Recently had two-story house tented for fumigation. In less than 48 hours job was supposedly completed and we were back home. That same day noticed 3 fish still alive in aquarium. Following day while attempting to put away spices in pantry there were 2 BLACK WIDOW SPIDERS ALIVE. Then I went out to my garage to do load of laundry and cockroach alive in garage. Not only did I have to book 2 rooms, I have pets. So hard to find decent hotel. Very upset with Terminix.

I called customer service to request follow up pest treatment after having ants in kitchen and bathroom 10 days after quarterly treatment, and was told the earliest date available was 8 days out. When I requested something sooner, I was transferred to the "escalation dept." where I listened to annoying music 15 minutes before being cut off. The next call was another long wait. The agent put me on hold to try contacting the scheduling dept. which she wasn't able to reach. She said she would email them, and someone would get back to me. Still waiting...

I called Terminix on Friday, May 22nd to reschedule an appointment for wildlife (pigeon) control. ** said there was an appointment scheduled for the NEXT MORNING between 10-12. What?! I has meetings that morning, so I set up a courtesy key, informed the concierge, found an alternate location, set up an away message for Terminix granting verbal permission to enter my apartment in case they couldn't reach me. Came back at 3:30 pm. No one had come by, and no one called. Nothing. The status of my wildlife problem is unchanged, and I'm out $250 for the last-minute location change.

This is the 2nd time a technician has simply not shown up for an appointment, and the 1st an operator has informed me that an appointment had been scheduled WITHOUT TELLING ME. The initial inspection (March 2015) was professional, so I stuck with Terminix hoping the 1st bad tech was an anomaly. Unfortunately, unprofessional behavior seems to be the norm in the Largo, MD office. Back to Square 1.

I called Terminix at 877-837-6464 and spoke to ** for an inspection and then service. ** was very polite and scheduled a time for the next day. Close to the time of the appointment I called to see why have they not called me yet as agreed 20 minutes before they got to the premises. I spoke to ** and after looking and finding my information told me that the appointment set by ** was not authorized by whomever management was supposed to authorize it, and therefore I found out that nobody was scheduled to come by. When I asked her why in the world no one contacted me to let me know and reschedule instead of wasting my and my tenant's time, she then apologized and continued to help me schedule another time.

** was very professional and helpful. Called different managers to see to re-schedule me right away. She was able, she said, to contact ** whom was going to call me back to re-schedule. It is now two days later and never received a call back from no one to re-schedule. I had to find a new company to do the job. I had to deal with my tenant being upset and I am very upset that a company as large as Terminix could be so unprofessional. Will never call them again.

I have been a Terminix customer for almost 20 years. A few months ago, my service man offered a new service from a company they had acquired that dealt with wildlife. Two guys came to my house to do the inspection and told me that there was evidence of recent squirrel activity in my attic and that it would cost $1500. They said I had to pay up front which should have made me suspicious. I gave them a check. Two different guys came to do the work and said that they could not find any evidence of squirrels. I cancelled the check. The original guy told me that they would have to come back to undo the work they had done. I said I did not want them back in my house. I have since had a third party confirm that there were no squirrels. They have been attempting to collect the $1500 plus additional charges.

    Updated review: Feb. 8, 2016

Within a week of placing my review, I received a phone call from the Terminix management team and action was scheduled to resolve my frustrations in addressing our termite issues. Tent fumigation was scheduled for the first week of 2016, the property was surveyed and prepped accordingly, and fumigation was successfully completed as scheduled.

    Original Review: May 21, 2015

I've been a Terminix customer for drywood & subterranean termite protection since purchasing our vacation home in 2007. During this time, I have had ongoing repeated spot treatments in attempts to control obvious termite activity. However, the activity has been increasing in scope throughout the house to the point of serious concern for damage. The service technicians (who have been responsive and professional in their service) recommend tenting and fumigation to stop the termite spread.

Consequently, I have urgently & repeatedly requested tent fumigation with Terminix to kill the active termites, but to no avail. I have received zero response from my local office in Largo FL to my requests for fumigation. Phone calls from the Largo office management as promised by the Customer Call Center are never received. It is impossible to schedule fumigation evaluation with them directly with the local office. Frustration and anger describe my experience with Terminix and the Largo office management over this matter.

Very disappointed with Terminix for this service. We have used them for pest & termite control for 15 years and have nothing but praise for service and execution. Not the case here. Bottom line, what was promised by the sales rep and what was actually executed by the team wrt removal was flat out not true. Was told that insulation would be removed via a pipe from attic to exterior and sucked up via a powerful vacuum - so no dust or debris would be in house. We inquired 3x - once in person, once on phone and once when team arrived as to what we should cover with tarps, remove from rooms, etc and were told to cover bed and lay down tarp under attic entry so ladder would not leave a mark. That's it. We would able to sleep in both rooms with attic entry that night and there was no need to board the dog.

Well, the team while nice and polite, clearly did not understand what was promised. They did not wear booties and tracked dirt all over the house. They ripped insulation out by hand and put in garbage bags which they carried out of the house, leaving debris and dust all over the house and outside including in the pool and garden. The smell was terrible and there was no way we could sleep in either room that night. We called our sales person who while concerned was not in position to resolve conflict, the local office whose calls were transferred to the national office who was also not in position to do anything other than track down local service manager to call us the next day prior to the team returning for the install. We took pictures and sent to the manager. Also decided to board the dog so he would not be exposed to the clean up debris and dust.

Local service manager agreed to have her escalations team, supposedly professional cleaners, come and resolve, but they were clearly not cleaners as they wanted to use Clorox wipes on piano, picture frames and sports collectibles! Everything was streaked and still dirty. They did not have a real vacuum so they used the hose to "clean" carpet. Furthermore, they grumbled the entire time as this was clearly not a scheduled stop and made it clear they wanted to leave. Every time they said they had cleaned the room, I would go in and be able to write on the bookshelves, blinds, other furniture thru the dust/film that remained. We finally just let them go, negotiated a $200 discount, and thought we were done. Well, that money and then some went to the Emergency Vet as later that night, our dog got a piece of flying fiberglass in his eye, scratching his cornea. So much for a clean process and the clean up the escalations team did!

No one seemed to be in charge/responsible for our account - not the sales rep, the on-site team, escalations team, the national office and the local service manager clearly had expectations of what was being done in the field which was a disconnect from actual performance. I can only hope that the new insulation was put in properly... I guess we will find out when they come back for an inspection in 2-3 weeks, but the removal process was a complete disaster! Had we been told that a mess would be created, we would have cleared the rooms, but we were told on several occasions that this would be a "clean" process with no dust or debris. Flat out not true!

Initially called for bed bug treatment. I wasn't home when the inspector showed up so he dealt with my roomate. My roommate never signed any paperwork and they took his credit card for the initial charge of $290. Total treatment ran $1500.00. THEY STOLE PROPERTY from our home, cops were called, an investigation was conducted on only one of the 4-5 guys that entered the home when we were told to leave the premises for a total of 4 hours. After many calls and 1 week of waiting for a call from a manager, they finally agreed to credit the account the value of the stolen property. Then we received a bill for $290 saying it was never charged to the credit card (which it wasn't). 3 treatments later, bed covers were never given and the bedbugs are worst. Customer service is awful, rude and I would suggest go to Orkin, or Truly Nolan...or anyone else.

I signed a contract with Terminix to have my crawl space encapsulated. I was told it would take about 3 days. They worked on it for 3 to 4 hrs for about 3 days then disappeared. I called to see why nobody has returned to finish the job and was told a tech would call me and set up a time to come to my home to finish the job. I waited for 3 days and heard nothing. I called again and was told a tech would be at my home this week between the hours of 3 and 5pm. Nobody called and nobody showed up. I am very unhappy with their service! Very unprofessional and very expensive! It has been over a month trying to get this done. I called to speak with a manager and I was on hold twice for over 20 mins.

When my 85 year old Father had a bee problem, I recommended the Terminix (Pittsburgh, North Hills Office) to come help and that he get a yearly agreement with them so no new pest problems would occur. In 12/13, they billed Dad for all of 2014, $361.88. He paid the bill - they received the check on 1/4/14. Terminix then continued to bill him quarterly, for the next 6 months, $95.23 per quarter, at list price, even though they had received pmt for entire year already, they kept billing him. My Dad kept paying as his health was failing and he did not want to miss bills, he could still write checks. No one called my Dad to confirm, they just kept billing him and taking the money. We found out recently, that they credited the 2 quarterly payments at list price, till July 1, 2014, then globbed on the yearly payment of $361.88 they got in January 2014, which took my Dad paid in full through July 1, 2015!!!

Taking advantage of the elderly and double billing them is one issue I have. Dad passed away on July 26th, 2014. Mom had advanced stage Alzheimer's, could not stay in the house so we had to move her to my sisters in Ohio and prepare to sell their house of 52 years in Pittsburgh. We were there for a few months during his illness and passing, then to help get the house ready for sale which had to be done as quickly as we could since we do not live there. I called the Terminix Pittsburgh office, along with other vendors that serviced his house to inform them of my Father's death, that we were putting the house on the market shortly and in Terminix's case, that we would like them to come pick up the mouse traps that were in the house (they had not caught one in ages) and that we needed to cancel our contract at the end of the month, Sept 2014.

I elaborated in that we did not want Terminix trucks near the property while we were trying to sell it and that we would no longer require their services as there were no pest problems and we were heading into winter. I spoke with a woman at their office, middle aged who scheduled the appt to pick up the traps that week and was to cancel our contract. We knew that there was a refund due us however did not realize how much of a refund we had due, once we discovered that they had double billed my Father for 1.5 years into the future. The service man came, nice guy, treated my Dad well over the years, I even put a recommendation into Terminix on him about a year ago. I told him not to take the cancellation personally. He said he wouldn't, gave us his condolences, picked up all the mouse traps and left.

Understand none of us live at my parents' house so we could not govern contractors that showed up without our authorization. We expected Terminix to honor our requests. We got it ready for market - we accepted a contract prior to the end of Sept. 2014 - it sold in 1.5 weeks. With focus now on my Mom, whose health was failing, we did not take notice that no refund came from Terminix. Mom passed away on 1/1/15. In January, I saw an email come in from Terminix saying they had serviced the house. What?! We closed on the house in Dec. 2014 and there was a new family living there now - sold sign out front for 60 days prior - vacant during this time - how can this be? I called the Pittsburgh office and spoke to this same lady. I told her that we had cancelled our agreement and should get any refund due us from Oct 1, 2014 on (Note we did not realize the double billing at this juncture).

She looked up my Dad's record and said that no one marked it cancelled. Then she said under her breath, wait, here it is. Someone put the note in the wrong place. So not our fault. She said that they would research and call me back to let me know what refund we had coming. NO call ever back. I then called again in a few weeks and spoke with the Office Manager, he was a male, I reviewed my situation in that we had cancelled our contract due to my Father's death and having to sell the property. He says "what, you are cancelling?" From that moment on he became defensive and mean. He accused me of lying to him about the Sept phone call, he said he saw the mouse trap request but no cancellation request. I explained to him that this was their mistake, repeated the woman's comment about someone putting this note in the wrong place, he did not believe me and took no responsibility for the mistake.

He looked up my Dad's record and said that they would refund $95.23. What we know now is my Father had paid through July 1, 2015. This $95.23 amount only covers 90 days at list price. He did not mention that this amount would have applied if we cancelled on March 31, 2015, since my Dad had paid through 7/1/2015 because of their double billing him. Then he insisted on making the check out in my Dad's name. I informed him that it needed to be made out to my sister **. Who is the executor as all my Dad's accounts were closed? He argued with me. Since when is a Terminix office manager and expert estate lawyer? Note that this is now 6 months after my Father's death, all his accounts rolled in to my Mom's name so no estate account had to be set up. None of Dad's bank accounts were left live by this point. I told him he was wrong and that I would check with ** and call him back.

She did confirm she could not deposit a check in Dad's name. I called the Pittsburgh Terminix office back within the week. Spoke to ** this time. He assured me he would fix this and change the name on the check to **'s. I confirmed her address, spelling of her name. He said he would take of it, not to worry. Then nothing. A month later the check arrives with my Dad's name on it, sure enough. They did nothing they promised us they would do. So I called back, spoke to ** this time. She consults with her office manager and said I had to mail her back the original check, once she could destroy it, she would rewrite it in **'s name. Fine, So I mailed the check back with a letter to her confirming our conversation that very day I put it in the mail box.

Two weeks later she calls me and says that I have to send her a copy of my Father's death certificate now before she can write the check to **. What? You can't Google his name where a 1000 obituaries will come up on him? He was a Doctorate of Musicology at the University of Pittsburgh and a semi-celebrity. There was plenty of proof out there he died. I was forced to send Terminix such a sensitive document that has highly confidential information about my Father, his social security #, how he died, who his relatives are, etc. etc. Really!!! You have to be kidding me. This office was clearly making it as difficult as possible for us to reclaim our refund. If was clear to me they were hoping I would just say forget it. After I discussed with her my utter dismay at this request, I did scan and send her an email with the death certificate attached a few minutes after we hung up.

I outlined my dismay in this email and ordered her to destroy it after she got the proof that she needed that my Dad was truly, dead. Death certificates are reserved for the utmost sensitive accounts a person has - banking, medicare, SS office, certainly not for Terminix and a stinking $95.23 refund. But I did what they asked me to do. I mailed the check back, I sent the death certificate, I even emailed ** 2 weeks later asking for a status. No return reply. Note I have all the emails and documentation for all these interactions. Then a month went by, no check in the mail. Another month went by. They absolutely dropped the ball - they did nothing they promised to do. We on the other hand had done everything they asked of us. So now I turn to escalation mode with corporate Terminix. I get put on hold for over 30 minutes and end up getting forwarded to ** a billing specialist in the resolution dept located in Florida.

He seems as if he wants to help so I did some research with him. I found my Dad's Terminix folder and through new focus on his account, confirmed with **, that Terminix actually double billed him in 2014. He paid the full year, they received his check on 1/14/14, and they kept billing him for the next 6 months at list price. Shame on them. This is where I discovered that if you terminate Dad's contract on October 1, 2014 like we asked them to, they actually owe us $268.65 in a refund. So after one hour of explaining the horrific way this Pittsburgh office has treated me and my family, he offered to step in and call them to work this out. He promised me a call back by the end of the week. He did send me an email confirming our discussion - a week went by, no call back. I replied to his email 4/28/15 asking for a status. No reply.

Two weeks later, I sent him an email again on 5/5/15, now outlining my customer experience in detail, in writing and reminding him of his commitment to help resolve the situation. No reply, no call back. Now I call corporate again to escalate as not even their billing and resolution department is following up with me. On 5/8/15, I speak to **, once again highlighting my customer experience in great detail. She then informed me that to escalate, she had to call the Regional Manager of the Pittsburgh branch, ** and that I would have a call back from him by Tuesday, 5/12/15. So now, it is 5/19/15 and I have gotten no return call back from anyone.

They have lied about the note in their system to cancel, they have lied about their commitment to resolve this issue, they had accused me of lying to them about the initial phone call, they continued to service a house that was clearly sold, sitting vacant, and even with another family moving in at Christmas time, servicing it even into January 2015 on our payments, and have refused to refund moneys we honestly believe we are owed. We even recommended them to the new buyers and they now have an agreement - so they are billing them too, over and above what my Dad ended up by default paying them into 7/1/15. They have treated us like dirt through this customer experience, at every turn hoping that if they make it as difficult as they possibly can for us to get the refund that we will just give up.

I am just starting my social media blitz of this customer experience as I do not want others to have to go through what we have gone through, pay a full year in advance, to get their just due refund due to a tragic life event - death, and the forced sale of a house - they took advantage of my elderly Father by double billing him even though he had already paid for the year. I signed a contract for over $4k to perform a one time liquid treatment and a future tenting on my 1200 sq ft vacation house. The liquid treatment was supposed to involve shooting 170 vertical holes into the ground 6 feet deep and injecting poison down to this 6 foot depth to create an underground protective curtain around the foundation. It was also supposed to involve drilling holes through the concrete block and injecting poison horizontally up under the center of foundation to kill an existing termite colony that had come up through a crack in the foundation in the center of the house. A detailed map/plan of this work was drawn up by the salesman.

I wanted to witness this work, so I drove 6 hours to my vacation house. When the service tech showed up and walked around the house and said he should be done in an hour. I questioned how was he possibly going to do all this work in an hour. He then explained that all he was going to do was dig a 6 inch trench around the perimeter of the house and dump 80 gallons of poison in it. When I showed him the detailed plan that the salesman put in my contract, the tech said that in his 25 years with Terminix that he'd never done that and that he didn't have the ability to do that and that he always just digs a trench and pours in poison at the surface only.

So, I called the salesman and the general manager, cancelled the contract, and sent the technician away without performing any work. The next day, my credit card was charged not only for the Liquid Treatment, but also for Tenting of the house and a 4 year service agreement?? The contract clearly states that credit card will not be charged until services rendered. No work was ever done and even the future work that was cancelled was charged to my credit card. It took me 3 hours on the phone speaking to 5 different people to try and get the charges reversed because nobody knew how to back out credit card charges.

As of this writing, 2 days later, the charges are still on my credit card and have not been reversed. I feel that Terminix just tried to rob a 75 year old person. If I had not driven 6 hours to witness the work, I would have thought all the work I was paying for was actually done per the plan, when in reality it would not have been. Buyer Beware!!! Do not trust Terminix to do what they say. They will be ripping you off.

I am pleased with the actual service (actually would give 5 stars for keeping the pests out of my house). I rate customer service a 2. The reason for this is that they schedule my service randomly and notify me by email that they will come on a certain day. Most of the time I will not be home and they can only do the outside service. I have called on several occasions to get the date changed to a time when I will be home. They tell me they change it and then they come on the day the computer arranged instead.

I have had them put a note on my account that I only want service on Friday's. The computer obviously does not see the note and keeps scheduling when it wants to. We used to have an excellent technician, **, who knew my house and schedule. He serviced us for about 20 years before they put him on a different route. Every time I have asked for a manager or supervisor I am good they have to be the ones to let them know I want to talk to them and wait on them to call me back and they never do! The one time I did get a "supervisor's" number he was a horrible person with a severe attitude. The last time I had a problem which was last week when I called back to see why he didn't show up I was informed that he did. We were home all day long and he never showed up. Even if he had he didn't leave a door hanger! Then I have to wait 2 weeks on them to come back!

Customer service reps are extremely rude. They cut you off in the middle of sentences, put you on hold without asking, transfer you without notice, not listen to what you say. And they assume that they know what you want when you tell them they don't know what you want, they get rude and say "well I read the notes on your account" even if you're calling on a completely different reason! When the tech finally showed up today he pretty much called me a liar to my face! Told me he read the notes on my account. And that he did come out the day he was supposed to and that no one answered the door. And he left a handwritten note on my back door. (He didn't.) Then he proceeded to tell me what was and was not in my driveway that day. When I told him he was wrong he called me a liar and said "I promise you it was." How do I not know what's in my own driveway?!? WORST SERVICE EVER!!!

I recently call Terminix to come out for a carpenter ant problem on my back porch. They came out after missing two scheduled appointments and treated for the ants. I then discover what appeared to be signs of termites. A sales representative came out and confirmed I had termites and needed to tent the home. I agreed to pay and tent the home. The tenting was scheduled and I was told all the things I needed to do to prep the home. I was told they have a local guy they work with that would be able to prep for the tenting and put things back the way it was after the treatment. I agreed to hire him. I did not receive a call on the day of the scheduled service, and made several calls to confirm the appointment. I have two pets and was leaving for two days. I also took steps to hire a security company to stay outside during the tenting so my home would not be robbed.

So upon my return home the next day, I was told they broke the satellite dish off the house and broke the facial board on the roof. After paying someone they recommend to remove pickets off the fence, trim hedges around the house, remove mulch, rocks, etc. they broke my self closing gates tenting the fence in the open position. Killed the landscaping and grass. Not taking the time to tent around anything I had paid to prep. When they came to pick up their lock box the rep told me he heard what happened. His response was "** happens", and left. I felt like they got their money and don't care about their customers or their property. After spending $1,341 for the treatments, and $250 to prep the home. We are in process of listing our home for sale and discover a very small hole in our hardwood floors the size of a dime at most. We called our builder to investigate the problem and he found severe termite damage in the corner of our home. The damage goes from the foundation of our house all the way up to the attic and roof. We called Terminix and they conclude the damage is from water damage and not termites. We called another company who specializes in termite control and they too say the damage is from termites.

Terminix has so far at this point declined to repair our home. We have had to resort to legal services in an attempt to get our home repaired so that it can be listed for sale. Our home is on a crawl space and the location of the damage is in a very tight corner which I believe was not inspected for many years as the insulation was even down due to the severe damage. I am very disappointed as I always found them to be helpful and thought our home was protected. The fact that they have refused to do any repairs at all is very, very disheartening.

The employee with whom I spoke on the phone said it would be no problem at all and also said that the rest of the house would be treated as well just to be sure there would be no problem.

Long story short: The technician never went and treated the area under the house - where the problem was. I called (repeatedly) to explain the issue and was promised, on numerous occasions, that I would get a call back. No calls ever came. When I called and asked for a refund, I was told that the branch manager would call me in 24-48 hours to discuss it. That never happened. I was also told that I could not have the branch manager's work number or work email address (which I'd asked for knowing that I wasn't going to hear from anyone).

When I called back yet again, I learned that my request for a refund had been denied. The representative (maybe the sixth or seventh with whom I'd spoken) tried (to her credit) to get the branch manager on the phone. He was unavailable. Then, she tried to get the regional manager on the phone. He was also unavailable. This is, by far, the worst service that I have ever received. He was in hurry and signed in rush giving the conception that its $80 per year (whereas HomeTeam is $240), so it was no brainer for me to make that call.

The first few concerns I had with Terminix was that I received multiple statements with my first and last name screwed up differently on different statements. And sometimes even the street address is different; I guess postman somehow delivering looking at my name. I sent email on 09/16 for which I don't have response until today.

I paid my first bill for $80 presuming yearly payment. Lately, when I got my second bill for $80 I spoke to my neighbors. At least few of them canceled and got the bill waived. One of my friends who lives on same street ** was with same conception and paid only $20 and disconnected the service. So far, I spoke to Terminix (incoming) around 20-25 times and every time I mentioned my concerns, but I find the customer service hard to understand both ways. And worst thing is that I get call but no one responds and sometimes it's hard to understand their English. However, there was one time I spoke to lady where I clear explained for half hour or so and I mentioned about the weird statements I get and the call drop-offs. And she took it up carefully and mentioned that second bill for $80 will be waived, however for first bill she can't give refund unless she gets approval. I was supposed to get call back which I didnt until date from that person.

The last I made is on 04/28, that's when I see notice from collection which took me on surprise despite several calls with Terminix. Today, I spoke to **. None of them were service managers and weren't in favor. The worst part is that the notes didn't capture the information I spoke to the lady last time where the fee is waived. However, they said ** (service manager) declined, not sure where he came from as I doubt he heard me and my concerns. Having said that, at the end of the call I clearly got consent from ** that I can go ahead to seek attorney and post the facts on social websites.

In the end, I ignored the credit of $40 (whereas my neighbor paid only $20). And now, if I am still being insisted to pay another $80, I am not ready for it. I would rather seek my other channels despite all pain I had with Terminix. If you are looking at only my opinion, then please feel free to look into details of customers withdrawn from Terminix.

My concern is the amount and types of toxic chemicals being used, damage to nature that these harmful chemicals cause, harmful to humans, bad for the soil, water, air. The bugs you try to control, you very well may control, while killing everything else. Recent chemicals ban in most places and supposedly heavily regulated in the U.S. and its territories, were used in the American Virgin islands by your company TERMINIX and caused severe illness and future problems. Not knowing what companies are using and trusting them to do the right thing is questionable at best. Not sure if I will be using any of your services in the future.

My wife and I have been very pleased with the service we receive from Terminix. Lately though (meaning the last few years), our communication hasn't been as good as in the past. We no longer get periodic calls from our representative just to see how we're doing. Now we get electronic generated calls on scheduling and we need to call back if we are have a problem (The human touch is gone). This was a pretty severe winter this year in New England and our scheduled service was canceled due to snow. We're suppose to get a call back to reschedule, but as usual I will probably have to call myself to remind you to reschedule; I have had to do this in the past. We have also received another increase in our service this year, it seems each year we get increase. It feels like we have no choice but to accept the increase because we have had the service and insurance for so long.

We feel we can't object to the service and say no to the increase because we will lose our benefit. My wife and I are now both retired and living on a fixed income and in the town of Somerset. With the increase in taxes and other increases and now being on a fixed income, it is a little harder to meet all the expenses that come with owning a house, even a small increase of $6.00. Don't get me wrong, we have been bug free since we started with Terminix and my wife really appreciates that. It just seems that the world is moving so fast lately, the human interaction with service provider is going by the wayside and be replaced with electronic generated services. Ok, I have unloaded enough and want to thank you again for the service you provide to our household.

In fact, I am likely to cancel all 3 contracts that I have with Terminix because of such an ineffective and unprofessional phone setup. Yesterday they had an appointment scheduled for the outside of the house. It was a no show but lo and behold I received a bill for done services the next morning. Thing is, no one came. With three persons and three barking dogs inside the house you would think we would have heard the doorbell. We did not because no one ever came.

I called Terminix and was told that indeed someone was here since she had a report. I answered that I have been customer with Terminix for many years and that I know that said report usually hangs on my doorknob in case I was not here. This time I did not get one and that was because no one came. I rescheduled for next week but I am very upset that I spent the time at home waiting for a no show that has the audacity to bill me $119 for no services at all.

Terminix then calls me THREE times prior to my appointment to confirm. So what happens? The technician shows up the day BEFORE when I'm not there. Not only that, he only checked 6 of the 18 bait stations I have. I called to complain because this happened before, and said I'm tired of this poor service and it's not cheap either. I want him to come back and re-check ALL the stations since I'm paying for it. They refused so I canceled my service. They ripped me off by not providing a service we agreed to. We signed an agreement with Terminix for their termite treatment program in April 2013. We paid $1470.00 as well as $299.00 for a prepaid renewal for the second year. With tax, total paid in advance for service was $1914.94. Upon receiving a bill for renewal in March of this year, I called Terminix. Neither my husband or I were aware of any follow-up service since the initial installation. I was told it was an annual plan and they had conducted an inspection on April 7, 2014. I stated that we had no record of this visit. I was told that I could view it online. They also offered a free inspection that they scheduled for 3/16/15.

On 3/16, no one showed but they did show on 3/17. Prior to arrival the technician called and only because I was near the phone and saw it was Terminix, did I answer it and advise someone was home. I have learned that Terminix does not leave messages and since we screen our calls they have no chance of reaching us. At the conclusion of the "free inspection" 20 of the 22 stations were inspected based on the on-line report. The report did not indicate any termites were found and the technician verbally informed me there was no termite activity. He showed me one of the baits and indicated all looked full and undisturbed.

When I later went out to view the report, I looked for the report of the alleged 4/7/14 inspection. I found a report of an inspection dated 4/7/14 for service between 9:54 AM and 10:16 AM. It indicated 4 stations were inspected and that we were unavailable. Both of us work and would not have been home at that time. Our gates are locked and there would be no access to the backyard and half of the side yards. There were more than 4 stations accessible but even so, they were not checked. No information was left for us to even know they had been there. No appointment had been made with us nor would have been since Terminix does not leave messages.

On 4/3/15, I called Terminix again and stated I was very unhappy with the service and we had not received what we had paid for. We had received a renewal notice when clearly we had not received the service we prepaid for. The representative looked up the report and acknowledged that the 2014 inspection was not done. She advised the 2015 was scheduled on April 8. Once again, we were unaware of this "scheduled" appointment. Even though we had just had a "free inspection" she urged me to keep the one on 4/8 and I agreed.

I asked to speak to a manager but neither the supervisor, **, or the manager ** were available. She assured me she would have one of them call me but I have heard from no one. On April 8, the technician of record for the 2014 inspection, arrived to do the 2nd inspection in less than a month. His report indicates he inspected all 22 stations. Station 17 is marked as having termite activity which he communicated to me when he was here. The inspection done on 3/17 also indicated station 17 was checked and there is no indication on the report there was termite activity which is consistent with what that technician told me. I feel we are being played.

I question the integrity of an organization that sets appointments without the 2nd party, will not leave messages, fails to provide the service for which they have been paid, and clearly there is something very wrong when 2 technicians find different results in a 3 week time span. Our contract is up for renewal but the fee is too high for the lack of service we are receiving. Contractually we are required to allow them to remove the termite bait if we don't pay them. Since we installed it due to termite activity and there is a question about there still being termite activity, we are hostage to their poor practices, questionable integrity, and the apparent cowardice of their management team to speak customers with complaints.

So I had termites and purchased service thru Terminix around 5 years ago. I paid the initial thousands of dollars to have them treat and take care of my issue. The Salesman, Inspector decided to use the liquid treatment on my property... I pay my yearly renewal few to keep the warranty/guarantee up to date which I find out recently that I’m not 100% protected/covered like the Salesman/Customer Service told me I would be initially. Great to tell me something different 5 years later... I’m assuming I get told that over and over again so they can get that initial huge amount of money and renewal fee each year.

So all the sudden instead of renewing your yearly protection over the phone, an inspector has to come out to "check" your property. Lo and behold I'm told we don't use the liquid system anymore, doesn't work as well as the bait system and I believe some other reasons. So they want me to pay around $1500 to update my property to the bait system now? I'm sorry but it's not my fault your salesman and inspector chose the liquid system.

I called in yesterday to express my concerns and the customer service didn't help so he sent me to someone higher up and he was called a Liaison? He was not helpful at all and kept suggesting having an inspector come back out to the property for I guess go over the same thing? I said that would be a waste of time for everyone and more importantly the customer service is just terrible anymore with Terminix.

How about helping the customer out? I know that seems strange with a customer service department. Why don't you update my system since I already spent thousands of dollars on a system you don't use anymore and say it doesn't work well? Really if this doesn't get taken care of I’ll explore other ways so myself and others aren't taken/treated like this anymore.

I'm not sure if they are actually even spraying anything at this point! It sure can't be poison to kill ticks! This has been the longest 2 weeks waiting for them to come back! We have had ticks all over us! My children can't play outside, we can't even relax in our house at this point without a little blood sucker crawling on us!

Terminix has been here every single month getting paid, but I have bugs that are sucking our blood! We work hard for our money in this home. I have spent hundreds of dollars hoping this would be taken care of! If someone sprays this much you would think I wouldn't be infested! I do have to say the employees are really nice, and talking with them makes you feel like the job is done. But, this is a nightmare! SAVE YOUR MONEY. DON'T HAVE TERMINIX COME SPRAY YOUR HOME WITH WATER! THERE'S NO WAY IT'S POISON KILLING ANY BUGS! As I wrote this a tick actually crawled across my phone!

The driver decided to go around a parked car instead of backing out the way she had arrived. She and her trainee spun parallel to my drive that length of about 80 + feet, 40 + feet left in ruts, 1/2 of that severe enough to hold water still 19 days afterward. The bad part is they were advised. I saw them and asked them to fix or have fixed. She went back and took pictures and said she'd entered it in the logs with the company. Today I hadn't still heard anything. When I called today, the national or regional office couldn't see anything in record and said they'd check into the problem and see about a fix. Really? When? My COMPLAINT WITH TERMINIX. On or about Friday 20 February 2015 I contacted Terminix to rid my home of rodents. The lady that to talked to set up an appointment for 23 February on which an inspector from Terminix named ** did show up at my residence (a motor home) at **. ** inspected my home and suggested setting poison blocks, a one-time treatment for rats and mice, the contract also included coverage for Roaches, House crickets, Millipedes, Earwigs, Rats (interior only), Centipedes, Solitary Wasps, House ants (excluding Carpenter, Pharaoh and fire ants), Silverfish. The cost for this treatment was $250.00 plus tax totaling $265.00. I agreed to this treatment and paid for it with a debit card. At this time ** informed me that someone would phone me sometime that day to set up an appointment for the treatment.

Wednesday 25 February approximately noon I contacted Terminix 717 796 1710 and talked to a lady who informed me that whenever this number is dialed someone from Terminix either in Texas or Tennessee answers. She then set up an appointment for an exterminator and a inspector to come out to my residence on Saturday 28 February to do the job between 1:30 and 3:30. Afterwards ** calls me and apologizes for any inconvenience and said that that lady who I talked to did not know what she was talking about. He then explained that he already did the in home inspection (which I explained to that lady at Terminix) and all is needed is for a technician to treat my home accordingly.

** also informed me that Saturday was not a good day and that Monday 2 March between 1:30 and 3:30 the tech would be out to set the poison blocks. I told ** that I had a Chiropractor appointment that morning at 10 AM, however I should be home in plenty of time before 1:30 PM. Monday 2 March I returned from my morning appointment at 11:30 AM. At 3:37 PM no one from Terminix called or showed up. So I called ** and got his voice mail. The voice mail greeting announced that I received the mail box for ** and that he was unavailable. I left a message informing that no one has shown as of yet nor called me.

Monday 2 March 5:10 PM still no reply from ** so I phoned ** again and this time I get a mail box greeting stating that got the mail box of ** and the mail box was full. I double checked the phone number that I dialed. I did not dial the number incorrectly, so I hung up and called Terminix (getting a voice message that the hold time would be approximately 10 minutes). I was on hold for over 25 minutes. I believe that I was more than patient long enough with Terminix and their incompetent personnel so I hung up and contacted my bank and requested a refund of $250.00 plus the sales tax as charged by ** from Terminix (a total of $265.00). In All Truth and Honesty.

Earlier in the year, we had an ant problem in our home. After contacting Terminix via their 1800 number, I spoke with a customer service representative who seemed very friendly and sympathetic to our problem. She "sold" me their quarterly service plan ($160) every three months, which was also supposed to provide guaranteed protection from any termite infestation or damage in the future. The field technician came promptly within a day and treated our home for the ant problem. As the ants returned, I attempted to call Terminix back to report the issue. I never received a call back, but the field tech showed up (without prior call or scheduling an appointment) after a few days. Luckily I was home and able to let him in. He once again treated our home for the ants and that seemed to take care of the problem.

We have not heard or seen from anyone at Terminix since. Until last Tuesday. I received an automated call "confirming" an appointment I never scheduled nor anyone every contacted me about for the following Friday. I confirmed the appointment and a field tech showed up after the time stated in the automated announcement. As I was no longer home, the field tech sprayed the outside of our home and my adult son, who was home at the time expected the tech to come inside. However, he just left after spraying the outside of the house. For this, my credit card was charged $254... not at all within the price range I was quoted when I signed up for the service. And not at all with the services promised at the time of sign-up. SO... buyer beware as Terminix appears to be a company that makes their money on up-selling services to new customers and then dropping the ball when it comes to actual customer service and service delivery. Shame on you Terminix.

My account was again debited and the next payment I was making resulted in insufficient funds fee and late payment charge. If a bill was not able to be sent, I would have transferred funds to cover. I hired Terminix for $1800. They did a lousy job inspecting for termites. Other than placing about a dozen stakes around the house, they drilled a few holes to place their killing stuff. Nothing else was done and no one ever came into the house to look around. A year later they came back unscheduled to inspect the stakes and left me with a $289 bill. I was not at home at the time, but the security cameras showed the guy walking around the house for less than 5 minutes and then leaving without doing a single thing.

My complaints were unanswered for several weeks until a "manager" came. He was unimpressed and tried to explain that the stakes did not need replacing. How did they know that without looking at them? I also showed him new termite damage around a window and the entrance door frames. The guy washed it off saying that the damage was old and did not happen after they "inspected" the home during the first visit (no one ever came inside during the first visit). We went around in circles, but it became quickly apparent that their guarantee is meaningless. To this day, 24 months later, I am still waiting for my refund...I am not holding my breath. All I can say to those considering hiring Terminix -- do your homework first and hire only company that are recommended to you by friends and relatives.

Despite several calls about this, all of which went to a call center in another state, no one ever called me back to rectify the situation. It was only minor damage, so it was more of a principle issue. Nonetheless, their customer service overall has been abysmal. Stay away from them. Use a local service.

In October of 2014, I hired Terminix to get rid of the bed bugs in my home. It's now the end of March and we still have bed bugs. They guaranteed to get rid of them or they would refund my money. I paid $2,000 for them to treat my home. On their first visit the tech didn't finish because he said I wouldn't help him. I did as instructed, as far as preparation before their visit. Last time I checked, when you hire someone, they do the job. He's been late and has been a no show. The service manager I've spoken to about this has no response as far as how to resolve the problem.

This is ridiculous. If they can't do the job, I should get a refund. Bed bugs are awful. Trying to sleep when there are bugs crawling on you and biting you is impossible. They've also billed me $280. I called to find out why, and they said my balance was $0. Then I get a bill from a collection agency for the bill they said I didn't owe. I'm totally angry and want this all resolved. Bugs and the bill.

I signed up for a Terminix contract for roaches and ants by phone and they were supposed to come out on a Saturday between the hours of 10am-12pm. On the phone I told them that my cell sometimes was unreliable and gave them my home number just in case. On the morning they were going to come, I had an opportunity to go on an outing with my family but stayed behind due to the fact that I had to wait on Terminix to come. I waited... and Waited and waited. No one ever came. No one ever knocked, the doorbell didn't ring.

I checked my cell phone and sure enough there was a missed call but no one ever called the main line. I tried to call the number back but his voice mail was full so I could not leave a message. So I got on the phone and called the Terminix number and that is when I found out that my account showed that someone HAD been out to the house and it was stated on the notes that the appointment was rescheduled for a Thursday (without notifying me). I had told them when I scheduled that Saturday would be the only day I could do it cause I work.

After being transferred several times with a 10 to 15 minute hold time between each I was told that the service man put on the notes that he was there, and no one was home. They told me they would get a hold of the manager and see what was up and 30 minutes later the manager called telling me that the service man said he was at my house, that the GPS showed he was. When I asked him why he had not knocked or rang he at first said that he didn't know but later claimed that he was on the phone with him and heard him ring the doorbell.

It was a lie, my doorbell is very loud and if he HAD I would have heard it. (I rang it for the customer service person on the phone to let her hear how loud it was.) If service is THAT poor even at the initial visit I am not interested. AND to have a manager defending his employees' bad service, I don't know how they are still in business! In a way I am glad this happened reading the other bad reviews. It would have been a mistake to continue with the contract with them.

The company just laughs, oh yeah, yet one guy called me personally and told me they would use something different and he was sorry. Before I know it, there was another man who tried to act like he was throwing bed bugs at me and I would run outside (I am 67 years old), trying to blame me for the bed bugs - when they told me in the beginning the BREYLEY APARTMENTS HAVE BEEN TREATED FOR BED BUGS - and gave me units that were bed bug-infested.

I asked them to pay bills and they have rejected and make up excuses - they and the Apartments are in this together. I was told the Apartments had to pay, as they are the ones that called this in and he would make them pay as they did know ahead of time. They had the apartment next to me sprayed 3 times, wow, now I have bed bugs. My husband is terminally ill and this has affected him and his smelling forever. They both are getting by with this.

What's wrong with providing a service that is fair, competent, efficient and provides good customer service at a competitive price? I thought that was how it is supposed to be with any reputable company. Unfortunately this higher standard of business practice was not my experience with the Terminix Company in Sterling, VA! In fact, I am downright angry at this company's blatant disregard for me, my feelings about this situation, my valuable time means nothing to them and the time constraints I am under as we are in the process of refinancing our home and Terminix is the only one remaining holding us up with an inspection as we are going VA.

We are currently locked in at a very decent interest rate which we don't want to lose because we waited on Terminix and they dropped the ball on purpose and we lost our rate. Yes that makes me angry. I also suffer from PTSD. I am a disabled Veteran. We just had our annual inspection several weeks ago and all was well. We compared the information on both forms, the other being the VA Form rather than the standard form and the information contained therein is exactly the same!!! Terminix now wants to charge me upwards of $300 to come out again and do the same inspection on my townhouse they just did, nothing really different except they have their hands out once again for filling out a form.

This is nothing less than a ruse to get more money out of the customer. Why is my annual inspection not sufficient?? What does this inspection have that my annual inspection doesn't? The information required on both forms is the same! Why does it cost me $300 MORE when all you need to do is complete the correct form in this case a VA Form? I expressed my discontent about the "rip-off" fee and she told me their field guy would call me the next day to schedule an inspection date and I said fine. So we ended waiting into the third day and still no one called.

I then called Terminix again to explain the situation and get some help. I learned that each Terminix facility is free to charge what they want for these inspections and some facilities don't charge anything when you are under contract as we currently are until this April. I also found out that somebody is supposed to come out today around 4pm to do the inspect. No one called. I still cannot find out the total fee, although they did tell me I qualify for a 10% discount which at this point after having waited nearly three days for someone to call me and update me as nobody cared enough to do, 10% is a joke to me now.

I feel Terminix left me hanging in the wind because they didn't like me expressing my opinion about what I believe to be unfair charge in this case, unethical because they just did their inspection. It appears to me my annual inspection must be sub-par to the inspection they do for refinancing. I guess our annual inspection is missing something the refinancing inspections have, but what I ask?? No additional work is done!! They just charge me all this money while I am still under contract with them. What a way to treat a customer!!! No answers, no communications, inconsiderate, incompetent, unfair and just another very poor example of this company's unfair and unethical business practices seeking to take advantage of anybody they can including disabled veterans. Yes I am angry - nobody likes be on hold for three days (not literally on hold) and then bilked out of their hard earned money.

At this point I am finished with Terminix. I am so disappointed and this company makes it clear what they are after and nothing else. Don't ever drop your wallet in a Terminix facility. The customer as well as what I consider Terminix to be less than honest, opportunistic business enterprise looking to take any financial advantage it can get at the customer's expense of course.

I thought I had a wonderful experience with Terminix. My house is on the market and I moved to a different state. We needed them for a full inspection. They came out and did the work and everything went smoothly. We were on a payment plan because we could not afford the full 2100.00 at the time of service. 6 months later I paid the remaining bill in full and told them we would not need any future services since the house is on the market to be sold.

4 months pass and I don't hear anything from them. Last week I receive an automatic call from Terminix saying I have over 200.00 in a past due balance that I need to pay and to select the number to make a payment. Knowing that I do not have any past due balances I hang up and call them to speak with a representative. I asked why I was called and told about the past due balance when I do not have any services.

I was informed by the representative that this is a charge for a renewal on the contract...WHAT??? I told her I was not interested in renewing my contract and said that doesn't explain why I was called and told I had a "past due balance". I explained that a past due balance implies that I still owe on services rendered. She said no, this is how they do it and if I just ignore their calls and bills the contract will not be renewed and I have nothing to worry about. I seriously do not know how many people have fallen for this scam and I am really sorry if you did. Luckily I knew I did not owe any outstanding bills with them and followed up. They tell you what you want to hear and they never come through. I paid 1100.00 dollars and now the bugs are back and now the guarantee is over. This is crazy. They are professionals. I am re-financing my house with Quicken Loans. It is a VA Loan and they need a pest inspection form filled out. I was happy to mention that I had service with Terminix. They said I should be able to call them and they could fill out the form and send it in since I pay for pest control and termite protection, over 700$ a year. I was told a manager would call me. Later that morning I was informed that it would cost be 125$ to do the inspection that is already done quarterly anyway.

I like the guys that come out and give them no grief even though the termite traps have been buried or washed away for years, and they pop in and out quickly. I always felt like their heart was in the right place and would stand behind them. The bone I have to pick is with the corporate entities that would nickel and dime a good customer of over 15 years. I was told they could lose their license if they failed the inspection. My question is, how could they when they are already doing the inspections? Since they want to be so parsimonious with me now, I have a few bones to pick with them. I am disabled veteran and am getting backdoored by every entity in sight. I did not expect this from Terminix and they will be losing a customer. I have had it!

The attic insulation kills bugs and we got a rebate from the gas company. Everyone I have been telling about the service has had nice things to say about this attic insulation.

I do not currently live on the premises and they told me that they went on their own to the premises and I was not there and they told me that they did the service outside the house and I hired them for inside the house. Called Terminix about an issue of bedbugs in a rental unit I own and paid to have treated. They did their thing on a Friday and was to be back at the unit in 14 days... what a joke. I called the following Monday (making it 17 days after first treatment) and was told I would get a call to schedule next treatment. No call back so I called on friday and asked for my refund back. Was told it would be sent out by Tuesday of the following week and I would get a call when it was sent out... never happened. Spent the rest of the week on the phone trying to get this resolved and finally got the branch manager and told him he either need to make sure the refund was sent or bbb would be contacting them as well as my lawyer. Refund was approved but then they tried to tell me it would take 6-10 weeks. You can see the smoke rolling from miles away.

After yelling at the person telling me this and informing them that they were paid before service was done and I expected the same respect back from them, they finally sent out the check the next day... NEVER EVER USE TERMINIX UNLESS YOU WOULD LIKE TO THROW MONEY AWAY. And by the way I went with another service that was a third of the cost of Terminix and have had wonderful results.

I am reading the reviews and feel that I could have written the exact same thing regarding our termite contract with Terminix. It is astonishing how Terminix is providing such poor service and getting away with it. We also "signed" a contract with Derrick **, sales rep for the company, who has turned out to be verbally abusive when I refuse to met with him when he turns up at the house multiple times unannounced, and I cannot meet with him (do I really need to explain what other things could possibly be going on at the moment he arrives unexpectedly? school, doctors, kids, work - where do I stop?).

For the past 5 days, I have been trying to confirm technical issues in the contract to make sure the workers will perform the termite treatment as described in the contract. But a huge disconnect exists among employees, the call centers in Dallas and Tampa, and local managers will not contact me despite several calls and messages to ask for clarification, report complaints and abuse by **, and even try to reschedule should, in the end, we actually want to have the service once someone confirms the treatment. Of course, our account is already charged. I would like to cancel the contract at this point unless I know such work will be performed, when and how. I am wondering, since all of our consumer stories on this website point to a consistent misrepresentation of services, that perhaps we could organize ourselves into taking legal action against the company. Does this website provide such services or give advice on how to take action which does not cost us an arm and a leg?

I have been forewarned by a co-worker not to go through with it because she was very displeased on how they provided their services which happened to me also after I contracted their services. The initial treatment was already a disaster because the technician came in walking inside the house with his dirty shoes walking on my newly polished hardwood floor. He finally put on a shoe protector/lining after I stopped him to go up to the 2nd level of my house. The ants came back only after 3 days of the initial treatment so I called them back but they didn't make it back until after 2 weeks. They notified me via email that they will be coming for their quarterly services but I called them & told them to only come when we are home because the backyard is locked.

They scheduled on a Saturday between the hours of 12-4 pm so my husband & I stayed home & canceled any plans during those time but nobody came & nobody called to cancel. I was told that the technician called in sick for that day & they couldn't any replacement for him, ok but why was I not informed??? I disputed the 3rd quarterly services which they claimed they provided on a certain date which was impossible because we were home but nobody came & I was not inform that they were coming either. I have canceled their services thereafter but they are now pestering me for the payment of the undelivered services. They offer to come back just so I would pay but don't think they are worth even a dime if they don't really deliver what they promised!!! On 12/22/14 I had a technician from TERMINIX come to my home for a pest control issue, earwigs, coming in from the cold. Upon his arrival I had several questions, first and foremost being the effect it may have on my dog. I was told the product would dry within 30 min. I questioned him on the crawl space under the house, he tapped his hands on his chest and said, "I don't go in crawl spaces." REALLY? I was told when I made the appointment that the crawl space was where they would start. Of course, that is the source!!! He also stated he would do only the first floor. Are you kidding? These critters are multiplying like rabbits. I only noticed them two weeks ago. He asked where I had seen them upstairs, I replied, "In the Master Bath." Well, that is the only place he sprayed with the "OIL-BASED" product! THAT DOES NOT DRY IN 30 MINUTES!!!! MY DOG!!!!!!!

Mind you, Oliver stayed in his crate from 1:00 p.m. until 3:30p.m. Why didn’t he treat the entire upstairs?? At around 8:00 p.m. I looked at a windowsill he sprayed to find moisture, beads of moisture. Wiped a bit with my fingers and I find it is an OIL-BASED substance!!! DOES NOT DRY!!!!! In the morning I picked up Oliver’s dish to feed him and find the same oily substance on his bowl!!!! Now I have to ask, why did he not pick it up out of the way? Ask, "Ms. Hunter could you move the dog’s bowl?” or have the wherewithal or CONSIDERATION to do that on his own!!!

Considering his refusal to go under the crawl space (his job!) his reluctance to do the entire inside of my home, his lack of consideration (product sprayed at my pet’s bowl side, literally), I WILL NEVER HIRE ANOTHER EXTERMINATOR AGAIN!!! I will use the HOME DEFENSE Sprays inside and out and a "Raid Fogger" in the crawl space. I'm sure I'll have more satisfaction than what I've had with TERMINIX!!!!! And a BIG P.S. If ANYTHING happens to my Oliver, well, it's ON!!!

A conducive condition nullifies the contract. They will not return calls about this error, and only give an email about referring the matter to the local Termini manager. That is silly, IMO, as this character is the root of the problem. Upon further investigating about those people, I hear from local building professionals that Termini is known for being derelict in their opinions, a summation that I find to be accurate. There is more, like the manager claiming that he did not call for adequate investigation in to a previous infestation (would not open an infested wall). The more that I learn about this business of termite protection, the more I believe that they are more than incompetent, but actually willfully negligent. I hate it that there are people like this in our community, people who in my opinion are malicious.

Can't find what you don't look for!! Claimed dressers were fine but dust in dressers undisturbed.. Only smell came from sofa. They failed to keep their follow up appointment and when they did show, it was so late in afternoon I could not get sprayed. Showed up two weeks later and merely asked if I've seen live bugs. Didn't even want to look!! Bedbug specialists??? I think NOT!

I described their treatment to bed bug specialist in bedbugger.com and he was appalled and said I should fire them. I'm finding more and more bed bug casts, saw 3 bugs in two days. Termibex must feed them. Activity has INCREASED. Pulled back cover on sofa after Termibex had said wasn't necessary and right away saw what looks like 3 brown oval bugs, very much alive right where Terminex had sprayed. This last visit the guy had seen a shell there but 1. Didn't examine it and 2. Said a bug shell means it's dead which is WRONG. In that case, why does it say pay by 12/19/2014. Are Terminix in financial difficulties? People are likely to either pay early in ignorance (good for cash flow but deceitful collection) or will file this notice and forget about it in several months time (bad for cash flow). The result is deceitful or very poor management. Those responsible should be fired.

There are a myriad of others that will do the job great and follow standard procedure.

The worker who came to my house and was seemingly extremely kind and charismatic. He promised to fix any tiles that were broken on my roof. We were in complete agreement that there were no broken tiles to begin with, and we ended up with several after the fumigation. After promising to repair those tiles and waiting weeks for a reply from the worker, I get an email from the worker DENYING any conversation we had and fabricating an entire new story about the situation. He claimed to never agree to repair our broken tiles. Now we have broken tiles, several species of bugs STILL in our home, and fury inside our soul.

We called them again that night requesting a refund for a service we never actually received. I'm happy to report that they processed the refund and it was credited to my card within 3 days.

So while my horrible experience may be chalked up to a lousy technician, I probably would not use them again. We called a local service, they found a bee hive (in a totally different area of the house that Terminix sprayed, mind you) and we haven't seen a live bee yet (a few dead ones for 2 days, but they warned us of that.) If you are going to use Terminix, I would strongly suggest paying with a credit card so you can dispute any charges and the credit goes through faster than if they had to refund a check. I'm revising my star rating to two, just because the refund process went surprisingly well.

Terminix had an inspector come out to confirm if we had bats in our attic and after being here said, yes we did. So after putting down a down payment to deal with the issue of $406 they sent out some workers that informed us we didn't have any bats. So I request a refund which took a couple weeks of calling for Mark to finally have him call back and agree on refund. Then started getting calls a month later from their billing department saying I owed $406 or it's going to collections. So explained my situation and thought it was over. BUT kept receiving calls for another month going back and forth. Then got an email from Bailey ** telling me why they thought I owed - I emailed back several times explaining my side but haven't heard back - as of 2 days ago had my credit card company on 3 way explain that the money was refunded rightfully - I hope the harassment has stopped.

Made an appt, drove 3 hours to house, no one showed up. When I called to ask why, they said my appt was for the following week, unbeknownst to me. I canceled that one and made it for the following week, and informed the rep of the problems with scheduling. He said he was entering it all on my account. Then Terminix guy showed up on the canceled day. Called Customer Service, told them I don't understand what's going on. She wanted to reschedule the appt -- but they were there I said. She wanted to put note on guy's handheld device. I said "What would that do as I can't speak or email that guy. Problem is call center -- no one is local and no one communicates with one another". She hung up on me, as she didn't like that I was so upset. Well, imagine if she were forced to stay on the phone for the 6 hours it took me to drive back and forth to the house... Oh yeah, she might be upset, too. Do not use this company. Go local.

Called Terminix about 7 months ago. They promised, 'Call you tomorrow,' never got the call. Called again, same thing, no call. Went to office, 'We'll call you tomorrow.' No call. Back to the office, spoke to one of the service guys. He said office girl did not tell him. He called next Monday as promised, I was laid off from my job Friday before he called on Monday so could not afford service at that time. Found new job since, saved up money, now back to square one. They absolutely will not call after 2 attempts!

You pay for service and the service they render does not fix the problem. If the problem still exist and what they did does not work and you are given no refund then that amounts to legalized theft. Maybe I should start my own pest company and go squirt weak chemicals on ants and charge $1500 for it. The customer gets to keep their ants and I get to keep their $1500 payment and just tell them, "Too bad, take me to court if you don't like my service."

A sales person came knocking on my door in June 2014 and sold me which I though a 1 time application of pest control. On the date of service the technician said that I had a year of service which was not the case (lost my trust in Terminix first time). So, clearly I was not given the right information by the sales guy. My sole reason for service was there were ants coming in house. As it was all wet the technician said he will come later to apply outside. But when I told him that I don't want the yearly contract, he said he will do it now only. I was surprised that the application would be fine which a minute earlier was a problem. I again lost trust on Terminix.

Anyways, couple days later I see the ants again in house and told them I need the money back. They said they cannot return money but can reapply to which I didn't want them in my house again as I felt duped the first time. Anyways they gave me couple days and I didn't want those days and then I said I don't their service to which they said someone from billing department will contact me. No one did and I assumed that everything was fine. But when I didn't refund on my card. I called Terminix and they again said someone will call me and resolve the issue. When I didn't receive a call I disputed the charge with my credit card company.

Today on 10/17/2014, I received the call again saying that I was 90 days over the due date, If I don't pay they will send it to collections. The guy in collections from Atlanta (khalil) very nice guy said, this is standard procedure that he had to follow. So, I paid $95 to Khalil. I am very disappointed with the company. 1. First sales guy lied to me about what service I was going to get. 2. The technician who provided the service didn't do it right.

In all I paid $95 for the service that was non satisfactory and never resolved the problem. Don't trust what Terminix says.

My husband discovered termites in a small window frame in our laundry room. We called Terminix out, for an estimate. A man name Ryan ** came out and fast talked my husband so quickly, and had him sign what I assume was an ipod, agreement. We gave him a down payment of $682.00. They said they would be out on one day to do the service. My husband asked to see the contract before they began the service. Ryan never brought it. They finally showed up the following day, and complete the service, again with no written contract for us to look over. It took Ryan another week and a half to bring out the contract so we could look it over. After seeing what the charges were, I was in total shock on certain things. They charged us $720 to put 4 pieces of wood in our window frame. The was the only damage the termites did, as we live in a brick house!!!! After contacting Ryan with my concerns, he said that was what my husband agreed on. I have spoke with a different manager, and asked for some sort of discount on the window frame and was told he could take off 10%. WHOOPY!!!

So now after a total bill of $3905.20, I am so bitter with this company, I am beside my self. I feel that Ryan took advantage of a senior citizen, and that is a shame. I will do nothing but bad mouth this company from now on. To add just a bit more, after reading the contract over, they said that it was too hot to inspect our attic, and if they come back out it will be an additional charge.... Terminix, you are the worst company I have ever dealt with, and don't even think about asking me to refer you to anyone...

Terminix may get rid of your bugs, but they will also completely destroy your garden. If you value your garden, do not hire these tramper stamper killer of plants. It will cost hundreds of dollars to replace the destroyed plants, and hours & hours of labor. Terminix, you are terminated from us forever.

I have been a loyal Terminix customer for 10 years and have had the worst service ever these last 2 years. Not only have I taken multiple days off from work for appointments where the technician never showed up for inside treatments, they also service my neighbor's home but not mine - but charge me for the bill. I am told to reschedule and when I do, there is no service. They are very adept in harassing you for payment but not so in providing good service. The local agents are rude and unaccommodating. The ULTIMATE PROTECTION GUARANTEE doesn't exist. It's a sales gimmick for they will not provide the service NOR refund any monies paid. Since no manager has responded to numerous emails or phone calls, my next recourse is to take legal action which is so unnecessary.

Have had termite service contract for 10+ years. Have 5 termite swarms this year and they come out a squirted liquid in the wall. Some have swarmed twice. Sent Terminix letters threatening to expose their refusal to tent. They immediately sent their latest supervisor who guaranteed they would tent today Oct. 8, Wednesday 2014. I called several times to be assured they were coming. They never came after I waited from 7:00 AM to 7 PM.

I have some roaches in my house. I called Terminix and I make sure I told the guy I want one time service for 191$ after if there is no result I will call back but no he signed me up for full service. After I paid the 191$ I thought I was done because I asked for one time service. Later I check my account Terminix took another 109$ and I called them and that's when they are telling me they signed me up for full service. Every 3 months they will come and they will charge me an additional 109$ and I told them, "No I don't want it. Please give me my refund back." Until now no one called and still no refund. I need my refund back or I will file a lawsuit because I didn't ask for additional service and I shouldn't get charge for it.

All I'm asking give me my 109$ back and stay away from me. They are worst then the roaches..... I worked hard for my money and I need my money back. I'm very unhappy right now. I kept calling them, they kept telling the same thing: "We put the request. Our billing will give you a call within 24-48hours." It's been two weeks, I'm still waiting. I ask to speak directly to the person in charge, same thing repeated to me, "wait for billing". I ask to speak to the billing department but they said I have to go through them to speak to the billing department and they are already send a request to them. I'm just asking is those people think I'm stupid or what?? This is America. People worked hard for their money. I don't have patience anymore. I need my money please...

I had Terminix come out Friday, Sept 26th. to our apartment for a bed bug extermination, and the service and been outright terrible. It started on Friday, the day of our appointment. It was scheduled between 1 pm and 3 pm. The exterminator didn't arrive until 4:15 pm, a full hour and 15 minutes AFTER the two-hour time slot we were told. I also did not know they were late until I called Terminix support at about 3:30 pm that day. I also had not known our apartment had actually been treated until I mentioned it to our apartment staff at 5:30 pm! Nobody called to tell me they were late, and nobody called to say it was done.

This was immensely inconvenient, too, because we were not allowed back into the apartment for another 3 hours after I got home from work just because our exterminator ran so horribly late. Dealing with customer service hasn't been much better. Karla ** is the person I've been talking to and she's very untimely getting back to me about anything. She said she'd talk to her boss Monday (Sept 29th) about our experience and we haven't heard anything back other than offering free bed bug covers for our mattress, which does not help since I plan on buying a new mattress anyway.

It's also been a solid week since our extermination and we have not received any reports on our termination like where they found bed bugs, what needs thrown away, or anything else. I called Karla today and left yet another voice mail (my 5th one) to try to get the report. This experience has been awful and I just can't wait for the service to be completed. I just want a resolution to all these problems. Nobody gives you callbacks, nobody lets you talk to their manager... This is by far the worst "service" I've ever paid for regarding anything.

Told us to have it repaired, then submit the bill for reimbursement. We did that. Couple of million phone calls/promises later, we still don't have any hope of a reimbursement. To add insult to injury, they demand payment for the day the rep put a hole in our screen and left before finishing the job. Even more insult? Now we get emails asking us to return as customers!
