    This is an update to my prior (positive) review, which was based on my ordering experience (and was good). Since receiving the shades, my experience has been extremely negative. We ordered 7 blinds and have issues with 5 of them, including physical damage to 2 shades, malfunctioning operation of 1 shade, and misrepresented description for 2 shades.

    Making matters worse, we have had a very negative experience communicating with SelectBlinds. After receiving the blinds, I sent an email to the sales rep, who had been so helpful in ordering the blinds. After not hearing from him, I reached him via phone. At best, he offered very little help in resolving the issues. And at worst, he was outright rude and insincere (e.g., suggesting that the mismatched shades we received based on his suggestion were in fact "the same" because the *colors* were the same, not the physical dimensions, and that the problem was our fault because he only provided a "suggestion", but we were the ones who decided to take his advice!).

    After moving on to the customer service team, we have experienced nothing but delays and a confusing game of "operator". It appears that SelectBlinds treats each issue as totally independent, and each issue has to go through a process of emailing customer service, who then has to email a different group with authority to make decisions about the order, who then contacts me via email, often with an incomplete or opaque answer for which I have to go back to customer service, who in then has to contact the decision-making group for clarification. (It's quite a sign when one in-house team doesn't know what the other in-house team is talking about!) Each of these steps takes 24-48 hours, which adds up to days to weeks to address each issue — in fact, after two weeks, we’ve only addressed one of the issues thus far!

    I have asked SelectBlinds if I could please have a single conversation about all the issues and have it directly with the group who has all the information and decision-making ability to get these issues resolved. I'm awaiting their reply... Unless my experience communicating with SelectBlinds changes dramatically (I'm hoping it will!), I would not recommend them in the future.

    My family has window blinds from SelectBlinds.com installed on almost every window in our home. All installations used the provided hanging hardware, and followed directions as indicated from SelectBlinds.com. All of the products were purchased approximately 4 years ago. On the evening of Monday, September 19, 2020, my husband and I were sitting in our family room when a loud explosive/bang startled us. A large metal spring, 9 inches long and 11/16 diameter, was ejected from the top of the window blind, broke through a plastic end cap on the product, and hit the window trim and opposite wall with great force. The malfunction resulted in plastic fragments strewn about the room, part of the window trim was shaved off from the metal spring scraping against it, and of course, a broken window covering that can no longer be raised.

    Upon examination, we surmised that the large metal spring was under tension when the plastic "hook" that was holding it in place cracked and released it. The potential for this malfunction, and the force at which the spring hit part of our window and wall is a major safety concern. We have two small children who play in this room often, and we have the same product installed in almost every room of our home.

    I contacted Select Blinds to notify them of the incident, and they replied that their Quality Control department would look into it and get back to me. A few days later they said they would send a replacement, but that it is backordered, and may be delayed further. I found this response to be severely lacking and untimely. Will this happen to all of my shades? I also have them in the children's bedrooms. These items should be recalled and refunded or replaced. I truly hope that there is a way to quickly notify all customers of the potential for this to occur, the safety risk, and the danger to children for a significant injury.

    When you exercise your shade it keeps the spring from possibly malfunctioning you can think of it kind like maintaining them if you have noticed you haven't lifted or lowered your shades for a few days this will help with maintaining well-opporated shades.

    I ordered roller shades from Select Blinds after having ordered more than $2k in the faux wood 2in cordless shade. The instructions for measuring external mount roller shades were not well articulated and the instructions contradicted themselves. After having watched the videos for measuring for an outside mount I took measurements and placed my order. Upon receipt the roller shades were about 1.25in short.

    Customer service refused to replace the shades highlighting part of their description of the shades, the description however contradicted the instructions for measuring and another section of the instructions were not clear. The video however was very specific, I should not be responsible for deducting on my measurements, this should be accounted for by the company as was done with the other $2k in shades we purchased. Despite us being a regular customer and my wife working for an interior designer the company choose to not replace the shades and update the descriptions, video, and instructions to more accurately reflect what needs to take place to ensure customers get the right product for their purchase.

    Received on time but 7 of 7 were damaged. Seems the machine or technician that cut fabric burned the ends... then folded it over while adding finishing touches. Called customer services and was told some people just have different quality standards. Created a damaged good claim and it has been a week without a response. Customer service also says damage claims are at the discretion of the company that actually makes them even though I supplied pictures an hour within receiving merchandise. Even asked for credit to purchase something else and still no reply. This is a scam and nothing else. Luckily I have purchase protection and filed a claim with my bank. Such a shame. Would not recommend.

    I purchased 5 blinds for 2 bedrooms. All of the blinds look and work great. However, after a couple of months, one of the bedroom blinds would not retract. I contacted Select Blinds, and after a bit of difficulty sending them a video of the defective blind, the sent me a replacement. The replacement fit and worked perfectly.

    The material is high quality. The color accurate. The prices very affordable. Even with the video it was hard to assemble on our own. Also since we got a very huge heavy blind for a sliding door, the basic pull string doesn't hold the weight of the fabric. I didn't know to inquire about the weight. The smaller windows are beautiful and hang appropriately and the strings are great. I would have broken into two side by side coverings to cover the large space and to have hang and fold properly.

    Purchased 10 blinds (light filtering cellular cordless and blackout cellular cordless) and 1 PREMIER LIGHT FILTERING VERTICAL CELLULARS for sliding glass door. Each was 1 to 1 1/2 inch too big. Spent $1300. Called to replace. Site says: doesn’t fit, simply call us at 888-257-1840 and we’ll remake that exact same product for you for free within 30 days of the date your order was delivered.* Always check the * fine print. They now say I can only replace 1 on each order for free. Well, if I had known how shady and not accredited this company was, I would of just ordered each separately. They want me to pay $603.96 for the replacement. Once I complained, price lowered to an extra $533.70. Waiting to hear back from a manager but I want all my replacements free of charge. Beyond ridiculous. Blinds are cute but no way this is costing them more than $20 to make each..

    SelectBlinds has horrible product quality - roller shades don't roll up and they call it normal, roller shades unwind crooked, shades come without all the parts. "Nothing we can do" is only answer when asked how to fix. Since they are a marketing company they are much more interested in getting you off the phone than fixing your problem. Since everything is custom made they say their policy is to not take any returns. Even for defective products!

    "Nothing we can do!" That's all you hear - they should just call it like it is - "We got your money, and we aren't giving it back, and we don't care if you are unhappy, because our marketing engine will produce more customers and we don't need our customers to be satisfied." I asked to escalate to a manager - the answer was amazing: "I'll put a request in for you to speak with a manager" - which they said would be in about a week! WOW WOW WOW. "We will be happy to help you but we won't talk to you and we won't solve your problem. By the way, did we mention we have your money and you are out of luck?"!!!

    I ordered three identical blackout shades in May of 2020. Despite their order timeline that estimates a couple weeks until they arrive (for fabrication and shipping), they didn't arrive for almost two months. When they got here, upon trying to install, I realized that they were slightly too large. This issue was on me - my window frames turned out to not be plumb from top to bottom, so they had to be remade. (All identically measured windows were all made 1/2" too wide). After emailing to get this issue corrected/replacements ordered and not getting prompt responses, I called and spoke to a representative in an attempt to expedite the correction. He stated it would be taken care of and he'd call me back with an update on arrival (since I was concerned it'd take another 2 months). I got no call back.

    I called today to get an update, and the representative said I'd need to pay for two of the three blinds because they "only offer free remakes for 1 blind", despite what their returns/exchange policy says "We also offer free remakes on "oops" orders where customers have made an error in measuring their windows" (explicitly states in the plural sense). Additionally, considering my windows were identical (only one measurement was given for all three windows), this wasn't three separate errors - it was just one. Additionally, they are attempting to charge me over $100 for each of the two blinds - which is more than I paid for my entire order of three!

    After sitting on hold to speak to a manager to (hopefully) get it straightened out, I was hung up on. There is still no resolution. I'm out a couple hundred dollars, have blinds that don't fit, and a company that won't honor their own returns/exchange policy and seems to instead have a policy of frustrating/exhausting their clients to the point of giving up, rather than "guaranteeing 100% satisfaction" - it's an utter lie.

    The blinds were not hard to install and Chandler provided excellent tech support to help with the install process (after I thought I may have made an irreparable mistake). Chandler's salary should be doubled! Blinds work fine.

    I wanted to buy two sets of window shades, top down, bottom up. Before I bought I called their representative to ask where the inside strings were set. Their website doesn't address this and their pictures purposely don't show this. I told her I wanted the two pairs of strings at the outsides as my current shades have them positioned 2-3 inches from each edge. I wanted to make sure they wouldn't each be 1/3 of the way into the shade. One shade is like 46 inches wide. She put me on hold and investigated this and assured me that the strings would be very close to the outside edges and nowhere near the center of the shade. I asked her to promise me that her information was factual. She assured me it was. So I ordered.

    I waited two months for the shades to come in only to find out she lied to me. And now a manager with customer service said I'm out of luck. They will not refund my over $200. This company is unethical and not customer-friendly. They cheat customers. They don't show them respect. If I could give a 0, I would. I'm writing the BBB next. Do not risk your money!!!!!

    I was a loyal customer but not anymore. I had an issue with two honeycomb shades. I contacted support and provided photos. I got an email a couple days later saying they will send me replacements. A week goes by and I got another email saying that it was a mistake and that the warranty replacement was denied. It clearly states that the warranty is three years and covers fabric issues which is what I had.

    "Covers tears or other defects in fabric, separation of fabric from slats or vanes, warping of slats and/or broken or cracked vertical vanes. Up to 3 years: Product remade at no charge." After back-and-forth they still will not honor the warranty. This is very disappointing as the prices are reasonable and I had no issues ordering from them. But I don’t have any more confidence with this company.

    DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM SELECT BLINDS CANADA! BUYER BEWARE! We recently received our first order from a company called SELECT BLINDS CANADA. We waited six weeks for it. We were excited to install it and after some difficulty we finally got it up properly. Unfortunately, it is a complete disappointment. The spring-loaded hardware that enables the blind to roll up or down was broken. So the blind has to be rolled up or down by hand which of course is unacceptable. It also has several stains on it. In addition to this, we thought we were ordering from a Canadian company. The blind arrived from San Diego California.

    We do not support American products particularly in light of the current tariff situation that is happening between the US and Canada. I called the company this morning to get the return address and request a refund. They completely refused to refund us. We are a couple of senior citizens on pensions and we cannot afford to lose over $400.00 on a piece of junk. We are extremely disappointed in our experience with Select Blinds Canada and we will never order anything from them again. We will be filing complaints against Select Blinds with Consumer Protection Ontario and the Better Business Bureau.

    Ordered blinds back in June, the very beginning of June. Never got them. When I order, they had an estimated ship date of the beginning of July, which wasn't a big deal as I already had blinds in the room, I was simply upgrading. A few weeks after I ordered, I received an email saying they were backorder due to COVID and would ship the end of July or sooner, and that they would keep me abreast of any further delays. Again, not a big deal.

    The estimated ship date came and went and I questioned when they would ship. I was promised they were going into production that day and would ship on August 4th. Well, August 4th came and they hadn't even begun to make them yet, so that was obviously not going to happen. So I inquired again. I was told that they wouldn't even know when they would be able to begin making them for 5-7 business days. At this point, I decided to cancel because I could get them from countless other companies in less time without being jerked around.

    The agent, Juan, then told me that I couldn't cancel because they were already in production, except he had just told me that they weren't in production yet. So he was obviously lying to prevent me from cancelling my order. When I called him out on his lie, he quickly was able to cancel my order. I understand delays, especially with today's events, and I'm not even in a rush to get them, but I cannot stand being lied to by a company. It speaks VOLUMES for their integrity and the integrity of their employees. It costs a company NOTHING to keep a customer in-the-know regarding the status of their order. Avoid this company, there are plenty of other places you can get custom blinds, for the same or better price.

    I placed an order for wood shutters for 10 windows in a new home on April 13, 2020. After mo the of back and forth phone calls inquiring where they were with multiple discrepancies in published dates, we finally received our shipment July 12, 2020 (yes, 3 months later, not the 30 days they publish). They sat on our hard-earned money for that long with inconsistent communication. We were so excited and then saw what condition they were in and our hearts sank. Of the 10, only 2 were useable. The others were damaged or made incorrectly.

    After two and a half weeks of every day phone calls, texts, chats and emails to try to get attention they have stated our order is in the front of the queue with no promised delivery date. According to the system front of the queue indicates shipment September 9 (yes another 2 months AFTER the damaged shutters we now have sitting all over our house waiting for parts). We cannot get attention and attempts to escalate have been unsuccessful. If you honestly want blinds, don’t shop here. While we are happy with the quality of those we received the frustration of them holding your money endlessly while they mess around is not worth the hassle.

    After spending $2,400 on lifestyle solar blinds that were actually measured for outside mounting instead of the inside mounting that I wanted thanks to their super confusing and contradictory measuring guidelines, I was sick to hear from their apathetic phone support team members that the return policy they advertise is actually only for ONE window on ONE order, which really didn't help my 17 window investment.

    Not wanting to eat $2,400, I then requested the hardware I would need to make the blinds outside mounts, and was told FOUR different times by four different people on four different phone calls that they would make the request and someone would get back to me. No one ever did, and I was disgusted and gave up. On the one window we were able to make the sizing work on, the shade has to be weighted down because it snaps back up on its own. Super poor quality product, awful measuring instructions and zero customer support or return policy. Stay away.

    Think twice before you ordered something from Select Blinds. HORRIBLE customer service, God forbid should you have any problem with your product or order. I ordered my skylight blind in February and received it two months later in late April. This was supposed to be a weeklong process. Then figured it was the wrong size. Even though they claim that they have F.I.T. Guarantee for returning a blind that does not fit. I called them 5 times, every time I spoke to someone they seem to want to help and asked me all kinds of questions then they told me they will get back to me, and every single time no one did.

    I finally emailed them, they asked me for photos of the blind and measurements, so I sent them that too. This time they said they will get back to me in 1-3 business days. Three weeks later still did not hear from them and had to contact them again. Below is the email. I normally do not write these reviews, simply because I have four children and just don’t have the time. But this is really frustrating, and I don’t want another busy mom or anyone wasting their hard-earned money on this bizarre company. And if you do order something from them, I hope that you don’t have any issues with it, otherwise consider your money gone to waste.

    I ordered a blind for my bathroom right as the pandemic started. I was told a few weeks. Months passed and I never heard anything from this company. It was a blind for my bathroom so it was important to get something so I ordered another blind from another company and it came right in. At the end of June.. suddenly a blind shows up and my charge card is charged???? Not only was it three months late but it was broken!

    I wrote them right away and spoke to them about how long ago I had ordered this and that it was broken.. I said, "If you send me a different size for my other bathroom (remember this one is broken) then we can just swap out but because they took so long I no longer needed this blind." The woman said, "No problem. I’ll refund." I said, "Great and once you refund I do another order for the other bathroom." A week later I get a note saying, "No we won’t refund." I explained that this is not acceptable and explained the whole situation again. Now one responded and I just received the plastic piece that was broken in the blinds and this is piece is all scratched up! I am SO FRUSTRATED. The company can care less. I wrote them again. I really won’t accept this. I paid a lot of money for this blind!

    We purchased aluminum miniblinds. The materials were of high quality. However, the individual slats were made with holes that were far to the edge of each slat instead of in the center. The result is that unless the blinds were down all the way, the slats stacked in a lopsided fashion in tilted the blinds and lower rail. Customer service phone personnel were pleasant - but had to no authority. Email responses from customer service at the factory were terrible. For several rounds they asked for more and more photos. At the end, they said this was "a feature" without explaining why the catalog did not show "this feature". A knowledgeable person with authority to resolve the situation never called. If they could fix this quality control issue and improve their customer service, these COULD be a good product.

    I absolutely should have listened to the other reviewers. To say the product is inferior is a gross understatement. I ordered 5 blinds in early May and have been assured they are on the way! I received two today that did not have any hardware, instructions, or packing slip. I called to alert them and to ask for the hardware to be sent. I was told 5-7 business days I asked to have them overnighted, she said she had to check with corporate. Really, they didn't confirm my order with me. I then asked for an update for the other 3 blinds and was told they should be shipped out the 17th. I told her that I have several emails from late May that say they are on the way. The one I received yesterday had a tracking number and had a date of July 10th. I asked to cancel and was told Corporate had to approve. Don't make the mistake I made of not listening to the others, save yourself some aggravation and shop elsewhere. Products are faulty at best.

    I was having trouble with my total bill, which would have put me over $1 what I had on my credit card. I called customer service *don't know her name* and she was excellent. At the end of the call she suggested I call and talk to a live person. I got Angel **. I can't believe how cool he was. He ended up helping me out so I could get my mini blinds. He was very thorough and patient with me, since I called up frustrated. He found my order I tried to place and came back to me a few times when I was on hold to update me, instead of just leaving me on hold for a long time. Excellent company!!!! During the pandemic, everything seems to be closed and/or it takes forever to find a live person to talk to. Not at this company!!! Angel deserves a raise.

    I have to say this is a rating of one agent in the company's Customer care department not the entire department. Stephanie worked with me for over 30 minutes to understand what was happening and then giving directions on how I might fix it. She was courteous, personable and genuinely nice during the call. Characteristics which are often lacking in Customer care today.

    She took time to send a very helpful video which really did help me understand the workings of the remote. Ultimately, I decided to close the call to give me a chance to view the video in its entirety and work with the remote. She was willing to stay on the call longer. I would prefer to speak with her next time I call because she was so patient with me. The call did not solve my problem but because of Stephanie's interactions with me and her representation of the company she works for, I'm less likely to fear a frustrating call the next go round.

    I purchased both roman shades and cellular shades from Select Blinds. 2 of the roman shades came damaged with pulls in the fabric. The cords got bunched when lifting the shades and they also did not hang nicely. When I contacted Select Blinds, they told me they would need to speak with their manufacturer and requested that I send pictures and video. They proceeded to tell me that while they knew the correct color was submitted, one of the pictures due to the flash going off showed the fabric a bit lighter so their manufacturer stated it was not the same product. I had to then wait while I was sent a swatch to take a picture next to the shades to prove that they were the same ones ordered. Select Blinds did issue a partial credit to my charge card during this time.

    When this was finally resolved, I was told I would be receiving additional funds back to my card and would have a store credit of about $115 applied to my account for further purchases. The manager told me that I would need to call in to have that credit applied. When I called in, I was informed that there was no credit. I inquired into this further and was told that the manager gave me misinformation and there would be no store credit. Between the hoop jumping and misinformation, I would never recommend using this company. We've used Blinds Galore and Blindster in the past without any issue. The only positive I will say is that our cellular blinds from them did arrive perfect.

    The product is of poor quality, the customer service is terrible and the warranty/guaranteed satisfaction is worthless. I was deceived and disappointed. The pulls on the shades could not be mounted. I attempted to resolve this issue and got the runaround. I tried to submit a review to their website and it was rejected.

    Received white instead of gray, and was then told I couldn’t be refunded because they’re custom... I “custom” ordered gray, not bright white! Customer service less than helpful... Save yourself the hassle and go elsewhere for blinds.

    Select Blinds is an awful company. I tried to reach out to them for guidance on an order, and after waiting for days, I basically got a non-answer to my questions. I then ordered blinds per the instructions on their website, and waited for 8 weeks for them to ship. When I get the blinds? They're too long because I allegedly clicked "outside mount" rather than "inside mount." The picture of the product shows an inside mount, and I'm confident that I selected inside mount. I reached out to customer service, and they replied basically saying "too bad." I had been using this order to test the concept in my daughter's room before outfitting the skylights throughout the rest of my house. I'll definitely be choosing a different company now.

    Dealing with this company has been a nightmare. Their "custom" blinds did not fit my window. I called them and after sending them pictures of the installed blinds twice, they told me that they were making new blinds. They told me I could donate the existing ones to Habitat or Goodwill. After a couple of weeks, I had not heard anything and called again. The rep could not believe that my order had gotten misplaced. He assured me that he was pushing it through. e said he would email me the next day.

    A week later I got an email telling me they decided that they would not make the blinds again as they feared the remake blinds would not fit. I sent an email to Select Blinds requesting my money back. They informed me they cannot give me my money back on blinds that are "custom". The Satisfaction Guarantee is worthless.

    After arguing with customer service for over 2 weeks, I have decided my only option was to take down these blinds and throw them away. Though the website and recording on the phone specifies 100% satisfaction guarantee, that is bogus. I ordered and received 2 inch faux wood blinds with the wave contour for adjustments. They were considered custom, and did fit the width of the window. With this mechanism there is no wand to tilt and it relies on the tension of the spring to control both the tilt and the lift. And they close with each raising or lowering. There is one size spring for all sizes of blind, so a narrow width window has the same amount of tension as a very large blind. That is the problem with this design. When you lower the blind to rest on the sill, it will rise, and continue to rise with each adjustment. One of my blinds seemed to like to stop about 5 inches above the sill, the other about 6 inches.

    The solution from customer service was to watch YouTube videos, as if my problem was operator error. I watched them and my blinds were not behaving as the blinds in the recording. Customer service required a video to see what my blinds were doing. I sent 3 on 3 different days as well as still photographs. In one video is shows the blinds clearly below the sill, only to rise on its own tension to well above the sill, more than the 1 inch the website recommends as normal. And then it closed again. This mechanism was not designed for my size windows. There is too much tension on the lift and no way to adjust it. Customer Service did offer to remake them, exactly as they were made the first time, but only after I had sent another video that specifically showed the blind rising on its own and stopping at 5 inches. When I asked why they needed another after I had already sent 3, they said they needed another that more specific.

    This product was defective and did not work as advertised. Be advised that this company will not take returns or issue credit even if the sold merchandise is defective. Again, after yelling at them, no screaming at them over the phone, the offer was made to have another style blind made, at a cost to me of over $100 more. Use caution is dealing with this company. My experience was only with the wave contour cordless, no tilt wand faux wood 2 inch blind. I do not recommend buying this blind.

    I ordered two blinds on May 5th and I’m currently still waiting on my order. I understand there were delays due to covid so I’m not here to talk about the long production time because I’m not quite sure how they regulate normally. I understand things happen especially during this hard time however I’ve received an email from them shortly after on the 8th that my order was in production which was false... it said, "Look forward to hearing from us once your order is shipped" so I was expecting to receive everything soon.

    After waiting for what felt like forever I went into my account to look up my order to find it wasn’t even in production yet. The expected ship date already changed three times since then. Fast forward to the 29th and the June 3rd I received two more of the SAME email literally copy and paste. Don’t send emails saying it’s in production if it is not! I’ve called customer service to directly speak to the production team and provide me proof that my order is in production. The first man I spoke with told me he would get in touch with them and email me back with proof. I never once received the email however he did provide me with good service and was very nice so it may have just been a communication issue with the team. It was when I called back the second time and spoke to a girl.

    Every time I tried to tell her what happened with my order she cut me off and talked over me. She clearly showed she doesn’t enjoy her job and could be doing other things with her time. She had told me she sent me the email with proof however yet again I haven’t received anything. This was my first purchase from them and I don’t recommend them for all that I’ve been through so far. These emails tell me I am getting my order sooner than I am and don’t like when a company lies. Please also invest in a more proficient customer service team.

    I ordered from SelectBlinds.com previously and had a good experience. Second time around, and not so good. Customer service has gone incredibly downhill. I placed my order on April 12th. Early May I contacted them to inquire since I had received no communications from them. They advised me the order was in production. A few days later, I get an email saying my item is on backorder and won't ship until June 15th at the earliest. I waited until early June to contact them again to see if the backordered item(s) were expected to arrive on time for me to receive my item around June 15th. At first the rep had no information, then when I inquired about cancelling, all of the sudden they suddenly knew info! Magic.

    I asked for a guaranteed arrival date since I had already been charged for the item nearly 2 months earlier. No guarantee. So I asked about cancelling and receiving a full refund. The rep said they would write the warehouse and let me know if it was possible. Warehouse confirmed via email that my order was cancelled with no other details provided. Next day I see a credit on my card for less than the original amount I paid. Can you believe they tried to keep the handling fee?! I had to waste more of my time to write them over the handling fee over an item they couldn't even fulfill!!! Unbelievable. I can't believe this company. I should send them a fee for holding my money for 2 months with no product to show for it!

    I ordered a bottom up/top down shade for my bathroom. The price was right so I went for it. I understood that with the COVID-19 crisis going on that it may take a bit longer and it did. I was willing to deal with that. When the item finally arrived the fit was perfect but the color was way off. I ordered "Sand". I did not order a color sample because I didn't want to add another month to my wait time but I figured it should be close enough so wasn't too worried. I WAS WRONG! While I understand that colors shown on websites can differ from when one sees them in person this wasn't even close. I could have dealt with that but the main problem was that the website clearly showed that the top and bottom rails were supposed to be the same color as the shade. They are not, they are white and do go with my bathroom AT ALL! Had the rails at least matched the shade color as advertised I would have been able to live with it.

    When I contacted the company on the phone the person I spoke with was quite polite and seemed helpful. I explained everything to him as I have here. When I mentioned the issue of the rail color being off he looked at the web page and said, "You're right!". I thought; great perhaps we can find a resolution to this relatively easily. The man told me he would escalate this to the proper department and we could fix this. That's where my optimistic hopes ended. I guess once there's no more personal interaction on the phone and they resort to the less personal email the willingness to work with you is over.

    From the very first email I could tell that they were trying to blame this all on me. I told them that I could live with the color but kept asking about the fact that the rails didn't match. They completely ignored the question. I was told that there are no refunds on custom orders. Considering that you are required to select the dimensions and colors for your product that makes every order a "Custom" order so I guess that's what you might call a loophole. They told me that if I wanted to place the exact same order they would give me 10% off. WHAT WOULD BE THE POINT OF THAT? Then I would have two shades that don't match my bathroom. When all is said and done what started out as hopefully thinking that there would be a pleasant resolution to SELECT BLINDS BASICALLY TELLING ME, "SORRY ABOUT YOUR LUCK!"

    I ordered a blind with a valance and received a blind without the valance. Contacted customer service immediately who requested I sent a photo of the blind which I did. Was given a new date of delivery for the correct product. Then a week or so later the blind did not arrive. I called their customer service who said they needed the order number that they already had and another photo of the number printed on the blind header. I sent this to them and they sent me another email saying wrong number but could not tell me where the other number was supposed to be. Called emailed and used online was told repeatedly that the order was through to manufacturing and would be shipped. Never arrived after contacted them over 20 times gave up. They obviously did not want to help because they literally do not care once they have your dollars.

    I purchased blinds that showed up too small. I reached out to them and told them they were too small and they sent me the same size. Since I was unable to immediately hang the new blinds I didn't know for a few weeks that they were still too small. When I reached out to customer service they told me that they were unable to replace them because it was outside the guarantee fit window. I'm not sure why they sent me the same size after I asked for larger blinds but they did and then never fixed the issue. The only option they gave me was to buy brand new blinds.

    Original Review: Ordered a blind for our door. After reading positive reviews I decided to go with Select Blinds. Ordering was easy and very informative as to what I was ordering and they seem to go the extra mile in making sure you are ordering what you actually need. Then it all went downhill. The blinds came and were flawed as they were improperly strung. It has been over Two weeks now and I am still waiting on someone from the company to get back to me. I sent photos as requested and since then nothing. Very frustrating as the blinds seem to be good quality if manufactured correctly.

    We ordered blinds on April 10, 2020, delivery date was supposed to be around April 25, 2020. We never received any e-mail that delivery would be delayed but when we checked their site to track our order it stated it got delayed to May 10, 2020. When we checked today it got delayed to May 31, 2020. When we called today to cancel and demand a refund the "lady" on the phone refused to refund. She claimed it would depend if production had commenced, however, she stated she could not verify whether it has. We have deadlines to meet and can not work with companies who understand the value of time and honest communications.

    Ordered 3 blinds all the same size. What I received was 3 blinds the wrong size, cut to short, and missing hardware. After numerous emails and phone calls (4 months worth) sending pictures per there request, I received no new blinds. Just the run around telling me they would take care of it. They did not!!! Terrible customer service. Do not buy from them.

    Buyers Beware. This company is awful and does not stand behind their product. 1st time ordering custom blinds. Considering the cost I read reviews and studied the site for all details. This purchase was an investment. Followed site instructions -site indicates outside mount blocks more light and than inside mount. This is not true. Blinds sit 1.5” out from the window. The mounting brackets stick out 3”s from the wall and the handles are cheap white plastic.

    Emailed back and forth w/ customer service. Sent pictures inc a screenshot of the information on site re outside mount for better light control. Called and spoke to Ashley on 4/30/20 who consulted with supervisor Brett. Brett offered me 15% off if I wanted to purchase new blinds. He refused to remake the ones previously purchased as an inside mount. I asked to speak to someone above him and was told there was no one else above him. So disappointed.

    I purchased the Premium Light Filtering/Blackout Cordless shades from this company. I LOVE this product. These blinds have two settings- one act as blackout blinds, the other setting allows light to diffuse through. We have them in the baby's room, and loved them so much we purchased more for our bedroom. The best part of these blinds are two fold- first, the mechanism to pull them up, down, and then transition between blackout and translucent is very easy to use and feels firm/quality. Second, the blinds themselves look much nicer than the standard, regular blinds. Also, as a bonus, there are no pesky cords hanging down (making it safe for the baby, and also our dogs).

    What a nice product, well worth it. The blackout setting is truly blackout- the room gets really dark. You do need to realize those that if you get the interior blinds version of this, there will be some light that gets through at the very edge of the window. If you want 0 light through then get the exterior version of these that sit on the outside of the window. The advantage though of the interior version is that I think it looks nicer. Also, we noted this product was 1/2 the price as the competitor we originally looked at. Nice bonus there.

    We ordered our blinds on 4/12/20 with an indicated ship date of 5-7 business days. The order did not arrive as scheduled. Called the automated system and found that the delivery date had been changed to 4/23. At no point was the delay communicated in any way. Called again this morning and the automated system indicated the ship date was STILL scheduled for 4/23, however, logging into the account, the ship date had again been moved out to 5/12/2020. Again, there was no communication indicating that our order would be delayed.

    I understand that businesses are experiencing unforeseen problems with fulfillment given the current health crisis, but we are living in a home with no blinds. After the first delay, we chalked it up to these complications. After the order did not ship a second time with no communication (and shoddy information via their automated system), it was still worth it to give customer service a call. I told the agent that we would still accept our order if they could assure it would ship this week. They would not even assure the order would ship by 5/12. Delays at this point, even significant ones, are understandable. Not communicating with customers who have paid for their order and are expecting product delivery is not. We cancelled our order and will be ordering from a competitor. I would encourage others to do the same.

    This is by far the worst company I've come across for window roller shades. To start, their directions for measuring will result in shades that are too small. They tell you to size down, yet also state inside mounts will also be deducted in width. Next, the overall quality of the craftsmanship and fabrics are cheap! You get what you pay for. The first set of rollers had to be replaced due to uneven cuts. Which I had to fight their customer service on as they were quick to blame me for the issue and tried to make me pay more out of pocket to have new ones ordered. The replacement received began fraying within hours of installing. $600 in the trash!

    I bought two blinds for my bedroom last August and was very pleased when I received them quickly. They were exactly what I wanted and were very easy to install. Unfortunately, after about 6 months, the lifting mechanism on one stopped working. I contacted them about it and heard back almost immediately. They required that I send a video clip of it not working, which I happily did. I had a replacement blind, at no cost, in very short order. You can't get better customer service than that.

    I ordered 5 Roller Shades for Outside Mount from Select Blinds, all for the same room. I received them with 2 problems: 1) There was about a 1 inch deduction on all the fabric measurements, despite the fact that the website clearly indicates that deductions will happen for Inside Mounts, not Outside. However, I did not complain about this, because I could still make them work for my space. 2) 3 of the Roller Shades came with a nice Outside Mount hardware, and 2 of them came with a different type of hardware.

    When I complained about this, I was told that this was standard procedure: that the hardware depended on the size of the roller shade. Of course, none of this is stated on their website. I tried to explain my problem, that my room would look uneven with different types of mounting hardware, but they offered no solution. I even suggested that I could keep one of the different rollers, because, although it was in the same room, at least in was in a different wall. But, I said, there is one roller shade that will look awful because it will be mounted beside the others, and it has a different type of hardware. The last answer I received said they would contact me, but nothing has happened so far, and I am tired of waiting for them to service their customer. I have communicated many times with them via chat, email, and phone. It did not work. I recommend NOT working with this company, because they will not help you if you have a problem.

    This is regarding order **. I ordered 4 blinds from this company in early February and received them within a week. 1. Unfortunately the mechanism was not working on 3 of the blinds. I contacted the company and was given directions that did not address the problem, although I sent pictures as well. The installer I engaged immediately detected that they had forgotten to turn on the mechanism on the side that would allow the cords to work. One problem solved.

    2. In addition, I asked to please send 2 brackets to support the 59” width blinds because they are too heavy. I am still waiting. I offered to assume the cost of the brackets as well as the shipping. The customer service declined. I have called the company multiple times, we have exchanged emails, but they seem unable to figure out whether the 2 brackets have been shipped or not. In the meantime, the blinds I paid over $700 are sitting on the floor. Maybe when they see this complaint they will respond. I am so very disappointed at their service and shall not be recommending them to anyone. My hope is that.

    I purchased 2 blinds, cordless roman shades, 3 maybe 4 years ago. Had company coming and was cleaning the window a couple weeks ago and noticed blinds separating. The worse blind that separated faces a house next door so not much sun exposure, it has huge gaping holes. The other window faces west where sun is more intense. That blind is just beginning to separate. They look very nice and I love the ease of no cord. I can give 2 stars for nice looking and if I remember the fast delivery was great. Sorry I can't order these blinds again. The quality of the material is poor.

    Ordered colour/style samples so we could choose the correct blind for our room. Samples arrived and we picked a colour however when we tried to order, the product matching the sample was unavailable. They sent a sample of a product they could not supply. Absolutely a waste of time.

    Ordered a blind from these guys. (Order **) Received the blinds and the end caps don't sit flush on the unit. I call them and they offer to send new end caps. I mention that the end caps won't sit flush even if they send a new batch as the internal structure won't let it happen. I also mention that the color of the plastic parts is different than the rest of the unit and that I want to return the unit for bad quality. They mention that that is not possible. I tell them that I will then do a charge back and at that point they tell me that if I'm doing that that they won't help me at all (Like a threat). So their only solution is to send new endcaps that won't sit flush or suck it up. Therefore I went the chargeback route. What gets me is the attitude of customer service.

    My top/down, bottom up shades had strings that broke several times over the 3 year warranty period. Select Blinds stood by their warranty and remade the blinds each time. This time, they even offered to upgrade the strings to continuous loop in an effort to fix the continuing problem. Select Blinds went above and beyond their warranty! Great customer service!

    The Initial product was fine. It isn't the fanciest product in the world, but it was cheap and it did the job that it was supposed to do. I bought 5 sets of blinds. 4 of them are fine to this day, but the fifth (which is in the exact same room as 3 of the other sets) developed awful yellow staining about 10 months in that could not be washed away no matter how hard we tried. I was relieved to remember that we had a warranty, so I sent an email to the warranty department asking them to replace the one defective blind. They gave me every line about how the damage was actually caused by me, from saying I was probably a smoke (Big no there), to telling me it was likely chemicals that I had in my house (nope), to even telling me that it was because I hung the blinds in the bathroom (I hung them on the shower curtain rod to take pictures of the staining in better light after cleaning them with water, so they made this snap judgement on their own).

    I explained time and time again that only 1 set was experiencing the staining and that the other undamaged sets were in the same conditions. They swore that this damage couldn't possibly be due to UV damage, but the only side of the slats that were damaged were those facing outside, as we never open these blinds. I emailed back and forth probably a total of 15 times - They approved my remake claim, then they denied it again - then they told me they would do it "at-cost", which ended up being more than I paid for it in the original order. In the end, you better hope you don't receive a defective product like I did, because there is zero chance that they will honor your warranty.

    We ordered 6 Roman Blackout Shades from Select blinds. When we received them, we loved them. They looked great. Four months later we began to experience a chemical burning smell in our home. On many days it was unbearable. Thinking it was electrical, we went through every outlet, switch, and fan and could not find anything. We even had an electrician and an HVAC person in. The smell would be worse at times than others. This went on for months, we were pulling out our hair trying to figure out the cause. Finally, we shut off every circuit breaker to the upstairs rooms and the smell was still there. We decided to open up the windows to air out the rooms, and that's when we figured it out. When I got close to the shade, the chemical smell was awful. I went from room to room and they all smelled the same.

    We live in the south and the sun is very strong, hence wanting blackout shades. We strongly believe that the chemicals used to make the shades are breaking down from all of the direct sunlight/heat. We took the shades down and the smell completely went away. The blinds are now down on my dining room table, and yes the smell came down with them. Needless to say, Select Blinds says they will not cover it because we did not report the smell within 90 days. So now we are out 6 blinds, which were not cheap. We can't continue to put our family at risk, nor continue dealing with the smell from these chemicals. I strongly recommend not buying blackout roman shades from Select Blinds unless you live in a shady area. We had great service from Select Blinds in the past, however, after this, I would no longer recommend buying from them.

    I ordered 7 sets of blinds from them. Most worked fine but they sent me defective pieces for one. After weeks of multiple exchanges with customer service where I was offered a replacement but then there was never any follow through, the last person I talked to said I received defective pieces that should never have been included with my order in the first place and I would have to purchase a whole replacement. Nowhere on the product description does it state that these pieces were not included. I attempted multiple times to leave a review on the product I purchased on selectblinds.com to warn others that the product description was misleading but when I would hit submit, it would disappear without posting. Interestingly enough ALL the reviews for that product were 5 stars...they're either posting fake 5 star reviews or at least weeding out any reviews that are less than 5 stars.

    I have never called, emailed or been so frustrated more than I have at this company. I paid almost 300 for 2 blinds that I could of got better at Walmart for 1/2 that if they had my size. I ordered almost 3 months ago, the blind has been up approx 6 weeks or more. Still I am calling numerously about the valance issues. How can production make a so called custom blind and and include a valance that is...

    1. Cut in the middle and expect you to put it together with the cut showing right upfront. Very cheap for custom order blinds.
    2. Not give clips to attach the valance.
    3. Cut the side valances at 5 in deep when the blind and front valance is only 3 in deep.
    4. Not give anything to attach the sides of valance to the front of the valance.
    5. Customer service try to help but seem pretty clueless on the process so I've tried to explain this to probably every CSR at the company till in blue in the face AND with pictures attached to email more than once.

    6. They've asked me for pics, to take measurements on and on.

    I PAID FOR CUSTOM MADE BLINDS SO I WOULDN'T HAVE TO DO ANYTHING BUT PAY AND HANG THEM. They can't accomplish sending out the parts required for me to do so. So far 3 different parts orders have came to me. TWO are not working, surprisingly one worked. I'm am beyond disappointed with these blinds. NEVER AGAIN!!

    The blind that I received had a stripped mechanism for the slats opening and closing. Also the cords holding the slats to the framework on the right side were not attached to the adjusting wheel inside the framework. I sent a video which Donna ** reviewed and immediately issued a replacement blind for me. Donna was kind, apologetic, and extremely helpful. Give her accolades for me because SHE REPRESENTS Select Blinds in dealing with my issues and customer issues in general. She does an excellent job of it. I will continue to purchase my blinds from you folks.

    We needed eight sets of blinds in varying sizes for our new home. We decided to first only order a matching pair of 2” Select American Hardwood Blinds in black since we were unfamiliar with this company but were tempted by their FIT guarantee and promise of a refund or exchange (remake) if a product is defective. We were very happy with both the ease of ordering our blinds as well as the speed of delivery with this first set of blinds. Both were quick and easy, and the blinds were beautiful. One minor hiccup was that they sent brown valences instead of matching black valences, but with one quick phone call and one email from us with a few photos verifying the mistakes, we received a reply email stating that our new black valances were on their way. This took all of about ten minutes to rectify, and we loved how the company took responsibility, so decided to order the new six sets immediately.

    Once again the ordering and shipping were lightning fast. Unfortunately once again Select Blinds sent brown valences instead of the black ones. We weren't even upset to be honest. If anything, it was laughable. They issued us replacements so quickly the first time, we were not worried that the same would hold true this time. We were wrong. We weren't even concerned that three of the six blinds arrived damaged. We were confident after the awesome display of customer satisfaction they showed us after the first delivery, they would certainly take care of us after this. After all who needs six brown valences when they actually ordered and received black blinds? Who wants to hold onto two sets of 46" blinds that are so horribly bent that they are unable to be mounted?

    And who in their right mind would be happy receiving a 93" faux wood blind with chunks of wood chipped on some of their slats? Apparently us. Because I have been emailing and calling like crazy and let me tell you, this is NOTHING like our initial experience with Select Blinds. All of the customer service reps who I have spoken with have been nothing but nice and understanding, but in the end, they are simply order takers and complaint filers. They can do nothing for you but pass on a message. The true power lies in the production facility, and only they can decide to replace your product whether the damage or mistake is obvious or not. This is ridiculous and unacceptable.

    I do not belong to the school of thought that the customer is always right. Some times mistakes are made and the customer should just say, "my bad", and move along. But when the company itself sends you both incorrect and faulty products, they should immediately correct it. I don't appreciate waiting days on end for someone in a warehouse to decide whether I get to have my proper items sent to me in undamaged condition.

    My overall experience with Select Blinds was good until I tried to pay. I clicked to pay with PayPal. When PayPal returned me to the Select Blinds site, the vendor had added a $5.99 charge. I bailed and bought the blinds for the same price at another site. That site also charged a "service fee," but they put it upfront rather than sneak it in at the end (also it was $1 less).

    I ordered blinds a couple of weeks ago. Maximum delivery time elapsed yesterday. Clicked tracking on Website. Showed ordered, not in production yet, not delivered yet. Even though we received an eMail more than a week ago saying was in production! So called 800 number. She looked up my order number. Said to me, she will hear back from "THEM' within 24 hrs and let me know! So they are so disconnected she calls production. THEM which is obviously a different company in China. They do not update tracking on website. Wait 24 hours to hear from them after package overdue. Messed up! Bad Business!

    I have ordered blinds several tiimes in the past and have always been pleased with the company and the quality of their blinds. On my last order I measured wrong on 2 of the blinds. I called the company and immediately spoke with someone. I explained what I had done and within a few minutes he took care of the issue and said they would mail out new blinds with proper measure at no cost except for small shipping fee.     Select Blinds provides a huge variety of shades and blinds for a fraction of the cost that large home improvement chains charge. If you are willing and competent to measure your own windows and are comfortable installing the treatments yourself, you can quite literally take a vacation with the money you would save outfitting your home with Select Blinds over brick and mortar name brand options.

    I have outfitted over 24 windows in a wide variety of odd sizes with everything from top down bottom up accordion blinds to bohemian wood shades, and while I can not truthfully say that every one has arrived in the perfect size or color, Select Blinds has quickly and fairly resolved it...the same types of issues that inevitably occur with most any made to order product. And it is much easier to swallow any hiccup when you are paying a hundred dollars versus 400$. Just be patient and realize you are saving a lot of money, and before you know it, your windows will look great.

    I am constantly complimented by guests on our blinds and wooden shades. Select Blinds has a very wide variety of colors and materials and will send many free samples so you can be sure that what you order is the best option and material for your decor and aesthetic. ORDER THE SAMPLES!!! Take the step. They arrive in just a couple of days.

    They also keep great notes and you have a consistently friendly representative who you can reach via email or phone so there is accountability there too!     Mini 1” blinds were ordered from Select Blinds recently. When blinds arrived the bottom rail was missing the holes for the hold down brackets. This set of blinds were ordered for a glass pool bath door. Bottom hold down brackets are essential. So.... mistakes do happen, no big deal right? When I called customer service the person on the other end attempted to be professional, however fell a bit short. That’s ok too as long as the problem is fixed.

    Long story short, their solution was to make their mistake my problem. The remedy was for me to fix the blind myself with parts they would send me. So let me understand, my money spent just fine but their wrong shade was to be fixed by not them but by me! Wow, now that’s customer service. By the way, the blind is snow white and the parts they sent are gray and don’t have holes. LOL! Needless to say, I won’t be purchasing any more products from Select Blinds.

    I ordered a 96in blind. I received a 96 in blind. I also received the valance in two 48in pieces. The disconnect in the middle is clearly visible. Their explanation, the 96in valance to match the 96in blind would cost an additional $85.00 to ship!!!! The website clearly states the valance is included FREE and nowhere does it state the finished product would only come in 48in pieces for the customer to splice together and be unhappy because it looks CHEAP! VERY DISSATISFIED!

    I ordered 9 shades on 11/29/2019. The shades I received were too wide and could not fit into window frames with brackets. I have been back and forth with Customer Service repeatedly by email, online chat and phone but problem is not solved yet. I cannot tell you how difficult it is to deal with their customer service team.

    I had to send many pictures and videos for proof. They agreed to remake but I still had to contact customer service too many times to find out about update of their remaking. Finally, shades that were remade and delivered but they still have the same problem and are the same size as the previous shades. This is too frustrating.

    I didn't want a remake anymore. This is creating too much stress for me and I asked to get full refund. Then customer care agent said they will only remake defective products and will not do a full refund. However, their website states, “we cannot offer a refund or exchange (remake) unless a product is defective” and “if you have any questions about returning a product” on the return policy page. If a refund is not available, then why have the word “Refund” in the policy under their Returns and Exchanges.

    They asked me to send defective products back to them after I had back and forth with Customer Service again. 01/07/2020 The box was ready to send back to them but before I send it to them, I clearly told them that I am not interesting in ordering a different product and I would like a refund. Next day, they said they are still seeking some information from their facility before they push forward with this. "Please allow 24 to 48 for us to receive a response from our facility." 01/16/2020 SelectBlinds ordered Fedex to pick a box up from my place. I asked them when I can expect my refund after Fedex came. SelectBlinds emailed me that “It takes about 2-3 weeks for this process to be completed. So in about 3 weeks.” I tracked Fedex and the box was delivered to them on 01/21/2020.

    Therefore, I was expecting that this terrible experience with SelectBlinds will almost end and I can get refund in 3 weeks. BUT I got an email from them today (1/26) that said “The facility has reached out and has received and inspected the shades. The shades are measuring correctly. No credit will be issued. Please advise as to what you would like for us to do with the shades. We do apologize for any inconvenience that this has caused.”!!!!

    I am extremely disappointed in Select Blinds and how they handle a customer complaint. Instead of acknowledging the issue, they chose to cite policy without understanding the problem. It all started when we needed blinds for a room that included a French door with glass facing outside. The windows were no problem however getting a proper set of blinds for the door required advise. We spent a lot of time discussing the application with their sales consultant and were assured they sell blinds for this application all the time and that it would be the right choice. When the blinds arrived it was obvious that it wasn't a good solution at all and in fact would look horrible. We brought this to Select Blinds attention and were told no returns. I asked for a manager and was told I would hear within 48 hours.

    After over 48 hours I called and was told no returns and that the only solution was to order something different. That is a non-solution as they don't have blinds to meet the need. I asked again for a manager to call but instead got an email saying no returns. I called the manager who wrote the email and was told he would call me back. That was over 5 hours ago. I don't expect any call back. They are attempting to wear me down so I have to eat the cost of the bad advise their agent gave me. I am very frustrated with Select Blinds and strong suggest that anyone looking at doing business with them run the other way. They don't stand behind their product and their guarantee is worthless. Once they charge your credit card you are screwed and have to take what they sent you no matter if they ill advised you.

    Wanted to buy plantation shutters for one of our bedrooms. We measured EXACTLY as instructed on the web site and placed order. The instructions online said "Measure exact width to the outside edge of the molding in three places (top, middle, bottom). Take the largest of the three measurements." When the shutters came in they did not fit, when we inquired we were told by Christina ** that per the warehouse "The trim frame is to be installed inside the window and that the measurements that are needed are the INSIDE window measurements." Despite this being their mistake, they refused to stand by their product and ship is the right shutters. I will NEVER again spend a time here. Save yourself the hassle and find another provider. We ended up using Blinds To Go and they were great to deal with.

    Updated 01/29/2020: I was so happy when I called customer service on 1/21/2020. I requested brackets for woven woods. I gave my credit card # and received a confirmation and order number. To date ..7 days later, I have heard nothing. I just went on live chat with someone named Juan. I explained I was trying to find out what happened to my brackets, tracking shows nothing has been done. I cannot place my order for 6 window coverings until I receive them. I was left on live chat for 18 minutes after being told the order was being checked on. I am very disappointed. I have 25 windows in all to cover.

    Original Review: I called customer service to see if I could order a couple woven wood brackets. My windows are older and I want to be sure I can do an inside mount. I have 6 large windows in that particular room and I do not want to make a mistake. I spoke with Tatiana, explained the situation and what I wanted to do. She was fantastic. So very helpful asking questions and answering mine. I was able to purchase the brackets and am now waiting for them to arrive. After this room is done, I have 19 more windows treatments to replace. I will not hesitate to contact Select Blinds again.

    I ordered multiple solar shades for two properties. They are as described and look great. There were manufacturing problems with a couple of them, but Select Blinds was great in helping find solutions and fixing the problems. I would caution you to read carefully the measuring instructions. On the interior mount solar shades, they do deduct from the measurements you provide. So I ended up with a shade that didn't fully cover my glass and had to re-order an "oops". My only criticism would be that the roller chain used to raise and lower the shade is made of plastic beads. It looks rather cheap, and is a yellowish-white - they do not match the end caps or chains to the fabric you choose (some higher end shade companies use metal chains and will match colors). But for the price, the Select Blind products are sufficient.

    I came to Select Blinds because I need to get window coverings for a whole house, with different rooms needing different treatments. A process that can be overwhelming and would have been if it weren't for 1-the very helpful videos explaining how to measure, 2-the free samples so that you can see just what you'll be getting, and 3-the kind, thorough service provided by the rep I was lucky enough to get, Chandler.

    When I had questions about how a certain product would work in my space, he had me email him photos and we discussed it on the spot. He made great recommendations and clearly knows his inventory very well. So unlike many situations where you get a call center employee who, while meaning well, doesn't have any idea about the products themselves. He spent an enormous amount of time with me on a couple of different occasions as I walked around the house asking him questions. He never hurried me or appeared impatient. (If he was, he really covered it well! LOL.) I'll receive the rest of my order in a couple of weeks and I can hardly wait. I know if I have any questions or concerns the folks at Select Blinds will treat me well.

    I custom ordered three sets of vinyl roller blinds. My plan to to order fabric rollers, but they didn't come in black like the vinyl do. We ended up ordering the vinyl. After hanging them up, I believe they are more suitable for a commercial/public area. Not so much our sunroom. The quality isn't bad though. Just wish that the fabric rollers had a "black" option. It also took a few times of having them up and down for the blind to hang straight.

    Last year, I installed Select Blinds in my first and second floor and have been simply delighted with them. This year, I redid my third floor guest room and ordered 5 more blinds, one of which is located over a staircase so I ordered the remote control blind. BIG MISTAKE! My installer easily installed the first four and installed the hardware for the 5th, but we couldn't get the remote to work and there were no instructions included in the box. I called the next day and talked to customer care. They told me it's a bit of a big deal to get the remote paired with the blind and sent me directions. When I suggested the instructions should perhaps have come with the blind, the customer service rep said, "We get that suggestion a lot." Really? I rescheduled my installer. After an hour of trying to follow the directions, we again called the customer service line and waited for 25 minutes "due to the unusually high number of awesome sales." Really?

    The young woman who answered was delightful, and after working with her for 15 minutes, we still hadn't solved the problem. She then put us on hold for another 15 minutes while she conferred with her colleagues. Finally, she came back and asked if we had directions for linking the blind to the remote -- which appears to be separate from the instructions for pairing the remote to a particular blind. Really? She walked us through the process and lo and behold we were able to link and pair the blind to the remote (or at least our installer was). We thanked her for her help, I paid my installer for two more hours of work at $50 an hour and now I have a blind that actually works via remote.

    So, in conclusion, you have a great product, lovely employees and the worst installation directions imaginable. This could have been a very easy process, easily documented and included with your product. Instead, it was annoying, costly and frustrating. Will I buy from Select Blinds again. probably -- but nothing remote or anything that requires more than a simple installation.

    I recently called into Select Blinds to get a warranty issues taken care of. After getting some mixed responses about whether the issue was covered under the warranty (faulty bracket that held blinds) I called into customer service and spoke with Tatiana. She looked into the past conversations & photos that I sent in and also believed the faulty bracket & subsequent damage to my blinds should be covered under the warranty.     Updated on 01/17/2020: This is my second review of this company. After several emails and phone calls, Select Blinds has admitted they sent me the wrong blind but still won't return my money. They offered me 25% off another blind purchase. Great - let me spend more money to get another incorrect order sent to my home. SB said I needed to select the correct style when I ordered and I didn't and that's what the picture on my order confirmation didn't match. My response to them: "So with all that being said, you're admitting that your description and picture do not match what I ordered. And let me reiterate that the blind I received DOES NOT have ANY FOLDS AT ALL. Your website is clearly wrong and deceiving but yet you're not taking responsibility for it."

    "If you wanted what was shown in the description and picture of your order, you would have had to select a different blind...." Do you understand how ridiculous that sounds??? It's a bait and switch. Show the consumer something different than what they ordered, and then when it arrives at their house, tell them, "We don't do refunds." Perfect. I don't understand how you're still in business. I imagine it's because people don't fight it like they should. Do not order from this company. Their website is not correct. And guess what. When I went back to their website and selected the options they told me to select, the image didn't change. And they're not taking responsibility for that either.

    Original Review: I ordered an essential roman shade in December 2019. I measured correctly so the size was correct and the color was correct. The roman shade on Select Blinds website showed and described a FLAT FOLD "PILLOWED" STYLE ROMAN SHADE. Which is exactly what I wanted. What I received was a flat panel of fabric with none of the characteristics I just mentioned. It literally looks like I just tacked a flat panel of fabric to my wall. Looks ridiculous.

    I have contacted customer service and was informed of their return policy on custom blinds. I was already aware of the policy. I told them this order was incorrect due to no fault of mine. They sent me the wrong blind style - plain and simple. I was still told that they do not offer refunds on custom blinds, and that I could order ANOTHER ONE at a 10% discount. Well... what a great deal!!! I am furious, and I refuse to pay for something I did not order. If I have to dispute this charge with my bank, I will do that. And I will never order from this company again. Their return policy is unethical and a rip off.

    Email sent. “Is there a way that I can thank Tanner and inform his supervisor or manager about his exceptional customer service? Our blinds arrived the next day, just in time for our first open house to sell our house! We are so thankful and they make the biggest difference in our kitchen. I always thought I would be loyal to 3 Day blinds, but I will order all my blinds for my new house from Select Blinds. Tanner's help might be one of the reasons we sell our house sooner.”

    24 hours after sending this email we had multiple offers on our house. The blinds cover an entire wall in our kitchen that is a huge window that looks out at a fence. The big clean white blinds open up our tiny kitchen and brought in light. They make a big difference. The old blinds might have been a big eyesore. Thanks to Tanner, we got our blinds the day before we put our house on the market and multiple made offers to buy it the next day.     Updated on 02/14/2020: This is the final entry on my experience with Select Blinds. After I sent them 2 rounds of photos they asked that I send the shades back, which I did. They then took their own photos and sent them to me saying the shades were "within specification" and suggested I get a new tape measure, even though their own photos clearly showed the shades were not close to 34-1/4" as they were supposed to be. They also stated they would not be issuing a refund. Fortunately PayPal disagreed with them and refunded all of my money. I've since ordered new shades from Blindster.com using the exact same measurements, and they fit perfectly. Select Blinds could not have been worse to deal with.

    Updated on 01/24/2020: This is an update on my previous review of Select Blinds regarding 2 sets of shades that didn't have the needed 1/4" reduction. I finally got them to agree they were wrong, and they sent two new blinds. Well, those were identical to the first 2, and would not fit my windows. I sent a new round of photos of all 4 blinds to Mark **, who was very nice and helpful. Today (Jan 24) I received an email with a FedEx label to ship them all back, and boxed them back up and dropped them off at FedEx. Bottom line is I still don't have blinds, and have wasted several hours of my time on this. Also they haven't refunded my money although an agent left a voice mail saying they were going to. I would have liked to be able to change my rating, but am afraid I can't.

    Original review: December 20, 2019 I ordered 2 sets of cordless, top down-bottom up shades from SB. I had ordered 9 shades from them previously in 4 different orders with no problems. All of the previous orders and this one were for windows that measure 34 1/2" wide for the inside mount. That means that, per Select Blinds' published guidelines, the finished product should be reduced by 1/4" to fit inside the window frame. The blinds arrived January 3rd, and are 34 1/2" wide, so won't fit the windows. I've been in touch with Select Blinds 4 times and sent them 2 photos that clearly show the problem, and they are insisting the blinds are correct. At this point, I've disputed the charges with PayPal and will not do business with SB again. Unfortunate as my past experiences with them were always good.

    DO NOT BUY HERE!!! ALL OF THE GOOD REVIEWS ARE JUST LUCK. "Satisfaction guarantee" is non-existent & they will say they aren't guaranteed to deliver you what you ordered. I've been trying to have my issue resolved for weeks and I've contacted them at least 8 times via chat, phone, and email. I initially ordered a color swatch and then 2 off-white roller-shades for my bedroom to try them out, per their website recommendation. I liked them, so I ordered 6 more off-white roller shades, which is when everything went wrong.

    All of the roller shades from the second order arrived in a very yellow-tint ivory shade, instead of the off-white color requested. I attached a side by side comparison of my off-white roller shade from the first order to roller shades from in the second order and sent it to their customer service. I also sent an image of a roller shade from the second order and compared to their Ivory sample to make it very clear that they sent the wrong color. However, they refuse to resend, accept a return, provide me a refund..or actually do ANYTHING about it. They defer every decision to the "production team" which will go through great lengths to explain away their errors and not correct their mistakes.

    I've asked to speak to a supervisor several times. I was told that Matthew ** would call me. Has he? Absolutely not. The truth is that All sales are final, whether they make a mistake or not. They will find any reason not to enact their refund clause, even if they make a claim that's unstated on the website like "we're not able to guarantee color matches." So, they don't guarantee their product at all...just guarantee that you are stuck with whatever they send. BUYER BEWARE if you want exactly what you ordered. Or get stuck with something that you didn't order that you must then spend hundreds of dollars replacing by reordering from somewhere else.

She took the time to look back at previous calls, found my videos which the agent I talked to earlier today told me never came, and helped to resolve my problems.     I ordered blackout blinds for the holidays— needed by 12/24- received notice that you were out of blackout material and the blinds would not be made until after the holidays. I called immediately to cancel. The blinds have now been delivered when they are useless to me and I’m told that you have no communication with your factory — they went ahead and made the blinds AFTER the holidays— Weeks after I cancelled and you will not accept responsibility. Select Blinds is still charging me for expensive huge blackout blind and will not take it a back or off my credit card— offered a tiny discount if I would keep the now useless blackout shade that was for my granddaughter's room over Christmas. She is gone now as in also installed blackout curtains for her- the blinds are now utterly and completely useless to me- landfill material that I am now being told I will pay for even though cancelled WEEKS before your facility made them!!     We moved into a brand new house. Before ordering blinds for all of the windows we thought we would try 2 windows first to make sure we liked them. Short story is that I wish we went elsewhere. Placed the order on Dec 8th and my credit card was billed immediately. Here's a summary of the emails I received from them:

    Dec 8, 2019 - "Thanks for your order! Please take a moment to review the details below...." Dec 11, 2019 - "Just a quick update to let you know your beautiful, custom window treatments are in production as we speak. Everything's running right on schedule, so look to hear from us again once your order is shipped and on its way!" Dec 12, 2019 - "We regret to inform you that the material used to finish your order is on back order..." Jan 6, 2020 - "We regret to inform you that the material used to finish your order is on back order..."

    We ordered two (2) cellular blinds in white. A full month later and they still can't or won't deliver them. Now someone can try to argue that this isn't their fault. I say it is because:

    1) It's their job to have the materials needed to make the primary product they sell.
    2) Simple white cellular blinds are a basic item. Not some esoteric special order request.

    3) Don't charge my credit card if you know you can't fulfill the order.

    I cancelled my order and will never deal with this incompetent company again.

I decided to replace the blinds for the master bathroom on Jan 1 during their sale (30% + extra 20% off), but I then decided I needed to order samples.     Most, but not all of the 10 shades ordered arrived cut to window opening size...two were correctly cut 1/4" less and fit perfectly, and two I miswrote the size. Customer service was very helpful in solving these issues. The miscuts were replaced at no cost, and my incorrect measurement were replaced for $10 each shipping costs. They are also alerting the quality control office to prevent future incorrect cuts. The quality of the shades is great and the installing is easy. So, other than waving to the construction workers outside my new home for a few extra days (no window coverings), I believe I will be quite satisfied once I receive the new shades.

    Stay away! We ordered Roman shades and they stick out 4 inches! No privacy. Very old fashioned design that is NOT shown in their official pictures. And they came too short. I followed the measure guide. But worse, we got a bunch of samples but then it is IMPOSSIBLE to match the sample color to actual options on their site, since nothing is properly labeled. We ended up ordering what turned out to be a very hideous vinyl roller shade that’s unusable. Their “guarantee” has so many loopholes, they won’t take it back. Never, ever again. Do NOT order from them.

    The customer service representative took the time to answer and resolve all of my questions. He helped me decide on the type of mounting I should use. He sent me a picture of the mounting bracket and suggested a non-standard solution for my unique situation. He also told me how to correctly measure for both vertical blinds and cellular blinds for inside and outside mounting. And, he suggested a material for the cellular blinds that would be compatible with the vertical blind material I had selected. All in all, the representative could not have been more helpful. I contacted the company and was treated as if I really matter to them (most places I don't even get to speak with a person). They are building new blinds for us at no charge.     We have purchased six shades from Select Blinds and had product defects with half, including a roller shade that came apart and needed to be replaced (we're still waiting a month later for the replacement). The materials may be more premium than other makers, but the assembly seems to have issues. To say they are 'poorly assembled Mexican crap' would be extreme as the materials and customer service is good. We will, however, be ordering from either Home Depot or another maker next time to avoid the trouble of replacing defective product and paying more.

    We ordered two 2" faux wood blinds on Black Friday, as well as a cellular honeycomb blackout shade. The blackout shade arrived quickly and was installed easily, and functions well. The faux woods are another story. One arrived without bubble wrap, and was well dented. Neither had the right valence. We installed one to see how it would look...They are awful. They don't show on their website that the corded version is aesthetically awful. Our windows are approximately 70" wide and because of a "tip" on their website, we ordered 2 blinds on one headrail. They line up well when closed but look so cheap when hanging up. One side hangs at a slant so they appear asymmetrical. The (wrong) valence doesn't stay up and keeps sliding down making it difficult to use the wand tilt. There are FOUR cords to use on each side - 8 total - to grab when pulling open the blinds.

    My husband called to at least get the damaged one replaced and the phone call was dropped. The representative did not call him back, and when he tried calling back, they had closed for the day... So she let the call drop and then went home. She also never responded to his email regarding a replacement. Finally things escalated to a manager and we are getting a replacement. However, had we known there would be FOUR ugly cords on EACH side as well as an asymmetrical gap in the middle, we would *not* have ordered the 2 in 1 blinds - again, as recommended by the company - and certainly would not have had cords. *There are NO pictures of the excessive amount of cords on the website - they only show cordless!!!*

    It has been weeks since our original order and we're still waiting for the replacement - which honestly we don't even want - but they say no refunds so we have no choice. Buyer beware. We would have been better off going to Home Depot and having them cut to size in front of us. We'd be done by now, have saved money, and they'd look better!

    I filled my cart with 22 blinds and ordered a sample on 11/29/2019. Was told in writing that the price of the cart would be honored since we ordered a sample. It is on the website as well as the email sent confirming the blind order. Called to order the blinds once the sample was reviewed on 12/14/2019. Price of cart was $1,056.33 and I have the printed copy. Was told on the phone they would not honor that price but could go as low as $1,173.04. They lost a whole house of windows over $116.71 and would not keep their word. Asked to speak with the manager twice and was told no. Said they would call me back. They did not. Bad business practice to bait and switch, especially when the customer has your commitment in writing.

    I purchased two, two inch premier wood blinds, outside mount with valances. The blind bracket mounts are 2 1/4 inch deep and the valance mounts are 3/4 inch deep for a total depth of 3 inches. The valance return that goes from the front to the wall is only 1 1/2 deep with leaves an ugly 1 1/2 inch gap between the wall and the end of the valance return. I complained to Select Blinds and their response was you received 1 1/2 inch valance returns that you should have...a have responded and said they are not what I should receive because the gap from the wall should not be that big.

    I purchased 9 blinds which arrived today. The blinds were unfortunately 1 inch too wide, thought ok I will send them back and they will cut and return, no such luck. The “fit guarantee” only applies to 2 blinds, and since the style I choose cannot be cut I was told to donate the blinds and pay again, seems unreasonable, I had no problem paying something but to pay $700+ again in unreasonable. I wouldn’t order from this company, order from someone who will help the customer as I saw many other sites seemed willing to do. Buyer beware.

    This was my first time ordering from Select Blinds and I will now be a customer for life! On my original order my husband mis-measured our blind so when we received the blind and noted the mishap I called. I was thrilled to know there was only a minimal cost for the additional inches. I didn't receive an email confirmation right away as discussed so I called customer care today and found out that the order was on hold because of the lift system needed for the new blind size. She explained that the order didn't go thru right away because there was an additional cost that hadn't been approved by me. The customer care individual, Parys, managed to get the additional cost for the lift system waived because of the delay!!! I would have paid the additional cost but was thrilled to hear that wasn't necessary. Like I said -I am a customer for life now!!

    I ordered cellular shades on Black Friday. I observed that the shades I wanted were $10.97 best seller for their standard 24 by 36. So, I increased the size to 29 x 62 and the price was adjusted to $44.00. I received the order and they sent me 24 x 36 and I still got charged the $44.00. I spoke to Taylor, a representative of Select Blinds. I waited approximately 35 minutes. Then, she told that she did not know the prices on Black Friday, then she told me that I had to wait 24 to 48 hours to speak to a manager. Then, she advised me that there was no legal department or phone number, but that I had to pay $10.00 for each item plus $34.00 to $105.00. Very bad experience.

    Placed order. My error, the front door blind was 1/2 off. I called to activate their "warranty" and paid $10 more to have the blind remade. Total now is $34.08. First replacement arrives and was dented/damaged either in the factory or during shipping. The wand would neither open nor close the blind. Complained and a replacement was sent. This too arrived damaged. The piece that opens to drop/raise the blind was flapping about and not secure. Customer Service told me this piece probably came loose in shipping and all I had to do was pop it back in. Really? There is no way that piece of metal could be "pooped back in". They offered to replace and I declined. If you can't get it right on the first two attempts, I'm not risking a third.

    Requested a refund. They refunded the $10 but not the original $24.08. If Select Blinds send TWO defective blinds, not ONE, they have a moral responsibility to REFUND the entire cost, not "cherry pick' making the excuse that the original blind was correct but short 1/2", therefore they are not responsible for refunding the entire cost even though they shipped TWO replacement defective blinds. Would neither recommend nor ever buy from these sharks again.

I called Select Blinds to take advantage of their satisfaction guarantee. Wow! Horribly misleading 90 Day Satisfaction Guarantee! They state that if you're not happy with your item, they will remake it in the same size for the same great discount price you paid, plus give an additional 10% Off. The wording is a trap! What they really mean is, you can reorder your product and they will charge you AGAIN. I can't imagine how many people they trick with their wording. They falsely gave me a secure, warm feeling about ordering with them. Lesson learned though, stay away. Now I’m stuck with blinds that don’t match.

    Customer service was called because the blinds I received were essentially white, but on the website they are a deep sand color. I complained and they said they would take my complaint seriously, had me hang my blinds to make sure they were ok in that department, which I did, then had me take pictures of the blinds to prove my point, which I did. Then I tried to follow up and got the run around again, they asked the same questions had no knowledge of what had transpired, then we re-opened the case with all new information.

    They send me a sample to see if it matches what I received. It did, but still it's essentially white. another round of emails, no response, and again, I have to reopen the case because they do not keep records of their complaints. When you call you wait a minimum of 20 minutes. And then you start again at square 1. Total waste of time, when in the end they will not do anything for you. This has taken hours of my time. Horrible experience.

    They need to make their policy for errors when shades are a little too big where they can be sent back and cut down. Understandably if they are too small there is not much to do except purchase a new one but absolutely should be able to be cut down for free. They want you to buy a whole new shade at a 10% discount big deal. Buyer Beware. I have sold window shades and installed for years and very rarely has a shade not fit. Check your area for a rep.... Usually you can find someone not too expensive and they will take the responsibility if the shade doesn't fit. There are many variables when measuring and this policy of select blinds is not on the side of the consumer.

    I ordered Roman Shades for 2 windows in the kitchen. I had them installed and they are crooked. On one side the pleat is 6" long and the other side is 5.5" long and by the time you get to the bottom of the shade it is completely crooked. The other window is not as bad with one side being 6" and the other being 5 3/4" giving a slightly titled look. It has a cordless lift which does not work properly and takes a lot of time to get them up. I called and sent pictures and am now sitting by the phone again for a callback. I wanted these for Thanksgiving and their ad said if not received by Thanksgiving they are free. Well this is not what I paid for and they will not address the issue. I want my money back and I will return these shades.

    We recently purchased Roman shades for our dining room after receiving the sample. I wanted light filtering but what we got was so sheer you could easily see the hardware and strings. The total cost was over $450.00. In addition, one of the shades had a hole at the bottom. I called the first evening and left my number on the recording as it was over an hour wait. No return call. Called the next night and waited 45 minutes. Explained the situation and was told to send pictures. The rep told me we should have orordered a liner. Ok if you looked it up, a liner was not offered with this material.

    Got an email saying they would contact us. Ok. Two days later called again. After again waiting 45 minutes the rep said, "Well what’s wrong with your Roman shades." Really? Told they would have a warranty rep call me in 24-48 hours. Ok. Just forget it. I don’t have time for this runaround. Once they get your money forget it. They say satisfaction guaranteed. No way. Go somewhere else for better quality and service.

    I had to order the blinds three times and they never shipped the correct size. The last time I tried to have the order corrected they told me I had waited too long to have a replacement shipped. (8 weeks) I had called specifically to get the correct size for my window and they never delivered. I will not recommend this company to anyone.

    If you would like to have blinds that last longer than 5 years, this is not the company for you. While ordering is easy, installing not bad either, the blinds do not hold up. Everywhere there is a crease or fold, the blind has fallen apart. I have tried patiently to get resolution on the defective blinds with a lot of runaround from blanket emails stating they'll get back to me in 1-2 days sent repeatedly to just flat out stating the warranty is over. I have blinds in my home that are 10+ years that look 100 times better than these are that disintegrating. Do not waste your money.

    Received my wooden blinds first and installed with one valence too long. Called too many times with same thing...take a picture with measurement. Emailed no response. Shutters arrived the next week, not one would fit. Called customer service to speak to a manager but too busy. After about five calls no results, we had to phone a local blind company to fix and install with additional payment of $900. This company made over $5,000 with us and will never use them again nor receive any emails.

    I received the custom-made order on-time and installed the blinds according to the installation guide on the website. I ordered 2 piece Premium Faux Blinds since the length was almost 100". The measurements were perfect. However, upon installation, I realized that the tilt wand is rubbing against the top wood blind and there was a small dent on the top blind, possibly resulted from shipping. This is definitely poor fabrication because the placement of wand attached piece is just too close to the top blind. There is just no way to rotate the blinds the other way. Anyway, after contacting customer service (3 times with images showing the problem), still no definite answer. During the last conversation, I was told they are busy but also emailed the production facility. 4 days later, still no answer. And the answer is easy: replace the defective item. I understand custom orders are tricky but this is just poor fabrication. It is very easy to see.

    Ordered 2 wood blinds for a bedroom in August. Have been waiting for extension brackets since that time. I’ve called multiple times and while the customer service staff has been very kind, the brackets are still not here. Each time I call to see if they’re on the way I’m told the order is in process and they’ll email more information. It’s going on 3 months that these blinds are sitting on the floor and my windows are bare. The blinds look nice but if they never get put up what’s the point?

    In the past month I have purchased blinds from this company for 6 of my windows and only 1 of the measurements was correct. The first issue was two blinds with one headrail and the blinds didn't hang evenly causing them to look crooked. Taking my chances and hoping to have the same luck as the first window, due to the price, I decided to order blinds for 4 bedroom windows. I sent the exact size I needed 34 inch for inside mount and they arrived 33 1/2. When I chatted with the customer service lady, which I will post after this review, she continued to insist they did nothing wrong as they are suppose to trim 1/2 inch for inside mount and therefore too bad. I also mistakenly purchased the S blinds for one room and they look CHEAP and are cheaply made.

    Not to mention, I had to pay someone $150 to come hang the blinds. He didn't hang them because they were too short; however, I had to pay him to remove the old ones and then reinstall the old ones when the new ones proved to be too short. Bottom line, do yourself a favor and go to Home Depot. Their faux wood blinds are just as nice and they stand behind their work. I am out almost $500 plus $150 for handyman.

    To add insult to injury, the store representative was quite rude saying over and over they always take 1/2 inch off and they made them as they should have. I am not a blind expert, I just gave the exact measurements as requested. The funny thing is, the first blind I bought from them fit perfectly an inside mount and I had no problem. The quality of the blinds are not consistent. Please save yourself headache and money. Go somewhere else. Below please see the exchange between myself and the company.     It's been 18 days since I started the return / refund process. I was told my request would be submitted and would hear back within a day or 2. Still haven't heard. I've tried calling - their wait times grow while you're on the phone. They start you out at 15 minutes. Yesterday I was at 50 minutes and then they finally dropped the call. They don't have any associates on chat at the moment. Email hasn't been very effective either. The products... 2 out of the 4 I ordered have issues. One of the blinds sags on one side. The other has a frayed cord in the middle so it sags. I've only had them for just over a month.

    The blinds are decent. However, if you order the wrong color/style (aesthetics), you are screwed. They have a policy that guarantees a remake of the blinds if the measurements are wrong, but they will stubbornly refuse to alter the color/style for that remake even though they are completely remaking the blinds. In summary, get the product EXACTLY correct the first time you order it, or be faced with petty, unforgiving service.

    I feel I am fairly low maintenance and was not expecting the world when I ordered. All I wanted was some plain white material to cover a large window in my kitchen. They could have sent a white cotton sheet and I would have been ok with it. However, what I received was a gaudy, tacky, shiny, glossy material from the 50s era. I opened the box and immediately closed it back up they were so ugly. I called customer service and you could tell this poor guy had talked through this same scenario a thousand times.

    Just as the rest of the one star ratings stated, they will offer you a 10% discount if you order again. SERIOUSLY? Why would I do that? His answer was very professional but but in short he said too bad. You can donate them and write it off. That's all we can do. I also read the responses from the rep but would imagine that is PR song and dance. I doubt anyone has received a call back from anyone. Never again. The one star ratings are real. Beware.

    Top quality I would recommend these blinds to anyone. I have the aluminum ones. They are a focal point to the room. Nothing compared to the cheap ones at the Home Depot made of vinyl. Made to specs. No long hanging extra slats perfect! Custom built to my specs. Love em. Heads up to Chandler customer service representative. He was very informative to my inquiry.

    On a recent order for horizontal blinds, they sent me incorrect mounting hardware. I contacted customer support. One week later, the replacement parts arrived. Once again, they sent me the wrong mounting hardware for my horizontal blinds. The vertical blind mounting brackets they sent me twice are not the correct part and are insufficient to hold the weight of a 78" set of horizontal blinds. I do not wish to attempt using these inadequate parts as it may damage the blinds. The correct parts are clearly shown on the third and fourth pictures of their parts page at https://www.selectblinds.com/tech-tips/window-covering-parts.html, not the mounting brackets for verticals shown further down the page under 'verticals'.

After several calls, the best offer they made was to sell us another set at the same (discount?) price.     We spent a ton of time searching for top down shades and saw exactly what we wanted on the website. There was a picture of top down shades and it said "click here." We clicked, we put in the measurements and guess what arrives...bottom up shades. I argued and argued and argued with the customer service rep. We were polite, but nonetheless we argued. I was told I could get new blinds for 10% off. SO, basically I had to live with this. I did order three new blinds, but the cost basically ate up all of what I had saved on the original order. I won't go through these guys again. I'll go to a store.

    If you have a problem with your order DO NOT try calling customer service. You won’t get through and their chat line is even worse. The person “Tanner” in chat literally sat there for 20 minutes not saying one word to me, just ignored me, every time I said something - until I finally ended the chat. So discouraged - I just spent a lot of money to cover all of the windows in my house and a box is missing and no one will help me sort it out.

    I ordered 6 faux wood blinds from this company. Love love love the blinds. The valance of the blinds are held on with magnets. Three out of the six valance will not hold to the blinds. The magnets are inferior. There is not enough power to the magnets to hold them to the valance. I am trying to redeem this issue myself by using Velcro or adding more of my own magnets.

    This is my second time purchasing blinds from SelectBlinds.com. The first time was super easy and I qualified for a considerable discount on their website.     Ordered a honeycomb shade, and received a bizarre double layer folded shade. Submitted photo and inquiry. Customer service first agreed to replace the item but a few days later wrote to say there was nothing wrong with their product. Staff must be inexperienced with product design. We think it was a manufacturing error and that one side of the honeycomb was pressed inward rather than outward but company seems to not recognize we did not receive what we ordered. Expensive gamble -- we should have used another more trusted vendor.

    The product you ordered has a different cellular structure than standard honeycomb or cellular shades have. They're larger cells, so they fold in on the backside, confirming with the pattern of the front of the shades. Most cellulars instead fold out, forming a diamond if you are looking at the side.     I ordered custom cut roller shades for inside mount, along with the remote to raise and lower and the smart app. I confirmed with Select Blinds the shades I was ordering were compatible with the smart app they sold. I installed the blinds and they were cut 1" too short, so now I have a 1/2" gap of light on both sides of the windows. One of the shades were cut and rolled bad so it kept hitting the sides of the window frame and would bunch up. They did replace that fairly quickly.

    One of the nonmotorized shades broke and will not move - it's in a permanent down position. But to top it all off, after months of frustrating failures to pair these blinds to their smart remote they sold me along with the blinds, I find out, they're not compatible. The entire experience has been frustrating and a waste of $1600. If all you want is regular/standard blinds, I'm sure they're fine. But if you want anything smart, go somewhere else.

    I purchased two sets of blinds for pretty standard sized windows, it was $150 for the pair. Nothing fancy, no added features.

    Pros:
    - Quick shipping for free.
    - Easy to order.
    - Packaged decently.

    - Cut / fit correctly.

    Cons:
    - Paper thin slats (they actually feel like cardboard).
    - Thin metal top assembly/housing - looks and feels flimsy and cheap.
    - Internal hardware is super thin and cheap, it sounds like I'm raising/lowering super cheap aluminum blinds, not wood or faux wood.
    - Strings are super thin.
    - Hard to tilt blinds, takes a decent amount of effort compared to others.
    - Blinds don't close far enough in both directions to provide complete privacy from all angles.

    - Cannot return these since they're custom blinds - returns are only allowed for defects, not poor quality.

    The company seems nice and pleasant (I spoke with customer service) and is on top of their logistics, but their product quality is just sub par. I didn't expect top of the line blinds for $150, but I expected something significantly nicer than what I received.

    I ordered 2 blinds for my mom's new house. Both blinds were the same length, 1/4" difference with the width. One blind was good, the 2nd one they cut 3" too short. I had fought with them for over a month about their screw up. Take a picture...then another one..how about you hang it up and let the pleats relax...how about another picture......let us just jerk you around. I do not want another blind made, since I had to go out and buy window coverings for a front facing bedroom. I just want my money back and even suggested that I send both back to make it easy for them. Will not buy from Select Blinds again.

    I called to inquire about replacing a broken shade that I had bought 2 years ago. I spoke to Drew ** and explained my situation and he asked if I could take a photo of the shade and forward it to him. I took the photo but had a difficult time in forwarding it to him. We tried at least four ways for me to get the picture to him but I couldn't figure out how to do what he suggested. He was extremely patient with me and we kept at it until we found a way that worked. I was impressed with the way he treated me which was in a calm and professional manner. This experience with customer service will certainly come into play the next time I need to purchase any shades or blinds.

    My review is mixed as I have not actually seen the blinds since they are being shipped to my home 1100 miles from here. Ordering online is a breeze...That said I have several questions and needed to speak to a customer service rep. My First rep (Jason) was very helpful and I not be more pleased. THEN, I realized I had given a incorrect length on (1) blind so I immediately tried to contact Jason. Of course I got the automated phone system saying "due to higher call volumes there would be a wait". I waited nearly an hour and decided to go the email approach. I wrote explaining my mistake and that they needed to cancel the one blind and replace it with a blind that was several inches longer. NO RESPONSE for 11 days... I also attempted to order one additional blind and NO RESPONSE to date.

    Today, I received an email explaining their policy on replacement blinds which stated I would need to take a tape measure, take a picture of the window opening, with the tape measure showing and they would replace the blind. THE BLIND IS 1100 MILES AWAY... So I called again and finally got a return phone call from Tyler and he was very nice but somewhat argumentative at first, until I threatened to cancel another order I have with the company.

    Once this sunk in he became helpful again and all is well except that they charged me $10.72 for shipping which is okay; but my point to Tyler was that had they returned my call that first day or read my email that stated the order no. and that the kitchen window needed to be 32" instead of 28" in length, I would not have to order another blind thus no shipping fee would be charged. IN A NUTSHELL IF YOU TALK TO A PERSON THEY ARE VERY GOOD. IF YOU SEND THEM AN EMAIL OR CHAT OR CALL THEM... Don't expect a reply or a callback... Well that is harsh*** for 11 days!!!!!

    I have used Select Blinds for 5 years. This last order was wrong. They send me inches instead of ft. I'm 62 yrs old. I've never heard of 10 inch blinds or 12 inch blinds so I called and they said they can't do anything about it.     Looked promising at first as I moved into a new construction and needed blinds. After reviewing a few websites, Select Blinds came into the picture with their welcoming website and full of positive reviews which seems now fabricated. I purchased a few blinds after taking instructed measuring to try them out before diving into possibly purchasing all of the blinds for remaining windows. When I received the the 2 blinds to "test" it out, the cutouts were good but the quality was very flimsy. (I have compared to many other blinds and their quality). I could've just gone to Home Depot if I wanted something to put up. Looked flimsy when I place a pinky finger on it and ever so slightly add pressure, the whole slab comes down.

    I called customer service rep to plead the issue with them and they responded quickly that they are customized blinds and they get them from another vendor so nothing can be done. It was as if she was reading a script as they get this type of calls regularly. I am disappointed with the lack of customer support as they don't stand behind their product. Shame.

    First I'd like to say that this was my first time ordering or even hearing about this company. With that said I have a new home that I had built seven years ago and it came with Faux blinds (White) and so I decided to go with something else that would spruce up my windows. Now I will admit I know nothing about blinds or shades so I had five guys come thru with quotes and the last guy said, "Sir if you're going to spend that kind of money why not go from a blind to a shade instead of spending that much money on blinds only to go from a white to a different color." Well made sense since I have 16 windows that I wanted to change out and the cheapest cost was just under 5 thousand for Faux wood blinds from one company and the guy who I showed the quote to thought that was outrageous.

    Well I called my brother who used to be a blinds installer to get his input and he steered me to Select-Blinds. So my brother took the measurements for my windows and he agreed that shades would look much nicer than just changing blinds to a different color. I then called Select looked at a few colors and they said they could send me samples (highly recommend doing so) and I got a chance to see the colors I chose and I placed my order. Well everything from ordering to delivery went just fine. I was impressed by the agent helping me and when they arrived I called my brother who installed them for me. Well I must say I was TOTALLY impressed and VERY happy with the end result. I give this company five stars and for those having complaints "make-sure" you're measuring your windows correctly!! Thank you Select-Blinds for excellent service and a excellent product!!

    So frustrating dealing with Select Blinds. Our cordless blackout blinds broke and does not stay up. I contact Select Blinds Customer Service. They told me they were no longer under warranty, but they most certainly were. So after several rounds of showing them they are still under warranty, they finally agreed to replace them. After a few weeks, I followed up with Select Blinds about the reorder. They told me, "Sorry but we no longer make this specific blind, so the warranty is no longer valid." I showed them a blind that was a different name but very similar to my original order and they said they were not going to stand behind their warranty. I am not trying to do not order from them, but be aware they will do/say anything from trying to not live up to their stated warranties.

    So incredibly frustrated. I ordered blinds on July 21st, 2019. Two days before they were supposed to be shipped out, I called in since I hadn't received a shipping e-mail. I was told, after calling, they weren't sure what happened, but that the color I ordered was no longer available. He told me he would do some research to find out what happened, and would call me back. He never did....I asked via e-mail to send samples. So, they sent me samples to pick another color. I called in many times over the next week, and it took me about 2 hours on hold to get a hold of someone, since they were having "longer than normal call volumes." I finally got a hold of someone who changed my color for the order and gave me a % off for my inconvenience. I was told there would be a rush placed on this order and I should have it in 7-10 days.

    That was mid August. I called in again at the beginning of September, since I had not received an e-mail update. Well, they aren't sure what is going on. The fellow told me he would call me back. He never did. Today, I called again, they don't know what is going on. I asked for a manager multiple times and they have told me I could be "put on a list", but have never heard back from them either. I'm not sure what is going on, but again, waiting for a call back for an order that was supposed to be here well over a month ago. I have called back another time as the supervisor never called me back. It has been a week since this review was written and they still haven't started my order or have an update for me.

    I ordered skylight blinds for our home we just purchased. Easy to deal with when ordering. A couple days before they were to ship I got an email that they were now on backorder for 3 months. I was offered to wait or cancel and opted to cancel as I need these now. I found they had already charged my credit card even though they couldn't fulfill my order for 3 months and asked for a refund. I'm getting nothing but lip from customer service that they have to review for 24 hours, which has since passed. The employee was short with me and rude, too bad the person taking the order isn't the same one as that person was very professional. I have since placed an order with Lowe's because the sun is so bright coming through the 2 skylights I am concerned about my carpet and furniture.

    I had ordered a custom blinds that I changed my mind later to modify my order. I called the customer service and I spoke with Tyler who was very knowledgeable and provided me with an Excellent Customer support and was very helpful to ease my issues.     We ordered over $5,000 of blinds. The company's direction on how to measure for french doors are wrong. Their directions allow for the blinds to go up six inches over the door but the blinds require nine inches if the doors open inward. The company refuses to stand behind their website direction but offered to sell me more blinds. I am now stuck with over $2,000 in blinds that don't fit the door. The company won't return phone calls in a dispute. They sometimes respond to emails. Buyer BEWARE! Don't waste your money with this company.

    My original blackout shades when a ride did not fit the windows. There were misinterpretations and miscommunications with the measuring instructions. In speaking with Tyler at customer service he was extremely helpful and accommodating. Select Blinds agreed to replace my order at no charge. I so greatly appreciate your accommodation.
