I'm generally pleased with the service Terminix provides, though I'm often frustrated by their scheduling. Online will say one date and time, which is confirmed by email reminders, but on more than one occasion the Tech has been a no show. I don't think the local office keeps up with what customers see online. I've been mostly pleased with the actual service once I receive it.

Terminix recently treated an apartment where the tenant saw a mouse. The treatment did not help at all and the problem spread to another apartment. In the original apartment not one mouse has been caught and there is evidence of more. I called to schedule another appointment to redo the treatment and they did not show up. I also called to schedule an appointment for them to check to see where the mice were entering and again they did not show up - this was two days in a row, and these were not the only times they have not shown up. Also when you call and are transferred, the call goes to limbo because they do not answer. Also on the occasions where I was told that a Manager would call me to discuss the issues, they never called. Extremely disappointment with Terminix and I will also be reporting them to the BBB.

Dean is great always goes above and beyond what is expected. Always on time and comes when suppose. Calls to let you know when he is going to arrive. Very pleased with Terminix over the many, many years I have had them. Had them do other things besides bug spraying and did it well.

Called to schedule an appointment for an inspection. We agreed on a time between 5 and 7 PM EST. Received a call from someone to confirm appointment. Could not reach phone when called but called back a few minutes later. No response, left message. Received a second call from someone 3 hours later, could not immediately pick up since I was still at work. Stepped out and called right back, no response, left second message to call me back to confirm. No one showed up at my appointment. Called Terminix customer service to advise of events. After initial contact, I was told that I would be prompted to correct Department. Left on hold for over 20 mins. without anyone coming back. Called second time. Explained situation, told that I would be transferred to someone that would help me. Left on hold for over 15 mins. before I hung up.
Called a third time. Explained myself again. Told again they would forward me to someone that would help me, this time I waited over 29 mins before I gave up. I'm a business owner that deals strictly with customer service. I would not be in business very long if I treated my customers this way. I will contact CEO Lex Knox to inform him of the current affairs of his Company's customer service.

I have been a Terminix customer for over 20 years and have never had any complaints about their service. Recently, I had a service appt. for one of their techs to show up between 3 pm and 5 pm. I called at 2:30 to see if they could tighten up their arrival estimate. They said they had no new info so just be there between 3 and 5. So I went home and waited. I gave them another call about 5 pm to see how late the tech would be and was told that the tech scheduled for my house was not at work that day. I guess the first person I spoke to did nothing to check on the status of my situation. The second person I spoke to was very apologetic and set up a service call for the next day between 3 pm and 5 pm.
So I dropped what I was doing again the next afternoon and went home to wait on a tech. When 4 pm rolled around I placed a call to Terminix to see when I could expect to see the tech. I was told that he could not be reached but to expect him shortly. I called again at 5 pm and was told that the tech still wasn't picking up, but to hold on and he should be there shortly. The dispatcher got the number of the cell phone that I was using and was otherwise helpful. I heard nothing from anyone at Terminix, waited until 7 pm and finally gave up.
To say the least, I am extremely perplexed as to how to schedule a tech in from Terminix without wasting my life waiting for one to show up. I am astonished at the complete lack of information flow back to the customer from their service department, being put on ignore 2 consecutive days. Any ideas on how to remedy this situation?

They bill me twice, or not at all. Then call to tell me I'm past due. They assign me a time for service and don't tell me about it so the technician arrives unexpectedly at an inconvenient time. They call to sell me a service I already have. They know I want my attic checked for rats every time, then leave a dead rat in a trap up there because they send someone too big to get through the access door. Etc.

I have no problems with the services that Terminix provides. They are great at pest control and ensuring that I never have problems with termites again. The thing preventing 5 stars is the fact that their scheduling SUCKS. My past 2 visits have been ON THE WRONG DAY. I changed one a few days before the scheduled visit because I wouldn't be home. They came anyway. This was for quarterly pest control. I always make sure I am at home to allow them to spray inside.
The second time, I had called the local call center to set up a date for my annual termite inspection. They came SIX DAYS before the date I had set up with the call center!!! I never received a call or email that they were coming to do the inspection! Also, the date of my quarterly pest inspection on the website usually changes. I never receive a call or email about the change. The service to customer communication is lousy. That is what makes people seek service elsewhere. Communication is key to good customer service. It is broken and needs fixed!

I called Terminix to come give me an estimate for my mobile home. I have termites. They sent out a woman named Meritza. She goes around and measures the home then sits me down and tells me the price of 1,350 with a 2 year guarantee. So I wrote the check. At this time she told me they don't cash the check until the day of tenting. So a few days go by I'm set up for tenting on the 28th of Aug. A hurricane came up during the week so I canceled on Tuesday August 25 until the storm passed then we would set up the appointment again. So on August 27th I look at my bank account and saw that Terminix had cashed my check after I told them to cancel. Now the storm is coming at me and I have no money.
Today is September 10th and I still do NOT have my money. I briefly spoke with the manager briefly and he said oh his office manager accidentally grabbed my check so they could put checks in the bank before the storm. And at that time he offered me a 2nd year free which I told him "I already have that". He said "Oh I'm in my car I can't see your account." I told him to call me in the morning before 11. That's when I start work. Nothing I heard nothing. I called Maritza and she said his offer was 75.00 off. This is an absolute insult to me. The company still has not returned me the 1,350. I'm very angry. PLEASE HELP.

The mosquito treatment is effective but we have a large area so I did not expect eradication. The roach treatment is not as effective as we would like. We need rat treatment but I am concerned about secondary transfer of poison to our cats. John, our regular service representative is fantastic. It is comforting to have someone go through your home whom you can feel totally comfortable and trusting with.

We paid up front with a check for two services with Terminix. Based on the initial meeting, wrote the checks expecting a contract faxed or mailed. Never happened but local did cashed the check with headquarters not knowing they have cashed the checks. Terminix headquarters do not communicate with their local branch. From the month of May to current, been trying to dispute billing. Been in a nightmare. Contact with a min. of three people, put you on hold for est 20 minutes, then get disconnected. To resolve, they say they will call back within 24 hrs. This happened 3x. They never call back! Headquarters will not take any responsibility. All they want to see is their bills get paid! Somebody please help from this nightmare!

Terminix has been to my house 4 times to spray for bedbugs. The first, second and fourth time they had some guy who didn't even spend 5 minutes in our house to try and rid the problem. The third time we actually had a halfway decent fellow who knew what he was doing and how to do it. When I called Terminix to see what could be done because there is still activity in my home I was told I would have to purchase another plan. Now from where I'm standing I already paid the $600 dollars for them to come in and rid my house of this problem so why do I still have it?

Inspector showed up last week and did inspection. Everything went great until he stood in my driveway and ran down the Republican party and presidential candidates for 30 minutes. I am also upset by the fact that Terminix has jacked up my annual cost of service by an average of 6.3% for the last 7 years. I am seriously considering using Orkin or a small local provider.

We had ten years contracted with Terminix over ten years and already paid over $3000 for them. They came once a year, and never found and tell us our house has any terminal problem. However, for this year, due to our payment delay two months (because forget to send out on time). The investigator said he found a terminal problem outside of my house. It is sooooo odd!? Ten year no any problem, but only two months overdue, then the terminal is showing!? As the results, we have to pay $1200 to "treat" this "problem"! Please let me know should we continually through this company or not?

I cancelled Terminix in April 2015 and then they charged me May 2015 and came out 2 weeks ago. I told them we canceled them and the tech continues to spray... I called Terminix and they said, "Why are they charging you if you cancelled in April?" and tells me my account shows that I cancelled in April and then they recancel it and said they would delete that day's bill and refund me for charging me in May and said it would be 3-5 days and it's been 11 days and I still don't have my money...

Flash takes care of the pest control for our beach house and is just so courteous. He lets us know when he'll be there, even when we are out of town. And he texts us to let us know if he notices anything (even non-pest related...like the leak in our irrigation!) Great guy! Great service!

Advance notifications are always sent via email regarding the date that services will be performed. Technicians are always courteous and helpful regarding any issues or questions that arise regarding insect issues. Inside services are available whenever needed.

After having termite service with Terminix for years, I let them talk me into insulation for my attic. They sold me on this "great rebate" that GA Power & SCANA would give me for this purchase and the fact that it would lower my heating & cooling costs. Well it's now been months since the installation. There have been no savings and SCANA says they lied to me because they are not offering any such rebate!
While GA Power says they do have a rebate, I must first get the paperwork from Terminix, but Terminix will not provide that! I have tried countless times to contact Terminix with no success. Calls are always routed to a call center and they have informed me that while it is not possible to get in touch with my local office, they (at call center) are not allowed to access my records and are not allowed to send out the paperwork I need! So PLEASE tell me, HOW am I supposed to get anything done?!? I would not recommend any of their services to anyone!

I moved into an apartment that has roaches and the complex is contracted with Terminix. On 9/1/15 lady came out to treat the property. Her attitude was very rude and short. She didn't care about what I had to say but she said she would fully spray the house, use bait and it would take at least an hour. She was acting shady so I got in the car, pulled out of the parking lot and then came right back and parked on the other side and lo and behold not even 15 minute later she was done spraying and went and sat in the truck for longer than she was actually in my apartment before she turned in the key to management. I came in the house and immediately check for wet spot of spray and there was only a couple of places sprayed. She didn't even go upstairs. She spray a couple.of cabinets around the door hinges and only placed 3 bait traps in my 3 bed 2 bath townhouse.
I found a review online from a former manager and sure enough saying Terminix trains the employees to be in and out in less than minutes and they often don't have enough materials to fully spray a unit because it's not cost effective for the company. I complained to management and they are having Terminix come back every two weeks until the problem is solved. So it's likely that Terminix is not care trying to get rid of the pests. They are more likely to want to kill coming back and racking up the bills.

I signed up for service. I have been informed that I can cancel service within service with no charge. I was totally unsatisfied as tech didn't listen to us, didn't spray outside home thoroughly, didn't remove cobwebs and didn't spray all corners of home. When I called customer service and she was rude. So I cancelled service even within 1st week. Then I get calls for paying back money for which I owe nothing as per contract as I cancelled it within 30 days. Now I moved out of that place, still they call me for pay 117$. They transfer me from one dept to another and then comment that branch manager will call me back. But no call even after 1 month or 2 months. They themselves don't know the process. Today they transferred me to corporate management and the lady says she has nothing to do, it is the resolution dept does something. Please I don't recommend this service to anyone who thinks their money and time valuable.

Service forever (monthly). The older man (Kevin) who handled our house couldn't have been the better face of a company in shambles. Sad part is, he passed away this year. (Probably from their toxic and no other alternative chemicals) Rest his soul! Now, we never see anyone, just a bill left at the door and cobwebs abundant on the day a bill is left. Three weeks ago we had serious ants in two parts of the house. Tech came and left, all was good. 4 days later they came back with a fury. We were told it would take a few days more to take hold. Thus, booked another appointment the next day and the person never showed up! I spent all day calling and having half the company tell me different stories - but the best one was that the tech who never showed doesn't even work in this area - they admitted the system does that often.
People have promised to call back. No matter how much they plead, they have never called back. And then to make it a topper... What does it matter... I'm on the phone cancelling. (I'm typing this on hold and the lady comes back with another lie - What a crappy excuse for a company, customer service abhorrent! Too bad the older gent passed.

Terminix service has been great over the years - minimal if any bugs in the house and if we do find the occasional stray - we call and the service is quick and painless to get rid of them. Professional and friendly.

Signed up with Terminix. Part of my contract was follow ups every 2 weeks. Whole month of August, my appointments were constantly rescheduled and no tech ever came out. Next appoint is for tomorrow 9/3. They tell me "no, next appointment is 9/15."

Terminix is the worst for exterminating bed bugs. Do not do business with them! About a year ago in June we called and had a consultation with them. The man who talked to us asked about a year warranty and we agreed to it. We had a contract drawn up for about 1100 or something higher I can't remember. They were to come out when the house was ready and spray. We had a death in the family and pushed back the appointment. We found out later they had canceled our contract when we called yet we were still paying. By September I think our first spray appointment happened. The exterminators were paid to spray the whole house instead sprayed one room, a closet of another room and some furniture. We question this but they said there was no need to spray those areas.
One of the exterminators even said he could charge for his services on the side outside of Terminix, if any other family we knew needed help. This was very unprofessional. They schedule another appointment and never came back. My parents were told because they missed a payment that was financed through them and they would not finish the job till we paid up in full. Having more family issues, my parents trusted what they said, we did not have the time to call and keep calling.
After research this year we realized how much of a scam it was and started to call. At first they claimed our contract was cancelled in June and we did not have business with them. If that were true why did they spray in September? We get promised it will be consulted with the manager and wait for a call. Eight more calls later and two months pass by and finally we get a manager to come out and talk to us about what he can do. He does not really believe us yet the cancelled contract in June and appointment in September was odd to him. He wants to put another bed bug cover on our mattresses that already have bed bug covers. I had to buy mine from Sleep Number as normal bed bug cover do not fit but yet they are insistent that I needed to have their bed cover as well open over my other one. I say that is ridiculous because it won't fit over the air pump tubes and yet we still get charge to have one and he ignores me.
They keep talking about the year warranty; I say yes my mom said we have that. The manager claims that it is not in our paperwork. I say, "Fine. Well we don't want it again" and they keep insisting. I say "my mom talked to the last guy about it and that we purchased it." The manager says "Well it not in our paperwork." I say forget it, tired of arguing and that we don't want it. He ignores me and talks to my dad about it and I tell him that my parents talked about this and don't want it. He is rude and tells my dad well I guess the boss says no.
They agree to take off the seven or eight hundred that we had paid already and raise the price to 1600 total. We have to pay off the rest before we can get started. We charge it and they promise the other contract we owed has been taken care of. They come out and spray and charge us for more bed bug covers we don't need. They were suppose to come again Friday but we had another family member enter hospice and had to go to St. Louis, Missouri so we move the appointment to Monday. They promise to call and guess what, they never call and we have a bill come in saying it was 1053 dollars and we only paid five hundred and owe the rest. First off it was 1600, we paid the second time in full yet we get this bill. At this point I want a refund for everything but the 556.44 that it cost to come out the first time.

I went on the computer to schedule my time. I put for it to be from 3-5 pm and the guy had another call close to my house and came early (1:08 pm). I didn't get any call or notification saying he was early and came home and saw he already came. Had to call him back. He was very nice about coming back. I was just irated that he came early.

I own a home that I have rented out for the last couple of years. I have recently moved back into that house unknowing my last tenant left me bedbugs. I had Terminix come in. They sprayed, had to have them come out a second time. When he came out the second time he only sprayed the rugs and I asked why he only sprayed the rugs. He said it looks good and that I was all clear. That was a lie. I was calling not even a week later. I lifted my bed up from the frame and about went crazy when I seen the beg bugs plus all the bug guts or whatever it is. They did come, for the 3rd time, out only a day or 2 later, which I asked them to bring out a new cover for the box spring since it had all the bug guts on it.
They came out, I had to take off work so I could make sure it got done right this time. Guess what? They didnt have the Mattress cover. I had to call yet again. 4th time, take time off of work, AGAIN. I had called the day before they were to come and asked if he was going to have a new cover for the bed. After I was transferred, the guy on the phone said "yes" he will have it. Well he didn't.
I called to complain. I told the lady I was not happy. She took down all my information and said the General Manager would call me back in just a day or two. It's been 4 business days and haven't heard a word. This has been a very traumatic experience for me and my husband and they just made it worse. I do have to say that all of the servicemen that came out were friendly. That was the only good thing about this experience. I am NOT HAPPY AT ALL!!!

I am very disappointed with Terminix. I called them to get rid of roaches that got brought into my home and they have been coming out every 2 months to spray and every time they come out I tell them they are not going away and are getting worse. I am locked in to a contract with them. I have not gotten any return calls and when he comes in he don't even spray well and now I have even more and they was just here a week ago.
How can they get away with taking people like this. I am on a fixed income and I can't afford to hire anyone else. I just want the bugs gone and I trusted them to do their job. The guy that comes out has done nothing new to help. He is here a whole 10 minutes, blames the woods and the contents in my home. For them not being gone my home is not the best but I haven't had roaches in over 10 years till now and I have had them out here 4 times in 8 months and still no results.

I hired Terminix to fumigate our termite infested house in August 2014. I paid $5,200 for a 10-year warranty that states: "If your home is ever infested by drywood termites again, Terminix pays for any future damage repairs. 100% satisfaction or your money back." We discovered new infestation in July 2015. After a couple of no-show appointments, a Terminix inspector acknowledged the new infested areas but I never heard from him again. I called for someone to treat the damaged areas.
After many rescheduled appointments, someone came on Aug 18 but could not do most of the treatment because the re-inspector should first have scheduled someone to remove the infested areas. He said he would ask his supervisor to call me to schedule it. No one could ever be reached. I still have not been able to get anyone to take care of the problem. In summary my experience of Terminix is that a lot of employees pass the responsibility to someone else, no one is accountable nor seems to care about customer satisfaction, no one ever follows up. Appointments are missed, when someone comes nothing useful gets done, issues are continually pushed to another department. I will now try to get my money back.

Signed up for a year of service (money back if not satisfied). The person came out, stayed 5 minutes because rain started, never came back. Called and scheduled another appointment, never came back. Called and stated we want the contract cancelled, they said "cannot do that, we will send out someone again." We contracted for ants and for a hornets nest. We still have ants and the hornets nest. I put my complaint via email to Terminex main website which stated "we will get back to you very soon." No one ever responded. So now, we have informed them verbally (multiple times) and in writing via email that we want nothing more to do with them. We are still waiting for a credit to my account. I guess we will have to just contact the credit card company and put this charge in dispute. This is ABSOLUTELY THE WORST company that I have ever had dealings with.

Date of service was 8/20/15, tent treatment for 3,800. I am a renter at the property it was done at and somehow I got a bill for 3,800 and I don't even own the property. The fumigation was set up and done by Mark ** (our landlord and owner) which he is aware also of the continued problem of ants and now roaches as well. He told me Keith ** had told him the same that the fumigation was for the ants. So now he is filing a complaint with the BBB, they can only help to mediate between both parties and document it. They can't force a company to do anything or take away their license or fine them, etc etc. So anyhows, we were all under the impression they were fumigating for ants which is what Keith ** the licensed field inspector from the Santa Fe Springs office in California had us believe the fumigation was for the ants. We didn't have a problem with termites or bed bugs or roaches or rodents of any kind, just ants everywhere.
Fumigation started on 8/18/15 to 8/19/15. We were gone for three days at a hotel paid by our landlord from 8/18/15 to 8/20/15. We took an extra day due to baby and hired a cleaning service to help clean apartment when we got back in. There were ants and a few roaches running around still. I told my landlord and he said to call Keith ** and ask him about it. We called Keith ** and he said it's normal after fumigation and that the ants come out to pick up all the dead termites to feed off them, but that they could come and spray the building for ants and roaches for a discounted price since we already had the building fumigated for termites. In my mind I was like WTF?! So I hanged up upset and I called my landlord and told him what Keith had said. My landlord was puzzled about it like I was. The fumigation was supposed to be for ants not termites.
A few days later, I, myself, get a bill from Terminix for $3,800 under my name. How in the hell do I get a bill for a fumigation to a building that's not even mine Shouldn't it be in my landlords name?? I called the 1800 Terminix number and they told me I need to pay it by September 7, 2015 or it will go to collections. So I sent a picture of the bill to my landlord. As the days have passed it has gotten even worse with the ants and now we have roaches as well. I have a 5-month-old baby. As of 9/1/15, ants are everywhere and bite. My baby has ant bites so you know I'm not only mad and stressed over this whole ordeal... so is my wife, my baby and I'm sure my landlord as well and the tenants next to me. This is a 3 unit apartment.
So anyone reading this, do not, do not use Terminix. Now I have to deal with the credit report and file a false billing in my name by Terminix. If they don't correct this I will have to get an attorney to sue for this added stress and emotional pain caused to me and my family and I'm sure the neighbors and landlord will do the same since we still have ants and now roaches as well. Fix this Terminix, less talk and more action. "We can protect you from a range of pests beyond termites." "Pests can squeeze their way into even the cleanest of homes." " One-time treatments may work temporarily, but usually don't provide long-term solutions. Terminix does." That is their own words in the back of the bill they sent me.

Contacted Terminix to do a pest inspection that is being required by Quicken Loans to refinance my home. Terminix said they could do this. We set up a time and my wife took off work to be there for the inspection. It was scheduled for 8:00 AM. At 10:30 AM she called the company back and they said the agent was on his way. Then about 11:45 the agent called and finally arrived at 12:30. He did the inspection and left us a bid for a contract for pest control services. Terminix was told on the front end we did not want to contract services at this time - we needed a pest inspection only for a home closing requirement.
I have contacted Terminix twice and explained what I needed and both times was told by the Terminix person that the data service can help me and they transferred me to them on the phone and I stayed on the line both times for over 30 minutes with no answer. Both times I was also told that there was no record of Terminix being at my home. Even though I was holding onto the Terminix Package left by the Terminix Inspector. This is unacceptable as a business practice. We lost money by taking off work to be at the home for the inspection and having to do all this follow-up trying to get the pest inspection form from Terminix to complete by house closing. So take my advice and look elsewhere for your pest issues. This company plays too many games to try to get you to buy something you don't need or want. Very disappointed!!!

I have been with Terminix for about 3 yrs now. We woke up this morning to a pantry full of ants. First call, our next appointment isn't for a few weeks out. I called to see if we could have someone come out sooner. I explained what the situation was over the phone and the lady said they could have someone out in 2 weeks. When I asked if they could come sooner she put me on hold... for 38 minutes and never heard from her again. Call 2, I called back and the guy was friendly, put me on hold for 41 minutes then a lady came on and said "can I help you," then IMMEDIATELY said "I cannot hear you sir." She hung up on me.
Call 3 I called back, to see what or when my appointment is or was. They would put me on hold and told me how important my call is to them, how I can repel mosquitoes, how I can manage my services from the palm of my hand and if I move into a new home how easy it is to move my services. I couldn't take it anymore and hung up. Needless to say they wanted to put me on hold again. I'm not sure when my appointment is going to be but I am going to look for a new company for pest control. Half the time they don't even go into the backyard. I am going to terminate Terminix!!!

I scheduled an appointment on 08/26/2015 for Terminix to complete a pest Service and treat some problem areas. I took off of work so that I could be present when the technician arrived. The technician never showed up, however when I logged on to my account he stated that the service had been completed. How?!?! When I was home the entire time and waiting for him to show up. I called Terminix again the next day to reschedule and told them I needed a complete service done including the inside of my house. They scheduled the appointment for 08/28/2015. AGAIN I took off from work to be home to receive the technican. The window for the appointment was from 3 - 5. At 5:30 I was still waiting and did not receive a call and the technician did not show up!
I checked my account again and the service ticket was updated saying the service was complete. Unbelievable!!! I immediately called Terminix and complained. They stated they had to transfer me to the liaison office so they could contact the tech. I was on hold for more than 30 mins. Finally I spoke with a representative in the liaison office who tried to reach the technician but did not have any success. She said she would put in a complaint with the branch and they would follow up. Of course to no surprise I have not received a call.
After I got off the phone with three representative I received a phone call from an unknown number. Can you guess who it was? It was the technician, he was informing me that he was sorry he missed the appointment but he got stuck in uptown DC... huh?? Stuck in uptown DC??? That's funny because the service ticket that I viewed on my account said you were at my house and you completed the service. Then he proceeds to inform me that he tried to call me but he was calling the wrong number to update me that he was stuck uptown. This is the biggest SCAM OF LIFE. I'm sure most people schedule their appointments and are not home to confirm if service has been complete. I am sure that the only reason I caught this is because I took off each time.

I hired Terminix for a bedbug problem in my home. The inspector came and looked for bedbugs and saw activity. The technicians came and we were told to wash all our clothes. We did 21 loads of laundry and had our pets put away for four hours. It was physically, financially and emotionally hard on us due to the heat. After returning home the bedbug problem seems even worse and are crawling on us during the day. I have called several times and they just keep saying that they will be back in one week. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!

I hired Terminix and had them treat my home for swarming termites. Holes were drilled around my foundation, pesticide was added and I was put on a three year contract to pay them. Termites have returned. I contacted Terminix. They tried to get more money from me until my son intervened. I am 88 years old and they promised that they would repair the damage to my baseboard and walls. Now they won't answer my calls or my son's calls. I would love to come back and post that this was a simple misunderstanding, but I am sure they have moved on.

Terminix and their employees are unprofessional, care little about their customers, are money hungry, rude, and unreliable. I work for a hospital and a medical group. Both facilities are looking for a pest control company. I have stopped them from even considering Terminix after this horrible experience. I will deter anyone I know from starting/continuing services with Terminix. I am in the process of mailing a letter to the Corporate Office. Let's see how that goes. I cannot wait for Orkin Pest Control to service my home. I explained to them the experience with Terminix and they informed me they would have cancelled the bill. Again, Terminix is horrible! This has been the WORSE EXPERIENCE I have ever had with a company and their employees.
Long story short, I received an email for a bill for services that were rendered at my home on August 18th. I was unaware of any appointments, and never received a call to confirm. Services were rendered while no one was home on the exterior of my home. Regardless, I do not allow any type of work on my home when no one is home. I have placed 4 phone calls to Terminix, explained the issue, requested that management contact me. Each time I was told that an automated call and voicemail was left on my cell on August 14th, not at all true. I was also told that the service tech is supposed to call personally the day before, that never happened... Each call I made, I was told that someone in management would call me in 24-48 hours, that never happened.
Finally yesterday a manager called me after complaining for the 4th time. He was rude, cutting me off while I spoke. Basically stated that because I signed a contract I would be responsible for the bill, even though he and all the other reps said that the tech is supposed to confirm the appointment... I am still disputing this bill. I am writing a letter to their corporate headquarters.

Made four an appointments for an inspection. The first appointment they called one hour into my 2 hour window to reschedule for another day because they had "overbooked". The next 3 appointments I had no calls, no shows. They didn't even have the common courtesy to call to say they would not make it. I made an appointment with Orkin who came right out for an inspection. I am waiting for them to call me back to schedule a treatment. Terminix is very unprofessional. Would not recommend them unless you like playing games.

Regarding their pest control - it's useless. They only spray where they want to, which is so irritating! Furthermore, despite asking many times for a different technician, they'd send the same guy over and over again. Regarding termite protection - that's another huge scam. Just putting money in their pocket for nothing. I am sure, when you really need protection, they'll charge you an arm and a leg for that as well.
I signed up for an exclusion service in Dec 2014. Shelled out $964! They hardly did anything. They put a few mouse traps in the attic, plugged a few entry points on the wall on the exterior and under the counters in kitchen and restrooms. Certainly not worth $964! Then about 6 months later, when the rains came, I noticed some lizard activity in the home, and I know it was coming into the home from somewhere outside. So I was concerned, so I decided to use my follow-up which was free (after all I paid $964!) according to what I was told on the phone by a lady to whom I explained the problem. I work downtown, so I repeatedly asked to be called an hour in advance. The guy came in, parked for 5 min, told me, "Exclusion is only rodents," so I sent him away. He did nothing beside warm his truck seat!
The next day, I received a bill for $216 in my e-mail. Unbelievable. I call and they mysteriously say it is renewing next year's exclusion service? WTF? Did I ask to renew it? Besides, it hasn't even been a year yet, who gives them the right to just slap a renewal bill? The bill doesn't even state it is for renewal! Furthermore, when you call customer service to cancel all service agreements, they require someone from their local office to call you back to confirm the cancellation! Ridiculous. I called yesterday to cancel all my services, and I am yet to get "that call." This is a fraudulent business, and I am going to sue.

I recently was contacted by a Terminix technician. The tech informed me that he was running late and wouldn't make his appointment window. We agreed on a rescheduling of this appointment for Aug 24th between 10 am and 12 pm. I contacted Terminix at approximately 11:45 - 1 am to confirm that the tech was still coming. The woman that received the call was clearly eating or chewing something making it very difficult to understand her. I was informed that the tech was scheduled for a 1 - 3 pm timeframe. I informed the customer service rep I could not miss an entire day of work hoping the tech would show.
I set a new appointment date for Aug 31st. At the conclusion of the call I asked the customer service rep to email me a confirmation of the revised date and time, she confirmed my email and the call was concluded. The email was never sent. The woman on the phone was less than professional and I feel the promises Terminix made are empty and I will most likely change vendors.

Terminix charged me for one year contract that I did not agree to. I agreed to pay the additional charges if they could produce a contract with my signature. A contract was signed by someone else. The dispute ended up in a collect agency and now hit my credit report.

I hired Terminix to do an outside spray of my home for insects and a crawl space inspection for pests, specifically rats/mice, and insects. The external spray was effective. The inside inspection of the crawl space reported no mice or rat activity. Subsequently, during the sale of the home, the buyer's home inspector found dead rats and signs of activity in the crawl space. The dead rats were obviously there and dead at the time of inspection and were lying on the floor of the crawl space... not hidden.
I called Terminix requesting a refund for the inspection services. Their initial response was that I only had 30 days to request a follow-up service. I responded that that applied only to the insect spray and that the inspection should have identified the rodent issue as it was present during the inspection. The follow up was to say that they would turn over my complaint to the local Terminix office manager for review. I have heard nothing back and there is no direct way to contact that office.

After finding hundreds of flying ants in my home I called Terminix to have someone come out. I was delighted to find out someone could be out later that day, between 4 and 6 on a Friday. At around 5:15 I got a call from Terminix but they hung up after I answered, even though it only rang 3 times. I called the number back but it was the general Terminix switchboard. I ended up on hold for over 50 minutes. By the time I got a hold of someone who knew what the call was about they said the inspector could not make it today but would like to reschedule in ten days. By then it was too late to get another company out until after the weekend. I had given them a credit card number; they said it was never charged but I will be watching to confirm this is true.

I had an inspector from Terminix come to my home on 8/17/15 and an exclusion and pest control treatment was set up. The inspector had me sign a contract and never explained to me what I was signing. He never told me that my services would be financed. He just asked me for my social security and told me where to sign and to expect a bill in the mail within 45 days. To my knowledge he made it sound like I would be receiving a monthly bill. I have been calling the inspector and the company since Wednesday up until today and I never received a call back from anyone. Mind you the inspector told me to call him if I have any questions. Very unprofessional. I guess once he got my signature, who cares about the client.
The reason I was calling them in the first place was to downgrade my services when I realized how expensive the charges were.. I cancelled my contract today at 10 am today, and to show you how horrific their services are I get a call from the specialist at 1 pm to tell me he is on his way. The company didn't even have the courtesy to notify the tech that the contract and appt was canceled. Now after finding out today that my services were on a loan basis I have to now call the financial dept to officially cancel the payment arrangement. I wouldn't recommend this company if my life depended on it. Disgraceful is all I can say..

I am a 10-year Terminix customer (acct # **). Contracted for termite tenting with my neighbor, 05/05/2015. Tenting crew incompetent and damaged both roofs. Damage reported to Terminix immediately. My neighbor who is not a customer was promptly reimbursed by a service company. The damage allowed rats to enter my home and required further service. I have called 8 times, sent a letter and partial payment, and still no response from Terminix. Very dissatisfied and will probably cancel service if unresolved shortly.

The technician never showed up and when I called customer service to see what happened, she giggled and said the truck must have broken down. When I asked her why the technician didn't call to let me know since I scheduled my time to be home during the 2 hour window, she continued to giggle and said he planned on being on time. Very unprofessional and I will never use or recommend this company.

I have been a Terminix customer for several years. In April of this year (2015) I called to add our recently purchased cabin to my account. I felt the amount quoted was extremely high for a very small cabin. Substantially more than what I was paying for my home (4x the size). At that time I did not add the cabin, but instead shopped around. I found someone locally and called Terminix in May 2015 to cancel my account. The representative asked why and I explained the situation. Yesterday I opened a letter from Terminix, thinking it was an advertisement, but it was a delinquency notice for a service that was performed in June. I called Terminix to explain that my account had been closed. The individual I talked to said someone from the Branch would call me within 48 hours.
Instead the individual I spoke with called back within the hour to state that the Branch had no record of the account being cancelled and since there was a robocall telling me the service was to occur that they would not reverse the charge. I have no idea if there was a call or not. I also don't know if this service ever actually happened. There was nothing left at my house to say that it was done. What I do know is that I cancelled this account and I should not be held accountable for their representative not doing what he was supposed to do.

My 94 yr old relative paid Terminix to spray for ants for years. Now we discover carpenter ants have moved in and have done structural damage to her house. Calling customer service bounced me around for an hour with zero results other than them sending a guy to look for termites that she doesn't have. Finally, days later, and after my builder fixed the wall and roof, I reached the branch Mgr who told me- "read the contract, we're not responsible." He wouldn't offer to negotiate or even offer free spraying. The ads say 'We have the best guarantee in the Industry.' I find the ads deceptive. I called my US Senator. His office agreed with my point, told me to call Better Business, the US Office of Consumer Affairs, and AARP for Consumer alerts. It all could have been avoided with better customer service...

I signed up for Terminix service on June 2015 after receiving a flyer that listed all the service Terminix provides. I called customer service and it was explained to me that service is every two months but I can call them anytime I have a problem if I have any problem. I was also informed that included on their service is removing spider web which was one of the main reason I decided to sign up for service due to the fact that I have high ceiling therefore this is an ideal service for my home. I had my first initial service the same week I signed up and that's when I met the technician assigned to my area and his name is Miguel. Then the second service appointment came and that's when it all went downhill.
Apparently either Terminix or Miguel scheduled my second service without any agreement from me on the date because I suddenly received a reminder message that I have an upcoming appointment. I was willing to accommodate the appointment however my son had an emergency that day that I had to take them to the doctor therefore I called Miguel to inform him that I won't be available that day. Miguel then asked me if he can still service and spray outside the house so I said of course that's not a problem at all but I still need him to spray inside the house because we still see spiders inside the house. He then made an appointment with me for Tuesday at 10am.
I planned to be home that day and took a day off from work. Tuesday came but Miguel was a no show. I decided to call Terminix to report the problem. The customer service dept. sent a message to the local office informing them of what happened. Then Miguel called me back finally around 6 pm only to deny making the appointment even though I personally spoke to him to make the appt. I informed him that I still need the inside of my home treated again because spiders still exist and he responded to me in an irate manner that he doesn't service interior and that he also doesn't remove spider webs. I informed him that it wasn't I was told when I initially signed up for service. I also reminded him that he has never returned to check the traps he left in the bedroom since it was initially placed there.
He then once again responded in an irate manner making it my fault as to why I didn't called back to have him check the trap? It was a frustrating conversation with him that I finally just told him that due to all of these bad experiences I am considering to terminate my service. Miguel simply replied for me to go ahead and do what I have to do so I went ahead and cancelled my service. I reported this to Terminix and spoken to the liaison dept. twice. Both times they sent a message to the local Terminix office where Miguel works. They assured me that someone would call me back but sadly as of today no one has bothered to call me back. I also personally left Chris, Miguel's supervisor, a message the day I cancelled my service but unfortunately, as of today he never bothered to return my call either.

Service agent left about an hour ago. I went to do laundry in the basement and saw bug spray/liquid dripping down my walls. Some on my son's video games that we store in a wall holder, some by my 5 year old's puppet theater. Liquid almost reached the floor in some spots. My kids play in that basement! Luckily I went down there before my children did because the agent said nothing about it! I immediately called Terminix and told them what happened and they put me on hold, and on hold and on hold! I do not want them coming back to my house but I do not even know how to end my service agreement. They conveniently leave that information off the website.

We've used Terminix for some time now but last May we terminated our contract because they couldn't get rid of the ant problem. We were then billed for a full quarter of the year (3 months) when we only used one month. We find it unfair to have to pay for something we're not using. Terminix DID NOT get rid of the ants. We are willing to pay a third of the bill, since we did not use the whole quarter but Terminix is telling us that's not possible. Now today we were told that if they had been called out to service the property for just ONE time, it would cost just as much as they charge for a quarter of the year. On top of this Terminix calls our house an average, twice a day. Today it's been three times and it's only noon! We are willing to pay for the service we received but not for a full quarter.

I was a former customer a year ago, the price I paid for services was $109/quarterly. For that price, Terminix came out at the start of the quarter, sprayed and didn't come out again unless I called and had other pest issues, usually I didn't. Good service, and worked well. After a year, I called to cancel - trying to save money, thought I would suspend service. When I called to cancel they offered me 50% off my current services. I declined at the time, since I was trying to save money - but great try.
So I just called for pricing, and spoke to a sales team member. I explained the above and he said "Yeah. we don't offer that". I have had Terminix now for over a year. Usually they are on top of things. I love my technician and this is not his fault. I paid in full for my Benedict treatment for my yearly spray. This month I called to see when the service was going to be performed, due to four months of no communication. I called and customer service indicated that they only have one instrument to perform this service and the service manager would call me on Monday to schedule something. I receive a call on Tuesday indicating that the service manager came to my house on Monday and no one was there and the crawl space was locked. What happened to the call on Monday? I am just really frustrated on having to call and schedule things that are routine. Big waste of my time as each call takes over 15-20 minutes. There is a serious shortage of technicians and communication. Does anyone have any suggestions for a better pest service in the Durham county area?

We purchased the encapsulation from Terminix after having water, bug and wildlife problems in our crawlspace. We were told that we would no longer experience any of the previous problems and they installed a dehumidifier to take care of any moisture problems. We have had Terminix out more times than I can count for flooding in the crawlspace, faulty or not working dehumidifier (which has been replaced and still breaks) and we also now have wildlife living under the house. The encapsulation is less than 1-year-old. Not one problem that Terminix guaranteed us that this encapsulation would fix has worked. We are unable to get in touch with anyone in management and are still paying for an $8,200.00 product which does not work. So very disappointed!!!

After paying bills on time and in full for 3 years, received a call from a strange tech saying he could not perform service but wanted to reschedule. We said we did not want him to come and wanted to cancel the service. No one came to our home. No form showing work performed left at the door. However, a bill came in the mail. We wrote that service was not performed and to cancel on the bill and returned to Terminix. Called and explained 3x's. Transferred multiple times saying branch manager will call. Still not resolved. Complaints to Ohio AG and the city are next. I will not pay for service I didn't request and wasn't performed.

I have been a very satisfied customer for 30+ years. Everything has always been performed as needed and when needed by very professional people. However, this year during an inspection I was informed my vents were inadequate and there was an issue concerning access to another crawl space. Why was this suddenly a problem? No one in 30 years had brought up this issue. There have been multiple inspectors and we even had additional insulation installed by Terminix. Nothing was mentioned about an issue. It seems this recent inspection was all about getting me to buy new vents. While I did purchase them as suggested, my faith in Terminix has been shaken.

On July 20 2015 Joshua ** a Terminix inspector came out from Johnson City, TN for an inspection for a closing on our property. To make a long story short he confirmed NO termite infestation but saw a board in the basement that may have had prior activity. So he informed us in order for the closing to proceed we would have to get some spraying done in the basement and have them put out preventative bait traps (18) for a total of $896.00. NO ACTIVITY BUT TO PREVENT. On July 23 the service guy came out and put out the 18 bait traps and when we told him he was supposed to spray he said it wasn't on his orders and when we showed him the board he said I don't see anything.
The house closed after we paid the $896.00 and to this day they never sprayed. In order for the Eastman Credit Union to close he made us pay for preventative for the buyers. Spoke to 3 people in the company to no avail. We were unfairly and deceptively treated by TERMINIX in Johnson City, TN. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

I called Terminix in May to treat my home for a silverfish issue. I had no issues in the beginning with the exception that the treatment really didn't help my problem. I called back and scheduled another treatment about two weeks later. Again they came and sprayed. In total I had to have them back five times since May and it is now August. After the second time I ran into issues trying to call and schedule appointments. I was placed on hold for too long and then finally I was told someone would call me back to make appt but I never got a callback so I had to call a week later. Then I was scheduled for a Saturday and I waited around for the three to four window they gave me and no one showed up. Then they came a week later and sprayed again.
I called about two weeks later to inquire about next steps because treatment was not helping my problem. We scheduled for an inspector to come out on Aug 15th and again I waited around all day and no one showed up. I called Terminix twice this day to confirm inspector was coming and I was told yes. When the time was up and no one showed I called Terminix again, which you can only call corporate and that is half the problem that there is no local service, and the customer service rep told me there was no appt scheduled!
How is it that I called twice earlier the same day and they confirmed my appt and then I call again later and suddenly they don't see my appt scheduled? After being placed on hold again for 40 minutes, I finally requested a full refund, which by the way I should hear back on in 48 hours to hear if approved... Apparently they need to try and rectify situation first. Really? Time is up Terminix. Terminix sucks. I am calling a local pest control company.

I called and scheduled a time for them to come out for a flea and tick spray treatment and was told it would be between 8-10 on Saturday. I got a free termite inspection with this service and the termite inspector showed up and he was great, told me that the tech should show up within an hour or so. Well they never showed up. I waited until 11:30 to call Terminix and tell them that he hadn't shown up yet, I was put on hold over 10 minutes, had to call back 3 times to finally get through, then was told that they would call the tech.
After that they told me the tech didn't answer but they left him a message and maybe he would call me back. Well he didn't call me back. I waited until 1:30 then called again, waited another 10 minutes on hold and then finally got through and told them to just cancel it. I'd rather spend my money with a company that will have someone show up, or at least be apologetic. I'm watching my account close and they better not charge me for ANYTHING! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

I called in yesterday to schedule a technician visit to my home. The gentleman that scheduled could give me no information on what to expect due to what he said "I am not a licensed technician so I cannot tell you what to expect". He said "oh ma'am, we have an appointment available for you today from 7-9pm. Is that time acceptable?" I told the gentleman I work evenings but I will go ahead and schedule off to get my house inspected. I took off work and not knowing what to expect, I began doing a deep spring cleaning. Removing clutter, pulling stuff from under beds for easy entry for tech... Pulled things out from closets so he could look there... So on. Granted, I have a four bedroom, three level home (not to mention a newborn) but I wanted everything to be ready!
At 8:30pm I decided to call and confirm the appointment because I had yet to hear from anyone. I called and was placed on hold for about ten minutes waiting to speak with someone in "scheduling". The woman got on the phone and I explained I had been waiting all day. Her response "oh... No we don't schedule appointments that late. You a business? Then nope, the guy must've been new. We can't come out tonight." Furious, I demanded a manager. She stated "no one is here for you to talk to. I can have a manager call you in 48 business hours."
At this point I was irate. I asked her "ma'am how am I supposed to know, as a new customer that you do not schedule appointments that late? I was offered a time slot and agreed. I prepared my home for not just inspection but to become a new customer and have him spray if need be... And now you're stating that won't happen and I cannot speak to a manager until Tuesday? This is unacceptable." Not one time did this woman apologize for my inconvenience. Not one time did she offer me any options. Not once did she try to calm me down, offer me a coupon or try to rectify the situation. Needless to say I WILL NOT BE USING TERMINIX and the customer service is horrible!!! I will be calling Orkin.

After Terminix bought out the small pest control service in our area, I thought we would get great customer service and pest control results. I was wrong. After a failed 2nd attempt to get rid of ants in my home, I scheduled a 3rd visit. They couldn't send someone out for a whole week. I was never given a time window. I missed the agent while walking my dog. I called right away when I got home and they contacted the agent. He was unable to come back. I cancelled my contract with them. I will go with a small local company.

I started noticing some spiders and ants in my house. Realized I hadn't heard from Terminix about my quarterly outdoor treatment in a while. When I called I was told they came to my house on August 4th (3 days prior to my call). When I told them that was incorrect and nobody came they agreed nobody showed up or called for my appt. New appt was set up for 5 days later between 5-7pm. In the meantime my house became infested with ants forcing me to buy $20 worth of baits and sprays to treat myself and dealing with ants ALL over for 3 days. I can't help but think this would've been avoided had they shown up for the original appt.
On the day of 2nd appt time I get an email at 1:30pm summarizing their visit. They showed up at 1pm instead of the 5-7pm window I scheduled. Mind you I woke up at 430am that morning in order to get off work early to be home in time for this appt. I called to ask why this was and they agreed my appt was for 5-7pm and did not have any answers. But they contacted the local branch and Terminix would come back out to my house between 5-7pm as originally scheduled. They then proceed to not show up at all once again. Meanwhile all I wanted was an OUTDOOR perimeter treatment. What I got was an INDOOR treatment for ants and no outdoor treatment!!! I specifically wanted to be there for the appt (and not the babysitter who was clueless about this) to make sure nothing was done inside as I have a 1 year old that gets into everything and I don't want any pesticides around him.
They specifically told the babysitter what they had was safe and organic. Well Fipronil (what they put on the form they treated the inside of the house with) is definitely NOT organic!!! To top it all off I have no idea where this chemical was put in my house in order to clean it up. All in all 3 consecutive missed appointments, no outdoor treatment, and lying about a toxic chemical that is not organic to be used around a 1 year old baby and not knowing where the chemical is in my home. I would love to hear Terminix response to this unacceptable series of events.

I set up pest control services with Terminix in June 2015. During my initial review with the representative, Gregory **, I was offered construction of a crawl space cover for an additional $250 with the startup of my service. I agreed to have the cover included in my first payment with the startup of my quarterly service. Gregory stated the cover would be installed in approximately a week. Three weeks later, I never received my crawl space cover that was already charged to me.
I called the local phone number several times only to be transferred to a call center on the east coast. Each time they stated a local branch manager would be in touch with me. I never received a call from anyone. I was so dissatisfied with Terminix and cancelled my service and requested a refund of the crawl space cover I never received. One week later, I never received a refund and today I found out from Terminix that the local branch of Terminix is refusing to issue the credit. I have never received such poor service from a company and cannot believe a company would not refund money for something that was never provided.

Inspector for bed bugs asked to check my purse? I asked if that was a normal request and he said yes. I got a phone call, turned away for only a minute, and he stole pain pills out of my prescription bottle. Then left in a hurry and did not even do a proper inspection. I then reported this to the branch mgr. and he said they would investigate and due to the incident they would do the extermination for free. After they came out, that only took them a few minutes, the branch mgr. said and crossed off on the paper any follow ups.
That night I killed 4 bed bugs and 4 more the next night. They did a very crappy job and don't want to help us even though their inspector stole from me and I had the police report and had to take it to my dr. due to being in pain mgmt. contract. I will never use them again unless they sometime real soon get rid of these bed bugs. This has caused me major stress and pain. Need to at least do follow ups till they're gone. Oh my gosh, can't sleep in my bed for over a week now! Have 5 screws in my neck. CEO please make this right, it's making me sick? Don is the branch mgr. from Wilsonville, OR and the kid inspector was Trapper **. Someone please, I am 61 years old and disabled.

We had our Quarterly Pest Control Service on August 5th and as usual they arrived promptly within the scheduled time. They always let us know they are here so we can bring the dogs in and they always let us know when they are finished and remind us to keep the dogs in for at least 1 hour. They are always professional and ask if we are having any problems. When they are finished they let us know their findings and recommendations. We have had their service since August 2010 and have never had even one bug or spider in the house. I highly recommend Terminix for their excellent customer service and their quality service.

On 6/22/15 I called Terminix about damage. They sent out a tech on 7/13/15, he said he would write a report and send it to me along with his manager. 2 weeks later no report! Called Laguna, CA office (called forwarded), said someone would get back to me next day. No call. Called again 2 days later, same answer. Called back 15 or 20 times during the week, always same answer. On hold for anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes then was told someone would call back. This went on for a couple weeks.
I called at least a dozen numbers, always same response (will get back to you). Finally got called back on 8/6 late afternoon. Said too late, would get back to me on 8/8 am. No callback. Started calling in am, calls always forwarded, no return calls. Several people said they would send emails to corporate, ask for copy (no we cannot do that). On 8/4 now a tech is to be here on 8/10 between 3 and 5??? I also went on Terminix web and sent their customer service about 6 email that got no response. I have made over 150 calls and been on hold for over 2000 minutes. Yes, 2000. Easy and I (hope) getting a person to show up.

Recently I had an invasion of ants on one side of my house. Although they died soon after entering via window and under base boards, I did not want them in my house! It took 4 trips for your men to kill the queen ant bed but success was finally achieved. They always assured me they would return as soon as I called until the problem were solved. This was a hard task as no ant beds could be found in my yard. Good job.

This is by far the worst customer service I have ever had from any business, yes even Comcast. My initial service order was for service on the interior and exterior of my home. However, due to recent snowfall the technician was not able to spray the exterior. I was told that he would return when the weather was warmer and service the exterior at that time. He returned this past June on my scheduled quarterly service date and sprayed the exterior only, to the tune of $124.
When I called customer service to figure out why I was being charged for a service I feel I already paid for; I was informed that it is my responsibility to contact Terminix if I need additional service. I fail to see how it is my responsibility to pay for Terminix's negligence to send a technician out to service my house as was promised.

Terminix took it upon themselves to treat our house when we are on vacation. We did not want this treatment, they locked my dogs up in the kennel. Thank goodness we came home the next day with no food or water in the kennel. Also our pool gate was wide open. I will find a new service. Called the office, very rude people.

My Tech, Scott ** arrived early with a phone call to me to ask if OK to come. He is such a nice, personal man and certainly went out of his way to satisfy my pest control needs. He climbed up into an 18in x 18in square opening in a closet ceiling to be able to treat a small crawl space, that I never really knew existed with lighting to treat all perimeters. Good Day. We have the normal quarterly service and the Yearly Termite inspection. On the Quarterly service I have asked to have the tech leave some form of communication to let me know that they actually serviced my home. A door hanger was used years ago but it seems that it has been stopped. I would like to have someone reply back to me on this. Is it too much to ask?

Have had to call a number of times with no response from management. Finally have half way fixed. Junior shows up after a week or two and looks at problem and says he will have to schedule out in another few weeks to only do the same again. He also will try and sale another service- why would I do that when you all can't even fulfill this service!

I have been with Terminix for ten years and take advantage of most services (pest, mold, insulation, termite, etc.) and called for a re-treatment after a regular visit in the first part of June. The representative said the earliest appointment was June 24th (3 weeks?) and on that morning after a routine notification by email that a rep would be here between 8-10 AM, nothing happened. I called what I thought was a local number and was re-routed to Ohio (same as the original request for a re-treatment).
After two or three "back and forths" between me and Ohio (never a local intervention) my regular service tech showed up at one PM for do a regular "for cost" service and refused to budge, even though he had personally done my regular service in April and must have known my service was not due until July 17th. I will retain my Termite Control service with you folks - for now, but if I get "jacked around" in December like I did with the Pest Control service, that's done too.

If you are reading this deciding whether or not you should use Terminix buyer beware. We have a spider problem. Terminix was very friendly at first to get my business, assuring me that they would get rid of them. I was told they would do an inspection of the house to determine why we have spiders Because they said, "Spiders are a secondary problem." and "Don't worry we will get rid of them." So my appointment date arrived 7/25/2015. The technician David ** did come out on time. However there was no inspection done like I was told. Such as looking at the attic space, crawl space under the house. Pretty much he came in the house knocked down a couple webs (which I still saw webs he missed after) and sprayed a couple of places and continued to do the same outside. I asked if he could spray this storage area that you can access the attack crawl space through which we believe to be the reason we have so many large ones inside.
He said no, that he sprayed around the door that should keep them out. He told me that I could expect to see a 90% decrease in spiders and that if I saw some they most likely would be dead or mostly dead. WRONG. A week later I began to see spiders outside where he sprayed forming webs. Small spiders. I knew it would be soon that I would see the large giant spiders returning and what do you know I saw the large giant spiders return. No they weren't dead. No they weren't almost dead. They were very much alive and running fast through our house. So like they guarantee "We’re committed to defending your home or business against pests and termites. We'll do whatever it takes to keep them out, so you can rest easy knowing we've got you covered." I called asking them to come back because we noticed more spiders.
They scheduled an appointment for Friday 8/7/15 between 3 pm-5 pm. That is my husband and I's only day off together. We waited for someone to show. No call, no show. We called customer service and waited to speak with someone for 45 minutes. Of course they never tell the person they are transferring us to our story so we have to explain it again. Then I was told for sure Saturday between 9 am-11 am someone would show. Again no show, no call. I called up Terminix again pretty frustrated now because they have wasted almost 5 hours of my time.
My time is valuable, especially my days off and I was extremely disappointed in their service, customer service and lack of communication. I guess they don't live my their guarantee. I would not recommend Terminix unless you enjoy waiting around for no one to show Or you like paying $180 for no results. I will now use my time to warn others. They say the best advertising is word of mouth. The only reference they will be getting from me is warning others about them. Buyers Beware!

Terminix employees are always pleasant and eager to please. They seem to know where to look for infestations and are willing to inspect any area we mention. We use lots of pine straw in flower beds near the house and we have a compost bin, all places where roaches might congregate, and Terminix always checks these and asks if we want any areas inside our home checked.

Had appointment scheduled. Technician did not show up or call to say he couldn't make it. Called local number and got call center (There is no way to directly reach local office.) Was told I would be called by local manager to reschedule appointment so I could be home. Technician showed up when I wasn't home and no one called. Called local number again, and got call center. Put on hold for 15 minutes; called back and put on hold for 10 minutes. Told I was rescheduled for Monday. Again no one showed and I got no call.
Called local number again and got call center. Told I had not been rescheduled - just that a request had been sent to scheduling. However, I was told originally that I was scheduled. Finally, rep called the technician and I was scheduled for today. He did show up finally. I have still not had the courtesy of a call from the local manager in spite of 3 contacts with Terminix. I am seriously considering not renewing my contract when it comes up for renewal as I am insulted and angry about this customer dis-service.

I would like to share my Terminix experience with others. First of all their warranty is useless, in order to collect the inspector must find the termite alive and well eating your walls, anything else and they claim they are old and not covered under the warranty. Second their guarantee is also worthless. I called and canceled my contract with them for poor service. I said I was not satisfied and would like a refund. The answer I was given was - we don't do that.
I canceled my contract because I requested a treatment 3x and was given an appointment for the treatment and each time they sent me an inspector instead of a service technician. When I called to cancel it took 4 different people to talk to me before I spoke to someone that could cancel the contract. That person told me that people I spoke to, to call for treatment could not schedule a treatment, just an inspection... Each person I spoke to swore it would be a treatment. After all that I asked for a letter from them stating that the contract was canceled so that I would not get another inspection and bill next year, guess what, they don't do that either.

We have quarterly service to the interior and exterior of our home. The treatments keep the spiders (black widows), fleas, and other insects at bay. We enjoy being outside in our backyard, and having these treatments makes it possible to enjoy the outdoors. Terminix associates are friendly and courteous at all times. I would/have recommended Terminix to friends and family.

My mother purchased Terminix and there are more bugs now than I've ever seen at her house. Moths are everywhere when they were never a problem and spiders are running rampant. It's curious about the moths because they fly and are probably exempt from the perimeter spraying but they're here in abundance anyway. I'm wondering if they (Terminix) do the opposite and put down something to attract insects so you'll keep calling them. Fleas, by the way, can be eradicated easily by putting a plastic lid (like from a cottage cheese container, say) and put dish soap and water in it and place it under a light on the floor (night light, lamp, etc.) and the fleas will jump in the water and drown. Works fantastically and will cost about 1 cent.

Terminix did not solve my bed bug problem, in fact, they made it worse. Terminix was practically unreachable for follow up treatment. Terminix is not returning my phone calls. Terminix is not making good on their guarantee. I am trying to get a refund because it was a completely useless product, but Terminix is not making any attempt to reach out to me, to solve my problem, or to issue a refund. Terminix has consistently promised that they would do things that they have not done.
They promise a guarantee that you cannot get them to comply with because they will not put you in touch with the managers and the people that get anything done. Instead, you only speak to customer service people that promise you will be called back, but you are NEVER called back. You have to call over and over again and Terminix does not help you. My problem is far worse than when Terminix showed up, and they cannot be bothered to call me and issue a refund, or make good on their guarantee. Their guarantee was completely false, as I was not given any help at all.

I am particularly unhappy lately with scheduling. My appointments are frequently changed, even after I have gone to the trouble of rescheduling to a particular date. I wish to be home for quarterly treatments so the technician can treat inside the house as well as outside. Try as I might, obtaining a weekend appointment has become nearly impossible. If the difficulty continues, I will switch to another service.

I have been a loyal customer of Terminix for many years and has kept two active accounts with them (2 residences). My property has termite damages to it, of which I am covered for and have been paying on a regular basis and they have decided to deny my claim after their own technicians and reputable contractor have told me multiple times that they have seen similar claims and even worse than mine that have been approved for repair in the same subdivision as mine. When I make a claim like this is one thing but when their own technicians and general contractors that have worked for them tells me that Terminix will take care of me as a loyal customer is truly heart wrenching to see how they have quickly denied my claim but quick to get my money. I guess now I have to look for a competing company that will put action onto their words and FULLY take care of their own (customer).

General complaint each service, I have service scheduled for 3rd Tuesday of the month during the afternoon and each appt gets changed and I have to call office in S.A. to correct. Your computer system will not allow me to make the changes.

Pest control, mainly for ants, is excellent, and your technicians are helpful, courteous and knowledgeable. Pricing is reasonable. The occasional termite visits are casual and way overpriced. It is absurd having two types of visits, since the pest control people could easily spend an additional 5 minutes, get both tasks taken care of, and save both of us money. PS We've never had termites.

We contracted with the Madison Heights, MI office to rid our home of a pesky squirrel in the attic. The initial contact resulted in an appointment which took place as scheduled on 06/06/2015. We were told a technician would perform the service in 2 steps: (1) set a trap to catch any animals (a one-way contraption that sticks out of the vent about a foot), (2) a week later a return visit to clean and disinfect the attic and install impenetrable vent covers on all attic vents. The cost for this would be $1260. We thought it was a lot, but felt we had no choice.
The service tech showed up at the appointed date and time on 06/12/2015, verified the evidence of a squirrel, inserted the trap and promised a return visit in one week to finish the job. He never called or showed up. We started calling, leaving messages and got no response. We finally called the 800 number to lodge a complaint and wound up being connected with the local manager - whose name I do not have at the moment.. He had a real attitude, admonishing me for bothering him at 7 pm, and told me to call him the next morning to arrange the appointment. That was the last contact with anyone from this office.
I started calling the 800 number and time after time, manager after manager promised they would "take care of it." TERMINIX has a record of all of our calls. After another failed promise on Monday, July 27, a call which connected me to the Tampa call center (again), I spoke this morning 7/31 with manager Catherine, who started the same run-around - she is going to "reach out" to the local office... We paid a $200 deposit on June 6, almost 2 months ago. We are now being billed for a balance of $1069 which we refuse to pay. Either complete the job or cancel the bill... Simple, right? Unfortunately, while on a lengthy hold on one of the more recent calls, I was scrutinizing the technician's paperwork and discovered the notation, much to my astonishment and dismay: "no follow up required" in tiny letters. This is now 07/31/2015 - and we are getting nowhere.

I can't say too much regarding my termite problem as they just finished untenting my place today. Customer service sucks! They stepped on my succulent plants (that were not under the tents), they also uprooted some of my other succulents. I also found that they threw my hose on my other succulents and broke all the petals. I complained and didn't seem to reply to emails or phone calls. UNPROFESSIONAL and UNACCEPTABLE. I then asked workers what the guarantee was regarding termites after their tenting. No one seemed to know! Really? No response back to emails and calls made.

The service on termite inspections has been terrible. The issue is electronic scheduling of appointments and advising me to have someone home during the two hours of a particular date. On numerous occasions, more often than not, your technician does not show and the next thing I hear from Terminix is another electronic scheduling. I have wasted my time and my schedule for a company (Terminix) who does not have the courtesy to advise me in advance of the technician not coming. I have sent emails to Terminix home office and made calls to the local manager, Moore, OK, and no one responds. There is a real problem with your business. I am willing to talk to anyone (except those at the local level) at Terminix who is interested in correcting this issue.
Updated 8/17/2015 - I submitted a complaint on July 30, 2015. I was promised a response to my complaint within 48 hours. The only response I have received is a voice mail from the technician that is a large part of the problem. Once again, the Terminix response to my issues is for management to hide behind their field personnel. As far as I know, Terminix management has not been presented my July 30th complaint. Is management going to contact me? To this point and as far as I am concerned, the use of "Consumer Affairs" is ineffective and a farce.

When the bait system was updated sometime last fall or this winter, two underground sprinkler pipes where broken. Did not notice until this spring when we started the sprinkler systems in about April. We have called multiple times to have someone come out and look at the damage so it can be repaired. We have left email via your call center for a manager to come out. We have never received a call. We have now cancelled the pest control and plan on not renewing the termite contract. It is all the same local company.
We have contacted the person that installed our sprinkler system so he can put us on his list to repair the damage that your people caused. I have pictures and video of water coming out of two termite bait traps from two different sprinkler zones. The plastic bait container snapped the the PVC pipe when it was inserted in the ground by one of your technicians. When I get a moment I will report to the neighborhood association as well as the BBB. I think consumers should know what to expect. If this is Terminix's response to a pipe break that is a few hundred dollars, I don't have any confidence that they would stand behind the termite guarantee on the house.

The experience with Terminix was horrible. I have just as many roaches now as I did when they first started. They coned us out of 800$ putting pillars under my house to hold it up; turned out it didn't. Then on July 2 they came out to spray. My 16 year old was here to let them in, and he called defac on me saying all sorts of crap about me not having food and my kids were not properly taken care of (thanks a lot Douglas **). Not sure what they spray with but I can do a better job with my spit. Please don't use this company.

When I asked my tech why I had not received an email prompt in advance of his service call, he told me he didn't know (i.e. "I can't help you.") and, "You'll have to contact corporate." I sent an online request via the customer service portal but never received a response. That's two service strikes ... One more, and Terminix is out.

Sometimes the inspector is not as thorough or detailed as I would like (during quarterly treatments for pests and annual termite inspection). Although I am generally satisfied, I would feel more confident if the service person was more consistently careful with treatments/inspections. Sometimes they have appeared to be too busy and rushed - I think they are short of personnel covering the north coast of CA.

Overall I have been please with the results of the treatments provided by Terminix... no bugs. But, when your guy comes, spends 10-15 min spraying (which is good), then I get the $96 bill, I wonder if I'm really getting value for that much money. Over the last year I've been billed $96 x 4 = $384, plus the annual renewal fee of $199. This totals $583 for about 1 hr of treatment. Come on!!! This is way over-priced! One hour of work plus a few dollars worth of pesticides! Give me a break! And the $199 annual fee is too much. I'm going to shop around and find something less expensive.

I was so bad I canceled my service with Terminix after 6 plus years when you have pest control quarterly which is 4 times a year and you have 3 different people. I've had a good person and her name is Barbara and she was moved to a different area. I've had to complain so many times about my service and how it is done. I'm paying for this and it's a waste of my time and money because I've had to have friends come over and do a better job with stuff you buy from a store. I'm a paraplegic and can't get around and do like I use to and I trusted the name. I will no longer. I have pictures but they are not on my computer. Thank you.

The guy who came (Colt) out was nice, but he admitted he didn't check our account to see what termite coverage we might already have. I thought he had checked it and it was time for the annual inspection. When he left, I found the paperwork and it showed we had the "Liquid Defend System" plan that ends on 12/31/2015 (termite plan number **). I really think he was just here to try to get us to switch to the more expensive termite protection plan. He probably should have checked prior to scheduling the appointment and let his true intentions be known. If he had, we would have told him we were fine with the Liquid Defend System we have now and saved us both some time.

Arranged for pest and mosquito control with Terminix and gave them my card details on the assurance money was never taken before work was completed. They never showed up on day they were scheduled. No phone call, nothing. They took $113 from my bank account however on July 1st. I called their freephone number and eventually got put through to an area manager who argued that no money had been taken from my account. Called again and got through to billing dept who said she couldn't find any record of the money being taken. I emailed her copy of bank statement showing that they did and she promised to call right back. That was a week ago. Guess next step is to report them for theft?

I had a appointment with Terminix on 7-14-15 between 10 and 12. No one called. I called them. They said appt was set up wrong. I got another appt. 3 PM to 5 pm. No call no show. I was charged for services that I never asked for and for services never rendered. They said that they would come out to my house to spray multiple times and they would never show up! I now have a collections on my credit report for services that were never rendered! I want all charges removed as soon as possible.

Every year we are to receive an inspection. Usually, they do not show up when they say. This year, we were here waiting and the tech, of course, never showed up. I went online to see if they had rescheduled, and to my surprise, the tech had actually created a ticket that he had been here and we were not home! I called many times and had talked to some nice reps and some extremely rude ones. The tech finally came out and did the inspection but put it in as a follow-up. I asked for a ticket and he said I didn't need one. I have still not heard from the manager as I was told I would. I paid $265.00 for a tech to pretend he came out. I wonder how many other times this has happened to others. This company has no ethics or integrity and I would highly recommend that if you need this service you check into other companies as bigger is definitely not always better. I have since called and emailed and still have not heard from the manager of this branch.

After notifying the service provider that the service was going to be cancelled he provided an invoice stating that exterior general pest control was completed 2 weeks later at my home. The service provider did not show up at anytime after he was notified of the service cancellation. On the day the bill suggest that the service was done I was outside the whole day, which once again the service provider did not come to my residence. On June 3 the charge was submitted as an dispute and since then I have received several phone calls from Terminix threatening to send the charges to collections and was just told that the phone calls are going to continue until the balance is paid. The last time we talked to customer service they said that they would be checking the service provider's tracking system and would get back to us in a few days to verify his location on 29 May between the hours he stated he was at my residence. Still no phone call.

A Terminix representative conducted an illegal solicitation at my residence on 7/10/15 & 8:10 PM. He refused to acknowledge the "no soliciting" sign in middle of the door. When I pointed out that it was on the door and that he needed to leave, he continued to talk over me and continued to sell. I am located in Plano. I assume it was Plano Branch #2517. No name was given. He was dark-complexioned and his ethnicity was Indian. If he's not an employee, then he is an independent contractor in a Terminix uniform. Next time it happens I'm pressing criminal charges and will seek further legal advice.

I called and the Customer Service was helpful and quick arranging my appointment. The day the tech came out, he told us he couldn't get rid of the spiders because we live in a small town. Then he told me to call back and arrange for him to come back and spray, so I did. Well he calls me the day before informing me he's not coming out. And I had a year contract set up for service and the tech decided to change it for a one-time spray. This is beyond frustrating, I'll never use them again.

I would like to report an incident with Terminix that resulted in extremely poor customer service. Earlier today I scheduled an appointment with them because I am having a problem with something biting me. I was assured that someone would be out today between 1-5 PM. Around 5:30 PM I contacted Terminix because no one had shown. Initially, the representative informed me I wasn't scheduled, then she found my appointment in the local office which had closed for the day. She suggested I reschedule for the next day. I declined, and told her this was extremely poor customer service. She informed me the technician's schedule was full & the person was unable to get to me today. Again she offered to schedule me for the next day, and again I declined. I told her that I could not miss another day from work waiting for someone who may or may not show up.
In my opinion, the least they could have done was notify me that they would not be able to keep the appointment. Customer service today is substandard compared to years ago. Apparently, Terminix doesn't value a customer's time or need for their services. With so many exterminators available I will be contacting someone else & I will submit a claim to the BBB.

Just bought a home--had termites. Met with agent, signed the contract, and was told to be at home so they can tend the home. Agent told me to be there at 9 am. Terminix didn't show up every time I would call the office. They would tell me that the service men would be in an hour. This went on till 4 pm then Terminix just would not answer my calls anymore. I cancelled the contract. Now I'm being billed for services never done in my house and their customer service treats me like I'm the bad guy. Terminix has very bad customer service and lacks any type of professionalism. Can never get to a manager. They constantly leave me on hold. Will never do any business with Terminix and much less recommend them to my worst enemy.

I contacted Terminix in 9/2014 to eliminate roaches in my home. After three visit and $298.97 in payment, one of which was fraudulently charged to my credit card, I still have roaches in my home. They never went away - Not after the initial visit or two visits later. Terminix now wants to bill me another $125.84 for their 3rd attempt to eliminate roaches. I am not satisfied and I have never been satisfied and I would like to know how a class action lawsuit can be filed against Terminix since I am sure that they are always making promises and guarantees that they do not keep.
My company used them professionally to eliminate a roach issue in our apartment community and for nearly 2 years, we continued to have issues. The roaches were never eliminated yet they got paid. No company should get paid for not doing the work that they were hired to do. I want the remainder of my service for free and I would like to know if anyone would be willing to file a class action lawsuit.

A nice young sales rep came to my house on a Saturday afternoon selling Terminix yearly service. I was not in need of an extermination service, as my house is brand new, however, I signed a contract anyway. My first treatment was scheduled for the following Monday, June 8, 2015. I was home the entire day and no one arrived. I called Tuesday, June 9, 2015 to inquire about the missed appointment. They informed me there was a tech at my house from 1:12 pm til 1:21 pm, and did the treatment with a "hand-duster".
This was absolutely untrue. I was home, the garage doors were open... and I have five (5) hi-tech, fully functional cameras at my home. My house is approximately 3000 sq. ft. and two stories with rough-cut pine siding. It would be impossible to do anything at my house in nine minutes. It would have taken her longer to unload her materials and ladder.
They promptly withdrew the $113.00 from my account even after I called on Tuesday with my complaint. They advised me a supervisor was the only person who could reverse the charge, and would contact me within 24-48 hours. That never happened. I continued to call numerous times with no credit, no call from a manager, nothing. Instead, I received an itemized bill for the "supposed" treatment with time of service and method and chemicals used. Apparently, my brand new house is infested with termites, carpenter ants and other insects, which is preposterous!! The bill in its entirety, was generated by an employee sitting her in truck just writing bogus bills, for service she never completed. Terminix didn't seem to care.
After the third week of being ignored, I went to my bank. The branch manager called Terminix and was able to speak with a supervisor. The funds were finally returned to my account a few days later, Thursday, July 25, 2015. I was not, and have not, to date, ever been contacted by Terminix. I am extremely concerned for other consumers who are as trusting as me. They are a complete sham of a company. If they do not have the benefit of cameras, I am sure this is a rampant method in which Terminix conducts business regularly to unsuspecting suckers.
I have all the documentation, phone bills, bank statement, and witnesses who were visiting my house using the swimming pool all day. All support everything I just explained, as well as the footage from my security cameras, which run 24 hours a day and record (worth every penny)!! I want this employee exposed and terminated. I want my complaint listed on ConsumerAffairs Terminix profile so other customers know... BEWARE... and STAY AWAY! Thank you for reading my lengthy complaint.

Each of my appointments with Terminix, with the exception of one has not went as planned. The inspection appt scheduled had to be rescheduled due to them not assigning my appt to anyone, lost work time. Extermination appt was fine. Follow-up appt had to be rescheduled because they assigned it to someone that has been fired, lost more work time. Called to have a follow-up extermination appt yesterday, the rep had to email the local manager because no one answered. Called today and they have scheduled an appt for next week and no one bothered to call me to see if that fit my schedule. If I'm paying $850 for an extermination, I should get better customer service than this!

Customer service can make all the difference. Our local rep ** has been GREAT but when I called the 1-800 # about an appointment question the customer service lady was so rude, refused to give me her last name or allow me to talk to a manager. All she needed to do was transfer me and she could not do that with an argument. I had to hang up and call back to get another rep. The 2nd person was great but I will think twice before recommending this company to anyone. We will see how the repairs go.

Terminix is quite possibly the biggest rip off I've had in 5+ years of home maintenance services. Not only did I pay $3000 for attic insulation and exclusion, as well as $750 for Gutter Guarding, I pay $90 every quarter for their pest control service. I am sickened by how nobody in their team shows initiative to respond to customer complaints, as their exclusion service is a complete joke. I am still having rodents in my attics, even though the exclusion work should have sealed up all the entry points a year ago! I've been reassured time after time that someone will come to my home to fix the work, yet I've been met with empty promises. I would really love to rid myself of this mistake and get my money back for the exclusion service. I do not recommend their company to any hard working American who values his/her paycheck.

We ordered service that cost $800.00. Never worked. It seemed to me, the treatments are watered down. We even had them come out again and fought to get them here for free. They wanted to charge us again. The service was horrible. Not on time. Lying about what was actually here. Then the treatments never worked. Still have the bugs.

Like a frog in boiling water, I didn't realize how far they had slipped until too late. Their service has eroded over the years, while the bill still comes due right on time. At least their billing dept. works right, too bad their scheduling dept. is a dysfunctional mess. See, you don't call and set up an appointment anymore. No sir, you call and they take your info and someone will get RIGHT back with you. Well, when? They don't know since you're in TX and they're in Singapore or wherever. I bet you can tell, no one has gotten back with me. I've spent a week harassing them via emails and calls. I'm a little annoyed because I have to look elsewhere to treat my house, although I'm paid thru Sept. with them. I don't have time to wait for them to eventually get to me, if they ever do. Probably cut my losses and chalk it up as a learning curve. I've blown more money on worse as I have plenty of demons.

I asked for an estimate. I had a guy visit talking bad about other companies. I didn't think that was professional but signed with another rep. I never got a receipt or contract details. I called and asked and eventually got a email from the guy with the attachment nothing else, no other explanation. I had emailed him to ask why the stakes were drilled into my obviously newly dug flower beds when there was plenty of room all around them within inches (they just put them smack in the middle).
The supervisor that I spoke to had a attitude and was rude to me and stated I would never be happy. I asked for them to be taken out and to make sure I was there. He promised they would call when they could come around. The very NEXT morning they came, made a MESS and took them out without telling me. I am so angry at the damage. I also confirmed with him that Terminix DOESN'T guarantee fixing any damage like they portray. If their products don't work, it's assessed on a individual basis. So if you look at reviews you will find they never paid people for damage and half the time they never showed up to treat. Pls BEWARE.

My grandparents just had their house tented for termites. Upon returning home we noticed that the house was completely ransacked. Priceless and irreplaceable family heirlooms were stolen. My grandparents were told that the house would be locked. The crazy part is that their house has bars on all of the windows which could only be unlock from the inside. This is something that they nor anyone else for that matter use have to endure this! Anyone who considering using Terminix, please reconsider....

Terminix purchased the pest control service that I had been very happy with. I allowed them to do the first treatment but the results were so poor that I would not let them treat again. I was told the product they use kills spiders but does not continue to kill new spiders. My previous company had a superior product. Two days after the treatment my patio and roses were overrun with spider mites. I canceled the service explaining the issue yet they still billed me for an ineffective service. They guarantee a refund if you are not satisfied. So why the bill? I called to dispute it a second time but still they say I have to pay. I think that makes them dishonest about the Guarantee which is the only reason I let them treat in the first place. Another company that is too big to care!

was called, 1-800-terminix and I told the phone person my contract number and all other information needed for someone to come out and fix the bait units. No one came out.
Now rather than go on with this story and my experience with this company, I took many photos and images including a video of the bait stations, then called again on May 15, 2015. A technician from the local office came out, saw the problem, checked the baiting units "but" did not have a tool/digger to reset the stations but said he would do a work order. Today, June 25, 2015 no one came out but since my contract is up for renewal the end of June, they want to come out for a check of $387.96 and they will inspect my house???
I had it, they need to refund my past money and apology for their lack of concern and guarantee me in writing that if I have termite damage they will repair/pay for the damage since they failed to honor their contract. Note: I have called for a regional supervisor several times and have yet to hear from anyone. I have 2 bait stations inside a plastic bag after the last tech. told me to hold onto them and someone will replace them in the ground.

I was a new customer, paid for services upfront. The company scheduled someone to come out for service the next afternoon... they never showed and no phone calls. I called to see what happened, was on hold for 13 minutes before someone else came on the line and it was explained that there were no reps to come out that day, being nice I rescheduled for the next morning. I get a call mid morning that they had over scheduled and no one could come out. I decided to give one more chance and made arrangements for someone to be at my house, so I called them back, this time 16 minutes on hold, to reschedule.
This morning they called to tell me that they were coming, and would I be there to sign the agreement. No, I work so I can own the home you're coming to service... and had a friend staying to let them in since I can't take off more time. None of this was discussed when I was asking questions about what to expect and what was needed when I set up the account... and I asked MANY questions. I called six different companies to compare pricing and services offered.
The department that schedules the appointments does not actually work with the reps that go out or their schedules. Before someone thinks, 'oh, well if you call the 800 numbers it takes time to get information through the system to the branch offices...' I was dealing with the local offices after the initial incident. Perhaps others will have better experiences, but the local office I was working with and the timing were not a pleasant experience. The rep I spoke with this morning told me I needed to call back to the office to let them know I would be going with another company. I had to chuckle at this given the lack of service. I was done being on hold and waiting on others when I was the one paying for services. I let him know he needed to have the office call me to discuss my complete refund within 24-hours.
Again, perhaps others in other locations will have better experiences, but I cannot recommend them to anyone at this time. Their lack of internal coordination, communication and personnel issues had become my issues. I do wish others a better experience... besides Terminix keeps other companies competitive in pricing and if I can get... well at this point, ANY sort of service elsewhere at the same price, that would be worth other folks keeping Terminix in business!

My daughter had agreed/paid for a contract with Terminix. They came to house to get rid of fleas. They did her entire house which required her to leave her home for many hours. Less than a month later she and her son were severely bitten by fleas. She called company on a Sunday, she was informed that someone would come to her house the next day. Next day no one arrived. She called them again, they said they could not come until Wednesday. She asked some to come to her home to allow them in property because she could not take off work. That person had to take an hour of their time riding public transportation to open house for the service call, no one from Terminix showed up.
My daughter called them back during her lunch break to get an explanation and she was informed that she never had a scheduled appointment, this is 4 days later (Sunday-Wednesday). Now she is being told that she have to wait 2 more days to get service that she paid over $200 for and should have been services right the first time. Now, the fact that she could not stay in her home the entire time because she have a 4yr old child is totally unacceptable for a widely known company that have been around for many years. No one from Terminix is taking into consideration that she may not have anywhere to stay for shelter while she wait for the lacks of professionalism of this company. In addition to her having to succumb to $200 worth of fleas in her basement she also wasn't able to get her lights turned back on. If it wasn't for her going in basement to do so she would have never known they were in the basement until they would start biting her son.
Someone from customer service gives her a phone number to contact their corporate office because they're supposedly hadn't any managers available. I did explain to her not to accept their given number, to locate it herself. I know there are many other avenues she can take to resolve her issue, which is a major issue, but she would like to return to her home immediately. She do have somewhere to stay for shelter but supposedly she didn't. I'm truly hoping this problem will be resolved immediately, as they should have done so the first time.

We have work being done in our kitchen. Our contractor noticed termites and ant damage and hundreds of bugs. Called Terminix NOW 3 times and no call back. No service person out to visit. Window must be replaced before we can continue with kitchen remodel and we don't dare replace window because the bugs will move elsewhere. We have had Terminix for several years and this is a huge slap in the face to a long time customer. We need this addressed ASAP. Holding up our contractors and costing us money each day. We need this window replaced and the bug problem remedied immediately.

I called Friday to make arrangements to get a termite report for a home closing. They told me that they would be here the following Wednesday between 10-12. At 12:30 on Wednesday they were not here. I called and went through numerous put on hold and transfers until I finally got someone who ho hum around and said "Let me talk to my region's office". Then she came back to tell me a technician would call. I told her "That is OK, I will find someone else". She then says the technician was behind but would call and get back with me. I did get a call from the technician who said that he had just heard about the order and that he would not be able to get here until the next day between 3-5. I told him I would call him back. I obviously did not. They have some issue with getting orders out. I can and did called another company to get my report.

About a year ago, there were a couple wooden posts in front of the house that Terminix replaced due to termite damage. Unfortunately, one of the replaced post cut and sheared at an angle is a hazard and an eyesore that I have been asking Terminix to replace since 6 months ago. They sent a supervisor to examine the post and he agrees that the post should be replaced. I still haven't heard from them since despite many follow-up calls.

Hired Terminix last Spring to treat an I infestation in my home. It is now Summer & I'm still at ground zero! They say a service tech. will be here on a certain day & time - no one shows up. And when I call they say "we didn't have you on the schedule", so trying for days to get a re-schedule - is ONLY futile!!! Don't waste your MONEY!!! A most powerful learning curve & costly!

In April work was paid in advance for 2 years. I was told work was completed, but till this day I have not received document, or work completed certificate. I have call sales rep, sales manager, district manager, executive offices, and no one has returned my calls, or most importantly provided proof that the work was completed. We purchased a home and assumed the existing Terminix contact which is in-place thru Jan 2016. We had scheduled an inspection for treatment (as we can see termite wings in the house) 3x and all three times no one showed up. Each time they gave us a 2-hour window and we waited at the house. We have spent 6 hours waiting and no one shows up, and have placed multiple phone calls. And every time we call we get the run-around from them and the person on the phone just schedules another appointment which will require us to be there during a 2-hour window. We had also asked and instructed them each time we call, to transfer the account into our name, and yet after multiple calls, the person who answers the phone tells us the account is still in the previous homeowner's name. This situation has consumed at least 10 hours of our time and caused much distress as there is visible problem and we cannot get anyone at Terminix to help us.

Terminix has been seriously problematic. They blocked squirrels in with mesh, didn't professionally trap and transport them. Used likely expired Indian meal moth traps which are not working. They should use SAFER traps, so we had to go out and buy our own. Incorrect traps for carpet beetles. Painful to deal with staff, you have to call their corporate headquarters to get them to actually respond. Incredibly expensive for shoddy service and terrible customer service.

Called to set appointment more than a week ago. Agreed on annual service contract and provided credit card. They set an appointment with a two-hour window to arrive this morning... After the time window expired, I called to see when they would arrive. Rep said they would get right back to me with an answer. They never called. Several hours later, I called again. I sat on hold twice for a total of nearly 30 minutes... Explanation was that employees had quit -- no one bothered to let me know. I guess they preferred that I just sit...and wait... I don't know how a service company can keep its doors open with this kind of "service". Needless to say, I'm done with them.

Your resolution department gave me a lower price, $257.80, for a two-year contract renewal, after I called to say the statement I had just received, with the renewal price of $331.50, seemed too high. I asked for another statement showing/documenting the new $257.80 cost, so I could pay, and stay covered, after so many years of continuing coverage. No revised statement came. I kept calling, telling the Terminix rep. that I needed the documentation, so I could pay the premium and stay covered. Nothing ever was sent and my renew time was running out. I kept watching the mail, for the revised statement, and I called again and again, about every two weeks.
After my seventh or eighth call/request for my two year renewal, revised, price quote statement, I am begin to wonder if someone at Terminix does not want me to stay covered. Well, I am certainly discouraged. The ladies I spoke to, each time, promised to send me a revised statement soon so I would stay covered. By the way, my Terminix pest control service is excellent and I am very happy with it.

First appointment to start service tech did not do what was scheduled. When we called to reschedule to have it done properly I was informed no appointments were available for 3 weeks. Two appointments scheduled after with no one showing up. Customer service was rude and hung up several times after I was placed on hold for very long periods. A supervisor has yet to respond to any emails that were sent to them regarding the issues.
Updated on 12/15/2015: Here I am six months down the road from the previous incident which by the way was resolved after hours and hours and dead end conversation with customer service. When left with no choice but to contact BBB which is how it was finally handled, they did refund my money and I finally was able to cancel the service that we had for no more than the month of June 2015. I thought my nightmare was over. We are in December 2015 and my bank account was charged with a fee of 108.00 for services. We however have not had services since the BBB was able to help us cancel and get our money back. Again I call customer service to no avail. Same old story "someone who can help you will get back with you in 24-48 hours". No call back. I had to contact the BBB once again. They did not have my permission to charge my account. They just held onto my personal bank account and routing # and charged it.
The only information I got from customer service when I question them and explained I have not had any service with them, they stated it was showing for June which is the month I started service and paid for it, and is the amount that was refunded. So I don't understand how they can bill me for a service I paid for and I got refunded. Not mention it's been 6 months. So why if I owed this money did they wait so long? Which I actually don't owe because it was refunded to me. I'm so frustrated with this company and the way they do business. There was a time that they offered better customer care and services. Very disappointed with them and I hope this gets fixed without the amount of stress it took to have the last issue handled.
My bank says they blocked any future charges from them as I have the letter from them when I canceled and stating the refund for June 2015. But she says they have had issues as well and it is common for them to try and continue to withdraw funds using other sources. So I have to check my bank account several times a day to make sure they don't try it again.

The first person that came out while I was at work tried scaring my wife and saying we had mice nests all throughout the house (we had never had a mouse until the brutal winter we just had). I agree to the treatment, he told her they are nesting in the installation so she freaks. I tell her, "Ok, we can replace it." He then calls me, I tell him I'm only doing it to calm her nerves. I tell him to add the crawl space under new addition, he goes checks it out and tries to tell me I have termites. I bought house 2 years ago and they had that issue taken care of and I had it inspected. He says, "Oh ok. Really?" I know I should have cancelled everything right there. We agree on $4,300 for pest control and encapsulated insulation in attic and crawl space. He says they will contact me. 2 and a half weeks later, I am woken up by my dog barking at 8:30 AM, 3 Terminix guys are outside. They say someone left you a message on a cellphone last week. I never got a message!
Guy who seemed to be in charge was a real **. I agree to let them come out 2 weeks from that date thinking I would be home. Work didn't allow me to be at home so again my wife was there and she had to ask them to look at multiple areas where we had seen mice as guy just patched some areas outside and wasn't about to do anything else. $900 to patch 2 holes and out down 1 glue trap? Then they did an awful job installing "fiberglass encapsulated insulation". Oh wait, they didn't install what first guy that came out for quote said they would. He told me we will take old fiberglass encapsulated and replace with new fiberglass encapsulated!! They put TAP insulation in my attic which I never would of agreed to. It's basically like shredded insulation thrown over your wood in the attic and they put encapsulated insulation in crawl space but it was poorly secured and I could see tears in it that same night.
They left insulation particles all over crawl space and left trash bags on ground in back yard. I have sent 2 emails with no response and was on hold for 127 mins before I hung up. It's my fault for hiring them but I am writing this so nobody else will give them their money!!! Poor communication, shoddy work, shady assessment, and horrible customer service!!!

I just used them to treat bed bugs. From consultant to treatment to follow-up, Terminix was probably the worst experience I ever had. They were late by 2 hours (they said traffic); then once here, did a so-so job freezing (they clearly wanted to leave and spilled chemicals in the hallway); customer service was also horrible helping me when the technicians were late. Having a pregnant wife, I am still very concerned they left chemicals behind. They did not handle the chemicals well and they washed off in the kitchen! I am thoroughly disappointed and strongly urge folks to use another vendor.

The service has been excellent. We have service for dry wood and subterranean termites, general pest control and mosquito control. We had terrible problems with roaches, ants, and mosquito, but with the Terminix service, all those problems went away.

We rate your field personnel and their service highly. However, we recently had unauthorized activity on our credit card causing us to cancel and replace it. The cancelled card was being used to pay your invoices. Your office/collection personnel called and caused me to suspect that they thought we were trying to avoid paying our account. This made me angry and I cancelled your services.

Been using company out of Summerville for last 6 years. Very pleased. I use them for inside pest control as well as termite control. ** is very professional and explains what he is spraying when I ask. He answers all my concerns if I have any. He is careful where he sprays because I have small grandchildren. Would recommend highly.

Terminix charged us for a service that was scheduled but could not have occurred. The seasonal house was surrounded by 5' snow drifts and inaccessible. Yet we still were charged for this regularly scheduled visit. Worse yet: The Customer Service department performed horribly. They initially answer the phone quickly. When they realized you had a problem you get connected with "management" to credit the visit that did not occur back to the account. Yet every time I was on hold for such an extended period of time that I hung up.
Meanwhile I continue to receive collection calls. When I told the person calling that the visit was supposed to have been credited she simply hung up. Calling back CS to get this straightened out, same process: Quick answer, then on hold, eventually I hung up. Now I wrote them a formal letter. I hope this will finally solve the problem - but what a nightmare. I cannot recommend TERMINIX and will never use their services again.

Back in September 2014, we had Terminix tent the house. We paid over $3,000 for this service and it was a guaranteed to get rid of the bed bugs. The tenting did not work, we called them within the 30 days to report the tenting was unsuccessful. They sent out an inspector. He spent 5 minutes here he lifted a pillow and said we didn't have them then. He called us a liar and left. Then we had to wait to catch some of them to have evidence. Bed bugs hide during the day, they only come out at night while we're sleeping to feed. This is why it took so long to get evidence. Now we called them back with evidence so they sent out **, a different inspector. He was going to call his supervisor and told us someone will get back with us. No one called. We have called many many many times each time they say they will get back with their supervisor and get back with us. This never happens.
We have two babies in the house that are getting bitten up as well as an elderly handicap grandmother. We constantly are called liars. The problem is escalating rapidly. Terminix is suppose to be a reputable company but all we're getting are lies and a run around. They told us they will not help us no matter what we do so please help us solve this matter.

Notified of service calls well in advance. Service personnel arrive as scheduled. If they are going to be late, they call to notify us of the delay. Service personnel are knowledgeable. Service personnel are courteous.
