My Samsung French door fridge with drawer is only five years old and the fan in the top went out and the temperature raised to 54. No warranty so I called Sears (They were horrible!! That's a whole other story). The parts are incredibly hard to get, it takes WEEKS!!! In the meantime our refrigerator is too warm! We lost lots of food and could only shop for one meal at a time! The next service man that came out told us we may as well replace it now rather than waste our money and that we were lucky to get 5 years out of it. That repairman told us to stay far away from Samsung appliances. We replaced it was a Maytag and are very happy we did.

My Samsung French Door fridge is less than 6 months old and the ice maker quit working. Best Buy would not do anything as I didn't buy extended warranty. Seeing as I was having company, I foolishly got it fixed. I tried to contact Samsung, even with all my receipts, including one for the purchase, they won't do anything. I am concerned now that I will continue to have issues as all the other reviewers. PASS THIS BY!!! Buy a different brand!!!

Frost on the inside of the refrigerator twice in the past year and a half - had repaired-twice plastic hose leaked-once repaired. Second time had just put in a new kitchen floor and it leaked again causing mold under the floor and had to replace floor-very expensive. Glad insurance covered the floor-would never buy another one of these refrigerators. Nothing but problems - I wanted the ice maker - that doesn't work either. Waiting to get enough money to get a different one!!

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator model RF32FMQDBSR/AA in June of 2014, and have since had to have the ice maker replaced 3 times for a total of $1000. It originally failed just a year after the frig was purchased, so was no longer under warranty, and that bill was slightly over $500. In August of this year it failed again, and that experience cost $400. At that time the repair company said they were no longer doing warranty work for Samsung due to the issues with the ice maker. Here it is 2 months later and the icemaker has failed again. This morning the tech came out and we were charged $100 for a service call, and it is still not making ice. Samsung won't do anything about the problem. We are probably going to have to purchase a different brand of refrigerator as we have already spent 25% of what the original purchase price was for repairs. No more Samsung for me.

Bought a Samsung RC 23 French door refrigerator about 2 years ago. I attempted to replace the water filter which I have done several time. The new filter was about 1/4" larger than the old filter and had the same part number, DA29. Contacted Samsung. They said the filter manufacturer changed the filter and that I would have to replace the filter housing at my expense as the unit was out of warranty. Neither the dealer or the service center had seen any notification of this. Samsung says since the unit is out of warranty it's my problem. So now I have a $250 repair bill on a unit that Samsung knowing put out with defective/obsolete parts. Will not buy Samsung in the future.

Have owned the side by side for 2 yrs and the interior is broken in very many locations. The interior drawers are plastic snap-togethers with plastic caster wheels that break off. The plastic covers on certain sections of the interior are cracked. Would not recommend this unit to my worst enemy. Even though this unit lists for $2400 it is cheap cheap cheap.

There is a serious engineering flaw in the Samsung Refrigerators. The issue is that the refrigerator will ice up creating a huge ice jam in back of the refrigerator. It starts with water flowing down the back and into the crispers. That water freezes inside of the refrigerator causing a huge ice jam to create behind the back plastic covering inside of the refrigerator. This has been reported to be a widespread issue.

All that you need to do is look up Samsung Refrigerator Issue on the internet. There are many individuals trying to provide so-called, "remedies". However you cannot fix a poor design and the issue amounts to individuals having to defrost their refrigerator every couple months. Also water builds up inside. The internal temperature fluctuates thus causing food spoilage. Additionally the catch basin underneath will overflow with water causing damage to floors. Samsung appears to turn their back on this issue, even though it is widely reported. The issue starts after about the first or second year of ownership.

I am having a week of nightmare with my Samsung refrigerator. My NEW refrigerator stopped cooling so I call this horrible company Samsung to help me and all they did was give me the number of a technician that could only come to my house and check the problem in 1 week. Finally when the technician came he told me that my NEW refrigerator's compressor does not work and needs to be replaced, and the process takes from 3-5 business day. So I called Samsung to ask for help since all my good has spoiled and I need to keep ordering food for the entire family, including our 3 years old child and Samsung said just to keep the receipt. REALLY?! If you even consider to get a Samsung refrigerator just stop it... They will sell you a broken one and will not help with anything you need... REALLY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS TERRIBLE COMPANY.

I purchased a French door refrigerator from Lowe's about 15 months ago and I purchased a 5 year extended warranty in case something went wrong with the appliance. After about 14 months the refrigerator went bad and started popping the CGFI plug in the house. After contacting Lowe's to request help in support of this issue and try to use the extended warranty I was told that the warranty company refused to help saying that it was our fault the refrigerator was not working. I contacted Samsung to ask for help, they said they can send someone to diagnose the issue but it would cost me additional $165.00 for labor.

I agreed to this but the person who was supposed to perform the diagnoses was not even qualified to work on refrigerator and I'm sure he was not certified by Samsung to work on their appliances. He blamed us like the Lowe's supposed qualified technician that it was our fault that the refrigerator was not working. I have contact both Samsung and Lowe's many time without any progress. I have decided not to ever buy anything from Samsung or Lowe's. I hope you can learn from my mistake in dealing with well known companies. I can provide receipts if I feel this is going somewhere. I have spent too many hours waiting for people to show and diagnose and on hold, making phone call and talking with managers.

I have had my Samsung French door refrigerator for 2 years last September. Thankfully we purchased extended warranty on the appliances. First the defroster had to be upgraded because ice was building up under the deli tray. When they came out to fix that they found out the sensor panel was broken and the ice maker needed upgrades. The ice maker has now had six different upgrades and it still quits working every three months. Samsung says it's over a year old so they don't care. The extended warranty company says they didn't come out enough times to consider it a lemon so no exchanges for a refrigerator without an ice maker. Very disappointed and will never buy another Samsung product.

Purchased the refrigerator less than two years ago and after about 18 months refrigerator stopped cooling. After we paid Samsung to fix the issue which was a faulty sensor, fridge froze up and stopped cooling again. Every time there was a loud noise coming from the fridge. Of course shuts off when you open the door. Had to replace sensor 2x. Now it looks like we have to have it replaced again. Loud fan noise coming from the fridge. Don't buy a Samsung Fridge ever. Bad design.

I have a Samsung RF25HMEDBSR/AA side by side refrigerator that is nearly 2 years old, The ice maker has been a pain since 6 months after it was purchased, the thing drips water constantly, is moldy, does not produce enough ice, etc. It is mounted in the refrigerator portion of the unit in the upper left corner. It seems like it does not stay cool enough to keep the ice fully frozen and functioning. I had the ice maker and auger replace under an extended warranty package (I have been forced to purchase the warranty to the tune of 300 plus dollars a year), because Samsung customer support will not address the issue. The ice maker failed again this weekend after functioning properly for about 4 months. Thank goodness the warranty is still in place so it will be covered. Come on Samsung there are a ton of bad reviews on this unit, step up to the plate and make this right for your loyal customers!

All I can say is that I wish I had read reviews on Samsung refrigerators before I purchased mine. I've owned Samsung TV's and smart phones that are all exceptional and I thought the same would be true with Samsung appliances but I was dead wrong. Brand new refrigerator model # RF263BEAESG - only 6 months old - started leaking water out of the left side top where electrical wires are coming out of the top of refrigerator. Contacted Samsung. They created a repair ticket. After five days and no one showed up I called the service company only to go to voice mail. Call Samsung back and they give the service ticket to another service company... same thing 2nd time - service company wouldn't come to my house. After three weeks into the ordeal, Samsung said they would refund the purchase price of my refrigerator.

To get my money back I had to provide the original sales receipt, sign a contract saying I would dispose of the old refrigerator and not continue to use it, send the labels inside the refrigerator to Samsung showing model & serial # and cut the electrical cord. After complying with Samsung's request I then get an email two weeks later saying they don't have the serial # and we cannot move forward even though they had the serial # from my initial call for service. After several days of fighting this battle I get a call from Samsung saying they found the serial # but before they can process the claim now I need to go out and purchase a new refrigerator and show them the receipt for the new purchase. In addition, I need to show them a receipt from a haul away company that disposed of my refrigerator with the leaking ice maker.

Refrigerator was purchased from Home Depot. I have contacted the manager of the particular Home Depot store but so far they haven't offered much help. I Home Depot manager that given my experience and experiences I've read about from other consumers that if I were him I will completely discontinue selling Samsung appliances. I've owned many appliances over my 72 year life span and NEVER have I EVER experienced such an horrific experience. Given the runaround I've received from Samsung I doubt very seriously I'll ever receive a refund for my refrigerator. Stay away from Samsung appliances, particularly their refrigerators.

Samsung RF263 French Door Refrigerator - It is an expensive piece of garbage. The ice maker started frosting up like a freezer from the 50's/60's a little over a year after purchase. The door bins are cracked and held together with duct tape. Now it has stopped cooling completely. After reading and trying to determine the root cause, it is clear that Samsung makes inferior refrigerators, the number of complaints are incredible. Let's not forget about their washing machines blowing up as well. Maybe, as one reviewer state, it's time for a class action suit. I 'm sure consumers initially thought purchasing a Samsung refrigerator would be a good, safe, reliable purchase, evidently a lot of us were totally wrong and subsequently disappointed.

FrenchDoor Samsung RF18HFENBSR: My less than two year old fridge not cooling fridge. Freezer still works. Many people with same issue. Fridge compartment frozen defrosted overnight. Just plugged back in still not working. No appliance repair available till next week. Thankful I have a 20 year old fridge that works in my garage to cool food. How many complaints until action taken against this matter! Fridge only has one year warranty! Shameful to spent $1400 on an appliance that the company has to be aware of poor design.

Buyer beware. Samsung will not reimburse you for out of pocket expenses for repair of their refrigerator. I purchased a French door Samsung fridge in June 2017. I tried to remove the ice bucket. It was frozen, I called customer service, the fridge was only 3 months old. Samsung sent their appliance tech over to install a new ice bucket. The tech said to unplug the fridge so the ice would melt and he could replace the defective ice bucket. I said, "Then the meat & dairy products would spoil". I was told to put it all in the bottom freezer, with dry ice on top. I said, "Who will pay for the dry ice". Samsung will reimburse me for the cost of the dry ice. Well that never happened.

After numerous phone calls I decided to contact BBB in New Jersey to file a complaint. A rep from Samsung did call after BBB sent them my complaint. Well I got a different story from the Samsung rep. Samsung does not reimburse customers for their out of pocket expenses, even if their fridge is only 3 months old. This is a Billion Dollar Corp. I told the rep and Samsung won't refund me $51.00. KEEP AWAY from Samsung appliances unless you want a pile of problems.

I purchased a Samsung french door refrigerator model #RF23HCEDBSR/AA at Home Depot on July 4, 2016 to replace my still working 23 year old Kenmore refrigerator/freezer. I also purchased a 2 year extended warranty on it. Two weeks ago I noticed anything liquid being refrigerated was freezing solid. Internet research says most likely the main control board has failed and will need to be replaced. The part runs about $130. I contacted Home Depot and they gave me the purchase order number but claim that I didn't purchase an extended warranty. Unfortunately, I can't locate my receipt.

I did register the fridge with Samsung. I contacted Samsung and they advised me the fridge was out of warranty. To have it serviced would cost $160 just to come to my home and diagnose it. Parts and labor would be extra. So I'm looking at a minimal of $300 to fix something that shouldn't have crapped out after fifteen months. After reading that thousands of other US consumers are dealing with similar issues with their Samsung appliance purchases, I'm convinced this will be my last Samsung purchase until they make good on customer complaints and take action concerning quality control.

My new Samsung refrigerator has the worse smell ever. It is so bad that it permeates the eggs, the carton on my yogurt, throughout the house every time we open the fridge door. We have emptied the fridge twice, thrown out perfectly good food, unopened containers in order to prove to the Samsung reps that it isn't bad food in the fridge. We have washed with baking soda and kept a box in the fridge. Samsung has changed out my ice machine only to find that it was cracked unbeknownst to me. They changed the rubber around the fridge doors (the gaskets) because this new fridge stopped closing correctly. They are changing out the hinges because they told me they are broken. The only thing they haven't done is figured out where the smell is coming from.

There are a number of consumer reports on this issue yet I am being told it's the food in my fridge. At this point it is a health issue. And even though they gave me an extended warranty for the door issue they tell me I will be charged in the future. I will NEVER buy SAMSUNG again. I bought my washer and dryer at the same time as my fridge to upgrade my appliances and I have never been unhappier with a company. I don't believe they will resolve this based on the attitude and the complaints I have read. I want a replacement for this defective fridge. It is just a year old.

Purchased stove, fridge, microwave. Within a month microwave acting up. Within 2 months fridge defrosts. Defective appliances. Samsung promises refund and new appliances. They make us jump through hoops while making promises including telling us to cut the electrical cord on the fridge to get refund and once we did that they stopped communicating and no refund or appliances. Absolutely disgusting people. They are sick. So much money to now own junk. My old appliances were much better. They stole our money and then put us through heck.

Looking for a new fridge freezer, there standing proudly is a Samsung American style Fridge Freezer, boasting a unique 10 year warranty on the fridge freezer COMPRESSOR. We had the item 2 years when the compressor failed and had it replaced, now a 2 further years on it fails again, we call Samsung and explain our problem with the 2 year old replaced compressor and Samsung proudly informed us YES indeed we will honour our pledge displayed on our Freezers and we shall supply you with a brand new compressor, Er BUT you will have to have it installed yourself as that is the extent of our warranty, the small print if you like, Yet another customer sucked in and duped by a multinational company. Well done. Senior citizens cough up for their own idiocy of believing the embossed sign on Samsung products. Shameful but cost effective.

The SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR RF260BEASR/AA unit I purchased on 11/2015 has the same leaking problems under the crisper drawer that other Samsung models have. I searched the internet and discovered other people have the same issue and upon contacting Samsung they advised it's out of warranty and I will be charged $80.00 trip charge and $80.00 per hour service charge. Another design flaw my unit has is the freezer drawer dumps ice to the bottom of the freezer when it's opened. Maybe a class action lawsuit needs to be started.

My beautiful Samsung French-Door Refrigerator has caused us nothing but problems. Freezing up at the back of the unit, the ice maker worked well for about 12 months and then would jam and ice over, to the point where I can't open the ice cabinet any more. Have had 2 repairs done, and $800 later it's no better. It will be going out on the front lawn in about 2 weeks, as I think that's all the life that is left in her. Many of our friends have has the same issue... not sure why there hasn't been a recall on any of the parts that we had repaired. Try Googling "issues with Samsung fridges" - and the first thing that comes up is fridge icing over... hmm... I detect a theme here. DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG FRIDGES!!! They blow...

RF18HFENBSR, less than 8 months old randomly stops cooling in both compartments. Temperature display indicates the SET temperature, not the ACTUAL temperature. No error codes (based on info from web searching the problem). If I unplug it, wait two minutes, then plug it back, the temperature displays will update to show ACTUAL temperature and unit MIGHT start cooling again. First tech "determined" it was the electrical outlet, so I moved it to another outlet. Since it started working, they decided the case was closed. When unit stop again, I called again. Samsung phone chat support says the unit needs support, but I can't get support to come out in less than a week. Meanwhile I have no refrigerator. According to my web research, this is a known problem with no known fix. It's been a total of three weeks.

We bought what we thought was the refrigerator of our dreams a HORRID Samsung RF28HDEDBSR French door 2.5 years ago. From day one wires cut and stripped in electronic computer door. Replaced it. The refrigerator fan, the entire inside back of refrigerator went out conveniently 6 days out of warranty. Replaced 4 times. Horrible customer service. They were to condemn it because of outrageous repair 4 times. $509 repair each time cost of 2 new fridges. Different answer every time. Promised to condemn and give us our money back. Laughed in our faces. Tried to sell a $1,300 warranty much to an insult.

Will not buy a Samsung anything ever. Strongly warn all consumers not to buy Samsung anything. Buyer beware. Once they have your money you are nothing nag to them and will never get it back. They are better being held accountable in a court of law for everything. They deserve a -5 star rating. Just read this month the CEO is in jail for taking bribes. That tells it all. There's your answer. Samsung has nothing to offer or give you if you dare buy junk from them. I'm telling you DON'T EVER BUY SAMSUNG EVER!! Very unhappy and fed up with their lies in giving our money back. Liars!!! Different story every call and hang up 3-5 times every time you call. Buyer beware of their unreliable poorly built everything!!! Very I'm happy. Gck shopper.

Our less than 2 year-old Samsung refrigerator is a POS. Ice maker either does not make ice or freezes big blocks and jams. Water pools in the crisper drawers and pools under the shelf and freezes. We have had all of the same ice maker issues. Samsung keeps saying that there are no reported issues. When I give them links, they say that they don't have internet access. Wow. They should be ashamed of their customer service. They want us to have a repairman come out, but it seems that no repairman has ever fixed the ice maker issue. I get it when things break. That happens. But when the design is the issue, Samsung should step up. We followed the Samsung service bulletin to no avail. It is very clear that this is a major design flaw. The newer units (ours is two years old and Samsung acts like it is thirty years old) are redesigned. Their CEO was just sentenced to jail for bribery of government officials. That says it all.

We bought this refrigerator at Lowe's Dec 2012. Sale price was $1400.00 plus tax. Our problems started about 2 years after we bought the unit. Every 2-3 months this refrigerator will start making a terrible loud noise that will stop when you open the door. After read other reviews we realized that we have to take out all of food and defrost this freezer overnight due to a build up of ice on the fan in the refrigerator side. Not only is it annoying to have to do this plus losing so much food due to this problem. I will never buy another Samsung Appliance! I'm sure I'm not the only consumer out there that feels this way!

I have bought Samsung refrigerator model RT37K3763S. This so called refrigerator cost me 37750 K in year 2016. Only first few days it worked fine. Then I've started accumulating everywhere in freezer, its ducts and cooling for lower section gone. They changed the door in first few months. Now it's one year and out of warranty.

I have same complaint after every 15 days. Standard answer is shut it down for 24 hrs... Then someone comes and changes the sensor... Someone comes and fixes the gasket... I have got loads of food wasted because this fridge just stops cooling after every few days. Multiple complaints with Samsung. They are not ready to accept that it's a faulty product. I feel completely cheated with this product and service. The company doesn't even know what the root cause of this issue is... Very poor service.

Unless you enjoy taking your fridge apart for a couple days on a routine basis to remove a back inner panel, defrost the inner workings, and then it all back together again, I do not recommend this product. We've taken it apart at least six times in the last three years. It is poorly designed. There is a clip that is supposed to help keep an evaporator drain defrosted, but it is too short. The drain freezes up, the ice backs up, goes all throughout the cooling coils, up into the wires and fan--all frozen into one solid block. I finally found a replacement clip that is longer. It is supposed to be here tomorrow--until then I have the fridge. This problem is well documented throughout the internet and this should be fixed by warranty. It's ridiculous and has soured me on Samsung entirely.

As many of us do I bought my Samsung four door refrigerator on sale at Lowe's. I paid $1,800 for a nearly $3,500 unit. I thought I was getting an awesome deal. Then the ice maker started acting up and I had to have it repaired about every 3 months until they deemed the unit defective but the repairman had told me several occasions that he come that he had prepared multitude of the exact same problem the ice maker in that exact same unit. So I tell Samsung that I really don't want to get the same unit and they you know I had been originally told that repair place it was something better. Better means more valuable and or a newer model or the exact same thing one. Now I'm being told that I have to take the $1,800 that I paid for it which I can't replace it for because it's not on sale right now and pretty much eat it even though I just bought two other matching Samsung appliances. I am pretty furious and I hope that this gets resolved.

Samsung French Door Refrigerator - I purchased a new Samsung refrigerator in January 2017. I bought a black surface to match my other appliances. I have been seeing scratches on the door surface around the handles and called Samsung today regarding this defect in the paint. I was advised that the damage was not under warranty and would require a service call. The repair company advised that there would be a $110 fee to come look at the damage, Not only that but the only way to repair would be to order new doors. I am pretty sure that the scratches were caused by our fingernails when reaching for the handle. I guess we need to use gloves every time we open the refrigerator! I will never buy another Samsung product.

I am tired and fed up! I bought a side by side refrigerator and have no success getting resolution for the ice buildup which is constantly reoccurring in the back of my unit. They have sent the technicians countless times without success. I received a call from Samsung last week to ask me how things were. I told them that it was still doing the same thing after the many visits. Each time a technician showed up, they stated that they were not going to be able to fix the issue but had to initiate the specific instructions for repair before Samsung would provide a voucher or some other method of enabling me to go and get a replacement.

When I talk to them the other night they created another case number with instructions. The tech came today, called Samsung and let them know that the refrigerator was not repairable as provided in the instructions. The rep on the phone said, "It doesn't work like that." Well you know what else doesn't work like that? Willingly offering a product to the consumer which you know has repetitive like kind issues and failing to prevent a product with well-known and documented faulty design or function to be sold with intent of telling your customer; I'm not going to make good on my promise, I really don't care that you're having issues, I'm not interested in knowing whether you are happy or not and It doesn't work like that.

I have been cooperative and have done everything I have been asked to do by your representatives and this has gone on for 2-1/2 months straight now. It seems clear that you have no intent on standing by your product. I believe your warranty policy is deceptive to say the least. I don't think I'm asking too much. I got a problem, and I just want it fixed without further delay. It looks like there are plenty of others who share the same sentiment. I don't want to have to take legal action, please don't make me.

I have an 8-year-old $2000 brushed aluminum Samsung refrigerator. Recently I noticed that it was not cooling properly so I called Samsung, gave all product info, and was referred to a repair facility (Cyberworld in Norcross, Ga). The Samsung tech who came to diagnose problem informed me that my fridge was too old to fix and that I should just buy a new one. I was charged a $95 diagnostic fee, even though the tech did nothing except open the fridge and tell me it wasn't worth fixing.

I called Samsung on 9/1 (more than 3 weeks ago) and have called back every business day since then to get some sort of customer service. Each Samsung rep tells me something different. I ask names and employee numbers, take notes on each conversation, and all calls are supposedly recorded. Yet the Samsung rep who takes my call NEVER knows anything, always tells me that my claim is being escalated, and I will receive a call back from supervisor within 24-48 hours. How many calls have I received during this 3-week period? Zero, zilch, nada... NOT ONE!!! I am done with shoddy Samsung products. I am done with appallingly bad Samsung customer service. Samsung, YOU SUCK.

VERY disappointed with Samsung. We purchased all Samsung stainless steel appliances less than 4 years ago. ALL have had continuous problems. Fridge ice maker always jams up with ice and cracked the inside, Back panel of the fridge freezes up causing the fan to stop and have to unthaw entire fridge every time. (Bye bye to all your groceries while it takes all day to warm up).

Dishwasher racks now need tie straps to hold them up as the brackets continuously crumble into pieces, and we have had to take off the front panel and fix electrical problems, door seal leaks and dishes are ALWAYS coming out dirty. Tried every brand of soap, jet dry, even rinsed dishes before they go in. We even have the one that is suppose to gar-borate your food, doesn't work!

Samsung STOVE: electrical plug melted my toaster cord, glass top cracked on its on, Yes, I'm very careful and it didn't have a scratch on it, ON ITS ON, while warming up, it cracked. I'm very disappointed and hope NO ONE buys from them. What a waste of money when they can't even make it 4 years. And don't bother phoning into Samsung, They are absolutely no help if you are past 1 year warranty.

I'm in the same boat. Samsung Fridge ice maker worked fine for 2 years, now it is dead. Exact same issues as everyone else. Have had it serviced multiple times, last person that looked at it said it was basically not repairable. Stay away from Samsung and LG products! No more Korean products for me. The service rep. I talked to recommended GE and Whirlpool.

The worst product I bought last year, Samsung 5 in 1 551L RT56K6378SL/TL refrigerator. Do not burn your hard earned money on Samsung India products. I bought the refrigerator for Approx 68000/- and the motherboard on it went bad as if the timer was set to go bad when out of warranty after one year. Now they want to charge me another Rs4000/- to replace the motherboard. Samsung India uses all faulty, substandard products. DON'T BUY anything from Samsung India.

We bought the Samsung Refrigerator Aug.2012 model #RF217ACBP, French doors with Freezer at the bottom. Have been disappointed that it started freezing everything in the vegetable drawer. We have had two different repair companies out to work on it, one of which is authorized repair shop. Within a few weeks it is back freezing the veggies again. We thought we were buying a quality product but now we think not. We are not pleased that the only fix is every few weeks we have someone out to thaw out the line. The repairman has called in to Samsung for a permanent fix. We will not buy another Samsung refrigerator.

Now I have what looks like small bubbles under the glass top. All I can say is never buy SAMSUNG. Fridge Model # RF28HMEDBSR/AA Stove model # NE595ROABSR/AA purchased 11/20014.

I bought a Samsung 4 door convertible refrigerator 3 years ago. Several months ago the top refrigerator compartment was no longer cooling. I visited the Samsung website and created a service ticket. Within a couple days I had a Samsung technician at my home to diagnose and repair my refrigerator. After 15 minutes the tech informed me that my refrigerator was unrepairable. The technician said my refrigerator had a 5 yr warranty on the closed system and he would upload pictures and his report to my service ticket and I should expect a call from Samsung within a couple days.

Following two weeks, numerous phone calls, and hours on hold I received an offer from Samsung to buy my refrigerator back for the purchase price plus tax. At this point I was relatively satisfied even though my family had been without a refrigerator for over two weeks. That was 5 weeks ago and still no check and no resolution in sight. I have contacted Samsung numerous times and all I get is excuses and runaround. I had read numerous complaints about Samsung's poor customer service, but I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt; they have failed me. Needless to say there will never be another Samsung product in this house. Appliance buyers beware.

I recently purchased a 22.2 cubic foot Family Hub 2.0 refrigerator. All I can say is that this is one of, if not THE best I've ever purchased. It's very handy to be at the store and be able to look inside my fridge to see what I need. I can't imagine having any other type of appliance, and will use Samsung for all of my appliances.

New Samsung refrigerator installed June 15, 2017. On Sep 6, 2017 (less than 3 months later), it stopped cooling. We are still waiting on it to be repaired or replaced. Getting the runaround and now the compressor finally arrived but it was damaged. What a JOKE! I'd like to give this a negative 5 stars.

5-yr-old fridge a total loss - NEVER buying SAMSUNG fridge again! Lasted 5 years. Stopped cooling completely. Independent appliance repair pro told me that these products are terrible. To fix, would have to either replace a $400 motherboard, or an $800 compressor. Fridge was around 1200 new. Samsung customer service of no help past 1 year warranty. Absolute garbage. Samsung fridges SUCK!

Updated on 08/02/2018: It has continually built up of ice, under the ice maker every 5/6 weeks. Have notice partially melted ice in the storage bucket, in which it jams the ice dispenser. Either I use a hair dryer to defrost or chip the sheet of ice off the ice maker. To free the ice out of the ice maker bucket I run warm water through it. Have updated the motherboard, and replaced the ice maker twice. With one new revision, that has a physical square rectangle water intake housing. None of these parts fixed my problems!

Original review: I have a Samsung Refrigerator model RF263BEAESRAA purchased on 6/13. Ice seems to build up on bottom of ice maker & also around ice dispenser rod to the point in which it'll freeze solid & will no longer dispense ice. Every week I'm having to dump out semi-melted ice out of the ice jammed dispenser & ice that's build up that's located under the ice maker. Having replaced ice maker, motherboard, auger motor & fan assembly. It's still doing the same thing as far as ice building up.

Samsung RF4267hars/xaa refrigerator - Bought this pile of garbage, (first new fridge I ever bought and paid 2 grand) and just before the warranty ran out I started having problems with loud noise coming from the back of the unit. Then the freezer stopped working. Samsung blew me off repeatedly until the warranty ran out. An appliance repairman came and said many units having the same issue and took apart the freezer back and used my hairdryer to melt the ice keeping the fan from spinning. Dried everything off and it ran well for a while until the issue returned so periodically I have to empty the freezer and heat the back, unplug the unit and hope it runs. Now the ice maker isn't producing ice. I don't have any money left to replace this unit so I'm stuck with this and losing food as well. If there is a class action suit against Samsung, will someone let me know so I can join?

I bought a Samsung fridge, three times I have had Telefix technicians out to look at fridge as it on 3 times it has had water under the crisper. First time the back panel gets changed. Leaks again so 2nd time gets same procedure not to mention puts a slight crack on panel, leaks again. 3rd time technician? Blame the 2nd one for his workmanship. And reckons nothing wrong? Yet water? Told him not happy he puts in a report saying nothing wrong? Goes to apparently case manager Samsung. Telling me they can't do anything, yet I have 10 year concierge warranty and if they get someone else out I have to pay? I don’t think so.

And how many times do I have to them out because of their fault in appliance, which was also stated by the technician that the new model fridges has the exact problem as my fridge does... I have 20 year old LG fridge and never had one problem. If I wanted a fridge that leaks water I would buy one. So why are Samsung making fridges with the same problem and selling them? Rectify the problem. And you will have happy customers. Still want to know so what are they going to do about my fridge… Angry customer.

We purchased a new Samsung Refrigerator two months ago. (French doors with two drawers) Overall, I am satisfied with the refrigerator, with the exception of nothing really fits inside the left side door shelves. The issue I am having was with the customer support area. We spilled ice tea in the refrigerator and it has seeped under the glass on the bottom shift. I contacted the 1 800 726 7864 phone number and was told it would be over a 30 minute hold time and I could leave a number for a return call from a technician and I did. The call back was from an individual with not a technician with experience. She more interested in collecting purchasing data than support and I final explained all I wanted was help in how to remove the shelf so I could clean it. There was a long hold and she was looking up answers from a prompter and taking more time to key the conversation than help.

Since I was having issues understanding the person and we were wasting our time I asked to be transferred to someone else. I was told they could not do that because the call came to her area basically. Totally disappointed in there customer support for such easy question. If you purchase from Samsung you will get little support from customer services.

I have a french door refrigerator, model RF197ACWP, that was purchased 6 years ago. In the past 2 years we have had it worked on for collecting water in the crisper drawers and water and ice on the bottom shelf. We have spent over $600 on repairs and the problem continues. I have read many reviews now with the same issue. Over the past 2 months, through numerous phone calls, I have spent around 4 hours on the phone with Samsung, trying to get some compensation. I have been giving inaccurate information, transferred to the wrong department, hung up on, put on hold and never returned to, been spoken to in a rude way and many other discouraging encounters.

It felt as though they were purposefully trying to shake me from pursuing this issue! I have never felt so disrespected by a company. The last thing they told me is that I will be reimbursed part of the cost of the refrigerator, but they have not followed through on any of the steps yet, which they told me would be weeks ago! I am so discouraged by the product and customer service. I guess I will now be looking into signing up for a class action suit or whatever else can be done.

WISH I COULD GIVE NEGATIVE STARS!!! Two big lemons. Won't go into too much detail as all of us seem to have the same complaint. Ice maker freezes up. Now cannot even open the container. Shut off the fridge for 24 hours? Really? Where do I store all my food in the meantime? Have a neighborhood bbq? Already had repair people twice. 700 dollars. No better. Dishwasher same thing. Repair x 2. First time covered. Second time $350. Now dead. So $1000 + in a hole. Such disgust I cannot explain. Will buy a new d/w before I repair. Refrig, I don't know what to do.

SAMSUNG IS GARBAGE!!! STICK TO PHONES AND TV'S. DON'T MAKE AN EXPENSIVE MISTAKE LIKE WE DID. THEIR ADVICE STINKS TOO. How do you tell someone to shut off a refrigerator for 24 hours, just to defrost and have the situation happen again. And we as consumers have no recourse. Just work, spend hard earned money for products while CEO's and lame engineers design inferior goods. Wow, some 21st century.

We purchased a Samsung refrigerator instead of another brand for two reasons. One I liked the french door in the middle, and second we had numerous other Samsung electronic products and they performed well. That was our first mistake. Just because a company makes a good Television doesn't mean they know how to design and build an equally well performing refrigerator. About all I can say about it is that it does freeze but from there on forget it. The ice maker and in particular the dispenser "suck". We never get only cubes, we also get crushed along with the cubes and the crushed flies all over. After 2-1/2 years I'm ready to give up.

You've heard the phrase, "Let the buyer beware"? Well, if you're reading this post and all the others like it in anticipation of purchasing a refrigerator, I would STRONGLY advise you to take heed! This refrigerator is a poorly designed, sub-standard product (in fact, so sub-standard it would have to climb a mountain just to get to a minimum-acceptable-proficiency level...). Mine has only been in use for 2 1/2 years, and we've had multiple issues, including most of the ones discussed in previous reviews. Currently, it has power, but neither the refrigerator nor freezer is working at all. Dealing with Samsung is difficult, as other reviewers have stated, and I've been without a functioning fridge/freezer for 12 days. Mine is the French door model with the additional drawer and the ice-maker. I thought I had done my homework before I purchased this refrigerator, but clearly I did not research enough.

Perhaps the fact that the most reputable appliance dealers in our town don't carry Samsung should have been a clue! If you are planning to purchase a new refrigerator, I hope you learn from my mistake and avoid Samsung. If not, you will likely soon find yourself unhappily a member of the ripped-off Samsung-appliance-owner family!

Our 7 year old Samsung French Door refrigerator stopped cooling for unknown reasons a few days ago. I called Lowe's to get a recommendation for a Samsung repairman and they said that FA Display had the experts. The repairman said it would cost $80 to diagnose the problem and estimate the repair cost. Within 15 minutes he determined it was a Freon leak which could cost as much as $800 to fix. But no guarantee. He agreed that a new fridge was a wiser option.

We bought a new Whirlpool and I sold our old fridge on Craig's list for $20 rather than paying Lowe's $15 to recycle it. The buyer of my old refrigerator called me the evening of the sale to thank me and he felt obligated to inform me that his neighbor, a repairman for Sears, fixed the fridge simply by replacing a blown 20amp fuse. FA Display stuck with their assessment and would not take up the offer to visit the buyers home to confirm the fridge was repaired and working. I am simply asking for a return of the money I spent for the expert Samsung repairman's 15 minute diagnosis that he gave in error or as a bad guess. Repeated calls have fallen on deaf ears which is typical of other complaints I've read. No more Samsung appliances for us and we will share our story with friends considering Samsung appliances.

I had a 32-year old refrigerator and NEVER needed a repair or new part. I bought a Samsung only because I remodeled a small kitchen and needed a relatively small refrigerator for the intended space. I have owned it less than two years. Water accumulates under the drawers and in the drawers; I need to soak up the water almost daily or it will spill out onto the floor. Samsung told me to contact a repairman in my area. I tried to find a Samsung repairman and discovered that "none exist in my area!" I will never buy a Samsung product again.

We purchased a Samsung refrigerator in 02/2017. We are now waiting the third time to have it fixed. The major board that controls everything freezes up. We lose all the food. This time it will take 10 days to get the replacement part. We did get the protection plan but the company that fixes the refrigerator never has the parts. It has to break four times with exactly the same problem before they will replace. It is only 2 years old and cost $2500.00. NEVER will we ever buy a Samsung again. Why haven't these been taken off the market?

It is getting ridiculous. Bought brand new July 2016 and it has not stopped having problems. Water leaking out of ice maker filling up canal leaking all over fridge build up corrosion and all over floor, lost lots of food. Top shelf freezing. Crackling, popping or clicking sound. Ice build up. Slushy ice comes out. Ice spews out all over. Leak in bins and under bins and on and in freezer.

Updated on 06/16/2019: Well, hello folks! It’s been a couple of years since I last posted. Still the same old fridge complaints. The repair guy has been here at least 4 more times since 2017. Same repairs, circuit boards, etc. THIS time he said Non-Repairable! But it’s ok, the company said they would send a check for 800 dollars. Seems they subtract the prior repairs from your purchase price!! How clever!! Which means the extended warranty is a joke! Hey!! Guess what! I paid a lot more than $800! I now am so sick of Samsung, that I will never, never again be so foolish. Btw the Samsung microwave has been just as bad. This has got to stop. These companies are not concerned about longevity, just sales. I’m ashamed of them.

Original Review: Well, fridge is blowing the circuit breaker again. 2nd time in less than 2 yrs. Took 2 mos. the first time to get it fixed, wonder how long this time? H. H. Gregg in Cincinnati is now out of business, although they wasn't much help in the first place, and ext. warranty is dragging their feet again. All brand new appliances after we got our new house, fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, washer, etc. controls on the stove never have worked right. Anything below 3 on the burners may work, may not. I wish I just had a fridge that cooled, let alone the icemaker working. Supposedly a couple circuit boards went bad the 1st time, and it's doing the same thing this time.

So we are patiently waiting for a serviceman to call back, meantime living out of a couple of coolers. BUYING SAMSUNG WAS WITHOUT A DOUBT the BIGGEST MISTAKE OF OUR LIVES!!! This company doesn't care about ANYTHING, except selling you a bill of goods! Well, they sold me once, but NEVER again. I thought they were a good company. Apparently not.

I have the same model as listed here. Ice maker started acting up about 16 months after purchase. Started with freeze up and no ice production. Best Buy's Geek Squad repaired it and it worked OK for about four weeks and then it turned into a slush maker. Currently Geek Squad is in route with all new parts to rebuild it again. I really feel like it's going to be a lemon of a refrigerator. Apparently all the new Samsung models the ice maker is now down in the freezer compartment. Anybody know how many repairs it takes before there's just a full one recall?

I am another victim of Samsung's faulty refrigerator coils. We purchased our Samsung counter depth refrigerator (RF18HFENBSR) just over 1 year ago. It is already failing. It will not cool, water pools in the crisper drawers and underneath the drawers. Samsung refuses to acknowledge the issue that so many consumers are having with their faulty product. Samsung French Door refrigerator (and Samsung dishwasher) - We bought both of these appliances when we built our new house in 2011. The dishwasher lasted 18 months and the integrated pump (they use one pump for both inlet and drain) failed. Spent about $300 on the new pump that failed again after 6 months. Last month the refrigerator just quit -- no refrigeration no freezer. After waiting 4 weeks for Samsung's contract repair service (A&E) and their rescheduling we bought a new GE refrigerator. The installer said that he typically sees the Samsung refrigerator totally fail after the 6th or 7th year. Great company, huh -- "planned failure" to try to sell more products.

I couldn't hate Samsung and their POS products any more than I do right now. Our refrigerator started acting up when it was 3.5 years old. Occasional loud grinding noises that we thought was the fan scraping against a buildup of ice. Almost a year later the noises stopped and the fridge temperature went up to where it was barely keeping the fridge cool enough to be functional. A repairman came, diagnosed and fixed the issue very quickly and cheaply, and we were quite satisfied. Until it stopped working again less than 30 days later. Now the same repairman thinks it's a seal system issue, which his company doesn't address. Was told our issue would be expedited because we can't live without a refrigerator. That was a week ago.

Samsung initially said a new repair company would contact us within 24 - 48 hours. I had to call back 3 times after that window to finally get a service repair number from them. IT WAS THE NUMBER OF THE SAME COMPANY THAT ALREADY CAME TO THE HOUSE AND SAID THEY WERE UNABLE TO FIX IT. Called Samsung again, and they gave me another number to call. That company ALSO said they don't address seal system issues. Called Samsung AGAIN. Now they don't know if there's anybody in our area who can address this issue. But not to worry, because they'll call me in 24 - 48 hours to let me know if they've found somebody! Meanwhile I'm supposed to give my toddler spoiled milk with his takeout dinner? I'll drop dead before I EVER buy another Samsung product.

Bought a brand new Samsung refrigerator 3 months ago. This past Friday it died. Lost a fridge full of food and ruined my hardwood floor from all ice melting. Called and they couldn't get out til Monday. They said I would receive a call later that day with an appointment time. Never got a call. They showed up without notice on Monday morning. Tech said it needed major repairs and they wouldn't have the parts til Friday. That's 8 days without a fridge. Called Samsung call center to complain and they didn't offer anything to help us.

Asked to speak with a manager. The response received was you are unable to talk to a manager. Asked for an email address for a manager. Nope not an email address either. What type of call center or any business doesn't have a manager on duty. That is an absolute lie. They just don't want to be bothered. We planned on remodeling our kitchen with all Samsung appliances. Not any longer. DO NOT BUY ANY SAMSUNG APPLIANCES!

Bought Samsung refrigerator (RFA267HAWP/XA ) in 2012 from HHgregg. Now 2017 found Pitting and rust underneath paint on both lower corners of water dispenser of door frame. Went online filed complaint and sent pictures. Called 1-800-726-7864 again and talked with customer representative, was told we were out of date for service. I advised that Samsung has a flaw, defect in their product -- the product is now rusting and what can you do to fix it. Here is the drum roll >>> they can send out a tech to look at the problem and fix the problem, But this is at the customer's cost and not covered by Samsung. Another Samsung product crossed off my product list for the future.

RF24FSEDBSR Apr 2013 Counter Depth French Door 7 repairs already. Samsung HORRIBLE to deal with, keep "losing" my information. Then get handed off to someone who "will get to the bottom of this" and never calls back. Get through to same number, guess what... No record of my call but they will get right on it... Keep asking me to use my extended warranty vs admitting it is a defect.

Ice maker completely freezes up, stop working leaks... shorts out the board on the deli drawer... replaced 3 times won't stop making alarm sounds from door... 3 ice makers later still same issue... Repair man said, "this fridge keeps us in business." "Seal is a joke" and repair parts already more than a new fridge but Samsung has paid $0.00 so they don't care. We bought the fridge for the ice maker as our son has severe medical condition and his meds/foods need icing at all times. This just sucks for over $3000.00 refrigerator. Samsung do the right thing and replace this nightmare.

Purchased a Samsung French Door Refrigerator with the ice maker located in the food compartment, not the freezer section (in 2015/2014 mfg date). Should have suspected the design, but purchased it anyway. The in-door dispenser pushes a slushy watery mix for the initial action. Then I get soft ice cubes for the rest of the fill. Every two weeks or so, I have to remove the Ice Maker tray unit and chip the ice accumulation on the roof of the ice maker because the ice is clogged with an ice dam and will not make ice cubes. First guess is too much moisture in the ice maker unit. QUESTION: Is there any way to get the ice maker unit colder so the ice won't melt, causing these issues?

On the advice of a salesman at Lowe's we purchased a Samsung side by side (model RF197ACWP). He did tell me that there had been some problems with the icemaker so I tried to buy one without an icemaker. Not possible. I'm very handy; when it arrived, I thought it would be a simple matter to remove. Not so; when you try and remove it, the refrigerator doesn't work. I managed to figure out the wiring and bypassed the icemaker and removed it. Worked for one year, four months before the problems began--pools of water and icing under the vegetable and meat bins; paint began coming off the handles.

I found a Youtube that told me how to deal with the pools of water under the vegetable and meat bins--a 30-40 minute operation that has to be done every two or three months. Repainted the handles with epoxy paint. (Fortunately they were white). Then the vegetable drawer began freezing lettuce, vegetables, etc. Tried recommended "fixes"--nothing worked. Replaced sensor. No improvement. At that point, I called a local repair service--the tech laughed and said that Samsung was helping him with his retirement. His best guess was that it was the mother board (he's replaced several). Repair would be about $250. But he went on to say that, if the refrigerator were his, he would head straight to the county dump and leave it there. What a piece of crap.

Like everyone else who has written a review, I purchased my Samsung French Door Refrigerator two years ago. I realize I am adding nothing new to all of the other complaints regarding this horrible refrigerator. I replaced my ice maker twice and it still freezes up completely. I am now experiencing the second big complaint in that if I use the water dispenser, water leaks and pools in the deli drawer. My appliance service provider explained that it is a design flaw and it simply cannot be repaired. I would never purchase anything from Samsung again.

I have had the worst experience with my FIRST and LAST Samsung purchase. My fridge like many others has the issue of the drain tube freezing causing water to drain into your vegetable drawers and under the drawers. It took me a few months to determine this was actually the fridge causing this and not my kids with water bottles. The first agent I spoke to said "well why did you wait so long to call, it’s not like this started yesterday". After explaining that I initially thought my kids were placing open water bottles and they were spilling, I was told that I was not covered under warranty as my unit was made in 2014 even though I didn't purchase it till 2015.

The agent asked me for proof of purchase and even after I explained it was purchased from a lease to own I was assured that if I had not had the unit for 2 years I would be covered. I sent in my proof of purchase then was told it was not valid and they needed my lease agreement. I again was assured that once that was sent in that Executive Relations has given the go ahead to cover this issue at no cost. I sent in the lease agreement as requested to then be told that I was OOO since the unit was manufactured in 2014 even after I was told they would cover it. I have spoken to several advisors and not one has been able to locate the previous notes on what has been told to me. This has now been an ongoing back and forth for the last 3 weeks. This is a well-known issue on this model and it’s beyond disappointing that a company like Samsung does not rectify the issue when a customer calls in concerning this WELL KNOWN ISSUE.

After 3 weeks of back and forth calling I now have to wait another 24-48 hours for the service company to call me and then I still don't know if I will be covered for this issue. I will not ever purchase a Samsung product just in the fact that they are not willing to make things right with a first time customer with a known issue. Customer service goes a long long way and unfortunately Samsung has proven I'm replaceable and don't need me as a customer.

I purchased this refrigerator in December 2011. It worked like a charm until earlier this year, when the warranty ran out. We had ice build up in back of fridge. Called for service and the first person did not look at the issue; he just ordered the part and we had to pay before it was delivered to us. Second repair person was terrific. He fixed the problem and found the original issue which was a part the first guy never ordered. We thought we were all set for another five years. Now the freezer has ice buildup under the drawer and the door binds when closing. I hate to spend another 500 dollars and not know what will happen next. We will definitely not be buying Samsung appliances in the future.

I bought RF28HDEDBSR Samsung french door refrigerator in Nov 2014 from Home Depot Canada with ESP for 4 years. Come Feb 2017, the refrigerator started making annoying sounds, sometimes for the whole day. I requested a service under ESP with Comerco. Response I got that as long as the sound is not affecting the functionality of the unit, they can't fix it. Within a week or so the fridge stopped working (freezer part was fine). I filed another complaint to Comerco, the technician visited us and said a part needs to be replaced and it would take 1-2 weeks to come as it was back ordered.

We were without the fridge for more than 2 weeks. Anyways, within 10 days or so the part was replaced and we were able to use the fridge. Like they say good times never last for long, it happened again. The refrigerator stopped working again in August 2017 (similar to the last time it started with the unit making loud noise). I called up Comerco again, this time I asked them to provide me a permanent solution to the problem. It's been more than a week now when we are without the fridge. According to comerco, it might take another 1-2 weeks to get it fixed as the part is back ordered (as usual). So big NO to the Samsung refrigerators. Problems with Home Depot's extended service plan with comerco will be explained in a different review.

I purchased a Samsung Chef Edition Refrigerator (RF34H9960S4) a little less than a year ago. These are not cheap fridges. Both shelves on the right door are cracking in the middle. When I called they informed me that they don't replace personally damaged items. If using the shelves may lead to personally damaging them, we shouldn't use them. I now have to pay for new shelves, that most likely will crack again. Please think very hard about whether you want to purchase this item.

I, too, am in possession of a Samsung refrigerator with a corroding door. The fridge is 3+ years old and the area below the ice maker is corroding. The refrigerator is black and the spot where it is starting to corrode is very noticeable and is embarrassing to say the least. Obviously it was a really bad design and the door should be replaced. The warranty does not cover the "cosmetic" issue but I feel this is a workmanship issue that should be covered and is a product that is deficient and Samsung should provide new doors. I have called Samsung twice who told me that I should call the retailer who I purchased the extended warranty from and the retailer told me to call the manufacturer. I will not make another purchase of any Samsung product and will not use the retailer any longer.

Purchased Samsung side by side counter depth refrigerator one year ago and the compressor has already failed. Samsung has been terrible to deal with. They cannot provide any certified repair person in my area so I hired someone to diagnose the issue but after 2 weeks and providing all the documents to Samsung still no resolution from Samsung. We also bought the entire kitchen package together and the dishwasher does a terrible job. Stay away from Samsung appliance.

We bought a Samsung French door refrigerator two years ago. Our ice maker has gone out and we need another one. Upon looking on the parts on the Samsung website it says "It is NOT available." Really? How do they think the people are suppose to fix the ice maker? The last refrigerator we had the ice maker went out in a year. We called the Co. and they said "It COULDN'T be fixed." What do they think we are suppose to do? Keep buying refrigerator? The next one I buy will NOT have an ice maker in the door.

Needed repairs within 3 years. Called first appliance repair company not with Samsung. Defrosted it and with service call charged me 296.00. Told me the noise and ice buildup was a compressor issue. Called Samsung and got a certified Samsung technician for another service call fee. Had the parts already to fix it. Apparently, they have problems with drainage, which backs up and causes freezing up. Not apparently under the warranty, though I am sure they know this French door model has these issues, or they would not have their technicians know exactly what is causing the issues and come prepared to fix it. I will never buy a Samsung refrigerator again. Rip off! I am $600.00 in the hole for repairs for their faulty design. They should stand behind their bad designs and fix them at no cost!

I never take time to write a review so please take the following seriously. This is the worst purchase I have made. The ice machine constantly freezes and creates an ice dam making it impossible to operate. The customer service is non-existent. The warranty is worthless. If you value your time and your money look elsewhere, do not be tempted by pricing. Not only would I not purchase another Samsung product, I wouldn't take one if it was given to me for free. Samsung Model RF22KREDBSR.

In March of 2015 my wife and I bought a Samsung 22.5 cu. ft French Door Refrigerator and the Samsung Protection Plus Plan. This refrigerator's initial cost was $2,498.40 and the Protection Plus Plan cost was approximately $700. Beginning in late June 2017 the ice maker began to develop problems making ice cubes and finally just made watered slushy ice. I called the Samsung phone number listed on the Protection Plus contract 1-800-726-7864 and explained the problem. First problem was I could barely understand the staff person I was speaking to. Secondly I further explained I had the extended protection plan and needed service. I was given a repair ticket number and told I would be contacted within 48 hours.

I received a call from a service company that Samsung contacted and was told there was a charge to come out and then additionally a charge for the repair. I was told their company did not accept the Samsung Protection Plan and to call Samsung back. It should be noted in my area there are VERY few repair companies that accept the Samsung Protection Plus Plan or even want to service their refrigerators. I was told by a repairman parts are very difficult to get. Subsequently I once again called Samsung and once again explained I need my refrigerator serviced under the Protection Plan. I will not go into detail of how many times I had to call Samsung which took a month to finally get the refrigerator supposedly repaired in late July 2017. However, even after the service repair the ice maker still does not function properly.

It is now early August 2017 and I once again called Samsung and explained to their staff the ice maker still is not working properly. I once again was given a repair ticket number and once again was contacted by the same company that wanted to charge for a service call. I did some research and found the phone number to Samsung Protection Plus Tech Support. I called that number and explained the problem and am still awaiting a call from the company that performed the last service repair. In conclusion, I would NEVER BUY ANY SAMSUNG APPLIANCE having experienced firsthand the quality of their product. Additionally, their Samsung Protection Plus Plan is a serious JOKE and is a total waste of money. I plan on submitting for a refund of the money we paid for the protection plan which is possible per information within the contract.

In June 2015 we bought a new 2016 Fleetwood Bounder RV that had a Samsung french door residential refrigerator! We started having trouble with the fridge part getting to 50-60 degrees but the freezer remained at -2 11 months later! Samsung said it went out of warranty in March 2016, probably when it was installed in the RV! NOT when we took possession! They sent a repairman out and he claimed he fixed it but a few months later we had same issue!

They gave us a list of authorized repair businesses in our area. We have to take it back to Camping World where we purchased it so they can pull it out from the cabinet it is in. One business Samsung recommended won't work on one in an RV, another showed up before we were back from our trip and before the date we had the appointment set for!! Cannot get them to answer the phone and never return our call! The other was set up to be at Camping World last Thursday at 9 AM and the corporate office called at 6:30 Wednesday night and cancelled because they closed that location!

Samsung will not stand behind the crappy refrigerators they make! Why is anyone still selling this crap? Fleetwood says it is a Samsung warranty problem, Samsung says it is out of warranty although they never resolved the issue when it was under warranty and none of the authorized service centers will work on Samsung!! Camping World is no help! And our Good Sam extended warranty says it was a pre-existing problem! We are tired of living out of a cooler when we camp! We are frustrated that no one will claim responsibility for crappy merchandise! Fed up! I can't add pictures or any information because our RV is at Camping World waiting for a solution!

Design flaw in Samsung refrigerator model RF28HDEDBSR - Very Poor Quality. Purchased on 5/20/15. On 2/15/17, the fridge part iced over behind a plastic panel and stopped working. Something is wrong with the design. It makes a horrible noise when the fan is hitting the ice before it quits. On 8/7/17, it stopped working again after service for this problem on 6/26/17. The replacement part is on back-order! We wish we didn't buy this refrigerator.

We purchased ALL of our appliances in December of 2015 from a local Rosner's in West Palm Beach Florida where we bought all Samsung, w/d, dishwasher, stove, refrigerator and microwave. The ice maker never worked properly and from the first year we had problems. We had build up of ice in the freezer if we put too many items in it and had to use a hair dryer on occasion to defrost it so it would work properly.

We chose not to purchase the extended warranty but thought we would have little to no issues in the first few years at least. We chose NOT to install a Samsung brand water filter to save money but realized that was not a good idea. Now we are without ice, water and have spent an extra $200+ on repairman who can't figure out the problem. It is my first major purchase of appliances in my 50 years and I now know I should have listened to recommendations that Samsung has too many problems and they are too expensive to maintain and I should have got GE products. Unfortunately, that isn't the case. If you have any suggestions, we appreciate your input.

I, too, am in possession of a Samsung refrigerator with a rusting door. The fridge is 4 years old and the area below the ice maker is rusting through from water leaking down the inside of the door. I am very careful to remove the tray and dry the area with great frequency, to have avoided such a problem. Obviously it is a really bad design and should be replaced. This is not a question of warranty, but of a product that is deficient and Samsung should provide new doors as customer service. I will not make another purchase of any Samsung product.

I bought a Samsung RF28HMEDBSR French door refrigerator 12/11/15 and it is not working correctly. I called an authorized repairman and they have replaced the ice maker, ice bin, auger for ice maker, some kind of filter on the back and it is still the same. They now say I need 2 defroster 1 for the top and 1 for the freezer. I have already spent a lot of money on this sorry refrigerator. The ice maker is still freezing up, dripping water and not keeping proper temperature. I am very unhappy with all this on a 1 1/2 year old refrigerator. My repairman won't even answer my calls now.

My Samsung refrigerator is still under factory warranty (5-years). The freezer compressor, heat exchanger & filter dryer went out. Contacted Samsung at least 10 times over the past two weeks. Their contractor that does their warranty repair does not have any certified technicians in my area and advised me to go back to Samsung for them to locate a certified technician. Samsung states they don't have any certified technicians and they will refund me up to $1954.00 (key word "up to"). However it will take 10-14 days for their finance dept. to verify the amount and issue a check. That means 30 days without a freezer compartment.

I need ice to pack on my wife's leg for her knee replacement surgery. Temps. here in So. Calif. have been running between 100f and 114f. Constant running to store to obtain ice. The sad part is every time I speak with their rep. on the phone the issue will be taken care of in 3 days. Never will I buy a Samsung product again. Their service is terrible.

We have had our refrigerator for about 3 years, thank goodness we bought the extended warranty, when we started having problems it freezing up behind the back panel of the refrigerator. Also the temperature and humidity was good. The repairman came out 3 times, each time we had to empty the refrigerator let it thaw (actually, we couldn't store a lot in it because it wasn't cool enough). Finally Samsung wanted the repairman to film himself using this specific tool unclog a line, after a week they could not find the tool. According to the repairman this is a known problem for the Samsung refrigerators. Finally of weeks not being able to use the refrigerator, we got a replacement check. I love the design of the refrigerator but don't ever want to deal with this again. Now I am trying to figure out what brand to buy. I think they all have problems.

My husband and I needed a new refrigerator, after our Kenmore finally bit the dust. We opted to try a different brand, "Just because", I guess we wanted a change. We went to the big-box appliance store, hoping to find something fabulous! The salesman was pleasant enough, and he seemed to be knowledgeable about all of the brands they carried. We really seemed impressed with the Samsung. It was super bright, as it was really well lit on the inside. He touted the greatness of the "Cooling Door" feature, telling us it would keep our milk, OJ, etc nice and cold, and offer easy access so we wouldn't have to open the whole door to get our most-used items. It's never an easy task figuring out how an empty refrigerator will work when you load it up at home.

It wasn't a good thing, when the repairmen had to order a new door the day it got delivered, as it was non-functioning for the water/ice. It also was damaged, so I should have known we were in for it! I've had the repair techs out 4 more times in 2 years. The thermostat will not keep a steady temp. It either freezes everything, or it gets dangerously warm! We lost an entire refrigerator/freezer's worth of food to excessive warmth. I spoke with Samsung directly, and the rep told me to take all of the spoiled food out of the garbage, photograph it and send the photos to them! WHAT??!! It was right in the middle of the summer! No way were we going trash-picking! I purchased 2 thermometers specifically for refrigerators/freezers to monitor the temp. Never consistent... The ice dispenser leaks water down the front of the fridge, so I have to keep a washcloth on the cup holder shelf.

The front of the refrigerator is stained from the water on the stainless steel all the time. The inside has a crack right where you open the door. The freezer is horrible to utilize. The top drawer doesn't pull all the way out, so you cannot reach things easily. Because of the ice maker/dispenser, the inside shelves of the door hardly hold anything! I'm betting I am forgetting even more of the items that have been plaguing us since this unit was delivered. One repair tech even told me I should consider putting it out in the driveway for a garage sale, hoping someone would unload it from me! Please don't consider Samsung! They make great electronics, but appliances? NO WAY! I have a stove from Samsung that I shall also submit a review for as well.

We purchased a Samsung French Door Refrigerator from Lowe's with an extended warranty for five years. After two months, we had to call repair service because there was no ice. Once the item is sold, Lowe's refers all responsibility to their (I quote) "We have contacted Service Advantage with this issue. A&E Factory Service is the service provider and will be contacting you for a resolution within 5-7 days." Today is the 7th day and no response. We have had 7-8 service calls on this refrigerator 7 for the same problem. When we called for service the second time, Lowe's informed us that the Service technician would determine whether or not the service call is covered under the warranty, this made us hesitant to keep calling on the same problem.

We still have no ice and only promises from Lowe's that 'Service Advantage' would contact us. (Isn't that similar to asking the fox to check the hen house to see if any chickens are missing?) We contacted Service Advantage 8 times, repairs made 8 times, nothing worked. We were told by Lowe's store manager that after 7 calls on the same problem the item would be declared a lemon. Samsung Refrigerators are beautiful to look at, but are totally unreliable and everyone that you talk to that owns one says they have problems with the ice maker.

Ice Dispenser freezes up and water leaks and pools undecrisper. Samsung repairman came out and said it would cost over $300.00 to repair and that there was no guarantee that he could fix it. It's very suspicious that even the Samsung repairman didn't even want to try to repair it. Samsung should give up making appliances. I'm VERY DISSATISFIED WITH THIS PRODUCT!

We have had our Samsung french door bottom freezer with middle drawer model RF28HMEDBSRAA refrigerator for only 2 years. The ice maker has ruined this refrigerator. This will make a 2nd time in replacement. It continues to freeze up and not work until you try to chip away ice and hope it will then continue to work. It makes very little ice at a time and have to wait for more to make. When trying to get in the ice maker to unfreeze is very hard to get into. I do not recommend this refrigerator.

I remodeled my kitchen and bought all new appliances for continuity. Samsung had a special going on with interest free purchase so bought their refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave. I am having difficulties with their dishwasher and refrigerator. Let's talk about the dishwasher first (model number DW80J3020US). This dishwasher does not work well at all. I pre-rinse before I load and yet it does not wash dishes clean unless on heavy wash with sanitize option. Even then, sometimes the dishes are not clean. I called Samsung customer service and we did some troubleshooting over the phone. That did not work, so she sent someone to look at the dishwasher.

The repair man came. He was super rude and short, he turned it on then turned it off and said nothing is wrong with the dishwasher. I need to buy a different dish washing soap. I told him that the soap would not cause the dishes to have black particles on the dishes also that I pre-rinse. He stated that Samsung only recommends the use of one type of soap. Then he told me that if I call to waste his time again then there would be a charge.

My refrigerator (model number RF23HCEDBSR/AA) is only one year old and the ice maker is not working. I called Samsung and the customer service rep. stated that I need adjust the leveling of the fridge and check that my water supply is enough to the fridge. She claimed that the front of the fridge must be higher than the back. I did as she told me yet. NO ICE and the water trickles out. I told her this and she insisted that it is my fault. I asked her to send someone out and she said I would be charged. I WOULD NEVER recommend any of Samsung's products to anyone.

Let's start with rust. Within the first 8 months, the entire front of this stainless, EXPENSIVE refrigerator that I bought at HOME DEPOT, was COVERED in rust spots. Home Depot said to look to the manufacturer warranty. However Samsung wouldn't do ANYTHING because they said that it did not affect functionality. The HECK?! If you bought a brand new car and it was covered with rust within the first year, heck, 3 years, don't you KNOW that the manufacturer would have either replaced or corrected. This brand is for crap. Let go to functionality. The humidity controlled drawers do NOT control humidity. They are CONSTANTLY wet and RUIN the foods placed in them NO MATTER THE SETTING. We have to keep towels in the bottom or take up space with boxes of Arm&Hammer. Ridiculous. The setting print on the drawers has already begun to WASH OFF, yes WASH OFF with just regular wipe downs.

This year and a half old fridge looks and functions as if it's TEN years old. I can't wait to get rid of it. Maybe I'll buy one of their cell phones and blow it up. The ICE MAKER... Also terrible. The ice doesn't fall evenly or have a guard on the back. So all of the ice falls into the back of the tray. When you open it, a rush of ice falls out the back of the freezer drawer. No idea how much is back there at this point. I suppose I'll have to get it out eventually... Somehow. Smaller inconveniences: The shelves in this 'fridge are completely white, not clear. So any small jar or other item you have stored in them will never be seen. And will likely be forgotten.

Additionally, the glass shelves are not removable like so many other refrigerators. So if you experience a spill, there's no way of getting the substance out of the crevices of the plastic and the glass. I literally hate this refrigerator. It's utterly worthless. And is NOT QUIET. If you're looking to buy a fridge and interested in this one, I've got one I'll sell ya CHEAP.

I purchased a French Door Samsung refrigerator. The refrigerator is dripping water down the inside back wall which pools under the crisper drawers and freezes. The first time I realized this the ice was nearly two inches thick and the drawers were hard to open. I called the company while at work, to discuss the issue and the representative input the phone # I called from and called me by a coworkers name, gave me their home address and phone number and began to discuss their previous concerns. This was private information and I asked for his supervisor. He would not allow me to reach the supervisor and I disconnected the call after 15 minutes of continuous requesting. That began my customer service problems. I contacted Lowe's because I bought the item there with the extended warranty.

Many hours, calls, and visits to the store later, they couldn't locate the warranty at first, and finally informed me that the warranty had expired and they could send a repairman out at my cost. I explained the problem being a manufacture defect. Per the Lowe's manager, my model has not been reported as having the issue, but several other models have been reported with this problem. Turns out that you can pay $299 of $4000 for an appliance and the warranty Lowe's provides is one year. Higher cost does not mean better quality or service.

Back to the refrigerator... I was able to locate a video on YouTube of a gentleman taking the inside of the same model refrigerator apart to thaw/defrost the drain tube so the water would not pool inside the refrigerator. This self-repair job is not what I purchased when I paid $2000 for the item. I believe Samsung should be sued on our behalf by our government and banned from selling products in the United States. Where is the consumer protection in this country and why isn't something being done about the junk Samsung is allowed to sell in the U.S.? I will never purchase another item from Samsung! EVER! I hate to think of the damage they will continue to do to the consumers.

The organization is out for huge dollars and based on the rating of 1 star, they are not interested in keeping the consumer. After all, the original sale is where they get the big bucks! My advice to all consumers is NEVER BUY SAMSUNG PRODUCTS, PERIOD!!! I will continue to share my experience any way possible to prevent as many people from becoming victims of this company scam.

I bought a Samsung French Door refrigerator (model #: R-260B EAEBC) back in Jan of 2015. It keeps leaking water under the large vegetable drawer and down onto my floor through the freezer. My ice maker is totally inconsistent and when it does drop ice, it's very noisy. Samsung insists that it is NOT a manufacturing issue and refused to cover the cost of having anyone sent out to service it. I'm furious with them, considering how much I paid for that refrigerator. I finally submitted a class action law suit against them.

We bought Samsung everything! From 2013-2015 we bought a stove, refrigerator, washer and dryer and none are now working. The refrigerator stopped making ice and when it was working we would have plastic pieces in our cup. After getting it repaired and paying the fees for them to come out and repair it 5 months later, the whole fridge doesn't work. It is no longer cooling or freezing anything and along with thousands of dollars down the drain for this refrigerator, hundreds of dollars on food is also gone.

We also bought a stove and the oven is no longer working. We use it as storage. The washer we bought was no longer spinning the clothes. So we replaced it with another product. The dryer who knows when that will stop working. I thought Samsung was a great company and their products would last long, but this is the worst thing to be wrong about. Thousands and thousands of dollars down the drain. Now we have to buy new appliances. Their customer service is no help and unfortunately we didn't read any reviews. Will never buy a Samsung product again and I will definitely post on social media and tell everyone looking for appliances to not purchase their products either, what a shame.

After less than three years our Samsung Refrigeration top has slowly gotten warmer and warmer. Samsung Phone support said "level the refrigerator" and that may fix it. Well that was way off. Didn't purchase the warranty, a big mistake. Samsung brand is Mud for me. The Technician said he is seeing many Samsung Refrigerators with this defrost thermostat issue. These Samsung refrigerators should be on re-call for this obvious defect. Do not buy Samsung!

#1. Ice maker froze up. From internet, learned this is a common defect. Had to trim plastic parts and dismantle ice maker to fix. #2. Very difficult to clean shelves and drawers. Gunk gets under glass and inside (!) of drawer fronts. You have to use a screwdriver to pry open plastic tabs. The prying process tends to chip the plastic permanently damaging the pieces. Other than these major design flaws, the refrigerator has kept food well. But being able to clean one's refrigerator easily without damaging it is such a basic critical design feature for me that I will steer me away from Samsung products in the future.

Only 2 years ago I bought the French Door refrigerator. Had problems with the ice maker but I figured I would put up with using a hair dryer every few months to get the frost/ice out. Then about 2 months ago, major fan noise. Then temperature goes to 54. Called Samsung. "Gee sorry it's not under warranty." "Well I need it fixed." "You have to use one of our certified repair companies." "When can they come out?" I ask. They couldn't get anyone out for 5 days. I needed a refrigerator fixed sooner. Had a serviceman come out. Main control board and heater both had to be replaced. $700. Then this week, same thing is happening. Called Samsung and they said someone would get back to me to schedule a repair. They contacted me 48 hours later, and tell me a repair person will be here in over a week. I see so many bad reviews reports... Why doesn't something happen with making Samsung do something about these similar issues???

And the repairmen explain the problem is from manufacturer. So he explain the every time my freezer froze we have to unplug and let thaw and plug it again and it works, but we have to do it every two months which is headed we still saving up for another fridge but totally different brand. Now start making so many sound but I still don't know where it comes from exactly. So regret these brand. Should just stick to phones and not for appliances.

This is a product defect, and they are not standing by it. After two year this unit started rusting on the water and ice dispenser tray. We have sent several notes and called Samsung to rectify this. NO! This company does not stand behind its products. I used to like this company. I will never buy another product from Samsung. We sent in our proof of purchase, we made many phone calls and they said it was cosmetic and not covered. This product is embarrassing in my kitchen. Korean Krap. I will go buy any other product but Samsung to replace this refrigerator today.

I am finding all Samsung products are crappy made. I bought a fridge little over yr ago and ice maker stopped working within 2 months. Had tech I paid for come out look at it, claimed fixed problems. Month later ice maker froze up, stopped working. Called Samsung, they send a tech which they want me to pay for while under warranty. They act like they were doing me a favor by paying for it. 2 weeks later it has stopped again, whole unit frozen solid. I called and yet again they will not paid to have it looked at. Why should I pay another 2-3 hundred dollars on top of over $2000 spent to buy it. Reading all the reviews on here. Action should be taken against Samsung to make the products work as intended just like auto makers do recall their junk and make them fix the problems.

We purchased Samsung washer, dryer, & refrigerator from Lowe's on Hilton Head Island. Nothing but trouble. Motor in washer and icemaker in fridge went out. We had to wait 3 weeks to have our washer serviced because they did not have an authorized service person in area. Today we paid $90.00 for a Samsung service person to come from Savannah GA to tell us that we need a $300.00 motor for the icemaker... plus labor... next week! Oh and by the way... Lowe's is not carrying Samsung appliances anymore because of problems... go figure!!!

I purchased this horrible Samsung refrigerator Model RF263BEABC from a local appliance company on 9/12/16. The sales person was really pushing the Samsung as being the greatest of all brands made. LOL. Then it started making a horrible loud gun-like popping/cracking noises at different times of the day. The popping is so loud it would wake me up at night and my sister said it sounded scary. I called the place I purchased and was told to call Samsung and it was not their problem. So I called and was told it was a normal sound from the temperature in the house adjusting with the refrigerator?

It still has not gotten any better so called them back and was told it would get better after the unit gets older? Today I called back to Samsung and informed the of a so called recall notice was sent out secretly in 9/16 to appliance techs about the popping noises and that they need to call for the parts to repair it. Well the man told me that was not true and no such recall was issued. This POS refrigerator was made in MEXICO. Beware of Samsung products. They are of poor quality and they are bunch of LIARS.

Waited a week for service dept to come to assess the problem with my refrigerator. Paid the service dept.$120.00 to tell me "yes, it's broken". Service came yesterday to tell me everything needs to be replaced. Water is pooling in the crisper, temp. not being held, sensor needs to be replaced, etc., etc... to the tune of 720.00. Now I have to wait 48 hours for a manager to get back to me. The refrigerator model # RF 263AERS was purchased in 2011 and is out of warranty. Can't believe that a refrigerator that cost over $1,000.00 should only last 7 years. Why do I have to wait 48 hours for a manager to "talk" to me. We are now going into week 2 with the fridge not working. Very unhappy with this product and even more unhappy with the customer service.

I purchased all my appliances from Samsung when I had my house built 3 years ago. Every one of the appliances already had serious issues with them except for the stove. Stay away from Samsung, the fridge has defrost / fan issues which require major tear down every year to defrost. The microwave heat sensor are cheap and need to be replaced. The dryer stops heating properly within 2 years and the wrinkle cycle does not work, it leaves your garment sopping wet.

The most expensive and worst ever refrigerator (Samsung RF267AE) I have with chronic problem freezing the drain water line causing water to accumulate at the bottom of the upper compartment. Remedies with copper shield and wire was tried to get rid of the ice in the drain but did not work. Eventually, the condenser motor got stuck with ice and stop keeping low temp. Main board was also replaced, on and on... NEVER AGAIN BUY Samsung fridge. PIECE OF JUNK!

Bought 5 new Samsung appliances in February and now the compressor in fridge has failed. Samsung will not replace fridge and I have to pay to have fridge removed from home to shop for repairs and back again. Now realizing that buying Samsung appliances was a huge mistake, never had luck with their DVD players and should have known better. Will stay away from Samsung in future for sure.

The repairman has been to our house at least twice now. After he came to fix the ice maker it stopped working just after his warranty for the work done that day. Today I'm looking for a new fridge and hoping they will take this p. o. s. in on trade because I know I won't get close to the price I paid if I sell it outright. It is not worth the stress to hang onto it. Never been so disappointed with a fridge. I cannot clean the outside water stains. The repairman said there's a product that will work but didn't know the name of it. The door seal is so thin that it had a worn spot. He didn't recommend replacing that. It's only 3 years old. My order number and receipt are on file here from my first review- to verify legitimacy.

My Samsung refrigerator model Rf260BEAEWW was delivered 5 days ago. I had to attach three handles which requires 6 small anchor screws. Only four were included, so I called customer service. After a 34 minute phone call with Samsung where I was continually made to feel not like a customer but as a person trying to scam them for two screws. They advised they had to determine if it was within 30 days and after giving them the serial # I also gave them the manufacturing date of June 2017. After 30 minutes, they told me I would then have to send them a copy of my receipt. It would then have to be approved to send these two screws.

Totally frustrated I went to the store I bought it. They called Samsung and the salesperson advised, "after an hour on the phone with their rep", they were going to contact me and arrange when a tech could come out and look at my refrigerator before it would be verified that I would receive these two screws. Still waiting, totally ridiculous. Obviously a very authoritative organization, lacking leadership and the ability to allow simple decisions to its employees.

I'm envious of the other reviewer who had to wait for major problems after 4 years. We've owned our French Door model costing approx. $2,600 for 2 years. Repaired ice maker 3 times and now it just gave up, spewing metal parts into the ice tray. The attached photo shows what you can expect to find in your ice. Samsung's Indian Service Dept. just says "we're so sorry, please upload photos and we will contact you." 4 weeks in, no response despite many phone calls. Do not waste your time calling Samsung service. Buy an appliance from a company that at least pretends to care e.g GE or Kitchen Aid. Too bad, it looks beautiful and has all the features we wanted, but it's garbage.

I purchased this (french door) refrigerator upon the purchase of our new home. After a year of having this appliance it started giving me problems. Freezing up, water building up in the bottom inside of the refrigerator. Had an appliance guy come out, he reset the computer part, it started working again for about 6 months. Called my home warranty again. Sent out another guy. He couldn't figure it out, sent out another guy. Stated to unplug the fridge. Let it completely defrost and then plug it back in. It started working again, one month later bam now not only the ice maker isn't working the water isn't working. Called my home warranty again, they disconnected something that should have never been put in there. Started working again, now no ice again water works.

Called Samsung, told them what I have been going through. They brushed me off. Spent over 1700.00 on this damn appliance that won't even make ice, the filter alone is 50.00 every 6 months to replace. Needless to say the bag of ice I have to buy every three days that cost 4.69, and Samsung just brushes you off. I am one pissed off consumer right now.

I absolutely dread the thought of ever dealing with another Samsung appliance. When purchasing for our new home in 2013 a top of the line French door refrigerator, top electric stove top/oven, and top dishwasher, I never imagined that each and everyone would provide major disappointment. I'm writing this 4 years into this expensive mistake (however the dysfunction has been long before this on these appliances) with the large purchase and each appliance is to put it kindly. My dishwasher which was previously serviced shortly after the warranty expired (I was given the oh so generous choice of purchasing a service contract) now has to be reassembled before each use as the water jet arms come apart.

My refrigerator was deemed a design flaw by a Samsung authorized repairman as the ice maker continually leaks, freezes up and stops making ice. He ran some caulk around the unit and said there is nothing else he can do (notice the ice maker is a disastrous design as reported in numerous complaints from what seems to be several makes and models). Other residents in our neighborhood had the same issue with this sorry excuse ice maker and after numerous complaints their warranty company deemed it a LEMON and had it replaced. This should also be followed up with some poorly designed pull out veggie drawers that again flawed design is next to impossible to clean, and a cheap thin door seal material that peeled off within the first year and is currently hanging on the door. This was noticed early on by a service repairman who worked on the ice maker and all he could say was, "That's pretty bad". Pathetic!!

My oven convection option has never worked and unfortunately I discovered it again out of warranty as I had not ever used the convection option before. Again - neighbors had the SAME ISSUE WITH THEIR CONVECTION LOWER FAN. It too was replaced with a new oven after numerous service calls. So glad I ordered an Electrolux microwave by mistake or Samsung would have been zero for four without a doubt. Why with all these negative experiences has Samsung not been called out by the government consumer protection agency and make them recall or offer viable fixes for these defective products?

I see all these state of the art appliance offerings by Samsung pitched by movie stars. Is no one at Samsung checking the absolutely awful reviews and answering for these poorly designed appliances? I think the top of the food chain at Samsung should have these gems in their homes and see how poorly they perform. Can you say waste of hard earned money? I unfortunately can.

We purchased a 4 door Samsung Refrigerator in 2015. Since then the ice maker has broken twice. Luckily we purchased an insurance policy on it. Presently I am waiting for a response from My Protection Plan360. They were responsive the first time around, hoping they will continue with good service. I won't purchase another Samsung Refrigerator again.

We have a fancy expensive lemon!! Buyer beware. DO NOT BUY!! The bottom freezer doesn't work and continues to leak despite numerous repairs done by Samsung. The side of refrigerator is bulging causing it to get stuck in between my kitchen cabinets. I called the fire department because I was scared of the leak and how hot the back of the refrigerator got. Sears repair has been to my home more than 4 times with no answers. They just replace parts and it still does not work. My next stop is the media if I don't get answer from Samsung.

First the reason for my review is to warn consumers about a Samsung refrigerator and I don't want them to make the same mistake that I made. If I could do it all over again, I would have kept my old refrigerator or got a different brand. I bought this mess of a refrigerator in September 2013. I bought a Samsung refrigerator for $1500.00 and a 5-year warranty with it. I am so glad I did because it’s been problems every since I had it. I had a technician come out to replace different parts on this refrigerator at least 3 times since 2013. The ice maker keeps messing up and not producing ice. If you leave the door open for at least 15 minutes then close the door, it won’t produce ice. The water freezes up and it won’t produce ice either. I hate I even bought this freakin Samsung refrigerator.

After my warranty is up, I will sell it and get another refrigerator. The only reason why I am keeping it is because it is still up under warranty. I will not be able to afford for a technician to keep coming out after the warranty has expired. Damn you Samsung and the people who put this refrigerator together. If I could shove this refrigerator up their butt, I would. Please, I'm begging the consumers, DON'T BUY A SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR!

In November of 2015 we purchased a Samsung refrigerator French door BLK SS unit model number RF263BEAESG. In June of 2017 we started having trouble with the ice maker not working, and frosting up. On June 30th 2017 I contacted Samsung and they put a online service request ticket in for me. They told me I would be notified within 3 business days of when someone could come and repair the refrigerator. On July 10th I received another email from Samsung support and it said that my ticket had been cancelled the email read as follows "your repair for service ticket has been cancelled. If you need service please contact us and it gave the phone number 1 800 Samsung. Thank you for your cooperation." Since then I tried to find someone in the local area that could come out and look at and or repair the unit. After several phone calls I was able to find someone that works on Samsung appliances.

On July 18th a service tech came to my house and told me I had three issues the ice maker was going bad the fan in the freezer was going bad and at this point it was making a horrendous noise and then the fan in the refrigerator in the back that whole unit needed to be replaced. The total cost for these repairs are going to be about $800. At this point I have a really tough decision to make do I dump an additional $800 into this refrigerator and hope that it lasts, or do I bite the bullet and buy another refrigerator from a different manufacturer. I have responded to the emails from Samsung support I have gotten no further response from them. I do intend to let them know what is wrong with the refrigerator and what it is going to cost to repair it. While I understand it is out of warranty, it is not even 2 years old yet and should not be having these major issues.

I will never buy another Samsung Appliance and I would never recommend to anyone that I know to buy one whether they are family friend or Foe. This has been such a disappointing experience for me. I can only hope that some attorney somewhere reads all of these complaints and puts together a class action lawsuit against Samsung. Someone needs to hold them accountable for making a product of such poor quality. People buy for the Samsung name because their Electronics have always been number one in the market. Their total lack of customer support has me wondering if I should even keep my Samsung smartphone. I find it hard to support a company that will not support its customers.

We purchased a Samsung refrigerator model #RFG298HDRS 5 years ago and have had issues with water leaking and freezing under the cool select pantry drawer. Some reviews say the leaking is caused by not using Samsung filters but we always use Samsung filters. We bought the extended warranty and had the heating element changed for free but now less than a year later we are having the same issue again! When you spend this much money on an appliance you expect it to work!

We bought a Samsung refrigerator in Dec. 2014 and had nothing but problems with it. This month we finally gave up and bought a Whirlpool product, trashing the 2 1/2 year old Samsung. The ice maker gave us problems from day one. Trying to release a batch of ice manually we broke the flimsy handle. This was reason enough for Samsung service to decline the warranty obligation. For some time we just would not use the ice maker. Then we had a $300 repair. At the same time we had ongoing problems with water collecting in the vegetable bins. The "fix" by Samsung service was "we will send somebody", meaning another $2-300 repair. This apparently is a very common Samsung problem. We cannot afford more costly service. Our regular appliance service person would "not touch" Samsung products. We know that Samsung makes good electronics (we happily own several of them) BUT NOT APPLIANCES!!!

I bought an expensive Samsung refrigerator less than 4 years ago. The freezer doesn't work on the bottom. The air leaked because the seals broke after first year of having it. A repair guy came over and said that's typical of all the Samsung refrigerators. No fix - cold air was escaping - then the handles started to break and the bottom tray was always filled with water. The refrigerator started to get really hot and ice machine broke... Now the refrigerator is broke. Won't get cold... Person at Samsung was super rude. To get someone out here to repair it is $150 just to have someone see what's wrong. It's junk - they are ripping consumers off! There are hundreds of 1 stars... Why isn't anyone shutting this foreign piece of crap company down.

Bought the French door with freezer at the bottom. I'll keep this short and to the point. Replaced the top ice maker 6 times and replaced lower ice maker 2 times. Top ice maker stopped working 2 times within a couple of weeks of being replaced. Thank God for buying extended warranty. Called Samsung twice directly and they brushed me off and seemed not to care about issues they have with their ice makers. Referred me back to warranty company. Not sure what we will do when warranty expires. Do not buy this refrigerator. You will be disappointed and if you do make the poor decision to buy Samsung refrigerator buy extended warranty.

Purchase French door refrigerator (stainless steel with door dispenser). The ice maker continually jams up due to condensation in ice maker causing ice to hang up and not drop into bin - creating a complete lockup... Samsung is telling me that my new appliance is out of warranty 2 months prior to my purchase date. Trying to get them to correct "their" error has been a nightmare as you have to talk to someone in India - and evidently communication is "lost in translation". The product is not worth the money $2398.96 and the customer service is terrible. 1st attempt to resolve 6-28-17 2nd 7-13-17. Whenever possible do business with companies that do not outsource their customer service - as communication regarding an error is not comprehended.

Recently bought a home that had fairly new Samsung appliances. Not thrilled with brand to begin with. After experiencing several service calls, I will NEVER EVER BUY SAMSUNG APPLIANCES. Fridge was leaking, tech came and cleaned lines. Thought it was resolved. Then we had problems with ice maker. Did some kind of service. Didn't resolve loud banging noise. (2 service calls) Had to buy brand new ice maker... another service call. Fridge started leaking again.

My research concluded that the line behind back wall needs a "clip". Wall has to be totally removed and line repaired... another $189. OR we can shut down fridge overnight and it will resolve. Well, that worked... for a month. Now I have the pooling of water under the produce shelf which ultimately leaks onto floor. Do I dare call the service tech again??? What else is lurking after this problem? Way too many problems with these expensive and newer appliances! Do you know if there is a class action suit regarding these appliances, and if so... I'm IN!

Our brand new refrigerator broke so we called, it took them a week to come, another week to get the part, another 2 weeks to get another part. It's now been 4 1/2 weeks. I said after the first 2 1/2 weeks they should replace the fridge. Samsung... said no. I am disabled and I don't drive. My husband travels and we live in the country so we buy a lot of food and then he flies out. We had just stocked the fridge. I lost over 1000K in food the first time. I called and spoke with a guy about getting reimbursed on the food loss and he said "List everything" and they would jump on it. A rude lady called me back after the fridge was "fixed" and said Samsung only gives out 200$ as a courtesy. Why did I go through all the hassle of listing everything if they only give 200$. I forgot to mention that my medicine has to be refrigerated so we had to go get ice every day and again I don't drive.

It was horrible. My poor son had to go get us food every day and that was a terrible expense because eating out is so expensive. So now for the worst part. Three weeks later the refrigerator broke again. I called this time and said "I just want the money to replace. Please hurry because we can't go buy a new one until we get the money from the old one." That was 6-21-17... It's now 7- 12-15. I was told it should only take 2-3. It's been three weeks and when you load my ticket number in the website it does not give any information. When the refrigerator broke the second time... (YES IT BROKE AGAIN). I even told the ride lady that it was not running well when she called about the first 200$. She said she would have someone call me to set up repairs etc. I never got that phone call. I lost another fridge full of food. So I get one more 200$. That's all! I just now got an update on the first 200$.

That took 2 months. If it takes that long to get the money for the refrigerator it will be terrible for my family. I'm not sure what to do? Every time I call everyone says that they will try and get whomever to speed up the process but so far it has been a nightmare. It has caused so much more than just a loss from a fridge. It's been a terrible domino effect. But so far I have lived with no refrigerator for 2 1/2 months... Could you do that? I have had company during this time twice. My son graduated high school and the whole family came. Something should be done and Samsung owes me something more than just replacement cost of my refrigerator. I'm very upset. If you can help me please let me know.

I will NEVER buy another Samsung product ever again. BUYER BEWARE. To say I am frustrated and disappointed would be a gross understatement!!! We purchased our Samsung French Door fridge RF31FMEDBSR 3 yrs and 4 months ago. We spent $2200 on it thinking we were buying quality. Boy were we wrong!!! The seal has disintegrated twice, the ice maker works on and off and the shelf on the door came crashing down one morning on my son's foot sending glass jars crashing all over the floor and bruising his foot. I can no longer affix the shelf as the door is torn down to the insulation.

I have attempted to get straight answers on this since Dec 21, 2016. I have noted names and dates of people I have spoken to each time. Like many others I was told to contact EEFIX a local authorized repair company to come out and "diagnose" the problem to the tune of $80. I was also told that I would be reimbursed for that cost once EEFIX uploaded the info on their end. Let the merry-go-round begin.

I did everything I was told to do, and all I got was a lot of empty promises and now what seems to be untruths. Fast forward to today, Mr. Derek in Greenville proceeded to tell me that Samsung would do nothing because EEFIX did not leave any documentation. Of course, I called myself, to hear that they couldn't diagnose that the door was defective but broken. HECK!!! I knew that! What did I pay $80 for? Where is my refund? Oh I know Samsung isn't in the business to service just take money for cheap products that they are well aware are having issues. This is my 1st stop, next will be BBB and then small claims court. I will become their worst social media nightmare. All I want is my refund and door fixed.

We purchased a Samsung refrigerator and stove a year ago. The first time I went to use the self-clean feature on the stove the main component fried. It was Thanksgiving week and a time I really needed the oven. It took 2 weeks for a repairman to fix the problem. Two weeks ago we started having problems with the ice maker in the refrigerator. Slushy ice and at times, we'd just get a handful of water. Upon research (I know, something I should have done before the purchase), I learned that it is a common problem with Samsung refrigerators/ice makers. People were told they had to empty the thing every 6 months or so, unplug it and let it defrost! Seriously?? In this day and age? The thing is supposed to be "frost free". So upset with this purchase! I would avoid Samsung in the future if looking for appliances. They look good, but break down within a year of purchase.

I bought my Samsung French Door fridge November of 2013. The ice maker has frozen up several times and has cost $700-$1000 to thaw. It's because the door flap gets turned in and you cannot tell the doors didn't shut. Samsung could replace the flap on the door with one that would latch like the newer models. Samsung needs to get out of the appliance business. Read the reviews. Their appliance products are terrible.

We purchased a new model french door RF263TEASESR Samsung refrigerator 4 years ago. Recently the bottom ice maker in the pull-out freezer stopped making ice. The top ice maker still works but continues to ice up on the outside and will not defrost. I contacted a local tech for repairs and once he heard Samsung - he refused to visit for repairs. Mentioned lack of parts, difficulty of design for making repairs, lack of technical help from call center, etc. I went to Lowe's, where we purchased for a recommendation and was told that they had no suggestions for help. Local techs had actually called them and told them not to send these repairs to them. I asked if they still sold Samsung products and he said YES. Unbelievable! My only recourse was to try to contact a Samsung regional repair center which I assume I'll have to do as no local service is available.

Do not EVER buy a Samsung appliance. I bought a refrigerator in April 2016. Within 5 months both ice makers quit working and a fan motor had to be replaced. 7 months later, the fan motor started making a loud noise again, so I bought the extended warranty. I called for service and was told that they would not come out for a loud noise (it was extremely loud).

Finally, both ice makers quit working again and then the freezer quit working. I have spent the last 3 weeks trying to get someone to come fix it. Each time they tell me that someone will call within 24 hours to schedule a visit. Nobody ever does. The 2 companies that they assigned it to refused to do the work. Now they are telling me that they have nobody in the area to do the work.

Today I spent an hour on the phone being transferred to wrong departments. Then they started me all over again and tried to assign the work to the same 2 companies that refused to do the service. I'm extremely frustrated and will NEVER, EVER, buy another Samsung product. TN has a lemon law, and when this refrigerator goes out again (because I know that it will), I will fight the battle to get my $$ back.

Dual cooler, French door model. RF28HFEDBSR. This model, and other Samsung models, will not adequately defrost automatically. This eventually will cause ice to accumulate on the coils and it stops working. This requires the owner to empty the contents and manually defrost the refrigerator for a day or two. Needless to say, this is major abnormal event! Samsung will not acknowledge nor remedy this problem. Note: This is a replacement unit for an identical model that had other problems.

I have purchased Samsung Refrigerator in October 2013. Very soon there is problem of fridge. Just stop getting cold & filled the gas by Samsung. Again there is problem of stop the cooling. Called Samsung technician told there is problem of PCB & we dont have PCB right now. It will come one week later. After one week they told the same thing. We dont have & dont know when it will come. After 15 days company service center told me that its PCB, compressor, relay is damage approx cost of 15000/- & demanding advance money then only they will do what Samsung told after 15 days. It’s very difficult to without refrigerator 2-3 days. Samsung company is not for refrigerator. My advice to all please do not buy Samsung Refrigerator.

The refrigerator is a French door model sold for over 2000.00 dollars purchased at Lowe's. Started out Lowe's delivered the wrong model, no ice or water in door. They then told me the one I ordered was no longer available so I would have to pay 300.00 more as this one was not on sale. I paid it, was delivered and the doors were put on wrong. Parts were missing. They did send missing parts. Put them in myself. The refrigerator is noisy, there is no fix. That's The Way They Are. The worst problem is that the tube in the back, behind the back cover, freezes solid, so the water from defrost cannot drain down. So the water fills up the bottom of the fridge and runs on the floor. If you have wood floors make sure you have a pan under it.

Samsung has no service in Milwaukee area or nearby cities, then after 2 years offered to cover replacement parts. Problem is I cannot find an authorized service within 50 miles and to come out it would cost 200 plus dollars. Plus they will not tell me what the fix is even though they have this problem with all their refrigerators. Samsung is the worst product I have purchased. And Lowe's should not sell appliances. They are no help.

Unless someone chose to make it right, which they won't, I would never buy a refrigerator ever again from Samsung. Absolutely, hands down, the worse decision I made. Spent nearly $2,000 and I would have been better off keeping my 20 year old Kenmore that ran very well but was outdated. I've always used Samsung products, from TV's to phone, however this item rusted within a year (no, no harsh chemicals were ever used and water was quickly dried off). Fan motor went in 2 years. Fan motor was under warranty so no problem, however rusted doors were never covered as they were "cosmetic." Samsung's products are purchased precisely for that reason - they're beautiful. But trust me, they are garbage. Samsung didn't want to make it right - so no more TV's... I am an iPhone guy now... never again until they make it right.

Samsung Refrigerator Model RF23J9011SR/AA: First, the things I like - this counter depth re-frig is great for us as we are both retired and the amount of food storage is reduced because we eat less at home now. The ability to convert 1/4 of the unit from refrigerator to freezer is great and we have done so on several occasions. It is quiet and keeps the tempts inside each area at my desired temperatures.

NOW for the bad -- this unit has a 12 month warranty and is now 18 months old --- the ice maker storage is much too small - we run out of ice all the time. We have always has issues with excessive condensation coming from the ice maker unit. The owner’s manual advised to disable the energy saver option, which I did, and it got better but did not eliminate the condensation. We owned this unit for 15 months when the ice maker started to malfunction. It would stop making ice. I discussed with Samsung to a person that would pull up a troubleshooting guide on their computer and offer suggestions. They were well trained as they acted as if this is the first time an ice maker has caused any problems. I went through the drill of suggestions and the unit continued to make ice, but at a slower pace. The Samsung person said they would call back in 4 hours to see if the suggestions worked - still waiting for that call back.

At 18 months the ice maker stopped again. I tried all the earlier suggestions, but nothing worked. I called Samsung again and started the same drill. This representative (who I required to repeat most everything as their heavy accent was difficult to understand) did not appear to know anything about appliances but did act like constant ice maker problems is a rare occurrence. When they confirmed my unit was out of warranty and asked if they could arrange a technician to come out. I declined their offer as I feel a less biased repair person would tell me what is actually going on.

The technician I had called advised me that about 70% of all ice maker repairs he does is on Samsung refrigerators. He said the cause of all their problems is the lack of a seal between the ice maker and the rest of the refrig. The lack a seal causes heavy condensation (remember that) and final freeze up of the ice maker unit. He showed me the ice in all the parts of the ice maker and another slab of ice behind the unit that was removed with steam. Because all the parts are plastic, the unit cannot function when the condensate freezes up - the plastic parts are not strong enough to push through the Ice. Then the unit burns up and stops.

The ice maker was removed, sealant was applied to the inside and outside of the ice maker unit, and a new Samsung ice maker was installed. It has been 48 hours and the unit is now making ice faster than in the past and all condensation has stopped. Samsung has now LOST a customer because they did not apply $0.25 worth of sealant on my refrigerator. Do not buy a Samsung product - if you already have a Samsung refrigerator, have applied some Dow Corning Sealant on the outside of the ice maker unit - on the inside as well if possible.

I bought a brand new Samsung refrigerator from Sears. We noticed these loud clanking, whirring and groaning noises from the first day it was delivered. At first we thought maybe it was just making these terrible noises due to cooling down and it would stop eventually. It never did. I called Sears a couple days past the 30 days since we received it and they told me that I had to call Samsung and that it would be covered under my warranty. So, I called Samsung, who scheduled a service appointment with me. These two guys who barely spoke English advised me that the noise was caused by my ice maker, so they turned the ice maker off and left, saying the noise should be resolved now. Well...I SHOULD be able to use my ice maker....right??? Brand new fridge and the SOLUTION is not to USE my ice maker??? HUH???

So, fast forward to the next scheduled visit by the Samsung repair guys. Same guys. They tell me that the ice maker is BACK ON. I advised that I didn't even know where it was to turn it on. They said they turned it off, and left. Assuring me that the noises are perfectly normal. Just don't use my Ice maker. WHATEVER. Brand new Fridge! I can't use my ice maker? That's the solution?!

Next Samsung visit. I asked for a different technician. They send out a new guy, who tells me that the issue is a bar like thing from the freezer. He says he will schedule the repair and parts. Admits that the noises are NOT normal. Next scheduled visit, the same two original guys show up again and they have a fan, and some other parts THAT are OBVIOUSLY NOT what was shown to me and needed replacement. So, I ask them to CALL the last technician and find out what they were to replace. SOOOO... they leave and say that a different technician needs to replace the part.

Next scheduled visit, the manager shows up and says that he hears the sounds and it's the MOTOR and the COMPRESSOR. The MAIN working operational parts for a fridge!!! So, they schedule another visit with THOSE parts. Next visit, they replace the motor and the compressor in my now 2 month old refrigerator. AND IT"S STILL MAKING THE NOISES!

I asked for a replacement, since now I have essentially a REFURBISHED BRAND NEW REFRIGERATOR... and SAMSUNG customer service tells me... get this...The sounds coming from my refrigerator are NORMAL! I can hear the thing making groaning noises like it's dying from the opposite end of the house, at approximately 1,000 ft away!

SAMSUNG and their outsourced technicians are a racket/scam and they are making a fortune by ignoring their responsibilities to honor the warranty. They won't fix the issue, and they also won't replace. Now, I will be faced with hiring an attorney... simply because of the principle of the matter. I'm tired of consumers being taken advantage of. I have a shiny refurbished piece of crap in my kitchen. Likewise, I have a 20 year old perfectly running, quiet refrigerator in my garage that I paid a fraction for and have NEVER had a single issue with it. Lesson learned here folks, is NEVER, EVER, EVER buy a Samsung refrigerator. EVER.

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator five years ago and the fridge just stop getting cold. We called the customer service and it just so happens that my warranty was only for five years. They charged us $125. Just to come out to look at it and was here for only 20 minutes. It needs 2 parts (so they say). I will never purchase another Samsung appliance. A refrigerator should last more than 5 years. I purchased at Best Buy and do not have my receipt because the receipt fades.

It seems that we are not the only ones to experience water/ice machine problems. Our fridge is under two years old. It has always leaked out of the water dispenser and down the side door after dispensing ice. The water coming out is never cold. Last night I used the water dispenser and it got stuck on dispense. I tried to stop it by pulling/pushing the lever, but it continued to spill all over the floor. We had to quickly shut off the water behind it. It continues to leak and Samsung says this is not covered. Ridiculous. $2600 fridge breaks in less than two years and it is not under warranty??? Worst fridge ever! I hope that there is a recall on these components. They should not be doing this within the 5 years.

Where to begin: the clear plastic fronts of all of the door shelves cracked and fell off. Some door shelves simply fell out and broke as well. The center deli drawer sticks requiring serious pulling to get it open. The hinges for the cover for the deli drawer broke at the pivots which are built into the refrigerator. The cover also fell out and cracked. Our house is not air-conditioned. When the temperature gets into the 80's, the refrigerator's control computer does not like that and the control panel blinks on and off, turning on and off all of the functions (upper ice maker, lower ice maker, crushed ice, water) and the temperature control randomly switches as well. The lower ice maker fell off after a few months. Samsung would not help.

I engaged a private repair company who indicated that they had seen that happen before. A few weeks after he replaced the ice maker, it broke again. The repair company indicated that they would not/could not guarantee any repairs on the Samsung refrigerator. At this point, there is no lower ice maker at all. Upon several occasions, the upper ice maker flap jammed open. And as other reviewers have mentioned - Samsung customer service is about the worst one could imagine. In all, the terrible experiences that we have had with this refrigerator have given us one clear path forward: NEVER, EVER purchase any Samsung refrigerators!!!

Unit stopped cooling. I have a $800 bill on a fridge that is 2-years old (out of warranty). $663.10 + $113 non refundable diagnostics call. Almost $800 on a 2-year old fridge. I want to know if Samsung cares about the integrity and quality of their products. I would like Samsung to help me out on this problem (T9000 refrigerator stopped cooling in the main refrigerator area). I built my kitchen around this product that seems to be garbage. Model: RF32FMQDBSR. S/N W76643BFA00409P. List of problems: 1) Compressor. 2) Inverter board X2. 3) PCB Main. 4) Evaporator. 5) Materials + labor.

We purchased a 3 door Samsung refrigerator Jan, 4 2016. The ice maker drips water through the ice dispenser and several times ice has lodged in the maker preventing new ice to drop and consequently build up ice. The repairman says this is a common complaint and we can either replace the ice maker ($500), shut the entire refrigerator down for 48 hours to let everything thaw or use a hair dryer to try to help the thawing process. He says it is an engineering flaw involving the air flow. Of course once you melt the ice it will happen again. I paid $3000 for this appliance and based on the amount of bad reviews I just now read regarding Samsung refrigerators, Samsung should for pay for this consistent problem to be repaired.

I just bought a Samsung French door refrigerator "rf263beaesg" and waited 2 hours for the unit to get cold. The inside temperature has not changed one degree! I called the company I bought it from. No help. The lady answered the phone gave me the number to Samsung. They offered no help except to say I have to wait 24 hours. I wished they would have told me that before my old fridge was towed out! Meanwhile I've bought cheaper refrigerators and they were cold in less than an hour. $1400.00 fridge, 24 hours. Go figure. Technology failed in this case! So is that how it's an energy saver by not working?

In less than a year, our refrigerator began having problems. The cooling fan begins making a noise as the ice builds up around it until the ice stops the fan from spinning. At this point the fridge stops cooling. The fix involves taking everything out of the fridge, opening up the back, and using a hair dryer to melt the ice. This takes approx 45 min to complete. The ice will continue to build up and the process must be repeated every 2-3 months.

In addition, the ice maker is poorly built. The water comes out at a weird angle and most people who use it for the first few times end up hitting the side of their cup and water goes everywhere. The ice also comes out all over the place and misses the cup, ending up all over the floor. The ice maker itself also began to drip water, requiring paper towels set below it that need to be replaced several times a day. Based on a video online I just watch, this may be caused from the seal at the base of the ice maker. I am currently testing out a fix. To top things off, the ice will freeze together inside the ice maker, creating a huge ice dam. It's fun to find out this has happened when you have guests over only to find out you don't have any ice ready for them.

Overall, this product is a huge disappointment and I do not recommend a Samsung refrigerator to anyone in the market. If you are reading this you probably have realized how many complaints there are, and they STILL HAVE NOT FIXED THE ISSUES WITH THE NEWER MODELS!!!

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator in 2010. I had an extended warranty on the fridge. During the 5 years of the warranty I had to have it repaired 6 times for the same problem which is the back keeps freezing up and will not defrost. For the last 2 years I bought another warranty from Sears. They came out every 4 months to defrost and replace the fan and the defrost sensor. I called Samsung and they refuse to give me my money back for the unit. The customer service is horrible. So if you have any sense DONT BUY. I paid $1,995 for this model. Now they are stating they will only give me $427.00 because it has depreciated in the seven years of owning it.

Our fridge was just over a year and the circuit boards were fried. Called Samsung, they didn't care. The repairs will be close to $1000. Might as well just buy another. I thought Samsung was a reputable company. Our old fridge wasn't even a big name, lasted 11 years... probably still going. DON'T BUY A SAMSUNG FRIDGE!!! I would suspect all appliances are crap.

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator 2015 and have had nothing but problems with this refrigerator. It seems there was a service bulletin issued in 2014 regarding my serial # and stated that all units will have this corrected before leaving manufacturing plant since they aware of it. I purchased mine in 2015 and sure enough my refrigerator was not repaired. Luckily I purchased the extended warranty. But now my icemaker keeps stop making ice about every three months! In fact I am calling the extended warranty people here in a bit. DO NOT...DO NOT PURCHASE A SAMSUNG refrigerator...Samsung takes no responsibility whatsoever to make this right!

My sister and I both bought this refrigerator for our new construction home in December 2015. Luckily hers hasn't done this. But 16 months later mine started making this loud noise coming from the upper back part of fridge. It's so loud. I Googled and found numerous people are having same problem. I've tried the blow dryer. Didn't work. Tried defrosting only to return 1 week later. I sure don't want to start taking apart, nor should I have to. This fridge is heavy. Our washers were both recalled, in which only partial cost reimbursed. Now I am frustrated because feel no one should have issues with any product, especially after only 16 months. What am I suppose to do now. I thought Samsung would be a super brand. Now I hate it. What is being done about this company selling crap products. I'll go American from now on.

Called Samsung customer service to schedule repair of our French door refrigerator with dual ice maker. Rust has developed around the water/ice dispenser. It was purchased in 2012 and warranty ended one year later. I found many reports of this same issue online by other customers. They said they would not send anyone to repair it as it is considered "cosmetic". I offered to pay for corrections although from all reports there is a design flaw causing water to leak around the dispenser box. They still refused to schedule a service. I've escalated request to executive customer relations. Also, reporting to the Better Business Bureau. Question if there any existing Samsung refrigerator class action lawsuits.

We purchased Samsung double French door refrigerator in July 2015. Today it stop cooling and it's not defrosting even though it is supposed to defrost itself. The technician had to manually take off the back of the fridge and manually defrost it. The problems came from the 2 sensors on the back (inside). The repair costs $150 for parts and labor. MY ADVICE TO ALL: NOT TO BUY ANY SAMSUNG FRENCH-DOOR REFRIGERATOR. IT'S A VERY BAD DESIGN!

2014 French door refrigerator 6 months ice maker broken. 4 service calls for broken ice maker then for some reason it worked for 1 1/2 year, then 3 service call in one week for ice maker - water leaks. Finally and I mean FINALLY Lowe's has decided they have spent too much money on this unit and are giving us a replacement, I'll believe it when it arrives and this piece of CRAP is gone. DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG... unless you like to mop water and enjoy warm drinks.

About 5 years ago I purchased a Samsung RF217ACRS wide french door refrigerator. This unit has been nothing but trouble since about 1 day after the warranty ended. In the past 2.5 years I have spent about as much money on repairs as on the original purchase. The control panel continues to freeze up, ice blocks the drain, the panel has been replaced twice, several other parts have been replaced yet nothing appears to solve the problem of water all over the bottom of the unit. The vegetable bins always have water in the bottom. Each repair person that has been to the house has reiterated that they intensely dislike working on Samsung however their appliances keep them in business. I will never purchase a Samsung appliance again.

Unfortunately for me, I didn't read reviews prior to making my purchase. We bought a 4-piece appliance group at a Black Friday event at a local retailer. I hadn't had an ice maker working in my previous fridge for 5-6 years on a 21 year old product. So, needless to say, I was tickled to finally have new appliances with a working ice maker!

We had the appliances delivered and hooked up around the first of the year. Within a month and a half the ice maker quit working. We put in a service call and waited. Within about week and a half the technician arrived and swapped out the entire ice maker components. Working again! Apparently, the water line didn't line up right within the unit and the overspray of water iced up the unit eventually.

About a month later, same thing happened. Put in a service call, complained about our unit being a lemon and needing to be replace. "Sorry sir, we have to have at least 2 service calls before we consider replacing a unit." After waiting for almost a month, technician arrives, replaces all the ice unit components again. Working again! And, the technician said "I'll be coming back" as he was leaving. Hummm.

About 3 months later, the unit completely stopped making ice. Once again, I've called the customer service, complaining about my unit being a lemon needing to be replaced. Here I am two weeks after that call. No ice, no calls within 24-48 hours which is how everything happens at Samsung apparently. My case was given to a validation group, and I'd be getting a call from an Executive in 24-48 hours.

8 days later, I get a call this morning from an "Executive". She wasn't there to soothe my concerns but rather to inform me that my issue had been sent to a review board. And, they would be contacting me in 48-72 hours... Oh crap! Also during this conversation I was informed that my 1-year warranty was NOT a product warranty but rather a SERVICE warranty, and that they will likely be sending a technician out again for another service and there was NO guarantee they would be considering the replacement of my product. Despite raising my blood pressure and me speaking my disapproval, she ups her attitude, and goes rude on me and we get nowhere. I'm waiting the determination of the 'review board'.

I call up my retailer, and basically get the "it's not our problem" routine. I ask, "so, what happens when my warranty runs out?" "Oh, sir, you can purchase an extended warranty"... And there my friends is the scam. Samsung's product is crap. Samsung's customer service is horrendous, unless you like banging your head on the wall and getting nowhere... In 24-48 hours.

I should not have to Google up how to unfreeze a Samsung ice maker on a brand new unit! Be careful to read your warranty, it's not a replacement warranty, it's a service warranty... Service their way to the 1-year expiration, and wash their hand of you. Unless of course, you spend more money and buy an extended warranty. Do yourself a huge favor. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG APPLIANCE, product is crap and customer service is horrendous at best.

Called Trail Appliances about icemaker and they sent a tech. He showed up with no tools and stated "Oh a low temp icemaker. There is nothing I can do and if you do not like it, call Samsung." I did that and got nowhere with them either. Stay away from Samsung products, they suck. We are going back to LG.

This has to be one of the worst refrigerators (Samsung 28.5 capacity, French door with freezer below) ever made. The ice maker would make ice sporadically. Sometimes there was enough ice to get through a day. Most of the time we had to rely on trays of ice that we purchased separately out of frustration. The shelves that hung on the doors were so poorly designed that they often broke off which caused many disasters with broken condiments and such. I know the shelving problem is not isolated to our refrigerator. A friend had the same model and every one of his shelves were also broken. Currently my shelving is patched together with tons of duct tape. Now to make things worse only 7 years old and the compressors has stopped working. I would caution anyone who is considering a Samsung refrigerator to reconsider.

Worst refrigerator EVER! Within a couple of months the bottom plastic piece cracked, there was ice in the bottom of the pull out drawer that froze, and NOW... The entire freezer quit and I lost tons of food! Since it is a dual cooling system my refrigerator section is also warm. I complained to Samsung and was informed that I "put" a heavy item on the bottom and that's why the plastic cracked. NOT!!! I've had refrigerators for years and NONE OF THEM EVER CRACKED!!! Even if I did put a 22-pound turkey on it! BOTTOM LINE: PIECE OF CRAP!!! DO NOT BUY! YOU WILL REGRET IT!

My experience with this Samsung 3 door fridge has been very disappointing. I have never spent over 2000.00 on a fridge for it to cost more than 1000.00 in repairs only 2 years later. It constantly freezes up, ice cube maker doesn't work, the freezer door handle snapped the middle where doors close broke off. I need a new fridge after 2 years and spending over 3000.00.

I purchased Samsung Refrigerator from hhgregg a little over two years ago. I paid good money for it but it is cheaply made, the plastic on the doors crack easily and the outside dents with the slightest touch! On top of everything else in the short amount of time I've had it, the refrigerator side is currently not working! My refrigerator is at 59 and my food is spoiling as I wait for repairman to come. I'm extremely disappointed. Don't buy.
