I guess my expectations are too high. Realizing I have only had two applications - my yard still looks terrible. The grass is light green and I have weeds. It has received numerous waterings (every other day) but not greening up. The weeds are slow to die - don't even look stunted in some places. I look at my neighbors' yards and they look much better. TruGreen takes care of my west neighbor's yard and it looks hugely better than mine. I even see a difference in the common strip between theirs and my yards. I preciously had the yard treated by others and it didn't look much better. At least TruGreen communicates. My backyard looks fine - just the front yard looks bad.

Our lawn looks so much better since TruGreen has been treating it. The technician (Logan **) does an awesome job every time he comes out and is very knowledgeable about the lawn. He is always very polite and thorough.

My grass is getting better after every visit from my local TruGreen team. I started with mostly weeds in a few sections of my lawn and now grass is making a comeback. My backyard is so nice now. The kids hardly come inside. Thanks TruGreen.

Your mang. Agent made big service promises! 4 spray treatments with maintenance to water emitter system. Therefore I prepaid $260.33 with my Visa. Never forward a printed service schedule and/or billing statement showing my Prepay. Then your main offices mailed me 2 invoices, 300.00. And $500.00, as WOW! A real scam, as hook & bait!!! Wrote letters to all 3 offices to cancel/close my account. This Is the third time on misc. screw ups! Also to reimburse me $195.00 to my Visa acct., still waiting. PLEASE comply, or we may have a legal problem issue.

On Monday August 27th, 2018 @ 9:40 AM we received a call from TRUGREEN (414 214-1602) soliciting additional lawn care services beyond the contracted services we already have with TRUGREEN. I attempted to explain to the TRUGREEN caller that aeration and overseeding, which he was selling, we already had completed ourselves. He continued to push the need then suddenly Hung up! As a customer, we are not impressed with this type of contact or someone hanging up on us. Onsite Specialists have been good, but the TRUGREEN caller left us very disappointed with TRUGREEN and considering dropping the service entirely after this contracted year. Please address this matter in order to avoid other customer complaints.

Gladys ** is my technician and she is knowledgeable, professional, caring and does an excellent job. She sprays bushes from the outside as well as on the inside spraying the underside of the leaves - this is critical for my large burning bush hedge, if we want to keep the leaves until they turn red, rather than turning brown and falling off early in the fall.

Not satisfied with the way my lawn looks. TruGreen has treated my lawn on 4 occasions and there are multiple weeds still in the yard. I took a survey last week and spoke to a customer service representative on Tuesday and she was to have set up another lawn analysis. It is now a week later and I have yet to hear from anyone. I will not continue my service after this year.

The last time I had my yard sprayed was the best I have ever had. Tech was efficient, sprayed evenly between sides of my home. I can now enjoy my yard again. We will continue to use TruGreen in the future.

Excellent service and professional care. The lawns are much improved thanks to the TRUGREEN service. Highly recommend this service to all who desire improved lawns. The cost for this service is very reasonable. Service staff members are highly trained and very polite.

This is the first full year that we've used TruGreen. We started with them last Sep. after my lawn was beautifully sodded last year. My intention in hiring TruGreen was to KEEP it beautiful. I am disappointed. The lawn began to show signs of problems in early July and I notified TruGreen about it. They looked at it and didn't know the cause. It wasn't lack of water, and it wasn't insects. Standard treatment continued and the problem has only gotten worse. The technicians who come out are usually professional and show concern. (The fact that it's a different person each time is definitely NOT a good system.) The followup from customer service is usually poor. They call, they apologize, and nothing else happens. If this lawn problem has not been identified and addressed by September I will likely not be using TruGreen next year. Bottom Line: My lawn looks worse this year than it did the same time last year. Not pleased about that.

Three cancellations before service provided. Day of service window of time to arrive not followed and arrived 5 hours late from initial window of time arrival. Office personnel addressing issue are not helpful. Major management does not return phone calls. Overall communication very poor.

Just want to give a shoutout to TruGreen and our service Tech Truman. Our brand new sod was slowly dying a sad death until we hired you! Truman has been excellent... He contacted me personally on his first visit to guide me on how to better water the lawn, and then adjusted our mower to the right height. About 2 weeks after this, we noticed REMARKABLE improvement in the lawn. On his last visit he treated for broadleaf and recommended services for our back lawn as well. Everything look so much better :).

I actually paid for a series of lawn treatments and until last week I wondered why I had more weeds than grass after 2 of the treatments. I was informed by a TruGreen rep, that it was likely because the last service person assigned to my account did not actually do the treatments and got fired. Really looking forward to improved service when I switch companies next year.

I just received the service. I have had 4 services in one week. The only one I’m concerned about is the aeration and Overseed. I thought the holes punched would be deeper, closer together, and also the plugs from the ground would be picked up. I think plugs laying on the ground creates suffocation on the grass, which contradicts the purpose of the treatment. I could be completely wrong. I just wish for the money, the aeration was more intentional and intense, if that makes sense. Deeper plugs, closer together, picked up plugs. I realize this is a tall order. I don’t mean to be over critical. Very thankful for the service and pleased so far, although I have not seen much results yet, I know they will come.

I have asked 2 questions of Trugreen and have NOT received a reply to either of them! I am going to cancel the contract. The ability of the company to respond to a customer's concerns is not adequate. There must NOT be a human that responds to any internet Questions.

Extremely satisfied with the product and service so far. Thanks TruGreen. I was struggling to get my grass to grow. In just a few short weeks it is one of the best yard on the block. The service is professional and the smartphone App makes it really easy to keep communication working well. You get several updates on service and the tech tells you what you need to do so very pleased.

When TruGreen began my yard was mostly vine weeds. Not after just two treatments now have some brown spots where they just treated for the weeds but the grass is so thick and covering where the first treatment killed the weeds now thick grass. By spring or sooner I will be all grass and no weeds. Thanks TruGreen.

Jeremy and his crew did a great job. Very friendly and listened carefully. When I pointed out some places to avoid they took extra care to follow my instructions. They were quick and left everything in great shape. I highly recommend their service, even if it is overpriced, significantly.

The TruGreen Agent came to my home a few months back with an offer on taking care of my lawn and reseeding some parts with poor lawn. Since then they just sent me the bill with absolutely no work on my yard. My lawn is the worse condition. I called them several times but no real progress. I wrote to them, left messages but still no response. I am putting few phots if there us place here to upload. If you don't want to have a headache same as me please stay away from TruGreen...

When TruGreen Lawn Care took over for Scotts, things went downhill. Scotts lawn care was wonderful for the last 4 years, and now that TruGreen is in charge, very bad communication. I have new sod placed in and called and explained I do not want any fertilizer put on the new sod. They came out on 2 different occasions after that treatment and put down fertilizer. I noticed big sections of my new well water sod, dying.
A rep from TruGreen comes by and chats with my son and after my son explains what I just did above, he claims, "Oh my gosh, we killed your lawn, I am so sorry. I will have this taken care of". Nobody called, nobody came by for 2 weeks. I called this rep a week later and he explained that the person that was to come by has an emergency in the family. I understand that. Another week goes by and still no call, nobody comes by. I fired them the next week. I have been a loyal customer and good paying customer for many years and now that they have a problem, they treat me like a stepchild!!! Shame on you TruGreen!

I have more weeds now than ever before. I have called multiple times. They ask: How can we do a better job? Simple! Come and take care of these weeds!! They say that they will send someone but never do. Brutal! I would stay clear of this outfit.

TruGreen has come over only a few times. Mario has been here two times and Brian, once. My lawn had new Tall Fescue SOD last SEPT. It was turning brown, and dying in some spots. Mario treated it but said it needs to AERATED, but TG won’t until the fall. Bottom line... After more than a month of it getting worse, I rented an aerator and then fertilized, and now it is looking much better. Dead spots still there, but will reseed those in Fall or Spring. Both men were very professional but I wish TG would have aerated that first visit. Thanks.

Technician Specialist, Stanley ** does a great job in treating my lawn every service. What my lawn is dealing with now are the tough nutsedge weeds, bare spots, thinning grass, and not green. Nutsedge get treated, brown out, and go away. Then it returns back in the spots treated. Not sure what TruGreen has to do the give me a weed free and greener lawn as guarantee in their promotion.

Lawn has been over fertilized by TruGreen and is dying. TruGreen refuses to make good on their "Satisfaction Guaranteed". Phone calls not returned and appointments not kept. Cancelled service. Complaint being filed with the Better Business Bureau. Following up with small claims court to recover damage repair costs.

In 2017 my lawn started out in good condition. After my first treatment the lawn started to fail. I called TruGreen. They reserviced the lawn. It got worse each time. It got more weeds and less green with each service. Everybody came. Everybody looked. By August I had given up. Tru said they found the problem and given the chance they could turn it around. The last application the lawn started to look better so one more chance worked well. They worked. Didn’t give up now it’s 2018 and thanks to the service people at TruGreen. My looks good. Thank you.

I have always received prompt and concerned responses to my concerns. I wish however there might be a more specialized program to address my desires for the lawn look I want to achieve. If that exists I am not aware of it.

Marginal satisfaction. We are trying to get rid of an abundance of wild violets (but little/no other weeds). Three complaints: it's not working well; canceling a scheduled service on a sunny/dry day; and not being able to call the applier's head end (only the corporate calling center where you're known by your phone number). Three compliments: service techs are very hard working; they are very through with their coverage; and, my grass is green, growing rapidly, and needs to be cut every 4 days.

Your workers are polite, helpful, careful with what they are doing. They have given me good suggestions about what should be done once they leave the property which have been helpful and appreciated. The calls I receive ahead of time let me know when they are coming is great for there are times I would not remember to leave my gate open for them.

Did maintenance and right as Chase was leaving the sky opened up and rained for a good 20 minutes. I called and informed TruGreen. Had me check my lawn 10 days later for weed kill and it did not work due to the rain and they came and reapplied the chemicals necessary for this service at no charge. Great service.

I was pleased with the young man that came and re-treated an area that needed it. He explained what he was doing and why. I look forward to treating my backyard after our 16 yr old dog passes. Specialists do a great job and are always very thorough. They have made sure I haven't had to pull a single weed in years! After heavy rains, they return in between my regular visits at no charge to make sure I don't have to pull anything!

We have had TruGreen for about six months, two applications, and so far the weeds are not ALL gone but we have seen a significant reduction in weeds. The service person notifies us when he arrives, goes about his work and leaves while disturbing nothing. At this point we are very satisfied.

As a TruGreen customer for 2 seasons/years I continue to be very satisfied with the level of customer service and the quality of service and results. Our lawn has shown great improvements compared to that of my neighbors. The cost is very competitive considering how much a bag of quality fertilizer would cost you at any stores. At the same time TruGreen guarantees their service and returns as often as necessary without charge. We love the service and recommend it to everyone who wants a yard they can enjoy and looks great.

We are very pleased with my lawn service. However I would like more information about controlling crabgrass. I thought it was supposed to be covered with my plan however it seems to be settling in for the long haul. It is nice now that the tech comes to the door and we receive advance notice of the service.

Overall the service provided in 2018 is not up to the standard that we've been used to seeing from TruGreen. Mosquito Service - have had about 5-6 visits but my wife and kids are getting bit by mosquitoes... make me think that we're not getting the service as advertised. Grass - comparing my yard to my neighbors (who uses someone other than TruGreen) is like night and day. My yard is full of large wide leaf grass (possibly weeds!) that seems to grow faster than the rest of the grass, while my neighbor's yard is more or less what it should be. And there is nowhere where this is more evident than on the treeline, where you would think that mine has not been touched by you.
This has not always been the case as most years have not had so pronounced differences so it suggests to me that something internally within the local TruGreen team has happened this year that has not been producing the results that we typically see. I just need to know if this is going to be fixed or do I need to start looking for someone else to treat my lawn next year, or is next year going to be a similar bust for a large sum of money? On 2 occasions we have had either inexperienced or careless technicians service our lawn. Improper application of fertilizer will burn a lawn. Our lawn was burned after an improper application on 7/3 by Tessa ** and again on 8/11 by Michael **. In between the 2 applications, technician Dan came out and observed the damage, and met with us regarding the issue. Informed us the next application would be weed and feed and not fertilizer. At that point we requested him ONLY to service our lawn and he said that wasn't the norm and that we would have to call in and he would pass on our message as well. In a written response, I requested that Dan and only Dan service our lawn. This request was ignored and for a second time this summer, our beautiful lawn has been ruined. Overall the service seems good. At times I’m not sure if they are solving all of the problems that I’m seeing. However I feel satisfied overall with service. Aeration and overseeding service didn’t seem to provide the benefit that I had hoped to see.

This work was not done but I received a bill for it anyway. I called TruGreen and no apology was given to me. The TruGreen associate just scheduled for them to come out at no additional charge to get the service done. I am now a customer that will probably not return for the next season.

The specialist, Shawn, arrived right on time. I met him at the door and reviewed what The lawn was experiencing based on my observations and actions. Shawn said that the application scheduled would address the issues and that he would take extra care in the problem areas we discussed. The technician did a good job, the flaw was the callback invoice. I was told after the application if I was not pleased to call and you would reapply. I did call and you came out and reapplied, but then I was invoiced again, for the full price, just two weeks apart. Not happy with double pricing.

Our yard was awful and our HOA was about to penalize us, but by only the first or second application our yard looked amazing! The dead spots are gone, as are all the weeds, thanks TruGreen!! I guess the only downside is that now we have to have our yard mowed every week. :)

They don't show up. They don't treat properly. They don't call back. They lie. They say they came when they didn't. Took samples of the ivy they killed. 2 months later no calls or results. We keep leaving messages not technician. They even said the service was completed even though no one ever showed up. There are cameras all around our house. We can see whether we are here or not if someone has been here. They sold us over the phone a package that should have included veg control since I have so much here to be controlled. After no one showed up they said it wasn't included. Never been this disappointed with a company. They just keep taking messages when you call.

I paid a year in advance then waited a week for someone to come out. He sprayed and told me to contact his supervisor through email so he could come out to treat dallisgrass. Still waiting on a call. This morning I received a text saying someone was coming so I sat by the window waiting for him. 30 minutes later I received a text stating the work was done. NO ONE came by, I was lied to. Called customer service and was promised I'd be getting a call, still no call. What a bad way to start a business relationship. I'll be asking for a refund.

I have repeatedly told TruGreen about the weeds in my yard. The workers have come out to treat my yard, but I keep getting more weeds. I also have an abundance of millipedes in my yard. The workers recently claimed they sprayed for insects, but I do not see that happening. I am very disappointed.

My lawn is a specialty lawn Dwarf Seashore Paspalum. I had my doubts that TruGreen was familiar with this type of grass. However they exceeded my expectations and have fine tuned their care with chemicals that do not hurt the turf and the result has been fantastic.

I’ve had very good service from TruGreen for several years now. I considered applying the treatments myself with product from the big-box stores but determined that it wasn’t worth the trouble and there’s really no cost savings and you can’t buy the TruGreen products in stores. If you ever have a problem, just call and they’ll dispatch a tech. I call them before the appointed time with any concerns that I have and they adjust their application to remedy it.

For many years, my husband has taken care of our lawn in regards to fertilization. This year, because he works so many hours, we decided to hire TruGreen. Let me say my grass was beautiful before they came. From the very first time they came to fertilize my lawn, the lawn technician, who I guess was not trained properly, dumped the fertilizer in large spots which in turn created brown dead grass everywhere. When I contacted TruGreen, no one ever got back to me. They have single handedly destroyed our grass and have done nothing to rectify the situation. My grass looks awful and my husband and are so upset. DO NOT USE THEM!

I have been a customer for 3 seasons and each year a customer rep would contact me to review my services plan. 2017 season I did fertilization - tree service - pest control and Aeration. For 2018 I requested a cut back in services to keep the overall cost down from previous year. I wanted Fertilization only. During the season I would get calls trying to upsell additional plans and I gave in and allowed Tree and Shrub services along with my Fertilization plan. Two weeks ago with no notification on my phone app or calls they showed up and performed Aeration and seeding. (Early August during a period of time my town has imposed watering lawn restrictions). I called and was told that Aeration was a repeat services an I owe $536 and sorry for the miscommunication. I requested supervisor contact and emailed 3 times with no call back. Very disappointed with no contact regarding this issue - they love to call for additional services but not this time.

My lawn had many issues so it was a daunting task for any lawn care company from the start. I chose TruGreen because they responded to my inquiries right away and gave me the best price for the services they provide. I am rating them a 3 out of 5 because my lawn has not improved to the level I would have expected this late in the year after 5 of my 7 contractual treatments. I still have many weeds and dead spots even after a historically wet summer. I dethatch and aerate every year too.
This year, nutsedge has gone crazy in my lawn and others I can see. The TruGreen specialist I talked to at the beginning of my last application said it was really bad this year and that it was hard to kill but he would treat for it. The product he used did kill what was growing but a week later, it's all back as healthy as ever. I see other lawns in my neighborhood that are thick and green with no weeds present at all - and no nutsedge. I guess I expected more from my experience.

This is my 4th year with TruGreen. It was my first time having Sergio take care of my lawn. I’ve been noticing tons of weeds, so I asked him to walk the lawn. He was very willing and knowledgeable. He made me feel that he could help and that his manager would be aware of the issues occurring in my lawn. It has been a week and a half and I have not heard from anyone, which is disappointing.
Sergio seemed thorough, and sympathetic to my concerns. With my lawn in its current condition, I’m not Sure how much longer I will stay with TruGreen. I cancelled last year and resigned after I was told a specialist would come out this spring to get my lawn more dialed into its needs. I don’t believe anything has changed since last year. While I am satisfied with my most recent visit from Sergio, I am displeased with the results. Last fall I also purchased the reseed and aeration treatment in hopes that it would help. Again, not much, if any change. - A customer on the fence.

On several applications I have experienced tree stress on my Red oak that had a severe leaf stunting and my recent application left a Chinese Dogwood losing its leaves. Whatever is being used is I presume, very toxic on my trees. I appreciate the men who do the ap. But I’m debating keeping your tree service at this time.

DO NOT use TruGreen services by any means! They have completely destroyed our lawn to the point that next season we'll have to lay down brand new sod! Not only does their product not work, but their customer service is awful. They do not spray the entire area unless you are home to sit and monitor them. They do not come out and "spot treat" as they state in their contract. They do not communicate with other employees that they have sprayed our lot (this potentially could lead to burning the lawn).
Our acre lot is full of crabgrass, dandelions, and other weeds. They do not believe in customer service when you speak with them over the phone or in person. On the phone, they do not want to help you nor do they care about your lawn or business. In person, they complain about their job and employer. My kids and dogs can't even play in the yard due to all the weeds! There are several other lawn care services out there that would much appreciate your business and actually do what they say they will do. Worst summer experience with lawn care! Save your money and look elsewhere!

They treat for mosquito control, never follow up to determine effectiveness. Finally, they keep trying to sell useless additional services while failing to take responsibility for lack of attention to the main reason they were hired, that is, lawn maintenance. I had to rate with one star to post this review however TruGreen gets 0 Stars. We pre-paid for 5 applications with TruGreen. The service is very unprofessional/TERRIBLE. They schedule and never call or show-up. I have had to follow-up making continuous phone calls out of my busy schedule to speak with customer service rep’s which they do nothing except make excuses.
Finally, 6 weeks ago we had a tech come out to our home for a fertilization treatment which it was such a poor job, they missed many spots where I now have lines in my grass where the grass is darker. The tech just fit us into the schedule because of all my calls which he really did not have the time to even complete a good job, RUSHED. Waited for my second treatment and again no call or no show. Had to make several calls again and of course excuses. I have now requested a refund which they say takes several days for approval and to process the refund. At this point I am done with TruGreen. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and also have file a lawsuit with a local lawyer. TRUGREEN IS AWFUL, POOR, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, STAY AWAY. Find a local lawn service who cares because TruGreen doesn't.

TruComplete Lawn Service on 8/16/2018 - Keaundre ** did a great job! He was very professional and knowledgeable, and answered all my questions! I don't know how much he had to do with the mobile app readout on this particular service call, but the info was right on! The app told me the service would be performed between 12 - 5, gave me a 3 hr, 2 hr, and 1 hr heads-up, leading up to Keuandre showing up at 4:15p, to complete the service. Above average!

The lawn consistently looks great since I started using TruGreen. The Company tells me when they will be there (weather permitting), arrives as scheduled, acknowledges he is here to treat my lawn, treats my lawn and touches back with me at the completion of the treatment to inform me of anything I need to be doing to keep my lawn in shape. I pay for the service annually and have never had an issue with my payments or the service I receive.

I have been very frustrated as my lawn has been burned with fertilizer 4 times this year. The manager has been good to come out twice and he said he will fix the spots later this year, but it is still very disappointing.

Had TruGreen for years without issue. Suddenly this year spring the guy shows up and refuses to treat my full lawn citing fungus but wanted to charge full amount. I explained there was no fungus with Centipede grass a warm season grass when you have cold snaps in spring or lasting winter this grass will look brown/patchy and sick. He wanted nothing to do with my experience of the lawn as a homeowner here for 10 yrs and wanted me to buy into a fungus treatment I did not need. I had to have a manager out to my home to inspect the grass to get my service fully restored again despite continuing to pay full price. Confirmed no fungus and by then the grass was really nice so he even noticed some of the best centipede he has seen around.
I ask the tech not return to my property and they agreed. They did not follow through and tech returned again his first visit after clearing up from his last he again refuses to now treat my backyard citing fungus. I call to explain he was not allowed on my property per agreement they apologize as usual and try to keep moving. I paused them and explained I don't want to continue service with a company that doesn't know their grass, has rude techs, is constantly trying to stall services unless you buy into additional ones. You are not able to get anything addressed as all numbers are routed to call centers. You can only get real account help from your local branch whom you cannot contact. They require a form to be submitted with a promise of return call that never comes.
I have been trying to address this issues now for over 3 months. They will not cancel my account. They will not call me or give me a number to reach that can help me. they continue to call to schedule those additional services. What kind of company is this? I am still waiting on a call so that I cancel the account and get a refund from the date the issues started to current. I did finally get the leeches off my bank account so they can longer draft unauthorized money from my account. This is the worst company to do business with and it is highly recommend that you avoid them like the plague they are.

I called on 8/7/2018 (second call) to express my dissatisfaction with the aeration job that was done on 6/14. The receptionist took the information and was to elevate the situation to her manager - still waiting for a returned call with a resolution.

We had lawn, shrub and mosquito services. Everything was going great until they sprayed our Cherry tree twice and it started to die. They are never to spray any fruit trees fruit bearing or ornamental. I have been trying to work with TruGreen over a year and they have given every excuse, Frost, bugs, etc. TruGreen will not take responsibility for their shoddy service! Now we are stuck with tree removal and replacement cost!! Nashville Area TruGreen!! Would not recommend!

After using Tru Green for a couple of years and being very satisfied with their service, I am very disappointed from the very beginning of this year's (2018) application. The lawn became burnt and scarred right down to the dirt itself. Not even weeds would grow. I called numerous times and got no satisfaction. Tru Green did not show up, or would make excuses. I used topsoil, fertilizer, mixed well, watered and added seed to try and get this area to grow. When I asked a competitor for a possible explanation I was told it was over treated chemically.

Last year I signed up for 1 year, paid in advance, but after a year of service I cancelled. My lawn looks great, most weeds gone, but my trees and shrubs have needed attention & this company could not give good care on this. Whenever their guy came out for the trees & shrubs and we pointed out the problem, he would always say the manager would be contacted & get back to me. Such managers never got back and the problems got worse. I may be losing some very costly palm and certain shrubs as a result of their bad service. I will not go back to this company even if it is free.

I was concerned about the cost, but have found that I was spending as much or more on buying fertilizer, weedkiller, etc. and the weeds were winning. On 7/21 called to pay for 2nd treatment. Inquired about next ones to follow. I was cancelling future treatments but was told it was last one and was FREE. So I agreed but ended up being charged $79.95 for 3rd and not free. I don't cheat. Did not want to buy another mosquito treatment if I had to pay for that which I was told at beginning of contract WAS FREE by paying per treatment FOR 2 TIMES. I will have to cancel future lawn treatments if you are not trustworthy.

I’ve been a customer for at least 5 yrs... I love the grass and tree and shrub service. I have no weeds in my grass and my trees and shrubs look great. The last 2 years I did the Mosquito service... the first year was great, this year not so much. To be fair it was very wet... However when I called to have them come out to reservice it, they said 3 business days someone will call. By the time someone called and set a date, it was more like 10 days... I was just expecting a faster response to help fight the mosquitoes. I wasn’t happy with that service. I would like to know if there will ever be a service to help kill weeds around the trees and shrubs. They would be a great service I would pay for.

This year we have not had a consistent service person apply the treatments to our yard. Each time someone comes out, the technician is different. Therefore, the weeds in our backyard are getting out of control and now a yellow streak has appeared on our grass in the backyard, but the latest technician doesn’t know what it might be.

There is more weed now on my lawn than before TruGreen started treating my property. I contacted them for a revisit, they gave me a date and never showed up and never called. I will take my business elsewhere and my neighbors (who usually complimented us on the beauty of our lawn) has taken notice of the shoddy work TRUGREEN has done.

Moved to a new home that the previous owner neglected the lawn. Spent the spring and summer working to bring it back to life, including paying for lawn treatment for the first time in my life. I patiently awaited results knowing it would take some time. We've had a tremendous amount of rain over the past several weeks and it's brought my lawn to life, until my recent TruGreen service. Now all my neighbors' yards are green and mines camouflaged with brown dead grass. Not only did they kill a lot of the grass but they left behind a brown path showing where they treated the yard, luckily for me their coverage missed most of the yard. But it does explain the slow progress if their other treatments I've paid for cover the same amount of ground... I've made contact to see how they resolve the problem. I understand things happen, but I've paid a lot of money for this... If they resolve things satisfactorily I'll update or remove my negative review.

An area of 50ft by10ft in the middle of my front yard was not aerated after the service. Do not know how it was missed! That is why I rated 3 stars. But my yard is looking better than I have ever been able to do myself since TruGreen took over. Would recommend your service and have to my friends. Look forward to the next service. Signed up for this lawn care. 7 visits, fertilizing, weed control, and seeding. First few visits didn't see much, but after a while the weeds had gone and the grass was sort of looking better. We inquired when they will seed, they said they will seed in the fall and would have to put down two types as we have two kinds of grass. Even left a handwritten report saying such. Get a call to add tree and shrub treatments. I add it, my roses and azaleas have some pests getting them. All good so far. Get another call to add aerating and seeding. I told them that seeding was already in my plan. Apparently it was not. I was originally told that it was, and this was backed up by their techs.
I have now immediately cancelled all services. I had been paid for the entire year for my services. I consider myself a good and reasonable customer and person. I do not appreciate getting weekly calls to buy more services. I do not appreciate bad information being provided to me that costs me money. I am going to hire a local company to take care of my lawn from now on.

We have paid TRUGREEN twice this summer to do the weeding on our lawn, I also phoned after the first time, because the same weeds are still there. They charged us a second time and after 3 weeks, the same weeds have not gone! If we phone the company, they just say they'll have to do another appointment and charge us again! We are very disappointed in this company and have had a horrible lawn all summer!

I have used TruGreen lawn and tree service for more than ten years. The product (fertilizer & weed control) is excellent. Unfortunately the service scheduling is very poor. Missed service can be caused by weather, employee absence, delays and many other reasons. But, with TruGreen missed service is too frequent. When you are missed the rescheduled date is 7-14 days later. If you happen to be missed again, the service can be delay a month or more. The customer service people are nice but they have very little control of the scheduling. I believe they have too much business and are attempting to push productivity over service because of the lack of enough employees. If you really care for your lawn and shrubs be prepared to step in and purchase/apply when TruGreen doesn't.

Had my lawn fertilized July 3rd. The technician over applied my lawn causing severe burning of the grass. After numerous phone calls someone came out to do the repairs of reseeding. The reseeding job is terrible. I keep calling for TruGreen to fix. All I get is the call center with the promise of the local branch manager will call. Guess what...still waiting for the call. My lawn was the best on the my street until TruGreen’s unqualified technician ruined my lawn. Will be dropping them. The damage is extensive. This will probably cost me at least $1,000 to repair. I am considering legal action.

We paid in full in advance for 8 treatments and expected to get 8 treatments. After the first treatment it all went downhill. Appointments were not kept, online account was never accurate. Found out that the first visit counted as 3 of my 8 treatments which was never explained in the beginning. Treatment dates were promised but they were never followed through. The chase was on. Each time I called customer service, I got a different explanation. I would be promised a treatment but they never showed up. I spent more time calling them about the lack of service, than the treatments we received.

The North Augusta SC branch appears to be a scam station. I signed up in February for a year of service, including aeration. A brainless idiot came out in April to do the aeration, and did massive damage to my wet/sloped front yard. They told me they would fix it. They filled in the very deep ruts with dirt. Nothing else. They told me the grass would grow back in. It didn't. And the aeration was never done. I have tried to contact the North Augusta office at least 6 times in the past month. Every time I call, I get transferred to Atlanta, or some other remote site in Georgia. It is NOT POSSIBLE to contact anyone in the North Augusta branch.
After one month, and many promises from phone greeters to have a manager call me, I have spoken to no one in authority about any of my complaints. When I ask to speak to someone at the corporate level, I am told the manager will escalate if necessary. But if a manager never contacts me, how can it be escalated? And when I ask the phone greeters to connect me with a supervisor, I am consistently told they don't have supervisors!! This is unbelievable. This is not poor customer service. This is NO customer service. I am very nervous about the fact that when the salesman signed me up for service, he insisted he needed my bank account number for payment, no checks or credit cards. I feel very foolish that I gave it to him. This company appears to be a scam.

So disappointed. We canceled our service. Yard has never look horrible. They were unable to kill the weeds in our yard not to mention how horrible the scheduling is not to mention not all of the services are very friendly.

Beware!!! Total rip off... Our introduction price was supposed to be 53.47 charged to our debt card, can't pay any other way the sale guy says on the phone. So we did and a month later when I got my bank statement it shows a charge for 171.00 from TruGreen so I called to ask why, and was told the lawn service guy put down Grub control, I didn't ask for that or even knew he did it, he didn't ask me anything about Grubs and I don't believe he put it on the lawn. When I called to cancel any further service and told them why they just said ok. Beware!!!

Great value compared to other competitors. Quick to respond to any issues usually from the Nashville office. I skipped the service for 1 year and treated my lawn myself but didn’t get the same good results as with TruGreen. I have recommended TruGreen to friends and my neighbors comment on my lawn often.

I have had a difficult time with this company. They quoted me one price then tried to charge me another. They have canceled service without explanation. When they came out to perform the aeration, only the front yard was done. They have taken steps to correct the issues but it seems like almost every time they come out something isn’t done correctly.

Product was applied twice. Because of that there are numerous burn marks on the lawn. The technician said I have a lot of nutsedge, he was incorrect, it is bent grass. He also stated it will go away when it gets cooler. That is also not correct. I have numerous weeds that are thriving. This is mainly because he didn't do the whole property. I have video cameras and viewed them. Very dissatisfied with the service. However when I complained the manager was very nice and said he will refund the cost of the service.

I’ve only had one treatment so far. Overseeding and aeration should have been done yesterday but because of weather, the service could not be done. I’m still waiting for someone to come out and measure my yard because it is much smaller than what I am being charged for. No one ever came out and measured it to begin with. It is only .33 of an acre or 14,374 sq. ft. Part of that is landscaped with bushes and no lawn.

I’ve been with TruGreen for almost three years. First year + service was great. Technician Dave took care of us and lawn looked great. Signed up for additional services for another year and up until a few weeks ago this year is a disaster. Had Dave come out to see the weeds and the horrible condition of our lawn. Dave sent Richard out to put down some weed control. I found out this is the first time this year weed control had been placed on our lawn this year and now I understand why the lawn is looking terrible. The treatment Richard applied helped but there are still trouble spots. I know Dave was out the other day to do a treatment, fertilizer etc. but at this time of year our lawn should be looking much better than it does.
I wrote a letter asking for credit for my first several paid treatments since the first two technicians never treated for weeds in the beginning of the year. I have a low confidence on the first two tech that came out so now I’ve asked that only Technician Richard service our lawn. So far I’ve heard nothing or had an acknowledgement of my written complaint. At this time we are waiting. I will not sign up for another round of treatments until my complaint is resolved.

The weed have died and the lawn is getting to look like it did 2 years ago. Already got my neighbor to have TruGreen service his lawn.

We have never used a lawn service before. We decided to try this year, and chose TruGreen on the recommendation of others. Mainly they were known for prompt response. Not true. After the first treatment (of 6 for $650!), our weeds seemed to multiply and our lawn developed yellow stripes. We called, and they sent someone else out who said they would stick to the regular schedule, no need to do anything for the stripes. We complained and they took $50 off our bill. For the next 2 weeks the weeds continued to multiply and the stripes were more prevalent. I called customer service and finally got someone who said they couldn't send anyone for a week due to heavy schedule. I complained that that was not acceptable, and to his credit, he did get someone out the next day, but not till I complained. The person who came out the next day basically said he couldn't do anything to make the lawn look any better this year.
The first guy who came out had caused the damage and it would take a year to repair. This year they would just keep trying to kill the weeds and start fresh next year. There will be no next year with TruGreen. As I read other reviews, this seems to be a common problem. More weeds, and lousy customer service. IF they had been honest up front about what would happen, I would have been okay, but they charged $650 for 6 treatments that they said would help our lawn and so far they have killed it. They are the lawn experts so they should be able to look at a lawn, take some samples, and be able to treat accordingly. Instead they seem to do the same treatments for everyone with no samples taken. Obviously for my lawn, that was not the answer. I would not recommend TruGreen. Find a small local lawn care service.

Excellent service. Notifies when the specialist is coming. Leaves written paper as to what was done and instructions on mowing and watering. So far, the specialist have been professional and helpful. The yard is not there yet but it does look better each time service is provided.

My husband went on the TruGreen website and entered in our information so that someone could contact us about pricing/consultation. A female contacted my husband the same afternoon and was pleasant at first. She discussed several packages with my husband beginning at 1,700 annually and after a bit of back and forth discussion priced him a package for $80 something per month. My husband then told the rep (who never identified herself) that the price may be a little higher than what he wanted to pay but that he would consult me (his wife) and get back to her.
She became rude and confrontational. She spent the next two minutes questioning him and trying to pressure him into a commitment. He finally had enough and started to tell the rep that he didn’t appreciate how she was acting and that he would not be pressured into to anything and SHE HUNG UP ON HIM MID SENTENCE!!! Needless to say, TruGreen will not be receiving our business now or ever! Terrible customer service!!!

Techs are knowledgeable and helpful. Office staff from the branch is fabulous. The General manager is very helpful and answers any concerns that we have. All in all great experience with the Memphis branch. The service is top notch from sales to the technicians and service managers.

With only being with TruGreen 3 months I have had more problems than it’s worth. We signed up and told because we are both retired only one service per month. Got double service after the first week. Then never came back to finish my free service until I called. They sprayed for weeds and 6 days later it looks as bad as it did before they sprayed. Supervisor told me he would take care of my free service, 7 days later I had to call to get it. Not worth all this headache at this price!

I decided to try TruGreen for my lawn this summer. Big mistake. I will refrain from writing the 3 page diatribe I was originally planning. Their first weed spray (after I had called and asked for assurance twice that my plants would not be damaged) decimated more than half of a full and healthy 1.5 ft thick row of daisies that originally came from my mother's garden. It also killed half of a very nice plot of hens and chicks. After making excuses for their service crew, they said they'd buy me more daisies "or whatever". Really? It's going to take me HOURS to dig and replant that plot. Barely an apology - I got the distinct impression I was just an annoyance.
I had many conversations with people at TruGreen regarding the situation and yet it seems they don't communicate with each other at all. I called this morning (only got notice late yesterday that they were coming out for treatment today) to tell them PLEASE don't weed spray. She took my information and said she had sent it to the tech. I ask this also in concern of my neighbors' outdoor cats. I left the house at 1:30 and there was a notice on my door that the tech had been there and weed sprayed. I have asked 4 times for someone from TruGreen to give me an estimate for pruning bushes - no response. Today the tech's report said I needed to have the bushes pruned to let in more light on the lawn. Really? I could go on for pages. Definitely one of the most unresponsive, poorly managed and uncaring contractors I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with.

I've been told the weeds are being treated but they continue to grow and create ground cover in my backyard. I'm sure they'll be killed off "over time" but I'm still waiting 3-weeks later for the weeds to die off.

Started my service with TruGreen back in July. They kept "unscheduling" me and then saying they cannot give me an appt time. Finally I spoke to someone that said Aug 6th. So I wait for the text/email notification and nothing. Call them at 9 am to verify and they tell me someone serviced my yard for mosquitoes at 7:30 am with no notification and my pets still outside which is a big no no. So far I am very unsatisfied and customer service was zero help.

First... Don't waste your time contacting their customer service, they don't respond. For 41 years I have had one of the better looking lawns in the subdivision; Used Happy Turf for lawn treatment for years, then TruGreen took over. Now my lawn has dead spots all over. Crabgrass has never been as bad. Neighbor's lawn looks great and he only has service once a year, every other year and this is the off year.

Tree/Shrub service -- diseases contaminated branches/shrub were treated repeatedly and alive now. A very good job! Not happy - lawn watered 3X/wk; cut/bag grasses often, but many brown patches left by dead Poa annua that were not treated chemically last Fall. MUST be treated/corrected this Fall to ENSURE brown patches do not show during the Winter season.

One at least 5 occasions the service technician has either treated our yard/shrubs or done the mosquito treatment on the wrong house, our next door neighbor's house, fortunately on most of those occasions we have been at home and have been able to get the technician to treat our yard, but we know on some occasions they treated the wrong yard. The last time was about 2 weeks ago and my wife told the tech that he was at the wrong house and he tried to say she was wrong, but once that was settled he stated our front yard looked good enough and said he was not going to use any fertilizer on the front yard, we thought that was a little odd, plus we are paying for it anyway. So overall we have been mostly satisfied, but getting the wrong house this many times is aggravating to us.

I have been a TruGreen customer for 20 years and I have always had great service. This year has been horrible. First of all they never came to do the first spring treatment so the weeds got hold. They explained it was on purpose which is sad when you know they are lying to you. Every time I checked my service date online it was pushed out. Found out later you have to threaten to quit to get them out. Then they finally came and did not kill the weeds. They came out (even though I have a do not sell anything else on my account) to do tree and scrub.
They called and said they would do it for the cost of one of my lawn treatments so I wouldn't be charged. Well you can guess what happened. They charged me. And we're going to charge again the next time. I had to call again and get them fixed. I canceled my Halloween treatment because Oct 31st in the woods in MN just doesn't do anything. Now the worst. They came out a couple of days ago and KILLED LOTS OF THE GRASS. Came home after being gone for 3 days and it is very bad. Called and they said the best they can do is get out in 72 working hours. Then they will come up with a cause and a plan. Oh like no big deal. That is what the guarantee is for. I bet their plan sucks. It is so sad to see a good company go bad.

Since we have been using TruGreen our lawn has become one of the best lawns in the area. The service we receive from them has been excellent. The technicians are superior and very friendly. Using the mosquito service has allowed us to use our yard as it should be with little interference from pests.

I believe the disease has finally been identified, Secretion from scale essentially feeds the mildew which deposits a black soot on the railings, furniture and floor of the front porch. Two applications within the past week have NOT been specific to the problem. Scale and mildew must go!

Jim took a look at the 1 year old lawn and his comment was, "We've got a lot going on." We have a lot of weeds in the lawn, primarily plantain. He explained what he would do in spraying for weeds, fertilizing and applying grub treatment. After a week I can see the weeds are dying and the grass is greener. Thanks!!

Worst company ever. They don't care. You call customer service, they don't follow through with your requests. 1st time they came, they sprayed my perennials. Took 3 applications off. 3rd time they came. Burnt my lawn. Asked for a supervisor to come out. Didn't even respond. Weeds everywhere. Skipped parts. We don't care about the free applications. We bowed out of the rest of the season. It's already been paid for. We don't ever want them in our yard again. Damage every time. I spent 32 years trying to make my yard looks nice and they send some untrained idiot to destroy it in 9 minutes. They won't be back next year. I will share my pictures with my neighbors. If PGA looks nice, TruGreen must have hired another company to do it and claimed fame. If it looks nice they certainly didn't do it. Never again!

Last application: I have no idea what he did. He did not leave the lawn statement on the door. Only thing left was the TruGreen advertisement stake in the front yard. I filled out the TruGreen survey but have not heard back yet and that has been two weeks. I guess I will have to call to see what was done. I hope he didn’t just put the advertisement in the lawn.

My lawn looks great, the best it’s ever looked!! Backyard is full and thick!! The front has shown sooo much improvement as well! It’s starting to thicken up and full in! The front is also greener than it has ever been!

I pre-paid for a year's service - big mistake. With the money in TruGreen's account, there was no effort to make sure the customer was satisfied, When they did show up for a treatment (never on the day confirmed via a telephone call) it was either raining or heavy rain was on the way according to radar. Last treatment got washed away by torrential rain immediately after application (there was water 2 inches deep running across the yard). I had to call to get it rescheduled. First tech didn't have enough product to do my yard (a little over an acre) and said he wasn't sure why they sent him.
Second tech (days later) got snippy with my wife (I wasn't home) saying he lived in a neighboring community and no way did it rain hard enough to wash treatment away. He then tried to scare her by saying if he reapplied it would burn up the lawn and we'd have no grass. Not being knowledgeable she said to not treat. That was the last straw. Canceled the contract with over $1K left in account (according to my online account page). Customer service rep say she would have to get approval as the amount of the refund was over a thousand. When credit appeared on my card it was only for $990. When I called customer service they claimed there was no record of an amount other than $990 and the rep that handled my refund had made a note to that effect. My online account page was purged so I couldn't get any documentation of the amount I saw prior to canceling the account. Terrible service and a rip off to boot.

We relay these concerns to TruGreen. Someone came, check our Crab Apple tree on the front yard, sprayed more chemicals and left. It was end of the season, so we let it slide.
I cut some dead branches from pear tree early spring to help the tree to recover. Third year of service started and after second application I notice that more branches on a pear tree died, so I asked again to come and check what is wrong. Again someone came, check apple tree, now on the backyard, told us that woodpecker damaged our apple tree, never hear any sounds related to woodpecker, added more chemicals and left. By the way we don’t have any problem with apple trees. Contacted manager, he came, wrote us a note that Pear tree branches are drying and that he is not an arborist and don’t know what is going on.
At the beginning of the season we got offers to take care our trees and mosquitoes from the same company. Is this mean that one department can’t communicate with another? We lost mature pear tree, another will be remove soon, same story, and all we got that people who is applying chemicals doesn’t know anything, but how to spray it. Be aware that by using this service longer than one season it might create problem for you, in our case it was losing mature Pear trees. You can see picture of second tree with drying branches. We are very disappointed with this service, level of knowledge for people who we rely on and lack of communications between departments.

I have been satisfied with my service for several years now. Very satisfied with my technician Jason **. I do however have an existing problem with black ants, which many of my neighbors have, however some have changed companies for their service and have had success with ending their ant issue. I still have a bad problem with the ants and cannot understand why you cannot have success ridding me of this problem. Your Customer Service is very good, but multiple calls for added services is annoying.

I have lived in half the USA and around the world. I retired in Huntsville in 1982 and can honestly state that my experience with TruGreen has been superb. If I had a question about a conceived bad application, I was listened to and on one occasion, the service provider came out and tended to the problem. Only once in all my years with this service. I would highly recommend TruGreen to any and all my friends. Best Lawn Care I have ever had in my 77 years.

We have used TruGreen for several years. Our service technician - Clifford is pleasant and professional. He always asks if we have questions and offers solid advice for the best possible lawn. He is sensitive to the heavy rain so far this season and offers suggestions for adjusting our sprinkler system. His guidance is appreciated.

Nancy and I have used TruGreen for our lawn, trees and shrubs now for many years. They’ve done an excellent job.No need to search for anyone else. Communications are good, the employees are knowledgeable, friendly and neighborly nice. If you have questions, they will have the answers or get one. We get a two day heads up when they are going to do work on our property. Highly recommend.

For over 25 years, I have been a customer (first w/ ChemLawn), then w/ Scotts (whom you bought out) and back to TruGreen. This is the first year I have had a major problem with crabgrass. Was the preemergence treatment put on my lawn this year like all the other years? Tech states he put spot weed killer down, if so why didn’t it take care of all the weeds? Haven’t been getting calls prior to treatments, I prefer them just In case I have plans for the lawn for the days you schedule treatments. Things better change or I will be using another company.

Grass is greener and looking much better than the last 3 years. Very few weeds and mushrooms. Very happy we decided to go with TruGreen we were ready to tear it up and have sod replaced. So far so good!

Always cooperative and easy to deal with. Technicians are great people. Our lawn looks good and NO MORE MOSQUITOES! I am prone mosquitoes finding and biting me. It’s especially not polite of the mosquitoes since I have “skin lupus.” Itchy, itchy and leaves scars.

The service has been very good up to this point. The shrubs and grass are growing full and green. We do have wild violets growing in the lawn and would like them to be eliminated if possible. Thank you for the service.

My lawn, trees and shrubs are in great hands with TruGreen. My neighbors tell me I have the best looking house on the block! Our house was built on a "wet lot", and keeping the lawn, trees and shrubs healthy, and after this winter, upright we had a small tree and a large evergreen that was part of our back fence privacy, that fell out of the ground, with root balls intact! Their service is great and I would highly recommend them.

The technicians are always pleasant and professional but the results are only marginal. Weeds continue to appear and the grass is sparse in other areas and not seem to be spreading. We have had aeration and overseeding in the past.
