    Terminix comes to inspect the house for the termite inspection and they follow-up every year. They usually send an email saying they're gonna be in the area in such a time and to let them know if I'm not gonna be here. Then, the guy calls right before he comes saying he's on his way and it's done. The technician was very friendly and he's a very nice young gentleman. He comes in, checks, gives the receipt and that is the end of it. I have no termites and I'm fine.

    My husband died six years ago and right after he passed away, I had bed bugs. I called, they came, checked and sprayed. They also made me take things out of the closet and off the bed but got nothing accomplished. I called them back and got the runaround. Later on in the year, I had to call another company who came and got rid of the bed bugs. My experience with bed bugs and Terminix was awful but I had the termites ten years ago and they came and took care of the termites. I haven't seen one since. They're pretty good with the termite stuff. The company that took care of the bed bugs wanted to take the termite contract but I said that I've had it so long with Terminix. I left it the way it is because they already know and they're coming and inspect. It's a good experience overall.

    I’m in the Midwest and with Texas behind me there’s always unincorporated land and periodically I would see tree roaches. I saw one next to my bed and that’s where I threw down the gauntlet. They might end up in my bed. They are ugly and they fly! Terminix came out and the technician did a wonderful job. And he explained to me what a tree roach was. He said that that was not normally his territory and he was there because the guy that normally comes on a Saturday could not be there. So I’m bummed that the same person isn’t coming out next time.

    Since the service I hadn’t been seeing any roach but just recently, before the rain, I started seeing a few that were dying as soon as they came in. They were on their back and half dead but they never die so I’d have to get the Raid and spray them. It hasn’t been a lot but seeing one was enough to make me call back. I was in traffic when I remembered I wanted to call them but I couldn’t find my customer number. But I was pleasantly surprised because as soon as I called in, the system recognized my phone number and pulled up my customer number. I guess the software is set up that way. It was very easy and pretty slick. So someone’s coming out tomorrow to do a little extra spraying. Overall, Terminix is great and it's the best $79 I've ever spent.

    Terminix comes every month or quarter. They send me an email saying when they are going to come. When I get home, they've been there and left the bill, and that was it. Talking to their technician has been great. It's been four years since I signed up and I have less pests other than the ants we get during a certain time of the year that seems like everybody in Silver Lake gets. But there hasn't been a problem recently.

    We had ants in the pantry and we couldn't get rid of them. Every now and then, we had to call Terminix because the ants kept coming. I work with their representative Chuck. He's knowledgeable and very professional, so he had good suggestions. With Chuck, the problem with the ants was taken care of. Terminix sprayed outside to keep any more from coming. Chuck said that we may see a few more ants but those were the ones that were already there. Still, we had some ants in our upstairs bathroom last night. We haven't seen any more ants since then so what we saw may have been the last of them.

    Terminix comes here every three months and I'm satisfied without a doubt. They always come on time and I call them whenever I need them. And they always answer if I have a question. I love their technician. He's wonderful and has a good sense of humor. I have a good relationship with him. He don't mind answering my question if I have any. I had a question about the chemical he was using on the inside of my house and he explained all that to me and said that it wouldn't hurt my grandbabies or pets. The last time he was here, he was spraying around the house and told me about some hornets. And he also sprayed on them. I didn't know a hornet's nest was even in the air conditioner and I appreciate that he brought that to my attention. It was a wonderful experience and I'll recommend Terminix to anybody.

    The first time Terminix came into my house, it was fine. However, the second time, they sprayed and killed my plants. I talked to them when I called to make my appointment and they said they were going to do something about it. Yet, their representatives haven't called me back yet. Also, the man I spoke with from Terminix was smart-mouthed. When Terminix came in, there was limited pest activity but they said there was a breathing risk and they made us leave for three hours. After their service, the problem with the pests has been better, though.

    My experience began on last Monday when I called to get an "Expert" out and they scheduled an appointment. The Technician also serves my neighbors next door. Well they set me an appointment for Wednesday. Wednesday comes around. They didn't show however I did see them at my neighbor's house. The technician calls to reschedule 5 days further out. At which point I was understanding the stuff happens but then they called me a second time to Reschedule again but this time 6 days out. So basically I wasted two weeks waiting on someone who couldn't have the professional courtesy to fulfill their end of the agreement but they sure didn't mind taking my CC info and personal info: normally not one to write bad reviews but when you have pests and children it's kind of a serious thing to a parent. Wouldn't recommend allowing these people or anyone for that matter push you around!!

    I had a termite contract with another company and they went out of business. I surveyed a bunch of companies and narrowed it down to Terminix because of the price, company name and services. I’ve been with them for 15 years. Scheduling with them was a positive experience. They scheduled an appointment which is an automatic service and it wasn’t a good date, so I talked to somebody and changed it. Sometimes I’ll do the transactions online or I’ll make a direct call. Their representatives and technicians are very thorough, explained any questions I had and were polite and courteous. In my most recent service, their employee came and did his work, was very responsible, checked everything and I was very satisfied. Terminix has been helpful all in all.

    Unfortunately, we contracted bedbugs from somewhere and it was a bit of a nightmare. I Googled Terminix and I got a 1-800 number which I called and they set me up with an evaluation for the same day. The fellow came out and did the evaluation and then gave me his cell phone number and so every time I needed to schedule a reappointment, I was able to do it via text message which made life so much easier.

    They treated inside the walls, around all of the baseboards and the bed frames. They would come out and do several different types of chemicals. Then they just repeated treatment as necessary. We started out every two weeks to every three weeks to every four weeks, then it was once a month. We’ve been doing this since last August. It took almost a full nine months to get rid of the bedbugs completely but we’re doing better now. It was challenging but I always felt safe and secure having the Terminix guys in my home. We’re Facebook friends now. That’s how wonderful they were. Everybody has been so pleasant, professional and fantastic. Since our last service, no one has received any new bites.

    It all started December of 2016, with the discovery of a soft spot in the flooring of my two story residential office. With the discovery we made contact with the local Terminix office in Mobile Al. Sure enough, Terminix declared that there was an active infestation and additionally significant damage to the outside wall and floor joists. He then said it would be best that we could close that part of our house off until the repairs have been made. He then made a call to his branch manager to make him aware of the infestation and damages he observed. So far, I am extremely satisfied that this infestation and damages occurred by the termites would be resolved and we would be made whole again.

    Beyond this point is where dissatisfaction starts and still undoing. We felt like, we had leprosy outcast. After initial around the middle of January 2017, a Terminix employee completed treatment to kill off the infestation, communication were minimal and at times none. The poor girls answering the phones, they tried to help us, but it wasn't their sympathy we were looking for.

    Finally, a subcontractor that Terminix called upon came to visit the damages, and offer a quote and scope of work to the Branch Manager. Then there was no communications for about 4 to 6 weeks. Finally, the branch manager said there was a third party estimator was coming by to review the estimate given by the contractor that Terminix initiated. The estimator then submitted his results back to Terminix, however, a vast difference (not to the good) in repair cost and scope of work.

    Somehow, the estimator neglected to add in for floor joists replacements and other items that damages that needed replacement. This single action, difference in the costs and scope of work furthered delays in resolving our plight. This is now March of 2017. Frustrated, we told the Terminix Branch Manager, that we would seek bids for the repairs. Outside contractors not associated with Terminix placed the damages around 40k to 45k. And the scope of work was identical to those that Terminix contractor.

    April 2017, my wife made contact with the state of Alabama Department of Agriculture and spoke of our issue. They assigned us a caseworker, that caseworker came to our residence and took our complaint and observed the damages. He then wrote up our complaint and submitted to Terminix his requests for additional treatment and requested from them our treatment and repairs history. He also requested the case history of this complaint. It was then that my wife received a very gruffed call from the Branch Manager, mentioning this action by us contacting the State would slow the response to our claim. And I now believe it to be true.

    Still in April, finally it seems a change of heart, Terminix completes the second treatment of an attached substructure and offered a cash settlement. The settlement approximately 25% less than the outside contractors we've contacted, but, we agreed upon the settlement for the less, to simply put this chapter of our lives into the past. We could only figure strategy the whole time. Now it is the Middle of June 2017, that agreed upon cash settlement has yet to be received. Still no contact with the competent persons to resolve our complaint and the poor receptionist are still receiving the tongue lashing from my wife.

    Update: Finally the Regional Manager called. My wife was reprimanded for her frustration. Now, I understandably know that my wife tongue can be sharp, as I have had the pleasures of being on the end of her wrath. Unfortunately, he knew nothing of our case and complaints and will have to respond back to us at a later time.

    Footnote: You may be wondering where have I interjected on behalf of our complaint. I unfortunately, am a contractor whose employment is in other states where my ability to respond is difficult. My wife is unemployed, semi-retired status and is obtainable for contact. I believe by writing this is more for therapy and unfortunately it is also my belief that this will not be resolved by the two parties, as apparent by the communication deficits.

    Scheduling the service with Terminix has been good, but the latest one that I had to schedule sucked. I'm having a lot of bugs lately and there is no time when I can get somebody out until two weeks from when I scheduled something, but normally it's not like that. However, their customer service was nice and their technicians were always great. But, the pest activity varies since the service with them. I have a lot of centipedes all the time and it usually goes down after they spray, but it never goes away.

    There's a disconnect between the local office and the main office or however Terminix is run. They’ll tell you whatever you want to hear on the phone, but as far as the action is concerned there's a big disconnect. Scheduling is a complete nightmare with Terminix. They will send you an email telling you that they are going to come out between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm or whatever date that they choose. If I call them and tell them that I cannot take off work to sit here for 10 hours then they should respond to that. I work for a living so I don’t have the luxury of having nothing at all to do in my life and just to sit and wait for Terminix to come out. I should be taken into consideration.

    There was one occasion that happened last year that I wanted to be home because I had insects inside the house that I wanted to try to take care of with Terminix. I called and rescheduled the appointment but they didn’t do that. They came on the day that they sent the email out. That disconnect is disturbing and it seems like Terminix doesn’t care. They should be more sensitive about people’s time. In this day and age, they certainly have the technology that they can use the same computer system between the local office and the main office.

    Jim, their tech, was great though. He is very amiable and nice. He explains to me what he's doing and talks to me. He’s knowledgeable and responsive but he doesn’t have much control over anything. Anytime that I call him he refers me to the main office. They're nice enough, it's just that Terminix needs to be a little bit more customer friendly. As far as Terminix is concerned, they provide a mediocre service. I chose Terminix because they have been around for years and I thought that I would get a better service than that. I hope that they improve their service.

    Sometimes, it seems that I have more insects than I did before I started getting the service but Terminix has come out and taken care of it. Last year, I had an issue with fleas but I didn’t have any animals. Terminix said that because I have wooden flooring I have to move everything out and have the place tested. They came out and sprayed the house and got rid of it. I like Terminix, Jim is really nice, but I wouldn’t suggest them to anybody else. A friend of mine asked me about Terminix the other day and I told her to go somewhere else.

    Terminix seemed to do a good job as far as inspecting the affected areas. They usually call and I get a follow-up email for the scheduling of the annual inspection. Other than just walking around looking and making sure that the property is free of termites, the technician would explain things as far as what problem areas he could see like if you had termites. Since the service, I have no termite activity and minimal other pests like ants, spiders and wasps.

    The technician told us to call if we saw any ants after two weeks, and they would come. That was the guarantee. We saw ants and I called. I got a recording and I left my name, number, and message, but I got no return call. A few days later, I called again. And since I had already called once and nothing happened, I wanted to speak to someone in their Rhode Island office but I couldn't do that. I can only speak to someone in Kentucky, Tennessee, or some call center they have, which is absurd. I told them I wanted to speak to someone in the office in Rhode Island, and they told me to call this number. I called the number and it was just another number for someone else at that office. I was quite upset at this point and told them so, and they basically said that I was being too rude and they weren't going to talk to me.

    I said I wanted to speak to someone in Rhode Island as that's where I am and that's who did the work, but they couldn't do that, so I just hung up. I was looking for the Better Business Bureau, for Channel 10, or anybody, and finally, the technician called me. He was very pleasant. He told me he heard I was having trouble, but not to worry as he was going to come over. We set a time and date and he showed up, did his job, then told me that if I were to have any more ants after two weeks, he would come back. The technician was a very nice person, but I would never recommend Terminix and would never use them again.

    The staff from Terminix came out, took care of everything, and were very nice when they came. But then, I called two weeks ago because we were still seeing ants and the lady said she would have someone call me back. I told her we were leaving for vacation, so she said she would have the person that normally comes to our house call me back if he had a hole in the schedule. I still haven't heard back from them about the schedule to come out and do another service for us. I wish we had a better callback time. The technician, however, was very friendly. He came in and explained everything he was going to do. He showed me where the problem spots were and ways to help prevent in the future. I would recommend them.

    We have Terminix on a quarterly maintenance plan. It's pretty easy to schedule the service, they’ve always been flexible to my schedule and they're very accommodating. I simply called in and they gave me a time. I've also never had an issue with the response time. We had an ant issue the last time and the technician was very explicit on what he was doing and what he was looking for. He was also describing the chemicals he was using and described them as safe since we have pets and young kids. The number of ants has decreased considerably after the service was done. We've had a good experience with them and I'm continuing with their service.

    Terminix automatically schedules service for me and they let me know when they are going to be coming. And if I need to change the schedule or if I decide that I want them to come inside to spray, then I let them know. It's super easy to change the schedule or the service. I can either call them or log in online. It's also really easy to pay online. There has only been one price increase and it was just a couple of dollars.

    Also, our technician Leon is super sweet and always checks if we're home or if we need to change anything. He always tells me when he's done. Since the service, I haven't usually seen bugs outside but I've seen a couple of spiders inside. And so, I need to have them come inside our home to spray next time. I'll suggest Terminix to my friends.

    I have ants in my 10-month old daughter's room. She cannot go on the floor to crawl because there are ants all over. Scheduling the service with Terminix is alright. However, my most recent experience with them was horrible. Their guy came to do the service and didn't knock on the door. I didn't even know if the guy was there. When I went outside, I saw a paper hanging on my doorknob. I don't know how their guy did the pest control since my backyard is all fenced and only my front door is available to him. I think he jumped my fence, did the job and walked away.

    And so I called Terminix and told them the issue. They sent somebody else and the guy took the time to do the job right. Every time Terminix go to fumigate the house or do any service, they need to knock on the door to see what's going on. They need to ask if I need them to do the inside and ask what the issue is. They do service quarterly instead of every month so I expect that they do the job right.

    I've lived here eight years and never had a problem. Four doors down on the other side of the street, there’s a gal who has roaches. My granddaughter lived with her for a couple of months and then came over to my house. I don’t know if she got the roaches here or not ‘cause I’ve never had any before that. I came to Terminix through a guy that did the service at the church I go to. I talked to him, got his card and called because I saw a few roaches. The same guy came out and initially did my service, but the guy that came out last time said that guy is no longer with them and he didn’t use the right stuff. This guy used the right stuff but he said he wouldn’t be my normal guy because he works Palmdale, not Lancaster, so I don’t know who they’re gonna send out when I call them today.

    I live in a mobile home and it's all-metal, so I didn’t realize that in between the metal and the walls, there's wood so I could still have termites. They had a guy do an inspection for termites. He checked it all, went under the house and did a really good job. The guys who have been coming out have been good. One came on Friday; the other one came on Monday. They’ve been spraying and told me if I saw one or two, it’d be no problem and it’s been almost a month since they sprayed the last. It needs to be sprayed again before my next time in June because I saw one in the bathroom and I never saw one in there before. They were little babies when I first called them and now this one’s a little bit bigger. They’re getting bigger.

    The reps are pleasant and they help me get my house scheduled. They tell me that the guys would call when they’d come. They’ve called or texted to let me know when they’re done with the other job they’re doing. They do really good service and they answer my questions when I talk to them and I’d recommend it to a friend.

    When I moved in a year ago, I scheduled Terminix to come before I moved all the furniture in. Then I got signed up on a quarterly check in. Recently during a six-month spray while we did the walk-through and spraying, there was a hornet’s nest outside on the patio so they took care of that. Their rep was the gentleman that had come before so he was familiar. He was very professional, efficient, polite, covered his shoes which I appreciate and was not afraid of my dog.     We've been using Terminix for the past 30 years but a year ago, we had our house encapsulated and from that moment, we have had problems with them for one year. It was a $6,000 project so it wasn't something that was just a fly-by-night. We had a nest of rats that got under our house so the pest control was not working. And before they did the encapsulation, they never bothered to check for anything. We told them there was a smell but they just went ahead and encapsulated underneath the house. We told them we had problems with the smell and they did not want to fix that. Then the last time they were here, they told me that they put some type of fan in there to keep the air circulating. They installed it after we complained over and over but who knows if that means when the fan is turned off the smell will continue.

    After several calls, we told them we wanted all of that ripped out, we wanted the ground treated and we wanted new encapsulation. But they didn't do that. Instead, they came out and put a deodorizer during the Christmas holidays. We have a son that's serving in the military and he was coming home but we could not stay in our house. We had to leave for two weeks, go somewhere else and rent a condo for us for the holidays. We spent thousands of dollars that holiday just to have a place to stay.

    From all these, they obviously weren't doing their job. They also came out several times and said there's nothing wrong there and that's when we finally got a lawyer. Then somebody came and said there's definitely something under there. We've not had to use them recently but we still retained our lawyer because they did not do things that were supposed to be done. Moreover, two months ago, they told us that they would order the part and never ordered it until we threatened them. We have also written letters and wrote the home office. So we're waiting now for the next thing to fall.

    It was absolutely the worst experience. We're so hurt and disappointed. Everything was a disaster so it's not been a good example. And in my opinion, because we paid half down and we have $3,000 to owe, we should not have to pay them one more dime. We will not recommend Terminix ever to anyone and we will never ever trust them again.

    I went online and the guy who came told me that the neighborhood people always complain about some kind of fly that we can never get rid of and whatever they sprayed seems to work. I have an appointment for Terminix to come next month and the contract we have with them would end in September. When I signed the contract, the guy told me the termites was going to be twice a year but the lady on the phone told me it’s only one time. Otherwise, everything was fine. There is no pest activity anymore and I haven’t seen evidence of it. I did the original exclusion and they let you renew it at a yearly fee and I did renew it.     Terminix is a little expensive but they did a really good job with my last house. I moved and they’ve only done one treatment at my new house. The guy who came out didn't do as good of a job as they did at the previous house. And it’s a shame because I had him come out before I’d moved in so everything was exposed. There was no furniture and he could get to everything. But I've had six or seven bugs within the last week so I’m having them come out for a re-treat. However, now I’ve got furniture everywhere and they’re gonna have to go around it. But overall, the technicians are nice and knowledgeable and they answer my questions.

    We recently got Terminix. The guy came out, everything was fine and I got the first bill. Then another time, I checked my account and saw that I was charged again. It was a different amount but I also recommended my in-laws to use Terminix and for some odd reason they used my account for their charge. I called and the lady was very insistent that my card was not the one being charged. I gave her the day and she said that it got charged that day but it wasn't my card. I asked my in-laws if they were charged the amount and they said they haven’t gotten their first charge yet. They’re nice and I had them call and change the cards to theirs and they were able to do that.

    It was frustrating talking to whoever I talked to at Terminix as they were not able to help me at all. I know I got charged twice so let's take off that second one. They charged my card but can't find how they charged it. I haven't received the refund but I'll work it out because they're my relatives but I wish that Terminix could solve the issue for me. The gentleman that came out was great. We still have a lot of the spiders coming in but they only come out once a quarter to spray.

    My most recent experience with Terminix has been stressful. It's their fifth time coming out to respray the ant problem and they have not terminated anything yet. This is a recurring service and they are not getting it done right. The representative is good but one of the technicians got smarty-** with my wife. He was not listening to what my wife had to say. We also called the number to set up appointments for them to come out and I specifically asked if they were going to go underneath the house. And the person that set up my appointment told me, “Yes”. And when the sales-tech came out, he isn’t getting underneath the house unless we paid $50 more. I'm not very happy with Terminix and I wouldn't recommend them to anybody.

    I was having problems with ants and I called Terminix. I tried to schedule the service through a recorded thing instead of having to go through a person and it told me that I would have to wait two months to get service. So I ended up talking to a person and I got someone to come out within two days. That was really funny and ridiculous, as far as the scheduling was going.

    Then the tech came out in two days which was wonderful. He was on time and very nice. Also, I have dogs and I was worried about them but he was wonderful with the dogs. However, he initially went to my old address because that's what he was given even though when I scheduled the service the Vivint rep told me my current address. So the poor guy drove all the way out to Glendale Heights when I'm in Bensenville which is at least a 10 miles distance and I felt really bad about that. Then I had to call them a second time and a different tech came out. Both of them were very good, though. Their service was great and I haven't seen one ant since the treatment. So I'm real very happy and grateful about that.

    We bought a new generator and the gel inside it that protects its electronics attracted ants. So, we called Terminix and Ethan came out and sprayed them. He now comes twice a year and we haven’t had a return of the ants. Signing up for the service was easy. Initially, we called them on the phone, they sent us an email and then they called. Ethan always calls before he comes because we have large dogs that go into the yard.

    We’ve never had any problems since the service. We live in a granite house, a stone house built in 1901 with a slate roof so there wasn’t any pest activity inside the house. It’s very nice that we’ve never had a return of the ants. And on top of it, when Ethan was here one time, he said, “I smell gas.” And I smelled it too. So they came out and there was a gas leak in the new generator. One of the things had corroded. Ethan has been really wonderful and professional. When he tells he’s going to be here, he’ll call us and say he’s going to be here in half an hour. And if the dogs aren’t there, he hollers, “I’m outside now.” He’s just great and we have a lot of respect for him.

    A guy from Terminix came, gave me an estimate, and then we went from there. He was great. We set up a routine service that costs $90 a month. They're to put in boxes for the termites and then come back once a month to spray for bugs. They scheduled to have it put in, and that went well, but I haven't heard from them since then. I was going to have the insulation but decided against it. I had an air conditioning unit and heater put in and the company that did the installation at the time beat Terminix's price. Also, my daughter didn't have a great experience with Terminix. She had a question on the pricing and they charged her twice. But our salesman got that corrected.

    Extremely poor customer service. Terminix charged my credit card twice for a $1000+ service. My credit card company removed the duplicate and notified Terminix. Three months later Terminix backed out the remaining charge without communicating with me. Then they sent this mess to a collection agency. This will impact my excellent credit rating. During this whole time their system showed I did not owe them anything and I even spoke to the office and they told me I was all set. I filed a claim with the BBB to no avail.

    Terminix comes, they spray, go away and I don’t have any ants anymore. I’ve mostly talked to two of them. They’ve been very good, friendly and courteous. It’s a pleasure dealing with them. They always stop when they come and knock on the door and let me know they’re here and ask if there are any problems other than the standard treatment stuff. I usually don’t have any. They’re always good about stopping afterwards and telling me if they found anything unusual. They keep me informed about what they find which I find very reassuring.     We had some pest that was getting to be an infestation situation. We had a little problem with scheduling the service. It was like they scheduled one time and the guy said he had no knowledge of it, and so we had to end up rescheduling. It was a crazy situation, but we worked it out. The technician was great. He was on time. He was personable and he helped tremendously. He really did the work. He moved stuff around. He did what he had to do. Since the service, I haven't really seen too many, but I know that we’re going to have to have a reapply or they're going to have to come again just to make sure. But the problem is slowly going away. We hadn't really seen anymore.     The last man who came informed us that we have rats living under our house and recommended that we get an estimate on what had to be done to fix it and how much it would cost. I have set up 3 different appointments to do this and they either have cancelled last minute by text or just don't show up... And don't call to say they're not coming. After 3 missed appointments and wasting many hours waiting I called to cancel my contract. I like the technicians but the scheduling was the worst I've dealt with in years.

    I am submitting this on behalf of my 91 yr old mother who had a contract with Terminix for years. I am a contractor and have seen termite damage for years despite their frequent inspections. Recently we had to move her into an assisted living facility and put her house up for sale. During this time we had let the contract expire for 3 months, during our home inspection they found termite damage in 16 different places "Really in 3 months". They refused to take any responsibility and offered to discount a new policy.

    Prior to her moving out she had a rodent problem. They came out and set a few traps and caught a few. Her home is adjacent to a creek with many trees, these were big tree rats. The tech removed the rats and told her he did an inspection of the attic, and crawl space under the house. I was there the very next day. Opened the attic access and rat droppings fell to the ground, and there was a nest within 10' of the opening. NO WAY HE INSPECTED THE ATTIC. Also the access to get under the house had never been opened, the house had been recently re-stuccoed. The crawl space screen still had stucco on it. This company truly took advantage of an elderly woman. I watch their commercials saying if termites come back they'll make it right. So not true. I do home inspections myself, and work with multiple realtors. I will never recommend their services. Just another giant corporation taking advantage of people.

    Terminix came out initially because I suspected that our mirror has termites and that we also have ant problem and some roach concern. Scheduling was fairly easy. I made the call and we made an appointment to meet. They were here on time when they said they would be, came in and did the initial assessment. It was determined that it wasn't really a termite. They gave me their recommendations and they sprayed. That went well. It was more or less ant and they discovered that the installation and stuff in the ceiling were about gone. That's what prompted me to let them put the additional installation in. That went well too.

    Also, the technicians explained to me what they could do and some details of how it will work. Everything was fine and that improved a lot, too, because I had seen a couple of mice and since the installations, I haven't seen any more mice and the ant problem has improved greatly. The only thing that I'm a little confused about is that I signed up to pay a monthly fee for the service but I don't understand whether I need to call them if they needed to come back or they come at a scheduled time. But for the one or two times that we met, I have seen the improvements and so far, I'm satisfied.

    We originally called Terminix because we were having a problem with wasps getting in from our ceiling. Prior to the technician coming out, we had put balms in the ceiling area and we hadn't seen them anymore. So when he came, he wasn't able to locate where the wasps were coming in from. But he put some powder in a hole that he found. We also mentioned that we weren't sure if we had mice, so the technician put about two traps up there as well. Then he sprayed the outside for us. But then we started seeing wasps coming into the window in the living room. Someone from Terminix comes every 90 days, though.

    Other than that, the technician was really nice. He did a good job of explaining everything and gave me a CD to go over the way this product works. When I originally scheduled for service, it was done online. But when the technician was here, he said, “It's every 90 days, so put me on calendar and call me to make sure it's a good day.” That was fine for me. So far, we're okay with our service from Terminix. I'll probably need them here soon to do more general extermination work for the ants. We haven't had too many but we've had a few.

    We had some ants, some little insects and we got Terminix to come out every three months. I also have another house on another side of town that they come to every three months for rodent control. The only problem was one time we had them, they promised us a free service and after they got done with their service, they ended up charging us which is alright but I said, "Well, you shouldn't have told us it was gonna be free." And then sometimes they act like we don't pay them. The payments not even due yet when they send out the bill but sometimes they call. It's like you're being harassed so that was why we stopped our service here. We kept it at the other house and it's on the same account.

    But the technicians have all been fine. Everybody's been real professional and we're pretty much satisfied with the people that come out and do the spray. They're very informative and they do seemingly a good job when they can get in the house. Sometimes no one's home but they leave a note and say that they've been there and couldn't get in and so we sometimes have them come back out. Sometimes we just wait till the next time. Overall, it was a satisfactory experience.

    My parents have used Terminix for years. When we moved in to our new house, we wanted to go with them as well. Scheduling it was very easy. They are very nice and knowledgeable.     We have a rental property that had some carpenter ants. I gave Terminix a call and asked them to come and see if they can do something about the ants. My interaction with the person who helped me for scheduling was good. She has been very knowledgeable and she walked me through so that was definitely positive.

    However, the person I was talking with told me that if I have a referral, then I can go to the website and refer somebody and get a discount. Our neighbor had some problem so I referred him. I tried to go on their website, it didn't give me any link so it didn't work. That was one thing about Terminix that I was disappointed about. But, they were knowledgeable. They were able to convince me. They've had this business for a long time and they're able to take care of it. When I called back, they were very apologetic and they found another service place, not the one that usually serviced my area, to come this time.     I have been a Terminix customer for several years now. I have had a different kind of grass in a new house, in the same neighborhood. It is St. Augustine as opposed to Bermuda. I noticed that in the course of the year, the quality of the grass has gotten much worse, not necessarily with weeds but it’s losing grass all over the place.

    So I asked Terminix to have the technician give me a call and discuss it with me. It was a Thursday two weeks ago and Monday of last week, the technician came by and sprayed the yard. He charged me and had never called me since, so I'm about to drop my service with them. I also had another arrangement with them a while back where it took a while to have a conversation.

    They’re not helping the pest activity and I'm very unhappy and dissatisfied on the customer service side of things. I would rather have a service that I can communicate with directly. I do not need the process of having admins answer the phone when I call and then have to wait for a technician to call me back several days later or not call me back.

    We had ants in our bathrooms so we had Terminix come. Scheduling for a service with them has always been fine every time I had a treatment on the yard or in the house. Terminix also found schedules that worked for us. Their technician got rid of the ants and they haven't come back in my bathroom. However, there are still a few ants that are still coming in my caretaker’s room. The technician was also always willing to help and good with people. For a while, we had mice in the garage. He worked with us to get rid of those old things. We liked him a lot. I didn't leave Terminix because of anything that he did. I'm just at a point right now where I can't afford to have each of the treatments. If I had the money, I would do regular scheduling.

I had to call them back out here because the gentleman that came out the first time didn’t do his job properly. He didn't spray or treat well enough and we ran into a bunch of bull ants. He wasn’t well-trained and he had just come out of training. They had to come back out to re-treat and they came back out within two days.     Before I got Terminix, I'd spray for bugs at home and work on chemicals, which I hated. My mother-in-law had a pest control service come out and she felt she had less bugs overall. That's when I went to Terminix and asked the kind of plan they got where they just come out automatically. They schedule it through email and they do that every quarter, then the representative would call the day before to tell me that it's scheduled and what time the technician will come. If it's an outside only service, I don't make it a habit of having to be there. And if I want them to come in or if there's something that I want them to knock down, I'll be there to make sure they get the right one or they know where it's at.

    Since I've had their service, our pest activity has been way down and they control the insect population. If I have any questions about something, the Terminix technicians seem to always know it. They also know what kind of bug there is and how to kill it. Last time, I had them come in and do the inside as I always do it once a year. They knocked down the wasp nest I had. They do a good job, they get it done, and I have no issues with them.

    My experience with Terminix has been great. Most recently they came for the annual spray or to check to see if there's any problem. I have the quarterly termite inspection and bug inspection. They email me the date they're gonna come and email me to notify in advance that they're coming but sometimes I can't be here when they come. That's the problem. I'd prefer that they called. But one guy that comes fairly often is very nice. He takes the spider web out and cleans the roofline, below the soffit's area. So that’s always nice that he can do that.

    Terminix comes out every quarter. They call me and then if I can’t be here, I can reschedule it. I call and ask if we can reschedule for this day and date and we have no issues. But I’m usually one of Compton's last or first stops. He's my pest control tech and is always professional, kind and represents Terminix with full respect. Also, he's cheery and you could take him places in which you wouldn't be embarrassed. That's one of the reasons I'm still with them. If it weren't for him, I would be gone. He sent somebody else one time that I didn’t prefer. I just like Compton because I know I can trust him.

    If I know he’s coming out and I’m going to run off, I know he’s not going to sit there and do a halfway job. He always comes out and does it professionally. I feel really comfortable about it and if I forget to put my dog in the house, he won’t spray in the back. That’s understandable because he can’t take a chance, that’s the Terminix rule. Once in a blue moon, I might get one slide in but it doesn’t last long. Also, I’ve never had to really call them out in all of the 10 years I’ve been dealing with them.

    Terminix has raised my rate without letting me know and then they tell me my rate is going to stay in one setting. They sneak them up a little bit and then I got to sit there, go back and have a discussion with them about it. Also, they want to keep pushing different techs on me that I keep arguing with them and telling them that if they can’t give me Compton, I don’t want to be with them anymore. If Terminix just keeps sending Compton then we have no issues and they’re going to be around after I’m dead or if I even drop dead. There’s a lot of pest control companies in my neighborhood and I see them all the time. I could always walk across the street and ask for a price and what makes them better than Terminix.

    I have been a customer of Terminix on a yearly plan for 10 years. I have been satisfied with the service but my recent experience is changing my mind about their service. I had a service on 5/10.2017 for carpenter ants around my home. On Tuesday 5/16/2017 I found carpenter ants in several places around the house, including entering the columns of my front porch. I called the service man and he told me to text him my information that he would come back to respray but would not be able to do it within the 24 hours that is the usual time frame. I never heard from him.

    I called Terminix customer service today, 5/23/2017 and asked for a redo of the service. The first person told me they could come 7/30 - I tried a second call and got a 5/30 service - far, far, away from the 24 hours re-service. I had to prompt the customer service person to collect the information about where the problem was around my house that needed special attention. I am very disappointed in this service.

    Avoid these people like the plague. I had a service contract at my old home. I notified them to cancel the contract because we were moving. They came out to the empty house AFTER we moved anyway, then because they could not get inside, sprayed around the outside. Of a condo. In an HOA neighborhood. The neighborhood HOA handles all exterior things. Terminix was never authorized to do any outside work, ever. Then they auto-billed my checking account making several of my utility bill payments bounce. I called them and they were going to take care of it. They didn't, so I called my bank to dispute the claim. The bank found in my favor, refunded my money, and blocked Terminix from my account.

    Now, FIVE MONTHS LATER I am still getting collections calls from these idiots. I have spoken to them over and over and every time, I'm told that they will take care of it. Nope. Just got a call again yesterday. Tried calling them again this morning, and after sitting on hold for 20 minutes, hung up. Save yourself and your checkbook some grief. Don't use these people.

    When I called to schedule an appointment with Terminix, the reps took my name and address and said, "Well, when are you available so that we can schedule your home?" and they had something available for the day I said. It was nice and easy and the technicians took care of the cockroaches in the house. However, instead of asking where the critters were and spraying on those spots, they should also spray in areas they think the critters can also come out of. They're the technicians. They know where they should spray or where the critters come out more. That’s what we’re paying them for. I can understand that they want to know exactly where we've been seeing them but we should be working together to do it. They come out of the warmer spots like behind the refrigerator or stove. I felt like they should already know these things.

    I must have missed one or some spots they didn’t spray. The first guy was waiting for me because I follow him everywhere and make sure he’s spraying where I've seen them before but the truth of the matter is that’s what his job is. He should figure it out, do it, stop freaking asking me and make sure they’re gone. That was aggravating to me, but maybe that’s just their routine. They should get every crevice and every single little corner. Anyway, we found the critters dead, which is good because whatever they did worked, but the technician told me to call and make another appointment for the following week. They came and sprayed again, but I still see a couple of roaches here and there, so I need to have Terminix come at least once more and hope the roaches are gone then. I'm always busy, but if I have a little more time, I’ll call and schedule an appointment.

    Overall, they’re very friendly and knowledgeable. They gave us tips on how to keep the cockroaches away and they got the job done. It was a very good experience. What was really nice was you get an e-mail before they come to your home so that you know that they're on their way. They also e-mail you a statement of what day they came, where they sprayed, inside or out, and what it is they did while they were at the home. We can have that record in our file. Also, the price was reasonable. They sent me a coupon and that was nice.

    We started with Terminix years ago because we had carpenter ants. As a school teacher, I had the fear of bringing home cockroaches because my students sometimes would have those in their backpack. We have small ants now but they don’t like Dawn dish detergent, so when I spray them down with it, they don’t last long. We don’t see other bugs in the house. If we see any bugs outside, they're usually dead. Since the service, we don’t see any pest activity in the house as far as what that problem was. But we do have those little ants in the spring when it rains. Jeff, our Terminix man said that wasn’t anything unusual. And though we haven't had any termites, they treated for them. One time, we had two but he checked the other day and he said that it looked dry underneath the area where he was looking at and that everything looked okay. He didn’t see anything unusual.

    We have the service done monthly and Jeff usually calls or sends a text message and lets us know that they’re coming within three days. He is very friendly and courteous. He does a fantastic job and something that no other Terminix man has ever done. He'll go around our house and then if he sees a tube like on our satellite dish, he would blow stuff down in that to keep the wasps out. He goes around all our window sills too. He's very thorough and we really like him.

    We told him that if he ever quits and then if he didn’t send me another man equally as good as he was, I was going to go and hunt him. We had one Terminix man that was more interested in playing with my dogs than he was taking care of my outside. He doesn’t even work for them anymore. But that’s the only bad one we had. The rest of them have been good. When they come in, they're very professional. They always come to the door first before they go start doing their job. I appreciate that and we know who they are.

    I was having some ant problems in my home, so I made an appointment for a pest control technician from Terminix to came out and spray pesticide. After a complete inspection of my home, he informed me that I had an active rat infestation in the attic. I couldn't believe what I was hearing, and was horrified that this could be going on above my children's bedrooms. Sensing my fear and complete disgust with the idea of rodents living in my attic, he informed me that he could send a technician from the Terminix Termite & Rat Department out to help asap. But first, I would need to give him a credit card to be charged $1,100 in full. I reluctantly gave him my credit card, knowing that I had to get rid of the rats.

    That afternoon a "Termite/Rat Specialist" came out and did his own inspection of the attic. There were NO RATS in my attic!!! He set multiple traps w/ peanut butter, just in case they came out at night, and he returned every three days to check the traps. NO RATS in my attic. I have spoken to the manager of this department, Mr. Roodeley **, and he has informed me that they will not reimburse me for this fraudulent charge. This is consumer fraud!!! I was mislead and sold a service that I did not need. SHAME ON YOU TERMINIX.

He was concentrated on the bedbug infestation that I recently got. It has only been three months since I stayed at a hotel and I figured that’s where I probably got them. The bedbugs were just starting to show up so he was able to take care of that. So far the bedbug issue is okay but the ants, I still got them by the trillions. You don't have to check back this kid. He's a nice guy, and we have a good relationship. He also does the place where I work.     Terminix hasn't been doing a very good job. The technician isn't killing the roaches like he's supposed to. He’s been back here three times and I'm still seeing some. I got two of them lingering here last night, and I killed one in the kitchen.     The first time they came out to spray, the wasps were pouring out. And I was having the house painted so the guy that sprayed did not do the eaves because he didn't want to cause problems with paint. So, he even told me to call and have them come back out. I called, they came out and I haven't seen anything since. Whenever they came back out and re-sprayed everything, it was fine. The last one that is actually supposed to come do the routine, he was wonderful. He called me and let me know what was going on and when he was gonna be here. I told them I couldn't be here but he came on out, did his job, called me and let me know everything was done. Everything was wonderful with him.

    As far as the person coming out and spraying the house, everything was fine. It's with the salesperson and with the people that do the contract that I've had an issue. They came out and put the termite bait out. At the same time, the salesperson had told me to do the barrier in my crawl space. They pushed me to make a decision and I decided I didn't want it. I called them and he upped and showed up out here to try to change the contract or talk me out of it and I wasn't here.

    Then they went ahead and did the contract for the full amount and charged me and did not take that amount off. Plus, I got the letter in the mail telling me that I still owe the full amount. Whenever I called, they're "Oh no, you've got a credit." I said, "Well, according to the company that I owed money to, I don't have the credit." They told me last week that I will hear from somebody before the 15th because it's due on the 15th, and I have yet to hear from anybody.

    Terminix in southern WI can't keep appt straight. As far as the bug service it works fine, but when technicians show up 2 hrs out of the 2 hr window that we are given we have a problem. We have a locked fence with pets that we have to make sure is open for them, and when they don't show up on time it's an issue. After the first year and only getting one appointment right I complained about it. They said it wouldn't happen again. I had to order an extra spray and got a phone call saying they would be at my house between 1-3 on 5-19-17. Well, 330 rolled around and nobody had shown up yet.

    So I called the technician manager. He said he would call someone and have them come over ASAP. I said NO. We now had to run errands and would need to lock our gate. I said "Have somebody call and reschedule." He rudely said "fine" and hung up on me, but of course, 3 hours later after we are back home someone shows up to spray our house. He said his paperwork showed the appointment at 5-7. Which was not what the phone call said. At that point I had completely had it with the piss poor communication within the Terminix company that I sent him away, never letting him spray the house. I have given Terminix several chances to get this right and they have failed miserably. I am now waiting for a call back from the Madison Branch manager to see if he cares about his company's poor service, because nobody below him does.

    We recently had our regular check-up with Terminix. I've had them for 25 years now because they take care of me. I just call the local number and their customer service rep schedules the service. When our technician sees my name come up on the schedule, he's able to come right away. He's been our technician for over 10 years now and has been really wonderful. He knows my health issues and that I'm extra allergic to bees and wasps. I stop breathing if I get bit. So, he's very good about going around the whole place and making sure that it's taken care of. I live out in the woods and so he also makes sure that I have the little sticky plastic things to stop the snakes coming in the house. I put them on the steps so that they'd go across those and it stops them. I see them, kill them, and throw them away. Then he brings me more. He comes every three months, and then if I need something in between, he comes out usually that same day. The customer service at Terminix has always been great and I've told several of my friends about them.

    We have used Terminix for several years at our former address. But then when we moved, we used a different service for a year and it just wasn’t as good. We’ve probably been using Terminix here where we moved for the last year. I just called and renewed the services with them. It’s really easy and they’re really helpful.     My mom freaked out big time for bed bugs and was stressed out over it so I called Schendel Pest Control that is under Terminix, and they said they could come out within a very short amount of time.     I have a quarterly service with Terminix and I just started with it. The guy just came out and they usually just spray the outside but I had some spiders so they came back for the inside. I've had three who came out - a termite guy, a pest guy, and another pest guy - and they were all really super nice.     Terminix was out here on their routine plants spraying and if I need extra, they have always come right away. I've always been very pleased with them. They're always courteous but when I called the national thing to book stuff, we had this long discussion and they're a little unhelpful. I told them that I had a bees nest and the guy didn't take down my information where it was. But the people who actually came to the house were professional and have been wonderful.     Service was transferred from Alterra to Terminix and Friday, May 5 was our first Terminix home pest control service appointment scheduled. The appointment was scheduled for Friday May 5, 7-9 am, the technician did not arrive at the house until after 12pm and it took 3 calls to the service manager to have him arrive. Once at the home, he did not wipe for cobwebs, rebait mouse traps, or completely spray the perimeter walls, tree bases, or sprinkle the lawn with ant killing pellets as ALTERRA used to do. When I reminded him to do this, he said he would, then he got into his truck and left. I called the service manager and they scheduled a touch-up appointment.

    The touch-up appointment was scheduled for Thursday afternoon 2-4 pm to cover work the first technician did not cover. The touch-up appointment to correct the lack of work performed on May 5, did not occur. No technician showed up at my house **. There were no calls to my phone stating that a technician would not be at my house. This is horrible service. Worst I have ever had. My calls to cancel my service with Terminix are met with "you have paid in advance and will forfeit your money if you cancel." As far as I am concerned, you are in breach of contract for not performing service I have paid for. So please consider cancelling my service and refunding my my money. I will choose another company for my pest control needs.

    I have two services with Terminix which is the quarterly pest control and the annual termite control which was the latest service that I had. The young man who came went under the house this time. He was very helpful. He set the thermostat for my sprinkler system since I didn't know how to do it. He did that for me in addition to performing the service that he was here for.

    I’m very satisfied with Terminix. It's been 20 years that I've had a contract with them and I haven't had any problems with termites. And they respond, too. I've had one or two persons who came out and their attitudes were not appropriate. One of them came and rang the bell. I have had knee surgery and it took me a while to get to the door. When I got there, he was standing out on the walkway and was attempting to talk to me at a distance. That's just odd and stupid. I'm not paying for people to have attitudes. I let a supervisor know that and he agreed that it was inappropriate for the guy to do that and made some accommodation for me on the next visit.

    The Terminix technician was nice, wonderful, and very professional. He and my husband established a good rapport together, so he was really good and it was an excellent experience. Over 2 weeks ago, he came to spray real good for ants and he told me not to mop the floor yet and let the application work. So my kitchen floor stayed ugly for almost two weeks because I wanted to mop and but I didn’t want to mess up the application. But I went ahead and did it a couple of days ago and the ants are back.

    The service was nice. The ants start in my kitchen and I had a swarm of them in the cabinet. I have feeling that I'll never be totally rid of them, but I had it good where I didn’t see any for at least about 12 days. Now they're back and they're crawling across the living room, ceiling, and in the kitchen. The technician mentioned that as long as I have the tree that's over my front yard then I'll probably have ants. So I'm really debating on whether or not I want to do the July appointment because I don’t want to give my money away or waste it by paying something I know is not gonna go away permanently. I'm glad my landlord covered a third of it and I told him that I needed to get rid of the ants because they're becoming pests to me. I can sit on my couch and all of a sudden feel something crawling on me, which is the most unnerving feeling being that my nerves are already old age.

    Still, I need some more help with the application. The technician said we could get rid of the ants in 14 days and it's been a little over 14 days this past week. We've really been trying to be careful about leaving sweets out and I put a lot of stuff in my refrigerator so the ants don’t have food to feed upon, but it doesn’t seem to have totally cured the problem. I want to see and know what Terminix's policy is because I paid to have it done and I haven't had much result.

    I get my services from Terminix four times a year. We have a contract and they email when they're coming. They arrive on a different time than what the email says but that's okay. Everybody that we've had from them has been terrific. 15 years ago, termites ate through two of our picture windows. With their work, they still ate through our house and they settled with us for a year for free service which wasn't even close to what it cost us to repair. Also, they have been unable to control the cave crickets in the basement. The product hasn't worked and after six or seven years, I can still see them in the traps downstairs. It's very embarrassing.

    We were going to have a lot of guests and we needed the basement for some of them to sleep. Also, my son brought home, we hope, Ms. Right and they wanted the basement for privacy when we had all these house guests. I wanted to make a good first impression. I was a little hysterical when I called them and a very nice, terrific and wonderful guy came. He did something different from what had been done in the past. He threw some granule instead of spray and it seems to keep them down to a bare minimum which is very much appreciated. He even when went outside for us and saw if there was any hole in the foundation. It's much more under control now.

    The work that was done was ok, but trying to get someone to call you or show up on time is very difficult. The original call was for a raccoon in the attic and birds in the soffits. The technicians showed up very late for the appointment, and they cleaned out the insulation where the raccoon was (he had already left) and re-insulated. They found the entry point and installed some hardware cloth to prevent reentry. The soffit in the back was repaired, but to my dismay I heard birds the next day. I called them several times to complain, but no phone call or acknowledgement to come back. I was able to pop the soffit and let the birds out and let it go.

    Here it is a few months later, and the birds are back. I called to have a warranty service call, but they have missed at least 4 appointments. When they finally came the guy did not have the correct ladder to reach the high point in the soffit where the baby birds were, and said he would return in a day. Again, to my dismay, the next day I hear baby birds up in the soffit. He had already closed up and sealed the lower soffit (where the birds were gaining entry) and now mommy bird could not get to babies. I understand the birds were probably going to be euthanized, but to cut off food and water from an animal, to me, is just wrong.

    Well the appointment time came and went, and when I called I was told they were short-handed and probably couldn't make it. I would receive a call to reschedule. I received no such call. Terminix is has been the worst service company I have ever had to work with. I would never recommend them to anyone. I should have just performed the work myself. The cost of me buying the right ladders and equipment would have been much less expensive, and I would at least know the job was being done right.

They came out right when they said they would and the guy who came out looked through the house and was able to locate where our problem was, and sprayed it, and took care of it. Once they’ve been sprayed, it takes a little while for it to be killed off, but we saw a couple after that and we haven’t seen them since. It was the way you would expect a business deal to go. They did what they said they would, and we’re happy with it. I’d recommend them to someone.

    We had Terminix encapsulate our crawl space. We wanted to get rid of the water. They did the encapsulation but it didn't take care of the water. They stated it was to improve the air quality and not to remove the water or they said they didn't see any water. I have pictures and an email from the salesperson showing the water prior to encapsulation and his statement indicating it would take care of the water. I have other companies bidding the fix this and they tell me they have to undo all that Terminix did.

    Terminix comes quarterly to spray the home. Usually, I might see one bug or two right when it's time for them to come back sometimes. I get a reminder call for the schedule and if I can't keep that appointment, they tell me to press a certain number. I'd go to a live person and then they set something else for me and the lady I spoke with was really nice.

    The technician was fine and a nice gentleman as well. However, the scheduled maintenance was supposed to be between12:00 and 4:00, but he came nearly 5:00 so I waited around all day for him to come. He ended up coming late, so I started to get nervous like if someone rang the doorbell or I missed him as it held up my midday. I had the day off from work when they came. I never knew if it was just a busy day for him, which is fine, but if I have to keep the time, then I would like for them to try their best to keep the time too, or give a courtesy call and let me know that they're running late.

    We call when we see some insects out there and Terminix immediately responds. I like the guy they send here all the time. He's very nice, friendly, professional, and he knows what he is doing. He's an open book and you can talk to him. They do their routine and that's it. The only complaint I have is sometimes they spray some poison to the bushes and they burn the leaves. And this is the second time they did that. So, the next time they're going to spray the lawn, they have to knock on the door and let us know because that way we could tell them not to spray any of them, just bushes. We don't want to spray poison not because we believe in organic, it's just because they kill the leaves. Other than that, everything looks good so far. I would recommend them to a friend.

    The Terminix guy called a week ahead of time and said he was off the day he was originally scheduled. We found a perfectly fine time on a day he was working. I showed him around when he came and he went around and sprayed more out in the rooms and then on the outside of the house. He told me how it will take a couple of days to take effect, and I will still see ants which happened. The ants were reduced dramatically.

    Terminix comes out on their own quarterly to do maintenance spraying and everything's okay. We have a little bit of an ant problem and so we had to call for an extra service and they came right out. The technicians are always friendly and laid back normal people. We've been happy with their service and they've taken care of our bug problem. We had a really good salesman, too.     We somehow managed to get bedbugs and Terminix came in and treated the house. The representatives who came down to give us an estimate were really professional and I was really happy.     Fraud, and a complete lack of accountability or customer service. Terminix salesperson named Myron ** (TX Plano office) came to our home to assess rodent activity in our attic. He diagnosed the issue as a rat infestation and recommended an exclusion process for $3700. Given past success with Terminix we agreed. Exclusion process was performed but there was no reduction in the activity; if anything, it increased. I reached out to him and after repeated attempts, another technician was sent. HE identified the issue as squirrels and performed additional exclusion services. These efforts also failed. At that point my additional texts and calls to Terminix--to Myron, the technician and most incredibly, the technician's supervisor Todd **, who NEVER acknowledged my communications attempts--all went unanswered.

    After six weeks of no results I began calling the national customer service line requesting that squirrel traps be set at my home. Each of the five times I have called, I have received assurances of follow up by regional managers or someone at the Plano office. On only one occasion (this past Monday) was there any response. On that occasion, two new technicians who failed to provide their names or their business cards showed up, and after I walked them through my home and brought them up to speed, they assured me they'd be addressing the problem. When I returned home that evening--nothing. No note, no communication (they too had my mobile number) and no solution. The noises returned in the middle of the night.

    This morning (Saturday May 6) I once again called Terminix national customer service, this time requesting a full refund, and was once again told that someone from the office would reach out to me immediately regarding the matter. Five hours later, still no response and none expected. National customer service refused to provide me with contact information for the technicians or managers and there seems to be no way to get them to respond. I am now beginning the process of taking legal action should no one respond to me in the coming week. This is the most abysmal example of customer service, and the process seems designed to prevent customers from receiving any satisfaction for misleading service or the kind of outright fraud perpetrated on me.

    It’s been a couple of weeks since the Terminix technician came. We called him to come back and we asked about rats because we have a creek up front. He called someone and they got here right away. He walked him on the whole house and explained a whole bunch of stuff to us and gave us a lot of pointers on what to do to try to help the problem with the creek and the rats that we have across the street. He answered all our questions and was very detailed. Any suggestions or any places of concerns that we told them, they addressed them. But they’re coming back because we didn’t tell the technician the first time that our dogs go to the creek across the street and we’re getting fleas again and they said that they do treat for fleas too. Overall, they were good, very informative and very patient.

    Terminix comes four times a year to spray and we also have a termite contract with them. They are good people and they do their job, but it's the nature in Louisiana that there are a lot of insects and I think around that no matter how many times Terminix comes out and sprays it, we have the same problem. They come regularly and the spraying helps but only for a few days, except that we have a roach and there was that lizard, and mosquito coming inside. Maybe they have to increase the amount of the material that they use or frequency, if there are a lot of spiders which is the nature of the insect that we have.

    Our experience with Terminix was good. They have done a thorough good job but I still have bugs running around in my mobile home. We’ve been fighting this for over a year now with Terminix and the bugs are not just gone. I was having them come monthly. But with me being a senior with social security and fixed income, they said they could come quarterly and that they would come in between whenever I call them and save this money which I was grateful for. But I don’t mind paying them. I just want to get rid of the bugs.

    I live in a double wide mobile home that’s four bedroom and two bath, and almost 2000 square feet but the bugs are hiding somewhere. We have not found the original nest. We had the bugs bad when they first started and I don’t know where the bugs came from at all but they multiply. At one time, the whole neighborhood was infested. Everybody had bugs. There’s a mobile home right next door that’s empty. When they rented it out the last time, they had to get somebody in there and fumigate it. Something came off the wall like a beehive hanging. That place has been empty now for about three years and they could be infested back, so maybe that’s where the bugs are coming from and they’re making their way to my house.

    I’ve got roaches that are running even more now. There are small and big ones and there are the ones that fly and come from outside. There are also German Roaches and I can’t have that. I had to recall Terminix and have them come. Chris, the technician who they sent out, was very good. He said, “This time, let’s empty all your cabinets. I want it totally emptied out, everything. So I can get right down there, possibly get to the extent of the problem.” Everything that we use, I have to wash before we can cook or eat off of them. I’m helpless because if we want to fry an egg, I got to wash the fry pan and the utensil before I use it. He also had me clean all my covers out and take everything else like pots, pans, dishes, and everything else.

    Since it seemed that the bugs would congregate underneath the island in my kitchen, we’ve emptied that all up and had Chris dig deep down. He was on his knees and got all the way around. There was nothing he hadn’t covered. But still, they’re coming back. He said when he left the other day that after the stuff he put in the cabinets dry, get down in there and wipe everything down with Corax water and let dry before you put your stuff away. He said no bugs won’t go back there. But they’re still going back there. When Ashley, another technician, came out, she fumigated the place. She was also good. She had us take the animals and go outside and we sit out there for around three hours. She came in here, put on a regular suit and fumigated all the way through. And nobody has done that since Ashley went here.

    This is terrible. We did that two weeks ago and I still got everything in plastic bags still sitting on my counter and tables. My kitchen’s a mess. I don’t want to put them back in as long as I see bugs around them. I am to the point now that if Terminix can’t get rid of the bugs, I’m going to call somebody else and cancel my service with them. I hate to say that because they’ve always been so good about coming out and I’m going to have to call them again and have them come back out here.

    But I don’t have a problem with the guys from Terminix and I'm not blaming them. I’m sure they’re using the right things that they should use and they’re doing whatever they’re supposed to be doing. I’ve saved all my tickets and they're telling me what they’re using. It’s just that the roaches are winning. I don’t know what they’re going to have to do but I got to get rid of these bugs. It’s driving me crazy.

    We were trying to have a wasp problem controlled and I was trying to tell them the urgency of it cause there were wasps everywhere. And all they did was come by and sprayed that little turkey baster type thing instead of coming out with the heavy artillery. I told them that I needed them to come out since we're having guests over and we couldn't go outside. Also, on the second floor, there were wasp hives. They said that they're going to send someone a week from now because no one was available to come and take care of it.

    When I called the first time, on a Sunday, they said that someone from the local branch will call me by Tuesday. It's already Wednesday and no one's calling, no one's doing anything. They were courteous and knowledgeable for sure but I feel that they were very limited because of the way that their company is structured. A lot of the call representatives don't have authority or access to the branches. They don't have most of the information so they end up saying it doesn't reach the local Terminix branch here and then there's a disconnection. But they were awesome when it came to things on the inside like ants and stuff. But when it came to something big like the wasps and having them come out urgently, they just didn't step it up. It was like we needed to ask for a special request in order to get the job done. I said screw it. I'm not going to wait and have to deal with all that. They just lost me as a customer.

    I always have a very good relation with Terminix and their representative when they come to my house. They are very efficient, very responsible, and respectful.     We started with Sears and then Terminix bought them out. The tech who has been coming to my house is my favorite person. He comes every quarter, and also when I need him, and I appreciate that. When I see something, I call him and he'll come back out. He has gone above and beyond the call of duty for us when we've had a little thing. When a pest died up somewhere, he got a ladder and moved to the ceiling of our house. He got gloves and a bag, and just took out something with maggots and he didn't skip a beat.     The field inspector #** came out and inspected my home for termites. I had been with Antimite for over 10 years when Terminix took over Antimite. I never had a problem with roaches, maybe every 3 or 4 yrs one roach would sneak into my house, but Never have I had a problem with Large Restaurant or Industrial roaches!! Inspector #** let many large roaches out in my laundry room so I would let terminix place their tent over my house right away and not later on down the road. I called inspector #**, he said they came from the sewer lines. I said, "I have lived here 30yrs and have never seen so many Large roaches until you left my home!!" People PLEASE BE AWARE.

    Terminix comes to our house for routine visits for them to do their spraying. They notify me that I'm due for service. I can also call them and tell them what days are convenient for me because I like to be home when they come. I have great interactions with their technicians and since I've been with them for a very long time, I know them by their first name and they know me by my name. We're kind of like family since we know each other very well.

    The pest activity is virtually non-existent, although I'll see a bug every once in a while. But I'm very happy, that's why I stayed with Terminix. If I have any issue, I can always call them and they will come back. They're a good and reliable company with excellent service.     For two days in a row I've had a problem with the scheduling of service. I've always had on my service request that I be notified 30 mins before the service. Yesterday the serviceman showed up without calling so I rescheduled. Today the tech called the phone and one time, when I answered there was no response. I immediately called back. No response, so I called the office and the supervisor said, “Well they can't answer the phone.” Well why do they leave a number if they can't call back!!! Ridiculous. I'm very frustrated.     I would call the 800 number to schedule a service with Terminix and talk to somebody at a call center and then they contact the local place and try to schedule something. Usually, they tell me they can't get a hold of anybody and that they'll contact me. It's usually a couple of days later when they finally contact me back. This is stupid because the local office is just right down the road. I should be able to just call them and schedule. It doesn't make sense to have a middleman for no reason.

    But the service techs they send are very professional. We had roaches and ants. The Terminix guy was here yesterday, he dug down and sprayed. We’ve had them a few times trying to get rid of some roaches. Pest activity was pretty good since his sprays, but since there was a lag with them getting out here between our schedule and theirs, it kicked back up again. Trying to get an appointment is my only issue with them, but they provided the service that they said they would.

    Every three months, I get service from Terminix. They usually call me and let me know that the technicians are coming. If it’s at a time that I can’t make it, I call back and reschedule for a time that I can. They already have it pre-planned and I have to go according to what their timing is. Even if I don’t feel I need it, that’s the time I have to. Even if I want to postpone it, there’s a limited time that I could do it. They tell me what their latest date is that I can schedule the service for that season. The reps are very friendly, courteous, and attentive. Also, the technician is pretty good, thorough, professional, experienced and courteous as well.

    So far, I’m still a little concerned about the mice. Last time, the person that came in asked me to call him within a month, which is almost a month now. He wanted to come and check it again to see if there’s activity with the baits that they left out. Terminix is a little expensive for me, but I have recommended them to my friends who have called them too.

    After searching for an exterminator, Terminix seemed reasonable. I needed something done fast before it got out of hand. I called on a Saturday, explained the situation and waited for a phone call the next. I had to call for someone to tell me Monday. Again, I had to call to be told, "We all booked, we can only come at this time." After I specifically stated I needed the earliest appointment. Management never got on the line. In which the local office are the ones who are supposedly doing the appointments not the call center in Midstate. Bad Customer Service, uninformative, and awful communication. I'm going with Orkin.

I don't have bugs but I pay them mainly for the scorpions and I have not seen one in my house since Clay's spray. Clay was my tech when I first started using Terminix and has been my tech now for about close to 30 years. He is a really good guy and does a good job.     I’ve been with Terminix for years and my most recent experience with them went fine. I have my service done quarterly and I don’t have any problem scheduling it. I have quite a few trees and every now and then, I see the tree roaches. In the last day or two, I’ve seen three dead roaches in the house. However, I think the charge for coming out is a little high. It’s about $80 a quarter. I’m a widow and I live in a fixed income so it may be where I’m going to have to start checking around to get prices because it seems like it’s gone up a couple of times since I’ve been with them. I have checked around in my neighbors that have different ones, and they seem to be cheaper.

When they came, they would knock on the door and let me know they'll look around our home and do treatments. So that was nice, and they were courteous. The last time that I was here when they did the treatment, they found a small mudline of termites. They had to put these things in the ground to treat it, and I've seen some improvement. The only issue I had was crickets because they were living outside at a certain grassy area of my house. So, they treated it and ever since then I haven't had any issues.

    It’s a great experience. But when I decided to go with Terminix, I gave them a call over the weekend. I asked them if they could send someone out immediately for the crickets issue outside. But the feedback I got from the call center agent was that because I wasn’t a member, they couldn’t come out until the next business day which was gonna be a Monday or a Tuesday. If Terminix wants to get customers, they definitely should try to come out a little bit sooner or at least the next day. Because if it’s gonna take two or three days, I might need to look into other pest control services that can come out sooner.

    We currently have a monthly Business treatment plan with Terminix. We noticed more insects inside the building, therefore we decided to call Terminix to ensure monthly services were being rendered (Services are normally completed after hours). We called Customer Service on April 18, to have the technician return to the facility as the issues were not getting resolved. A couple of hours later our technician called and asked for the codes to get into the building, (I thought this was odd since the same tech has been coming monthly). The next day I viewed the cameras and noticed the previous months the technician was coming out and literally standing next to the door for 2 minutes and leaving.

    I then called Customer service to determine the exact times and dates the tech was coming for clarity. I spoke with Virginia ** on 04/19 at 2:27 pm at the Memphis TN Call Center. Virginia ** begin yelling and advising she was not going to listen to me, I explained to her that I was the customer and she needed to assist me or transfer me to a supervisor. She then became even more irate and hung up on me (If someone from headquarters is reading this, please go back and listen to that call). I then begin looking at the cameras for the past several months and noticed the technician coming out, standing at the front door for nearly 2 minutes and leaving. I am so upset by my overall experience I would not recommend this company. I also saved the recordings, hopefully someone will read this and use another company.

    We recently had a regular maintenance service from Terminix. I have the subscription and they came out to do regular maintenance especially for spiders, boxelder bugs, ladybugs, and any other things. They come out once a quarter. I have to pay in December every year, but then they set up the appointment times. And I can change it if I want to, and if I need them to come out more often for something, I can ask them to come out again.

    We’ve had the same technician for several years. He’s a good guy. The back of the house gets the sun for most of the day and we have gray siding, and before we got Terminix, one couldn’t tell its color because there were thousands of those black and red bugs on it. They don’t do anything and just sit there, but it was disgusting. Since having the service from Terminix, I can definitely tell a decrease in the bugs. The technician got rid of the bee problems that we had as well. It's much better now.

    I called Terminix about flea extermination. They said they would come between 1-3, and at 3:00 called and said they would be able to make it. Could they reschedule. I had already taken a day off of work and complained that I needed them to come as promised. I talked with the branch manager who knew nothing about it and could not find out why the agent was coming. They had no reason for the mishap. They are the most unreliable company there is and they are not appeasing to their customers at all. Why do they schedule if they are not able to do the work.

    I have been serviced by Terminix a month ago. They schedule me automatically at the three-month mark and then I call if I need to reschedule and I've never had a problem doing it. The technician's company just joined with Terminix but the guy was good and helpful. He did all the spraying and told me what he did. He was friendly about it and asked if I had any questions.     I found old termite damage when I bought my house. The previous owners had the premium termite protection plan since the day it was built. It took six months for them to send the right person to look at it! A year later repairs have finally started. A month after turning in invoices they still haven't paid! I told them that I had found termites in my deck and they argued it was water damage and declined to treat my home or pay for damages. This time I have a baggie full of them so they can't say that they are ants! Horrible customer service. They lie to try to get you to go away! If I wasn't stuck paying them for the moment I would find another company. I'm not sure how they can sell an insurance plan and not even have any authorized vendors to fulfill it.

    I have a quarterly service with Terminix and my most recent experience with them went very well. They came out to my house in Arkansas, sprayed everything, and the technician explained to me all of what he sprayed and what my insect issues were. It was overall a good experience. Scheduling is far easier than I expected, and the pest activity in my home since Terminix has been coming out has been minimal. However, they haven't done anything so far that’s really wowed me, and there’s not a lot of cost savings. I’d like for their prices to be a little bit more competitive with local exterminators. But given the fact that it's so easy to use them, I have them at two houses. So, it helps to have them both linked to one account. It’s more just for convenience.

    Our experience with Terminix has been positive. Their people have come on time. Most recently, they came and inspected and whenever they do, they call or send a notice of inspection first. The technicians do their job according to their contract. We had Sears then but they sold their contracts in the 70s to Terminix. And it’s very good that they are still in business, but it’s nothing about specifically doing lots of service. They’re just looking for termites. That’s all they do. It’s nothing like other companies where they have lots of other kinds of activities involved. We have other companies for that.

    When we first moved into the house, we discovered that we had bees inside the wall after the contractor pulled out the kitchen.     My technician, Jeff, has been in our account for seven years. It’s a pleasure to interact with him. He goes out of his way to accommodate my schedule because sometimes I can go to work late. However, I am very disappointed with the Terminix scheduling service. It’s always some time in the middle of the day which is 10 AM or 12 NN and my work is at least 30 minutes and sometimes more. Although the automated service puts me for next Tuesday at 10 AM, it gives me the opportunity to call back but I appreciate a personal touch a whole lot better than the automated system. Jeff would show up in his books and then he’ll contact me and confirm that's a good day and time. If not, we try to coordinate and he will usually give me one of the first appointments at 8 AM or 9 AM.

    I have two contracts, one for me and my mom, which is around the corner. So we can usually knock those out within a 45-minute period and then I go to work in peace and I don’t have to do one house one day and do another house a different day. That shows someone who is flexible and willing to work around the customer’s needs. Also, Jeff is always very professional. He represents Terminix very well. His uniform is always clean, and he is always very courteous. Even though I always ask him to please call me by my first name, Ricardo, he still calls me by my last name. He’s a little subdued, respectful manner, and he’s as nice and as kind as can be. So, he always greets me at the door, always “Good morning.” He always thanks me for letting him put this on the schedule because it counts against him if he doesn’t get it done in a certain timeframe. It’s part of his job and I’m paying for it but he thanks me for working with him. I’m the one who should go out of my way to thank him because he’s working around my schedule and my need. The appreciation and the respect are reciprocated.

    Every time Jeff sprays, I don’t have much pest activity. Maybe every now and then I get whatever pest is seasonal. I might see some activity after a spray and if I call it in, Jeff can usually come by and if he needs to spray inside, again, he’ll work with me to come in the morning. If not, he can just spray outside and he’ll say, “Monitor that for a couple of weeks. If it doesn’t get any better, call me back and I will schedule you for an inside spray.”

    Last year, I was a little disappointed. Not so much in Jeff but maybe what Terminix was using because I had four call backs for specifically ants towards my back door which is tied to my living room. While I was able to get Jeff to come back out, I was having to go to Lowe’s and buy different things to try to catch that. I have a little mulch area in the back so he came out and sprayed and after the third call when he sprayed that stuff down, it stopped right after that. They used to spray something that was much stronger which was banned eventually. I have pets and they never get sick because the stuff that he used comes out wet and it dries. I’ve never had one of my pets throw anything up after they spray. I’m pleased with what he’s using now.

    I get the sense that if I’m not happy with something, Jeff would do his part to address it to the point where I expressed concern about the rising prices. They have been jacking up the prices and now I have to do every three months because I have my house, I have to pay for my mom’s and then I was doing my rental houses. So I have to budget myself and Jeff helped put me in touch with the right department to call to see if they could work with me. I talked to Diane with Terminix. She helped get my prices down and I went from having a monthly contract to every two months. It’s still a little more pricey but cost-averaging. That was September 30, 2015, and sure enough, about a month ago, I got another letter from Terminix that the price is going up again. My mom’s house is not even seven houses down from me and they were going up by 8 bucks. It’s not going to cost Terminix an extra $16 for them to drive seven houses down the street.

    Even though I’ve been agitated to the point of wanting to try a different service, I’ve kept my business with Terminix. I had four rental houses. I’ve put two under termite contract and even though a different technician did them, I gave Terminix my business. Even though I was so frustrated with their automated systems that I decided, “You know, I’m going to look past that just because Jeff is representing Terminix so well.” Also, I’ve had friends I’ve recommended to Terminix. I may be frustrated with some of their technological solutions but the people that Terminix has there are always fantastic whether it’s the 800-number that I call or the local branch.

    I get regular service from Terminix and pay them $90 every three months they come out. I was happy with that because I really didn't have that much. Then, I had to lay off one time when my husband got cancer. But their tech came out the other day to spray because I had mice and I owe them one payment because I didn't have money then. My husband hasn't worked and we haven't had a paycheck in over a year, so it's been rough on us. But they came out once or twice for the mice and it worked. The mice died off and now I don't see them at all.

    I always get the same technician, Tony, and I really like him a lot. He usually comes on the scheduled day and he always tells me this is his last stop on his way home.     We're very happy with Terminix. We have three services – pest, mosquitoes, and the termite. The most recent was the termite, which was a couple of days ago. The gentleman who came out was very nice, friendly, did the work that needed to be done in a quick manner, and did a great job. He asked us of our concerns and we told him about it. He answered all my questions and was very polite. The only thing was that he thought the original person put in way too many stations, which was derogatory, but he left them in and checked all of them. We had one problem area and he looked at it. He said it was not termite, and that it's ant.

    Terminix have always been really good. I was going to a different company before and they were not getting rid of the problem. So, I went with Terminix but they’re a little bit pricier. We moved in about a year ago and I was having a lot of pests in my home and outside my home, big cockroaches and other disgusting stuff. So at that point, I had a baby and I was not about having something bite her. It did take about six months for it to decrease by about 50%, and then for a full year now I don’t see any bugs in the home at all.

    Everybody was on time. Everybody took care of any of the requests that I had. There's never been a time when I say, “Oh, can you spray this?” and they’ll say, “No, no.” The only thing is that sometimes the guy that comes will only do the front and he won’t take care of the back so I have to call them back. But, they will be there within a couple of days. They'll usually try to do it by that weekend if not sooner. They’ll also do that free of charge so I can call him as many times as I want, which I do like. I would recommend Terminix.

    Terminix typically comes out once a quarter and they go outside of the house and spray stuff. Supposedly, if they see a spider web or a nest of wasps, they’ll remove those things. But I still see, every now and then, pests inside the house. So it's very difficult for me to gauge the effectiveness of the stuff that they apply, this barrier protection that they do around the house. They’ll say, “Well, it's funny how these things can get in anywhere.” Okay. If you have a barrier, they shouldn’t be crossing the barrier, right?

    I know that I can call them anytime and then they come back to do more services in between the big visits. I pay for the service so they can come out and it's better than not having anything. The service cost once a quarter is $100. It's $400 a year. I think it's a little steep. So sometimes I've been thinking about dropping them for a year. I would like to have the ability to space out the services. Or if the prices could be closer to $60 or so, that would be more of a reason for me to keep them.

    Terminix automatically comes to our house on a quarterly basis. Then if there’s any other particular need, I just call them and they come in. They tell me what day and time they’re coming and they’re always prompt. Two weeks ago, we called them because my daughter had noticed some spiders in the bathroom. They were very accommodating with my schedule, so I'm definitely satisfied with what they do. In fact, I've been with them for a little while now and actually I use them not only at my residence but on my rental property and business, too.

    We recently had service from Terminix for spiders and treated both the outside and inside of the house. I've also paid my yearly termite deal of $162. When I paid it over the phone, the lady scheduled me an appointment for that guy to come in and out of the house but he never showed up. I called back and they rescheduled it but he never showed up again. I've just bought that house in May and this was our first termite inspection but we can't get it done. I wish that they would do what they say. They at least should call and say they weren't coming. I'll call them, reschedule and make sure it doesn't happen again.

    But the pest control side is excellent and I've had no trouble scheduling. Adam is our pest control person. He is excellent and my wife really likes him.     As far as my service goes, I love Terminix but it all has to do with who the tech is. I've had six technicians in the last four years. The first technician came in and did the bare minimum. The second and the third ones were fill-ins because they hadn't filled my geographical area with a permanent position. They had a good one and then he went to Florida. But this last one, I've had for over a year and he is wonderful.

    One time, I had a guy and they needed to redo. And when I called and complained about one of the loafers that I had, one of the guys that didn’t do very well came in and I couldn’t believe the job that he did. He got the brushes out to clean the corners, got rid of the spider dirt and did an exceptional job. I have a two-storey house and an overhang and he did the overhang and the back. I wrote up a complimentary response to that particular job.

    Now, the guy that I have is the same way. No matter what I ask him to do, he does it. He keeps the spider dirt away and I don’t have to look at the ugliness. It was in the fall when the spiders are particularly active. It must have been a cool August 'cause they were all over the place. He took care of it and he wrote down everything that he did. He makes sure that he does a good job on the outside so I have very little activity inside the house.

    However, I have observed that the techs don’t keep to their schedules. For example, I'm scheduled between 9:00 and 11:00 and I'll go out at 11:00. But the techs have been there and I didn’t even know they were here. Maybe they understand the route better than the people that are scheduling them to. So the tech drives by my house to go to somebody in the next town, and he'd have to come back to my house.

    And then on my most recent experience with Terminix, they called me and nagged me for termite services. The guy was lame on the phone and I knew it was a Terminix number so I almost didn't answer the call. I told them to take my number off the list but yesterday, another girl called and it came up under a Terminix number. I don’t like the reps to call me out of the blue. If I need them, I'll call them.

    Upon initial inspection, Terminix rep assured me that there was no evidence of termites, so I agreed to an annual contract for $349. Took me nearly 4 months to get a copy of contract and inspection report (in spite of many unanswered phone calls to the rep, to Terminix customer service call center, an unanswered email to the Terminix CEO, and to the local branch. Local Branch Sales Manager finally sent copy of the contract and original inspection report, which showed "indications of prior termite and other wood destroying pests". Upon reading the fine print in the contract, I realized that termite would be able to deny coverage of any future damage. Then I discovered that my CC account had been billed twice for the coverage, once at the time of the original inspection and again some three months later!

    I have cancelled the service via email to the branch sales manager, but after a week have still not gotten the requested credits to my CC account. Have left VM with the local branch, and have spoken with Terminix customer service rep, who promised action. Advice to Terminix customers: get a copy of the inspection report and the contract, read them carefully so you know what you are paying for. I have dealt with Terminix on two prior occasions, so was inclined to use them again, but now I realize that they no longer provide in-ground prevention and treatment, but they are now an insurance company (you pay now and they MAY pay later if you have damage), like their sister company, American Home Shield (home warranty). I realize that Terminix pays Consumer Affairs, so they will probably have a chance to block this report.

    Terminix comes in annually for the routine service. Everything was very good with them. Also, the technicians they sent were very polite and positive people. They did a very good job.

    The Terminix technician is on a regular rotation about once every month. He is very friendly, extremely nice and easygoing. If we have something that we need to tell him about mice or bugs or anything like that, he gets right on it and tries to do something about it. We don’t notice pest since except, occasionally, there’s a mouse. It's digging in my plants on my desk and killing it. But the technician has been doing everything he can to try to get that little critter.
