So I called Terminix for the first time because me and my partner just moved into a house. When I called they said that the original price of the first service is $189 but since I am law enforcement and they had a $50 promotion my cost would be $139. The guy came out for the service and I thought everything was good. I look at my bank account this morning and I was charged the full $189 even though I was promised $50 off. I don’t like being lied to and I think when I called into the customer service because of the error I can’t reach anybody. I think I will be disputing this transaction with the bank and canceling my service and going with another company.

I had an appointment today from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. When the technician failed to show by 7:00pm, I called the main number. The call representative tried to call the technician but he was not answering his phone. The call representative stated the technician would call me and that I should wait for another hour. It is now 8:00pm and still no one has shown up or called. Simply, terrible service.

My first experience with Terminix was awful! I had an appointment with confirmation email. We stayed home from 8-12. And they never showed up or called. We got it rescheduled for 2 days later again never showed up or called and I missed work. I was promised by 3 different people a manager would email and call me. Now it's almost been a week and no one has reached out. Warning, dont waste your time.

A few years back a visiting friend brought (gulp!) bed bugs into my home. I was unaware that this friend had them until it was too late. We purchased commercial sprays and discarded all of our furniture (probably over the top...) but I wanted to be sure we had eradicated all of them. I called Terminix to inspect afterward for peace of mind. The technician came to my home, but after a thorough inspection told me that he felt we had eliminated them. He did not charge me a single cent and gave me peace of mind so I could sleep again. A few months following we had to move (not because of the bed bugs). I wanted to be sure that the house we were moving to was "bed bug free" after what we had just been through. Again, the technician came to our new home, completed a thorough inspection, gave me peace of mind, and charged me nothing. I promised that I would always keep Terminix in mind for any future services. I upheld that promise!
After finding (and confirming) that we had found kissing bugs in our home (we have HORRIBLE bug luck!) I called Terminix out to spray. They quoted me a fair price and scheduled an appointment. I was fully expecting the price to "go up" once they got here. It didn't! I paid exactly what I was quoted over the phone with no surprises or on-the-spot sales. The technician was efficient, polite, friendly, and respectful. I wish all companies operated this way! Keep it up, Terminix!
We appreciate the time you spent to share your feedback! We’re glad to hear we were able to provide the service you needed.

Updated on 08/01/2019: Well they apologized for the CONTINUAL emails and assured me that my name has been removed from their call list. I received another one. NOT SURE WHAT I HAVE TO DO TO STOP THESE COUNTLESS EMAILS!!!! I DO NOT WANT TO USE THIS COMPANY.
Original Review: I have received as many as 3 emails in one week advertising their deals. I have unsubscribed more than once, reported the habitual emails as SPAM, sent an email, and called. They are unable to stop the emails I get. They want to be my pest control service but can't figure out how to stop the emails?

Terminix is very unprofessional. I had a scheduled an appointment and the day of my appointment if I hadn’t called I would have never known that they rescheduled my appointment a week back. I called and got 2 different answers from both reps and then they told me the manager was on vacation which is why my appointment got pushed back. I asked how is any of this my problem when someone scheduled me for today in any event I canceled service with them and would not recommend them to anyone EVER because the call center reps have scripted answers and no one gives courtesy calls nor offer any apologies or solution.

We recently discovered a potential rodent issue in our attic. I called and scheduled an appointment for a free inspection. The appt was scheduled for 7/23/19, from 10-noon. The appt time came and went with no technician arriving at my house. I called to inquire and was told the “Local office” didn’t confirm my appointment. I rescheduled and was told they could come on 7/25/19, from 8-10am and I would receive a confirmation call at 7am that morning. On 7/25/19 at 7:30am, I called to confirm that someone was coming out since I did not receive a confirmation phone call. I was informed that my appointment was scheduled for 7/26/19 from 8-10am. Ok, perhaps a slight miscommunication (again) but I was told that someone was coming on 7/26/19 and that I will receive a confirmation call within 30 min beforehand.
On 7/26/19, at 7:45am, I had not received a confirmation call and reached to Terminix AGAIN, for the 4th time in 7 days. I was told the rep couldn’t reach the “local office” to confirm but they provided me with the technician's name and they assured me someone was coming out. At 10:10am on 7/26/19, there was still no technician at my house. I called Terminix and the rep couldn’t reach the technician so they apologized and wanted to reschedule. I was no longer able to let this company waste my time so I did not reschedule my services with them and actually cancelled our existing, quarterly exterior pest prevention services.
This company will no longer get any business from me, nor will they ever be referred. The fact that they failed not once, not twice but THREE times in 4 days is ridiculous. All I ever heard from reps was how the “local office” was at fault. Perhaps the organization should revisit the blame they push elsewhere and take some responsibility. It’s unfortunate that the company we had been using for pest control for the last 3 years was bought out by Terminix earlier this year. Customer service is extremely lacking and there is little care to the concerns from the homeowner. For those looking for a company to help with pest control, I would advise looking elsewhere.

Called about fleas and the first time they came to spray my home, first they were a full hour late. They said they would be there between 8am and noon and didn't get there till 1pm. Spent less than 10 minutes in my house and left. He only sprayed around things. Didn't even get in the corners or behind anything. I was told to wait 4 hours then I can return home. Once I returned home I did everything by the book to help get rid of the flea, vacuumed and removed anything that could have flea in it. Absolutely nothing changed, my house was still infested. I have no pets. I got the fleas from a couch that was given to me, which has also been removed from my home. I called the next day to Terminix and at first the manager, Mike tried to say I wasn't doing my part, as in treating my pet or vacuuming. I told him I have no pets and I vacuumed 7 times.
Finally being on hold for some time they said they would be back the day after. Same guy came and I stayed in the house this time with him and he tried to do the same thing. I had to follow him all around and move my furniture just to get him to spray that area and made me feel like I was asking him to walk on water or something. I asked he wasn't spraying the whole floor not just the corners and I was told that's not how we do it when I know for a fact that is how other companies do. And sure enough when I went back home waiting 4 hours to return again, nothing changed. Don't ever use this company. They will take your money and not do their job and then try to put it on you, like you did something wrong.

If I could give this negative stars I would. I canceled services with Terminix before because their techs kept saying no signs of spiders on premises even though I purposely left spiderwebs up for them to see and sent pictures to tell them why I canceled the first time. Stupid me, I went back to them and I've had poor pest service provided multiple times starting on 5/18 and requested a refund since I was still having the same issues. First I told our tech (Derrick) before he came we were having issues with carpenter bees if he could address that issue which he said yes. We were away and when I received the email, I noticed it wasn't addressed and when we returned home, still had carpenter bees in the same location I told the tech. I called and complained and said I wanted a refund for the service since I went out and bought product to take care of the bees myself.
I was informed I would need at least a follow-up to take care of it before a refund would be provided if I still wasn't pleased. So I said sure since we had some ant problems and would need bait stations for them as well. They sent the same tech back out and simply sprayed the ants that were there and left no ant stations, so a few days later we had the same ant problems. Again I went out and bought product to take care of the service myself and called for a refund again since the services still weren't provided. I just got off the phone with them, 7/25, two months later after multiple phone calls about the refund and that it was being processed. Now I am being told it was denied since services were rendered, and their 100% guaranteed or money back isn't followed.
You are better off going to your local stores and taking care of your pest problems yourself since they don't honor their guarantees or services. Will never recommend them to anyone looking for a pest service in the future. Also, their supervisors are always in a meeting or engaged on another call every time you call in. So whatever your problem is, the customer service rep can't help you and someone will be in contact 24-48 hours which doesn't happen.

A Terminix employee came to our home promoting discounted services for our neighborhood. We reserved our appointment day by giving him our credit card info. Someone did show up on our appointment day but he sat in his truck for 15 minutes and then left. On Monday we Terminix charged us $85. When I called for a refund I was given the run around and today I was told we were charged for services done on Friday. I got angry and yelled at them that no services were done, I want my money back, and they can't do this to people. They hung up on me. This company is a scam and is full of liars and thieves! I am letting everyone know how I was treated and look forward to helping this company lose business like I lost my money. I had services "supposedly" done on 5/23/2019 as I was schedule to have but the service technician Eric never did what he said he said he did and was going to do. But surely enough I was charged for services that I never received. His supervisor called me and was upset and by the time he finished my service contract was cancelled by both agreement and was supposed to receive a refund but after 2 months later still haven't received it back on my credit card.
When I called back they told me my refund was processed on June 9th and when I received my credit card statement nothing of a refund from Terminix still. I called again and they just told me after hanging up on me 3 times, that it was processed on July 10th but when I called corporate office they said my refund is "pending". My question is why is my refund still "PENDING" after 2 months from my last service? This is ridiculous and horrible customer service for them but they don't seem to care about their customers as long as they get their money because this company was just proven to me it's all about money not about making a customer, instead of a sale!!! The service technician before Eric was Noel and she was amazing and very professional. I wish I had her again but that's ok because I understand how this works!!! Noel great!!! Eric not!!!

We purchased a drywall termites treatment back in 10/18 for which we paid 1042.00. I found out a week ago 7/15/19 that I have subterranean terminates and still have drywall termites. I called Terminix and spoke to Barry and Carl at my local branch, and basically I was told that I need to purchased additional treatments and that they could give a discount on a tent without sending a home inspector/technician to my house to find exactly was is the issue. I completed understand that I didn’t purchase a treatment for subterranean termites; but should this issue be brought to the homeowner attention when a home inspection is done before something more serious happens such as having collapse ceilings like it happened to us? Otherwise the home inspector didn’t do his job right?
I had two appointments with terminix so far, one with a technician and home inspector/sales rep basically come out look at the pictures I have and tried to sell me additional treatments again without doing a home inspection. I called a different company to do a home inspection and they told me that in fact I have subterranean termites which those are not treated with a tent and that I still have drywall termites. From my only conversation I had with Barry and Carl- supervisor/manager and I can tell that this company doesn't care about their customers concerns unless you are willing to buy additional services from the company. They care about selling additional treatments and they conduct themselves in a very unprofessional and disrespectful way to customer when they don't agree with them.
Barry the manager told me that Terminix is not responsible for any damages to the home after you purchased their treatment and that it's written on the contract. I have been dealing with terminix for a week now and I'm getting the run around since I was honest with them and I told them that I will not purchase any additional treatments from their company. I had two appointments with terminix and in those two appointments both the technician and sales rep/home inspector were between 30-50 minutes passed my appointment time. I had to asked the sale rep/home inspector to leave my house today after the way he conducted himself, in a very disrespectful way since I was not agreeing with him. And after the fact I waited for him even when he arrived almost one hour late and told me he didn't do home inspections when previously in a phone conversion with him I told him that I needed an attic/home inspection.
Terminix over charges for their treatments; I have called two different companies in regards to getting the drywall termites treatment; same one I paid terminix for it and it is half the price terminix charges for it and they will do additional inspections and you don't need to paid extra for warranty like terminix does. I have sent two emails to terminix asking for a different supervisor to call me but as of today no other supervisor/manager has call or email back. If I could give them zero stars I will. Please do your research when it comes to pest control companies. I will not recommend this company to anyone.

We have had a Terminix Guarantee since at least 7/1/2004. The guarantee says that they will treat our home and property (bait system) and annually inspect the home for any damage. If there is damage found while we have paid the annual fees, the guarantee covers the repairs is any new damage to our home. Terminix has annually inspected our home. In September, 2018, we found termite damage in the drywall of in several places in our family room. We contacted Terminix, it was inspected and found to be accurate that there was termite damage. At the time, we understood that our local office was without a manager, but they did send people to take a look and confirm that we were eligible for repairs based on the Guarantee, which we were up-to-date on any invoices.
Over the next couple of months, we struggled to get something going - at first they said that we could get repairs done in time for Thanksgiving. Time passed, and we were told that we would get repairs finished started and completed by Christmas. After the first of the year, there was a new manager. We were still waiting on plans for repairs to be made. In February, the manager told us that their crews were very busy. I offered to get a local contractor, whom I had worked with, involved to help out. The local manager said that he had spoken to his boss and that we needed to get some more information, but we could work on getting repairs made.
On 3/1/2019, the local manager signed an MOU outlining the work to be performed by the contractor. The contractor performed the services and the Terminix manager and/or other personnel provided several inspections - both before the 3/1/2019 and after the 3/1/2019 date. Outside treatment along the foundation of the area identified as the entry point was made along with putting some chemicals in the affected wall areas. On 4/11/2019, I provided a copy of the invoice from the contractor to the local manager - sent via attachment to an email. The manager came out with another Terminix employee and they reinspected the areas. I was informed that the invoice would be submitted. In conversations, we estimated 4-6 weeks for payment. Today is 7/20/2019. No payment has been received.
The local manager has indicated that there was a check sent, which we did not receive. The local manager said a check was going to be sent to him via FedEx and he would deliver it to me. I have had numerous stories on where the payment is - in process, in review, etc. I have not been contacted by Terminix with any questions or concerns about the invoice or repairs. Every indication from the local manager has and continues to be payment is coming. So, this whole problem started in September, 2018. Today we are in July, 2019 - 10 months has passed. We have followed up, provided every bit of information, opened our home for inspections and treatments. It is totally unclear who is holding up this payment. The contractor contacted us about 30 days after he submitted his invoice saying that he had bills from the job to meet. We have paid him in full for his work because I want him to come back to work for me when I have any future needs.
I have asked who to contact beyond the local manager, but have not been provided any contact information. Friends who recently built a home were looking for a company to provide pest services. They told us that after hearing this story, they opted not to contact Terminix. The local manager is always friendly, but we are totally unhappy with the service Terminix has provided in holding up their end of the Guarantee that we was approved and promised. There has been more than ample time for Terminix to review the invoice, ask questions, and to write a check. I assume that like any business, large or small, the company is used to paying invoices from their vendors on a timely basis. 3 months seems like more than ample time.

I found a few centipedes or millipedes (not sure) in my room and I called Terminix. The guy was nice when he came out, but he didn’t do the best job. He only sprayed where my bookshelf was where we saw a couple. I asked him if they would be in my clothes or in my bed, and he said no and it was ok to sleep in there. I didn’t! Thank God! The next day I went to start to do laundry and there were a few in my clothes that were alive. They were 1/2 centimeter and smaller. I flipped out and called Terminix. They were terrible, never got back to me. I called and set up an appointment and they couldn’t come that day. They made me wait until 3 days later even though it was because the technician was not thorough. I was promised the service manager would call and they didn’t. I also got disconnected a couple of times. Also I finally got the technician's number but it was “busy” and then “disconnected". Totally ridiculous. Waste of time.

Terminix set up service for our home. It was to be today between the hours of 8-12. We have a lot of animals and were told to put them away from the area. They would call 1/2 prior to service. We caged the animals at 8 and waited. By 11:30 we heard nothing from the company. I called and was told 'the technician had already been there'. I told her that was not true because our property is totally fenced and gated. She said 'I don't think they would lie'. Ha! All I got was lies from there out. Called again at noon and was told 'a supervisor would get back to me within a half hour'. No call. I called again at 1:10 and was continuously put on hold.
45 minutes later I speak to the supervisor who tells me she 'spoke to the area manager and she could set up a new appointment for Monday'. We have an event Saturday so Monday would be too late. Besides the heat index is over 100 and our animals have been cooped up in cages for 5 hours and we have had to spray them down to keep them cool. I asked to speak to the area manager directly and was told he would call me within a half hour. An hour later he calls me and informs me that he does not service my area. What a complete waste of time. DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICE. Call Orkin or someone more reliable.

Several years ago I hired Terminix to install insulation in my home. They measured my house, calculated how much insulation was needed and I paid to have it installed. As a disabled veteran of about 70 years I could not climb into attic to see if they got every corner but poked my head in and it looked great - the installer assured me they used all the insulation and it would be great.
Several years later Terminix was called about squirrels in my attic - their technician took photos of the infestation and I noted there was no insulation where they took photos - they said it was original insulation that has settled. I then asked if it was their insulation they blew in and they said no - was original old fiberglass. I asked they have someone call me about this as I paid for the entire house and they did about half of it. NO ONE EVER CALLED and repeated calls to their offices went unanswered.
I finally filed a complaint on their website - and was told basically 'Too bad old man.' and rudely dismissed. I have now filed with the BBB and advise anyone doing business with Terminix or ServiceMaster (the parent company) to be very careful as they cheat people when they can. I had been using their services for over 20 years and they showed me no respect or courtesy.

A year ago in 2018, I suspected that I had termites so I called Terminix. They came out and confirmed my suspicion. I scheduled an appointment with Terminix immediately. The termite problem was resolved. This year in May, I was contacted by Terminix indicating that I needed them to come out and service the bait pods. There would be an additional cost for this service of $349.85. I contacted Terminix, paid the service fee in full, scheduled a date for Terminix to come out. No one came out at all, I called Terminix after checking my security surveillance footage, no one had come out at all. I was pretty upset that I had been lied to.
I contacted Terminix and share this information with the customer service department. I asked for the location of the branch, each time I called them, I was told that someone would be contacting me within 24 hours. I contacted them almost daily for weeks. To this to-date, no one has called me, except for the 866=587-0101 number to ask for feedback on the last person I had spoken with.
Finally, I realized that I had a cell phone number for Mr. David **, I called Mr. **, he apologized profusely about not getting back to me in a timely manner to resolve this issue. He said that he did not have the ability to issue my long overdue refund, however, Mr. Mark ** does have the authority. He would discuss my situation with Mr. ** as soon as he returned from the convention. Instead, he contacted the customer service department at 800-565-1425. Instructed them not to give me any information about my claim and my account was closed. He did not even tell them why. I was told that they were not allowed to speak to me any further about my account. I attempted to call Mr. ** on his cell, however, he has blocked my phone number. Who does that? This is a nationally known business, for $349.85 they chose to treat a customer this way. They have their 13 bait pods back.

Soon after inspector had left someone from the company called me and came out, installed the bait system surrounding area of my home. And also the utility guy knock on my door and told me he had to cut a hole for the person who will be coming out treating inside of my home, but he didn't have any shoe covers and the ladders to cut a hole above the ceiling.
We have a lot of rain month of June here in OHIO so when he had came in my home track all the mud when he was putting bait systems outdoor. On top of that he have asked me if I had the ladder, after I had provided him with my ladder he had cut small hole and I have asked him, "When will someone will come out treat my home?" He had told me he is not sure - he is just utility guy, and he will call the office find out when. He was very friendly. When he have called ask when will the person come out treat my home they must have directed him how to treat my home. He have only cut one hole which was in my bedroom not in my bathroom which was most affected area, and I have again asked him when will someone come out. He have told me the following day.
I have waited - no one showed up and I have call the inspector - he didn't answer so I have left message. I have check my CC information - they have already took the money amount of $2267.44. I have call the company on local branch which I is connected to 800 on their website. I had asked person, "Why did you took my money without completing the service?" They have told me it is mark as completed. I have ask, "How is that possible? You guys haven't treated inside of my home." She simply had told me she will created ticket for me. It will take 24 to 48 hours someone will contact me. The phone call I have never received.
Now I have termites coming out from kitchen walls. I have call the inspector and send him a text and the pictures of the termites coming out on my kitchen wall. I can't get any response. I have finally called to complain. Again they have told me someone will be contacting me within 24 to 48 hours. On after countless calls to 800-835-5869, on 7-2 -2019 I have finally got the person who is willing go an extra mile for me. Her name was Rachael. Again I have to tell her what all the issues that I have. She then had told me she will send the information to upper management team and I will hear from them next 24 to 48 hours.
However I have never received phone call from upper management team - but I did get a call from 877-682-5568. Say someone will be out on 7-6-2019 which was Saturday give me a total inspection free of charge, so I had waited that day canceling my plans. Needless to say no one came out again. I have call the company about the schedule they told me. There is no inspection scheduled for me, so I have decided to call the 877 number. Before I can get one word in it I got transfer to regular main number. With aggravation I have decided to call that number back but I got hang up on. On 7-18-2019 I notice, on 7-16-2019 I notice termite is now eating my TV stand. Yet again I have call the 800 number - again waiting on someone to call me. When I got home my security cams showed a man came by while I was not home. Sprinkled some powder in spots around the front yard and sides. Used a sprayer around perimeter areas. I spent 3 thousand dollars to treat my home and many areas were overlooked. I went to walk down my front deck steps and the bottom step gave way and broke off and the wood was filled with termites. I called Terminix and they sent a man to come over and he looked around and I was told he was going to put us on the schedule to be treated. I am still waiting. I also just recently had our yearly inspection and was told everything was fine. All he did was walk around the outside of my home. Never came in to inspect. Was told by him that they had to make a separate appointment to inspect the inside of my home.
No one called or came back. Oh but the guy who walked around my home did come back and then said, "Oops I was already here." I am very annoyed at this point and would like to know what you guys are planning to do. You would think for 3 thousand dollars I should not be having issues with termites. I should have had my house tented and that would have been that but I was told this would work well. It didn't and I was talked into paying for a 3 year contract. Now I wish I had not and just went with another company and done the tenting. Very unhappy customer waiting.

I have been incredibly disappointed in our Terminix service. The pest control specialist came out 2 times (May 28, 2019 and June 6, 2019) and we still had ants as of June 26th (trying to give it enough time to work). We called/texted again for another treatment on June 27 and June 28 and he wouldn't call us back. I asked for a refund and canceled on June 29th only to be told they can't refund us because the specialist only marked he came out once (email to Terminix sent on July 12th with a no refund response sent back on July 12th).
I emailed again on July 12th with a response from Terminix on July 15th saying they cannot refund for failed treatments and that I have to continue paying to get this resolved. Terminix is a shady company who doesn't stand by their satisfaction guarantee/money back. I have been trying to get them to refund us our money because they didn't kill the ants, but they are saying they can't. I would recommend finding someone (anyone) else or doing it yourself if you want to kill the bugs! I do not recommend Terminix to anyone and would give them a "0" star rating if it was possible!

Honestly to do a decent job would take pages and pages. So, start from the "end", maybe. Sold house with contract(2). I called to let them know and the new owners name. First I get a call scheduling a inspection, told them, "Sorry I already told you I sold the house." Second, an email address to the new owner but to my email address. Went on FB to complain and was told, "We will escalate the problem." Next day, I get a call from the inspector telling me how come I'm not home for the inspection, and then he had the gall to ask me to give him a good review for the call???? The history prior to this is just as bad, calls, no one showing up till the next day, two guys showing up an hour apart for the same inspection. Cust. service telling me that my annual would be reduced $25 for a no show and then later telling me that they know nothing about that, so never saw that $25.
One time the inspector smelled so bad that I made him leave my house as he was stinking up the entire house with his odor. At first, the technician's wife would call to schedule a visit only a few weeks after they had inspected. I am quite sure this was he could try to find something and sell me another product which is all he seemed to care about. The product might be good, but the service center is awful, the techs are ok, some good, that one, I think was someone I never want on my property again. Terminix, no thanks. If I need this kind of service I will try a different company. I had Massey for lawn, and the service from them was EXCELLENT, so I would go there if pest service was needed.

Terminix is the worst company I dealt with. I made two contracts with them for a total of $ 2,000 for termite and pest control. The manager I signed the contract with never answered any calls or messages after the contract was signed. I went through may troubles in scheduling the services with people that were not showing up and I had to stay home and lose hours of work to wait. They didn't even have the decency to call. I spent hours on the phone and despite the promises to give a better service it wasn't getting any better. Not to mention that they did not solve my termite problems. I have to say that there was only one person that cared about trying solving the problems. Ronny the Service Manager for Terminix.

I was not going to be home for the most recent automatically scheduled appointment so I requested a change of appointment online and got an email confirmation that my request was received. Regardless, the technician called me on the originally scheduled date to say that he was coming out (mind you, I was out-of-town and on the west coast, so he called me at 5:30 am!). I said that I could not be there, so he apologized and said that he would have a service manager call me to schedule a convenient appointment. Nobody ever called. They automatically scheduled another day/time. My husband made a point of being home that day (had to move appointments around to accommodate). They showed up and talked to my husband and he indicated that we wanted both inside and outside service (as we have for years!).
The tech did the outside service only and then left without ever knocking on the door to come inside or even getting a signature from my husband. When my husband told me they left unexpectedly I called Terminix immediately. They contacted the tech and asked him to return to complete the service. I was assured that he would return, but nobody showed up and nobody called. I called Terminix again the next day and also chatted online with a representative and said that I wanted someone to come out and complete the job. They said that they 'didn't have access to the calendar to schedule an appointment' but would have someone call me within the next 24-48 hours. They have both my home and cell phone numbers. Nobody called. I have contacted them every day since then and get the same response.
It has now been 4 days and I have not heard from anyone, nor do I have another appointment scheduled (which is incredibly inconvenient, because it means taking more time off work whenever they chose to show up!) AND they have already billed me, of course. I am incredibly disappointed in the technician, the service manager, and the customer service and lack of response that I have received. I have spent about 2 hours on the phone or online the last few days trying to get them to come back out to complete the job and do the inside service. I have called the local Omaha office multiple times, and the phone line is constantly busy (probably off the hook). Very close to cancelling my service and going with someone else who actually cares about taking care of their customers!

After one full year of ineffective treatment for the small black "sugar" ants, I was continually billed for the poor treatments. Contract stated if treatment is ineffective additional treatment would be provided and no charge. Which makes sense, why would someone be billed for treatment that was not productive. Salesman stated the one year can be a trial with NO auto renew. However Terminix stated after the one period ended that the salesman was not permitted to state that even AFTER he hand wrote that provision on the contract and signed it. So not only does Terminix not treat effectively but does not honor contracts.

We have called several times; each time we were told we would get a call back within 24 hours. No one has called back. We have tried every number listed for Terminix with the same results. Instead, they showed up whenever they chose and treated the outside and never came inside. They charged us for these treatments without any signature, and then refused to respond to our phone calls and direct questioning of why they could not come in before we opened. They decided on their own to stop giving us what they said they would when we set up our account, and completely refused to even inform or talk about it to us.

I've been using Terminix since March. In April, I had a technician scheduled to come out during a 3 hour time period. As I waited for 3 hours, no one showed up. I never received an email, text, or call about it. I called back and had someone rescheduled. The representative I spoke with was rude and didn't care to help with my issue. The technician came and did a bad job, he was so stingy with spraying certain areas. I had one technician who came out and did an excellent job though I do not remember his name.
Fast forward to last week. I had someone scheduled to come out last Wednesday from 2 pm-5 pm (did I mention I have to take time off from work to schedule this). I received a notification from my alarm video surveillance at 11 am that day that someone rang my doorbell. I look a look at the video and there was the Terminix technician, too early. I never got an email or any type of notification. The technician then calls me to apologize and say he has to reschedule because of an emergency. He LIES and promises to come back on Monday from 2 pm-5 pm, which never happened. The technician texted me saying he would come this morning as well and then told me he couldn't make it because someone else was scheduled for tomorrow at 10 am. So the technician lied to me twice.
I then received an email from Terminix stating he sprayed the outside of my property and left which is A LIE! I have video surveillance that shows he DID NOT SPRAY ANYTHING. I live in a condo, so if he did spray, it would be the front door, which never happened because I have everything on my video surveillance which covers my front door, balcony, and indoor areas. You cannot access my balcony unless you walk inside. So I asked the technician why I received an email saying he completed the service and he told me to ignore it. I then called to complain to a representative over the phone who said she would have a manager call me within 24 hours (which was ANOTHER LIE) and would reschedule soon. None of that ever happened.
I spoke with another representative via chat and they told me the technician performed services (which isn't true because my video surveillance shows otherwise). They said they would have the regional manager review the GPS which is not accurate. I then chatted with another representative yesterday to confirm this technician would come out today, which never happened. The representative continued to tell me the technician already came and performed service even though I SENT PROOF THE TECHNICIAN DIDN'T (texts and I still have video surveillance). I received a voicemail from someone named Mike stating he wanted to discuss the issue with me today and he also mentioned he would send an email...never got that.
So basically you will pay $99 each quarter to have technicians not show up, representatives that will cover for technicians not showing up and providing false documentations and then a manager who will pretend to care about your awful service. Still waiting to speak with the regional manager so can let them know of the awful service I received and show them that the technician lied about performing services at my property.

Rescheduled for Saturday from 1-3 pm. Ok this works better for me. At 2:35 pm no one has called me so I’m getting worried. I called and the rep super nice. "Yes I will call the technician." "Sure sure." Placed on hold, after a few minutes, "Sorry the technician did not answer the call." "Ummm ok. Thank you for trying."
After 3:30 pm now, I call. New rep answers phone. "Let me call and see where the tech is at. Oh sorry. There is NO tech contact information on the account?" But wait how can that be? Previous rep was not able to get ahold of them because the tech did not answer the phone? New rep, "Please wait 30 more minutes. Please please please." Sure... Terminix is competent for getting rid of termites. I've had no problems with termites since I signed up with them. However, having contracted with them for "pest control," I've had to stock up on my own supply of Raid, ant baits and the like. When I most need the service, the technicians will be no-shows, and when I call to ask what gives, the appointments will have mysteriously vanished from their records. Also at peak times, the operators at the central office will assert that they can't find an available appointment and will "contact the local office"--which I have no way of reaching, and which never gets back to anyone. I've spent hours on the phone with the central office (the only place you can reach) in the past two weeks. Meanwhile, each day I find insects in more and more places, so that my house is gradually becoming overrun with them--which would not have happened if Terminix had bothered to keep its appointments in the first place.

I have hung 2 fly traps that hold 2000 flies each, and have another hanging up, and I still have flies. If services were actually rendered, my hedges in front should not look like a Halloween prop, and there shouldn’t be webs hanging from my vehicle parked in my driveway.
Their claim is that the last service performed was 3 months ago. They use professional strength pesticides, supposedly. If services were rendered, the pests should stay away A LOT longer than 3 months with regular maintenance. I should not have to deal with poisonous spiders the size of quarters, hoards of cockroaches the size of quarters, and swarms of flies after they sprayed their “professional strength” insecticide, regardless if it has been 3 months or not! I had service with Terminix for a few years. Each time that a technician came out I was thoroughly satisfied. For reasons BEYOND my control at my place of employment, I was unable to pay for my services back in February of this year, until a few weeks ago. Each time that a representative called me, I explained the hardship and informed them that as soon as I was able to I would definitely pay it. On June 5th I was able to pay my bill. I was informed by Customer Service to wait a few days and then I'd be able to reschedule services again. A few days passed, I called back, scheduled an appointment and set up Auto Pay. A few moments later I got a call from a Supervisor stating that I would never ever be able to use Terminix again because I was late twice paying my bill. In disbelief I stated ok and hung up the phone.
A week later I called back to speak to a supervisor. I was transferred to several different representatives before I was told that a supervisor would call me by the end of the day. That call was never returned. A week later I called again to speak to a supervisor. After being transferred several times to the wrong person and put on hold for sixteen minutes and 22 seconds, I hung up. A few moments later the first supervisor who initially called me stated "I already told you that you could not be reinstated." After explaining my situation, in which I took as being disgusted, she stated that someone would call me back. A few minutes later a male supervisor called me. I explained my situation again. I was told that it wasn't his problem and that it was my fault because when I don't pay my bill the technicians don't get paid.
Several times I requested the number to corporate. It was never given to me. His response was, "What for?" I explained I just wanted to file a complaint regarding my dissatisfaction. He then stated."Well. What do you want to accomplish?" I stated, "Nothing." He never gave me Corporate's number. He stated, "It's just going to come back to me anyway." I hung up the phone. It's very very disappointing that things happen beyond one's control. I made my payment even though it was late. But to be told that I am not allowed to ever use Terminix again was mind blowing. Oh yeah. I was told to find another service that could accommodate my needs. WOW. Several people that I recommended to use Terminix have now declined. Very very very very disappointed in Terminix. More than two months later, on 04/23/2019, Mr ** replied: “If it is determined that the termites are only in this new kitchen cabinets and nowhere else, we can fumigate, but the cost to do this would be passed onto you. You should then go after the cabinet retailer/manufacturer, as they introduced them back into your home. Terminix would not be liable in this case… If they (termites) do swarmed, we can discuss tenting.” Needless to say, I was very disappointed with this email. I have no idea who the cabinets’ retailer is. When I moved to this house the cabinets were already here and I don’t even know the previous owner of the house.
At that point termite activity was intense; mounds of pellets were everywhere and were falling on our foods. I had no alternative but replacing the cabinets which costed us thousands of dollars. This was something that could have been avoided by an early effective treatment or fumigation. When the infected cabinets were removed from the kitchen we found termites’ holes in the walls, termites, and termite larvae inside the cabinets. I explained all this to Mr. ** via phone call about a month ago. He said he would arrange fumigation for my home, and once again, he never called back. I seriously need my house get fumigated! I am extremely disappointed with the service and treatment I have received from this company. If I don’t see a prompt solution to this, I will have to address this issue at the highest level.

Last summer, we brought on Terminix to deal with issues with black ants that seemed to be taking over our house. They told us they weren't carpenter ants, and they did some spraying and some little bait traps. We had them come quarterly (and occasionally in between) and finally this summer, it was so bad that after they came 3-4 times, we just cancelled the services because we could buy our own bait traps for less than they were charging us for visits. Finally we couldn't take it anymore and took down a wall and it was completely infested with... CARPENTER ANTS. Exactly what we were told we didn't have. This could have been resolved a YEAR ago if Terminix knew what they were doing. Orkin is coming to take care of the problem for us.

We had to finally notify BBB. We are at our wits end. They have not done their due diligence and getting rid of our problem. They let the problem go for over three weeks without even returning our phone calls in between treatments. Every time we try to contact this office we were told, "We will take care of it, we will take care of it.' No one will call us back. Dan the person responding to this is the one who never returns phone calls even when you contact customer service and the corporate offices. He let three weeks go by in between our phone calls and the only way he would respond was if we contacted the corporate offices. We have had to contact the corporate office and every visit we have gotten them out to our house because Dan would not recall return any phone calls.
One of the visits he showed up 3 1/2 hours late and only had a quarter of a can of spray in his container and said he be done in 15 minutes, that is not a treatment. He scheduled an appointment with his employee when the employee wasn't even working that day and had us sitting all day long with no call or anything, and then showed up with a small amount of liquid in a container, walked into our house with no protective clothing on and said, "I'll be done in 15 minutes." We have never been bug free from day one. I don't know how they expect us to pay $2200 for a bug eradication when we have never been without us bug in our home. To say we have expired our 90 day guarantee when someone still has the same problem they started with, when someone still has the same problem you started with.
We have been without our belongings in our house for months. His own employee told us he left Dan's branch because there were too many complaints at Dan's branch. We absolutely do not agree to have to pay above the 2,200 to eradicate our issue when Dan let way too much time lapse between treatments then tried to tell us the bites my son was getting was spider bites. He does not return calls. He lets weeks go by while you are being bit by bugs and only responds if you send a complaint to the corporate offices. He got our contract wrong and told us he needs to train his employees better and would take care of it after we had been calling for months and said, "I'll get back to you" that Friday, that was three weeks ago. We sent him pictures of the bites on my son and husband and he would not return our calls.
We asked corporate to change us to a different branch early on when he refused to return our calls. She even tried to get him on the phone and was unable. To me his not calling us letting weeks go by was to run out our guarantee so he could now say we need to pay him more. How do you start a guarantee before you rid a home of the problem you hired them for? This has been a nightmare for us. Now he wants to charge us more money? Absolutely not. He has not been professional from day one by never returning our calls and scheduling appts when his worker was not working then showing up without the mattress casings and a tiny amount of spray and only staying 15 min. 4 hours after our scheduled appt time. We have been more than patient with this company. We want what we paid for and that is a bug free home. He has not diligently done anything. We have had to contact corporate over and over to even get a call back from Dan.
We even begged him two weeks ago to call and he still has not called us. He only responded to this complaint. He only responds if he gets a complaint from corporate and now we had to go to BBB because we cannot get anywhere with this company. His own employee told us he wasn't short staffed and got too many complaints that's why he would no longer be our guy and as far as he knew he had not hired anyone new. All while we were desperately trying to get him to call us back because we still had bugs. How can a warranty start before you get rid of the bugs? We have been told so many different stories depending on who you get on the phone. Dan has not done due diligence with us at all. You can't ever get him to call you. Then three weeks go by while the bugs are breeding?!? Seriously. This has been a nightmare for this family.
We picked Terminix because of its reputation and name and spent triple what other companies quoted us. Dan has said more than once as an excuse "Perhaps I need to train my employee better" when there is a conflict in what he says and what they say. He does not seem to know what is going on and we are told something different every time we speak to anyone from this branch. We have been through a nightmare and are still living it and Dan has made it worse by never returning our calls when we were bit between treatments allowing the bugs to breed. We do not accept this at all. Had they truly done due diligence and kept their word this would not still be going on. We were told when signing the contract "No worries, we will come out as many times as we need to and we will get rid of the bugs on day one." Then after they got our money we could not get Dan to return our calls.
He said when he showed up with hardly any chemicals as one of our treatments four hours late without the bed covers he would be back the following week with he covers. We were bit the next day and it took weeks again to get him to bring the bed covers and treat our home. This is absolutely unacceptable. We begged this man to return our calls and he would not call us. We have recently called corporate again, spoke to Sabrina who said she would call us back because we could not get this taken care of. We get "We are sorry you are having problems" and say "We will get back to you in 24/48 hours" and no one calls back. He had to call her again today as Dan has yet to fix our contract. We have beefed to change branches, we have begged to get our calls returned by Dan when we got bit right after the treatments.
We paid 2,200 and have yet to be bug free because he let weeks go by between phone calls allowing the bugs to mature and breed. Now he wants more money? We just want what we paid for and for the company we put our faith in to do what they promised. Return our calls and get rid of the bugs they assured us they would do. This has affected us financially, emotionally and now jeopardizing my husband's job due to the bites on his face. Dan has not done due diligence at all. Even the corporate office could not get him on the phone. We get apologies from everyone but Dan for what we are going through. No we do not accept this response. He tried to tell us the bed bug bites my son got a day after they left were spider bites. He now has ten on his arm and some on his leg and my husband now has small ones on his face. Not spider bites.
If Dan has not let weekend and weeks go by between our calls we would not be in this situation. His lack of response has caused us a mess and for a failure in this eradication of the bugs. His own employee confided in us that he left his branch because he had too many complaints. He even admitted he needed to train his employees better. We chose Terminix because of its reputation, now we truly wish we had not. 06/18/2019 BBB MORE INFO RECEIVED FROM THE CONSUMER : ***Document Attached*** Contract doesn't even have our signature on it. They sent a rep out who promised me all of these great things including getting rid of my rodent problem guaranteed. Well I wanted the mice gone so I agreed to financing almost 2,000 for unlimited service for 2 years. Initial visit the young lady came out and barely did anything. She sprayed and set some traps. 4 weeks later we were still seeing evidence of the mice. Called them up for another appointment. They sent someone out who only sprayed two rooms which was not what I wanted. I wanted an exterior inspection. Called them again to tell them what I wanted. They made another appointment only for the day to come and the inspector tell me they double booked and he would be coming out but that he would come out the following day. I said, "Ok fine."
Next day came. No call, no show. Called Terminix again to complain about this. The rep over the phone apologized repeatedly and set up another appointment. Date and time came. Once again no call, no show. I called Terminix again telling them I wanted to cancel services immediately and wanted the finance charges removed. The rep explained it has to go to management and I would have to wait and hear from them. Save your time, money and frustration and go with another company because Terminix are frauds. Terminix provided my refund in August.
Original Review: June 13, 2019
I had someone come to my door asking if I was interested. I was. I signed up for 4 treatments (1 year). I was told they would spray around the perimeter of my home, spray under my sinks, etc., take care of the ants I had been seeing in the kitchen, and do something about the carpenter bees around my deck. They set up an appointment for a Monday afternoon between 4-5. Instead they came early in the morning, around 10 saying they were in the neighborhood. My wife was home at the time. It was pouring rain. All this guy did was put 2 mouse traps in my basement. I have never had mice!
I called the next day and was told he would come back out for another fee. I told her I just wanted to cancel my contract and get a refund. She said the 'manager' would call me back. No call back for 2 days. Just an email saying I was scheduled for another appointment (that I did not ask for). I called again and was told a 'manager would call me back to set up my cancellation and refund'. Four so called service managers. Called me back over the next 2 days - I finally got someone to agree to cancel my 'service' and I would get a refund of $109 for the first 'non-visit'. Two weeks later I still have not received a refund nor confirmation my contract was cancelled. Do NOT use Terminix. It is a rip-off.

The next day I called to make sure they were coming. The lady I talked to said they have me in the system and would be at my house from 8-12. The time went from 8-10 to now 8-12. Ok so it increased 2 more hours but I was patient since Terminix is a professional reputable business. Well noon time had passed now and no one came. I called again and the lady on the phone said she was sorry they're late and to wait 30 more minutes. It is now 1:30 and no one still didn’t show up. I couldn’t wait anymore because I had plans.
Terminix never called me to make sure some one came or even followed up if the service was even done. So no one showed up or even called me. Not even a note on the door. A very poor way to do business. So they lost my business and gave it to ORKIN! The Orkin people were on time and punctual. And even followed up like a normal business does that care about their customers, which Terminix does not. I will never call Terminix for my business. Thank you ORKIN for coming to the rescue. I have been a Terminix customer for many years and have for the most part been pleased until the past few month. I received my yearly renewal notice and found that my rate had increased quite a bit from the prior years. I telephoned the company and spoke with a representative who told me that since I was with the company for so long that he would renew my contract at my prior year's rate, and adjust my bill accordingly in the amount of $43.00. I immediately paid my renewal charges in full at that time, for the period through May 31, 2020.
Approximately one month later, I received a notice in the mail that my termite protection is to expire: renewal due. The notice showed $43.00 as being due which is the amount my account was to be adjusted for, as documented above. I telephoned Terminix immediately and spoke with a representative that assured me that the $43.00 would adjusted through a credit to my account immediately.
Then approximately two weeks later, I received two separate telephone calls from the Terminix Collections Department advising me that I had an overdue balance. Now common sense people; how can I have an overdue balance when I just paid you my entire agreed upon yearly renewal payment, that mind you did post to my credit card account, for the next year through May 2020! After having several conversations with the Collections representative, I was once again assured that a credit of $43.00 would be posted to my account. Well guess what, it was not!
Since at this point I had no confidence in the Terminix representatives, I telephoned Terminix to verify the posting of the credit for the $43.00. When I telephoned and entered my phone number I received a message stating that my agreement had EXPIRED! Again, what happened to the yearly payment I paid in advance of the year's agreement? I again spoke with a representative who super assured me she would resolve the problem. I requested to speak with a manager but was told none were available (imagine that). I also requested that the representative send me a copy of my yearly renewal agreement, and she stated she would. Well guess what another lie! I never received a copy of my renewal agreement, and I cannot get confirmation that my account and agreement are current. Hence, I am writing this e-mail complaint.
Bottom line do not trust or believe anything a Terminix representative tells, or assures you of. My issue is still open and I have not received any communications from Terminix regarding the status of my renewal. I am currently interviewing other pest control companies and will likely be requesting a refund through my credit card for the payment I made. Very sad that a company gets so large that they forget the loyal longtime customer.

Hello, I am writing this review as I schedule a rodent inspection in order to sell my house. Contacting the call center I was promised it would happen in the AM the following day. During dinner the night I called, I received a call from the inspector that was supposed to be coming out. Hearing a sad story about his personal life he then told me that he would not be able to make his appointment (similar to other issues that I've read other people have had in my area, SLC, UT). I instructed him that meeting this appointment was crucial for the sell of my home.
The following day, I had not heard from him, or his supervisor. I Contacted customer service and was on hold for roughly 10 minutes with no answer to my call. At this point in time, I am choosing to go with another inspector agency as Terminix obviously cannot schedule or handle their affairs adequately, especially for them being "One of the biggest pest control company on the planet".

Updated on 06/17/2019: This is an update to my complaint/review on June 11th, 2019. It is June 17th 4:42pm and Terminix has not reached out to me to resolve my concern. I was contacted by Terminix on June 12, for payment to renew my contract. When informed of my complaint, the kind representative reached out to a local Branch Mgr to answer my concerns/questions with reference to the contract. She called me again on June 13th to check if I was satisfied with his response and if I would like to renew the contract. She was most surprised that the Branch Mgr did not take the trouble to contact me. As I said earlier, I have still not been contacted by Terminix with reference to the details of contract.
Original Review: Our Termite contract is up for renewal, which we have been renewing since 2012. Every year we receive renewal notice, but never an updated contract with the renewal notice. This year I decided to call for details. The one & only Customer Service Representative who answered the phone was not equipped to give me any information regarding the terms of the contract. When I asked to speak with a Supervisor, I was informed there was none, but entered my request in the system to receive a call back. Since I was determined to speak with Terminix the same day, I went online to find the local agents in Webster and Alvin, Tx areas. I would go through the recorded prompts, hold forever, but to no avail.
Eventually, I went online, again dialed as it reads “Call to speak with an agent immediately: **”. I heard the same recording, there was again a long wait. I then followed the prompts to set up a call back from customer service & received a screen confirmation that a Terminix Agent will call back from 1800 525 1933 or text from 313131 with standard SMS charges. Unfortunately, I spent over 2 hours on the phone without any contact with a Representative and without receiving a call back. The next day I realized I had saved a Technicians phone no. from a previous inspection. I called him, luckily he answered and I told him the reason for my call. He promised he would convey my name & contact to his Branch manager for a call back and would text me a local number where I can call as well.
It’s been a week since, neither did I receive a text nor heard back from the tech or the branch Mgr. Our concern is that if we needed Terminix for service in case we sighted termites, how long would it be before they ever heard our complaint or showed up for treatment of the termites. It seems a total waste of $429.75 towards a an insurance, since there is no preventive measure taken against the termites, except for once a year inspection (a walk through the house and the front/backyard). I decided to write this complaint as I received another Renewal Notice in the mail today! June 10, 2019. Aren’t they prompt in asking for payment as against providing some level of customer service.

I paid to have my son's apartment treated for bedbugs, with a 3 month retreatment period. The tech used the freezing technology and also put down pesticides. When my son returned home, he moved the couch cushions and there were about 60 bedbugs still very alive under there. He called and they said to "give it time", and call for a retreat in 2 weeks. When he called for the retreat, no one would answer, so he left a message, but got no callback. This went on for a few days until finally he called the regional office and they called the locals who then set up an appointment.
When the tech came the second time it had been a full 3 weeks, and the apartment was fully infested again. But instead of using the freeze treatment he just went in and sprayed pesticide. It did nothing. The bugs are worse than ever! He and his family are bit up and they see live bugs on the couch. On one bed they didn't have this right size so they put a size bigger on it causing the encasements to bubble up and fill with air. On the other two beds they decided to put the platform inside the encasements with the mattress! And to make things worse they've been installed encase mattress platform on top of a rusty frame without putting down any tape to protect the encasements from getting ripped! Our stuff is in bags for 2 months. My house was turned upside down and the entire process was a nightmare. I develop a phobia - a crippling fear of these bugs and now I have a hard time sleeping. I have to check my bed three times before I can even sit on it. In my living room I haven't been in there since.
I called Terminix back. Inform them that the mattress encasements have holes and I believe the bugs are back. NHL me that my warranty is up despite the fact that they installed encasements wrong! I have signed on for service in Queens, New York just a month ago. While the first visit was effective, it has been a challenge to book a follow up appointment (which was part of the contract). Service hours are not very flexible, and that requires to take days off from work or pay someone to be at home, if you are a working professional. Most unfortunately, after I did all that, the tech showed up an hour and 22 minutes past his appointment schedule, without giving a courtesy call of running late. Needless to say that no one was at home to greet him, and now I am back to rescheduling it again. I canceled the service and strongly advise people against using Terminix as there are many worthy substitutes around. The treatment is ineffective and when asked to deliver on the promise (i.e. 100% satisfaction guarantee), you would be put through a wringer. Utterly disappointed.

The issue I have just started when I never received my quarterly service and called to find out why. I was told that they called and left a message, which is impossible because the phone they have been calling for the last 5 years has no voice mail, so after scheduling I talked with a customer service rep, who could have not cared less. She said if they said they left a message then they probably called my wife's phone. My wife says she never got a message.
I told her that maybe I should go with a different pest control company since she really didn’t care how my service was missed. She said ok, I said, "You really don’t care if I go to a different company?", and she said no. So pretty much the corporate employee doesn’t care about the franchise's customers. I spoke with Drew from the local branch soon after this call and for now I am keeping Terminix, bottom line is if you have any issues get in touch with the local office that appreciates your business, or call corporate and get irritated.

This company has covered the termite protection on my home since construction 33 years ago. When I received my annual renewal it was paid in 4 payments over 6 weeks as has been done in the past. I received an e-mail stating they wanted to get me back as a customer. I called the company and told them I had went nowhere and that is when I was told my contract had been cancelled for not paying the entire bill at one time. I told them that's the way I had paid for over 30 years. I was told it had changed in 2019. When I told them I had not received a notification again I was told again it had changed. I ask them to reinstate my contract since they had been holding my payments. I was told that was not possible. I have spoken to several managers. Same answer. I was told could not write a new contract because I have a deck attached to my home.

He told my mom's caregiver that if they were that bad under the house, they'd be in the attic too. They looked in the attic and found nothing. I set a trap under the house and left it for three days. I caught nothing. My mom is 89 years old. I'm glad her caregiver was there.

I’ve never had a worse experience with any other company in general. It seems like the technicians only show up to check off a box (if they actually do). This is the second time they’re supposed to be at my property and even for the first appointment, I kept calling customer service, they kept putting my calls in the “notes”, and claiming someone was out there.
After asking them to call before and upon arrival, they never do. They claim their technicians read the service order but why don’t they make an attempt to call me or my tenants if they are on their way or even while they are there. Even furniture companies do that. Why drive hours and leave without attempting to do what you came for? I don’t even believe they actually show up. Today I was on the phone with their office trying to reach the technician. Next update I get, the technician was at the property. My profile has both primary and secondary contact. No one showed up, knocked or rang the bell nor called the numbers on the profile. Please anyone know of any other company?

I have a contract with Terminix. This is my second year with them and I am very happy with the Service they provide. I originally contacted them two years ago for tiny ants that I had in my kitchen which I could not get rid of on my own. They came and treated the areas in my kitchen where the ants were present and I didn’t see them anymore and they have not returned. Since they have been spraying quarterly around the exterior of my house I have not seen any spiders in my house or other bugs outside. When my tech Carl comes for my quarterly service if he finds any spiderwebs, he removes them.

The inspector today said I no longer qualify for coverage even if I agreed to the new rate of $999.00 vs $360.00 a yr and a new treatment of $600.00. The reason: I have a synthetic deck with wood support that has been there for 20 yrs. So, no coverage for my house. This could happen to you! We contacted Terminix after having dealt with one of their employees in a work environment. At work I had found the Terminix employee to be knowledgeable and helpful when discussing work-related rodent problems, (and when we had an unwelcome guest show up in our attic at home, he was more than willing to troubleshoot ideas with me.) We attempted to solve the attic rodent problem in our home ourselves, but we found the critter to come and go, and was evading our home traps. One frustrating night we decided to call Terminix and left our contact information describing the problem. We began communicating through email with the sales and administration. We were told a flat fee that would have a technician coming to the house intermittently for 6 months and helping us to eradicate the problem. The initial interactions through email were prompt and to the point.
The technician showed up, we explained the problem. We asked where he thought the rodent could be getting in, and he said he wasn't sure at this point. He set some traps around the attic access panel and said he'd be back in a week. He advised us not to plug any hole we found, as with the warmer weather the critter would want to leave the attic. He was prompt upon his arrival the following week. He went directly into the attic and said nothing had been disturbed, he'd be back in next week.
During this next week, we located where we believed the rodent to be coming into the house. When the technician arrived the following week, we showed him the access point, he agreed that it was the likely spot of access and advised us putting a one way trap on it. This is where our dealing with Terminix went downhill. We were told at this point that having a one way trap placed on the rodent access point would cost us more. When we said we paid a flat rate, the technician informed us that this was an extra service.
We then asked what it was we were actually paying for? We had been charged hundreds of dollars, and our technician had been on our location for maybe 30 minutes, had not located the access point of the rodent, and had not caught the rodent. In all fact, he had not done anything that we ourselves had not done, and still have not done. We were under the impression when calling an "expert" that they would be providing a service that we ourselves would not be able to accomplish.
We then contacted sales and administration and were informed this was now a wildlife problem and they would have to be called in to place the one way trap at an extra cost. They were absolutely unwilling to aid us in any way and we were then told we had an interior package, and this was an exterior package problem. So needless to say, we'll be dealing with the problem ourselves, as we have been. This has been a complete waste of money.

So they come out several times and tell me everything looks good. No active termites present. Well I was having some wood replaced and guess what? Very much active termites still present.
I called to get a tech out and they didn't send one for 3 days. After I called I was in shock because for the last 2 years they have promised me no active termites so for 2 years I thought all is good. Even calling them a few times extra because of worrisome spots and the guy would say, "No. That's nothing." Well it was something and they have destroyed my main support beam across my garage. The cost is going to be thousands of dollars! The best part is that it has been 2 weeks still and no callback from anyone and was promised a call in 48 hours and still no one has called. We have a long standing termite contract with Terminix. They told us there is no signs of termite. A few days later my cleaning maid found 3 separate places in the middle of 3 separate rooms where the termites have eaten through the wood floor with live termites crawling out of hollowed out wood floor. Multiple phone calls were diverted to overseas call center whose operator can not even understand English.
We got the runaround. Every phone call says there is no record of the previous call. Eventually an inspector showed up after speaking to the manager of the operator. But no corrective action or follow-up contact after many days. Another phone call today again says there is no record of our previous contact and the inspection has to be repeated. I do not know whether the poor service is sheer incompetence or a deliberate company policy to frustrate customer complaints to save money.

In 2017 I sold my house and needed a termite inspection before I left the house. Terminix set up an appointment with me and then rescheduled, and then on the day the Derek guy was supposed to show up and he didn't and they had to send another guy last minute. 1-800-Dig-Rite couldn't believe that Terminix was so lazy that they told me to call and set up the details so their business could come and dig on my property and they said they couldn't process the request because Terminix needed to call for this, not the customer. (a big waste of time) I overlooked their disorganized antics at this point because I just needed the termite inspection and that's it so I could sell the house.
Long story short, they found one teeny tiny little hole in the trim of my brick house and said that hole was probably a termite and that I needed to treat it. After being told that I could get a deal where they sprayed for other pests too along with treating for supposed termites from the one hole they found in a door trim, I said ok. I was told if I paid $500 they would do the treatment and then I could get the piece of paper I needed to sell my house. I did it and then it all seemed over with.
Fast forward 1 year later my credit card gets auto-charged out of the blue for another $500. When I call and ask what this is for they say that I have to pay it because it's the rest of the money I needed to pay and that if I don't pay it then the piece of paper they gave me legally isn't valid. So they pretty much used the fact that I was selling my house to strong arm me and bully me into getting screwed out of another $500 on a house that was not mine anymore.
The manager Doug that I spoke to was quite a jerk and offered no consolation whatsoever and when I told him I was very unhappy about the mafia tactics of getting money out of me they offered to give me 25% on termite service on my new home. I firmly declined because I wouldn't trust this company to change a lightbulb in my home, let alone treat my house for termites. Untrustworthy and unreliable and when I think about it I still would like to file a lawsuit against them for how they conducted their "business." -Joshua

My sister made arrangements to have them ready to come at 3 PM. If they followed the original plan, the cat would still be alive.
INSTEAD, they arrived at 12:30 PM, while my sister was at work. They knew my sister was at work. They called her and did not leave a voicemail. They went into her apartment, claimed they did not see her cat, who is VERY SHY TO STRANGERS AND HIDES BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT CATS DO, and tented the apartment with the cat still inside. They did not call P.E.S.T. informing them that they were coming early.
It is illegal in Florida to abuse or neglect an animal and they need to go out of business for this unethical and careless behavior. We had problems with mice last summer and got the quarterly service where technicians installed mouse traps inside and out and checked them quarterly. During the service visit in February, the technician suggested we contact a salesperson to discuss Exclusion service which covers all types of pests and has a warranty. We spoke with a salesman and decided to invest in the Exclusion service. It is expensive but we were able to financing over five years and it included putting insulation in our attic, more mouse traps inside and out, termite bait stations, vented covers on any vents/chimney on the roof and a seal to cover openings under garage door. the most recent visit was to install the seal under garage door which was the last outstanding task. Still have the quarterly mouse service as well just to make sure they get rid of any rodents who might already be "in residence".
As I said, service is not cheap but there is a warranty and we feel it will prevent any damage to our home which can be extensive if not addressed. Technicians are always skilled and very friendly - even to our new puppy! Glad we did this. Also wanted to mention that before we got Terminix, we purchased the poison "traps" for mice and had a frightening incident when our daughter's dog somehow got to the poison pellets and ate them - that was a $300 trip to the vet and probably contributed to her existing health issues. The gentleman I spoke to, Jeff, informed me that for a discounted price of $189 they would come out to spray my in and outside and that if I needed them to come back I had 3 months of service available to me at no additional charge. I agreed and made the appointment. I was not available on the day the techs came to spray, so my mother, who is now deceased, let the techs in and signed the paperwork for me.
Before the expiration of the 3 months, in December, I got a notification that the tech was going to spray my exterior. Thinking that is was part of what I initially agreed to with Jeff, I allowed them to come. 2 weeks later I have a bill for $129!!! I have called to dispute this and cancel this service 3 times and had no response from the management team that I was told would call me. Plus, the services were never cancelled as I just received another notice that they were scheduled to come back out to spray this week. I made that third call today and spoke with the manager of the call center, Misty, who again informed me that the service is cancelled (again) and a local manager would be reaching out regarding the dispute (again).
So, my question is, is this how they do business?! Because, I called for a one time service and got signed up for an ongoing term that I never agreed to!! My mom kept getting the ants back and when Terminix came out they would spray around the area but did nothing about the ants in the dirt of the plants. Therefore they kept returning until my mom spread all the dirt out and let the ants go elsewhere then put the dirt back into the plants. Terminix has been great to deal with over the years. If we need them, someone is here when they say they will be. Everyone has been polite, professional, and seems to really care about us as customers. I would certainly recommend their services to anyone!

I contacted Terminix and they arrived at my doorstep the next day. They did a thorough evaluation and sprayed as needed. The technician Casey also provided his direct cell phone so I could call for any issues at any time. That is some great service.

In December, 2018, we contracted with Terminix to provide rodent (flying squirrel) control in our retirement home. Terminix promptly came out that very week to remove all old insulation, cover up entry holes, and replace with a new insulation containing boric acid, which squirrels abhor. However, when we drove up to inspect the work, we found that one portion of the attic had barely any insulation in it. Because customers must go through remote call centers, oftentimes the local offices do not get the scheduling messages. I had the call center rep repeat the service I desired, so the input into the computer was correct.
One time I drove 1 1/2 hours to this house with a scheduled appointment to find the technician brought rodent traps, but no insulation. Another time I cancelled an appointment due to a conflict and the technician showed up with a crew to install additional insulation. Luckily we have a lockbox so the crew could enter to do their job. The work was done in April of 2019. Four-five months is too long to complete a one day job. To give Terminix the benefit of the doubt, the company does try to make things right eventually. I'm told the company is installing new up-to-date computers which I'm hoping will remedy the communication problem. We should have been informed that the original crew ran out of insulation and Terminix should have scheduled an additional appointment immediately. However, I had to call them.

I was getting a treatment for a bad flea infestation. The first treatment gave good results but the fleas returned quickly. If any followup is needed, they make it very hard to reschedule and they give a very limited treatment at best. Third time I sat outside and tech came out in a few minutes. There was nothing done. The manager, Danny, came after I complained and was RUDE, CONDESCENDING, AND DISMISSIVE. They refunded my money after I filed a BBB complaint, rather than try to fix the problem. Waste of time.

Since I had bedbugs 4 years ago, that started my unpleasantness. I wasn't advised that I needed an inspection, they constantly messed up our appointments. The whole thing took so long that they said I was infested by then. Nightmare experience. Today I called to make an appointment for water bugs. They scheduled me for bedbugs after waiting for the call center for about 15 minutes with little communication. I told the woman at least 4 times that it was pest control, not bed bugs. I rarely see the same technician twice in a row. Your customer service is horrible.

I have had Pest Control with Terminix for a long time. I get the same technician every time and have come to appreciate his expertise. Roger ** is very knowledgeable and patient. I know that we could get cheaper service elsewhere but would not get the quality and attention we get from Roger. Thank you Roger for a job well done every time!

I had them to take rodent out. They did very bad at coming back and checking traps. They would miss appointment and never did they catch Rat... They were supposed to come by regularly. They did not make scheduled visit and if they did they would spray a little area and leave.... My contract ended and they still are charging me another 300 dollars for not saying I don't want their service even though I told them on numerous occasions when they called and I complain. I said I don't like and don't want their service... RIP Offff.

The cost was overwhelming but the nice lady eased my concerns when she said I was approved for 24 months interest free and I was covered for any issues r/t termites as well as zero payment due for 2 months. I never received my bills or contract or statement, online showed all my info was correct and even allowed me to make a payment then never showed payment due again. 45 days later I'm getting collection calls and threats to report to the credit bureau for a 3rd party co called ServiceMaster, saying my bill was 300 more and I wasn't interest free and my address was entered wrong and they modified my contract without my consent.

They come do the job on time and well. Like to get reminders so I can ask for indoor service if needed. Couple times needed extra services, they came and were back as needed until completely handled. My third home with their service now.
We enjoy reading about the excellent service our technicians perform. Thank you for the feedback and for being a Terminix customer.

As 2 working adults with four kids it's not easy to get ready for a visit from a pest control agent so when you go through all that and wait four hours and you finally call and hold for 45 minutes just for someone to say "oh there was a problem" and there's no openings for a week it makes you wonder why am i doing business with someone that does not value my time or my money. Thank you Terminix for the wonderful experience. I havent canceled yet but I bet a different company would have showed up or at least called.

Terminix has been providing termite control at our beach house for many years. The servicemen are always professional and explain what they are doing. They have never minded if I tag along asking questions about the work they are doing. We recently had them come out to my mom's house to provide an estimate for rodent removal, squirrels and mice. The agent did a thorough job inspecting the perimeter of the home, basement and attic. He located areas of entry and provided a plan to secure the home from future infestation. His quote was higher than expected but I trust that the work could be done completed as promised. I would trust Terminix to provide and service stated and do a great job at it.

I am extremely frustrated. I paid $1,250 for bed bug treatment from the Marietta, Ga location. The 1st treatment was done February 21st. We were told not to put anything back in drawers or anything until the follow-up treatment that would take place in 2 weeks. It has now been 7 WEEKS. No follow up treatment per the contract, no one will answer my calls or return my emails or messages. My whole house is crammed into my garage per their instructions until the 2nd treatment. This is absolutely terrible behavior from a company rated #1. At this point if the issue is not resolved this week then I am taking the matter legal to get back the money that I paid for a contracted service that was not completed. It seems they are waiting out the warranty period which is 90 days instead of 30, but only because I paid for 3-bed bug mattress protectors at $75 a piece. I am very upset and disappointed!

We signed up this winter, my 2 sons also and we have had NOTHING but problems with the customer service dept. They do not know what is going on at all and made so many mistakes. The technicians that came out were good, and even they didn’t have anything good to say about the customer service. After MONTHS of phone calls finally to a supervisor, I THINK we have everything set! I wouldn’t count on it though!

We have an infestation of powderpost beetles (PPBs); called Terminix, who said that they could/would help. First we had a no-show for a quote. We had to wait twice in an interminable queue hearing the same ads over and over and over again. The first Customer Service Rep got disconnected from us and never called us back. The 2nd one seemed to understand our problem and had a supervisor named Jeff (from Portland OR) call us and set up a new appointment. He came by, refused to examine the barn structure or the 100s of wooden baskets that had clear evidence of PPBs, and focused on a single drawer that had activity. He said 'we don't do fumigation,' even though the Customer Reps said you did. All in all, a complete waste of time.

Terrible company. My renewal stated I had 'til March to pay, in February I got a bill saying it was canceled. I called and explained and spoke to a nasty manager who said, "Yeah I see that in the computer but there is nothing I can do, sorry it’s cancelled. You will have to repay the start up fee." I am livid. What a joke of a company! I gave my business to a local company and couldn’t be happier. Also, the price went up to $1,000s for most people in our neighborhood with Terminix. So happy they messed up - worked out for the best for me! I would never recommend them to anyone.

Our property upon purchase was riddled with termite damage and active termites. A nightmare considering we looked at 200 houses and this was the one. Terminix to the rescue. The defense system in place termite free. It’s been 6 years now and every penny is worth it. Upon completion of termite treatment we seriously checked into their pest insulation. Another great decision that saves us annually on electricity for heating or worse cooling. The insulation difference was felt immediately as the AC didn’t kick on frequently. Best still is that our house is bug free. Though on occasions we will call for a bad mosquito season Terminix is our only and proven choice.
The estimate was no pressure but the service continued and still is as amazing as the day we began our relationship. Uniformed, scheduled and inspections yearly secure my home and add value. More than value is security for my pets and family. Cost was average for treatment of type but caliber again is what makes this company stand out. You truly get what you pay for and more with service unparalleled.

Hello, I don't usually write reviews on anything, but I figured I would give my experience using Terminix. I had them inspect my home and they found evidence of bed bugs, they came out a total of 3 times and sprayed my 3 bedrooms for them. Well the bed bugs didn't go anywhere, I tried to get in touch with them again after their 3rd treatment to tell them I was still having an issue, and couldn't get anyone to answer the phone. I wouldn't waste money with this company to remove bed bugs.
We’re sorry to hear about your recent experience with Terminix! We value your feedback and would like a chance to resolve any issues. Someone from our local office will be contacting you to help assist with your resolution.

My service calls with Terminix are scheduled every three months. They usually leave me a text saying what day they're coming. They also ask if I want to have something extra done, like coming inside. They then come out and do most of the outside work themselves. I don't have any pets or locks so they go ahead and do their thing even while I'm not here. The gentleman that always calls has always been very nice and knowledgeable about what he's doing. Terminix has done a good job and I would recommend them. I'd tell others, "Try Terminix, you'll like them."
