My experience with Terminix has been fair and scheduling my service has been okay. The reps usually call me to say that it's time for my service. When the techs come out, they knock on the door first to say that they’re there, then they offer to spray inside the house if I need it. I found some insects that are in the air and that go as far as around the edges, so they took care of the outside, the garage, and the bathrooms. The techs were nice and knew what they were doing. Since they've come out, the situation has been better with regards to the pest activity in and around the property. I live on a slab and some of the walls are on the outside, so I had some that go around the edges outside and inside because I don’t like creepy crawlers. Sometimes, I go barefoot and I don’t wanna step on something smooth that moves.
I’ve already talked to a few people about Terminix. They said that the service is expensive, which it is, but if they think about all the pesticides that have to be bought, the worries, the spraying, and all the time they have to put into pest control, they’re gonna be putting in just as much energy, money and time. I also told them that if I stayed ahead of the game, I wouldn’t have to worry about the after-effects.

My husband was present when one of the managers came out and Terminix found the place where there were roaches. They took care of it and my husband said he very much liked the last guy who came out. Since the last treatment, I've seen one or two roaches but not too many and I noticed that the technique used depends on the technician.

I have a service with Terminix that comes every three months. We live right next to an open space, so we do tend to get a lot of bugs and their service seems to be working well. I called a representative one time 'cause we had mice. The tech was a nice guy and he seemed very thorough. He told me they don’t use traps because this is California, and we have to be politically correct. We can’t kill the mice, they have to step on those sticky things. He also told me to call him when I got the mice, and he'd come back and replace the sticky things. So, I had to call them twice and he came back both times.
We used to have a small company and Terminix bought them. We went from having a small independent company where you knew everybody, to a company that has no clue who you are when you call them. Like every other large company, it’s just some person on the phone and he or she doesn’t really care. It’s a job and they’re making whatever they make, and as soon as I hang up, they’re on to somebody else.

I had Terminix come out and seal my house about a year ago and I've had them intermittently. The last time, I had them spray for mosquitoes around my house. They got out quickly and the technician explained what he was gonna do. He did a good job, but the stuff didn't work. The mosquitoes were gone for about four days, and now they're back. I live next to a creek, so that's the problem.

Terminix have done my termite inspections for 20 years. They send me an email when they're coming. They always wanna come too early, so I call them and reschedule the date to when it should be. And the man comes out and does a good job. When I first got them, I had one section of the house that had activity. When they came in I had a little activity five years later and they replaced some wood and I haven't had any since. The service is a little pricey, but you gotta have somebody do it.

It's been a very good experience with Terminix. From the initial treatment, they got 90% of the pest activity. We just found another area last week where there were termites that we didn't find on the initial inspection. Since I've got one of the managers' phone numbers, I left him a voicemail, which what I usually do to schedule and eventually he gets back to me. Their technicians came out on time and they treated for it. If my neighbors ask me about Terminix, I'd tell them that they definitely should get a hold of them.

I got the fumigation service from Terminix in August and it got done but I never heard from them again. The rep called me and said Terminix was gonna send somebody but she also said that she didn’t have anybody so that was weird. They were supposed to come and do a review but the sales guy never called back. He just came in and sold the job but the follow up was crappy. It was very unprofessional. I paid close $2000 cash and I expected a little bit more like asking me if everything turned out okay or if I had any questions.
The guys who did the work were in a hurry too. They left a plant inside the perimeter and they could have moved it themselves but they were lazy and seemed to be in a rush to make money. I got home and saw that the plant got ruined. Terminix is doing their job but they should have a customer’s best interest in hand. Maybe $2000 is not anything for them but for somebody that works hard, Terminix should make them feel comfortable and assured that their property and their homes are in good hands with Terminix.

Terminix comes out routinely. We extend our service contract for another year and they re-inspect every time they do it. We get nice confirmation phone calls during scheduling and the techs always call shortly before they arrive. Everything is excellent and their service is effective. We rarely will see a bug. We are moving and we recommended to the buyers of our house that they continue with Terminix for the same services.

I've been using Terminix for four years, and I appreciate the services and the time in the day that they arrive. They do our service routinely every three months. It’s scheduled that way. They call me a day before a service to let me know that our service is coming up and then they’ll call me or text me the day about an hour before just to let me know that they’ll be arriving at a certain time. So, it’s convenient. Most recently, their guy came in, did what he had to do in the front of the house, inside the house, and the backyard.
When the technicians are here, I ask them what they’re doing and they usually explain to me exactly what they’re spraying and what they are putting in my yard. I let them know the area around the house where I feel there are more insects and what kind of insects are there, and they easily have something to treat particularly insects like ants and roaches. They concentrate on bugs, so they’re good. If I will not get service from Terminix, I’ll more than likely see a lot more insects in the house.

It's super easy to schedule with Terminix. I just call them to say it's time to do the termites and then they give me some options and I pick a day. I found some termites in one of the bait stations, so I asked the Terminix guy what that means or if I should I panic. He was awesome. He got the baits replaced and answered all my questions. He was very helpful. He let me know what was going on and what it means. He also told me some very useful and helpful information about Termites. I knew it's gonna take a little bit of time to kill the queen, and it's gotta get to the queen. He also said that it is not gonna happen overnight, but the bait is very effective. I had an issue in my front yard and he was telling me what termites are attracted to and what they're not attracted to. My anxiety level increased when I saw the termites but he was very reassuring.

Terminix comes out quarterly for pests and they also come out annually for termites. The technicians call me ahead of time and tell me that they're coming, but there's never any evidence that they actually showed up. When I moved into the house, there were a lot of carpenter ants. There still are a lot of carpenter ants and I've mentioned that to them and tried to watch to make sure they adjust the chemicals to deal with these things. They're both inside and outside the house, and they haven't seem to go away. Still, Terminix provides good service. The agent I called seemed to be responsive. So, we're generally pleased.

We discovered the possibility of bedbugs and we had to find a provider which treated that. We have exterminators in our little town here but we don’t have anybody that does bedbugs so we had to reach a little further around. I had gone to some other pest control places online and I was displeased with them so I was pleased with the fact that Terminix contacted us pretty quickly.
Nathan came, talked to us and did the inspection. Then the people that did the treatment were very nice but my only complaint would be the follow-up. We made it clear that we’re a property management company and we didn’t live at the address that was being treated. They sent the final bill to the address of treatment, which was vacant, so there was a little miscommunication there. They have to make good notes when dealing with non-residents and make sure they’ve got all the correct contact information so that the follow-up isn’t delayed. Still, everything went great and when we finally got the final inspection scheduled, we all found that the treatment worked.

But I have a full-blown remodeling going on right now so I can't have them come in here and do the services 'cause it would be baseless. I called to have them cancel the next couple appointments till December and the tech never got the memo so he showed up here at the house. Apart from that, the pest activity has been pretty mellow and I hardly ever run into any spiders. We also tented the house about six months ago and that solved the issue and I haven't seen any termite swarms anymore.

We've been using Terminix for three months as we wanted to make sure coming out of flea and tick season that we didn’t have spiders, fleas, and ticks within the country. I really had a hard time trying to schedule. They have problems trying to confirm Friday appointments, which is the only day I’m actually here. They told me to look online and when I looked online, there was nothing available. So every time I need to schedule one, I just want a recurring appointment and I have to call.
Jason has been the same technician that's coming and he's so nice, wonderful, and does a thorough job. He refers me to the website that’s why I try to go on there, just following what he said first. During our first rain, he found what we thought were termites and took some of it with him. He said he would do some testing in the lab. It was probably termite but we wouldn’t know for sure for two to three years because they were just searching for some food right now and that was the stage they were in. He would let us know what they were and then we should sign up for the prevention plan, which is the thing that they put on the ground all over. I said that I wouldn't do it until we were sure what they were because that’s quite a bit of money to fork out.
That was a month ago and I still haven’t heard back from him. I tried e-mailing and calling. We're not satisfied with trying to schedule and we're paying for the service that we haven’t really received. It was just a little disheartening and frustrating, but it’s not impossible to deal with. My parents are actually Terminix customers and I was sharing my experience with them. They said this is how it’s been for so long and I’m thinking, “Wow, I can’t believe that I’m not saying anything.” Which is why I’m happy to share all this with you ‘cause I want you guys to do better.

I had to contact them because when they notified me, it was a date that was too early for me. So, I had to call them back and set the date later in the year. Doing that was not too difficult. When the technician came, he inspected the house and explained things to us, and he briefly looked under the house and looked in the attic as well. He was thorough. He didn’t look all the way under the house, but he checked it out the best he could. He also explained well about what to look for for termites and the different kinds of termites. So, that was good.

We signed up for the annual program of Terminix and both the salesperson and the service tech that came were initially responsive. The tech seemed to be pretty confident and experienced and answered my questions. But the quality of the work was average. The two things that concerned me were safety. For example, the tech climbed on the very top of the ladder, which I would never do. It made me uncomfortable. I also didn't get a real good understanding of exactly what the strategy was to get rid of the mice. He didn't explain to the detail I wanted that made me comfortable we were gonna actually get rid of them. We still heard some activity in the garage attic.
Once I signed up, it felt like they were not as responsive. I had attic concerns, but they also sprayed the house for bugs, boxelder, Asian beetles and stuff. I called back to explain my concern that we still had a lot of Asian beetles, and it took about a week to get the salesperson to call back. Then I still haven't heard anything back. One of the things they told us is that they'll come back for service calls for free as part of this program but I still haven't heard anything. I have given up trying to call them.

Roaches are our biggest problem and the regular people who come usually call, let us know a few days ahead of time and give us a number to call. If we’re not on the phone, they give a number to call if it’s not okay and that's been fine. I’ve been happy with the stations for termites and the spraying outside the house, but when they're inside, I do not like having to spray around the food area, the living areas and where we are all inhaling it. That would bother me for a day or so.
Ten years ago, a couple of men came and checked for termites and rats. They checked the ceilings, the attics, and under the house. I thought they did a very thorough job, but I could see there were some things missing that they had not been able to see like leaving the barn door open, but I couldn’t deal with it right then. Someone came a few months ago also to do an inspection and I had no confidence in this person. He went up towards the attic, stood in the stairs and said we had squirrels, not rats. I know it’s rats because we’ve trapped some, but he picked up a little particle and said it's squirrels. It’s possible, but I said it’s rats and he took out a little penlight and panned it around the attic or looked for a moment and said there are no rats.
He was extremely obese, so he couldn’t have crawled around in the attic or under the house. He decided that something needed to be added to the drainage and that the squirrels were getting in through it, but we had that put on but a few years and we had the rats before that. I was surprised at Terminix for sending somebody who didn’t look like they could do the job. Several times I asked one of the men who came to spray or to check the terminals to relay that I would like to have somebody look at the problem with rats and they would say they would, but then I’d never hear anything and there didn’t seem to be a good way of making that connection. Other than that, I’ve been very satisfied and I would recommend Terminix to someone.

Terminix is good. The first time they made an appointment, the technician sprayed the backyard, the shop, and everything. The guy who came out that time was good and everything worked out well but there was still a whole bunch of roaches in the kitchen so I had him come back and do a second thing. Then after I got my first spraying done, Terminix was sending me so much spam emails about signing up for a termite inspection and I just started throwing them all in the garbage can. I did not pay attention to them. It was probably why I missed the next appointment. I just got an email message on Wednesday saying that the technician is on the way, so I had to reschedule it for today.
I also got my little printout when the technician said he did what he could, which was only the front yard. It said that he sprayed for spiders and ants, but it was not what he came out originally for. My contract is supposed to be for fleas in the yard and cockroaches in the kitchen. The technician that came out the first time said that a lot of times, Terminix types it up wrong but when the technician comes up, he sprays the proper spray. I still got cockroaches in the kitchen and when the guy comes out this afternoon, I'm gonna show him the roach I killed last night. I need to get rid of these things because I just repainted my whole kitchen and I am starting to see cockroach poop on all my new paint now.

Terminix is good about doing their pest and rodent services. The technicians come on a regular basis and conduct services for termites as well as to check if there is any evidence of them. They are good about coming because we live in a wash and we have a lot of desert rats. I got a lot of traps around the yard so, if I see that some of them have some rats in there, the technicians will come out and clean them within a day or two. They have been doing good when they are out in our home. They have some kind of a sheet that they send to the house or something that I sign about what they did if I'm home.
Their most recent service has been pretty good. I still get desert rats though and no matter how many traps are set, they just keep coming. They are very persistent. Also, the scorpions are not easy to kill and we get scorpions in the house from time to time, too. But, for the most part, we do not get other bugs or ants. Terminix has taken care of those pretty well. If we call, they will come back out and redo it as the scorpions are wily and they don't die like most bugs when they cross the barrier one time.
However, my husband is not so happy with how Terminix handled the billing issue. They would constantly call about it and since my husband travels, he sends the payment in a couple of days late. Then, we are told that Terminix cannot do our service until they get the payment. We have been customers of Terminix for 22 years and we have always paid our bill. So, we thought we should not get such a hassle if it was a little late. There was one time that the guy came and I gave him the bill and he forgot to hand it in, so that was a big thing. My husband gets mad about the whole billing thing. Nevertheless, Terminix finally got it all settled out.

The inspector that has been here the last two times has been excellent. He covered everything from the attic to the basement and the entire exterior. That has not always been true with the Terminix inspectors, but the one I’ve had the last two times has been very thorough, and we’ve been very pleased with his work.
Our Terminix service determines that we don’t have any termite problems. Their inspections and timeliness of keeping appointments have been very good. But I don't like the cost. It’s too much for a senior citizen. I’m 85 and my wife is 80. We’re on a very limited income, and the insurance premiums keep going up. Terminix costs us over $500 a year.

Updated on 10/31/2018: Terminix has written the warranty in a way that there are many legal loopholes to help them minimize their expenses and not pay for termite damage. The ultimate termite protection warranty sounds good but read the details carefully because there are many legal loopholes that they use to not honor the warranty. The regional manager's advice to me was “change your wood siding.” I will find a better and more honest company for termite protection.
Original Review: I had a termite treatment contract for 40 years with Terminix. I found evidence of termite damage on the wood siding of my residence. There was obvious termite damage including mud tunnels. The termite inspectors from Terminix missed the signs and damage. I filed a claim and it was denied by Terminix because there were no live termites left in the wood. There were live termites but since the Terminix technician missed finding the termites while they were active and alive my claim was denied. The Terminix Ultimate warranty is scam. You pay more for Terminix because you think termite damage is covered by the warranty. Terminix did nothing to help me. They didn’t even offer to treat to prevent further damage. I am cancelling my contract and will find a better company.

We recently called Terminix to come to our house to inspect for bed bugs after we thought we found a few. We got a call from a man stating he was the technician assigned to us and would be out in 2 days to inspect and start spraying, but before he could we had to remove everything from walls, all outlet covers, and disassemble our house. Took off work 1 day to clear out the house, take off work the next day. Said technician shows up comes in the house and tells us he can get a crew here tomorrow. Asked if he needed to look at location he went and peered into bedroom and said o yeah it's an epidemic going around you need treated. Said for this price I will have a team come in tomorrow vacuum seal and treat every piece of furniture, take apart all your beds and dressers treat them, freeze spray all the furniture and base boards to kill any eggs, then spray all base boards and carpets to treat your entire house.
Said it would be 3 sessions every 10 days to make sure problem is taken care of. Then said we can get a 30, 60, or 1 year guarantee. And says won't treat as much for the 30 day or 90 day and 30 day basically doesn't cover anything after service is complete so would recommend the 90 or 1 year. states if we do the 1 year he will add in a year insect plan of 4 treatment & give us a 5% discount on the price. He has said it was going to cost 2 different prices at this point. Then asked him what he was talking about and which price was getting. He states the cheaper of the 2. Then says if pay for it all in a lump sum he can give an additional 5% discount. Agree to it. He then takes card info and says nothing will be charged until technician shows up and treats.
Then before he leaves states his system will not allow him to give us the lump sum discount. Ask him if he can call someone or do something and says it's out of his hands, but will try look into it for us. Leaves, next day technician shows up, doesn't see any traces but to be on safe side we said to go ahead with services. When talking to him, they don't even do half the things the sales rep had stated and was charged more than what the sales rep had quoted.
When called and complained 2 separate managers came out, listened to complaints. Inspected house said, they found small traces of a problem (After was suppose to be treated), never addressed any issues that kept bringing up with sales rep and being lied to about service and price. Then before leave state they will have another manager call to talk to us and send technician back again to make sure issue is taken care of and do more than what did the 1st time. Said the technician was new and didn't know what he was doing is why issues were missed. Still ignoring and never addressing the issue about the lying sales rep and dishonest price.
Technician came again today, still no call from another manager or adjustment of price. The technician said was super nice, went above and beyond and said he sprayed, took stuff apart, and treated more than he ever has. And technician has been with Terminix for over 5 months so I guess you can say he is new, so that might be the 1 thing wasn't lied to about. I will never use or refer this company, its lying sales rep, and lack of management to anyone that I know.

Terminix does my annual termite inspection. They set a pre-existing appointment and just notify me when it is going to happen. The technician was really nice. He just walked around, ready for inspection, and that was it. There was a day when Terminix came out and I wanted to pay right then but their system was down, but it was just a very abnormal day. We found termites in our shed and when Terminix first came in, they were very polite and generous. They said they were gonna do this and that and that they were gonna see us regularly. We had problems with ants and had to keep calling them up here. Billy, my first representative, said he'd be here but then he did not show up. He said that he was 50 miles away and that he would reschedule me for another day. I said, “Well, you know, that doesn’t go.”
So, I complained and wanted to make sure they do that area. Charles seemed to have things resolved when he came out. But then I received a notification that we should be having service again and they told me Billy was still on as my service guy. I said that I spoke with Nicole who was the manager in the area, and she told me it would be Charles even though he wasn’t in my area because I requested and had problems with Billy. So I called and they said a manager and someone from the local call center would call me within 48 hours.
I waited until Thursday morning then Billy called to say that I was on his route and that Charles was full. He knew I was pissed with him but he was polite enough to call. Billy came out and he was fine. But I had to go to a supervisor local, and corresponded with them to get things changed because I thought I was to have Charles instead of Billy.
So I called yesterday afternoon and the guy I spoke with was giving me the runaround and was saying, “Oh it’s seven to 10 days, but he’s gonna make a call immediately.” A supervisor called me but he was not listening to me at all. So he transferred me to his supervisor who said she would take care of it. I told them, “This is what other people have told me. That they would take care of it. I’m still where I was the first week into it with the service.” Overall, they were lousy, rude, were not polite and didn't give a damn. Having to call and continually spend 30 minutes each call trying to get things resolved, I ended up cancelling the pest control. But we still have termite control.

We’re tickled pink with the service because they come like clockwork and we don’t really have to have any action on our part. Then, they bill us and we pay off of an invoice, so we don’t have to pay at the time of service or anything. They’re really helpful to us. Everything is glowing as far as on our side. When it was Schendel, if there were issues outside of our normal spraying time, they’re very responsive. The next spring right after I moved in the house in this new development, everybody started having trouble with termites. So Levine, who built it, gave us a contract for a couple of years with Terminix and I stayed with it. I've been a customer for almost 50 years now. They come once a year and when I see the termites. A few years ago, there was something by the front door. The termites came in and made tunnels for the black ants to come in. So, Terminix treated it. They went half on a new front door and they installed it but it seemed like I had to pay something at the time. I also had to pay a lot of money when they installed some new kind of things out, which weren't covered under the contract. But I haven't had any termite since then and I would recommend Terminix.
I also had no trouble with their techs although one time, I had somebody and I didn't like his attitude. But I had another service for mice and things, and when the man came to inspect the outside of the house, he found a place where there was some insulation that was out and made us aware of it. My son stuck up something in there to prevent pests from going in.

I started with Terminix when I was living at North Lake in 2013 and I’ve had Julio, the technician, for years. He has been wonderful. Julio got a different route that one particular time years ago and I didn’t want anybody else but him. He is very meticulous and does exactly what he’s supposed to do. He does a good job and I am grateful for him to come to my house. We had some construction and my front entrance faces I-4. There was a lot of digging and I don't know if it created more intake of some of the friendly crawlers but I had to have Julio come. Hopefully, everything will calm down. If not, I’ll just have to have him come again but he knows what I need in the area, so I have no problems.
When I was late with my payment, the people from Terminix kept calling. One person called me and I said I would give it on the 24th. A second person called me and I told him the same thing. A third person called me who could have been his manager and I said I told Julio that I would pay it on the 24th. Then, Julio came and I gave him the money. After he left, a couple of days later, somebody else called. They don’t look at the schedule or they don’t look at the printouts before they call. He asked me if I was already paid and I told him yes. Then, he blamed the computer. I get paid once a month, and it is when I could take care of this so, that was irritating. When you have the conversation the first time, they don’t converse it to nobody else. So, if there’s a way to make communication a little better, that would be wonderful. I’m happy with the service and I even had a friend of mine get hooked up with Terminix.

But what I don’t like is that I bought into the great, big package of full-everything and they said I would never have to worry about anything again. I was paying $150 the first year and the only thing I wasn't paying for was for them to put stuff on my little koi pond so mosquitoes wouldn't grow in it. I told them my problem was fleas outside but then later, I found out that once I'm into it and locked into it, they’re not even worried about the yard. They're only doing the house. I’m a disabled vet. My whole reason for getting it is putting down poison makes me sick. They lied to me and the salesmen don’t care. They’re just trying to get the sale and they don’t have to deal with it.
One time, I had a really bad experience with the guy coming out to check the termite traps and he was bitching to me about their placement and stuff. He was rude to us and now he’s not because I called up and started bitching, but it is a problem. And we still get ants in our house every now and then. That was when they said they don't really do the yard. But now, I found out the things they put out for termites, I can buy and put out myself.

Two months after moving in Terminix comes to conduct a free yearly inspection and again we are clear of termites. At that time they sell me in on a preventative care for termites. A few days later I have two techs spraying my house with termite preventatives. In the middle of the process the tech stops and tells me he can’t proceed, he’s found termite. After that it’s been hell, not only do we have to have the house tented, we also have to pack all of our valuables. Terminix does not guarantee anything from getting stolen when tented.
Mind you the house could have been tented before we ever moved in (had they inspected it properly). Now I have to repack what we just finished unpacking. Then we have to find somewhere to live while our house is getting tented (they don’t cover hotel for that). We then have to request days off of work because we have to go stay with my parents (oh and so do our dogs). After all of that they call to tell me that instead of fumigation Wed-Friday it’s going to be Tuesday-Thursday...apparently they forgot to put us on their schedule. But we have had some problem in scheduling. Terminix has given us some times by email and most of those didn't work out. Our technician's name is Edwin and he said he would contact us directly by his cellphone and set it up. That's worked out better and he comes on time.
Sometimes, I still get emails though. It's very erratic and there seems to be a lot of communication problems with the management. So I haven't been happy about that. The annual inspection has been even worse. That's still online and the person who comes doesn't seem to know what he's doing. He hasn't been here before and that's not as good. On a couple of times that they've scheduled the service, they didn't show up.
Then once, they told me they would come at some time later in the day. Then all of a sudden, the technician appeared in the morning. He said he was doing another house here so he just came. And he came as we were leaving the house. We had to stay and wait for him to do what he was gonna do. It just hadn't been very good. Then the last time Terminix scheduled the service online, I got a call at the last minute saying Edwin said he would do it. So Edwin got in touch with me then he came and did it. Edwin is very good but I don't think the other technicians do very well.

But for roughly two years we've been with them, they’ve been great when they come. We're using their service as we wanted to make sure that the house we owned stayed okay.

We had a termite infestation before and the first person who came out quickly assessed the situation and the damage. He obviously wasn't in home repair but he told me that the termites weren't in the house and that we caught it really early. So that was good. He was able to quickly identify and stop it before it could do any major damage. He also set us up with our quarterly package with Terminix and everyone who has come out to check the traps and to spray have been lovely. Most recently, a very nice older lady came out and did all of our external services. She was excellent. She reached out to me multiple days in advance confirming our appointment as well as on the same day. I'm very pleased with the service thus far and I would totally recommend Terminix.

We have a quarterly service with Terminix. They had come two times already to the house for the same ant problem and we are still having ants in the house, but not as much as we had before. The ants are digging a hole in the soil, and you would see all the piles of them. Then, this past week, we noticed a roach in the house -- that was something new. So, maybe they need to spray something stronger. Also, they don't usually spray inside, but maybe they should spray inside as well. Nevertheless, setting up the first service went smooth. The tech who came was very polite, friendly, and knowledgeable, too.

I have had Terminix for 30 years and it is always a good experience. Their rep has always been cordial and willing to talk if I walked around with them. They did some good stuff early on. When they first got started, they put a bunch of barcodes which looked like a code number. They read those with a machine that tells their home office that they were in the house. Now, they are just on maintenance. They call and they are here for 10 to 15 minutes. They go around and check all the deals on the bulkhead and the barcode. They also check outside and look around but I don't know if they spray anything anymore as it just doesn’t last long.
However, Terminix’s rate goes up a few dollars every year and I'm seeing less of them all the time. I assume they know what they are doing and the fact that the bill goes up, it probably has got to do with the cost of vehicles and time. They come from all over. So far, everything's working fine. My wife is more the sleuth than I am and we have seen no activity since their most recent service, otherwise, we would be on the phone.

We recently moved to a home that had some termite damage before we bought it. The tech from Terminix came out to do a re-inspection to make sure everything was good. We also had some ants that he sprayed. Scheduling the service was fine. I had him come back out two weeks later because we still had a good amount of other pests around, so I had him do a re-spray. The tech was fine and friendly. But it was a bit off that after the tech had arrived, somebody else call me, telling me he was on his way. There was a little confusion about who our serviceman was. But Terminix cleared that up and the tech who was there first was the one who took care of the service. The second time he came out, everything was clear and efficient, and everything went fine. So far, everything has been good and Terminix has worked for our needs.

We signed up for pest services on a whim. Representatives came to the door and offered us a good deal. It was a quarterly spray. We knew that it would be about every three months and the schedule was on the internet. It would say when it was time for the service. The men who came out sprayed around the exterior of our foundation. They were very good and we were satisfied. We kept the company for over a year but it was just a maintenance thing. We didn't have any problems so we decided we didn't really need the service. We cancelled and when I called, they said they would take the automatic withdrawal out of our checking account.

I had seen a few pests in my home mainly 3-4 roaches per day early in the morning and late at night. I signed up for service and on Sept. 28 I had the initial spraying done. I saw pests again daily so I called and they came back 4 days later and sprayed. I waited a week and still saw daily pests so I decided this is not for me. I called for cancellation and a refund and was told it was initiated. I called back 4x more to learn on the last time the refund had not even been initiated over a week later. I then got a call from the service manager, Aaron in Peoria, IL saying he needed to come and inspect my home before they could issue a refund. I agreed and he said he needed to call me back that day because he didn't have his schedule in front of him. That was on October 18, 2018 and I haven't heard from him since.
I looked for his call because I know the area code was 309 which he never called back. All I want is for this company, Terminix to honor their guarantee that says if the customer is not satisfied they will cancel service and issue a refund within the first 30days. Now, saying I'm not satisfied is an understatement and I don't understand why a company this large has a problem with honoring its own guarantee? "100% Satisfaction Guarantee. We'll do whatever it takes to solve your pest problem. Including coming back at no cost until pests are gone. If you're not 100% satisfied we'll give you your money back." That's their satisfaction guarantee posted everywhere. Just go to their site at terminix.com. All I want is to cancel my service which has no length of contract, and get my refund, and for them to honor what they say on their site or it is false advertising and fraudulent.

In August of 2016 I contacted Terminix to perform a bedbug inspection. They found bedbugs and recommended a heat treatment. I was given a list of things to remove from the home and some other recommendations which I followed to the letter. When I was able to re-enter my home I found every one of my blinds had melted and fallen to the floor. Their removal was not mentioned in the literature I received. They did replace them, however. My kitchen floor was tiles. They had come loose from the floor. My floor was ruined. My vinyl siding on the outside of my home where the heater was placed had melted. My countertops were melted loose and they still are. My faux leather couch and double recliner love seats were ruined. These were the biggest things, there were also lots of odds and ends.
I was told the countertops and floors would settle back. They still haven't done so. I replaced my almost new couch and love seat with old furniture someone gave me because I could not afford to buy new furniture. It wasn't long before they were back in one of the children's bedrooms. The heat treatment was done in that room. A while later it was done in the other room. I had taken out the "Bedbug Inclusion" so I could have this done whenever I needed, but it didn't replace what I'd lost. Eventually I was told there was a spray they could use. I've lost count of how many times they have sprayed and, for a while, the bugs were gone. But only for a while. But I feel the spray lasted a good while longer than the heat treatment.
I have done everything I've been instructed to do. I have spent a small fortune taking everything in the house to the laundromat hoping the heat of their dryers would be better than mine. But they keep coming back. On September 7 of this year (2018) I had another appointment for them to spray for the bed bugs. The manager came to check things out, but told me to start with they would not spray again. They would have to do the heat treatment. Granted, I probably have nothing left that can be ruined but I'm sure something would be. I was refused service because I would not agree to having my house destroyed again. I was assured that nothing like that would happen this time but I'd heard that before. After spending all that money I have bedbugs worse than ever.

I started with Terminix about seven years ago then I went away for one year. But I was very dissatisfied with the other company I went with and I came back to Terminix. The thing that keeps my level of being a loyal customer with them is John, the technician who has been the best one we've had. Most of the time, he never needed to be directed on what he needed to do and he knew what he intended to do from top to bottom. We had traps for mice and rats and he knew he needed to bring a ladder and service those. He knew he needed to check them out and see whether there was poison or not.
But the other two gentlemen who came out here were not as well servicing as we expected. One of them said that he couldn't do the job because he didn't have a ladder. But when I asked him if he wanted to use my ladder, he said that he couldn't do it because of his back. It was a good thing that the tech was responsible enough for saying that but the fact of the matter is that he knew that he was gonna come and service my property, which he has done before once or twice, and he should have known that he needed to check the traps when he got here. So if he was unable to to do that, he should have called and said that he wouldn't do it.
Then, he called me one day ahead of his scheduled appointment but I couldn’t answer at the time. And when I called back in less than 10 minutes, he was still on working hours but he said that he has gone out of the office or out of the job for the day. That was it. He also said that he was gonna call an hour before he was gonna come out but he never called.
There was another guy who came out here and and he asked us what we wanted him to do. That was very upfront and we didn't like it. We get their service and he knew that he was gonna go into the perimeter of the house, apply the chemicals, and do the treatment inside if we needed the service inside the house. I am in technical service in the same manner as they are and I’ve been dealing with different levels of hierarchies at different customers. And I always greet and listen to them, but I never ask, “What do you want me to do?” It’s very disrespectful because I am not inviting them to have lunch or brunch.
So this last time, I called Terminix to request a service from John. I was out of the town with my wife when he came out but he serviced the outside of the perimeter and we were very happy. Other than that, the people at Terminix and their call center reps pay attention to our complaints and we are very satisfied because of that. All in all, there are opportunities for technicians with Terminix, but you get top service out of other companies.

We used to be at a very old building and sometimes, the spiders would drop from the ceiling and that freaks me out. They were big and nasty. But now, we’re in a new one and we like to have Terminix spray so we don’t have issues. The regular guy who was coming in would spray all around the offices, in the kitchen, in the maintenance room, and in the bathrooms. Then, he quit coming and Terminix had a new guy come. However, the thing that he would bring in got smaller and smaller. We saw ants in the bathroom and he put down ant traps. I told my boss that if he would pay me $88 a quarter, I would put ant traps in the bathroom or I could buy Home Defense and spray it myself because it was to the point where the new guy was doing nothing.
I told the new guy that the other one used to spray, and that we would prefer that he sprayed our offices. I also said that we were paying for Terminix so that we wouldn’t have a problem. He said that Terminix doesn’t do chemicals unless we have a problem, so we said if he wasn't gonna do anything we would not pay, and we canceled. Someone called about the termination and said they would have a manager call. The regular guy came back and asked us about the issue, and we told him that we didn’t wanna wait until we have a problem. Tom, the owner of the building, also talked to him about it too. The regular guy said that if it’s what we want, then that is what they’ll do. As long as they were spraying, we never had major problems.

Terminix is a really good company and up until this year, they were taking extra good care of us. We’d been really satisfied with what was going on, but it almost seems like in recent months, something has changed. For years they came out quarterly and inspected our stations outside our house. We had termites in our home so they put bait in the closet where the termites showed up. Then a few months ago, they did their quarterly inspection and I asked them specifically to check that particular closet. It happens to be next to the bathroom and next to the shower, and they found active termites. So, somebody came, drilled a hole and pushed some poison down under our basement floor. They’ve been here once since then, and we weren’t here. I had hoped that we would connect so they could check that closet again and make sure there wasn’t any more activity, but that never got done.
In the past, Terminix always called us and we responded, and if we weren’t here, we would call back and tell them that we would be here at a particular time. I have no idea how we got it messed up this last time. There were a couple stations after they left that were still covered over with leaves. You have to take the debris and leaves off in order to look inside, and there were a couple of them that had a bunch of stuff on top so I don’t know whether or not they even checked those. Our area has a predominant problem with termites, and I wanna see them once every quarter. I would also like to be here so that I can let them inside the house to check that closet.
We’re pleased to hear you’re satisfied with our service. I've forward a message to the local office managers to please contact you to schedule an appointment inside your home. Someone will contact you shortly.

They keep track of the schedule and we communicate by text message and I tell them if I need bait traps for the inside of the house. When they say they’re gonna stop by, they stop by. Plus, they give us a small window and I get a message saying a tech is coming out the next day. The tech comes by, sweeps for spiders and sprays the exterior for ants. There's not a whole lot of touchy, feely stuff, but they stopped my ant problems. We’ve done no interior treatment other than putting out bait traps. They communicate well and work hard at being attentive to customer service. Once the service is completed, I get a text message that says if I had any questions or need any follow-up, to let them know.
Where I live, there’s a giant ant hill. When I called with a crisis, Terminix was the first one that could respond. Everybody else was gonna have a four-day delay. Their tech came out 24 hours later, which was nice. They solved the crisis in the short-term, but it comes back on a repeating basis, sometimes sooner than they do. Seeing them once a quarter isn’t enough for the ants of West Seattle, but they always appear to be ready for more. Terminix is nice to get if you need the extra help. The guy who comes here is great. The service is automatically scheduled. He just calls and says what day he can be here and he's on time. He's professional. We would also have simple, short sweet and personable conversations. Once in a while, I have to call them to come back and do a re-treatment or spray some areas more intensely. There's usually an hour and a half or so wait in that. The only thing is I wish the service was a little bit more effective on little crawly animals like spiders, ants and little centipedes. A lot of times, there are still little critters running around. But the pest activity is typically less once they've come out.

Terminix sends an e-mail stating that they’re coming out. Sometimes the e-mail will say that they need access to the house, but to my knowledge, they’ve never gone in to look at the basement. When they come out, I’m generally not around but they show up several times a year checking the bait stations. The technicians have been fine. Once in a while, they’ll send out a technician who’s not familiar with where the stations are and they might miss one. But if I called them back, they’ll send somebody back out and they’ll take care of it. I’ve had a couple of occasions where the bait station was broken somehow, so they came back and put in a new bait station.
Years ago, I had an experience where the front steps to my house that were made out of cedar had termite damage. I called Terminix and they said, “Well, decking was not part of the coverage.” But then they changed their mind and replaced the steps after all. So that was positive. I've been using Terminix for 20 years and so far, my experience has been good.

I found out that a bug was coming out of my walls, so I called Terminix but I couldn't get through to anybody. Finally, I called the local office and it took them two weeks to send me somebody. It was a bad service. The local office should respond to us when we call. When I called the 800 number, they referred somebody, but nobody contacted us. Also, sometimes, the contractors don’t show up on time and they say that they are running late by one to two hours. We can’t just wait for the guy to come in. Other than that, the guy who came the latest time was on time. He was good and did a thorough job. Still, Terminix should do a better service.

The technicians usually call before they arrive and then they knock on the door and ask where the main issues are. And then they address them, do their thing, leave their receipt on the door and they're off their way. Pest activity has been pretty much eliminated since their most recent service.

We also have Terminix's pest control services, and the pest control people have been fine. But we had some problems at the time of the tenting with communication with the technicians. Then for any additional ones, we call the request in or do it online. Doing that is a decent experience. Plus they come out as quickly as we need them to so that’s good. The service people we’ve had have been good too. If I have a problem with one, I usually call the local office and then they take care of it. We hardly see any pests but it gets dry here in Texas and that’s when they start coming in. They come in for water. We had a wet basement kind of issue when we started with Terminix. Outdoors, we also have a screened-in porch and a front porch, and in both of those areas, there were spiders, millipedes and centipedes. We had been with Terminix for many years starting around 2005 until we received a door-to-door offer that was better than what Terminix could do at the time. So we switched over to Alterra. Before then, lots of other offers had come around as well. But I did not leave Terminix initially because we really liked our service person who came out. So it was sad to let him go but Alterra's was too great of an offer.
But Alterra ended up merging with Terminix and once we came back to Terminix, we got our same service guy so that was great. For the most part, we also went through a period of time where there was a different guy and he was great too. The technicians have always been super trustworthy and kind. The service provider has always been really great but the best part of the experience is that the bug control is there. Terminix comes out regularly. The last time I called, the woman said that they have to transfer me to the local branch. But they were closed and she'd have them call me the next day. But nobody called. So I waited around a couple of days then I called back to the main number. She said they had me scheduled on the 17th between 10:00 and 12:00. But neither the tech nor the branch called me about it. I hadn’t left at the time but I leave the basement door unlocked for him to come in and spray, and he leaves and locks. The door was locked when I got home, so I assume he was there and the service was done. He says he'll come out as many times as he has to to get rid of the ants in the kitchen and the carpenter ants in the crawlspace. He's been super nice about it. He put some liquid in the corner and when he came this last visit, he sprayed it really well on the kitchen and outside. We had some bees nests by the air conditioning unit, and he sprayed some powder in there, and everything seems to be good this time. Since his last visit, I haven't seen any ants in the kitchen. I had an appointment scheduled with Terminix for October the 20th, but I couldn’t do it on that date. I went online and tried to reschedule it for November 20th, but it wasn’t available. The online system said that if my date was unavailable, they'd call me and I haven’t heard anything for four days since I typed it up. But last time, they sprayed my house and the tech was thorough and answered all of my questions.

We've had Terminix for so long that I feel ease of mind that I don’t have something destroying my house. We have a yearly check-up with them and everything has been fine. The techs that they've sent out have all been really nice. They've gone under the house and the back and they've let me know how many spiders were there and what were the stuff down there. The last two guys who came out seemed to be knowledgeable and did a good job.
The only issue I have with them that’s kind of happened every time they’ve come out is since I don't live out at the house all the time, I am not at home when they come to inspect and so, I've had to reschedule it a month later from the time the tech was out there. If they're gonna come out, I needed to be contacted to make sure somebody is out there to let them in the house so they can actually do the inspection well. But the last time I called, the rep was apologetic and got me someone to make sure he would be out there and also would let me know when he's gonna be there. If it happens that way, it makes a lot better. Still, if people ask me who is my termite person, I'd tell them we're with Terminix and we have a really good relationship with them. We haven't had any termites since the initial time that we moved in with. We could see where there is termite damage, but it was treated then.

We've been using Terminix for 14 years now. We have it here in Ohio and in Florida. We had a guy come in at our Ohio address, and he put down some mousetraps, but we never had any problem with mice. The person who came was not the guy that would normally service this area. My concern was we had silverfish. The technician turned the bathroom vents on and sprayed them. In our particular case, they did the vent into the attic. Normally they wouldn’t, but I wanted him to go up. They’re due out here sometime in November but we’ll be leaving towards the middle of November so I was homing the next guy out. I could talk to him a little bit and see if they could do something about spraying in the attic area.
We also had them for a while for carpenter ants. It was one of my concerns this time too and I wanna make sure they dealt with that. When I scheduled the services, my experience seemed to go okay. But there was a billing problem this time. After the technician left, something came through on our credit card, but it wasn’t for the full amount. Other than that, the condition of our home seems to be getting better. We used to have flying bugs that come out late October and we have them all over our wall, but I don’t notice them this time. Terminix has been good for us. I also really like the people we’ve had in Florida.

Bugs get really bad at this time of the year, but we haven't noticed any spike so the treatment has been great. I also haven't seen signs of the pest that we were after. The interactions I've had with the technicians have been very positive as well. They were very friendly and they had great customer service.

On August 7, 2018, we had Terminix come out for a second visit to eradicate a wasps nest. During the visit, the technician (tech) told my boyfriend (Kevin) that we needed to remove the threshold from our porch doorway because the tech believed the wasps nest was under the threshold. He said once it was taken up, to call him and he would return. We had the threshold removed and called the tech out for a third visit on August 11 because the wasps continued to return.
During the third visit, the tech changed his mind, said the nest was not under the threshold. He thought it was up higher, behind the siding. He told me directly he was watching them fly in and out and said they were about halfway up the height of the doorway. I stepped inside to call my contractor to see if the siding could be removed. My contractor told us the siding could be removed properly, without damaging it.
After the conversation with my contractor, Kevin was able to loosen up the bottommost piece of siding (underneath the doorway) without damaging it. The tech said he needed to see up higher to see if the nest was where he thought it was (halfway up the height of the door). Kevin told the tech he didn't want to damage the siding and tried to remove more siding pieces but was unable to do so. The tech said, "I can't guarantee my work unless I see all the way up behind the siding and find the nest. The wasps will continue to return unless I find the nest." The tech then began lifting the siding up to see if he could see the nest. While lifting the side up, he began to tear the siding and continued to tear it. After tearing the piece of siding Kevin told the tech to stop and he came in the house to discuss what happened with me.
Kevin told me the tech ripped the siding because he needed to see if the nest was high up near the door. I was in shock and furious. I went outside and the tech kept telling us that was the only way to get to where the wasps were. The tech then told Kevin to cut the siding since it was “already ripped and probably needed to be replaced”. After the siding was cut, the nest was found to be below the door under the siding. The siding never had to be ripped. At no time did Kevin give the tech permission to tear the siding. The tech took it upon himself to lift and tear it, because he said he needed to find the nest and couldn't guarantee to kill them all if he did not find the nest.
From August 13 through September 9, Kevin tried to get in touch with the tech’s supervisor, Sebastion, to see what they were going to do to repair the siding. The supervisor either neglected to return his calls or at one point later told me he was waiting on Kevin to call him back. However, after Kevin's initial conversation with Sebastion, Sebastion said he would talk with the tech, then call Kevin back. But Sebastion never returned Kevin's call. This was the first in a series of “runarounds”. On September 10, I finally spoke to Sebastian regarding the incident and Sebastian asked to arrange time for him and a contractor to come look at the damage. That Friday, September 14, Sebastian arrived alone, took a few pictures and said he would talk to the contractor and get back to me.
I did not hear back from Sebastian. He called Kevin on September 26 and stated “we’re not going to fix it since you gave the technician permission to rip the siding”. Kevin told Sebastion again he never gave the tech permission to tear the siding and that the tech ripped it while lifting it up trying to find the nest. That same day I called customer service, explained the whole ordeal and that it had been dragged out now 6 1/2 weeks which is absolutely absurd. The customer service agent, Nick, told me he would “reach out to a different source”, took all my information and said the Regional Manager, David **, was going to contact me.
Two weeks go by, no calls. Then on October 11, 2 months after the incident, Kevin gets a call from Randy **. I talk to Randy on October 12th - at which time he told me that Kevin ripped the siding not the tech. I told him that was not true and that was absurd that we would go to all that trouble to remove the threshold and just be “ok” with ripping the siding off. Randy said he would get back to me. He called back on the 16th. After explaining the situation again to Randy, not the Regional Manager - David **, he tells me that he’s not authorizing the repair because Kevin told the technician to rip the siding off (different story). My response to this was that the tech was clearly lying (changing stories) and why in the hell would I take the time to remove the threshold in the doorway but be ok with ripping off the siding of my home damaging it beyond repair!? He had no response.
So who is Randy ** and why can’t the Terminix employees all have the same story?? It's obvious the tech's is not telling the truth. Neither the manager nor Randy ** are willing to remedy the situation. The Regional Manager has never reached out to me as customer service told me he would. And I’ve continued to get the runaround for over two months, while the damage to my siding continues to sit and probably is causing more disrepair to my home with all of the rain we have had. We just wanted Terminix to pay to fix the siding the tech ripped, plain and simple. The dishonesty and lack of customer service is appalling. We immediately cancelled our service to and have every intent to make sure our friends and family know how horrible our service with Terminix is and to never use them again.

Earlier this year, I asked Terminix to address a gopher problem I had in my yard and I was not happy with their service. After many attempts and about two months, I finally got it resolved. There was a misunderstanding on various parts that I thought I had the service then they told me I didn’t have the service and nobody would call me back. It was a very poor service, as far as I was concerned. But eventually, it was in November that I had somebody come out after I had to add it as an additional cost on my regular servicing, which nobody told me that that was all I had to do. So, I had service done in November.
Then in January, it turned out that the gophers came back. So I called again and asked for them to come out and re-service it. The gentleman came out but he just performed the regular quarterly service. I was told that Terminix instructed their technicians to take all the chemicals or the pellets, and that they couldn't provide the service any longer. But no notice had been given that that was the situation especially when I called in January and asked for that specifically. I was even told that somebody would be out to treat it. So that pissed me off because I was paying for it for months then they couldn't even treat it. After much discussion, I finally told them to cancel that service from my account, put me back to the regular quarterly service that I was getting ,and they refunded me the full price of that one quarterly service.
So as far as extra pest control goes, I'm very disappointed in them and I don’t think they provide the service that they claim to say that they're gonna do. But for just the regular service, I have no problems with Terminix. In the past, I had this one technician, Leo, who was very attentive and really did a good job. I was very happy with him but he injured himself on the job and had to step away from doing the regular quarterly service. And since Leo's been off the job, I've had at least three different technicians come because of various reasons. The last guy that came was very good but I missed the service that Leo would provide and I'm sorry that he's off the account now. He seemed to provide additional concern and made sure he met with me, talked with me, walked me around the house each time, and showed me what he did.

When the Terminix team was doing their normal termite inspection under the house, one of them shined the flashlight up and saw extreme case of mold. So, I met with them. I’m recently retired and it wasn’t a great time to find out about that. I had to go through the finance plan because they came in and took out all the insulation under my house and washed the floorboard. After they got through with that, they put all the new insulation in. It just took forever for me to get a door put on it, a plastic door to keep anything. When they did all this work, they cleaned it all up, put a new plastic moisture barrier in the bottom. It was $5,000 but if I get mold and mildew again, Terminix guarantees that they’re gonna fix and take care of it.
Scheduling a service with them went well. They had access to the bottom of the house. They had to go inside and I just had to keep going one floor a day while they spray the chemicals. They told me to wait 24 hour and air the house out. So, if anything came in the house, it wouldn’t be harmful. However, the Terminix people in our area must have had a lot of turnover. I called them for the third time to get that door put on and somebody came out the next day. I want the the whole thing except where I pay it off which will take me about two years. So far, everything’s done now. It was just trying to get that last little piece of the puzzle done, getting the door in there, so nothing could go under the house again. It took a lot longer than I really want it to.

However, the representative who did the estimate set up a time but did not communicate to us when those times would be, so we suddenly had people showing up or had us do services that we wanted to be done. A guy came out and he was great and nice. But, Terminix was supposed to send the guy doing the termite stations first and they didn’t. He came later and we didn’t know why the guy doing the spraying was there because we hadn’t scheduled it yet and we were supposed to get a call to get it scheduled, but the guy just showed up. Terminix has to make sure that there's good communication during the initial setup.
Nonetheless, we like Terminix. We haven't had any spiders, although we've had more ants than we thought we were gonna have after the treatment, but we were told that they're supposed to come back out in a month. I took the next few days to research them, and after not liking what I was seeing, I called to cancel my account the morning before service (service was scheduled for the afternoon).
That afternoon, a Terminix technician came knocking at my door, to inform me that he was there to perform service. I answered the door, explained to him that I already cancelled my account, and watched him go on his merry way. I thought that was the end of that. However, a couple days later, my credit card was charged for service. That's when the nightmare began.
To cut it short, call after call I was reassured that I'd be receiving a refund (which led to many days of waiting each time). After my 6th call, some manager rudely informed me that I would not be receiving a refund because service was rendered. Are you kidding me? I was there at the time (I work from home, my office faces the street), NO SERVICE WAS PERFORMED.
Eventually, I had to dispute the charges with my credit card company. Would you know that a few weeks later Terminix wrote me again to say that they performed service and I owed them? So much for my account being cancelled. I made a 7th call to let them know of my disgust with their "service" - I had a few choice words for them, but I managed to contain myself (it's not the representative's fault. She works for scumbags after all). Their response was that they were going to send it over to the local office to handle it, whatever that means. Terminix is a scum of a company with no morals. We had a bout of roaches and ants and we have Terminix come out every three months. Usually, we get either an email or a phone call saying, “Your Terminix man's gonna be there tomorrow.” Without any interaction with us, they set up a date. And normally, nine out of 10 are the ones that they tell me we have, and we have to call and we can’t reschedule it. Then when we reschedule it, they still come out the day we told them they couldn’t come out. The guys that are supposed to be out here are the ones that are supposed to be keeping the tabs on it, and obviously, they’re not. So, we’ve had them show up when they weren’t supposed to. We’ve had them not show up when they were supposed to. We got real close to cancelling Terminix about a month ago because of that.
We really don’t know what our schedule is with them. And all of a sudden, we get, “Oh, next week they’re coming here to do the outside or the inside.” And we have complained about it numerous times. And then all of a sudden, I get a phone call from the tech that was supposed to show up, laughing. He’s with other guys in the background, obviously driving with a bunch of friends. And he said, “Huh. I didn’t show up today. I’ll be there tomorrow.” And I said, “No, you won’t. You won’t be.” I called up Terminix right away and told them, for one thing, I did not want him again. And for another thing, he thought the whole thing was funny. He didn’t show up. We waited almost four hours before we found out he was not coming.
Terminix said they'd correct it. We said we'd cancel because this is getting ridiculous and they asked us to give them another chance, and we did. But we haven't seen nor heard from them again. So, as far as their customer service and their scheduling, it really needs to be overhauled. I can’t always give them four hours of my time whenever they just feel like doing it. And it’s not like I’m not paying for the service. It’s not like they’re coming out of the kindness of their hearts. I’m paying big bucks. But the last time I’d seen them was August 7th. We're already into October and I haven’t heard anything about them coming or anything else.
Nevertheless, the gentlemen that do come out normally are decent people. They’re friendly when they get here. They listen to our thing. Now, they very rarely come in the house because we do have the animals and they don’t have a lot of pet-friendly sprays. So, we really had to limit what they can do on the inside of my house. Basically, they do the outside of the whole perimeter of the house and they are good at it, those that we have seen. But there was an exception where the one gentleman that came out said, “I need to go into your crawlspace.” And my husband said, “No, you can’t go in my crawlspace.” “I need to.” “No, you don’t need to, and you can’t.” And he argued with him for about a good 5-10 minutes as he was spraying. He kept telling, “When I’m done here, I gotta go in that crawlspace.” And my husband looked at him and said, “Which part of you cannot go in my crawlspace you don’t understand?”
My husband asked why he needed to do that and he said, “It’s part of the service.” But nobody has ever tried to get into our crawlspace and nobody has even pushed it. And since I’m the customer, if I say no, there should be no more discussion. So, we might not stay with Terminix if they don’t start getting their act together. There are other pest controls out there that we can get into. Terminix keep raising their prices but they don’t raise their standard as to who’s coming out.
We’re sorry to hear about your recent experience with Terminix! We value your feedback and would like a chance to resolve any issues. Someone from our local office will be contacting you to help assist with your resolution.

I've been using Terminix for about 15 years, off and on, but it's not a steady deal. I will run a quarterly deal for a couple of years, then I will just stop it for a little while because of no bugs. I'll let it go for a year, then I will call them back. Usually, we have a lot of spiders and ants mostly, and they are hard to get rid of. It's easy whenever I have to call the call center to schedule service with Terminix. However, they changed the guy that comes out for some reason. I stopped using Terminix and the next time I started it up, he didn’t come out. He did my work for a long time. The new technician usually calls and says he is coming, or whenever he is there, and I just tell him to go ahead and take care of the issue.
I'm usually not there when he comes and I haven't met him, but he leaves me a copy of the ticket that he had done, on the front door, then I get a bill later on. There are fewer bugs now than there was before he came by. I live in the country and it's hard to kill bugs when you are living on a farm or ranch, but he does a good job.

I have a quarterly service with Terminix. The interactions with their customer service team have been usually good. However, some technicians have been better than others. Some have been really good, but there has been one guy who try to do the minimum amount of work and try to talk us out of things. He has come a few times and it has been a little strange. I asked him specifically when he recommends doing a specific thing. He said during the spring and fall. It was spring then, but he said we had to wait until the next time. It was obvious he didn’t want to do anything more. When I ask him to do something and pressure him, he’d do it, but he wouldn't come out of his way to do anything extra. Although we have a neat, clean, house property, we live in the foothills and we have more pest than most because of where we live and we have had to call them back. Terminix provides a great service and I appreciate it.

Terminix comes out when they say they’re supposed to and most recently, they came for a regular routine. They tell me when they’re coming out and that’s fine with me so far. Normally, I'm not home when the technician comes out, but he emails me what he's done.

I recently remembered that I didn't get a bill from Terminix. I called them to find out and I didn't realize that my payment was overdue. The rep answered my questions and she was really polite and I paid the bill. The only issue I had was the phone line was garbled and it was like I was hearing other people talk on the line. I have had the termite inspection with Terminix since 2003, but, before that, my ex-husband and I used Terminix and we’ve always used them since I moved to this house in 1987. I have been doing the termite inspection once a year. I also had pest control for a while, but I decided I didn’t really need it. Terminix recently came to do the termite inspection and the experience was nice. I don’t kill all my brown recluse and Terminix kills everything else. I also have mice, but they didn’t really help with that. They told me to get traps, so I don’t need Terminix if I had to do it myself.
I get a notification that says Terminix would be at my house at such day, although they didn’t call and ask me. They didn’t schedule with me and they scheduled without me. Then, I’m supposed to call and say, “No, I can’t.” I assumed all that is automated, but it has never really changed. I considered going to somebody else just for that because I don’t work regular hours and it aggravates me to have somebody come on a day when I’m not aware. I’ve done this since 1987 and they haven’t done a thing about it. I like the actual work of Terminix except that.

I have roaches here and so far, I've had a good experience with their techs. But every time they left, within a couple of days, I had a whole bunch of roaches that flew over the place. That’s why I called about five times already for their service. Other than that, when their techs came out, they were on time and sometimes they came earlier than the timeframe they set. They were also very courteous and very nice. But since they've been spraying, the situation has gotten worse. More bugs keep showing up and a couple of days after the last tech came, I saw a big German roach that was about 10 times the size of a regular roach.

I bought this house in 2015 and it had Terminix. There's a termite problem in one of the windows in the garage and that’s where they put the traps in, so I kept them and so far they’ve done a good job. They come once a year and check it, and they usually call me and let me know when they’re gonna inspect. If there’s a need to be refilled, they do it.

One time Terminix's techs randomly stopped by the house. At the time, I didn't have a contract with them but eventually got one thereafter. They've been to my place twice and their techs have been friendly and helpful. They let me know what they're doing when they work. Pest activity seems to be okay since the recent service

Terminix comes out and do the quarterly maintenance for me. Initially, I went with them because I liked the fact that they're national, so I assumed that their standards are a little bit higher than normal. I have them for two years now and their techs always knock and let me know they're here. They always let me know what they're gonna be doing if I'm home and they’ve always been very nice. So far, the pest activity in my home is almost negligible and if I ever see any, it's usually right after it rains, so it's kind of understandable. I'm very satisfied with Terminix.
We enjoy reading about the excellent service our technicians perform. Thank you for the feedback and for being a Terminix customer.

Terminix came for a three month follow up and the schedule was all set up. I got an email or call about when they were coming. I really like the traps they use for mice and the trap catches voles right at the garage door. I can’t really find those anywhere. I have a vacant lot behind me so I have those field mice at a certain time of the year, and the traps work fine for me. It was the billing part that I had an issue with because I thought my husband would let them know that we would send them a check but the payment was done on auto-pay. It threw some things off balance because I have my budget. I was upset about that. But otherwise, the service part was fine.

Terminix comes every three months and they do the whole house. I get the same technician every time and he’s a great guy. He rings the doorbell and he tells me he’s here. When they first started coming, they didn’t leave a slip if I was not around. But now, I got them to leave a slip in the door, so that way I knew when they were here. The pest activity has been much less since they've been servicing our home. We’ve always had ants in the kitchen and then now that we got Terminix, we don’t have ants in the kitchen anymore. They do a great job.

I’m happy with Terminix and I don’t feel like changing. I had a lot of problems here and I always got service pretty quickly. When I said they gotta go up and check in the attic because we had rats up there, they had traps to take care of that. Then, the squirrels were eating into the areas in the roof and after they got in and did a lot of damage, they kept making noises and it would blow my mind. So, Terminix put all kinds of screen surround thing.
They also did preventative kind of things then they came regularly every few months to spray inside and outside. I pay for those routine sprays with a different price. But if something shows up or if I saw some roaches, I would call and they would come. I also had termites several years ago and at the time the house didn’t have a policy when we moved in, so we got termite prevention from Terminix. Since then, they’ve been doing different termite inspections and came a couple of times a year to just look for termites. And thank God I haven't had termites again. One time, I also got red ants and Terminix came and took care of that. So, if something comes up, they have been very reliable. Jason, my former guy, was really nice and I was so used to him. But I heard he was very sick and I kind of feel bad I didn’t try to call him.

Terminix comes out for a regular scheduled bug spray once every three months. They notify me about the appointment by email and texts, then they call usually the day before the tech comes out. He provides good service and is very professional and courteous. He comes to the door, lets me know he is here, and asks if there is any issue, then goes about his business. So far, the pest activity in my home has been low since I got Terminix and I would tell others that they have done a good job, so they should use them if they want.

We’ve been dealing with Terminix for 30 years now and so far, we don’t have any complaints. The work that they do is fine. They’re as good as anybody else. The only thing I don’t like is that they keep changing people. We used to have the same guy for 15 years. We’re in business too and I know how hard it is to keep people. But it’s nice to have the same person coming every month, so we do not have to babysit them when they come out. But since Terminix has been coming, we've had very little pest activity. We used to have a business, and they always came out to our business too. And they were wonderful. We’ve recommended them.

I had a little trouble getting my appointment scheduled with Terminix. I called and they forgot to send it to a scheduler, but they sent a guy out that day anyway and the tech was good. He went around and looked at what we needed. He wasn't there super long, but it worked. It took a few days for the treatment to take effect and he had told me that. We had a bee problem and he said I had to take the poison into the hive before it took effect, and it ended up working. I would recommend Terminix.

I've been with Terminix for five years and the service keeps things at bay as far as the insects are concerned. The service is good. We have them come in every month to make sure that our vermins are taken care of. The technicians are very nice and pleasant, and they give me brief explanations of what's going on here, so it's all good. They do their job and give me a report. And then, I get an email of the report on top of that. I would recommend them.

I was having termite issues and Terminix has the best warranty in the business so I called them. I told them I had a trail going outside of my house and they referred me to the guy who does it out here in this area. We set up an appointment and the guy came out. We talked about the price and what was gonna happen. He installed green little plastics they put chemicals on. I've been getting regular services and there has been no termite activity. They come out once a year and they came out last month to check on the units. The second tech that came was very nice and he explained everything to me. I asked if he could expose all the units so I don't hit them when I do my yard work and he did that.

Terminix comes out annually, in July, for termites and they tell us when they’re gonna come. They do their thing on the outside only, they don’t say anything, then they leave. The times that they come inside, all they do is go around the house, and look with their little flashlight. They say, “Well, you have no termites inside the house either,” and away they go. So, Terminix keeps termites away.

We had termites and it had been going on for less than a month before we got in touch with Terminix. All the technicians have been awesome, very nice, very cordial, and very cognizant of being in someone’s house and being respectful. We had them put in the termite traps and then they come out once a year to check them and make sure all the bait is full. We don’t have termites anymore in our house. Terminix is expensive but it's one of those necessary evil types of things. Otherwise, we haven't had any problems with them. It has been a good service and I'm sure if I needed them and if I saw an issue, they would come out.
