If you are looking for a business that does not live up to their promises and customers service is considered a waste of time look no further - you have found it. I signed up for the TruComplete Lawn Plan which included Pre-Emergent & Targeted Weed Control and Fertilization and was quoted $422.95 for the reason One of the services that attracted me was the Healthy Lawn Guarantee in which they state "You'll love your lawn, guaranteed. We'll make any necessary adjustments to ensure your satisfaction."

I hired TruGreen to care for my lawn and expected them to provide the service I was paying for. I also expected them to be committed to making a good faith effort to resolve problems that may arise from customers. TruGreen's failure to respond to my complaint is my reason for writing this. I have been a TruGreen customer for 4 years. My complaint is based on damage to my property by a product used by a TruGreen technician.

TruGreen has performed in a professional manner. My yard is starting to look good the front yard not so much the back yard. Need lot of improvement in the back, but the front is starting to look good.

Every specialist who comes to our home is timely, knowledgeable, communicates very well, very friendly and always professional in every way. We feel like we are your only customer and matter to you very much.

The vendor was supposed to treat my property twice. The surveillance video on the first trial shows that they skipped eighty percent of the property. Today they skipped sixty percent of the front yard. I called and canceled. Very rude employee needs to take a customer service for dummies crash course. They want payment in full for the non complete portion and the non completion of what they didn't do. That is an interesting business plan!

I subscribed TruGreen services for the year 2014 and prepaid the whole amount. At the end of the year realized that their treatment did not work at all. I called and informed them that I do not want their service for the year 2015. They cancelled the service but kept on sending invoice of $57 without any explanation. I called frequently to request for waiving the charge because I did not subscribe any service. It is annoying that they not only kept sending invoices but also making courtesy calls frequently almost 2-4 times a week. I regret deeply for dealing with them and suggest everybody to stay away from them.

All of the Techs are friendly and very helpful. Are there when they say they will be there. They are concerned with the health of your lawn and strive to make it better.

We hired TruGreen in August of 2014 for our lawn, with an agreement that they would treat our lawn 7 months in the following year. Since that time, they have only treated 4 times (with July being the 4th time), our yard is still loaded with weeds and we have had to CALL THEM to get them to come out every time. For the July treatment, they decided to do two treatments (without telling us) and proceeded to charge our card double without our knowledge. I have since disputed the double charge with our bank and now they are telling us that if we don't agree to pay half of the double charge, they will send us to collections! TruGreen does not do what they advertise and then tries to play catch up when they fail! Very angry with the service we have received.

I have noticed that TruGreen has vastly improved their level of customer service over this past year. They are now more accurate when they call in advance and schedule a visit. They are more responsive in answering their customer telephone line. The service employees are knowledgeable about their business and generously offer advice during their visits. I am very glad they recognized their past shortcomings and are showing great improvements. Accordingly, I shall continue to use them for several of their services.

The past 13 years I have taken care of my lawn myself, but this year I decided to try a professional lawn care service. After 4 applications, my lawn looks like a dust bowl. It took me three call to TruGreen customer support to get a manager to come to my house to see for themselves and to ask what they can do to fix the problem. What I was told is that my grass had a short root system so it burned out. (It started to burn out right after the second application.) I asked if they could fix it and I was told that reseeding was not part of their service. Because they would not do anything to improve the look of all the dead areas, I terminated my contract with them.

Our lawn looks great since we hired TruGreen. Our specialist, Priscilla **, is very friendly and professional. Her knowledge is very good regarding our lawn's need. She does a great job!

Lawn is looking great. Shrubs may need more time and additional treatments. A soil sample was collected about two months ago but we haven't received any results.

I hired TruGreen lawn and it is apparent the May 2015 and was told that results are guaranteed. I have had 2 fertilizer, 1 lime and 2 chemical treatments now and I have weeds spreading. There is one specific section that is all weeds and they are spreading into other areas. I called about the problem of the weeds growing and did get one complimentary treatment which seems to fertilize the weeds, not kill them. I made 3 calls trying to get a manager to either speak on the phone or come with the tech to see the weeds in my yard which is 80% covered. Each time I called I was told a manager would call with 24-48 hrs. The first call was 2 weeks ago and the 2nd call was 3 days of this complaint; still no call. I finally called corporate in Memphis Tennessee, spoke to a customer service rep by the name of Carissa, who was very unprofessional and attempted to insult me by asking "what do you want free today".

My lawn got out of control with weeds over a 5 year period that it was not being maintained by others for weed control. It actually looks like grass from a desert area. The following year I hired TruGreen and my lawn became beautiful and healthy looking again that very season. I will always use them now. The lawn really needs this kind of maintenance in order to be a "grassy lawn".

My TruGreen representative always lets me know what he will be doing, when it will be done and when it is done he leaves me a message about what he has done and if anything looks good or needs special care. Even better, if I am home he takes the time to talk with me and answer any questions I might have. If brown spots begin to appear and I call in with a concern, he will be out to address what is needed within the next few days. TruGreen is the best lawn service I have ever had. It is worth the expense.

There is not much to say. TruGreen always does what it says it is going to do. They call to let us know when they are coming. They come when they say they are coming (weather permitting). I have been using TruGreen for about 3 years. Before TruGreen lawn was sickly and loaded with weeds including Japanese clover. Now no weeds or Japanese clover and lawn looks healthy. Best part is I don't have to kill myself trying to maintain the lawn - Age 70 plus. I get very good value for the money spent. Highly recommend them.

The Techs that usually arrive are very courteous and prompt and extremely professional. They take their time to make sure we get what we pay for and that is greatly appreciated.

I've used TruGreen for a number of years and they are the best for my lawn needs.

I was charged for a service that I was told was complimentary. I was told several times that my money would be refunded by about 5 different associates including 2 managers. Everyday there is a different story. 7-10 days has turned into 3 weeks and I still have not received my refund. I authorized a certain amount of money to come out of my account on a specific date and TruGreen chose otherwise. Now I'm left to speak with a crew of unprofessionals that have no idea what's going on with MY money and they continue to give me the run around and they have the worst attitudes about it.

The technicians are sloppy and lazy. They were supposed to be treating weeds and keeping my grass green. They sprayed my flower beds with herbicide and killed my flowers!!! When I complained, the manager just told me nonchalantly go buy more flowers and I will pay for them. No type of apology for all my hard work with my flower beds. I cannot replace them in July!!! My beds were planted and cared for since April. My petunias were beautiful, phlox abundant, salvia was vibrant, and vincas were plentiful! Now I have dead flowers and spots in my flower beds. This is not acceptable!!! Do not trust TruGreen!

My lawn is the nicest in my neighborhood. I am not being boastful, just honest. I owe this to TruGreen. My neighbors who do not use TruGreen have weed infested lawns and gardens. I do not have any weeds. Even with neighbors who butt up against my lawn, the weeds do not cross onto my property. My service tech is awesome. He speaks to me whenever he sees me and he goes above and beyond to address my concerns. He even leaves treats for my dog!

Without trugreen my lawn was bad. Since I have them no big weeds like I used to. No dandelions. My lawn looks great.

Whenever the man has finished his services to my lawn, he comes to the door if I am home, to see if I am happy with the way my lawn looks and to tell me to call if I have any problems with my lawn, like weeds or insects. He reminds me that they will come out and do anything that is necessary to correct the problem. They are always cordial, friendly, and willing to keep their customers.

TruGreen killed my lawn. I had a nice green lawn that I have taken care of for years. I thought it would be nice to have someone else do it for me. They over sprayed something on my front lawn and burned it. I tried to complain about it to a manager, they kept sending same tech to my house to spray more stuff on it. It looks worse than it has in 7 years.

I really appreciate TruGreen. I have reduced my time spent doing lawn maintenance by 50%, enabling me to spend more time with my family. I wish they could eradicate the other grasses present in my lawn, but that's small potatoes compared to the previous weeds. Plus my grass looks great. No more letters from the HOA.

Both gentlemen were courteous and knowledgeable about what they were doing. They did a thorough job of both the lawn and tree treatments, left the paperwork on the front door, answered my questions and very, very efficient.

I think TruGreen does a good job notifying us for our scheduled maintenance and they keep up with scheduled maintenance. However, if during a maintenance weeds are treated for, maybe there should be a follow up if it is a large volume, either contact customer or drive by. Our yard has/had a fungus and I understand it takes time to recover but it is filled with weeds.

Mistakes happen - just make sure you correct them. TruGreen had a new tech who either put the wrong product on our grass or put too much product on and the results were dead brown grass. The manager said they would replace the grass at their expensive, because it was their fault. We have a small patch of grass in the backyard, because we have a pool which covers most of the yard. They replaced the backyard and said they would wait until spring to replace the front yard. Spring time - we called and asked them to replace the front yard and now they DON'T REMEMBER SAYING THAT THEY WOULD REPLACE THE FRONT YARD. Spring has come and gone and they still refuse to own up to what they promised. We broke down and paid to have the front yard re-sodded ourselves. DO NOT USE TRUGREEN.... THEY DO NOT LIVE UP TO THEIR PROMISES!!

We've relied on TruGreen for several years now to ensure that best care and appearance for our lawn. Their service has been timely and professional and we are quite satisfied with our results through the years. Upon purchasing my new home, I lost about 1/3 of my parkway grass to Chinch Bugs. A neighbor recommended TRUGREEN to me as he had the same experience and said "in Florida you just can't do without it". So here I am over a year later and extremely happy with my lawn. I work really hard at keeping my yard and lawn nice. All of your workers are very helpful in answering questions. I have been trying to get this grassy weed out of my lawn that comes every year. Last year I felt that they got almost all of it. It looks like grass but it grows taller than the grass and it was taking over my lawn. They got it under control. I probably should have used the spray for the trees this year. The caterpillars are eating away at my pretty birch tree. Is it too late? I'm going to call Brian tomorrow about this. He stopped by tonight and left me a message about my boxwood.

I have been dealing with this situation for at least 6 weeks now. Calling and waiting for your incompetent managers to come out and diagnose my situation. Your manager Ed in Pembroke Pines FL supposedly came out 7/2/15 (no correspondence left for me, as usual) and leaves notes in the system that my irrigation system is the problem. My sprinkler works FINE!!! The problem started when TruGreen treated my yard TWICE within a 10-day period and killed my GRASS!! This is the second time in the nine years I've been a customer that this has happened to me. I WANT THIS WRONG RIGHTED. It's the least I deserve as a loyal customer.

Lawn service good, noticeable improvement in lawn over the past few years. Occasionally have dandelions on edge of yard. Shrubs and tree treatments - I cannot tell a discernible difference in the health, but can say that the insects are staying away from eating on them. May be interested in adding lawn service to the very back of yard beyond fence between the storm drain run outs while discontinuing the shrub and tree applications. I am thinking about getting rid of the whole row of hedges along the front of house.

On 4/2/15 they over applied fertilizer which burnt up my yard. They acknowledged their fault but lied and made excuses and failed to keep appointments to resod my yard. I was getting letters from my association to do something about it, so after 5 weeks I resodded. I have received no refunds from them.

Since using TruGreen for our lawn care we have seen a 100% improvement. The grass is a beautiful green color and thick. My wife loves to walk through the grass in her bare feet!

We have always treated our lawn and it was like a carpet -- no weeds, clover, or crabgrass. My grandchildren used to love to run around in their bare feet. Since starting with TruGreen this year we have had nothing but headaches. We had dandelions from the start and the treatments were always weeks behind friends in the neighborhood that had the same service. We have more clover than I have ever seen along with some other strange vegetation that I can't even identify. The neighbors even commented that with all of the rain we have had, our lawn is not nearly as green and pretty as in past years.

I was actually losing my lawn...didn't know where to turn. I was spending so much money and making it worse! TruGreen came in and saved my lawn...love TruGreen!!!

I had an account with TruGreen well over 5 years ago. I cancelled the contract because my grass died after the first treatment was applied. Fast forward to April 15, 2015, I found TruGreen yard signs in the front and back of my yard, and a service receipts on my door. A TruGreen Technician mistakenly treated my lawn instead of my neighbor's lawn with fertilizer, broadleaf weed control and other products. I knew this was going to destroy my lawn because of my previous experience with TruGreen and because we had just fertilized it ourselves a day or two before; it was over fertilized. I immediately notified my neighbor and a representative at TruGreen of the error. I have been calling and calling, leaving message after messages trying to get someone to come out and access my lawn in hopes of preventing the grass from dying because it's really expensive to replace.

TruGreen used chemicals on my lawn that burned both front and back lawn severely. After reporting problem to a representative immediately after damage occurred resulting from chemical application on June 10, 2015, I never received a call from the company. I placed a second call and still no response. Actually, I had a small but similar problem with TruGreen last year but their representative begged me to continue service and promised that this would never happen again. I've had to contract with a firm to resod most of my front lawn at my personal expense! They employ people that don't know what they're doing and have terrible customer service. Terrible company despite all of the advertising - don't be fooled!

We have been very satisfied with our TruGreen Specialist. He has been very courteous, caring, and diligent as he has come out and treated our lawn. It has never looked so good with so little effort on our part. We are especially impressed with the weed control. Our lawn continues to look green and beautiful through the extreme summer heat. We are very happy with TruGreen. I hope that our specialist will be rewarded for his hard work.

I signed up with TruGreen and it is the worst lawn service that I have ever dealt with. The agreement with them was to ONLY treat my lawn with weed control in the early spring and late fall. Very simple you would think!!! TruGreen called in May on a Monday and said that they would be at my resident on Wednesday to treat my lawn. I called them as soon as I heard the message no more than an hour later to tell them that I wasn't due any treatment until September and the Customer Service Representative told me not to worry - that it was taken care of and no one would be there.

TrueGreen has done a great job for my lawn.

I have about 60 feet of shrub landscaping in the front of my house. While they looked stressed from the cold winter both the landscaping installer and TruGreen agents told me that they'd be fine. There were green buds all over them and their branches were pliable. Today most of the leaves are gone, over half the remaining ones are brown, there are no buds, and the branches are brittle. Two weeks ago TruGreen took samples of the shrubs for analysis, telling me they'd get back to me "ASAP." I haven't heard from them and an additional service was performed even though the analysis results are not yet known.

TruGreen became a truly nightmare with the billing. First, they started by asking me for a check on the original visit and promising a bill. Next thing I know, the money was coming out of my account, without consent. The last straw was on my last invoice where the one time monthly charge, duplicated without explanation and when I called, all they said was that an extra treatment was applied to the grass. The pesticides, fertilizers and herbicides supposedly applied was never good enough to cover the "bald spots" on the lawn as promised and an array of ants invaded my house.

My lawn is looking and feeling better. Think it has since I moved in in 2003!

Our TruGreen service technician does a great job of taking care of our yard. ** always arrives promptly and updates us on the condition of our yard and takes the time to answer any questions or concerns we might have. ** is always courteous and friendly.

We decided to cancel our agreement with Trugreen due to the lawn looking terrible. Last year with Trugreen, the lawn was in good shape. However this year there are numerous bare and/or thin spots. We asked ourselves, "What are we paying for?" So we called and cancelled but they asked (basically insisted) to have a "specialist" come out and look the lawn over. But according to their policy, when a "specialist" comes to your house, this will nullify any cancellation notice that you gave them. Subsequently the "specialist" came out 2 weeks later and applied 2 applications. After I called to complain and cancel again, Trugreen eventually agreed to pay for one of the applications, but I still have to pay for the other one.

I have both a lawn man ** that answers all my questions and a tree and shrub man ** who are very informative. Because I prepay they always leave a 'receipt' type information sheet on my door after they have completed their work... so I have adequate records on each job done.

** provided the lawn services requested in a timely and professional manner without intruding on my time. By doing so he enabled me to concentrate on doing other things. I am not able to take care of my property due to injuries and getting older. TRUGREEN will enable me to remain in my home for the foreseeable future while enabling me to be a good neighbor by taking care of my property!

He is the best I have ever seen and I would recommend that he train the new employees. They could really take lessons from him on being proficient. TruGreen aerated my yard on 05/28/15. When I signed up for treatment, I was told we would get 2 to 3 days notice to mark irrigation head so there would be no damages. We didn't get a phone call and sure enough we have damage. We called TruGreen and they said they would send someone out on 06/04/15 @ 3 pm to walk the property with me to review the damage. I had to take off work on that day and no one showed up.

I was looking for a lawn service to improve the green space in the back of my condo. I went online to research lawn care services. I received a call from a TruGreen rep and agreed to have 5 treatments at a cost of $116.00+ for 4 treatments and a $169.00 treatment for a total of $753+ (including tax). This was before anyone came to evaluate the condition of the area. When the technician came he indicated that the area had mold and fungus and indicated that there was not much that could be done to make this area any better. I let him apply fertilizer although there is little to no grass so I am not sure what was fertilized.

We are always happy with the results from TruGreen. They have the correct applications worked out to make sure our lawn looks beautiful each year.

I just want to take the time out to write about my lawn care service with TruGreen. I been with TruGreen for about a year now and I am completely satisfied with my service. I had only about 2 concerns regarding my lawn and TruGreen took care of any concerns I had about my lawn.

My lawn care service was done efficiently and as promised.

I've seen a huge improvement in service from TruGreen since my last experience but there is still a long way to go. TruGreen must figure out how to balance a need for revenue with providing a great customer experience. There are too many national and local providers of lawn care for me to have anything less than a great customer experience. Many of the most "soft" services they advertise on their website as part of their package end up not being done. TruGreen is strictly interested in billing.

I am very happy with TruGreen's Service. My lawn looks green and healthy and the only weeds are in my gardens. Neighbors are envious. I especially like the advance notice of application calls. Then I can notify my lawn cutting service to skip that day. But, I do wish the day & date of service was written on the lawn signs as I am often away and do not want the lawn cutting service to get confused and skip a cutting when they do not have to. The entire service is very cost effective for me. Especially so when I pre-pay for the season and get a discount. I rarely see the service being performed but the yard always looks wonderful, no excess "stuff" on the driveway, walkways, etc. I am so pleased with TruGreen, I have hired the Canadian counterpart to take care of the lawn at my cottage.

My lawn is looking much better. It was pretty bad when we started service last year. The techs have been great. They let me know about other services available but DO NOT get pushy. I hate the hard sell you get from some places. The automated call I'm supposed to get the day before a treatment is still not completely reliable but better than last year. They've only missed calling once this season. Last year it was closer to 50-50 odds on whether or not I got that call. Overall I'm very pleased. Definitely worth the money.

TruGreen notified me of when my service was going to be, showed up as specified, and performed the treatment. My grass does grow very nice, is healthy, and very full. There are no weeds, even though my neighbor's yard is filled with them.

Reliable company that has taken care of my lawn and trees for 3 years. My grass has never looked better. My evergreen trees were looking mighty sleek, with their help they are perking up and I think they will be ok. Because I'm on a fixed income, they have helped me with payments. THANK YOU.

We have the nicest lawn 1.5 acres in our exclusive neighborhood with the help of Tru-Green and their team! Very fairly priced for the service we receive!

I am very happy with the look of our lawn this year. The first year we had TruGreen service we didn't see a lot of improvement to our lawn. This year our lawn looks 10 times better. All the dandelions are gone. And the other weeds are leaving as we speak.

This is the second request to cancel my Shrub and Tree service. I've tried numerous times to call both local and the 800 number and can never get answered. So I e-mailed TruGreen. Over a month ago last week they came again.

I have used TruGreen for several years now and my lawn has never looked better. The price for them to perform my service 4 or 5 times per year is not much more than the price of me buying the material and doing the work myself. I did this myself for years and my lawn never looked as good as it does with TruGreen and I don't have to do any of the work myself!

I signed up for one year of TruGreen lawn service purchasing the complete lawn care with aeration in the fall. So far I am extremely pleased with the service. I found the price reasonable and the specialist who treats my lawn extremely helpful. I like the convenience of not having to worry about when to treat my lawn. I highly recommend TruGreen lawn care.

Last year, my lawn was excellent! After the visit from a lawn specialist, I think time and some rain will reverse the damage done by the winter weather. I also had mushrooms growing that was also treated with lime.

I enquired about TruGreen online a year ago. Someone came to home when I was not there. When he called me, I could barely understand him. I wanted my back yard done, not my side yard. So I told him I was not interested, I need to be there to speak with someone. They kept calling me to make apt. Today they tell me I was a customer since Aug. of last year. I never agreed to anything. Then one morning a young lady knocked on my door. I told her I was not interested, and just had my lawn fertilized about a week before. She said ok and left. Then about a month later, I thought, "Well I will try them, but just for the weed application since I did not need fertilizer again". When I called the man told me, "No they could not come that weekend". So I go away for weekend, and then come home to an invoice at my door, saying they did my entire lawn.

Hired TruGreen to do chemical treatment on trees in my yard. When I called to book the service, I was given another number to call to schedule the service. The first person took my credit card information without a problem but then the scheduling person said she couldn't give me an actual date of service as it was based on availability. I requested a certain date (for a week later) and she said that she would try, and call me back if that date was not available. If the date was available, then a technician would call me to confirm the time of service.

The specialist was very polite and seemed truly interested in making sure he covered the areas I pointed out to him.

My new expensive shrubs were dying and filled with bugs. My lawn was brown and had giant holes and spots. Now, my shrubs are twice their original size and healthy. My lawn is lush and green. Beautiful.

My TruGreen rep ** has done an above and beyond job. He calls every visit (knowing I have a younger baby and doesn't want to wake her) he checks in and gives advice on what I should do in between visits. I know this is standard (or should be) but the way he goes about it and explains in detail what I should and shouldn't do or get make him great.

Tech performed service as advertised. No real issues.

Ever since my TruGreen Specialist has been spraying my yard I have not gotten any of those horrible black ants, etc. that would invade the inside of my house. Couldn't do without my TruGreen Specialist. Many years he has been doing this for me. No pesky calls from them asking us to buy more and more. This is why I like them. Easy breezy!

With Meyer Zoysia I had not had trouble with weeds in general for 25 years. In May 2010 I thought I would hire them to rid the front yard of a small patch of spurge and some violets in a corner of the backyard. They nearly destroyed our whole yard.

The lawn speaks for the service provided, it looks great. The TruGreen folks are friendly, leave good comments for us on status of our lawn, any advice on changes we need to make. They are professional, are thorough in their work but also prompt. I like the pre notification that they will be coming for the application and they always leave markers advising all that they did do an application.

The person who services our lawn is very polite and knowledgeable. If he sees something that we may need to make our lawn or shrubs better, he makes suggestions and is not pushy for additional services. Our applications are always timely. I am contacted each year prior to first application time for renewal.

The worst lawn care service in the area. The manager is complete useless, the reps are not even trained to properly treat the lawn and when you cancel the services, they just show up and bill you anyway. I have been fighting with corporate for months and they still bill you. I told the manager if they step foot on my property again I will call the police and have them arrested for trespassing. Plus the lawn looks like garbage so the product they use is not even working. Check out the video of the technician covering 1/3 of the lawn with fertilizer and leaving. They save money by only treating a portion of your lawn and they didn't realize they were being recorded. They also charged me $75 for a $35 treatment without my authorization. Stay away. Far away. TruGreen is the worst company my husband and I have ever dealt with! They do not communicate with their customers. We hired them to care for our trees and shrubs on our 1 acre lot and we noticed our trees were not doing well. We had a certified arborist come out to look at our trees and they noticed some of our trees had ash borers and other trees had scale insects. We called TruGreen to come out and treat for these insects and we were told someone would come out to look. A few days went by and no representative from TruGreen came out or did they call us back regarding our concern on the insects. My husband called them back after about 3-4 days and demanded to speak with a manager and have a manager come out to our property. A manager did come out and stated he would ensure these trees would be treated.

We are very happy with TruGreen services. They have kept our lawn healthy, green, mostly weed free, and beautiful. TruGreen is affordable and professional, and we have had no issues.

I am happy with the service with TruGreen and if they continue with the good service and will stay with them as long I have my house. Lawn is good and keep green all the time. ** who take care the tree & shrub and ** who always come to take care of the lawn. My recommendations of both of them.

They got service dates mixed up which became a huge problem then charged me 49.99 instead of agreed upon promo rate on flier of 29.99. Have been on phone with customer service 4 times equaling 3 hours of my time and guess what - they won't give the money back??? This is bar none one of the worst companies I have every dealt with. List of problems goes on but it's not worth it.

The actual application results are fine but the Cust Svc is shockingly bad. I requested the pay in full option for the 10% discount and a free lime application. Both were agreed to when signing up via phone AND NEITHER was done. I called 3 weeks ago and ended up speaking to a Supervisor (**) who promised to have the payment issue resolved within minutes AND pull my original call to resolve the free lime issue. The latter item would take 5-6 days and she would call me back.

** is my lawn care specialist. He is always friendly and pleasant; always talks to me before doing any work (if I'm home); always gives special attention to what needs something. My one complaint is regarding TruGreen not always notifying me PRIOR to the visit that you are coming.

We started off with a very patchy sparse-looking Centipede Lawn a year ago. After spending Hundreds of Dollars ourselves and Hours-and-Hours on our knees pulling wire-grass, dollar weed, etc etc. and having to hunt down suppliers of pesticides and herbicides to treat the lawn, we finally called TruGreen. The initial consultation was great and the follow-up spot-on. Our lawn has been barefoot worthy ever since and the envy of our neighbors. Absolutely worth it!

This company is a joke! When I call with a question that I would think is basic for them I get contradicting answers from one customer service reps to another. Then after all that I need to wait for a call back from a supervisor which never comes. The deal breaker was when the lawn technician tells me at the time of my first visit that it's ok to seed my lawn 2 weeks after the first app (crabgrass pre-emergent). This was brought up because I told him I needed to seed my lawn due to the winter's damage and to my understanding seed will not germinate after this type of application. He assured me that all I had to do was wait 2 weeks after this application and I could seed without any issues. I took his word for it considering that he is apparently the expert and would know more about the product he is using than I. What a BIG MISTAKE!

Having to win the battle of the weeds was always just that, a battle and I always lost the battle. No matter what Home Depot sold, I felt it made the weeds stronger. I can't remember the last time my lawn was close to being weed-free. And I like how I don't have to worry about it anymore. :) I will be a lifetime customer.

My husband and I have made numerous attempts in having a pro handle our lawn services as it relates to the lawns care i.e. treating and protecting. We have had large companies as well as mom and pop companies attempt to help out our lawn. For as long as I can remember we have had problem thistle on the east side of our property. We had never had any success in killing them off or even thinning them out. Whatever was tried, always seemed to make them thrive. Sometimes it felt like they were mocking the futile attempts at ridding our yard of them.

In February the contract was signed with TruGreen for lawn maintenance. It was in good condition before and after 4 treatments the lawn is in bad condition, dead grass in many areas.

We just started using TruGreen again. The man sprayed weed killer and fertilizer and my lawn turned brown. The man who cuts my grass had been using my lawn on his website because it was so beautiful. He came to cut my grass and wouldn't even cut it. He was so upset, as I am with the ruined lawn. I complained and TruGreen sent the man who services the lawn back to look at it and all I got was excuses. He blamed the type of grass and it is the same grass I've had for years and it has never done this before. I had it checked for fungus and it is not that. Now I have a brown streaked and spotted lawn for the rest of this year and until I have the fall seeding. TruGreen did my lawn for several years some time back and that never happened.

The technician seems to do a good job and is friendly.

I was set up for invoice billing and was paying monthly by check when TruGreen pulled money out of my bank account on a holiday weekend without authorization causing funds availability problems with my account. The company did not care. After 6 days a call from a manager did not resolve the problem, and to date they have not resolved the problem. I have suspended my account, and I had a great technician and beautiful lawn, but can't have people dipping in my bank account without notice or permission.

I have used TruGreen lawn service for 9 years at my present address, and approximately 7 or 8 years at my old address. I have had a very healthy lawn, nice green grass, and weed-free. Lawn recommendations given by the lawn specialist, after treatments are done. Would highly recommend TruGreen lawn service.

I recently switched my lawn care service to TruGreen. I have heard nothing but good things about this company. My experience so far has not been great. The first time they came out and treated my lawn it turned brown the next day. I called and let them know. A few days later they came back out and treated my lawn again. Then the next day they came back out and aerated my lawn. I was not aware that they were coming out to do this. I was never informed that this service would be an additional 139.00 dollars.

Great experience. The specialists at the house were helpful with recommendations on how to care for my lawn and landscaping, along with customer service being able to match the price of a competitor and being helpful with payment options.

Always gives 24 hour notice prior to arrival, and arrives as said. So scheduling is not an issue. If home the specialist usually rings bell and asks if there are any questions and goes over the quality of the lawn with you. Does a quality job for the money spent.

Always there when you say you are going to be there. Very easy to get a hold of someone if you have a question or would like to talk about an issue.

The specialists are customer oriented and seem to want to let customers know what they are applying and as a customer, I really do want to know. This season the grass is looking thicker and with fewer weeds so I am happy with the appearance and anticipating good results through the year.

Dealing with phone agents in an attempt to get answers is fruitless. No one ever called me back or fixed the problem. Only after I discovered the complaint site online did someone respond. My complaint was that I kept getting payment late notices for a prepaid account, after having called the previous month and was assured that it would be resolved. I had the same problem last year!

The specialist ** discussed with me what I would like to be accomplished, arrived on schedule and performed the application as we discussed. The lawn looks great, very few weeds but there is some concern about the amount of violets in certain areas and the influx of Japanese Stiltgrass in other areas, but we are working on these.

I had TruGreen service. I did like the results but the problem I see is that they charge by the visit, and twice it happened they would come, would not put any chemical, leave a notification paper they were here and send the bill for the visit. Generally they come without any schedule and one would not know that they are being charged for service not provided. I would call it a cheating on their part. I would like to hire them again provided they give scheduled service and get my signature after providing service.

Our lawn looks fabulous and I like the way the company calls a day or two ahead of our service so we can plan mowing the lawn.

We finished our new house build in south Lincoln, Nebraska, in October, 2014, which is the same month that our lawn was sodded. Shortly thereafter we called TruGreen to set up a year-long contract, which we paid in full when we signed up. Their first service was in November, 2014 (or thereabout), and it was fine. However, when March 2015 rolled around for the first spring service visit, the cancellations and excuses started piling up. Their first visit was cancelled not once, but twice. The first time the guy called around 7:00 PM on the day the service was scheduled and said "Sorry, I couldn't find your address, I'll have to reschedule you..." Ok, maybe that is understandable since it's a new neighborhood (although at the time it showed up in Google Maps and on the iPhone/iPad map app just fine... benefit of the doubt, right?).

This is our second year with TruGreen. Generally, we are satisfied. We are finding some weed growth in the yard between treatments. We understand that you can't get all the weeds all of the time but the prices are good and the service is very good.

My lawn is outstanding. It's green and gorgeous. There isn't a weed in sight! This is my second year on the TruGreen program and my lawn is thick and lush!

Lawn looks better each year. I have TruGreen for every service they offer...Trees & Shrubs, Grub Control, Pest Control and of course Weed Control as well as Aeration and over-seeding. TruGreen and my Irrigation System has made my lawn absolutely GORGEOUS although I now have to mow more often because I have more grass!! :)

I have had them for a couple of years - last year was terrible. I have more weeds now than my neighbors and of course they keep saying it takes time (or more applications). This year we had decided that we would not use a lawn care service but they "automatically" signed me back up and showed up spraying my lawn. The first application once again did little to fight our weed issue and even though I had sent them emails to their customer service account they still showed up spraying for the second treatment.

I use TRUGREEN because I am no longer physically able to do it myself. I have found they do a better job than I was doing. The lawn looks spectacular. They will do as little or as much of the program you desire. This is a help to a senior living on a fixed income.

They promote a low introductory price, but then as soon as you sign up with them, they do a bait and switch. They will tack on loads of extra services that you never even asked for, and then charge you for them after they do them without consent. If you don't watch out, they will be charging you $150+ per month. Ridiculous. Even after a couple months of applications, I have noticed no difference in the number of weeds in my yard, and I have yet to even see one of their people show up.

I recently started a lawn care service with TruGreen which I agreed to pay over 150$ every 6 weeks for. Their very first visit, the person applying the chemicals was at my home for about 20 minutes. I know this as a fact because my wife was home when they arrived. The part of my property that is cut grass is about 2 acres. TruGreen estimated it at just under 31000 square feet and needing approximately 61 gallons of chemical. My receipt showed 13.6 gallons of one chem, 11 oz of another, and 32 oz of a third, proving the man did not spray my entire yard.

New tech blamed old tech for not treating for fungus and fertilizing the fungus which killed my front and side yards. I have called several times. No management help, no offer to fix my yard, only "discount" to keep the service (seemed like a desperate attempt to keep me my contract rather then true customer service). I cancelled my service and asked to be removed from their lists, they still call me and mailed me. I would never recommend this company. Before they killed my yard, there were billing issues on previous services as well as no notice treatments (not the 24 hour robocall I was promised). I rarely take the time to post a bad service. And I am more likely to call a business directly and tell the management how great the service was or in the rare cases where this happens I give the company many chances to fairly work it out. My experience has been they don't care to even try and managers wouldn't call me.

Avoid this group at all costs. They quote you different amounts to start service and then double their fee without notice whenever they please. The guy came and spent a grand total of 7 minutes on my yard. I watched him miss a quarter of the front of my yard. I plan on hitting all neighbor and associates that use this service as well to inform them of this company's crimes.

The first time I had TruGreen do my yard I live in LA. The experience was not so good but since we move to MN I thought I would try them one more time & so far I am very please.

We have used TruGreen in three different home in three different areas in Fl. By far the best professional is **, our tech who does our home in Oldsmar. You would do your customers a great service if ** was the person to do all your training. Our lawn looks as good as it can look with the services he advised, he is always honest, not pushy like your sales dept; always courteous and most of all, we feel we can trust him. He always lets us know he is there, he writes a complete description of what he did and takes the time needed to do it correctly. My only for improvement would be that when you call to advise of an upcoming service, call at least 24 hrs ahead of time and please identify the property that will be treated. Thank you.

TruGreen charged me for spraying 7000 square feet. My lot per city tax records is 7840. Minus the square footage of the house, patio, driveway, sidewalks, misc concrete pads, shed, numerous flower beds and two huge hedges leaves me about 4500 square feet of yard. Per my conversation with the Lawn Technician we reached a mutual agreement NOT to spray my back yard due to new grass seeding that I have done. Only the front yard was sprayed which is approximately 2100 sq ft. When I brought this to their attention they credited me $14.00 for the over charge. In summary: 7,000 sq ft equals $70.00, and 2,000 square feet equals $56.00. No one will return any of my calls as well! The only TruGreen Representatives that I can talk to are the Out-Of-State ones from NC and MD.
