On April 16, 2018 I spoke with a representative by the name of Keith **, he sold me a "special" which I thought was great and could not be refused. He said "someone will be there by Friday" (20th) late in the afternoon. I called and I was told that there was nothing scheduled for me until the following Tuesday, I said "that's not what I was promised." Then aeration was another mess! Needed to be done on another day by a different technician I was told. The worst of all is I did not get any special. They charged their usual so no savings, no service when promised and service was terrible! I am very dissatisfied and would not recommend to anyone, I spoke with a manager by the name of Judy, which was a useless conversation. They work together and protect each other NOT the customer! Don't use them, sometimes you may be better off using local companies.

I have been a customer going on two years. My first problem with TruGreen was with the aeration treatment. They call me, said that they were going to be here and I came home to my lawn looking the way it did when I left the house. I called and the rep told me that, yes my lawn was treated. I told the rep that there were no signs of aeration, she proceeded to say that “there should be holes in your yard,” well there were no holes in my yard. After being on hold for a few minutes she then tells me that the tech got confused and treated another yard. You may think, no big deal. She assured me that I wasn’t going to get charge for the service but I did. It took some phone calls to fix the issue but it got fix, again no big deal.
Then I started to notice a lot of weeds on my backyard so I decided to put a black tarp on my backyard before the next treatment, keep in mind that I’m not at the house when they do the treatment. Came home, the note was hanging from the doorknob saying what they did. So I went to my backyard expecting to see some kind of residue on it. There was nothing on it, NOTHING!!! I called and complained. Typical of the company they offer me a discount so I decided to keep them. Big mistake!!! So spring is finally here and I’m looking, hoping my backyard weeds will die. The tech called me this morning at 1117 (11:17 Am).
He said that he was ten minutes out from my house and like every month I tell him that the gate to access my backyard is not locked, you just have to lift the rod on the front of the gate and push it open. He said, "No problem." I said thanks and hung up the phone. I immediately call my son who was home and told him to act as if he was not home when he came to make sure that he was doing the right thing. Yeah he didn’t. He did part of the front yard, left the note on the door and left. Needless to say that I am disappointed with your service.
Fool me once shame on me. Fool me twice shame on you. I’ll definitely make sure to leave my review of your services on as many websites as I can to include the BBB and all the HOAs in the surrounding areas. The regional supervisor for the Fayetteville, NC and surrounding area should resign since he can even return a phone call. This company perhaps should offer better benefits for their workers to ensure that they are being held accountable for their wrongdoing or have and enforce supervised, on the spot checks. You are clearly not providing the services that you claim you provide. There are more complaints than there is good service feedback.

I prepaid for a year of lawn service including aeration that was $200. They were supposed to come in November and canceled. Said they would reschedule in spring and never did. I called asked for manager twice for credit and no one will call me back and they are now charging me for service I canceled.

Got a flyer in the mail and decided to give them a try, as we were having grass issues. When I called, the first turn off was getting a call center. I knew immediately this was not going to be a personal, local business experience. The second turn off was they wanted, up front, a credit card number for the services, and desperately tried to talk me into auto draft from the credit card for each service. I said no since I really wanted a visit first to talk about what the problem was, what they planned, etc. Let me point out, when I called, I was prepared to hire a service. I wasn't just looking for a visit and free advice. The call center person said someone would call me in 5-7 days to set up an appointment. I clearly indicated I wanted a Sat. Appt due to work schedules, plus I wanted to be able to talk with the person coming by.
When I received the call, it was an automated call. Third turn off, right there. The computer told me when my appointment would be, which naturally wasn't convenient. So not only do they want your credit card before any human contact, they make the appt for you, whether it's convenience or not. This was not a good look for someone wanting someone local and dependable. TruGreen is just an apparent robo service. Not sure how you're supposed to trust such an impersonal business practice. Needless to say, I cancelled. It was a very aggravating experience.

Guy called to say he could cut me a deal on a high estimate I received the previous year. Sounded too good to be true, but I tried anyhow like an idiot. Got phone call from 800 number to verify all the information, and the information I was given and the information the 800 number had to share were different. Told them right then and there to cancel it, cancel the service and remove my card.
I get a phone call from the sales rep to ask what happened, and I tell him I felt misled and I didn't have time for it. He went on to offer to let me speak to his sales manager and I told him I didn't want to speak to his sales manager I want the service turned off and my card removed. He continued to talk, and I finally interrupted him and said, "Sir, you have a good day, I don't have time for this".
I get an email today thanking me and welcoming me to their service. I call the 800 number and someone reactivated the account -- "Criminal" comes to mind. I again asked that the service be canceled. I've called the 800 number again to verify it's deactivated but get the same person. Found my number and registered for their online portal. Services appear to be deactivated. Called the credit card company (since I'm a preferred member) and told them what was going on. Also contacted my Lawyer as this might be a lovely case for him. Beware!

I have used TruGreen for the past year and have been pleased until this latest application. The specialist burnt my yard terribly. I repeatedly requested a service manager come to my home... He arrived today only after escalating to his management and I was not home to walk him around. He called me stating that the burnt areas should grow out in the next few cuts as they were only burnt at the tips of the blades. I asked if he had viewed the large dead spots in my backyard. He stated yes. After reviewing my security camera footage, he never entered my backyard. As you can see from the photo... this is not burnt tops of the blades but actually killed my grass. Complete disappointment.

After numerous calls from TruGreen sales representative guaranteeing a healthy weed free lawn. We decided to sign-up for their service in February 2018. My first service was scheduled for 6 & 7 March 2018. My yard was in good condition, the front yard had very little weeds and the backyard was moderately heavy and grass had already started to grow. On the 6 March, the specialist arrived to only treat the trees and shrubs, which was explained to me by the sales representative on the phone it was for weed control. The specialist stated it was a fertilizer and if I wanted weed control for trees and shrubs it would be an extra cost.
On 7 March, a different specialist arrived to treat the lawn for weed control. I started to ask him questions about lawn care, such as will he perform a lawn analysis, mowing, watering, and bare areas tips. He stated to me that he didn’t know anything and couldn’t advise me on any of my questions. He was only here to spray for weeds. I waited 22 days after the initial spray, still had the same weeds, plus new weeds had started to grow. I called customer service and explained the weed control was not working and had started to see new weeds growing. They scheduled and completed another treatment about 12 days (02 April 2018) later. They automatically schedule me on 16 April for another weed treatment.
The specialist arrived at 08:30am and stayed in the vehicle talking on her cell phone for over 20 minutes, until my wife walked outside to see if everything was okay. She exited the vehicle when she saw my wife approaching… still talking on her cell phone. I watched her talk on her cell phone during the entire treatment of our lawn. She failed to treat the right side of the house and only treated half the sidewalk in front of the house, while still talking on her cell phone about some dude she met at the club. She then got in her vehicle, printed out a receipt and stuck it between the front... Still talking on her cell phone. I called customer service to report the untreated areas and the excessive of the cell phone during the treatment and customer representative informed me that she was talking to her service manager about how to treat my lawn... WOW! So I guess he was the dude at the club.
I asked to speak with a manager and informed none was available and they would follow up with me in 2-3 days. She also, said they would schedule another treatment to cover the missed areas. Two days later I received a notification via the App that the service had been completed. So I checked my ring doorbell and camera system no sign of TruGreen. I called the next day to talk with a manager about treatment and he stated in the system it was done, but would not provide the date or time it was completed. So at that time told him to cancel the service. I was done dealing with them.

I completely disappointed with this company so I decided to cancel my account with them. I contracted the service for weed killing every 2-3 months (9 service per year). They did 3 services. The last one was on March 20, 2018 and they charged 59.95$. I complained that part of my lawn were damaged by the treatment. They said not to worry that it will recover soon (by the way two month later the damaged lawn is still yellow). One week later on March 27, they came back to my home to apply another service and I indicated to the technician that the services was already done one week ago. He told me that not to worry because this next service were part of the previous one... I let them performed the service. However, next day my credit card was charged for another 59.95$. I object this new charges to the credit card and block TG for new charges.
I called Customer Services and I received a terrible treatment by the lady that attended my call. I explain that I was not willing to pay again 59.95$ in only 1 week difference and the technician said that was not supposed to be a charged services. Due to the poor attention I request to cancel my account immediately. Now they are keeping sending me the invoice to be paid and there is no way they listen my explanations... While I was active with this company, every week they were calling almost every week to offer different services ie. mosquito, fertilizer, aeration, etc that I always rejected because my lawn was not part of a golf course. Today they called me again to ask the payment. I explained again why I do not consider I owe anything to them... a very aggressive lady called me trying to collect the money. A friend of mine had exactly the same situation.

Three times I was told they were coming out to do our first application. Always delayed! I am cancelling my account with them for lack of service. I don't recommend them. I wanted to give them zero stars but it wouldn't let me.

I had the TruComplete Lawn Plan, spent 500$. The good: Weed under control. The bad: Patchy lawn. The service team has different measurements for my lawn for each service. Took repeated attempts to get them to correct the lawn measurement. When time came to renew the service, they increased the price and were not focused on addressing my lawn issues. They were always focused on renewing the plan not addressing issues. The customer care representative said, "If you renew the lawn then we can have one of our manager come and inspect the lawn." I tried a different representative to see if he can help, but no luck.

They fixed appointment for May 5th, didn't show up. They fix appointment for May 12th. Both for Over-seeding and Aeration. Only the overseeding fellow shows up and May 14th the Aeration guy shows up without an appointment. No one informs everytime we have to call up to find out what is happening. I wouldn't ever recommend them to anyone.

Justin ** is an excellent employee. He does a thorough job on our lawn. Our lawn looks so much better and it is healthier than ever because of the TruGreen treatments. Regarding Billing, we were not previously told of the double service on 5/10/18 and the double charge totaling $119.90. Initially, we were told $29.95 (Intro.) and $59.95 every 6 weeks/10 mos. However, all is well.

TruGreen serviced my lawn for a couple of years and then the problems began. I had completed a spring lawn reseeding and a week later TruGreen shows up without notice and applies a pre emergent. So much for my seeding effort. I contacted the company to raise holy heck. Asked for area manager to come have a talk and asses my needs. Many calls later, after being told "yes sir, call us any time, and I'll come out to discuss your service" and nobody shows up and no returned calls, I gave up. If you tell me you'll do something and repeatedly don't do what you said you will, well, you lack integrity, and for that reason alone I cancelled my service.
A year goes by and guess who's calling again. I agree to give them another shot and I prepay for the entire year. Got a discount, right? Well spring was tough this year and I'm sure TruGreen's scheduling got fouled up a bit so I contact the area manager to find out what the schedule will be. "We'll be out on May 11", he says. 2:30 PM on May 11 TruGreen still not here. I leave a voice mail to see when they will be here. (I wonder too if I hadn't called would I have ever gotten service.) Area manager calls me back 30 minutes later, "Oh, for some reason schedulers took your name off the schedule". I am a bit ticked (and he's blaming someone else too. Hey, it's TRUGREEN).
Waited at home entire day to find out I've been stood up. Integrity issue, perhaps "Sorry sir, we'll get you back on the schedule". Monday afternoon comes and I have to call them. "We'll be there tomorrow", he says. An hour later I see the TruGreen truck traveling down my cul de sac road thinking maybe there'll be here today yet. Nope. Well here it is tomorrow, waiting for TruGreen to arrive, and I get a call saying they'll be here TOMORROW. We'll see. Another day wasted away. The last few weeks have been hosed up waiting for people that may or may not show up. Here is what I think. TRUGREEN LACKS INTEGRITY, and so do its employees. At least some of them anyway. I should have known better than to arrange service with them again. They rarely do what they say. Lesson learned, I suppose.

My mother, who is 85 years young has been using TruGreen Lawn Care for the last few years. Last year the yard looked pretty good. I am the one that takes care of the yard work, such as the mowing and weeding. This year is another story. The backyard is full of weeds and looks horrible. I am very dissatisfied, as she takes pride in how the yard looks. She has called and canceled the service, but they have been back twice this year. They will call my phone and leave a message that they are coming, but my name is not on the account. I have responded to tell them not to come, but for some reason the response does not reach them. Now I am going to have to go buy what I need to fix the yard and get rid of the weeds. I will definitely not recommend them and I also do not for any reason want them back. Ok, so I'll give a quick story. So on May 8th 2018 I was speaking to a TruGreen salesman on my property. We spoke and went back and forth about pricing and what will be done. I ordered a "Tru complete plan". So I had the top of the line product. Salesman was happy, I gave him my payment info and he told me if I ever had problems to reach out to him, text or call. Sounds good to me.
So today, May 14th, I'm having 2nd thoughts about it considering I've had the service year 1 and it's a bit expensive for what you get. So I decided to call the customer service number to cancel as I changed my mind based off of $. I was offered 50% off to save my account since I've been with them previously and they didn't wanna let me go entirely. So I said ok and kept the account with the 50% deduction and gave it a shot. 10 minutes after I get off the phone with customer service, I text the salesperson saying how I got the 50% off. He rebuttaled very upset saying that's not a true offer and I won't be getting that. I was confused at first with his response and he told me it's all going back to regular price and I don't get the 50% off.
I responded with, "Well then I'd like to cancel my service. You can't offer customers 50% off by your customer service center then my salesperson tell me I can't have it." Well the text conversation goes on with this salesman after I tried to cancel and he insinuated to text me laughing faces and calling me broke and insulting my personal life and finances because I didn't want to pay full price with TruGreen at 47$ an appointment. I have been harassed and ridiculed by this salesperson of TruGreen and I couldn't believe the unprofessionalism brought forward by this person representing a large company. I have the full text conversation and I will never go back to TruGreen. I have proof of this entire story.

Please be wary of paying for any service online. It appears that once they have collected your money they are content to do (not do in my case) the job "whenever". I paid for a lawn aeration service almost 2 months ago. So far I have placed 5 calls to schedule service. Call one- it will be done by April 16, then April 19, then by April 30. On the 4th call I left explicit instructions that I would be away but that they could come the next week because only the front lawn needed to be done. I returned to a phone message that they had come but since they could not gain access to my backyard they did nothing. Did they not get the message about not doing the backyard? Call 5, we will be out this week. The week has come and gone and still NO SERVICE. Beyond frustrated with this company.

I'm 2 services in and haven't seen a noticeable change in my lawn. If anything it's gotten worse. When I was doing this myself and buying products off the shelf at my local hardware store, I got results within a few days of applying the treatments. Unfortunately, I no longer have the time to do this because of my schedule so I decided to spend the money and leave it to the "pros". The tech I have is great, but the product seems to be worthless. I'm scheduled for my next treatment on Tuesday. If I don't see dying weeds by Friday, I'm canceling! I'll treat my lawn myself. Even if I have to do it by moonlight. It's one helluva inconvenience, but at least I won't have weeds.

I am a new customer for TruGreen. I prepaid for the year upon signing up. We have had (2) appointments scheduled. The first appointment "William **" shows up and informs me he is "Out of Product". He assures me he is going to place a service call for me and someone will be out early the following week to treat. However, he is going to apply some fertilizer granules to "help strengthen" the grass. He applies it ONLY to my front yard and promptly leaves. I waited until Thursday of the following week before following up with TruGreen.
Since I hadn't heard from anyone, I opened the app and gave them a single star rating. Also, I explained why I was disappointed. Later that day, I was notified by the app that Kyle ** would be out the next day to provide the service. I decided to work from home to await the arrival of Kyle. The app notified me he was en route. Then, at 3:55 PM, the app notified me that Kyle ** had completed my service call. It showed he had arrived at 3:52 PM. I live on a cul-de-sac. My office has a large picture window in it. I can assure you, Kyle ** never came to my house.
I called Customer Service for TruGreen. The young lady on the phone explained that Kyle ** had been there, inspected my lawn, and left. I am not sure which is worse: The fact that they didn't bother to show up or that they said they inspected it and saw nothing to treat. It makes me wonder how many other people are being "scammed" by this company. I look at the one receipt that was left on my door and I see the misleading comments on it. Very disturbing and extremely disappointing.

We have used TruGreen for 10 years plus. Our lawn has turned a lime green and is dying. We have call many times, with the promise someone would be out or call us back. After at least 5 no shows, our regular guy came to spray and said he didn't know we had a problem. He treated the yard with no improvement. Two weeks ago a young man showed up said he was new to the company and knew nothing, so he took pictures. The company says they have no idea who he was. We pay every year in advance, we are very disappointed and want our money back.

I call to pay our bill and told the girl that we had blooming Dandelions in the backyard at our rental that you had already sprayed. They came out and sprayed again and we really appreciated this. My husband cannot stand dandelions.

While the personnel that actually come service the lawn are very nice, our lawn has deteriorated over the last two years to nothing but weeds. If their lawn service was as good as their lip service we’d have the lawn of the month. Twice this week alone we were promised they’d be here yet here it is 7:30 at night and again a no-show. We told them we were canceling our service and they promised to send someone out to see our lawn and would retreat it at no cost. That’s not the issue!
We’d just spent $5000 for a new lawn two years ago and it has deteriorated to the worst condition it has ever been in. Definitely would not recommend them to anyone. I’m not even sure they are actually spraying chemicals for the pre-emergent and weed kill. The result looks like they sprayed with weakened solution or water. Extremely dissatisfied. Also, they can never give you a time they will be here so you sit and wait all day then it’s a no-show. Very poor service all the way around.

We had TruGreen is 2017 and spent the entire season waiting for them to either show-up or come back because the service person was invariably late, showed up without enough product, or when they did show up, they arrived so late in the afternoon that the service had to rescheduled because the technician did not have enough time to perform the service before dark. Last year, we swore to each other that we would NEVER do business with TruGreen again. However, when the overseeding was performed in the fall of 2017 failed to produce grass this spring in several of the areas that were overseeded, we called to have someone come out and re-perform since the work was 100% guaranteed. We were told that a representative would be out.
The “representative” turned out to be a salesman. He (Terrance) presented a professional presentation, looked at the entire property and assured us that we would not have a repeat of last year’s horrible service. We made the horrendous mistake of agreeing we would give TruGreen another try. We even wrote a check and paid for the entire year to get a “pre-pay discount”. The first service was scheduled for 7 May. However, the technician, Jake, said he did not have enough hose to do the job and we would be contacted to be rescheduled. We were rescheduled for Thursday, 10 May 2018.
On 9 May 2018, we received a notice, via the TruGreen app, that we would receive three services on 10 May. The technicians were all supposed to arrive between 0700 to 1200. One technician (James **.) did arrive at 0930 and performed the Mosquito Defense/TruShield treatment for lawn pests (fleas, ticks, ants, etc.) James **. was professional and got the job done -- we have no complaints about his service. For the “Complete Lawn Plan”, we received an update that technician, Ryan **, would be here between 12 and 5 pm. Then we got another update that changed the time to 4 to 5, then another changed it to 5:30 to 6:15 pm and finally an update that said “Unfortunately, we will not be able to perform your service as scheduled…”
When we received the notice that we would not receive service as promised, we called and cancelled the entire agreement. In addition to talking with the female representative about cancelling our service and getting our money refunded, we talked with “Scott” who said he would talk to the billing department to make sure our refund was processed ASAP. About 30 minutes after we cancelled, technician Ryan ** appeared. Trying to give him the benefit of doubt, we decided to talk to him and if he had a firm understanding of what he was to be doing, we would call the office and ask that the agreement be reinstated.
However, when we ask him if he had enough product to do the entire job, he looked at the area to be serviced and said he did NOT have enough product to perform the entire service today. We thanked him for talking to us but that the agreement will remain cancelled. We then received another “update” that says “Your TruGreen Free Service has been completed…” As stated above, Ryan ** performed NO service… free or otherwise. What a rip! We won’t waste our money and waste our time with TruGreen EVER again. If there were negative stars, we'd give them a negative 5-star rating.

I have been a customer of TruGreen Lawn service since they became a business in GA. It was previously ChemLawn. They did excellent work until about a year ago. I had a multitude of problems and it all stemmed from an employee. He only sprayed only part of the yard and even when it brought it to his attention, he continued. They had been working me all along with no resolution. I was ready to leave TruGreen and they found out and immediately put correction action in place. I called this handling the business once thing was again clearly communicated and they understood. I don’t mind paying, but you have to do the job and they did.

We have been using TruGreen service going on 6 years now and before that Chem Lawn, which was taken over by TruGreen. I used to have the best looking lawn in the neighborhood. However the past 2 years it’s gone downhill. We are usually never home when the service takes place, however we have surveillance surround my home. And, I can honestly say that no one has ever taken a minute to evaluate my lawn. It’s the same routine, the driver pulls up unloads the truck and starts the work.
The grass in the backyard is completely gone. It was never noted on the receipts or brought to my attention. My surveillance camera showed me that I had no grass in my backyard. After complaining to TruGreen a manager came out in March 2018 and his explanation didn’t make any sense to me. "The dirt had moved.", he said. I’ve been in the house 18 years and everything was fine until past two years... No solution was given. Requested an evaluation in writing and so far nothing. I tried to handle this in a friendly way. But nothing has been done. I expect TruGreen to reseed my lawn and bring it back to the prime condition it was in. I believe that the technician used the wrong chemicals.

Started using service this past fall 2017. They came to service in the beginning of April 2018. I watched them give me a sign that they chemical treated lawn for weed but never treated. Started calling office April 16 to complain. They promised to redo. Waited at home for the service. Never showed. Since April 16, I have complained to office at least 6x. Promised they would be here May 4. No show again. Promised they would be here yesterday May 9. Once again no show. Called again. No supervisor call back. I spent over 500$ prepaid and my lawn looks worse now than when I did it myself. I'm in desperate need of help.

I hired TruGreen to treat my lawn in 2017 because I had a very bad dandelion problem. They did kill them but they did NOT kill the other weeds I had that were outside my bedroom in a partially enclosed fenced in area. I called and complained. They assured me they would come back and kill them but when they came back they said they did not have to because of where they were. After that, I forgot about them because I purchased their seasonal treatment and I thought it would end with the fall aeration.
I received an automated call the following spring saying they were coming out to treat my lawn but I did not need to be there. I called and told them I did not need it or want it but they said they had sent me a letter saying they were renewing for lawn service for another year. I told them I would not pay them so don't bother. That time came and went and they tried the same thing in the summer so I called and demanded to be taken out of their system and that I would now never use them again. Three months later they called again and this time I was working out of state and really had no desire to be bothered with them. I told them not to come. My mother was housesitting for me and she called to tell me they showed up on Thursday. I had her put the guy on and I told him to leave. They just called me again today.
I will NEVER use them again and will tell EVERYONE I know how they conduct business. They are the most ridiculous company I have ever dealt with. I would have given them zero stars but you would not let me. It is worth noting that I used them years ago when I lived in Atlanta and they were not like this at all. I don't know what happened to them but I wish I could tell the whole world what they are like now so no one would use them or at least they would do so knowing what they are getting into.

The field tech is very professional. At times the customer service reps can be hard to hear and understand. Overall happy with the service. Recommend that the tick application be available with out the mosquito spray. I have honey bees and don’t want the mosquito insecticide spray. I was told I had to both.

For the third/fourth time over the past three years, I've been the victim of horrible, horrible, horrible customer service by TruGreen. After being turned off by their service over the past couple years due to billing and poor communication, I decided to take another swing at bat given they seemed to be so determined to win back my service. So this last time around, the service was going GREAT for my lawn care, until about 10+ days ago. I get a call from a salesperson (4/28 or 4/29), who strongly encouraged that I sign-up for their mosquito service. After voicing my concerns for twenty minutes, I agreed to give the mosquito service a try but only one treatment (cost ~ $39). Both the sales rep and I agreed that I was NOT committing to nothing beyond the first treatment and the rep would need to call and get my approval for any future treatments.
On the morning of 4/30, the full amount for all treatments ($260.21) were drafted from my account. After calling them and expressing how infuriated I was, the customer service simply stated I had no recourse - but to wait 3-5 days for my funds to be returned by my bank. I called back on 4/30, same sentiment. After realizing my money had NOT been returned in the five-day window they said, I called on 5/4 and was informed that the notification to the bank to return my funds wasn’t sent to 5/3 and I would have to wait up an additional to 5 - 14 days before I received my funds.
I have yet to receive any phone call from management or any rep from the company to apologize or to explain what has occurred. I’m still waiting on my funds and there’s been no ETA on when that will occur. I've become so upset that I have since cancelled all services with this company: the mosquito treatment which never happened and the lawn care service that was going well. This has been an absolutely horrible experience and the poor service just continues over and over.

I signed up for TruGreen 3 weeks ago and paid the full year payment which is way higher than my previous provider assuming I would get a better service. At the time of registering to TruGreen, I talked to the salesperson and the manager and set up the initial service to be performed on April 27th, 2018, so that I can go over my concerns in the garden. I didn't receive a service call or no one showed up on 4/27 and then I shared my concerns, they set up 1st service for past Friday, May 4th. This time I got a reminder call BUT NO ONE SHOWED UP AGAIN.
I called day before service and requested the person to call me but did not even receive any call and did not get any treatment to the lawn once again for the second time. I just called again and requested someone set up the initial service for the third time but no call received yet. I am extremely disappointed with the TruGreen service. They don't care about customer's time and wasted two weeks now for the initial service. No one bothered to even give a call to reschedule it. VERY BAD SERVICE.

I used to use Scott's Lawn Service (and the lawn looked immaculate for over a decade [I have pictures from almost every year that you can see it looks like a baseball field]) and then they got bought out by TruGreen. On the second application from TruGreen their tech spray weed killer on my entire lawn by mistake and left me a note, not even apologizing, just saying he sprayed weed killer and I may see my grass turn brown for the summer. I wonder if he would have even left a note if my camera had not caught him (he looked right at it, then grabbed a ticket to write the note on).
I tried calling them, but you can't call the local office as it is redirected to the call center in some other state and all they can do is "get a message to the local branch to have someone call you", but that doesn’t happen. They said the local branch doesn't take calls directly due to the high number of complaints they get. I had to look up the address and go down there in person and talk to the General Manager, John **. At first, he seemed very willing to help and said exactly what was needed to lower my frustration, and promised my lawn would be restored to the way it used to look (never happened). Later on from August 2017 on, he never returned my phone calls or emails, refunded the wrong amount back and he had to fix it, and never followed up with me at all from August on. He had Tony and Ken ** work with me, by my lawn has never looked the same, and they don’t even follow-up any longer.
They wanted to do an aeration in September to help it, and scheduled it, then never showed up, called me back, tried to schedule it but said their schedule was full for the next week and they’d call me soon, and then never called. I had to make another trip down to the local office and call the call center nine times to finally get a call back and that person never called me back either. I finally got a hold of Ken ** and he said they forgot about the aeration and since it was the end of October, they stopped doing them for the season, but would be out next spring. I called him six times the following spring (spring 2018) and after not showing up three times, they finally came out, but only aerated the front and said they couldn’t do the back because of dogs and a locked gate.
I don’t have dogs or a locked gate. Also, my security camera footage shows the tech walking around to the back yard, talking on his cell phone and sitting in my lawn chair for almost half an hour, and then coming back to the front. When they did the front, they broke two sprinklers that I had to fix and they never came back to do the back yard, even after multiple called to the call center, Ken **, and Tony. I called the call center to cancel all services. The person told me that the Colorado Springs location has so many complaints that she’s not surprised.
One of their techs (came from Scott’s) that did an application last year told me their bread and butter is commercial/golf courses and they don’t really care about residential and he’s going to Lawn Doctor as soon as there’s an opening. He also told me that they don’t use Scott’s Fertilizer, they used a watered down version of the commercial grade stuff they apply. After I cancelled, I went down to the branch to let the GM know that I had enough and when I went in, I was asked what I needed, and I said I would like to talk to John ** as I have a complaint, and they said he only talks to happy customers and said he was out. I called his cell phone and left several messages-never heard back and I emailed him and never heard back.
Later in the week I got a call from Corporate Customer relations asking why I cancelled (a lady named Jasmine in Pennsylvania) and I explained everything to her and she said she would get it escalated to a regional manager and they would get my lawn fixed; never heard back. I called back again and no one knew who she was. DO NOT USE TRUGREEN IF YOU LIVE IN COLORADO SPRINGS… THEY PROVIDE TERRIBLE SERVICE. Use Lawn Doctor or someone else, or simply apply it yourself.

You called this past winter and said, "Give us another chance." I said, "Last year's service was terrible and your company was not treating the zoysia grass for weeds or fertilizing." Well needless to say I gave your company another chance, boy am I sorry now. Our neighbors were wanting to know who is doing our yard. I know word of mouth is the best advertising, of course I told them TruGreen. I am sure you will get lots of new clients because of the great job your company is doing on our yard.
Our neighbor on North & West of us does nothing to his lawn, and it looks better than ours. I know for a fact the credit card has been billed. You said you would make sure our yard would be taken care of. I sent you a note about little yellow flowers, no one has came to treat yard. With bang up job you are doing on our yard, by the end of the season we will probably not have to mow grass, it will all be dead. Your company is about to kill our Zoysia grass.
The weeds are about take over Zoysia. You said you would have someone come out and treat yard, no one has been here. I want the yard treated for weeds and fertilized. They need to treat before we have no grass at all. Four years ago our yard was one of best yards in the neighborhood, now it ranks last, thanks to your great service. Something has to be done. Our yard is absolutely horrible. Do not let my zoysia be overgrown with weeds. I do not think your company is done anything to the zoysia. If the zoysia dies, I expect your company to replace. Not happy customer.

I spent $1200 on sod. I used a front tine tiller to till up my old lawn and I laid new sod last year. A TruGreen Lawn guy knocked on my door. He told me he was working on my neighbor's lawn and wanted to know if I wanted to start service with TruGreen. He promised me that his service would get rid of weeds and keep my lawn green. I paid $300+ for one year of service.
TruGreen offered to put plugs in my yard. They said it would help my yard become green. We paid $150 for the plugs. Nine days ago, TruGreen came and put in the plugs. We followed his directions and watered every day. Today, every one of the plugs is dead. When I talk to TruGreen, I only got excuses. Great people...

I have been a customer with TruGreen Lawn Care / Tree & Shrubs / Irrigation for four years. The technicians who come to my property have all been excellent and even when obviously very busy they never rush the job and always have time to talk about any issues. Because they are so great it is with reluctance that I intend to cancel all services with TruGreen and use a local company who I can speak to.
TruGreen have a call center that just do not deliver a service and cause me so much frustration that I intend to go elsewhere. I understand when a technician is running late as it happens but the call center will not communicate and will only send a message which is never replied to. I have a gated property and waited in all day as I was told he would still be arriving even though it was way past 5.00PM. I asked for the technician to contact me to give him instructions on how to get in as I needed to go out but after two phone calls hours apart there was still no contact.
I rang the General Manager of Orlando on two occasions to try to sort out the regular failure to attend but still no response after two messages. In frustration I rang the Call Center asking to speak to someone to complain at the lack of service but was told they would send a message to someone to get back to me. I explained that served no purpose as they were just not responding and that was part of my complaint. I asked to speak to someone in Texas where the call center is and presumably someone with authority over my local branch. I was told that was not possible and all they could do was leave a message.
I asked to speak to the operator's immediate manager but she refused to pass me to anyone else and said that no one could do anything but leave messages. I really wanted to deal with TruGreen but after been offered no help I reluctantly warn others of my awful customer service. The are clearly too large to offer a personal service - such a shame.
Updated on 05/13/2018: I had my review replied to by TruGreen stating that customer care was important to them and could I write privately which I did a week ago - guess what no reply from them. I notice they say that on all negative reviews and wonder how many people are just ignored as I have been. Very disappointing as TruGreen clearly have admin issues rather than actual lawn service issues. Asking us to reply privately and then ignoring us is not good customer service. I sent verification of my account so TruGreen have my contact details so no excuse.

Louisville Middletown Trugreen: This service was the worst service of my homeowner history. I paid for the full program including fall over seed. It was expensive, but I thought it would help. I have a sprinkler system so the pictures you see are not drought related. The technician one time never got out of his truck, but claimed he treated. One ivy bed was killed after a treatment. The over seed was done, but there were very few seeds visible even in the bare spots. It was done very late in the fall. A chemical treatment right after the seeding resulted in no seed ever germinating. The last treatment was in Feb and should have been pre-emergent for crabgrass. My yard is full of crabgrass... I also have some weed-like grass (light green in the attached picture) that I will likely have to totally kill this coming fall... The resolution to these problems was always met with... "We will treat again" or trying to up-sell to something else. Avoid these guys at all costs.

After my daughter pass away in January 2017. I wanted to do something special at the grave site at Queen of Heaven Cemetery and knowing the site will be visited by a lot of family and friend this year. I though it would be nice to have the grave site maintain by a professional company like TruGreen Lawn Care. So I enter into an agreement on February 28, 2018 (after visiting the site on my birthday). Well I contacted the company office in Hickory Hill, IL. What a big mistake, I had them calling me every days about it, different people, different department.
Finally I was contacted by Richard **, he told me he would take care of everything and would even to the site and do a site visit to make sure everything is going to be what I needed. Two days later he called me to set up a plan for me after visiting the site. I like the plan so I agreed and paid my cost and enter into an agreement. I send in my 400.00 and I was. I called him in March to confirm everything because I did not heard from him. He did say they received the check and that I needed to provide him with the location of the site for the care worker, I told him that he knew about the site because he told me he was there and he would take care of everything. Well I just send him all of the information he needed to get started again.
Well I visited the site on April 28 and nothing has been done, nothing! I have been calling and calling and leaving messages and as of today no one has called me back and the site looks like **... Well big deal they beat me out of 400.00. If they needed it that bad I would have just gave the money. And Rich if you get this message you know everything I said is true. And by the way I have phone records, and emails. It's too late anyways. I wanted it started before Mother's day. Keep the money. But buyers beware!
Updated on 05/17/2018: Back in January of 2018 I was looking for lawn service for cemetery plots where my loved ones are buried in Queen of Heaven Cemetery. After placing an inquiry call to TruGreen service I was bombarded with so many call about service. I finally touch base with one of their service text. In fact he was the manager in Hickory Hills. After many calls and email he finally persuaded me in some service that would fulfill my needs. Unfortunately for me it was all a bunch of lies just to sell me the product. I did send him a check. They did cash the check but as of today no service was ever provided for my love one. I have made countless calls, left messages, talk to people and as of today nothing has been done.
After talking to the manager and him lying to me telling me that it was actually at the cemetery looking at the plot when she was not then he lied again and told me service was provided the next day and I went to the cemetery and it was not after all that, I did call Memphis Tennessee their customer service and I asked them they have someone call me so I can get my money back and of course as of today no one has called me back. At this point I just want my money back and I will find someone else that could handle job. I think the job was overwhelming for them. Maybe they're good for a little patch of grass in front of your house or something you know where it's not too much of a big deal for them to get to work to. Fine but you give him a challenge they're not up to the task.
I did read a lot of articles about David Alexander and in and out in 2017. In 2018 all of his employees are very happy to be working for their company. I would be too if I was ripping off the consumer. They just should have told me this was overwhelming for them and they couldn't handle the job instead of lying to me just to rip me off. As I stated before at this point it's pretty much over with they can't catch up and do what they said they were going to do and my loved ones final resting place hasn't been taken care of since they lied and didn't do it. I just want my money back.

It was raining off and on yesterday and I figured the lawn treatment would be called off. Nope, here came the truck. The driver, who was lacking common sense, drove the truck through the yard where it meets the road. He did this for no reason. There was no traffic. Now I have ruts in my yard. I also told him that treating my yard in rainy conditions was idiocy. I called the company and the CSR was very understanding and nice. However, instead of getting someone on the phone who could address the issue, they want to send out someone in the next 3 business days. My rescheduling was TWO WEEKS away! Really? They charged my card and never sent a confirmation or receipt. This is totally unacceptable and I will be looking for another lawn care company. Someone needs to buy them a vowel!!!

This has been documented I'm told. Please see my service file. I have spoken with two managers. Missed appointments, broken promises and sub par application or watered down chemicals. Seems that as time goes on Trugreen gets worse. For the money I am spending I may as well do it myself.

The services that have been provided by TruGreen has been a marked improvement over the last company that I used. The technicians are knowledgeable and courteous. They ask if I have any problem areas or concerns with my yard and they work to address them. My yard looks good and TruGreen gets a lot of the credit for the appearance.

Service was rendered on April 24, 2018 with fertilizer, but my yard needed weed killer. The specialist Anthony ** did a great job in explaining what he was doing. So I called on the April 25, 2018 to let TRUGREEN know that my yard needed weed killer, not fertilizer. They sent Anthony ** out on April 30, 2018 and again he did a great job. I AM Pleased with the service.

TruGreen absolutely destroyed my lawn. They treated for clover and killed most of my Bermuda grass. They came out two weeks with the aerator and completely plowed up my yard. A supervisor came out and was going to send a crew out to fix my lawn. Today 5/3/18 one guy showed up and rode over the same area no crew. What a mess. Also two weeks ago they dug into my sprinkler system. I had it repaired and marked and it was hit again today. TruGreen is not a professional lawn service. I also canceled two other services that I had with them.

I prepaid at the end of January for 4 applications. It is the end of April and I notice ALL of my neighbors' lawns have been serviced, mine clearly has not. My neighbor next door uses TruGreen and his lawn has been serviced. Apparently, TruGreen had my first application scheduled for the end of May and the second application scheduled for the following week. I have been treated as if I am an afterthought and with less priority than those who have not prepaid. Whoever is in charge of scheduling is an idiot and should be fired!
Your CEO, or at least the person who took this decision making away from the local vendors, is an idiot! Because of the scheduling done to me, after this summer, I will never use TruGreen again and I will tell others. By the way, I am HOA President in my development and I am frequently asked for recommendations for services. Only after I complained did I get my FIRST application and all others, rescheduled for early in May rather than at the end of May.

We use to have lawn service contract with Scotts. They were bought out a few years back by TruGreen. What a difference in care. It became so bad, that we switched to a local provider. They to proved to be substandard, so TruGreen asked for us to give them another try. They stated that they were getting many complaints and were trying to rectify the situation. So we did. We had our Bermuda treated April 4th. We have so many weeds and nut grass now, May 3, that it's looking terrible. To top it off, yesterday TruGreen was sending around a lawn service representative, a young girl newly hired to knock on doors and sell their service. I actually engaged her and she stated, "Your lawn isn't looking too good" and pointed out all the nut grass sprouting everywhere.
I informed her that was because we have service with TruGreen again. Yes, she was embarrassed and stated that due to all the complaints TruGreen was providing a retreatment for weed control due to the weather. I called local office and they said they would. I'm now waiting to see if TruGreen has gotten any better. And the retreatment. With Scotts we use to have a wonderful front yard through drought conditions, rain conditions, and any weather conditions. With TruGreen we get excuses. We will let them finish out the year and if things continue as before, switch to the services are neighbors are using.

I responded to a TruGreen flier by calling their 800 number. I spoke to "Gregory" for 30 minutes or so, and received a reasonable estimate for my lawn care. He told me I would receive a confirmatory return call in a few minutes, to seal the deal and give a starting date for their services. So far, so good. I did not get a call until the following day from another 800 number. I was at work, and could not retrieve that call. When I did call them back, however, they had no record of my name, address, phone #, or verbal agreement!
I then called the original 800 number. They did find my information, but the oddly illiterate, rambling salesperson stated that my original agreement could not be honored, and offered me a higher priced proposal. When I politely requested to speak to her supervisor, her response was "he'll just tell you the same thing I just said". Either TruGreen is rife with incompetent employees, or they are running some sophisticated bait-and-switch operation to waste our time, and anger potential customers. I recommend you avoid them, and seek a reputable company for your lawn care.

The service with TruGreen is horrible. I have requested on numerous occasions not to apply if I am not at home because the service people are never the same ones and they do not know how to apply on my property. My grass looks like total crap and I have requested over six times with the company to not come in the later afternoon and they refuse my request. I have asked every new person to please document my account of how I need applications to be applied when I'm home and they still refuse.
I have called customer service. They had rescheduled my appointment. I'm sitting here waiting and the company never showed up and when I called they claimed that my appointment was never set for the time so I told them that if they did not show up that I was going to cancel my service with them. I have been dealing with this company for 4 years. Spent Mega Money to have them do my lawn and for my lawn to look like crap and to get the poor customer service that I get. This company sucks.

In 2017 I had TruGreen service for four separate properties. My plan was to try skipping a year to save money. To see how bad things would get without treatments. Their treatments improved the appearance of my lawns. But they were entirely deaf to the fact that I only wanted one year. Their contract says you have to call and cancel. That phone call did me no good. I wish I had demanded an acknowledgement in writing before I ever agreed to the first year. I told their people when I caught them to be sure it was canceled but that did not work.
They tried to apply treatments this spring. One place they put it on without my knowing it and I got billed for that. When I called to complain I was told that they were sorry for the mix up and that I should disregard the bill. But I have received two bills since. Doesn't it seem stupid on their part to pester me for the price of one application, which they have no right to anyway, when next year's service on four homes hangs in the balance? TruGreen you may treat grass just fine but you treat people badly.

Hi, season just started. I have been with this company for many years. Now, I am cancelling my contract with them and the reason is that I can't trust this company anymore. My backyard has installed gate and it's locked. Since I have the dog. I keep it locked until I open it. It just happened that I didn't open gate on April 27. There is no key from my gate. It has different system of locking/unlocking. On April 27 technician came to do service. I was not home but my kids were home. He did front yard (I hope) but didn't do backyard, he left note just mentioning that service has been provided and charged me $70.40 for job has not been done. My kids also confirmed that they saw him in front of the house. Will look for different company to do grass. I hope to find better one. So everyone, please be aware of this scam.

On 4/6/18 my wife and I contacted TruGreen and agreed to lawn service for the front and side yard. The phone representative told me he looked at the lawn via satellite. Measured it and noticed the brown and bare spots. He told me the premium service which included aeration, seed, fertilizer, weed control and insect control will clean up the lawn and correct the problem. He also told me this would be started immediately.
On 4/14/18 TruGreen worker showed up and spread TruComplete on the lawn. He was done in 5 minutes. I asked him "What about aeration and seed"? He told me "I don't do that" and he left. I assumed someone else was coming for that work. On 4/27/18 I was tired of waiting for someone else to come from TruGreen and I call them. I was told aeration and seeding was done in the fall. I told the representative I was advised that this would be the first service and that every lawn in my neighborhood was done already. She told me she can contact my service agent and he will drop off seed. I told the representative that I was not receiving the service I was assured I was going to get and I told her to cancel my contract and refund my payment. Waiting patiently for the refund.

Had been a customer for 20 years. Lived through the years when they were supposed to have treated for grubs and we got grubs and various times over the years when treatment was not properly applied. However, when my lawn was damaged by their treatment twice in one season, I had had enough. I called and complained, told them I wasn't paying for the final treatment of the year which had damaged the lawn (which their "lawn care specialist" confirmed when he came out to look at the damage).
In February, I was shocked when a received a letter that my $60 balance was unpaid and sent to a debt collector. I called and received a call back a few days later that the balance had been removed and we were all set. When we didn't get a call about our first treatment date in mid-April, I called and was told that my account was suspended. Was told it would be fixed and we would be scheduled for treatment. Other week goes by and I call again and I'm told the issue was fixed. Two days later, account is still on hold. Don't know why I kept calling to try and be their customer. Happy to report I've called a new lawn service and will never use this company who has HORRIBLE customer service ever again.

I love this service and every single person that has been to my house!! The service I am most impressed with is the mosquito treatment! We live in a house surrounded with azalea bushes, trees etc. We also have a pond by our house and live directly across from a small lake. My grandkids visit and live the outside. We had the yard treated when we first moved in and have not seen 1 single mosquito, or flea. And the serviceman was back in 30 days just like promised! I have been telling all my friends and family about TruGreen!

I had TruGreen for two years. Mid last summer I started noticing increasing dead patches, moss and weeds. Illinois was in the drought and I kept watering all through August. I even threw down some of my own grass seed that came up. When the weather improved in October, I noticed that my lawn had dead patches not coming back. I asked TruGreen when they were doing overseed and they told me overseed and aeration were done in August. In the middle of the drought. TruGreen came out in early December to aerate my lawn again, even though I told them not to bother and do it first thing in the spring, along with overseed, I was willing to pay extra, but no one listened. It snowed 2 days later (northern Illinois). As I was heading out of the country, I just shook my head how can any lawn service do anything in December in this zone. When I returned and got my first renew notice, I canceled my service.
In early March I started getting calls and emails from TruGreen, along with Pete, a local supervisor who promised to come out and review my concerns. I told him that I wanted spring overseed or some direction, so I can have a lawn this year. Foolishly I agreed to renew. Imagine my surprise on Friday afternoon to get a call from Robot Rudy. On Monday, 3/26, tech came out and I wasn't home, so he did "TruGreen service" applying fertilizer. Oh, I have no weeds and my lawn is "thin" (never mind that it snowed several times next 2 weeks after and weeds have no chance to come out).
After 2 years of TruGreen, I have crabgrass, creeping bellflower, dead patches, a tuft of the lawn here and there, the healthiest the small patch I did with leftover grass seed to see what my lawn could be like. I have 0 evidence that TruGreen ever seeded. I have 0 new growth other than what I did. Pete promised to call me after I complained that he did not come out as promised instead of the robo call and first service which did nothing for my lawn. He said he'll check my records and call back. Never happened. I canceled again last weekend (have it in writing) and will never renew or recommend. I have signed up with another lawn service that can hopefully rescue the trainwreck you left me with.
All you had to do is call, care, and work with me to recommend the best service for my lawn. And show results. Oh no, instead you wanted to sell me mosquito treatment. I will take a video of my "TruGreen" 2 years later (2018 spring) lawn so I can show everyone to stay away from you folks. It wasn't about the "money," I paid all your bills including the 2018 nonsense. It was all about caring about my lawn and letting me have one. Sad. I wish no further contact from TruGreen ever again. Please remove me from all of your records and do not call/email/contact again. You 100% failed me. Oh and those "difficult to get rid of weeds" that you noted last year, I had to google myself. Creeping bellflower. I'd think a serious lawn service can ID the weed without homeowner having to google?

We are generally pleased with our shrub care (which is all we’ve contracted) but they never seem to mention things like fungus or insect damage. One would think that someone who comes to fertilize our shrubs would notice and mention such an issue in the report.

I signed up for the lawn service and the tree and shrub care. The service itself was very good. Almost immediately after signing up, I started getting regular sales calls to try to upsell me to the mosquito protection. I canceled the tree and shrub care after a few months as I didn't see a difference. Immediately I started getting sales calls for tree and shrub. Annoyed by this, I canceled my entire service. The sales calls continued. Then TruGreen showed up to perform an aeration service which I did not request or authorize. I was supposed to be completely canceled at this point. My wife was home and stopped them before they did the work. She let them know that we did not request aeration, we did not authorize the work and we do not want it performed.
Shortly thereafter, I got another automated message call that my aeration service had been rescheduled. At this point I called in and was quite firm and probably unpleasant in my request to TERMINATE ANY AND ALL SERVICE AND STOP CALLING ME. That worked for the rest of the season. I just received an automated call that my lawn is going to be serviced tomorrow. I called in, spoke with a supervisor. I reaffirmed TERMINATE ANY AND ALL SERVICE AND STOP CALLING ME. I called back in and spoke to another person to see if I had actually been canceled. I was still set up for aeration only. Good God. These people are either so disorganized that they cannot run their business, or maliciously attempting to provide services I did not authorize.
I hated to have to terminate my services and leave such a scathing review as my lawn looked really good. However, TruGreen has been extremely dishonest in their dealings with me. I am hoping that this review will let them know I mean business. At the very least, it will serve as documentation. If this happens again, I will take legal action.

We have had 2 visits from TruGreen, and have been careful to cover all the lawn that they had agreed to cover. We are satisfied with their performance to date. The weeds are becoming yellow, and the grass is becoming much greener.

I had used TruGreen a number of years ago, this week a man from the Plymouth office came by my house and spoke to me about using TruGreen. He gave me a brochure and I told him I was not interested. After thinking about it I decided to give them a call. They gave me a quote with the dollar amount and I asked if they would send what they will do for the money. It took three calls and I received another quote with nothing except how much the service would be. I really believe the BBB should look into this. We should receive a list of what they will do with the bill invoice.

I prepaid 700$ for a year, neighbors signed up after me and got plugs put in yard before me and the tech canceled my appointment same day they did neighbors' yard with plugs right next door and then canceled next 4 times they were suppose to do my plugs. Kept getting run around from customer service and then they said the manager was gonna call me to talk. Never did so after three weeks and still no plugs. I canceled TruGreen. Was my worst experience with a company ever then they charged me $100 for two services they performed before the plugs were suppose to be put in, first was for weed killer next was for potash treatment. I think I should have been charged anything since they didn’t do anything for my yard and didn’t hold up their end of the bargain!

I had TruGreen Lawn Care service for a couple of years. Then I decided to go with another company about 3 years ago. I paid off TruGreen and went with the other service. They continue to call me at WORK over and over again to ask why I left their service. I told them at first, but they continue to call. I told them to stop calling that I had already told them why. They continue to call. Just got one yesterday, and they called last week. This is the number of the guy who continues to call asking the same darn question. **

We have been TruGreen Prepaid customers for many years. For the first few years, it was pretty good. One of our neighbors actually signed up for TruGreen service after seeing our lawn. However, for the past several years, our own lawn has been deteriorating with more and more weeds. As of today, two-thirds of the front yard is filled with chickweeds. We have lost the normal grass due to the spread of weeds. We have handed our beautiful lawn to the wrong hand. They put applications without evaluating the yard and come without checking the weather condition. We are so disappointed with TruGreen "service".

I have 3 concerns about my experience with TruGreen. First, the technicians who came never realized that my lawn is zoysia grass and requires a slightly different type of care from other lawns. It seemed to me that TruGreen has a "One Size Fits All" sort of lawn maintenance schedule, and that they apply that schedule no matter what type of lawn they are servicing. Different types of lawns require different types of care. But it seemed to me as though TruGreen either didn't realize that zoysia is not the same as other types of grass, or that they really didn't care.
My second area of concern is that in just about every interaction I had with TruGreen, they were trying to upsell me to a different service or product. The few times when the technician spoke with me, he was always trying to convince me that I needed something for my bushes or something for another part of my yard. I always had the uneasy feeling that TruGreen's real concern was to get more money rather than to care for my lawn. This feeling was reinforced when I received (unsolicited) calls from TruGreen, attempting to sign me up for new lines of service. When I said that I was not interested, the TruGreen representative started the "hard sell". I did not appreciate the calls attempting to sell me something that I likely didn't need, and I really resented the TruGreen representative's refusal to accept a "No, Thank You" from me.
The third area of concern has to do with their billing. It is very confusing, and I never knew exactly what I owed or when I needed to pay. This had something to do with signing up early for a discount (something I am convinced I did), but then receiving bills from TruGreen that made it appear as though I was not receiving the discount I had signed up for, (These billing statements invited me to sign up for a discounted bonus). In any event, at the end of the season, TruGreen said I still owed them some money, and they threatened to send my bill to collection unless I paid.
All in all, my experience with TruGreen was not satisfactory. My lawn was not damaged. However, my lawn did not receive the care I thought I was paying for. Additionally, TruGreen seemed, during the course of the time I had a contract with them, to be much more interested in marketing new product and service lines to me that they were in providing the service I had contracted them to do. And their billing process was opaque and, in my view, misleading.

We have been using this service going on five years now. We used to have the best looking lawn in the neighborhood. However the past 2 years it’s gone downhill. We are usually never home when the service takes place, however we have surveillance throughout the estate. And I can honestly say that no one has ever taken a minute to evaluate my lawn. It’s the same routine, the driver pulls up unloads the truck and starts the work. And it’s always the same generated message on the bill. "Your grass looks good." I noticed a little weed and crab grass. I would expect these experts to really evaluate the situation and come up with a solution.
I have lived here for 6 years and have never aerated my lawn, I would think that they would recommend but no. Actually after doing some research on my own I called to request that service. Since I’m paying the experts I thought my job was to mow the lawn and water which I do as recommended. I have to give credit to customer service. Every time we’ve called they have always seemed to care. And the price is fair. Since we use their mosquito service as well. All I want is someone with real knowledge to come out evaluate, and speak to me on how we can correct these lawn issues I been having. And come up with a solution. I almost forgot to mention I have neighbors without irrigation and does not use your service and their lawn looked better than mine last year and thus far this spring.

I installed sod on March 31 2017 and hired TruGreen around April 4 and paid in full for one year. My lawn is destroyed. Totally burnt and insect infested. I followed all instructions from serviceman each month. After 7 months I began receiving bills for monthly service. Called company several times and had unsatisfactory answers as to why I'm being billed 5 months before my year was up. Company sucks on all levels.

My yard did have several yellow spots last year. However, it looks much better this year due to diligent efforts of the new tech (**). He deserves a 5 star rating for his works. However, I rate 4 star because the payment is a little bit pricey.

Used TruGreen last year and they completely messed up my lawn. A week after they came and "serviced" my lawn there were dead patches everywhere not to mention they did a horrible job. I watched them from my window purposely skip parts of my yard. I will NEVER use them again and would recommend people do not use them. They did NOT handle the problem in a professional manner and "forced" me to still pay. TruGreen, more like Tru-Scam!

I had a one year subscription with TruGreen. I sold my house prior to the end of my contract and let the current homeowner benefit for six months of service that was paid for. I notified TruGreen when they called that I had sold the house and did not want to continue service once the subscription was over. Today, I had to pay an additional 167.00 that was sent to a collection agency for service that I did not agree to. I will never work with this company in the future. I also requested for a manager to call to discuss the situation. Instead of a manager, I got a call from a collection agency. Oh by the way, when TruGreen called I owed 68.00 but when the collection agency called I owed 167.00.

April, 9, 2018... I hired TruGreen on March 2018 because they are well-known. Anyway, I just recently purchased their services and I believed that I would get a personal touch. I believed that a technician would come to my door, speak with other, myself or my wife and get to know our lawn and touch base with my concerns and needs. NOPE! The technician came out while I was at work and wife at home. I left gate opened and according to my wife, he just went straight to work. Was there maybe 10ish minutes and poof, gone like the wind. No knock on the door to announce his arrival, not even a “Hello (insert name), I’m about to enter your property, what concerns do you have today?”
The technician left a note of what he did and left. I can hire Jimmie nobody with that kind of service. When it comes to their customer service, they hire VERY friendly people who seem to make sure your concerns get documented and manager called me back in a timely fashion. The manager said that the technician told him that he knocked on my door, but no answer. Wow! Was that a bold face lie. As far as my grass goes in its early stages, the weeds are almost gone, except a few that he missed, but manager said he will address those at his next visit. Ok... Overall, the service is quick, and easy and they don’t leave any mess behind. I will update this post in 6 months and see if things change. Hope this review helped.

I used this service for two years. The parts of my yard that they actually sprayed looked great. I caught them more not fertilizing my backyard on at least three occasions. The first occasion the manager tried to tell me I was mistaken because the tech said he did it and wouldn’t lie. After a day the manager from Franklin Mass called me back and apologized and said the tech was confused and said he missed the backyard. He immediately sent the tech back out and the situation was resolved. The manager was extremely nice and provided his cell phone for any future issues.
The next spring my service was transferred to Chelmsford Mass. Twice throughout the year the tech skipped my backyard. I sent email after email and never got a response. At the end of the year TruGreen called trying to get me to re-up for a third year. When I told them about my issues, the great resolution was a 15 dollar refund. I was paying over 200 a year for their service and almost every time I was home I caught them not fertilizing the area I paid for. I would not recommend this service to anyone. I paid for service I didn’t receive and spent hours waiting for return calls and emails that never came until they wanted me to pay up for another year. For the same price you can do it yourself.

I have a very positive experience with TruGreen since starting service in October 2016 because of an infestation of sod worms that almost turned my nice yard into a mud pit. From the first application, the tide was turning against the pests and it has taken this long to begin to recover back to the nice yard it once was. Most of the credit belongs to the substances used to combat the pests and the weeds prevalent in this area, but my Technician, Scott **, methodically applied the substances, provided spot-on recommendations for watering and future applications and ensured the close monitoring of the regrowth. The yard has responded thanks to his knowledge and expertise. It will probably take until the end of this year to bring it back to its original glory, but the journey has been worth it. I will continue to use this service to help prevent any future problems with my yard.

I received a promotional advertising in the mail. I called to ask about the service and the salesman asked for a credit card number before explaining the service. When I asked what service does this company provide- he hung up. I called back and spoke to a different salesperson. I explained that the first person hung up and I only wanted to understand what service TruGreen is providing. The advertisement I received states that, “36 of your neighbors already have TruGreen lawns” so I asked if I can have references. She gave me the runaround, and could not answer the simplest questions that any contractor would be happy to provide in order to promote their business. My feeling is that this is a predatory scam business at best. Who would agree to a year long lawn care contract without being able to confirm references? Buyer beware.

The technicians have been very friendly and helpful when I have questions. In fact they ask if I have any questions. They have always rung the doorbell to tell me they have arrived. They respect our property and it is a pleasure to have them work on my yard. The lawn is looking great after we signed, originally with Scotts.

I guess I'm just fed up. My husband pays for this service and on several occasions they would come out say they treated the yard and never came in the back. Sometimes I work from home and my office is the back room where I can see anyone who would be in the yard, but they were never back there. My most recent complaint is the last time they came out and treated the yard, I was here and they did treat the yard, but my dog has been having reactions ever since. When calling TruGreen to get the name of the chemical used so that I can inform my Vet, they have no records of them coming out. We have a bill for that day, and it says we received TruHealth Lawn Service, yet the rep on the phone found no records of us receiving treatment that day, is it because we started the call off with our pet is having a reaction to the chemical?
And now so conveniently they have no record, even though I was here, can describe both guys, the time frame they came and we have a bill for that day? As a pet owner, this is disheartening and I just want to know what was used so that I can have my dog properly treated but I guess you guys don't care about that. And we were told a manager may not get back to us until next Monday, a whole 6 days away and we are calling about the welfare of our dog, REALLY? We are CANCELLING your service. Treatment date 3/21/2018 my dog has been having issues as of that day. Hmm, no record of the service??? The customer number on the billing for this service will be provided in the "order number" in this complaint form. Statement date of 3/22/2018, the day after the service, total due $46.95, but you have no record of this service and you can't help me help my dog.

Prepaid $581 for 1 year contract. My front yard is sod and they did manage to control the weeds. My back and side yards did not benefit one bit from TruGreen. Back and side yards look no better than my neighbors that did nothing. When asked to prepay for another year, I declined so they just showed up and did a treatment anyway, then billed me for $51. I went ahead and paid because that's easier than trying to argue with an unscrupulous company. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY.

Before using TruGreen my yard had two problem areas. TruGreen said it was a easy fix. They killed my entire lawn! We have nothing even after they seeded this fall. They are horrible. And customer service is doesn’t respond either! I just want my beautiful lawn back.

Where do I start on this. Had TruGreen start to treat our lawn to fix it. They came and treated our trees and bushes without us knowing and kill a bush and avocado tree in the backyard. Had sod laid down by them and was told after 30 days would come back out to inspect and fix any areas that didn’t take. Was able to talk to the manager and said they would get someone which they never did. More than a couple times they have come out and said they “treated” the whole lawn but would’ve been impossible since gate to the backyard was locked. They also didn’t treat the backyard once when my fiancée was home and watched them. I insisted that they make sure I’m home when they treated but they never did. This was back in July of 2017. Needless to say service was cancelled.
Fast forward to March 2018 and have had numerous calls with them insisting a manager would call me back but it has yet to happen. Right now one side of my backyard has died off. Weeds took over in the areas that didn’t take and overall yard looks like crap. (And if you are wondering TruGreen, the weeds took hold even while you were supposedly “treating” so don’t get the idea it was because I cancelled service.) The company basically comes down to once they get their money they don’t give a care about their product or service. Highly disappointed and still waiting for it to get fixed. Let’s see if the manager calls on Monday when they said they will call next when I last hated with them. I would give 0 stars but unfortunately this site won’t let me to post a review.

After 13 months of treatment by TruGreen in Cary, NC, my once-lush front lawn is now almost all dead on one side, and the other is headed that way. The backyard had large dead spots in it, too. I have no idea how they did it. Last fall, they aerated and over-seeded, and during the entire year (including up to the last visit), they sprayed whatever it is they spray. Sometime in the fall, they spread something on the lawn, as well.
When I asked why my lawn was dead and dying, the service person looked at it and said perhaps the neighbor's Zoysia from across the street had spread to our yard. The dead spots don't look anything like dormant Zoysia. There was no attempt to remedy the situation or apologize for the mess. I canceled my service immediately. I recommend to others that you forget these lawn services, especially TruGreen, and do it yourself. The best looking lawns in our neighborhood are maintained by the owners, the worst by lawn services.

Prepaid March 2017. The only good thing about TruGreen is that they are prompt. That being said, my yard had more weeds in this past year than any other year I’ve been living in this house. I ended up using a Bayer product that attaches to my hose and it killed the weeds in a few days. This is all but a moot point. The real disturbing issue I have is that TruGreen uses what they call an auto-renewal policy. This policy states that you have to contact them and cancel their service. If you don’t they will show up and continue service. Initially when I was setting up the service you would think that they would disclose this fact. They don’t. When you get your statement for the first time there is a page two that you have to pay close attention to. Be aware of your state laws in regards to auto-renewal of contracts. For example, I looked up auto-renewal laws under nc.gov. HB 502 was the first entry to come up.
These laws govern companies such as TruGreen and detail each step TruGreen must take before they can charge a customer in a new year. What’s interesting is that I’ve spoken to their billing department on several occasions and asked for their proof of the last statement they sent to me. This statement by law is to notify me of their auto-renewal policy. They did send a copy which was dated mid-October. Then I have sent them 3 emails asking them what was the date of the new cycle year. Amazingly I have had no reply to my request. NC state law requires TruGreen to notify me no later than 14 days and no earlier than 45 days prior to the new cycle beginning which from all that I’ve read is Jan 1st. Now if you do the math that doesn’t meet NC law. So now I’m in limbo and hopefully by writing this complaint somebody from TruGreen can return my emails and explain to me why they can’t handle this issue.

After contacting TruGreen in regards to mole crickets, I was assured service by end of week. As caregiver for my elderly parents, I explained it was necessary for me to be contacted as to when technician would be coming, as I need to open gate and be home. Week went by, no call, no technician. Left 2 messages for my local supervisor and an e-mail, no response. Following week, while I was out with my parents, my son called me to say that the TruGreen tech was there. No call, no advance warning, like I requested. Tech did his thing and left me the paperwork on what was done. No pesticides to work on mole crickets, but fertilized. What happened to my mole cricket request? Called customer service, and then spoke to my local supervisor, who told me told me I would get a call to handle the mole crickets.
Customer service had told me there was a TruGreen app, that would show me when tech was on his way, my local supervisor, did not tell me about it, because he was unaware of it!! Days go by, no call. I called customer service again, spoke to Amanda, who assured me she would handle. By the way, there were no notes in my account about calling me before arriving. A week goes by, no call from TruGreen. I call customer service again, spoke to Eric. Now Eric said that he was very sorry for my lack of response, and after explaining how his "team" is all about customer service and he PROMISED that he would positively get back to me in max 2 days.
Guess what? NO CALL!!! A national brand NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. I had paid in full for the year, which I am now requesting a full refund. Not quite sure how TruGreen stays in business. I was a brand new customer, and was not given the common courtesy of a follow up call! I strongly suggest that those seeking a lawn care service to avoid TruGreen.

Horrible customer service. I called in November requesting my services to be canceled, they said that I had two services remaining for the year 2017 so they could go ahead and do those for a discounted price of $30, I said sure but after that I want the services canceled. They said, "Sure thing, we will contact you at the start of the New Year to see if you would like to start services again at that time," I said okay. Here we are in March, no phone call or anything, sounds okay, right? WRONG! I come home from work and there is a receipt for $60.00 on my door stating a service was performed.
I stated in November I wanted my account canceled, I received no phone call, no email, nothing in the mail stating a service would be performed in March because as far I was concerned my account was canceled, I only received a receipt on the door and an email stating the service had been completed. I called TruGreen and they refuse to credit my account for this service that I did not want. If we ever decided to use a lawn care company again, I can guarantee it will not be with this company. My parents had the same issue with them years ago but I gave them the benefit of the doubt, boy was I wrong to do so!!! I have since spoken to someone on the phone and chat both of which refuse to credit my account for the full amount to where I owe nothing. All they have done is credit my account for half the cost of the service, which I never wanted or requested in the first place.

I am writing this review to warn other homeowners of TruGreen's subpar work. After our new lawn was laid we hired Scotts Lawn Care to manage the pest and weed control etc. Scotts did a wonderful job. The lawn was lush and green for a year. They were then taken over by TruGreen. Our lawn, within a few months looked terrible. After repeated call outs because of fungus and dead patches everywhere, and no one with any knowledge to fix the problem, they had to replace part of it. They did this with plugs rather than new sod. 4 months later it still looked terrible with other parts of the lawn dying also. Every complaint was met with a call out and promises to resolve the problem, however, the issues were never solved.
Our yard now looks terrible after spending a fortune on new sod only 2 years ago. My neighbor also used the same service, Scotts and then TruGreen. They also had the same experience. Their lawn looks dead too. We were both meticulous about watering and at the correct time of day. Needless to say, after more than a year of excuses and bad grass we have let them go.

I tried TruGreen years ago and they did a good job, so I decided to try them again after years of taking care of my lawn myself. They informed me of the day they were coming so I stayed home and waited for them so I could put my dog in the garage. They never showed up. I called the company and they said they didn't have me on the schedule for the day. They rescheduled for a week later. When the guy showed up to spray my lawn, he sat in his truck for 20 minutes. I had to walk up to his truck before he would get out.
10 days later my weeds were still growing strong but my garden plants started to die. I scheduled a respray and again they didn't show up. I never received a respray. They showed up a week later to do my final spray. I told them I wanted to cancel my account. Since then I have received many phone calls from the company asking me how their service was. So many calls it has become annoying. I tell them about my experience and instead of fixing their mistakes they just offer me more services like aeration and bug treatment. I wish I never would have called them in the first place.

Got a prompt response after I inquire about their services, they explain all the plans they had and was able to enroll. Very efficient. On their first visit they provided a very detail report. Waiting to see results, but they have informed me about all the work they are doing and products they are using; I am very pleased with the service.

Not worth the money and hard sell. I tried them twice. The lawn was never worse than when they handled it. They're always willing to send someone out but nothing ever improves. They burned the lawn and didn't know why. When I foolishly tried them again the guy told me they changed the chemicals used. Truth? They auto-renew your services and bill you. If you try and cancel they then want to offer a discount. How about give you that price from the get go! Stay away. Support your little local business owner not this big corporate monster!

Contacted local company to apply herbicides and fertilizer last year and ending early 2018. New sod was installed early summer and I ask them to start later in season which they did. After applications of herbicides I notice grass had weeds and grass green was fading. Thought changes were due to season. In February crew came to apply Barricade and Potassium, which they did. Weeds never died. Called company again and they reapplied. I called and ask for someone to check yard... they didn't. I canceled services and requested refund... THEY REFUSED. My grass looks like it dying and weeds are very much alive.

I asked the guy if he got the inside of a smaller fenced area inside my backyard. He said no. I asked if he could please make sure he did that, he said he wasn’t allowed?? I have always had that done! It’s inside my yard!!! Also the weeds look like they got fertilized instead of killed!

Last fall in September 2017 I wanted to cancel my service with Trugreen. I spoke with service the rep. for Trugreen who then stated that my account was on now hold "until I called them to reactivate service". This month Feb. 2018 I found that Trugreen had applied service to my yard. I had not authorized Trugreen to take my account off hold or to treat my yard and was billed for the service. I called Trugreen to ask if my account was still on hold and they told me no it was not on hold, that it automatically activates itself with the new calendar year. I asked why I was never told of the automatic reactivation and why they serviced my yard without speaking to me first. The response I received was unacceptable. I was told the driver did call me while on his way to perform the service. Well I must have missed that call and also never received any voice messages either, so the man just shows up and performs the unapproved service.
Deceptive practice is what this is... I ask the customer service rep. if the practice of automatic reactivation is written anywhere and was told no it isn't. I asked the rep. to cancel my service and send me an email verification of cancellation and she said that she can't email me or mail me any written verification of cancellation. I was only given a confirmation number with no printed proof of cancellation. This is extremely suspect to me. A little research on Trugreen shows this to be a normal practice for them. Trugreen apparently is in the habit of automatically activating accounts that were on hold, continuing service after it was cancelled and continuing to bill people after cancellation. Shame on them. I will never use them again and will never advise anyone to use them.

Shortly after being sprayed by TruGreen January, 24, 2018, very healthy Holly foundation plants began to discolor and drop leaves. TruGreen was contacted in early February, sent a technician out on Feb 12, and with photos sent back to office said it was spider mites. Took dug up plants immediately to local nursery from whom plants were purchased, were examined, told me no bugs of any kind, suggest I take samples to local State Agricultural Center to send off for testing and a report, which I did. Report received and tried to contact and share with TruGreen, would not return initial phone calls, when I finally through home office made contact manager set up meeting to visit site and review problems. Never showed and never returned my calls.
At this time, have contacted TruGreen home office again, and requested help, as it appears TruGreen is not interested in resolving my issue or even reviewing problem. I do not have an answer yet as to reason plants died or wilted, but certainly TruGreen has been unwilling to assist in resolving issue. It appears TruGreen wants your business and as long as you don't have a problem, will be happy to accept your payments. I can think of no other reason they will not return calls, or keep appointments which they made.

I have used TruGreen twice, once when I lived in AL and now in GA. They down a decent job in AL -I was satisfied. Currently here this company has ruined my lawn. They never leave the notes from service call letting me know what was done, I’ve had to call them out to re-apply as the previous treatment was ineffective-I don’t think they applied anything but rather placed the sign in the yard. To that point, my grass has been taken over by weeds. They keep sending out “managers” that are going to take care of the problem but it progressively has gotten worse.
They admitted they were having personnel issues but that has no bearing on the condition of my lawn-I purchased a service and am a victim of fraud. I hope I can reach the CEO with my letter and photos. I expect a lawn replacement NOT more chemicals sprayed on my lawn...been there. Do not use these guys-read reviews before you hire a lawn care specialist. I suggest using mom and pop-you can establish a relationship with them and avoid a corporate black hole of mistruth and misrepresentation!

Shady sales personnel in Columbus, Georgia. Many of our neighbors have TruGreen service; therefore, the gentlemen are periodically knocking on our door to sell us a package, as well. In March 2017, we had several men approach us for this service. I opened the door and expressed, "No, thank you!". The next day, there was an attempted home invasion. All on surveillance, of course. Fast forward to February 2018... TruGreen representatives are knocking on our door, yet again. I called customer service yesterday and told them a Mr. ** would not leave the front of our home. Customer service stated, there was nothing they could do about a sales representative in the neighborhood. He parked his car and stood in front of the house, after I won't open the door (hanging around and talking on the phone). So suspect. Here we go again... I'm so scared the clock has started, once again, until the next attempted home invasion. "Wolves in sheep's clothing."

Customer service stinks as far as the branch goes. 1- I have 2 properties side by side. They cannot figure out how to treat them at the same time. They treat them 1 to 2 weeks apart. You cannot get a return call back from anyone AND I MEAN ANYONE. When you call customer service, it goes to a corporate call center which everything they have in front of them is scripted. They put notes on the account and no one reads them WHEN IT GET TO THE LOCAL BRANCH! For 1 year I had this Asian guy who was on top of his game, he knew to treat both properties, he could see if there was an issue. I hated to lose him but I hope he moved on to a better job, he did not deserve to work for a company as unorganized as TruGreen.
Nowhere can you get through to corporate to complain, all numbers go through the call center. They will apply fertilizer in torrential downpours or right before heavy rain. You then have to call back, sit on the phone for another 15 minutes and deal with the dopes at the call center. I spend over the course of a year over 4 hours on the phone with these people. Yes I still have them. I do not have time to treat my lawns. Yes lawns with an "s" (two properties) and TruGreen is the only game in town. They bought up everyone else. If I could leave I would. They claim will spot spray for wild garlic and onion, it never happens. Could someone from corporate please contact me or give me a contact # to further discuss. Thank you.

Do not do business with this company. First of all, as everyone else says. You don't have anyone to voice your concerns with. They make up rules that you never agree with. My experience was the worst I've ever had with any company. I called to use their 29.95 start up service. I speaking to an answering service, Shannon is the lady I'm speaking with. I ask where she's from, she says she at our local TruGreen Office. I ask who the manager is. She doesn't know, but quickly starts discounting price of a full year of service. I say I'm not interested. I just want the now 37.95 service and would like to see who I doing business with before making a commitment to them. They need my credit card to start the offer. I receive an email telling me when they will come out and perform the service.
Monday they show up and do a lime treatment for $75.95. Bill my credit card and say they're coming out on Wed do treat the weeds and perform the $37.95 treatment. I was railroaded into a year contract and they only serviced my front yard. I called to complain and was told someone would contact me in 24 to 48 hours. 2 days later no call. I call the answering service shut down the service, took my credit card off the website and asked for a refund. They say they will refund in 3 to 5 days??? No communication to anyone that works with TruGreen, just some answering service from either Florida or Georgia or wherever. Never have I experienced a lack of communication with any company as I did with TruGreen. The absolute WORST... Beware, don't need an attorney yet. Hopefully this is the end.

I have been very pleased with the service and the personnel have been very good. The only problem I have is they have never pulled a soil sample of my yard. How do they know how much lime to put out with out this information. They are guessing when applying lime. They have no idea what the PH is in my yard.

I have had TruGreen treat my yard for a couple of years. They came out last year and provided apps I never requested. I disputed the charges and was assured that the fees was removed from my account only to find out they turned me over to a collection company. I have spoke to several people at TruGreen which had told me I had a zero balance. I also used the recorded message to verify my account balance which also stated I have a zero balance. I asked for a ledger, what I received was copied of the invoices. I was just told they cannot provide a ledger they only have copies of the bills. I don't owe them the money they claim. I'm going to pay it for no other reason then to get this removed from my credit report. I will never use TruGreen ever nor will I recommend them to anyone. I have nothing good to say about TruGreen.

Where to begin? We used TruGreen for a few months in 2016 but saw no improvement in our yard. We asked for overseeding and help with bald spots but were told they don't do seed. So I didn't understand how throwing some fertilizer on the burnt and bald spots of our yard was going to help. Spoilers: it didn't. It was overgrown with weeds by year end. For our last treatment, our neighbor said the technician parked the truck in front of our house, sat for a few minutes, put the flag in our yard, and left without performing service. The next year, this same neighbor employed TruGreen because he was not in the best of health to do his yard anymore. Twice the technician came to treat the yard, but didn't rake his leaves... He just sprayed all over them. I watched them do it! Now how is the grass going to absorb fertilizer through the leaves? He ended up cancelling, too.
Over the next few months I got many calls from TruGreen to start my service again. Each time, I politely explained that we employ someone else now and have no desire to be on their call list. Each time, I'd speak with a new rep, and I'd tell them again to please never call back. The fact that I spoke with 6 different people over the span of about 3 months tells me that either 1.) the employees were blatantly ignoring my request to not be called or 2.) TruGreen just doesn't care and continues to break the law regarding phone communications. I even spoke to a manager once to request the same. Guess what? I still got called almost every single day.
It wasn't until I threatened legal action that the phone calls stopped, but I never got a response. I emailed customer support twice documenting every single phone call. Because I had requested numerous times for the harassment to stop, I am absolutely entitled to a minimum of $500 for every subsequent phone call TruGreen makes. THAT is what made them stop - and NO response to either of my emails. It is insane to me that a company can operate like that! And, for extra fun: My local TruGreen calls me on Saturdays (twice in a day) but if you call their office, you get a message that it's closed. Great, so y'all can harass me on my day off, but if I try to get back in touch and tell you to stop, I can't until Monday!
One last and crucial thing that 100% confirms how HORRIBLE TruGreen is: Paying for reviews. REALLY?! If you had any respect for your customers or had any pride in your services, this wouldn't be necessary. I couldn't believe my Birmingham, AL TruGreen office truly had a 4+ star rating... well, it doesn't, and your local office probably doesn't either. Every single reviewer that gave a 5 star rating was a sock account that also gave 5 star ratings to TruGreens across the US - most of them were stock photo puppets that got their HVAC repairs in San Diego, their yard treated by TruGreen Birmingham and TruGreen Richmond, VA, had ADT set up their alarm services in 4 different states, had their transmission fixed in Houston, TX, and had their hair permed in NYC in the same month. Not a single authentic good review.
So, is TruGreen that aware of how horrible it is that they have stooped to the fake review level in order to get "on the fence" people to use them? Seriously, go look up your local TruGreen office and investigate the reviewers. I'm working with Google now to have those fake reviewer accounts removed and the fake reviews about TruGreen removed so that it is transparent and clear that REAL people gave them horrible reviews. No more covering it up. You'll be hard pressed to find a genuine one. You shouldn't be in business anymore. You are lying thieves and an outright scam.

If I can give a 0 star rating I would. TruGreen Lawn Care worked on my yard for 6 months. This company is so screwed up in so many levels. TruGreen was assigned to come out to do aeration and overseeding and within an hour they sent another person out to do weed killing. Both "lawn care specialist" hung their receipts in the door tag recommending a conflicting schedule to water my lawn.
It is so frustrating to call TruGreen and always reaching a call center in a different state or region. It is impossible to speak with someone locally. The customer service representative gives advice over the phone not knowing the climate or condition of the place I live. The call center messed up my request by scheduling a lawn specialist for my house to do aeration and overseeding in the dead, heat summer of July when I was told by a call center manager that they will return in the fall. Even though the work was not performed they still printed out the receipt that the job was done.
My lawn looked awful with brown, bare patches everywhere, with weeds growing throughout the front and back lawn. I even hired my handyman to prep the area in the fall for TruGreen to come and do aeration and overseeding and wanted to have my handyman come back to cover the bare area with dirt to enhance the growth of the grass seed. I confirmed the appointment, got an automated call to flag the sprinklers so TruGreen can avoid hitting the sprinklers with their aeration machine, only to get a message left on the recorder that I was not on the schedule. I called the call center and they said I am on the schedule on a day in October. No one showed to do any aeration or overseeding, no tag was placed on my door, yet when I contacted TruGreen their computer said the job was done in the morning. They say that they guarantee healthy lawn.
They claim that "TruGreen will gladly visit your property as often as needed between schedule visits to make any necessary adjustments and to ensure your satisfaction". I found out that all the while, the customer service people tailored our conversation to only cover up the many mistakes that they made. I don't believe that the upper management are not fully aware of such despicable misconduct.

Last year late October, 2017. I signed TruGreen after having multiple discussion with TruGreen sales team. I have been reassured and provided a guarantee that I am in safe hands as far my lawn and trees are concerned. Their certified specialist scientifically tailors my plan to bring my lawn's potential. They will evaluate soil condition, client, etc.
Nothing happened like that. I did few service calls but no luck improvement in my lawn. Now I have been told to wait for few more months to reseed and good time to reseed is fall when my plan just gets over. TruGreen service guy told me that, "Previous TruGreen service guys did not do the good job on your lawn and they should have noticed the problem up front." He also told me that, "Your lawn is not as per TruGreen standard." I have showed them my neighbor's lawn grass which done by normal moving gardener which is much better. What's a point hiring TruGreen $$$ expensive service. Extremely extremely dissatisfied with the experience so far. There is no improvement in my front lawn.

I had previously maintained my lawn myself but was getting tired of pushing a spreader around and thought I'd let a professional do so I hired TruGreen. Big mistake. My lawn looks terrible after a year of service. Whatever they sprayed last looks like they sprayed grass killer. I have streaks and spots of dead grass all over my front lawn. I canceled their service and will have to do it myself again. So disappointed. What a waste of money!! If I could post pics I would.

TruGreen came to my house to aerate the yard. I was home at the time and saw what they did and they did a horrible job. We called TruGreen five times to discuss the service and even told them not to come back to our house. Every time we called we were told that a supervisor would call us back. Someone finally did call us and said they would send someone out to our house to look at what they had done to our lawn, no one ever came to the house or called us. Oh, I should say this all started August 23, 2017. They billed our credit card and we disputed the charge with the credit card company. We received a letter from the credit card company that the charge was reversed. Last week we received a letter from a collection agency for the charge.
We had not received any other notices from TruGreen so we thought this issue was all set. Even after telling them to cancel our service they sent someone to fertilize our lawn. I have now made three more calls to TruGreen to speak with a manager about the collection notice. I simple get from the answering service that someone will call me within 24-48 hours. I did receive a call on Monday but was not near my phone to answer it. I called right back and was told someone would call me within 24-48 hours. It is impossible to speak to anyone other than the answering service. I am desperately trying to resolve this bill and I can't. TruGreen is absolutely a horrible company and should not be allowed to treat their customers like this. They are going to destroy our credit. I will sue them if that happens.

TruGreen is like a parasite. I made a mistake of taking their service one year. They have become an irritation in my life. I paid upfront for 1 year service only, they continued for 2nd year and keeps calling for money, I paid up-front for 2nd year and said no more. That's it, cancelled the service. They are calling now again for money saying they continued service 3rd year. Don't know how to get rid of them.

I've found all of my experiences with TruGreen in Rocky Hill Connecticut to be frustrating, to say the least. Mostly due to their lack of communication between departments of their company, and with myself as their customer. This is not my first go around with TruGreen, but if this is how their customer service will continue, it will surely be my last. In the fall of 2016 when my family first signed up for (and fully prepaid) the 2017 year of lawn service, the first treatment was intended to be an aerate and overseed of our lawn. However, that same day that the aerate and overseed was scheduled (a Friday), someone from TruGreen came without warning and performed a weed treatment.
An organized lawn care company would understand that these two treatments cannot be performed on the same day. When the individual that we were expecting showed up to perform the scheduled aerate and overseed, we informed him that someone had already come that same day and performed a weed treatment. He completely agreed that a wait would be required before that treatment could be applied successfully. Someone then came the following Monday (3 days later) and did the treatment, agreeing afterwards that it was too soon and may not take. In case anyone reading this is wondering, it did not take. Fast forward to spring and summer of 2017, there were two separate occasions where TruGreen came to fertilize, and no weed treatments were performed. Given the failed seeding in the spring and lack of weed treatment that we were expecting, our lawn looked downright terrible all year.
When my husband called to voice his concerns back in April 2017, we were told by TruGreen that we would receive a refund of a specified amount, in acknowledgement that services previously performed, were done so poorly. We promptly received that refund. Fast forward to summertime, we began receiving bills for summer treatments that were included in what we already prepaid. The refund we received was absolutely NOT intended to be a refund of our prepayment for future services during the year, that TruGreen would then turn around and re-bill us for. How would that have compensated us for the lack of quality service we received? It wouldn't have at all.
In order for the refund to be the true reflection of what we were promised, the refunded amount should be reflected against services PREVIOUSLY PERFORMED, not for those prepaid that had not yet been completed. To be perfectly clear - it was a refund for poor service. It was not a credit from our prepaid future services. To be re-billing us again for this is both fraudulent and at odds with what we were previously told in April. I'm putting this in writing because it doesn't seem as though the verbal communication is making any progress. I tried to log into our account online to see if anything had been resolved as promised, and it appears to be locked.
I reached back out to the TruGreen individual who provided us an account statement, and received no response. I went so far as to fill out the "Contact Us" section of the TruGreen website, and STILL did not receive a response. This is my last attempt before also contacting the Better Business Bureau in Connecticut. The bill we have been receiving is for less than $100, however, it has gone unpaid. As far as my family is concerned, TruGreen did not complete all of the services on our lawn this year that we paid for. We recently received a letter from a collections agency. If they had any intention of resolving this issue, I would have received a response from any of my forms of communication noted above.
I'd also like to state that when we previously signed up for TruGreen services in 2013/2014, this is a very similar customer service experience as we had back then. Only that time they never offered to refund for poor service. TruGreen called us weekly between 2014 and 2016, bordering on harassment, offering us their services, and we were promised an improved process with better communication. We took another chance on your company and are incredibly disappointed that this situation went even more poorly than the first time.
To make matters more interesting, I figured having an outstanding bill would spare us from TruGreen's weekly sales calls attempting to sign us up for the 2018 season. Also not the case! We received our first call last week. My husband attempted to explain the circumstances, and the sales rep indicated he could help look into the issue for us. Also, no response. I cannot stress enough how difficult it would be for me to ever recommend this company to a friend or a complete stranger.

After fighting spotting on my red tip bushes and fungus on my lawn, I decided to hire TruGreen to tackle the problem. I paid for a year in advance for tree and shrub service and lawn care. They started work in February and by April I was calling them. Not happy, they explained it takes time. By June I still wasn't happy so when I was asked by email to review the service, I gave them a very unsatisfactory review. A Manager contacted me and asked to meet me at my house to go over my issues with the service. I showed him everything that I wasn't happy with and he came up with a plan of attack. They treated and treated again, but by October it had only gotten worse. I received another email review and I gave them another bad review and I was contacted by a different Manager. He also met me at my home and came up with a plan again. He did explain that things were going dormant and we wouldn't be able to tell if things worked until next spring.
I explained that I didn't want to keep throwing money at a no win problem. He told me he would work with me on the financial part. The lawn deteriorated even more and now I have big dirt spots. Fast forward to today I was called to start service again this year. I asked to talk to the last manager I talked to and was connected with him. I explained again that I didn't want to keep throwing money away. He reassured me that they could fix the problem but it would take time. My offer to them was to spray my bushes and lawn for six months and if they showed improvement I would pay for the whole year. They declined, they wanted me to just keep paying and take their word things would get better. I've cancelled their service and plan on tackling the problem myself.

Lawn worse after a year with TruGreen - I was using TruGreen to maintain my lawn while I wasn't a full-time resident for half of the year. Upon moving in full time, I noticed that during the core-aeration only the front lawn was done. I inquired and was informed that was all I had paid for... not true. I contacted them and they verified that in fact my program was for the entire yard (front, back and sides). They came back out and did the remaining lawn and did issue a partial refund for not doing the entire yard for the majority of the year. The very next application - once again only the front was done. Repeated attempts by them to eradicate the weeds in the sides and back were not successful.
Going with another vendor as I just don't trust them and the treatments they tried, just didn't work. Some of the people there did seem to make an attempt to correct the situation - but at the end of the day... they weren't able to do enough. If you sign up with TruGreen, make sure you are always there when they service your yard so you can make sure you are getting what you paid for.

My wife and I signed up for a specific treatment plan. It included the same number of treatments as the previous year for relatively the same cost. This year, I asked them to come retreat an area and we were told there would be no charge for the service. Now they are overcharging us and when I called I was originally told there was no manager I could speak with. I am done with this company. They are dishonest and provide poor service. This was just only one example. Please beware.

If it were possible to write this review without selecting a rating I would. My front & backyard looks really bad. Even worse after they have been treating it. They came to my house around 3 times and every time they came the person only did treatment in the front, not the backyard and I call to complain and they did it over and over only at the front and they said that they did it in the front and backyard and that is not correct because I work from my home and I see who comes in and goes out. They are ripping people off. I canceled my service but they are insisting I pay for the last treatment that I did not get my full service. I called and spoke with a young lady to explain I did not think I should have to pay and suggested I will write a review on Google and BBB. I checked to ensure I had the address she gave me. My rating for them -0. Stay away from this company.

One guy came. We didn't see him at first. Didn't have us move cars. Seemed in a hurry. One guy came day before reunion. We had campers here. He was going to spray?? Really. We said no then. Paid upfront for annual service... Had several problems throughout the year. Mainly when they plugged and seeded my yard they spread grass seed everywhere!! Filled the flower beds, filled the driveway, filled the rock beds...what a mess! Had to have them return several times as weeds were terrible... then was told it would cost even more if I wanted the lawn problem treated that I never had before them. Then once my contract was up they kept coming. I called the account manager and told them to stop. I told him definitely don't let them come back and throw grass seed all over again and they came ANYWAY!!! Now I have a terrible mess again and to make it even worse they keep billing me for services that I told them I didn't want and now they're sending me letters from a collection company.
I have called and text the account manager asking why he doesn't correct this and I get no response… We even talked about this when I contacted him and told them to stop coming!! But now no response. What a terrible terrible company!! I will be posting on every site I can including social media and every other source I have available to me. I have never been so disappointed and harassed by anyone in my entire life... How sad… PS If needed I can post pictures this spring of all the new grass in all my flower beds and driveways. It looks terrible!!!

TruGreen bought Scotts Lawn Care, seems like they were not prepared for the merge. The employees are force to work 40 houses instead of 20 to 25. What translated for the customer is they have to hurry up, no caring for the quality of the work. They don’t get pay more, for the reason service declined. Employees don’t care, because they are pressure to work faster. Customer got a bad service. Employees are abused. I don’t give my business to companies, who don’t care for their customers.

I was attempting to claw back an area was infested with blackberry vines and horsetails, the most insidious weeds to try and control. I didn’t think is was possible. After clearing the area, tilling it and having it hydro seeded, I started TRUGREEN lawn service. It took most of the summer, but now the weeds are under control and it looks like a lawn. I am amazed it worked! I’m very satisfied with the service. The technicians are reliable and helpful with recommendations on how to make improvements in the lawn.

The good news is that my lawn looks great from early spring until the snow falls. The techs are efficient and leave notes regarding the treatments that they do. The notifications before their visits are good because we are often not home and the advanced notice helps me plan my next lawn mowing. The bad news is that the shrub service protects the shrubs but does nothing to combat the weeds that spring up in the shrub bed and then proceed to get into the lawn. It would be nice if something could be done to contain these weeds. I come home after a trip and find these weeds overrunning the shrub bed and spreading into the lawn. Finally, your sales people call 2 or 3 times per season to get us to take an extra service. My wife really doesn't like these calls. One call at the beginning of the season to discuss the coming year would be better and give me a happier wife.

TruGreen came to my house and I never requested services. I called them and said to them I never asked and scheduled services. They came back again and provided more services. I called again and talked to customer service and supposedly they cancelled the bill. Yesterday, I got a bill from collection agency hired from TruGreen for 46 dollars.

I'm still waiting for a call back about my pest in house visit. Lawn care was excellent but I didn't get the in-house pest control visit because I was in the hospital and nursing home. I talked to someone on the phone and they were supposed to get back with me but they haven't.

We moved to this home in Feb. 2017. It is a brand new home, however, during the period of months before we occupied, the sprinkler system was never turned on and thus the grass was dead in many areas. Specialist articulate when suggesting how to improve and address other plans to improve and protect lawn and other vegetation. Price reflects the quality of the lawn's appearance. I have to admit that TruGreen is the only lawn service I have used so I might be a little bias on rating them? In short My wife and I lived in quite a few different places in our 52 year marriage but we never had such nice thick beautiful grass as we have had using TruGreen? Just a fact? Not sure if they were/are responsible for all of it but they really did help I'm sure of! The grass actually growed so thick if you didn't keep it cut. It was a problem which happened to me this year but that's another story itself?

The men that have worked on my lawn are on time and really know their lawns, trees & shrubs. If there is a job they cannot do - like reaching the top of a tree to spray for pests - they will tell you and not complete the service. I had TruGreen all year long and wow, here in December my lawn is the most green ever and best looking of all lawns in the neighborhood.

After purchasing my new home in an exclusive gated community in Destin Florida, I decided to hire TruGreen to keep my beautiful lawn thriving and keep up the appearance worthy of my neighborhood. I passed by a TruGreen truck on my way home and stopped and asked about the service. Later on they sent a representative to my home who inspected my yard, gave me a sales pitch and convinced me to pay in advance for an annual service.
Over the year period of time my lawn progressively retreated and I continuously complained whereby multiple excuses were made to me, never their fault. I have automated sprinklers so watering was never an issue and a weekly lawn maintenance service which does an excellent job so I know he was providing me BS as my neighbors yards always appeared to look well maintained while my yard was progressively worse.
The main difference in my yard and theirs was TruGreen! Nearing the end of my annual agreement I was again approached by TruGreen who asked me if I was again wanting to prepay for an annual agreement and I said firmly no and pointed out my yard as being so bad that I was planning on re-sodding the following year and would never use their service again.
Later on I arrived home to find a TruGreen sign in my yard and a notice on the door pertaining to an application being provided to my yard. I called and complained and said that I had previously informed them that I did not renew my service. The reason why (I was angrily expletive). And they told me that they were very sorry and wanted to send a company representative over to discuss this with me and even insinuated that they would potentially re-sod my yard for me.
We set up an appointment and that representative never showed up. We received an invoice and I again called and complained and again they apologized and set up an appointment for someone to come out the next day. Another no-show. A few months later TruGreen again showed up at my home and my wife saw them and approached them and asked them what they were doing there as we had canceled our service. He left and I again received an invoice and I again called and complained and told them I did not want anyone to come out. I just wanted them to stop treating and bothering me as my lawn was continuing to derivate.
I am writing this today because I just received a letter that I had been turned over to a collection agency demanding that I pay or my credit would be damaged. The amount they claim I owe is small so I will call them on Monday and pay it, but I plan to put a sign in my lawn saying that TruGreen treated this lawn and now I need to replace it. I also plan to completely use social media to show before and after pictures and tell the world about the truth about their services. I will do this repeatedly. FYI - One strange thing I have noticed recently is that I no longer see their truck in our neighborhood.

I signed up for TruGreen less than two months ago and can't believe the level of poor service I have received. I signed up for their TruComplete Lawn plan and was very excited to get this going so that we would start to see a lush green lawn for my daughters to play on next summer. Well... Thus far I am not pleased. My first call with them I set up the first and second appointment. The first appointment was for the "Healthy Lawn Analysis" & Application (of what I don't know but we'll get to that later) and the second appointment was for a Sulfur application and Aeration. So a week later I get two automated calls an hour apart for both of these services to be completed on the same day, which is not what was requested.
I specifically asked for these two appointments to be separate for budgetary reasons being the Aeration is a $215 service and the initial Healthy Lawn Analysis was supposed to be an introductory price of $29 or $39 (I don't know anymore as there have been so many promises broken in a short time period). I called and a rep apologized and fixed the appointments or so I thought. So the first appointment came and went just as fast. I was promised twice (my initial call to set up the service and my "fix the appointments" call) that the Tech would call prior to arriving to discuss my lawn for the "Healthy Lawn Analysis." Well, that did not happen. The Tech showed up and beat on my front door for several minutes.
This is according to my blind and disabled mother trying to make her way to the door. Luckily her nurse had just shown up and told him to do what he needed to do. This upset me on both the front of NOT calling prior and for the fact that he beat on the door hard and long enough to upset my mother. The nurse called me to tell me about the ordeal and I rushed over to the house from work and to my surprise the Tech was gone and there was some stuff scattered on my lawn. Whatever... So I call TruGreen when I return to work to explain what happened and they promised someone would call to reschedule the "Healthy Lawn Analysis" with me as originally promised. As well as put a note on my account to NOT knock on the door due to a disabled elderly inside. All sounded fixed.
Well, now a couple of days later I log in to my bank and TruGreen had charged me $111 instead of the Introductory rate they had promised. I login to the TruGreen Dashboard and indeed they did but their dashboard does not say what it was for. So I call again... The issue was that the Tech not only did the initial treatment (which to this day I still don't know what that was) along with the Sulfur Treatment that was supposed to be performed at the time of the Aeration Service a few weeks later. Therefore not only did he call, beat on my door, applied the first treatment (still don't know what that was), but added a treatment that was supposed to be performed at a later date due to my budget which I explained to TruGreen Reps on more than one occasion. So the call center rep gave me a partial credit for the Sulfur treatment. So, to say the least, I am not pleased with the start or our relationship.
A day later I get a call from TruGreen trying to upsell me on Tree and Shrub service. I was like are kidding me? I ripped the guy a new one and said their company needs to get their ** together and read their customer notes prior to calling to sell more services or products and hung up on him. So annoyed at this point. Finally, after about a week another Tech shows up. No call, No warning, at 7 am when I am getting my kid ready for Day Care. I'm livid! I don't have time for this man at this hour and his response was that he had 200 appointments that day. So that's my problem? You don't call and show up at the break of dawn on a weekday unannounced?!?! There is no courtesy with this company obviously. I'm about over it.
Well now the time has come to get the aeration service completed. I come home from work the day it's supposed to be completed and nothing. I chalk it up due to the weather being bad and rainy. Nope! The kid, and I do mean kid, show up at around 5:30 pm. Mind you, there is about 10 minutes of daylight left, the lawn is soaked and muddy, and I'm just like, "Do your thing" to the kid. I asked him if the Christmas lights on the lawn were going to be a problem and he said no. Well he's there ripping through my lawn like a race car driver trying to get this done before you can't see the lawn anymore and he comes walking up and proceeds to ask me "do you have any gas?" I looked at him, laughed, and got him gas. Are you kidding me?!?! They don't supply you with gas and now I have to provide it for you??? I was so mad but did not take it out on the poor kid.
I decided to hold off and call in the morning to file my umpteenth complaint now. Well to add insult to injury, I went out to take a look at the lawn after he left and just like I thought, he literally did rip through my lawn like a race care. He didn't cover the entire lawn, he left these gapping "W" patterns in the mud missing a good 30%+ of the lawn, and since it was a wet muddy day made it look that much worse! I called yesterday morning to speak to a Supervisor and to my delight, there was not one available. BIG SURPRISE!!!
Now I'm simply left with an apology and that someone will be in touch within three days. Really? What kind of company are you running there? I'm at the point where I just want to cancel the service and get a refund. I've gotten better service from lawn guys that don't even speak English. I'm so over it but am waiting for my call back as promised. We will see if that ever comes or if I have to call back again. Let's pray it doesn't come to that as that poor rep on the other line is going to have a bad day.

TruGreen sticks to their schedule which I appreciate. If I have any problem at all, it is always resolved. That includes coming out to my house and re-applying something that may be needed to keep my lawn looking good. Any problem I may have had during many years of their service has always been immediately resolved.

The regular technician that came early on and the one I had last year were excellent. However at times a new technician is assigned and the results are not always the same. The product is excellent but the technician DOES matter.

Good service overall. The tech arrived when expected, told me he was going to work on the yard, did the job quickly. TruGreen does a good job year round, giving our lawn the treatment needed for the season. We have been satisfied TruGreen customers for many years.

Every TruGreen specialist that has been to my house has been very friendly and professional. They have taken the time to answer any questions I have, have done a good job on my lawn. I have never met my TruGreen Specialist, they always visit when I am at work. They seem to be doing a great job. My lawn has never looked better and the thin areas are getting thicker every year. We cut down on the number of visits per season because of the cost, but it seems to still be enough to keep our lawn looking good and improving.

I think this is getting very expensive. You should also apply lime and sow grass seed or whatever else is needed so nobody else is needed to maintain the lawn so I don't have to pay several people and still have to do a lot of the work myself. Become a full lawn care service that is affordable. Thank you very much.

The grass looks great! Green and weed-free! They apply fertilizer, ant poison, pre-emergent weed controls and post-emergent weed controls, and they aerate twice a year! I do not know why they aerate twice a year; I think that once a year is all that is needed to achieve adequate aeration.

My yard has never looked better! I have been trying to get GRASS (not weeds) to grow for over 15 years and finally with the assistance of TruGreen and their team of professionals my yard is the envy of my neighborhood!! From the associates who answer the phone to the technician who applies the chemicals to make my lawn look so beautiful I have experienced nothing but professionalism and knowledge when dealing with the folks at TruGreen. There have been bumps in the road and TruGreen has stepped up and without batting an eye bent over backwards to remedy whatever problem I have identified. My experience has been there is only a problem if TruGreen doesn't know about it!

Those pesky weeds can be resistant. However, when I notice that weeds are not dying after a treatment, all I need to do is call and the technician will come back to retreat. My yard looks great and I receive compliments on it. I would recommend TruGreen.

TruGreen has been great. They have gotten my yard looking great and weed-free. The communication of my appointments is great. My only gripe is fall treatment timing - I have a lot of leaves in my yard and if my appointment is on Wednesday (usually) I either have to rake after work (boo) or I feel like the treatment was wasted. I would recommend TruGreen as your lawn service provider.

Absolutely happy with the regularity and detailed notes of what was done. Phone call alerts prior to the visit are helpful to know when service will be done. The sign left in the lawn to warn neighbors with pets about the chemicals is a nice touch. Nice to have the aeration service added. Dandelions are non-existent. Seems like other weeds, though, are now coming through. If those could be eliminated, I'd give 5 stars.

We appreciate it when we are called the day before that someone is coming out the next day. So we know to keep our dog inside. We have no complaints of any service person that has come out other than occasionally the side gate has been left open and luckily we've noticed it before our dog got out.

There were initial unfavorable issues during the first three TruGreen applications. After many messages regarding service or product, a new service specialist was dispatched. Ryan (TruGreen) Specialist turned everything around, as he simply performed his assigned task in a very professional manner. Lawn property finally began to show improvement so it was not the product itself being applied, it was clearly not being done.

In the last two years, I have seen my yard gradually improve to green healthy grass. The weeds that once had taken over my yard are gone and the grass is green and lush. The best part about mowing my lawn now, is sitting down on my patio and admiring how good my lawn looks.

It has been 2 years now and my lawn is looking a lot better. The person that does my lawn is very nice and polite. He gives suggestion how to improve the look of the lawn. Very professional. The service was as dependable as clockwork, saving me the effort to know when to call to request another treatment. The treatments were highly effective too, although more so in my north-facing front yard than in my south-facing backyard. There were almost never weeds popping up in front, and a previous crop of weeds in back were well-controlled. It used to be I had to have the lawn mowed to cut down weeds more than to cut down grass, but with the treatments that was no longer an issue. My yard looked the best it ever had, especially in front, even though I used to put down fertilizer with weed killer regularly and take good care of it myself.

Still need to monitor the weeds on the right side of the house, but the rest of the lawn seems to be withering the weeds fairly well. The sprinkler adjustment has helped in evenly watering the lawn making it greener and competing with the next door neighbor.
