can assist you with in the future. - Victoria

The service technician always informs me personally of what needs to be done, seems to know about lawn versus being a salesman. Seems to care about job and wants to improve the overall appearance of property. If there is an issue a simple phone call corrects the issue within a week!

Last fall Trugreen Chemlawn contacted me and promised if I signed up for a year of service they would make my lawn lush and green. It had several bare spots in the backyard that I could not get rid of. I signed up for the year of service but my lawn never looked any better than when I did all the care myself. I even replaced some of the grass with sod but it did not stay green and lush. My contract ran out and last week someone came to my home and sprayed the yard again. I was billed $45.00 for the service as I did not realize my contract was over. 2 Days later my grass started to turn brown in many places and now that grass is all dead and crispy. I believe it was too hot to apply the product. They should know this. I contacted them twice but never received a response either time. There is no customer service with this customer and they have lost my business forever.

I have been a customer for at least 3 years now. After looking at the quality of the work that TruGreen does, I am very satisfied. I have fought dandelions on my lawn, the neighbor's lawn and so on. I do not think my serviceman finished the job as I forgot to leave the back gate open. I was not home, but my daughter was and she said no one rang the doorbell to ask us to open the gate. So please send him back to do my backyard or take it off my bill. Thank you.

For 3 years TruGreen has been telling me that they could get rid of my wild violets. They are as bad now as they were 3 years ago. Thousand dollars, I am still where I was.

When I signed up for the service they told me they will tailor a treatment for my lawn once a month, and they do come once a month, do the same service and leave while at the same time charge my account for 60.00/mo. Well that's the only thing they accurately do as for as long as I had the service my lawn never looked worst. I had the crappiest looking lawn the entire summer and it's only when I call them back to kill the weeds that they come and spray but 4 days later the weeds are back!!
Note that they only spray the weeds when I call; Yes they would be doing the typical maintenance and stepping over the weeds but there is no common sense to say "Oh well there is a ton of weeds in this property. I will make a decision to go ahead and spray so the customer doesn't get upset." NO, that doesn't happen. The guy can walk over my lawn which is full of weeds and not spray other than just the typical maintenance - no common sense.

I originally reported a chinch bug problem in my backyard lawn when it was present in 10% of my lawn. TruGreen service my lawn to treat the problem but it was not successful. They continue to service my lawn to control weeds, but the chinch bug issue continue to expand. They came back and treat it one more time, by now more than 60% of my backyard lawn is dead due to this problem. I had also agree to hired them to maintain my sprinkle system. There is an issue with my initial bill where I believe I have been overcharge, based on my original agreement. My biggest concern is that I had ask customer service via telephone to have a manager call me back and they haven't. I decided to email them, twice now, and still no contact from them. I have been a customer for many years, but I feel like they don't care about my business anymore.

The TruGreen specialists are friendly and professional and have maintained a consistent performance this year, creating a healthy lawn with few weeds. They schedule the applications and take care of my lawn and shrubbery fertilization, weed and insect control without me having to constantly monitor their work. As a TruGreen consumer for over 30 years, our lawn continues to look great. When weeds do begin to appear in the summer months due to dry conditions, TruGreen finds a way to rid our lawn so that in the late fall and spring, there are no weeds visible.

I want to start by saying I have never written a complaint about any company before but this has me so incredibly upset I felt the need to do so. We signed up for lawn care service this summer at our new home. We were on the fence because of some bad reviews but thought we would give it a try. Service hasn't been great. They have been unable to answer questions about our lawn and I'm not entirely sure we received all of the treatments for which we were billed. All of that said, today a gentleman called saying he had done our fall inspection this morning and that we had some issues with our trees/shrubs. Obviously this was to sell us additional treatments. Funny thing is he was not here today! When pressed he indicated that he rang our doorbell between 9 and 10 today.
Well folks, I worked from home today. My home office is five feet from my front door and I can see outside from my office windows. And even if I was lost in my thoughts I assure you my two large dogs with very loud barks would not have missed the doorbell ringing...they HATE it! I have lost all faith in this company. I am feeling scammed. When my contract is up, I will most certainly not be renewing it.

I am overseas, and I will never trust anyone to have my bank card info that walks up to my house. The contract that was signed and price that was given was not honored. They charged me over 69.99 dollars per treatment, and they said one thing and did another. They charge way more than they stated on the contract. I will never trust them, and simple email would have prevented this but they never answered any emails with the questions that I had. Dirtbags.

My lawn care plan includes notifying me ahead. They call via an automated system usually 1 day ahead. Issues are: 1) They never answer the call back number 866-596-5276. 2) When I leave my phone number for them to call me back - they never do. 3) Also, on many occasions (last year too) the automated system calls, but no one ever comes. No sign in yard or paperwork on the door - when I do get thru they argue with me that they did come. No one has ever answered and they don't know how to escalate issues up the chain of command. So nothing gets properly addressed.

I have used TruGreen tree and shrub service for many years. I have had some tree lost over the years, but assumed it might have been age. TruGreen technician always shrugged it off. TruGreen provided the last tree and shrub service a few weeks ago. Two weeks later I had a major issue with scales on my Euonymus shrubs. Several died and all are infected.
I contacted the TruGreen technician. He came a couple of more times to treat. I continued to lose shrubs. I escalated to the local customer service. The local office came to look at it. Over two weeks later, no followup from the local office. I escalated to corporate. No followup from them. I have spent thousands of dollars with TruGreen. Appears they are happy to take your money, but when significant issues occur, they disappear. On their lawn service, I tried them before, but cancelled them because of poor results. This point, I would highly recommend not using TruGreen for any service.

After re-mediating my entire lawn by killing it, tilling it under and treating the soil and planting a new lawn, I decided to go with a lawn service to ensure a healthy, weed-free lawn. We've suffered violets which are very difficult to kill offer. I prepaid $712.12 for the 2015 season and work from home, but I can't always hear the bell and have no windows from my home office. There was not consultation or soil tests performed as their sales pitch and marketing materials indicated. I spoke to the gentlemen on the first visit and he said they spray the same things on every lawn. I know the first two visits they applied chemicals to my lawn. But after that, I only noticed door tags. Then, the broadleaf weeds emerged and took over my entire lawn! I have receipts for broadleaf weed killer treatments, but nothing but broadleaf weeds to show for it, and I did not have these before.
Then a new serviceman appeared and told me the old one had been let go. This was right after the news story broke that these lawn services are not actually treating the lawns! He told me to call in and have supplemental weed treatments applied. My new lawn is destroyed, the supplemental treatments are not helping. This service it a total scam. It's unbelievable what businesses can get away with -- if it weren't for people's security cameras catching them in the act, nobody would have realized what they've been doing. Don't waste your money, cancel the service and pass them over. The only solution is to put them out of business.

If they ring the doorbell and I don't answer, they assume I'm not at home. They'll leave the tag that they were there, but if I watch them, no work is actually done. They give me the ability to call the office 14 days post-service for a re-treatment, but the re-treatment cannot be performed for another 7 days after I call (minimum 21 days after your initial service). And again, unless I'm not there and watching them, the service is the same. If I call the office to complain and ask to speak to the supervisor, the receptionist will never connect me. She will instead give my phone number to the same technician that performed my initial service who will call me back and ask "what do you want, what's your problem?" Since I have traces of shade on my yard, the technician noted that my turf is not building due to shade - even though 95% of my lawn is in the sun.

Our lawn has improved immensely after several years of TruGreen service, including the basic service of fertilizer, weed fighting products, and spreading seed at least once a year. I have used the flowerbed and bush/tree service one year and am using the pest-fighting extra service this year and have noticed a great reduction in our ant population. You always notify us before you come and leave a paper saying what you did. We are very satisfied with your service and our lawn is the best in the neighborhood. I really have no complaints. I was very hesitant about starting the service but our lawn was so bad I knew I had to do something to keep up our resale value. I am glad I signed on with TruGreen.

I had a concern early this year of small prickly plants coming up in various areas of the property; you only treat one of the problem areas. In my last review, I mentioned that I'd spoken to 2 technicians about these plants, and no one had gotten back to me with an identification. It wasn't a week later that a man came by to see what I was concerned about. He determined that because blue spruce grow in our neighbor's yard that the plant is "a type" of spruce. Apparently, there is no way to be rid of it. I remain unconvinced. It usually comes up singly, but can be in clumps. It is green at first, but then turns brown. It looks nothing like spruce. I would like a picture of this "type of spruce". Additionally, I am disappointed that the broad-leaved weeds & Bermuda grass are not eradicated from our yard.

I been services with TruGreen in April 2015. After 2 treatments it was apparent that they had sprayed something other than oils on my trees and shrubs. It is now 4 months later. I have over 30 dead bushes and shrubs on my property, and my local Danbury CT branch has not responded to my inquiries or addressed my issue. Additionally they continued to service my property after multiple calls to customer service to cease applications and are now billing me for those treatments. I am at my wit's end and have not been able to get anyone on the phone that can assist me.

The technician, I think it was Joe, came by and said it is a fungus and will treat it when the rain stops. Apparently he treated it later that day and the fungus was gone! Amazing! I had asked him about a particular weed in my yard and he did not know the answer but he and I went to his truck to look the weed up in his big book of weeds. Using TruGreen has kept my lawn in great shape and full of color. Even with a mini drought, the lawn stays in great shape. I had bug problems over a year ago on trees and bushes but once TruGreen sprayed for the problem, the bushes and trees came back, filled out and are as strong as ever.

I called TruGreen last year because of bald spots in my lawn and I wanted the lawn seeded and lawn aeration just in front of my home not the back. They aerated and over seeded in the fall. In the spring my lawn was all brown after the snow melted. Not just brown but dead. No amount of raking or watering helped. I called and they never returned my call. I called them again and let them know I did not want their services any longer. I had to spread loam over my entire lawn and reseed myself. On August 5th I came home to find they had come and aerated my lawn again.. front yard AND back yard. I called the office and complained to a girl who answered the phone and was told a manager would call me within two business days. Still waiting for a call.

This is a very poorly organized company that promises the best lawn ever! I have always maintained my own, but now, as a sr. citizen, I needed some help. My lawn has never looked worse. They are very difficult to reach by phone, regardless of whether it is the local office or toll-free number. Today I was on hold 20 minutes and got disconnected; then another 35 minutes only to speak to an answering service.
My original set-up included a "free shrub and tree treatment" that they ended up charging me $54 and telling me the rep whom I spoke to was wrong. Also in my original set-up I was advised they would spray for lawn fungus at no extra charge -- now I am told they don't do that service. They did not do the pre-emergent in the spring when they fertilized, and then came back the next week to fertilize again, hence burning the lawn. A local rep came to the door to "analyse my lawn"...told me I had a lot of clover but didn't suggest doing anything about it. He suggested to always contact the local Yaphank office instead of the 800 number. Well, as stated above, it's almost impossible to reach them unless you have nothing to do! And the beat goes on. Do not use them.

My appointment was supposed to be next Monday. I had 2 visits this Monday. The first guy told me it was my fourth installment. Well I just got it and it was my first. I told him I was expecting someone to go over my yard with me, he said he was not told this. Later in the day someone rang our doorbell. Before we could get to the door we saw a TruGreen truck driving away. He left a statement in the mailbox that he had spread 277 pounds of lime. He wasn't there 20 minutes. Even the time stamp says this. We had just arrived home 30 minutes before and no TruGreen truck. No evidence at all of lime and there is no way he could have done this. So showed up on wrong date, no explanation of services or yard and a scam for lime service.

TruGreen was right on target with my last service as I was concerned with the "NUTGRASS" that had invaded my yard in the last few weeks. When I approached the technician about this, he informed me that that was what he was here to treat and advised me on how the whole region was having problems with this. He was also going to treat for other broadleaf weeds and would be back in about 10 days to re-treat. I am very pleased with the service and results I have had from TruGreen the past 2 years.
