I have Terminix for my home, a rental property and a cabin that I have, and I'm very satisfied. Our service has always been excellent. Paul has been doing my cabin in Lewistown for two years now, and he is very reliable. Because I do not live at my cabin, he comes quarterly, and he always calls me before he comes and after he's finished. I'm very pleased with his work and the way he contacts me.

Terminix was out here last week and did a spot treatment. Our last technician was fantastic and my wife said he was a gentleman. He was very thorough, hands-on, and very informative. I'm a real estate agent and I usually recommend Terminix to my clients. They are the best out there as far as I'm concerned.

Terminix has very easy, very friendly, and professional service. Unfortunately, rates increase and from what they told me, premiums increase for termite coverage year to year. This past year, they explained it to me a lot better than previously, so I understand better how they charge. In my area, I'm paying one of the lowest fees because I'm kind of grandfathered in since we started over 10 years ago. I don't think that what I pay is that bad for an annual service. Also, I haven't disliked anything. Customer service has always been helpful and the agents are always professional when they show up. If they come in the house, they make sure that they check their shoes or wear covers on their shoes before they walk on the carpet.

In the Fall of 2022, I signed up for the Terminix control of my property. I am in the process of selling my home within the next 60 days. I contacted Terminix to cancel my contract. Open calling and speaking with a representative. I was told in order to cancel; it would cost me $1000.00 to do this. So now I'm forced to maintain a contract at $100.00 a month on property that I am no longer occupying. I would NOT recommend TERMIX!

I just had a claim against Terminix for damage to my home. They made it right. They paid for having everything fixed and did a really heavy treatment for the termites. So, I was satisfied with what they did and they had some good contractors. My local pest control guy has been really good. He's very, very nice and will come back. If I call him, if there's a problem after he's been there, he comes right back and takes care of me.

I've been with Terminix for eight years now. They're reputable and dependable. They came for my annual inspection and they were very professional, did their job, got in, got out, explained to me what they were doing and sent me an email after for follow-up. However, the most recent one wasn't scheduled. The tech just showed up and I didn't know if he was coming. I just happened to be home. But he did a good job.

We called our regular guy, and he discovered some evidence of termites, so he got a termite specialist to come right away. This afternoon, they're coming to spray that area to get rid of the termites. They were super prompt, showed up right away, and they're getting the job done. Terminix has done a great job so far, and we've been super satisfied with Michael, the fellow that comes in and does our regular service calls throughout the year. He's been a great guy and he is always available when we need him and very knowledgeable. It's a wonderful service.

Terminix comes out once every three months, then they look and spray. Occasionally, one or two pests get by, but other than that, the pest activity has been good. I'd ask friends what their situation is, then let them know about Terminix.

We've been using Terminix for a long time. Every three months they come out and spray for bugs and spiders, then once a year, I have their termite protection plan. The technician that comes out every three months is absolutely wonderful, and the pest activity has been great. We'll get a few spiders here and there, and if we do, I call him and he comes out and re-sprays.

Terminix comes every three months, and the most recent visit was a good experience. They checked everything and did everything they were supposed to do all around the house, including the windows, the doors and the property. It was great. I've already told people that I would recommend them.

We had some rats in the basement, and the tech put some traps out, which took care of that. Our interaction was good. She was very thorough, knowledgeable and professional about what she did. She was very cordial and accommodating too. So, I was pleased. We've had Terminix for years, and the service has been very consistent. That’s the reason we stayed, and I'd tell people to go with them.

I've been with Terminix with two homes now, and I wouldn’t have the service if it wasn't top-notch. What I enjoy about Terminix is the technician always gives us a text the day before to remind us of the appointment. If we have any special request outside of what's included in the quarterly service, which is usually just the exterior of the home, we can just text that over and they take care of it. Yesterday, our quarterly service took place, and I asked for the interior to be serviced as well because we moved into this home just two months ago. I wanted an interior service again near all water sources and they took care of that for us.
The appointment’s automatically scheduled but if I need to adjust that quarterly service, I can adjust it easily on the app. Outside the automated quarterly services, if you need an additional service, you just schedule a follow-up on the app for an available date and they come out in addition to the quarterly service. It's not an additional charge. So if you're noticing activity in between the three months, you can schedule a follow-up any time.

Terminix is very responsive. They follow up with texts and phone calls. Also, they're prompt. They always tell me exactly what's going on and if they would be late or when they were coming. So, I can always rely on their schedule and they keep it. I'm very satisfied with the service. I will highly recommend them.

Terminix has scammed a senior citizen-me-and they refuse to correct their error. They are saying I signed a contract that I was not aware I was signing due to misrepresentation of what the details of a requested service were. I paid a receipt for a one-time service only, and they say I signed up for a several-year contract that I owe money on now. The manager at the office that is responsible for this deceit is rude and refuses to listen and deal with this issue. The service person who did not represent what I was signing for correctly is silent. I would swear on a Bible in court that I was deceived and did not sign up for this "contract". I expected what I told the service person what I wanted to be what I was signing for. I fear GOD more than anyone on this earth, so I would not lie. I am on a fixed income, and Terminix would rather cheat and cause stress for an elderly person with health issues than do the right thing.

In addition to poor communication this company now provides little to no service. As a customer for over 45 years and 3 generations, we currently have received the worst service including criticizing my wife and not responding to multiple service calls. When an appointment was set up with little customer notice, the technician went ahead and sprayed outside and asked to enter even though we canceled the appointment. And the branch management wouldn't return calls. Say blaming each other without getting back to me.
Regarding minor termite damage - the tech arranged a carpentry appointment but it was cancelled by the manager who said that the tech had no authority to do so. At one point while I was on the phone with the call center, the tech asked if the carpentry was completed. He had no idea what his manager was doing (cancelling?). The manager had to see the damage and said he would respond in 1-1.5 weeks. It's been nearly 3 weeks since his visit that included his tech sitting in my driveway for over 2 hours waiting for him. Multiple calls have been placed complaining about the branch and no one in management returns calls although I am repeatedly told that there is a 24-48 hour call back policy. Do not use this company or at least this branch in southeast Pennsylvania.

Terminix calls and asks if they can come on a certain day. And we agree or disagree. If we disagree, we can find another day. But they always call and see if they can come over at a certain time and day. They were here the other day. The lady knocked on the door politely and asked if she doesn't have to come in the house and just spray the outside. That was nice of her. They did a good job. I would recommend them to anyone.

I was in the middle of a refi on my mortgage and needed a pest inspection. The inspector for Terminix was professional, on time and knew what he was doing. It turned out we needed a heat treatment for dry wood termites. We scheduled the treatment and the treatment went well. After is when the trouble started. I needed a completion statement from Terminix for the refi company. I called the day after and was promised I would have it by noon, didn't come. Waited till the next day and called again and was told that the inspector wasn't available and the manager of the local office went home sick but he would have his assistant send me what I needed. Waited all day didn't come.
Called back in the afternoon and was told that they sent the manager an email with my request. Now I have to wait till Monday. Monday morning I call and the call center rep speaks to the manager and tells me he is at his desk and will send it promptly. This paperwork is all I need to complete the refi. I wait 1/2 hour and still nothing. so I call back. I am irate now as it seems I have been lied to for 3 days. I get a different rep and I ask to connected with either her supervisor or the branch managers' supervisor. She tells me repeatedly that she can't do that. I explain to her what I have gone through over the last 3 days and that I'm not hanging up till I get what I need. She tells me that she has assisted me all she can, and I again tell her that I'm not hanging up till I get what I called about.
We sit on the phone for 1/2 hour with no progress. I can't believe that they have no way to deal with an irate customer. Finally she transfers me to the branch manager that she spoke to (I knew she could do that as I had talked with him the previous Thursday). He tells me that he has repeatedly told them to transfer customers or give them his phone number and email. He tells me he is sending an email that will show me completion of the treatment. What I got was an invoice. I tell him that won't do and I need to send something to the mortgage company that tells them I had the heat treatment done. He tells me they don't have a standard form and will have to create something. I give him the benefit of the doubt and hang up. 10 minutes later he calls me back and sends me an email with what I signed the day of the treatment that says the work was completed to my satisfaction.
I hope that this is acceptable as proof of treatment to the refi company or I need to start this all over again. I asked him if I was the first customer that needed something like this and he said that for other treatments they have something but not for heat treatments. I find that hard to believe, but hopefully what he sent will be enough. Their call center leaves much to be desired and were no help in this matter at all.

I tried Terminix and it worked 100%. I've had an excellent experience. They would keep coming back to spray all the way until the next spray, three months later. That's justifying the $229 cost. There is no difficulty reaching customer service and their representative was thorough. I asked a couple of detailed questions that I thought he would freak out about. But he acted normal and answered them with the correct answers on the phone. He was a decent guy.
Call Terminix and they would get somebody out. The guy that came out for me was above average, professional, and very good. I haven't seen one problem after the service. The only thing about Terminix is it's expensive. I'd go out and pay $50 worth of bug stuff at the Home Depot than pay 229. But I didn't do any research and I wasn't paying attention. I thought it was 129. But I guess that's the going rate.

The Terminix tech we had initially was great. We were sad to see him leave. But we went through a hit and miss for a while with different people. But we've had Zach now for a long time. He's the best. Zach would text me, "I'll be there in such and such day." And I would say, "Okay, I'll be home." And if I'm not home, that's fine. He does the same. My husband and I laughed because I always send a glowing report. And I was like, "Oh, my God. He's probably gonna get promoted and then we won't have him anymore." Which is good for him, but sad for us. Pest activity went down to zero even in our bigger home.

Terminix sends me a reminder once every two months and every two or three months, someone comes out. It’s pretty routine. We've had two different techs so far. When one was on vacation, somebody else came in his place. They were just as friendly and very courteous. They didn't go into my backyard without my permission. One of the techs has been coming here for maybe six months and he actually knows the property now. He always asked if I needed anything extra or special.
When I first moved in, there was just a tremendous amount of pests. Our whole house is outlined by these massive trees and bushes so they're perfect for pests to hang out in. The routine maintenance from Terminix has been very helpful. The service has been good and it's actually working. I've actually seen improvement in my issue with spiders. The pest activity has decreased significantly.

I contacted Terminix for a termite problem. They are responsive and they schedule treatments on a periodic basis. Their techs come on schedule. The cost is a little higher but they do a good job.

Scheduling service with Terminix was easy and their techs were always positive. They let me know when they were coming and they always sent me a text about what they did. Terminix is great and that's why I keep them. They fixed my termite problem and my outdoor carpenter ants. I haven't had a problem since they've been servicing me.

Paid for a year in advance, service started and billed on January 31. I had to have auto pay they said due to bundle service; insect and termite. At 10 months, they charge my credit card the auto renewal cost. I had no notification that the charge would be earlier that a normal 30 days before end of contract. I did get a thank you for the payment. Hmm. I called and explained all this, but they refused to fix their mistake and called it a “valid charge” even though it was two months before end. The representative even commented that he can see that it was charged early.
I was guided to their website while on the phone and found that the current insect control service is cheaper than my discounted renewal. Hmm. I finally decided that I can do everything that they come to do on my own, at a fraction on the cost and I can include my out buildings, which they would not do. I called to cancel and they had no problem losing a customer. I have learned my lesson. Thank you Terminix for teaching me that you do not value your customers.

We had cockroaches. We just moved into the house and the upkeep wasn't there. So, there were a couple of things crawling around. We got Terminix and the technician that comes to our home was awesome. He was very practical and helpful.

I've had Terminix as a vendor for several years and they provide adequate service. I have an ongoing quarterly contract with them where they come out and spray the house for pests. They came out recently and sprayed the yard. Their techs usually text when they're coming. I work from home, so I usually see when they're here. They also text me when they have completed the job. I'm satisfied. I still have pests around but Terminix helps. We have reasonable control of the pests in and around our yard.

Terminix has been very helpful in certain situations. We started out with a flea infestation, which is why we started the service. We've had the same technician for 20 years. He's very good. He calls us and says, "What's going on?" and responds in emergencies.

I have rats and mice. Even though they did an inspection, it was only today I was told I had rats. They are running through the walls and nobody told me and nothing was done yet. I paid $5,500 for their service but the techs are very disappointing. They come and ask me what they should do and how to trap the rodents! I tell them they are the experts and they say it depends and leave in a few minutes. Subpar job. Very disappointed with the service.

When the tech comes over, he would text and he has a very nice attitude. But he gets notified on the day or the day before and and it gives me less than 24 hours to be ready. He would call me up and say I'm scheduled for 8:00 the next morning or at 8:00 in the morning, he would call and say he would come by at 11:00. Give me at least two days' notice that you're coming and what time you're coming. Also, if I called, I'll never get an answer on the phone unless they call after 4:00 my time. And it doesn't go to the mainland. It comes to the local office with somebody still there. The office closes around 4:30 so there's nobody to answer. Had I called before 4:00, it's routed to the mainland.

We've had some difficulties with Terminix in the past but the last technician was excellent. He found the bait stations. The time before that, they couldn't find the stations.

Terminix is great. I had bunches of ants and it took the tech a couple of times to come out but they came out very promptly and got rid of them. The tech was very thoughtful and helpful.

Everybody that comes to my house was always very polite and usually, if I call that I need something, they're right on the ball. The only thing is the prices keep going up and I don't know how much longer I can keep their services. For pest control, I pay $100 every three months and that's a lot of money. That's $400 a year and I live on a fixed income.

Ellington is one of the nicest human beings I've ever met. He works very hard and he calls up the day before and he checks with us. Even if he's just going to be outside, he lets us know, just a heads-up, and I really like the man. He's very good. Terminix is easy to communicate with. If I have any major problems, I feel very comfortable calling them up and they usually come in and take care of it right away.

Representative came out to my house last February and pitched his service, which sounded good at that time. As the months went on and no reply for my request of service was ignored, I became concerned. I sent emails and left messages, but the rep never replied. I was also told that my contract costs would drop in half after six months and they didn't. I have had infestations of carpenter bees and wasps. Spiders and bugs but no reply when I complained. This Terminix office is based in Jonesville, Va. You can do much better!

I was quoted three different early termination fees. When I finally received the correct quote I asked Kendra to process the fee because I won't be home when they come and get the bait. She informed me after several attempts that supervisors doesn't speak to customers in her department. They also tried to process a payment three times causing a withdrawal fee after sending a bill to my house. They informed me I had mice and I was about to pay for insulation along with a gutter guard. When I called another pest control they informed me I didn't have mice.. They are dishonest towards their customers. I believe when they see a single woman they just tell them anything.

Terminix does our pest control and they come out about every three months and spray around the outside of my home and put down traps in the garage areas. If I need them to, they will come inside the home to spray for bugs and they also do our termite control. I have one regular technician who’s consistently coming and he’s good. But the last two times, it’s been a different technician each time so I haven't been able to build a relationship with them.

Had to call back multiple times throughout the three month period. The product does not last, we were constantly seeing something. There was always an excuse "it's the rain, it's the cold" (No, we did not have an infestation, but we live by woods). They specifically advertise that they provide rodent extermination/control. I had a mouse in my room and they gave me a glue trap. When I informed them that I had already tried this, he responded, "Mice are dumb." Obviously, it did not work and I had to catch the mouse by hand in a bucket. I wanted to make sure there were no rats in the garage because my dog kills them and they said there is nothing that they can do about that. (so what exactly am I paying for here?).
I had several miscommunications about appointments. They changed them without notice. I asked them to come out and spray one last time before the 3 month term ended and they sprayed the inside and told me they couldn't treat the outside until the rain dried up. They came back to perform the OUTSIDE TREATMENT ONLY, and charged me for a new term of three months saying that it was a whole service performed. I have received countless bills and I called repeatedly and asked for management. It only took them 4 months to respond, only to tell me that I owe them an entire 3 months payment for the one OUTSIDE ONLY treatment they performed. I've been dealing with Terminix for years. I've never really had a problem. They schedule it and they do the inspection. Typically, we get a report back with pictures. They do a good job. I would recommend them.

We were having a remodeling done in 1981 and termites were discovered in the wall behind the kitchen. So, we had Terminix come out and they took care of that. We had their service at that time for the baits in the ground. Subsequent to that, they must have treated that with something liquid. And then, we switched over to the liquid again that they sprayed around the house for some reason. Some salesman sold us that. Now we're back to the baits in the ground. And we have not had termites anymore. Terminix has been adequate and maybe beyond. They come once a year and inspect those baits and inspect inside the house.

To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. I rated this a no star. When Michael R came out to do our so-called inspection. Which he did not do. He came inside and asked what we were looking for. I explained that we are not home a lot and travel a lot for work. So, we needed outside mice control only. We needed regular checkups to make sure the problem is taken care of. He went over his Rodent control package, including outside spray and we did not want the outside spray due to our animals. We also did not need anything else, but he convinced us that the termite control is included and at no extra charge. We would be charged a monthly fee and the techs will come out every month to check and rebait traps. If the traps show no activity, then they will come out every other month.
I received a text message from the termite tech twice since 4/2/2022 the date of our contract. The mice tech only once and he only put one trap near my garage. Due to us traveling we hired a caretaker for our horses, and she had never seen anyone come out and do any work. I called the number for the local Terminix office and got a call center. The lady informed me that they only come out once a year and I'm paying for all the bait traps and installation. I explained to her what the inspector said it was monthly due to the bait trap for the mice, she said he sprayed I told her they were not supposed to spray, we did not want that due to the animals. This explained why my horse had gotten sick. They sprayed where my horse grazed. She also informed me that we don't have termites and why did we get termite control when we don't have any.
The call center sent a message to the Local office seeing how they have an address, but everyone works remotely. I never heard from management. I waited several days and called again. This time I got a different. I explained that I needed to speak to management in the local office and explained why. She apologized for what happened to me but said all she can do is send a message. Again, someone will get back to me soon as they check their messages. This I got every time I called. Today I made it clear that I was going to take this viral if no one calls me. Nobody called. So, what we are paying them for 1 year is $1490.08 to do nothing. I can cancel but I would be charged Penalties and Obligations fees. I Do Not Recommend Terminix at all.

We've had Terminix at our previous house. A couple of times, we've had ant issues, so we had to call and have them come out and do an extra spray. But they have always been very responsive.

We have had issues with mice entering our home off and on for several years. We were able to trap and release them without issues. But then they decided to enter our living spaces on the 2nd floor of our home. That was the straw, and we called Terminix to help. Evan came out and did what you could say was a solid inspection of where the mice could be entering from, took several photos of the areas that would need attention, and told us what the plan of action would be. $1900.00 to seal the house up at these points, and an additional $180.00 per year. And with the amount of mice we had been trapping, we thought an additional 4 years would be good as it would cover any and every return to reseal any new points of entry into our home.
He even gave us a price break on 1 of the years by taking $100.00 off. But, in the end, none of that came about because he "forgot to save the page" before he sent the order in for scheduling and payment had been made. Unfortunately, we did not check the math. Later that day, we did finally get the email of our services and the day they would be out, and noticed it was not correct. We called Evan and told him of the error. He said he could be back in a day or 2 and fix the issue. But we were leaving town, and said we would let him know when we would return. Upon our return, the crew was at the house the next day and began work.
Now, here is where it gets REALLY fun.. We were told by Evan that he could either cancel the contract and redo it, or we could call 800 Terminix and buy the warranty over the phone. We opted for choice #1, but Evan was unable to be here when the crew was here. His manager told him he cannot cancel the contract since they were already doing the work, and we would need to call the 800 # to get the additional warranty. Guess what!?? The 800 # does nothing but schedule appointments! They have NO INVOLVEMENT with warranties, selling of or filing of claims! It's all done by the salesperson and their offices ONLY!!! So, now we have spent over $2000.00 and got a 1 year warranty and no way to keep our house safe and clear of mice. Well, guess what Terminix!? There are OTHER companies out there that WILL DO AS PROMISED!

Recently, the Terminix tech called to tell me he was coming over to check the bait stations for termites in New Jersey. He called me when he was done, and said that he replaced them all and that if I had any questions, to call. It was a very good experience. He was very pleasant and nice. But a lot of times, I don't see the techs, and I don't get a phone call, I just get a bill.
For example, I was billed from Terminix on September 30 on my credit card. I have no idea what that service was. It's the way they do their billing. I have properties in two states and I don't know who's who. I didn't know anybody was coming to either New Jersey or Florida. Nobody had called me and said they were coming. Their billing should be identified more, especially when you're putting it on a charge card. That's why the last time when I spoke to someone from Terminix, I said I want to pay yearly. I just want to pay it one time and then I'd know. But I'm satisfied with them.

It was the most horrible encounter I ever experienced. I’ve been in the customer service environment almost 30 years and never would I assume that the level of poor customer service offered to me could be so low and despicable. I’m in the process now of submitting complaints to every organization that have to do with Consumer Affairs, and contact a lawyer to sue Terminix for misrepresentation and lies.. I literally had a salesperson come inside my home who did not say that he was a salesperson, and took my money for a service that was free, again the salesperson I later found out name is Kenneth. Yesterday again Terminix took a payment out of my account for his services I specifically told Salesman Kenneth I did not want. After standing in line to pay for my items and told I did not have enough I immediately found out it was due to Terminix.
I spoke with a nice lady there who not only informed me that he did do this, but also took money for service that was supposed to be free. This morning I got a call from a Manager that arrogantly called himself John and spelled out his last name. This manager was so rude, so arrogant and took me being upset, which anyone would be if someone walked in their home and stole from them. I personally believed there’s no explanation other than my money was stolen. ManagerJohn when I finish explaining started with “we rendered a service”, from there it went downhill on a razor slope. He did not offer me a resolution, but gave me plenty of debates, arguments and deflections. Then try to tell me what good customer service is.
I would say stay clear of this company because they are inhumane, they do not have any moral compass, and they’re very greedy. I say the company because they hired these thieves and immoral people with no empathy. I currently got Tricon who I rent from drawing PaperWorks to show that they did the service to get rid of my issue, not Terminix. All I got from $128 and $139 was someone who came out and laid two wooden traps in the attic, and didn’t even come back on the time that he said he was going to, to check the traps.
8 days ago I did a review with Yelp, and I called to file a complaint with Terminix instead of Manager John R. looking at the notes I was told going to be left, and perform deescalating the situation about my refund he elevated it. It was quite simple, read notes that the young lady wrote and tell me when I’m going to get my refund. Now it’s going to be in the hands of every organization that refers to consumer affairs that I can possibly drum up. I would have never believe that such poor customer service from management could be possible in the manner of which it was. I knew I could get my money back, but wanted to give Terminix a fair chance to make this right, they failed miserably.

The Terminix agent came out recently and looked for bugs, and did a little external spraying. The first tech who came out was excellent. She was very clear about what she was there to do. She didn't try to upsell anything. She did her thing and she went off on her way. Most of the actual technicians have all been very good. I only had one that seemed to try to upsell me a little, but I wasn't interested so he backed off. For the most part, it's been professional. They did their jobs and would get on their way. However, it's too expensive. They're worth looking into, but people should check their price.

I used their service for three months, and they can not solve the problem with ants that I have. I cancel the service, and they charged me $72 cancelation fee even though the service was bad. Furthermore, I do not recommend this company.

They come out every two months and they do a general pest control around the exterior of the home. They ask if we've had any issues inside and if we do, they'll treat the inside. But if we're not having inside issues, they just treat the outside. So they spray around the base of the home, treat any kind of one-off issues that they find, and then they're gone. The technician who services our house is great. When we get closer to a repeat treatment, we see more bugs show up. So the frequency is right and it seems to do its job. I've been very happy with Terminix. But we've had two price increases in the last year. It was $79 every treatment before to $105 now. It's getting to a point where if we get another price increase, we might be chopping it.

The techs are fantastic, knowledgeable, and kind. If you're using this service to get rid of spiders, for instance, I fully recommend them. HOWEVER, we were sold a contract to eliminate our mice and exclude our house. After almost a year our house still has mice in the walls. They sent three techs out who all concluded we need a contractor and they cannot help us.
I asked for my money back and the manager said he would get back to me within a week - it's been almost a month and I feel like he's been dodging my messages. I even sent him a timeline of what happened. I tried to reach out to Terminix to cancel my contract and they won't even let me do that without talking to the same guy who's been avoiding me for a month. I am filing a BBB and Attorney general dispute and I suggest if anyone else is having this issue they do the same.

Terry is really nice. He came a few times. He normally sends an email or a text or calls before he comes. He knocks when he comes. This last time, he just knocked and then he automatically started spraying outside. Then he knocked again to come in. Overall, he's okay. But I did kind of tell him where to spray inside and I thought he already knew pretty much what needed to be sprayed. But the last time, he missed the bathroom. Other than that, everything was good.
Originally, I scheduled the service online. But there was an instance when I was gone and my husband called and said, "Did you know Terminix was coming?" I said, "No." I haven't paid anything and I didn't speak to anybody. I told him, "I'm not sure why they're there. They didn't call." The tech had already sprayed outside. Then they had to send him back to do the inside. But everything was smooth sailing. Normally, they'll send a text message before they come. But I didn't get a text or an email so I wasn't here. I didn't even know that they were coming. Since I had the quarterly service, Terminix automatically scheduled it. But I didn't know this. So I had to call customer service. I spoke with somebody in the office and he was really nice. He explained to me. He said, "Oh, with the quarterly. Whatever they have available and when they are in the area, they just automatically schedule it."

My neighbor's house was infested and the pests started coming over to me. I reached out to my landlord to have them fix the issue but they never came to do that. I went ahead and made arrangements myself. I kept the service with Terminix because it wasn't really bad on my end. At first, we couldn't get anything under control. But they told me I had to keep going multiple times. Once I did that, everything went well and I started seeing less of the pests. I ended up moving for personal issues. I called Terminix and told them I did not want to keep my service. I just wanted them to come and get me together a few times just to make sure nothing came with me. It was no issue.
Terminix's communication was very well with people that I dealt with. If I wasn't there, I would get a text message or a phone call a day or a few days in advance. Terminix does a great job. But I need to cancel my subscription because I haven't seen anything. I've been in my place since June. The tech that came for service sprayed the outside and the inside for me. If I need Terminix again, I will call them back.

I used Terminix for 20 years. It started being preventative. And I had two contracts, Termite and Pest. A friend had suggested another one in addition, so I used them. The people who came to my house were knowledgeable and so lovely.

I wish I saw these reviews prior of getting service from Terminix. I had service with them 8/31/22 for pest and termite cause we saw rat droppings at home, but never actually saw the rat(s) so we don't know how many there were. I was charged with at least $6400 and would be paying $123 every month for 12 months in addition for the pest control services, so total would be almost $8K.
Since it was obviously expensive, I chose financed. I asked couple of times how much my monthly would be, agent said finance would call me. He said I would get the contract that I signed on my email but I didn't get it that day so the next day I asked again for it, didn't get again until the following day. When I saw the contract my monthly would be around $400 so I said I would just pay it off since there’s additional charge for finance.
Now the agent said I would have to get the first billing statement first before I can pay it off which I don't understand why but oh well. On 8/31 they put baits in our house and sealed entry and exit points. The technician said he would be back to do the attic but he never did. I told the agent, he said he would follow up, never heard about it.
I messaged him again last week, haven’t heard back. We caught one big rat using OUR OWN bait from Amazon on 9/4 and since then we’ve never seen any signs of a rat, no droppings anywhere; not even one. Our house also got fumigated on 9/9. It was good until the tent was removed. After the tent was removed, the electrical wires around the house were hanging loose. Socal gas told us we would need to get an electrician to fix it. More money to spend. I feel like we paid so much for catching 1 rat and for the services that was either incomplete or caused us more money to fix.

This is easily the worst service experience I have had ever. I have had Terminix pest service off and on for some time and have never had an issue until I included the exclusionary services. The ordeal started on 7/5/22 and is still ongoing. To start, I believed that there was possibly some large critter in my attic that I did not feel capable of dealing with. Dan ** came out and did an inspection. I was told that I had "3 flying squirrels". Absolutely Terminix Exclusionary could take care of them for me. The initial price was $2214.34, which included removal and the patching of any possible entryways. There was also an extra service of new insulation and sanitization for an additional large sum, which I declined.
The scheduling over the next couple weeks was a nightmare, requiring a number of calls and multiple appointments to accomplish. Once the techs came though and everything was finally done with the patching portion of the service though, I asked what we were going to do about the squirrels that were already up there - he said "What squirrels?" I shared Dan's evaluation, so he set a couple of rat traps and we set up a day and time for him to check them. That day came and went. I called and was told that I wasn't on the schedule for that day- I was on for the following week. On 8/4/22 the technician arrives and checks the traps- no squirrels. When I asked, he said he saw no evidence of there ever being squirrels in my attic and asked who told me there were. I said "Dan **". He frowned and said there had been a number of complaints regarding Dan, but there was nothing we could do about it because he was no longer with the company.
After he left, I called and asked to speak with a manager. I was told the issue would be escalated and the branch manager would return my call in 24-48 hours. I waited. I called again. Yes, we see the note, not sure why no one called. Again an escalation, this time to the district manager. Expect a call in 24-48 hours. Repeat two days later with escalation to the regional manager. “Please hold.” When they got back on the line, I was told that they had the regional manager’s secretary pull him out of a meeting and that he would be calling me as soon as the meeting was over. I waited – no call. I call. Again. Yes, we see the notes. They would try the branch manager. Sigh.
I finally get a call from the service manager (not the branch, district, or regional manager) the next day. I explain everything. When I got to the part about the regional manager being pulled out of a meeting, he chuckled and said that’s impossible. The regional manager works from home and doesn’t have a secretary. He apologized and asked to come out to my property and take a look for himself. I said honestly, I just want a refund. He said he understood but please give him a chance to make it right. He arrives and after checking out the attic he says that he saw two small piles of squirrel droppings but there was no way to know how long they had been there and who told me I had squirrels? OMG. I tell him about Dan – and he chuckled. He just shook his head and laughed about his employee lying to me. WOW.
At this point, I tell him I want a refund and I no longer want Terminix at my property, ever. He says he understands and that he would be in touch with his manager and call me the following day. He calls as promised and tells me that as far as his manager is concerned, they provided me a service which I paid for. There will be no refund. He would rather fix it by providing me better service in the future. I said that is unacceptable and I feel at least a partial refund was warranted because the service I received was nowhere near satisfactory, not to mention the original service I was purchasing (the removal of the squirrels) was not performed since obviously there were no squirrels. He said he would speak with his manager again - he would call me Monday (it was Friday afternoon at that point). That was the last I heard from him. After reading the other reviews posted, my hopes are not high this will end well.

We had an ant issue in our garage, and we needed somebody to deal with it so I gave Terminix a call. They were easy to work with. Their price was good. They've been out a couple of times and did exactly what they said they would do. They took care of the ant issue on the first visit. And on the second visit, they found a wasp nest that I didn't know existed and took that out. I was happy with them.

We recently canceled our Terminix membership. They came out going door to door, offering a promotion, and after a year, I realized we were never getting a promotion. I had multiple times to get in touch with customer service, and nobody got back to me. As long as we scheduled within the times and days that were offered to us, it was a $50 service for however long we continued. When looking at the bank statements, we were charged 190 every single time. I called a customer service line and they put in some kind of note to the manager of our local Terminix, and nobody from the local one ever got in touch with us, so I finally just said, “Okay, just cancel altogether.” The technician that we dealt with was the same technician, and he was super nice. I needed to reschedule and have a different time more than once, and he was always really great and super responsive.

We're seeing a lot of roaches on the inside lately, and I need to get them to come out to do the inside of the house again. The tech who came the first time was pleasant. I've had the same Terminix guy over the last few years at both houses of mine. Any problems we've had, he's eliminated them. I haven't had too many problems at my new house. In the older house, he had more work to do because of where it was located. He did a great job there, too. I had some questions about some bugs that I did see about a month ago, and I called him, and he explained everything to me and gave me the information that way if I had any questions, I'd be able to see what he was talking about with the type bugs. He didn't have to come back out because it was just something that everybody was getting. He came later on and did the regular spray.

Had them put their termite bait systems in my backyard. Oh My God, what a joke. They lead people to believe that the termite bait system attracts termites and it does not. The story they told me was that termites get attracted to their bait systems and then they carry whatever it is supposed to be in it back to their termite family (the ones in our wall) and then they die. WHAT A LINE OF CROCK **) Oh my GOD! How do these people get away with such CRAP LIES! Well, I lost $1088.00 and I hope that anyone reads this and saves themselves from wasting any money. Oh and also I paid $150 to them to spray my house for bugs and the guy that came in my house stayed here about 5 minutes and sprayed but it did nothing. So, please don't waste any money with these thieves, because that is what they are.

Updated on 09/17/2022: I wrote a previous review in regards to this company and was told the company would reach out to 24-48 hours. I was expecting a phone call and still have not heard anything. My overall experience has been traumatizing for myself and my family. We are still out of 3000 dollars and we were lied to during the entire process and still have bed bugs eating not only myself but my son and special needs daughter. I am now working with the military to see what steps I can take to get them blacklisted for military personnel in my area since I am a veteran and nobody else never needs to experience this.
Original Review: I was told to wait a month between sprays with no progress. Unfortunately they can not get rid of the bed bugs and will not issue a refund. Please be advised if you don't have 3,000 to waste you will better off finding another company.

This was one of the most terrible experiences I've had as a customer. We hired Terminix for nearly $2000.00 for a year contract to address a problem with bats. They have: 1) done no-shows multiple times, 2) failed to eliminate bats, 3) damaged our property, 4) failed to give us a full refund, and 5) taken hours of our time as we tried to schedule appointments and get the help we needed. Their techs are inexperienced and appear to have no training on bat removal.
A cursory review of the research showed us that they were not even using the most basic strategies to protect our home. They were unavailable on the phone and missed appointments. My husband had to go to the ER after contact with a bat. We have now hired another company for 2700.00 to remove the bats. We will be litigating for a refund.

I've got two different things with Terminix. One is the bait stations and the warranty, and the other is a quarterly spraying. They come out once a year to check on the 10 bait stations they installed. There was supposed to be someone coming over to do a review and I haven't heard back on that. Also, they didn't do a map when they put the bait stations in, and there are five that they can't find. I'm dissatisfied with that, and I'm going to call them today and see what I can do about canceling that. On the other hand, I'm satisfied with the quarterly spraying for centipedes. The quarterly guy does a very good job.

I totally agree with the below reviews saying there should be a zero star option. So quick to arrive and take our money and then had to call or email to have anyone come back again, even though we had continued service! Their traps killed 3 field mice total in 6 months, their sticky traps for spiders killed more by far, which their worker had just offered us as an extra because he had them on hand. I bought old school snap traps from the dollar store and have easily killed over 30 for under $10. Clearly I wasted my money with this company, as I’ve done a better job myself. I tried to contact them, as we hadn’t seen anyone since April/May and they told me my contract ran out in July so they had no interest in helping me.
Well what about May and June min? My poison traps were empty for months, I had no contact with anyone from the company during this time, and you would think you would have a final visit regardless. Customer service was absolutely horrendous when I tried to express my frustration. Including saying that their service was ‘just to maintain the population and not eradicate the problem.’ Umm aren’t you an extermination company?! Customer service had ZERO interest in helping me. I would NEVER suggest to use this company and in fact will happily tell everyone to actively avoid it.

When the lady came out here several months ago, she called me and the phone number was listed as unidentifiable. I have quit answering unavailable calls because if they're not available, I'm not either. If you're unavailable, you must be a crook of some kind. Other than that, the lady was really nice. She called, told me who she was, then she came and did her job. She was very pleasant and efficient, and I was pleased with her effort. I couldn't ask for a better representative.

We've been very happy with Terminix, so far. We have our monthly service and our spray guy is very good. He always gives me notice ahead of time and lets me know he's coming, which is usually on a Friday. He addresses whatever needs I have, and they will come out if I have any other issues. The service is always really good. It's cockroach season, so we see a lot of dead cockroaches and bugs. So whatever they're doing is working.

We needed the service to fix the termite problem.. After a year I canceled the service and requested to have the baits removed.. I called several times to find out when it was going to be removed. No one would call back as I was told they would.. I had work done on the property and the baits had to be removed.. I eventually purchased another termite bait system thru Amazon and installed them myself after the work was done on the property…
What is really frustrating is that I get a text that the appointment was made without a phone call to confirm.. The tech went ahead and removed the baits that I put down.. Those baits don’t have a name on them like the way Terminix has.. Why assume that was there was to be removed without speaking to the homeowner first.. You just don’t walk on someone property and assume it’s ok.. When I did get a hold of the tech, he was informed to put back all the baits.. He did such a sloppy job in placing back the baits.. I am really annoyed with how sloppy this company is!!

They come out quarterly. When they came out recently, it was awesome. Our operator's the same guy we've always had. He always comes and greets us by our first name. He's always remembering our families and always asking how things are going. Very professional, very on top of it, always making sure he can go into the areas that he needs and always asking for permission. He's super awesome. It's always clean and clear in here, especially after they would come out, you could definitely tell the difference in the pest activity.

We have been loyal Terminix customers since 2008. We purchased a "higher level" plan that included repair work in the event of any termite damage. We recently had new windows put in the home. One of the windows was unable to be installed due to excessive termite damage (can not secure window). Since that time (about four weeks ago), I have made DOZENS of calls to the Terminix Call Center. Each call, they assure me that I will receive a call back in "24-48 hours". Nothing. I have emailed the inspector, the branch manager, and the regional director. No one has returned my calls. I can guarantee that if I avoided paying my yearly charge, they would contact me immediately. All we are wanting is to determine whether the termite damage is active/dormant, and to repair the damage--per our contract. I do not recommend this company--take your money elsewhere. A good company is one that will be present when there's an issue.

We are on schedule every three months. The first technician wasn't doing his job, and when I reached out, it was taken care of pretty quick. The second technician has been fine, and we've never had a problem since. We were getting mice, but now, there's a little pest activity to none. We're very happy with Terminix.

Terminix technicians come out quarterly. We have a big farm where we grow corn, soybeans, wheat, and lots of grain products. We have a rodent problem and I can't stand varmints. We have the buildings and storage sheds and varmints get in the equipment and everything else. We have to stay on top of things because those varmints start creeping back. We have lots of birds, geese and ducks and everything that come by the farm. Even the black birds are trying to eat up the outer side of the corn. We have more birds and different things feeding off of the crops than ever.
A technician just was out at my farm the other day. I was surprised that the technician was always so good to text me that he was on the way to my farm and that he arrived. I'm working and on the job and he takes care of us. I sent the payment check in yesterday so we're fine. If I hear somebody in my neighborhood talking about having an aggravating problem, I tell them that they need to call Terminix and have things done.

Terminix Residential Pest Control Complaint / Review – for the Duluth Branch located at 3400 Corporate Way Suite G, Duluth, GA (800) 837-6464 – Branch Manager: ** / Service Manager: **. I used Terminix quarterly service since June 2005 with no issues – they only sprayed inside, as a new build, when I moved in, then only outside service for the next 16.25 years. I own a townhouse on the end of my building, so there are 3 sides – front is 2 garage doors, short sidewalk, small front porch with 1 door; side has one very large foyer window; backyard is completely fenced with locked gate. My Terminix account has a note requesting prior notice of scheduled service for gate to be unlocked.
From June 2005 thru September 2021, prior notice was never a problem. Just as a side note – I have a Nest doorbell, & 2 security cameras (front & back). On 12/17/21 an unscheduled technician arrived at 8:00am, I was not home – he walked in front of the garage doors & took a picture of wood trim just above driveway; made 1 quick toss of some type of product in a handheld gadget, toward a tiny garden area on the left of my sidewalk & then another quick toss over shrubs on the right side – this was 6-7’ from front door & porch. The entire time on my property, he was on the phone discussing his lack of sleep the night before because someone had surgery (sounded like a knee operation) & kept him awake all night. He was at my home for 7 minutes, never even walked along the side of house, & the backyard gate was locked.
Bill shows picture he took, & lists 3 products used (Delta Dust, Granular Scatter Bait, & Residual Aerosol – I assume one of these products was in the handheld gadget), & I was billed $138 for non-existent quarterly service. I FIRST called the phone # above on 12/20/21, spoke with a very nice customer service representative – explained in great detail the issue, added I was a loyal customer for 16.5 years, & asked her to make a note on my account. She removed the $138 (without my having to ask), advised I would receive a call back from ** (branch manager) & ** (service manager), assuring me Customer Service is their #1 Priority.
SECOND call was made on 1/6/22 & THIRD call on 1/13/22 – same as 1st call, very nice representative(s), read to me the previous notes documented on my account with each call. Assured me ** (branch manager) & ** (service manager) would return my call(s). I advised that if I did not receive a phone call, then my Service Agreement (contract expired in 2006) was terminated. ****No calls ever received - obviously customer service is not even remotely a priority for Terminix & customer loyalty means nothing.****
But the saga continued – March would have been my normal schedule, but instead, on 4/29/22 I received a text from a new technician, **, confirming service for 4/30/22 – so I called him, explained all info noted above, he apologized & assured ** (branch manager) & ** (service manager) would really call me, this time. On 6/23/22 I again received text from **, confirming service for 6/25/22. This time I met with him when he arrived & we again discussed past events, & he guaranteed ** (branch manager) & ** (service manager) would both contact me. ****AGAIN - NO CALLS EVER RECEIVED.****
On 6/28/22 at 6:57am I received a text advising the same technician (from December 2021) was en route to my home. He arrived at 7:00am & I watched him on 2 cameras - he walked back & forth in front of garage doors carrying a long pole with a duster type brush in hand, walked along the side of home still carrying the pole, walked up to front porch & took a picture of a cobweb, swept the duster brush once across the ceiling, walked back to his truck where he chatted briefly with a neighbor asking him a termite question. At my house for 8 minutes, most of which he was sitting in his truck, & my bill shows 1 picture of a cobweb (no products or treatment listed) – bill amount is $166. ****What a steal of a deal – 1 picture & 1 swish of a duster brush – all that for $166!!****
****HIGHLY RECOMMEND**** - to everyone receiving Pest Control Residential Service from the Duluth GA Branch of Terminix - to check the technician's name (**) on your most recent Terminix Service Bill. I've been with Terminix for six months now and they've been good. They seem to be reliable when it comes to the reason that we went with them. They come out and keep you informed of stuff. We have them, not only doing the termite thing that they put into the ground but also other pest control for some roaches that they identified that were different than what I was looking at.
We also had some squirrels in the ceiling upstairs and we haven't fully gotten that squared away. I was told on the phone that they would come out and they would identify entry points into the house. The problem was that there was no way that they were ever going to identify the entry points because no one from the company was going to be scaling a ladder to look at where the entry points might have been. It was some guy looking from down below saying, "I think it's there and there." But it wasn't at all those locations. I told him so and he wasn't about to go up on a ladder. For that aspect of Terminix service, I did not go with them. But for the other two things that they dealt with, I'm satisfied with that aspect.

The techs have been here twice. They spray around the house then inside in the basement, and some pests have gone, but some still seem to stay around. We have lots of spiders. My husband was here the first time they came, while I was here the second time, and the tech was a nice fella. On a different note, I would like to get a copy of my original contract that I signed because I can't find it. I thought that I already paid a large portion of it, but then I got billed again when the tech came this time. I would like to know where I am.

We have been Terminix customers for over 30 years and have no complaints. Recently we had some termite damage that needed to be treated and repaired. Someone came out quickly to start a claim request. That was four weeks ago, and other than having someone come out and retreat the area, no one has contacted us. We call every day and get the same person who says they are aware of the problem and someone will get back to us within four hours, one day, 48 hours, etc.
We have asked to speak to a supervisor or someone in the claims department and are told that information can't be given out. We are living with our floor torn up in the main part of the house. It is frustrating to be lied to every day and have no one else to contact. To add insult to injury, one of the first persons to contact us at the beginning of this was a salesman that we signed up with for added services to the tune of over $1,000 because we thought it was a trustworthy company. Regretting it.

When I first called Terminix, ants were coming out and they went in the kitchen. They were everywhere. But now they're completely gone. The technician comes on time. He does his job, and he lets me know what he had done. I like the service but I don’t like the price going up as it has in the last year or so. I started at 139 and it’s now up to 172. It's ridiculous.

As a customer for years and with termite, mosquito and pest control, I’d called about mice and the response was dismal. First, pest control includes mice but when the rodent control guy shows up he says they can lay a few traps but you need to seal the home which is a couple of thousand. I then signed up for that but the mice were coming in from under the home and the ‘salesman’ said they needed access to the crawl space to seal that up and they would also seal the roof area because roof rats were prevalent in San Antonio. The contractor coming to do the work called and said they would not go into the crawl space and were focused on the roof (no signs of activity on second floor). I cancelled because the ‘salesman’ then backpedaled and said he never meant to say they’d seal under the house where we know the mice were entering.
I then called to ask for info on cancelling so I could use another pest control company and was told I was in a new contract that bound me until next year so I asked for the contract since I didn’t recall seeing a contract and I’d been with them longer than the start of the contract. I then received a text that said my service was cancelled. I called again and said I did not ask to cancel. I was told that the local manager would call. After a few more calls, I was told corporate would call since they could see no one was calling me over several days. No one ever called. I received a copy of the contract free several calls and there was so much info wrong (600 more sq feet on footage of home, wrong type of foundation, etc). One rep told me the amount I paid was based on sq footage of the home, another said they didn’t use sq footage of the home. Ultimately, they always say my questions will be resolved in my call back which never happens.
I was billed again for service today and received NO service (historically I am charged after the quarterly service) so I called again. The first rep said they would transfer my call to a manager but then hung up. The second rep just said they needed to read the notes on my account and cut me off. The third rep listened and was trying to find a way forward which I appreciate but I’m not hopeful her proposed way ahead will help if the locals don’t even call me back. It involves another person coming to the home which is at least a response.
The fact that no one calls after repeated calls over a period of about three weeks is ridiculous. I question whether they actually plan on just charging me without service and claiming I cancelled their service. So what was initially a call for info resulted in escalated concerns that they refuse to deliver any services and questionable practices that violate consumer rights. I also do not recommend mosquito control which we did cancel because they cannot service early enough or late enough to make a difference.

We have a mouse infestation, which we've been dealing with since May. Terminix came out and they said it would be four to five weeks till we see a difference and at week eight, I was still having quite a bit of mouse poop in my kitchen so I called. One of the frustrating points with Terminix is I cannot stand that when I call the customer line, I get somebody that's not even here. I talked to four customer service representatives and they were all down south. I have yet to be able to speak to the manager or district manager of my group. I called them to see what was going on and told them that they really needed to come out to take a look at stuff. It took me a couple of days till somebody finally got back to me. Then, they just scheduled the appointment without even talking to me. I got an appointment for the middle of the day on a Wednesday.
The other frustrating thing is everything that they've done, they did when we were not home so we're not able to watch or ask questions. The first time that they did the service, I felt very comfortable. The guy that was the head foreman was in touch with me and he seemed very knowledgeable and really nice. But then when my husband and I got home, we saw certain things that we thought were supposed to be taken care of that were not. I called back and asked some questions. The foreman ended up coming out himself a couple of days later and he said he had fixed all that but he still missed a hole in the garage.
The mice were getting in and out of this corner at our chimney which is in our garage. Terminix came out and they closed that. But we were watching where the mice were running and it was underneath a shelf. We moved the shelf and the mice just created a new hole. We started looking around our garage and they created a whole another hole on the opposite end of the garage. I called Terminix again and told them something was not right here. We put traps out in the morning before we left for work and when I came home that night, there were 10 mice stuck on those traps.
We were very unhappy. I know this isn't something that's gonna be fixed overnight, but it felt like we were paying for a service that is gonna continue happening, but will never really be fixed. This is $12,500 worth of work that we paid for because that's how much these mice have destroyed our home. Now, I'm still on the hook for all of that and it feels like it's never-ending.

We had some issues with a little worm-looking thing in the other house. I tried everything I could to get rid of them but I couldn't. I called Terminix and they got rid of it so I stayed with them. I put both my homes under the termite protection plan and at the home I'm in now, I also have the general pest. They do a good job and specifically, the guy that comes to this house is very thorough. He always lets me know when he's coming and when he leaves. He's a good guy to work with. But the cost seems to be going up pretty quick. I'll keep the termite because of the insurance, but I'll have to drop the general pest if the cost keeps going up.

Someone left a flyer on my door that was a really good deal that I wanted to take advantage of. That person also left his business card but he never ever, ever answered the phone. So it took me about four weeks to finally be able to get someone. I called Terminix directly and they said that the promotion that he was offering was no longer available. I told them, “Okay, well, I've been reaching out. If it expired, it should have been acknowledged.” But I still needed the service because I moved into a new construction I’m renting and I've seen an abundance of spiders. I have a toddler, so I don't want her to get bit. There has been a decrease in spiders since Terminix started, but I'm still seeing them.
In the past, before I had any pest control, I would just order things off the internet and do it myself once or twice a year, and it would be very effective. But now, I don't have time. I have a lot going on. So I let the professionals handle it. But I am not seeing results that are as good as my efforts. But the Terminix technician is always great, very professional, and communicates well. My technician always shows up on time. Also, the price is affordable. This is the third time that they've come out since I moved here in April. But I'm not sure if I'm going to keep the service because I'm still seeing pests.

For the last one we had, it was not as effective as others have been. I had asked for an extra treatment, but I don't know if it ever happened. We've done it least once where in between services, it's been bad. They've come back and done it. That's a good feature. The tech will text before she comes. That's always good. I asked not to have them ring the doorbell because we have a dog who likes to bark. But she did. I came out the back door to talk to her about that. She said she just wanted to make sure that we were ready. But every time I've met them in person, they've been very courteous and professional.

The last guy who came did a wonderful job. Normally, I see a lot of insects. After the visit, so far, I have not seen any. I see a lot of dead cockroaches. Without telling him anything, he did everything. I was happy with him. When I have a problem and call Terminix, somebody will come and redo it. I spend a lot of money for termites and I got a lot of job done through Terminix. They put about 15 plastic containers but I don't know how often do they come and check it. I thought they would come frequently but they didn't. But when I called, they came.

I had a bad experience with Terminix. First they promised me that the fumigation was going to be for 72 hours and took 5 days before I come back to the house. I spent more than $600 in hotels waiting for them. Besides that they stole a full bag with medications, a bluetooth speaker and some other things. I had to miss 2 days at my job and after 1 month later calling them trying to find a relief from them now they gave me $181.00 in credit. They said that it's nothing they can do about it. Not recommended to nobody. Make sure to remove everything from your home before you hire them... GOOD LUCK.

I noticed a pest issue and I had worked with another company but I was dissatisfied with their service. So I called around, and the Terminix customer service representative that I spoke to didn't leave a bad taste in my mouth. When the technician came out, he had really good customer service too. He answered my questions. If I called and asked him a specific question, he was able to answer it or point me to where I get my question answered if he couldn't. The service has been going fine.

I have experienced the most disappointing, frustrating, inept, unprofessional, pathetic customer service from Terminix that now I refer to them as TermiNOT because they will NOT follow up, they will NOT return phone calls, they will NOT respond to texts. Twice I've had scheduled appointments and twice they have been a "no show". To be stood up once is 1 time too many but twice is totally unacceptable/unbelievable!! I work FT and both times I've had to make arrangements to be home for these phantom appointments where no one came or even had the courtesy to call to let me know that perhaps something had come up & they weren't going to be able to make it. I feel like I should have been compensated for the time that I've taken off work but of course that hasn't happened. The most I received was $30 off a pest control retreatment that someone finally showed up to take care of days later.
I have received absolutely NOTHING for the second "no show" not even a return phone call from the manager that assisted me w/the first no show. I texted and called him among others who refuse to practice what they preach. There's even been 1 customer service/sales rep that has sent out multiple blast emails to several managers in hopes that at least 1 of them would get back in touch w/ me and to this day no one has reached out. Have they all conspired to ignore me? I'm surprised, shocked and extremely disappointed that a supposedly reputable company treats their potential customers like this.
If I had ever thought about being a permanent long-time customer of Terminix those thoughts are clearly out of the window. I am still trying to get someone to come out and do a retreat of some previous services as well as do a follow up on an exclusion service that I had done at the tune of $1,400. I guess I haven't spent enough money with them to receive quality customer service. My plan is to go on every review site that I can and post a negative review so that people will think twice before calling them to provide services.

After years of excellent service, everything changed. A terrific guy had been coming to care for our home/property for years. 5 star work! He then told us the company had changed its standards and the new protocol and quantity of jobs and time slots allotted for each job make it 100% impossible for anyone to actually physically DO the jobs required per day. He said lying would be the only way to meet the requirements, so he'd already quit. He wanted us to be forewarned that our service was certainly about to change.
3 months ago a tech said they came to our home at 6:30 in the morning AND DID THE JOB. My husband was notified, and said to the person he reached on the phone, surely this is a joke. We were home, and up, and have a BIG dog who goes crazy when even the mailman comes, and absolutely NO ONE came to our home at 6:30 AM. Someone came and took a picture of our house perhaps, but no services were performed whatsoever. After much complaint, the company would not back us, and they charged us anyway.
Today's appointment was for 2-4. I sat on MY FRONT PORCH from 1:45 until 5:00. I called the company and said the gal came and did the job at 2pm. I said that is a flat out LIE. I never left the porch, and the front door has even been propped fully open since 1:30. When I made the appt. last week I have a detailed description of what was needed, full property, and all 4 levels of interior house. I even reminded them that we had been scammed last time, and so were now 6 MONTHS behind in actual service. And here I sit. The woman on the phone today couldn't reach a single manager or any live human. She left voice mails and emails for people. I am disgusted beyond belief. Central NJ folks, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. This has been a nightmare.

Terminix’s services have been good. Our pest management has been timely and helpful in dealing with pests that we got to deal with. We had termite services. We haven’t had any termite issues that we know of since we implemented it through Terminix. So, it's been very helpful. We still get some bugs that creep in the house, but then they come and take care of that.

We were with Terminix for 25 years when we were in Natchitoches. We had the same technician there for years and he was outstanding. Then, we moved here in September. We've been here for eight months and in that time, we've had a number of different technicians. Also, I called them on a Friday because caterpillars were invading the house and they said they couldn't get here till Tuesday. That was a little bit disappointing. In Natchitoches, I would have called the tech directly since I had his phone number and he would've been out there in 15 minutes.
But the technicians we've had here have been very competent and professional. We had a problem with squirrels getting in the attic. They came out and checked all the access points and saw where they were getting in and took care of that. They also told me what to look for in the future and gave me a place where I can get other chemicals that aren't in Terminix's pharmacy to knock them back. When anybody gives me advice against their own economic self-interest, it's the fairest thing I can rely upon. That's one of the reasons we stayed with Terminix. I appreciate that kind of professionalism.

I had Terminix at a rental property and they would respond to my requests. I didn't have any interaction with the techs, but they would come to the house and walk around. They sealed the spikes with whatever it was they used and sent me a text saying, “Yeah, we are out. We’re done.” Everything looked good. I've had no trouble with them, but I since sold the property, so I didn't really need Terminix anymore on that one and I called to request that they cancel the service.

Terminix's customer service was good before. The biggest difference that comes to mind is the text communication. I'm easily able to communicate with the person who was treating my house for scheduling, questions, or when they were coming. Something about your automated system makes that easier to text. Communication with the technician has been good. And I credit that to the technician. William, the guy who services my house, is very on the ball.
There is one frustrating part. Some headquarters office scheduled for the tech and told the tech where to go, like what region he would be servicing, what area, etc. on certain days. And they give him very little notice, which means he gives me very little notice. And he would text me and say, "Hey, I just found out I'm coming your way tomorrow." And that's just not enough notice. It's hard for me to change on a day's notice and make sure I'm there to take care of things. And it's not his doing. I've told him before, "That's not enough notice for me. Can you reschedule?" And he would have to contact whoever does the scheduling. But, again, they wouldn't tell him until a day or two before he was supposed to be here. That will be helpful to get more notice from them.
Other than that, it will be the middle of the month or a couple of weeks after a treatment and I'll see an unusual bug. I'll have a question or maybe something that needs treated, and I'll take a picture of the bug or just text him the question mid-month, even though it's not time for him to come out and treat the house, and he'll do everything he can to answer my question and get it taken care of.

Terminix comes out quarterly. They usually spray around the outside of the house, take down the web, and that's about it. If I ask them to go and spray in the garage, if I’m home, or in the basement, they will do that, too. They're always very polite. I’m satisfied. I would recommend them.

The techs who come out for service are good. I've had on and off termite activity but they have taken care of it. They've switched treatment plans a couple of times. But in the old days, when it was time for your annual inspection, they would call to make an appointment and remind you about it. Now they just set up random inspection appointments. They don't tell you when they are. All of a sudden, you get a message that the Terminix technician is on the way to your house. This is the third year that they've done that. I'm like, "What? I'm not there. So you can do the outside, but you can't do the inside.”

I had them do a termite check and I didn't have any. But I had them install pods around the house for protection and that's $89 a month. They come out yearly on that. Also, they encapsulated my crawlspace and put in the dehumidifier. But it's not working. I've called them three times to check things and they haven't been very efficient doing it. Every one of the contractors who have come out has been very nice. I like Terminix and their products. But I can't get anybody to call me back and tell me, "Okay, we'll be here in three weeks". I can't get any service.

We have a spider problem. They come on a regular basis every three months and therefore, I don't have big problems at home. The technician is super nice. And what I like about it this lately is in the past couple of years, I always have the same technician coming. It's nice that not a new person comes every time. We had problems with termites, and I called Terminix. I wanted to get somebody out right away and they came right away. I've had good results, and everything's been fine. The techs haven't been here recently, but there's one guy that comes to spray for mosquitoes and another one that sprays around the house, checks the termite bait stations and sprays and cleans around the soffits to make sure there are no bees starting to build homes. If my friends had problems, I'd suggest they call Terminix.

I've been with the company for 35 years. I get an inspection once a year, and in the entire time that I've been with them, I've had one suspicious incident. A few years ago, I thought I had a termite swarm in the yard, and they came and re-treated the area in the back. It was a pretty good response, but the technician wasn't very nice. I should have known that it was not termites though. Most of the techs have been pretty nice. Unfortunately, Terminix is doing what a lot of other companies are doing. When you have a service call, they try to show you another product and while it may suit a lot of other folks, it didn't suit me.
One other thing that has been a thorn is that, over the last few years at least, they make the appointment somewhere else. It's not made by the local Terminix guy or by me. Nobody even consults me. I just get a Terminix guy that shows up and says, "Well, you were scheduled." I say, "Well, I don't know who scheduled me." There was a time or two when I've held a line and just said, "I don't have time for this right now," just to make them come back. That's not good customer relations. Whoever makes the appointment should at least call and say, "Does next Monday or next month suit you?"

Our experience with Terminix has been a good one. We've been longtime customers and we've not had any major issues. If there's anything that I think warrants their attention, they address it. We've had different people over the years, but in general, they've done a good job for us and were receptive to whatever kind of input we have. We had ants, and the rep came over to provide treatment in the house. He explained what he was doing after I asked him a few questions. He was putting in something that we had not seen before in the past during the season. It was different from what we expected the last several years, but he was able to explain how that was different. Our interaction was good. Still, Terminix should let the consumer know exactly what the house is being treated with. We know what it does, but it'd be helpful to know what kind of chemicals are being used. It's the exact same treatment, but one technician will tell you that it's okay to go down in the basement after the treatment, and another one will say, "Please do not go down there for the next half hour or hour."
The scheduling and the billing are quarterly, so I can easily cancel or reschedule. That's helpful to have, to be able to manage online or call in-person. They're also really great about calling to let people know that they're on their way, which I appreciate as well since I'm rarely home. However, the cost is a little pricey and I'm gonna stop because it worked up until recently. In the past, when they came in, we didn't see ants afterwards until the next installment. Whereas this year, we've seen ants in-between the different treatments. We've had to call them back and apply additional treatments.

We had some insects coming in, and our neighbor across the street had one of Terminix's technicians who comes over four times a year. We talked to our neighbor, and they said that they don't have that issue anymore. We decided to try it, and it was easy to set up an appointment. We've had one treatment so far and it's good. The tech was very professional, friendly and I didn't have any issues. It's early, but I would definitely recommend Terminix to somebody else.

Terminix came around and routinely filled the termite containers around the outside of the house. We've had squirrels in the attic and mice in the basement. Terminix has been understaffed. So they've, had some trouble responding to our calls. I called several people and we finally got somebody out there. He went in a couple of times and put some metal across and screwed it down. It took three times to do it and he got it finished. He seemed polite and went about his work right.

Most of the services I’ve received from Terminix, the technician would come by and apply a treatment to the outside of the home. They would use a brush, or broom, or apparatus to brush away any type of spiderwebs, or anything else that looks like critters could be in that particular area. The communication I've had with Terminix is for the service technician to spray the outside of the home if I am not there. And because I have cameras around my house, I see them when they show up, as they perform their service, and when they leave. I’ve been satisfied thus far. Recently, I let someone stay at my home. After a while, I came back and found out that they were not taking care of my house. I had to get the person out of my house and fumigate it. After two treatments, there were no more pests.

Corporate-wise, there are little challenges there. For example, it took us six months to get somebody to come out and do the termite inspection, and start our procedure for making sure we won't ever have termites. But once we got an actual Terminix guy there, he did anything I needed and helped me out in any way, shape, or form. The team is very knowledgeable and willing to do whatever you need.

We had Terminix do a service for us on our previous house. They installed some termite hotels and we were happy with how that all turned out. We got them again for our new house and so far, they've done a good job. We'd get an email that tells me when the tech is coming. We live in a gated community and he’s got the code. But he gives us a call about the time he gets to the gate or when he’s getting close. We also get an alert that he's going to be there soon.

I'm into a program that sends the techs out about four times a year. So far, Terminix has been very accommodating and they've been out three times. I had a little trouble with the first tech but I called up Terminix and told them what the challenge was. They said not to worry about it, they'd have somebody out here right away, and there wouldn't be any charge for it. Since the service, I've got good results on my lawn.

Terminix has done a good job over the years. Their price is reasonable and they have been responsive when we have needed them. One of the technicians that comes out calls a few days ahead, tells me I'm on the schedule and asks if it's alright if they come out. The technicians do an adequate job. We also have the exclusion policy, and on this last visit, the termite guy found a couple spots and had the exclusion technicians come out and fix them a couple days later. He went above and beyond just looking for the termites.

I've had very positive experiences with Terminix and my serviceman, Robert, is excellent. I'm not a fan of those big cockroaches that run in the summer, so I pay for the service once a month to make sure that if they did get in under my door, they're dying. I always request Robert and when he's on vacation or unable to come, I've always had techs who were respectful. They listened and they did their jobs. I've been with Terminix for a long time and I have recommended them to two others.

I contacted Terminix for servicing for ants. I have to call every time, and I have to wait for them to call me back to make an appointment. I wish they would just let me do a virtual appointment instead of having to call them every time. Also, the technicians are great, except for some things they want, like visible proof before they treat anything. But they have definitely helped the problems with the bugs. I would recommend them, especially if people have severe issues with termites. They're one of the best regarding termite service, or if the home hasn’t been treated in a long time and people are moving in. They have better quality product.

When the guy came, he was very nice, and checked all the bait boxes, and got some replaced. He also put in a couple of extras that should have been there in the first place. We were satisfied with what he did. When Terminix first put up the bait boxes, the rats almost completely went away and then, we started seeing them not too long again. But whenever Terminix was here doing the termites, they put some more bait and everything in them for us. We were always happy with them.

February 18/2022 I paid $3201.00 for Formosa and subterranean termite tenting extermination. Two months later 4/22/22 my repair man found live Formosan termites continuing to damage my home. Terminix was notified, The house needs to be re- tented for the inadequate service rendered in February. I spent every several days calling about the tenting service with no response about scheduling.
5/9/22 I found live Formosan termites in my bedroom And bathroom and extensive termite damage to my Soffits where they continue to feed on my home. I was told the tenting process could Not have been properly applied. I was told my house would be re tented. I have been calling and leaving messages everyday to get scheduled for the tenting service. No one is calling me about a tenting Appointment. All I am told is that the managers know about it and will Call you tomorrow, It never Happens. Empty promises - not responding. I have been waiting for tenting appointment since 4/22/22. Very poor company.

Had my first visit with Terminix after moving into a new house and they set mouse traps on 5/17, it is now 6/8 and the smell of dead mice is all over my house. I called customer service about bees and ants (put tickets in). No call no show!!! Oh and when the Manager from Levittown called me, he hung up on me after I told him I wanted to cancel my membership. Lovely customer Service!! After calling and wanting to cancel my contract, they told me I would have to pay $1370.16 after paying them up front of $1900. This early term fee is above and beyond what I paid. Advice... Don't pay up front and don't sign a contract (OH BTW, I never got a copy of my contract). This is a scam! I threw out the dead mice myself, removed the beehive from one of my interior doors and sprayed for ants because I can get NO SERVICE FOR $1900!!!!

We love our Terminix guy. His name is Darnell and we usually request him. I don't like that we get assigned random technicians then we have to call and request the one we prefer. Maybe we're a little bit spoiled by Darnell but when you're talking about your home and people being around and you've got animals, it is nice to have somebody that you have a relationship with instead of just random people every month.
He has been with Terminix for a long time and it's rare for technicians to stay with a company, so, that's telling. We've had a couple of other technicians, who were fine, but Darnell goes above and beyond to make sure that we're taken care of. There's the typical maintenance on the perimeter of the house and he would come and make sure that that would be taken care of. Then he would check in with us on our next application if he needs to come back in and re-treat anything. This house is an old house and there were tenants in the basement who created some of the pest issues with ants, spiders, and roaches. When we moved in, it was a mess. But since we used Terminix, it's been great. We have a couple of spiders, which is totally normal, then we have ants specifically in the spring. And that's about it. Whatever they do, it prevents the issues.

We signed a contract with Terminix for termites and pests in general. Most of their techs are friendly but I would not use them again after our contract runs out. They came out two weeks ago to spray because we got ants on the outside and I don't know if they really sprayed. Aside from that, when we first got ahold of them, they talked my husband into something that involved a ridiculous amount of money. They came over and they were supposed to have put in a sump pump underneath the house. At the time, we were remodeling and we had other people working at the house. Somebody let us know that there was no sump pump down there and there was just a bucket.
I called Terminix and they claimed that it was a miscommunication. They said that the guy used that as a temporary fix and was going to come back. We ended up getting it taken care of but I did not like how that transpired because if that other construction worker didn't let us know, I don't think they would have come back to fix it. Also, Terminix claims that they can't treat for spiders and that they can only kill spiders through direct contact. But at my daughter's house where they use another service, they don't have spiders and they got treated for spiders. I'm assuming that if you get treated for insects and stuff the spiders would eat, you would not get spiders.

Terminix came to spray for bees. The guy that came was also supposed to check all the traps outside and inside for mice. He’s not good with that. He told me the inside was fine. There was no reason to touch anything. In the last two years, no one has been in my house to look at my traps inside my house. Also, I just got a letter the other day saying that I need to renew for 100 and some odd dollars before the end of June so that come August, I'm all ready to go again. I don't know what I'm paying for why I'm paying a renewal fee, because I have to pay them every time they come and spray. I'm thinking about cancelling Terminix.

I was a little frustrated during the first 48 hours because I started to see bugs. Then I started seeing the big palmetto bugs after Terminix came out to spray. But everything was well since the service. I am gonna request the gentleman to come back out next time. He was a very people person. He really represented the company well. I'm very happy with Terminix at this point. I got an email from Terminix the day after the guy came out. It was an email soliciting my business with a $50 activation code. So I was kinda disappointed. I reached out to them and they didn't even offer me anything as a new customer. So I called and they still credited me the $50. I was very happy.

They're great with our routine service. They show up on time and they do what we want them to do. They put out food for mice and rats and they tell us if there's been mice and rat activity so we know. It's in a container so dogs don't get to it. So they're great. The guys are friendly and helpful. I had a little outside termite deal and the guy told me how to take care of it myself. So it's good customer service.

The people that come out have been nice. They call us and ask us when we are available. I've had numerous people that come out here in the past, and some were a little bit more thorough than others. The overall is on the plus side as far as how effective they are. They treat any fire ant mounds around the house. They're always willing to explain what they're doing. Earlier this year, I purchased some gutter guards along with some of the services from Terminix. They were installed correctly. But I called them back out and they supposedly repaired it and checked for any blockages. I noticed yesterday during the downpour that one section of my gutter, the water was not flowing in the gutter. It was coming over the edge of the gutter like a waterfall. So I called to place a service call yesterday. But they said they couldn't give me an appointment. I called the salesman and he asked me to text him all the details and he would send it right to the service management. But it's now 1:30 Eastern Time now and I still have not heard anything. This water that's coming down off of my gutter is pouring down right next to the foundation on my house. If I could give them zero, I would.

I have pest exclusion for 2 different properties. Scheduling visits is an absolute nightmare. Each time, it takes between 3 and 5 calls to get something scheduled. I ask that they call me or connect me with the person making the appointment so we can coordinate times. Each time, they pick a time without consulting me and each time it does not work for me. I call to reschedule and each time the field guy shows up anyway. I feel bad for the field team because they all tell me the schedulers do that to them every day.
The most recent session was today. The "account specialist" did not know how the service plan worked and talked over me every time I tried to speak. I eventually told her I will call back to talk to someone else and had to hang up with her still telling me I was wrong. I am already 2 calls deep into this disaster and I am sure it will continue. Will not be continuing the service once the pre-paid time is done. And will recommend against using this company.

The rep was very helpful and informative. She stayed with us through the whole experience and I was very pleased with her. Terminix is doing our pest control on a bi-monthly basis. We're doing really well. We had extensive damage to our house from the termites though and they repaired all of it and did an excellent job. Yesterday afternoon, we had a young man come out to check the bait traps and it was very pleasant and professional. He was very polite. I haven't had a problem with any of the staff. They do a good job. Particularly, I would tell the regular that we have that I've seen some ants outside and he would take care of it. In the past, they've always been good experiences or interactions with the technicians. The thing that prompted me to give Terminix a try is a never-ending battle with ants. Initially, it seemed like the treatment took care of them. But the last week or so, they started showing back up in both bathrooms. I was told I could not call for 21 days with an issue or complaint. So I'm waiting on that 21 days. At this point, I'm very dissatisfied because I still have the ants.

Someone came to my house offering a "package deal" with neighbors. Said I didn't have to sign contract. Just 2 services. One in July then one in October. Then in April the following year said they would be out for another $129. I said no. I only had 2 sprays. So they send me a bill for $79. For BREAKING A CONTRACT! **. I called 4 times. They said having the 2 services automatically put me in a contract. Horrible Horrible customer service and not to mention the bait and switch business practices. Stay clear of these people.

I’m pretty happy with what they've been doing. Billing hasn't been a problem. But scheduling sometimes is a problem. They usually wait and call me, and tell me they're coming the day they come. They don't give me notice. I almost always have to say, “No, can’t do it. Reschedule.” But Terminix is doing what they're supposed to do. We eventually settle on a date and time, and it gets done.

When I placed the call because of the ants' activity, I had to call back because I didn’t hear from anybody. The response in that particular instance was a little slow. I pay a monthly fee of $95 and I seem to continue to get ants. So hopefully, the latest remedy will work. But my representatives have been very responsive. In general, Terminix has been pretty good.

I called and had an inspection scheduled. The inspector quoted me a cost and schedule someone to come out in a couple of days. They were here 20 min late with no heads up, looked around the house, saw dirty dishes and clutter in our front room and refused to do any work and left. Now I can't get anyone in management to call me back.

We're not exactly solid with Terminix, but we're very pleased. We love our pest control technician. His name is Buddy and he's exceptional. And as long as we have him, Terminix has our business. Two local businesses came and advertised a lower price. But we'll stick with Buddy because we're loyal to him. He's easy to work with. We had difficulties before with people not coming at the time that we requested but that's never happened with Buddy, ever. Ants are an issue to us sometimes and he comes out even if we request an additional service. There's never a time that he doesn't get us in for that. We also had an issue with an older type of structure. We noticed a rat and he came and put bait systems down. There's price issue with Terminix though.

So I've been dealing with Terminix since at least 2013 with varying customer svc. I hit peak frustration, move to another company level 2017ish. And I'm back there now. I've not had an assigned tech since Nov 2021. Whoever they can get to fill in does the service. They actually missed a month of service. I've been promised compensation &communication since 2/22. And yet I'm never contacted or informed of service date. I try working with them so I make the calls to the call center & follow it up with calls to the service managers. Here's what it's like: I called Monday to find out WHEN I'm scheduled. Was told this Saturday. Ok... explain I need certain apts serviced as well, explain what I need and since they are occupied apts I need a window of time so tenants can be prepared.
I then follow up with a call to Edgar (Valencia ca office). He confirms date and will inform Tim (service manager) and the tech as well and I'll get a call. I wait. I follow up with a call on Wed to Tim (service manager) directly leave vm. I wait. And here we are at Friday. So I call the call center & am told it's NOT scheduled for Saturday but TODAY. No tech named or phone# to follow up with. Why am I working harder to get them to service me, a service I PAY, for when they are not trying to even keep me as a customer much less service me as CONTRACTED? Btw, I use them for not only this apt building but my residence and other rental properties. But apparently, I must not generate enough business for them to care? So if you're considering Terminix, ask yourself- is this the experience you want? Because it's obvious it's the experience you WILL get.

I originally contacted Terminix for squirrel removal on 2/25/2022. They came out, did an assessment and stated their work is guaranteed for 2 yrs. I paid over 4K for there which included 132 ft of custom aluminum siding to keep the squirrels out. They placed 2 tunnels up and never did the rest of the work. I still have squirrels in my attic and the siding was never done. Don’t use them. It’s a scam with no concrete pricing and they outsource and don’t tell you that is what they are doing and keep trying to convince you of work being done that wasn’t. If the work was done? Why is it that squirrels are still getting in. I was directly sold the contract by Mathew ** out of the Springfield branch in NJ. I have reached out to him, the financing company, and the branch manager as well as the outsourced pest control company. I have squirrels eating through the Sheetrock and digging holes into my home. Do not use them.

Updated on 05/15/2022: I was told on 4/26 my account was closed but I am still being charged! Horrible dysfunctional customer service. I also do not even see any termites at all. Terminix takes advantage of people and makes them think they have issues they don’t have!
Original Review: I have been using this company for a few months now and have had nothing but issues. First I had them deal with my ants issue, which they were able to resolve but they kept coming back without being scheduled, and would come without even calling me. Then the ants came back. And honestly they didn't do a great job at dealing with my mosquito problem.
Then I made the worse decision and called them for my mice problem. Then they said I had to close up my holes and wanted to charge over $2k for this. But they phrased it in a way that was very confusing. So I promptly called and canceled this service before the 3 days were up. HOWEVER, they also for some reason added termites to a separate agreement, because the agent decided that this house was "prone" to termites which doesn't even seem to be true. Then before I could even get a chance to cancel this they came the very next day.
So now I tried to cancel and they said they would charge me the remaining balance due which was not even explained to me. I had to call 4 times to even get to a manager who told me since I signed some contract they can't waive the balance "due" despite me never even wanting this service to begin with! I see the contract but it also says I could cancel in 3 days which I did with the mice but they came the very next day again without notice. Total predatory business practices. Once I can cancel this service without it costing me too much financially I will be doing so and never dealing with Terminix again.

Terminix comes every three months to do the outside and the inside. On the day before they come, they will call me and say they're coming. Then I'll tell them what time they can come because sometimes I'm at school substituting. So they would have to come after school. They're good. Since I've had Terminix, I have not seen anything.

I've seen Terminix come in and actually spray something and do stuff. I was in amazement. I switched to them and I haven't seen a termite since they've been coming. The only thing is their scheduling is different. I was telling their guy he was not using the correct phone number to text me. techs came and I sent them away because no one contacted me and I have a little dog. On the whole, that’s not a big deal to me. Terminix is a good service. As a matter of fact, I referred my neighbor across the street and they use Terminix now.

I had a inspection for bed bugs. Wasn’t satisfied because even a week later I’m still getting bites. The guy was only here for 20 mins before saying he didn’t see anything and told me to just keep cleaning and if I see anything to send him the picture so basically he was saying he wasn’t gonna treat until he could possibly identify the pest which I know is bed bugs. I am not happy at all and have reached out to make a complaint and the manager was supposed to be in contact to tell me what’s the next step because I honestly don’t know what to do.

I recently had and still have a squirrel in my attic and hired Terminix, over other services, because of their brand and name, to come and fix the issue, which included exclusion, removing the squirrels, and sucking out the insulation to sanitize the attic. The first time they came out they sealed all the entrances to the house for the exclusion service, however they did not leave an outlet for the squirrels to leave. They also did not for a week. They went crazy in the attic and I called 3 different times before they took a week to come out to put a one way door on the house which was huge and maybe one squirrel left.
Because of the lack of communication and scheduling the next week another crew, from another company, showed up early without letting me know and spent the day trying to get the job done, but couldn't because of delays. It also was raining so they moved the machine to the carport and the house got filled with carbon monoxide. They couldn't finish the job the first day, but did suck up one squirrel and said there was another one up there.
I then called because I wanted to get the insulation blown in and they came back on a Friday later that week to finish the job and blow in the insulation. They were two bags short and again left more trash in my driveway. They still have not come back to finish it and haven't finished sanitizing the attic. I finally got them to come out this week to just put glue traps to catch a squirrel. They do not care and do not take accountability to do the job. Don't choose them.

We have been using Terminix for pest control. In their recent annual inspection, they found some rodent entry points with chew marks. They also found some droppings in our attic & connected storage/attic area. They suggested a service to close those entry points and clean/disinfect the attic/storage including removal of insulation material and installing a new one. After some conversation, we were convinced to do this two-stage process.
First part was ok, the crew was professional, and friendly. But the second and the pricey part (~4K) was a complete dissatisfaction for us. The crew was not aware of what we agreed with the sales-person/inspector. We talked several times with the inspector (who sold the package) and he said we will be in charge. But during the installation and disinfection part, he said he didn’t promise several items such as removing the boxes (likely contaminated with rodent activity per their initial observation) from the storage, disinfecting inside, cleaning and making these areas safe. All were discussed in detail and agreed on which motivated us to sign the contract and hire them.
He came per our request during the installation, but he was completely a different person after the sale. He said he can help carrying boxes but need to go to the next appointment, so we have just a couple of minutes. On top of all these, the crew was unprofessional both workwise and communication-wise. When I saw the dust (insulation material) all over the pathway to attic, including our game room, his response was “This is what it is man!”. Really! Per our initial conversation their first task was to create a containment unit from the attic door to the outside of our home. This would allow them to seal their work from any environmental influence (common practices). Not happened, both during the insulation removal and installation.
After paying 5K now we have a bigger mess to clean after them, disrespectful attitude, and -5K from our bank account (not yet though, we will for sure fight for this). We were not able to reach out to a supervisor after calling multiple times and leaving a voice message. We are really disappointed with their service. Don’t waste your hard-earned dollars with this company. They might be good at spraying your yard, but attic cleaning/disinfection + rodent control or anything which requires detailed project management is not their profession per our experience. Done with Terminix.

The technicians were all pretty nice and good. Earlier on, we had some people we knew all the time, but now they kind of switched up. But it's been pretty good. Several years ago, we had really bad ants. Terminix had to come out once a week and they were really good. It was terrible. But they took care of them. I like that since COVID, they will leave a note outside and they'll call you and tell you they're coming. We haven't had any bugs in the house in a long time, so they just come outside and spray for the mosquitoes and other bugs.

The first time they came, they did good. They were supposed to come back for a re-inspection and to spray the second month, but nobody showed up. The tech canceled on me twice. They took money out this month but I haven't seen or heard from anybody. Right now, I'm a little disappointed in Terminix. Their follow-up is lacking.

Terminix was already servicing the house when I bought it years back. They have good service and they always scheduled easily. They reach out to me and send me a text message saying they're coming the next day or two, maybe up to a week prior to that. Techs just came by to do the quarterly spray. They walk around the outside perimeter. It’s been a positive experience. the pest activity has been slow and maybe there's one bug once a month. I’d recommend Terminix.

Terminix had a special going so I went with them and have been with them for four years now. I recently contacted them for dry wood and also subterranean services. Customer service has been okay. I liked the technician but he needed to come back to find all of the subterranean steaks. for some reason, he hasn't been rescheduled to do that. I'm not pleased with the follow-up on that. Other than that, the technician was fine. I also had a real issue with Terminix not honoring the original contract I had signed. I went to some legal channels and got that resolved. A benefit of having the service is they come out and spot treat when I call them. They're pretty responsive.

Last year my wife contacted Terminix regarding termite control at our recently acquired residence. An examination found there were no termites, however the salesman convinced my wife to sign a year long contract for pest control. When I learned the cost was twice what we paid at our Tennessee home, we cancelled the contract. But the bills kept coming, and when we contacted the firm, the representative said, "I'm sorry....I'm sorry", but the bills kept coming and we were threatened with a collection agency if we did not pay the monthly charge.
In an effort to retain our good credit rating we paid off our contract, and ordered Terminix to never again enter our property. I also have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. While I understand Terminix provides a good service, its charges are exorbitant, and similar services are available at a much lower rate. When a firm is asked to cancel a service, it should do so, not continue to harass the customer.

Terminix can be pricier than other ones. But I had them from my previous home and been with them at this home for the time we've been here. They have done their duty. I only have them now for termite inspection. But they've been very good. The guy that does it is not far from me. He worked with me on time. And I have a very cantankerous dog. He worked it out real good. We have had termites in the past and that's one of the reasons why I stuck with Terminix because should we ever want to sell our home, we need the letter. But based on the experience, I've been very pleased with them.

Terminix's products are thorough. Terminix comes out quarterly. And they extract the webs around my house. They spray all the areas outside. They ask if they need to be inside, if there's any activity of sorts with insects inside the house, and if they should come in or not. I rarely see any insects. I would recommend Terminix.

I started having a few spiders. I read all about it. You can’t kill spiders with insecticide. It said the best way to get rid of them is get rid of their food source. So, that’s why I got Terminix to come and spray all the bugs. I’ve used them for quite a while and they seem to be doing a good job of getting rid of my bugs in the house and on the land. So, I’m happy with them. The tech will just email or text us, ask if it’s all right. And I say yeah or no. And if it’s no, they would get back with me some time in the future. I have the same guy most of the time. He’s good.

Terminix was one of the first ones to get back to me about scheduling an appointment. We had a termite infestation that needed to be gotten under control and the last person who came out was super helpful. He was very thorough, communicative and professional. I would highly recommend Terminix. What I like about them is not having termites. Fortunately, everything was caught before there was any sort of structural damage.

The rep texts me and tells me he's coming to see if there are any problems. He knocks it out and lets me know that they did it. They'd taken care of everything and it's been a positive experience with Terminix. You can’t kill every bug in the neighborhood, but they keep them out of the house. I also like how Terminix texts me. I know what's going on, but I don't have to wade through all the paperwork.

I've used Terminix for over 20 years and their service has always been good for me. They come every three months and usually, it's the same tech. The quality of service is excellent. Talking to the technicians, they're always polite. If I tell them I got a problem with something like ants, they come in. They recheck it if I have to have it done. Sometimes you get mice coming in because we live in upstate New York and they come in and put the traps down. Everything works good for me. They do their job.

Terminix was the only one who could come out quickly when we had a problem with bugs. The person who comes out for the roaches has been wonderful. When he came out, we were under siege between roaches and rodents. We were having issues we've never had before. But he was very non-judgmental and informative, telling us the things that would help. You couldn't ask for anybody be better.
Scheduling with them has been very workable. The salesperson that you talk with talks a really good game though. They say all kinds of really wonderful things and say things that they do that they don't. For the rodent part of the service, I'm very not happy with. It took a long time before anyone contacted us about that and they never showed up. We've still not had rodent service. They gave me good information and we've been trying to do everything we can and tried to find as many access points as we can and close them off. But there are things we don't know how to close. Our house has built-in ventilation and unfortunately, it was bricked apparently as an afterthought, which created its own issue. We can't get to the crawlspace and in one of the vent piping, you can see sunshine. You know it's not quite closed and that's where we could hear them get in.
We were also told that the stuff that they were spraying for the roaches would also do spiders. I have seen an abatement, but we still had to do a lot of spiders on our own. But on the roaches, it's been amazing. When we let our guy know that we were still seeing problems in certain areas, he was careful to concentrate on that.
