I have been going back and forth with Matthew concerning the issue. There was miscommunication about emails that were sent they thought I received a confirmation email. I sent Matthew all the emails I received and did not receive the that had the sizes. Matthew thinks it probably went to my spam folder. I am changing my review to 5 stars he is refunding me and all is well. He is sending a email to his I.T. Department to prevent this from happening. I would definitely use them again and would definitely make sure the measurements are correct.

I ordered 2 Mini Blinds on July 12, 2019 over the phone. I received a email on July 20th my Blinds were being shipped. The problem is they made one Blind 1 inch short. I called them and they don’t work on Saturday. I sent a email right away. I called on Monday and they said it will take a few days to listen to the call. I had to call them and I was told the Supervisor listened to the call and she said they were wrong but didn’t order a new blind. The Rep was nice and ordered the correct size. I was waiting and didn’t hear a thing. I called to see where my blind was and I was told the plant was shut down until August 5th. I was upset because I was never told about the plant being closed.
The Rep said he will escalate the order and and they would give me 2 day shipping. I had to wait 1 hour and 20 minutes on hold, just ridiculous! I received a email and they did not give me 2 day shipping. I called and the Rep said it’s not Customer Service's fault. It’s the plant. I guess that makes all right. I asked for a Supervisor and she said not available, she didn’t even try! I had Family in town and they were going to put up my blinds and now I have to pay someone to put this in. I’m extremely unhappy with this Company and they don’t care about their customers! Good luck if you buy from them. They can’t take a Order correctly.

I was originally sent the wrong bracket and couldn’t install my blinds, but they quickly over-nighted the correct brackets and were very helpful.

They sent the wrong brackets, so I couldn't install it after I had gotten a ladder for the day to install it up high above my home's entryway. A customer service rep offered me a refund, and then 2 weeks later I received a new set of brackets in the mail and found out they were no longer giving me a refund, after I had already ordered a new set of blinds from a different company.

We ordered 237 set of blinds for a commercial project and had them dropshipped to one of our top clients. Select Blinds did not send any of the 237 tilt wands that go along with the order and since then we have been told that they no longer have a COMMERCIAL DIVISION and have been given the run around. Several reps for the company were suppose to follow up but have not, terrible service and will cost you time, money and possibly high end clients.

I am a home decorator with lots of experience installing blinds and curtains. I drove 3 hours to install shades at a home in the country. The hardware (screws) provided had the shallowest slot I've ever seen - similar to the screw in a switch plate. It was impossible for a screwdriver (tried many different ones) to properly grip the screw head. I could only get about 75% into the wall. Who even uses screws like these today. They were a joke. Customer service told me to go to a hardware store and buy different screws. Really? NO - And they refuse to offer a refund. So I have filed a dispute with Amex.

I ordered a small set of custom blinds for my kitchen window. I was surprised at how cheaply made they were. I normally buy all my blinds from Walmart however I needed these to be a custom size. The Walmart shades are much hardier and better made. The valance that came with these was cut crooked and it has a random slot in it that does not line up with anything. I have written the company to let them know my concerns. However even if they sent out a new set I don't want them because we have already put these up and if I am going to take them down I would replace with something of much better quality especially for a kitchen.

The last blinds I received were not as expected. I was shocked because I'd ordered numerous times from Select Blinds. My concern was I had thrown away the packaging. I called customer service and was told that it wasn't a problem. She was very apologetic and informed me all that was needed was pictures of the window shades.. Once pictures are received the refund would be returned to my card!! How easy is that!!! Then I mentioned going back to purchase the top down bottom up honeycombs but I would have to call back because I hadn't picked my colors. Customer representative very nicely held on while I scanned all the difference samples and placed the order for them to be mail to me....Couldn't have been a better experience. I will ALWAYS use and recommend Select Blinds.

I wanted to deal with a person for this purchase. Drew helped me purchase what we needed and did not try to "upsell" other than to discuss options available. It was good to work with someone who knows their products and was able to help identify a mislabeled sample sent out, to help clear up some questions. Select Blinds is currently making our order (14 window shades), so until they arrive I cannot comment much further. But I am hopeful, given my experience thus far.
Virtually every time I called the 800 number I was told to wait at least 10 minutes due to the "heavy call volume generated by the great sale". A little annoying. Once I had waited 10 minutes I again got the "wait times of 10 minutes or more message": it would be nicer to feel like you are counting down to you call. After leaving my number, they did call back, sometimes a half hour later. If it really is a big sale, plan for extra customer service; i.e. the Marketing Manager/CEO could take turns on the phone. This would give them better insight to customer preferences and greater appreciation of the difficulties of providing good service to a wide variety of customers/needs. That being said, I appreciate that Drew took the time to answer my questions and place the order, once working with him my experience was very good.

I ordered my blackout shades from Select Blinds on a July 16, 2019 because I saw that they were having a promotion of 30% plus an additional 20% so I decided to take advantage of that and order it. I originally ordered grey but had a change of heart and a week later asked if that can be changed to white. They were very accommodating and were able to make that color change before shipping me the product. When the product came it was just very slightly off on the size and when I wrote an email about it, someone by the name of Hayley **. contacted me immediately to apologize and made things right! Will definitely like to order from them again in the future because of the quality of the product and the great customer service.

There were multiple problems with the blackout shade. First, the shade was not flush with the wall and it had a 2.5 inch gap from the wall to the shade. Second, the shade was the wrong size. I ordered a 72 inch wide shade and the shade that was made and shipped was a 71 inch wide shade. Third, The shade also had a retraction problem. Donna in customer service emailed me a video to correct the issue and after completing the steps from the video the issue is not resolved. It still had the same issue with retraction. So, I received a blind that does not work, is the wrong size and sticks out from the wall 2.5 inches. This is a blackout shade, outside window mount that is supposed to keep light out. It is supposed to lay flat with the wall. It does not keep the light out.
After trying to get a refund for my defective blinds with Donna in customer service for the last 7 days now and dealing with customer support by email. Customer support asked for photos of the width of the shade and I emailed them photos right away and then they asked me to mail the shades back to them after Donna in customer service told me to donate the shades since they could not be returned. Donna said, that customer support said that they did not get the pictures I emailed them but they never emailed me telling me that they never received the photos and Donna said the pictures are there in my account and the pictures came through in the emails.
I decided to call in to talk with a different agent since Donna was not available today. I reached Ken in customer service and he was able to give me a full refund. Thank you Ken for your awesome customer service. I give you 5 stars. I give my overall experience with select blinds a 1 star. I definitely didn’t need the additional stress with this order.
Ordering from Select Blinds has been a nightmare. I suggest that the company make some improvements. There is a lack of communication within the company from customer service phone support to customer service email support. There is no quality control obviously before a product is shipped out. Who let the shades go out the door with out inspecting them first to make sure they are the correct size and work properly. There are many reviews on the web and people are saying that they received the wrong size blinds. A company should get this right the first time. Whoever is not doing the job should be let go. Simple remove them from the company.

Ordering was simple and easy. Three of our roller shades were not functioning properly. When we called in Hayley was very helpful and we reordered replacements quickly. Hopefully the new ones work! All the rest of our roller shades were installed easily and worked properly.

Purchasing a custom 74"W by 27"H blackout shade was easy and clear on the website. Select Blinds sent follow up emails when my order was put into production and when it shipped. The shade I received was not the correct dimensions (it was 73x70). I contacted customer service by email. They sent me a corrected shade, but the second blackout shade also had incorrect measurements (73x38). I contacted customer service by phone and I spoke with Hayley. She was nice and helpful and I got a refund for my order. The shade itself seems fine; I just wish I would have received it in the correct size. At least this company has great customer service.

Select Blinds customer service rep, Hayley, did a wonderful and painless attention to my issue with a newly purchased cordless blind. I purchase mostly corded blinds for my new house and they all worked effortlessly. Hayley was able to upgrade to the corded and I paid a $40.00 difference which worked out best for me. She suggested I donate the other shade to Habitat for Humanities which is a good idea. Thanks Hayley!

We ordered 11 sets of blinds for a older second home. We were having trouble getting the blinds in the widths we needed. We called customer service and got GREAT advice on which blinds we actually needed to order for the widths we needed. The blinds were quickly shipped to us. We ordered and received them within a 1 1/2 week span. Part of this time was during the July 4th holiday. Upon receiving the blinds, all were the correct size except one! I'm very impressed with the quick service, as well as the accuracy. I've contacted the service department and have instructions on how to get the incorrect one replaced. GREAT prices, GREAT quality, GREAT customer service. What more can one ask for? I will be a future return customer!

Updated on 08/24/2019: Select Blinds was generous enough to finally ship my order after seeing the above review. Specifically, it took them until July 31st, more than a month after I placed the order to finally get them to me. For all of the blinds I ordered the string style pull to open and close them. One of the largest blinds I ordered was sent with the wand style mechanism AND it had no wand in the box.
So on July 31st I contacted Tanner at Select Blinds to explain things to him. He gave me two options, they'll either send me the string so I can change out the mechanism myself, or they'll send me a wand to use with the messed up blinds they sent me. He never offered to actually take the blinds back so I could get what I paid for. Since I obviously don't know how or what to learn how to replace the mechanism inside the blinds I opted for the "easy" road and asked him to just send me a new wand.
Two weeks later I still had no wand. On August 12th I chatted with good ole Tanner again, who once again assured me that my wand would be sent to me promptly. He said he would follow up with me, which he hasn't of course. A few days later my wife called and spoke to someone who said they couldn't help us because someone else (presumably Tanner) was already "helping" us.
Today is August 24th. It's been nearly 2 months since I have Select Blinds several hundred dollars. My order is still wrong AND incomplete. Of course since they already have my money they have little incentive to actually do anything to correct their deficiencies. Take note that the positive reviews you see here are from people who get their products shipped quickly and have no issues with their order. Any review that involves someone having to deal with Select Blinds AFTER SALE customer service is negative. Once they have your money they no longer care about providing quality service. Once again, BUYER BEWARE!!!
Original Review: I placed an order for 13 blinds on June 29th for around $700. The blinds were supposed to be made and shipped before I closed on my new house on July 15th. On July 5th Select Blinds shipped 3 of the blinds. Their tracking system says the other 10 should have been shipped by July 2nd, yet I they are still (supposedly) in production to this day (July 17th). Interestingly I placed another order around July 8th and those blinds were shipped out a few days later. So I've already received a order placed on July 8th but I'm still waiting on an order from June 29th. I'm moving into my new house tomorrow and I only have 4 of the 14 blinds I ordered almost 3 weeks ago.
On July 8th I got an email saying my order was being placed on hold. My wife called and the customer service rep said he had no idea what the email was about but the blinds were still in production. She asked for a timeline and he said he couldn't provide one. The next day she called and spoke to someone different who also said he couldn't give her a timeline for when we should get the $700 worth of blinds we paid for. Yesterday I used the chat feature on their website to inquire about my product and they told me they couldn't help but someone would contact me soon. I've basically been given the run around for several weeks while Select Blinds holds onto my money and blinds and refuses to give me a date for when or if I will ever get what I paid for. Buyer beware!!!

Select Blinds was having a Sale that I wanted to take advantage of because I had 22 blinds to order for every room in the whole house. It was a bit daunting attempting this on my own with so many fabulous choices, I couldn't decide, so I called the 888 number. It was my good fortune to have my call answered by Drew! He was smart, patient and took the time to go thru each and every option as well as guide me to the best blinds for my needs. I would highly recommend asking for DREW when you call Select Blinds to get any kind of assistance as he is well informed, courteous and a joy to do business with!

I ordered 2" faux blinds from Select Blinds that were expected to ship after a week but instead, I got an email that a part was back ordered and was not expected to ship until a month later. When I asked to cancel the order, they refused to do so! This is criminal behavior... If you cannot honor your time, then you should return the money and cancel the order. I don't have time to wait for a month... I will never shop here again.

2-3 years after the installation of Cordless Cellular Shades, the shades separated halfway in the middle. I believe the glue that held them together wasn't strong enough to keep it together. Our shades had been half drawn not even full drawn. They were also not touched as that's how they stay in our formal. We have our email order stating that Select Blinds is providing lifetime warranty. We just called them after the 5 year period (not realizing 5 year had any significance on support), and they said they only support 5 year warranties now. I reiterated that when I purchased them, they were covered under lifetime warranty but it didn't matter to them. Horrible service and will not purchase from Select Blinds again.

I am writing to give the highest praise to Hayley from Select Blinds. Hayley was fantastic and made an unfortunate experience seem okay. When placing my original order I misunderstood the website based on the product pictures and written description and ordered the wrong shades for my house. I wanted top down bottom up cordless shades. I got top down bottom up with cords. When I called Select Blinds I was very upset. Hayley was calm, kind and very courteous. She walked me through the order that I originally placed. Most importantly, she was understanding and went out of her way to help me get replacement blinds at the best possible price. Again, I do feel like the website is difficult to read and is misleading. But the bottom line is that I ordered the wrong blinds. Hayley did everything she could to help make it right.

I ordered a set of blinds for my home recently. Selectblinds.com sent the wrong size and the blinds were chipped/damaged during shipment. Selectblinds.com then provided one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever encountered. When I subsequently contacted them over the phone to report the problem, they were immediately dismissive of my concerns and refused to replace the product unless I sent multiple pictures taken from various vantage points. It seemed immediately clear to me that this company representative must be routinely receiving these complaints and was instructed to readily dismiss and suppress customers' complaints.
When the pictures were sent, they said it was commonplace for the measurements to be off by up to 0.75 inches on each side and that the chips on the blinds were to be expected since the product was being delivered via ground shipping. If you want a quality product and a headache-free customer experience, AVOID this company. There are so many other far superior competitors out there now. Do not waste time with Selectblinds.com.

I bought three blinds at the Select Blinds. After two weeks production they arrived. Two out of three were not working. Then started the nightmare with their terrible customer service. I sent them the video and pictures and they agreed that their blinds were broken. However when I told them I need the return label they just said they would inform facility to ask FedEx to come and pick up my blinds. No date confirmed pickup. Just let me wait. I left my blinds with my security office and waiting for them to pick up.
After an entire week no one came. Even after I reminded them twice still no response. OK guess how long this process has been? A MONTH!! A freaking month of return process emailing them daily and failed. I might just have to through the entire package into garbage bin and save my security office some space then forget about this mess. So if you purchase anything on this website, it's a gamble. If it doesn't fit, no way you will ever get your money back.

I ordered a $1000 worth of honeycomb blinds. For all the standard windows, everything was fine. I had 2 quarter arch Windows and called customer service to get help on measurements. Sent pics of the 2 windows and was told a 22" x 23" opening was fine. Placed the order and everything shipped but these. Called up and spoke to CS and said the sizing was a problem. Resent pics again and the rep indicated I would need to install a shelf for these. I ordered 2 from a different company since Select did not carry these and had the rep make the appropriate change to window size, 22" x 22". I was supposed to receive an updated order but never did.
After 2 days I called again and this rep indicated it looked like the previous rep I spoke to never changed the order. He assured me he made the change and would send an updated order. Next day I received a request to send a template of the window opening even though it was a standard size 22" x 22". I prepared the template and clearly marked the size on it 22" x 22". Tracked the package and after 4 days, tracking indicated SB received the template.
After 2 weeks with no contact and an order that still showed the wrong size, called again and spoke to Eric. He saw all the notes and assured me he would track down the order and contact me in 1 or 2 days. After 3 days no contact and called again. This time Darren spoke to me and after a 10 minute hold so he could investigate, he came back to me and indicated they would not build the blinds! I was shocked since the website clearly showed the exact window type I was trying to fit and gave me the option to build the blind. He couldn't explain why this was the case and I asked to speak to a manager. There was only one supervisor available on the floor and he indicated she could not speak to me at that time. He put a "priority" call back request in and told me to expect a call in 24 to 48 hours!! Priority? This company does not have a clue and their customer service is horrific. They have my money and I have nothing now!

Ordered 3 roman shades on April 17, 2019. Received the order in May and installed 2 of the 3 shades. Each one is slightly different. One does not hang straight (the mount is straight but the fabric bottom is crooked). The measurements are smaller than expected. I wrote my concerns to customer service in May. It is June 12 and there is still no resolution. I have been patient and provided all necessary pictures and proof but have not been provided any solution to this issue. This is why I was hesitant to order from a online retailer, instead of going to a store and being able to return my item, hassle free. These are expensive items that are not useful in my home and will end up being a waste of money. I cannot recommend to my friends or family to use this company. I tried writing a review on the company website and it would not allow it, maybe because it was less than 5 stars? Dishonest!

Having previously purchased from SelectBlinds several years ago without issue, I did not hesitate to spend over $600 on 6 cellular shades from them last month with the intent of purchasing 17 more in the coming weeks. I am glad I waited because these shades have caused me nothing but problems, and SelectBlinds could not care less. At no time was I told, and nowhere on the website does SelectBlinds disclose that the mounting hardware included with my shades created a 1/2" gap between the window and the shade. Additionally, my shades flattened out from the promised and pictured honeycomb pattern almost immediately (making the gap worse!). Since these are on my bay windows the side windows are at an angle to the room, which allows people to see in and light to come through the gaps created.
Marrin from SelectBlinds said this is all normal and I'm stuck with these expensive shades, that don't actually provide privacy or shade. Unfortunately, I can't use them anywhere else, since my bay windows are differently sized from my other windows. In light of this experience, and SelectBlinds' indifference to my plight, I would no longer recommend SelectBlinds to anyone.

We built a new home and I have ordered all of my roller shades from Select Blinds. I debated on ordering shades for our double doors and back door as they needed to be 84 inches long. One of the shades ended up falling off of the roller, as they did not roll up easily. I called customer service and asked if I could get roller shades with the chain for easier lifting up and down. I explained our troubles to Hayley and she was able to get everything reordered for us with the pull chain. Thank you for great customer service! I have 2 more rooms that need shades and I will be using Select Blinds for them.

We ordered almost a $1000 in blinds on 05/22 so that they would arrive around time we closed on our new home 06/03. On 05/24 we receive email blinds are in production. On 05/28 we receive email that the blinds are now on back order and will not be back till 06/19. They would still have to be made and then another week for delivery. Called customer service and got no help. Advised me we could cancel the order, did not even care.

We ordered three pricey "blackout shades" ($850 for the three, but we were willing to splurge for what we thought was a good product in colors we liked - boy, were we wrong!). I tried to post a negative review on Select Blinds' website but it wasn't allowed to go through, so here it is. These are supposed to be "blackout" shades, blocking out almost all light (up to 99%, based on the product description). What a joke. We opted for an "outside mount," for various reasons, including the fact that with an inside mount, some light will invariably get through unless there's something to block out the edges (and our windows did not have the required clearance to accommodate the product Select Blinds offers that has this feature). We measured and added the recommended 4" to the width of the window.
Long story short, these shades have a design flaw in that the pleated shade hangs so far away from the window (because of the mounting hardware and the location from which the shades comes down from the hardware) that so much light is let in that's it's completely ineffective as a shade, much less a blackout shade.
We contacted customer service about this design flaw and were first told we must have measured wrong (we did not) and were then made the offer to purchase a different product at a discount. Select Blinds will not offer a refund on these mediocre shades. Why on earth would I ever order from them again? Although we love the color choices, if a window covering that's supposed to block out light doesn't actually do so, that's a problem and Select Blinds needs to own that problem for people who expect products to work as advertised.
I decided to file a complaint with my credit card company for receiving merchandise that was not as advertised. Select Blinds is fighting me and refuses to do anything other than offer a different product at a reduced price. Like I'm going to give them more of my hard-earned money! So, my advice is to stay away from this company, unless you're OK with receiving products that don't work as advertised/expected.

We replaced our old tired window coverings with a clean snow white miniblind and they look great. I forgot about the guest bathroom and called SB to place the order. The blind that arrived was different, so I spoke to HayLee who quickly saw that a mistake had been made due the blind brand being slightly different, but she took care of it and the correct one has been reordered and at no additional expense to me - Thank You HayLee and Select Blinds!

I have successfully ordered blinds for my home 3 times previously, but I couldn't remember which company I used. I mistakenly believed that one online blinds company is as good as the next, so I went with this one. I needed blinds for two different sets of windows, and each of them needed to be split into two blinds to accommodate the window air conditioner units. I should have known from my initial attempt at using their website that it was not going to end well. There were several drop-down menus, and after I would get the page completed and try to move on to the next page, all the choices I made previously reset to defaults.
After several attempts, I thought I had ordered what I needed. The delivery time was longer than my past experiences with other companies, too, but I figured it wouldn't matter once I got them installed. When they finally came, they were two very long, single blinds, not the double sets I ordered. I contacted the company, and the only solution they offered was for me to buy more blinds from them! Now I am out $300, and I still have no window coverings. Do not fall for their claim on their website: "The most reviewed, highest rated blinds in America. Your satisfaction is guaranteed with our custom blinds and shades." This guarantee certainly didn't apply to me. I have learned my lesson, and will go back to blinds.com from now on.

They say it's "satisfaction guaranteed" which is a complete lie and false advertising. I purchased this blind for $50 on sale. It was a piece of junk. When I complained, they made me send pictures which showed what low quality it is and how it would be mounted over an inch from the wall. They said "too bad. It's perfect." There is NO RETURN policy. BEWARE of this cheap company.

I ordered several custom blinds for a room I was redoing and two of the blinds were for skylight windows. The initial order was fast and easy and delivered to my doorstep within a very reasonable period of time. After installing the blinds I realized that the skylight blinds were the correct measurements but not all the hardware for holding the blinds against the skylight had been included in the original shipment. When I called Select Blinds they were very attentive and I ended up working with Haley and her manager Brady who bent over backwards to quickly correct the issue. I would certainly recommend Select Blinds for their great products and outstanding customer service.

We are appalled by the quality of the blind we ordered. There is a full-length, very visible seam running through the blind right at eye level which has holes in it!! I have never ever seen blinds that poorly done. I could have done a better job patching 2 pieces of fabric myself. And if that's what I wanted to do, I sure wouldn't have gone the "custom" way paid over CAD 200. Customer Service response? "And just to mention that it is clearly written on the website that there is a seam on all blinds of 72" and above." No responsibility at all for how badly the product turned out, no talk of offering anything. Absolutely disgraceful.

Blinds were ordered on April 22, 2019. Credit card was charged on April 23, 2019. Product delivered to Ithaca NY rather than Gettysburg PA. Contacted customer service. They were absolutely no help. They said, "They would try to locate product if possible." Requested an immediate refund of credit card charge and was given run around by customer service rep. Asked to speak to Supervisor and was told that there were none available. Customer rep immediately began with discount on next purchase. After all, the charge on my credit card was incurred 16 days ago. Will never do business with Select Blinds again. Going to file complaint with Better Business Bureau.

I ordered 7 blinds all the same size, put blinds up and found I had made a mistake on the measurements of 2 windows. Called Customer service spoke with Haley and ordered 2 new blinds at a 50% discount. The blinds look wonderful and were easy to install. The good thing is I can use the 2 blind I mismeasured in another room. Company is very easy to work with and good quality. Haley was amazing!

I called the company to say the blinds smell horrible and the woman asked me what it smelled like. I told her it smelled like a skunk and she said that was terrible to maybe wash them with tomato juice but that you really wouldn’t want to do that to a new product. She said she would get back to me later that day and was sure that after review they would send me a replacement. The next day no response so I called again and the guy said he would put a rush on my claim. Then today at 7:00pm at night I receive an email saying that the smell would go away and they could not help me.
I now have to go out and buy new blinds because the smell is in my bedroom and I am unable to sleep with the smell. Mind you when I first called I told them we received the package and that it was open for 2 weeks before hanging. I waited a few days hoping the smell would disappear. I wish I would have gone to Wayfair. Their customer Service is excellent. I will be sure to tell everyone I know to stay clear of Select Blinds.

Do not waste your time or money on this company or their products. I had issues from the start and should have just canceled the order. First the day I was supposed to received my blinds I got an email that the color I picked was on back order. This was over a week after I ordered them and their tracking said it was in production. Then when I requested a callback with more details, I never received one. I had to call back. I decided to change the color to one that was in stock even after all that to my own stupidity. Then my order still told me it was on back order until April 19th even after changing it. I finally get the blinds and they are scratched, dented and the faux wood part of the blinds are splintered from the saw or device they use to cut it. I contact customer service and explain what happens and first I am told I could not be called back because the supposed manager was chatting with me and multiple customers.
I finally get a call the next day from a manager explain what happen. They asked if I had pictures, I said of course I do. I was told I would get a credit after they emailed the pictures to the production team and I would hear back from them no later than the next day. I just now received an email almost a week later asking me for more pictures and if I would send them back for inspection. The reason why it took so long to get back to me was because the manager I was speaking with was off the next day from the first time I spoke to her even though she said she would contact me for sure the next morning. This place is a JOKE! Oh, and did I mention that I order 11 sets of blinds and not one of them came with the wand on top of being damaged. DO WASTE OUR TIME OR MONEY, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE, I STILL HAVEN'T GOTTEN MY MONEY BACK. I would give them no stars if I could.

They subtract from what you think is the exact measurement. And when you call them to tell them it's wrong they tell you that they subtract 1 3/4 inches for an inside mount but they will make you a new set at "a substantial discount." The product is nice but I am not planning on EVER using them again.

Do not make the mistake of dealing with this company, spend a few extra bucks and have a professional do your blinds. No matter how much we tried explaining them what we needed and the actual measurements of the windows and/or frames nothing fit and everything is your fault unless you're a lawyer. You can forget about getting any help from their service department unless you can weeks for an answer. If you want to spend thousands of dollars to have blinds that don't fit and look horrible, do not consider using Selectblinds.com for anything!!!

I purchased cordless top-down, bottom-up cellular shades for my new home. In less than five years, I have had to replace every single shade! The cordless mechanism broke for each one, preventing the shade from lifting. In some cases, the cords snapped completely and had to be thrown away. I would strongly discourage anyone from purchasing this type of shade from SelectBlinds.com.

I bought a new home and had Select Blinds do all the 17 windows of blinds. I had an issue to 3 of the blinds. 2 of the blinds had to be recut due to the windows being renovated and one of the blinds had to be recut because the cutting room cut it too short by 9 inches. Both times customer service was exemplary. The first time they gave us a deep discount on the replacements that were not their fault and replaced the error on their part with a simple photo of the blind showing the shortage. The product is beautiful. Would recommend this company without hesitation to anyone looking for custom blinds!

The first blind that I received was not mine. It was someone else's order. The second order that I received was 1/4 of an inch smaller than it was supposed to be. They advised me to take a picture with a measuring tape to show the difference, which I did. They then emailed me back and said it was within their 1/8 inch tolerance and was made correctly. 1/4 inch is definitely more than 1/8 inch, and it clearly showed on the tape measure. I cannot even put it in my window because there is a gap around the whole arch and they sent me the wrong clips. I called, waited on hold, they said I needed to speak to an arch specialist, and one would call me back. It has now been two weeks with no call. This place is terrible. I paid $107 for a blind that would have a 1/4 inch gap all around the outside, if I could hang it up, which I cannot because they sent me the wrong hardware. Still waiting on hold.

I ordered the Designer Vertical Blinds (Tahoe Nutmeg). I did not open the blinds when they arrived. I waited until the room was painted, new flooring and countertops were completed on March 25, 2019. Like scales in the bathroom tape measures don’t lie. With that being said the wife tried to help and measured a little off 3” or so. “Story of my life” So in order to fix the problem I had to make a petty call and beg to get this fix. No begging needed! I was asked for the new correct measurements and was read back to ensure correctness of said measurements. Select Blinds website was easy to navigate with helpful product information. Friendly, helpful staff, easy order over phone. Photos and videos came in handy for choosing the right blinds for our master bath. Free sample orders came in a nice envelope, along with a cover letter noting my sample orders. When it came time to place order, I called and was walked through the measurements numbers needed and placed my order. Simple as that! Would highly recommend!

I have ordered many blinds from Select Blinds over the years and have always been satisfied with the quality of the product and the friendly customer service I have received. When we purchased our first home in December, I was excited to replace the wood blinds with the cell shades I had previously purchased in the past. In order to ensure that I received the same product I had previously purchased, I pulled up the order confirmation email from my last order (July 2017) and clicked on the link for the item I wanted to purchase. This link connected to an active product listing on Select Blinds, which looked to be the same item I had previously purchased, albeit with a different name and a refreshed color palette. When the blinds arrived I was shocked to find out that the product was entirely different, and of significantly lower quality than what I was expecting. The nice, wide headrails are now a thin, cheap looking metal, the fabric itself looks like paper, and the tracking mechanism struggles to raise the shades in either direction.
I contacted their customer service, and they offered me a significant discount on a more expensive set of blinds to replace these. I ordered samples of the “nicer” blinds and the fabric is the same low quality as what I currently have. I told them that I just wanted a refund and will not be reordering from them because of these quality issues, and they have refused to refund my order, stating that the blinds were manufactured correctly. I told them my issue is not with the manufacturing, but with the fact that I followed a link from a previous order to this crappy product, so I blame sales and marketing. Anyway, long story short: buyer beware. This company no longer distributes products of quality and their customer service is even worse.

I ordered 4 sets of blinds and didn’t order them long enough. I purchased new blinds from them to replace the ones that were too short and gave the short ones to some friends. When they tried to install them, one of the blinds in an unopened box had a broken string. When I contacted customer service I was told that the short blinds were no longer under warranty since I ordered replacement blinds, even though it arrived broken in the box.

On December 31st I decided to place an order for six blinds for two bedrooms of our new home. Following the how to measure video and after reading the description carefully on how to measure the blinds, they arrived 2-3 weeks later. Upon installation, I realized the handle on our windows were not compatible for the blinds as the blinds would not cover the handle leaving a huge gap for the window, letting in a tremendous amount of light.
I first called customer service and then was transferred and “accidentally” hung up on, so I decided to use the virtual chatting feature where I was told to buy new hardware for my windows for the blinds to fit. I emailed immediately after and decided to call where I spoke to a nice woman who I then worked with for almost two hours. She then advised me to buy a broader shade to cover the window and to go over the hardware. After an initial protest, I decided to go this route. She stayed on the phone with me as I measured the window and advised me on the proper size. When they arrived, I was excited to put them up and realized they were too wide for the window and would not install as they were on the wall, too wide for the window frame. I want a full refund. I will send back the blinds. This situation has been going on for over two months, and I would like to move on. Please advise next steps.

This is the second order I have placed with Select Blinds in a couple of years. We live in Northern NH and it gets plenty cold. We ordered the double cell light filtering shades from Select Blinds for our large picture windows. I measured as directed and they came to us in perfect shape and fit great. They have a click button on the bottom of the shade that allows us to raise and lower without strings or hassles. It has worked perfect over the 2+ years with no problems. We decided to do the rest of our windows after these have been in place for a while. All the blinds came well wrapped and in great shape. Good thing as the bonehead who delivered them could not make it up our driveway and left them in the snow!!! Idiot.
We were expecting the shipment so we found them in short order and were well protected. I was upset at delivery though. Anyway they all fit perfect and are easy to install with simple push and click brackets. Alexis helped online to give us additional discounts above what was online. Don't know if that was because we were a repeat customer or not. Shades are warm, house is warmer, looks beautiful and well worth it. Alexis was great with customer service and the company has not disappointed us at all. Worth it in our opinion. Free samples with color swatches as well.

I ordered "top-down-bottom-up" cellular shades in 2017 for six windows in my home. They were great quality and easy to install. I still love them. Fast forward to 2018 and I ordered the same blind (and paid more for them) for 8 windows. They arrived and I installed them. The quality of these blinds is so low. The lift mechanism is barely strong enough to lift the blinds, and they sag unevenly at the top. They shift back and forth as you raise or lower them and you have to even them out after you get them to the height you want. I'm not talking about a centimeter. If you raise them with the single handle in the center one side is often 4 inches higher than the other by the time you raise them 3 feet. Believe me when I tell you the quality is terrible now. So sad!
I tried to work with their customer service department and the woman I spoke to was bordering on combative. She informed me that they were NOT the same blinds I ordered before because in early 2018 they began using a different lift mechanism. Nothing on their site indicates that the blinds have changed. They have the same model name as they had before. She told me to submit photos of the blinds to describe what I was talking about. I did, and was then told that I needed to ship the blinds back to them, then they would send them to the factory, and the factory would decide whether they were defective or not. If they were defective, they would credit me toward more Select Blinds.
First of all, I'm sure the factory would not find them defective because they "technically" do what they're supposed to - they go up and down. Second of all, if they somehow did offer credit toward other blinds, why would I order more terrible blinds from them? Bottom Line: What was once a great company offering great custom made shades is now a low-quality money mill. The shades are shady.

My wife ordered blinds and we measured the windows as described. We ordered 29.5 width blinds because of how we wanted them to sit. We were sent 29w blinds and told they deduct a half inch. Now the blinds won’t reach and customer service is telling us we can’t send them back, but we can buy more for $70+. The company is out to rip people off by charging them for items they didn’t order and the customer service representative was more worried about how rude she could be than helping my wife. This company could go under and the customer service rep who spoke down to my wife could starve on the streets and I would not bat an eye.

The shades are absolute garbage. I ordered blackout shades and they are definitely not blackout shades. The fabric lets a lot of light through. The brackets they sent with the shades are garbage, basically everything about these shades are junk. Their website says 100% satisfaction guaranteed, but that is not the case. After speaking with them and telling them how displeased I was with the product their solution was for me to buy new shades from them at a discounted rate. I can't say enough bad things about this company. Now I am stuck with 450$ worth of unusable garbage.

Please do not buy from here. I do not usually write reviews and I am very disappointed I have to write a negative one. They praise that they give 100% customer satisfaction when that can’t be more from the truth. What would 100% satisfy this customer would be cutting the blinds exactly how the customer orders it. I measured exactly how I was suppose to and even measured twice and had a second person measure just to make sure I was correct because on the website it stated for inside mount to be exact. I was very excited to order because the blinds I have now are cheap metal ones. Our order arrived and my husband and I opened the boxes and we’re going to install them and they were shorter than what I ordered. 1/2 inch to be exact. I emailed them with pictures and they said they did it right because they do a deduction of 1/2 inch.
I am not sure why they stress measure exact and then do the deduction. To me that is ridiculous!! If a customer wants a specific measurement give them that specific measurement and do not take matters in your own hands and deduct more from the measurement. Your customer has already done that for you. I can see if you were 1/8 inch off but a 1/2 inch is just awful! Customized blinds is what the customer wants not what the company feels they should have. I will be sure to let anyone I know about this and to not order from them. I know they are most certainly going to review this and just send me a generic "I’m sorry" and "Please call us" message or they not just ignore this review altogether because I am just 1 customer. Again I am sorry for any potential customers reading this as I may sound a little harsh, but I just want to save you from the hassle that many others have already had to deal with.

Initially made purchase for 2 vinyl roller blinds and 2 solar blinds to fit a 120” opening with bifolding door. Upon receipt and installation of the product, it was discover that a visible seam when the blind is rolled down. Apparently, there are 2 fabrics are sew together. There is a visible seam when rolled down. I called their customer service with pictures sent requesting a refund and hope to reorder the solar blind instead as it is unacceptable the way it is. After 2 days, their customer didn’t get back to me.
I called again to get an update. Then I was told that it is the way it is and it is stated on their webpage as the seam is hidden when over certain length as warning. However it is nowhere close to hidden and it is very visible. They refused for a refund and gave me a 50% off if I purchase another set from them. I think this is unfair practice and not acceptable and product not according to the spec. I would expect the warning should be part of the purchase process such that it is upfront and earning is noted to the buyer. Made 2 purchases from Select Blinds to outfit an entire home. First pass was normal blinds on many windows for which the pricing and color selection from Select Blinds was difficult to beat. I installed them fine and follow-up support was great especially when a couple of blinds wouldn't retract as easily as the others, and getting replacements under warranty was fairly painless.
Second purchase was more involved since it was motorized blinds in large sizes to completely cover a large patio door. We wanted additional options that Select Blinds didn't show on their website and actually no other online seller showed completely. We did a lot of research and ended-up reaching out directly to the OEM (manufacturer) of the blinds to determine which options would work best together and heard from a support supervisor there that out of the different online vendors who sell their product, Select Blinds was a consistent customer favorite for a variety of reasons. That made the decision even easier and I worked with Dustin at Select Blinds to get our dream motorized blinds ordered.
The OEM had some quality control issues initially but Dustin was really an advocate for the customer (us) to make things right, so things took a bit of time with back and forth with the OEM but the outcome was very positive thanks to Dustin and our persistence. Definitely shop around, but the prices and service seem hard to beat unless you aren't very DIY and need measurement and installation done for you more locally. If you are not afraid of DIY, they have great install help documentation and videos on their website just as most other window coverings online companies have.

We bought cordless blackout blinds for our upstairs bedrooms. The springs started to snap after about a year. Select Blinds said they were under warranty for 2 years and replaced the broken blinds. Now the blinds that were replaced are starting to break. We have lived in our house for 3 1/2 years and are on our 3rd blind. This has happened to 6 blinds. These blinds should have more than a year lifespan. Very cheap product!!!

Placed first order 10/29/18, 3 Blinds under 1 headrail came with no mounting hardware but perfect fit. Second order 11/23 one piece no longer offered. 3 separate pieces, so sizes changed. The valance size was wrong 3 times. Finally received last piece 1/5/19. Could never get contact management, if any exist.

Great 2” cellular shades, faulty brackets - Here are the PROS: great website, very easy and intuitive online ordering process, helpful representatives, shades were good quality for the price. Now the CONS: The brackets plain and simple DID NOT WORK. They were the wrong size! I did not want to send the 16 shades back, so I searched the web. I found a video where a gentleman figured out how to make them work. You take your Dremel and shave off parts of the metal hook. Once you file the hook down a little, they actually work as described. This was a hassle and I was lucky to have the tools. What a shame!

I ordered one sheer shade as a test and it turned out great. So I proceeded to order 6 more, worth $3099.56, which also includes the most expensive 5 year warranty. When I installed the blinds, there were inconsistencies in the product and quality problems. 1) The shades in some cases rub against the plastic limiters. I did not complain about this. 2) The largest blind that was close to 120 inches in width has very obvious manufacturing defects. But the company nevertheless packed it and shipped it. Image attached. 3) The inserts at the front of the headboard of all the blinds started peeling within hours of installation. (I have attached some images) I complained about it and so they sent me new inserts but with no instructions. When I asked for instructions, I was told there are no instructions. So what happens when I peel off the insert? What if it is glued? How do I put the new inserts in accurately?
I have been sending emails back and forth for the last month and a half. I have also sent images and reported the problems promptly in every case. And every time, I get a polite, boilerplate email. And then some new CSR handles my case. The company has not bothered to assign a dedicated CSR for this. This company just gives polite lip service and plays stalling tactics. They think that if they stall, the customer will just get tired and give up. I am very close to lodging a case with my credit card company and with the FTC.

I ordered these blinds a few weeks ago and took the time while on vacation to actually put them up to rid the old annoying ones I have. I have to say I am completely dissatisfied with this product. First and foremost I ordered the size of my windows which is about 21x48, which runs a lot smaller in by Select Blinds than any other company I have shopped around for in the past. The brackets are difficult to install in ordered to clip blinds in. I have a 3-year-old and do not want her wandering near the window and blinds come falling down on her. I have supplied myself with all the necessary tools and nothing worked. I spoke to a representative this past week and was not given any helpful information in installing, I did research, Google it. You name it. I have tried it. I waited all this time for these blinds and for the price, and am very disappointed with the end result. This has been the worst 2 weeks ever.

I ordered new blind for our Arcadia door. We just moved into the house of our dreams and wanted to get a nice set of blinds for the door. I carefully measured the dimensions as the website says too more than a few times. We received our order and I hired a professional to install them. First issue was that no hardware was sent to mount them. Then upon measuring them found they were 2" shorter than what I ordered. I called customer service and the person was less than helpful and stated he could give me a 20.00 credit. Seriously, I paid well over 200.00 for these and still had to go through Home Depot and buy a separate head rail just for the mounts. I told customer service that I planned on returning them and was told that is not a option. I plan on contacting my bank Monday morning with my complaint. I also filed a complaint with BBB. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere.

I ordered three blinds from Select Blinds. Two were fine, although the slats to attach the corners to the valence were made incorrectly (they slide off) but I am not using them so it doesn't matter. The other blind however is the wrong color. I ordered their color samples ahead of time and it is clear that they made the blind it the wrong color. My frustration is with their customer service. I called and was told to send a picture - when I explained it is difficult to see by picture they told me to send it anyway. I did and was told I would hear in 24-48 hrs, it took 48 hrs. They said the picture was not clear, could I retake it? I called back and was told the same thing, even though this is clearly their mistake. I asked to speak to a supervisor, again I was told someone would be in touch between 24-48 hours.

I purchased a custom large blind for my bedroom. It was cordless. I got a notification that my order was delayed by two weeks. I was okay with it since it was for the new home I was closing on later that month, so I would not need it until I moved in. I received my order, it set in the box until I moved to my new home. I installed the blind only to find out that it was defective. For a cordless blind it should be closed by pushing up on the middle of the bottom upward. It barely closed but one side was much higher than other. Something was wrong with the internal cords. I contacted customer service, was asked to submit pictures for review. I emailed them pictures, I was told that the review process takes up to two days. I waited, no email/calls. I left the country for two weeks and thought it would be fine to give them two weeks and follow up when I got back. I emailed twice to follow up. No reply.
Another week passed, I called them. I was told that they already re-made them and shipped them. Nobody told me that they would be doing that, no tracking was provided until I asked them for it. I showed my old address, I called back and explained that if someone would bother to reply to any of my followups then I would tell them to ship it to my new address. They told me that they will remake the blind again, but it will take a very long time due to holidays... Last time it took them 3 weeks to make them plus the shipping time.
At that point, I asked for a refund. They only gave me 75% refund because they remade the blinds (without telling me that that was the plan). The moral of the story... If you are buying from them prepare to wait a long time to get a product and when you get it might be defective. If you expect them to fix the issue... It will take up to a month or you'll only get a partial refund but ONLY if it is within the 90-day window after purchase. They will not answer your follow up emails, you have to call them and be on hold for a bit to get to talk to anyone. It takes much less stress to go to Lowe's or Home Depot. Very disappointed in their lack of communication and the partial refund due to their own mistake. If only they have bothered to tell me what was going on on their end.

I ordered a set of blinds as a Christmas gift on December 11th. The website said the blinds will ship in 1 to 5 days. Today is December 19th, and I called customer service and they informed me the shipping date is 1 to 5 days after production. So now my shipping date is December 21st and the item will not be here by Christmas. I asked to cancel the order and they informed me that the order could not be canceled. So now I will dispute it with Visa. I see why this company has so many bad reviews.

I ordered blinds from them before and got amazing up down blinds but now I ordered 3 more and got terrible knockoff blinds. They don't go up and down level, they don't hang level, they tilt down, handles look terrible and don't stay on the blinds. They keep falling off when trying to slide it up and down. And just look terribly cheap compared to previous ones. They had to change something or trying to save money with cheaper ones and they are terrible. I sent them so many pictures even of the great blinds I got before to show the difference. They said they won't refund my money. Even though it says satisfaction guaranteed!!! They told me to go to hardware shop and buy some weights so it doesn't tilt... I'm sending them back to this company this weekend.

I ordered cordless blinds. Select Blinds informed me that they are not able to provide a cordless blind option. When I requested my money back so that I could order the blind I wanted from elsewhere, they refused! They still have my money months later. They offered to exchange my blinds for a different blind, but couldn't provide cordless as I ordered it. I've finally ordered the blind I need from elsewhere, but feel strongly that Select Blinds is not ethical. Do not trust your money with them.

I ordered blinds for a brand new constructed house over eight years ago. The house is in the mountains of Colorado. So, I don’t remember how much I spent. The total was for a 3800 square foot house. Select Blinds did come out as the least expensive company to buy for at the time. The quality of the blinds' hardware is terrible. I bought honeycomb up & down blinds. The pulls fell apart soon after installing. I had to tape them together so it wouldn’t be constant. Half the blinds in my house do not stay open because the mechanism to hold them up, does not engage anymore. The string they use to pull the blinds up or down are thin and have worn and broke.
When I called the company if they had a repair kit to fix it, they didn’t and offered to replace the broken one at a discounted rate. I would have taken them up on it, if it weren’t for the fact that half the blinds in my house are broken. The plastic pulls lately have been disintegrating. Overall, due to the quality of their hardware, I would pay a little more elsewhere for better quality blinds.

I have a vacation rental home and had some blinds destroyed by a dog. I am really hoping to get my blinds in before the winter break since I have guests coming then. Tyler went above and beyond in discussing the options with me and giving me the best chance to get my blinds replaced as soon as possible. His demeanor was great and he's a real asset to the company. I have a lot of other blinds in this home and the great customer service I've received regarding this order may mean that some of those blinds get replaced by ordering from this company. Bought $1900 worth of blinds, most of the blinds felt like they were cut little short, so when fully open, the pleats were flat. But the biggest issue is their customer service department, one of the blinds was missing the brackets, after making two phone calls, online chatting with their customer service and calling their 0029 extension, I still have not received my brackets, and it has been 6 months since my order. No wonder they throw in 3 and 5 years warranty with their orders, because you will are unlikely to get any customer support if you do need one. If Select Blinds is reading this, my order number is ** and I am missing brackets for premier cellular shades.

Select Blinds shipped us the wrong brackets on 1 out of 3 pieces of the same style of honeycomb shades. We called to get the correct bracket style shipped out. It took 12 days to get them out to us and... They were not the correct brackets. This has been disappointing twice now, and today when we called they are not able to confirm without doing 1-2 days of research that we would in fact be able to get correct replacements.
In doing our own research in about 15 minutes, we have found the correct piece this afternoon and will be working with a local blind dealer to get the correct parts at our own expense. What we thought was a good deal has wasted hours of Select Blind's time and ours. Please consider this as you are deciding where to buy your blinds.

Ordered 2" blinds at 38 inches long. They arrived and I installed. When extending the blinds to their full length the last two slats do not come apart, therefore is the blind not only unsightly but leaves a 2" gap above sill. I contacted customer service. Every time I sent a message I have to wait two days! They said go to live chat, not working. Ultimately they told me I ordered the wrong size and would give me a discount on next order. I offered to send them a video. If they had returned my E-mail I would of offered to pay return shipping for them to fix. I have 2 additional blinds on order with this company, keeping my fingers crossed!!

Upon moving into our dream home, we searched for window coverings. We met with 2 famous corporations, spent over 6hrs. Measuring, discussing and looking at samples. We knew what we wanted and after looking at many samples and styles, we still decided to go with our original choice. Ordered cordless mini blinds, put brackets on blinds with no problem to mark my windows. That was the easy part, installed mounting brackets to window and the blinds won’t snap into place. After many hours of frustration, multiple holes that need to be filled and repainting that needs to be done. Not to mention a gouge in the wall caused by them falling, all three blinds are sitting on the floor. I’ve been in contact with customer service, they seem to think the brackets were damaged in shipping. I really don’t think that is the case, I don’t think they are the right bracket, but I’m waiting now for new brackets. Fingers crossed, but not holding my breathe.

Blind took over two weeks to arrive following order. On installation, the blind was defective. I immediately reported the issue, and after a month it is still not resolved - first they claimed the product could not be defective, then I sent them photos and they claimed I had made a mistake on sizing (using their instructions), then I sent them a video and threatened a chargeback at which point they agreed to provide a replacement - after 10 more business days to produce it and another week to ship. Worse, they are now refusing to ship it to my home address in Canada, even though they initially said this would be no problem.
It's now been almost two months since the order was placed, I STILL have nothing in my windows, it's going to take at least another 2-3 weeks, and I will have to make a three hour drive to go pick them up. All because of a crappy defective foreign-made product they refuse to stand behind. Never again. Recommend everyone to place their blind orders at a real physical store, unless you like dealing with hour long phone waits, denied responsibility and weeks of waiting to solve a merchant's issues for them. Buy local!!!

I had minor issues with the website (probably human error). Called for help and very glad Cody picked up my call! She was able to pull my saved cart and make needed adjustments. I had previously gotten samples sent to me. When I started to order something anyway that I didn’t have a sample for Cody suggested putting it on hold and sent me a more samples. Two days later I was glad she did. I really didn’t care for the material I picked out.
She sent more and I found what I actually will be happy with. When I originally started looking I only thought of doing the kitchen window. But ended up deciding the prices were right and besides the kitchen I ordered Roman shades for the sliding glass doors in guest room, a hall window and my bedroom window! She kept my order on hold for over a week while I would get samples and decide on different details. When I was finally ready to order they had a better sale going and she gave me that sale price instead of the original one. She was such a delight to work with!

I purchased these roller blinds (Signature Vinyl Blackout Roller Shades) back in June 2018 and it is now November 2018. I've never been able to make them work. Locking mechanism is faulty and refuses to stay down or up. Trying to adjust the shade is impossible. I've tried lubricants and different tensions and overall probably invested 5-8hrs attempting to make it work. Currently is taped in place and will be throwing in the trash soon. Waste of $75 and a lot of frustration.

After ordering $1200 worth of double cell blinds for new rental property, we have not been able to hand the blinds due to faulty brackets. Please google the reviews on this company before ordering. You will see this is a known problem with their blinds yet they keep selling them. My husband is a very precise person and he has spent multiple hours trying to install these blinds. The brackets and the top rails are not with tolerances that allow easy installation or in our case no installation. While customer service reps have been courteous, we have received incorrect information and the additional brackets sent to us also do not work. WISH I HAD READ THE GOOGLE REVIEWS BEFORE PURCHASING!

I am a designer and placed an order for five window shades. I had my installer on site and he installed two of them when I stopped him because the shades were made so poorly. There were more than 1” gaps on each side of the shade which did not cover the window and the bottom rails were cut short so the ends of the hem folded back. They were so poorly made so I reached out to customer service. After many emails they offered a refund to my card and then they changed their offer and said they would not refund my purchase until I sent them all back for inspection.
I then paid my installer to remove the two that had been installed once again at my cost and shipped them back. I just heard from them and they said the shades are fine and since I did not open three of them they were not going to refund me for these defective shades. I guess they wanted me to install all of the defective shades and then remove them all. Select Blinds does not stand by their products and I highly recommend to use another company with better reviews, products and customer service: I am now out over $700 for the shades and the install, not to mention the loss of my time. Very disappointing and frustrating experience.

I ordered over $700 in shades and my husband and I spent hours trying to put these up only to find that the brackets to do not fit the blinds. After spending hours trying to hang the blinds and patching and painting the damage that was caused I contacted Select Blinds. I was told that they would be get back with me within a few days. I have called numerous times in 3 days only for them to tell me that it is out of their hands and they need to send the issue to another department. The customer service agent told me that this is a known issue and others have had the same problem. He suggested I get a different set of blinds but it would take several weeks. I told him I just want my money back. I never heard back from them as promised.
The following day after no response I called back and demanded to speak with a manager since no one else was able to solve the issue and was told I would be a high priority and someone would contact me. I did receive a call and missed that call. I have since tried to call back 3 times leaving 3 messages in five hours and no return call. I still have not received a return label, a return form, or a refund. This is unacceptable business practice. I paid for blinds that do not work and can't be hung. I simply want a return label to send them back along with a full refund. I don't understand the confusion. They did not follow through on their part and I am not satisfied with a product that does not work. They have had two full work days to process this return and I have heard nothing. I sent them photos 3 days ago of the blinds and the issue as requested. There is no reason I should not get my money back. This is not brain science!

We ordered an arched shade for a bedroom window from Select. Immediately during assembling the shade it was apparent there was an issue with the manufacture of the shade. I immediately contacted Select Blinds. They requested I take a few pictures and send them via email. Their “specialist” stated the blind was assembled improperly of course and sent assembly instructions via the email reply. The basic steps were exactly the same, so using the “new” instructions I reassembled the shade again. It is exactly the same way it was originally - a mess of uneven folds.
The only difference in assembly was instructions regarding the center cord, which turns out to have nothing to do with supporting the lower center of the cheaply made blind. It is a defective product right out of the box. I asked for either a replacement blind made properly or a refund at this point, letting them know that I had a high dollar mess of a blind in my window now. Their reply is that one of their specialists would contact me in “a few days” to review the installation. It’s not rocket science people! It’s time to honor your satisfaction guarantee by taking care of a faulty product right out of the box. All in all not a good experience and will never use them again.

I recently called and placed an order over the phone for 15 blinds. The agent was friendly and very patient with me during the entire process. I received the blinds earlier than expected which was great! Installation was fairly easy and I had no problems until I installed my only outside mount blind for my patio door. The blind was a little short to be secured under the glass. I called Select Blinds customer service and explained what happened. Brett was wonderful and had a new blind ordered for me to install. Select Blinds has excellent customer service which is rare to find these days. I will definitely recommend Select Blinds to anyone needing to purchase 1 blind or replacing an entire house like I did!

I purchased Select Double Cell Light Filtering Shades. I selected the "Top Down Bottom Up" shade. The website redirected us to the conventional option unbeknownst to me. When they arrived and I called to make the order right, I was told that the 100% satisfaction guarantee was only if the product was defective - not if there is a flaw in their website, if the shades are bad quality, or for any other reason that you would be dissatisfied. In essence, there is a 0% satisfaction guarantee. Please do not do business with these people. It will only make you sad and feel powerless.

I feel compelled to write this review to warn everyone about this company. Unfortunately I fell victim to disappointment just like a lot of other people did. Placed my order online and followed all their specific instructions about how to take measurements for each specific product. This is to take 3 measurements of the width of the window and round down to the shortest width to 1/8 of an inch.
I ordered faux wood blinds for my entire house and received all of them .75 of an inch shorter in width from what I ordered. So, after I already rounded down the size to fit my windows they rounded each one .75 of an inch more. Now all the windows are .75 of an inch shorter that they can barely stay on and they fall off. If I order a 46 inch in width blind I want a 46 inch blind, not 45.25… why would they tell you to round down and order the size you want and then they even do it more at their own opinion. I expected what I ordered!
I called customer service to report my findings. The person was apologetic but basically blames us for the short blinds even when I told them to read at their own website and check the instructions which I followed to place the order. Unbelievable! Then he suggested me to place a new order with the correct “same” measurements and he will make me a discount! Are you kidding me!!! Why do I have to reorder more blinds?!?? Just send me the specific size I ordered in the beginning not something that they think I should have ordered. It’s like ordering a large pizza and they send you a medium because they think it won’t fit in your stomach.
Brian was apologetic and said he would send me an email so that photos could be attached and a response would be forthcoming quickly. I did what was requested. I did receive an email rather quickly, but it was an autogenerated one that stated 24-48 hours for a proper response. My advice is for you to read some reviews and be your own judge if this company is worth the headache. Buy at Lowe's or Home Depot at least you know what you get is what it says in the box.

Placed my order online and followed the questions asked. I ordered Black liners (on drop down menu to select liner color it does NOT state they don’t make black but yet have as an option) and sent the shades with white liners. First they tell me... "We ONLY make shades with white liners". (They said you have to go to two pages over and read fine print. Then why have option colors on liners on order tab.) After many emails and phone discussions they can now make my order as I wanted from the beginning.
They offered to remake and send shades with black liners but with white/tan pull cords. How tacky would this look? I told them this is unacceptable and they could have the shades back and to credit my card for amount of wasted money spent. They refused and advise me I can have an in-store credit... Really... You can’t fulfill my order as I need so why would I need a credit with this company? BEWARE. Shop elsewhere!!! Disputed the charge and my Credit card company stood behind me after I sent ALL emails to them.

I feel compelled to write this review to warn others about this company. Unfortunately I didn't do my homework and have fallen victim to dissatisfaction. It has many low ratings as I've just discovered. Let me start by saying the online order process went smoothly. The email status notifications were timely. This brought hope to my wife as we waited for our arch shade to arrive. They arrived during the week rather quickly. About two weeks. I didn't open the package and waited for the weekend to install. I checked the hardware packing list and discovered that the wrong brackets were included. I called customer care to report my findings. The person was apologetic and ordered the correct brackets. They arrived 9 days later. Unbelievable.
The install was about to begin. I unpacked the arch only to discover that it was produced incorrectly according to their install instructions. Again I called customer care (lol). Brian was apologetic and said he would send me an email so that photos could be attached and a response would be forthcoming quickly. I did what was requested. I did receive an email rather quickly, but it was an auto generated one that stated 24-48 hours for a proper response. It was also was addressed to my email nickname (how funny). Folks I now understand the long hold times and the lengthy email correspondence as the so called customer care is quite busy resolving the many issues they must experiencing. My advice is for you to read some reviews and be your own judge if the discount is worth the aggravation.

After I ordered my blinds and was having difficulty getting status I started to worry and looking over the internet to see the experience others had with the company. I know, I should have done so prior to the order. But, it was too late for that. Anyway, I received my blinds right on the schedule that was provided when I ordered them, I just had trouble getting shipping status from the company. I received the blinds, they were just as ordered (I followed the directions on the site to obtain the measurements).
I installed them and they look great and seem to be a quality product. Only time will tell. So, I wanted to write a review to let others know that I had a positive experience with this company. Communication could have been better, but it would not prevent me from ordering again. I got large verticals (111 x 80) for $271 dollars shipped to my house. It was double that at local stores. I'm in Detroit, Michigan and do not work for nor have any relationship to the company. I simply wanted to write this because people seem quick to write bad reviews, but not good ones. I had ordered an entire house full of top down bottom up cellular blinds in 2013. The quality was fairly nice. I just ordered the same blinds in May 2018 and there is no quality. The are poorly made, they don't stay level, the hanging brackets are junk as are the pull tabs. Customer service is a JOKE. After waiting 2 hours for a callback you then have to send photos, wait a day to be told "no refunds, but a discount on your next order." Why would I reorder high priced junk. I am thoroughly disgusted at the waste of money. NEVER AGAIN.

A customer service manager got in touch with me and we worked out an agreement that they would replace the 2 blinds that were made incorrectly. It is too bad that it had to take a bad review to get them to admit their manufacturer made a mistake. I had ordered 12 blinds from them before and had no problems at all. They were perfect. The supervisor was REALLY NICE AND APOLOGETIC. Blinds arrived and were made correctly. Thank you, Brady at Select Blinds!

I ordered 10 custom wood blinds. 8 were cut correctly, while 1 was too long and 1 was too short. They asked for photos to be sent to them 3 different times and the photos took at least a half hour to do each time. These photos were sent each time and they still were not happy. I remeasured the blinds, counted the slats, and offered to send the blinds back. They refuse to admit they made a mistake. DO NOT GET ANYTHING FROM THEM! THEY WILL FIGHT YOU! THEY WILL NOT ADMIT THEIR MISTAKE!

We paid $250 for two custom Roman Shades, when we received them I found the mounting holes to be misaligned by a 1/4” meaning the shades would be crooked in the window. Customer service made me send them a picture, then told me they couldn't open a .jpg file so I had to resend them pictures. A week later I get a response that they have an error tolerance of 50 mm - that's nearly a 10% margin of error! When I told them that was unacceptable they suggested I try drilling new holes myself. So if you are happy with buying a custom product that is 10% out of spec and you have to finish building yourself this is the place for you! The only saving Grace was that we only ordered the 2 to try this company out. We bought the other 10 we needed at Pottery Barn, still too expensive but their holes were drilled straight.

Ordered a honeycomb blind and couldn't make sense of the installation instructions which were poorly drawn and very small. I had to use a magnifying glass and even then, the perspective was unclear. I looked for installation videos online but could only find something very generic which didn't help me understand in detail. To their credit, the customer service didn't abandon me and eventually, after I sent a photo via email, they determined that I was attempting to insert the bracket in the bottom of the blind assembly instead of the top. (It's not labeled anywhere TOP or BOTTOM - seems like that would be easy enough to do to make it easier for DIY homeowners.)
Now, I've finally got the blinds installed. It's not the original product that I wanted. They sent me a different product after my initial attempt to install failed - when instead they could've accurately diagnosed the problem and saved me and them much time and expense. Once when I called in during the middle of a weekday, their phone system was "offline" for about an hour. And then on a Saturday, I called and it said they were closed, when the hours on their website clearly indicated they should be open. I suspect I will be happy with their product in the long run, but disappointed that I had to spend so much time - half a dozen phone calls, several email, several hours fussing with crappy instructions - trying to get their product to work.

I had purchased 4 shades 4 years ago for my living room; a few days ago, 1 shade just completely fell apart with 7 different wholes throughout - there was nothing I could do to fix them… When I called Greg (very professional) and explained my dilemma, he informed me that the color beige was discontinued - I nearly had a heart attack thinking I now had to purchase 4 new ones - Greg stepped up to the plate and said he would check to see if there was any remaining beige in stock to make 1 - he indicated he would call me back in 24-48 hours and provide me with an update.
I just spoke with Greg and he was true to his word - it was 48 hours when he called me back to tell me they could make the shade… WHAT A TREMENDOUS EFFORT on the part of Greg and the Staff at Select Blinds… I cannot thank you enough! I ordered a shutter and blinds for our newly remodeled house. The kitchen shutter needs to be slightly bigger and the color doesn't look good with the cabinets in person. I called customer service and they told me because I didn't take out the special warranty they would not take the product back when their website clearly says 100 percent satisfaction. This is clearly a lie. DO NOT BUY from this company. They do not stand behind their guarantee/promise.

I almost never take the time to write a review but the customer service experience I had with Select Blinds was truly terrible enough to warrant it. My wife and I purchased over $1500 in window shades, excited by the 40% off sale. Not only did it take over 3 weeks to receive our order, we were shocked to find that the larger of the two shades had way more color variation than was represented in the sample (which we loved, and deliberately chose for its simplicity).
Upon calling and emailing Select Blinds we were told that the color was "correct" and they generously offered to "let us keep the items for $200". In short, the samples cannot be trusted. Shipping takes forever and customer service is horrendous, bordering on ridiculous. We will never order from Select Blinds again, nor refer them to anyone we know. For the record, we ordered new shades from a competitor and they were cheaper, better made, and matched the sample 100% - and we received them in 3 days.

I purchased 8 cellular shades from Select Blinds in November of 2014 to replace Graber cellular shades that I had for more than 20 years. The Grabers were still working but had faded and the color no longer matched my new color scheme. Of the 8 shades from Select Blinds, 4 of them have multiple rips across the ridges. Today, one of them broke off completely. These have been very gently used by me alone, raising them halfway in the morning and lowering at night. Two of them are rarely moved at all as they are on side windows yet numerous cells on them are ripped all the way across. I've called and left a message on your Customer Service Line and would appreciate a response.

I ordered wood blinds, cellular and a vertical cellular for my entire house. First, the wood blinds - none of the hang straight. They don't look bad when all the way down but when rising them to have a window open, they are all crooked. Also, with just opening and shutting, the paint has chipped and a few of the slats have cracked. Please note, I am extremely careful with them - this is NOT from abuse. I ordered the vertical slide over two months ago and after many phone calls (extremely long hold times), we finally got the proper hardware to hang it.
It is up, however, we have a piece of plastic hanging that no one can explain what to do with, what it is or how to correct it. We cannot get the shade to stay open due to this hanging component as it is prohibiting us from tightening the tension. Support sent us an installation video and it must be old because the video and the blind we received are different. I paid close to $800 for this shade and it has been a nightmare! I highly recommend using a local dealership and not deal with an on-line shade store. Or, at least, stay away from Select Blinds!
Updated on 08/31/2018: I previously wrote a review and a representative of Select Blinds responded asking for me to supply my order numbers and contact information. That was supplied via email immediately along with photographs of our issues. I have not received a response. My husband has called the representative and left a message twice and we have not received a return phone call. It is obvious that they have no interest in assisting us or at a loss to help us so are ignoring our calls and emails. I have spent $2,386.57 in the past several months with Select Blinds and I can without a doubt warn you to stay away from this company. Our wood blinds all hang unevenly, which I have contacted them about and again received no response.

We ordered an entire house full of blinds from Select Blinds two years ago. We had several that came with the buttons that are supposed to release the blinds down that didn't work. No problem, they sent replacements. Recently, we had one that had warped. They asked for photos which we supplied. The replacement blind arrived but the button doesn't work. Sigh. I contacted them and now they want a video. Seriously? This is a rental that we own and is out of town. I feel Select Blinds should send the replacement as they sent out a faulty blind and should not make us jump through all sorts of hoops to make that happen. They will make your life very difficult if you push them to honor their guarantee. I will not work with them ever again. Their products are junk besides. We've had problems with over half the blinds we ordered. Such a total headache.

The people on the chat lie. They tell you that someone will call you back and they never call back. If you call, they say to enter your phone number and they will call you back, no way. If you call and press '4' you are put in a dead pool where you are never answered. THEY ARE THE WORST ECOMMERCE COMPANY EVER! Stay away, you be glad you did.

Friendly service. The sales rep was knowledgeable over the phone and prices could not be beat by anyone! Free samples for indecisive customers like myself. I ordered cellular shades for all four of my upstairs windows to help reduce the heat in my rooms during Las Vegas summers.

We placed an order for 8 total inside mount blinds (2 blackout /6 wooden Blinds) through the selectblinds.com site. Total order was +$700. The blinds shipped quickly, however once received, 4 of the 6 wooden blinds were damaged in shipping! My wife called Customer Service who told us to submit pictures of the damaged products, which once received and verified, would allow them to go into production of replacements, and we should hold on to the damaged units for an indefinite amount of time, TBD at a later date. We don't have a large house, and the boxes took up a lot of space, so this was an inconvenience, but not the worst thing, so I let it be and wanted to be done with the experience.
Not to mention that all of this was happening days before we went on vacation for a week, and had the products come then and we didn't file a complaint in X amount of days, they wouldn't honor it...what if the products were received while we were away?!! Several days later and after another phone call or two to check status, we received only 2 of the 4 damaged blinds, so I called to inquire and was told they didn't know they needed to replace all 4 although they had pictures and a filed complaint on all 4, but then the guy I was speaking to put me on hold and spoke with the first person my wife connected with and acknowledged the need for the additional 2 replacement units; I was told production would have to wait an additional 7-10 business days, so it's now been over a month since my first order, and I don't have everything I purchased.
Re shipping: although the product was shipped in a long box (shape and opening function similar to a tin foil box you'd buy at the grocery store) it only had thin pieces of packing tape securing the sides together (see images)! Not very secure! During the call to inquire about the (still) missing 2 units, I made reference to the shipping and asked for a courtesy discount for my issues to date only to be told that the shipping damage wasn't their problem (again, 3 pieces of tape to seal the box shut), and if wanted to be compensated for the delays that I should, 'call FedEx'. I felt like they already had my money, so why do they need to do anything to make me happy after the fact? If you read some of the other complaints below, I'm not the only one who has been treated this way.
There were a few other issues I addressed with them regarding fit and finish of the valances, and again I was told it was my problem and I had to spend more money to fix it. I've ordered from Select Blinds and blinds.com in the past, and spoken with both during my most recent order process and I have to say, blinds.com has a much better customer experience, and I will NEVER use Select Blinds again even if they are a better price.

On top of that some of the blinds have wrinkles in them and were shipped in a box that looks like it has been used numerous times. I called customer service and they were extremely condescending. She took about 20 minutes to tell me how I made this mistake and basically called me ignorant. I did not appreciate being talked down to. Customer service had a final solution to charge me $300 if I wanted to exchange the wrong blinds for the correct ones. The funny part was she told me she was doing me a favor of charging me that instead of $500. I am glad I only did my downstairs because I have 15 more windows needing blinds and I will not be going through this company.

Purchased blinds after being referred by a family member. Purchased 10 blinds for every window in our household in December 2014. It is now July 2018 and my husband has been in contact with this company about this issue. The cords used are fraying, these blinds are just shy over 3 years old. Poor quality. We have other blinds in our household that were a heck of a lot cheaper and they have lasted the 7 years we have lived here. Had trouble in the beginning with our order being filled, one window blind had to be sent back because of their error and trying to get a replacement back then was a nightmare.
Now we were told after contacting them we would hear back from someone about a possible replacement for the two blinds out of the 8 that have fraying cords. That was 8 days ago. No follow up, nothing. No replacements sent. They offer a "limited 3 year warranty". Now I know why. I guess if they truly stood by their product they would be offering something more than a limited warranty. Let's see how the other 8 last, once they go, I can promise you there will never be another product in my house from Select Blinds again. The second blind broke tonight, 8 days from the day this company was told about the first one. Do yourselves a favor, take your business elsewhere unless they have a QC department that can answer questions and guarantee their product it isn't worth your time. Pricey, for poor quality.

Don't get too excited about the huge discounts they advertise. These are basically jacked up prices with huge discounts applied just to get the product back to the same price as most of their online competitors selling generic brand blinds and shades. At first I was quite excited to see the discounts myself, but here's how their sales process goes down: Fill out a large order online, but think about it for a day while the fabric materials arrive for you to evaluate. We were ordering 25 shades with full home automation, so a fairly large order. The next day wake up and realize your "sale price" has changed dramatically as their "24 hour rush deals" expire and a new deal is applied. By dramatically I mean 2-3K overnight increases.
Then expect an email from a sales rep most likely working on commission that gives you a better offer. Similar to a used car salesman, when you indicate you still need to think about it and the price is a bit higher than you expected compared to competitors etc the sales rep claims to go talk to their manager and comes back with a few extra savings and bumps up the standard 3yr warranty to a 5yr warranty for free. OOOH now we're talking, this is looking good... they keep lowering their prices and throwing in extra free stuff. So basically, don't trust your initial online quote as it's not even close to their best pricing.
Think about it, get ready to pull the trigger on the order and then realize they have an additional coupon section to apply to your order at checkout. Google some coupon codes for extra savings and wow, now my price looks really good. Keep in mind there are literally 100's of various coupon codes out there for this site. So I tried nearly every combination possible to get the best price I could. Some would apply to the order and others would indicate this code cannot be applied to this order.
When I finally settled on the best combo of discounts I could get and that applied to my ordered, I searched the site high and low regarding the coupon codes and it basically said, "If you see a price you like, you should buy right away because we can only guarantee pricing for 24 hours as the market is highly competitive." And this is very true... if you wait more than 24 hours your price will start to climb up again and a sales rep will call or email you back with a "better price".
So my sales rep was in my order as I am applying the discounts apparently, because at this same time I got another message that said he thinks he can meet my price expectations and provide additional bonuses, but these can ONLY be applied if I called him directly and placed the order over the phone. Shady business. Realize your sales rep was serious, because they deleted ALL of your discount codes in your cart and blocked your ability to get the "daily deals" any longer. Have your wife create an account and put in the exact same order with the exact same discounts and place the order. Get a call from Select Blinds claiming you're trying to scam them by googling coupon codes. Explain the details and get a message that they will call back later.
Get the call back and they indicate the order is on-hold and they have applied an additional $4k balance to the price we had already paid. When asking why, they said, "System was broken and you shouldn't have been able to get all of those coupon codes." OK so where does it say I cannot stack these codes, in fact I looked and your site says, "Get as many as you can as fast as you can." "Yeah, sorry our system was wrong. We are going to fix it. But in the meantime, you owe us another 4K before we ship your order." "Where's the 4K extra coming from?" "Oh well that was the last price our commission based sales rep was going to give you..."
Cancel order and go to any one of the other 100's of online blind suppliers that don't have shady commission based sales tactics, and as it turns out had better fabric choices and were more competitively priced. So in short, don't fall in love with the initial jubilation of saving thousands of dollars on your blinds. It's a simple sales trick. Make sure you shop around. Their sales reps here must be on commission as they don't give best price online anyway and will follow up with a "better price" and won't honor their online price anyway if you apply coupon codes that they determine don't match their sales reps "best deal". And if you try to beat their deal, they will manually delete your coupons in the order and tell you the only way to get a deal is to call them direct. Shady Shades for certain.

I finally received the second part of my order. The first part of my order was completely off on the color, Select Blinds said, "Sorry no refund, no exchange, no help." Now I have my vertical blinds in, they look good. Problem is they do not open, they barely open a quarter of an inch. Including two images one of them closed and one of them open. I have watched their YouTube videos and walked through instructions multiple times, my blinds are not out of alignment they simply do not open. SelectBlinds sends defective products and completely wrong colors according to their samples and then offers no refund, exchange or any help whatsoever!

Received my order after 2 weeks. I ordered 5 blinds total. Out of the box, one of the blinds has a non-functional cordless lift and with a hole at the bottom. One blind has a missing wand. 2 out of the 5 valances have broken magnets in the back. The worst experience is that no one answers their customer service line. I would give 4 or even 5 stars if they have someone answers the phone (or live chat) and send me replacements quickly.

When I ordered online I ordered 110" x 83" vertical blinds. I received 24" x 36" blinds. I contacted customer service and was basically told, "Your mistake. Nonrefundable." I don't believe I was the one who made the mistake yet I have to eat the cost of the blinds. I was offered a discount on a new set of blinds at a cost 3 times higher than another company's full price. I'm a contractor and if I ran my business this way I'd be out of business in no time at all. How can Select Blinds state satisfaction guaranteed??? I've already purchased through the other company and will have my blinds in 48 hours vs the 3 weeks plus it took Select Blinds to get me the wrong order.

Unfortunately I have ordered 4 of these Cellular cordless blinds. Once you actually get them in these ridiculous brackets, they look great and operate smoothly. I've looked online for instructions and have found many others with this same issue. If I can't get this resolved, I will return them or take them to small claims court and sue. I consider myself a very competent handyman but no matter what I do, I cannot get them to snap into place. These brackets are ridiculously stupid in design and function. I could go on. I loathe profanity.

I ordered an entire floor of light filtering shades for my new home. One of the shades was damaged by my three year old so I went to order a replacement. My color was nowhere to be found which means to replace one damaged shade I will have to replace all five windows in that room so that they match. When speaking to the customer service rep they said it was "unfortunately discontinued".
I ordered the shades two months ago. Certainly they knew two months ago that they were discontinuing that color and they could have notified me or put a notification on the website so that I could have ordered a color that was going to remain in stock. That to me is very bad customer service and that as a paying customer I should expect that I can replace like for like with a product in a longer time frame than two months! My recommendation is not to order online but call a customer service rep and ask them if they plan to discontinue the color as these blinds don't last forever and now I am in a real pickle and cannot afford to replace the whole room.

This is the second order that I have made with Select Blinds. First, I ordered two light-filtering roller shades. When they arrived, one fit one window, and one was too narrow, so I had to add a piece of metal to force the hardware to stick out further from the window frame. After that experience, I learned that I should be VERY careful measuring the window frames. I did this on three additional windows, following their instructions to a T. However, when these three shades arrived, they were all too narrow by 1/4 inch.
Therefore, I had to make an extension on three different windows. I think that this is pretty poor. The instructions should be better written. All 3 window shades were too narrow by 1/4 inch! Incredible! That was the downside. The good part is that these light-filtering window shades are lovely. I had asked for samples ahead of time to get the color right. The shades are the perfect color and very soft with a woven consistency, even though they are plastic. The quality is good and the rolling mechanism is fine and easy to adjust. Select Blinds is one of the few places that still offers beautiful roller shades. You can buy room-darkening plastic roller shades at Home Depot, but they are cheap and terrible. For the cost of ~$30/shade, this is a good price for a lovely product. But please, people at Select Blinds, please rethink your instructions!

Less than a day after posting my initial review I was contacted by the customer care department, both via this website and my husband was contacted via phone. The representative my husband spoke with was EXTREMELY helpful and showed a genuine willingness to turn this experience around for us. And he did just that. He listened careful and with concern regarding the issues we have and discussed a fair resolution with my husband to resolve our problems. The mark of a good company is how they handle a situation when things go wrong, and I have to say that Select Blinds showed that they care about their customers and want us to be satisfied.

We purchased 3 cartridge roller shades. Right out of the box 2 of the 3 did not roll up when tugged. For the cost of these shades they should be working perfectly out of the box. My husband and I were going to try to make them work even though our window frame is too shallow for them. We followed the measuring instructions to a T, but there was no part asking for a measurement for the window frame itself. I apparently wrongly assumed that the window shades would be universal size (because otherwise wouldn't they have asked for a measurement?? You'd think!).
I called customer service and there was nothing they were willing to do even though we had spent quite a bit of money on these shades. My husband called back about the issues with the shades not rolling up. They requested a video (even though the issue clearly is pretty cut and try - we're not idiots we know how to use a roller shade - it doesn't roll up there's not much more to it than that). Again unwilling to really do much. One customer service rep sent us a YouTube link to try to correct the issue. Why should I have to fix pricey shades with a youtube link the day I open them? Do not bother with this company. If something goes wrong (even if it's their fault) they are inflexible. We are out $200 as a result!

I order 1 blackout vinyl signature roller shade. They came too wide for my window. Me and my husband both followed your instructions on measuring. You had 2 ways of measuring per the product page. The video showed measuring 3 places for width and height where the written instructions show to only measure the top. We have only windows that actually is more wide towards the bottom and less wide on top. So when we measured per the video the 3 measurements... we took the smallest measurement (which was the top) and was EXACTLY 32in. So that’s what we ordered. So right now the shade will fit the bottom/middle of the window but not the top where it’s supposed to be. It’s 1/2in off. Very minimal. The shade fits the window but the metal hardware on the shade is slightly too wide to fit in the brackets.
I first wrote into the chat and they basically told me they wouldn’t do anything but offer an “extreme” discount on a new shade and that I measured wrong. The “extreme” discount was basically the same price I paid originally. So I called in and spoke to the rudest man EVER! I tried explaining our windows are old and are harder to measure. Along with it saying how to measure 2 different ways. He kept telling me that if we measured the 3 width, I still would have had to take the smallest measurement which still would have been too big. What he didn’t get is our smallest measurement was actually the TOP and we confirmed it was 32 and is still measuring 32in. In so many words he basically said we didn’t measure right and made us feel dumb.
We tried going over measuring to make sure we did it correctly and still got 32in. He never once asked to see a picture/video of how our window is set up so that he could see what we were trying to say about it being a old window with a weird structure. What’s the point of ordering again for this extreme discount if it’s going to be wrong again? I even said, “I could measure my old shade then you guys could add in the deductions you take out”. But he wouldn’t hear that. I never felt so degraded from someone in customer service in my life. I still keep hearing him say over and over in his sarcastic tone, “All you gotta do is measure wall to wall... it’s not that hard.”
I hope it shows who I spoke to cause that guy is terrible. Oh and I also commented on how they have reviews on their website from people stating that they mis measured and got an exchange and had to screenshot to prove it. He basically called me a liar and never heard of that since he has been there. However we didn’t mis measure. So maybe your deductions weren’t right. Terrible company and now I’m stuck with this shade for no reason. Do Not Order from Them!!!

When I ordered top down, bottom up pleated shades from Select Blinds, I anticipated a durable and user-friendly product and expected that the shades would hang level. However those anticipations and expectations were just that and the reality is I received pleated shades that are NOT durable or user-friendly and that DO NOT hang level. Unfortunately, I did not read company reviews prior to placing my order. After 4 months of emailing, I am now personally seeing and experiencing the bait and switch tactics that is so prevalent in reviews for their products and customer service. I would certainly recommend spending a little more to get a quality product. You will not get that from Select Blinds.

I ordered motorized blinds from this company last fall. First they sent me one that did not fit, they said I had measured incorrectly so they would not send me another but I had to pay for another blind with a small discount. I finally received the replacement blind weeks later. Now, nine months later, one of the blinds stopped working. FIVE calls and FIVE WEEKS later still no replacement. Constant runaround. I will NEVER buy another product from this company and I am spreading the word to my realtor friends and anyone who might be in a position order blinds. Clearly their 'five star ratings' on the company website are fraudulent advertising. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. HORRIBLE COMPANY.

Customer service requested a picture, which I sent. Just received the response that they will not be replacing them. Yellow walls and pink housing is disgusting. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY. Yes, they are inexpensive, but that's because their product is not as described and just plain ugly. Who puts a puce housing around a shade and not alert you to this random color choice. I carefully measured the width of my windows. I selected the shortest length (didn't need to enter anything specific). Then I selected the width and color on the order form. What I believe happened is that I changed the number of blinds to be purchased and the width returned to the automated minimal width. I was very upset when the blinds arrived and were 3 inches shorter in width than I had originally entered. There must be some glitch in the ordering format. I called and was informed that I couldn't return/exchange the blinds for the correct size.

Although we were not able to completely agree. I agreed to take the $400 credit in order to resolve the concerns. I place an order of 14 blinds in ivory. When we received them, it was not what we ordered. The material of the shade was the right color but the frame (valance and all plastic parts were yellow). We make an initial phone call on May 31, 2018. As per our conversation with the representative, he asked for pictures and pictures were forwarded immediately. He indicated that the color of the plastic appeared old and yellowish. He did not foresee any problems changing them. He was going to call us back the same day or following day.
After 4 days and no one returning a call or message. Please advise on the status of our claim. I contacted Select Blinds again and after being on hold for an hour, the associate was rude and hang up the phone on me with no assistance. The picture of the blind in the internet on their web page shows the same blind with white valance and borders (plastic parts) not yellow. I think it is false advertisement, providing a picture that differs from the items, we received. Three of the pictures show what I received and two the actual color that I was expecting.

I emailed them pictures with the measurements and they determined that they did indeed send the wrong sizes. I recently ordered 2 separate bamboo blinds from Select Blinds. One was a cord mount, and the other was a cordless mount. I am very pleased with the cord mount blind (the mounting depth is 1 1/2" and the color is great, quality is great too). It fits nicely in my old 1920's window. The other blind (cordless mount) did not fit the depth of my window at all because the mounting width is 2 1/2"!!! This was not specified on the website at all. This makes a huge difference in how far it sticks out from the window (especially older windows that have extra interior molding). I ended up having to pay for a new blind with a cord, and was told to discard of the other blind (so wasteful!). It is a shame because I thought the quality of the blinds were great, and was looking to finish the rest of my house. This was a trial run and I was not satisfied. I learned my lesson about the cordless blind with this company, but will be going to another company in the future.

Several weeks ago I ordered 2 sets of extra-wide faux wood blinds for our sliding glass doors. The valances provided, which are supposed to attach with magnets, keep falling down. Our dog now barks at us every time we touch the blinds because he thinks something is going to fall on him! I requested replacement valances that attach with hooks - I can't tell if the problem is the many dents in these extra-wide headrails, which may keep the magnets from attaching securely, or just that the magnets are too weak to hold these wide, heavy valances. Over the past month their customer service has promised to send replacement valances twice. We have not received any replacements, and their customer service has now stopped responding to my emails and web inquiries. They should supply valances that attach with hooks for extra-wide blinds.

Blind valances came in cut wrong, missing pieces and one blind did not work. The customer service is non-existent. If you call and hold they never pick up. If you choose to have a call back they never call back. When you email them it takes them over 24 hours to return an email. The more info you provide them the more hoops you have to jump through until you give up. Save yourself the hassle and buy your blinds locally.
I sent pictures then they wanted a video. A video of the blinds not working. It is no different than the picture. I told them they could pick up the blind and replace it. No they want me take get a video recorder and record myself trying to pull on the blind and mail it to them. That is crazy. They now offer the same blinds today with 40% off plus an additional 20% off. I just wanted a problem fixed but it goes on day after day because you cannot talk to them on the phone even though they provide a phone number and it literally takes 24 hours per response. Please send call tags to pick up all the blinds and issue me a full refund. I should have just bought locally.

I ordered from the site last night 4/11/17 at 10 PM. I had a change of mind and decided to cancel it but I could not cancel it that night. Since I could not reach anyone there after hours and their website cancel order does not work and ask me to contact them directly. I tried to cancel it the morning at 10 AM via their chat page but their chat page goes nowhere and I just received an email that they will get back to me within 24 to 48 hours. They have a policy on their webpage that said that they have a hold time of 24 hours before they process the order just in case you might want to change something on your order.
So when I called their customer service around 12:20 PM and ask for the cancelation they said that they will check if they can still cancel it since they've already send it in production at 2 AM. They will get back to me within 24 hours to see if they're able to cancel it. By that time I would expect that they can't cancel it anymore since it's already passed the 24 hour window. They also said that my order does not qualify for the 24 hour hold since it's a 1 to 3 day order production shipping. When I checked my email it says there that the expected shipping date is 4/16 which is 5 days from the day I purchased it on 4/11. They are scamming their buyers so you can't issue a refund or charge you with a restocking fee for cancelling your order.

I ordered 2 honeycomb blackout/light filtering shades. They both do not close properly, sag and are inconsistent. The shades also came with hardware that did not match what was on the website. The mounting brackets are visible and look tacky, we wouldn't have ordered them if we knew you could the mounting bracket.Contacted them immediately via chat, and was told about an oops policy. If I wanted I could get 50% off of a replacement. We don't want a replacement. We simply want a refund.

When I order something that is 31", and you send me 33" this is already wrong. To fight me when I complain to PayPal after you didn`t reply properly, and to reply once on a Saturday holiday wknd phone call, and never hear from email/phone again is poor c/s. The customer service person was `Brodie.` I keep getting told I measured wrong. When I order an apple, I expect an apple not an orange. I order 31" and get 33", this is not an `allowance`. Then I am told `don`t count the outer frame of the arch` which ADDS another 4+ inches anyway to 37". I order 31, I expect 31. And having had multiple orders prior, you would think they would correct it right away. They fought me w/PayPal, and are hiding. All I want is a refund. I order 31" clearly on my receipt, I get 33" and am told I`m wrong.
I did not order 33" as is clear in my pic. I ordered 31". This is the WRONG size and I am getting nowhere with what I thought was a reputable company. Select Blinds - you need to refund this order at once and if you want the item back send a UPS/FDX call tag, b/c I already had a more reputable company attend to it.I ordered 31" and you can see in the pic the item is 33" WITHOUT an outer frame and 37"+ with outer frame clearly wrong, clearly not what I ordered and yet you choose to fight me, give runaround answers, fight w/PayPal and keep claiming it`s a `custom order` and not refundable. Great it`s `custom` but YOU sent it wrong.
In addition, this Arch product is made in China, not Texas as they claim. It is a case goods product that they may start out with and cut down but they didn`t cut it down. The BOX says 33". The measurement says 33", my order says 31". If I order a blue car and get a red one, you can`t tell me it`s custom too bad. You need to refund and let the customer go.
Beware - This is MADE IN CHINA boxed product, not as custom as they claim, and I will make it my mission to get this corrected and publicized any way I can whether online or in person at their facility in Mesa. All they have to do is refund it at once and let the client go. They are misleading, providing false advertising and promises and trying to dodge their responsibility. All they need to do is let a regular client get his due refund for THEIR mistake, yet they risk consequences for a $184 order it doesn`t make send to me.
SO Brodie, and team, especially Brodie - step up to the plate now please, issue the refund and this goes away. I was told by email that if the measurement is `more than 32" in a picture` they will issue a refund. I sent the 33 & 37" picture, and still they fought PayPal and didn`t refund. So not only did they do all the above, they also reneged on their offer. In addition, why would the standard be 32", 1" more than ordered? That would still be a mistake on Select Blinds' part.I order 31, get 33, get an email to show 32 and show 33 yet still a fight w/PayPal and fight w/me and very few if any replies. The day after I posted this review Brodie from Select Blinds reached out to me and offered me a few options as to how this situation can best be rectified. He was very courteous, articulate and provided me with reasonable options. I was able to think about the offer that suited us the most. I gave Select Blinds one star at the time of this review but am now upgrading my review to four stars. Select Blinds definitely wants to make sure their customers are pleased. I would order from Select Blinds again in the future and I will continue to recommend Select Blinds to family and friends in light of Brodie's assistance and prompt attention to this matter and Select Blinds' attention to delivering excellent customer service.

Select Blinds shipped defective blinds for my kids bedroom. The blind is a combination of a blackout shade attached to a privacy shade. Select Blinds combined shades that were different sizes and as a result one shade bulges out over the other and there is a lack of consistency. (The depth of the blackout shade is different than the depth of the privacy shade.) All the online photos reflect the same depth when they two shades are combined. I emailed them about this problem however they refuse to fix the problem saying I can reorder shades under the oops policy and get 50% off my new order.

I ordered blinds for our new windows in January. When they were a week late I contacted them and was told there was a delay because of weather. Another could of weeks pass and I am told they had a delay getting materials but they would ship the next week. Another couple of weeks and they guaranteed they would ship the next week. And so on and so on. Now it is April before anything could ship. I said I would take a substitution and suggested something which appeared to have all the same features but a different profile. They said I would owe them $630.
If they were honest in the beginning and offered me a substitution with no additional charge I would be fine but instead I got the constant delays and misinformation (always promising next week). They had a chance to keep me as a happy customer and failed. I requested they elevate it to a higher authority and do it via email, but instead they had a customer service agent call again. They are not communicating properly and not taking ownership for their mistakes.

I never heard anything so emailed the day after and was told my blinds had already been made and so the order could not be cancelled. Believe it or not, they then offered to sell me more blinds! Needed blinds to complete a house renovation, ordered 8 blinds on 2/6/2018 and received an email stating that some of my blinds would be on backorder until 2/14/2018. Date for backorder passed and no update email or change in status on their website. Went to online help and was told that they were in production, still no status change on website. Waited another week and called, was told that they needed to contact the factory to expedite the order and they would call me back, I was never contacted.
Contacted the company a 3rd time and was told that backordered materials were received and that my blind would be shipping in 3 days, still no status change on website, however I was emailed on 03/16/18 stating that my blinds would be on backorder till 04/01/18. They said that one of their trucks was in a bad storm and the materials were lost. I have ordered and received blinds from this company in the past, but this order has been a nightmare. Can't hold up project not having any idea of a delivery date. Had it with this company, they do not update status, misinform about status and I have lost trust in this company.

I was glad that Select Blinds reached out to me within 24 hrs after I wrote this review. Additionally, Brodie, the Sales Rep that called me, apologized for the inconvenience and was willing to make amends with me as a customer. He offered to upgrade my blinds at no cost, additionally he was going to refund my money from previous order. He created the order for new blinds to be delivered within 7-10 business days and I already received confirmation via email of that order. If this comes true, I will be a very happy customer and will continue to do business with them again.

Ordered 15 blinds on 2/22/2018 to replace the old ones and add a nicer look to my current home since I am trying to get my house listed to sell. The same day I received an email that stated the blinds could be delivered within 5 business days and that when the order was shipped I was going to get a confirmation email. A week and a half passed and no email or confirmation was received. Then, I called their customer service number, after waiting for 15 min, I got through someone, I was told, I was going to get a confirmation email within a day or so, and that the order was ready. A week passed no email. Then, I called again. Second time, they told me that their shipment of materials were in a shipwreck and half of my order was going to be backordered and the rest of the blinds should be shipped to me in a few days.
In addition, since I had been waiting for my blinds at this point for over 3 weeks, and my home was exposed to the neighborhood (replaced windows in the house no blinds or curtains) they would send some free shades for the ones backordered blinds. A week passed nothing. Then I called again, told the whole order was backordered, no free shades either, although note existed on file. I was given an option to upgrade to another vendor to get the order sooner for a price increase (aprox $20 per blind, total of $300). Then, at that point, I had it. I asked to cancel the order, was asked to be put on hold again for the third time in this phone call, so I asked just call me back since I was at work. Big mistake. No one called me back. I tried calling back and leaving my phone number later that day, nothing. I am very disappointed with this company. I will be cancelling, buying local from now on. I would give it zero stars.

I am a long-retired aerospace systems engineer who just helped my daughter (Google "KleinDance Arts") by researching, ordering and installing the blackout roller shades in the nine big windows of her new commercial dance/etc. studio in Santa Maria CA. Much effort, including bids from local specialists and from Home Depot, led me to looking online. We could not be more satisfied in all areas with Select Blinds as our choice to get blinds! Order and delivery was within THREE DAYS!!?? The 9 shades arrived! Drilling into the aluminum frames to install fasteners was easy once you know how (Google that for guidance). I am now an EXPERT, and quick, installer! Do-it-yourself is fun and simple, even if you are not "A Rocket Scientist!"
RECOMMENDATIONS: Could give links to installing on frames that are narrow depth, narrow width, also on drilling into metal frames. Oh - Should have a short continuous chain loop up out of reach of children, rather than a long loop with stops to not be continuous. I am being sent the capability to have such a loop! Thanks.

I ordered vertical blinds on Sunday 3/11/18 and there wasn’t a way to expedite the shipping, so I emailed and bypassed the “wait time”. I got confirmation email saying my order would ship by 3/13/18 and I still haven’t received shipping confirmation so I started live chat and apparently my order’s wait time didn’t get bypassed and customer service said they don’t know when my order will ship. Now I’m screwed because I needed those blinds by Thursday. I won’t order from them again.

I had an issue with the custom blinds I purchased a few months back. I called the company and Brady provided outstanding customer service. He made sure the replacement blinds were ordered and everything was taken care of in a proper manner. Select Blinds cares 100% about the customers and the quality of the blinds they provide. I placed an order on 1/28/18 and am still waiting. I understand things get on backorder but communication would be nice! As of today it still shows my order was to be shipped on 2/18. I have requested updates on multiple occasions thru their live chat and have been told they would send me an email, but have yet to do so. One conservation I was informed material was in and to expect them to ship out the follow week and they would expedite the shipping, still waiting and it's been a few more weeks. Their communication is poor.

After a delayed start and miss communications I received my order for our patio window motorized shades. Installation was a breeze, I was even able to use some of the old mounting holes. Once installed and the remote programmed my wife and I really loved the quality of the workmanship in the shades we ordered. When shopping for shades and blinds, consumers are overwhelmed with the amount of options on manufacturers websites. As we keep clicking and looking for options, the names don't help and you can easily get tricked. I felt for this, as shopping for blackout shades on Select Blinds and with related products and similar products, I ended up on this one "Premier Double Cell Light Filtering TriShades". Product images showed clearly a blackout window with a light filtering options, I was sold as the additional benefit of light filtering with a blackout was exactly what I was looking for. Product arrived and nothing related to the product images on the website I bought. The light filtering is the main shade and the additional shade is almost transparent. Reached out to customer support to hear they can offer me an "Oops" promotional code to buy another shade if I want to get right this time and that they don't accept returns.
Terrible customer service, fake website images but the overall product quality is good. So be sure to understand your product and don't get overwhelmed with the amount of products, spend 4hrs shopping for your shades and don't rely on their customer support. If you're buying shades for an entire house, I would not recommend this place as the chances you will need support is high and you won't get any.

I bought 4 roller shades, which seems simple enough. They were incredibly difficult to install as they were very very tight with the hardware (I measured twice before buying and again to see if my measurements were off -- they weren't, I think they were just cut a bit too wide). And impossible to remove without breaking given how tightly they were jammed in. The tension is a joke and still doesn't work even after following the instructions to resolve. I would definitely not order again.

I ordered 2" American Hardwood Wood Blinds for my living and dining rooms, and they look fantastic. Select Blinds was able to accommodate my very wide (98 1/4") living room window with just one blind - which is exactly what I wanted. I was also thrilled that I could add tape/ribbon to the blinds. The installation was easy, and the blinds fit perfectly. Plus, the delivery was faster than I expected, with the blinds arriving in just a few days. I would definitely order from Select Blinds again.

Dealing with this company is a joke. Sent full order 16 blinds back over the process of 1.5 years dealing with the issue. Sent them videos of blinds. They admitted default. Finally, said they would refund me $$. In the nearing end they would not. Ly new guy on scene says nope not refunding, but will remake them for the third time. And Michael (Customer Service Manager) said that I could "not afford" to buy the new quality he is now sending out to me. Did he assume that since I bought the economical ones first? Rude. Spend hours throughout the past 1.5 years dealing with this company. Yes my blood pressure is up! Will never recommend or buy from them again.

I ordered roller shades. Phone and email communication was slow and inaccurate. Sales clerk on the phone used in-house terms for delayed ordering, etc. and was unclear on how to measure for window covering size. The website is also unclear on how to measure. The blinds arrived (late) and were not wide enough, and would not roll up after being pulled down gently. No clear installation instructions. I called to find out how to return the shades... On hold forever and they haven't called back for 2 days. Emailed... And no response 2 days. Do not order from them!

Seriously the worst! If you have a simple project, they're okay. But if you have something complex, their instructions are inaccurate and they refuse to be accountable for misleading information. A complex problem gets moved over to email, and they take four days to respond with a cut a paste reiteration of what they already said. Customer services seem to have no understanding of how their own hardware works or what their measurement instructions entail. I just wasted almost $700 here.

I ordered woven wooden shades from Select Blinds back in September. I was debating between cordless lift and motorized. Before making my decision, I asked their customer service rep how long the battery life lasts on motorized blinds. I was told approximately 1 year. Given that information, I went ahead and paid extra for the motorized blinds. However, once they arrived they stopped working within one month. I was told by their tech team to replace the batteries and see if that works. They had to be lithium batteries and each blind takes 8 batteries. We have 11 motorized blinds in our house so that cost about $200 to replace all of the batteries.
One month later, they were dead again and 1 had twisted the motorized cord up and cut into it (pictured here). I called Select Blinds and they replaced them for the cordless, and I am very grateful for that. However, they refuse to reimburse me for the difference in price, which is around $4,000 extra for motorized vs cordless. Not only are we out that extra money, but we had to buy batteries twice ($400) and now pay a professional person to come install again ($250) since the set up is different. Overall they are quick to respond and are seemingly helpful but I am completely shocked they will not reimburse us for the difference, seeing as the motorized blinds would not work properly. I would never had ordered motorized if I had known they would die each month and I am quite upset since I was given false information when ordering which in turn has cost us an extra $4600. I would avoid this company or 100% do not order motorized blinds from them.

My first set of blinds arrived with one broken valance. No issues with Select Blinds to replace it. The second came and that was broken, too (the USP for sure both times) and again, SB replaced them without issue. After all 6 blinds were installed and only months later did I discover two blinds were too short to flip up properly. I called them, sent a short video proving that they were missing a few slats and on the same day, SB rectified it with confirming that two replacements will be sent out asap. Great product. Great company. Great prices and great customer service topped with a company standing behind their products. BTW I ordered 6 more blinds for my other home. Did I mention how well they are made?

The blind itself is fine but a single 35" blind has FOUR cords on ONE side?? It looks awful. Very cluttered. I ordered blinds from Home Depot and all of them - regardless of width - have only 1 cord. I had to order from Select Blinds to get a custom (shorter) length. I would return these if I could. They are very unattractive and not as pictured. Yes, you can get them cordless but my other corded blinds only have ONE cord (to raise/lower). These will tangle easily and just look BAD. I'm embarrassed to hang them but I can't return them and I can't afford to throw them away. VERY dissatisfied.

I have used Select Blinds.com for several years and have purchased over 100 blinds for 6 houses. I have never had any of the problems described by other reviews. They have always honored their warranty and the blinds have always fit, with the exception of when I gave the wrong measurements. They promptly send me new shades the correct size. I have also referred many of my friends and clients to them also. Never had any bad feedback.

I have tried calling Customer Service 4 times and each time on hold for over 20 minutes (due to incredibly high call volume regardless of time of day). When asked to put in my callback number, I did and never received the callback. I had an issue with an order and could not get help! I tried live chat and said they would look at my order and email me an update. Never received the email. It has now been a month that they charged me for 2 custom blinds that haven’t been sent. Do not buy from them. Horrible customer service. If you have issues with your order, you are out of luck because you simply cannot get ahold of anyone to help.

During the purchase of 8 faux woods blinds for the house the contact person I had misunderstanding about the time allowed to change some of the purchase as I had not received my samples. When I got the samples I contacted Select Blinds to find out the blinds had already been sent to me. At that point I was quite perplexed. But after they reviewed the phone call they completely stood by my order and are sending 2 new blinds at no cost to me and the 2 I have are mine to keep! The salesperson was named D.J. and he was very helpful and kind. The extension number to contact him is **!! They were very understanding and accommodating.

I purchased two shutters for large windows last year - they looked good and were easy to install. Therefore, I purchased two more shutters for my boys' rooms - same size windows in each room. The first shutters fit great even though the T-frame angle in the top left corner was a little off. Overall-good. I then go to install the second shutter - this is when my problems started. The shutter frame barely fit within the frame - there was no play like all other shutters that I installed. Further, the white piece of wood that goes between the frame behind the shutter was too long. This was my first indication that these shutters were not made to the size I requested.
I installed the shutters and the top fit, but when all four panels of the shutters were installed they were too big and could not be shut. Please remember there is no play in the frame to adjust this. I installed the shutters Sunday night so I had to wait until Monday morning (November 13, 2017) to call. I called first thing in the morning and waited on hold for over half an hour. When I finally got through to a representative I was told she didn't work on shutter and someone would call me back that day - a week later now Saturday November 18th and I have never received a callback. In addition, to calling I also sent an email message on Monday November 13th.
On Wednesday November 15th I received my first response. I was assured that the mistake would be corrected but they needed to confirm that the measurement was correct. So, I immediately sent them a message showing that the length was 71 inches as indicated in my order and I also sent them a picture of how the shutters did not fit and further sent them my original order details. No response until FRIDAY November 17th. At this point then send me a video on how to rack the shutters. This requires movement of the underlying frame which I cannot do because there is no play in the frame AT ALL.
So now I am absolutely disgusted. A week after installation and no return phone call - my son cannot sleep because he does not have shutters that fit properly and we took down the coverings we previously had. At this point, they haven't even shipped me the new shutters that was promised. Based on my experience to date I will not recommend this company.

Received an order of 5 cellular shades. Good fit, right color, but missing necessary click-mount installation hardware for one of them - not a big problem to resolve at all... Not until I tried to make contact. I called four times over this past weekend with similar results each time: "all agents are busy", initial wait time announced as under 2 minutes. After waiting over 15 mins, I was then was told the wait time was now more than ten minutes. They requested my number for an automatic call back, but that never happened. I called three more times over the weekend, same results each time. So, I called again mid-day on Monday, but sadly observed the same exact pattern.
In addition to all of that, I attempted to connect with an online rep via chat, but that came back as "postmaster undelivered" not once but three times. Apparently they have no interest in establishing communication with customers after the sale, nor helping to resolve the mistakes they made. Happy with the quality of the product, EXTREMELY disappointed with the complete lack of attention to detail, to customer relations, and to tuning their automated communication equipment to set realistic expectations. We live in a so-called service-oriented society, so in order to remain relevant companies must focus on the service. Just send me the parts, please.

You want to pay more for a bit more custom features, however you can probably get the similar blinds at BLINDS.CA at a third of the price. I purchased the premium faux wood. THE PROMOTION THEY HAVE IS A MARKETING SALES TACTIC TO ENTICE YOU. Blinds.Ca is half or less the price without the sale! There may be other blinds companies that have better prices. You must have 3" or more in depth if you want inside mount otherwise the valances are too short and gaps can be seen on both sides. They state: Minimum mounting space for inside mount 1 1/8". Flush mounting space required for inside mount 3".
They advise to always use the smallest measurements of the top, middle and bottom of the window to guarantee fit. Beware if the measurements for your window is uneven and you want the inside mount, measure the top and note how long you want the valances to ensure there is no gaps where you can see the window or metal brackets. (The short length makes it look so cheap and ill-fitted.) They asked for many photos and then kept insisting that the blinds fit. They wanted to charge extra for new set of longer valances.
DO NOT get No Holes Privacy unless you like to adjust the wood slates every time you open, close or tilt the blinds. The Faux wood is so light that they get caught on the unbound threads and you will need to manually fit each notch in place. If you have tall windows expect to bring out a step or mini ladder. If you also think the No Holes Privacy will block out more light, it doesn't make much of a difference. Valances are also magnetically attached to the metal bracket. Beware if you slightly touch the valance it comes falling down on your head! I had small dents on one of the blinds that I received and they basically ignored that and didn't send any replacements because I wanted to return one pair of blinds because the 1" Faux wood blinds stuck out too far past the window sill.
You would still need 3" for the brackets to be inset or flushed. I went to BLINDS.CA and order a pair of 1" aluminum blinds and their brackets were perfect! Their price $56 (not on sale) compare to Select Blinds at $126 (on sale)! I bought from Select Blinds based on the customer service review and satisfaction. Yes they were very helpful when I was buying blinds. After the purchase, nothing... just emails back and forth. Waste of my time. I RECOMMEND THAT YOU ORDER ONE BLIND TO SEE HOW IT LOOKS RATHER THAN ORDERING ALL. Please check out other blind companies before you fall into their marketing sales trap.

Ordered blinds, but called and cancelled the order the same day. Was assured that the card will be credited within a couple of days. Week later received email that order was shipped. Called again and was told that credit will be applied only when I send it back. Not the first time they made mistake that benefits them. Last time for me.

Spoke with Alexis ** of Select Blinds. I found her to be very knowledgeable, extremely helpful, and overall very pleasant to deal with. She assisted me in answering questions about the product I was interested in and helped me to place my order. Other companies could learn from this one. This is what customer service is supposed to be about. USA based (English as a first language) representatives that take the time to understand and respond to their customer's needs.

This is my third purchase from Select Blinds for custom sized blinds. The first purchase was over 7 years ago via the internet. The price for custom sized blinds got my attention and I decided to take a chance on a company I knew nothing about. That initial purchase is still functioning perfectly and looks brand new. Because of the quality and price I have made additional purchases over the years and have not been disappointed. My last purchase required a call to customer service. I explained the problem and the service representative was courteous and more than happy to assist me. I will continue to purchase from Select Blinds and recommend this company to family and friends.

After 8 years of service, one of the strings on one of my cellular blinds broke. Travis **, the customer service rep I worked with, was an example of what a perfect agent should be. He helped me step by step with the repair process, and I didn't have to purchase a new blind. When a plastic handle arrived broken, he put in another order. Without my asking, upon returning from his vacation Travis checked to see if the handle had been sent out. Since it hadn't, he put in a new work order and emailed me with an apology for the delay. I call that superior customer service.

The experience you will have with Select Blinds will depend on if they manage to get your order right the first time. I made one order consisting of one "top down/bottom up" double-cell cellular and 3 blackout double-cell cellular. When my blinds arrived, I was disappointed to see they sent the wrong color for the 3 blackout shades. I literally spent over an hour on hold waiting to speak to someone. I finally get a representative on the line and they sent me 3 new shades after sending them pictures to prove my complaint.
Once I received the replacements and installing them, I had to spend time learning how to adjust the up/down blind because it was hanging at an angle. I was also not happy with the hardware mounts Select Blinds uses as they keep the blinds sticking out more than other manufacturers. This was a problem to me because I was mounting them inside my window frames and wanted them to be as flush as possible. I accepted this as a "it is what it is" thing and did not make any complaints as I already mounted them and there is really not much that could be done besides purchasing new blinds somewhere else.
Less than a year in, I notice one of the three blackout shades cellular structure is falling apart. I called their support, again on hold for a very long time and I talk to a very nice representative that told me they are getting lots of shades falling apart due to the adhesive used on them letting go under the hotter temperatures. I did not enjoy hearing this but again, "it is what is" so they send me a new replacement after providing a picture as proof via email. The new blind was crooked when mounted and I had to align it. Thankfully, I learned the first time I did this and it did not take long. About a month or two later, I notice a second blackout blind failing so I call them and they again very quickly send me a replacement. At this point I am sure that is is just a matter of time before the 3rd one fails.
About another month passed and what I was expecting happens - the 3rd blind started to fall apart. I call them again and get a replacement. This time around the replacement they sent me is not the same tone/shade/dye as the blinds they previously sent me. I was really disappointed and I call them again and sent them picture with proof of the issue. They said someone would get back to me and once I finally got a email response from them they were stating that the dye is correct and they will not correct the issue. I tried calling on multiple more occasions but I did not get any resolution. Attached is the same picture I sent Select Blinds. As you all can see, The middle blind is noticeably lighter than the two blinds surrounding it and the only thing I can do about it is to buy new blinds elsewhere. Select Blinds is not backing their product under warranty.

I've purchased numerous roller shades and faux wood blinds from Select Blinds over the past few years and would wholeheartedly recommend them. The prices can't be beat, the quality of the products is wonderful, they're easy to install and their customer service is terrific!

I tried to order online but had a problem that I thought would be easier to resolve person to person. Customer service called back within 5 minutes of my call and not only took care of the issue but placed the order directly while we were on the phone together. The "frosting on the cake" was a savings of approximately 25% less than I had figured for my online order. I do a great deal of online ordering in my business and my experience with Select Blinds was exceptional, thanks to Alexis ** taking her time to make sure my order was correct and complete.

After struggling to contact SelectBlinds about a messy delivery gone awry, and after losing my temper last week, SelectBlinds went above and beyond to reach out to me via phone and email to figure out how best to resolve the issue. At the end of the day, the problem was a result of broken communication and the delivery service, FedEx, refusing to accept the package at the delivery point, thus unfolding the series of unfortunate events.
I'm amending my rating, as the company has heard my cries and taken me very seriously. I look forward to receiving the blinds and installing them in our apartment.

The absolute worst e-comm retailer. I placed an order for blinds, they shipped rather quickly, and then select blinds stopped shipment the day they were supposed to be delivered and had them rerouted back to the warehouse. After three days without an explanation from customer service, claiming they simply had no information, the package is still stuck en route, going in the opposite direction of my city, no one will give me any information, they've already taken my money, and everyone is claiming ignorance. How is this company still in business?! Their customer service is mysteriously unavailable. I've been sitting on the phone for hours trying to get in touch with someone, and no one picks up. No one replies to emails. I've been able to contact someone via the chat bot, but they're completely useless. BUYER BEWARE. DO NOT SPEND MONEY HERE, they literally steal it from you, never deliver product, and claim they can't do anything about it.

2 out of 6 blinds were visibly damaged. After speaking with Select Blinds call center operator Brady **, I was advised to go to the hardware store and purchase items to repair the broken shades. I purchased the 5 year warranty which is the maximum that Select Blinds offers and Brady's remark was "This is kinda tricky". Another favorite saying Brady used was, "You bought 'em. You got 'em."
I seek a full and complete refund and have been refused by the customer service manager, Zachary **. An entire month has lapsed and I am still waiting for a resolution and a return call from the CEO Al Silverberg. As published on the Ristal Inc. Select Blinds website I understand Al lives by a simple philosophy which is, "Boil any issue down to the root matter, and then make the decision that is best for the customer."

I ordered 4 roller shades from Select Blinds. They arrived very promptly, actually a few days ahead of schedule. However, when my husband went to install them he found that they all were about 1/4 to 1/2 inches wider than our measurements. Since they are for an inside mount we could not use them. He called and the company asked that he send an email with pictures to show the issue. He complied and they sent out the correct width blinds right away. He has installed them and we love them. We would recommend selectblinds.com.

I needed some new blinds for a house we recently purchase so I ordered samples. Got them right away and Nathan was super helpful in helping me with order. I had an order on save and he was able to add another shade and help me with some discount. He was super nice and convinced me to order now and get the sale price even though the three woven wood blinds will not be shipped until the 20th of next month.

The first time I attempted to contact customer service, I had no success, and I felt the time it took for someone to get back to me was unacceptable. However, when a customer service representative did get in touch, the experience was very good. Alexis ** is a good representative for this company, and she helped me through the entire process with skill and professionalism. She is an asset. The only suggestion I have to make is that you make certain that a customer trying to reach you is contacted in a prompt fashion.
