We ask for an in-house inspection periodically, and they do that. Terminix would come to see us whenever we asked. We've been with them for years and we haven't had any problems with them. All the people in the neighborhood had problems with termites about 20 years ago and I haven't heard anybody complain since then.

Terminix calls me to tell me that somebody is coming for service. It's for termite and it's every three months for pest control. The rep who comes changes but not frequently. The biggest complaint I have is that the persons that call would say they were coming out on such and such day between certain hours. They would say we didn't have to be home. I don't like that. I want to be home when they come because I want to verify and see what they do. I have had to raise that issue a number of times.

I've always had Terminix. The person that had the condo before me had Terminix, so I didn't know whether I needed it or not, but I just continued doing it. I have a yearly contract with them, and they come automatically every month. I'm only there in Florida for five months though, so my neighbor takes care of them. She lets the guy in, and he does his thing. Apart from that, everybody that I've had have all been very good. They are very conscious about what they do, and they do a good job. It's a great company. I also have several neighbors that have them, and they love the outcome.

I had my first pest control visit with Terminix on July 30th. I signed up for 1 year, 4 quarterly payments. When I signed up, I was told that I would get 90 days of pest control follow ups at no charge. During my first visit it was raining and I couldn’t have the exterior of my house sprayed (paid to have the interior and exterior sprayed). I had Terminix out to spray my exterior 64 days later due to COVID exposure plus work commitments and they decided they were going to bill me. I thought I was okay because it was within 90 days. I had an account manager contact me and he told me the 90 days had passed and I told him that I knew for a fact that it was only 64 days and that they charged me 26 days early for the “quarterly” fee.

I have since been in dispute with them through to BBB and they’re saying it was only a 30 day guarantee and are refusing to own up to the fact that I was given misinformation and also the fact that they were charging me 26 days early for my quarterly fee. My Billing dates should have been July 30, October 28, January 26, and April 27. Not July 30 and then October 2.

A Terminix Tech came to my home, walked are around and said he would send an assessment. I received a proposal for $629.00 that looked very detail, but not really, but I was hopeful, I just wanted the three little mice gone (and they were tiny, just bothersome). I paid $269.00 upfront for a technician to come into my home and set 6/six mouse traps laced with store bought peanut butter. I live in a 4 bedroom home with an attic and a full finished basement - what he did I could have done for less than $50.00! When I called to speak to a manager to express my concerns - I was told ALL the managers were in the field - HUH - really? Okay, I'm a reasonable person, have one call me back please. I. Am. Still. Waiting! SO BUYER BEWARE! Please this and read all reviews and ask more question than I did, do not take their word. Oh and NOT ONE mouse has been caught... I'm calling Orkin!

I have two technicians that I appreciate greatly. They do my pest control and I like the fact that it's been regular people for the past two years. I've gotten to know them and they know what my expectations are, and I appreciate that. I schedule the service online, so it's good. The pest control has been great, but I need it more often than they offer it on my plan. They only do pest control once every three months, so I wish it was more often. I live in Georgia and it has a lot of water bugs and I don't do bugs at all. I wish the termite plan was a little more detailed and comprehensive too because I'm paying Terminix a yearly fee, which isn't cheap. They only change baits once a year, so I'm paying a lot of money for them to just check, and then they don't come in the house and check for termites.

Terminix treated my Next-door neighbor’s home exterior today for a mouse problem. In about an hours time, my dog found a dead mouse in my fenced in back yard. My concern is that although Terminix uses mouse poison that is not harmful to pets or children, the pests that come into my yard to die could still be harmful to my pets and grandchildren by carrying diseases or whatever into my yard. It’s my opinion that a trap of some sort should be used in lieu of poison to prevent such incidents. I called Terminix to discuss this only to be interviewed by an employee that did not share my concerns.

I didn't notice that much before I used Terminix' services, until we found termite infestations inside the house and we had some heavy termite control done. Since then, with the change in the cold weather, we do occasionally find some ants or spiders coming into the house, but nothing major. Terminix normally contacts me and says they're coming. The technicians have always been very courteous and respectful. Three days ago, Terminix called to say they were coming to do a pest control application outside, and I told them that I'd prefer to wait at least a week until after the snowstorm. And they said that wasn't necessary, but I decided that I wanted to wait, and they agreed. Terminix is something that we should get. It's another service that might actually help the condition of my home.

They were very professional and polite. They got the job done very fast. They were very prompt about calling us and letting us know the situation. Their reports were very thorough and understandable. Thankfully, we didn't have the problem we thought we had. But if in the future we did need anything, I'd definitely go back to them.

My initial technician checked everything out with us. He was very understanding. He made sure to describe exactly what he was going to do and why he was doing it. They were very obvious about what was going on. They didn't show up in the big huge truck and all that great stuff going on, so the neighbors were out looking. We were scared we had a bedbug problem. I asked him if it could be the spiders and he told me that if there were spiders, then we'd be in a different spot and that we'd be looking at different things. That helped out a lot for my conscience.

It was kind of pricey but the guy explained to us that if we did have any problems within the next six months that we were still covered, they’d take care of us. So that was another thing we liked a lot. Even though we were done for now, he assured us that if we ever needed them to come back and check things out, they are right here for us.

I have been struggling with a bed bug problem for a while a now. I moved and finally thought the bugs were gone but started getting bites again. I called Terminix and was hopeful that since I was the one directly working with the pest control company I’d actually be able to eradicate this problem. The person who did the consultation and inspection seemed very knowledgeable and and reassuring and I had no reason to doubt that they could resolve the situation. I wouldn’t have spent over $1000 otherwise. It’s a lot of money but it paled in comparison to the idea of getting a good night's rest in a bug free bed.

I had some interception traps on the legs of my bed and the inspector said they’d be replaced with the ones terminix uses along with putting new bed bug casings on my mattress and box spring. Two people (other than the one who did the inspection) came for the first visit. After the first treatment (which they arrived a day early for with 20 min notification making me rush to get ready and find something to do for the 5 hours I needed to be out of my house) they did put on the casings but did not replace the traps under my bed. I found this odd because the inspector made a big deal about how theirs were effective and they don't know where the traps I had came from so they’d rather be safe and use their own tested equipment. I called and they said they’d replace them on their next inspection. The email I received detailing the first inspection said they didn’t find anything.

On the second visit only one of the two people from before came. They did not bring traps and said mine were fine. Did a quick once over and just told me to wash my bedding again. I told him I was still getting bites, he dismissed that. I found out through pestering him for more information that they in fact did find a bug on their first visit and didn’t tell me or document it. After he left I called terminix again to complain about the traps not being put down and about they lying if their emails about what they found. They said the same, they’d do another visit and bring the traps.

Third visit. Same person as the second. Still no traps. Same lackluster inspection that lasted less than 5 min. Dismissed the bites and blood spots on my bed that I showed him. Declared me bug free. I’m still getting bites. All over my back and even on my face and neck. I’m at my wits' end and feel stupid for ever trusting terminix. They basically stole my money and did nothing. I don’t even know if I should trust another company. I know home remedies don’t work and it just feels like I’ll have to accept that I have bed bugs forever and I’ll just have horrible painful bites all the time. I will never recommend them. I will actively turn people away from these thieves.

I called the other day because we were having a problem in our front living room. We had some bad fascia board, apparently, and we didn't realize it. There were carpenter ants in it and the whole living room was being filled with hundreds of them. They were chewing everything up in the ceiling. The fella, Dante, came out and sprayed inside and out. He seemed like a nice enough guy. We thought the bugs were gone because we got the fascia board torn off and all new roof pipes and roof put on. The ants disappeared for a while. A few weeks ago, some of them started coming back. I don't know if there's this residual in the ceiling because it couldn't be in the new board.

I keep getting different things from different places with Terminix. I had gotten a voicemail from Dante. He said he was going to be out in the neighborhood and asked did I need anything. At the time, I didn't so I said no on the voicemail. As soon as I said that, these darn ants started coming back. So, I called his voicemail and said, “Next time you're in the neighborhood, let me know.” I never heard back from him so I waited another two or three weeks and called him again. I said, “Let me know if you're going to be in the neighborhood so we can set up some kind of appointment.” He never called back. Nobody gets back to me.

A couple days ago, I got an email from Terminix that said, "This is your new team." I asked, “Have you changed reps or is this just an advertisement?” They said, “No, you still got Dante.” I told them that I've been trying to get him over here and I'm not getting any replies back. I told the lady on the phone I needed to have somebody come inside. She set it up for next week that he was going to come over. I don't understand why he doesn't call back. When you got these ants, you can't even put up Christmas decorations. You can't have anybody in the room with this stuff falling on their head. There are chewed up saw dust and dead ants all over the place. I understand they can't get rid of bugs instantly but when I tell somebody to call me back, I expect them to call me back.

We've got two different protection plans, a pest one and one for termites. Terminix had changed their address and I did not know that. We got a bill for pest control. Then I got a bill for the termite. They were supposed to put it all together in one account and I had 200-something dollars that we've paid in that one account. But they did not transfer that and give me credit for the termites. I've got this big amount of money to Terminix that is waiting for whenever the pest control is due again.

I hardly get the technician that lives around in my town, but when he comes, he does a really good job. But then I get technicians from other cities that don't know me and it's just not as good. There's just something. This time they don't wanna come in the house because of the COVID and I understand that. So, we've thought about changing and getting somebody local so we'd have the same person all the time.

Terminix came through the neighborhood and I signed up to have the ant spray. It was supposed to be a one-time thing. The guy came and sprayed. He was very nice and courteous. He was making some recommendations. He said that I needed to do a termite inspection. I just bought the house in May and I know that there are no termites. There's no damage from them. I said I didn't need that. He was very adamant and said I did. He was very pushy about that. I took time out of my schedule for the free termite inspector to come by and he was selling termite insurance for the home. It took about 20 minutes and he was kind of ** after I said, "I'm not interested. I'm sorry you wasted your time but I don't have time for this. This wasn't what I signed up for and I'm very disappointed that your company did this and put me in this position." The guy left and never did an inspection.

I got a call probably last week and the gentleman left me a message and said, "I'm calling you about your scheduled appointment with Terminix." I called him back and said there was no scheduled appointment. He said I signed up for a quarterly spraying. I talked to him and he said, "Let me see what I can do to get you out of this. I'm really sorry." He canceled it, called me back and confirmed. He was fantastic and made things right. But overall, it was an awful experience. I felt like it was a scam. After they sprayed, nothing changed as far as the ants. I still had the same tiles that I had. I'm from Missouri and I just moved down here to Florida. Terminix was highly regarded up there. When you're calling a company like Terminix, they would come in and they do a good job. There was no scam involved. You get what you pay for. They're upfront. But that was not my experience.

A few months ago we fell for Terminix' pitch that if we had our attic cleaned, insulation blown in that was treated with a chemical that would kill mice and had them close up holes where the mice were coming in that all would be great. Wrong. In addition, the initial exclusion work was not done properly and a big hole where rats and mice were getting into the walls and attic was left open. After I complained that I was seeing more entry points, they sent another guy who found the big hole & closed it up. Furthermore, the so-called "treated" chemical does not work and Terminix obviously didn't close all the holes because we again have mice in the attic which we hear every night. Our phone calls remain unanswered. Service technicians do not show up when scheduled.

Once they get your money, they ignore you. When the last technician didn't show up, I cancelled the service & asked for money back since they weren't fulfilling their end of the agreement. No response. I called 11/17/20 since there was a two year warranty supposedly but was told that since I cancelled there was no warranty. The fact of the matter is we paid for the exclusion separate from the monthly visit. We never got any money back for the two year service calls even though we don't receive them. We have paid the full price for the warranty which they are not honoring. We were to receive a call back regarding the situation and haven't heard a peep. When I started the contract with Terminix, the technician came in and they were helpful. I was following the guy around. He was probably getting a little frustrated with me because I kept asking questions. Then I finally left him alone and let him do his job. I was offered the attic insulation and they came up with some numbers. We spoke about that. They did a good job and I’m happy with them.

Initially, the technicians were supposed to come out and do the termite remediation but they forgot to do that. So, I asked one of the sales reps and they asked the technician about it. He made a couple of emails and then a short while later, they were out. They dug up termite traps and placed them in the yard. The pest activity is on a sharp decline. So it’s nice. I started a month and a half ago. I was having a lot of spider activity. The wall spiders aren’t all that big of a deal but the brown recluse is what I was concerned about. I don’t see a whole lot more of them. So, they did a good job of eliminating their food source. It gets rid of the spiders once they go.

Scheduling a service has been great. Last week, I called on Thursday requesting them to come in and spray the inside of the house because I saw spiders. They squeezed me in and they’ll be out next Thursday. So, that’s cool. Overall, the experience with Terminix has been great. My requests have been met. Some lines were crossed and they didn’t install the termite traps when they first came out but outside of that, the technicians were intelligent, sounded like they knew what they were talking about and educated.

The guy from Terminix comes to us for a while, so he knows what he has to do. I tried to go online to make a schedule but scheduling the service never happens. Also, I don't like to call. It's a fairly complicated call. Usually, the guy calls us a week before and tells us, "Is it okay to come next week, this day?" He is the one that calls us. He's nice. He's good. When he comes to my house, he wears something for his shoes but it's very dirty. There is no sense for him to wear that one to come into my house because it's dirty. If possible, he should use a new one when he comes in. Other that that, since getting service from Terminix, we don't have pests so often. Sometimes, if we see some, we will call him right away and try to make an appointment for him to come deal with it. I will tell others to use this service. Terrible experience from 3400 Corporate Way Suite G Duluth, GA 30096 Office. Been a customer since 2012 and cannot believe the lack of follow up, communication and accountability. Being a business owner myself and process improvement consultant I know the importance of building trusting relationships with customers for longevity and most importantly quality of service. Having credibility and healthy relationships with customers is critical to the success of any business! See my poor experience below:

September 26, 2020 - spoke to customer service rep. Explained I was still experiencing bugs after treatment, she stated I would be charged for another treatment because I called outside of 30 day timeframe, I explained I was following Covid precautions and feel like fee should be waived, she said I need to speak with branch manager for resolution and that she will connect with him

October 20, 2020 I received a voicemail from manager Keith Fleming, I called him back on 3 different days, he never returned my calls. October 30, 2020 I called customer service again, she stated she reached the branch manager, he said he would call me that day, she also said she would call me by end of business to confirm issue was resolved, neither of them called.

November 9, 2020 I called customer service again, rep Ida said she will escalate the issue but unfortunately she could not reach the escalation department, calla were dropping. She put me on hold to call the branch manager, she returned and said he stated he would have a technician call today. I told her I don’t trust him based on previous experience, she decided to send him an email stating my concerns and lack of trust in hopes of him following through. She recommended me call her the next day if I did not receive a call by 5pm. I did not receive a call from technician of manager.

November 10, 2020 I tried to call Ida back on a dedicated line but reached another rep Darlene. She stated she don’t have a way of getting me connected back to Ida. I had to reexplain everything for the 4th time. She stated only thing she could do is reach out to the branch manager again, I told her I have no confidence in that and do she have a supervisor who can fix this and can she give me the corporate office phone number. She stated she reached the branch manager and he said he was just discussing my case and will call today. I insisted she still send my case to her supervisor because the branch manager has said this to multiple reps. She agreed to do this and promised to call tomorrow to follow up. I am very busy and don’t have much time but I had to write this review to warn others. We have too much going on in the world right now and afford any more stress. Tramico

I've had the service for about 10 years. The contractors have gotten increasingly less competent in the last year and a half. Up until the last year and a half, I was very happy. I would like them to retain their employees and give them better training. There’s been way too much turnover in their employees. They used to be great.

Terminix is nationally known. I called somebody else that I had do some work first, and they weren’t able to deal with them. So, I contacted Terminix instead. Blake came out. I’m sitting here very angrily waiting for them to show back up. They were supposed to have been here between 8:00 and 12:00. The problem that I paid for still has not been taken care of. I am not a bit happy with Terminix at the moment.

I had problems from the very beginning from the first person who came out. He was nice, but came out and he said there were no bed bugs in the bedroom. I found them and called him back, and then told him, “Yes, they’re here.” I showed them to him. He told me I was supposed to prep and I needed to take everything out of my drawers. Come to find out that was the old way. I did not need to do anything. Yet, I had spent a day taking clothes out, moving stuff around, not to mention washing and drying everything and doing everything that I didn’t need to do.

When Blake came out to take care of the issue, he was late the first time. Now, I'm having problems again that have not been taken care of, to where I called and didn’t get a response. I didn’t get a call back. I had to call again the next day for a follow up call. I had to call later that afternoon only to find out that, “Oh. Yes, they have scheduled you. Sorry, nobody told you.” That leads me to today where I was told that the tech would be out between 8:00 and 12:00. That’s a 4-hour window. That’s a long time to be waiting on somebody. It’s now 12:41, I still have not heard from them nor seen them. They had no trouble taking my almost $1,500.

You need to call these guys or get online and schedule an appointment. Have them come out. First of all, there are periodic, automatically scheduled service calls every quarter and whenever I feel like I've got more bugs or rodents showing up in between visits, I just get online and set a new appointment. It's super easy. They then send somebody out and it's always very pleasant. I know they're coming and make arrangements to put my dog away, so that she doesn't cause problems 'cause she likes to run away. They always tell me what they've done for the visit and ask if there's anything else I need. It always goes very smooth. For the first four days after a visit, after they've sprayed, there's almost always more activity, and then it fades out.

I originally signed up with Alterra and then they got absorbed by Terminix and I kept them ever since. They've done an okay job. I live in a rural area, so I'm gonna need pest control or I would have to do it myself. A couple of visits ago, I had an experience where the technician showed up early in the morning. I wasn't expecting him and I was very asleep. Aside from that, it was very pleasant. A fellow came out recently as well and he was very thorough. He went around my property and did everything I asked him to.

I was happy with Insight's service. I didn't have any bug problems or ant issues. I would just as soon stay with them, but they got sold to Terminix, so we have no choice. For the most part, Terminix is fine, but they don't do the same good job that Insight did. I'm a little disappointed in that being that they're a national brand. I find the service is not quite as specific. Insight would go around and they would use a brush and sweep all the cobwebs away. Terminix hasn't done that.

Terminix send me a survey every time and I've written it on the survey a couple of times that nobody sweeps the cobwebs away. The guy is here and he lets me know he's here, and then within five minutes, he's gone. It's bizarre, whereas the Insight guy would be here a good 20 to 30 minutes every time he came and then he would come back and hang the little tag on the door.

I had a problem with ants for a while and it didn't seem to matter. The Terminix guy was here and I told him and he said, “Okay.” He put stuff down outside, and he said, "Do you have pets?” I have pets, which is why they can't come inside. My pets are very clean and they don't go outside, so that wasn't a problem. We also get a tiny little bug in the bathroom, and I don't understand what that is. I bought one of those heavy-duty bug sprays that was in a blue bottle and I ended up spraying all out, including behind my garden window. Finally, they disappeared.

I sold my home a year ago and part of the sale was to have termite service performed. Terminix installed bait stations which I paid $1,300 for. I was under the impression that the contract was a 2 year non auto renew. In fact I told them I was selling when I bought the package. A couple weeks ago I got a text that the tech will be at my house soon. I responded immediately and said I no longer own the property. I even called the tech and got her on the phone. I said I don’t want to be billed and she said she will speak with the new owner as she was home. I thought it was done until I got a Bill for $297.48. When I called their service department, I was told that I’m responsible since I didn’t cancel the contract.

I explained that I no longer own the home and was under the impression it was not auto renew. Additionally that I spoke to the tech in advance. Not to mention they are supposed to alert you 24-48 hours before the appointment which they did not do. I was shocked that they said I still need to pay, will not issue a refund, and will not contact the new owners. This is not the way to treat customers and build loyalty. It must happen often that people use them when they sell their homes. To trap them into paying like this is a disgrace. I’ve read through other complaints and have seen similar issues. I filed a dispute with my credit card and also filed a complaint on the Better Business Bureau. It’s still pending resolution. Please beware.

I had used another company and was not happy with them so I switched to Terminix. This is my first appointment and everything has been fine. Scheduling my service was fine except that what the people on the phone promise you and what they say isn't all what the technician is capable of doing. The did a lot. But when I spoke to him about certain things, he said, "I know they promise you all kinds of things but those things don't exist. We're in California. We have laws. We can't use those kind of chemicals." It was something about rats. He said he's not allowed to put out poison for rats because it's illegal in California. They knew I was in California when I spoke to them.

There was something else that I had asked him to do and that I asked about. He looked at me, laughed and said, "You wouldn't ever do that. I've been doing this my whole life. That isn't what you do." It was spraying something for spiders. He said, "I can't spray anything around that pool. If they find one drop of chemical that I sprayed in that pool, I lose my job."

The initial visit is a little bit more than you pay normally which would be understandable because they're really going through every single thing. He stuck a little spade down into the ground and said, "This is the kind of place ants congregate so we'll treat this area." He really was amazing. He really knew what he was doing. He was very pleasant in every possible way.

I'm not unhappy with Terminix or with the service that the technician provided. I'm going forward with them. If I had spoken to them and I wanted X, Y, and Z, and they sent me this terrible technician that I didn't like and didn't trust, then I would be out the door. But I feel like I can trust him. He even told me alternative things I can do for the rats that aren't poisonous. He told me things to try to put down the smell that they don't like so they won't come around. He was really very knowledgeable. My neighbors used him and they love him. He made himself totally available. He said, "If you see one thing you don't like, just call my cell phone and I'll be here." He really talked a lot about things.

I called Terminix to have a professional come and look my house over to see if there was any problems, and to have them give it a spray for common pests, spiders and that, so they sent someone out and he seemed nice and respectful, told me he recommended their “termite treatment” also. But didn’t see any signs of termites. So I said ok. It won’t hurt. He said it is just another 100 dollars on top of the basic spray we did. So I said, "Yes go ahead and do the termite treatment." Then a month later another bill for 110 dollars comes. Then the next month another, so I call them and talked to one of their guys on the phone, and I told them I am getting 110 dollar bills every month.

He pulled up my account and said, "Yea that’s for the termite treatment you ordered." I said, "No, he said it was only another 100 dollars. He didn’t say a word about every month." So I said I would like to cancel the subscription, he acted real snobby and said, "Ok sir we will come and get the bait stations and cancel the subscription." I said, "Ok, sorry I misunderstood. But your guy said only 100 dollars on top of what he already did. And did not tell me what the termite treatment consisted of." Then after this guy on the phone told me it was canceled, they came and got the bait stations, But I have still been getting a monthly bill. And now I can’t get ahold of them. I guess I will have to dispute it with my bank.. I strongly recommend a different pest control company. They are not honest when they sell you on their stuff.

They also gave me some information on what I can do to help kill the bugs faster.

I was able to go ahead and pay for a full year on my phone. I didn't have to talk to anybody to set up anything. It was like paying my bill online. Scheduling an appointment was fairly easy as well. It was creepy because the recording said "Hi, Samantha" and that freaked me out. I only had one mishap for my second appointment. The technician set up my second appointment and was a no-show. I called to find out where he was because I planned the whole day for that appointment. My problems started when I tried to contact Terminix to get another contract mailed to me. I texted the salesman twice, a service rep once, and made many many phone calls. I was on hold once for 42 minutes and their service hung up on me! One woman did leave me a voice mail and said she would have them contact me and left me a number to call.

I called that number and left a message again. They have not contacted me and whoever she contacted did not contact me. They did email me a copy of my contract (a month and a half later) but I wanted a hard copy which I still do not have and now it has been three months. Three months later I have still not been able to talk to a LIVE person about my service or lack thereof. Terminix has continued to bill me or try to bill me and even add late charges. I am contesting all these charges because they were done without my permission. Terminix the WORST Company that is a household name that I have ever had the misfortune to do business with. It’s not as thorough as it used to be at the beginning as far as the screening of the poisons to get rid of the pests or the spiders and things of that nature in the house. Today, it's probably due to the potency of their product that they don't need to do that. But the technicians I’ve had are well-mannered and they seem to know what they're doing. I called Terminix because I had a small ant problem outside. They came out and fixed that. A supervisor was there and he inspected the attic in my garage and said I had rodent issues. They did what they do and put traps up there. They were supposed to come back three times. If there was nothing in the traps the third time, they were gonna sterilize. On the third time that they were supposed to come out, I told the tech I couldn't be home to let him in the house and into the garage to do what he had to do. He said he could come and just inspect the outside. But the whole point of coming back was to sterilize the attic. I wasn't gonna be home so I couldn't stop him from coming out if he wanted to, which he did.

Terminix then told me that that was the final step and there was no more to be done. The traps are still up there and nothing's been sterilized. I called the same supervisor and he said he was going to inform Terminix that they needed to come back out. It's been almost a week but I haven't heard anything from anybody scheduling anything. At the moment, I'm still waiting for them to finish the last piece of the puzzle. Other than the last trip out here, everything was fine.

Terminix schedules an appointment with me quarterly. I would look if that fits my schedule. If not, I reschedule it. However, they contact me not that far in advance. That's the part I'm not too happy about. Also, sometimes it's a challenge with the website not working with scheduling. But for the most part, if I get the websites working, it's not that difficult. I just go on and find a better date and time, and reschedule.

I have two different accounts with Terminix. I've noticed for the termite it's even worse when it comes to scheduling. They would schedule, then they wouldn't show up. I don't know why. But the pest control side, they're pretty good about showing up when they said they're going to, and they call ahead of time. I use the same website, but I have to get different account numbers. I like the guy that I have now. He knows the property. I like when they keep the same tech and they're familiar with your property, and they know the areas that need attention. He's good about that, and with social distancing and wearing his mask during this pandemic. And when it's done, we don't even have to sign anything anymore. It's just all electronically sent.

Their guy wore his mask and kept his distance. I was very pleased. And although I've got evidence of one more rat, I haven't seen it. All in all, it was a very good experience. Terminix follows up if needed too. I had to get them to come back and there was no problem when their guy came back and doublechecked everything.

I have a home that I don't live at that Terminix does termite services to. A tech would go there at the end of each month. The day that their guy came out, he was nice, amenable, and professional. I had contacted someone else prior to Terminix and the people were really rude. Since I don't live there, I’m trusting Terminix. I’m assuming that they are putting in the stations and that they are servicing those stations.

When I called Terminix, someone else got involved in the issue. I was informed that someone else had called and was trying to take over the service. A Terminix guy contacted me and asked, “Hey, is this what you really wanted?” I was really comfortable with that and I appreciated the gesture because he didn't have to do that. They could have terminated my service and I would have never known. But they reached out to me because I made the contract with them and not this other person.

I was really happy with Terminix's customer service on the phone and the scheduling side of things. It's easy to schedule appointments. But I felt let down about the actual service. There can be better communication between the scheduling department and the contractor that comes out. The contractor that came out for our service didn't know that an inspector was coming as well and he also didn't know what I had originally scheduled him for. Also, I have two young kids and a dog and when I talked on the phone with the scheduler, I asked if we needed to leave the property during the visit. The scheduler said that we could stay at the house and that it was safe. The contractor would just need to stay inside for an hour when the mosquito service was to be done. But when the contractor came out, he said we couldn't be at the house at all. The work was thorough but we still have spiders so I don't know if we'll continue Terminix's service.

We have a regular quarterly service with Terminix where they check the perimeter and seal up any openings where there might be an access point for rodents or pests. They tend to clean up or de-web the outside of the house a little bit as well. Scheduling appointments is easy. I usually get an email or a text telling me that it's been scheduled, and then sometimes I have to go in and adjust that on the portal. They've also made accommodations for us where they'll just handle the outside portion. If we happen to be out of town, they'll tell us if we have any issues, and they'll come back a second time if we need something inside. The techs are dressed up in protective gear and they send follow-up reports with pictures of what they've done. If we have them come in the house, they wear the little foot coverings. They're polite, professional and they explain things. We like Terminix. They take good care of us. We've been with them for a few years now.

I had Terminix come here for a roach problem that I was having. Scheduling the service was okay. But I could do without the two-hour window that they gave me which was from 1:00 to 3:00. That was too much time to wait. It could be one o'clock or three o'clock. If it's three o'clock, that's two hours that you have to wait for. A one-hour window would have been okay. The technician was good and professional. He was very nice and polite. But it took time to explain things. He took a look and put stuff around the cabinets to prevent more roaches. But we're still seeing roaches although not as many as before. They haven't solved the problem at all and I'm still not satisfied. The man seemed to be focusing on termites but I'm not having that problem. I told him that it's the roach problem that I needed Terminix to focus on.

I moved in here a little more than a year ago and I don't have a lot of pest problems. I didn't have roaches where I moved from and I didn't have any roach problem when I got here. I usually keep a very nice indoor and it's very clean so I don't know how the roaches got here. The roaches could have some pathways from the neighbors that we can't see. Overall, Terminix is okay but they're not great.

Terminix was going to put chemicals down. There was a storm and we had very heavy rains. The fella came to do it. I just couldn't understand why they would send him in the pouring rain. He did the front of my house. He never went to the back of the house, so they had to come back and redo it. I called Terminix up to complain.

I call Terminix on the phone and tell them what the problem is. They give me a date when someone can come. Most of the time, it's the next day. I don't really see the people that come to the house because no one ever rings my bell to let me know they're here. They text and say that they're coming or they're doing it that time. Sometimes I'm not around my iPad where I receive the text, so I don't even know that they're here. The only way I would know that they're here is when my two dogs start barking. I'll look out the window and I see the truck. They're usually in and out. I'd like to see their phone system differently. You don't get a live person when you call. You usually have to leave a message. If you have an issue, you have to wait. Sometimes, it's 24 hours before you hear from somebody.

He even agreed with me how BAD that practice is... without my consent Terminix takes the word of unknown callers over the account holders or the property owners of which I am both. Ok, So we agreed, and when I asked him if I still needed to pay he said YES. Believe me I will never use this company even if they offered 1 year's worth of their service. I've got a yearly contract with Terminix for the termite and pest control. My home was tented a year ago because there's quite a bit of damage, so the damage might've been left over from that. They'd have killed the termites, but the damage was still there. I communicated with Terminix over the phone, and they made the arrangements for the construction company to come out. The construction company came out recently, and they fixed some termite damage.

Terminix usually calls me when a service is coming up or if I'll get billed for the termite contract. Most of their service guys have been pretty good. I had an issue with them about three years ago because we made arrangements to have the ceiling and also do the inclusion in the ceiling, but the driver never showed up and they never called me. We ended up just dropping it. First, I called the tech and they told me his truck had broken down. Then I called Terminix because I would've appreciated the call letting me know that they weren't coming. I didn't get any of that. Then, the person that I dealt with at Terminix was pretty bold. We could've got in a dispute if I'd been in the office or he had been out here. He was very abrupt. I said, "I would expect a call from you so that I'm not sitting here waiting for them." Other than that, they've been pretty good.

I don't have any problems with spiders or that type of thing. If so, it's very rare. As far as the termites, every time I've called Terminix that I've located termites, they've come out and treated it. The problem I have with Terminix is a lot of their work is contracted out. In fact, I was told the last time, they don't even get the house that they contracted out. So it's like going through a middleman. I could go on the internet and find somebody for what they're doing. They weren't really that competitive in doing the insulation and the other service.

Terminix comes out once a year and do the inspection. This time, they didn't come in. I've been with Terminix since ‘93 when I bought my home and the contract was transferred into my name. In ‘93, the bill was less than $100 a year, and it goes up every year, and I've never had termites. I have to call them sometimes to remind them to come out and inspect. This year, because of COVID, no one came in the house, which I don't understand. It's just me. We could both have on mask, but they didn't come in. My bill increases every year, too. Now, it’s over $300. They should at least give me a discount for being a long-time customer.

As far as the service, I used to have to schedule it, but now, they all contact me sometimes. I have to remind them, but they’ll usually contact me via email. Usually, the service people will talk and it doesn't really take that long. They come in with the flashlights, they look here and there, and they’d go outside. It wouldn’t take a good 15 minutes. Terminix needs to bring my bill down. I'd tell others that unless they got termite problem, they can do it themselves.

We have a regularly scheduled appointment with Terminix. They call us a day or two before someone is gonna come out for a service. It is common that a different person comes, but there is one that seems to come more often than anybody else. I called once because we were having some ants in the kitchen. The guy that was coming out most frequently is David. He's the route manager and he's been really good. I called him once and I got his voicemail. Then two days later, he came out. So, it's been good.

We had ghost ants in the kitchen. He put just a little bait around the window seals and where we were having an issue, and it solved it immediately. So that was good. And the last time he was out, he did a really extensive spray inside and out the house. We're here in Port Aransas on ground level. So, every once in a while, there'll be like a dead roach in the house. But we don't have any problem with roaches or anything of that sort. We're happy with the service. We had a severe termite. That was why we got started and that's pretty well stopped. We don't have any more activity. Terminix is professional, and they seem to know exactly what the situation is and deal with it. So, we've been extremely happy.

Then I got a text message that my technician would be arriving. I called him and he said he was sorry and that the office was supposed to have told me 24 hours or 48 hours in advance. They never do that.

I called to spoke to the manager who said that she was in Napa. When I started talking to her, she said that she was actually in Texas. That is about 2,000 miles away. I have recently lost my job so I asked if there was anything they could do until I become employed again and giving me a discount, ‘cause it's a very small property. We're talking about a two-bedroom home and a very tiny outside. The Texas office said that they would have the manager call. I asked Cameron about it and he said that his manager was aware of it, that she would call, and he would remind her.

It's been about two months now and no one has ever called me. I don't know who this manager is out there, but she's kinda invisible in the office. All they need to do is return a phone call. If they're gonna say no, be polite, say no, and move on. They should not leave somebody hanging. I can't believe they're that busy with the pest control that they can't call a customer when they run an office. But the service has been good and a lot of that has to do with my technician.

Terminix was scheduled to perform pest control service for me between the hours of 10am-12pm Sept 11. 12:00 came and went with no contact. Over the course of nearly four hours I repeatedly contacted terminix to find out where the tech was to no avail. Management was contacted and I never heard from them either. Finally around 4pm the guy shows up. I took time off work for this for nothing. I was then scheduled for a follow up service for 10/1 between 3pm-5pm. The guy never shows up. No call, nothing.

I contact customer service who contacted management saying they would assign me a new technician. Rescheduled me for that Saturday only for me to find out they lied and had scheduled me the exact same guy. I had enough and cancelled. Per their own policy, they state within 30 days if you are not satisfied they will cancel service and refund you. They are refusing to issue me a refund so now I need to contact an attorney. Do not use this company.

I've had Terminix out once, between services, to kill the spiders. They came for their regular service 'cause it hadn't done the job and then they came back, but we still had some issues with spiders. They're prompt and polite, and it's pretty easy to get through to them. I know it goes to a call center. However, personally, I'd rather buy locally and that's what it started out to be a number of years ago, but then this guy was bought out by Orkin, and then Terminix bought Orkin, and so forth. I'm not overly pleased and satisfied with the result at this time. I'm really contemplating switching but I haven't made that decision yet.

We've had Terminix inspecting for years but this is the first time we've ever needed a treatment. Trying to schedule was a bit of a bumpy road. The gentleman who came over and gave me the quote for the treatment had me electronically sign in a portable device. Then, he sent me the contract via email. When I got it, it didn't include the treatment for carpenter ants, which we agreed was needed and it was an extra charge. So, I wasn't sure whether the contract was correct or not and it took multiple calls to the Terminix 800 number to get that resolved.

After I signed that contract, a guy showed up to do the service. We never got a phone call or any warning that he was coming. So, that didn't happen because he had to treat inside and out for the carpenter ants. Then finally, I was told by Terminix at the 800 number to tear up that contract and they would send me another one, which they did not. However, four weeks later, another Terminix technician called and said he could come over the following week and treat the house. I said okay and that treatment went well. It was not 100% effective. I still had ants 10 days later and he came back and retreated last week. So, we hope we've got it under control right now. But time will tell.

There were a number of mistakes made in that contract process. I was charged the right amount of money, which we paid, but the biggest problem was I couldn't get in touch with the local guys that had come out to begin with. When you call the number on all the information, including the number by his name, you end up with the 800 number instead of him. He doesn't even know you've tried to reach him. The waits on that 800 number are an hour or more every day and so, what you have to do is leave your callback information. On the fourth attempt to do that, I finally got a call back. I would not recommend Terminix at this point because I'm not even sure the treatments are working but I still think it's a possibility this is gonna work out. The gentleman who came out to give me two treatments was a great guy and I was happy with his work and the discussions I had with him.

My husband was the one who wanted the service from Terminix. He bought into the monthly plan so the reps come once a month. We did a termite setup because there are termites around the area and we wanted to be preventative. There are also a lot of spiders and ants. They call and give us a rough estimate about the days they’ll be by. They give us a call a few days beforehand and say the day and time they’re gonna be there. Usually, the days and times are fine for us. We have to be home to let them in the backyard. So right now, with schooling at home, it's been working because I'm here. The service has been fine. Sometimes we get different people that seem friendly. I haven't seen any ants or any spiders so it may not be 100% effective but maybe there's a slight reduction in the pests. Everything's been good so far.

The exterminator was nice and polite, and seemed to know what he was doing. We only had one snafu when he was running late, but outside of that they've been here. The value is good. I don't see any carpenter ants nor spiders, which is a good thing, so I am happy. He also seems to be taking care of the mice problem we had.

I always kept the service when I first purchased the center because I know it's essential due to the line of business that I'm in. We also have a big dumpster and I didn't want us to have any unfriendly visitors while parents are here. I've been with Terminix for three years, and I'm still satisfied with the service. Charles is very efficient in what he does and has a good eye. He always finds little stuff. He also calls me to ensure that I'm going to be there. Even during COVID, he was still able to come and service the center. I really appreciate him going out and going the extra mile just to make sure that his clients are being serviced.

I've had a great service since I started with Terminix, and I don't have any plan on changing. We haven't had any creepy crawlies all around. Whatever the product is, it's working. I like the fact that it's a consistent service wherein someone comes out at the same time, on the same month. It’s a good recommendation to stay with a company wherein even if I don't get a reminder call, I know that service is going to be done so I don't have to chase anybody. Doing the right thing the first time, that's always the best policy.

The service has been good but I did have a couple of issues with them. They were supposed to credit my account and it doesn't look like they have so I got to call the department manager back to find out what's going on. I moved and transferred my service. I had them come out and do an extra service, and they said it wouldn't be charged and that they would still come out in June for my regular service. They charged me anyways and never came out in June. I called Terminix and a manager was supposed to call me back, but no one ever called me back. When I finally found the card for the manager in my area, he said they never received any information from the call center. I told him what happened and he said they will credit my account. But when they came out in September, I still got charged so I don't know if they credited my account or not.

I called Terminix a year ago because I had some kind of a vermin under my house. The young man worked and worked but never could get it to come out. It was probably the wrong time of year. It was winter instead of spring or summer. He found two places, one on the north side of my house and one on the far south side of my house, where whatever it was had come in and out. When he couldn't see it, he left several different kinds of food for it to eat in the box trap and then, he brought some heavy metal inch-wide wire-looking stuff that doesn't bend. He drove it into the ground by the side of my foundation. Whatever it was could have died under there.

The technicians from Terminix come out on a regular basis, which is probably every three months. A couple of days ago, I heard from the young man from Terminix when he would be here. Probably about half an hour before he came, he texted me that he would be here and he explained what he was going to do. He left the sheet of paper and also explained what he did. Then, he texted me a message and said he'd been here. He also said to give a call if I had any questions and his boss's name was on the paper.

I've been a customer for years with Terminix but not happy with them. In July a salesman came to check termites in my attic. He told me there are termites, definitely need fully spray treatment. After he found that I have plywood termite service contract with them, he immediately change his words and said the attic is clean, no termite, no treatment needed. Then he said, "You need pay $99/month for subterranean control, otherwise your house will be destroyed." How can I trust him?

With the current service contract, a regular inspector came to check my attic in August. He said there are termites and will report to regional manager to arrange spray treatment. Six weeks passed no technician shown up. During that period I called Terminix twice. On the phone the agent said the manager will contact me ASAP to schedule a treatment. But so far I haven’t got any call. This company failed to commit the service contract. This company is not trustable. If there is a 0 ranting I would give it to Terminix.

I told them I was not satisfied with their product at all and wanted a refund and cancel the service. They cancelled the service and returned a portion of the money. If I could give a company a zero star rating I would give it to Terminix. I will say that all of the bad comments you’ve read here about their unresponsive customer service and spontaneously switching your pest control appointments without telling you, are ABSOLUTELY TRUE. Every single time I called their customer service line, I was never able to get a live person. I ALWAYS got this automated message saying they were “experiencing longer than expected wait times”, no matter what day of the week or time of day I called them. Half the time, I was able to input my phone number and one of their customer service reps called me back within about 30 minutes. The other half of the time, my call was automatically dumped to a voice mail system where I was told to leave a message, and the customer service rep called me back – 24 hours later.

My miserable experience with Terminix began about a month ago. One Saturday afternoon, one of their sales reps came to my house saying they were offering a special on pest control for our neighborhood. I had been thinking about getting a pest control company to come out and spray my kitchen for ants. Every summer we get a few ants in the kitchen, but this summer they’ve been especially invasive. So I signed the contract with Terminix and paid them upfront. They told me the exterminator would be there that Thursday at 8:30.

That Thursday, a guy named Randy showed up at exactly 8:30. He asked me to show him exactly where I had seen the ants. I showed him the three spots in my kitchen where I had seen the ants, and he sprayed in those three spots and nowhere else, and then left. He was there for no more than 5 minutes. I thought at the time that didn’t seem to be a very thorough job, but I’m not an exterminator. Three days later we started seeing ants again, first in new places we never saw them before (like the living room by the fireplace and in front of the garage door), then the old places where we used to see them all the time (the places Randy sprayed by the way). Not only did the spraying not get rid of the ants, it made them even worse.

So I called the customer service line Saturday morning, left my number and they called me back a half hour later. I explained my problem, and they the earliest they could send Randy back out to respray on Thursday the 20th at 8:30. I wrote down the date and time and told them that was fine. Thursday came and went and nobody showed up all day. I called the customer service line back, left my number, and when the customer service rep called me back, she told me I had the date wrong and my service date was not the 20th at 8:30, it was Tuesday the 25th at 8:30 – which is not what they told me and not what I wrote down when I called them.

On Tuesday morning I’m waiting around for the exterminator to show up and 8:30 comes and nobody shows up. So I wait and wait, and at 9:30, I have to leave to go to work. At 10:10 I get a call from Randy who tells me that he’s outside my house to spray for cockroaches (cockroaches?) and nobody is answering the door. I tell him I had to leave and go to work and couldn’t wait around for him any longer, and I was expecting him almost two hours ago. First, he tells me he is late because he had to go pick up a part for his truck and somebody from Terminix should have called me to tell me he was running late – nobody called me. Then he changes his story, and tells me that all appointments are two hour windows, so my appointment was really 8:30-10:30, therefore he really isn’t late at all since it’s only 10:10. Nobody told me anything about a two hour window when I called the customer service line. If they had, I would have tried to schedule a weekend appointment.

So I angrily call the customer service line again, only this time I get booted to the voice mail system. I leave a message telling them I want to cancel my contract, but first I want what I paid them for and they need to send somebody to spray my house for ants, properly this time. EXACTLY 24 HOURS LATER, the customer service rep calls me back the next day, and says they’ll cancel my contract, and will send Randy out on Saturday the 29th between 8:30 and 10:30. I tell her I don’t want Randy to do it, since he did such a poor job spraying the first time. The rep tells me they can send a guy named Dave instead, and he’ll be there from 8:30-10:30.

So that Saturday comes and goes and nobody shows up all day. I haven’t called Terminix back since then, but if I did I get the feeling they’re not going to call me back this time. Since they’re not getting any more money out of me, I’m sure they don’t feel the need to make sure I’m satisfied at this point. The problem is that they’re acting in bad faith and not upholding their end of our agreement – to kill the ants in my house and make sure they stay away for more than 3 days.

I ultimately decided to wash my hands of Terminix and get APS (the pest control company that does our termite bond) to come and spray for ants. They charge about the same as Terminix, but they actually answer the phone when you call them, and their tech showed up early and spent about 45 minutes treating the house. My guess is that we don’t see any more ants after that. My advice for anyone looking for pest control services - find a local company and stay away from these giant franchise type places like Terminix.

I am thoroughly disappointed with the service provided by this company. We are 11 months into living in our newly-purchased home and we noticed we had an ant problem inside the house and mice in the attic. After doing some research, we decided to go with Terminix. I spoke with a rep on the phone and decided to go with the pest control plan with the rodent add-on, with the service being scheduled for the next day between 3pm and 5pm. The next day we had gotten to 6pm and still hadn't heard a word from the gentleman who was performing the service. I called Terminix and got nothing but automated messages.

Finally just after 6, the pest control guy called, saying he would be here in 15 minutes-late without a courtesy call, but no big deal. When he shows up, he asks what he could do for us, I told him the services we requested. He then told me that he didn't do the rodent extermination, and that someone else would be calling me about that. Ok, so the rep never told me there would be two people coming. We continue to move forward with the service, a bit irritated at the lack of communication. Once he finishes with outside area, he comes back to the door and asks where I want him to spray in the house. Maybe this is a wiff on my part, but if you're exterminating pests, shouldn't the ENTIRE house be sprayed? I told him the key areas where we noticed the pests and he ONLY sprays in those areas.

When he finished, he gave me his number and told me if I need him to come back just call him directly. The next morning, my wife notices that we have ants now invading our bedroom. I called the pest control guy directly and left a voice mail, then I called Terminix and got the same automated messages. I left voice mail here, expecting a return call within 24 hours, according to the automated message. This is now DAY 4. I haven't heard from the pest control guy, and I haven't heard from Terminix returning my message OR about the rodent issue that they charged me for. I am beyond upset with the poor level of service, but more so that they've charged me for a service they didn't complete and don't even have a live person I can speak to about it. At this point, I will write a review on every website I can find until they return my call and refund my money! I will not be doing business with them again.

They charged me $1500 for a service they couldn't provide, I requested my money back and they kept hanging up the phone on me. I called Terminix because I have some issues with pest and I needed a professional company for pest control. They sent a salesperson over (Troy) to give me a quote on Monday (August 10th) and I agreed and paid $1377 for pest control and $119 for anti-insects spraying all around the house. The salesperson guaranteed that I won't have any insects for 3 months and that the pest control team will service me attic and block all entrances and clean all the dead rats from there, they will block all entrances around my house to prevent rodents and animals from entering the bottom of my home and he said they will make sure every single entrance to this house will be blocked.

On Thursday (August 13th) the anti-insect team showed up at my house and left within 3 minutes, I have cameras all over my house and I can easily prove my statement if needed. The same day I already had spiders and insects all over my walls, he didn't do anything! You can see that he simply walks quickly around the house pretends to spray the chemical but he actually just walks and sprays it wherever and leaves, all that in less than 3 minutes and no results what so ever. Later that day the pest-control team arrived to block all entrances and set traps for animals and rodents. That guy went to the attic and said that theres no issues there (I wen't right after and saw a dead rat and plenty of rat poop everywhere), he got on the roof and said that theres nothing there either (the rodents enter the attic through the roof there is a hole there that is pretty obvious).

About 25 mins later that guy left the property saying that he's done, without blocking any of the entrances around the house! I had to point them out to him and at that point I told him that it's clear that they just collect money and don't do as they promise and I requested him to leave and said that I will be asking for my money back. This company has a 30 day money back guarantee if a client isn't satisfied with the service. Well I wasn't satisfied the same day they showed up because both teams did nothing and basically charged me $1500 for absolutely nothing!

I called Terminix and spent hours over the phone they kept telling me they are providing a refund and hanging up on me eventually. I spent 30 minutes on hold then they hung up, 1.5 hours on hold then they hang up, another 20 mins and another 45 mins. I also contacted the salesperson Troy and he said he's sorry for what's happening both verbally and through text messages which I'm going to attach to this complaint. I am not satisfied with the service because this company didn't provide what they promised, and they also promised full satisfaction or money back which is another promise that they don't back up. As a brother of a lawyer, it is easy for me to file a lawsuit against this company, which I will do if I won't get my money back.

The short version: Terminix is impossible to call when you need help, the technicians arrive onsite unprepared, their scheduling department is a disaster. If you have a specific issue, forget it, this is not the company you need. My experience: I called Terminix about critters in my attic. They set an appointment with me for the Friday afternoon. On the Friday morning they called me to notify that they had no openings on that day (this happens I suppose) and then proceeded to reschedule me for the Saturday afternoon. Their technican arrived; and said there were no notes about critters in the attic and that he did not bring any of the tools required to take care of it. He said that he would notify the regional manager about this and they would contact me to get this resolved.

Fast forward 2 weeks; Terminix has still not contacted. I proceeded to get in contact with them to resolve the issue and found its a 90 MIN wait time to speak to someone. I eventually spoke to someone only to get disconnected by them. The representative I spoke to did not call me back. I then called again; waited 45 MIN this time only for their line to disconnect as soon as the rep got connected. This is unacceptable. A person should be able to get service after paying for a service.

I told Terminix I would only continue their service at the rate of 1 visit per 6 months. The representative agreed and said he understood. Then he came out back a few months later while I was gone. I immediately called canceled service and was told the fee would be waived on the unrequested service. I then received a bill in the mail for $140 on the service I was told was being waived. After a 20 minute wait I reached Tyriek ** who was no help. He told me he would do his best. His best was not that good. I had been a Terminix customer for over 10 years. I think they are suffering under Covid.

Rise Pest Control came out a few days later and they are amazing. Terminix always told me there was nothing they could really do about spiders and wasps. The first thing Rise Pest Control said is that, "We will get rid of your spiders and wasps." Rise also said that the chemicals last for 3 months and it makes no sense for a pest control company to come out after 2 months.

Called manager and got no return call. Called customer service and was promised a return call in 1 to 2 business days. No call. Called customer service again and after a 30 minute conversation with a very nice Rachel, I was promised a return call from a manager. Guess what! No return phone call. Got another company and after one visit, problem solved. Terminix got me for $136 but will never get another dime from me or anyone I know. They don’t deserve the one star I gave them.

He completed the inspection and never gave me a receipt. Unfortunately for me the VA loan needed a receipt. I called the company every other day, trying to get a receipt. No one would return my phone or provide a receipt until 15 days later( which pushed my closing to the following month). This company will not return your phone calls lied to me. I was completely scammed and will be taking them to court and making sure that everyone is aware of what kind of company Terminix is. In the contract it states I have 3 days to cancel and that Terminix is to come and remove their goods within 20 days, nowhere does it state I must pay for something that I am not keeping. First of all, I am a senior citizen & have been a customer for 20 years & moved to KY, was told "just give them the address & they will take care of the rest." I called on July 15th to give new address & make appt for a spray & service in my empty house before moving in. Called the 17th to confirm, my appt for the 22nd of July 8-noon. I drove 5 hours to ky just for this appt...NO SHOW, NO CALL. I drove 5 hrs back. After several calls everyday for 30-40 mins at a time hung up on & lied to, to see what happened, no one knew anything, I was moving on Saturday the 25th, finally talked to a supervisor that assured me a tech would be there after 1, we pulled in at 11am & waited & waited & called & called to make sure someone was coming. Was told they were coming between 4-7.

Even after 7, called until 10 pm & was still told the rep James ** was still coming. Couldn't unpack or unload trailer or trucks 'til they got there & guess what? After a dozen calls all day long NO SHOW!!! Still had to go to Ohio to get the last load, so was forced to unload into a house with cockroaches, spiders, mice & various other bugs. They have made this the most stressful move & have cost us so much more money than we anticipated with their NON SERVICE!!!! Worst customer service EVER, FALSE advertisement, LIE after LIE. I have an appt with Orkin for a free quote on service with them, it wouldn't take much for them to be better than Terminix. After 20 years I am DONE. He also said the financing was 10% interest and when I had the paperwork emailed to me it was 18% interest. I got a second opinion from a home inspector and another pest company. The home inspector said the insulation was fine and the other pest company quoted me $500 for the pest removal. I'm appalled by dishonesty of Terminix.

This company sucks. I received a call from the company 2 weeks after my pest control service in March 2020. The supervisor called to advised that the tech that came to my house tested positive for Covid 19. It was a heads up that we may have been exposed. Nobody in my home showed any symptoms. I called approx 3 months later to schedule a pest control service, since I started seeing a bunch of ants. The same tech from March called to advise he was coming. I called the company’s call center to advise I did not feel comfortable with the same tech coming back to my home since I have small children and I have a Heart condition. The call center rep said a field manager would contact me regarding the situation. I’m still waiting on that call.

I called the call center back 2 days after that last call. I explained what happened. The rep was apologetic and assured me that a field manager would call me back this time. She even went as far as telling me the name of the supervisors that she left a voicemail for (Nicholas ** & Kevin **). I’m still waiting on that call. My wife called to make another appointment, and explained what happened since I was so frustrated and the rep assured us again that someone would call us. Still waiting on that call. So they booked an appoint when my wife called last week. The appoint was for today.

I got a call from the SAME TECH FROM MARCH last night advising he was coming today. He realized who I was and even he couldn’t believe that I still haven’t been contacted. He said he would call the field manager on his personal cell to make sure he would call me today. I called the tech back about 30 minutes ago to advise nobody called me. He said the Manager would call by the end of the day. I have ants crawling all over the kitchen. I have an autistic son who doesn’t understand that ants are not toys. SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP.

If I can give 0 stars I would. Frustrated, Livid and angry only touch the surface of what my wife and I are feeling after the experience we had with Terminix the last four days; and the problem has yet to be resolved. We signed up with Terminix less than a month ago and I will be cancelling our service tomorrow and will make sure our money is returned as Terminix did not hold their end of the bargain (aka contract). Poor is an understatement about the service we have received and all while my family's well-being is at risk. We woke up Saturday 7/18 to find fire ants in our pantry. We called Saturday and was told the earliest a technician could come out was Wednesday.

This was disappointing/shocking to us as our previous provider had emergency service who would come out almost immediately. We explained that wouldn't work especially because we have small children. They suggested keeping the appointment. They left a message for the branch manager to put us down as urgent and move us up. Meanwhile, after that, I received an email confirming an appointment for THURSDAY. A manager never called us back Saturday. In the meantime we pick up store bought stuff. Sunday we woke to find ants all over our kitchen counter.

We called Sunday and was told everything is closed and no one can come out. They tried contacting the branch manager again but to no avail. They left another message for our branch manager on Sunday as urgent, but again no response. They said the branch manager would call us Monday, but no one called. Meanwhile I had reached out to the guy that sold us our plan as well...as well as our technician (who said in the past if you ever need anything, call or text him). The person who sold the plan - his voicemail box was full and didn't respond to any texts. And our technician didn’t respond either.

By now we have ants throughout kitchen and in our kids bedrooms and bathrooms. We each have already gotten bit at least once. We called Monday and as we started explaining again our issue, the rep hung up on us. No call back. Called again and spoke to someone who said someone would be here between 8am and 10am. No one showed and when we called around 2 we were told they actually had us down for next Sunday at the same time! Then the rep on the phone Benji tried tracking a branch manager again; of course she couldn't get a hold of him; so she called Mark, another manager. And she guaranteed someone would be here today Weds. No one ever came.

We called back again earlier this evening and asked to talk to a manager and after being on hold for 50 minutes, got disconnected. Called back again, same thing happened. We will no longer be doing an business with Terminix and will be cancelling our service tomorrow and expect a full refund. Their service, or lack-thereof has been unacceptable.

I have been using Terminix for 15 years. Yearly they would come around and inspect for termites and after the inspection they would spray around the foundation of the home as a preventative to infestation. Last July after paying $185.00 for the inspection and for what I thought was a "retreatment" as stated on the invoice the serviceman stated that they no longer spray. He claimed it was ineffective. When I asked what I am paying the $185.00 for his answer was "for the insurance just in case you have a problem". This year they increased the billing to $225.00 and claimed they would not longer spray and the $225.00 was an insurance policy. I told them don't bother coming.

Enough so, that their lender needed clarification. I spoke with 5 different Terminix managers and sr. technicians, no one could help, seemingly. I was finally directed to Ashley ** in the Phoenix area, (maybe Tucson) she made things happen. She got a tech out the next day, a treatment completed, a subsequent wdiir generated, and it was enough to satisfy the VA buyer's lender. She thought out of the box apparently, she should be congratulated and thanked abundantly. She did what others apparently couldn't, she fixed the issue.

A huge shout out to Ashley ** in AZ, she went the distance that none of her associates did. She followed up and communicated even after the appointments the next day had been made. Her professionalism and diligence exceeded what the norms seem to be today, I hope that her superiors read this and take not on how blessed they are to have her on their team. A kid came to my door a few weeks back selling Terminix services. We do have sugar ants, as do many people in our area in the summer. However, we live on a lake and are very concerned about runoff, so we never use any herbicides or pesticides on our property. When I told the kid this, he actually acknowledged that Terminix had been sued for this kind of thing in the past and said they now used something that was plant-based. So I agreed to give him my email address so he could send me more information. But I was emphatic that I would need time to do research, etc. and did NOT want to schedule service. As I told him, I was also caring for ailing parents and really did not have much time. As such, I had not had any time to open the emails he sent. (Both from "do not reply" addresses, one confirming my email address, which I didn't do and another, immediately following that one, listing an appointment that I did not make!)

I only realized this when I got a call from a regional manager to "reschedule" this appointment. I missed this call and another, again immediately following, from the technician assigned to my "account" (which I never set up!) saying he'd be at my home first thing today. (The message was left after 5 pm last night!) I have been calling all the numbers I have, for the manager, the technician, the main number for information, and can get NO ONE to confirm that they will not be showing up at my house this morning and spraying toxic crap all over my property! This is such a scam.

I am SO GLAD I did not give anyone any credit card information. But my fear is that they will come (I am not there; it's just my elderly parents in the home at the moment) and spray crap everywhere and then insist that we pay them! I am so upset. This is a really shady business practice. I feel harassed. I plan to file complaints elsewhere...but no wonder they get such low ratings, even here on a site they pay for!

Very, very disappointed with your company and your customer service department. I was a customer of a family owned pest control business that you took over. I've been paying $125 PER MONTH for weed control since they took over and still have a yard full of weeds. I grew very tired of paying for a service I was not receiving and tried to call to cancel my service. After being placed ON HOLD for over 45 minutes and having to listen to your looping message over and over and over again, I finally gave up and wrote PLEASE CANCEL MY SERVICE on my bill and mailed it in the envelope provided. At the same time, I also scheduled a bank check to pay the $125 that I currently owed.

A month later, I received another bill, this one was for $250. I immediately called and again, waited ON HOLD approximately 45 minutes before a customer service rep came on the phone and told me that a second service had been done. I explained what had happened and she said she told me that she had to transfer me to the billing department. I was again placed ON HOLD, this time for about 30 minutes. When somebody finally came back on the phone, I was told that somebody from my actual service branch would review and call me to discuss. This never happened.

Mind you, even if the second service was presumably performed (after my cancellation), only 1/2 of the yard could have been sprayed because my back gate is always kept locked because of my dogs. I never received a courtesy call from my technician the night before indicating that he was coming nor were there any flags left in my yard? And so that brings me to last night. I had just picked up my fiance from the airport, he travels for work and was finally back home.

I went to my mailbox and found another letter from Terminix indicating that my account was in danger of being reported to the credit bureau for non-payment and again, I picked up the phone to call customer service. This time I waited ON HOLD for about 35 minutes, all along being tortured by the same looping message that plays over and over and over again. I finally got somebody on the phone and she assured me that she was also a customer and that she understood my dilemma, agreed completely with me and would see that the $125 for the extra service would be credited.

She then explained that she wasn't authorized to accept payment for the $125 that I still owed prior to cancellation and that I would have to be transferred to the department that handled that. And guess what, more HOLD time. All the while, my husband had grilled steaks for dinner and it was now sitting in front of me getting cold because we wanted to finally have a meal together. But here I am stuck on perpetual hold with Terminix. After being on the phone for approximately 55 minutes total, one more rep came on the phone and promptly and curtly told me that the woman I had spoken to earlier, who in her words, couldn't even speak proper English, was not authorized to credit my account and that I owed $250 and that was that. I honestly couldn't believe what I was hearing.

I asked to speak to a manager and she told me she was the manager, the only manager, and that if I didn't pay, my account would be sent to the credit bureau. Before she hung up on me, she sarcastically told me to have a blessed day. Now I'm not sure if these long hold times are Covid related or not? I know a lot of companies are struggling with customer service issues due to the pandemic and I'm also pretty sure there are a lot of customers who haven't been able to pay for their services because of it. I am gratefully not one of those people and prior to this whole thing happening, my account reflects that I have always paid promptly and without issue. I just want Terminix to be fair about this. Thank you!!

Traps are supposed to be place by bath tubs to check for termites and we have NO TRAPS. Drill holes are supposed to be in concrete slab areas (driveway, porches, patio) and we have NO DRILL HOLES. We have lots of concrete areas that they could not treat without drill holes. Failed at checking inside of home for years.

We contacted the State Dept. of Ag. and upon inspection, their report confirms that Terminix failed to put traps and drill holes, etc. Managers were rude when we complained and wants to sweep it all under the rug and start over. They want to come out now and do all the work they should have done over the past 35+ years for a another FEE. We think we have given them enough money for NEGLECT. We contacted an attorney and they refuse to give us their legal dept. information. They jeopardized our home and cannot honestly tell us if we have termites.

On Tuesday, June 2, 2020 I had Scott come and inspect my home and exterior for termites. He was very thorough. His State of Florida ID # was on his card! He gave me a tri-fold brochure with three estimates for protection against subterranean termites. I had two more companies coming to do the same. Who would not get more estimates? Well, the next inspector gave me three estimates also; one of the estimates included dry wood termite protection.

I called Scott back on June 9th to find out if dry wood termite protection was an option. He said yes and gave me an estimate of a one time fee over the phone. I asked both of them if they used sub-contractors for any of their work. They both said no. I looked at the second companies' contracts and realized I had some questions. Apparently, they do not cover any repairs needed if termites strike. Thus, I wanted to find out exactly what the plans included that I was quoted from Terminix. After June 9th I called Scott's cell phone 3 times and left messages. I called the office number on his card twice and left messages. Last night my husband asked why I would be interested in getting treatment/prevention of termites from a company that will not return my phone calls. What happens if we find evidence of termites after we sign up with them? Would they answer that phone call?

On June 16th I called Terminix's 877 number. I wanted to give them one last chance. I have spoken to Marian who was unable to reach 2 or 3 people. Next she transferred me to, Vince, a division service coordinator. He put me on hold and said he spoke with Tasheana, local service coordinator, who could contact Fred, the branch manager, to find out what is going on. Vince said he would be my contact from now on. He said he would send me an email with his contact information. While I was talking to Vince, I received a call from an 866 number. Vince thought that would be someone from my local office.

I hung up with him and found out it was a computer calling wanting my feedback from my most recent experience talking to Terminix customer service. I did not give any feedback and hung up. I checked my email and had none from Terminix. I was no further along than I was when I originally called June 16th. I am not 100% satisfied!!!! I feel like I did after Hurricane Irma. My elderly mother paid a large sum of money for Terminix to drill holes and apply Termidor into the ground and through the concrete around her home. Mom has passed away and we now have a contract for the sale of her house. The buyer called two different companies for a termite letter. Both companies are reporting to us that the termite treatment was not done correctly by Terminix. They also found inactive termite tunnels. The closing is in two days and Terminix has not called me back to address the reports generated by the other two inspections. The buyer wants a complete report from Terminix and all records for the property or a complete new treatment of the property.

I spoke to a customer service person for Terminix this morning, she is located in the Philippines. She assured me that she would have someone send the records to my email immediately. That was 3 hours ago. I have called the State of Georgia Licensing and learned that pest control and termite control does not require a license in the State of Georgia. It is two days until closing. My only recourse if Terminix does not address this issue will be Social Media and paying for the Terminix alleged error myself. I will also be cancelling the annual Terminix inspection on my own home if, in fact, that they don't stand behind the work that my elderly mother paid them for in good faith.

I recently purchased my home knowing I should have termite prevention maintenance. I reached out to the previous owner to asked who they had. They told me they had Terminix. When reaching out to this company, I was initially told that I would need an inspection before they would give me a quote. I agreed. A couple of days later, while I was driving, a gentleman called me to inform me that I did not need a quote, and that previous owner paid for termite prevention good for the remainder of the year. He told me I did not need an inspection, and that a manager would be calling me back to arrange a time to set traps, bait, or whatever was needed.

After about a week, I did not hear from anyone. I then called the company to find out what was going on. After speaking and holding on with one representative for 30 minutes or so, she informed me she was able to see the conversation, and then said she transferred me to a manager. I was on hold for this manager for about half an hour. He then tells me that I was misinformed, does not see where it is paid, and that I would have to set up an inspection and get a new quote. After a few minutes of banter, I agreed because he asked me to give him a contracted number showing it was paid for. I do not have that. I was not the person who told me that it was paid for. One of their representatives did. He set up an inspection time for a time block of 8 AM to 12 PM. Nobody ever showed. Nobody ever called.

Now, I am not trying to get something for nothing, but how does 1 person a week prior to this conversation see a paid contract, and then 1 week later it does not exist? Much to often recently, companies have told me 1 thing, and then apologize for the "misinformation" that I am given. This company wasted hours of my time and take no responsibility for the misinformation given to me. After I called to complain about the no show/no call, nothing was done to make things right. What happened to customer service?

Seller requested an inspection from terminix and Larry ** from the Boca Raton office did the inspection and said no evidence of termites in writing. Closed on the house and the contractor doing work in the house said he keeps seeing termites walking everywhere. Had a company come out and inspect the house and the house is full of termites that have been there for years. Terminix had a yearly contract with previous owner. What have they done for years? Evidence is in plain sight everywhere.

He wasn’t even apologetic about it and basically hung up on me. I don’t want this service but am stuck paying for it for the next year. I told him to make sure he notes on my account that next May my contract is canceled and I won’t pay for any services after that and I know my call is being recorded for supervisors. I was enthusiastic about the pest control & prevention service that was presented by the sales rep, but made the mistake of paying everything upfront. You would think I would know better. After that, I never heard from the sales rep, not even a courtesy call to see how things were going. From then on no one followed up. I had to call to schedule technician visits and they never came when they said they would. The technicians, however, did a good job. When I expressed my dissatisfaction, the sales rep and manager said they would schedule a call with me due to COVID-19. That call never happened. I anticipate the actual pest control & prevention service will end up working, but urge others to think twice about Terminix for customer service after the sale. No one there seems to be concerned about it.

Two weeks AFTER the outside was sprayed for ants and pests we now have an infestation that happened suddenly. 2 days ago I called 1-800-TERMINIX and was told someone would call within 24 hours with an appointment time since they could not find ANY available. 24 hours later I called again. TWICE. No calls back. No one follows up. No one cares that I have ants crawling across me in my house. Yes, it is is holiday weekend, but it WASN'T when I called yesterday.

In the last 2 days I have spent 3 1/2 hours on the phone with Terminix just trying to get an appointment. This has happened every time I have called in the past 3 years. So fed up. I will be looking elsewhere for pest control service! Our area is Southern New Hampshire. These people are totally unresponsive. Since there is nowhere to go during a pandemic you would think they could be bothered to answer their phones and email and texts sent by headquarters. I have had a contract for this service for 18 years. You would think they would want to keep customers, but I guess it's not a big deal to them. DON'T USE THEM!!!

I wish that I had read all of the other terrible reviews about Terminix’s basically non-existent customer service before I signed up with them. Their schedule for coming to your house is automated. They set it without checking with the homeowner. I am having extensive construction done on my property and it would be silly for Terminix to treat a worksite. Even though I communicated to Terminix that I was cancelling the scheduled service, I received two notices that they were coming. I had to call and stay on the phone for half an hour to make them cancel it. I said that I would let them know when construction was complete so that they could come. But then the next week, I received another notice that they were coming. I had to go through the same process and being on hold a long period again just to cancel something I had already said not to schedule.

Then it happened again the next week and again the week after that. I spent at least two hours on the phone and still continued to get notices that they were coming to my house. I finally had to terminate the entire service. I could never get a live human to put my service on hold, as requested. When I called to complain, I was told that customer service is always available 24-7. They may have someone who eventually answers the phone, but they certainly do not serve the customer. I have now read many other reviews about the terrible phone problems and poor customer service. It’s a shame that such a big, financially successful company cares so little about its customers. Do yourself a favor and shop around. The frustration and time you have to waste trying just to get an intelligent decision at Terminix is not worth it.

I contacted Terminix about a potential bed bug problem. Scheduled an evaluation. They came and said yes, there were bed bugs, and it would be about $2,000 to take care of. Scheduled for the exterminator to come out and we sent our cats to be boarded. There was 1 exterminator that came out, he didn't have any of the bed encasements for the beds, didn't put any of the traps under the furniture either. He also asked my husband where the problem was.

When I called to inquire about why these things were not done I was told the encasements were on back order and would have to wait. Well, we waited about 2 weeks and after repeatedly calling they finally came out again with the encasements. Called for them to come out a second time because we were still having problems and again sent our cats to be boarded. Waited a half an hour after the scheduled time to call Terminix again because there still was no exterminator, only to be told they scheduled the wrong exterminator to come out and would have to reschedule.

This is the second time we scheduled our 4 cats to be boarded, which is not cheap. So the second time the exterminator came out (after the other was wrongly scheduled) we were told that we didn't have to board our cats that they could be locked in the bathroom. This exterminator did a more thorough job than the previous one so we were hopeful that the problem was solved. We did everything we were told to do, vacuum the furniture, under the beds etc. Here it is not even 8 months later and we start seeing bed bugs again! Terminix, we were told, only offers a 90 day guarantee. So we are out $2,000 + $300 (to board our cats) and we still have bed bugs! Please do not use Terminix!!

Initially I was very excited for this service. But once they were done and left I started finding damage around my home that they caused. They have not yet told me how they are going to reimburse me for all the damages. A person did come back the next day and took my boxes out of the attic and put them on the ground for me that they very rudely sprayed all that so called insulation all over! My stored stuff in the attic all ruined! I had important papers stored up there. They sprayed all over all of them instead of taking them down out of the attic before they did their thing! Pretty bad and unprofessional. Also, they stomped in the attic and caused my texture on my kitchen wall to crack from the ceiling to the floor. They have not yet offered to fix this or to reimburse me to fix this. Also, my water heater quit working after they left that day.

I have had it checked by the gas company and by a plumber but no one can figure out what they did to the water heater to make it quit working. They think that the Terminix guys sprayed the texture in a way that caused a air flow issue with the water heater but it is still not fixed so the plumber is still working on it. We may have to replace the entire water heater but I'm not sure yet. This is a lot of anguish for me to deal with! If I had known this was going to happen I would have taken a different route on dealing with a rodent issue. Also, the Terminix sales guy told me this new insulation they put in would make my home warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer but ever since they took my insulation out and put theirs in my house has been extra cold at night I have had to run my heater MUCH MORE! I cant understand it. I wish my insulation was back in there!

I'm very afraid of what will happen now when summer hits! My electric bill is probably going to be sky high! I guess I'm going to have to put pink panther insulation up there on top of what they put down now! Very expensive. I have been crying every day since they did this to my house! I'm so upset and I very much feel ripped off! They said they have a money back guarantee but did not even mention any of this to me AFTER the so called work was done. VERY UPSET CUSTOMER HERE! Sad that companies do this to people now. I'm on disability so they took advantage of a disabled person as well here. Just sad and pathetic. BEWARE!

We have been loyal Terminix customers for 19+ years in our current home in NC. Even though they have been under contract to 'pest control' our property, recently we've had to engage additional (expensive!) services for other services once an infestation is discovered. For example, last year, squirrels were discovered in our attic and we paid $885 to remove the animals and do the exclusionary work on the roof. Two weeks ago during the 'annual inspection' in the crawl space, I was presented with an work estimate of $5,586.50 to remedy a mice problem down there that was a known problem for the last several years (it included exclusionary work + clean up + ~$4K worth of insulation that needed to be replaced).

I thought a 'Pest control' company was supposed to 'control pests' and find ways to keep them from getting in - especially those already known to exist in a home like the mice that were in the crawl space. What's the sense of having coverage if the only solution is a very expensive 'fix on fail' operating plan like Terminix. I am looking elsewhere for my pest control services.

Terminix billed me $375 for service they say they performed at my apartment building in the 60649 area. As the owner of the building I never authorized the service and can't even be sure they ever performed anything. Terminix has no signed work order from me, no verbal or written authorization, etc. Additionally, the tenant says they don't recall ever speaking with them. Even if the tenant had called, Terminix should bill the tenant. To show up at a property without the owner's consent, perform work without owner consent, and then bill the owner and put them in collections is simply fraud. There are dozens of negative reviews on multiple websites as to this firm. They simply have no interest in running a business with integrity.

Terminix was contacted to handle my mouse problem. The mice were leaving droppings in the silverware drawer weekly. They sold me a plan claiming it would fix my mouse problem. Within a month my mouse problem got worse and they began leaving droppings in the silverware drawer daily. I called to see what they would do to rectify the situation. The agent who came out to inspect said the plan they sold me was mainly for bugs, spiders, and termites. Offered to sell me another plan to keep mice out and to handle the mice inside. I declined for obvious reasons and demanded they take steps to actually fix my problem before I would pay another cent.

The agent sent informed me that he would get in contact with the branch manager and the branch manager would be in touch. I waited an entire week before calling back due to no communication between the branch manager and myself. He said they would try to get a hold of the branch manager and did not understand why they had not gotten in contact with me.

I waited another week before calling again, explained the situation, and the representative told me they would try to get a hold of the branch manager, failed to do so, and told me they would send a message to them. I waited another week, called back, explained my story again and this representative attempted to reach the branch manager again. This representative informed me that they had sent a memo out previously and that he would send an email, and to call back if the manager did not get a hold of me by the end of the day Monday. Tuesday came around without a peep and I called back once more, this time I was able to get a hold of the coordinator Christine. After having dealt with the horrid antics of this company for a month I demanded a refund, that they fix my problem without charging any more money, or I would take legal action. They refused the refund or to fix my problem.

Updated on 02/08/2020: Terminix contacts me after my review to let me know they will contact me to help resolve my case. I don’t understand why no one tried to properly address the issues before I published how they handled the entire situation. I am told that now someone from local office will be contacting me. As a customer with this experience, as you can imagine, I don’t want to have any further interaction with a local employee regarding any further service options or any other additional work they would propose to do.

Original Review: Hi, In simple words, Terminix stole my money 1) by promoting their services for stink bugs while knowing that their services were never a solution to stink bugs and never owning up to their word. When I asked for the refund of my money, the same people who sold me their services suddenly started to say that "that approval comes from the local store manager", which was never in the picture when they were taking my money. 2) The customer service representative tell you that they record the conversation they had with you. Reality is they don't record ANYTHING. After several calls, I started to ask them to read me what they wrote. I think this was the only way for them to forcefully write something in the system.

    3) It took 6 months for the store manager to FINALLY take the time to call me, and his excuse for not calling me before was as he stated: "I get hundreds of calls from people and when I call back they don't answer". This is never good enough answer to give to a customer they you already ripped off for hundreds of dollars for a service that was NEVER designed to work for her needs. 4) After I finally get a call from the local store manager and spending hours and hours and hours on the phone with countless people from Terminix, due to months worth of frustration, I agree to pay a portion of the fee of a service that was NEVER DESIGNED TO WORK FOR MY PROBLEM.

    5) Afterward Terminix takes weeks to enter the adjusted value into their system. After the adjustment is done, I don't receive any communication from Terminix. 5 calendar days after the adjustment is officially registered in their system, I get a call from Terminix telling me that the account was transferred to a collection agency. I ask them why they would transfer the account to a collection agency while I was waiting for their own employees to complete their own task (entering the adjusted rate into their system). I said that the adjustment being made 5 days ago (the 5th day is Saturday by the way) and I received no communication that told me that the adjustment was finally done, and the first call I get was to let me know that the account was transferred to a collection agency.

    6) When I try to figure out how to pay the adjusted fee with the collection agency, it turns out the collection agency can't see my account. I call Terminix to at least tell me what number I should refer to for the collection agency to tell me how I can pay. Terminix customer service representatives reroute my call and hang up the phone for 3 different times. On the 4th try I finally get the supervisor on the line, at the end she acts like she suddenly cannot hear me while I can hear her 100% perfectly, and she hangs up on my face.

This company has been the worst company I have ever spent hundreds of dollars for. They are thieves for selling customers services that they know won't work for customers' problems. Additionally, they drain people's energy to finally have them agree to pay portion of the service for a work the customer never benefited from. STAY AWAY FROM TERMINIX FOR BAD BUSINESS LIKE THIS TO GO OUT OF BUSINESS.

I requested to speak with the manager, Tim **, and to be provided a written statement of the response to my claim. No response from management in writing as requested and no follow-up with Mr. **. I have called and been online to request assistance for this latest termite episode at least 4 times. In the past I had fairly good but slow service. In 2014 I had termite swarms and damage in my living room wall of @30+ feet, plus damage and swarms in my master bathroom windows and shower. It was undeniable that there were termites flying all over my house. Although they initially tried to deny that what I saw around the between the marble and adhesive in the shower was termites. I had to capture the termites in a plastic back to show them the termites.

Finally, Terminix agreed and paid for repairs to all these areas. Now in 2020, less than 5 feet from where I had termites in the bathroom window and shower in 2014, I have termites behind my vanity wall and under the vanity. This was discovered by me as I now know what the residue and tracks look like. Initially, I was told that the wood powdery residue that I saw was not from termites. I had seen so much damage from pictures of my @30+ feet, damage about 20ft up the wall and the wooden windows in the living and bathroom, that I know the tracks (I have pictures).

Two visits by Terminix later, they admitted that it was termite damage that I saw on my vanity bottom BUT, despite my seeing new residue that I would have seen before, they said that the termites damage under my vanity and wall behind the vanity was old damage. The wall that is behind the vanity is now "paper thin from termite damage" according to the Terminix Tech.

After making more calls to get status after they took pictures, I was called by a tech who stated he was not the manager. He told me that the repairs are not covered under my contract, as it is because of my own lack of upkeep from a sink leak! I requested that status in writing and I also requested again to speak with Mr. **. I have both pest and termite service on my home in Southaven Mississippi and the previous owners had termite service that I continued. This house has been covered by Terminix since 1989 and by me since 2004. I also have Terminix termite service on a rental duplex in Tennessee.

Terminix is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Of course in the beginning to get your money they are nice, afterwards you are on your own if there is ever an issue. It has been 7-8 months later not even one call back. You call the 800 #. No one can help. They have to reach out to your "home branch", who is never available. They get an email out to them to call you back. You call back to state no call back and you go through this cycle every single time thereafter. After 5-6 months you tell them look in the history. This has been going on. You would like something different to be done then their representatives state, "ohhh well the last 20 reps you have talk to did it wrong. That’s why no call back." I only went through that cycle twice because honestly I’m over. Just done with the company.

The issue is after first visit then second tech came out stated will come back to get more done. They never show then other tech shows up and stated, "I don’t know what the techs before me did but it looks like nothing was done." Naturally as a customer you get upset and want you paid for. Well long story short I didn’t get what I paid for and no one within the company helped or is trying to help. Numerous calls made and no one helped or even returned my call. I wish I did a research before going with Terminix.

The only reason I gave them 1 star is because I had to chose something there should be an option for at least half of a star, they are the worst ever. I see I’m not the only one feeling this way after reading reviews now. I don’t have any hopes of anyone within Terminix having any common courtesy, decency, or any type of customer service to EVEN simply return a phone call. I am done with trying to deal with Terminix and will be calling the better business bureau on Terminix.

Unfortunately I say OK thinking I am having a one time treatment - DONE! Nope I get a bill for service three month later saying they came by our house and sprayed for spiders again. Such a joke as the day he would have been here it was raining significantly. If he did spray it would have been washed away in seconds. Who sprays for spiders in the winter anyway!!! Besides this, I had no intentions of signing up for a four time a year treatment. On top of all of this they never reached out to tell me they were coming the second time until they wanted payment.

If you want four times a year service go for it. However, know that they will probably come when you don't have an issue such as in the winter, so they don't miss out on their payment. Possibly train your door to door sales people to be upfront and honest about what a person is actually signing up for. So disappointed!! We have told them never to return to our property, but yes we still have to pay them. OUTRAGEOUS!!!! (We located live termites outside and contacted Terminix.) After signing up we were told to call if we notice any damages, as it could be covered under our warranty. This weekend we found damage and called immediately.

Our original salesman and a rep from quality control came for the inspection. Both of the technicians focused more on selling us other plans than the problem we contacted them for. They told us the damage we have is old & our home is old... If we had a new(er) home it would be different.. Also, the QC rep made several suggestions to prevent further issues/damage, which we were appreciative of. However, we feel like the day we signed up for the services, those preventative care measures should have been addressed but they were not. If we would have been told to take care of certain things in the beginning, we would have. We feel like we were mislead & have been taken advantage of. In my opinion, it was unprofessional & it felt as if they were attempting to use scare tactics to make us purchase more coverage.

I called to discuss the bill and found that indeed I had misunderstood the agreement. So I asked to cancel any further service because I think that's too much money to pay for a 20 min service. The company was willing to bill me $100 for the walk around to which I still feel is too much for less than 20 min.

I'm not trying to get anything for free and I offered to pay $49.00 and to simply cancel service. They refused, they cancelled my service, but are still billing me for $193.00. No serviceman who walks around spraying a generic chemical should make more money than my local physician. $200 for 10-20 min? That's inflated and unreasonable. Maybe I could understand if he was climbing underneath a home or in an attic. But simply to walk around my perimeter??? This is gouging.

Terminix from Plymouth Meeting PA. Do not use this company. They lie. Their "free inspection" for bed bugs involves looking in one room. We were afraid we had bed bugs because a friend of ours had them, and we go over their house a lot. The "salesperson" who came over to do the free inspection led me to believe that they were going to be using a freezing technique instead of using chemicals, but when the technician finally came he said he didn't have time to do freezing because it would take him all day, so he was using chemicals everywhere. On a quick side note, my two senior cats were both dead within a week after the treatments. Maybe it was a coincidence, but the timing is suspect.

Also, the person who sold us the job lead me to think that there were some indications of bedbugs, but I know now there was never any bedbugs in my house at all. We were sold a bill of goods. What really infuriates me, however, is the fact that she told me that, for a little bit more money, we would get a guarantee, be covered for one year, and get four additional general treatments.

When we got the first treatment, we got another bill to our credit card which we weren't expecting. It turns out that the additional money we paid did not cover the additional treatments. It was only a warranty for the bedbugs. However, you only get that warranty if you pay for the additional treatments. It's actually like having to pay for the warranty five times. It's a total rip off.

When I called to complain, they said that is what was in the contract. It's true. It was in the contract, but that is not what the sales associate told me. The contract is really long and it’s hard to imagine reading the whole thing while the sales associate is standing there. She knew that and lied to my face. It’s her job to sell. She did a good job of it, because she sure did sell me. I’d have a lot more respect for a company that says, "You don't need this, but keep us in mind for the future.“ Bye bye $1500.

Terminix was able to resolve this issue. While not happy with the experience, I have to thank Terminix for addressing the issue promptly and coming to a resolution.

    Original Review: Dec. 30, 2019

Terminix operates like a monthly magazine scam. They sent someone out to spray the outside of my home (and that's literally all they did) four times which is all I paid them for. Instead of contacting me to see if I wanted another spray, they sent someone anyway and sent me a bill later. I called and told them I did not have the disposable income anymore, did not want to continue my service and that I did not want the additional service they provided. The representative I spoke to said she understood and I did not owe them the payment. I then got robo call after robo call saying I owed them a payment.

I did not pay them and today received a letter from a collection agency. They refused to listen to the call of the original representative even though the call begins with "your call with be recorded" and insisted that the charge was valid. I never provided them my SSN nor did I give them consent to come onto my property after the fourth (and what should have been final) spray. Terminix is a scam that tries to suck one final payment out of you. Do yourself a favor and go to Home Depot and buy the $29.99 spray and do it yourself. It works exactly the same and you don't have to deal with these people and have them screw with your credit score due to their own stupidity.

Terminix had taken care of our termite problem. They had put in bait stations where all the termites had infested - and every visit they had checked at every bait station to see that they had gone. They do a wonderful job - and always on time - technician is always pleasant.

I asked Terminix to provide a quote for my older home. In fact I asked several companies to come and quote. When Jon B. got there he was very friendly and professional. He educated me all along the process. The house had low crawlspace but he put on his jumpsuit and with flashlight in hand crawled under there and made a complete inspection, taking pictures along the way. I felt like he done a great inspection. As a side note, one of the other companies came but the inspector was too big to do the inspection. Another company didn’t show up for their appointment. Jon inspected the interior and then sit down and drew out the house and added his photos. In the end I had a quote and even though the price was a little higher, I went with Terminix mainly due to the excellent service and employee. A year later I am still satisfied with them.

I was given an appointment Friday morning between 8:00 and 10:00 to inspect and do an exclusion for rats. I asked the lady if there was an additional charge for this service and she said, no, this was part of the service I was already paying for. I realize she was in a call center, but she does represent Terminix. She should give the customer accurate information. Well, no one called or came, so I called them again was rescheduled for Saturday afternoon. The guy inspected and gave us a price for the inclusion for $1000. Needless to say I was totally shocked, given the fact I was told it was included in my service. I am currently looking at other pest control companies.

Even though I have had termite protection contracts with Terminix for over 10 yrs. I had the worst experience this year - past years were less than satisfactory because I had to call back several times to get them to follow through on scheduling inspections for following through with what they said they were going to do. March 2019, Terminix inspected and said they were going to come out and treat then replace some damaged wood. After several calls they finally came back out December 2019 to treat the wood but to date- not follow up as promised on the wood replacement. Again, I have to spend time getting their team to respond as not 9 months later, what was promised still has not been completed. The experience has lead me to conclude I will no longer subscribe to Terminix termite protection.

I am not sure how many years I have had Terminix service, but I have always been pleased with the technicians who have provided my service. I say this because: (1) I receive notice in advance of the service, notifying me of the date they will be at my house and (2) any special instructions -- which gives me a chance to let them know how to access my backyard, and which plants are important not to disturb, etc. So, thanks, Terminix, for several years of wonderful service, and Happy New Year!

We had Terminix come and spray under our home 4 weeks ago. We were told it was safe as long as we were not in direct contact so we did not remove our pets from the house. One of our kitties started panting and drooling about an hour after the service people left, she started to behave erratically and her tongue was hanging out of her mouth. We had to contact poison control and take her to the emergency vet. She was poisoned by the fumes. She luckily recovered, but we accrued over 1200 dollars in vet bills and terminix kept giving us the run around and refuses to pay the vet bill or reimburse us in any way. We have had a hard time even talking to anyone and it feels like they dont care that they almost killed our baby. It would have been easy to keep them upstairs or take them away for a bit, but we were assured there was no danger. They should have warned us, or used a better cleaner.

"My friends family had a great experience with a Terminix, so I booked them because we had a rat infestation in our garage. They came out pretty quickly for the assessment. Then the guy came out and set up tons of traps, patched where they were getting in. I was very pleased because they were fast and professional, but that was the last time anyone ever came out. No one came to take care of the poor rats stuck in glue traps that were hopping around our garage, even though we called and begged them to come. No one came when the rats died.

Two months went by. 5+ appointments were missed. Finally we cleaned up the rats ourselves and asked for a full refund. We still have two glue traps and two other traps in our attic (empty thank God), and three snap traps I set off with a broom lying in our garage. We did get a refund, but it was ridiculous. For $1000 you’d expect a responsive company, but no one ever came. We called and called. It was terrible."
