Upon moving into a new home, I purchased a 4-drawer Samsung refrigerator. It's beautiful and has a lot of cool features, but within 6 months the ice maker was frozen over. I contacted Samsung and they sent a repair person (there's only one in my area). He walked in and without even touching the refrigerator indicated that he could replace the parts, but Samsung hadn't done anything to truly fix the issues, so it would break in another 6 months. It didn't last that long! Within the next 8 months, it would break 3 more times. They finally agreed to replace it after the repair person refused the job the final time.

They led me through a long process of providing documentation and then indicated that they couldn't find a replacement (even though they are in all of the big box stores near me), so they offered me a refund. I accepted it and they led me on an even longer documentation process -- requested paperwork piece-by-piece (first the bill of sale, then a picture of the warranty information, then a scan of the sticker on the inside of the door...), indicate they didn't receive what I'd sent and ask for it to be sent again; send the wrong form and after I call, send me a new form, indicate they didn't receive it and ask for it again... This continued until I wrote an email to the Executive Vice President. I was assigned a designated contact, whose title indicated she was in the "President's Office," who was no better than their original customer service representatives. She only assisted when I initiated the contact and what was supposed to take 5-7 days, took over 2 weeks.

Upon getting my refund approval, my designated contact told that I'd receive two emails -- one asking for all of the information (ignore it, she said) and a second that would request my bank information to get a direct deposit. Amazingly, I'd receive the first email repeatedly, but never get the second one. I now have to wait for a check to be cut. I have already been in the process for two months and am now told that it will be an additional 2 weeks to get a check. As the check is too large to put through my bank's app, I will have to drive over an hour to the nearest branch. At the time I'm writing this, Florida has just entered a 30-day "stay-at-home order;" therefore, I will be unable to deposit it for a lengthy time. Buyer beware! While Samsung appliances look pretty (my dishwasher is also a disappointment!), they are poorly made and their warranty is painful and designed to discourage you from using it.

No repair, no warranty. It have a sulfur damaged. How that can be? I have a city water and a purified water system in the whole house. I have a 15 year old refrigerator, from the time the house was build, and still work in the garage. This is BS. I been read a lot other reviews in the internet, and people had the same problem. As I tell all of my friends, stay away from Samsung appliances. They may make good phones but they should stick to just that! We bought a Samsung french door, freezer on the bottom refrigerator 4 years ago. The ice maker started freezing up and not working 6 months after we bought it. At times it makes so much noise it wakes us up. Now a new problem... the fridge just stops cooling even though the freezer is still working. It's an on again off again problem leaving us never knowing when our food might go bad.

Yesterday it stopped working for hours so I ordered a Whirlpool (which I shouldn't have to replace a rather expensive 4 year old fridge) online from Lowe's. Then about 10 pm it just started working again. I called a repairman only to find out that, between diagnostic and the fix, someone would have to be here about 2 to 3 hours. My husband and I are both high risk if we get Corona so I really don't want someone in my home. Now I don't know whether to trust it or go ahead and spend another $2000 (we're on social security and can't really afford it) or just hope and pray that we don't get sick from eating spoiled food if it goes out and comes back on while we are sleeping. From what I see on this forum Samsung, you have caused so much stress and anxiety with your defective products, not to mention possible illness. You should (but I'm sure you're not) be ashamed!

We purchased a Samsung French Door fridge model number SRF644CDLS 18/11/2017. Six months after purchase the ice dispenser stopped working. We contacted Samsung support and they sent a repairman to fix the fridge and after a great deal of time waiting for a part the dispenser worked. 12 months later the ice dispenser ceased to work so we contacted Samsung once again and were directed to another repair firm who said the dispenser was faulty and we had to wait once again for a new part. By this time I was worried that our warranty would expire but the Samsung repairer assured me we would still be covered because it was always the same problem.

Now time has passed and we started to find small pieces of white plastic mixed with our ice, a month later and the dispenser has ceased working. We have contacted Samsung once again requesting a new fridge not a repair this time. Samsung said they would contact their assessor which they haven’t so we did. The assessor have said they would contact Samsung and get back to us again this did not eventuate. We feel we are right back at square one with a faulty fridge.

We've always loved Samsung products but this refrigerator is a real lemon. The ice maker freezes up every couple of months and we have to use the blow dryer to get rid of the ice buildup. Now the refrigerator won't stay cold. Repairman says it needs a new evaporator. Price to repair ice maker and replace evaporator: $954. Took 8 days to get a Samsung certified tech out to evaluate. Language barrier with phone help desk technician was frustrating. I learned that Samsung, if you have to call them, is not enthusiastic about backing up their products. At least not their refrigerators.

4 years ago we purchased a Samsung refrigerator with double doors and the freezer in the bottom. After 1 year we started to get frost on the back inside of fridge and also water would fill the bottom of my vegetable drawers. I put up with this until January 2020 when my husband googled the issues and realized the drain tube in the back of fridge was a faulty issue with this product. We thawed out the fridge for 2 days and installed the new drain tube thinking we had the issue resolved. March 5, 2020 I opened the fridge door only to discover the temperature in the fridge was 50 degrees so I pushed the power cool button. The fridge cooled off to 38 degrees again and I thought we were good. This went on for 3 days and we finally had enough. I have purchased a new GE refrigerator and will never purchase another Samsung product.

My fridge was only just 6 years old purchased in December 2013. It was stored in my shed, switched off, not used from Jan 2018 to Oct 2019 while we renovated. It just stopped working by not getting cold in January 2020 after being back in service for 4 months. I could not get a Samsung service agent to look at it. Finally a fridge mechanic that I found, advised me the fridge has failed to hold the refrigerant gas and even though the compressor was still working fine it cannot be repaired.

I called Samsung Australia several l times and also used chat, had to follow up 5 times and despite my case being "looked into" as it was outside warranty any help or warranty replacement was denied. Reading the ACA website I would class this as a major fault that could not be repaired. Had I have known that there was a chance that a major fault would occur in only 5 years an expensive $2000,00 fridge would be thrown in the rubbish then I would have never purchased this brand.

It's possible the pipework with the gas was poor quality material and can breakdown, something that never used to happen. A good quality fridge should last 10-15 years.. It has leaked all the poisonous R5 gas into the ozone layer and my kitchen and Samsung did not care. Samsung only offer a 2 year standard warranty on the new fridge products..So don't expect it to last much longer than that. Good looking fridge to attract you in, but I will never recommend you buy a Samsung fridge. Once bitten twice shy.

I bought model RF28JBEDBSG less than 2 and a half years ago. For paying over $2000, you would think it's going to be an excellent appliance. Since day one, we hated the ice maker. Barely makes any ice. But little by little the ice maker freezes up and the ice blocked up. So we started buying bagged ice. So to fix it, we unload the refrigerator and let the ice melt so we can get into the ice machine to remove the ice. This has happened multiple times even Christmas eve dinner.

So I researched the problem and realized there are thousands of people with the same problem along with a class action lawsuit for the same issue I'm having. Then someone mentioned the temperature not regulating properly. So I got a thermometer and seen that I have it set for 34 degrees and the temp inside was 20 to 44 degrees that I have seen with my own eyes. Over 40 degrees is unsafe for food. Two issues with this refrigerator. First is the built in ice maker that freezes up on a regular basis because it is not sealed from the main refrigerator body and so therefore is prone to damp air from inside the main fridge. There is a built in "heater" to defrost this icemaker. It is difficult to get into the program as the sequence of buttons you have to push are very unresponsive. Once you do get it on you have to listen to exceptionally annoying warning bell for 20 minutes while it functions. And in our unit I find I have to defrost the icemaker every two to three months.

Second problem, and Samung's live support on the telephone was absolutely useless, is the bottom freezer drawer will regularly stop rolling open. That is to say my wife can only open the drawer about half way. Samsung's answer was the drawer was overloaded and something was getting stuck. Except the drawer was closer to empty than full. The rollers are not freezing either. The only solution I have found is to aggressively force the drawer to the full open position and then it will roll easily for a couple of months again. This is not a progressive problem as today it opens, tomorrow it will not.

Tech said two problems. Ice on the wall is a little problem. Freezer is big problem. I would have to pay for the little problem and warranty would cover freezer. GREAT worth fixing. Freezer had a Freon leak. Suppose to be covered. After working on and discussing with manager he said they won't warranty it, there are many leaks in copper tubing and corrosion on compression. Said it was due to environmental reasons maybe humidity. Crazy we built our house 30 years ago and put in a Sears Kenmore refrigerator. It lasted 27 years without any repairs, replaced because of color. No leaks. No corrosion. Was still working.

My house has copper tubing plumbing. I haven't had a leak in 30 years. Other appliances replaced washing machine 1 time during the 30 years and I am on 3rd dishwasher (once to update color once because I tripped and fell on door bending the hinges). In fact I bought the dishwasher around same time as Samsung refrigerator and it is still going. Only the Samsung refrigerator rotted out in 3 years. Not one p problem two problems on this Samsung in 3 years. Search sealant leaks, Freon leaks. You will find it is not uncommon for relatively new Samsung refrigerators.

Thinking about buying a Samsung refrigerator think again, Question is - What is Samsung doing about the frozen drain line issue? Do you think that a customer wants a defective product? I don't want to defrost my system every so-often, plus with the Samsung name you'd think they would do something. I'm almost 4 hours in working basically for Samsung... BS! Contacted Samsung customer service and get what I expected, nowhere.. The customer service rep said this is a unknown issue, https://www.samsung.com/in/support/home-appliances/resolving-drainage-issues-in-samsung-refrigerators/. So, I sent that link to customer service rep...

Then was told it's out of warranty. Yea, I know I only have it for 1 1/2 year and have learned that I will be repeating this process about every 1-2 years. Luckily, I am a handy person and do not need a service call. If you have a Samsung refrigerator plan on a defrost cycle every couple years when water pools up under the tray that's a good sign to start eating up the food.. Then plan a weekend to shut it down.... What I learned is to stay to the basics. A simple refrigerator without all the crap, ice trays work fine, the sink for water and 2 doors. Oh and that smug free door. Yeah, wanna see a picture it ain't smug free and it's dame hard to clean it off too.. Venting over!

Already spent 150 trying to fix the ice maker and no luck. Called Samsung and they will send a repairman and charge 360 something, parts not included. Haven't called for name peeling off since it would be a total waste of time. I wish I had gone with LG.

I bought the French Door Fridge 18 months ago. I love the look. I love the storage space. Hate the knocking although that has improved a great deal after six months, and after they suggested I switch the Ice button to off - since I don't use it. It still Pops, Snapples and Cracks a bit but that is probably normal for most refrigerators. My main beef is the crisper drawers. Rather than be just one piece, the front of the crisper comes off to enable cleaning in the crack where the pieces join. (If it was only one piece, there would be no cracks to accumulate food bits.) Why they decided to build a crisper that needs to be disassembled and reassembled I can't fathom.

Anyway, one needs a screwdriver to pry open the thin plastic latches that keep it together. You guessed it! I broke one side of one of the latches and now I need to use bother hands when I pull it out to make sure I don't break the hinge on the other side. Normally, I would just buy a new drawer. Samsung uses independent companies to sell their parts. The price? $120 CDN!!! I thanked them and went out and bought plastic Glue. And as I write this, I think I will fill the crack with plastic glue too. I wished this had happened two weeks ago before I bought a Samsung Range and Dishwasher.

I purchased a whole suite of Samsung products less than 2 years ago. The washing machine has a slow leak, the oven works ok, however the fridge is a nightmare. Don't expect the ice maker to last more than a year. Also the freezer gets pretty heavy when loaded and the handle is held on by a flimsy piece of plastic.

Ours broke after a year and a half and we were told that it is 'way out of warranty'. I kind of expected a handle to last more than 19 months. On top of that there is no easy fix. It isn't just replacing the handle. It's all of the mechanics in the door, they actually told me via chat that this is not something you can fix. It needs a service call from a licensed Samsung repair shop. So hundreds of dollars just to fix my door handle. Upon searching this issue there are hundreds of people with this problem. Samsung has great electronics but I will never buy another Samsung appliance, there's a reason they are generally cheaper than the rest.

I bought a 2017 Samsung refrigerator in June 2018. I bought it from Home Depot. The refrigerator failed in the 5th month. I asked for a full refund from Home Depot. They told me they do not back up the product they are peddling. I have never had any issue returning anything I’ve bought at Home Depot until this refrigerator purpose. This is when I knew I was screwed. At that time I found out Samsung had a 1 year service based contract so I allowed them to come fix it. They replaced the ice maker and of course it failed again in the 14th month.

After being verbally abused and lied to, I dig into research. I found the SAMSUNG RECALL REFRIGERATOR RECALL PAGE on FACEBOOK. This page gives support to customers that are dealing with the bad units and steps to get your refund. After 9 months of being held hostage by this company I got my refund. We purchased this refrigerator less than two years ago. It worked OK for maybe a year and then the dispensing ice maker started making horrible noises, dispensing wet ice, cubes freezing together in the ice bin. I ended up simply turning it off and just using the ice maker located in the freezer compartment.

Around the end of the first year, we began hearing an annoying 'clicking' sound, which was caused by the cooling fan inside the back panel being COMPLETELY encased in ice.

I research this model refrigerator on the internet and found a myriad of Folks having the same issues. For the next 3 years, I periodically had to either use a hairdryer for a quick fix or remove the entire back panel to de-ice the entire bank of cooling coils per instructions on YouTube from dozens of unfortunate Consumers who purchased this piece of junk.

ALSO, there are MANY Class Action Lawsuits listed on the internet related to Samsung poor engineering of the automatic defrost function(s) of this particular model. In 50+ years of marriage, we have purchased 8 - 10 refrigerators for our homes and have NEVER had an experience such as this. Today, we took delivery of a new refrigerator. Suffice it to say, it was NOT a Samsung. Samsung should be ashamed to have placed such a poorly engineered product on the market. I would STRONGLY recommend that anyone reading this NEVER purchase a Samsung refrigerator....They did not stand behind this product.

Beautiful refrigerator but has major design flaws. I have a Samsung Refrigerator Model # RF28JBEDBSG that was made in 2015 and purchased by me in 2016. About a year ago the water stream from the water dispenser became very small; I looked on the internet and it looks like this is pretty common problem. I already pay around $50 every 6 months for the Samsung Water filters - why can't Samsung get this (water dispenser design) right? I called Samsung and I will need to pay for a technician to come out to fix this problem. My mother just bought a Whirlpool fridge - great water and ice dispenser! Just saying... Secondly, within the FlexZone there's a little plastic part that connects the metal dividers after you have adjusted them to your needs. This little plastic part broke apart. When I called Samsung Parts I was told I'd have to buy the entire insert for the flex zone - $170! This stinks.

During the last visit, the repairman said it is not a big deal just remove the bottom drawer and remove that layer of ice and that takes care of the problem. The next time our warranty had expired so I did not consider the long term ramifications which hits us now that the bottom freezer drawer has stop freezing completely. This is a very costly repair. Our experience with the Samsung refrigerator (French doors, bottom freezer, ice/water in door) has been a big disappointment. The ice-maker never worked well - the ice gets wet then freezes over. The refrigerator coils accumulate frost and ice and the fan starts to rattle and eventually die when it hits the ice. An appliance repair company replaced the evaporator cover to create a new seal, and installed a new drain kit ($400), but only 3 1/2 weeks later the same problem occurred.

They came out again to defrost it, but said they would not service this refrigerator after that - that it is a design defect that Samsung should recall. Three weeks later, the same problem occurred, over Christmas with a house full of family and a refrigerator full of food. I called Samsung but they won't do anything about it. Samsung, if you're reading this, you may think you're "saving money" in the short run, but in the long run, your customers are falling away like flies. Will not buy Samsung again nor recommend it to you.

Original Review: Only after the first yr did I hook up the ice maker/ water dispenser. Kitchen remodel was on hold. But immediately it failed by continually icing up. The paint started to blister from rust around the bottom of the cut out. Out of warranty and out of mind by customer support. The handle of the freezer door broke within the first yr and I will give them credit for replacing the door face to repair that. Although it took 7 days to get tech support in Phx AZ. Now at 3 yrs I’m waiting for tech support for a closed unit fix (compressor). Waited 4 days for 1st tech to report that he was unauthorized to fix problem. That appointment was paid in full by Samsung Thank you. Now I’m waiting for another authorized tech company to diagnose the problem (2nd opinion?). That will cost ME $120. Up front. Not included in the compressor warranty.

So this tech company is not satisfied with the profit made from Samsung exclusive authorization (the customer) but insists on also touching the owner. There is a class action lawsuit on the ice maker and the fan and defrost sensor will soon follow. We have had Samsung certified repairmen out six times and one of the repairmen said that there is a design flaw on the refrigerator and that we should expect to keep having someone out to put a band aide on the problem.

Samsung knows there is a design problem and they will do nothing to fix it. When we call Samsung they go through their written script and are worthless. I purchased a Samsung 2 door fridge with lower freezer drawer and upper ice and water dispenser. It was delivered and installed in May 2016. Right away the ice cubes where either very small and dry or regular size and wet. The cubes regularly melted and froze into a block of ice, where we had trouble removing the ice tray. Once opened we found that the whole ice compartment was frozen including the ice making machine. We had to regularly turn it off and defrost it. Sometimes the ice would melt and drip from the ice/water dispenser.

In the summer 2016 we noticed that our food was spoiling. Soon after the fridge was making a loud noise. After some investigation we found out that the fan area of the fridge was filling with ice which froze the fan in a block of ice, which caused the fridge to warm without any indication on the fridge thermostat. Every few months we have to take everything out, thaw out the fridge for 2 days and then restart the fridge. We've had two repairs done by a certified appliance repair company. The first time we were told that the problem was a well known flaw in manufacturing. Samsung has recommended a kit to fix the problem, but the repair company said that it doesn't work.

We paid them to put the kit in, which was some tin foil and cardboard to redirect the air flow and replacement tubs to help with the backflow of water (which both cause the water to back up and freeze into the fan area). One month later the fan was frozen again and our food was spoiling again. We paid for the repair company to return. They checked everything and told us that there was no way to make the fridge run the way it should. They told us that it's a well known manufacturing flaw that samsung will not fix and will not recall. We paid over $2000 for this fridge and Samsung has told us that they will not refund or replace it even though it hasn't worked right from the start.

I was told at the store that the 2019 models had ice-makers that were redesigned so not to worry. My refrigerator was installed almost 4 days ago. The ice-maker is working, but it makes VERY LITTLE ice at one time and takes FOREVER to make another batch. The ice is stored in a "bin" that is not easily accessible. Ice must be accessed primarily by using the water/ice feature on the front of the door. There is no bin one can reach into. Part of the ice-maker must be pulled out of the refrigerator in order to reach your hand in to empty all ice.

I heave read reviews from various consumers debating the ice volume issue. I had read that many thought the ice production was fine. IT IS NOT. If you enjoy ice in your drinks, you would barely have enough for a family of four. Then, it takes forever for it to be replenished. I live in Texas. It is hot here more often than not. We like plenty of ice in our drinks. This refrigerator is not up to the task. In fact, I have never seen an ice "bin" so small or one that you couldn't reach in and get the ice easily. This was an expensive purchase. Had I known about this "redesigned" ice-maker's limitations, I would never have bought it. I will need to routinely purchase a bag of ice to keep in the freezer at all times. Other than the ice-maker, I have no other complaints at this time.

    Ice Maker:

The ice maker constantly freezes up and requires that you defrost or chip ice out every month or so. This is a flaw with how the ice maker is mounted and does not create a sealed compartment, allowing warmer air from the refrigerator section to enter the ice making space.

    Touch Screen:

My first fridge came with a broken touch screen. It was active but the touch did not work all the time. For whatever reason they could not obtain the part so they RMA-ed (Return Merchandise Approval) my refrigerator and replaced with the same model -under warranty. The second refrigerator came the same way. This time they were able to obtain the part using a third party repair company and the screen was fixed.

Apparently the first screen had a broken connection that the technician was able to see once he removed the part. He suspected the connection was possibly broken during transport and explicitly installers holding/carrying the door by holding the ice dispenser region. Apparently there is a flexible piece of plastic that pushes up into the screen. I recommend for anyone with this refrigerator to take extra precautions not to move the fridge by holding the ice maker region.

When I first got the refrigerator there were several useful apps (including: AP News, Pandora, a recipe application, weather bug, google calendar, etc) with the indication that more apps were going to be coming in the near future.

No new applications have come. Weather Bug stopped working 2 years ago. AP News just went off line. Pandora and recipe apps just disappeared one day. To make it worse many people on the Samsung site have been trying to get a response about the applications and Samsung never responds. My opinion is to stay away from any Smart-screen Samsung refrigerators: they are only a novelty that Samsung does not seem to support.

The components seem to be manufactured in China and that is the reason for its worst quality. Lowe's came and fix it and told us that it's not going to have any more problems. Unfortunately, it had the same problem five more times in three years. When I call Lowe's to complain, the supervisor was so rude and told me to buy bags of ice to solve my problem. I paid more than $3,000 for this refrigerator and I am really frustrated that this issue has not been recalled. I will never buy another Samsung product again and I am still dealing with this.

I purchased a Samsung rf267aers refrigerator 12/01/09. The issue with this unit is the following. We the owners of this unit all (have) the same problem. Lousy design of defrost system allows the defrosted water to freeze in the discharge tube so it overflows into the lower platform under the pull out shelf. When it freezes, it freezes the roller wheel on the bottom of the shelf in the layer of ice and it won't move until you defrost the fridge to the point it releases. There are YouTube videos of how to defrost the coils but Samsung has known about this forever and won't fix it.

So every month I remove the bottom tray and remove the built up ice slab. Now I have called samsung several times. Samsungs directions defrost the refrigerator. But even that process DO NOT solve the problem. ONCE unit was turned on again the SAME problem returned. I once inquired to samsung tech people how much it would cost me to fix the problem $700-$800 with NO GUARANTEE. BUT THEY WOULD put the old parts back. Of course I would have to pay for the labor for the install and removal that was about $165-320. Samsung bad NEWS.

There are quite a few Youtubers out there showing the icing problem. They are chiseling ice blocks off the fridge. The fridge starts making an annoying sound which happens to be the twin cooling fan system hitting the ice. "That's not right".

It's disappointing that Samsung is not addressing the issue. I have been able to care for mine periodically and unthaw it from time to time, but it's definitely a "feature" Samsung isn't being upfront about. I’m sure at some point the fan will break because of the issue. I can only imagine what expenses they would try to push onto the consumer(me), and given the age of the refrigerator it isn't worth a $500 repair bill. It doesn't sound like people are having much luck with repair(s) either. Some report multiple repairs yet they still have a dud afterwards.

Samsung’s idea of customer service is “3 – 5 business days and someone will call you”. At this point we have been without a functioning refrigerator (I consider a refrigerator to be a basic need in this day and age) for 14 days! The specifics are below: A service tech was sent to ‘fix’ the problem one week after we first reported the problems to Samsung. The fix/part replacement (2 different parts were tried) did not correct the problem. The Tech talked with Samsung’s technical support from our home and said, "My office will call you on Monday" (9 days after the report to Samsung).

On Wednesday (11 days after the report to Samsung) the same tech is back with a 3rd different part. Still not the answer. At this point, it is determined that we need a whole new refrigerator (current unit is only 6 months old). The Tech entered a ticket into the system AND once again it is 3 – 5 days before someone will call us. Not, 3 – 5 days and you will have a new refrigerator – NO, 3 – 5 days and someone will talk with you about what can be done. Now it has been exactly 14 days since our Samsung refrigerator has worked. Still we have not received a call from anyone from Samsung regarding the solution to our problem. This was my first Samsung refrigerator; it will be my last.

Purchased Samsung Refrigerator in April of 2019, by Sept of 2019 freezer stopped working, a week later refrigerator stopped working. Called samsung and they sent out 2 different repair places, first one told us it was a sealed system and they did not work on those. Called Samsung back and asked them to replace the refrigerator they said they would have to try to repair first and unless there was a second problem that came up they would not replace it. Well that second problem was the refrigerator stopped cooling, I placed a thermometer that I purchased in refrigerator and took pictures, of temperature. The thermometer said 48 degrees while Samsung digital readout said it was 34 degrees. We lost over $400 dollars with of food and we see that Samsung will possibly reimburse up to $200 (maybe).

Second repair person came out and said that he could not fix problem today that he would have to order parts which would take 3-5 days to get then schedule another appointment to do a temporary fix, he said he would recharge the system and then when we saw a temperature change of 10 degrees to call them and they would send a tech back out to attempt to find the leak. He stated that once they found the leak they would have to order parts and schedule another appointment to fix said it could take 2-3 weeks. All he did was take down serial number and model number never even checked out to see if he could find a problem.

I called Samsung back and they did their Usual BS trying to get me to wait on repairs that could take another 2-3 weeks. I told her "how about I come to your house and take your refrigerator away and you have nothing to store food in would that be an inconvenience." She said "I understand your frustration but there is nothing I can do." I asked to speak to supervisor and she finally approved to replace the refrigerator said it would take approximately 7-14 days to get a replacement. Their Customer service Sucks. The refrigerator is a POS. I will never purchase any Samsung Products no matter what From here on out. Save yourself the headache and stress of having to deal with them and buy anything but Samsung. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON SAMSUNG APPLIANCES!!!! THIS PRODUCT DOESN'T EVEN DESERVE 1 STAR RATING!!!! But unable to give it a negative rating.

I tried to one of their authorized repair people, by the time he got to me he was no longer associated with them. He said the problem was a short in the electrical wiring and he does not fix that.

I went back to Samsung. They agreed to pay for any parts and sent me to another supposedly authorized repair person. That person said I still had to pay him shipping on parts. Samsung said that was not correct and after they talked to this person Samsung said he "he not have even credit to do the work" and they would find someone else.

I was given misinformation, hung up on, transferred to other agents multiple times and had to re-explain the "reason for my call" over and over again. The agents read off a script about their service policy "I cannot get a replacement refrigerator until a part has been replaced twice AND THEIR service tech deems it unrepairable;" I cannot receive reimbursement for lost food until the refrigerator has been fixed. The problem with my appliance is that there was a factory defect with the freezer drawer, the techs were telling me, but not communicating this information to the SAMSUNG TECh. I purchased a series of Samsung appliance just less than 2 years ago. They have all, every single one, had problems. The ice maker on the fridge has to be manually defrosted about every 3rd week. When it is working it drips water down the door making the door shelves unusable. The heat sensor on the oven was replaced once already and is now giving problems again, which requires me to pull out and unplug the unit after each time I use the oven. The dishwasher door no longer closes properly, so I have to pull it out and attach a clamp on each side to use it. In each case the problems started just as warranty expired. I have had multiple service calls (at my own cost) and in no case was the problem addressed. The fixes that I have for I learned from the internet. In summary, they are clearly poorly made, the service is non existent, and generally, I plan to make it my goal in life to spread the word about how crappy these appliances are.

Lights went out in Control panel on door almost immediately after purchase (service person made some adjustment that lasted a while and then it went out again, next service call we were told it was not covered under warranty). Unit started freezing up under deli tray while water leaked into the veggie bins, one ice maker would freeze up, the other poured water out of the door flooding the floor on several occasions, and of course it was out of warranty by this time so we finally had the ice makers shut off.

It continues to leak water underneath the unit so our beautiful Samsung refrigerator sits in the garage so we don't have any more floors to replace. Samsung knowingly and without accepting responsibility continues to sell theses defective refrigerators to consumers without regard to the hardships it created both financially and emotionally. These are not warranty issues, it is defective design flaws. We are very disappointed and dissatisfied with Samsung and our Samsung refrigerator.

The 25 cu ft [same model] quit working in 4 years 4 months. The repair lasted just under 10 months. Samsung told me too bad, the warranty is up after having me send them copies of sales slips, etc. and string me along for about 4 weeks saying they were ‘looking into it’. They know they have a defect in this model, agreed they should have lasted 5 years, but, nothing they could do about it.

These were the top of the line and I had over $5000 in 2 pieces of scrap and now again have food loss and another repair bill. With $2500, in this one alone [got my money back for the 28 cu ft because of store warranty] I can’t just junk it. Know whatever you read about their 4 French Door models, the chances are it won’t last more than 5 years at best and if you had a store warranty, it would be gone and Samsung will NOT do anything for you. However, shortly after the one year warranty, the produce bins started icing up underneath and we would often find water in the bins. There seems to be a known problem with these fridges and we got no help from Samsung. My husband is very handy, and by spending a lot of time defrosting the fridge several times a year, we kept it alive.

When I say defrost, I mean at least two days of defrosting because the Styrofoam insulation was totally wet and it took that long to dry it out. He had to open up the back of the inside of the fridge to do this - not recommended for most people. That means two days without a fridge. My understanding is that there is a class action suit against Samsung for this problem. The electronics in this fridge are defective and I would never buy another Samsung fridge. We gave up and now decided to go down in price and get a more old-fashioned top freezer, no French doors.

The fridge then goes into defrost mode. This has been an absolute headache for us.

We have forked out money on short term repairs and have lost money spent on food that has gone bad. This fridge is easily worth $3000.00. Samsung should be ashamed!
