    The Terminix technician, Randall, is great. He's absolutely wonderful and I like him because he took his time and did stuff the other guys don't do. The last couple of times, he's been here to spray for the bugs and lately, the reps have been calling us and saying they're on their way the next day or so.     We purchased a new home and shopped for a bug guy. Terminix was in the neighborhood and their pricing model was good so we decided to use them. The gentleman came over for the initial visit and told us about everything. He did the initial inspection to make sure we knew what we were dealing with and had a sprayer come the same time to do his first perimeter spray and an indoor spray. Needless to say, scheduling a service has been pleasant. I spoke to somebody and they arranged everything. The appointment took place when they told us and for the price they told us.

    The Terminix people were organized, nice, friendly and answered all my questions. Compared to another competitor that I called, I felt that I wasn't a priority. Often, I heard people in the background making lunch plans, rep put me on hold and wasn't focused. As a result, the rep asked me the same questions several times. Based on that experience, I chose Terminix over that company and since then, I've had no pests at all.

    I’ve had pest activity years ago and I’ve always had the pest control to keep that from happening. Since I’ve been using Terminix, I haven’t had a problem.     I use Terminix to spray and they do a good job on it. They call every three months when they're going to come. Their guy tells me what he's going to do when he comes and sprays mostly outside and in the rooms. Sometimes, they come and inspect, too. Since I’ve been receiving their services, I don’t have ants anymore. I used to see signs of these quite often but not so much now, maybe only once or twice in a year. I'm satisfied.

    We've used Terminix since we moved in our house 26 years ago. My experience with them has been very friendly and kind. They've always been on time and I've never had a problem. I have called every service Terminix has and I don't have any pest activity since. My son bought himself a new home and asked us who we used for our extermination and we said Terminix. My son called Terminix for an estimate and made it very clear that he was calling for an estimate. The rep gave him an estimate and about a week later that Terminix rep called my son. My son said that he has chosen to go with a different firm then this rep lashed into him with four letter words and all that kind of stuff. Incredibly, I am so upset about it that I'm very seriously thinking of stopping my Terminix service. I've never been treated that way but I might be the next one. I'm not real happy about my son's experience with them.

    Terminix comes out every three months. I'm usually not around when the technicians come but they've always been really nice. They usually leave a message that they'll be out on an a specific day. If I'm here, the technician will stop, say hello and ask if I have any problems. If I'm not here they just leave the receipt. I don't see many bugs and spiders or anything like that since and it was for carpenter ants. They do have a bait for mice and rats. All in all, everything's fine.

Services have been easy to schedule - I get an email from them then a confirmation via phone message. They've been thorough, communicative and very attentive in keeping me in the loop about when and where. They leave a voicemail afterwards on what they've done and if there were any issues.     Without question, Terminix has reduced the incidence of insects inside my homes, and also reduced the incidence of rodents beneath my home. However, the cost is very high, and training seems inconsistent. At my home in Sammamish, this is especially true. However, on Anderson Island, Pierce County, the tech who is on my route seems to be very well-trained and very caring about my property. I was required to add Termite Inspection 4 years ago, for an additional amount per year of just under $300. This covers one inspection per year, and Western Washington is not known for termites. We do have carpenter ants. Why can this variety of ants not be included in regular insect control and inspection? I have been paying more than $400 per year, per home for Insect Inspection and Control.

    We're on a revolving schedule with Terminix. They email us saying that my service is coming up and then Justin, the technician, will give me a call when he's on his way.     Terminix comes to our home 3-4 times a year. In fact, they were here today. The gentleman today is not our regular guy but he was very respectful. So far everyone we've had has been very respectful, courteous and thorough. They usually only do the outside so I just see them go around and spray. Our lot is almost an acre so there's a lot of trees and bushes. There's a lot of places that bugs can get into, so we had quite a bit of spiders when we first moved in.     I have two Terminix plans. One for bugs and the other one is a termite plan. The technician is a very nice gentleman -- very friendly and helpful. He did a tour of everything inside and outside the house respectfully and then let me know what he's seen and what he's done and gives me the paperwork. Last time, luckily, they didn't find anything. He knows we have a dog and he uses spray that isn't toxic on dogs and make sure I don't take the dog over that area for the next half hour until the step dries.

Every time he comes over, we talk and get updated on our kids. He's very nice. I like having somebody that I know well enough, know a little bit more about them. It builds rapport and trust.     We've had Terminix at this house for 15 years and they're wonderful when they're here when they're supposed to be. However, the gentleman that has been our rep here, who had been with us several years, left the end of last year and since then, Terminix has not been able to find or hire a full-time person to cover our area. So we've had plenty of people coming from other areas to cover it and they're trying the best they can at the present time. It'd be nice to get back to have somebody that knows the place.     I've been using Terminix for several years. They sprayed every three months, and it's always been fine. The technician is always very cordial and willing to spray where I want him to spray. I didn’t have any problem with last time, but there have been a couple of times when they would set me up or that I would get a call saying that they were coming out to spray and then they didn’t show. I think that happened twice, but that’s been old back. I remember recording them coming and then they didn’t, but then I called and they got right on it.

    We've recently had our annual termite inspection and quarterly visit. It's wonderful and we're very pleased with Terminix. We've never had a problem or delay in getting service. The customer service guys are always good. When we first got Terminix, we were in charge of either calling and scheduling appointments, or a rep would call us and ask if a service date would be good. Now, it's automated and I get an email that tells me when they're coming. If that's not a good time, I call them and they reschedule. They're always very gracious to set it up when it's convenient.

    Moreover, they do the best they can to send out the same technician, unless we have an emergency pop up and he's not available right then, so we're familiar with him and he's familiar with our home and surroundings. The technician who has come to our home has always been very friendly and courteous. And if we ever had a problem or needed something handled right away, like when we called and asked them to come for a special visit some weeks ago, they're there within an hour after we call. They're always very prompt and customer service-oriented.

    We’re Winter Texans so when we get down there in Texas, I call the Terminix office before we leave and they send out a gentleman to inspect our home. We haven't had any pest activity but for prevention, they come in, check, and make sure that we don't have any. The service is performed routinely. We don't set it until we arrive down there and when I call them they set a time and a gentleman is usually right on time. If he says 10:30 he's usually within a ten-minute window of that time, so that's nice and we don't have to hang around waiting for them to show up. The guy inspects and looks for any sign of any infestation and he's very professional and courteous.

    I have had the same gentleman for a couple three years, so we know each other and he walks around inside and outside the house and actually looks underneath my house. They're aware we have a crawl space so they have the equipment to do that. Also, they put in coveralls when they get to my place and take them off before they walk inside the house so as not to get the house dirty.

However I find the website really difficult to work my way through to schedule service so I generally call and talk to somebody. Our technician, Chris, does a great job. He's always willing to go the extra mile for us and help take care of things.     The Terminix guy did a thorough job going around the outside looking for spiders and ants during his last visit. He knows what to ask and what to look for. It also seemed like we had a special the week before because he also checked around inside the house and found a problem. We had a jar of almonds with worms by the sink which had eggs and were hatching out. He did something about it and told us what we could do like pour chlorine down in the sink. It's better now. I was glad they thought it was good to make an extra trip like that besides the quarterly trips and didn't charge for it. We've recommended them and our neighbor's on Terminix now.

We were told upon signing for services that there is a 90 day window after our home is cleared that they will come back and treat at no cost. That has since been told to us as being untrue, that it's 90 days from setup of service. Yet they started in July through Dec. at no extra charge but all of a sudden now we need to pay again. The job was NEVER finished... We have been told for over a week now that they will call back in 24 to 48 hours... but I'm the one who ends up calling them after 48 hours.

    Terminix comes out here every few months and checks the property to make sure everything is fine. And I also subscribe with them with mosquito repellant, which has been wonderful and something I’ll do again in the summertime. They come and ask us questions then walk the perimeter. They normally call to schedule their service, and show up when they say they’re gonna show up. We’re new to this area in Michigan since we moved here about two and a half years ago and the pest control out here is new to us, but they've been very good. However, when they called and sold me on this mosquito preventative, about two months later, they called wanting to sell that to me again.     Terminix called me to schedule service and it was extremely easy. They came to my home two weeks ago and my technician was absolutely fantastic. I wasn't there but I knew he was coming. He sprayed all the outside and he also reported to another Terminix division about a couple of places in my house that he perceived critters could get in. Since their service, the pest activity has been resolved. We have no critter problems at present too. Five years ago, we had a rodent problem in the attic, though. Back then, they put sticky traps up there which I thought was part of my service. I was assured it was part of the basic plan.

    However, this other guy that came out said that was just courtesy to put the sticky traps. He also said he saw a little bit of recent rodent activity up in the attic, although we haven't heard anything. I thought they would immediately make an appointment to put the traps in the attic, but they were just interested in getting one of those Terminix subdivision contractors out here to make a few bucks on plugging up these so-called holes. I haven't heard back from them on the sticky traps yet. Overall, I'm very pleased with Terminix, but everybody ought to get on the same page.

    It’s worth the money having Terminix and it took a lot to get me to agree to spend that much. We tried it and we like it. They schedule the service for us and if we don't like it, we'd call them up and change it. The technicians they send were very personable, knowledgeable, don’t mess up the house, have good manners and speak well. My wife doesn’t like having ants in the house and we don’t have it anymore. Lately, we had some mouse problems, with them getting into things like stuff we have in storage. They set traps and took away the ones that have mice in them and so we don’t have that problem. The carpenter bees have also pretty much ended. If they return, we'd call them up and they'd send somebody over right away to give them another treatment.     I'm signed up with Terminix for the exclusion service. For the past two weeks, they have been coming on Fridays and the appointment I want is 3:00 to 5:00. So Friday before last, when the gentleman left, I confirmed that he would be back this past Friday in that window and he said, "Yes". But when I got home on Friday afternoon, because I'm off work early to be able to be there at 3:00, by 4:30 he had not come. I called Terminix, because he's usually already there by then, and found out that the appointment had been changed from 1:00 to 4:00, although nobody bothered to tell me about the change, and he had been there at 2:20. So, I didn't like that at all.

    I wanted them to come out that day because last Friday when the technician was here, he put three cages up to trap a squirrel and I wanted them to check the traps to make sure if they indeed had a squirrel. If they did and the squirrel dies, I didn't want it to be stinking at my house. But, so far, nobody's been there to check the traps.

    When I called, the rep said she couldn't get anybody from the exclusion department to come out but could send somebody from pest control this morning. When the technician came and found out what he was supposed to do, he said that he didn't do that and that he didn't know why they scheduled him to come out for that. He couldn't even go up and look because he was using a different truck and didn't have a ladder because the traps are up in the attic. So, that was a waste of trip for him. I called again this morning and the lady told me they'll have somebody call me at 11:00. So we'll see. However, I'm sure this little mishap is not their normal way of doing business.

    Terminix sprayed my yard and my house for fleas and roaches. They came twice. The first time, I was in the house when he sprayed the inside and when he fogged it up and sprayed in the yard. He also put a mouse trap, a little sticky stuff for the mouse because when he moved the stove, he did find mouse droppings. I've had the traps since and they have not caught anything. A couple of days later, it was my son's birthday and I had a little get together here inside the house with my family and they said they felt bites on them. The technician that came said there was no pest activity but I showed him the dead ants that I had.

    Before I called Terminix again, I had fogged the house myself twice. First without anything in here and then the second time with my stuff in here. So after that, I recorded and took pictures of the ants and roaches that were still coming out. I called back to Terminix and they told me that they'd come back at no charge because of the fact that I was still feeling and seeing insects.

    When they came the second time, I didn't get to meet their technician for the reason that I was at school with my children. They're disabled so I couldn't leave the school and come to the house. The technician went ahead and sprayed the yard. Since then, we have not felt any fleas. But the ants are still a problem here. I talked to the owner of the house about the issue and he said he was going to get that problem fixed and they would be the ones doing that. So I had to let Terminix go because I keep paying so much money out of my pocket. But I have been talking to people about Terminix and I told them that it would be every two months and they will get rid of everything.

    I cancelled one of my programs for Powderpost beetles. I was paying money every time they come out for nothing. The guy comes out with a flashlight and shines the flashlight around. I can shine a flashlight around a hell of alot cheaper than $400. He doesn't put the treatment or anything. I called Terminix and I asked them what was the purpose of this. They said, "Well, that's to renew the program". I said, "What the hell do you mean program? You ain't doing anything". "I'm the one that noticed the Powderpost beetles in the first place when the tech initially came out and treated it." Then after that, I keep getting a bill. That I think is some kind of racket, so I told them to cancel it. I was dissatisfied with that experience. There might be other outfits out there a little better. There was some disparity between the fellow that was supposed to do our area and the fellow that did our area. However he was telling us about installing insulation and little air vents for the cross base where they automatically close during freezing. We had a termite person out of cycle to come out and check us out and give information on how to prevent and what to do to help. Our regular person that comes out set that up for us so he's really good about that.     The tech from Terminix always does the outside and then the inside when I really need it. He uses organic chemicals as well as the regular kind, and I haven't had a problem. I do scheduling directly with him because the company will just call me and give me a schedule, and I can't always plan my life around Terminix. They're difficult to get a hold of sometimes, so I deal with the tech in changing the schedule and he's really good about that. I also have another property where he's taking care of a mouse problem, but that problem seems to be resolved.

    The technician that comes out to my house is great. He's always on time. I go to work early so he tries to put me as the first person on his list. I also don't have a problem with scheduling a service even if I have to change time sometimes. I get a call from the tech a day or so before to remind me of my appointment.     My daughter was having such a bad problem in New York with roaches so I searched the internet and found Terminix. Scheduling the service was a little bit confusing on the 1-800-number. It would be nice if they could get an account number and have a little bit clearer input on how to proceed. They just send out an email about the monthly scheduling and I'm supposed to be aware that they're coming.

    On a good note, when I do work with them and I get hold of the service person who's going to come, they're very flexible and give me their number. They're great but a little overwhelming from the outside. The technicians have been very professional and helpful with lots of suggestions. They take any time that I have for questions and also take our dog into consideration. We've been really pleased and impressed and have recommended them to fellow New Yorkers that my daughter hangs out with.

    After about one month, the pest activity has been almost zero. They talk with us to give us a lot of instruction on general activity and maintenance that we need to do within our home. I do agree one should sign up and do it monthly when they live in an apartment building because they come from the neighbors. So they have to take care of their own space, too. They only take care of the public spaces in these buildings but couldn't in the older ones. So one would need the extra help.

    I was having a problem with rodents in my house. I saw Terminix in the community and they were the only insect control company that came to Anderson Island down in the Tacoma area at that time. I figured they're a good pest control company and knew what they were doing. However, scheduling a service with them is confusing. I get a number of emails and they don't necessarily line up. I use them for my two homes located in the Pacific Northwest and the Seattle-Tacoma area. I had the insect and rodents coverage for quite a few years, then they presented me with an offer to check and replace my insulation. The information also included that I had to have coverage for termite inspection for three years afterwards in order for my warranty on the insulation to be any good.

    My house in Sammamish in King County was old enough that I felt that it was appropriate to have that checked. So a gentleman came out, Rick **, and he assessed my house that it needed to be replaced. So I went ahead with that and also took out termite inspection to both houses, even though only one house was replaced with the insulation. I trusted them, but I come to find out later that it was actually insect control which was needed for the warranty on my insulation and I already had that for more than 10 years.

    Also, I began to question a month ago some issues with appointments and with honesty and integrity on the part of one of the inspectors for the insect control. I had back to back appointments in one day in January, one for insect inspection (1 pm to 3 pm) and somebody was supposed to come for termite inspection (3 pm to 5 pm). I've been buying separate contracts for two houses for about five years for these inspections.

    The fellow that came to my house in Sammamish, on that day in the earlier window, did insect inspection. I asked him if he would mind going under the house to check for any insects and rodents because I had been told previously that if the termite people came and they're under the house and see dead rodents, they won't pick them up because that's not their job. It's insect people's job. That makes no sense to me. They come at different times and I don't want dead anything under my house. I was not happy about that.

    It requires work on my part to empty a closet out and pull a carpet up in the trapdoor for them to get under the house. I had everything ready for him to go under but he wasn't prepared. He didn't have a suit to put on over his working clothes and all he had were the booties to go over his feet. So he looked at me with dismay and said he would go under. So he did and he was under for only a few minutes. Not long enough to canvass the whole underneath my house. I have a one-level house and it's 2,500 square feet.

    I had told him that if there was anything under there like any dead rodents, to please bag them and get them out of there. So he comes back out, doesn't say a word about seeing anything or picking anything up. As he was leaving, after he'd done the exterior of the house, I asked him if he had found anything underneath my house and he said he found one. And I said, "Well, did you bag it and take it out?". He fumbled a little bit and then said, "Yes," and I felt like he was lying. I didn't ask to see it when he came out under the house because he wouldn't have been able to produce it or not. It was my fault I did not ask him to prove it, but I felt I've never not trusted them before. So it went by me.

    At 5:15 pm, I still haven't seen this termite person so I called Terminix and they said, "Oh, well, that was when James did that termite inspection when he was there to do the insect inspection". I told them what happened, so I said, "I don't think so". They transferred me to the manager and the manager was very defensive from the get-go and became very rude to me. Finally I said, "I'm done here!". One man hung up on me from the main office near where I live. He became very belligerent with me and tried to tell me that they've been cross-trained now so that whoever does insect control can also do inspection for termites.

    Termite people come out once a year to each house and I pay almost $300 for that visit, per house for one year. I pay over $400 for four visits for insect control for each house. So that's quite a bit of money. Rick ** called me back a few days later and talked to me about it. Then he said, "I'm not at the office. I'll call you back". I've never hear a word from them in a month and a half. Now I am beginning an active search for another company. However, in terms of the people that come to my house here in Anderson Island, the service has been great and I've had no issues.

    I had no problem in scheduling our service with Terminix. They worked with me and they came out on the scheduled date. Sometimes, they called and made sure that I remember they're coming out.     The scheduling process was easy, except they kept wanting to make my appointments during the week and I told them I'm not home during the week. I don't know if that’s their fault or if it's a computer issue. But every time I call, it takes like a second to fix it. Other than that, I've never had an issue with them. Usually, we don’t have a problem once they come out and spray. Pest activity is slim to none, unless we got a lot of rain and that’s not their fault because it's raining.

    Terminix comes every two months and they usually call on a Monday to tell me they're coming on a Friday. They come on time and it works out fine. The tech was very nice and personable, very easy to talk to and professional. He asks if we've had any internal problems, checks for a few minutes, and treats outside before leaving. He does his job quickly and always checks to make sure the previous visit was okay. We only had pests one time back in late fall. We called Terminix then, and they came and treated right away.
